Advantages Of Flameless Candles
For many years, candles have been used to create a calming and relaxing mood. Over the last few
years, flameless candles have become increasingly popular as a replacement for regular candles. These
new battery operated candles look practically identical to regular candles. They even have that same
flickering, glowing light that everyone loves. However, these breakthrough candles have several
advantages over the old fashioned ones. Here are some of the reasons why flameless candles beat
regular candles.
Flameless Candles Are Safe.
The best reason to use flameless candles is due to safety. Since these candles operate without a flame,
there is no fire danger like there is with the regular kind. With a candle that is flameless you don t
have to worry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is because there is no flame and no danger with these astonishing candles.
Do you need a little extra light in a nursery or child s room? Need a nightlight, and there s no outlet in
the right place? Would you like to put a candle near a curtain, wall, plant, or decoration? Maybe you
would like to put a candle in a bookshelf. Do you need light under a cabinet? Maybe on top of a
cabinet?
As you can see, the places that you can put these remarkable candles are endless. As you think about
it, you can see just how useful flameless candles can be and why they ve become so popular.
Flameless candles last a long time.
Flameless candles are battery operated, so they will last a long time without having to even touch
them. The length of time that your candle will operate on a set of batteries varies. Usually, it will be
between 100 hours and 1,000 hours. Some newer models extend this time even longer. Most regular
candles will burn down to the point that they are unusable after this amount of time. However, these
fantastic candles will continue to glow. When the battery runs down, you just pop in a new set and
they are operating

The Hrossa Analysis
After Ransom s escape, he finds this utopian world that he becomes very fond of later on. His courage
is shown throughout the book such as fighting with the sea monster. Luckily, the local Martians took
him in and showed the extraordinary outside of their tranquil, idealistic ways of living. They are
fundamentally as amazed to have a guest from Earth as Ransom is amazed to be their visitor. To them,
Earth is a quiet planet. A simple world with no strange association with whatever remains of the
universe. The Hrossa are portrayed as hunters and human like creatures in the book. They are really
close to nature and show many interest in music and poetry. The pale textured animals to some degree
look like giraffes, just slimmer and very tall. Their

Elements Of Satire In Candide
Glass half empty, glass half full, who cares as long as there is water? Pessimistic or optimistic,
Voltaire takes a realistic approach to each philosophy in his satirical novel, Candide. Written in 1756,
the French philosopher s work was under appreciated and banned in France shortly after its
publication, a mistake the North Dakota Department of Education is about to repeat. Candide is a
literary masterpiece studied mostly at the university level for its interesting philosophies, satirical
devices, and rich history, to ban this book in high schools would rob students of their chance to
expand their education and critically analyze the world around them.
Voltaire wrote Candide after the 1755 earthquake in Lisbon, France, critiquing the Church s and other
philosophers declaration that All is well . While other philosophers of the time, such as Jean Jacques
Rousseau and Leibnitz believed that God s plan was perfect and that humanity s downfall was
civilization, Voltaire maintained that civilization would make people better. In a letter to Jean Jacques
Rousseau, Voltaire argued, What we need is more, not less, civilisation. This cannot be obtained
except through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This literary tactic makes the book a fascinating study on satyr. Throughout Candide, events are
described simply and without the swell of emotion, making horrible events appear nonchalant and
unimportant. This exaggerates the simplicity of the philosophy that all is well (Aldington; 4). At the
same time, Candide uses hyperbole to point out contradictions of nobility, the Baron Thunder ten
tronckh is introduced as one of the most powerful lords in Westphilia however in the same sentence,
the reader is told that his castle possessed a door and windows. His Great Hall was even decorated
with a piece of tapestry (Aldington; 4). Candide provides an excellent opportunity to learn important

Children With An Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Today in the educational system, I think one of the most looked down upon inequalities are students
with an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, also known as ADHD. Especially in high school,
living with ADHD is extremely challenging because students have a harder time concentrating during
class, understanding the material given to them, or even taking tests and doing homework unlike other
students. It seems the school system, and even society judges students based on what level they are on.
For example if a student has straight A s in honors classes, that student would get all the praise, while
a student who has average or lower grades in regular classes, that student would be ignored, get
ridiculed or sometimes considered irrelevant. I myself am not officially diagnosed with ADHD, but I
consider myself have a larger amount of inattention, so I have witnessed these types of inequalities in
high school before. In Jonathan Kozol s essay, The Savage Inequalities of Public Education In New
York, Kozal explains how a school principal views the students reality, explaining Sometimes a school
principal...looks into the faces of the children in his school and offers a disarming statement that cuts
through official ambiguity. (261). It hurts to know that there are students who cannot focus properly in
school, and no one can see it physically happen.
The one thing every student does during class is simply concentrating. During a lesson, lecture, lab, or
whatever the teacher

The Critical Conversation Surrounding Kipling s Novel,...
Nostalgia cannot be the sole modality for understanding the past and the self, yet neither can history.
The two disparate parts must be brought together in order to understand the influences which, to a
degree, create and shape a person. The critical conversation surrounding Kipling s works tends to
reduce their complexities to the single theme of imperialism. In doing so, the manifestation of his
personhood is overlooked and ignored, creating an incomplete picture of Kipling and his beliefs.
Though an advocate for imperialism and regarded by George Orwell as the prophet of British
Imperialism, Kipling is unwillingly implicated within its rigid constructs (118). There is a unique
complexity to Kipling s works that stems from a psychological trauma. Kipling associated India with a
fanciful childhood heightened through his expatriation at six years old. In turn, as Wurgraft highlights,
spatiality proves to be incredibly important for analyzing Kipling s works; when he writes of and
within India his tone significantly shifts from a harsh imperialist to a sympathetic, almost childlike,
idealist (103 4). Therefore, while Kipling vocally advocates for imperialism, he does not do so at the
expense of India and its inhabitants. This is a result of his affinity towards India in relations to his
childhood, a result which manifests in his spatially Indian short stories. Of these short stories, Without
Benefit of Clergy most acutely depicts his fanciful nostalgia to return to an

The Pyrenees and the Sierra de Guara offer us the best conditions for the practice of canyoning in
Huesca.
Canyoning is done in narrow canyons cut into the bedrock stone, forming narrow gorges, in which we
gradually overcome the obstacles, and slopes and drops that we find along the way: whether walking,
jumping, swimming, abseiling or rappeling, sliding down, downclimbing, etc.
We jump to pools of crystalline water, slide by down slides that water and years have carved into the
rock. We will use ropes to descend with the abseiling (rappelling) technique.
To practice canyoning it is not necessary to have previous experience, and we have different levels of
difficulty for you to choose from, since we are in the best area for the practice of canyoning.
In the practice of canyoning, we usually descend aquatic canyons, but it is possible to descend dry
canyons in case that the weather, rain or cold winter does not allow us to descent water canyons.
Therefore, this activity can be done all year in Huesca.
Our qualified, certified and extensive experienced guides will accompany you safely, and you only

Bullying In Erin Murphy s White Lies
One of my most loathed singers, Taylor Swift, once stated, If they don t like you for being yourself, be
yourself even more. However, in Erin Murphy s White Lies , this is not the case for young Connie,
who was a quiet albino girl, new to Arpi s school. Regardless of her desperate efforts to be accepted
by her classmates, they were not warming up to her. Taking action, her mother helped Connie figure
out a way to make her classmates talk to her and like her. I agree with her mother s decision to help
her daughter, even if it wasn t the truth. Bullying is becoming an increasingly important problem for
parents, school administrators and teachers on a vast scale. I cannot imagine how my parents felt when

books packed away by the time it rang. No matter how fast I would run out of the locker room, it was
never fast enough. This cycle continued for a few weeks or so and only really got to me when they
started calling me names. My favorite of the bunch was scoreboard . There was one unfortunate
practice where I tried to pass the ball and somehow managed to shoot it up and away from the court

school early for tutorials. My parents have been divorced for almost 13 years which sparked confusion
in me when my mother texted me saying she was picking me up and for me not to go to first period,
which was volleyball. It was not until we arrived at the Cracker Barrel almost 20 minutes away that
my mother asked me. Are you okay? What s been going on in first period? , she questioned

Criticism Of Andrew Clark An American Politician From The...
I am sure you would agree with me when I say we cannot escape the inevitability
(in ev i ta bility) of criticism. Aristotle once said, Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying
nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing. But I beg to disagree because people will criticize you for
saying nothing, doing nothing and being nothing. Someone once said, Criticism is the muck in which
the plants of the Lord grow strong and no child of God should fear Criticism. Criticism has the
potential to help believers in their spiritual growth? Listen to what Frank Clark an American politician
from the early 1900s said, Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man s growth
without destroying his roots.
Criticism comes in two forms, destructive and constructive. They are both self explanatory.
Nevertheless, destructive criticism has the potential for spiritual growth but that would depend on the
receiver. Destructive criticism can make us look inwardly ask the deep question, is it true of me. If the
criticism levied is true, then do what needs to be done to correct it. If the criticism is malicious then
ignore it and make sure you do not give your critics ammunition to prove their point.
I would admit that criticism is not always easy to handle. People can be crude but always remember
we are not responsible for the actions of others. We will only answer to God for our actions. The
gospel is bigger than our feelings and has serious implications for mankind. So

Supplements are used by people who are looking to get additional nutrients that they may not be
getting through their normal eating habits. Supplements are also used to help people lose weight, build
muscle, minimize the effects of an illness or disability, and to recover from a heavy workout. One
supplement that is popular with the bodybuilding and fitness community are branched chain amino
acids (BCAAs), and there are plenty of studies that show BCAAs are beneficial for building muscle.
What are BCAAs?
Amino Acids are essential nutrients that are the primary building blocks of proteins found in meat,
dairy products, and legumes. Proteins make up 20 percent of the human body, and the amino acids that
make up these proteins play a critical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leaves a person feeling too tired, weak, and lethargic to train the way they are used to training.
Dieting and exercising with weights is generally good for people, but they may not see the results they
want do to muscle loss, protein breakdown, and limited protein synthesis as a result of their fitness
efforts.
BCAAs can help reverse this situation by reducing or slowing down the rate of proteins breaking
down and by stimulating protein synthesis. Leucine is the primary BCAA that produces these results,
and its effects may be stronger than regular protein on its own. BCAAs may also help people to
workout for longer periods of time with more intensity by inhibiting the amino acid tryptophan from
entering the brain and converting into serotonin which cause a sense of fatigue.
Who Should Take BCAA Supplements?
Adults who are healthy, perform light to moderate exercise several times a week, and have a diet that
includes meat, seafood, eggs, dairy products, and legumes do not need to take BCAA supplements.
Children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and people dealing with chronic alcoholism should only
take BCAAs under a doctor s supervision. People who may benefit from taking BCAA supplements

classy and creative ways to fit it into your country wedding without feeling like you ve down staged

This minimalist strategy makes it easy to incorporate plaid in your country wedding. Keep the table
setting simple, and eliminate entire table cloths, replacing them with a plaid table runner instead. This
look is especially great for long tables where the runner can stretch from end to end. Set plaid napkins
on the table, instead of plain crème ones, to add a kitschy yet homey vibe to the dining setting that
perfectly encompasses the rustic part of the day. 2. Plates If plaid linens are too loud for you, dress up

pattern that complements the suit and bridal bouquet. A pocket square or bow tie are additional swaps
he can make, which add a fashionable touch to the outfit. Whether he chooses a tie or a pocket square,
the item doesn t have to be a loud pattern. It can be soft and subtle, such as muted greens or blues. If
he s feeling really bold though, why not try a plaid suit? You can be sure it s a game changer when
compared to traditional wedding tuxedos. 4. The Bride s Dress If the bride s feeling casual, she can
wear a full flannel over her dress during the reception. This look gives the gown a relaxed feel. If this
look is too relaxed for you though, a thin plaid belt complements the dress, which looks just as lovely

Critical Thinking In Nursing
Critical thinking in nursing is an essential component of professional accountability and quality
nursing care (Masters, 2017, p. 217). Nurses apply critical thinking by using their intellectual
reasoning to prevent unsafe practice. It allow nurses to study and interpret data appropriately to make
a judgement about the patient s condition or the achievement of a particular outcome. It is important
that nurses use critical thinking to coordinate patient care by developing and applying strong clinical
skills for a safe, organized environment. I use critical thinking to reflect on implications and
consequences of circumstances that may arise during a problem or to understand a patient s condition

forgetting that he switched rooms with Jens, takes a nap in his old room. Unknown to Miss Sophie,

Fat Tax Rebuttal
Fat Tax: Rebuttal The fat tax is a proposed tax on certain unhealthy foods that lead to the development
of certain medical conditions such as obesity. As obesity is a growing concern of many Americans,
arguments can be made about how effective a fat tax may be if implemented. The opposing group
argues that the implementation of a fat tax would discourage the consumption of unhealthy foods,
reduce costs of medical treatment, and obtain government funding. Although our opposition has some
strong points, there are still unanswered questions that need to be addressed. The opposition claims
that a fat tax would deter Americans from eating harmful junk food. They compare a fat tax to the sin
tax on cigarettes, which they claim has lowered cigarette usage in America. However, much like
cigarettes, fatty foods are filled with addictive chemicals that make people crave more (Engber). Our
opposition claims that because the sin tax helped lower the usage of cigarettes the fat tax will
theoretically do the same for unhealthy foods. However, they fail to mention that the decline of
cigarettes is also attributed to strict laws on their usage and the new ... Show more content on

Our opponents are wrong in assuming that the fat tax would reduce obesity. The tax would not help
lower obesity as well as the sin tax lowered the use of cigarettes, since the two carry two different
connotations. Claiming that the tax would lower obesity solely through speculation is illogical.
Additionally, the opposition s statement that a fat tax would deter people from purchasing unhealthy
foods and that the government would use the money collected from the fat tax to fight obesity contrast
each other. These fallacies in our opponent s argument show that the reasons for the fat tax are full of
misconceptions and conflicting viewpoints. That is why opposing the fat tax is the most logical thing

The Historical Context In The Catcher In The Rye
The historical context in The Catcher in the Rye reveals the book was written during a period of
anguish. As stated by Daniel Burt, ...a prosperous postwar period that gave rise to suburban
conformity and teenage angst, (Burt 2). This quote states that what was going on in society at that time
was how Holden was feeling. The feeling of teenage rebellion and depression were taking over his life
and leading him to do immoral things. Based on the quote above, we can see how Holden created a
cultural mordancy that his readers can easily detect, leading to the thought that this book was created
under the impression of loss and a world gone wrong. Burt writes, Salinger s novel, observes Louis
Menand, provides adolescents with a layer of psychic insulation. Critic Harold Bloom speaks to the
novel s enduring influence when he states, The Catcher in the Rye struck a nerve for one generation,
but it seems to appeal to sensitive young people in later generations as well... (Burt 3). This quote
states that the novel has created a huge impact on society and has left an image that the book can be
quite insulting. Because of this, we can see that this book is not only a mockery of society but is unfit
for teens to read. According to Hochman and Mueller, Whether Holden s sense of society and culture
comes from rebelling against prep school, family, friends, teachers, maturation, and even death, his
character continuously scrapes against the grain of societal pressures and

After years of avoiding it all, I had to break and it was something that caused a ripple effect on my
entire life. I became self destructive with the drugs and cutting, but it came to an end when I found the
band that saved my life.
When I joined Linkin Park, I had no idea that these guys would not just help me pay my bills, but
become my best friends and the people that meant the most in my life. They welcomed me into the
band as though I was family and we all stuck together perfectly, thanks to Mike.
Mike was always the glue that held the band together. Whenever we were in a silly argument, he d
step in and end the fight before it could get out of control. Of course we have arguments with him too
occasionally, but he d always put his foot down and show his dominance; not to mention he s always
there for me when I need him. When I joined the band, he took me under his wing and we became the
closest pair of friends anyone has ever saw. He s always sticking his leg out for me and I feel as
though he does too much for me.
Chester? Are you awake? Mike asks me, peaking into my bunk. I nodded my head and he sighed. Can
t sleep either, huh?
Nope, I reply, not wanting to tell him about my nightmare.
Do you want to do something? The bus is about to park in a few minutes for about a hour or so; the
driver wants to take a break, He informs me. I nod my head and he takes my hand,

Funny Girl And The American Musical Analysis

Funny Girl and the American Musical
In 1963, Jule Styne, Arthur Laurents, and Isobel Lennart premiered a new musical called Funny Girl,
based on the life of Fanny Brice. This American Musical was about one of the most famous female
vaudevillian comediennes that was famous for her character Baby Snooks , a naughty mischievous
little girl in a forty each old woman s body. Baby Snooks made tons of appearances in the Ziegfeld
Follies of 1910, 1921 and the radio. She not only was able to make people laugh but her songs such as
My Man and I d Rather Be Blue could make a person cry. Brice was such a well rounded performer
yet suffered a lot of heartbreak in her life with three failed marriages. Ray Stark, the producer
supervisor of the Broadway musical, happened to start this biopic project because he was married to
Frances Brice, Fanny Brice s daughter. Fanny s story of going from rags to riches was inspiring to not
only Stark but to the future of musical theatre lovers. She changed the face of beauty that the Follies
were known for and instead brought these characters and skits to make people adore her and her looks.
Brice also invented a new form of Jewish female comedy which had never been seen in vaudeville
before giving the show more ways to showcase her as a Jewish girl who was never a type before. The
Broadway musical soon turned into a Hollywood motion picture and in both showed how the

The Importance Of Personal Privacy
Warrantless searches of a student s person raise significant legal questions. Unlike locker searches, it
cannot be asserted that there is a lower expectation of privacy. Students have a legitimate expectation
of privacy in the contents of their pockets and their person. The Fifth Circuit noted: The Fourth
Amendment applies with its fullest vigor against any intrusion on the human body. In personal
searches, not only is it necessary to have reasonable cause to search, but also the search itself must be
reasonable. Reasonableness is assessed in terms of the specific facts and circumstances of a case.
Metal Detectors. Metal detectors are used in airports and many public buildings, but their use does
constitute a search for Fourth Amendment purposes. General scanning of students with metal detectors
is only minimally intrusive on students Fourth Amendment rights when weighed against school
officials interest in providing a safe school environment.
Metal detectors became more commonplace in school environments in the 1990s causing their
constitutionality to be challenged. However, courts soon clarified that individualized suspicion was
not needed for schools to use of metal detectors. For example, the Pennsylvania high court upheld a
general, uniform search of all students for weapons as they entered the high school building; each
student s personal belongings were searched, and then a security officer scanned each student with a
metal detector. The court concluded that the

Purgatory Beliefs
Purgatory is defined as a place or state of suffering inhabited by the souls of sinners who are
correcting their sins before going to heaven . When we die, we go through a judgement for our actions
we made when we were on Earth. What many people don t know is that everyone goes to purgatory is
doesn t really matter who you were on Earth as a person. Purgatory is meant to purify the soul before
the soul makes its way into heaven.
Catholics are taught to confess their sins in the Sacrament of Penance and believe that God will
forgive them, but they have to be truly sorrowful for their sins and actions for the sacrament to really
affect you. Catholics aren t taught that purgatory as a place of torment and pain. Catholicism also
teaches that the souls that end up in purgatory want to actually be there in the first place. It s a place to
achieve heaven for the one s that were too late to confess their sins during the time on Earth. ... Show

God will forgive anyone if you re one of the worst offenders, law breakers, or sinners in general. Since
we are his children in the sense of religion, God truly knows our guilt when we do commit these sins.
Even a verse in scripture from Romans 3: 23 24 tells us about how the sinners are even brought to
justice by God himself. It states for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified
freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (The Bible). The idea of Mercy
helps give us the opportunity to achieve Heaven is giving the idea that once we die, our souls won t go
to hell immediately. Depending on the sin that was committed if there was sorrow after the action,
then it will be taken into consideration by God and he ll hopefully allow the soul to pass through

Mansfield Park Fid Quotes
In Austen s Mansfield Park free indirect discourse, FID, gives the reader the ability to assess the
characters real virtues and fictitious virtues. FID reveals the inner thoughts of a character about the
visible vice s and virtues other characters seem to possess. This use of FID help shape the novel as
seeing and being seen appear to be the main concern of the novel, at least through the eyes of the
protagonist, the young Fanny Price. We gain much of our perspective of the world of Mansfield Park
through Fanny s eyes, and Fanny as the thoughtful observer shows her position in the novel as one
who watches from the shadows. Fanny isn t completely impartial however, and her morals shape how
we view the other characters and our interpretation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
FID allows the reader to pass their judgment upon the observer and the observed in the same instance.
This is effective, especially in the scene where the inhabitants od Mansfield Park are preparing for the
play, Lover s Vows, where Fanny s thought on the matter become exceedingly clear. By refusing to
participate Fanny enables herself to judge the cast as a whole, instead of limiting her focus to those
she would share a scene with. Since she is free to not worry about lines or rehearsal, she is free to
ruminate on everyone else s business.
Fanny, being always a very courteous listener, and often the only listener at hand, came in for the
complaints and the distresses of most of them. She knew that Mr. Yates was in general thought to rant
dreadfully, that Mr. Yates was disappointed in Henry Crawford, that Tom Bertram spoke so quick he
would be unintelligible, that Mrs. Grant spoiled everything by laughing, that Edmund was behindhand
with his part, and that it was misery to have anything to do with Mr. Rushworth, who was wanting a
prompter through every speech. (Austen

How To Write A Narrative Essay About Fishing
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Shortly after, I found out the opposite. When in the 5th grade, I
would often bike across my neighborhood to a public park with a small pond in it. I went fishing in it
with my friend, David, or sometimes even my little sister. While practicing a catch and release style of
fishing regularly, I decided to bring a fish home one day. On the hazy summer day, I was a carefree
dolphin, cruising down the hill at a relaxed speed. My bicycle had a metal rack behind the seat, to
which I Duck Taped a bucket onto, with the purpose of carrying my tackle box and fishing rod. My
sister was closing in from behind on her purple Barbie bike by the time I made it to the gravel path
that led to the pond. When we got to the spot, I setup my sister s line first, then I dropped my own
hook down, right below the dock. Almost immediately, a bluegill devoured the small chunk of a Slim
Jim like a blood thirsty piranha. After I caught around 30 panfish, I landed one fish with very vibrant
colors. I decided I wanted to bring it home and keep it as a pet. So just before me and my sister

series at the time. While at the dinner table, I told my mom all about my new pet; she did not seem
amused. She told me that we already have enough pets and that we don not have anywhere to keep the
fish. She also made it very clear that if it died in my possession, I would be susceptible to a just
punishment. My mother always found a way to convince me, her diction seemed to be as intelligent as
Shakespeare s; she instructed me to put the fish back into the pond. So, I did just

Sweet Home Short Story Analysis
Sethe s childhood was full of loss and trauma. In her view, What happened to her? [Denver] Hung. By
the time they cut her down nobody could tell whether she had a circle and a cross or not, least of all
me and I did look. [Sethe] (p. 61) This means Sethe was only a little girl when her mother died and
Nan took her in. This demonstrates that Sethe s childhood was tough from the beginning. Another
example of her childhood is, She told Sethe that her mother and Nan were together from the sea. Both
were taken up many times by the crew. She threw them all away but you. (p. 62) Morrison s point is
that Sethe was lucky enough to stay alive and not thrown into the sea. This is important because Sethe

There was something blessed in his manner. Women saw him and wanted to weep (p. 17) This
exemplifies how kind he was when Sethe told Paul D. He could make women let their emotions out
and Paul D. would be there to listen. What is more important, is how kind he was to Sethe when they
were at Sweet Home. Life at Sweet Home was not entertaining especially when schoolteacher arrives
and treats them like real slaves. It follows then how Sethe was treated as a slave and the reason why
she killed her children.
While Sethe was a slave, she made the choice of killing her children in order to protect them. In her
view, It ain t my job to know what s worse. It s my job to know what is and to keep them away from
what I know is terrible. I did that. (p. 165) This means Sethe did not want to know what would happen
if her children were still alive. This demonstrates that Sethe wanted the best for her children and
wanted to kill them so they wouldn t have to go through slavery. Another example of Sethe s
experience as a slave is, Whitegirl. That s what she called it... A chokecherry tree. Trunk, branches,
and even leaves. Tiny little chokecherry leaves. But that was eighteen years ago. Could have cherries
too now for all I know. Morrison s point is that Sethe was beaten so bad, her lashings became infected
and was described as a chokecherry tree. This is important because the tree symbolizes the enduring
strength Sethe went through. According to Paul D., You got two

Ancient Greek Covert Actions
Covert actions involves the use of military and political operatives as an intelligence activity, aimed at
a specific target and undertaken in such a way that it does not reveal the identity of the source of the
action. Through this concealment, the identity of the actor is disguised, providing deniability (Burgos,
2009). Covert actions, including information gathering and assassination have existed in many forms
over the centuries and have developed through necessity for a particular civilization. The Egyptians
focused on spying to gain the upper hand on its political rivals Greece and Rome. Through many wars,
Greece perfected its implementation of deception to surprise its enemies (Holmes, n.d.). Following

Persuasive Essay On Hyper 1940
For centuries people dreamed of the transportation of the future. Would there be flying cars? How
could humans reach their desired destination in half the time it normally takes them? With unique
transportation comes many irreversible risks many are not willing to take. Currently, a man by the
name of Elon Musk has started pushing for the transportation of the future, the Hyperloop. The
Hyperloop resembles a futuristic train and Musk claims that it could reach speeds of 800 miles per
hour, meaning a trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles would be cut down to thirty minutes. At first,
this news seems incredible. People could visit loved ones more often, plan fun day trips that were not
easily planned before, and work in places not possible before because of the commute time. Upon
further inspection and research into this proposed transportation of the future there become
unanswered questions. Will the general public feel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Hyperloop would be a miracle for people who commute or travel often. Unfortunately, miracles
are not always realistic. A tried and true method of travel will always be the airplane. Soaring safely
through the clouds and traveling the world allows people the luxury of experiencing new places. The
airplane has more routes, less unanswered questions, and is drastically cheaper than the proposed
Hyperloop. On the other hand, the Hyperloop would be much faster and offer a pleasing futuristic
aesthetic. Both forms of transportation aim to please travelers, but the plane offers many more definite
benefits. Passengers traveling by plane have the advantage of getting to their destination much faster
than if they drove or took a train. As of right now, the plan for the Hyperloop is strictly in California,
which would make riding it impossible for some people. Most people are skeptical, as they should be.
The general public would rather stick with modes of transportation they are familiar

Examples Of Love In Conflict In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Love in Conflict An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind. ― Mahatma Gandhi
Gandhi believes that love might cause blindness. Thus, love makes the person delusional like seeing
inverted colors, such as white as black and the black as white. Love is like putting the person under a
magical spell and they will not be able to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong. The
quote reflects exactly what happens in A Midsummer Night s Dream where Helena agrees with
Gandhi s thought about love. The play mentions Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; and
therefore is wing d Cupid painted blind . A Midsummer night s dream is a play written by the

As the events of the play take place, the types of love emerge between the lovers including the love
conflict. Shakespeare also does not fail to add the element of humor through the characters in the play
to contribute to its comic genre. The characters or mechanicals performed what Shakespeare called, a
play within a play, and it is also what makes Midsummer form the reflective image between reality
and imaginary. Finally, the world of fairies which plays an important role in contributing to all the
love dilemmas which led some characters to be in trouble. Dreams, magic and love are the three
elements which take a significant place in the play. Since in that period of time, dreams were
considered as prophecies, in the play the characters seem to be confused in differentiating between
dreams and reality, after waking up from the spell, the characters were in a daydream state of mind.
Magic is also the main Supernatural element in Shakespeare s plays and in A Midsummer Night s
Dream, magic is the element that brings the play upside down by forming a fantasy which makes the
plot a bit ironic and exciting at the same time. Furthermore, love is what the play is all about, where it
s starts with the dilemma of an arranged love by force, and ends with a marriage based on love which
is the symbol of happiness. Overall, Shakespeare s purpose on writing this play is to deliver a message
in declaring that love is not easy to attain. Therefore, it demands pain and battle in order to have

Over the last few years, flameless candles have become increasingly popular as a replacement for regular candles. These new battery operated candles look practically identical to regular candles. They even have that same flickering, glowing light that everyone loves. However, these breakthrough candles have several advantages over the old fashioned ones. Here are some of the reasons why flameless candles beat regular candles. Flameless Candles Are Safe. The best reason to use flameless candles is due to safety. • 3. The Hrossa Analysis After Ransom s escape, he finds this utopian world that he becomes very fond of later on. His courage is shown throughout the book such as fighting with the sea monster. Luckily, the local Martians took him in and showed the extraordinary outside of their tranquil, idealistic ways of living. They are fundamentally as amazed to have a guest from Earth as Ransom is amazed to be their visitor. To them, Earth is a quiet planet. A simple world with no strange association with whatever remains of the universe. The Hrossa are portrayed as hunters and human like creatures in the book. They are really close to nature and show many interest in music and poetry. The pale textured animals to some degree look like giraffes, just slimmer and very tall. Their ... • 4. Elements Of Satire In Candide Glass half empty, glass half full, who cares as long as there is water? Pessimistic or optimistic, Voltaire takes a realistic approach to each philosophy in his satirical novel, Candide. Written in 1756, the French philosopher s work was under appreciated and banned in France shortly after its publication, a mistake the North Dakota Department of Education is about to repeat. Candide is a literary masterpiece studied mostly at the university level for its interesting philosophies, satirical devices, and rich history, to ban this book in high schools would rob students of their chance to expand their education and critically analyze the world around them. Voltaire wrote Candide after the 1755 earthquake in Lisbon, France, critiquing the Church s and other philosophers declaration that All is well . While other philosophers of the time, such as Jean Jacques Rousseau and Leibnitz believed that God s plan was perfect and that humanity s downfall was civilization, Voltaire maintained that civilization would make people better. In a letter to Jean Jacques Rousseau, Voltaire argued, What we need is more, not less, civilisation. This cannot be obtained except through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This literary tactic makes the book a fascinating study on satyr. Throughout Candide, events are described simply and without the swell of emotion, making horrible events appear nonchalant and unimportant. This exaggerates the simplicity of the philosophy that all is well (Aldington; 4). At the same time, Candide uses hyperbole to point out contradictions of nobility, the Baron Thunder ten tronckh is introduced as one of the most powerful lords in Westphilia however in the same sentence, the reader is told that his castle possessed a door and windows. His Great Hall was even decorated with a piece of tapestry (Aldington; 4). Candide provides an excellent opportunity to learn important literary ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Children With An Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Today in the educational system, I think one of the most looked down upon inequalities are students with an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, also known as ADHD. Especially in high school, living with ADHD is extremely challenging because students have a harder time concentrating during class, understanding the material given to them, or even taking tests and doing homework unlike other students. It seems the school system, and even society judges students based on what level they are on. For example if a student has straight A s in honors classes, that student would get all the praise, while a student who has average or lower grades in regular classes, that student would be ignored, get ridiculed or sometimes considered irrelevant. I myself am not officially diagnosed with ADHD, but I consider myself have a larger amount of inattention, so I have witnessed these types of inequalities in high school before. In Jonathan Kozol s essay, The Savage Inequalities of Public Education In New York, Kozal explains how a school principal views the students reality, explaining Sometimes a school principal...looks into the faces of the children in his school and offers a disarming statement that cuts through official ambiguity. (261). It hurts to know that there are students who cannot focus properly in school, and no one can see it physically happen. The one thing every student does during class is simply concentrating. During a lesson, lecture, lab, or whatever the teacher ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Critical Conversation Surrounding Kipling s Novel,... Nostalgia cannot be the sole modality for understanding the past and the self, yet neither can history. The two disparate parts must be brought together in order to understand the influences which, to a degree, create and shape a person. The critical conversation surrounding Kipling s works tends to reduce their complexities to the single theme of imperialism. In doing so, the manifestation of his personhood is overlooked and ignored, creating an incomplete picture of Kipling and his beliefs. Though an advocate for imperialism and regarded by George Orwell as the prophet of British Imperialism, Kipling is unwillingly implicated within its rigid constructs (118). There is a unique complexity to Kipling s works that stems from a psychological trauma. Kipling associated India with a fanciful childhood heightened through his expatriation at six years old. In turn, as Wurgraft highlights, spatiality proves to be incredibly important for analyzing Kipling s works; when he writes of and within India his tone significantly shifts from a harsh imperialist to a sympathetic, almost childlike, idealist (103 4). Therefore, while Kipling vocally advocates for imperialism, he does not do so at the expense of India and its inhabitants. This is a result of his affinity towards India in relations to his childhood, a result which manifests in his spatially Indian short stories. Of these short stories, Without Benefit of Clergy most acutely depicts his fanciful nostalgia to return to an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Bullying In Erin Murphy s White Lies One of my most loathed singers, Taylor Swift, once stated, If they don t like you for being yourself, be yourself even more. However, in Erin Murphy s White Lies , this is not the case for young Connie, who was a quiet albino girl, new to Arpi s school. Regardless of her desperate efforts to be accepted by her classmates, they were not warming up to her. Taking action, her mother helped Connie figure out a way to make her classmates talk to her and like her. I agree with her mother s decision to help her daughter, even if it wasn t the truth. • 11. Criticism Of Andrew Clark An American Politician From The... I am sure you would agree with me when I say we cannot escape the inevitability (in ev i ta bility) of criticism. Aristotle once said, Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing. But I beg to disagree because people will criticize you for saying nothing, doing nothing and being nothing. Someone once said, Criticism is the muck in which the plants of the Lord grow strong and no child of God should fear Criticism. Criticism has the potential to help believers in their spiritual growth? Listen to what Frank Clark an American politician from the early 1900s said, Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man s growth without destroying his roots. Criticism comes in two forms, destructive and constructive. They are both self explanatory. Nevertheless, destructive criticism has the potential for spiritual growth but that would depend on the receiver. Destructive criticism can make us look inwardly ask the deep question, is it true of me. If the criticism levied is true, then do what needs to be done to correct it. If the criticism is malicious then ignore it and make sure you do not give your critics ammunition to prove their point. I would admit that criticism is not always easy to handle. People can be crude but always remember we are not responsible for the actions of others. We will only answer to God for our actions. The gospel is bigger than our feelings and has serious implications for mankind. So ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Supplements are also used to help people lose weight, build muscle, minimize the effects of an illness or disability, and to recover from a heavy workout. One supplement that is popular with the bodybuilding and fitness community are branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), and there are plenty of studies that show BCAAs are beneficial for building muscle. BCAAs can help reverse this situation by reducing or slowing down the rate of proteins breaking down and by stimulating protein synthesis. BCAAs may also help people to workout for longer periods of time with more intensity by inhibiting the amino acid tryptophan from entering the brain and converting into serotonin which cause a sense of fatigue. As obesity is a growing concern of many Americans, arguments can be made about how effective a fat tax may be if implemented. The opposing group argues that the implementation of a fat tax would discourage the consumption of unhealthy foods, reduce costs of medical treatment, and obtain government funding. Although our opposition has some strong points, there are still unanswered questions that need to be addressed. The opposition claims that a fat tax would deter Americans from eating harmful junk food. They compare a fat tax to the sin tax on cigarettes, which they claim has lowered cigarette usage in America. Fanny s story of going from rags to riches was inspiring to not only Stark but to the future of musical theatre lovers. She changed the face of beauty that the Follies were known for and instead brought these characters and skits to make people adore her and her looks.
