The Major Features of the Ontological Argument for the Existence of God
The ontological argument for the existence of God was originally set out in eleventh century by St.
Anselm in his Proslogian. Anselm was a Benedictine monk, Archbishop of Canterbury, and one of the
great medieval theologians. It has received a lot of both support and criticism from leaning
philosophers. The argument is appeals to those who already believe in the existence of God than to an
atheist. The argument is entirely a priori; it seeks to demonstrate that God exists on the basis of that
concept alone, and show existence as an attribute/characteristic of God, in the same way omnipotence
and benevolence are considered to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So according to Anslem it is self contradictory to conceive of something than which nothing greater
can be thought and yet to deny that that something exists. The second stage is the idea that it is
illogical to think God does not exist. This idea is that because the highest possible thought of God is
the He exists, thus his existence is impossible. This is the concept of necessary existence, God cannot
not exist, and something which has necessary existence is something that exists in all possible worlds.
God is perceived to have necessary existence because God is eternal and created the world and He is
not limited by time, as He is outside of it. Thus God must exist in reality.
Later in the 17th century Descartes developed the argument further, he used his form of the
ontological argument to be a part of his argument that the external world exists. Descartes viewed God
as a supremely perfect being, possessing all perfections, which includes existence and thus God has to
exist. Descartes argue that an object had to posses certain qualities or else it could not be considered to
be an object, for example, triangles angles must add up to 180 degrees. In the same way thus existence
cannot be separated from the idea of God.
In the 20th Century there have been two main philosophers who have worked noteably on the
Ontological Argument, Norman Malcolm and Alvin Plantinga. Malcolm s

A 3 years old female spayed DSH presented with a large rectal prolapse.
Two days prior to presentation the cat was continuously straining and going back and forth to the litter
tray. On the night before presentation the owner observed a development of rectal prolapse. On the
clinical the cat was BAR. General clinical examination was unremarkable. A 5 cm oedematous and
inflamed rectal prolapse was present. An investigation and treatment plan and was done and a cost
estimation was given to the owner.
After checking estimation owner said that unfortunately this cat is currently not insured. As he has two

Owner was insisting in a way that started making me feel really uncomfortable.
I explained to the owner that we, as a veterinary surgeon (VS), are a third party in the contract
between owners and insurance companies and veterinary surgeons have the responsibility to report
with honesty and integrity.
The clinical records should be honest and with truth and the relevant information about the presented
animal should be provided to the insurer. This is illegal and would be considered dishonesty and fraud.
A VS who acts dishonestly or fraudulently may be liable to criminal investigation and/or disciplinary
action (RCVS, 2012). This would be considered a fraud against the insurer. Any failure to disclose
information, dishonestly or intending by that abuse to make a gain will lead to payment of claim being
refused and both VS and owner could be prosecuted (The Fraud Act, 2006).
The stakeholders were me (VS), the owner and the insurance

Ap Psychology Application Essay Sample
My Junior year AP Psychology course didn t just teach me about the human brain, social patterns and
mental disorders it taught me about myself. By the end of the first semester of that class, I knew that I

The Relationship Between Macbeth And Lady Macbeth
Characterize the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. If the main theme of the play is
ambition, whose ambition is the driving force of the play Macbeth, Lady Macbeth or both? Word
Limit 500 1000
According to my understanding of the play, I feel it is Lady Macbeth s ambition that drives the play
forward. In the beginning of the play, it seems that Macbeth is a weak man odalisque to a cold hearted
woman who manipulates him to her benefit. This illusion is exemplified when Lady Macbeth presents
her thoughts after reading her husband s letter. Hie thee hither, that I may pour my spirits in thine ear
and chastise with the valor of my tongue she thinks he is incapable of taking the crown, her vision is
obscured by her want for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The hallucinations of the dagger afloat with blood on its hilt, the paracusia of Macbeth does murder
sleep, Macbeth shall sleep no more and his inability to say Amen are all symbols of his guilt.
After the first murder, Lady Macbeth s ambition seems to fade and Macbeths focal point changes. His
ambition is now aimed at keeping the world from learning of his sin; He is willing to do anything,
including further stain his conscience by committing and ordering executions. Ironically if it weren t
for the murder of Banquo, no one would have truly suspected Macbeth s crime as Macduff.
His ambitions change from becoming king to protecting that which his. He is flawed in his ambition
and his cowardice, he knows that he is too ambitious he realizes that what he is doing is wrong. He
speaks his mind, however he is easily swayed by his wife. Once the murder is committed, once
Duncan s heart has beaten for the last time; Macbeth is immediately thrown into a pit of guilt. He
makes it his mission to never let anyone find out that he murdered his king. Wake Duncan with thy
knocking. I would thou couldst.

Pros And Cons Of Free Healthcare In The United States
Nico Flores

English 100
Healthcare In The US Throughout the modern era of the United States, one constant issue in society is
free healthcare. This issue is not just an issue in the United States, but also in the whole world. Many
other countries have made drastic changes in order to fix or at least attempt to fix this issue in their
own country, but the U.S. has not done very much. Many Americans believe that free healthcare is
something that tax paying citizens should be entitled to. These citizens of the United States ask why
and how do many other countries have free healthcare, but the U.S. does not. These citizens ask this
because they consider the fact that the United States is a very powerful country, but there are many
other poorer countries around the world that have free healthcare.
Free healthcare is medical care that is paid for that gives free of charge primary services to all citizens
of the county, regardless of the citizens income or wealth. Currently in 2017, over 50 countries have
free healthcare and several of those countries also have universal healthcare, which offers coverage in
all medical situations to 90% of their citizens. Overtime the goal of the world should be for everyone
to have universal healthcare, but the United States tends to support private healthcare. Private
healthcare directly takes money out of citizens pockets and makes them pay for it. Although one is
more expensive compared to the other both types of healthcare have

An Essay on the Meaning of Sustainable Development
ASSIGNMENT 1.
AN ESSAY ON THE MEANING OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
Introduction:
In this essay I will discuss what sustainable development means? I will also discuss weak and strong
approaches to sustainability and how this is related to sustainable development. Finally I will discuss
how Isaac Construction in Christchurch has adopted sustainable development practices. In order to
somewhat understand what sustainable development means, you must first separate the two words and
view them both individually.
Development and sustainability discussion:
Firstly, development can be seen as progress and growth which builds over time at both societal and
individual levels. There are also three senses in which the word ... Show more content on

34). Strong sustainability as mentioned earlier in this essay is an environment centred,
balanced/sustained approach to the demands on Earths resources and for all human activities to be
within the limitations of our natural eco systems, and also to share those natural systems with other
species (Phase2.org). In weak sustainability, Patterson states manufactured capital can substitute for
losses in natural capital (p. 17), and also for that capital to be maintained from generation to
generation so human society is economically sustainable (Patterson, M., 2002, p. 17). From the strong
sustainability point of view this is negative. The perspective of strong sustainability is for natural
capital to be maintained, because you can t produce manufactured capital without natural capital.
Natural capital can perform many economic functions when it is maintained properly. Such as
environmental eco systems that support human life and the co existence of other species. Through
strong sustainability natural capital when maintained over numerous generations, allows everyone
over time to have equal access. This is difficult to do, being able to maintain natural capital over
multiple generations. It is much easier to maintain total capital and manufactured stock. This is
reflected in present day society, with declining natural stocks but increased manufactured

How Legislation and Policies Influence Education in...
Australia is very a multicultural and diverse country. Consequently schools are faced with many
diverse students of different abilities and backgrounds. To ensure equity and fairness among students,
policies and legislations have been put into place to ensure diversity is being catered for and that no
student is being excluded from the education system. Some of these policies and legislation include:
The Disability Discrimination Act 1992, The Salamanca Statement, Disability Standards 2005,
Inclusive Education Statement, Disabilities Services Act QLD 2006 and the Melbourne Declaration.

The teacher can encourage this inclusion by teaching the students, parents, and other community
members about negative stereotypical attitudes about students with disabilities by avoiding negative
words, such as disabled , or crippled , or handicapped and to promote positive ideas about disabilities
into class work, the student s play time and other activities. To further ensure that the classroom is
promoting equality for the child with the disability, the teacher should incorporate an inclusive
curriculum mindset, by adapting the lessons, learning materials and classroom to suit the needs of all
the different types of learners including the child with the disability within the classroom. In 1994,
representatives of 92 governments and 25 international organizations formed the World Conference on
Special Needs Education and called on the international community to endorse the concept of change
and inclusion through a new statement called The Salamanca Statement . As this was the first major
international statement of what an inclusive approach to education needs to be, they formed practical
strategies to ensure this positive inclusion would take place worldwide. The statement outlines that
every child has a right to education and must be given the opportunity to learn. It also urges the
government to adopt the principle of

Descriptive Essay About My First Buck
My First Buck
It was a bitter cold November morning. November 15 to be exact. This is a very special day to my
family and I. We woke up early that morning to get ready for the exciting day ahead of us. We bundled
up in many layers of clothes and made some cofee for my Dad.
We then set off to the blind before the trophies come out. As I was walking to the blind I could see my
breath. As the sun set over the leafless trees, we began to start hearing some life throughout the woods.
Although the movement we have heard has not been the trophy we have been looking for it just keeps
my heart pumping. We have probably been in the blind for about 5 hours so we decided to go grab
something to eat from the truck when suddenly we heard heavy footsteps right behind our blind which
is where the door is. I creeked the door open and what I saw made my heart go a million miles a
second. 3 doe stood behind us creeping around. They seemed very sketchy so immediatly we closed
the door and waited for them to come around to the front of the blind. The day got so much better
knowing that there are deer in this area. Even though they were doe we still had the thought in our
mind that a trophy buck might just pass through here looking for a mate. We watched the deer walk
about 30 yards in front of us for about 20 miniutes but by that time i was ready for a buck to come
through here. It was hard to sit still in the blind because there is old about 5 feet of room in there and I

that something needs to change to improve the current condition of the resisting person or group. It is
largely but wrongly taken as synonymous with civil resistance. Each of these terms nonviolent

Current nonviolent resistance includes the Jeans Revolution in Belarus, the Jasmine Revolution in
Tunisia, and the fight of the Cuban dissidents. Many movements which promote philosophies of
nonviolence or pacifism have pragmatically adopted the methods of nonviolent action as an effective
way to achieve social or political goals. They employ nonviolent resistance tactics such as:
information warfare, picketing, marches, vigils, leafletting, samizdat, magnitizdat, satyagraha, protest
art, protest music and poetry, community education and consciousness raising, lobbying, tax
resistance, civil disobedience, boycotts or sanctions, legal/diplomatic wrestling, underground

pacifism by potentially being proactive and interventionist.A great deal of work has addressed the
factors that lead to violent mobilization, but less attention has been paid to understanding why
disputes become violent or nonviolent, comparing these two as strategic choices relative to

The Cold War era (1945 1989) was conflicted with the dominance of, overall, the two superpowers,
the U.S.S.R and the U.S, with political and social ideology taking centre stage. Australia s
involvement during this time, was paramount and reinstated its long term allegiance with the United

Welcome to the wonderful world of computer software engineering and web development, or as it
more commonly known, coding. In this section, one will learn the programming languages used to
develop a search engine.
One of the most important programming languages for building a search engine is HTML, or
Hypertext Markup Language. Hypertext Markup Language is the programming language used to
make generally every webpage. It is used to create text boxes, hyperlinks, images, et cetera.
Sometimes another markup language, PHP, or Hypertext Preprocessor, is used which has the benefit
of also being a server side scripting language.
An important use for the markup language parts of both is the use of meta/ tags. Meta tags are used for
search engines like Yahoo! that use them to create a description for their search engine ranking. They
can also be used for keywords, content type descriptions, and for the Robot Exclusion Protocol
(Search Engine Watch).
The Robot Exclusion Protocol is actually a Meta tag attribute. It is used typically to tell search engines
to not index a webpage. It is also sometimes used to let search engines know whether or not to follow
links on the page (Search Engine Watch).
Another essential programming language of any webpage is CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets. These
style sheets are used to add styles, such as fonts, backgrounds, text sizes, et cetera, to one s website

Most of the states in the United States consider driver under the influence and kill someone, vehicular
manslaughter. According to Stim (2015), Alaska, Montana, and Arizona are the only three states that
more often than not charge defendants with murder over manslaughter in vehicular deaths caused by
driving under the influence. To put it in perspective, 94% of the states in the United States prefer
manslaughter convictions over homicide. Vehicular manslaughter is broken down into two divisions.
Vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and vehicular manslaughter with ordinary negligence.
Gross negligence comes from driving that is extremely reckless. Ordinary negligence spawns from the
driver failing to take the precautions as a typical driver, and injury/death is caused. For example, if an
intoxicated driver is swerving all over the road and strikes a car that results in death for the opposing
driver, that would be gross negligence. Now if an intoxicated driver fails to yield properly and t bones
a car that results in death of the other driver, that would be ordinary negligence. If a defendant is
found guilty of vehicular manslaughter, they face at least 4 10 years behind bars for each person
killed. Therefore, if a car has two people in it that were killed, the sentencing can be doubled. In
comparison, if a murder charge sticks, the defendant s sentence can range from 10 years to lifelong
imprisonment. McCurley (2014) argues that both of the drivers involved in the accident could be
found to be intoxicated. If one driver lives and the other dies, why should the driver that survives be
charged with murder? He is saying that both drivers can be at fault as they were both intoxicated. The
reason we lock away homicidal people is because of their mental state. We do not want them to be
able to roam the free world and possibly commit murder again. When people drive under the influence
and take a life, that does

The Lovely Bones Surviving Grief
The Lovely Bones: Surviving Grief DRAFT Grief. This five letter word alone contains a wave of
emotions, associated with sorrow. The Lovely Bones by Alice Seybold: surviving grief, illustrates
Susie Salmon, a young girl and her loved ones who fight for justice of Susie s murder by, the
pedophilic, diabolical Mr. Harvey. Susie is there with the family watching them from heaven. One of
the themes that are executed throughout the novel is the concept of surviving grief. It is a challenge for
many who have lost loved ones and must learn to overcome their loss by using different coping
mechanisms and symbolizations. Sebold shows how coping with grief is heard because humans hold

In order to overcome the grief of someone is dead that is truly dear to them they generally replace lost
ones with new relationships with others. Susie s loved ones replace her with others such as Abigail,
whom had an affair with the detective Len Fenerman, she needed to drive the daughter out (Sebold

Abigail is getting distant from the family. When Abigail is with the family it reminds her of Susie and
the whole surviving grief and the whole coping with grief continues. When Abigail is with Len she
forgets that she has to grief, and forgets everything that is going on. The family symbolizes that Susie
is still part of them, and reminds Abigail about Susie s murder when with family. Jack replaces Susie

Film Censorship
The influence of media on the individual is always the first concern when a new medium of
entertainment is introduced in society. Whether it be the idea that violent video games instill
aggression in its players, or that exposure to rap music inspires drug use, fear of media s influence has
plagued modern society as new technological advancements inundate Americans lives
overwhelmingly often. This fear, however, is not limited to the current age of smartphones and virtual
reality headsets. When moving pictures first appeared in nickelodeon theaters across the country in the
early twentieth century, it was met with similar reactions. Many individuals believed exposing the
American public to questionable topics such as criminal activity and prostitution would incite in the
audience the desire to replicate the scenes depicted on screen. Among those advocating on behalf of
the moving picture were Charles Sprague Smith and John Collier of the People s Institute. They ...

Dedicated to proliferating the benefits of film in society, leaders at the Institute believed that legalized
censorship would stifle [...] the freedom of the (film) industry as a mirror of everyday life, hopes, and
aspirations of the people (Rosenbloom 315). The promotion of social reform and education in
American society through the medium of film was inhibited by censorship from external legislation,
and from within the motion picture industry itself.
Firstly, public uproar over the the release of J.W. Griffiths s film The Birth of a Nation prompted
discussion of racial issues, and increased membership of civil rights organizations whilst resulting in
nationwide calls for state level censorship legislation. Demands for censorship of motion picture
content had been minimal until the 1915 release of The Birth of a Nation (Rosenbloom 309). The film,

is a very simple post aimed at sparking interest in Data Analysis. It is by no means a complete guide,
nor should it be used as complete facts or truths. I m going to start today by explaining the concept of
ETL, why it s important, and how we re going to use it. ETL stands for Extract, Transform, and Load.
While it sounds like a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What programs am I going to use to transform the data? What am I going to do once I have all the
numbers? What kind of visualizations will emphasize the results? All questions you should have
answers to. Step 2: Get Your Data (EXTRACT) This sounds a lot easier than it actually is. If you re
more of a beginner, it s going to be the hardest obstacle in your way. Depending on your use there are
typically more than 1 way to extract data. My personal preference is to use Python, which is a
scripting programming language. It is very strong, and it is used heavily in the analytic world. There is
a Python distribution called Anaconda that already has a lot of tools and packages included that you
will want for Data Analytics. Once you ve installed Anaconda, you ll need to download an IDE
(integrated developer environment), which is separate from Anaconda itself, but is what interfaces
with the programs itself and allows you to code. I recommend PyCharm. Once you ve downloaded all
of the things necessary to extract data, you re going to have to actually extract it. Ultimately, you have
to know what you re looking for in order to be able to search it and figure it out. There are a number of
guides out there that will walk you more through the technicalities of this process. That is not my goal,
my goal is to outline the steps necessary to analyze data. Step 3: Play With Your Data
(TRANSFORM) There are a number of programs and ways to accomplish this. Most aren t free,

How Did Eudora Welty Influence Society
Eudora Welty
Southern writers are some of the most prominent authors in America. One of those authors is Eudora
Alice Welty. Eudora Welty s life and career had influence on writers and society even after death.
Welty was born on April 13th, 1909 in Jackson Mississippi to Christian and Chestina Welty. She grew
up with two brothers and parents who strongly encouraged reading and writing. At the age of seven,
Welty was diagnosed with a heart condition. During that time she was bedridden and spent a lot of
time reading her favorite authors, such as The Brothers Grimm, Mark Twain, and many others. She
described her childhood and family to be happy, bookish, and close knit. Her earliest memories were
of her parents reading to her. During ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1937, Welty wrote The Petrified Man and submitted it to a new magazine called Southern Review.
The editors Cleanth Brooks and Robert Penn Warren denied the story. Due to this denial, a
discouraged Welty destroyed the only copy. Shortly after rejecting the story, Warren had second
thoughts, and she rewrote it from memory.
Five years after her first story was published, Welty published her first book called A Curtain of
Green, which appeared in the Southern Review and was chosen for The Best Short Stories 1939. How
well A Curtain of Green succeeded impressed critics.
During 1955 1970, she was primarily occupied with lecturing and taking care of her family, but she
wrote Losing Battles in the meantime. In 1966, her mother and brother unexpectedly died just days
apart from each other.
The majority of her stories included characters that were murderers, psychotics, the senile, and the
mentally retarded. Welty never married and lived alone in the house her father built. She received four
O. Henry Memorial Prizes, the M. Thomas Award, and many more awards. The Robber Bridegroom
and The Ponder Heart have even been adapted and produced on

The Battle At The Somme Analysis

Keegan Paper
War through the Ages: Waterloo Somme One hundred years separated the Battle at Waterloo and the
Battle at the Somme, and despite that time gap certain social and military aspects have been able
transcend time. John Keegan s The Face of Battle, detailed the experiences of both battles from a
British perspective. Within that one hundred year span many facets of war changed, the tactics, the
machinery, the tools, the soldiers and the very cause of the battle itself. Despite the stark contrasts of
each, it was the similarities in experience and tactics that were truly striking. When analyzing both
battles careful, it became apparent the parallels of war despite time, location and societal factors.
Like many events in history, a battle is very telling about the society it took place in. This idea rang
true during the Battle of the Somme, happening in the midst of World War I, July 1916. The British,
aligned with the other Allies were set to take on the Germans. According to Keegan, the French and
British had been planning a great offensive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

reserves would pass and capture in a similar way. Unfortunately the Germans were underestimated. As
the British were already crossing no man s land, the Germans began spraying them with machine gun
bullets the British never saw it coming. Some battalions were able to get through and others were able
to find gaps in the German wire, but ultimately the Germans were able to recapture most of the land

Individuality In Daisy Miller And The Love Song Of J....
Individualism in Daisy Miller and Prufrock The two stories Daisy Miller: A Study by Henry James
and The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot both express individuality. While Daisy Miller:
A Study is a realistic short story and The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is a modernist poem they
convey individuality differently. While the title character in Daisy Miller embraces her individuality
by not caring what people think of her, Prufrock is insecure and questions who he is and how people
will perceive him. Both characters have detailed traits that express who they are. Daisy appears very
confident, outspoken, and has a vivacious personality. On the other hand, Prufrock starts off with an
uneasy tone and has a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Daisy starts up a little argument with him. The narrator states, She opened fire upon the
mysterious charmer in Geneva (James 113). Daisy and Winterbourne had only known each other for a
few days, so Daisy had no reason to question Winterbourne s intentions. Through her argument with
Winterbourne, Daisy shows herself as being quick tempered, needy, and jealous. During the same
argument Daisy states, I don t want you to come for your aunt... I want you to come for me (James
113). Daisy s desire to be the center of Winterbourne s attention makes her jealous of another woman,
even if that woman is his relative. She wants to be the only reason Winterbourne goes to Rome. While
Daisy is an attention craver, Prufrock is the exact opposite and does not want any attention on him.
Prufrock states: And I have known the eyes already, known them all The eyes that fix you in a
formulated phrase, And when I am formulated, sprawling on a pin, When I am pinned and wriggling
on the wall, Then how should I begin (Eliot 582). Prufrock describes how he feels when all the
attention is on him. He feels as if he is on display and believes people will analyze and scrutinize
everything about him. He then questions how he should begin a conversation, believing he will be
judged. Before Prufrock goes down the stairs, he also states: With a bald spot in the middle of my hair

multiple different talented musicians. However, in the 60 s he changed from that. He
was more involved with his making of a big jazz band with became popular during the
swing era. There would be groups of 10+ people that are involved. That would include

continued to do them until he died.

Secret Intelligence Service Research Paper
The Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), also referred by MI6 (Military Intelligence, Section 6), which is
responsible for offering British government and military foreign intelligence, was founded over 100
years ago. Yet, its existence had been kept as secret for almost a century and was revealed in 1993. At
the end of the second world war, after absorbing the remans of the Special Operations Executives
(SOE) the SIS expanded their faculties and started a new agenda: against Soviet Union. During the

In the first half of Cold War era, MI6 s operations against the Soviet Union were undermined by the
numerous Soviet s agents who were in the vital position inside the British Intelligence System, both
MI5 and MI6. Kim Philby who joined MI6 in 1940 was part of the disreputable Cambridge Spies
which consisted of three other graduated students from the University of Cambridge s Donald
Maclean, Anthony Blunt, Guy Burgess and Philby. They handed the information covertly acquired in
Britain to the Soviet Union. As a result, the covert Britain agents in the Soviet Union were exposed
and arrested. The Cambridge Spies were more viewed as excellent trophies by the Soviets officials
because these highly educated English men s attempt to leave the British lifestyle proved that the
western lifestyles could not be good . Moreover, the third man among the Cambridge Spies, Kim
Philby s spying against Britain and the U.S was both instrumental in the identification and murder of
pro West intelligence officers, and war alert to individuals who sought to defect to the West
(Westerman). In addition to the Cambridge Spies, George Blake, as a mole inside MI6, had exposed
many British agents by passing over thousands of top secret documents to Moscow and(Parfitt). His

Irritable Bowel Syndrome Analysis
Food Curt This might be TMI (too much information), if so, skip this chapter. Throughout the trip, I
was struggling with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Trust me, when your bowel is irritable, so are you. At
any rate, I had been trying to eat healthy and high fiber. While we were traveling, I was faced with a
lot of new foods. Given all my digestive issues, I was trying to keep it simple. A couple bad
experiences prompted my decision to pretty much eat nothing but ham and cheese sandwiches unless I
was fairly sure the foods available would not cause me problems. I had thought Chinese would be a
safe choice; however, that turned out not to be the case. My bad experience at the Chinese restaurant

I don t think it is as heavily processed nor do I think it contains as many additives as the cheese
available in the United States. Although it may not be as safe to eat, it is really delicious. I live in
Arizona and have occasionally had cheese from across the border in Mexico. The cheese I had in
Buenaventura was memorable and much like Mexican cheese: really rich and salty. The other issue I
struggled with was a justifiable fear of drinking contaminated water. Non carbonated bottled water,
referred to as sin gas (without gas), was hard to find. Trusting tap water was inviting serious illness, so
Miguel consumed primarily Diet Coke and I resorted to regular Coke, which left me dehydrated a
great deal of the time. A ham and cheese sandwich became my standard lunch at airport cafes. I based
my choice on a combination of knowing it would not make me sick and the ease with which I could
order. Sanwich de jamon y queso con Coca sin hielo, por favor. (Ham and cheese sandwich with Coca
Cola, no ice.) Boy did I eat a lot of ham and cheese sandwiches washed down with bottles of warm
Coke by the time the trip was over. Fortunately, there were memorable meals which provided a
counterpoint to all the ham and cheese sandwiches. Our Thanksgiving dinner when we were not

  • 2. The Major Features of the Ontological Argument for the... The Major Features of the Ontological Argument for the Existence of God The ontological argument for the existence of God was originally set out in eleventh century by St. Anselm in his Proslogian. Anselm was a Benedictine monk, Archbishop of Canterbury, and one of the great medieval theologians. It has received a lot of both support and criticism from leaning philosophers. The argument is appeals to those who already believe in the existence of God than to an atheist. The argument is entirely a priori; it seeks to demonstrate that God exists on the basis of that concept alone, and show existence as an attribute/characteristic of God, in the same way omnipotence and benevolence are considered to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So according to Anslem it is self contradictory to conceive of something than which nothing greater can be thought and yet to deny that that something exists. The second stage is the idea that it is illogical to think God does not exist. This idea is that because the highest possible thought of God is the He exists, thus his existence is impossible. This is the concept of necessary existence, God cannot not exist, and something which has necessary existence is something that exists in all possible worlds. God is perceived to have necessary existence because God is eternal and created the world and He is not limited by time, as He is outside of it. Thus God must exist in reality. Later in the 17th century Descartes developed the argument further, he used his form of the ontological argument to be a part of his argument that the external world exists. Descartes viewed God as a supremely perfect being, possessing all perfections, which includes existence and thus God has to exist. Descartes argue that an object had to posses certain qualities or else it could not be considered to be an object, for example, triangles angles must add up to 180 degrees. In the same way thus existence cannot be separated from the idea of God. In the 20th Century there have been two main philosophers who have worked noteably on the Ontological Argument, Norman Malcolm and Alvin Plantinga. Malcolm s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The clinical records should be honest and with truth and the relevant information about the presented animal should be provided to the insurer. If the main theme of the play is ambition, whose ambition is the driving force of the play Macbeth, Lady Macbeth or both? Word Limit 500 1000 According to my understanding of the play, I feel it is Lady Macbeth s ambition that drives the play forward. In the beginning of the play, it seems that Macbeth is a weak man odalisque to a cold hearted woman who manipulates him to her benefit. This illusion is exemplified when Lady Macbeth presents her thoughts after reading her husband s letter. His ambition is now aimed at keeping the world from learning of his sin; He is willing to do anything, including further stain his conscience by committing and ordering executions. Ironically if it weren t for the murder of Banquo, no one would have truly suspected Macbeth s crime as Macduff. His ambitions change from becoming king to protecting that which his. He is flawed in his ambition and his cowardice, he knows that he is too ambitious he realizes that what he is doing is wrong. He speaks his mind, however he is easily swayed by his wife. • 7. Pros And Cons Of Free Healthcare In The United States Nico Flores 12/9/17 English 100 Healthcare In The US Throughout the modern era of the United States, one constant issue in society is free healthcare. This issue is not just an issue in the United States, but also in the whole world. Many other countries have made drastic changes in order to fix or at least attempt to fix this issue in their own country, but the U.S. has not done very much. Many Americans believe that free healthcare is something that tax paying citizens should be entitled to. These citizens of the United States ask why and how do many other countries have free healthcare, but the U.S. does not. These citizens ask this because they consider the fact that the United States is a very powerful country, but there are many other poorer countries around the world that have free healthcare. Free healthcare is medical care that is paid for that gives free of charge primary services to all citizens of the county, regardless of the citizens income or wealth. Currently in 2017, over 50 countries have free healthcare and several of those countries also have universal healthcare, which offers coverage in all medical situations to 90% of their citizens. Overtime the goal of the world should be for everyone to have universal healthcare, but the United States tends to support private healthcare. Private healthcare directly takes money out of citizens pockets and makes them pay for it. Although one is more expensive compared to the other both types of healthcare have ... Introduction: In this essay I will discuss what sustainable development means? I will also discuss weak and strong approaches to sustainability and how this is related to sustainable development. Finally I will discuss how Isaac Construction in Christchurch has adopted sustainable development practices. In order to somewhat understand what sustainable development means, you must first separate the two words and view them both individually. Development and sustainability discussion: Firstly, development can be seen as progress and growth which builds over time at both societal and individual levels. There are also three senses in which the word ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 34). Strong sustainability as mentioned earlier in this essay is an environment centred, balanced/sustained approach to the demands on Earths resources and for all human activities to be within the limitations of our natural eco systems, and also to share those natural systems with other species (Phase2.org). In weak sustainability, Patterson states manufactured capital can substitute for losses in natural capital (p. 17), and also for that capital to be maintained from generation to generation so human society is economically sustainable (Patterson, M., 2002, p. 17). From the strong sustainability point of view this is negative. The perspective of strong sustainability is for natural capital to be maintained, because you can t produce manufactured capital without natural capital. Natural capital can perform many economic functions when it is maintained properly. Such as environmental eco systems that support human life and the co existence of other species. Through strong sustainability natural capital when maintained over numerous generations, allows everyone over time to have equal access. This is difficult to do, being able to maintain natural capital over multiple generations. It is much easier to maintain total capital and manufactured stock. This is reflected in present day society, with declining natural stocks but increased manufactured ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We woke up early that morning to get ready for the exciting day ahead of us. We bundled up in many layers of clothes and made some cofee for my Dad. We then set off to the blind before the trophies come out. As I was walking to the blind I could see my breath. As the sun set over the leafless trees, we began to start hearing some life throughout the woods. Although the movement we have heard has not been the trophy we have been looking for it just keeps my heart pumping. We have probably been in the blind for about 5 hours so we decided to go grab something to eat from the truck when suddenly we heard heavy footsteps right behind our blind which is where the door is. I creeked the door open and what I saw made my heart go a million miles a second. 3 doe stood behind us creeping around. They seemed very sketchy so immediatly we closed the door and waited for them to come around to the front of the blind. The day got so much better knowing that there are deer in this area. Even though they were doe we still had the thought in our mind that a trophy buck might just pass through here looking for a mate. We watched the deer walk about 30 yards in front of us for about 20 miniutes but by that time i was ready for a buck to come through here. It was hard to sit still in the blind because there is old about 5 feet of room in there and I slighty moved my feet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most of the states in the United States consider driver under the influence and kill someone, vehicular manslaughter. According to Stim (2015), Alaska, Montana, and Arizona are the only three states that more often than not charge defendants with murder over manslaughter in vehicular deaths caused by driving under the influence. To put it in perspective, 94% of the states in the United States prefer manslaughter convictions over homicide. Vehicular manslaughter is broken down into two divisions. Vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and vehicular manslaughter with ordinary negligence. Gross negligence comes from driving that is extremely reckless. Ordinary negligence spawns from the driver failing to take the precautions as a typical driver, and injury/death is caused. For example, if an intoxicated driver is swerving all over the road and strikes a car that results in death for the opposing driver, that would be gross negligence. Now if an intoxicated driver fails to yield properly and t bones a car that results in death of the other driver, that would be ordinary negligence. If a defendant is found guilty of vehicular manslaughter, they face at least 4 10 years behind bars for each person killed. Therefore, if a car has two people in it that were killed, the sentencing can be doubled. In comparison, if a murder charge sticks, the defendant s sentence can range from 10 years to lifelong imprisonment. McCurley (2014) argues that both of the drivers involved in the accident could be found to be intoxicated. If one driver lives and the other dies, why should the driver that survives be charged with murder? He is saying that both drivers can be at fault as they were both intoxicated. Depending on your use there are typically more than 1 way to extract data. My personal preference is to use Python, which is a scripting programming language. There is a Python distribution called Anaconda that already has a lot of tools and packages included that you will want for Data Analytics. Once you ve installed Anaconda, you ll need to download an IDE (integrated developer environment), which is separate from Anaconda itself, but is what interfaces with the programs itself and allows you to code. The Cambridge Spies were more viewed as excellent trophies by the Soviets officials because these highly educated English men s attempt to leave the British lifestyle proved that the western lifestyles could not be good . Moreover, the third man among the Cambridge Spies, Kim Philby s spying against Britain and the U.S was both instrumental in the identification and murder of pro West intelligence officers, and war alert to individuals who sought to defect to the West (Westerman). In addition to the Cambridge Spies, George Blake, as a mole inside MI6, had exposed many British agents by passing over thousands of top secret documents to Moscow and(Parfitt). Non carbonated bottled water, referred to as sin gas (without gas), was hard to find. Trusting tap water was inviting serious illness, so Miguel consumed primarily Diet Coke and I resorted to regular Coke, which left me dehydrated a great deal of the time. A ham and cheese sandwich became my standard lunch at airport cafes. I based my choice on a combination of knowing it would not make me sick and the ease with which I could order. Sanwich de jamon y queso con Coca sin hielo, por favor. (Ham and cheese sandwich with Coca Cola, no ice.) Boy did I eat a lot of ham and cheese sandwiches washed down with bottles of warm Coke by the time the trip was over. Fortunately, there were memorable meals which provided a counterpoint to all the ham and cheese sandwiches.
