Personal Swot Analysis Essay
Crafting a Personal SWOT Analysis Essay can be a challenging yet rewarding task, demanding a
deep introspection into one's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The difficulty lies
not only in the analysis itself but also in articulating thoughts coherently.
To begin, conducting an honest self-assessment requires a level of self-awareness that can be
uncomfortable. Acknowledging weaknesses can be a daunting task, and discussing personal
strengths may feel like self-promotion. Striking the right balance between humility and
confidence is a delicate art.
Moreover, identifying opportunities and threats in one's life involves foresight and a keen
understanding of external factors. It requires an ability to foresee challenges and potential
avenues for growth, which may not always be apparent.
Translating these reflections into a well-structured essay adds another layer of complexity. The
essay must flow logically, providing insights that resonate with the reader. Balancing
introspection with objectivity can be tricky, as the analysis should be both authentic and relatable.
In essence, writing a Personal SWOT Analysis Essay demands not just self-reflection but also
the ability to communicate one's thoughts effectively. It requires the writer to navigate the fine
line between humility and confidence, introspection and objectivity. Nevertheless, overcoming
these challenges can lead to a profound understanding of oneself and foster personal growth.
For those finding this task overwhelming, it's worth noting that assistance is available. Various
platforms, such as HelpWriting.net, offer services where similar essays and more can be
ordered, providing support for individuals navigating the intricacies of self-analysis and essay
composition.

Restorative Justice System In North America
Crime and punishment: the ultimate condemnation. The judicial system was
originally created to punish the perpetrators of serious crimes, such as murder, rape
or assault and aid the community and other people involved in their recovery.
Nowadays, the leaders of many countries and the citizens within them seem to have
lost that view. Gone are the days where only the worst of the worst were sentenced
to their life and here are the days where people are lucky to get away from a car
accident without jail time. Statistics have proven that crimerates in Canada, and some
surrounding countries, are going down, but more people are going to jail what for?
Even though North and South America seem to have strayed from the strong values
of the past, some countries like Norway have still got it right. In Norway the focus is
on restorative justice, not on punishmentbecause what good comes out of inflicting
harm? North Americahas easily demonstrated the results of severe punishment in
conflict to the results of Norway s restorative justice program. The North American
justice system is one of the worst in the world. In contrast, the Norwegian justice
system treats their prisoners with respect and provides institutional help, not only
imprisonment, in order to aid in their recovery; therefore, North America should
strive to be more like Norway.
In general, the North American ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Restorative justice focuses on repairing damage caused by crimes rather than solely
punishing the person. Instead of depriving prisoners of things they value, their
freedom is taken away and then they are entered into a rehab program. This
corrective program not only aims to rehabilitate the criminals, whether it is a mental
illness or just a contorted outlook on life, but a restorative justice program also
aspires to repair harm caused by the crime by helping others who were affected by the
Reginald F. Fellowship Analysis
Reginald F. Fellowship has drawn my attention for more than one reason. Of
course my number one interest in the fellowship is the fellowship is for those of a
minority. Secondly this opportunity will help me progress in the field I wish to
work in once I graduate; media production. I m sure this fellowship will give me a
chance to network as well as learn; meeting people who can help strengthen my
weak points whether it is production/work based or a lesson I can carry with me
through life. I am a continued student in life amongst other things with the
Reginald F. Fellowship I ll be able to grow as well as learn; best of both worlds! As I

opportunity to be a part of the first African American billionaire in the 1940 s is
amazing in itself. Similar to Mr. Lewis; I too, have had not such a smooth way of
growing up; not to the extent of segregation but in other ways where some
experiences I ve endured may have turned another child down a dark, hopeless,
unsuccessful path. However I have always chose a brighter path with a million

Anything is possible in life and nothing can ever hold me back from my dreams.
Again, I m forever a student in life I m looking for all the knowledge and experience

Flaw Wang Analysis
In the story, Flaw, Wang delivers a very light hearted text to read. But, in this text
Wang connects a lot of the story together with details of the weather that help us
connect the events. Wang uses the weather to describe how the narrator feels about
the problems, while also displaying the narrators growth throughout the story. For
example, the narrator opens up each problem or event that occurs with the description
of that moments weatherand season. Although the events occur on separate days in
different seasons the problems occur always on a sunny, hot day. It seems like the
hotter the weather is the bigger the problem may be and the more emotional and
grown the narrator will become. Wang starts off the pattern by incorporating in
details of the weather, ...night passed and day broke. In the early morning mist, the
owners of the small grocery stores, still unlike their counterparts in the city,... Show

On this summer day we find out that the dressmaking shop owner stole a hundred
and fifty thousand dollars from clients, workers, and friends, and ran off. Here the
weather is used to describe how he feels. The white hot sunshine is used to portray
the anger and heat he feels for the woman in the following scene when the narrator
finds out the lady stole the money. This goes on with the narrator going off to the
roof where the sky above was a soft quiet blue (27), thinking about the impact the
women created on him, his family, and community. The soft quiet blue here is used
to describe his emotions as his anguish dematerializes and his emotions clear up to
reveal the sorrow he now feels towards the woman. The narrator then uses the mist
and clouds to describe the sadness he displayed that night when he realizes that he
had been deluded, The scene in front of me got misty, and I discovered that my eyes

Disadvantages Of Foreign Parties

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Working Relationships Between Foreign
Parties
Throughout history, foreign parties have collaborated to reach a common goal
however, there can be infinite problems that arise when working with parties of
conflicted interest. There are many advantages and disadvantages to when working
with foreign parties, however, the main three are credentials and experience,
economical growth, the effects of the exploration. Christopher Columbus a famed
sailor and explorer during his time, born in the Republic of Genoa in 1451 or what is
now Italy, accomplished many voyages that promoted his standing as an explorer.
Columbus s Four transatlantic voyages paved the way for the age European
Exploration which occurred in the fifteenth Century. Although Columbus originated
from Italian origins, his voyages were funded by the United Spanish Monarchy. King
Ferdinand of Aragon and Queen Isabella of Castile reigned over the land that would
become Spain. Their union , in 1469, aided the creation of a unified Spain.
Columbus s dedication to his career and knowledge about his goal made him an
appealing candidate for the exploration of what they believed to be the West
Indies.Columbus s strong persistence and knowledge made him well versed in the
art of exploration. Columbus s grand idea would lead him to sail straight across the
transatlantic ocean to the West Indies, however this had yet to be done before. To

The Negative Outcomes of Online Dating Essay
Online Dating is defined as the practice of searching for a romantic or sexual partner
on the internet, typically via a dedicated website (Oxford). In 2012, there were an
estimated 1500 different dating websites in the United States and thousands more
around the world. The most common dating websites are Match.com,
Adultfriendfinder.com, christianmingle.com, Zoosk.com, and eHarmony.com. There
are others depending on the user s interests such as Cams.com is for those who like
to communicate by camera, Gay.com is for those interested in other gay singles,
Blacksingle.com is for those interested in other black singles and
Seniorpeoplemeet.com is for the older person who is looking for that particular other

Nowadays people are meeting the same way but with a twist. More people are
using the internet as a way to put themselves out there to see what they can reel in.
Dating sites are presently one of the most popular ways of meeting singles. There
are many different types of dating sites, choosing the right one just depends on the
person s interest. There are formal dating sites where what the person wants is a
serious relationship, marriage, or just a good time. There are also websites that
tend to be a bit more intimate. These intimate websites are for people looking for
like minded adults with sexy photos, seeking affairs, discrete relationships, shared
sexual fetish and sexual encounters. Usually once the person has found what dating
site they want to use, they person starts off by creating a profile, after that they
design their profile by inputting information about themselves, post pictures,
biography, interests, likes and dislikes, and what type of partner they are seeking.
The users fill out these in depth questionnaires, some ask about 300 questions and
some websites also track what users do online in order to create a more accurate
picture of their preferences. Also some of these dating sites are free and others the
users have to pay. Some might say it makes it simpler or a bit more difficult to find
their partner. These sites use a complex algorithm to help in the performance of
Porgy And Bess Sparknotes
Porgy and Bess is a play written by three Caucasian men. The play was written in
the 1920s 1930s. Around this time racism was strong as ever. White people already
didn t think much of us. It took place in a small town in South Carolina called Catfish
Row. The apartments sat close to a beach. Throughout the play, there was plenty of
ways that portrayed African Americanin a negative way. Porgy and Bess is the
epitome of how Caucasians thought of African Americans and the way we live.
Throughout my paper I m going to express how white people judged African
Americans, Where did Porgy and Bess come from, and The names of the characters
and how degrading the authors are making African Americans out to be. The names
of the characters go a long way. Some of their names have meaning to them, the
meaning of their names are literally the role they play. And the time the play was
written.
Gershwin labeled the play as a folk opera. It was written in the year of 1935 by a
Jewish man. Which makes it interesting to study the kind of impact it had on the
African Americans at that time. Gershwin had the African
Australia s Economic Growth
Economic growth
An increase in the capacity of an economy to produce goods and services, compared
from one period of time to another.
Inflation is a general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money.
The growth of an economy is thought of not only as an increase in productive
capacity but also as an improvement in the quality of life to the people of that
economy.
For comparing one country s economic growth to another, GDP or GNP per capita
should be used as these take into account population differences between countries.
How is it measured?
GDP (Gross domestic product) is the sum of the market values, or prices, of all final
goods and services produced in an economy during a period of time.

Improving Health, Education, And The Environment
The MDGs identify and quantify specific gains that could be made to improve the
lives of the world s poor people. Their aim is to reduce poverty while improving
health, education, and the environment. These goals were endorsed by 189 countries
at the September 2000 UN Millennium General Assembly in New York. They focus
on significant, measurable improvements for the efforts of the World BankGroup,
governments, other international organizations, and other partners in the development
community. The MDGs grew out of the agreements and resolutions that have
resulted from world conferences organized by the UN in the past 10 15 years. Each
goal is to be achieved by 2015, with progress to be measured by comparison with
1990 levels. Although the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But providing assistance isn t limited to providing financial aid. Developing
countries may also benefit if trade barriers are lowered, hence allowing a freer
exchange of goods and services.
Achieving the goals is an enormous challenge. Partnerships between the Bank Group,
the UN Development Group (UNDG), and other organizations, as well as between
donors and developing countries, are the only way to ensure coordinated and
complementary efforts. The UNDG consists of the many UN programs, funds, and
agencies engaged in development assistance and related activities. The Bank Group
participates in the UNDG and supports its framework for greater coherence and
cooperation in UN development operations.
Strategic Framework
The Bank Group s strategic framework concentrates on the twin pillars of:
1.building an appropriate climate for investment, jobs, and sustainable growth so that
economies will grow,
2.Investing in and empowering poor people to participate in development.
In recent years, the executive directors have underscored the continued relevance of
these priorities, have reaffirmed the need for selectivity in the Bank Group s work,
and have called for greater collaboration with development partners. In order focus on
those pillars, the executive directors have standardized the operational policies,
practices and procedures. Furthermore, they have discussed the needs of meeting
requests of low income, heavily indebted and fragile countries. They have also

My three college choices are University of Florida, University of Seattle and Ohio

sure what exactly I want to have a career in. Two of my main choices are
veterinarian or child care. Some of my concerns are the distance, cost of tuition, the
quality of the program, and the recreation at the colleges. University of Florida is my
first choice. The tuition for my enrollment would be $6,270. With this college there
are 16 programs for this university. For each semester you need to have 15 credits.

Some of these are team sports for basketball, football and more. They also have an
amazing band. Ohio State is very close to home. and is in state.
I talked about how I wasn t really sure what I wanted to do as my career. I thought
of either child care or veterinarian. Job requirements for child care are you have to
be able to take act in a emergency situation. You need to be able to connect with
kids and show them you care. This is a very social job too. Working conditions for
this job could be outside, inside, at home, at a day care, or in a school. The job
requirements for a veterinarian is you need the skills. You need to have passion for
animals, you need business skills, and social skills. The working conditions for this
job can be in a clinic and/or outside. This job can be a traveling job, such as farms or
other homes.
The salary for child care can range from $45,000 to 116,000. The salary range for a
veterinarian is from $49,000 to $113,000. These are really good paying jobs that
could really provide enough for me. The benefits for child care are you get to interact
with kids and connect to them on another level. The benefits for veterinarian are
interacting with animals and to help their needs and stay alive.
These are to good supporting jobs. There are more and more clinics for vets and
children. I feel I will probably end up working for someone close and then try to start
my own business in Florida. Both of these

On 14 March 1945, Humberto Delgado, creates Secção de Transportes Aéreos

That same year, TAP Portugal acquires two Dakota DC 3, leftovers from the World
War II. (Coutinho Rocha, 2013) He saw the need of connecting the Portuguese
colonies, Angola, Mozambique to Portugal. In 1946, after acquiring the two aircrafts
TAP Portugal could then launch two routes. The first commercial LisbonMadrid
service began on 19 September 1946, while on 31 December, the Imperial Airline
was launched, flying between Lisbon, Luanda [Angola], and Lourenço Marques
[Mozambique], a return journey of 24,540 kilometers that took a total of 15 days
and included 12 stopovers. (Tap s History, 2016) This was the beginning of TAP
Portugal. Throughout the years, TAP began expanding their routes. In 1950 s, the
jet engine would ultimately revolutionize the airline industry, shrinking air travel
time in half by enabling planes to climb faster and fly higher. (First Jet makes test
flight, 2010) With the innovation of jet engines that meant TAP could now fly
longer routes, and unite farther old colonies to the homeland. That same year [1955]
Admiral Gago Coutinho made a test flight to Rio de Janeiro. (Tap s History, 2016)
However, before jet engines came to TAP, it would suffer some changes. TAP
James A. Keene s History Chapter Summary
James A. Keene has gathered an incredible amount of information on the interesting
beginnings of music education in the United States. This text offers deep insight and
a plethora of information regarding the beginnings of an area of education which has
largely been neglected by scholars. For decades and in current teaching populations,
the historical foundation and insight first developed by musiceducators from the
earliest colonial times through present day has been unknown. From the introduction
of vocal music to the growing interest of orchestral and band music and the a cappella
choir movement, reactions to music remained both positive and negative, leading to
continued advocation for music in the curriculum, arguing that music offered skill
development and appreciation through exposure and practice. This text parallels the
history of educationin the United States as well as music education reform. The
consistent actions of Americans to express themselves as reformers, a trait that
arrived with the Pilgrims and has been perpetuated throughout American history. This
trait was widespread among music educators, leading to changing methods and
philosophies. Portions of Keene s History deal with the various philosophical
tendencies that evolved and were implemented at the rise of the singing and normal
schools and as music fought its way... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keene first offers critical and musical analyses of the various tune books and Psalters
that arrived with the Pilgrims, including performance practices. The focus on the
music and singing practices parallels the musical intentions of the day, to perform the
music, with no emphasis on teaching. Out of the terrible singing came the desire to
teach members of the community how to sing, and so arrived the singing schools
with traveling teachers. Attitudes were just beginning to form regarding public
education for

Due to the quality of its products, Bel has maintained an eminent reputation and its
market shares grew constantly and steadily over the past years through an efficient

Nevertheless, in order for Bel to increase their shareholders worth by creating
exchanges that satisfy the objectives of shareholders, the German market in the EU
would be the right market for growth expansion and would also position the firm to
optimise value creation (Hollensen, 2007). However, the rationale behind this choice
of country is due to the fact that customers in Germany are very careful about
hygiene compared to some of the Asian and African countries that have other
alternatives like water (Euromonitor, 2012).It is also assumed that, like the UK,
many of the products in the disposable paper market are considered to be essential by
German consumers. Also it assumed that the Germans consume 13.7kg of tissue per

Circuit City Business Failure
Circuit City was first established in 1949 under the name of Wards Company in
Richmond, Virginia by Sam Wurtzel. What started out as a little storefront would
later flourish into a national chain of superstores retailing electronics and appliances.
Interesting enough, this retail giant would eventually close its doors and become
known to many as one of American retailings great failures (Romero, 2013, p. 31).
The thought that this small Richmond based retailer would soon become a great
success only to later end up as one of America s great retail failure. Wurtzel was an
entrepreneur from New York. He was on his way to North Carolina on vacation, when
he stopped in Richmond, Virginia to get a haircut. During a conversation between
Wurtzel and the barber, he was told that the first television station had just opened
less than a year ago in Richmond. Wurtzel, being an entrepreneur that he was, saw
this as a great opportunity. During this time, there... Show more content on

Later, Wurtzel decided to expand the business into discount stores (Romero, 2013,

expand its business even further by adding discount stores. But, in 1975, taking on
expansion too quickly almost caused the company to file bankruptcy. To prevent
going bankrupt, the company decided to scale back on the number of unprofitable
outlets by closing or selling them. Then in the late 70 s the business began to make
a comeback. It grew rapidly so much so that the company had fifty three superstore
by 1983 and thirty seven smaller electronic stores (Romero, 2013, p. 32). According
to Hart, Matulich, Rubinsak, Sheffer, Vann, and Vidalon (2012), In 1984, Wards
changed its corporate name to Circuit City Stores, Inc. and became publicly traded on

(A five year horizon is common, but this can vary.) Typically you will use the
WACC as your discount rate. Depending on the circumstances, the estimated cash

b.Estimate the PV of the terminal value. One estimate for the terminal value
involves assuming perpetual cash flows after the initial time horizon, e.g.: i.If the
cash flow after 5 years is expected to grow at a rate g for the foreseeable future:
Terminal Value5 (TV5) = FCF6 /(k g) = FCF5 (1+ g) / (k g)., where k is the
required rate of return. You must discount the TV to time 0, and then add this to
the PV of the FCFs during the projection horizon. ii. If the cash flow at the end of 5
years is not expected to grow, i.e., g=0, then the general formula collapses to the

The United State War On Drugs
The United States government has been wasting millions of dollars each year on a
worthless war that cannot be won. This war is explained in detail by author Art
Caden in their essay Let s Be Blunt about the United State war on drugs. The war
on drugs began in 1971 under the order of President Richard Nixon, and it was one
of the worst decisions he ever made. It has been nothing but a waste of government
funding, time, and manpower that can only be described as a dismal failure and
should be repealed or at the very least medical marijuana should be made legal. The
essay Let s Be Blunt was written to show the flaws and failure of the war on drugs. I
nits intro the essay takes a very pro druglegalization stance Caden states . Early on
the author compares the current drug war to prohibition, the banning of alcohol
decades ago. Caden compares the current drug related crime to the massive amount
of crime that arose during prohibition. He claims that the bans on these substances
are what cause the crime not the drug themselves. By having drugs do illegal it
results in people have to resort to using underground and dangerous methods to obtain
them which they clearly are willing to do. Next an argument is presented against the
way the government goes about fighting this war. Stating that the government focus
its efforts on catching Mr. Big a theoretical mastermind drug dealer responsible for
the vast majority if drug sales. However such a person does not exist. Finally

on the warship H.M.S. Bellipotent, was one day doing his duties on ship when he
was called to the Captain s quarters on being falsely accused of secretly aiding a
French rebellion against the British. He retaliated in anger and struck and killed John
Claggart, the manwho accused him. When the news spread across the ship, there
were many opinions about why he acted so brashly and what should be done to
him. In the end, Billy was hanged at sea even though he was right in his actions, for

within himself which resulted in a Heart, Soul, and Mind of jealously, anger and
rage. For all the times he saw Billy with his good natured attitude Claggart, only
hated him more. Last but not least, Billy was falsely accused of a huge crime. John
was practically asking for Billy to assault him, by accusing him of treachery,
treason and betrayal. Budd never caused trouble with the crew members. He was the
most un likely suspect for such an act. Even Captain Vere was surprised to hear
Claggart speak in such a manner. John was only trying to cause Billy trouble and
annoyance. The handsome sailor had the right to do what he did in that moment and

Nelson Mandela Analysis
The relationship that develops between Nelson Mandela and Francois Pienaar in
the movie Invictus suggests how crucial of a role they play as leaders to the people
of South Africa. Even though, Pienaar is white and Mandela is black, they both
work towards uniting a divided nation despite their differences. Regarding Nelson
Mandela, he uses his voice and presidential power to find a way in which he can
unite the whites and blacks of South Africa. When he discovers that sports,
particularly rugby, can be used as a method to unite the people of South Africa to
cheer for one team despite how divided its people may be, it signifies how
influential and wise of a leader he is to the people of South Africa. This is so
inspiring for me because he found an interest that both the whites and blacks of
South Africa have in common that will help bridge the gap between them despite
their troubled history with each other. Some characteristics of Mandela that indicate
how influential of a leader he became for the people of South Africa is because of
his transparence, empathy, courtesy, and humility. Mandela served as such a vital
figure as a leader in uniting South Africa through his devotion to the rugby team. He
understood how influential this team was to the entire nation, and he made every
effort to establish a close relationship with the team by frequently meeting and
speaking with the players and attending their games. Due to his valiant efforts, he
did everything he could to help inspire the team by investing so much time into
their success as a leader to the point where they felt that they would have failed the
entire nation had they not won the World Cup. Now, this surge of success among
the rugby team was ignited by the captain of the team himself, Francois Pienaar.
Francois Pienaar developed into a very crucial leader for not only the South African
rugby team, but for the people of South Africa. He not only led the rugby team to
success on the field, but due to his close relationship with Mandela he was able to
inspire and motivate his teammates towards winning the World Cup. For Pienaar,
winning the World Cup meant so much more to him than simply having the
opportunity to hold up a trophy, but rather to provoke
Type And Topology Of Lan
Type and topology of LAN
In the early beginnings of a Local Area Network consisted of mainframe computers
and terminals. Now networks consist of front ends which interface with the network,
back ends take care of requests by clients, clients are systems or applications that
request services, Servers manage the network and its resources, routers link the two
or more networks together, and switches allow multiple computers on a network
interface to communicate. These are for small locations like an office building.
A Hybrid topology can incorporate multiple topologies to give it other routes to
travel. They can use a central hub or switch using the unshielded twisted pair Ethernet
cables for the Star topology. They can have a backbone network using the Fiber
Distributed Data Interface or FDDI.
They can also use the Wireless topology using access points as part of the hybrid
topology. This is a great feature for both employees and customers. The range is up
to 100 meters and is fast when needing to access applications. It uses the 2.4 and 5
GHz band. It is also cheap and cost effective.
LAN cabling
The two types that can be use are the twisted pair and fiber optical cabling. There
are two types of twisted pair cables. They are shielded and unshielded Ethernet
cables. They are copper wires being twisted around to protect from emissions and
noise. They are mainly used in an internal network or office because it is cheaper
and easier to install. They use an RJ45 connecter and
The Refinery, The Petroleum Distillation, By Benjamin Jr.
1.1 INTRODUCTION The modern refinery, the petroleum distillation, appeared in
1862 when Benjamin Jr. s research showed that 50% of the new Pennsylvania Rock
Oil can be distillates into first rate burning oil, kerosene and paraffin oil and, and the
other 40% can be used for another purpose, such as lubrication. In the nineteenth
century, the United States and Russia were the countries that produced oil which led
to many developments in oil extraction. In the twentieth century, different regions in
the world started to produce oil productions, such as Indonesia, Mexico and Middle
Eastern countries. Since then, the oil industry has grown by more technological
research and developments in improving their processes and reducing the energy
used (Speight, 2011). The refinery industries shows different terms to describe the
type of oil. The crude can be segregated according to its characteristics, such as
components, gravity and sulfur content. The following are some types of oil used in
industry: Conventional crude is the oil produced form the conventional method, oil
well. Also, its refinery is expected to be normal one, hence, it does not have hard
operation conditions. It consists of a mixture of hydrocarbon compounds: gaseous,
liquid, and solid. Opportunity crude (challenging crude or unconventional crude) is
the same as the conventional crude, but they are very difficult to process due to: high
total acid number, high sulfur content and/or low API gravity. Heavy oil
Analysis Of The Garden Party By Mansfield
The main idea for an interpretation of a deeper meaning of the story, The Garden
Party by Mansfield, is relating life, and death to be held hand in hand. In other
words, one day I can live happy and think I can be eternal but death is always near. I
don t usually like to think about death because it can be something scary and
overwhelming. Although in this story, I can see that Mrs. Sheridan is a woman from
a high class society. A family that is concerned about with what other people think
and the fact of just having a blast every time they are able to. When Mrs. Sheridan
heard about the death of Mr. Scott she felt pity for a moment, but continued her party
arrangements. In contrast, her daughter, Laura, seemed more humane because when
her mother thought about giving the party s leftovers to her neighbors, she felt that it
was rude. Therefore, I can see that she feels empathywith the death of Mr. Scott.
One of the themes that I can constantly see in society is economic division. Those
divisions can sometimes be harmful directly and indirectly to society. People from
high class society tend to segregate those who do not compare to them, but not all
of high class people can act for pettiness. One of the specific characteristics which is
imparted to a character in this story is humility and empathy. I believe that in this
specific story, Laura has changed along the story in the eyes of the reader since at
the beginning, she was in charge of the set up of the Garden Party,

Interpretation of the Plain Language of MCL 559.167 The defendants argued that
MCL 559.167, as amended by 2016 PA 233, repealed and replaced all prior versions
of MCL 559.167 on September 21, 2016. The Court held that defendants argument
failed for several reasons. First, the court held that MCL 559.167, as amended by
2002 PA 283, eliminated any rights to construct units 1 14. The court held that the
time period to construct of withdraw units 1 14 ended no later than October 27,
1999. The court held that even if the ten (10) year period did not begin to run until
2002, when 2002 PA 283 was enacted, it expired no later 2012. Accordingly, the court

The court relied on the plain language of the statute as well as the statute of frauds,
MCL 566.106. Specifically, the court held that the right to construct need not be built
units is eliminated by operation of law and that a property interest created by
operation of law is not subject to the statute of frauds. As such, the court granted
summary disposition in favor of the Cove Creek Condominium Association and held
that the need not be built units ceased to exist and that the defendants could not
withdraw the undeveloped land from the condominium in 2016.
Conclusion
While Cove Creek Condominium Association v Vistal Land Home Development,
L.L.C., et al., Oakland County Circuit Court Case No. 16 155706 CH (Order
Granting Summary Disposition, Dated February 10, 2017) is only a circuit court

developers and title companies should be aware of the following takeaways from the
Cove Creek case:
1.MCL 559.167, as amended by 2002 PA 283, applies to ALL condominiums that
existed at the time the statute was enacted, not just condominiums that were
Happiness In Candide And Zadig Ou La DestinГ©e
Voltaire works Candide and Zadig ou la DestinГ©e discuss the happiness of men
and the philosophy behind being happy. Candide suggests that men should be
continuously striving for a better society where everyone is happy, while Zadig ou la
DestinГ©e argues that a society where all men are happy cannot exist. It appears that
since Voltairewrote these pieces, society has progressed and become a better place
but attaining the ideal of happiness for all men does not seem possible. In Candide,
the main character Candide, is taught to think optimistically about everything he
encounters. So, for the majority of the novel, Candide believes that all bad things in
the world occur for the greater good, since he is already living in the best possible...

At the end of this novel, the main character, Zadig learns that bad things will
always happen, and sometimes they happen to good people. In other words,
somebody could do everything right and they still might have something bad
happen to them. Voltaire argues that this is because there are some things beyond
our control, and while we might not see it, the universe always has a reasons for
its actions. Using this philosophy, it becomes clear that while we should always
strive to make the world a better place, we cannot make it a perfect world where
everyone is happy all the time. For example, society could progress so that no biases
exist at all, everyone has an equal opportunity at achievement despite their race,
gender, or income. Everyone might be happy at least most of the time, but we cannot
stop people from dying, or volcanoes from erupting, There are some things bad things
that despite people s best efforts, humans will not be able to control. Therefore,
humans should continue to strive for a better world but they need to understand that

Bhopal Ethics
The Bhopal gas leak was a terrible tragedy in which thousands of helpless civilians
were killed and hundreds of thousands were injured as they slept. Determining who
was at fault and, consequently, who should compensate the victims and clean up the
site are questions that have plagued the affected parties, my Rotman classmates and
the world at large for over 25 years. The analysis to follow, in attempting to present
the roles and responsibilities of each major player, will demonstrate the incredible
difficulty involved in assigning conclusive responsibility for the tragedy. This will be
followed by my personal reflections on the incident in which I present an additional
culprit to those discussed in class. Union Carbide Corporation (US):... Show more

Secondly, the Government neglected the densely populated shanty town that had
grown up near the plant on land deeded from local officials. Its residents were the
first and main victims of the poisonous gas. Still, many will argue that a cost
benefit analysis made creating jobs and accessible pesticide for a poor and hungry
region the proper priority. While many were ultimately harmed by the leak, how
many more had benefitted from the poverty alleviating jobs and hunger alleviating
crops? Here again we find valid points and counter points, leaving us no closer to
assigning conclusive blame and responsibility for the tragedy. Dow Chemical: While
Dow certainly protected itself in the purchase agreement from a legal standpoint,
there are those that suggest the proper ethical action is for Dow to assume
responsibility for any outstanding clean up and compensation. While this may
innately feel like the right thing to do, the counterpoint that Dow had nothing to do
with the incident and should not be punished after paying fair market value for
Union Carbide is also valid. Personal Reflection: Analyzing the conduct of the major
parties has not produced any conclusive allocation of responsibility. It is clear that
each party deserves significant blame but no party deserves total blame. There is,
however, an overlooked culprit that I believe deserves the bulk of the blame: the
expectations market that has hijacked the decision making of US corporations(1).
Essay on Setting in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
Ken Kesey s One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest is a unique fiction novel about
oppression and rebellion in an American 1950 s Mental Hospital. In this highly
distinctive novel, setting definitely refers to the interior, the interiors of the
Institution. It also refers to the period this novel this was set in, the 50 s, 60 s where
McCarthyism was dominant. Furthermore, it has great symbolic value, representing
issues such as the American struggle of freedom and conformity. This essay shall
discuss the setting amp; its significance towards Ken Kesey s One Flew over the

The interiors are also significant as it is a representation of how society applied their
expectations of each other. Throughout the McCarthy period, there was the great
threat of the Russians, the communists, who could potentially use nuclear technology
to attack America. Also, any person who unpatriotically supported communism was
harshly dealt with. These events were represented in an exact scale model of the
Mental Institution. Anyone who dared to cause an uproar was humiliated in group
therapy sessions, or given Electroshock Therapy, or in extreme cases such as
McMurphy, lobotomy. In the hospital, McMurphy represented the rebel, the opposer
to the Combine (McCarthyism), the one who wanted to break free of society s
conformity.
Setting is also important, as it refers to the period this book was set in, the 1950 s.
Ultimately, it is a reflection of what was happening in American society at the time,
and what American society expected from each other. McCarthyism, as started by
Senator Joseph McCarthy, was the most prevalent movement of the 1950 s, where
there was great momentum for anti communism and the suppression of the Anti
communist party. Freedom of speech was suppressed, just like speech and actions
were inside the hospital. Here, the
Child Workers During The Industrial Revolution
There were child workers part of the Industrial Revolution and there were some kids
that worked in mines, and after this time the Africans became part of the Berlin
Conference. After the Berlin Conference Africa s lad became useless, and the
Africans were left with nothing. During both these time the child workers were more
negatively impacted.
The children started working when they were four or five years old, and they were
working full time jobs. They would wake up at five o clock in the morning to start
walking to work, and they would walk all the way to work and back by themselves.

Birley was interviewed by The Ashton Chronicle on 19th May, 1849. Most
children didn t get to go to school, they didn t even get to learn to read or write at
home. Some women lost the chances of having a child, because of the positions
they sat in all day and most of the night. The women seem to suffer especially from
this work, and are seldom , if ever, as straight as other women. There is a testimony
here, too, to the fact that deformities of the pelvis and consequent difficult, even
fatal, child bearing arise from the work of the women in the mines. As they took the
pain of not being able to have a child of their own, so did the African women and
men, just in a different way. They got their children taken away and some were
killed or raped. They got attacked and everyone was suffaring. They are armed in by
the government and sent into various African villages where they proceed to kill
civilians of target vital infrastructure, and commit wide scale rape. Genocide in
Essay on The Power of the Piano
What can appear to gleam and reflect such beauty and craftsmanship yet can be
handled by a three year old. It s sound so pure by a touch of a finger has been in
existence for well over a hundred years and is the foundation for creating music. It
s black and white keys produce sounds when played correctly that can bring tears to
one s eyes, touch your heart and soul, bring hope, or even joy and laughter to an
event. All of this power... lies in the piano. The piano from its creation to this very
second had transformed the world of music no matter what class, talent, and ability.
To start off, the word piano is derived from the Italian word pianoforte which means,
quiet and loud respectively ( Pianonet.com ). These words relate to how... Show more

Iron frames which were more durable for then the prior wooden frames. The piano
s range of notes and sound quality would continue to increase as time went on. So
how do we differentiate between the different types of pianos? It s not about the
outside but the inside we re always told that counts. The frame more importantly
the strings on a grand piano, are horizontal ( Piano Play It ). The strings on the
inside go away from the keyboard. The other main subcategory for pianos is
Upright pianos. These pianos strings are construed like their name, horizontally
and so is their frame. This arrangement of the strings makes this piano the most
compact of traditional pianos ( Piano Play It ). In addition to your traditional
pianos, as time went on the piano would diversify even more. This paper would be
over twenty pages longs if I broke each one of these down but here are a few. There
is the electric piano, which utilized electromagnetic pickups, and these pickups
sense vibrations and magnify and modify the sound the strings when hit by
pressing any key on the keyboard. You find these pianos still used a couple
hundred years late by many R B and Jazz Artist. The toy piano, which is really a
miniature, sized piano, was invented by a 17 year old in 1872. All of this before
the 20th century when we see the emergence of keyboards... which I will discuss
later ( Piano Play It ). Pianos have transformed music by transforming itself over the

Essay on Willy Russell s Our Day Out
Willy Russell s Our Day Out
Willy Russell has written many plays over the last thirty years, but there is one
feature that is common to all of them: the issue of social and cultural background.
This is the situation of the characters; their surroundings; their class; the society in
which they are brought up, and the culture of that society. It is this that can lead to
the behaviour, feelings, opinions and general outlook of the characters. Russell
explores the effects that society and culture can have on people in all his plays, but
in none is it so poignant as in
Our Day Out , the story of what happens when Mrs Kay takes her
Progress class out of inner city Liverpool on a school trip to Conwy
Castle, Wales.

The children also use slang words. For example, they refer to the Corporation as
The Corpy , bonfire night as bommy night , and cigarettes as ciggies . In any
society, the colloquial dialect is an essential part of the culture, and the use of it in Our
Day Out forcefully conveys to the audience the essence of the background of these
children.
Symbolism plays a significant part in Our Day Out , because it gives
Russell the opportunity to display how the children feel about their hopeless
situations, without having to state it in the text or put it in the dialogue. This is
important because the children don t necessarily know how they feel, or if they do
they can t express it, so to put it in the dialogue would be inconsistent with their
characters. If Russell had put it in the stage directions it would not be experienced to
its full impact when people see the play on television or on the stage. Russell also
probably didn t want to be so explicit; some things, such as the knowledge of the
hopelessness of the children s situations and the destitution they are facing, are more
poignant and affecting when implied through some form of symbolism rather than
directly stated.
The two most obvious symbols in the play are the analogies of the bear in the pit at
the zoo and the goldfish in the bag Carol wins at the fair. In the first case the bear
represents the children, and the pit represents Liverpool. The children are trapped in

Dancing Plague Of 1518 Research Paper
The dancing plague of 1518 was a mysterious event that nobody could explain.
However we have a theory. The dancing plague of 1518 was just a huge lie. They
most likely had some people dancing at certain times to keep up the act. Everyone
in the town either believed it or was in on the lie. Some people may believe that the
dancers were part of some kind of cult, however if that was the case some people
would have stopped dancing. A few people assume that they must have been

dancing there must have been at least one that would have escaped and maybe have
spilled the beans. Seeing as nobody ever said that so happened you can only assume

Although if you were to see so many people having spasms would they all be in the

spasms don t appear to look like dancing and may cause some of the victims to

The reason they would lie is unknown yet the most plausible cause for the mistruth is
simply to toy with citizens, confuse them, possibly distract them from the horrible

States Incarceration is the state in which a person is confined within a prison, this
can be known as imprisonment. Imprisonment within the United States is mostly due

an astounding forty six percent, compared to the second most common causes. These
causes include the illegal handling, and usage of weapons, explosives, and arson;
these Offenses only hold a lightly rounded total of seventeen percent. The list of

The purpose of this investigation is to look at robotic surgeries using the Da Vinci
System and laparoscopic surgeries to see, which one is better for a hospital to
purchase based on cost effectiveness. These two styles of surgery have their own
strengths and weaknesses, and the style that is better will be decided based upon
variables, such as types of surgeries it can be used for, cost, etc. The field of
medicine has advanced significantly in the past two decades. This is because of the
innovation that has taken place with computers, making them smaller and faster.
Computers are now placed in almost all devices to help to make them more stable

Originally there were two robotic systems, one was the Zeus System and the other
was the Da Vinci System. The Da Vinci system quickly overtook the Zeus system,
and the company that developed the Zeus system is now under control Intuitive
Surgical Systems. (Fischer, 2012) The Da Vinci System has advanced since its
birth, and is more prominent today. This robot has gone through many redesigns to
keep up with the changing field of medicine. The Da Vinci robot is able to perform
surgeries with the help of a surgeon guiding the robot. This makes surgery easier,
efficient, and recovery time is decreased. The robot has revolutionized how
surgeries now take place, because they are less intrusive and help patients have a
faster recovery time; however, these robots are very expensive for hospitals and
the cost to have a surgery using one of these robots differs from one hospital to
another. These robots are the future of medicine, and soon the robot will be able to
perform all types of surgeries with the help of a surgeon. Currently the Da Vinci
System can be used to perform a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, prostatectomy,
colectomy, hernia repair, pulmonary lobectomy, cardiac surgeries, gastric bypass, and
hysterectomy. These are a significantly greater amount of procedures that can be
performed, in comparison to laparoscopy. The Da Vinci system was an idea that was
first developed by the Stanford Research Institute in 1980. After that almost 19 years
were spent developing

Case Study of Toshiba Accounting Scandal
Facts
Toshiba s history dates back to 1875 in Japan. For the fiscal year ending March 31,
2015,
Toshiba s net worldwide sales were greater than $63 billion and employed more
than 200,000 people worldwide (Carpenter, 2015). In April of 2015, the company
came forth and made an announcement that it was having accounting problems.
However, the severity of the scandal became known early in September 2015
(Addady, 2015). The shares took a dive after the April announcement. In July 2015,
CEO Hisao Tanaka resigned after facing this accounting scandal and was a direct
link to $1.2 billion in overstated profits (Carpenter, 2015). Toshiba s first remedy
was a management change. The company overstated its earnings close to $2 billion
over the past seven years (Addady, 2015).
The investigation panel report revealed that the external auditors failed to discover
the inappropriate accounting issues, the involvement of two former CEOs, Atsutoshi
Nishida (2005
2009) and Norio Sasaki

John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums
John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums shows the true feelings of the main
character, Elisa Allen, through the use of setting and her interactions with other
characters in the story. By way of vivid descriptions, Elisa s feelings of
dissatisfaction over the lack of excitement in her life are portrayed. Her role as a
mere housewife and then the subsequent change to feelings of a self assured woman
are clearly seen. These inner feelings are most apparent with the portrayal of Elisa
working in the garden with the chrysanthemums, the conversation she has with the

difficulties in gaining more retail locations, maintaining sufficient inventory level,
and, the most important, improper positioning of its product, which impeded the
MCB to reach its potential customers.

Move towards the mainstream beer drinkers
According to the case, the beer market was dominated by four largest brewing
companies: Anheuser Busch, Miller Brewing, Adolph Coors, and Stroh. These
four companies collectively . ..commanded 89.8% of the market share. (Madcap
21) The best selling brands they produced like . ..Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller
Lite, and Coors were generally priced between $4 5 per six pack (Madcap 22) and,
based on this fact, belonged to premium priced beers. Therefore, for the MCB to
move towards the mainstream drinkers, it has to reduce prices, which will cause
several negative outcomes.
Pricing in a range of $5 6 per six pack indicates that Zebra is a higher quality beer
and, since the demand on the beer market is
Summary Of Just Walk On By Brent Staples
Brent Staples memoir Just Walk on By is a short powerful story of what his daily
life is like as a black man in America. Staples works for the New York Times as an
editorial writer and also an author. He has written two books, the first a memoir
named Parallel Time: Growing up In Black and White and second called An
American Love Story (wikipedia.org). He is a well educated man who not only
received his BA in behavioral science but also continued his education as far as
receiving his Ph.D. in psychology (thehistorymakers. org). Due to his successes, it
makes his memoir more shocking to see that despite his life accomplishments, he
still struggles in a world that has racial stigmas. Brent Staples is a great example of
how to write a memoir due to his organization of the text, literary devices, and his
use of rhetorical appeals. In the following essay, these rhetorical strategies Staples
uses will be broken down further to show why his essay is a strong mentor text. The
first way Staples accomplishes his well written memoir is that he knows how to
appealto his audiencewith the way he constructs his text. It is highly likely that this
essay appeals to multiple groups of people, but the most obvious would be the
appeal to other black male individuals that can relate to him and the struggles he
faced. He also mentions at the beginning of his memoir about his first victim, and
this could be another audience he is appealing to the white female. One way he
appeals to his
Huck Finn And Jim Relationship
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of Twain s greatest works that
symbolically represents freedom meaning family and friendship in the eyes of Huck
Finn and his former slave friend, Jim. Both Jim and Huck are comparable in their
search for freedom. Jim is seeking to be free from slavery, while Huck Finn is
seeking for freedom from the mistreatment of his drunken father and from the touchy,
domineering authority of Widow Douglas and Miss Watson that once watched over
him. However, although the story specifically indicates freedom and the meaning of
true friendship, author Jane Smiley perceives the subject differently. It is clear that
Twain wants to direct his reader s mind towards the true meaning of friendship, but

Jim s original plan was to escape slavery to be with his wife and kids, while Huck
explores the land to escape his abusive father and the rules of Widow Douglas and
Miss Watson. Before either of them got to endure their dreams, they had to learn that
they must depend on each other. In disagreement with Jane Smiley, Huck was not
blinded by racism, but was perceptive of the true colors of friendship. Mark Twain s
ambition in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was to encourage the reader s to
value the true meaning of friendship in every
Oxfords Dictionary Defines Lobbing As “A Group Of
People
Oxfords Dictionary defines lobbing as a group of people seeking to influence
legislators on a particular issue. (needs in text citations)The term lobbing has been
around our politics since the creation of the nation. The right to petition the
government is based off of the first amendment, in which the people have a right to
peaceably assemble and petition the government for grievances. (does this need a
citation? Its paraphrase)Labor is the backbone of America. Labor unions were
created in the 18th century to support the fair treatment and appropriate wages for
employees. Labor unions remain heavily in today s society and have a bigger

One of the reasons for nurse burnout is inadequate staffing. Inadequate nurse staffing
effects many individuals. Most importantly, patients, nurses as well as hospital
administrators. According to Department of Professional Employee [DPE], (2016),
staffing issues affect nurses as it leads to nurse burnouts and affects nurse s health,
increasing their risks for hypertension, cardiovascular disease and depression.
Understaffing also leads to expensive human resources problems that can affect
hospital administrator s budgets. The harsh demands of nursing are forcing nurses
to consider alternative careers. Studies have shown the overall turnover cost per
registered nurse is $65,000 (DPE, 2016). One solution proposed by NYSNA is the
Safe Staffing for Quality Care Act, it proposes to require acute care facilities and
nursing homes to implement certain direct care nurse to patient ratios in all nursing
units; sets minimum staffing requirements; requires every such facility to submit a
documented staffing plan to the department on an annual basis and upon application
for an operating certificate; authorizes nurses to refuse work assignments if the
assignment exceeds the nurses abilities or if the minimum staffing is not present.
(bill A6571) This bill was passed by the New York State Assembly on June 14, 2016,
the assembly of NY is in support of safe
The Fifth And Final Leadership Challenge
Leadership Challenge Five
Summary
The fifth and final leadership challenge is an inspirational message to readers who
learn how to Encourage the Heart of their followers. Kouzes Posner (2012) explain
that, to further develop a highly effective team, leaders must recognize contributions
by showing appreciation for individual excellence, and celebrate the values and
victories by creating a spirit of community (p. 272). The importance of a highly
motivated team who feels appreciated should not be understated, and is an integral
aspect of organizational leadership. Kouzes Posner explain that to keep hope and
determination alive, leaders recognize contributions that individuals make. In every
winning team, the members need to share in the rewards of their efforts, so leaders
celebrate accomplishments. They make people feel like heroes (Kouzes Posner,
2016, about sec).
Recognizing the contributions of others requires leaders to expect the best from their
team. When leaders set the tone of high expectations the organization takes on an
efficacious culture where excellence is the established norm. A self fulfilling
prophecy of high expectations envelopes the group as a whole. Kouzes Posner write
that Exemplary Leaders elicit high performance because they strongly believe in the
abilities of their constituents to achieve even the most challenging goals (p. 276).
Belief in the efficacy of others as a stand alone attribute is only a half measure.

SHOULD MALE PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES BE PAID MORE THAT FEMALE
ATHLETES?
Toady sports is viewed by fans all around the world rather it being basketball,
football, or baseball. Sports has become more of a gender controversial topic than
simply enjoying the excitement of the players doing what they love to do so well.
Women athletes are generally under paid compared to the men s salaries in
various sports do to the lack of viewers. Women sports doesn t generate enough
revenue, so the leagues can t afford to pay the women as much as the men in their
contracts. Women sports are important to the world and the fans and supporters
that watch and cheer alongside the players. However due to the lack of viewers,
women sports are not generating enough money to allow bigger contracts for
women athletes. Women sports are loved by its fans and supporters; however, most
sports fans consider women sports to be step down from the excitement of watching
the men engage in the game that they are playing. For instance take the US Women
s Soccer team, compared to the men s world cup the women tournament only
generated 15 million dollars for the entire series. On the other side, the US Men s
Soccer team World Cup generated a whopping 576 million dollars. The fans that
follow sports doesn t think negative about women sports they just
Mending Wall Vs. Tear Down This Wall
Introduction Good fences make good neighbors VS. Tear down this Wall. In both
text one wants the wall torn down, and they tear it down. While in the other text one
wants it down but is too scared to tear it down. Both text they deal with a wall
separating then from something. Such as in Mending wall, the wallis separating him
and his neighbor; in Tear down this Wall, the wall is separating east side and west
side. Is separation a good thing?
body 1 Both Mending Wall and Tear Down This Wall deal with theme of
separation. In Mending Wall, the wall physically separated two neighbors. Every
winter the wall is torn down by nature, yet come spring time the wall is to be built
back up. The two neighbors come together every year and wear their fingers rough.
While in Tear Down This Wall the Berlin Wall symbolizes separation of East and
West. They both have to deal with separation
body 2 Both text impact physical and emotionally to people, countries, and
civilizations. In Robert Frost text, Mending Wall, there is a physical challenge to
build it back. He judges his neighbor as a savage. In Ronald Reagan s text, Tear
Down This Wall, the two governments cause an emotional conflict for the narrator.

He has many sayings that have double meanings. During the text the narrator talks
to himself as he tells the poem, showing internal conflicts. His tone opposes the
wall, but doesn t open up and tell his feelings. Such as, how he doesn t want the
wall up but he comes and repairs it every year. The same thing is happening in
Ronald Reagan s text, but he does something about it. He goes and demands for the
wall to be torn down, he convinces people to tear it down. While Robert Frost
makes readers infer, Ronald Reagan makes it easier for the readers to understand
how he feels and that he doesn t want to wall there. The struggle in both text is theme

Tough Questions
First, I noticed a Tough Question on page 104. Archie said (to Leo), Whose
affection do you value more hers or the others? This is a Tough Question because
Leo was having a hard time with affection with Star Girl and the other MAHS
students, since the time he was shunned. He also later talked to Star Girl about this
for some more help, and to see what she thinks about it. This question makes me
wonder about why does Leo care about the other s attention, when Star Girl already
makes him happy? Secondly, I noticed an Aha Moment in chapter 22. This is when
Leo is told that in Star Girl s happy wagon and he realizes that Star Girl has been
affected by the bad things that has happened to her. He realized that because Star Girl
mentioned that
Love The One You Re Near
Technology has allowed many actions that needed face to face interaction to be done
with an app on a smartphone. These actions consist of buying things, talking to
people, finding a date, and much more. The essay Love the One You re Near focuses
on how technology has made dating into a sort of game. Datingapps such as Tinder,
Grindr, and Blender use proximity technology to allow their users to meet people of
similar interests in areas around them. This may help the common introvert or shy
person to find a date or someone to talk to, however the technology is being used in
a completely different way. Since the user is technically meeting a person in a vast
and dehumanizing virtual marketplace , the person of interest is then looked upon...

I agree with the author s point that that the usage of dating apps in moderation may
upgrade the dating experience for the user. The author, Jennifer Bleyer, states that
these apps may help make online dating more spontaneous and fun, but they may
also reinforce the downsides of this vast and dehumanizing virtual marketplace and
that reasoning is well based. My friends have used Tinder, and based on their
experiences, they have found that Tinder is really just a hookup app rather than a
dating app. My friends just meet up with whoever they think is attractive and just
have a fling for a day or two. Rarely is there a meeting which leads to a long term
relationship. There is also a different experience that can be found through me. I
use Facebook, and even though it isn t a dating app, I still meet people through my
mutual friends. This is actually how I met my current girlfriend. When I moved to
Milpitas, not many people knew me, but they knew about me. She heard of me,
found me on Facebook, added me, and then started a conversation. The next day we
met in person and somehow it all worked out. Yes, Facebook was not mentioned as a
dating app, and yes it is not a dating app, however my experience matched the
explanation of the author in this essay. Technology can help or hurt the building of
relationships of

Personal Swot Analysis Essay

  • 1. Personal Swot Analysis Essay Crafting a Personal SWOT Analysis Essay can be a challenging yet rewarding task, demanding a deep introspection into one's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The difficulty lies not only in the analysis itself but also in articulating thoughts coherently. To begin, conducting an honest self-assessment requires a level of self-awareness that can be uncomfortable. Acknowledging weaknesses can be a daunting task, and discussing personal strengths may feel like self-promotion. Striking the right balance between humility and confidence is a delicate art. Moreover, identifying opportunities and threats in one's life involves foresight and a keen understanding of external factors. It requires an ability to foresee challenges and potential avenues for growth, which may not always be apparent. Translating these reflections into a well-structured essay adds another layer of complexity. The essay must flow logically, providing insights that resonate with the reader. Balancing introspection with objectivity can be tricky, as the analysis should be both authentic and relatable. In essence, writing a Personal SWOT Analysis Essay demands not just self-reflection but also the ability to communicate one's thoughts effectively. It requires the writer to navigate the fine line between humility and confidence, introspection and objectivity. Nevertheless, overcoming these challenges can lead to a profound understanding of oneself and foster personal growth. For those finding this task overwhelming, it's worth noting that assistance is available. Various platforms, such as HelpWriting.net, offer services where similar essays and more can be ordered, providing support for individuals navigating the intricacies of self-analysis and essay composition. • 2. Restorative Justice System In North America Crime and punishment: the ultimate condemnation. The judicial system was originally created to punish the perpetrators of serious crimes, such as murder, rape or assault and aid the community and other people involved in their recovery. Nowadays, the leaders of many countries and the citizens within them seem to have lost that view. Gone are the days where only the worst of the worst were sentenced to their life and here are the days where people are lucky to get away from a car accident without jail time. Statistics have proven that crimerates in Canada, and some surrounding countries, are going down, but more people are going to jail what for? Even though North and South America seem to have strayed from the strong values of the past, some countries like Norway have still got it right. In Norway the focus is on restorative justice, not on punishmentbecause what good comes out of inflicting harm? North Americahas easily demonstrated the results of severe punishment in conflict to the results of Norway s restorative justice program. The North American justice system is one of the worst in the world. In contrast, the Norwegian justice system treats their prisoners with respect and provides institutional help, not only imprisonment, in order to aid in their recovery; therefore, North America should strive to be more like Norway. This text offers deep insight and a plethora of information regarding the beginnings of an area of education which has largely been neglected by scholars. From the introduction of vocal music to the growing interest of orchestral and band music and the a cappella choir movement, reactions to music remained both positive and negative, leading to continued advocation for music in the curriculum, arguing that music offered skill development and appreciation through exposure and practice. The war on drugs began in 1971 under the order of President Richard Nixon, and it was one of the worst decisions he ever made. It has been nothing but a waste of government funding, time, and manpower that can only be described as a dismal failure and should be repealed or at the very least medical marijuana should be made legal. Caden compares the current drug related crime to the massive amount of crime that arose during prohibition. He claims that the bans on these substances are what cause the crime not the drug themselves. By having drugs do illegal it results in people have to resort to using underground and dangerous methods to obtain them which they clearly are willing to do. Next an argument is presented against the way the government goes about fighting this war. Stating that the government focus its efforts on catching Mr. Big a theoretical mastermind drug dealer responsible for the vast majority if drug sales. However such a person does not exist. Finally

Even though, Pienaar is white and Mandela is black, they both work towards uniting a divided nation despite their differences. Regarding Nelson Mandela, he uses his voice and presidential power to find a way in which he can unite the whites and blacks of South Africa. When he discovers that sports, particularly rugby, can be used as a method to unite the people of South Africa to cheer for one team despite how divided its people may be, it signifies how influential and wise of a leader he is to the people of South Africa. This is so inspiring for me because he found an interest that both the whites and blacks of South Africa have in common that will help bridge the gap between them despite their troubled history with each other. Some characteristics of Mandela that indicate how influential of a leader he became for the people of South Africa is because of his transparence, empathy, courtesy, and humility. Mandela served as such a vital figure as a leader in uniting South Africa through his devotion to the rugby team. He understood how influential this team was to the entire nation, and he made every effort to establish a close relationship with the team by frequently meeting and speaking with the players and attending their games. Due to his valiant efforts, he did everything he could to help inspire the team by investing so much time into their success as a leader to the point where they felt that they would have failed the entire nation had they not won the World Cup. Now, this surge of success among the rugby team was ignited by the captain of the team himself, Francois Pienaar. Francois Pienaar developed into a very crucial leader for not only the South African rugby team, but for the people of South Africa. He not only led the rugby team to success on the field, but due to his close relationship with Mandela he was able to inspire and motivate his teammates towards winning the World Cup. For Pienaar, winning the World Cup meant so much more to him than simply having the opportunity to hold up a trophy, but rather to provoke

Now networks consist of front ends which interface with the network, back ends take care of requests by clients, clients are systems or applications that request services, Servers manage the network and its resources, routers link the two or more networks together, and switches allow multiple computers on a network interface to communicate. These are for small locations like an office building. A Hybrid topology can incorporate multiple topologies to give it other routes to travel. They can use a central hub or switch using the unshielded twisted pair Ethernet cables for the Star topology. They can have a backbone network using the Fiber Distributed Data Interface or FDDI. They can also use the Wireless topology using access points as part of the hybrid topology. This is a great feature for both employees and customers. The range is up to 100 meters and is fast when needing to access applications. It uses the 2.4 and 5 GHz band. It is also cheap and cost effective. LAN cabling The two types that can be use are the twisted pair and fiber optical cabling. There are two types of twisted pair cables. They are shielded and unshielded Ethernet cables. They are copper wires being twisted around to protect from emissions and noise. They are mainly used in an internal network or office because it is cheaper and easier to install. The Refinery, The Petroleum Distillation, By Benjamin Jr. 1.1 INTRODUCTION The modern refinery, the petroleum distillation, appeared in 1862 when Benjamin Jr. s research showed that 50% of the new Pennsylvania Rock Oil can be distillates into first rate burning oil, kerosene and paraffin oil and, and the other 40% can be used for another purpose, such as lubrication. In the nineteenth century, the United States and Russia were the countries that produced oil which led to many developments in oil extraction. In the twentieth century, different regions in the world started to produce oil productions, such as Indonesia, Mexico and Middle Eastern countries. Since then, the oil industry has grown by more technological research and developments in improving their processes and reducing the energy used (Speight, 2011). The refinery industries shows different terms to describe the type of oil. The crude can be segregated according to its characteristics, such as components, gravity and sulfur content. The following are some types of oil used in industry: Conventional crude is the oil produced form the conventional method, oil well. Also, its refinery is expected to be normal one, hence, it does not have hard operation conditions. It consists of a mixture of hydrocarbon compounds: gaseous, liquid, and solid. Opportunity crude (challenging crude or unconventional crude) is the same as the conventional crude, but they are very difficult to process due to: high total acid number, high sulfur content and/or low API gravity. • 23. Analysis Of The Garden Party By Mansfield The main idea for an interpretation of a deeper meaning of the story, The Garden Party by Mansfield, is relating life, and death to be held hand in hand. In other words, one day I can live happy and think I can be eternal but death is always near. I don t usually like to think about death because it can be something scary and overwhelming. Although in this story, I can see that Mrs. Sheridan is a woman from a high class society. A family that is concerned about with what other people think and the fact of just having a blast every time they are able to. When Mrs. Sheridan heard about the death of Mr. Scott she felt pity for a moment, but continued her party arrangements. In contrast, her daughter, Laura, seemed more humane because when her mother thought about giving the party s leftovers to her neighbors, she felt that it was rude. Therefore, I can see that she feels empathywith the death of Mr. Scott. One of the themes that I can constantly see in society is economic division. Those divisions can sometimes be harmful directly and indirectly to society. People from high class society tend to segregate those who do not compare to them, but not all of high class people can act for pettiness. One of the specific characteristics which is imparted to a character in this story is humility and empathy. I believe that in this specific story, Laura has changed along the story in the eyes of the reader since at the beginning, she was in charge of the set up of the Garden Party,

As such, the court granted summary disposition in favor of the Cove Creek Condominium Association and held that the need not be built units ceased to exist and that the defendants could not withdraw the undeveloped land from the condominium in 2016. Using this philosophy, it becomes clear that while we should always strive to make the world a better place, we cannot make it a perfect world where everyone is happy all the time. The analysis to follow, in attempting to present the roles and responsibilities of each major player, will demonstrate the incredible difficulty involved in assigning conclusive responsibility for the tragedy. Its residents were the first and main victims of the poisonous gas. While many were ultimately harmed by the leak, how many more had benefitted from the poverty alleviating jobs and hunger alleviating crops? Here again we find valid points and counter points, leaving us no closer to assigning conclusive blame and responsibility for the tragedy. Dow Chemical: While Dow certainly protected itself in the purchase agreement from a legal standpoint, there are those that suggest the proper ethical action is for Dow to assume responsibility for any outstanding clean up and compensation. While this may innately feel like the right thing to do, the counterpoint that Dow had nothing to do with the incident and should not be punished after paying fair market value for Union Carbide is also valid. Personal Reflection: Analyzing the conduct of the major parties has not produced any conclusive allocation of responsibility. It is clear that each party deserves significant blame but no party deserves total blame. There is, however, an overlooked culprit that I believe deserves the bulk of the blame: the expectations market that has hijacked the decision making of US corporations(1).

Essay on Willy Russell s Our Day Out Willy Russell s Our Day Out Willy Russell has written many plays over the last thirty years, but there is one feature that is common to all of them: the issue of social and cultural background. This is the situation of the characters; their surroundings; their class; the society in which they are brought up, and the culture of that society. It is this that can lead to the behaviour, feelings, opinions and general outlook of the characters. Russell explores the effects that society and culture can have on people in all his plays, but in none is it so poignant as in Our Day Out , the story of what happens when Mrs Kay takes her Progress class out of inner city Liverpool on a school trip to Conwy Castle, Wales. For example, they refer to the Corporation as The Corpy , bonfire night as bommy night , and cigarettes as ciggies . In any society, the colloquial dialect is an essential part of the culture, and the use of it in Our Day Out forcefully conveys to the audience the essence of the background of these children. Symbolism plays a significant part in Our Day Out , because it gives Russell the opportunity to display how the children feel about their hopeless situations, without having to state it in the text or put it in the dialogue. This is important because the children don t necessarily know how they feel, or if they do they can t express it, so to put it in the dialogue would be inconsistent with their characters. If Russell had put it in the stage directions it would not be experienced to its full impact when people see the play on television or on the stage. Russell also probably didn t want to be so explicit; some things, such as the knowledge of the hopelessness of the children s situations and the destitution they are facing, are more poignant and affecting when implied through some form of symbolism rather than directly stated. The two most obvious symbols in the play are the analogies of the bear in the pit at the zoo and the goldfish in the bag Carol wins at the fair. In the first case the bear represents the children, and the pit represents Liverpool. The children are trapped in

Due to his successes, it makes his memoir more shocking to see that despite his life accomplishments, he still struggles in a world that has racial stigmas. Brent Staples is a great example of how to write a memoir due to his organization of the text, literary devices, and his use of rhetorical appeals. In the following essay, these rhetorical strategies Staples uses will be broken down further to show why his essay is a strong mentor text. The first way Staples accomplishes his well written memoir is that he knows how to appealto his audiencewith the way he constructs his text. It is highly likely that this essay appeals to multiple groups of people, but the most obvious would be the appeal to other black male individuals that can relate to him and the struggles he faced. He also mentions at the beginning of his memoir about his first victim, and this could be another audience he is appealing to the white female. One way he appeals to his
  • 41. Huck Finn And Jim Relationship The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of Twain s greatest works that symbolically represents freedom meaning family and friendship in the eyes of Huck Finn and his former slave friend, Jim. Both Jim and Huck are comparable in their search for freedom. Jim is seeking to be free from slavery, while Huck Finn is seeking for freedom from the mistreatment of his drunken father and from the touchy, domineering authority of Widow Douglas and Miss Watson that once watched over him. However, although the story specifically indicates freedom and the meaning of true friendship, author Jane Smiley perceives the subject differently. Most importantly, patients, nurses as well as hospital administrators. According to Department of Professional Employee [DPE], (2016), staffing issues affect nurses as it leads to nurse burnouts and affects nurse s health, increasing their risks for hypertension, cardiovascular disease and depression. Understaffing also leads to expensive human resources problems that can affect hospital administrator s budgets. The harsh demands of nursing are forcing nurses to consider alternative careers. Studies have shown the overall turnover cost per registered nurse is $65,000 (DPE, 2016). One solution proposed by NYSNA is the Safe Staffing for Quality Care Act, it proposes to require acute care facilities and nursing homes to implement certain direct care nurse to patient ratios in all nursing units; sets minimum staffing requirements; requires every such facility to submit a documented staffing plan to the department on an annual basis and upon application for an operating certificate; authorizes nurses to refuse work assignments if the assignment exceeds the nurses abilities or if the minimum staffing is not present. This is a Tough Question because Leo was having a hard time with affection with Star Girl and the other MAHS students, since the time he was shunned. He also later talked to Star Girl about this for some more help, and to see what she thinks about it. These actions consist of buying things, talking to people, finding a date, and much more. The essay Love the One You re Near focuses on how technology has made dating into a sort of game. Datingapps such as Tinder, Grindr, and Blender use proximity technology to allow their users to meet people of similar interests in areas around them. This may help the common introvert or shy person to find a date or someone to talk to, however the technology is being used in a completely different way. I agree with the author s point that that the usage of dating apps in moderation may upgrade the dating experience for the user. The author, Jennifer Bleyer, states that these apps may help make online dating more spontaneous and fun, but they may also reinforce the downsides of this vast and dehumanizing virtual marketplace and that reasoning is well based. My friends have used Tinder, and based on their experiences, they have found that Tinder is really just a hookup app rather than a dating app. My friends just meet up with whoever they think is attractive and just have a fling for a day or two. Rarely is there a meeting which leads to a long term relationship. There is also a different experience that can be found through me. I use Facebook, and even though it isn t a dating app, I still meet people through my mutual friends. This is actually how I met my current girlfriend. When I moved to Milpitas, not many people knew me, but they knew about me. She heard of me, found me on Facebook, added me, and then started a conversation. The next day we met in person and somehow it all worked out. Yes, Facebook was not mentioned as a dating app, and yes it is not a dating app, however my experience matched the explanation of the author in this essay. Technology can help or hurt the building of relationships of
