Throughout Consider the Lobster, an article written by David Foster Wallace about the 2004 Maine
Lobster Festival, Wallace demonstrates that not all of his writing is clear and concise. The author does

clinging to and climbing over the dirty, damp, and dark possessions of the cellar. Why is it possible
that so much life is present in such a place of shadows? In Root Cellar , Roethke uses imagery,
diction, and tone to display that is possible for life to overcome unbearable circumstances suggesting
that nature is a truly dominant and powerful force.
First, Roethke uses a variety of natural imagery to illustrate the poor conditions of the root cellar. The
imagery is extremely concrete, which is illustrated through the use of sensory language. By being
inside the cellar, multiple senses are engaged, which ranges from smells, sights, and surfaces to touch.
Roethke writes that there were a congress of stinks (6) and then proceeds to explain them as roots ripe
as old bait (7) and leaf mold, manure, lime (9); the sensory imagery here reveals that the root cellar is

Marcus Junius Brutus Minor was the son of Marcus Junius Brutus Maior and Servilia Caepionis. His
father was killed by Pompey the Great in dubious circumstances after he had taken part in the
rebellion of Lepidus; his mother was the half sister of Cato the Younger, and later Julius Caesar s
mistress. Some sources refer to the possibility of Caesar being his real father,despite Caesar s being
only 15 years old when Brutus was born. Brutus uncle, Quintus Servilius Caepio, adopted him in

I heard Officer J. Gustafson, who was doing an evidence track with and K 9
Officer C. Buchanan, stated via the radio, they found a firearm in the 1700 block of A ST SE, which is
just south of the 7/11. I walked to Officer
Gustafson s location as he was taking photographs of the firearm. I observed a firearm, which had a
black grip and silver slide in a bush on the east side of A
ST SE. Officer Gustafson collected the firearm and removed the magazine. I observed the firearm and
magazine did not have any ammunition in them. I placed the firearm and magazine in paper bags for
evidence.

I later observed there were 13 pills in the bottle, 9 white and 4 green. The white pills either had Xanax
or GG 249 inscribed on them, and the green pills had S 90 3 inscribed on them. I used Drugs.com pill
identifier and learned all of the pills were 2 mg of Alprazolam (Xanax).
I drove to the Auburn Police Department to enter evidence. Once there, Officer
Minkler gave me a black LG ZTE cell phone and a Pittsburgh Steelers beanie to be entered into
evidence. She stated both items belonged to Samaga and he was wearing the beanie when Police
contacted him.
Officer Minkler also provided me with two Samsung cell phones, one black one white, and stated they
belonged to Dominique Davis Hill, who was in custody for a warrant. Officer Minkler stated the cell
phones needed to be entered into evidence because Davis was involved with Samaga and she had
made phone calls since the incident occurred.
