Analysis Of Scarlet By Marissa Meyer
There are many diverse reasons people set out on a mission or goal, some do it for fame and glory,
some do it for their family or friends, and some set goals to better the world. Scarlet Benoit, from
Scarlet, sought out to find her kidnapped grandmother. In the King of Mazy May, Walt Masters
wanted to warn Loren Hall that his claim was going to get jumped. Farah Ahmedi, from The Other
Side of the Sky, undertook the mission to escape Afghanistan with a prosthetic leg and her mother.
However, as diverse as these goals and characters are, all three had someone helping them or was
helping another.
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer is a story about a young girl named Scarlet Benoit setting out on a
treacherous journey to Paris to save her grandmother with the help of a man named Wolf. I ll help you.
(Meyer, page 134) Wolf, a man she met at a dinner, helped Scarlet throughout her journey. On the train
to Paris, where Scarlet s grandmother is said to be, someone got infected with The Plague. As the
author says, Are we jumping? [Scarlet] Yes. [Wolf] (Meyer, page 181). If Wolf hadn t told Scarlett to
jump out of the train she would have been stuck on that train or in quarantine for who knows how
long. Later, after they jumped out of the first train, they spied another train heading for Paris and
decided to jump onto it. then she was falling, the world tumbling around her. [...] her fall stopped with
a painful yank on her shoulder. (Meyer, page 236). Wolf saved Scarlet, if Wolf hadn t

Jimenez was responsible for coining the latest tourism come on, It s More Fun in the Philippines. He
talked about literature and how it can help the tourism industry which, as we all know, has yet to be
fully exploited. So many countries in our part of the world, particularly Thailand, have reaped millions
from the flood of tourists visiting these countries. We get only a trickle, for though we have great
possibilities, there is not enough global interest in our country and its attractions. Much of this is due
to our own myopia, of our leaders who do not understand or realize the myriad possibilities here if we
only know how to use them! Jimenez should produce long range programs. This is one common fault
of government; a new administration takes over and new policies are made no continuity is pursued.
Will the slogan, It s More Fun in the Philippines last only three years from now.? Will it be replaced
when a new administration takes over? This is a minor point; will initiatives today be continued in the
future? Does the present administration accept the past administration program enough to pursue its
good aspects? Will our tourism executives use them? Just consider this: how many visitors go to
England, to visit Stratford on Avon because they have enjoyed William Shakespeare s plays. Those
tourists clambering up the hills in Greece how many of them are there because they read the Homeric
classics? And Spain, which reaps so much

Today it is in our best interest to encourage everyone s potential by dedicating ourselves to the
continual improvement of our own abilities and those of the people with whom we work and live.
Total Quality is, essentially, a win win approach which works to everyone s ultimate advantage.
According to Deming, no human being should ever evaluate another human being. Therefore, TQM
emphasizes self improvement process. In addition, this principle also laminates to the focusing on
students strengths, individual learning styles, and different types of intelligences. A System of
Ongoing Process The third pillar of TQM as applied in education is the recognition of the organization
as a system and the work done within the organization must be seen as an ongoing process. The
primary implication of this principle is that individual students and teachers are less to blame for
failure than the system in which they work. Quality speaks to working on the system, which must be
examined to identify and eliminate the flawed processes that allow its participants to fail. Since
systems are made in the quality of those processes largely determine the quality of the resulting
product. In the new paradigm of learning , continual improvement of learning outcomes replaces the
outdated teach and test mode. Leadership The fourth TQM principle applied to education is that the
success of TQM is the responsibility of top management. The school teachers must

The Differences Which the Regions of New England and...
Although the New England and Chesapeake regions of the United States were both settled by the
English in the 1600s, they developed into two very different communities based mainly on their
geographical location and religious devotion. Unlike their European rivals, the English founded
colonies in North America.
Settlers in the Chesapeake region used force to take possession of Indian lands. The Chesapeake
region of the colonies included Virginia, Maryland, the New Jerseys and Pennsylvania. In 1607,
Jamestown (the first English colony in the New World) was founded by a group of settlers along the
James River. And because the colony was near water, the Pilgrims had a great advantage. They created

The population was majority black slaves and with the downfall in the tobacco industry, plantation
owners relied on them to become their own indentured servants.
New England was north of the Chesapeake, and included Massachusetts Bay Colony, Plymouth,
Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Haven (which soon became part of Connecticut). The New
Englanders were largely Puritan Separatists, who sought religious freedom. They came in large
groups, or families, bringing with them their children and servants because they wanted to
permanently settle in America without returning to England. When the Church of England separated
from Catholicism under Henry VIII, Protestantism flourished in England. Some Protestants, however,
wanted complete separation from Catholicism and looked to Calvinism. These Separatists, along with
the Catholics who had not joined the Church of England, came to New England in hopes of finding
this religious freedom where they would be free to have their own beliefs. The farms that they had
been left with were much smaller and less productive. The farmers were in need of more land, and
they had to fight with Indians over land rights. This had led to Bacon s Rebellion of 1676. Although
the rebellion was not successful, it was one of the major economic and political developments in the
American colonies. New England settlers reproduced much of England s economy, with only minor
variations. They did not invest

The Key Elements Of Brand Image
Brands have become a primary role in modern society, which are included as a main part of a business
s capital (Kapferer, 2004). According to Lin and Hsu (2009) the brand image has been gradually
recognized as a major topic for many marketing organizations. An excellent brand image not only
helps companies to build market positions, but also makes it stand out from many competitors.
Moreover, it is important that a successful brand should establish a good brand s reputation, thus to
win the trust of consumers. The key issues for managing and improving brand image may include
following: whether the firms of different type, size or age should concern the same elements of its
brand image? What different elements should they pay attention to? ... Show more content on

It is important that an entrepreneur should design a right brand name which could make customers
remember it in a short advertisement and consider its meaning. Apple, a well known name of a
computer company which is a typical example for use name to win in competition. This name is easy
for people to activate it in memory, because it makes people think of the nutrient rich apple and give
them a familiar feeling. And then arouse people s interested to know a lot about its product. Thus, the
name gave this firm a warm and comfortable personality. Hence, a right brand name is a critical
element to build the brand image.
Although a right name of the brand is the core element of the brand image, a visual element also is the
main element of it. Coss (2009) provided four important points to build the visual image including the
following: first the company should make sure its logo and symbols of its brand could represent this
company. Then, the best of the color program should be combine all of its materials and suitable for its
goals. Next, the whole look needs to enhance the feeling of the visual that the firm wants through its
product and service to express. Finally, the printed materials should reflect the major element of the
look and feel of its website. The majority of brands could prove a right visual image is the big part of
brand image, such as Tiffany Co that is a well known luxury and fashion brand in the world.

This is where agencies such as the CIA and NSA have been ignoring peoples rights, and invading their
privacy by spying on them and stealing their data. An prime example of this is the PRISM

whistle blower Eduard Snowden. The program collects user collects e mail, voice, text and video chats

The right to privacy is something every human on the planet has, but the NSA and numerous other
nefarious agencies choose to ignore this and continue to snoop on citizens, checking their every digital

What Is Marriage Like In The 1800s
In life especially, 2,000 years ago, there was a path that women were expected to take. Marriage being
the number one decision and path they were supposed to endure. Today, women role in society has
changed tremendously since the 1800s. Women are now a little more equal to men. In Chopin, Kate.
The Story of an Hour and Hawthorne, Nathaniel. The Birth mark, two stories about gender role and
marriages, show how it was like in the 1800s. Their opinion of marriage was correct even though
somethings were flawed.
The Story of an Hour, is about Louise Mallard, a woman who has heart trouble. She is informed by
her sister that Brently Mallard, her husband has died in a railroad disaster. The story first informs us

Immanuel Kant And Mary Wollstonecraft
What it takes to be free does not necessarily mean escaping tangible shackles that binds around our
wrists and ankles, but this could be removing the limitations that are put on specific people based on
their status or gender. Immanuel Kant (1784) approaches the theme of being free in An Answer to the
Question: What is Enlightenment? that is about reaching a psychological state, which is to able
express and act freely without being guided by the monarchy. However, Mary Wollstonecraft s (1792)
A Vindication of the Rights of Woman conveys being free as giving females identical opportunities
and treatments that males receive. Although both these authors approach what it takes to be free in
their respective texts, however, they discuss about separate matters regarding this topic.
There are many viewpoints of being free and the measures it takes for these restrictions to be removed
for freedom. Immanuel Kant and Mary Wollstonecraft represent a separate matter of individuals being
restricted within a boundary. They both stand for a particular group of people that exists within the
world. Kant believes that the human population subconsciously feel that they have no reason to
express their emotions or think independently, and as a result they develop a fear of being criticised or
judged upon in society by those who hold great power. He proposes that a person needs to gain
courage that is a requirement of Enlightenment to think and act freely, but expressing one s

Lumbar Interval Disc Degeneration
The impact of smoking in lumbar interval disc degeneration and sciatica was also reported several
times. Battié et al. (1991) studied the impact of smoking in lumbar interval disc degeneration of
identical twins using magnetic resonance imaging. Results showed that the risk of lumbar interval disc
degeneration was 18% greater for smokers compared to non smokers. Non occupational lifting was
also studied as a risk factor for herniated lumbar intervertebral disc (Mundt et al. 1993). For this study,

The first study published (Videman, et al., 1998) was involved monozygotic twins in Finns, with
alleles of the TaqI and FokI polymorphism being associated with reduced magnetic resonance imaging
signals of thoracic and lumbar discs. Another more recent study which confirmed the previous study
was based on 205 Japanese volunteers and patients between age 20 and 29 years. From this study was
found that Tt genotype of the TaqI polymorphism were more frequently associated with multilevel
disc disease, severe disc degeneration and disc herniation than the TT genotype (Kawaguchi et al.,
2002). In addition, influence of TaqI polymorphism to lumbar degenerative disc disease verified in
Chinese population (Cheung, et al., 2006). The fact that replication of TaqI polymorphism was
appeared in three different populations makes VDR as the most robust of genes associated with disc
degeneration disease. The reason for this is not clear but a possible explanation is based on the fact
that the polymorphism can affect the receptor level and function of vitamin D. Based on the fact that
vitamin D influence the sulphate metabolism which is important for sulphation of glycosaminoglycans
(GAGs) during proteoglycan synthesis, the latter can lead to changes in the structural characteristic of

Frame Narrative In Beowulf
Early English literature proceeds from orally transmitted storytelling, relying on the construction of an
epic past to develop a sense of patriotism within the country. As written culture becomes more
prevalent, however, this genre s timeless attribute diminishes due an increase in recorded history
which gradually turns literature s focus from mystical origins to a concrete present. Frame narrative,
or stories within a story, exist prevalently within the epic genre, but persist throughout this transition,
generally preserving structure, but mutating in function. Although early literature forms like the epic
employ frame narratives to convey their grandiose style, the transition from historical epics to satirical
poetry aligns with frame narrative s transition as an element of style to one of theme. In British oral
tradition, storytelling mainly serves to instill patriotic zeal within citizens. The advent of literacy
results in the transcription of these stories, which predominantly take the form of the epic: an origin
story in which an epic hero displays heroic acts in a setting with few temporal cues, disconnecting the
story from any specific point in history. Beowulf, one such epic, exhibits these properties, with events
transpiring without indication of the relative passage of time. One literary device which lends itself to
the manifestation of this quality, the frame narrative, muddles the reader s perspective of time by
constantly by jumping between events in the main

The Beatles are one of the most recognizable names in the music industry. Anyone can easily
recognize songs that have been performed by The Beatles. The band s popularity hasn t always been

Record executive, to make one of the most regrettable decisions of his life. To really look at whether
Rowe had made the wrong choice at the time based on what he knew, it is important to look at the
time period during which he made his decision and to look at who The Beatles were at that time, more
specifically January 1, 1962. When looking at Dick Rowe and why he made the decision he made, it s

The Production of Sesame in Ethiopia Essay examples
Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), is probably the most ancient oilseed known and used by man (Weiss,
1983). The cultivated sesame belongs to order Tubiflorae, family Pedaliaceae; about thirty seven
species have been described in to the genus sesamum, but only Sesamum indicum has been
recognized as a cultivated species (Getinet et al. 1998). Even though the origin of sesame is still in
debate, Mehra (1967) and Mahajan (2007) considered Ethiopia as the origin of cultivated sesame.
Bedigian (1981) argues that, owing to the wide genetic diversity in East Africa (Ethiopia), it is
reasonable to assume that this subcontinent is the primary center of origin and India would then be
thought of as a secondary center for sesame. Sesame seed, also known as ... Show more content on

Sesame can fit well with other summer annuals in a crop rotation, but may be sensitive to some soil
persistent herbicides. Sesame reportedly can provide some improvement in soil tilth or structure due to
extensive rooting. Sesame must also be planted shallow, depth of planting varies with soil type and
soil moisture from 3 to 5 cm under row planting 10cm and 40cm between plants and rows is
recommended respectively. Uniform depth and seed rate are essential for good stand establishment
resulting in maximum yield (Geremew et al., 2012).
In Ethiopia, sesame grows well in the lowlands either as sole crop or intercropped with millet or
sorghum (Mesfin et al., 2004). Sesame is very drought tolerant it has been called a survivor crop, with
an ability to grow where most crops fail. It has a significant role to the Ethiopian economy as it is used
for local uses (local oil extraction, soups and mixed with sugar), export market and as a source of
employment opportunity. Ethiopia has high quality sesame seed cultivars suitable for wide range
applications, in particular the Humera type sesame is appreciated worldwide for its aroma and sweet
taste (Wijnands et al., 2009).

Corn Vs Corn
Although cows evolved to survive on grass, farmers are now feeding them corn for rapid growth to
benefit the U.S. Economy. After six months, calves are weaned off grass, put into pens, and forced to
eat corn. While this does not make sense from an environmental, health, or humane treatment of
animal s viewpoint, economically it does, as a corn enriched diet enables cows to reach slaughter
weight faster and produce more to meet demands. Corn is a cheap commodity to purchase compared
to the farmer s cost to produce. The industrial farmer relies on the large volume and low purchase
price of corn to help shorten a cow s lifespan and provide food more rapidly to the American
population. Grass fed cows take longer to reach their ideal weight for ... Show more content on

The introduction of chemical fertilizers and other technological inputs created a surplus of corn on
American farmland. In the early 1900 s farmers were only able to grow small bushels of corn but
today there is an excess amount. Although such an overabundance represented a great achievement in
American agriculture, the excess corn needed some use and one way to reduce overage is to feed it to
farm animals; especially cows. Corn does not require a lot of space to store and it is extremely easy to
collectively feed a considerable number of cows. Feeding cows low priced corn as required by the
Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation s CAFO is economically efficient and enables the production
of large quantities of marbled meat that was once a luxury for many Americans. However, even
though feeding corn to cattle helps in the process of fattening cows for slaughter, it also produces
many health risks that the United States Department of Agriculture USDA overlooks in their effort to
help eliminate the corn surplus, and bring rapid profit to the few corporations that run the meat

day. I ran up the stairs and took the first right turn to my room. Posters of everything from Twenty One
Pilots to Minecraft cluttered the walls. Not an inch of dark blue paint was showing. Ah, Minecraft...
the only way to skip your real life problems and enter an entire world of new problems. I tossed my
book bag to the side of my desk where my glorious MacBook Pro sat along with all my other crap I
have yet to look through or throw out. I took out my headset and plugged it into the jack. I really
should be doing my homework right now, I thought as I logged into Minecraft. But that wasn t going
to happen. One left click and in two short seconds I would be in my most successful world, Survival 1.
But something strange happened when I pressed the mouse. I felt as if I had been ripped into pieces,
but it wasn t entirely of that nature. I felt as if my body and soul was being split into two. Then I
blacked out.

Seventh Day Adventist Controversy
The development of the Seventh Day Adventists church has not come absent from controversy.
Discrepancy has been in our midst since our origins, at times, even theological misunderstandings
have also been part of the development of our doctrines. In spite of disagreements, it has been the
church s efforts to avoid an officially adopted creedal statement, preferring as a denomination an open
end theology. This has been treasured by the church because it allows new light to penetrate, but at the
same time creates room for different biblical understandings to emerge, which could lead to confusion.
Perhaps one of the most controversial issues in the church was the publication in the year 1957 of the
book called, Seventh day Adventists Answer

Importance Of Natural Rights In Nepal Essay
HOW GOOD IS YOUR GOVERNMENT ACCORDING TO JOHN LOCKE?
John Locke was an English 17th century philosopher. He believed that, in return for the citizens letting
the government take control, the government should give complete rights to life, liberty, and property
to the people. These are known as John Locke s natural rights. These natural rights mean that an ideal
government must provide safety to the people, protect their property and belongings and give the
people adequate freedom. Nepal is a country in southern Asia, with a population of 28.98 million. The
official language of Nepal is Nepali. It s has a Federal Parliamentary Republic government system,
with its president being Bidhya Devi Bhandari and the prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. It became
a country in the year 1768. The structure of the government provides the natural rights to the people of
Nepal. However, the performance of the government needs to be improved significantly to safeguard
these rights.
The first natural right is Life. The government should provide adequate safety to the citizens.
Following are some of the relevant statistics. Nepal is the 65th highest country out of 203 for murder
rates. It had 818 cases of murder in 2009. It is 74th highest out of 134 countries for intentional
homicide, with 2.8 cases per every 100,000 people. In addition, Nepal is rated 46th out of 132 for
overall crime levels. The country went through a decade long civil war between the Maoists, followers
of the communist, Mao Zedong, and the security forces of Nepal. During this war, there were several
cases of torture, murder and other serious violations. Even though the war ended in 2006, no one has
been accounted for the violations. The police routinely refuse to answer complaints from the victims
or their relatives and many of the police investigations were flawed. There has also been some
international pressure to bring justice to the crimes. This shows that the government can do a lot better
to protect the lives of citizens. Another example is the way the government responded to the April
2015 Earthquake, otherwise known as the Gorkha Earthquake. There were 9000 lives lost and 22 000
people injured. Even though the government knew that the country was

Advantages Of Discount Brokers
The advent of discount brokers in the Indian market have revolutionized the way trading is done in
India.
Discount brokerages have heavily brought down the cost of trading. This has proven to be a boon to
the traders especially the intraday and the derivatives trades.
Discount brokerages like RKSV and Zerodha have already started hurting the broking industry. Full
service brokers had made a request to market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India
(SEBI) to impose a minimum slab on the brokerage being charged by discount brokers. This request
was declined, clearing the way for more aggressive competition.
These brokers rely entirely on the online trading platform and technology to keep costs down, while

Getting more profits
Put simply, we are out there to make money in the stock markets. When one goes through the contract
note of the regular brokers, there are huge costs spent on brokerages, taxes and duties. At a brokerage
of Rs.30 on per lot of Option one has to pay a brokerage of around Rs.150 for 5 lots. There are also
duties and taxes which increase it to Rs.200.When the same thing is done through a discount
brokerage the brokerage cost is Rs.20 and adding the taxes and duties it come to Rs.40. There is
saving of Rs.150. It directly adds more money to the profits.
2. No need to sacrifice the quality of the execution.
There is no difference between trading through a regular broker and a discount broker. There is still
the old facility of call and trade. There is the new facility of mobile trading and online trading.
3. More high frequency trades
The reduction of brokerage brings down the breakdown even. The intraday brokerage for discount
brokerage is 0.01% or Rs.20, whichever is lower. So, in small trades, when a trader buys at 100.01 and
sells at 100.05, he still makes profit. In large trades, the advantage is even more as the brokerage is
even less due to the Rs.20 cap. This reduction of breakeven point enables a trader to do more

Report on Romania
ROMANIA
Topic 1: State sponsored description based on sexual orientation
Description about Romania
Although Romania was originally a part of the Ottoman Empire, several principalities gained their
autonomy and then united to join the Axis powers. The greatest impact on Romanian people came
from Soviet occupation of the Eastern bloc, which caused an establishment of communism as the main
government ideology and led to slow economic growth during the 20th century, a time of rapid
industrialization and growth for many nations across the globe. Today, Romania is a member of both
the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU). Situated between
Bulgaria and Ukraine, it is home to one of the sputtering economies in the region, which is based on
manufacture of industrial capacity machinery and chemicals to other trade partners such as Germany
and Italy. Romania also boasts one of the largest labor forces in the world. One major issue with
Romania is its problem with drugs, as it serves as a conduit for laundering through government
officials and financial institutions.
Overview of the topic
In the past two decades, the rapidly expanding trend among countries has been towards decrease in
human rights allegations against LBGT people. With the emergence of regional government
institutions to keep the problem in check and the increasing accessibility of international courts to
pursue and take action against violations of gay rights, the world has taken a

A Comparison Of Art In Wiggins s Of Mice And Men
The project this group presented to the class would happen to be a Prezi presentation. The Prezi
presentation was complete with descriptions and comparisons of not only characters, but also of style,
technique, settings, themes, cultural influences, symbols, art based off of the novels, and some rabbit
clip art. The art ties into each novel in its own, specific ways. The first piece, which is untitled, shows
white silhouettes of Lennie and George standing inside the black silhouette of a rabbit. This shows
how their dream, of owning a rabbit farm, was bigger than the both of them, and that to do it, they
would require help. Another piece, Of Mice and Men by Mick Wiggins, shows the close friendship
between George and Lennie, and how for the longest time, it was really only the both of them on their
travels together. Meanwhile, the final piece, The Departure of the Joads by Thomas Hart Bennon,
shows the dreariness of the Okies situation, along with a symbol of hope for the future shown by the
light shining radiantly from beyond their vehicle. Many of Steinbeck s characters can be rather cruel,

However, it is recognized that there is still a lot of ill health that is related to diseases of poverty and
ignorance. Of the six WHO regions in the world, the African Region bears the heaviest burden of
disease (WHO, 2000). Effective and efficient implementation of national and local policies can
reverse this trend. Indeed, the world press (2008) opined that a critical challenge for countries in
Africa is to move from policy to action in the health service delivery. This move from policy to action
should be grounded on each country addressing its priority health needs and mobilizing its people to
improve the state of health service delivery at personal and community levels.
According to a World Bank report, Sri Lanka has achieved a remarkable health service delivery as a
result of devolution (World Bank 2010). This has been attributed to successful implementation of a
credible budget constraint for the hospital; reform to strengthen the accountability of managers for the
performance of the hospital through the creation of a board of external directors or trustees, or a
hospital authority to supervise the manager; and increased managerial authority with freedom to
recruit, promote, set tasks and work hours, and decide on performance rewards and sanctions. Further,

Summer Of 83 Chapter 2 Summary
If you aren t willing to face your demons if you can t find the courage to take on your fear and hurt
and anger you might as well wrap them up with a bow and give them to your children. Because they
will be carrying the same thing...unless you are willing to do the work (Page 46). In chapter 2 summer
of 83 Dickey tells his traumatic rape stories. Dickey demonstrated a great deal of fear and innocence.
At the tender age of ten, R.A. was exposed to very explicit behaviour numerous amounts of time.
Dickey, being a child at the time, was not able to express himself out of fear. The acts were so
traumatic for such an innocent child that it left mental scars causing him to fall into a deep depression.

search of self awareness, he had little to no confidence in his pitches. He relied heavily on his knuckle

career at jeopardy. Once Dickey turned to his Christian faith, he began to find his self awareness that
he was searching for and started to excel in his performance. Although he did well, he wanted to be
the best, so he paid attention to the game as a whole and realized that one is only good as their last
inning . With this thought in the back of his head he came to the conclusion that he needs to learn from
the mistakes he made in previous games rather than dwelling on them. Also, he realized that the fans
play a crucial part in the game, they know how to get in the players head and make them feel for their
mistakes, so having a rock hard confidence is key, not only for the fans, but for big games like the
playoffs as well. Dickey s new found confidence is what put him on the map, winning him several
accolades and a big contract. Having a short term memory and a bulletproof confidence is what

Quality Dimensions And Measures Tables
Quality Dimensions and Measures Tables
In 2000, a Cincinnati nursing home had an unfortunate accident in which a bottle of nitrogen was
mistaken for pure oxygen. As a result, four residents passed away. This situation provides an
opportunity for organizations to look at how their processes may lead to potential failures. It is also
important to understand how certain conditions can influence errors and violation within the
workplace. In this incidence, OSHA turned the case over to the FDA for further investigation. Health
care administrators should understand the differences between the two agencies so that adverse events
are reported to the correctly. Another vital role for a health care administrator is to understand the five
principles of the Culture of Safety model, how the model could have been used to avoid this error, and
how to apply them within their institutions to avoid other potential mistakes.
Perrow s Factors and Higher Risks of Accidents Health care institutions are pitted against a barrage of
potential hazards, some of which can be life threatening to the patient and employee. In the relentless
attempt to secure and save lives, Charles Perrow suggests that complex systems are prone to inevitable
accidents identifying three universal elements (Sollecito Johnson, 2013, pp. 251 252):
1. Human error regardless of the level of skill and training will eventually falter.
2. Systems have natural flaws and multiple factors will trigger failure within the

Eternal Sunshine Belonging
I remember writing a speech in English class in high school about human behavior on happiness. In
this paper I wrote, I think we spend too much time contemplative on the undesirable certainties of our
past and we become so blinded by all the good things that are happening around us. The song Eternal
Sunshine is written by Jhenè Aiko; in this song she reaches out for something more intimate like
disturbing memories hidden deep within her mind. This specific music video takes you through a
series of events from Jhenè s past, stressing the presence of thoughts we put aside when surrounded by
people, things we only think about when we are in a dark place in life, and concealed in eternal
thoughts. Throughout the video, Jhenè s body is arising from the ground while her potentially fatal car
accident is vividly reenacted behind her along with good remembrances from her childhood. Though
Jhenè Aiko is usually speaking about love and weed that does not infer that she has not had her fair

viewers the desire to look forward to an unpredictable scene. By this being the introduction to Jhenè s
music video, it instantly sets the mood and emotions for the audience. It was a great introduction to
the movie because it made wonder what was going to happen next. Before the video I had no clue this
incident ever occurred in her life. With Aiko singing, Is it strange for me to say that if I were to die

Advice to First Writing Course at the University of Central Florida
Writing courses can be challenging and that is why I decided to write this personal narrative. I believe
that a personal narrative is better for an advice column than a research paper. A personal narrative
would give more personal experience and insight on how the course was. It would be more valid since
it is true. I think people learn better when they read and hear something from the person they are
talking to rather than being about other people, especially when it comes to advice.

They can properly quote it or paraphrase it using MLA format. This will demonstrate the student using
strategies to better comprehend difficult texts. Students should also learn to adapt to different writing
contexts. Throughout this course, I had to learn new vocabulary such as rhetorical situation and
discourse community. These are actually types of essays I had to write during this course. When
writing these types of essays, one has to keep in mind their audiences and their own experience.
Lastly, students will consider how social, rhetorical, and technological contexts shape writing because
it reflects sensitivity to school writing as a social affair (McCarthy 231).
There are some constraints that I had to think about when deciding the genre of this paper. One
constraint to this personal narrative is the time I took this course. I took ENC 1101 during the Summer
B section. Summer B was only six weeks long and I had to learn the concepts of this course in that
amount of time when it usually takes around sixteen weeks. This made the course much harder for me
and other students. Especially because English is my second language, it takes me longer to read and
analyze articles. This was also one out of two of my first classes as a college students. It is a different
environment and I had to adapt to different situations and expectations. Another constraint is about
those students that already have credit for ENC

Rise of Warriors Essay
A change in governance structure can take place due to any variety of causes. While it is well known
that Japan was governed for centuries by the warrior class, it is not always known why. The samurai
rose to power over a long period of time. Following their eventual rise to the top of the Japanese social
ladder, they spent centuries consolidating their new power. There were a number of factors that lead to
the rise of the warrior class in the late Heian period, continuing until their the Meiji Restoration. The
samurai were able to rise to power for a number of reasons, including the leadership and actions of
notable warrior class families: the Taira, Minamoto and Hojo. Another factor leading to the rise of the
warriors was the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Taira, however, stood out above the Minamoto by having a more favourable position with the
Emperors. The growing rivalry between the two families lead to an increasing tension between the
two. Despite both working for the Emperor, it was understood that if a war broke out: one of these two
clans were to defeat the other, there would be nothing but tradition to stop the victor from taking over
all government authority, 3. This is, of course, what occurred during the Genpei War. The Minamoto
family, too, had a significant role in the growth of the samurai. After the defeat of the Taira clan in the
Genpei war, the Minamoto family, under its leader Yoritomo, founded the first warrior government4.
Their political rivals defeated, the Minamoto were in a position from which they could shape their
country; this was further justified by Prince Mochihito who gave them legal authority5. The
government the Kamakura shogunate that was created under the early rule of the Minamoto was based
on a confederation of Eastern warriors, 6. In doing this, the Minamoto family united the warrior class
in some of the most developed parts of the country. Simultaneously, they brought the warrior class to
the forefront of authority and power in Japanese society. The importance of the Taira family in the rise
of the warrior class is somewhat limited, but absolutely necessary nonetheless. In order for the
Minamoto to take control of the government, they

History And Evolution Of Africa
Africa played a pivotal role in human evolution. It s the site of the beginning of human evolution, as
they slowly evolved from their primitive ancestors and continued to evolve for millions of years. A
majority of the fossils, some dating back almost 7 million years, are found in Africa. As ancient
humans migrated out of Africa they stayed close to the coast. Scientists have been able to trace their
migration to areas around the Indian Ocean, South Asia, and even as far down as Australia, also
referred to as Out of Africa Theory (OOA) by many scientists.
By examining these fossils scientist have discovered a plethora of early human and pre human species.
In central Chad fossils of Sahelanthropus tchadensis have been discovered, dating between 6 and 7
million years. Some researchers believe that Sahelanthropus tchadensis is the common ancestors that
links humans and chimpanzees. In Ethiopia Ardipithecus ramidus fossils, the earliest known biped,
have been found dating back 4.5 million years ago. Bipedalism was a major shift in early evolution
that many scientist attribute to climate and diet change. It arose around 4.2 3.5 million years ago when
hominids began moving away from areas that had dense trees and foliage to savanna areas. Savanna
habitats are primarily made up of tall grasses, giving bipeds an advantage; allowing them to have a
new elevated eye position and reduced their exposure to solar energy. Not only did it allow hominids
to be able to see over the tall

Compare And Contrast Hamlet Movies
The 1990 film version of Hamlet by Franco Zeffireni and the 1996 version by Michael Almereyda are
very different form on another as they both put the play into perspective in different lights with the
time they are set in. The 1990 version is set in the 14th to 15th century whereas the 1996 version is set
in 1990 s to 2000 s. The time the films are set in makes a huge difference to how different the versions
are, as it changes almost everything about the film. From the props that are used to the way the
characters interact with each other. The two film versions of Hamlet are drastically different from one
another all due to the time they are set in.
The biggest impact that the time of the film is the settings. The 1990 version is set in Denmark
whereas the 1996 is set in New York City. This changes many things about the movies. In the old
version there are castles, dungeons, and old looking architects. But in the modern day one there are

What makes a video Game popular?

Analysis Of Pablo Neruda
In most cases, texts that are translated lose meaning, as sometimes words from a native language
cannot be translated exactly into a desired language, or they lose context. World literature translations
also lead to the dangers of a single story where you only get to read one side of the story (the one of
the author) without having a perspective of the natives about the story that was written. To understand,
how language is used in world literature, and how text translations change our understanding and
meaning of the text, we need to be able to understand the culture, have historical understanding of the
time the literary work was written, and factors that might affect society in which the author had
written. When one wants to study world literature, they need to consider that translations of the text
smooths out not only linguistics richness but also the original and political force a work can have in its
original context. World literature needs to be studied with close attention to the original language and
context, including works that have new meaning and take new dimensions abroad. There is a shift that
unfolds on the internal logic of the work itself, but often come as complex dynamic of cultural change
and contestation. For a work to be considered a valuable piece in world literature it must be read first
as literature, and secondly circulate into a broader world beyond linguistic and cultural point of
origins. Pablo Neruda s poems are post colonial responses to

Theological Reflection Essay
Many weeks have passed since I last wrote about my theological perspective at length. I began the
class with lots of questions, and I do not believe I can say for sure that they have been answered, but I
can say that I am now at peace with the idea that some of my questions may not be able to be
answered in this life. It amazes me that I have been able to grow so much in such a short period of
time. The growing pains were great, but the reward was greater. I feel that I am in a much better place
in my life now. In the past few months, I have tried to reclaim some of the closeness to God that I feel
I have been missing. It has not been easy for me to give up control of my life. I have strong tendencies
to be in control of what goes on, so that I have some inclination of how to prepare to react. As a result
of learning to let go, I feel much less fearful of the future or my place in it. Not only has this class
helped me come to terms with the idea that I should not have total control over my life, but it has also
reminded me of things I had forgotten about. It truly left me pleasantly surprised with the content of
the class. I cannot lie, much of the curriculum contained information that I already had some
knowledge of, but that is only a result of my obsessive research in the pursuit of answers. However,
something that I appreciated greatly was the inclusion of the Apocrypha. Further, I appreciated that
verses from Apocryphal books were used in the same way that Canonical verses were used. This was
one of the biggest problems I had with the way Christianity has always been taught to me. Many
exclude the Apocrypha as if it does not even exist, much less as an original piece of the non canonical
Bible. This fact, colloquially stated, has always seemed sketchy to me. I was not even aware of its
existence until about a year ago. My foundations were shaken a little when I found out. I compare it to
finding out about a long held family secret. I could not find anything in what I read of the Apocrypha
to be too out there, so I did not understand why it was never mentioned in the first place. It seemed to
me that if they were so set on not mentioning it, there could be a whole array of other texts/writings

Phillips flat out rejection of a wedding cake sounded more like a refusal to serve gay and lesbian
couples rather than a conscientious objection to create particular expression on a confection (S.M.).
The couple also implied that Phillips rejection was more painful to them than the times they have been
slurred in public (Riccardi). To the couple, the refusal was also like the institution and society...saying:
(Riccardi) they weren t equal. The charging party s brief ...questioned whether the free speech clause
is implicated by a neutral state law that does not target speech and whether the free exercise clause
could possibly be violated by a state law that is neutral and generally applicable (S.M.). The baker did
not give a rejection on the basis of the Charging party s sexual orientation but, on his own religious
beliefs. He refused because, creating cakes for same sex marriages would go against

backed by the First Amendment s guarantees of free speech and free religion exercise which he says
prohibit Colorado from compelling him to make cakes that violate his conscience (S.M.). He does not

  • 2. Analysis Of Scarlet By Marissa Meyer There are many diverse reasons people set out on a mission or goal, some do it for fame and glory, some do it for their family or friends, and some set goals to better the world. Scarlet Benoit, from Scarlet, sought out to find her kidnapped grandmother. In the King of Mazy May, Walt Masters wanted to warn Loren Hall that his claim was going to get jumped. Farah Ahmedi, from The Other Side of the Sky, undertook the mission to escape Afghanistan with a prosthetic leg and her mother. However, as diverse as these goals and characters are, all three had someone helping them or was helping another. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer is a story about a young girl named Scarlet Benoit setting out on a treacherous journey to Paris to save her grandmother with the help of a man named Wolf. I ll help you. (Meyer, page 134) Wolf, a man she met at a dinner, helped Scarlet throughout her journey. On the train to Paris, where Scarlet s grandmother is said to be, someone got infected with The Plague. As the author says, Are we jumping? [Scarlet] Yes. [Wolf] (Meyer, page 181). If Wolf hadn t told Scarlett to jump out of the train she would have been stuck on that train or in quarantine for who knows how long. Later, after they jumped out of the first train, they spied another train heading for Paris and decided to jump onto it. then she was falling, the world tumbling around her. [...] her fall stopped with a painful yank on her shoulder. (Meyer, page 236). Wolf saved Scarlet, if Wolf hadn t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jimenez was responsible for coining the latest tourism come on, It s More Fun in the Philippines. He talked about literature and how it can help the tourism industry which, as we all know, has yet to be fully exploited. So many countries in our part of the world, particularly Thailand, have reaped millions from the flood of tourists visiting these countries. We get only a trickle, for though we have great possibilities, there is not enough global interest in our country and its attractions. Much of this is due to our own myopia, of our leaders who do not understand or realize the myriad possibilities here if we only know how to use them! Jimenez should produce long range programs. This is one common fault of government; a new administration takes over and new policies are made no continuity is pursued. Will the slogan, It s More Fun in the Philippines last only three years from now.? Will it be replaced when a new administration takes over? This is a minor point; will initiatives today be continued in the future? Does the present administration accept the past administration program enough to pursue its good aspects? Will our tourism executives use them? Just consider this: how many visitors go to England, to visit Stratford on Avon because they have enjoyed William Shakespeare s plays. Those tourists clambering up the hills in Greece how many of them are there because they read the Homeric classics? And Spain, which reaps so much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Today it is in our best interest to encourage everyone s potential by dedicating ourselves to the continual improvement of our own abilities and those of the people with whom we work and live. Total Quality is, essentially, a win win approach which works to everyone s ultimate advantage. According to Deming, no human being should ever evaluate another human being. Therefore, TQM emphasizes self improvement process. In addition, this principle also laminates to the focusing on students strengths, individual learning styles, and different types of intelligences. A System of Ongoing Process The third pillar of TQM as applied in education is the recognition of the organization as a system and the work done within the organization must be seen as an ongoing process. The primary implication of this principle is that individual students and teachers are less to blame for failure than the system in which they work. Quality speaks to working on the system, which must be examined to identify and eliminate the flawed processes that allow its participants to fail. Since systems are made in the quality of those processes largely determine the quality of the resulting product. The New Englanders were largely Puritan Separatists, who sought religious freedom. They came in large groups, or families, bringing with them their children and servants because they wanted to permanently settle in America without returning to England. When the Church of England separated from Catholicism under Henry VIII, Protestantism flourished in England. Some Protestants, however, wanted complete separation from Catholicism and looked to Calvinism. These Separatists, along with the Catholics who had not joined the Church of England, came to New England in hopes of finding this religious freedom where they would be free to have their own beliefs. The farms that they had been left with were much smaller and less productive. The farmers were in need of more land, and they had to fight with Indians over land rights. This had led to Bacon s Rebellion of 1676. Although the rebellion was not successful, it was one of the major economic and political developments in the American colonies. Immanuel Kant (1784) approaches the theme of being free in An Answer to the Question: What is Enlightenment? that is about reaching a psychological state, which is to able express and act freely without being guided by the monarchy. However, Mary Wollstonecraft s (1792) A Vindication of the Rights of Woman conveys being free as giving females identical opportunities and treatments that males receive. Although both these authors approach what it takes to be free in their respective texts, however, they discuss about separate matters regarding this topic. There are many viewpoints of being free and the measures it takes for these restrictions to be removed for freedom. Immanuel Kant and Mary Wollstonecraft represent a separate matter of individuals being restricted within a boundary. They both stand for a particular group of people that exists within the world. Kant believes that the human population subconsciously feel that they have no reason to express their emotions or think independently, and as a result they develop a fear of being criticised or judged upon in society by those who hold great power. He proposes that a person needs to gain courage that is a requirement of Enlightenment to think and act freely, but expressing one s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From this study was found that Tt genotype of the TaqI polymorphism were more frequently associated with multilevel disc disease, severe disc degeneration and disc herniation than the TT genotype (Kawaguchi et al., 2002). In addition, influence of TaqI polymorphism to lumbar degenerative disc disease verified in Chinese population (Cheung, et al., 2006). The fact that replication of TaqI polymorphism was appeared in three different populations makes VDR as the most robust of genes associated with disc degeneration disease. The reason for this is not clear but a possible explanation is based on the fact that the polymorphism can affect the receptor level and function of vitamin D. Based on the fact that vitamin D influence the sulphate metabolism which is important for sulphation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) during proteoglycan synthesis, the latter can lead to changes in the structural characteristic of the extracellular matrix in the intervertebral ... • 15. Frame Narrative In Beowulf Early English literature proceeds from orally transmitted storytelling, relying on the construction of an epic past to develop a sense of patriotism within the country. As written culture becomes more prevalent, however, this genre s timeless attribute diminishes due an increase in recorded history which gradually turns literature s focus from mystical origins to a concrete present. Frame narrative, or stories within a story, exist prevalently within the epic genre, but persist throughout this transition, generally preserving structure, but mutating in function. Although early literature forms like the epic employ frame narratives to convey their grandiose style, the transition from historical epics to satirical poetry aligns with frame narrative s transition as an element of style to one of theme. In British oral tradition, storytelling mainly serves to instill patriotic zeal within citizens. The advent of literacy results in the transcription of these stories, which predominantly take the form of the epic: an origin story in which an epic hero displays heroic acts in a setting with few temporal cues, disconnecting the story from any specific point in history. Beowulf, one such epic, exhibits these properties, with events transpiring without indication of the relative passage of time. One literary device which lends itself to the manifestation of this quality, the frame narrative, muddles the reader s perspective of time by constantly by jumping between events in the main ... • 17. The Production of Sesame in Ethiopia Essay examples Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), is probably the most ancient oilseed known and used by man (Weiss, 1983). The cultivated sesame belongs to order Tubiflorae, family Pedaliaceae; about thirty seven species have been described in to the genus sesamum, but only Sesamum indicum has been recognized as a cultivated species (Getinet et al. 1998). Even though the origin of sesame is still in debate, Mehra (1967) and Mahajan (2007) considered Ethiopia as the origin of cultivated sesame. Bedigian (1981) argues that, owing to the wide genetic diversity in East Africa (Ethiopia), it is reasonable to assume that this subcontinent is the primary center of origin and India would then be thought of as a secondary center for sesame. He believed that, in return for the citizens letting the government take control, the government should give complete rights to life, liberty, and property to the people. These are known as John Locke s natural rights. These natural rights mean that an ideal government must provide safety to the people, protect their property and belongings and give the people adequate freedom. Nepal is a country in southern Asia, with a population of 28.98 million. The official language of Nepal is Nepali. It s has a Federal Parliamentary Republic government system, with its president being Bidhya Devi Bhandari and the prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. It became a country in the year 1768. The structure of the government provides the natural rights to the people of Nepal. However, the performance of the government needs to be improved significantly to safeguard these rights. The first natural right is Life. The government should provide adequate safety to the citizens. Following are some of the relevant statistics. Nepal is the 65th highest country out of 203 for murder rates. It had 818 cases of murder in 2009. It is 74th highest out of 134 countries for intentional homicide, with 2.8 cases per every 100,000 people. In addition, Nepal is rated 46th out of 132 for overall crime levels. The country went through a decade long civil war between the Maoists, followers of the communist, Mao Zedong, and the security forces of Nepal. During this war, there were several cases of torture, murder and other serious violations. Even though the war ended in 2006, no one has been accounted for the violations. The police routinely refuse to answer complaints from the victims or their relatives and many of the police investigations were flawed. There has also been some international pressure to bring justice to the crimes. This shows that the government can do a lot better to protect the lives of citizens. Another example is the way the government responded to the April 2015 Earthquake, otherwise known as the Gorkha Earthquake. There were 9000 lives lost and 22 000 people injured. These are actually types of essays I had to write during this course. When writing these types of essays, one has to keep in mind their audiences and their own experience. Lastly, students will consider how social, rhetorical, and technological contexts shape writing because it reflects sensitivity to school writing as a social affair (McCarthy 231). There are some constraints that I had to think about when deciding the genre of this paper. One constraint to this personal narrative is the time I took this course. I took ENC 1101 during the Summer B section. Summer B was only six weeks long and I had to learn the concepts of this course in that amount of time when it usually takes around sixteen weeks. This made the course much harder for me and other students. Especially because English is my second language, it takes me longer to read and analyze articles. This was also one out of two of my first classes as a college students. It is a different environment and I had to adapt to different situations and expectations. Another constraint is about those students that already have credit for ENC ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Rise of Warriors Essay A change in governance structure can take place due to any variety of causes. While it is well known that Japan was governed for centuries by the warrior class, it is not always known why. The samurai rose to power over a long period of time. Following their eventual rise to the top of the Japanese social ladder, they spent centuries consolidating their new power. There were a number of factors that lead to the rise of the warrior class in the late Heian period, continuing until their the Meiji Restoration. The samurai were able to rise to power for a number of reasons, including the leadership and actions of notable warrior class families: the Taira, Minamoto and Hojo. Another factor leading to the rise of the warriors was the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Taira, however, stood out above the Minamoto by having a more favourable position with the Emperors. The growing rivalry between the two families lead to an increasing tension between the two. Despite both working for the Emperor, it was understood that if a war broke out: one of these two clans were to defeat the other, there would be nothing but tradition to stop the victor from taking over all government authority, 3. This is, of course, what occurred during the Genpei War. The Minamoto family, too, had a significant role in the growth of the samurai. After the defeat of the Taira clan in the Genpei war, the Minamoto family, under its leader Yoritomo, founded the first warrior government4. Their political rivals defeated, the Minamoto were in a position from which they could shape their country; this was further justified by Prince Mochihito who gave them legal authority5. The government the Kamakura shogunate that was created under the early rule of the Minamoto was based on a confederation of Eastern warriors, 6. In doing this, the Minamoto family united the warrior class in some of the most developed parts of the country. Simultaneously, they brought the warrior class to the forefront of authority and power in Japanese society. The importance of the Taira family in the rise of the warrior class is somewhat limited, but absolutely necessary nonetheless. In order for the Minamoto to take control of the government, they ... • 34. History And Evolution Of Africa Africa played a pivotal role in human evolution. It s the site of the beginning of human evolution, as they slowly evolved from their primitive ancestors and continued to evolve for millions of years. A majority of the fossils, some dating back almost 7 million years, are found in Africa. As ancient humans migrated out of Africa they stayed close to the coast. Scientists have been able to trace their migration to areas around the Indian Ocean, South Asia, and even as far down as Australia, also referred to as Out of Africa Theory (OOA) by many scientists. By examining these fossils scientist have discovered a plethora of early human and pre human species. In central Chad fossils of Sahelanthropus tchadensis have been discovered, dating between 6 and 7 million years. Some researchers believe that Sahelanthropus tchadensis is the common ancestors that links humans and chimpanzees. In Ethiopia Ardipithecus ramidus fossils, the earliest known biped, have been found dating back 4.5 million years ago. Bipedalism was a major shift in early evolution that many scientist attribute to climate and diet change. It arose around 4.2 3.5 million years ago when hominids began moving away from areas that had dense trees and foliage to savanna areas. Savanna habitats are primarily made up of tall grasses, giving bipeds an advantage; allowing them to have a new elevated eye position and reduced their exposure to solar energy. Not only did it allow hominids to be able to see over the tall ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 36. Essay On What Makes A Video Game Popular What makes a video Game popular? There are several video games on the market today, and while all can be fun in their own right, there are those games that rise above in terms of popularity, or success. While it may be hard to determine all of what makes a game fun to consumers, there are certain qualities of popular games that surface more commonly than others. There are companies that attempt to scientifically determine a game s overall goodness, based on these qualities as well as individual qualities that set it apart from other games. The Elder Scrolls series on the other hand is set within a world of swords, magic, and legends. While both have vastly different stories, both have strong RPG (role playing game) elements, do not allow multiplayer interaction, and have many other distinctive qualities lead them to often be viewed as incredibly similar games. Both series have led to multiple Game of the Year awards on behalf of the studio, and they have been renowned for their extraordinary graphics, gameplay, detailed story, freedom of character. • 37. Analysis Of Pablo Neruda In most cases, texts that are translated lose meaning, as sometimes words from a native language cannot be translated exactly into a desired language, or they lose context. World literature translations also lead to the dangers of a single story where you only get to read one side of the story (the one of the author) without having a perspective of the natives about the story that was written. To understand, how language is used in world literature, and how text translations change our understanding and meaning of the text, we need to be able to understand the culture, have historical understanding of the time the literary work was written, and factors that might affect society in which the author had written. When one wants to study world literature, they need to consider that translations of the text smooths out not only linguistics richness but also the original and political force a work can have in its original context. World literature needs to be studied with close attention to the original language and context, including works that have new meaning and take new dimensions abroad. There is a shift that unfolds on the internal logic of the work itself, but often come as complex dynamic of cultural change and contestation. For a work to be considered a valuable piece in world literature it must be read first as literature, and secondly circulate into a broader world beyond linguistic and cultural point of origins. • 38. Theological Reflection Essay Many weeks have passed since I last wrote about my theological perspective at length. I began the class with lots of questions, and I do not believe I can say for sure that they have been answered, but I can say that I am now at peace with the idea that some of my questions may not be able to be answered in this life. It amazes me that I have been able to grow so much in such a short period of time. The growing pains were great, but the reward was greater. I feel that I am in a much better place in my life now. In the past few months, I have tried to reclaim some of the closeness to God that I feel I have been missing. It has not been easy for me to give up control of my life. I have strong tendencies to be in control of what goes on, so that I have some inclination of how to prepare to react. As a result of learning to let go, I feel much less fearful of the future or my place in it. Not only has this class helped me come to terms with the idea that I should not have total control over my life, but it has also reminded me of things I had forgotten about. It truly left me pleasantly surprised with the content of the class. I cannot lie, much of the curriculum contained information that I already had some knowledge of, but that is only a result of my obsessive research in the pursuit of answers. However, something that I appreciated greatly was the inclusion of the Apocrypha. Further, I appreciated that verses from Apocryphal books were used in the same way that Canonical verses were used. This was one of the biggest problems I had with the way Christianity has always been taught to me. Many exclude the Apocrypha as if it does not even exist, much less as an original piece of the non canonical Bible. This fact, colloquially stated, has always seemed sketchy to me. I was not even aware of its existence until about a year ago. My foundations were shaken a little when I found out. I compare it to finding out about a long held family secret. I could not find anything in what I read of the Apocrypha to be too out there, so I did not understand why it was never mentioned in the first place. It seemed to me that if they were so set on not mentioning it, there could be a whole array of other texts/writings that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
