My lifetime intrigue with tattoos has led me to research the history and culture surrounding tattooing. I
have already collected several pieces, both small and large, on my body and am endlessly curious
about the culture of body modification. The objective of my research is to discover the ancient history
of body art, the social and cultural significances and stigmas of tattoos, as well as to discover the
process of getting a custom tattoo. After defining my objectives and doing preliminary research, I have

about how black people in that time did not accept segregation. Martin Luther King also made
important points in his speeches about segregation and how during this time black people decided to
make a change. The movement in the Alabama Black Belt lasted the longest and many people do not
acknowledge that fact. Even after all the protests started to fade away from the headlines, black people
in Alabama continued to protest for freedom. Many black citizens in Alabama began to realize that
there were other white people in Alabama who also wanted to end segregation. In Lowndes County,
Alabama, there was a rich man who owned thousands of acres of land, named Harrell Hammonds.
Hammonds was a probate judge who raised cattle and grew cotton on his farm. Hammonds was also

The porosity of the borders of most ECOWAS countries has led to the mammoth rise in the rate of
cross border crimes, ranging from drug trafficking, human trafficking, tax evasion to money
laundering. This rise has not only expanded, but has multiplied these crimes to a more sophisticated
type with a crippling effect on the local economy and international relations of these countries.
These increase can be linked to the ready ease with which humans and goods could travel between
these ECOWAS countries, whilst the developments in technology has further facilitated the transfer of
the proceeds from such criminal activities in ways hitherto unknown, this led to the swift rate at which
money laundering amongst these countries developed5. Other economic and financial crimes, for
example, drug trafficking and human trafficking also grew in limps and bounds, thus contributing to
the growth in the incidence of money laundering and financial terrorism.
By reason of the fact that the global agenda to curb financial crimes calls for cooperative approach
among countries in addressing these challenges, introducing a number of international legislations on
money laundering and financial terrorism became a necessity. The treaties includes; the United Nation

Wilfred Owen was able to capture many ideas, concepts, and perceptions that cleverly portrayed into

himself as ...an increasingly self critical one. Owen was quite dedicated to his work and he let nothing

was to navigate through the war zone. In the third stanza, Owen switches to a form of fate, in which he
relates how this may have been the fate of the man. He forms these thoughts with words phrases such
as wild chattering , crumps , Pummelled , or slogged the air , that imply how the feeling of dread
metaphorically listens for these words before striking . The Sentry is quite different from any of the

Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote the The Charge of the Light Brigade on December 2nd, 1854, and it was
then published on December 9th. This poem was written following the disastrous Battle of Balaklava,
between the British Light Brigade forces and the Russian forces (Connors 3). Alfred Lord Tennyson
wrote this poem to commemorate the lives lost, and it seems to be littered with Biblical allusions.
Specifically, this poem has striking diction similarity to Psalm 23 from the King James Version of the
Bible. This discovery spurs the question of whether Alfred Lord Tennyson was directly influenced by
the Psalm, and if so, in what way?
The Charge of the Light Brigade was written when Lord Tennyson learned of the carnage at the
decisive and devastating Battle of Balaklava for the British. The battle was initiated when the overall
commander of British forces, Lord Raglan, ordered the Light Brigade to follow but not to attack the
Russian enemy. Through the chain of command, this message was distorted and then one of the
commanders, Lord Nolan, drove the final nail in the coffin as he ambiguously ordered the troops to
seize the Russian guns as he gestured in the general direction of both the hilltop redoubts and the
