A Report On The Seals
It was 0400 at the staging area, the SEALs had shown up in four fully outfitted DPV s (Desert Patrol
Vehicles Off road vehicles used for combat). Captain O Hara wondered where the hell they had been
keeping those. The plan was that the SEALs would for the most part move hard and fast to the
museum and secure it, then hold it until the much larger Marine follow on force arrived. The Marine
follow on force consisted of the entire Marine Company; they had pulled, temporarily, the Marine
platoon from the school to help with this operation. The SEALs would leave at 0415 and they were
itching to go, they were actually looking forward to it. The Marines in armored Humvees and two half
ton trucks, the old M 35 s, would follow thirty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

in the evening which meant there wasn t a great deal of traffic on the roads. Post event, as they were
finding out, it made getting down the roads they needed to quicker and less risky. The SEALs were
driving the DPV s balls out, while the others in the vehicles were looking for potential bad guys. At
five miles out they hadn t seen a living soul, at six and seven miles they had passed through two very
small camps, they surprised the hell out of the occupants, they saw that several members of the camps
were armed but the SEALs passed through them so quick that they didn t have time to react. They
radioed back the information to the main convoy to be on the lookout for the armed civilians in the
camps. At mile eight they entered a large camp that looked to have a population in the hundreds, they
realized they wouldn t be able to go around it; their only option was to pass directly through it. The
road passed through the center of it with all sorts of tents, dwellings made of wood and cardboard,
some people only had a tarp over them. The SEALs moved slowly through the camp, people were

Barbary War Analysis
With every conflict discussed there were social, economic, and political factors that reflected onto the
future of another event. Through the education and analyzation of the effects, the people of Earth can
develop preventative and preparatory measures to reduce conflict. Preventative being methods of
preventing conflict from occurring at all, and preparatory being measures to prepare for conflict so
that little harm occurs. All that has to be done is the analyzation of the past. In the Barbary Wars,
America was targeted due it its unprotected state. This reflects onto how Somalia was taken
advantaged of due to its weakened government. This can then be translated into how if a nation
appears weak, another nation will try to undermine it. America, ... Show more content on

Thus, by being presented as strong and dangerous, a country is less likely to be attacked. From this, a
cycle forms, if the Somali pirates continue to bully other nations, the other nations will then fight back
like America did against Tripoli, and in the end demonstrate their power. This helps lead into the
explanation for the decline of Somali Piracy since 2012. In preparing for conflict it is important to
recognize the signs of conflict. Such as repressed people, which mostly occurs as a result of a
monarchy or those who do not have their opinions heard. Hence, America in the revolution war
declaring its independence and America in the Barbary War demonstrating its strength and will to not
be terrorized again. Once the signs are recognizing preventative measures can be taken to reduce the
conflict or overall stop it at its source. Such as turning from a rule of monarchy into one of democracy
where people will have their voices heard and acknowledge. Through the strengthened support of the
people, the country/nation will be on a better ground and improve its reputation. Such as how America
had the support of their people during the Barbary War and through its victory developed a strong,

The Pros And Cons Of An Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur is the individual who starts a business with new products or services with lots of
freedom and faces different risk of failures. On the other hand intrapreneur is the individual who
works under the entrepreneur as an employee. Though the intrapreneur is given the authority of
creating new product, he does not faces any risk of failure of generating revenue and profit by those
products.
According to a research body entrepreneur bears all risk of a business because he collects necessary
resources or capital from various sources and also gives guarantees to repay whereas the intrapreneur
does not bears any risk because he does not have any responsibility to raise fianace and to repay those

During the time of generating idea of new products or services or formation of the firm, an
entrepreneur must think about the culture of a country. To establish or to operate any business in a
country the entrepreneur must follow that country s culture. Without considering the culture if he
produces any product, that product will not be sold in the market (Diederichs, 2008). And usually the
company will make loss. Research department says that, culture is a sympathetic part of the
consumers. Though they sometime accept other culture, most of the time they try to follow it. Another
argument is the entrepreneur should government s rule and regulation to launch a business firm.
Governments have different rules and regulation to different kinds of business such as tax regulation,
laws for employee, etc. So, to launch a business entrepreneur must follow the government s rules and
regulations. James Dyson has followed government s rules when he launched his business named
Dyson Company. Dyson Company pays tax to the government. It also follows the employee laws and

Summary Of Survival In Auschwitz By Primo Levi
Title One of the natural instincts of intelligent beings is in the case of fear to fight, or to run away;
however, in some cases like in the concentration camps in Germany during World War II it is hard to
do either of those two natural responses. This issue, with not being able to enact on this natural
instinct because of the restriction of being closely controlled, is related to Primo Levi in his
autobiography Survival in Auschwitz he was a captured Italian Jew who was able to survive
Auschwitz because of how he internally thought with himself to stay alive. The Holocaust is one of
the most researched events during World War II; and Levi is one of the, relatively, few who survived,
and went on to be able to tell his story. In Survival in Auschwitz Levi detailed the horrible conditions
the soldiers lived and worked in as well as the malnutrition he experienced. Levi also detailed his
struggle to stay human which, along with climbing up the social ranks, helped him survive; As a result
of these struggles Levi seems to believe there is at least a slight lesson to learn from his survival.
During World War II, if a person was labeled as a Jew, whether they were actively practicing or not,
and was captured then sent to a concentration camp life was absolutely brutal. Unless you were in Ka
Be, the concentration camp version of an infirmary, there were hardly any sanitary places. Even the
bathroom which should be clean and at least have clean running water was disgusting; as

Analysis of The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield Essay
Analysis of The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield
The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield tells the story of a man who tries to learn and understand
the nine key insights into life itself in an ancient manuscript that has been discovered in Peru. It
predicts a massive spiritual transformation of society in the late twentieth century. We will finally
grasp the secrets of the universe, the mysteries of existence, and the meaning of life. The real meaning
and purpose of life will not be found in religion or in material wealth, but rather in things like auras.
He comes across the insights in numerical order since that is how one must understand them.
Overcoming an initial skepticism, the narrator s understanding grows with each ... Show more content

The truth is not outside ourselves but exists in us; we only have to learn to recognize and follow it. If
indeed this is truth, then there are no absolutes. Your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth. No
one can judge another s inner experience of truth; therefore, there can be no right or wrong. Yet the
book implies there are wrong ways of thinking when it is refers to the traditional beliefs that one must
reject in order to understand the insights. Apparently, some truths are truer than others.
The next several insights are based on the belief that the universe is comprised of pure energy that is
malleable to human intention and expectation (p.42). Later, the narrator states, I perceived everything
to be somehow part of me and he realizes his real body is actually the universe (p.98). Connecting to
this energy field is essential to spiritual development since this energy is life, love and God. The
narrator is advised that love exists when one is connected to the energy in the universe, which, of
course, is the energy of God, (p.153). The narrator learns how to see energy fields around plants and
people.
The story builds as the narrator encounters each insight that leads him into a state where he is able to
understand the next insight. The culmination is a realization that spiritual evolvement is moving one s
energy into a higher vibration. Matter is the densest form of energy and therefore less evolved. As one
evolves and the energy vibrations

Nuclear Energy And Its Effects
1. Background
Nuclear energy can be produced by fission, by splitting a nucleus into smaller products, (precisely
equal parts). These products are equal to half of the original mass. In the process of nuclear fission,
energy and neutrons will be emitted. Along with the emission of neutrons, also during the process of
fission, a large amount of a product s energy is released.
Every day we are surrounded by so much radiation however, only some radiation can be harmful to
us. Radiation such as microwaves, radio waves, and infrared are classes as non ionizing and are not a
threat to humans. Radiation classed as Ionizing radiation is most definitely harmful to us because it
has the capability of removing electrons from other atoms and then ... Show more content on

They also have a less powerful ionizing rate compared to alpha particles.
Gamma rays are energy, also known as electromagnetic radiation. They have no charge or mass. They
move through the air extremely quickly (at the speed of light) and to ionize them, they need to directly
hit the nucleus of an atom. This suggests that gamma rays have a very low ionizing rate and can travel
much t=further through the air compared to alpha and beta particles.
Nuclear fuelled power plants are very similar to fossil fuelled power pants, in which they both turn
water into steam in order to control the turbine generators that produce energy; the only difference is
the source of heat. At nuclear power plants, a nuclear reactor produces and controls the amount of
energy that is released when atoms of Uranium split, which is called fission. The heat that is used to
make this steam is created by this form of fission. Uranium fuelled nuclear power plants are a clean
and efficient way of boiling water to produce the steam that is used to operate the turbine generators
within the power plant.
Figure 1 shows the equation for the nuclear fission of uranium 235.
2. Discussion
Even though we use Nuclear energy to give places electricity, Nuclear energy is used in many more
things than just in the production of electricity. Such as; Hospitals, schools, households or business ,
Nuclear Radiation can be used to treat heavy medical

The objective is to determine the most cost effective method to decrease the project s deadline. The
project plan discussed below has been generated through the use of a projectplanning scheduling
technique, Critical Path Methodology, to secure the scientific approach. The program schedule
provides a quantitative basis to make managerial decisions to shorten the implementation time of the
overall project.
2. Assumptions and Approximations
The mathematical model created to schedule all the projects is based upon a number of simplifying
assumptions and approximations. These need to be taken into account in order to make an independent
judgment about the model s usefulness.
The assumptions and approximations of this model are:

The product introduction program has been broken down into three groups of activities: Research
Development, Marketing Advertising, and Promotion;

The description of each activity and the indicated time required for its completion in weeks was taken
at face value from the case;

The tasks to be performed by each department and the estimated durations and deadlines were also
considered as given;

The preceding activities for each activity are considered as such;

The tasks that could potentially be crashed by increasing resources were decisions based on the
information available in the case.

Love, By Laura Kipnis
You ll be mine and I ll be yours. Everything will be perfect until one screws up, but what if no one
screws up? Yes, if no one screws up you made it to the finish line of a happily ever after . Love is such
a crazy thing, one day is alive and growing and the next is fading until it completely dies. Everyone
will have their own view on love, but love is vague, for one knows about today but not about
tomorrow. In her critique of love, Against Love, Laura Kipnis offers a judgmental version of what
constitutes real love . She questions whether we truly desire love, or rather, are conditioned to. She
asserts that social forms accustomed us to pursue a love life so that we are entertained and wanted. But
everyone has a different opinion on the matter. In his short story, What We Talk about When We Talk
about Love, Raymond Carver tells the story of four different individuals in which he explores the
perceptions of love by referring to their beliefs and experiences. One of the four characters, Mel,
seems to have an unclear perspective on love himself as he questions his love life and asserts that
everyone is entitled to look for love when is missing. If Mel was to have a conversation with Kipnis
they would agree and disagree on certain ideas, for they both are able to understand the complexity of
the matter. Mel would agree with Kipnis that society forces one to feel like a failure when love dies
and that people move on because society expects us to, as he questions his

Online Privacy And Social Security
Online privacy is a major problem facing many people today. The major problem is that our privacy is
being invaded and being used for other personal needs. Not only that but it is harming you in more
ways than you know. For example it could affect your social security, lost job opportunities, and
denial of insurance. Firstly, it could affect your social security in a great number of ways. According to
MIT Technology Review the number of cyber criminals has increased by a great margin. The fact that
criminals can look through what you have been looking through and what you re doing and when can
help them greatly. Some examples include robbing your home when you re away, taking your identity,
and stealing your money. This is all done from just looking through what you do on the internet. ...

come back and haunt you even ruin your life.
Lastly, insurances can see what you ve been doing and even deny you of insurance on things. This is
doesn t only affect your life but is detrimental to your life. For example if you want to get insurance
on your car or home and can t because they see that you have crashed several cars before that. Also
seeing that you your irresponsible and could possibly not pay them back on time or at all will have
insurances denying you left and right.
In conclusion, online privacy is affect everyone in the worst way possible. It is ruining people s lives

Continuous Auditing Essay
Continuous Auditing (CA hereafter) is a representative of the progressively automated world of
auditing, and it is a trend of auditing in the information explosion era. Machine Learning can help to
implement CA to improve companies decision making and risk management. 1) Machine Learning
and audit analytics fits the original motivation of CA The Auditing Concepts Committee (American
Accounting Association [AAA] 1972) defined auditing as a systematic process of objectively
obtaining and evaluating evidence regarding assertions about economic actions and events to ascertain
the degree of correspondence between those assertions and established criteria and communicating the
results to interested users. This definition clearly shows that the focus of auditing is verification of
assertions made by managements, including the proposed financial reports (Alles et al. 2004).
Continuous auditing (CA) broadens this concept by proposing timelier assurance, generally with less
aggregated (or transactional) data than traditional auditing.
Vasarhelyi and Halper (1991) first introduced the concept of continuous auditing when they developed
a monitoring tool in an online IT environment. Its rationale is to provide more timely assurance by
continuously monitoring a company s entire transactional data. As they asserted, CA is designed to
measure and monitor large systems, drawing key metrics and analytics into a workstation
environment. This approach, reflecting the evolution of

A strong culture is said to exist where staff respond to stimulus because of their alignment to
organizational values. (Dayton Business Journal website, 2002, para 1) Therefore, the Hearthside can
be said to have a strong organizational culture. This is demonstrated through the employee s
dedication to the same goal of providing quality service. This can be seen through Gail as she
attempted to provide extra croutons on the salad, waitresses using tip money to provide a customer
with a meal, the cooks cooking the food in a quality way and having the food out on time, and even
the dishwashers taking some sort of pride in accomplishing the dishes in a timely matter. Ironically the
biggest detriment to providing quality service at the Hearthside was management and their stingy
policies, which demand a mandated amount of sour cream or croutons. The identity of the Hearthside

Pompei Essay
Are the remains in Pompeii and indication of how the Ancient Romans lived? The city of Pompeii has
been frozen in time since the early afternoon of 24th August 79CE. A gigantic time capsule,
illustrating the everyday life of ancient Romans, has captured the last moments of at least two
thousand people. Pompeii had remained mostly untouched up until 1594 when building an aqueduct,
upon uncovering the ashes that worked as a preservative, they found the ruins of a once great town.
Casts of people showed their dying moments, gold and precious household items littered the streets.
(Staff, 2010) From the ruins of the city, it is reasonable to assume that the rest of Roman society was
much the same as Pompeii was at the time of the eruption. (Whipps, 2007) The 24th August began just
as every other day for the citizens of Pompeii. However the warning of an earthquake sixteen years
earlier did not warn them of the incoming danger. Mount ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pompeii s amphitheatre was built shortly after 80 BCE; this causes it to become the oldest known
example of its kind in the Roman world. Any event hosted in the amphitheatre was strongly publicised

were from the surrounding villages. (Western Australian Museum, n/d) It is recorded at in 59 CE, a
riot broke out between Pompeian fans and the citizens of the nearby town of Nuceria, and as a result,
the amphitheatre was closed for a decade. A gentler form of entertainment, with less gore, was that of
theatrical performances. Pompeii s theatre was old, built originally in the second century BCE in the

Summary Of Gerald Graff s Hidden Intellectualism
Although many people would agree that Intellectuals are those who stand out academically, Gerald
Graff would think otherwise. Hidden Intellectualism is an essay written by Gerald Graff, where he
shares his beliefs about how the educational system is failing to tap those who are doing academically
poor, yet resembles great potential of intellectualism when it comes to their passion or interest. Along
with this beliefs Patch Adams is a movie based on a real story, where Hunter Adams (Patch) who
admitted himself on a Psychiatric hospital after trying to commit suicide tries to redeem himself. After
spending a few months in the Psychiatric hospital. Hunter found himself being hopeless by pills and
his counselor. It wasn t until one night he helped his roommate to conquer his fear, by creating a
humor game so he can laugh about his own fears. After that night he realized that he felt extremely
happy helping his roommate that he developed a passion for it, decides to leave, and go into medical
school. However, being in a medical school required a lot of focused, attention, and memorization,
something that Patch didn t do. For Patch being a doctor required more than just learning and
following rules of a book. His belief was to treat patients in a humanistic way not, comply by the rules
of a book.

by the movie Patch Adams by questioning whether the educational system is in a

Cyber Security Monitoring
To perform adaptive cyber security analytics using a computer implemented method that includes
receiving a report on a network activity, It works as follows, a scoring method is used wherein a score
responsive to the network activity is calculated. The score indicates a likelihood of security breach.
The score is validated and the scoring model is automatically updated responsive to results of the

Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
SIEM provides services which can be broadly categorized in two parts:
1. Security event Management (SEM): Incident management and real time monitoring for all the
security related events ranging from networks, and other devices and applications.
2. Security Information Management (SIM): It includes compliance reporting and management of
logs.
SEM and SIM together serves 3 primary use cases i.e. Compliance, Threat management and the
deployment of mixture of both. Source: https://hazima.wordpress.com/2014/07/22/what is siem/#jp

Describe the Concept of Jit and Its Relationship to...
Just In Time (JIT) is a management philosophy which implements systems or processes which aims to
maximise return of investment by maximising production efficiency, improving product quality,
reducing manufacturing and logistical costs, and the elimination of waste. JIT, as the name implies,
also means bringing the right materials at the right place at the right time. Items must arrive as and
when they are needed, neither earlier nor later, but just in time . In its strictest sense, inventory is
considered a waste in JIT. In logistics, JIT aims to eliminate waste of all forms; be it time, resources or
materials.
Although the JIT concept has been applied loosely for years by various organisations, the JIT
philosophy we know today can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, the computers delivered were customized according to different customer requirements, without
compromising on quality. With JIT, production levels can be easily adjusted to meet demand.
Integrated supplier and distributor networks were instrumental in the success of Dell Computers.
Without these relationships, Dell would not have been able to support a 50+% growth rate for 3
consecutive years that lead to $12 billion in annual sales by 1997. (Fillard, Frahm, Mercer Scott, n.d.)
Although the JIT system managed to revolutionise numerous companies in the way they run their
logistics, it is not all a bed of roses for some companies. Since JIT does away with supply inventory,
companies are sometimes forced to be over dependent on their JIT suppliers. Sometimes they are at
their suppliers mercy. Examples of this can be found at Ford Motor Company and General Motors.
Ford faced a problem with one of its suppliers which forced them to shut down six plants which cost
them tens of millions of dollars. The supply company for General Motors had a strike, and supplies
could not be delivered. Two thirds of their plants had to shut down. This cost GM about $600 million
in profits in 1996. (Glenn, T. 2001)

Ones perception on a book may or may not be changed once...
Ones perception on a book may or may not be changed once they see the movie produced that is based
off of a book. While reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest by Ken Kesey I was able to visualize
how I believed the characters would be in real life. Unlike the book, the movie is presented the way in
which the producer views the characters taking away ones sense of imagination. A major difference
between the book and the film is the point of view in which the story was told. The book is told in
Chief s point of view and the movie is not. I noticed during the movie there had been some scenes
missing but they made sure to include the important ones. Some of the significant ones being
McMurphy s actions of choking Nurse Ratched. I believe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The scene in the book where the lifeguard at the pool who once was admitted to the ward tells
McMurphy that the nurses are the ones who decides how long one stays in the ward, and in the movie
Washington tells McMurphy that information. At one point of the book McMurphy and Bromden are
sent to the disturbed ward after getting into an altercation with the nurses when McMurphy tried to
stop them from forcing medication onto George in the shower who is known to be extremely cautious
of germs. Unlike the book the movie shows this scene as McMurphy getting into a fight with the
nurses after breaking the nurse s station window to get Cheswick s cigarettes in order to calm him
down. After Chief helps him, all three of them are sent to the disturbed ward. Due to all of the changes
in the movie compared to the book it was hard to follow the movie at times. When certain scenes
happened in the movie that didn t in the book it confused me and when they brought in new characters
or changed the way the characters were portrayed made it difficult to relate the movie back to the
book. I don t believe the film changed my perception of McMurphy s Heroism because both in the
book and film he played the significant role of standing up to Nurse Ratched even though she was
known to belittle all of the patients. McMurphy continued to try and help the patients escape the ward
before he thought about himself leaving and that showed the type of character McMurphy was.

Fossil Fuels In The US
Fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas provide the U.S. with over 80 percent of its energy
supply (McNerney Cheek, 2012). Fossil fuels, formed from organic materials over the course of many
centuries, have fueled the global and U.S. economic development for the past two centuries.
Nonetheless, fossil fuels are finite resources that cause irreversible harm to the environment. Scientists
consider them nonrenewable forms of energy since they take hundreds of years to form. According to
Rand (2010), fossil fuels were responsible for 79 percent of the greenhouse emissions in 2010. Poor
efficiency practices and higher energy demands have increased the usage of fossil fuels, and it is now
important to find substitute means of generating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Energy efficiency has a variety of benefits: lowering cost on both household and economical levels,
reducing demand for energy imports, and fewer greenhouse emissions. Although renewable energy
technologies help to accomplish these objectives of reducing the utilization of fossil fuels, the
cheapest, and often most immediate, is improving energy efficiency. There are considerable
opportunities for improving the efficiency in almost all sectors of the economy, whether it is transport,
energy generation, buildings, or industry. Most typical cars consume fossil fuels. Choosing alternative
forms of transport other than running a personal car saves on the fossil fuel. Alternative forms of
transport in America include train, subway system, or bus. Moreover, taking public transport does not
only save on fossil fuels but it also allows one to concentrate on other things such as reading.
Additionally, the best way of being independent of fossil fuels is driving less. Bicycle riding or
walking reduces the utilization of fossil fuels; it is cheap, good for the environmental, and

The Rivalry Between Gene And Finny s Friendship
Keep your Friends Close and your Enemies Closer Set in 1942 during World War II, A Separate Peace
by John Knowles deals with the hostility between two best friends, Gene and Finny. Gene is a decent
athlete, and an extremely smart student. Finny, on the hand, is an extremely capable athlete, but an
average student. While the World War II is happening somewhere far from Devon, a personal war
driven by envy and jealousy is diverging their friendship. What started as a friendly competition
between the two, turns into a deadly rivalry. The rivalry between Gene and Finny starts because Gene
grows extremely jealous of Finny athletic abilities. This happens because of the expectations the war
has put on the young adolescents at Devon. Since Gene and his friends are expected to enlist for the
army anyway, Gene s intellectuality gets overlooked, and Finny s athletic abilities gets praised. Gene s

over him. This is also the part where Finny manifest his new jealousy towards Gene. He says I ll hate

was going to keep on saying it .... After I got letter from Ottawa or Chunking or some place saying

Gender Role In Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness Essay
Gender Role In Joseph Conrad s Heart of Darkness
For the most part people who read Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad may feel that the novella is
strictly a story of exploration and racial discrimination. But to Johanna Smith who wrote Too
Beautiful Altogether : Ideologies of Gender and Empire in Heart of Darkness it is much more than
that. Johanna Smith along with Wallace Watson and Rita A. Bergenholtz agree that throughout Heart
of Darkness there are tones of gender prejudice, but the way that these three different authors perceive
and interpret those gender tones are to a certain extent different.
In Too Beautiful Altogether Smith points out that even though Heart of Darkness is an especially

To recognize ideological contradictions in Heart of Darkness, one needs to be on familiar terms with
discourse. A discourse is a domain of language use (Belsey 5), a specific mode of speaking, writing,
and thinking that includes certain shared assumptions (Smith 190). One example Smith gives of an
ideology in Heart of Darkness is the ideology of gender or empire, written in the words feminine or
savage. Johanna Smith gives many examples of Marlow s contradictions that his ideological discourse
of empire and gender work to mystify. In Heart of Darkness the women are often silenced. Smith
points out the example of the laundress: the company s chief accountant insists that she had to be
taught to launder his clothes properly and that she had a strong disliking for the job. But you never
truly hear her side of the story; Smith suggests Marlow s silencing of the laundress shows Marlow s
authority as the masculine narrator of his story, to conceal not only her story but also those of the other
silent women in Heart of Darkness (Smith 193). Marlow s Way of self asserting his dominating
silence of the women is a clear example of Marlow s view towards women and is a key illustration of
just how much Marlow believes he, as a male, is far more superior than a women. The second point

African Americans And Its Impact On Society
African Americans have been through so much since being uprooted from their home in Africa. Most
people do not understand what happened to African Americans and they understand what they had to
go through to be where they are today. It went from being kings in the comfort of their home to being
thrown on a boat packed like sardines to be forced to work in the fields. The trip was a massacre itself
because many did not make it due to the treatment from others. African Americans have always been
treated like outsiders and it took many people to sway the perception of others to be where they are
today. Through all the ups and downs African Americans persevered and made it out the struggle.
African Americans has always been treated badly all groups of people and they always looked down
on African Americans. Throughout the history involving African American, it showed the constant
inferiority treatment. African Americans were slaves years ago, people still look at blacks as less
important than other people. Slavery has a huge impact on our society today because people are still
bias and unfair towards African Americans, most African Americans are still living in poverty and don
t have proper education beyond high school which is why they don t have the equal opportunity for
jobs. African Americans still continue to sit in the shadow behind white people.

hateful or racially offensive speech. But to my surprise many campuses around the United States have
this problem and they need to find a way to solve it.
According to an article I read titled AMERICANS ARE SPLIT ALONG PARTY LINES OVER
WHETHER SCHOOLS SHOULD PUNISH RACIST SPEECH This article surprised me how many
college students think penalty should be given to people on campus using hateful or racially offensive
speech, to try and resolve this problem. In a poll done by Huffington Post/YouGov reviled that 53
percent of college students feel this way. The same poll reviled that 45 percent of students think that

Nature In King Lear
English poet and playwright, William Shakespeare is universally considered the greatest dramatist of

the human being was the focus of central importance rather than divine beings. Unlike his other plays,
Shakespeare chooses to abstain from leaving the play with Lear realising that his personal tragedy is
his own doing but continues by making him see things in a different perspective. Furthermore, King
Lear represents the merging of self and other what it means to be human. For instance, this merge of

Compare And Contrast Baseball And Softball
Though baseball and softball appear to be the same, the games have an assortment of differences
including the equipment, the setup of the playing fields, and runs of how the two games are played.
When a spectator is watching a ball game, either baseball or softball, both games may appear to use
the same equipment in their games. The subtle differences in each piece of equipment are what make
the two sports unlike each other. When someone is asked what items are needed for baseball and
softball, the most common responses are usually a bat, a ball, and a glove. What some people may not
take into account, are the often unnoticed detail of each of these items that make them different for
each sport. For example: the bat. Most commonly made of wood or aluminum, the Major League
Baseball (MLB) are only permitted to use wood bats with a length no more than 42 . However, in
professional softball leagues, the players can use bats of any material while staying within the
regulations of length (34 ), width (2.4 ), and mass (38 oz.). The next minor oversight is the ball.
Although most people know that the softball is larger in size, a few key details separate the two. In
baseball, they use a ball that is 9 in circumferance, light weight, and is always white in color. The
softball, which can be either 11 or 12 in circumference for professional leagues, is actually more dense
and can be either white or yellow in color. In regards to the way the field is set up for baseball and

Content Validity And Its Effects On The Research Instrument

Haynes et al (1995) describe content validity as the degree of relevance from each elements to their

(incremental fit index 0.9, goodness of fit index 0.9), low root mean square residuals and high

item and composite reliabilities.
Before implementing model fit evaluation, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is adopted in this
research because according to Chiou in Wu et al. (2011), if the number of sample did not exceed 200,

1 Introduction.
Preparation, characterization, and physical properties of a nanostructured materials of silver
(nanoparticles and nanocomposites) have been the subject of various researcher in many scientific
laboratories during the past years for many studies and it has been also established that size, stability,
color, shape, and properties depend on the method of preparation (radiation, photochemical,

and even on the addition rate of reducing agents [1 12].
The properties of such nanocomposites can further be improved through various treatments like,

have to learn how to deal with red tape, guanxi (relationship) and make breakthrough in the thicket of
regulations and restrictions. Entry Modes Different entry modes bring different risks and returns.
Foreign enterprises should weigh and balance those risk factors. Mergers and Acquisitions With ...

These issues affect all companies, but present the most serious challenge to small foreign firms that
are new to China and lack international and country specific experience. Larger firms are coming up
with strategies to address these issues, if not resolve them. Regulatory Risks Overview During the last
few years much of the economy has been deregulated, a process that was well under way before
December 2001, the date of China s accession to the WTO. During the 1990s almost all of the former
industrial ministries and state commissions were abolished, cutting the number of institutions and
officials at the centre looking to be involved in business affairs. Some old school planning
apparatchiks have no doubt survived but there are fewer options for them to slake their thirst for
control. Many state owned enterprises have been sold off and a large proportion of those that remain
have lost market share to private domestic firms and foreign invested enterprises (FIEs). China s
thicket of regulations has been cut back and the rules that remain have gradually become more
institutionalized. The picture that characterized much of the 1980s and 1990s everyone from
multinational managers to Chinese officials groping their way forward, often making things up as they
went along is no longer representative of the business environment. Foreign firms in different sectors

PERFORMANCE Textron s Board of Directors (Thundersbird School of Global Management,
Graeme Rankine TB0043, September 9,2009) had launched a new initiative to assess the company s
supply chain and the company s working capital needs. First step was to benchmark the company s
recent financial performance against other aerospace and defense firms to determine the areas in
which the company s performance could be improved. Top management was particularly interested in
understanding the company s sizeable investments in net working capital. Ms. Amphlett, a financial

Royal Little founded the Special Yarns Corporation in Boston, Massachusetts. During World War II,
the company, operating as Atlantic Rayon Corporation, found a ready market producing parachutes.
In 1943, with World War II government contracts dwindling, Royal Little, faced with the challenge of
declining revenue and underutilized production capacity, developed a vertically integrated company
that controlled every operational aspect of the business from raw goods processing to distribution. He
moved beyond making parachutes to making lingerie, blouses, bed linens, and other consumer goods
under the brand name Textron.
Textron was listed on the New York Stock Exchange on December 22, 1947, and by 1949, Textron s
sales had reached $67.8 million.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Textron acquired consumer businesses such as Speidel, maker of
watchbands; Sheaffer Pen; staple and nafl gun maker Bostich; and Rhode Island silver company
Gorham. During this period, Textron was known as one of the most highly diversified corporations in
the U.S.

Great Man Theory Analysis Juli
Julius Caesar was undoubtedly a man who changed history. His life and its story have inspired
generations of awe and scrupulous study. Many would argue he is the most influential man in recorded
history. However, can the great Caesar truly be declared a ‘event making man , according to the
criteria of the Great Man Theory? Did he truly influence the course of history through his own
extraordinary acts of will and leadership? Or was he simply a fortunate man who appeared in the right
place at the right time, being only the pawn of a greater scheme? By following and exploring the
political ideals and abilities of Caesar, as well as his military ability and prowess, this essay hopes to
clearly demonstrate that he was indeed a great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this, he demonstrated that in politics, Julius Caesar was indeed a great ‘event making man. During
Caesar s famous military career, Caesar showed incredible determination and ingenuity when facing
any opponent. He won battles under impossible odds, and shocked and delighted Romans with his
victories wherever he went. When others doubted him, he proved them wrong. Doubt would
oftentimes even encourage him, and he scoffed at those who fought against him. He was by no means
an ordinary military leader. Of particular note was the combination of his bravery, his ingenuity, and
perhaps most important, his determination. Some may call it stupidity or ignorance, yet Caesar s
unwillingness to lose would win him many famous and prestigious battles. His battles in Gaul and in
Britain brought substantial glory to his name, and gained considerable land for the Roman Empire
which he would soon rule. For nine years he fought campaigns in all of Britain, and after nine long
years he had brought all of Britain into the Roman province. There were more frequent and longer
celebrations in Rome for his victories than for any former general. Caesar was not only ingenious in
his victories of these campaigns, but he also saw their significance elsewhere. They added immense
sums to his already substantial wealth, in the form of annual revenues from annexed lands. They also
increased his fame and popularity, and he was revered almost as a god. As aforementioned,

Argumentative Essay On Breast Cancer
Cancer, a word that many cringe at when heard and one of the leading causes of death in the world.
The first recorded diagnosed case of cancer, was a case of Breast cancer found in the age of the
ancient Egyptians. Cancer has affected many of our lives, whether you have had cancer or one of your
friends or family members has been diagnosed with some form of cancer. When cancer was
discovered in the days of the Ancient Egyptians, the only form of treatment was to remove the tumor.
While the Egyptians thought this was a valid form of treatment, there was no cure for the disease. As
the years progressed and the world s knowledge in the medical field continued to expand a cure could
not be found. Many different forms of treatments were tested, and while some proved to be effective
there was way of curing the patient for good, of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many of them, scared of how their bodies will react to the treatments today, but also relieved that their
doctors were able to find the disease and start treatments. These patients know that when they are
finished with their treatments and the cancer is gone that they will be cancer free but not cured.
Knowing that even though they might be cancer free when the treatments are finished, there is still the
possibility that the cancer can return, making it very hard for some of these patients to keep going to
their treatment appointments. Without a known cure for cancer, these patients live with the fear that
one day they could wake up and their cancer will be back and frequently when this happens, the
cancer returns in a form that is even worse than the first time. Everyone in the world has the
possibility of being diagnosed with a form of cancer, however the average person doesn t always think
about this fear. People who have already been diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life, live
with this fear every

Tony Allison
From a young age, Tony Allison was exposed to experiences that initiated his interest in the evolution
of humans, especially on how human history could be traced through genes. Born and raised in Kenya,
Tony Allison was exposed to great opportunities such as going on trips for bird observations and
preparations with a family friend, and the chance to visit digs and learn from anthropologist Louis
Leakey. It was on his archaeological trips that Tony s curiosity on human origins sparked. At the age
of ten, Tony contracted malaria and although this was a bad issue, it was part of Tony s career choice.
This situation, being treated by a doctor, and noticing malaria disease spread in parts of Africa,
influenced Tony s decision to attend medical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This wasn t Tony s last experiment. For a more accurate result, Tony went on a trip which confirmed
his theory. Subsequently, Tony published a series of articles (1954) making malaria part of natural
selection. Tony s interest and persistence on this topic was shown as he still wanted to answer
questions he came up with after his theory. Although he couldn t investigate further whether
populations inherited the sickle cell trait independently, Tony did find answers on the advantage of the
sickle cell gene in heterozygotes. Tony met people thorughout his life who were knowledgeable and
experts at their particular subject and in some way, left an impact on his career. People such as Linus
Pauling who won two Nobel prize and Nobel peace prize, helped him during his experiment of finding
the defect in HbS, or heterozygous sickle cell traits. After years of long days spent testing his theory,
Tony was rewarded with an invitation to show his discovery at the Cold Spring Harbor Symposium in
1954. All in all, Tony s discovery of sickle cell linked to malaria has impacted notions of evolution
and mutations, and human

Social Inequality In Medical Care
Medicine has a problem and it goes along with social inequality. As I write this blog I find myself in
distraught at the thought that at this very moment an individual is fighting a treatable condition alone,
without appropriate medical care. Some months ago I read an article published in The Guardian titled
* America s poorest border town: no immigration papers no American Dream. * In short, the article
discusses the hardships endured by the residents of one of many small communities known as las
colonias near the border town of McAllen, Texas. McAllen calls itself the Square Dance Capital of the
World, the streets are adorned by majestic palm trees magnified in grace by the beautiful south Texas
sunset, but just seven miles east from McAllen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. A Report On The Seals It was 0400 at the staging area, the SEALs had shown up in four fully outfitted DPV s (Desert Patrol Vehicles Off road vehicles used for combat). Captain O Hara wondered where the hell they had been keeping those. The plan was that the SEALs would for the most part move hard and fast to the museum and secure it, then hold it until the much larger Marine follow on force arrived. The Marine follow on force consisted of the entire Marine Company; they had pulled, temporarily, the Marine platoon from the school to help with this operation. Through the education and analyzation of the effects, the people of Earth can develop preventative and preparatory measures to reduce conflict. Preventative being methods of preventing conflict from occurring at all, and preparatory being measures to prepare for conflict so that little harm occurs. All that has to be done is the analyzation of the past. In the Barbary Wars, America was targeted due it its unprotected state. This reflects onto how Somalia was taken advantaged of due to its weakened government. This can then be translated into how if a nation appears weak, another nation will try to undermine it. From this, a cycle forms, if the Somali pirates continue to bully other nations, the other nations will then fight back like America did against Tripoli, and in the end demonstrate their power. This helps lead into the explanation for the decline of Somali Piracy since 2012. In preparing for conflict it is important to recognize the signs of conflict. Such as repressed people, which mostly occurs as a result of a monarchy or those who do not have their opinions heard. Hence, America in the revolution war declaring its independence and America in the Barbary War demonstrating its strength and will to not be terrorized again. Once the signs are recognizing preventative measures can be taken to reduce the conflict or overall stop it at its source. Such as turning from a rule of monarchy into one of democracy where people will have their voices heard and acknowledge. On the other hand intrapreneur is the individual who works under the entrepreneur as an employee. Though the intrapreneur is given the authority of creating new product, he does not faces any risk of failure of generating revenue and profit by those products. According to a research body entrepreneur bears all risk of a business because he collects necessary resources or capital from various sources and also gives guarantees to repay whereas the intrapreneur does not bears any risk because he does not have any responsibility to raise fianace and to repay those (Clarysse and Kiefer, 2011). • 6. Summary Of Survival In Auschwitz By Primo Levi Title One of the natural instincts of intelligent beings is in the case of fear to fight, or to run away; however, in some cases like in the concentration camps in Germany during World War II it is hard to do either of those two natural responses. This issue, with not being able to enact on this natural instinct because of the restriction of being closely controlled, is related to Primo Levi in his autobiography Survival in Auschwitz he was a captured Italian Jew who was able to survive Auschwitz because of how he internally thought with himself to stay alive. The Holocaust is one of the most researched events during World War II; and Levi is one of the, relatively, few who survived, and went on to be able to tell his story. In Survival in Auschwitz Levi detailed the horrible conditions the soldiers lived and worked in as well as the malnutrition he experienced. Levi also detailed his struggle to stay human which, along with climbing up the social ranks, helped him survive; As a result of these struggles Levi seems to believe there is at least a slight lesson to learn from his survival. During World War II, if a person was labeled as a Jew, whether they were actively practicing or not, and was captured then sent to a concentration camp life was absolutely brutal. Unless you were in Ka Be, the concentration camp version of an infirmary, there were hardly any sanitary places. Even the bathroom which should be clean and at least have clean running water was disgusting; as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis of The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield Essay Analysis of The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield tells the story of a man who tries to learn and understand the nine key insights into life itself in an ancient manuscript that has been discovered in Peru. It predicts a massive spiritual transformation of society in the late twentieth century. We will finally grasp the secrets of the universe, the mysteries of existence, and the meaning of life. The real meaning and purpose of life will not be found in religion or in material wealth, but rather in things like auras. He comes across the insights in numerical order since that is how one must understand them. Overcoming an initial skepticism, the narrator s understanding grows with each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The truth is not outside ourselves but exists in us; we only have to learn to recognize and follow it. If indeed this is truth, then there are no absolutes. Your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth. No one can judge another s inner experience of truth; therefore, there can be no right or wrong. Yet the book implies there are wrong ways of thinking when it is refers to the traditional beliefs that one must reject in order to understand the insights. Apparently, some truths are truer than others. The next several insights are based on the belief that the universe is comprised of pure energy that is malleable to human intention and expectation (p.42). Later, the narrator states, I perceived everything to be somehow part of me and he realizes his real body is actually the universe (p.98). Connecting to this energy field is essential to spiritual development since this energy is life, love and God. The narrator is advised that love exists when one is connected to the energy in the universe, which, of course, is the energy of God, (p.153). The narrator learns how to see energy fields around plants and people. The story builds as the narrator encounters each insight that leads him into a state where he is able to understand the next insight. The culmination is a realization that spiritual evolvement is moving one s energy into a higher vibration. Matter is the densest form of energy and therefore less evolved. As one evolves and the energy vibrations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Nuclear Energy And Its Effects 1. Background Nuclear energy can be produced by fission, by splitting a nucleus into smaller products, (precisely equal parts). These products are equal to half of the original mass. In the process of nuclear fission, energy and neutrons will be emitted. Along with the emission of neutrons, also during the process of fission, a large amount of a product s energy is released. Every day we are surrounded by so much radiation however, only some radiation can be harmful to us. Radiation such as microwaves, radio waves, and infrared are classes as non ionizing and are not a threat to humans. Radiation classed as Ionizing radiation is most definitely harmful to us because it has the capability of removing electrons from other atoms and then ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They also have a less powerful ionizing rate compared to alpha particles. Gamma rays are energy, also known as electromagnetic radiation. They have no charge or mass. They move through the air extremely quickly (at the speed of light) and to ionize them, they need to directly hit the nucleus of an atom. This suggests that gamma rays have a very low ionizing rate and can travel much t=further through the air compared to alpha and beta particles. Nuclear fuelled power plants are very similar to fossil fuelled power pants, in which they both turn water into steam in order to control the turbine generators that produce energy; the only difference is the source of heat. At nuclear power plants, a nuclear reactor produces and controls the amount of energy that is released when atoms of Uranium split, which is called fission. The heat that is used to make this steam is created by this form of fission. Uranium fuelled nuclear power plants are a clean and efficient way of boiling water to produce the steam that is used to operate the turbine generators within the power plant. Figure 1 shows the equation for the nuclear fission of uranium 235. 2. Yes, if no one screws up you made it to the finish line of a happily ever after . Love is such a crazy thing, one day is alive and growing and the next is fading until it completely dies. Everyone will have their own view on love, but love is vague, for one knows about today but not about tomorrow. In her critique of love, Against Love, Laura Kipnis offers a judgmental version of what constitutes real love . She questions whether we truly desire love, or rather, are conditioned to. She asserts that social forms accustomed us to pursue a love life so that we are entertained and wanted. But everyone has a different opinion on the matter. In his short story, What We Talk about When We Talk about Love, Raymond Carver tells the story of four different individuals in which he explores the perceptions of love by referring to their beliefs and experiences. One of the four characters, Mel, seems to have an unclear perspective on love himself as he questions his love life and asserts that everyone is entitled to look for love when is missing. If Mel was to have a conversation with Kipnis they would agree and disagree on certain ideas, for they both are able to understand the complexity of the matter. • 14. Continuous Auditing Essay Continuous Auditing (CA hereafter) is a representative of the progressively automated world of auditing, and it is a trend of auditing in the information explosion era. Machine Learning can help to implement CA to improve companies decision making and risk management. 1) Machine Learning and audit analytics fits the original motivation of CA The Auditing Concepts Committee (American Accounting Association [AAA] 1972) defined auditing as a systematic process of objectively obtaining and evaluating evidence regarding assertions about economic actions and events to ascertain the degree of correspondence between those assertions and established criteria and communicating the results to interested users. This definition clearly shows that the focus of auditing is verification of assertions made by managements, including the proposed financial reports (Alles et al. 2004). Continuous auditing (CA) broadens this concept by proposing timelier assurance, generally with less aggregated (or transactional) data than traditional auditing. Vasarhelyi and Halper (1991) first introduced the concept of continuous auditing when they developed a monitoring tool in an online IT environment. Its rationale is to provide more timely assurance by continuously monitoring a company s entire transactional data. As they asserted, CA is designed to measure and monitor large systems, drawing key metrics and analytics into a workstation environment. This approach, reflecting the evolution of ... A gigantic time capsule, illustrating the everyday life of ancient Romans, has captured the last moments of at least two thousand people. Pompeii had remained mostly untouched up until 1594 when building an aqueduct, upon uncovering the ashes that worked as a preservative, they found the ruins of a once great town. Casts of people showed their dying moments, gold and precious household items littered the streets. (Staff, 2010) From the ruins of the city, it is reasonable to assume that the rest of Roman society was much the same as Pompeii was at the time of the eruption. Just In Time (JIT) is a management philosophy which implements systems or processes which aims to maximise return of investment by maximising production efficiency, improving product quality, reducing manufacturing and logistical costs, and the elimination of waste. JIT, as the name implies, also means bringing the right materials at the right place at the right time. Items must arrive as and when they are needed, neither earlier nor later, but just in time . In its strictest sense, inventory is considered a waste in JIT. In logistics, JIT aims to eliminate waste of all forms; be it time, resources or materials. Also, the computers delivered were customized according to different customer requirements, without compromising on quality. With JIT, production levels can be easily adjusted to meet demand. Integrated supplier and distributor networks were instrumental in the success of Dell Computers. Without these relationships, Dell would not have been able to support a 50+% growth rate for 3 consecutive years that lead to $12 billion in annual sales by 1997. (Fillard, Frahm, Mercer Scott, n.d.) Although the JIT system managed to revolutionise numerous companies in the way they run their logistics, it is not all a bed of roses for some companies. Since JIT does away with supply inventory, companies are sometimes forced to be over dependent on their JIT suppliers. Sometimes they are at their suppliers mercy. Examples of this can be found at Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Ford faced a problem with one of its suppliers which forced them to shut down six plants which cost them tens of millions of dollars. The supply company for General Motors had a strike, and supplies could not be delivered. Two thirds of their plants had to shut down. This cost GM about $600 million in profits in 1996. (Glenn, T. 2001) For JIT to be efficiently implemented, it is vital for companies to have the right partner suppliers which share the same JIT commitment and drive. Toyota ... One example Smith gives of an ideology in Heart of Darkness is the ideology of gender or empire, written in the words feminine or savage. Johanna Smith gives many examples of Marlow s contradictions that his ideological discourse of empire and gender work to mystify. In Heart of Darkness the women are often silenced. Smith points out the example of the laundress: the company s chief accountant insists that she had to be taught to launder his clothes properly and that she had a strong disliking for the job. But you never truly hear her side of the story; Smith suggests Marlow s silencing of the laundress shows Marlow s authority as the masculine narrator of his story, to conceal not only her story but also those of the other silent women in Heart of Darkness (Smith 193). When a spectator is watching a ball game, either baseball or softball, both games may appear to use the same equipment in their games. The subtle differences in each piece of equipment are what make the two sports unlike each other. When someone is asked what items are needed for baseball and softball, the most common responses are usually a bat, a ball, and a glove. What some people may not take into account, are the often unnoticed detail of each of these items that make them different for each sport. For example: the bat. Most commonly made of wood or aluminum, the Major League Baseball (MLB) are only permitted to use wood bats with a length no more than 42 . However, in professional softball leagues, the players can use bats of any material while staying within the regulations of length (34 ), width (2.4 ), and mass (38 oz.). The next minor oversight is the ball. Although most people know that the softball is larger in size, a few key details separate the two. In baseball, they use a ball that is 9 in circumferance, light weight, and is always white in color. • 40. Surface Segregation And Formation Of Silver Nanoparticles... Surface Segregation and Formation of Silver Nanoparticles Created In situ in Polyvinyl alcohol Films. 1 Introduction. Preparation, characterization, and physical properties of a nanostructured materials of silver (nanoparticles and nanocomposites) have been the subject of various researcher in many scientific laboratories during the past years for many studies and it has been also established that size, stability, color, shape, and properties depend on the method of preparation (radiation, photochemical, electrochemical, and chemical) as well as experimental factors such as [reactants], [stabilizer and/or capping agents], temperature, order of mixing of reactants, presence of stabilizers and capping agents and even on the addition rate of reducing agents [1 12]. The properties of such nanocomposites can further be improved through various treatments like, annealing, UV irradiation and Gamma irradiation is one of the extensively used tools to alter the structural, optical properties [13, 14], Many of reports were used gamma irradiation to synthesis the Ag nanoparticles in PVA [15,16], and the other literature were prepared Ag PVA nanocomposite films and then irradiated with gamma at doses (25, 50, 75, 100 KGy) [17]. According to this literature the absorption peak intensity at 427 nm for silver nanoparticles is increased with increasing the gamma doses, until the higher doses 100 KGy, its decrease and the reason for this behaviour at higher doses the ... Despite the opportunities along with China s WTO entry and opening up, doing business in China remains very challenging at the operational level for MNCs. Regulatory Risks Managing the regulatory environment remains a real issue for foreign firms operating in China. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These issues affect all companies, but present the most serious challenge to small foreign firms that are new to China and lack international and country specific experience. Larger firms are coming up with strategies to address these issues, if not resolve them. Regulatory Risks Overview During the last few years much of the economy has been deregulated, a process that was well under way before December 2001, the date of China s accession to the WTO. During the 1990s almost all of the former industrial ministries and state commissions were abolished, cutting the number of institutions and officials at the centre looking to be involved in business affairs. Some old school planning apparatchiks have no doubt survived but there are fewer options for them to slake their thirst for control. Many state owned enterprises have been sold off and a large proportion of those that remain have lost market share to private domestic firms and foreign invested enterprises (FIEs). China s thicket of regulations has been cut back and the rules that remain have gradually become more institutionalized. The picture that characterized much of the 1980s and 1990s everyone from multinational managers to Chinese officials groping their way forward, often making things up as they went along is no longer representative of the business environment. Foreign firms in different sectors have greater understanding of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this, he demonstrated that in politics, Julius Caesar was indeed a great ‘event making man. During Caesar s famous military career, Caesar showed incredible determination and ingenuity when facing any opponent. He won battles under impossible odds, and shocked and delighted Romans with his victories wherever he went. When others doubted him, he proved them wrong. Doubt would oftentimes even encourage him, and he scoffed at those who fought against him. He was by no means an ordinary military leader. Of particular note was the combination of his bravery, his ingenuity, and perhaps most important, his determination. Some may call it stupidity or ignorance, yet Caesar s unwillingness to lose would win him many famous and prestigious battles. His battles in Gaul and in Britain brought substantial glory to his name, and gained considerable land for the Roman Empire which he would soon rule. For nine years he fought campaigns in all of Britain, and after nine long years he had brought all of Britain into the Roman province. There were more frequent and longer celebrations in Rome for his victories than for any former general. Caesar was not only ingenious in his victories of these campaigns, but he also saw their significance elsewhere. They added immense sums to his already substantial wealth, in the form of annual revenues from annexed lands. They also increased his fame and popularity, and he was revered almost as a god. Born and raised in Kenya, Tony Allison was exposed to great opportunities such as going on trips for bird observations and preparations with a family friend, and the chance to visit digs and learn from anthropologist Louis Leakey. It was on his archaeological trips that Tony s curiosity on human origins sparked. At the age of ten, Tony contracted malaria and although this was a bad issue, it was part of Tony s career choice.
