My practicum experience was quite an interesting one. I didn t know how it was going to work
but quickly saw it was easy to figure out. I do have a few mishaps because of the way my
resource is run, I often have to change my whole lesson at the last minute. So even though I
have written a lesson plan and scripted it out geared towards their IEP goals or basics, when I
see most of my students not getting something in class I chose to focus on what they need the

No words can describe the cloud of sorrow that hangs over Halifax and surrounding areas.
December 6th, 1917 will forever mark a tragedy in our history. I am very blessed that my
business and I survived the explosion, but I too am still grieving the loved ones I lost. As I walk
down to what once was known as the Richmond District of Halifax, it hard to imagine that a

He could of prevented the explosion through many different ways such as opening the hatches or
turning the boat back to sea. Instead he did none of these. In addition Captain Aimee Le Medec
blatantly ignored putting the red flag up on the Mont Blanc. For 20 minutes crowds collected

stamp on history by ushering in two different styles of the same idea. Cimabue Enthroned Madonna
and Giotto Enthroned Madonna became iconic images that have stood the test of time. At a glance
they appear to be same but with a closer look very distinct differences are apparent and

The most obvious difference is the way the painter arranged the images in the space of the
painting. Cimabue is one dimensional with no real floor, as represented by the angels standing
taller than each other with no elevated surface to speak of; as where Giotto has a natural incline
to the painting and the angels are kneeling on a solid floor. Cimabue painting all angels were
mirror images of each other and none look at the baby Jesus, and in contrast Giotto all angels
have different faces, robes and hair styles and all eyes are affixed on the baby Jesus. Jesus is close

The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 devastated citizens from San Francisco. After the disaster,
new technology advanced when detecting earthquakes. Different theories grew from the elastic
rebound theory to the theory that the soil determines the severity of the earthquake. Building
developed new plans to keep buildings from being destroyed by fires. Harry Fielding Reid, a
geologist, discovered a time difference between the preliminary tremors and the regular waves. Reid
concluded that the first set of tremors would have a lower amplitude than the second set of tremors.
Time became an essential part in determining the severity of the earthquake, so more precise
instruments of measurement were needed to help determine earthquakes.
Using this new information, Reid theorized that earthquakes are triggered by a fault slipping. Reid
referred to this process as a elastic rebound . Reid s theory observed that the eastern side of the fault
moved towards the southern region and away from the northern region. When observing the
western side, the results were the opposite. Reid continued his research on this theory by
conducting experiments using deformed jelly with a fault line.
With this information, scientists gained new information about the San Andreas Fault. The San
Andreas fault followed the border of California. The 1906 earthquake rupture started in Shelter

Milton Friedman bases his opinion on businesses and profit maximization on the foundation of
free enterprise. The free market theory believes that business managers have only one primary
responsibility, which is to maximize profit; also, the theory tells that government should not
involve in economic matters, except to prevent fraud and coercion (p. 7) Mr. Friedman argues
that a corporation, unlike a person, cannot have responsibility. I disagree with this notion. I don
t think that anyone would engage in a business contract with a corporation if they thought that a
corporation was not responsible to pay its bills. So therefore, a corporation can have legal, and
moral responsibilities. Milton Friedman uses what, to me, is the key phrase as long as it stays
within the rules of the game but does not define the phrase in terms of the legal system. My
question is what about the rules of the game that are not so much as even suggested in the law?
There are other rules that companies have to follow if they want to be successful; such as the
obvious supply and demand rules in the marketplace. Also, as we have seen with the production of
new ideas and technologies, the law follows progressions in technology and thinking. But the
principle of responsibility leads the legal cases being decided. Being compliant with the law may
keep them out of court, but companies know that holding themselves accountable to a higher
