Crafting an essay on the subject of "Pay People To Write Essays" can be a complex task, laden
with ethical considerations, academic implications, and a myriad of perspectives. The inherent
challenge lies in navigating the fine line between exploring the practical aspects of outsourcing

inevitably arise. The blurred boundaries between assistance and academic dishonesty demand
careful consideration and analysis.
Expressing the difficulty in writing about this topic stems from the need to maintain a balanced

2. The Plan And Implementation Of The Wind Turbine Project
II.The Plan
Since it is proved that Shishalh Nation has an intention in the development of
sustainable energy but with considering existing competitors in the energy market,
we need to have a deep and better conditions for the renewable energy project to
Shishalh First Nation.
A.Characteristics of the negotiators
First of all, we have to select who is going to contact and deal with Shishalh First
Nation in a good faith. For example:
Open mind: a negotiator should be an open mind to accept and understand the
cultural and personality differences.
Well thought out: a negotiator should be well thought out for explaining about the
plans and implementation of the wind turbine and how it benefits for them.
Persuasive: a negotiator always has to have a persuasive argument to deal with First
Nation.
Knowledgeable: a negotiator has to fully understand about the project, detail statistics
and data about the wind turbine project, and expert on geography and location of
Shishalh territory.
Patience: a negotiator always has to be patient about opponent s response and give a
reasonable time to consider the plan.
Respectful: a negotiator should respect their meeting with us since aboriginal people
want to be respected from government and business sectors.
B.Radio advertisement
Before we directly approach them to introduce the wind turbine project, we can use
radio advertisement to get first nation s attention and reminds them over and over

3. Swamp Thing Is A Horror
Just a few thoughts regarding the passing of filmmaker Wes Craven, who passed
away on Sunday.
I can never claim to me a horror genre aficionado, but as a fan of cinema, it would
be remiss of me to not recognize Craven s contribution an often dismissed genre.
While for many, horror may not qualify as high cinematic art, it should be
recognized that at its best, it s able to frighten audiences and leave a lasting
impression. And that he did in creating one of the most terrifying screen characters
Freddy Krueger a figure that is literally the stuff of (my) nightmares.
Here are a couple of additional titles that I quite enjoyed:
Swamp Thing (1982): Not technically a horror film, more sci fi; still, it provided its
own form of late night entertainment.

landline telephone services in certain areas of the country. Earlier this year Verizon
bought out its partner in Verizon Wireless, Vodafone Group plc (Nasdaq: VOD)

Two key areas for improvement are revenue, through customer base and equipment
sales increases, and margin improvements. Private labeling, which Verizon has
attempted before with the cable television industry (Bode, 2013), is one key area
that Verizon s competitors excel (Sprint , 2014), but Verizon is not presently
utilizing. Additionally, expansion of the Edge program, whereby customers can
acquire a new smart phone every year will improve customer retention and growth
and improve margins, since customers pay full price for the equipment instead of
deply discounted or free phones. The combination of revenue increases and margin
improvement is projected to increase the bottom line by 17 percent (Aooendix
5. Essay On Academic Achievement
Throughout my academic career, it has always been my mission to perform at my
best ability. I did this not only for myself, but also for my family and friends who
put their faith in my capacity to achieve success. It was my family that raised me to
be family oriented and to give my spare time to those that may need my help. By
applying for the Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society, I am continuing to strive for the
highest level of excellence possible in academics and service to the community.
Through my grades and persistence, I have proven that academic excellence is a
pivotal part of my education. I believe that I have achieved outstanding academic
achievement through my ongoing evolution as a student, my motivation to better
myself, and my desire for success. From freshman year to junior year, I have
evolved and changed in order to learn more effectively and perform better inside
and outside of the classroom. The dynamics of college classes are far different
from what I had experienced in high school. This required me to adapt to the higher
level of thinking that was expected from me. Since freshman year of college, I have
actively sought out new study methods in order to understand classroom material. I
realized that simply memorizing the material for one test would not be beneficial to
me in my future career of nursing, so I began to actively understand the material.
Adapting to the higher level of education I have received in college has helped me

6. Advantages Of Double Shower Heads
Double shower heads have revolutionized how people shower today. A double
shower head is basically a shower that has two heads, allowing water to flow
separately from the two shower heads at the same time. It is also known as a dual
shower head. The shower can allow two people to take shower simultaneously hence
convenient for couples. It also allows more water to flow as compared to the single
showerhead. Some double shower heads combine both a fixed and a handheld
shower head. This allows one to choose which shower to use from the two to use
hence giving options. Different manufacturers have come up with double shower
heads in order to exploit the available market. If you want to have a nice shower,

7. Developing Entrepreneurial Intention Among Students As...
Developing entrepreneurial intention among students as tool for economic
development Make in India calls for robust growth of all the sectors of the economy,
more so of the manufacturing sector. Entrepreneurial innovations and initiatives,
creation of new jobs and higher economic growth are becoming concern for the
society, government and public administration of the country. The creation of
businesses is one of the major interventions that lead to solution to unemployment
problem (White and Reynolds, 1996), the economic and regional development
(Reynolds et. al, 2002) and promotion of innovation (Hisrich and Peters, 1989).
Therefore, in order to focus economic development program to create new business,
promoting entrepreneurial intent among the people is to be a prerequisite. Indian
government is allowing MNCs to establish their business in India to optimally utilize
national resources. This will check the tendency of indigenous companies to focus
only on domestic market and make them to become competitive so that they may also
transform into MNCs. However, without having core competences, initiative and
intent, how Indigenous business may become competitive. In the post liberalized era,
entrepreneurship became an important field of research. Furthermore, it has been
acknowledged that youth play an important role in designing the policies for
entrepreneurship to promote the creation of business. The cultural environment and

8. Positive Effects Of Attitude
Effects of Attitude
Distance, time, money, tiredness and several other things in life are just a question of
one s attitude. Context and situations decide the attitude.
If a person has to travel say 15 to 20 miles per day to his workplace, he will
definitely be cribbing. On the other hand, if the remuneration is going to be hefty he
will not mind travelling the same distance. The distance has not changed, but his
attitude towards remuneration makes this passable.
One often complains that he does not have time for even the small things in life. Just
an introspection shall reveal that it is an excuse one gives to oneself. A personwho
does not have time for a courtesy call to a related person will definitely be able to
squeeze in time to spend time with his friend in spite of any tight schedule. After a
whole day of work, spending hours at the gym seem alright, but helping out your
mother or spouse at home may seem a burden or vice versa. Or else if a friend calls

Perceptions of Attitude are more important and can change during periods of Natural
disasters. During a recent flood havoc in a major city in India, the people s attitude
was so positive that they were able to render all assistance to those affected without
any inhibitions of class, creed, rich, poor, etc.
People may throw stones at your path. It is your attitude with which you face the
hurdle, that will lead to a wall or a bridge . Remember your attitude is the architect
of your life.
Success requires more than talent. While talent and knowledge are essential, the key
that unlocks them both is your state of mind. Being positive makes you more
dependable. When you are positive you will find that you instinctively respect others,
and are therefore more considerate.

The Man Who Left His Glass Slipper in the Ring Cinderella Man was a movie
based on a true story during The Great Depression. The Great Depression began
when the stock market crashed in October of 1929. During this time people lost
their jobs, homes, families, and their basic way of living. Banks collapsed, and the
drought killed most of the crops. In the film the setting is New York about four
years after the Depression set in. James J. Braddock gets a call to adventure when
he realizes that he will not be able to provide for his family without a job. Jim
doesn t have a boxing job because he lost his license after breaking his wrist several
times and started to lose matches. The director shows many items that Jim lost
after the depression set in. Since Jim is without a boxing job he attempts to get a
job at the dock. This is an example of Crossing the First Threshold, because Jim has a

under the Ultimate Boon category. Now that Jim has his license he can now win

10. Summary Of The Bhagavad Gita
The Bhagavad Gita, which means the song of the lord, is a part of the
Mahabharata. It is a story about the discourse between Arjuna, a prince, and Lord
Krishna, who is an incarnation of the highest of all divinity, creator of the entire
universe. In the book, Arjuna is confused about his duty, dharma, to the law of an
elite warrior and kinship. It is Krishna who helps guide and encourage Arjuna to
follow his true path, svadharma. The book discusses three broad ways to live:
devotion to god (bhakti), karma, and jnana yogawhich is practice and discipline. The
Bhagavad Gitaadapts and reformulates many ideas of soul, karma, and ritual from
Vedic sacrifice, the Upanishads, and Buddhism. These three concepts are the major
themes and are all interrelated with one another.
The Bhagavad Gita adopts and adapts the concept of karma from Buddhism, the
Upanishads and Vedic sacrifice. The concept of karma means action. In Vedic
sacrifice and the Upanishads, karma is associated with a ritual action. It was
believed that by having rituals being performed by saints on their behalf, one could
improve the quality of their rebirth in the next life. The sacrificer would ask the gods
for strength, wealth, children, and immortality. In the Upanishads, karma is also
associated to the ideas of atman, self soul, and brahman, soul. The purpose of jnana
yoga is to achieve the Upanishads core teachings of the equivalence of the atman and
the brahman. The Buddha changed the concept of karma
11. Racism In Midnight Without A Moon By Linda Williams
Jackson
Racism; a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races
determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one s
own race is superior and has the right to rule others. In the historical fiction novel,
Midnight Without a Moon, by Linda Williams Jackson, the author shows how
horribly blacks were treated when they tried to vote. The main character, Rose Lee
Carter, battles with understanding why blacks were facing such repercussions while
trying to fight for their rights. Levi Jackson, Reverend George W. Lee, and Lamar
Smith face several acts of racism while trying to vote, and because of this, they are
brutally murdered. However, the reader is left wondering if the punishments the
characters received actually occurred in real life. In Midnight Without a Moon, the
author uses history by including key details to emphasize how far whites were
willing to go in order to ensure that blacks wouldn t be allowed to vote, while at times
altering it to highlight the intense feelings Rose has over the situation.
In the novel, Midnight Without a Moon, thirteen year old Rose Lee Carter struggles
with racism in her town of Stillwater, Mississippi. During this time period, being
considered African American was a disadvantage in society because you weren t
given the same respect as white people. This was a challenge, because it violated basic
human rights, especially being allowed to vote. As a result of this, Rose encounters

12. The Paradoxes Of Abrahamic Religions
In the beginning, God said let there be Abrahamic religions. And it was so. Ancient
Israelites carried many traditions molded by the conditions in which they found
themselves. Monotheism was a very different ideology at this time in world history
and lead to cultural clashes between the Israelites and other regional powers. Their
soteriology and religious practices eventually became the foundations on which
modern Christianitystands. However, time causes great change in many things and
Christianity is no exception. With these theological and fundamental changes
arose a number of paradoxes. It is easy to just accept the discourse of a religion, but
when one or a group of people start to truly analyze the principles of a faith, many
times conflicts arise in truly knowing what cannot be know. What is life like after
ones death. Metaphysical idea with really not evidence to support them. It is only
with the insights and work of theologians and writers like Dionysus, Origen,
Augustine and Dante that these paradoxes were further analyzed and resolved. In
an ancient world embedded in polytheism, the views of the ancient Israelites was
arguably a radical one for the time. This radicalism in a modern view seems
practical and completely normal, yet during the time of the ancient Jewish people
this factor brought with it a great deal of hardship. The cosmos of the semitic world
world was that of heaven above, the earth in the middle, and the netherworld below

13. The Importance Of A Virtuous Way Of Thinking
Introduction Why is there an importance to character in the criminal justice field?
We have looked at many theorist s ways of thinking, how one should act or how
one ought to act. Take the textbook for example, to help someone in need (Banks,
2017). One of the first way of thinking is the utilitarian way, the utilitarian stresses
that the fact of consequences of helping will maximize well being of all (Banks,
2017). In contrast. the deontologist will stress the moral rule (Banks, 2017).
Finally, we will consider the virtuous way of thinking. Many philosopher state, this
is the third way of thinking. The idea of virtuous states was thought up by the
Greek philosopher Aristotle. A virtuous ethicist emphasizes a charitable or
benevolent character (Banks, 2017). How to come to this decision, three questions
will be answered, the first how does one become a virtuous person? The second is
decision making compared to the other approaches? Finally, the criticism of virtue
from Aristotle, what are they? Question One How does one become a virtuous
person? It sounds simple to just do the right thing, to be honest. As Aristotle stated
by abstaining from pleasure we become self controlled, and once we are best able
to abstain from pleasure (Banks, 2017). The textbook gives a great example of what
Aristotle s thoughts were on becoming a virtuous person. It is about honesty/ bravery
in a person. A person must be honest to a point which indicts that they are a brave
person who is

why being rich is nice is that you can help the people in need. According to

India
Hyderabad COP11 and Post COP11
The main point of discussion in the Eleventh Conference of Parties held in
Hyderabad, India was the implementation of the Aichi Targets as well updating the
national strategies and action plans, also to discuss the financial mechanisms required
to implement these targets.
The opening statement given by Ms. Jayanthi Natarajan, Minister of Environment and
Forests of GoI and the President of the COP11 was, Biodiversity, the variety of life
on earth, was vital to social and economic development and fundamental to humanity
s survival. The goods and services provided by biodiversity yielded both global and
local benefits, especially in countries like India where biodiversity was directly linked
with providing livelihoods and improving the socio economic conditions of millions
of people, thereby contributing to sustainable development and poverty alleviation.
The continuing loss of biodiversity, largely as a result of human activities, should
therefore be a matter of concern to all. Pursuing business as usual would be a grave
error and would testify to an ignorance or arrogance that humans might not even live
to regret. The third edition of the Global Biodiversity Outlook indicated that, if
current trends in biodiversity loss continued, they would result in a catastrophic
reduction in essential ecosystem services. It also predicted that action taken over the
coming two decades would determine whether the environmental conditions on which

While scrolling on EPSN, which stands for Entertainment and Sports

the main page, I could not help but notice that there were only two videos
pertaining to females in sports, which were Mixed Martial Artist Ronda Rousey,
who is recovering from a fight and the Connecticut Huskies basketball team, who
are currently ranked one in the NCAA Women s Basketball Ranking. There is a
lack of spotlight on women athletes in the media pertaining to their skills or just
acknowledging that women have an existence in sports, whether it s televised or
on social media. Diana Nyad, Michael A. Messner, and Cheryl Cooky research led
them to finding that when it comes to broadcasting women do not receive as much
coverage as men (2010:69). As of 2015, women receive less than one percent of
coverage on ESPN s SportsCenter and Fox Sports 1 s Fox Sports Live (Billings and

Cooky et al. (2015: 6), provides the figure above illustrating how the coverage of

the U.S women s soccer team is seen as better than the men s team; however, they

17. Messier 13 Experience
The first factor my group took into consideration when taking our photographs of
Messier 13 was that it is a deep sky object, which means that it is far away and dim.
This meant that our photos needed to be taken with high ISO and high exposure.
Specifically, this meant we needed to follow the first golden rule which is that our
first photo should be taken with a thirty second exposure and the highest ISO the
camera had. Before we actually took the photograph, we had to ensure that the
camera was centered, focused and zoomed on the star provided to us by Dr. Mario
De Leo Winkler. The procedure for this is to first center the star, focus it, zoom in
once and then repeat these steps twice more, except on the last round of steps instead

We agreed upon this number because it is around twenty five, which is a perfect
square number that the program we used to process them needs a perfect square
amount of images to process. We figured that if a few photographs did not turn out
well, we could use the two extra that we took. When we were finished with our
astronomical photos, we moved on to taking our flat images . These flat images
are taken of a white computer screen with the camera moved from manual mode to
AV, which decided exposure time for us, and with the ISO, focus, and amount of
photos taken remaining constant. Flat images are meant to correct for any foreign
objects trapped within the camera, fo dust, that may show up in our final images.
This is another point in our session where we ran into trouble because when Dr.
Mario De Leo Winkler asked us about what stays the same when taking flat images,
we forgot to mention that the amount of images taken stays the same. The last thing
we had to do was take the dark images which is done by taking photographs in
manual mode with the same exposure, ISO, and focus as our astronomical

Slumming It
In order for the government to accommodate for the unprecedented population boom
during the Industrial Revolution that took place in 19th century Britain, millions of
people were shoved in cramped and hastily built compartments known as slums,
lacking sanitation and basic necessities. Unfortunately these conditions are prevalent
in modern day Mumbai, where massive amounts of people migrate to the city s slums
in search of jobs and opportunities. The Mumbai government has posed inefficient
solutions to the issue of overpopulation, all of which result in the demolition of the
residents homes without due compensation. What the people need is a solution that

As Mumbai boomed on the back of its port and textile mills, poor peasants flowed
in from the land in search of job opportunities to provide a roof over their head

businesses was not only a source of income, but also an attractive force that drew
them to the slums. As more people came to live in these slums, the amount of space
diminished. In a 2010 census, it was found that there were roughly a million people
per square in a slum called Dharavi (Beddoes). As the population increased, the
living conditions became a lot worse as now instead of flowers and trees lining the

20. The Influence of George Frideric Handel on Music
Introduction
Over time, the world has seen many outstanding musicians, and so much fantastic
music. Each highly remembered composer or musician changed the way we think
and see the world. They give us new ideas, and music is a wonderful way to convey
moods and emotions. Each also slightly changed music itself. Handel was one of the
greatest of these people. He was a superior composer who largely influenced and
expanded music.
Background
George Frideric Handel was born in Germany, but found his future in England as a

England loved Handel dearly. He was famous all over. He wrote different genres,
and for many occasions, so many people were familiar with him, one way or another.
The musical history of England is greatly dependent on Handel. He was, undoubtedly,
one of their most honored composers.
To George Frederik Handel we own our prestige as a musical nation; to his
inimitable genius and mighty intellect we are indebted ... [Handel s operas] have
served as a model for the formation of our national style; his individual
idiosyncrasies have become the accepted formulae of sacred musical utterance, and
the purity of his themes and major proportions of his style have given at once the

fantastic composers after him. Handel notably impacted the writings of future
composers. Langlois evaluates Handel s influence in many of Mozart s pieces.
These are in pieces such as The Solemn Vespers, or C Minor Mass. He also tells of
Handel s influence on Beethoven. There can be found a certain Handelian influence
in Beethoven s music. Many of Beethoven s grand themes sound as if they could

21. Usefulness and Reliability of Information Provided By...
An ongoing concern in financial reporting is the usefulness and reliability of
information provided by corporations. The financial accounting standard board
defines usefulness as the information that is useful for the users in decision making
(FASB, 2011). Reliability is inferred when the information is verified, objective, and
can be relied on. Therefore, Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 157
standardizes the valuationand disclosure of fair valuefor assets and liabilities in order
to achieve both usefulness and reliability. The reasoning for the hierarchy was due to
the inconsistency in previous definitions and guidance (FASB, 1992).
Introduction to Fair Value Hierarchy
To begin, SFAS defines fair value as the value... Show more content on

SFAS Relating to the Conceptual Framework
The framework for measuring fair value is easy to understand and follow, and
relates to the conceptual framework. As stated earlier the preferred measure of fair
value is the market approach, because the prices are observable. For this reason the
standard recognizes the need for relevant, reliable, and comparable information in
order for users to make better decisions about the current financial position of a
company. Financial readers are aware of the valuing measurement used to calculate
the fair value, whether the measurement were derived from an observable or
unobservable input. The measurement establishes the existence of reliable and
relevance qualitative factors that make accounting information useful for decision
making (Barbera, 2007). If it were observable then the value derived can be
researched and verified. However, if it were unobservable then the user must read the
disclosures which will be discussed later in the research paper, and determine the
reliability of the internally generated measurement. In return it can be understood that
the level 1 inputs are more reliable and relevant than the other two levels.
In addition, the fair value hierarchy also enhances the comparability and consistency
of information among companies due to following practices: all companies must

Contrast the moral and responsible behavior of the Israelites between Judges 16 19

Even though God s people are unfaithful to him, he would still be faithful to them.
In the book of Judges there are twelve individuals who are considered saviors. They
save their own tribes or a number of tribes from these invaders or tribes that were not
intended to be in control of Canaan. However, the Israelites allowed them to control
those sections of Canaan. Those that delivered the Israelites were called Judges,
meaning they delivered the Israelites from their oppressors. In Judges Chapter 16,

A group of homosexual men require the man to come with them in order to have
sexual relations with him; however, the concubine is offered up instead. The men
then proceed to rape the concubine and her dead body is placed upon the doorstep.
Her husband then dismembers her body and sends her parts all over Israel in order
to exonerate himself and his sin. Therefore the Gibeahans in relation to the
primary commission were found not be subduing their land fairly due to sexual
perversion, sexual ethics, stealing, idolatry and murder. Because Israel had no
king, everybody did what they considered to be right in their own eyes. Israelites

whatever they believe based upon not having a king. Ruth expresses an example
of faithfulness through her immigration. Ruth is originally from Moab and marries
Noami s son who eventually dies. One daughter in law remained in Moab while
Ruth decides to return to Israel with Naomi and become a part of the Israel nation.

24. Stalemate In Ww1
The land war in Europe had become a destructive beast which incessantly consumed
supplies, equipment, and soldiers at massive rates. The British had established a
naval blockade on Germany directly upon the outbreak of war in August 1914. The
war on land quickly spread to the sea, with the first major battle on the water
occurring on August 28, 1914, in a corner of the North Sea known as Helgoland
Bight. This battle resulted in an early German defeat at sea which intimidated Kaiser
Wilhelm II. The hesitation of the German naval forces contributed further to
stalemate. The British had asserted their dominance in traditional naval warfare. But
it did not last once the German new technologies came into play. Resupply ships
streamed across the Atlantic, braving submarine attacks, underwater mines, and aerial
bombardment. New technologies were invented and refined,... Show more content on

All of this served to place a continuous strangle hold on land based troops thereby
contributing to the stalemate of WWI. Stalemate is term that implies a near
impossible situation in which no one can win or advance. The reasons for the
dissolution of war into a stalemate are multifaceted. Among the explanations for the
stalemate of WWI, the most obvious is the lack of effective communication between
the different levels of command and between the front line and supporting artillery.
Telephones were used but the wires were easily cut by artillery and often units were
reduced to using runners, which caused a delay of hours if the message got through
at all. Radios existed but they were too bulky for use in the trenches. Furthermore,
WWI also saw the introduction of much new weaponry which completely changed
the face of war and contributed to stalemate. The introduction of the

Shinhan Bank America is a non member bank with a headquarters in New York. A
non member bank is a state chartered commercial bank, but not a member of the
Federal Reserve System ( All Institution Types Defined ). It is spread out in five
different states with 16 domestic branches, with total assets of $1,308,996,000. The
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) regulates Shinhan BankAmerica with
the purpose of preserving and promoting public confidence in the U.S. financial
system by insuring deposits in banks and thrift institutions for at least $250,000; by
identifying, monitoring and addressing risks to the deposit insurance funds; and by
limiting the effect on the economy and the financial system when a bank or thrift
institution fails ( Who is the FDIC ).
Shinhan Bank America specializes in commercial lending. Commercial loan enables
a business entity to activate and subsequently obtain a finance stream, to help
companies fund short term expenditures or pay for capital equipment ( Commercial

27. Abolitionist Movement In The 1800s
Many movements happened in the mid 1800s. The two I think are most important are
the Women s Rights movement and the Abolitionism movement.
In the 1800s women starting fighting for their rights. Men were the ones that went
out of the house to work on farms and ranches. The women were always at home and
they soon got lonely. Then they found out they had some impact at church and they
wanted more say and influence. Soon, women realized that women could do
everything men did. All these ideas came near the Civil War because most men left
shops and farms to go to war and all the women tended what they left behind. This
was the beginning of suffrage. After this women started thinking about why they
couldn t vote. Leaders of these movements realized ... Show more content on

This movement was an attempt to end slavery in a country that believed all men
are created equal. One of the well known leaders of the Abolitionist movement was
Harriet Tubman. She led the underground railroad, which was a system of safe
houses for slaves to live and hid in. The runaways would go from house to cave to
barn to churches until the got to a free state or Canada. People started to disobey
the fugitive law, which requires all Americans to return runaway slave back to their
owners. The Abolitionism movement spread throughout the country. Many
Abolitionist newspapers and pamphlets were published. People were trying to
prove that one person owning another was morally wrong, they were trying to
show that colored people are human too. One colored man named David Walker
told slaves to rise up against their owners he said, It is no more harm for you to kill
a man who is trying to kill you, than it is for you to take a drink of water when
thirsty. Soon the Civil War broke out a little under two years in Lincoln, the current
president of the United States, he published the Emancipation Proclamation. This
proclamation freed all slaves that lived/worked in the areas of where the nation is in
rebellion. People didn t have to turn in the runaway slaves and slaves in areas that
were just seized are now free. On December 18, 1865 the thirteenth Amendment was

Richard Nixon, though created a large credibility gap within the US, he
accomplished a lot for the country. He served five years in the presidential office as
a republican (1969 1974), and he was the only president to resign from office in
history. Although through his presidency he had accomplished many things, such as
creating revenue sharing, ending the draft, and creating anticrime laws, he still had a
rough time rebuilding his reputation after many assumptions of corruption in his
office. Though he never admittedly pledged guilty to his crimes of taking
government funds for his own personal gain, there was proof that he was. After the

easy way to be successful in politics is to have a wife that also receives a
government income, like most politicians carry, which Nixon was proud not to have,
while Sparkman did. Sparkman isn t the only one he compared himself to, he also
compared himself to Governor Stevenson by saying that he had earned his political
placement by merit, while Stevenson inherited a fortune, which played a major role
in getting him his spot in the office. He even claimed that if the two men didn t prove
that they weren t guilty of fraud, then they had something worth hiding. However, not
only did Nixon juxtapose himself with these men, he also juxtaposed Dwight
Eisenhower with Governor Stevenson. Richard Nixon was in favor of Eisenhower, so
in his speech, Nixon claimed that Eisenhower a better insight and more wisdom than
Governor Stevenson, which ultimately made him seem like a better man (during his
thought process), which made it seem like he would be the better presidential choice.
When comparing Eisenhower to Stevenson, Nixon claimed that Eisenhower would
lead America better than Stevenson would, and he compared the two by saying that
Eisenhower owes nothing to
34. Modern Music After World War II
Research Paper: Iannis Xenakis Iannis Xenakis (1922 2001) was a French composer
who revolutionized modern music after World War II. He was the founder of
stochastic music and composed works that include: Metastaseis, Diamorphosis,
Pithoprakta, and Nuits . In his works he utilized mathematical concepts such as
statistics, Brownian motion, Gauss s law, set theory, game theory, as well as music
techniques such as sound mass, and glissandos. Iannis Xenakiswas born on May 29th,
1922 to Greek parents. His birthplace was in Romania, but he and his family moved
to Greece in 1932. Xenakis was exposed to music early on, given his mother played

His main interest, though, was with rhythm. He eventually got accepted into the
organization, Groupe de Recherches de Musique ConcrГЁte, that studied electronic
music . The architectural studio and the organization both played large influences on
his works.
Xenakis s most notable work was Metastaseis. It is largely influenced by Einsteinian
view of time, Xeankis s memories of warfare, as well as mathematical concepts he
learned while working in Le Corbusier s studio . The piece is for 65 instruments and
is unique in that no two performers have the same part. Xenakis took from
Einsteinian view in that time changes if matter or energy changes . Inspired by this,
Metastaseis changes throughout the piece in not only time signature and tempo, but
in phrase length, intensity, and in register. In this way, the piece is kept going
through concepts of time, rather than a melody line, which is nonexistent in the first
and third movement of the piece. Xenakis took from his memories of the sound of
warfare with the idea than gunfire is heard as a whole, rather than going through the
impossibility of distinguishing one gun from amongst many guns.
Another one of Xeankis s most notable works is Pithoprakta, which means actions
through probability . It is for 46 string instruments, a woodblock, a xylophone, and
two trombones. The goal of Pithoprakta was to lose the individual players
contributions in one single mass of sound, to fuse the individual sounds

36. Why Is Empathy Important In Human Services
Conflicting messages will inevitably hinder our communication and our ability to
help those we serve.
The Skill of Empathy Another important skill in the field of human services would be
empathy. In the last two years, I have learned the difference between sympathy and
empathy. Sympathy actually separates and isolates individuals, while empathy
empowers them. As helpers, we cannot stand on a pedestal reaching down and
effectively help others. Empathy allows us to bring others up to equal grounds where
we can be much more effective.
Some research even suggest that empathy is the key. It has been suggested that
individuals often have the tools they need to live fulfilling lives and to better
themselves, if only given the power to believe. ... Show more content on

All different facets of the human services field require a professional relationship.
This field of service involves helping people, and in order to help people, we must
enter into some form of relationship. I believe that respect is a key element of a
successful relationship. As helpers, we must be able to respect others. We must
respect their views and opinions; we must respect their customs and beliefs; and we
must respect their individual right of choice. I believe many of the basic
fundamentals of human service, such as confidentiality, empathy, and even
antonym, can fall under the umbrella of respect. If I truly respect, another I will not
try to force my own agenda, and if I truly respect another, I will keep in confidence
the information they have shared. I believe that respect is a right that should be
granted to everyone without limitations, however, respect doesn t require agreement
or even acceptance. I have developed the ability to respect the views of others
without conforming, which for me is a true sign of personal growth. The last two
years has taught me that I can find validation without conformity, and that I can
respect and even admire the diversity of

While Holden sits to watch Phoebe ride the carrousel, he shares, I was sort of

The thing with kids is, if they want to grab for the gold ring, you have to let them
do it, and not say anything. If they fall off, they fall off, but it s bad if you say
anything to them (232). The carrousel represents childhood. Phoebe going around

However, he accepts that Phoebe will have to grow up and enter adulthood when
he chooses not say anything as she grabs for the golden ring, even if she will fall.
Falling, much like in the field of rye, shows maturing, what Holden was originally
against. Change is also evident in Holden when he reflects on how he sort of miss

causing him to be lonely and depressed. However, in the end, he states he misses
everyone, even Maurice, a man who robbed him. He wouldn t miss someone he

38. Solitude In William Wordsworth
In the words of Thomas Edison, solitude is when, one does their best thinking.
The importance of solitude can further be divulged into by Franz Kafka s words that
writing is the ultimate source of utter solitude, it acts as a welcome reprieve.
Another of William Wordsworth s contemporaries, Lord Byron was of the opinion
that letter writing was the ultimate way of merging good company with solitude.
In Ralph Waldo Emerson s renowned essay Self Reliance he surmises that it is quite
easy to dwell in the world without caring for its opinion but the greatest level of
solitude and tranquility is achieved when a person learns to be carefree in the midst
of a crowd and learn the bliss of eternal solitude.
And in Nature he states that the universe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His sister Dorothy was sent to reside at Halifax with a relative, and the boys of the

origin as a solitary person who had no close friends but only nature was his ally and
reprieve. However, due to his solitary and introverted nature, he had the chance to
contemplate deeply and thoroughly and more importantly, learned to appreciate the
pure beauty and grandeur of nature that is, more often than not, taken for granted and
easily ignored by people. The childhood solitude and melancholy thus became the
inspiration behind William Wordsworths numerous famous poems. In literature,

In response to Iago s vulgar descriptions of Desdemona s involvement with the
general, Brabantio arises from bed and, with Roderigo s help, gathers a search party

without his Desdemona will be much worse than before:
It is too true an evil: gone she is;
And what s to come of my despised time
Is nought but bitterness. (1.1)
So obviously the senator has great respect for his daughter, or at least for the
comforts which she has afforded him up the beginning of the play. This respect is
shared by her new husband Othello, who says to Iago
that I love the gentle Desdemona,
I would not my unhoused free condition

For the sea s worth. (1.2)

41. Internet Plagiarism Essay
Internet Plagiarism
Plagiarism used to be easy to catch. It always took real work for a student to try to
pass off someone else s work as his or her own. Different sources of plagiarizing
included copying texts from the library and buying old papers off of other students.
There were not many resources to choose from where a student s topic was contained.
That has now changed. There is a little thing called the Internet. It has revolutionized
the plagiarism world and made it a little more difficult for educators to catch
plagiarism culprits. There are some tools out now, however, that are aiding this new
battle. Since the Internet came along plagiarism has become a lot easier to
accomplish; at least for the time being.
What ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also best to include a partial citation in the text such as Anderson says... or
According to Osborn... The third and final way to plagiarize is not citing others
ideas. An author s ideas that help a writer to form an opinion or view should be
given credit in a proper citation. [2]
When plagiarism occurs and is caught with sufficient evidence, the results can be
disastrous to a student s career. The punishment can be minor where the student fails
that assignment or maybe even the whole course. In extreme cases, suspension or
expulsion from the school or University is the punishment. [3]
What are the signs that warn educators that plagiarism has occurred in a paper?
First, look for context changes. Students will often take a paragraph or two from
various sources and try to change a few words around to pass it off as their own. A
lot of those times a few context changes will appear from words that were missed
when being moved and changed around. An example for this would be a paper about
England with references to Ireland websites.
Another detection is missing footnotes. Students often do this when they want to act
like they do not know how to cite. This way, ignorance can be claimed when the
missing footnote is pointed out. To check this, an educator should ask about the
source and see if the student remembers what the source was about. If the student
cannot remember anything about the source and what it was about or even where he
or she got it,

with mild obesity. It was only then that the cognitive dissonancemade me begin to
change my behavior. Cognitive dissonance theory explains the contradictions we
have with our behaviors and beliefs but it can also be used to get us to have positive
behaviors.
Cognitive dissonance theory was created by Leon Festinger and to better explain his
theory he used the topic of smoking. He showed how the contradiction is so clear
and uncomfortable that something has to give either the use of cigarettes of the
belief that smoking will [harm] (Griffin et al., 2015, p.201). Cognitive dissonance
in a nutshell is a contradiction that causes us stress. It is when we act in ways that
go against what we believe and the strong presence we have on the matter the
greater the stress we have. Festinger (2015) describe it the distressing mental state
one feels when one finds themselves doing things that don t fit with what we believe
or what the public approves of (p.200). An extreme example of this is the high one
gets from taking drugs but the disapproval the community might have for it. With
dissonance creating a stressful mental state we naturally want to avoid it by either
change our behaviors or our beliefs.
Cognitive dissonance can have either positive effects or negative ones on a person s
being. In the Glatz, Stattin, Kerr study they considered the health and behavior of
parents who find their youths drinking. Generally underage drinking is looked down
upon in the community and even in the eyes of the law but studies have shown that
parents reduce control and support in response to youths drinking (Glatz, Stattin,
Kerr, 2012, p. 629). Glatz et al
45. Lab Report On The Absorption Of Crystals
3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION The CoCaOxM crystals were grown by single
diffusion gel growth technique and the harvested crystals are analysed by FTIR,
XRD, SEM EDX, UV Visible and incubation studied.
3.1 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy The FTIR spectrum of CoCaOxM
crystals were as shown in Fig 3. In FTIR spectrum, a strong band at 3434cm 1 and
3062cm 1 is due to asymmetric and symmetric OH stretching while an intense
absorptions band at 3261cm 1 show inters molecular hydrogen bonded OH stretch.
Intense absorption band at 1612cm 1 and 1318cm 1 can be assigned to asymmetric
and symmetric C=O stretching bands specific to the Calcium Oxalate
Monohydrate. The sharp band at 885cm 1 is due to C C stretching vibrations
which confirm the existence of oxalate group in Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate.
The sharp peak at 781cm 1 is due to O C=O and the wideband at 665cm 1 can be
assigned to the bending modes of the water molecule. However, the peak at 518cm 1
is assigned to the presence of metal oxygen bond (18 21). Thus FTIR reveals that the
growth of COM crystals was due to the presence of O H stretching, C=O, C C, O
C=O and M=O bonds.
There are some additional peaks formed due to the process of doping some
absorption peaks due to OH vibrations are changed because of the incorporation of
dopant in the lattice. In the case of CoCaOxM crystals additional peaks are found at
1285cm 1 and 1462cm 1 which are attributed to the C=O stretching. These peaks are
found to
46. Write An Argumentative Essay On Desert Tortoises
Desert turtles are lifelong pets, according to Sara Garcia and her article The Man
Behind MUTTS: October 2017 . If anyone has wanted a turtle then they should
know it takes a lots of care and work. Desert Tortoises can live to be 60 years of age
or longer. When they re not at a house, and live by themselves in the wild, then they
live in burrows (Garcia). According to the U.S Fishand Wildlife Service and their
official website Mojave Desert Tortoise, desert tortoises that live in the desert usually
spend 95% of their life underground. As they grow up they walk about Вѕ a miles a
day. Tortoises that live in in the desert have been around for Bantu 1 million years
(Garcia). When they live with someone the turtles can longer than... Show more

There s two layer and the shell underneath is much lighter than the one on top.
When they feel threatened they put their head, arms, and legs inside their shell.
When males head bob then that means they re being aggressive, while females can
too (Service). According to Heidi Martinez and her video Quick Facts About the
Desert Tortoises and Adorable Video! , the tortoise can grow to as long 24 51
pounds. Females lay around 1 14 eggs. Unless there was no rainfall throughout a
year it s likely that they won t have any eggs. They build nests and the hatching
starts after 90 120 days. Once the mother has them then she leaves and the eggs are
alone. Tortoises usually hibernate about 9 months. They use bushes to help the, with
protection and shade etc. When they live in burrows it s around 18 inches
underground. This helps them when it s cold or hot. Their burrows could scatter
across a landscape and it s sometimes shared with others. Most people do not see
tortoises that live in the desert because they all go under ground
47. Taking a Look at Migraines
Migraines affect nearly 28 million people or 12% of the population in the United
States. Migraines are typified by moderate to severe head pain. The head pain is
often accompanied by one or more of the following; nausea, photophobia,
phonophobia or vomiting. Migraines are considered a chronic neurological disorder.
The incidence of migrainerelated nausea (MRN) is very high among migraneurs.
Roughly 90% of patients experience MRN at one time or another. Roughly 50% of
patients report experiencing MRN with high frequency (greater than half the time).
MRN can hinder the efficacy of currently available migraine drugs in a number of
ways. Many patients who experience MRN will delay or avoid taking oral or nasal
migraine medication as it can further irritate their stomach. The GI upset associated
with migraines can also affect absorption and thus limit systemic exposure to the
drug. Researchers have been working diligently to find a solution to this problem.
Sumatriptanis one of the most commonly prescribed treatments for migraines. It
was approved by the FDA in 1990. Sumatriptan is a selective 5 hydroxytryptamine
(5 HT1) receptor agonist. 5 HT1B receptors are primarily located in the cerebral
and dural vessels of the cranial vasculature. These receptors mediate vasoconstriction
of the cephalic arteries. 5 HT1D receptors are located primarily in nervous tissue.
This form of 5 HT1 receptors are presynaptic autoreceptors. They work by inhibiting
neurogenic
48. Lord Of The Flies Literary Analysis
The Beast Within The Lord of the Flies portrays the years of adolescence in a way
not commonly perceived. In the novel, William Golding depicts childhood as times
of tribulation and terror when the children are put in certain adult like situations.
Without mature role models to look up to, children turn to other children for
leadership. Additionally, when given the chance children would rather play around
than do manual labor. Lastly, children stray to savagery without rules or social
boundaries. Therefore, Goulding effectively portrayed the attitudes of adolescents
which shaped the meaning of the book as a whole. When children are without adult
authority, they look for an adult like person for leadership. In the beginning of the
book, when the boys realize they are all alone, they to Ralph for leadership. A
quote to represent this is, But there was a stillness about Ralph as he sat that
marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and most obscurely,
yet most powerfully, there was the conch. The being that had blown that, had sat
waiting for them on the platform with the delicate thing balanced on his knees,
was set apart (Golding 15). This quote shows how the boys are drawn to Ralph
because of his physical characteristics and because he had set a rule, which was to
give attention to the person holding the conch. As a result of there being no adults
on the island, the boys are be attracted to Ralph as their leader. However, towards the
end of the
49. Organ Systems And The Nervous System Essay
The six main organ systems in the human body are the nervous system,
cardiovascular system, endocrine system, digestive system, skeletal system and the
reproductive system.
Nervous System
There are two parts to the nervous system which are: the central nervous system and
the peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system includes the brain and
spinal cord and some nerves, whereas the peripheral nervous system includes all the
other nerves and it carries information to the central nervous system and also from it.
The central nervous acts as the central control region of the human nervous system.
The CNS processes information and issues commands around the body. The
autonomic nervous system is the command network the CNS uses to maintain the
body s homeostasis. It regulates heartbeat and controls muscle contractions in the
walls of blood vessels, digestive, urinary, and reproductive tracts. It also carries
messages that help stimulate glands to secrete tears, mucus, and digestive enzymes.
Central nervous system
A response to a stimulus is coordinated by its central nervous system (CNS). The
CNS consists of the brain and the spinal cord. It gathers information about, and
responds to, changes in the environment. Receptors detect a stimulus and send
impulses along sensory neurons to the CNS. The CNS coordinates the information
and sends impulses along motor neurons to the effectors, which bring about a
response.
The sequence of a response is:
50. Sin And Redemption In The Scarlet Letter By Nathaniel...
Sin and Redemption Every novel has characters who have certain flaws, making them
do something that can change the entirety of the story. The main theme in The
Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne, is that of sin and redemption, and the actions
of certain characters shapes the work as a whole. These characters, like Hester, will
commit great sins, forcing them to carry around their guilt with them until they
redeem themselves for it. However, this doesn t always happen. Some characters, like
Dimmesdale, never get the chance to redeem themselves, which forces them to live
with their guilt and sin for the rest of their life. The Scarlet Letterdeals with the acts of
sin committed by the novel s main character, Hester Prynne. She commits what the
Puritan society believes is the worst sin any person can commit, adultery. Though
Hester believes what she did isn t that bad, her society views her actions as the
work of the devil. They lock her up in prison and force her to wear a scarlet letter A
(Hawthorne 27) on her breast to show the world what she had done. After years of
wearing the scarlet letter, Hester finally accepts it as a part of her sin, which is the
first step to leading her towards redemption. Once Hester is released from prison,
she is expected to participate in society and help people, even though they judged her
for what she did. In order to make others happy, she... Show more content on

51. Inherited Variation
Inherited variation is the way that you get one set of traits from your parents, such
as eye color and skin color, but another member in your family could look
completely different. With each set of genes, there is a certain percentage of you
getting one trait or another, as long as in the set of traits you may receive from
your parents has a certain allele. For instance, if both of your parents have brown
hair, but your grandfather has blonde hair, that allele is still active. It s just
recessive, or not as prominent. So it still has a chance of showing up, but it is more
likely that you will have brown hair, since the allele for brown hair is dominant.
However, while humans may not have any predators, many other creatures do. For
instance,
52. Ereader Case Study Essay
Data is an important component used by all technology and businesses to gain
insights and refine their marketing techniques to improve customer experience.
Through the use of data analysis companies can capture a large amount of data, and
retrieve information regarding the company s trends. In Richard s case using data
analytics allows him to gain better insights on customer behaviors, in which he was
able to determine which factors influence a user to purchase the eReader early. These
factors will allow the team to develop new businessmodels and improve their
marketingstrategies to capture these individuals ( Big Data Analytics , 2017). For
example, if most of the early users are from California, it would be beneficial to
promote the eReader... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, I was able to learn how to use RapidMiner to clean and analyze the
data to determine the confidence level that a user would purchase a eReader. For
example, for the user ID of 19889, we can say with a confidence score of 0.410
that the user would be an early adopter of the product. Moreover, I have learned the
importance of cleaning data and the impact dirty data has on the analysis of a
situation. Any outliers, missing, and empty data can skew and impact the creation
of a model that best fits the organization s strategy and question. This analysis
provides the company with the information as to how to improve their marketing
strategies to attract certain customers to purchase the eReader early. As a data
engineer, I focus on extracting and loading the data into a useable format for the
data scientists and analyst to use and perform data models. I hope to use the
knowledge learned in this course to determine if the data being loaded is usable for
the teams and the methods I can take to present a clean dataset. Presenting an
accurate model can be the difference between a company s success and failure for
attracting new
