Parts of speech is a term used to describe the traditional class of words in the
English language that varies according to the function performed or the idea
denoted by those words in a sentence

A proper noun is described as a specific name given to a
person, place, animal, or thing such as Kajal, Mumbai,
Titanic, Monday, etc.

3.Kajal is getting a first prize
in her competition.
Common Noun
A common noun is a name given to a person, place, or thing in
common is called common noun such as boy, cow, tree, river, etc.
1.He is reading a book right
now.
2.I am here to meet my best
friend after years.
3.She is great at cooking.
Collective Nouns
A group or collection of persons, animals, or things together at
one place is called a collective noun.
Example:- A circle of a group
A class of army
A pod of dolphins
A class of students
Abstract Nouns
The noun that is immaterial in nature that cannot be seen, tasted, or
touched but we can think, experience, or feel them is called an abstract
noun. They are intangible in nature.
Example:- Energy, beauty, weakness, strength.
1.Honesty is the best policy.
2.Save your energy for the next round.
3.That was my love for her.
4.Tell me the truth that you are hiding.
5.This is our honesty towards our job.
Material Nouns
A material noun is a word that refers to physical matter. It may
be either countable or uncountable. For example, “wood,”
“sand,” and “water” are all uncountable material nouns. Chair,
and table, are countable material nouns.
1.I have a cricket bat in my room.
2.I would love to buy this necklace.
3.I do not use soap on my face now.
4.This soft toy was gifted to me.
5.You should not go to the party alone.

What is Descriptive adjective
A descriptive adjective is an adjective that modifies a noun or pronoun by
describing it or expressing its quality.
A demonstrative adjective is an adjective used to specifically
describe the position of something or someone in space or time.

A distributive adjective is an adjective that refers to members of a group
individually.

An interrogative adjective is a word that modifies a noun by
asking a question. Interrogative adjectives are also known
as interrogative determiners. The interrogative
adjective are.
The numeral adjective is also called the adjective of numbers or
numerical adjective, as it is used to represent the numbers or order
of any substance or anything else in a sentence. Because of the
number sequences, it provides more details and accurate
information in a sentence, respectively.

A proper adjective is a type of adjective. Proper adjective is a word that

noun is the specific name used for any person, place, or thing is called
proper adjective.

 A word governing, and usually preceding, a noun or pronoun and expressing
a relation to another word or element in the clause.

1 . Preposition for Place
Prepositions of Place are used to show the relationship with the noun phrase in context of the
place for example about, across, against, on, to etc.
 Let us understand them by their use in sentence.
• Went about the world.
• Ran across the road.
• Leaned against the wall.
• Kolkata is on Hooghly.
• Came to the end of the road.
• Within the house.
2. Preposition for Time
Prepositions of Time are used to show the relationship between
noun phrase and preposition in the context of any time examples are
after, at, by, since, during etc.
 Have a look at following sentences to see how they are used :
• After his death.
• At an early age.
• By Three o’clock.
• Since yesterday.
• During the whole day
3. Preposition for Agent or Instrument
Prepositions for Agent are used to show a relationship between a noun, perhaps
noun as a doer in case of agency and an instrument as in instrumentality and an
action. For example at, by, with, using etc.
Take a look at sentences to see how they are used.
• Sell goods at an auction.
• Sent the parcel by the post.
• Cut it with a knife.
• Was destroyed by the fire.
4. Preposition for Manner
These types of prepositions tell you about the way something happened or how it is
done. for example by, with, like etc.
 Following sentences will help you learn the way they are used.

• Dying by inches.
• Fought with courage.
• Won with ease.
• Adam says he laughs like a dog.
5. Preposition for Cause, Reason, Purpose
These are the prepositions that in show the reason
of something happening or being in a sentence.
 These help us to know why something is happening.
Examples of these types of prepositions are of, for, with
etc.
 Following sentences will tell you how they are used.
• Died of fever.
• A man of means.
• The place for a picnic.
• Shivers with fever.
• Took medicine for cold.
• Did it for our good.
6. Preposition for Possession
These prepositions are used to indicate that one noun or pronoun
owns something in the sentence. examples are on, of, with etc.
 Let’s look at some sentences to learn how they are used.
• There was no money on him.
• The mosque of Omar.
• A man of means.
• The boy with red hair.
Pronoun
 Pronoun is a sentence element used to replace
a noun. The replaced noun is named the
“antecedent”.
CATEGORIES OF PRONOUNS
Pronouns are used to avoid repetition and to set nouns categories
of number person and gender .
There are eight categories of pronouns
1.Personal pronoun .
2.Possessive Pronouns .
3.Interrogative Pronouns.
4.Reflexive pronoun.
5.Relative Pronouns .
6.Indefinite Pronouns .
7. Reciprocal Pronouns.
Personal Pronoun
 Personal pronouns represent specific people or
things . We use them depending on.
Person
1st person(I , We) :- 1. I am doing my work.
2. we are going to market .
2nd person(You) :- 1. you are hungry.
2. you are very beautiful.
3rd person(They , he, she , it):- 1.They are careless.
2. He is cooking.
Subjective Case
 In the sentence if personal pronoun are using as subject it is
called subjective case.
example :- I like chocolate .
I go to sleep.
He go to market.
Objective Case
 If we use personal pronoun as a object then it is called
objective case or if I use object in a sentence is called
objective case.
example :- I call him.
You teach me.
Possessive Pronoun
 When personal pronoun shows their authority it is called possessive
case .
Ex :- This book is mine.
This is our house.
Nominative case
When a noun is used as the subject of a verb.
Ex :- He calls them .
You know me.
Interrogative pronoun
 A pronoun that replace a noun in a sentence to ask a
question.
Ex :- Who are you?
What is your name?
Demonstrative pronoun
 A pronoun that points to specific noun or pronoun.
Reflexive pronoun
 We use reflexive pronoun when subject is same as object.
Ex :- Myself , Yourself , Themselves ,
Himself , ourself etc
Sentence :-
He has done his work himself.
I am taking food myself.
Relative pronoun
 This used to connect a clause or phrase .
Ex :- Which , Whoever , Whomever , Whichever etc
Sentence:- The person who won the race trained hard.
I know the boy whom sits next to you.
Indefinite pronoun
 Pronoun that replaces with an unknown or non-specific noun.
Ex :- Anyone , Anything , Each , Many etc
Reciprocal Pronouns
 A pronoun that both perform and receives the action in a sentence.

Verb –The verb is a word used to express
Some Action and felling or existence is called
verb.
In the simple Language
just as the engine is the main part of a van, in the
same way verb is the main part of a sentence

He played cricket.
 Transitive verb
 It is also main verb but some condition if main verb need object
that is called transitive verb.

Intransitive verb
It is also main verb but some condition if main verb
no need object that is called transitive verb.
Ex May I sit here?

 It is a type main verb it is formed by
