roofing services in the United States, composite, or asphalt, shingles are the least expensive option on
the market. These shingles are also easy to install and repair, a quality that will prove useful if you are
the DIY type. They have an average manufacturer warranty of 20 to 30 years. Ceramic Ceramic tiles

Egyptian Civilization And Greek Civilization
The early human lived life by hunting, fishing and collecting wild plant, and their life was not
organized. About 5000 years ago, a complex and organized way of life began in some part of the
world. People live together in town, cities and others centers and started farming, industries, and also
started writing, painting and other method of living. Later, there were specialize occupations emerged,
complex religions took form and social diversion increased, and these changes lead to the birth of
civilizations. There were many ancient civilizations in the world like, India civilization, Chinese
civilization, Middle East civilization, Mesopotamian civilization, Egyptian civilization, Greek
civilization, Roman civilization and others which greatly contributed to the development of the world
history. Each civilization had their own way to follow culture, religions, public life, economic life, and
others. Therefore, in this paper, I will describe how Indian civilization, Egyptian civilization and
Greek Civilization made impacts in the way that we see today s world and how these civilizations
affected people s life.
Indian civilization was one of the first civilization in world history. Indian civilization is staged in two
steps: About 2600 BCE is known as Indus Civilization and about 1500 BCE is known as Vedic
civilizations. Indus Civilization was peaceful civilization compared to other civilizations. All evidence

Tomb Guard Research Paper
Obviously, the Tomb of the Unknown is heavily guarded at all times, even during the atrocious
weather that comes upon Washington, D.C. In the year of 1948, the Third Infantry, also known as the
Old Guard, had received the responsibility of guarding the most important tomb in Arlington National
Cemetery. The Third Infantry is very important because it is the only infantry unit allowed to march
with bayonets on the rifles. Primarily, the Third Infantry s responsibility are duties, for example,
conducting all military funerals at Arlington National Cemetery, providing protection for the capitol
building and providing an escort for the president of the United States. The most important honor that

International Monetary Fund
The IMF s primary purpose is to ensure the stability of the international monetary system the system
of exchange rates and international payments that enables countries (and their citizens) to transact
with one other. This system is essential for promoting sustainable economic growth, increasing living
standards, and reducing poverty. The Fund s mandate has recently been clarified and updated to cover
the full range of macroeconomic and financial sector issues that bear on global stability. The IMF was
established at the Bretton Woods conference in 1944 to provide short term financial assistance to
countries experiencing problems with their trade deficit or other Balance of Payments issues, so they

The IMF Board of Governors is composed of representatives of the 185 member countries. The
Executive Board has 24 members that usually represent a coalition of like minded countries in one
representative. Lending decisions are made with consensus in a simple majority vote. Structural
decisions require 60% majority where, G 5 countries collectively can nearly veto since they currently
have 38% vote. Fundamental structural decisions e.g. changes in voting power require 85% majority;
US has enough voting power to veto ( gt;15%). Economic nationalists would say that the IMF voting
structure enables powerful countries to promote their own national interests. Structuralists would say
rich capitalist countries have the most voting power which is to the detriment of the developing
countries. Embedded liberals would say that the type of conditions IMF imposes and the aid it
provides helps troubled countries get back on track, stimulates their economy and gets the trade
balance in equilibrium. In December 1997 the IMF announced a $57 billion loan package to bail
South Korea out of its financial crisis accompanied by strict conditions. Some short term conditions
were to reduce government spending, increase taxes and raise interest rates. Longer term structural
reforms were also mandated: liberalizing foreign investment policies, opening domestic financial
markets, implementing western lending standards, closing insolvent banks, reforming labor laws and
reducing import

The Aphorism Of My Life
My life is a spitting image of the aphorism, The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying
away small stones , by William Faulkner, because of the way I value myself and time. My life projects
this aphorism by showing that I often have to start from the very bottom to get to the top, and that I
encounter various situations. And it depicts that I have ambition and that hard work pays off. I am like
the man who removes the mountain by carrying small stones away. We all can not be handled the
Silver Spoon, we often have to start from the very bottom to get to the highest peak. I personally have
had to sit back and start all over from the beginning to redirect myself I the right path. For example, I
got into an altercation my 9th grade year with another young lady over a situation that could have
been avoided. It took me me going to the alternative school to realize hat I was not in high school for
boys; I was there to better myself for the future. So, I took that experience as a stepping stone in the

Political Debates Of The United States
Political debates in the United States, has turned into a constant public dispute, on who is more
convincing for the public eye. A political debate refers to a discussion engaging deliberate arguments,
that involves opposing viewpoints. One of the issues that has been in a constant debate for years, is the
Tax Reform . A recent Republican political debate that took place on November 28th, gave us insight
on the thoughts of some of our candidates, regarding the imposition of taxes. In the United States, we
tend to believe that we still are in a democratic era, yet as Republicans get closer and closer to taking
control of government, many worry that it will completely change; into a conservative political
environment. In an article by New ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Donald Trump, at this point is just trying to influence his constituents and say what they would love to
hear. Yet, the sharing of taxes has never been consistent nor fair in the United States. According to the
Tax Fairness.org Facts Sheets, say that many wealthy Americans have ways to avoid paying their fair
share in taxes (Americanstax.org). Everyone has mixed feelings when it comes to the tax topic,
because most of our societies consist of working class individuals and even below the poverty line
group. So when we talk about the wealthy, is that 1%, whom are gaining most of the incomes. This is
not a surprise to American citizens. However, even though Donald Trump s proposition sounds very
interesting, killing the estate tax would cost [roughly] $20 billion a year (Hunt, par.4), and we cannot
afford more debt added to our budged in the United States. A G.O.P challenger, Senator Marco Rubio,
debated about tax cuts, but that this would give almost twice as much to the rich (Hunt, par.5). If we
are realistic, cutting taxes off completely, will sort of benefit the working class because we will be
fully gaining what we work for, but, the richer will also benefit tremendously, because they won t have
to pay no type of taxes what so ever. The tax reform is an issue that we need to look into very closely,
since it affects everyone of us, who are working to earn a living, or

The Netflix Business Model
Current situation
Introduction to the Company
Netflix was founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in 1997 and was originally based out of
Scotts Valley California. The business model that they were working towards was to create a company
that would offer online movie rental service made available by streaming media as well as DVD s that
could be ordered online and delivered to the customers homes. (Wheelen, Case 12). Netflix had a
strategic plan to undercut the competition in an effort to stress the market and force weaker
competition out of the field. This was a very successful plan and over a period of years it was able to
force the closings of most of its competing market to include the mega giant Blockbuster video. Using

Adhering to its organizational mission, Netflix was able to, over a period of about a decade, force
almost all of its competition out of the market. This was the culmination of meeting its set Goals.
Netflix core values seemed to evoke a very negative response by the general public at large.
Consumers found their ethical means of climbing the corporate ladder abhorrent. This was damaging
to Netflix for a period of several years causing investors, consumers, stock holders and product
distributors to refuse to continue a business relationship with them. The core strategy for Netflix was
to grow their streaming subscription business both domestically and globally. Its stated goal was to
continuously improve its customer experience, with a focus on expanding its accessibility of its
streaming content, and striving to enhance its users interface. This has been met as to recent by the
availability of devices that users can use in the home that will allow direct access to Netflix streaming
content directly from Smart TV s and DVD players. Netflix is continually expanding and extending its
streaming service to include services to new streaming capable devices as they are offered on the

segment contribution profit targets. (Netflix) Netflix claims honest and ethical conduct, including the

Nanacha s Digger
There is a fierce competition going on every night in the woods, a secret ritualistic meeting of
disenfranchised businessmen. Each armed with a shovel they challenge is to dig for as long as you
can. The nightly competition attracts a nameless and silent protagonist, an office worker who spends
his days fantasizing about the act of digging. He must face some fierce competition in order to make it
to the top and beat the man who silently watches over the event. Digger is an example that in the
world of the absurd anything can become a competition. This short film which features no dialogue
and a lot of digging is more fun in execution than concept. The late night rituals the men perform in
the short makes it feel as if this is just an event that has been and always will be, steeped in a deep
tradition with synchronized dances and an unspoken language that you have to dig to prove your
worth. Although it is hard to imagine this drawn out into feature length as a short film it is very
successful at creating this odd, funny yet endearing culture of a bunch of businessmen digging holes in
the middle of the forest while being cheered on by their peers. Digger is a comedic gem with an ideal
runtime that is bound to entertain audiences. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Why Vaccination Should Be Mandatory

GND 1015: First Year Seminar

Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School
Ever since the invention of the first smallpox vaccine more than two centuries ago, there has been
plenty of controversy over the morality, ethics, effectiveness, and safety of vaccination and
immunization. It has recently been argued whether laws should be introduced that render some or all
vaccines obligatory for all children (Singer). Parents, health care specialists, nurses, teachers and
children all have an important stake in this issue. Parents argue that it is they who should have the
ultimate decision making right on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Nurses and health care
officials oppose that view on the grounds that by making vaccination rates in children incomplete, we
expose all children to contracting the vaccine preventable diseases. If this is a risk some parents are
willing to take, but others face unwillingly, there is obviously a propitious platform for debate. It is in
fact irresponsible and a violation of good citizen when parents oppose vaccinating their children. It is
important to unify certain rules related to vaccination and not make it the prerogative of a particular
public or private school to decide whether or not to accept an unvaccinated child. It would only be
right to end all debate by passing a binding country wide law to make certain vaccines (against

The Myth of Individualism
The Myth of Individualism
America is famous for the reputation of being the land of opportunity, and for generations immigrants
have fled to the United States to experience the freedom and equality our government lays claim to.
The fundamental of this reputation is the American Dream, the belief that life should be better and
richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each by hard working regardless of social class or
circumstances of birth(by James Truslow Adams). The American Dream is different for everyone,
though it is most commonly associated with success, freedom, and happiness. The concept of the
American Dream seems to have dwindled from where it was in the past few generations. It has gone
from success, freedom, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Class distinction provides not only feelings of inferiority for the lower classes, but monetary
inadequacy as well. Higher class children have an advantage from birth since they are guaranteed
large sums of money at some time in their lives. Furthermore, it is known that it takes money to make
money in a capitalistic system and so the inheritance laws only widen the gap between the rich and
poor, keeping the lower class exactly where they started: on the bottom. The American dream can only
offer empty promises of equal opportunity to succeed. People are driven to work hard by the notion of
success without having almost any chance to succeed. However, because the American Dream is so
deeply embedded in our culture, it greatly influences our perception of others and our perception of
success. The all you need is hard work to succeed mindset has encouraged Americans to flaunt costly
possessions to give the persona of a hard worker, while Americans who do not own extravagant
objects are looked at as lazy or incompetent. In reality, most cases are opposite. It is undeniable that an
American laboring long hour for minimum wage works harder than an American who doesn t
maintain a job because he lives off inheritance money, but that is not what the myth has taught us.
Even for those who have completed the American Dream, it s not necessary a happy ending. In the
story Ragged Dick, Horatio Alger writes about a young man s progress from poor background that

C. H. Mason Holiness Movement
C.H. Mason and the Church Of God in Christ Although there were many Pentecostal churches that
arose from the Holiness movement in the latter part of the Nineteenth century few are as unique and
successful as the Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.). The church arose as a predominantly Black
church in the Jim Crow era south and yet it was interracial and even ordained White ministers. These
are just a few of the distinctive traits of what would become the largest Pentecostal church in America.
To properly discuss the history of the church one has to research the background of the Holiness
movement and then the founder of the denomination C.H. Mason. The Holiness movement began as a
move toward the Second Blessing as taught by John Wesley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The church held to the Holiness emphasis on holiness in life as proof of entire sanctification,
subsequent to justification, and evidence of the Spirit by speaking in tongues. They remained
Trinitarian after the oneness controversy spread across other Pentecostal camps. Repentance is highly
stressed as a proof of salvation. Divine healing is believed as a normal in the new Spirit filled life. One
of the remainders of Calvinism is the absolute necessity of holiness before salvation. All of the other
normal Protestant sacraments of the church are also adhered. It did and continues to utilize a very
effective Episcopalian form of church government that allowed such monstrous growths throughout
the years despite of numerous divisions. One particular of the church and Mason was its pacifist
stance. Mason was once jailed after forbidding members to participate in World War I; he was released
the next day after a storm blew the roof of the jail. The pacifist view was so serious that the FBI kept a
file on Mason. The pride of the church was its unrelenting stance on racial unity during some of
America s darkest days. Mason once said The church is like the eye... it has a little white and a little
black without both it can t see. This spirit has clearly carried the denomination throughout the years!

Essay on Moliere s Tartuffe
The Theme of Moliere s Tartuffe: Reason vs. Passion
Jean Baptitste Poquelin Moliere s Tartuffe, is undoubtedly a satirical comedy. In Moliere s description
of a satire, he was very direct as to the function and objectives of one are. The function is to correct
men s vices, using satire to ridicule them and expose them to public laughter (Moliere, p.14).
Although this satire is making fun of many things in the church and organized religion, which is not
the only objective Moliere had in mind. Tartuffe has many themes that reoccur through out the play.
The time period, in which this play was written, was known as the Age of Reason. One of the main
ideas and attitudes during this time was, reason must always control passion. Due to this ... Show

Cleante is another character that could be considered a raisoneur during the play. There is numerous
times where he interjects reason into a situation. Ought not a Christian to forgive, and ought he not to
stifle every vengeful thought? Should you stand by and watch a father make his only son an exile for
you sake? Again I tell you frankly, be advised: the whole town, high and low, is scandalized; this
quarrel must be mended, and my advice is not to push matter to a further crisis (4. 1. 9 16). In this
scene, Cleante is trying to talk reason into Tartuffe s actions. Orgon has just kicked out his son, and
made Tartuffe his sole heir. Although Orgon has acted out on his passion without considering any
reason, Cleante is attempting to show Tartuffe his wrong doings and his hypocrisy. Up to this point,
Tartuffe has been a very reasonable man. His character was not known for acting out his passions. But
Moliere adds a twist to the story when this exact thing, Tartuffe s passion, is the sole explanation for
his downfall. Slowly his passion for Elmire and greed infest his way of thinking and leads to his
defeat. He let his passions control his reason.
Again in Act V, Scene 2, Cleante comes to the rescue of young Damis. What a display of young
hotheadedness! Do learn to moderate your fits of rage. In this just kingdom, this enlightened age; one
does not settle things by violence (5. 2. 10 13). Damis had just learned that Tartuffe had wronged his

Phylum Hemichordata are marine vertebrates that live in shallow water. Hemichordates have two
significant features with chordates which are pharyngeal gill slits and dorsal nerve cords. The name

Analysis Of Bruno Bettelheim s Beauty And The Beast
Bruno Bettelheim, he analyzed fairy tales in terms of Freudian psychology, which is represented in his
works of The Uses of Enchantment. Beaumont s story of Beauty and the Beast is where the first
discovery of Beauty s problem was identified as the Oedipal complex. The Oedipal complex is a child
s desire to have a sexual relation with the parent of the opposite sex, but it is repressed deep in the
mind. Beauty in Beauty and the Beast has a special bond of affection with her father; there is the
problem that arises within this complex that what if she were to be stuck at the stage of development
and never outgrow it. Within the fairy tale written by Jeanne Marie Beaumont there is the
representation of the period where she begins to transfer the affection to someone else. An analysis of
Bettelheim s theory of the Oedipal complex reveals psychological problems of growing up in the
written fairy tale and Disney adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Bettelheim s theory is centralized on
his argument of the importance of fairy tales on a child s development. This argument was proposed
through The Uses of Enchantment, he suggested that fairy tales provided images to the children and
with these images they could structure a better direction to one s life. Bruno Bettelheim felt that the
use of fairy tales for child s development represented good versus evil clearly, these stories helped

White South Africans were seen as the Superior race and were allowed privileges that other races were
denied. Being born and raised in South Africa after Apartheid, where it is now called a Democracy.
The power struggle is still just as ripe and evident as it was back then, it is just in reverse. Now the
Black people are allowed privileges and the White people are denied them. It seems like only those in
power; wealth and literacy are heard out and are able to actually make a change. Today, a similar fight
for power is evident in classrooms, work places and all over the world. Mary Louise Pratt, a woman of
the Elite MLAAcademy presented a speech, Art of the contact zone to expose the students and faculty
to the contact zone. Pratt uses a very clever technique by starting off with the story with personal
illustrations and then leaves us dumbfounded by the points her essay makes about the inequality of
power. Pratt s explanation and emphasis about the struggle of power, past and present is completely
true. Although the contact zone is a great idea in terms of power being equally distributed between
people in society is, it s not feasible because people always want to have more power than the next.
The contact zone is a great

Tragedy Of Romeo And Juliet
Romeo Juliet Critique
The Tragedy of Romeo Juliet by William Shakespeare was in the 18th century in a place called
Verona, Italy. Shakespeare illustrates about how sometimes that life can be unfair or not, but it s not
worth dying for when something bad happens to them or not. There were two young people that are
Romeo and Juliet, they fall in love when they first saw each other and later on, they get married
because it was unfair when both families hated each other when they don t want them to fall in love.
Then, when Mercutio fought Tybalt and Romeo fight Tybalt, both Mercutio and Tybalt died during the
fighting. Lastly, when Romeo and Juliet both killed themselves because when life was unfair to them.

For example, he demonstrates situational irony by when Juliet fooled everyone to think she was dead
on her wedding day but she didn t know that she fooled Romeo. The thing that makes it ironic was
that Juliet expected to fool everyone but she didn t expected to fool Romeo. For dramatic irony, when
Romeo said that he love Tybalt, but Tybalt didn t know that Romeo was married to his cousin Juliet
and being part of the family. This is dramatic irony because when Tybalt calls Romeo a villain, he
doesn t know that Romeo was part of the family. Finally the verbal irony, when Mercutio says to
Tybalt right before they fight, Look for me tomorrow and thy will find me a grave man, he means he
was serious. This is verbally ironic because when Mercutio gets into fight, he ends up getting killed by
Tybalt and literally was put in the

Beautiful Hawaiian Island
Lured by the promise of sandy shores and tropical paradise, people from all around the world find
themselves drawn to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Ideal with its depiction of exotic dancers, surfing
luxurious waves, and lush climate Hawaii truly seems to be the perfect getaway. However upon closer
inspection, it becomes clear that the media s portrayal of Hawaii is not entirely accurate. Since the
tourist industry is able to smooth over any troublesome detail that could create damage to their profit,
many remain unaware of the problems being faced. In reality, the alluring sandy beaches have now
become a home to the homeless. Outrageous increases in pricing have made it practically impossible
to find decent housing. Many are still unable to afford it even with prior ... Show more content on

We can fill up the unemployment lines, enter the military, work in the tourist industry, or leave Hawai

actually making a profit is through the prostitution of their culture.
However, even if Hawaiians manage to obtain full time jobs, the majority of the time it is not nearly
enough. Most families typically spend nearly 52 percent of their gross income for housing costs (Trask
139). It is because of this that many cannot afford to finance schooling, food, housing, and personal
belongings even with full time jobs. Powerless, Hawaiians cannot compete with the standard cost of
living on the islands, and are forced to retreat to the streets.
Among the list of facts that Trask portrays in her book, she states that Nearly one fifth of Hawai i s
resident population is classified as near homeless, that is, those for whom any mishap results in
immediate on the street homelessness. (Trask 139). This means that approximately 32% of the people

The story Teenage Wasteland, by Anne Tyler is a short narrative from a mother s perspective
describing her adolescent son and his struggles through school. Throughout the story, the son, Donny,
and the mother, Daisy, reverse their roles. Daisy becomes more dependent of her son while Donny
becomes less dependent of his mother. The mother also assumes the role of a bad student an a helpless
child, whereas Donny slowly gains more control of his mother as she had of him before. The author
also shows how Donny progressed from an innocent child into the adolescent he has become, losing
his innocence. Although Teenage Wasteland describes a struggling adolescent, the author uses

Manic Depression Research Paper
Manic Depression, or more commonly known as Bipolar disorder, is a disorder that causes the patient
affected to cycle through periods of depression and mania (NIMH n.d.). There are three general types
of Bipolar Disorder and then a fourth category for those who do not fall within any of the previous
categories. Bipolar I Disorder is defined by manic episodes that last at least 7 days and then a
depressive episode lasting at least two weeks. Symptoms may be severe enough to seek immediate
medical care. Bipolar II Disorder is defined by recurring depressive, and hypomanic episodes, but not
to the extent of Bipolar I. Cyclothymic Disorder is defined by numerous periods of hypomania and
depression that lasts longer than two years in adults, (for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Typical treatments for bipolar disorder include: psychotherapy, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, and
some Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (NIMH n.d.). In some cases, doctors will prescribe a
medication to combat the depression, a medication to combat the mania, and then medication to
combat any side effects caused by the other medications. Patients who exhibit a higher rate of
serotonin 5 HT binding prior to starting medication had a higher chance of recurring episodes, even
while taking medication, than did those who had a lower rate of serotonin 5 HT binding prior to
medication (Parsey 2013). Lithium was a drug that works within the nervous system to strengthen the
neural connections between cells to increase cell signaling therefore limiting the frequency and
intensity of manic depressive episodes. Lithium was anticipated to have success rates as high as 70%
80% but studies now indicate that Lithium really has a success rate of approximately 40% and comes
with a plethora of side effects (Surgeon General Report for Mental Health). Modafinil is an alpha

Jude And Sue In Grapes Of Wrath
People often make mistakes that they eventually come to regret. Simultaneously, there would be
someone close to that person that would want them to be in a happier state than the one they are
currently in. This is evident through the nature and predicament of the characters Jude and Sue in the
passage; Sue is unhappy because she regrets getting married, and Jude wishes that she was happier
and her misery would end. The nature and predicament of the characters are portrayed through the
literary elements that are present in the story. The nature and predicament of Jude and Sue are revealed
in the passage through the use of diction, tone, choice of detail, and symbolism. Initially, the diction
and tone used in the passage portray ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Notably, the use of symbolism in the story can be found through Jude s act of putting the rabbit out of
his misery from the trap, which symbolizes Jude s wishing for Sue to be put out of her misery. In
addition, the rabbit being trapped in the gin symbolizes the agony that Sue is enduring from being
trapped in her unwanted marriage. For example, in lines 11 through 13, stating, If it were a bad catch
by the hind leg, the animal would tug during the ensuing six hours till the iron teeth of the trap had
stripped the leg bone of its flesh, when, should a weak springed instrument enable it to escape, it
would die in the field from mortification of the limb. This quote explains the aftermath of what would
be considered a bad catch of the rabbit by the trap, as it would struggle to escape and fail to do so. As
the rabbit being trapped represents Sue being hopelessly trapped in her marriage, this symbolizes that
there is no escape from her marriage, as Sue feels she should be allowed to correct the major mistake
she had made. Since Jude put the rabbit out of its suffering, this also symbolizes the suffering that he
wants to end for Sue, as she suffers from her marriage that she would find relief from ending. Moving
on, the use of symbolism through the rabbit can be found in lines 19 through 21, which states The
faint click of the trap as dragged about by the writhing animal guided him now, and reaching the spot
he struck the rabbit on the back of the neck with the side of his palm, and it stretched itself out dead.
This quote refers to when Jude went out to kill the rabbit in order to end its suffering while it was
struggling to escape the trap in agonizing pain. Additionally, this symbolizes Jude s desire for Sue to
be relieved from her regret and agony of her undesirable marriage, as Jude feels that Sue should not

Title: 4 Things You Likely Don t Know About Facebook Marketing
Have you been marketing on Facebook but don t seem to be getting a lot out of it? Are you measuring
your social media activities? As a business, you definitely should be, but many don t. According to a
recent report, only 42% of business surveyed stated that they were able to measure their social
activities.
When you spend money on advertising, you should be paying attention to your return on investment
(ROI). However, in 2014, only 37% of business said they were able to measure this figure. Compare
that number to the 87% of businesses who said they planned to increase their time and money
investment on social media, and you can see that there is an issue with those figures.
Many businesses using social media today don t know what it is doing for them, but they continue to
spend time and money on those platforms. Would you spend money on a diet meal service but never
get on a scale to see if you are making improvements in your health and weight? Blindly spending
money on Facebook without tracking your results is essentially the same thing. Wouldn t you like to
have a successful marketing strategy that allows you to see positive results?
Don t get me wrong, there are plenty of ready to act prospects on Facebook that will fill your sales
funnel and give you the revenue you need. However, there are certain

Every song he sang was different then what he usual performs. These songs told stories of sadness and
his views on life itself. Some of these songs turned out to be big hits, and certainly made his listeners

what they felt, especially in the The River . Dystopia Dystopia is considered to be an imaginary place
or a state where everything in it is unpleasant or bad. A text that we have covered in this class that
relates to dystopia is Rumble Fish . This story deals with characters who are struggling through their
lives. The city and everything around them seems to low scale. Rusty James goes through his life
trying to be like his older brother by fighting, drinking, smoking, and joining gangs. To me their lives
seem to never get any better and are always stuck in different life problems. Pathos Pathos can be used
to engage a reader or viewers feelings. They tend to be qualities that make people feel sympathy or
sadness. Typically an appeal to pathos causes an audience to respond and identify what the writer
feels. In The Shootist, John Wayne exemplifies pathos throughout the movie. Western movies are full
of pathos that deals with characters facing life and death situations. In John Wayne s case, death was

Oppression of Women in 19th Century Literature
In the stories The Jewelry by Guy de Maupassant, The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, and The
Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the female characters are unequal and less important
than the men in society. The duties of women during this time period did not consist of much more
than seeing to her husband s needs and caring for the home and children. The authors show the lack of
independence women were allowed in the 1800s, especially in marriage. The stories express women s
cry for equality and their feelings of entrapment in their marriage. Each story elaborates on the

In the midst of her grieving, Mrs. Mallard pictures the time that is to come, when she will be able to
make all of her own decisions and will be given the freedom to live her life as she pleases. Suddenly,
she feels relieved more than she is upset. She knew that she would weep again when she saw the kind,
tender hands folded in death...but she saw beyond that bitter moment a long procession of years to
come that would belong to her absolutely (Booth 307). Her desire for freedom overcame the despair of
her husband s death. Chopin includes that Mrs. Mallard tried to fight off these ideas with her will
(Booth 307). Her embraced feelings of independence could have been viewed as forbidden. Although
she is excited by these thoughts, she tries to resist the pleasure she truly feels when she realizes the
freedom that she has gained. The words free, free, free! escaped from her mouth (Booth307). She
attempted to hold back the overwhelming desires for her own life. Perhaps she is hesitant to welcome
these feelings because of the public view on women s rights, and the potential consequences for those
who opposed such views. Despite the faithfulness and love Mrs. Mallard showed for her husband, the
extreme relief she felt in no longer having a marital obligation overpowered her feelings of sadness
and loss. At the end of the story, Mrs. Mallard s husband walked through her front door in the flesh,
but Mrs. Mallard s heart could not handle the excitement. The

INTRODUCTION
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) take the form of cylindrical carbon molecules and have untapped properties
that make them potentially useful in a wide variety of applications in nanotechnology, electronics,
optics, and other fields of materials science. They exhibit extraordinary strength and unique electrical
properties, apart from being efficient conductors of heat. Inorganic nanotubes have also been
synthesized, by researchers intrigued by this particular field.
Manufacturing a nanotube is dependent on applied quantum chemistry, specifically, orbital
hybridization. Nanotubes are composed entirely of sp2 bonds, like the ones seen in graphite. This
bonding structure, stronger than the sp3 bonds found in diamond, provides the molecules with their
unique strength. Nanotubes naturally align themselves into ropes held together by Van der Waals
forces. Under high pressure, nanotubes can merge together, trading some sp2 bonds for sp3 bonds,
thus acquiring great possibility for producing strong, unlimited length wires through high pressure
nanotube linking.
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are allotropes of carbon with a cylindrical nanostructure. Nanotubes have
been constructed with length to diameter ratio of up to 132,000,000:1, significantly larger than for any
other material.

study useful for measuring the duration of patency.
The aims of the study were clearly highlighted and were consistently referred to throughout the study.
Multiple factors were taken into account such as demographic characteristics of patients, the site of

Unlike the previous study, factors such as age, female gender, diabetes, catheter insertions before
dialysis and lack of maturation process were seen as possible factors that accounted for the failure of
Vascular Access.
Despite the sample size, the study cannot be representative to all populations because it was
undertaken in one hospital in Barcelona; other patient demographics such as race, socioeconomic
status were also not taken into consideration.
Due to the nature of the study being retrospective it was harder to control exposure and outcome.
The assessment of the patients was standardized; by using the same vascular surgeon to assess the
patients needing Vascular Access. However, the study failed to not mention how the other patient data
was collected thus increasing the number of confounding factors
Although statistical analysis was conducted and Confidence Intervals and P values were included the
main limitation was that there were no statistical analysis performed between AV fistulas and AV
grafts, this was because AV fistulas was the priority operation to perform unless other factors deemed
it not possible then an AV grafts would be created instead.
The study also recognised that confounding factors like vessel diameter could also contribute to for
such a high initial failure in radiocephalic fistulas but it was not directly measured. The study also

Budgets are used for detailed planning in the organization. Based on the budget, the resources are
allocated to different activities. Top management would create the budget but this budget should be
spread to low level management. One of the budget information problems is to cut short the expenses
in every department based on the constraints put up in budget. This budget information problem is
also rooted in the way resources are to be allocated in the organization. It can be said that, resource
allocation is the biggest and painful task after the declaration of budget. The budget information

What is the current shape of industry, is it the sunshine industry or a sun set industry. The analysis
around this area would help to analyse the future of industry are a whole.
What are the substitutes of products in this industry? How are these substitutes managed by different
firms?
What is the threat of new entrants and what is the cost of leaving this industry. Leaving the industry
should not be the best option but companies should always know the information about leaving the
company.
Solutions
The solutions to solve the budget information problem can be discussed as:
The management should have a policy to control both fixed and variable costs. Usually organizations
care about the fixed cost and they forgot about the variable costs. As discussed above the budget
information problem is that the control of fixed costs and variables costs is not communicated to the
low level management. The communication is the key to success for budget information problem. It is
recommended that management should adopt an approach of communication wherein the top
management can communicate freely with all the employees.

Health care delivery refers to the manner in which medical services are organized, managed and
provided, centered by the professionals who provide medical services to the Canadians. A good health
care delivery is to be able to provide and satisfied the patient with quality service in a timely manner.
In Canada, both the public and private sectors are participating in health care delivery which makes it

territories fund theses services with assistance from the federal government in the form of fiscal
transfers.) The provinces and territories each self will provide supplementary health benefits that are
not covered by the Act. (Health Canada, 2014)
B. Why is it a social problem? In other words, what makes it a social problem? (3 marks)
Social Problem definition: A condition that at least some people in a community view as being not
wanted.
Health Care delivery is a social problem in Ontario for many reasons such as Emergency Room wait
times, shortage of health care professionals, and care of seniors.
On top of this, according to an article from August 2012 by the Toronto Star Ontario hospitals have
the fewest hospital beds per person as they get the least public funding. Yet out of pocket health care
costs are the highest in the country. (Monsebraaten Star, 2012)
C. What is the origin/history of the social problem? Here you may want to look at origin and trend, if
applicable. (5 marks)
The origin of Health Care in Canada goes all the way back to 1914 when Canada was a colony of in

Internal And External Factors Of A Company
Internal and external factors Dyne and Pierce (2008) explained that there are many factors which are
inducing a change process in a company, as employees at all levels of organisational hierarchy are the
agents of change though they are also barriers to it. Change happens when the forces of external
environment are forcing to change existing circumstances. So companies wanting to change when
there is fall in market share, new product has been launched, which is caught in the environmental
scan. Managers therefore will try to stay of competition, may lead to analysing own strengths,
weakness, opportunities and threats. This leads to understanding what capabilities and competencies

These elements like communication pattern, delegation of tasks, leadership style are barriers when
they do not aid to mutual information exchange, and decision making to aid change process. Summers
(2011) opined that at individual employee level, there can barriers like no awareness and knowledge
about new QMS, or even they may not have motivation to unlearn the old and learn the new.
Acceptance and adoption of a new work method may find no employees as it conflicts with their
existing work standards. This is closely linked to their individual cultural beliefs, organisational work
culture which also affect individual abilities, which when falls short, needs new skill sets to be learnt.
Many employees are unable to cope with the steep learning curve, as each of them have individual
differences in learning new skills, show different levels of abilities in applying new work methods
(Dean and Bowen, 2008). Kerzner (2009) acknowledged that to bring in change to any technology,
financial support to change production systems is needed and hence the most liquid form of resource
to buy other resources is also important in organisations. Apart from that there are organisational
elements, like barriers of industry concentration, vertical integration which depends on competition,

Yet, the sharing of taxes has never been consistent nor fair in the United States. According to the Tax Fairness.org Facts Sheets, say that many wealthy Americans have ways to avoid paying their fair share in taxes (Americanstax.org). Everyone has mixed feelings when it comes to the tax topic, because most of our societies consist of working class individuals and even below the poverty line group. So when we talk about the wealthy, is that 1%, whom are gaining most of the incomes. This is not a surprise to American citizens. However, even though Donald Trump s proposition sounds very interesting, killing the estate tax would cost [roughly] $20 billion a year (Hunt, par.4), and we cannot afford more debt added to our budged in the United States. • 9. Nanacha s Digger There is a fierce competition going on every night in the woods, a secret ritualistic meeting of disenfranchised businessmen. Each armed with a shovel they challenge is to dig for as long as you can. The nightly competition attracts a nameless and silent protagonist, an office worker who spends his days fantasizing about the act of digging. He must face some fierce competition in order to make it to the top and beat the man who silently watches over the event. Digger is an example that in the world of the absurd anything can become a competition. This short film which features no dialogue and a lot of digging is more fun in execution than concept. The late night rituals the men perform in the short makes it feel as if this is just an event that has been and always will be, steeped in a deep tradition with synchronized dances and an unspoken language that you have to dig to prove your worth. Although it is hard to imagine this drawn out into feature length as a short film it is very successful at creating this odd, funny yet endearing culture of a bunch of businessmen digging holes in the middle of the forest while being cheered on by their peers. Why Vaccination Should Be Mandatory Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School Nundi Hall Travis GND 1015: First Year Seminar November 21, 2015 Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School Ever since the invention of the first smallpox vaccine more than two centuries ago, there has been plenty of controversy over the morality, ethics, effectiveness, and safety of vaccination and immunization. It has recently been argued whether laws should be introduced that render some or all vaccines obligatory for all children (Singer). Parents, health care specialists, nurses, teachers and children all have an important stake in this issue. Parents argue that it is they who should have the ultimate decision making right on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Nurses and health care officials oppose that view on the grounds that by making vaccination rates in children incomplete, we expose all children to contracting the vaccine preventable diseases. If this is a risk some parents are willing to take, but others face unwillingly, there is obviously a propitious platform for debate. It is in fact irresponsible and a violation of good citizen when parents oppose vaccinating their children. It is important to unify certain rules related to vaccination and not make it the prerogative of a particular public or private school to decide whether or not to accept an unvaccinated child. It would only be right to end all debate by passing a binding country wide law to make certain vaccines (against ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Myth of Individualism The Myth of Individualism America is famous for the reputation of being the land of opportunity, and for generations immigrants have fled to the United States to experience the freedom and equality our government lays claim to. Class distinction provides not only feelings of inferiority for the lower classes, but monetary inadequacy as well. Higher class children have an advantage from birth since they are guaranteed large sums of money at some time in their lives. Furthermore, it is known that it takes money to make money in a capitalistic system and so the inheritance laws only widen the gap between the rich and poor, keeping the lower class exactly where they started: on the bottom. The American dream can only offer empty promises of equal opportunity to succeed. People are driven to work hard by the notion of success without having almost any chance to succeed. However, because the American Dream is so deeply embedded in our culture, it greatly influences our perception of others and our perception of success. The all you need is hard work to succeed mindset has encouraged Americans to flaunt costly possessions to give the persona of a hard worker, while Americans who do not own extravagant objects are looked at as lazy or incompetent. In reality, most cases are opposite. It is undeniable that an American laboring long hour for minimum wage works harder than an American who doesn t maintain a job because he lives off inheritance money, but that is not what the myth has taught us. Even for those who have completed the American Dream, it s not necessary a happy ending. In the story Ragged Dick, Horatio Alger writes about a young man s progress from poor background that ... Are you measuring your social media activities? As a business, you definitely should be, but many don t. According to a recent report, only 42% of business surveyed stated that they were able to measure their social activities. When you spend money on advertising, you should be paying attention to your return on investment (ROI). However, in 2014, only 37% of business said they were able to measure this figure. Compare that number to the 87% of businesses who said they planned to increase their time and money investment on social media, and you can see that there is an issue with those figures. Many businesses using social media today don t know what it is doing for them, but they continue to spend time and money on those platforms. Would you spend money on a diet meal service but never get on a scale to see if you are making improvements in your health and weight? Blindly spending money on Facebook without tracking your results is essentially the same thing. Wouldn t you like to have a successful marketing strategy that allows you to see positive results? Ain t nobody like to be alone Bruce Springsteen, Hungry Heart In 1980, Bruce Springsteen released a song called Hungry Heart . This song is a very gloomy in a sense. Bruce tells us a story about man who impulsively leaves his family and moves away. These lyrics Everybody needs a place to rest/Everybody wants to have a home/ Don t make no difference what nobody says/ Ain t nobody like to be alone/ tells us that the man has regretted what he had done and wants to be back home. A very emotional song and the message I got from these quoted lyrics is that nobody wants to be lonely or alone. Some people hide behind their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Every song he sang was different then what he usual performs. These songs told stories of sadness and his views on life itself. Some of these songs turned out to be big hits, and certainly made his listeners to think. This album is just as emotional as any novel or film. The narrators in the songs made us feel what they felt, especially in the The River . Dystopia Dystopia is considered to be an imaginary place or a state where everything in it is unpleasant or bad. A text that we have covered in this class that relates to dystopia is Rumble Fish . This story deals with characters who are struggling through their lives. The city and everything around them seems to low scale. Rusty James goes through his life trying to be like his older brother by fighting, drinking, smoking, and joining gangs. To me their lives seem to never get any better and are always stuck in different life problems. Pathos Pathos can be used to engage a reader or viewers feelings. • 32. Oppression of Women in 19th Century Literature Oppression of Women in 19th Century Literature In the stories The Jewelry by Guy de Maupassant, The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, and The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the female characters are unequal and less important than the men in society. The duties of women during this time period did not consist of much more than seeing to her husband s needs and caring for the home and children. The authors show the lack of independence women were allowed in the 1800s, especially in marriage. The stories express women s cry for equality and their feelings of entrapment in their marriage. Each story elaborates on the importance of social class in the 19th century, how women were presented in society, and how society ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the midst of her grieving, Mrs. Mallard pictures the time that is to come, when she will be able to make all of her own decisions and will be given the freedom to live her life as she pleases. Suddenly, she feels relieved more than she is upset. She knew that she would weep again when she saw the kind, tender hands folded in death...but she saw beyond that bitter moment a long procession of years to come that would belong to her absolutely (Booth 307). Her desire for freedom overcame the despair of her husband s death. Chopin includes that Mrs. Mallard tried to fight off these ideas with her will (Booth 307). Her embraced feelings of independence could have been viewed as forbidden. Although she is excited by these thoughts, she tries to resist the pleasure she truly feels when she realizes the freedom that she has gained. The words free, free, free! escaped from her mouth (Booth307). She attempted to hold back the overwhelming desires for her own life. Perhaps she is hesitant to welcome these feelings because of the public view on women s rights, and the potential consequences for those who opposed such views. Despite the faithfulness and love Mrs. Mallard showed for her husband, the extreme relief she felt in no longer having a marital obligation overpowered her feelings of sadness and loss. At the end of the story, Mrs. Mallard s husband walked through her front door in the flesh, but Mrs. Mallard s heart could not handle the excitement. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Effect Of Carbon Nanotubes On Other Fields Of... 1 INTRODUCTION 1 2 HISTORY 2 3 DISCOVERY 3 4 CLASSIFICATION OF CNT 5 5 PROPERTIES OF CNT 7 6 ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES 8 7 APPLICATIONS 8 8 FIELD EMISSION 9 9 CONCLUSION 10 10 REFERENCES 10 INTRODUCTION Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) take the form of cylindrical carbon molecules and have untapped properties that make them potentially useful in a wide variety of applications in nanotechnology, electronics, optics, and other fields of materials science. They exhibit extraordinary strength and unique electrical properties, apart from being efficient conductors of heat. Inorganic nanotubes have also been synthesized, by researchers intrigued by this particular field. Manufacturing a nanotube is dependent on applied quantum chemistry, specifically, orbital hybridization. Nanotubes are composed entirely of sp2 bonds, like the ones seen in graphite. This bonding structure, stronger than the sp3 bonds found in diamond, provides the molecules with their unique strength. Nanotubes naturally align themselves into ropes held together by Van der Waals forces. Under high pressure, nanotubes can merge together, trading some sp2 bonds for sp3 bonds, thus acquiring great possibility for producing strong, unlimited length wires through high pressure nanotube linking. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are allotropes of carbon with a cylindrical nanostructure. Nanotubes have been constructed with length to diameter ratio of up to 132,000,000:1, significantly larger than for any other material. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The study sampled 544 patients needing vascular access at a renal service of the University Hospital Valle de Hebron of Barcelona between 1 January 1985 and 31 December 1997. This long time period (13years) makes the study useful for measuring the duration of patency. The aims of the study were clearly highlighted and were consistently referred to throughout the study. Multiple factors were taken into account such as demographic characteristics of patients, the site of VA, primary renal disease and duration of function. Primary renal disease was categorised into: glomerular, interstitial, vascular cystic (ADPKD), or diabetic nephropathy and others. This made it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the previous study, factors such as age, female gender, diabetes, catheter insertions before dialysis and lack of maturation process were seen as possible factors that accounted for the failure of Vascular Access. Despite the sample size, the study cannot be representative to all populations because it was undertaken in one hospital in Barcelona; other patient demographics such as race, socioeconomic status were also not taken into consideration. Due to the nature of the study being retrospective it was harder to control exposure and outcome. The assessment of the patients was standardized; by using the same vascular surgeon to assess the patients needing Vascular Access. However, the study failed to not mention how the other patient data was collected thus increasing the number of confounding factors Although statistical analysis was conducted and Confidence Intervals and P values were included the main limitation was that there were no statistical analysis performed between AV fistulas and AV grafts, this was because AV fistulas was the priority operation to perform unless other factors deemed it not possible then an AV grafts would be created instead. The study also recognised that confounding factors like vessel diameter could also contribute to for such a high initial failure in radiocephalic fistulas but it was not directly measured. The study also failed to also take into consideration late referrals that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Internal And External Factors Of A Company Internal and external factors Dyne and Pierce (2008) explained that there are many factors which are inducing a change process in a company, as employees at all levels of organisational hierarchy are the agents of change though they are also barriers to it. Change happens when the forces of external environment are forcing to change existing circumstances. So companies wanting to change when there is fall in market share, new product has been launched, which is caught in the environmental scan. Managers therefore will try to stay of competition, may lead to analysing own strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats. Acceptance and adoption of a new work method may find no employees as it conflicts with their existing work standards. This is closely linked to their individual cultural beliefs, organisational work culture which also affect individual abilities, which when falls short, needs new skill sets to be learnt. Many employees are unable to cope with the steep learning curve, as each of them have individual differences in learning new skills, show different levels of abilities in applying new work methods (Dean and Bowen, 2008). Kerzner (2009) acknowledged that to bring in change to any technology, financial support to change production systems is needed and hence the most liquid form of resource to buy other resources is also important in organisations.
