Characteristics Of Abnormal Behaviors In Parks And Rec
Abnormal behaviors are seen daily, especially in an Parks Department building in
Pawnee, Indiana. In the TV show Parks and Rec, a character by the name of Leslie
Knope displays a personality that one can identify as quirky and out of the ordinary.
Her behaviors can be analyzed as unusual, self defeating, socially unacceptable, and
causing personal distress. The times Leslie Knope has shown characteristics of being
unusual is numerous. In almost every episode of Parks and Recreation, Leslie portrays
a behavior that is out of the ordinary, and among a minority. An example of odd
behavior would be when Andy Dwyer, a coworker of Leslie, is having his leg casts
removed after falling into a pit. Leslie Knope is with him at the doctor s office,
and asks to keep the casts in her possession after a doctor removes them from Andy
s legs, believing that the casts were a symbol of hope and new beginnings. Another
display of unusualness is when Leslie decides to promote the Pawnee Zoo by
holding a marital ceremony for two penguins that are new to the zoo. In this
wedding, she talks for the penguins, and dresses them in bridal wear, even though
both of the penguins are male. After this causes some disruption in the town, she
proceeds to capture the penguins from the zoo in Indiana, locks them in car seats,
and drive them to a zoo in Iowa. The last display of unusualness is when Leslie is
trying to make up a story to a park ranger to explain what happened when someone
accidently got shot. She takes the blame for no apparent reason, and tries to come up
with a reasonable explanation on what happened. Rather than coming up with a
reason that actually makes sense, she goes on a tangent off random things that have
nothing to do with what the park ranger had asked her. Along with showing traits of
being unusual, Leslie also exemplifies abnormal psychologyby having self defeating

Adversity is apparent in aspects of life. It manifests though feelings, thoughts, and
actions that occur through different situations. When adversity is combined with
dysfunction it creates a dynamic circumstance that tests the boundaries of individuals,
and by extension, society. This is the case when Director Clint Eastwood and author
Katherine Mansfield create the stories, Bridges of Madison County and Bliss.
Specifically, the characters of Francesca and Bertha must live with adversity they
have created through their own dysfunction in ascribing to societal conventions.
Dysfunctional relationships shape who Bertha and Francesca become in the midst of

psychologists that memory is not static, but rather it is influenced by ones internal

Introduction This paper presents a marketing plan for Kickstart, a new product
launched February 25, 2013 from Mountain Dew and PepsiCo in the United States.
PepsiCo is a beverage and snack company worldwide and Mountain Dew s Kickstart
is launching out a new way to do mornings with Kickstart, a fruit flavored caffeinated
Mountain Dew beverage (www.kickstart.com). Kickstart is advertised to present an
alternative to traditional morning beverages one that tastes great, includes real fruit
juice and has just the right amount of kick to help them start their days

Climate Key Trends (PEST) In terms of the PEST Analysis, political factors (Finch,
2012; The Secret Marketer, 2011) suggest that there is little governmental regulations
regarding the non alcoholic beverage industry domestically. There is evidence to
suggest that politicians and consumer advocacy groups have asked the U.S. Food
and Drug Administration to investigate the safety of the high levels of caffeine in
energy drinks for younger people (Choi, 2013) and that other companies are under
investigation for these concerns but this does not present a barrier to the marketplace.
Economically, soft drinks are not expensive and they are consumed by most
everyone. The soft drink industry is not influenced significantly by economic
influences. However, the raw materials used to create soft drinks and in juices like
sugar, fruits and vitamins may affect production costs and PepsiCo s costs of
production and the profit margin (Finch, 2012). The distribution channel and
transportation also affect the price of the product and the commercial tax rates can

Idealists also like to use the idea that when you are in a normal experience and state
