Essay Military Women Should NOT Be Allowed in Combat...
There are growing feelings in the United States that, as women are having more rights given to them
that were previously restricted, women should be given everything that is offered to men. This is
becoming very true in the military, where much sentiment is that women should be given the
opportunity to serve in combat arms positions. Women are currently allowed to serve in combat
support positions, such as military intelligence and air support positions, but they are not allowed to
serve in positions such as infantry, armor, or field artillery. Many believe that it is time to open these
positions to women soldiers and allow them to serve in the front lines of combat. Although women are
currently allowed to serve in combat support ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some counterparts also point out that many men may also be emotionally unstable in the rigors of
warfare, so keeping women out of combat positions for this reason is discriminating against women.
Overall, many feel that it is crippling to the idea of equality to not allow women to serve in any
position that they chose to in the military, and that women should be given the opportunity to prove
themselves able to do the job. Women should not be allowed to serve in combat arms positions
because many of them are not physically able to perform well in this capacity. It is a known fact that,
as a group, men are stronger than women. One of the primary reasons that women are barred from
combat arms positions is because their physical strength is inferior to that of men and rightfully so.
Combat arms positions requires great physical strength and endurance to perform a multitude of
physical tasks, including marching while carrying weapons and heavy gear, hours of physical training,
and lifting dead comrades during training exercises. Of course a combat arms soldier s duties are
endless, and most of them require much strength and endurance. According to the February 1999
edition of Reader s Digest, a US Navy study revealed that women possess half of the lifting power of
men. This report also says that women scoring in the top seven percent torso strength among women
scored in the bottom seven percent when compared to men (142). The torso is where most men in

Why I Want To Study Chemical Engineering
Society needs engineers that can and will change the world. I want to study Chemical Engineering
because of its increasingly significant role in our society, particularly across a variety of industries
from petrochemicals to environmental technology. Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering
that applies physical sciences (physics and chemistry), life sciences (microbiology and biochemistry),
together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use
chemicals, materials and energy. It is about making processes and facilities function more efficiently.
In the first paragraph I will be talking about the founder of Chemical Engineering and how it started.
In the second paragraph I will be talking about how to be a chemical engineer. In the third paragraph I
will be talking about the history of chemical engineering and I will finish everything off in the last
paragraph.
The founding father of chemical engineering is George E. Davis. He was born in July 27, 1850 in
Eton, United Kingdom and died in 1960 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He was the oldest son in
his family. Davis studied at the Slough Mechanics Institute while working at the local gas works, and
then spent a year studying at the Royal School of Mines in London before leaving to work in the
chemical industry around Manchester, which at the time was the main centre of the chemical industry
in the UK. He worked as a chemist and an inspector for three years. He married

Juror Eight In Twelve Angry Men By Reginald Rose
Picture a room with a large table in the center. There is a door, but it is locked. Filling up all the twelve
seats around the table, there are twelve men: jurors debating the murder of a man living near the el
tracks. The man s son is his alleged killer, but one juror is not convinced. This image is from Twelve
Angry Men, a play written by Reginald Rose. The Eighth Juror is being fair to the child, explaining
how there are many what if s in the situation. Juror Eight brings up many different pieces of evidence
and logic to try to understand both sides of the case. He also wants the other jurors to see each side
because he wants a fair trial. So, Juror Eight plays a very important part in this play. Juror Eight began
the story by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Instead of getting angry at the Sixth Juror immediately and saying hurtful things back, he continued
with his argument politely. In summary, Juror Eight reveals many traits and characteristics of himself
and these characteristics and his actions impact the story greatly. When the Eighth Juror tried to open
the discussion and give the boy a fair trial, he created the whole story. The entire play would not have
even occurred if not for the Eighth Juror. At the start, all of the jurors wanted to go home. Several even
talk about how they want to get this over with (Rose 7). So, all jurors were willing to vote as quickly
as possible even if it meant that the defendant may not get the fairest hearing. But, the eighth was not
willing to allow this because he wanted a fair trial. So, without the Eighth Juror, would there even be a
story to tell? Most would think not. Juror Eight says many things that make the rest of the jury think a
lot about. For instance, he states, It s not easy to identify a voice (Rose 32). By bringing up this valid
reasoning, he added to the story and gave the boy a fair chance by questioning whether the story of
everybody involved in the case is definitely true. Furthermore, if the Eighth Juror had not promoted
the discussion of this boy s case, everyone would have voted guilty beyond reasonable doubt. But,
there was reasonable doubt from Juror Eight, as

Catherine In Wuthering Heights
The subjugation of Antoinette is somewhat troublesome. Her fury nature cannot be submitted to
Victorian civility so easily. As we know the panoptic nature of social power makes it inevitable for
woman to submit herself to it. Womanhood is synonymous with a kind of childlike dependence on the
nearest man. Indeed, it is this dependence that precipitates the demise Antoinette. She marries white
Englishman in the hope of social acceptability and stability, but the man betray and abandon her. The
hesitation of Antoinette to marry Rochester is the evidence that how tormented she is feeling while
leaving her true nature at the behest of the social power. She is aware of the consequences of her
decision. Therefore, she inform Rochester about her apprehensions of being afraid of what may
happen (Rhys ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Contrary to Wuthering Heights and its inhabitant, Thrushcross Grange and the Linton family represent
culture, refinement, convention, and cultivation of the Victorian Ideals. Catherine attraction toward
Thrushcoss Grange signifies her subjugation toward the Victorian civility under its panoptic nature.
Catherine has changed a lot during her stay at Thrushcross Grange. No longer the tomboyish wild
child, she is composed and groomed, looking quite the little lady the very epitome of Victorian
ladyship. She returns to Wuthering Heights a true prima donna. This is the dream of Catherine: a
privileged lady of the house. Analyzing the character of Catherine, Engel Heardt, author of the raging
hormones suggests that Catherine betrayed herself, her own nature and integrity by separating from
Heathcliff and forgoing androgyny a free space outside gender ideology to become feminine
(Engelheardt, 137). Catherine s speech to Nelly about her acceptance of Edgar s proposal, in Chapter
IX, shows how inevitable it is for a women to escape the social norms. She

Analysis Of The Movie The Wolf Of Wall Street
Ethics and Wall Street The Movie that I choose to analyze was the movie The Wolf of Wall Street this
movie is about a guy who is starting off his career wanting to earn money fast so he goes to Wall
Street and works as a broker for a small firm, where he ends up picking up bad advice along with
some bad habits that get him rich fast, but not in a very ethical way. Some of the main characters that I
will be talking about in this essay are Jordan Belfort also referred to as Jordy, he is played by
Leonardo DiCaprio, Donnie Azoff Played by Jonah Hill. There are many other characters in this
movie, but these are the main characters that are faced with difficult dilemmas. A lot of the choices
that are made in this movie are Unethical. Even though it seems that he does everything for greed you
end up understanding the reasons he did those things, but even though they are done for the right
reasons does not mean it is right. The Character that faced with the most dilemmas is Jordan Belfort.
One of the Dilemmas that he is faced with in this movie is when the stock market crashes on the day
that he received his broker license. He loses his Job and has to be a difficult decision between getting a
temporary job in retail or work for a small investment firm with little to no regulations selling penny
stocks. Because of the fact that he is good at selling stocks he ends up working for the small
investment firm. Here he is faced with many difficult decisions and one of these is to sell

Prohibition Pros And Cons
Prohibition Convinced that alcohol was the source of almost all crimes, Congress started what was
known across the nation as The Noble Experiment in 1919. To begin this experiment , Congress
ratified the 18th Amendment. This Amendment became known as, just simply, Prohibition. Prohibition
was a ban the government put on the production, transportation, and sale of any form of an alcoholic
beverage from 1920 to 1933. The goal of the government was to get rid of many of the problems that
came with alcohol such as crime, drunk driving, and other negative effects of alcohol. The government
believed that by banning the production and transportation of alcohol, they could curb and tame the
drinking habits of the nation. Although the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although, the alcohol consumption rates dropped during the first year by 30%, it rose 63%. In 1921
alcohol consumption fell from 0.8 gallons per capita, to just over 0.2 gallons per capita. By 1929 it
had risen up to 1.3 gallons per capita. Before prohibition, men stopped by bars to get a quick beer after
work. But when alcohol was illegal it was too much of a hassle to find a speakeasy, give a password
for entrance, and pay for an expensive beer. To avoid all of this trouble, people would drink an excess
amount of alcohol. Hard liquor became more common because it was more concentrated and cheaper
to smuggle. More concentrated liquor was also more effective. So, when people went to speakeasies,
they went to get drunk. Cigarette consumption also increased during Prohibition. Although the 18th
Amendment did not ban cigarettes, many states did. This ban seemed to make them even more
desirable. In 1930, cigarettes finally became legal everywhere and consumption almost

Pros And Cons Of Biomass
What is Biomass ? Biomass is the use of organic matter to make electricity. Organic matter such as
trees and plants are burned and heat water to create steam. The steam created from boiling water is
used to turn turbines to create electricity. Biomass can also be used to create Methane which is used to
create even more electricity. What are pros and cons of Biomass? The pros of using Biomass in the
world is that there is a abundant source of organic matter on Earth and the organic matter can be used
for more than just burning to create steam. Organic matter can also be used to create Methane.
Another pro of using Biomass energy is that almost everywhere in the world can use it. There are trees

Medieval Castles Research Paper
Imagine you are a European residing in England in the year 1066. You are terrified of the Norman
invasion and are concerned of how to protect yourself. The idea of castles came after the Battle of
Hastings, when the Norman French army began conquest in England. Medieval castles were built to
protect those who lived in or near them, from attackers and invaders. These castles lasted up until
about the 1560 s. Medieval castles originated from about the 1100 s and began being built rapidly
across Europe. The idea of castles came when after the Norman conquest or Battle of Hastings in
1066. Upon conquering Europe, the Normans needed to establish their rule, and they did this by
building a network of castles. At first, the Normans built wooden castles,

example, the grocery selection of Target is little different from Walmart. Target uses distribution

Target uses four facilities located near ports at Rialto, California; Savannah, Georgia; Lacey,

What Is The Malfunction Essay
Thursday the 31st of August, I, Heather Scott had the pleasure and privilege to do an external clinical
rotation at the army base Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. During orientation, we were flattered to be
told that by doing so we are providing a service for our country.
I saw four soldiers as my patients. The dentist would do a brief external and internal exam, palpating
lymph nodes and checking pocket depths. I hand scaled and used the cavitron when working with all
my patients. I polished, flossed and applied a melon flavored varnish sealant. I disliked that the polish
was not fine grit, and would have to research and provide such evidence if I were to ever to be
responsible myself for the best care of patients. Somewhere along my ... Show more content on

My patient and I discussed ways to manage flossing with a lingual retainer as my patient stated he
dislikes flossing. He seemed very receptive to the idea of a water flosser. Another patient was very
interested that he could prevent decay from progressing into a cavity that would require a filling, if he
were to follow my instructions in how not to just stick the floss straight in between the teeth. I showed
him how the floss can hug the tooth and glide into the gums and not hurt.
This opportunity, having been given leeway to just do, allowed me to realize that I would be able to
appreciate the use of my loupes. All other times, when smothered in my personal protective
equipment, I could never imagine adding one more ounce of equipment to my person and the
inevitability of its malfunction. My loupes and their usage have always been seen only as another
hindrance in situations where I am already uncomfortable and unsure. Due to the light calculus levels
seen in the patents I was given to work with, I see the need for best conditions, such as light and
malfunction. I am eager to go back, bring and use my loupes, and wipe them down with Sani Cloths. I
see how quickly I could work with no fear of is this right? Given my own slack to just my job, I could
easily get through a patient s cleaning within an hour. I liked how I was just able to grab whatever
instrument I had and find a way to make it work. I enjoyed using

Technology For Perceiving The Environment, Understanding...
Sensors Overview:
They are the key technology for perceiving the environment, Understanding the physical principle
enables appropriate use
Global Positioning System (GPS) Sensors:
GPS sensors are receivers with antennas that use a satellite based navigation system with a network of
24 satellites in orbit around the earth to provide position, speed , and time information.
The GPS was originally developed for use by the United States army, but in the 1980s, the United
States government allowed the system to be used for civilian people. Though the GPS satellite data is
free and works anywhere in the world.
By using the GPS sensor, you can get current information from the GPS receiver, such as (x) and (y)
coordinates, and velocity.
LIDAR SENSOR
Lidar (also called LIDAR, LiDAR, and LADAR) is a surveying method that measures distance to a
target by illuminating that target with a laser light. The name lidar, sometimes considered an acronym
of Light Detection And Ranging,(sometimes Light Imaging, Detection, And Ranging), was originally
a portmanteau of light and radar . Lidar is popularly used to make high resolution maps, with
applications in geodesy geomatics , archaeology geography, geology, geomorphology, seismology
,forestry atmospheric physics, laser guidance, airborne laser swath mapping (ALSM), and laser
altimetry. Lidar sometimes is called laser scanning and 3D scanning, with terrestrial, and cellphones
applications.

Ilya Kaminsky s We Lived Happily During The War
I think it s fair to say that a majority of people in the United States get up every morning with only
miniscule problems to worry about. We are not affected by a crashing economy. We don t have mass
numbers of people starving to the point where they are skin and bone. We don t deal with people
trying to kill us for having different religious views as them. We don t have a multitude of corrupt
groups fighting for power over our nation. We don t wake up surrounded by damages of the atrocities
caused by extremist s bombs. Other countries, however, are not this fortunate, and Ilya Kaminsky s
poem, We Lived Happily During the War does an excellent job of pointing this out.
It s clear when reading this poem, the main theme of it is that there are people in this world who are
not nearly as fortunate as us. We feel bad for them and make a big deal out of how horrible their
situation is. Yet, we don t actually go out and do anything worthwhile about it for fear of losing our
own comforting bubble of safety.
The idea of us feeling bad for those in direr situations and crying for something to be done appears
right at the beginning of the poem when it says, And when they bombed other people s houses, we
protested, (Ilya Kaminsky, 1 and 2). This quote is very apparently true to us. The news, for several
years now, has been full of protests saying that we need to offer help to people in war stricken and
terrorist filled countries. This quote could also point out or stand for more

Athenian Democracy Dbq Essay
During the Golden Age in Greece, many things changed. Things that changed were the diversity of
political views and the social doings of the Athenians and the organization of the Athenians economy.
With the Golden Age, many groups worked together that wouldn t normally interact. The biggest
example of that is the relationship between Athenians and their democracy.
The first example of the relationship between the Athenians and their democracy during the golden
age was the diversity of political views that the Athenians followed. Too start in document 3 written
by Isocrates an Athenian political statesman, orator, and writer and made in the year 346 BCE and the
point they are trying to get across is that back then they did not have a political system/government
which in turn made the people do whatever they wanted which was bad. Then in document 4 written
by Aeschines an Athenian political statesmen, orator, and writer, and made in the year 330 BCE. The
author s point of view from this document is that how the three forms of government, autocracy,
oligarchy, and democracy work and the principles of them are. Also in document 5 written by
Thucydides an Athenian warrior, statesmen, and historian wrote in the year 410 BCE, what the author
is trying to say it all the reason why democracies are good and the outcomes of it. Finally, in document
9 written by Aristotle in Aristotle s Politics published in the year 326 BCE this document is about the
author s hatred towards tyranny.

Ursula Le Guin s Nine Lives as a Feminist Statement
In the beginning of the 20th century, feminists movements started to arise, with the conviction of
vindicate women in the social arrengement of that time, in order to get the same opportunities as men.
Literature could not escape from this reality; as a result, women began to write about their situation.
Ursula Le Guin´s Nine Lives , published in the 1960´s, was one of the first attempts in science fiction
literature to adress the condition of women in the social arrengement. Nine Lives is set in Libra, a
rocky planet which is far away from Earth,in the outer space, and in a distant future. Owen Pough and

Chinese Tigers Research Paper
Tiger Farming
You see the problem with nowadays is not the financial issues of countries, or poverty, nor crime, and
neither any political issues. It is the extinction of species, there are so many species that go extinct that
you probably do not know about. One such species is the Chinese tiger. These tigers have a sad story
due to their extinction. I believe that the Chinese tigers should be saved from mongrels who would use
their lives for personal gain, or even for any reason. I also hope that you share the same viewpoint as
me, but I will leave that decision to you after you read through my article.
First let us begin with why the Chinese Tiger is so special. The Chinese tiger is considered the Stem
Tiger , this means that all of the other tigers were originated from this species of tiger. So the well
renown Bengal and Siberian tigers are subspecies from the Chinese tiger. That makes these tigers a
treasured species to science. It also means that this species is irreplaceable. Sadly, this species bones

The supplies that they can create is by no means an equal trade out for the extinction of the entire
species. Just look at the albino rhino, there is only one male left in the entire world, it can no longer

Chinese tiger to become like the albino rhino. I believe that these tigers should be put in captivity for
the time being until their numbers reach about 150, then we should release a little at a time back into
to the wild to get the ecosystem back to the way it was without endangering yet another species. So I
ask you to help, with something, anything. Call up an organization, raise funds near you, something,
just do something to save this species. I hope that the facts and statistics that you have read will make
you passionate enough to

The Role Of Clans In Somalia
While it is obvious that Somalia has a plethora of problems that it needs to solve before it can repair
the damage it has sustained, one problem in particular is the most prohibitive to a developed Somalia.
The strangle hold on society that clans have achieved prevents any form of national identity building
or institution solidification. With citizens more enticed by being a member of a clan than being a
citizen of Somalia, any institutions created will be seen as just another way to enrich their clans. It is
imperative that clans either be eliminated completely, or integrated into government in such a way that
they sustain said government. Somalia will not be able to function as a successful state until the
problem of clans has been addressed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Family As A Family
What is family? Businessman and former Ford president, Lee Iacocca once said, The only rock I know
that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family. If you stripped away all the glitz
and glamour of your life, what would be left? There is only one answer for me, family. Whenever life
s most challenging moments arise and you are brought to your knees, your family will be the rock on
which you can stand. Family is everything to me and I would not be the man that I am today without
the love and support that my family has unconditionally given to me. I was born on April 24, 1997 in

public deserves to know the negative part of the product also. For example Gatorade, a hydration
drinks which is meant for activities and sports. But declared by science, any hydration drinks are not
meant to be taken alone, should be taken with water mainly. Why isn t the public notified about this
information? It s only because Corporations want investment. They are all looking for profits no
matter what the advertisement says. Stated by Naomi Klein in her No Logo, ...with the Kraft purchase,
a huge dollar value had been assigned to something that had previously been abstract and
unquantifiable a brand name. This was spectacular news for the ad world, which was now able to
make the claim that advertising spending was more than just a sales strategy: it was an investment in
cold hard equity. The more you spend, the more your company is worth . (8) And this idea has grown
so much during our generation that we don t stop and think how much it really is taking over our lives.
In the commercial, Peyton Manning Gatorade Commercial the enterprise of Gatorade relates the drink
to the NFL. The advertisement relates to every athlete and every sport but specially the NFL. Peyton
Manning, who is a quarterback and is one of the greatest in the

Atheism Argument
Theism is the belief of the existence of god as the creator of the world. Atheism, on the flip side,
disagree with the argument of believing in a god as in their view there aren t enough evidence that
God actually exist. While scientists disagree with the existence of God, however, they have not been
able to disproved that god does not exist. In a sense, it s worth pointing out that both argument
somehow aiming in the direction of strictly scientific view of the world. The reason for my logic is
that theism utilized faith to explain everything around them which in their view are more than enough
indication in explaining the existence of god. While this logic may be insufficient from atheism point
of view; however, it is worth noting that the

My Heart Is Beating So Fast
Dahlia My heart is beating so fast. I look around at both of their terrified faces. We are going to die.
All of us are going to die; we are going to die. I haven t even lived yet. Life has barely begun, and it
was going to end. They both turn to me and look for an answer, but I don t have one. Never have I
liked not knowing the answers, but this time I really don t know. I don t know how to react or even
what to think. All that sits in my mind is that we are going to die. Then it hits me. El, give me two
bobby pins, I say desperately as my hands hold out shakily waiting for the pins. She looks at me in
confusion, but she eventually hands them over. I walk over to the door by the middle school. I get onto
my knees and start to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then I hear it. You all keep going, I am going to check out over here, yells out a very masculine voice.
Footsteps disappear, but I can hear the mans deep breaths. The door opens from our left, and my body
freezes. Myles and El freeze as well. Steps are getting closer to were we are. I start to cry out of fear.
Tears softly stream down my face as I try my best to ignore them and stay silent. Suddenly El jumps
out. Shit shit shit..... she is going to die. My body is shaking as my girlfriend is about to die. Hey
pretty thing, says the man. Why don t you come with me, I promise I won t hurt you as long as you
give me what I want. No, her voice sounds out softly. What did you say? I said no. Aww... well to bad,
I liked you a lot. He aims the gun up towards her. Then I see Myles grab a water bottle from next to
him and throw it. The man gasps in surprise from something being thrown at him. Next thing I know,
Myles runs up, grabs a weight and hit them man. As soon at the weight makes contact with the man, a
gunshot sounds. The man falls and so does Myles. I panic I get up and run over to them. El runs over
to Myles, and I start to, but I see the man reach for the gun which fell out of his hands. I decide to grab
a different weight and hit the man again, but I don t stop. I bring it down it on him over and over; the
sounds of bones breaking slips past my mind as all I can think is that he killed Myles and he was

Environmental Sustainability Of The Airport
3. Mitigating environmental dis benefits of the plan for sustainability
The identified dis benefits of the plan in section 2 are not always eliminated but can be reduced to the
acceptable level standardised by regulating bodies such as International Civil Aviation Organisation
(ICAO). Every stakeholders of the airport must consider sustainability of the environment while
planning for future because a careless actions at the present may have huge negative impact on the
social, environmental and economic aspect in the future.
3.1 Mitigations of noise pollution
Noise pollution cannot be fully eliminated but as stated before, it can be reduced to an acceptable
level. Effects of noise varies greatly depending on the types of source, location of the recipient and the
time of production. Hence, the noise produced by the aviation industry and its related operations are
mitigated by different techniques and methods, which are as follows.
Design changes: Reduction of noise at the source such as exhausts from aircrafts and ground vehicles,
airframe noise and power plants via noise reduction technologies. Especially regarding aircrafts, they
have become quitter over the years as the technological advancement in propulsion system of the
aircraft has allowed the manufacturers to build less noisy aircrafts compared to its predecessors [9]. A
possible future solution for the noise pollution relating to combustion aircrafts could be electric
aircrafts. It would be an ideal solution for the

Outsider Outsiders
I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for
freedom in the history of our nation (Martin Luther King). GETTYSBURG ADDRESS (19
NOVEMBER 1863) [1] Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a
new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal (
Abraham Lincoln). We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims around the
world tension rooted in historical forces that go beyond any current policy debate (Barack Obama).
All of these are the starting point of great changes. These famous historical figures are considered
Outsiders The Term Outsider Literally means One who does not belong to a particular group.
Perception is the main key in deciding if someone belongs when they are an outsider. If you look at it
from one group they don t belong and from another they do. One of the most famous outsiders in
history is Martin Luther King. He was considered this because he decided to take a stance against
what s normal and average. He wanted to have equal rights for both African Americans and
Caucasians. By doing this he was considered an outsider by all people. They either stood with him or
against him during his outside revolution. Although he did not like to be considered an outsider as
shown by this quote Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. Anyone who lives in the US can
never be considered an outsider anywhere in the country He was an outsider by trying to make no one
feel like an outsider themselves. So throughput this he didn t belong to the groups trying not to allow
equal rights. But to the people, he stood up with he was a leader and belonged to their group, therefore
even if you don t feel like you belong with the group you re in, you have a network. The next outsider
is Our famous 16th president Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was considered the rail splitting candidates
throughout his campaign and presidency. He was born and raised from working class roots. This set
him apart from his opposing candidate William H. Seward (who was the former governor of New
York and a sitting Senator. Seward came from a high class family, born and

Music Streaming Services Case Study
The Competing Music Streaming Services: SoundCloud and Spotify
Humans experience a feel good sensation when listening to enjoyable songs, such as their personal
favorites. What causes these feel good feelings? Leading brain specialists today have determined the
cause to be the release of the neurotransmitter dopamine (Zatorre). Because of recent advancements in
the music industry, people are able to listen to any they would like, anytimeessentially acquiring

Many famous music artists of today have SoundCloud to thank, like the recent prominent rapper
Willie Maxwell II, known professionally as Fetty Wap. It was April of 2014 when Maxwell II
uploaded the track Trap Queen, which quickly became the anthem of the summer (John). By the end
of summer, Trap Queen had reached eleven million plays on SoundCloud, which led to a record deal
with 300 Entertainment
(Gruger). In addition to Maxwell II, SoundCloud also helped music artists like electronic dance
musician Skrillex, hip hop rapper Post Malone, and house musician Kygo.
In contrast, Spotify s direction is to provide its listeners with songs for everyone of life s moment.
Spotify accomplishes this goal by creating playlists for specific genres and moods. For example, such
playlists include Country, R amp;B, Rock, Holidays, Good
Vibes, Mood Booster, Romance, Workout, and Focus. In addition, Spotify s goal is also to allow its
users to access Spotify from anywhere through the use of mediums like
Davidson 2 computers, smart phones, tablets, home entertainment systems, cars, gaming consoles, and
such.
Being strikingly different from SoundCloud, the music selection of Spotify is of the already famous
musicians of the industry. Therefore, Spotify helps broadcast and promote the already well known
music artists.
Secondly, SoundCloud s musical focus is the original genuine songs of the up and

It Happened One Night
After watching the film, It Happened One Night directed by Capra in 1934, it is a classic Hollywood
narrative that is classic romance story, but I did notice that it did not followed the motion picture
production code for particular scenes in the film, which I think helped create suspicion and action
during the story. Additionally, the film It Happened One Night was different from the other films we
watched in class.
Throughout the film, Ellie meets a reporter named Peter, along her adventure to see her husband the
two fall in love, but do not realize it until very end. For example, Ellie was married, but starting to
have feelings for Peter, which the production code says needs carefully handling. In addition, the
scene where the two need

This study will provide additional evidence based research to validate the usefulness of this tool in
practice. The NHS incident rates (NICE, 2003) of pressure ulcers in the UK is a concern and this
systematic review is an accepted, research approach in its own right and using descriptive statistical
data measures the outcome of results more precisely (Gerrish, 2006). The measurable variables
identified were positive predictive values (PPV), comorbidities, mobility and usefulness of the
Waterlow tool in clinical practice.
Background
The researchers show the significant clinical problems of morbidity and mortality as a worthy
argument for this study. Cost and financial burdens to the healthcare system are mentioned, prevalence
of pressure ulcers at 12.7% necessitate the need for improvements in critical care settings. This study
measures the effectiveness of the tool by using specific and sensitive PPV NPV (negative predictive
Vales) to define the myriad of variables. These variables and predictive outcomes and are an integral
part of the validity and reliability of the studies outcome. (Sacket et al, 2000).
Aim
The aim of this article was to assess the validity of the Waterlow Scale instrument using a longitudinal
cohort of internal medical patients. To identify risk factors contributing to the injury of pressure ulcers
(information outlined in the abstract overview of the study) (BJN, 2010).

The Three Strikes Laws For Repeat Criminal Offenders
On an everyday basis, how is the three strikes law affecting people in New Mexico? The three strikes
law is one of the most modernized laws in the criminal justice system of the United States, where it
has been created in the efforts to reduce and prevent crimes in the states especially for required
sentencing laws for repeat criminal offenders. In 2003, more than half of the United States had
adopted the three strikes law; in addition, the law is raised when criminals have committed their third
felonies. Therefore, these laws execute a harsher penalty of a minimum of 25 years of a life sentence
for criminals who have committed a crime for the third time even though their crimes that are not evil.
There were many arguments raised when many of the criminals were sent to prison for 25 years for a
very small crime such as petty theft. Many of the people in the United States argued that a 25 year
prison is very similar to the punishment for committing murder. In 2013, according to The Washington
Times Newspaper by associated press, Santa Fe, N.M. (AP) house majority leader Nate Gentry argues
that New Mexico is the second most dangerous state in the nation as far as violent crime goes (press).
This is the result based on the 24/7 Wall Street data; therefore, Gentry also said that it is one of the
most dangerous place to be a child because many children are getting affected by the crimes they are
seeing from their perspective. For the last few years, three strikes law has

Descriptive Essay Fastball
It was the bottom of the 7th and the count was 3 2. I stood impatiently at the plate with the bases
loaded. As I was glaring at the pitcher, he hurled his 85 mph fastball on the outer half of the plate. The
thundering sound of the bat making contact with the ball made everyone in the park stop to see where
the ball was going. As it flew into right center field, the right outfielder lunged towards the ball. As I
dropped the bat hurriedly and ran toward second base, I continuously stared at the ball as the right
fielder smashed into the fence with the ball in his glove. Immediately, I saw the other team throw their
hands up in celebration as the right fielder made the catch to win the game, making us lose a grueling
game. Growing up surrounded

Explain The Sequence And Rate Of Each Aspect Of...
Unit 1.
Assessment Criteria 1.1.1.
Explain the sequence and rate of each aspect of development from birth 19 years.
At birth a baby relies on sight and touch for their intellectual development, they have limited
language, and all information is processed visually, as a baby grows they develop intellectually by
participating in imaginative play ie a box becomes a car or train or plane. They will also imitate and
explore new behaviours and forms of play, their confidence will grow as they near the age of 3 years
old, but will still seek reassurance from their parents and carers.
Between the ages of 3 and 7 years old a child will still be processing information visually, along side
this their language skills and thought process will develop, which will have a huge effect on how they
think and interact with others.
As a child progress towards the age of 12 years old they will become less egocentric, and more
understanding of others feelings, thoughts, opinions, and beliefs, specific individual interests will also
develop at this time.
During the teenage years they will become responsible for their own thoughts, words and actions. A
capacity for higher order reasoning will develop, and individual personalities will appear and form.
They will be able to combine and classify items in a more sophisticated manner, and begin to consider
their futures. Support, guidance and help, on moral, ethical, social, economic and cultural issues, at
these stages of development, can have a huge

  • 2. Essay Military Women Should NOT Be Allowed in Combat... There are growing feelings in the United States that, as women are having more rights given to them that were previously restricted, women should be given everything that is offered to men. This is becoming very true in the military, where much sentiment is that women should be given the opportunity to serve in combat arms positions. Women are currently allowed to serve in combat support positions, such as military intelligence and air support positions, but they are not allowed to serve in positions such as infantry, armor, or field artillery. Many believe that it is time to open these positions to women soldiers and allow them to serve in the front lines of combat. Although women are currently allowed to serve in combat support ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some counterparts also point out that many men may also be emotionally unstable in the rigors of warfare, so keeping women out of combat positions for this reason is discriminating against women. Overall, many feel that it is crippling to the idea of equality to not allow women to serve in any position that they chose to in the military, and that women should be given the opportunity to prove themselves able to do the job. Women should not be allowed to serve in combat arms positions because many of them are not physically able to perform well in this capacity. It is a known fact that, as a group, men are stronger than women. One of the primary reasons that women are barred from combat arms positions is because their physical strength is inferior to that of men and rightfully so. Combat arms positions requires great physical strength and endurance to perform a multitude of physical tasks, including marching while carrying weapons and heavy gear, hours of physical training, and lifting dead comrades during training exercises. Of course a combat arms soldier s duties are endless, and most of them require much strength and endurance. According to the February 1999 edition of Reader s Digest, a US Navy study revealed that women possess half of the lifting power of men. This report also says that women scoring in the top seven percent torso strength among women scored in the bottom seven percent when compared to men (142). The torso is where most men in ... • 3. Why I Want To Study Chemical Engineering Society needs engineers that can and will change the world. I want to study Chemical Engineering because of its increasingly significant role in our society, particularly across a variety of industries from petrochemicals to environmental technology. Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies physical sciences (physics and chemistry), life sciences (microbiology and biochemistry), together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use chemicals, materials and energy. It is about making processes and facilities function more efficiently. In the first paragraph I will be talking about the founder of Chemical Engineering and how it started. In the second paragraph I will be talking about how to be a chemical engineer. In the third paragraph I will be talking about the history of chemical engineering and I will finish everything off in the last paragraph. The founding father of chemical engineering is George E. Davis. He was born in July 27, 1850 in Eton, United Kingdom and died in 1960 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He was the oldest son in his family. Davis studied at the Slough Mechanics Institute while working at the local gas works, and then spent a year studying at the Royal School of Mines in London before leaving to work in the chemical industry around Manchester, which at the time was the main centre of the chemical industry in the UK. He worked as a chemist and an inspector for three years. He married ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Juror Eight In Twelve Angry Men By Reginald Rose Picture a room with a large table in the center. There is a door, but it is locked. Filling up all the twelve seats around the table, there are twelve men: jurors debating the murder of a man living near the el tracks. The man s son is his alleged killer, but one juror is not convinced. This image is from Twelve Angry Men, a play written by Reginald Rose. The Eighth Juror is being fair to the child, explaining how there are many what if s in the situation. Juror Eight brings up many different pieces of evidence and logic to try to understand both sides of the case. He also wants the other jurors to see each side because he wants a fair trial. So, Juror Eight plays a very important part in this play. Juror Eight began the story by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead of getting angry at the Sixth Juror immediately and saying hurtful things back, he continued with his argument politely. In summary, Juror Eight reveals many traits and characteristics of himself and these characteristics and his actions impact the story greatly. When the Eighth Juror tried to open the discussion and give the boy a fair trial, he created the whole story. The entire play would not have even occurred if not for the Eighth Juror. At the start, all of the jurors wanted to go home. Several even talk about how they want to get this over with (Rose 7). So, all jurors were willing to vote as quickly as possible even if it meant that the defendant may not get the fairest hearing. But, the eighth was not willing to allow this because he wanted a fair trial. So, without the Eighth Juror, would there even be a story to tell? Most would think not. Juror Eight says many things that make the rest of the jury think a lot about. For instance, he states, It s not easy to identify a voice (Rose 32). By bringing up this valid reasoning, he added to the story and gave the boy a fair chance by questioning whether the story of everybody involved in the case is definitely true. Furthermore, if the Eighth Juror had not promoted the discussion of this boy s case, everyone would have voted guilty beyond reasonable doubt. But, there was reasonable doubt from Juror Eight, as ... • 5. Catherine In Wuthering Heights The subjugation of Antoinette is somewhat troublesome. Her fury nature cannot be submitted to Victorian civility so easily. As we know the panoptic nature of social power makes it inevitable for woman to submit herself to it. Womanhood is synonymous with a kind of childlike dependence on the nearest man. Indeed, it is this dependence that precipitates the demise Antoinette. She marries white Englishman in the hope of social acceptability and stability, but the man betray and abandon her. The hesitation of Antoinette to marry Rochester is the evidence that how tormented she is feeling while leaving her true nature at the behest of the social power. She is aware of the consequences of her decision. Therefore, she inform Rochester about her apprehensions of being afraid of what may happen (Rhys ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Contrary to Wuthering Heights and its inhabitant, Thrushcross Grange and the Linton family represent culture, refinement, convention, and cultivation of the Victorian Ideals. Catherine attraction toward Thrushcoss Grange signifies her subjugation toward the Victorian civility under its panoptic nature. Catherine has changed a lot during her stay at Thrushcross Grange. No longer the tomboyish wild child, she is composed and groomed, looking quite the little lady the very epitome of Victorian ladyship. She returns to Wuthering Heights a true prima donna. This is the dream of Catherine: a privileged lady of the house. Analyzing the character of Catherine, Engel Heardt, author of the raging hormones suggests that Catherine betrayed herself, her own nature and integrity by separating from Heathcliff and forgoing androgyny a free space outside gender ideology to become feminine (Engelheardt, 137). • 6. Analysis Of The Movie The Wolf Of Wall Street Ethics and Wall Street The Movie that I choose to analyze was the movie The Wolf of Wall Street this movie is about a guy who is starting off his career wanting to earn money fast so he goes to Wall Street and works as a broker for a small firm, where he ends up picking up bad advice along with some bad habits that get him rich fast, but not in a very ethical way. Some of the main characters that I will be talking about in this essay are Jordan Belfort also referred to as Jordy, he is played by Leonardo DiCaprio, Donnie Azoff Played by Jonah Hill. There are many other characters in this movie, but these are the main characters that are faced with difficult dilemmas. A lot of the choices that are made in this movie are Unethical. Even though it seems that he does everything for greed you end up understanding the reasons he did those things, but even though they are done for the right reasons does not mean it is right. The Character that faced with the most dilemmas is Jordan Belfort. One of the Dilemmas that he is faced with in this movie is when the stock market crashes on the day that he received his broker license. He loses his Job and has to be a difficult decision between getting a temporary job in retail or work for a small investment firm with little to no regulations selling penny stocks. Because of the fact that he is good at selling stocks he ends up working for the small investment firm. Here he is faced with many difficult decisions and one of these is to sell ... • 7. Prohibition Pros And Cons Prohibition Convinced that alcohol was the source of almost all crimes, Congress started what was known across the nation as The Noble Experiment in 1919. To begin this experiment , Congress ratified the 18th Amendment. This Amendment became known as, just simply, Prohibition. Prohibition was a ban the government put on the production, transportation, and sale of any form of an alcoholic beverage from 1920 to 1933. The goal of the government was to get rid of many of the problems that came with alcohol such as crime, drunk driving, and other negative effects of alcohol. The government believed that by banning the production and transportation of alcohol, they could curb and tame the drinking habits of the nation. Although the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although, the alcohol consumption rates dropped during the first year by 30%, it rose 63%. In 1921 alcohol consumption fell from 0.8 gallons per capita, to just over 0.2 gallons per capita. By 1929 it had risen up to 1.3 gallons per capita. Before prohibition, men stopped by bars to get a quick beer after work. But when alcohol was illegal it was too much of a hassle to find a speakeasy, give a password for entrance, and pay for an expensive beer. To avoid all of this trouble, people would drink an excess amount of alcohol. Hard liquor became more common because it was more concentrated and cheaper to smuggle. More concentrated liquor was also more effective. So, when people went to speakeasies, they went to get drunk. Cigarette consumption also increased during Prohibition. Although the 18th Amendment did not ban cigarettes, many states did. This ban seemed to make them even more desirable. In 1930, cigarettes finally became legal everywhere and consumption almost ... During orientation, we were flattered to be told that by doing so we are providing a service for our country. I saw four soldiers as my patients. The dentist would do a brief external and internal exam, palpating lymph nodes and checking pocket depths. I hand scaled and used the cavitron when working with all my patients. I polished, flossed and applied a melon flavored varnish sealant. I disliked that the polish was not fine grit, and would have to research and provide such evidence if I were to ever to be responsible myself for the best care of patients. Somewhere along my ... He seemed very receptive to the idea of a water flosser. I showed him how the floss can hug the tooth and glide into the gums and not hurt. This opportunity, having been given leeway to just do, allowed me to realize that I would be able to appreciate the use of my loupes. All other times, when smothered in my personal protective equipment, I could never imagine adding one more ounce of equipment to my person and the inevitability of its malfunction. My loupes and their usage have always been seen only as another hindrance in situations where I am already uncomfortable and unsure. Due to the light calculus levels seen in the patents I was given to work with, I see the need for best conditions, such as light and malfunction. I am eager to go back, bring and use my loupes, and wipe them down with Sani Cloths. I see how quickly I could work with no fear of is this right? • 14. Ilya Kaminsky s We Lived Happily During The War I think it s fair to say that a majority of people in the United States get up every morning with only miniscule problems to worry about. We are not affected by a crashing economy. We don t have mass numbers of people starving to the point where they are skin and bone. We don t deal with people trying to kill us for having different religious views as them. We don t have a multitude of corrupt groups fighting for power over our nation. We don t wake up surrounded by damages of the atrocities caused by extremist s bombs. Other countries, however, are not this fortunate, and Ilya Kaminsky s poem, We Lived Happily During the War does an excellent job of pointing this out. It s clear when reading this poem, the main theme of it is that there are people in this world who are not nearly as fortunate as us. We feel bad for them and make a big deal out of how horrible their situation is. Yet, we don t actually go out and do anything worthwhile about it for fear of losing our own comforting bubble of safety. The idea of us feeling bad for those in direr situations and crying for something to be done appears right at the beginning of the poem when it says, And when they bombed other people s houses, we protested, (Ilya Kaminsky, 1 and 2). This quote is very apparently true to us. The news, for several years now, has been full of protests saying that we need to offer help to people in war stricken and terrorist filled countries. • 15. Athenian Democracy Dbq Essay During the Golden Age in Greece, many things changed. Things that changed were the diversity of political views and the social doings of the Athenians and the organization of the Athenians economy. With the Golden Age, many groups worked together that wouldn t normally interact. The biggest example of that is the relationship between Athenians and their democracy. The first example of the relationship between the Athenians and their democracy during the golden age was the diversity of political views that the Athenians followed. Too start in document 3 written by Isocrates an Athenian political statesman, orator, and writer and made in the year 346 BCE and the point they are trying to get across is that back then they did not have a political system/government which in turn made the people do whatever they wanted which was bad. The author s point of view from this document is that how the three forms of government, autocracy, oligarchy, and democracy work and the principles of them are. • 17. Ursula Le Guin s Nine Lives as a Feminist Statement In the beginning of the 20th century, feminists movements started to arise, with the conviction of vindicate women in the social arrengement of that time, in order to get the same opportunities as men. Literature could not escape from this reality; as a result, women began to write about their situation. Ursula Le Guin´s Nine Lives , published in the 1960´s, was one of the first attempts in science fiction literature to adress the condition of women in the social arrengement. Nine Lives is set in Libra, a rocky planet which is far away from Earth,in the outer space, and in a distant future. Throughout the text there are no references to the thoughts, emotions or feelings of the female characters, totally opposed to the male characters´s minds; the narrator has full access to their minds, indicating their thoughts, emotions, and feelings. E.g.: Pugh was pleased. He had hoped Martin would want to go on working with him, but neither of them was used to talking much about their feelings, and he hesitated to ask. By having portrayed the female charactes in a superficial way, with no access to their minds from the narrator, and the distant behaviour towards them from the male characters, Le Guin makes a clear allusion to the subordination of women in the society. According to O. Neira (1981. p.84) La mayoría de los papeles asignados culturalmente a la mujer están concebidos de modo que contrasten con la superioridad del varón. (1). Mrs. Ursula criticizes this male chauvinist society arrengement. Nonetheless, as with the previous point, Le Guin does not state her point directly, but, instead, she recreates in the text the characteristics in which women lived in 1960´s American ... It is the extinction of species, there are so many species that go extinct that you probably do not know about. One such species is the Chinese tiger. These tigers have a sad story due to their extinction. I believe that the Chinese tigers should be saved from mongrels who would use their lives for personal gain, or even for any reason. I also hope that you share the same viewpoint as me, but I will leave that decision to you after you read through my article. First let us begin with why the Chinese Tiger is so special. The Chinese tiger is considered the Stem Tiger , this means that all of the other tigers were originated from this species of tiger. So the well renown Bengal and Siberian tigers are subspecies from the Chinese tiger. That makes these tigers a treasured species to science. It also means that this species is irreplaceable. I know that I do not want the Chinese tiger to become like the albino rhino. I believe that these tigers should be put in captivity for the time being until their numbers reach about 150, then we should release a little at a time back into to the wild to get the ecosystem back to the way it was without endangering yet another species. The Role Of Clans In Somalia While it is obvious that Somalia has a plethora of problems that it needs to solve before it can repair the damage it has sustained, one problem in particular is the most prohibitive to a developed Somalia. The strangle hold on society that clans have achieved prevents any form of national identity building or institution solidification. With citizens more enticed by being a member of a clan than being a citizen of Somalia, any institutions created will be seen as just another way to enrich their clans. It is imperative that clans either be eliminated completely, or integrated into government in such a way that they sustain said government. Businessman and former Ford president, Lee Iacocca once said, The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family. If you stripped away all the glitz and glamour of your life, what would be left? There is only one answer for me, family. Whenever life s most challenging moments arise and you are brought to your knees, your family will be the rock on which you can stand. Family is everything to me and I would not be the man that I am today without the love and support that my family has unconditionally given to me. I was born on April 24, 1997 in St. Petersburg, Russia. After left alone in the hospital by my birth parents, they transferred me to an orphanage where I would grow up for the next two years. On July 7, 1999, my life was impacted in a way that most people will never understand. The only parents that I have ever called mother and father adopted my sister and me. Everything changed with that moment of time. I will never be able to thank my parents enough for the grace and they showed me those many years ago, but as the result of that faithful day, I would continue to develop into the person that I am today. Growing up as the baby of the family, I fell into the stereotype that I always got what I want, which is only partially true. The one thing that I have always known that I have is the love of my siblings. My older brother has always have been there for me growing up, constantly helping me and ... • 25. Outsider Outsiders I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation (Martin Luther King). GETTYSBURG ADDRESS (19 NOVEMBER 1863) [1] Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal ( Abraham Lincoln). We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims around the world tension rooted in historical forces that go beyond any current policy debate (Barack Obama). All of these are the starting point of great changes. These famous historical figures are considered Outsiders The Term Outsider Literally means One who does not belong to a particular group. Perception is the main key in deciding if someone belongs when they are an outsider. If you look at it from one group they don t belong and from another they do. One of the most famous outsiders in history is Martin Luther King. He was considered this because he decided to take a stance against what s normal and average. He wanted to have equal rights for both African Americans and Caucasians. By doing this he was considered an outsider by all people. They either stood with him or against him during his outside revolution. Although he did not like to be considered an outsider as shown by this quote Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. Anyone who lives in the US can never be considered an outsider anywhere in the country He was an outsider by trying to make no one feel like an outsider themselves. So throughput this he didn t belong to the groups trying not to allow equal rights. But to the people, he stood up with he was a leader and belonged to their group, therefore even if you don t feel like you belong with the group you re in, you have a network. The next outsider is Our famous 16th president Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was considered the rail splitting candidates throughout his campaign and presidency. He was born and raised from working class roots. This set him apart from his opposing candidate William H. Seward (who was the former governor of New York and a sitting Senator. The three strikes law is one of the most modernized laws in the criminal justice system of the United States, where it has been created in the efforts to reduce and prevent crimes in the states especially for required sentencing laws for repeat criminal offenders. In 2003, more than half of the United States had adopted the three strikes law; in addition, the law is raised when criminals have committed their third felonies. Therefore, these laws execute a harsher penalty of a minimum of 25 years of a life sentence for criminals who have committed a crime for the third time even though their crimes that are not evil.
