Optimism, Part 3: The Practice of Optimism , Optimism is the faith that leads to
achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Positive thinking
is the true meaning of hope in the world that can lead to many great successes and
can bring confidence. For example, as my softball season started up last year I knew
I was going to struggle especially knowing my team would be getting a new coach.

on it with optimismand eventually my skills and my ability to use optimism

Optimism can definitely lead to obtaining set goals such as last semester when I
decided to enter for the Hugh O Brien Youth Leadership Scholarship (HOBY)
Award during which I had to set certain goals to succeed in the next step. Through
the entire process, I used optimism to guide me through my challenging goals
which helped me to obtain the scholarship. Not only can optimism lead to success
in educational goals but in athletic goals as well. During any athletic game, in this
case for me softball, I found that using optimism to learn from errors can lead to

standard, to regain trust from customers. Lawsuits for Wages The biggest threat for
Zappos will be the low wages offered to their employees, with customer service
representatives paid $11/hour, while warehouse workers paid $8.25/hour. With
average customer service representatives salary of $23,000, this is 3% below the
national average salary. Although Zappos has an amazing work environment, their
non competitive customer service representatives wages might expose themselves to

The use of mise en scene in John Ford s classic western is very important when it
comes to conveying the meanings and effects in My Darling Clementine . This essay
will study the mise en scene of the film, to explore the meaning of violence and the
effects of civilization on the frontier.
The effects of civilization are very apparent in the film, as it seems that Ford has tried
to explore the juxtaposition of civilization and wilderness. Henry Ford s character,
Wyatt Earp, an ex Marshall who is herding cattle west to california with his brothers,
acts as a kind of catalyst for the town s civility. Whilst, himself, transitioning from a
rugged western Cowboy to a Town Marshall who is considered a pillar of the

Earp stays in the town of Tombstone as a Marshall for personal gain, to avenge his
brother, but eventually becomes more and more civilized as the narrative
progresses, navigating the grey area between good and bad, and frontier
wilderness and civilization. This idea of Earp being a transitional character is
represented in many ways via the mise en scene of the film. One of these ways is
how Wyatt Earp is often framed stood in doorways, if one side of the door
represents the wilderness and the other civilization, then to have Earp stood in the
doorway may be representative of the middle ground that he stands on as a
transitional character. Ford also uses doorways throughout the film to blur the lines
of which side the wilderness is really on, when the Earp brother s first arrive in the
town of Tombstone, it is represented as wilder and more dangerous than the frontier.
