Major Forces Influencing Human Behavior At Work
Identify the Major Forces Influencing Human Behavior at Work

Abstract
Human Relations is defined as the skill or ability to work effectively through and with other people by
Lamberton, L. H., Minor, L. (2014) . However, there are external and internal influencing forces
regarding human behavior that impact how we interact with others or behave in the workplace. It is
vital for all employees in a company (regardless if they work in the Human Relations Department or)
to be aware of influencing factors so they can not only be successful with their performance, but be
successful as a team and help bolster the company s successes. Some of the most important
influencing factors are organizational climate/culture, work/life balance, Supervisor/Management,
conflict/resolution, job performance/responsibility, and personal characteristics.
Keywords: human relations, external and internal influencing forces
Human Relations Written Assignment
PLO 6 As stated before in the beginning paragraph, there are external and internal influencing forces
regarding human behavior that impact how we interact with others or behave in the workplace. A
major influencer is organizational climate/culture. According to The Human Relations 5th Edition
Text Book (2014) describes organizational climate as Organizational climate affects the way
employees feel and act because it is the emotional weather within an organization; it affects employee

The Modern Age Of Islam
The Islamic world has tried to become strong again through both secularism and religion, with neither
answer showing a complete, absolute advantage over the other. This is shown through Atta Turk
completely removing Islam out of the newly formed Turkish society, the Baath Party s secular
ideology while still committing massacre, and Hezbollah using a radicalized form of religion to gain
political strength.
The beginning of the modern age of Islam can be marked with Napoleon s conquest of Egypt and the
subsequent conquest by Britain. This defeat indicated to the leaders of the Islamic world that not only
were they defeated by a Western power, but also by an inferior Western power. Thus, leaders of the
Islamic world, such as Muhammad Ali and al Afghani said that to create a successful society, we must
emulate the West to become strong. This ideology held largely throughout the Islamic world until the
creation of Israel. When Israel fought and destroyed Arab nations in the Six Days War, secular
governments were no longer as widely accepted, leading to the creation of Islamic states and the
further progression of Islamic Fundamentalism. Islamic Fundamentalism uses radicalized Islam,
which can usually be traced directly back to Wahhabism, to try and gain power and political influence
over the region through terror. This clearly corrupted thought clashes with the secular, although also in
many cases corrupted, powers of the world. These opposing viewpoints show that there is no

Assess The Significance Of Historical Events Found In The...
Did you know that in prison camps, the prisoners were forced to do hard physical labor? Torture and
death within concentration camps were frequent? The Holocaust was the Nazis attempt to wipe
out all the Jewish people and their culture. Based on the Nazis racist and anti Semitic
ideology. In the novel once, the author creates a character called Felix an orphan who survives the
Holocaust with his best companion Zelda. The book once educates the reader on the significant
historical event. Two historical events mentioned in the book once is the book burning and
transporting the
Jews to the concentration camps.

Felix views the book burners as if they don t
enjoy reading Jewish book. But as readers, these are just the author s hint on telling us that the book
burners are Nazis. This also shows that the author is trying to relate to a historical event so that the
reader understands more about the
Holocaust. I agree that the author should imply an
element of historical events throughout the novel because it allows the reader to understand how
they individually might have responded to the Holocaust situation
Furthermore, during the Holocaust, the Nazis transported the Jews in small railway carts. The
Jews went in proper living conditions. The Jews sealed in a cart and had to suffer from intense heat in
the summer and freezing temperatures In the winter. They were not provided food or water
for several days. how would you feel if you had been kept in cages like an animal for several
days with no food or water? You wouldn t even see the outdoors. In the novel, once Felix and the
orphan kids were in this situation where they are kept in carriages a train carriage. They have
nothing and they are very hungry Felix describes the ride as painful and miserable.im sure I will feel

Woman´s Right on Abortions
Personal Choices Women s reproductive rights have been endangered from early history. A woman s
job included housework and child birth. Around 1920, women started receiving their choices and
rights. In the 21st century, women are looked at with fairness and receive equal opportunities, but
there is one right being stripped from women: the choice of using birth control and aborting
pregnancy. Society frowns upon aborting a fetus in the womb, but it fails to realize the circumstantial
standing each woman is placed in and should accept the decision a woman decides for her future
whether it is to use birth control or abort her pregnancy. Women today may have more choices but it
has not always been this way. Women of the past often didn t get much a choice about their sexuality
(Bringle). However by 1950s, a pill to prevent pregnancy was created. Though this contraception was
created, it was hard to get. A birth control advocate, Margaret Sanger, attacked legislative restrictions
on birth control , informed many women the uses and positive aspects of using contraception, and
encouraged doctors to give contraception guidance by opening the first birth control clinic in New
York in 1916 (Bringle). Even after the widespread information of birth control, the accessibility of it
today is low. This pill is a necessity for women in today s world and should be made more accessible.
To use contraception, a doctor has to prescribe it and this prescription is rarely covered by

Marriage By David Popenoe And Barbara Dafoe Whitehead...
Marriage: a fairy tale where every moment leads to happiness and everlasting love. In the article What
s Happening to Marriage? the authors David Popenoe and Barbara Dafoe Whitehead reverse the fairy
tale of marriage. The article conveys a different aspect of marriage that marriage is weakening and
divorce is on the rise. The authors believe men and women of this time have more struggles when
marrying one another than when their parents or grandparents got married. The authors arguments are
well supported, but their use of fallacies outweighs their theories. David Popenoe and Barbara Dafoe
Whitehead claim that in today s society marriage is becoming more of a trust issue than previously
thought. They believe marriages have none of these elements: ...an economic bond of mutual
dependency; a social bond supported by the extended family and larger community; and a spiritual
bond upheld by religious doctrine, observance and faith (520). Marriage is becoming more of a
couples relationship and losing meaning in society s culture; therefore, the rate of divorce is increasing
causing people to be cautious of marriage. Popenoe and Whitehead use numerous statistics about
divorce rate; however, they only examine the women s point of view. According to the authors, this is
not the first time marriage has gone to the dumps and recovered causing the authors to delay on
writing marriage s obituary. The authors of the article value a considerable amount of appeals that are

Social phobia may be presented differently by individuals of other cultures. Suk Choo
(1997) found that individuals from East Asian cultures develop anxiety related more to offending
others, compared with individuals from Western cultures, who develop anxiety related to fear of being
scrutinized by others. Culture and ethnicity are important variables in group therapy because they set
up norms and positions of power, and can both enhance and distance a group
(Gladding, 2012). Groups often replicate cultural norms members practice outside of the group.
Within the group, members can use their cultural differences to enhance group growth and
effectiveness, and apply what they have experienced and learned to their lives outside of group
(i.e., social microcosm; Gladding, 2012). Suggestions for future research to help increase social
microcosm include incorporating more males and cultural/ethic variations of group participants and
leaders, running groups specifically for ethnic minorities, and using non Western group therapies for
multicultural individuals with social phobia.

Heathcliff Addiction
Within Emily Bronte s Wuthering Heights, the theme of love as an addiction is
consistently weaved throughout the pages of the novel. It is seen in many characters, but Heathcliff is
the most clear example of this theme. His entire life and all of the decisions that he makes are based
off of the fact that he is addicted to loving Catherine, and can not get over her. There are many ways in
which readers can see that Heathcliff s love is an addiction, rather than a normal love story.
Addiction generally begins when a person is looking to fill a void within their life. Heathcliff grew up
as an adopted child, and after Mr. Earnshaw died, he had no parental figures in his life. HIndley
treated him poorly throughout his childhood, so Heathcliff

Personal Strengths Of Personality Types
Growing up shapes and defines our personalities, our personalities develop the most based on our
experiences as young children. I once had a pre school teacher write about who I was at close to the
age of four, this is what she said, Ivy she presents herself as being very timid and shy, but can be as
rough and tough as any of the boys. She likes to play with the boys and is rumored to have a
boyfriend. She also likes to giggle with the girls and becomes very excited to see her friends and her
brother Evan. She has the sweetest grin and assures her friends that Mommy will be back soon . Even
as a young child my teacher was able to gather my personality accurately and some of those traits
have stayed with me as a growing adult, I believe they define me and make me unique.
In the five minute personality test about animals, it clearly states that I have a similar if not exact
personality as a golden retriever. This particular personality type is very sensitive and caring which
suits myself perfectly. The golden retriever personality type is very accommodating which means we
get along well and can adapt if needed. We are very calm which allows us to evaluate any situation
and hold our ground. We are also affirming when it comes to certain things we will hold our ground.
These strengths are what help us get along well with others and make friends easily. Making friends
has always come easily for me but I can come across as reserved or indecisive which is why I

Poverty And Natural Beauty In The Country Of Venezuela
Venezuela is a country of natural beauty and full of natural resources. Its levels of raw materials and
the diversity of its people, makes of Venezuela a beautiful country in South America and around the
world. According to the Venezuelan Government website, Venezuelan history goes back 15,000 to
5.000 years before our era. But the real history begins in the 1400s when Christopher Columbus
became the first Spanish explorer to touch the Venezuelan lands in 1498 (Oberhelman, ph2). Follow
by Spanish conquer Alonso de Ojeda who actually gave the country its name, Venezuela became
another conquered country with so much hiding treasures not known to the world yet. The country
became a must have by other European nations, including Great Britain who at that time, owned the
country of Guyana which it borders Venezuela. The Spanish conquers remained in Venezuela for more
than 300 years, and it wasn t until 1821 that a man named Simon Bolivar along with other
revolutionaries liberated Venezuela from the Spanish conquers and acquiring independence for the
country. Venezuela is a country that throughout the years has tried to become a democracy country. In
1998, Hugo Chavez was elected president of Venezuela with the intentions of making a Venezuela a
better country. His intentions were to rewrite a new constitution in order to improve the state and fight
poverty (Coronel, 2008). Years passed and Venezuela has become worst compared to what it was

Analysis Of Grendel By John Gardner
As humans, do we consciously form our own identities? After all, one is rarely who they aspire to be.
Take, for example, John Gardner s character Grendel. Although Grendel seems to intentionally
perpetuate his wretched state of being, it is also clear that this process creates, or is the product of
some sort of internal struggle between what he considers to be the two dark realities, the self and the
world (Gardner 47). For many individuals, including Grendel, existence appears to be nothing more
than a never ending series of conflicts, mostly between the actual state of things and our idealistic
perception of what they should be. These conflicts, whether realized or not, generate a great deal of
emotional and psychological turmoil. This idea is present in nearly every religion and school of
philosophy and has been given many names throughout history, but the more recent technical term for
this flaw in human thought is cognitive dissonance .
The term cognitive dissonance describes the emotional negativity that results from an inconsistency of
thought; when two things that should add up just don t. It is by this perpetual struggle that man defines
himself. Cognitive dissonance shapes the way we think and often manifests itself as the type of
behavior that creates even more confusion. Grendel s character is a somewhat extreme representation
of this process. He often acts in a way that is incongruent with his emotions, and despite having
realized the absurd nature of his

Characterism In The Lady Finger
In return for these privileges which the woman has been bestowed in Islam, she has also certain
responsibilities of which the most important is to provide a home for her family and to bring up her
children properly. In the home the woman rules as queen and a Muslim man is in a sense the guest of
his wife at home. The home and the larger family structure in which she lives are for the Muslims
woman as her whole world. To be cut off from it would be like being cut off from the world or like
dying. She find the meaning of her existence in this extended family structure which is constructed so
as to give her existence in the extended family structure which is constructed so as to give her the
maximum possibility of realizing her basic needs and fulfilling herself.

Lincoln and JFK are and how they re somewhat connected.
First of all, this is a theory. A theory is when a system of ideas are intended to explain something such
as an event. There are many different theories in the world. Theories can be crazy and some of the
theories are really believable. Theories can be about anything if you think about, all you need are the
facts to back it up. Imagine all the theories that can be made. Some popular theories are that chemicals

Even things that you think don t have a connection will probably have a connection. For instance
Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy have connections too. They have so many connections
conspiracy theorists think they represent each other in a different dimension and in a different time. In
the next couple sentences the word both is going to be used. A LOT. A connection that they have is
that they were both elected into congress in the year 46. Lincoln was elected into congress in 1846 and
JFK was elected into congress in 1946. Both of their last names have 7 letters in it. Both were
particularly concerned with Civil Rights. Both of their wives had a miscarriage while in the white
house.Lincoln was elected in 1860 and JFK was elected in 1960. It gets weirder from here. Trust me.
They were both shot on a Friday. Both were shot in the head and wait for it. Both were succeeded by
people both named Johnson and the Johnsons were both born in 08. The Johnsons were also both of
their vice presidents. Lincoln s successor was born in 1808 and JFK s was born in 1908. Both of their
murderers are known by their 3 names. A crazy thing is that both of their full names equal up to 15
letters. Here comes the Ford connection as some people call it. Lincoln was shot at a theater named
Ford. JFK was shot in a car called Lincoln made by Ford. Lastly, were both assassinated in the
presence of their wife. These conciendesces or connections can be fake, but

Similarities Between Antigone And Thomas King
Society plays a crucial role in everyone s lives as it directs the way one behaves, observes, and
interacts. Antigone and Borders written by Sophocles and Thomas King respectively, demonstrate the
roles and decisions executed by the protagonists according to societal expectations. To briefly
describe, Antigone is a play set in the ancient Geek era where the protagonist, Antigone, breaks a law
that holds the punishment of death, to give her traitorous brother a respectable funeral. On the other
hand, Borders is a short story set in modern day times where the protagonist, the narrator s mother, is
attempting to cross the border to visit her daughter without surrendering her Blackfoot status to a
Canadian or American citizenship. Both women ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To emphasize, the phrase we had nowhere to go, that neither the Americans nor the Canadians would
let us in indicates that the narrator s mother knows that her decision to drive from border to border is
making the trip difficult not only for herself but her son as well (King 312). Not to mention, it also
illustrates that the mother is trying to dismiss her motherly characteristics like being nurturing and
affectionate and put up a hardened exterior because she wants acceptance for herself. However, she
did express some hope for her son to ensure him that they will gain justice eventually, which
demonstrates that even if she tries to venture out of the societal norms, her motherly instincts will
always be there (King 312). Moreover, it establishes that mother is willing to push until she gets her
way which is again typical of male qualities. Therefore, the violation of the societal expectations
reveals the narrator s mother s strong will to surpass the fear of the aftermath by not complying to
government authorities from two bordering

Participatory Arts In Alfred Hitchcock s Rear Window
As art slowly develops through the twentieth century, moving past voyeurism and historical art where
it promotes passive spectatorial consumption, the role of the audience has evolved too. From the
traditional historical passive visitor in perspective and panoptic spaces, art has gradually evolved into
turning the spectator into an active contributor who not only engages with the work but also becomes
the co author in its creation and completion. Claire Bishop points out, art must be directed against
spectatorship, against the passivity of the masses paralysed by the spectacle of modern life . This not
only applies to art but to objects, image, stories, films etc. The concept of participatory arts can be
demonstrated through the Total Theatre ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both series fulfils the desire to antagonize the public and stage provocation. The artist relies upon the
participants creative exploitation of the situation the artist offers, just as participants require the artist s
cue and direction. This symbiotic relationship is a continual play of mutual tension, recognition and
dependency. As boundaries between art forms become more seamless and permeable and as new
technology places production within reach of an increasingly sophisticated audience, participation art
gains more acceptance. Since participatory arts are incomplete without participation from the
audience, more studies must be undertaken to understand the needs of the audience as they are purely
voluntary partners and are able to make or break the project. To cater to different groups, the project
shall not be designed to be excessively bureaucratic. It must able to communicate and interact within a
broad and diversified audience about issues directly relevant to their life. Moving forward, the state of

The Creation Of A Utopian Civilization Essay
In an imperfect world such as ours, the idea of a utopia capable of satisfying all needs and desires has
been attempted to be made reality time and time again. However, few have succeeded because it is
difficult if not impossible to accommodate a large population of people with varying interests. The key
to maintaining a utopian civilization is ensuring that all basic needs are met in order to avoid the
overthrow of the established government regulation activity. The creation of Bentopia is centered
around the goal to make the most efficient society possible while still allowing citizens the freedom to
choose. As the architectural committee, we strived to develop both public and personal spaces that
optimize the use of space in a non wasteful manner, while also keeping in mind the climate,
geographical location of our city, and environmental impact our structures have. The way we have
organized houses, shopping malls, governmental and corporate buildings within our utopia is meant to
maximize resources we have on hand through the division of the city into three districts. The most
important considerations when creating a layout fit for a utopia fifty years into the future is offering a
comfortable, sustainable lifestyle while still retaining core values of free will and equality. The
practical distribution of material goods should not jeopardize basic rights that are standard within an
ideal society. When first approaching the dilemma on how to allot land, the urban

William Shakespeare s Henry Iv
Throughout the play Henry IV part 1, Shakespeare was able to depict the concept of honor through
many different individuals. Three main characters that Shakespeare choose to display the concept of
honor are Prince Hal, Hotspur and Falstaff. However, each of these characters interpret the word
honor differently. Hotspur has an obsession with honor and believes it s one of the most important
roles a leader has to show. He relates honor to the duties that he serves on the battlefield and
repetition. While Falstaff believes that honor is a word that only stays with people who have died,
therefore he finds no importance in seeking honor. Prince Hal was able to find a balance between the
two which allowed him to show key features in a leader ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, he has defeated Archibald and taken prisoners which included few with high political
status.Including Mordake, Earl of Fife, and the leader of Archibald s eldest son. King Henry then
begins to express how impressed he is of Hotspurs achievements. In envy that my Lord
Northumberland should be the father to so blest son: A son who is the theme of honor s tongue. Within
this statement the King is implying that Hotspurs father (Northumberland) is blessed to have such a
successful and fearless son, and that he is a perfect example of a man with honor. This truly shapes the
concept of honor that Hotspur takes on through the rest of the play. Since he has now been so honored
by the King for his bloodthirsty acts on the battlefield Hotspur nearly became brainwashed and
allowed his words to shape his every thought. He then made a plan to ransom Mortimer. In which the
King soon refused to do. Hotspur viewed this as a dishonorable action of the King so he then seeked
out to overthrow the King with Northumberland and Worcester to regain the honor that was lost
through the Kings mistreatment to him. This shows that Hotspur believes he will gain honor by
fighting in battles, and even if he dies he still would die with great honor. Hotspur goes on to say To
pluck bright honor from the pale faced moon, or dive into the bottom of the deep. This projects how
far Hotspur is

Analysis Of Mlk Letter To Martin Luther King
Today in the United States, we are told that we are one of the best when it comes to having freedom;
of course that was not always the case. As a nation, we have come a long way; but unfortunately we
still are not all equal. As for 53 years ago, Marin Luther King Jr. was the man trying his best to pave
the way for having equal freedoms for everyone, especially blacks. With the letter that MLK wrote, it
ended up being more than a letter, but a piece of literature that was eventually published in his book.
He is excellent when it comes to his words, he was able to speak his mind and portray his words
emotionally. His thoughts were well thought out and written passionately, especially since they were
written in a jail cell. This letter started a pivotal movement in the civil rights era, and is something

given rights. I have never experienced oppression or seen a severe incident in person but I cannot
image what King and his family had to go through before and after him being arrested. I also could
not image what our world would took like today if this letter had never been written. If not, our whole
country could be oppressed and would still be running directly by the rich white communities. Obama

Ficciones, by Jorge Luis Borges Essay
In life it is necessary to have fantasy, because without it, life would be dull and meaningless. Life
would be so different without dreams, since they are what motivate humans to keep on moving
forward in order to achieve their goals. This is what Jorge Luis Borges is trying to explain to the
reader in the book Ficciones which is very confusing, but also very deep in meaning. These stories
demonstrate a theme of reality vs. fiction which is fascinating because in many of the readings fantasy
is required at some point to accomplish a purpose or goal. Each unique story hides a meaning in the
text which is a lesson to be learned. The confusion that is caused is similar to a labyrinth in which the

Reality becomes so insignificant to even remember. Hladik, protagonist of The Secrete Miracle, is a
man bound to be persecuted on account of his ethnicity and political ideals. Similar to the United
States, a country where so many cultures and backgrounds are crammed together, where at one point

reader understands that the protagonists is human, and suffers, cries, laughs, hungers, loves like them,

Your goal may be to practice good oral hygiene while at home, but the physical act of using dental
floss can cause your gums to be sore. If this has been causing you to skip out on flossing each day, it is
time to look for an alternative method that can be effective at cleaning between your teeth. Here are
some great alternatives to flossing.
Floss Pick
While a floss pick will use string dental floss, this dental tool as a few benefits that make it a better
option. Having a handle on the floss allows you to get between teeth far back in your mouth. This

The Effect of Globalization on Fashion with Special...
ct Analyse the effect of Globalization on fashion with special reference to the impact of
Japanese designs on the European scene.
The definition of globalisation is quite complex and extremely controversial. However globalization
with reference to the fashion industry helps defines the development of what has been termed as
„world fashion‟. Preferred garments of young people is quite often the same. A phenomenon made
possible by the exploitative mechanisms of globalization. The globalization of clothing manufacture,
distribution, retailing online, and the global commodity advertising of both designer and high street
brands, has impacted significantly on fashion and the way the industry operates. Alternatively the
progress of the fashion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A number of Japanese fashion brands are beginning to rival the popularity of
American and European brands, as a result of unique trends and cutting edge style.
It is the talent for producing such cutting edge and uniquely styled fashion of the Japanese designers
that provided the inspiration for the „cute‟ Riot Grrrl style in Britain during the
1990‟s. In an article by writer Sharon Kinsella (1997) titled „The Japanization of European youth‟
Kinsella recognises that childlike elements from the Japanese designers began to emerge in the
fashion‟s of the 1990‟s amongst the European consumers, as they began to wear „cute‟ baby doll
dresses or old fashioned frilly frocks with Dr Martins . The „Riot Grrrl‟ style also known as the
grunge trend of the 1990‟s formed in Britain was directly and indirectly influenced by the Japanese
„cute‟ culture, first created by Japanese designers in the
1980‟s, which saw the Kawaii style of adorable, innocent, simple, gentle, and child like fashion
dominate the Japanese popular culture of it‟s time. This is a strong example of how globalization has
allowed the designers of today to combine different elements of design, and trends from different
cultures globally, to produce new designs and trends that are more of a cutting edge style and
uniqueness. Japanese brands also made their presence felt in the highend market, attempting to
combine

Comparing Faustian Legends In Washington Irving s The...
Faustian legends are common in many countries. The Devil and Tom Walker by Washington Irving
and The Devil and Daniel Webster by Stephen Vincent Benet bring the idea of making a deal with the
devil, and the repercussions of that deal, to American Literature. Each author writes a folktale with
uniquely American characters. The similarities and differences in both short stories depict the
philosophy of American culture. Because both short stories are folktales, the reader notices many
common elements. One common element that is shared by both short stories is the that the readers can
infer through their writing that both authors do not respect the way that the settlers treated the Native
Americans. This can be seen in Washington Irving s

Valuation Reflection
Well this is the last Module for the semester and I am very happy that I was able to make it through
the whole semester. I look forward to using the information I have learn when writing all 15 modules.
So, know I will discuss the last Module 15, which targets the company Family Dollar, which has
started to become very popular, because at this store we are able to find everything you need and
cheaper compared to the bigger stores like Wal Mart and Target. So, let me discuss what the book
discusses on Market Based Valuation. Because Family Dollar is considered to be a discount store
which low and middle income family are able to find reasonable prices, the funny thing is that even
higher income families shop there too realizing the discount they may find themselves. Family Dollar
has been able to earn an annual revenue for about $8 billion dollars. Even the revenues have been
increasing for the last five years from twenty five percent to about sixty percent. Here we will learn
the valuation techniques using market multiplies, not like the valuation techniques introduced in the
early chapters. I know sometimes it s hard to understand all these different methods that have been
described in the other chapters, but I have been reading it is making it easier to understand them.
Again, like I mentioned earlier, I will try to explain what I understand from this chapter. Let s start
with the first section that talks about valuation model using the market multiples. When using the

Interdisciplinary Care And Collaboration Analysis
The Importance of Interdisciplinary Care and Collaboration
Have you ever wondered what makes corporations successful? Have you ever asked yourself if by
giving the best of your effort as an employee, you could be a key piece to the success of your team?
Steve Jobs was so right to say Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done
by a team of people (Whiting, 2013) and the medical field is not the exception. Interdisciplinary care
and team collaboration are based on building great teamwork, maintaining alive the principles of
collaboration, and minimizing the barriers in coordination of care. (Scott, 2014)
First, building great teamwork is one of the most important factors to achieve successful
interdisciplinary care. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most important thing to remember is that small changes and daily intakes done individually for
the common purpose of the team can make a huge difference in the impact of a corporation, a state or
even a whole country. If we, as professionals in the medical field, do not produce these small but so
necessary changes, we will lose the great opportunity to become the catalysts of the future
improvements in the healthcare system. Al we need is some type of action in the right direction, and as
long as we build great teamwork, maintain alive the principles of collaboration, and minimize the
barriers in coordination of care, we will make our work easier, people happier, and patients well care
of. The task is in our hands, are we ready to

Ideal School Vs. Middle School
Leaving elementary school I wanted to go to a middle school that all my friends were going to, but of
course my parents wanted a better school for me than the ones that were available. So I end up going
to a completely new charter school with people I didn t know. This school had very different rules
than the ones I m used to you. My first year at a new school and in middle school didn t go so well,
but so far this school has proved to be a positive decision. Going from a normal public school where
the rules aren t that enforced to charter school where the rules are strict was a big change for me. I did
not agree with having to stay after school for unfinished homework, or writing a sentence 25 times for
a consequence. I went from a school

Comparing The Snow Queen And The Hero s Journey
The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson has been told for almost two hundred years. It is the
story of a little girl and a little boy who are best friends that do everything together. One day, the little
boy goes missing and the little girl must journey to find him and bring him home. The little girl,
Gerda, shows bravery, selflessness, and relentlessness throughout the tale. Through these she shows
heroism, which helps her through the journey to find the little boy, Kay. These values reveal Gerda s
cultural background, and what her family expects of her. In each transformation of the text, The Hero s
Journey is evident throughout. In the movies The Snow Queen and Disney s Frozen, viewers can
detect the The Hero s Journey throughout. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She greets them like old friends and introduces Kay to them. Throughout the whole story, Gerda
showed cultural values of a true hero. During the departure phase, she showed bravery, loyalty, and
selflessness. In the initiation phase, she exhibited kindness and relentlessness. Finally, in the return
phase Gerda revealed that she is caring and has a softer side to herself. Once she found Kay, she wept
because she had finally found her best friend. Kay was still under the influence of the mirror and did
not recognize her. This made Gerda cry harder, resulting in Kay s frozen heart to melt and the splinter
in his eye to fall out. From beginning to end, Gerda demonstrated a true heroic personality, which
helped her complete her journey. The Snow Queen has been around for almost two centuries, but no
matter how old the story becomes, people do not stop reading it. The Snow Queen has also influenced
readers since Hans Christian Anderson wrote it. Every reader will understand The Hero s Journey
through The Snow Queen, and will be able to detect it in other stories. Young readers have looked at
Gerda s character and realized that she is someone that everyone should look up to. Gerda showed that
no matter how little a person is, they can do something to influence their

Major Forces Influencing Human Behavior At Work Identify the Major Forces Influencing Human Behavior at Work PLO 7 Jamara Milbrun Palm Beach State College Abstract Human Relations is defined as the skill or ability to work effectively through and with other people by Lamberton, L. • 3. The Modern Age Of Islam The Islamic world has tried to become strong again through both secularism and religion, with neither answer showing a complete, absolute advantage over the other. This is shown through Atta Turk completely removing Islam out of the newly formed Turkish society, the Baath Party s secular ideology while still committing massacre, and Hezbollah using a radicalized form of religion to gain political strength. The beginning of the modern age of Islam can be marked with Napoleon s conquest of Egypt and the subsequent conquest by Britain. This defeat indicated to the leaders of the Islamic world that not only were they defeated by a Western power, but also by an inferior Western power. Thus, leaders of the Islamic world, such as Muhammad Ali and al Afghani said that to create a successful society, we must emulate the West to become strong. This ideology held largely throughout the Islamic world until the creation of Israel. When Israel fought and destroyed Arab nations in the Six Days War, secular governments were no longer as widely accepted, leading to the creation of Islamic states and the further progression of Islamic Fundamentalism. Islamic Fundamentalism uses radicalized Islam, which can usually be traced directly back to Wahhabism, to try and gain power and political influence over the region through terror. This clearly corrupted thought clashes with the secular, although also in many cases corrupted, powers of the world. These opposing viewpoints show that there is no ... I agree that the author should imply an element of historical events throughout the novel because it allows the reader to understand how they individually might have responded to the Holocaust situation Furthermore, during the Holocaust, the Nazis transported the Jews in small railway carts. • 6. Woman´s Right on Abortions Personal Choices Women s reproductive rights have been endangered from early history. A woman s job included housework and child birth. Around 1920, women started receiving their choices and rights. In the 21st century, women are looked at with fairness and receive equal opportunities, but there is one right being stripped from women: the choice of using birth control and aborting pregnancy. Society frowns upon aborting a fetus in the womb, but it fails to realize the circumstantial standing each woman is placed in and should accept the decision a woman decides for her future whether it is to use birth control or abort her pregnancy. Women today may have more choices but it has not always been this way. Women of the past often didn t get much a choice about their sexuality (Bringle). However by 1950s, a pill to prevent pregnancy was created. Though this contraception was created, it was hard to get. A birth control advocate, Margaret Sanger, attacked legislative restrictions on birth control , informed many women the uses and positive aspects of using contraception, and encouraged doctors to give contraception guidance by opening the first birth control clinic in New York in 1916 (Bringle). Even after the widespread information of birth control, the accessibility of it today is low. This pill is a necessity for women in today s world and should be made more accessible. To use contraception, a doctor has to prescribe it and this prescription is rarely covered by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Marriage By David Popenoe And Barbara Dafoe Whitehead... Marriage: a fairy tale where every moment leads to happiness and everlasting love. In the article What s Happening to Marriage? the authors David Popenoe and Barbara Dafoe Whitehead reverse the fairy tale of marriage. The article conveys a different aspect of marriage that marriage is weakening and divorce is on the rise. The authors believe men and women of this time have more struggles when marrying one another than when their parents or grandparents got married. The authors arguments are well supported, but their use of fallacies outweighs their theories. David Popenoe and Barbara Dafoe Whitehead claim that in today s society marriage is becoming more of a trust issue than previously thought. They believe marriages have none of these elements: ...an economic bond of mutual dependency; a social bond supported by the extended family and larger community; and a spiritual bond upheld by religious doctrine, observance and faith (520). Marriage is becoming more of a couples relationship and losing meaning in society s culture; therefore, the rate of divorce is increasing causing people to be cautious of marriage. Popenoe and Whitehead use numerous statistics about divorce rate; however, they only examine the women s point of view. According to the authors, this is not the first time marriage has gone to the dumps and recovered causing the authors to delay on writing marriage s obituary. The authors of the article value a considerable amount of appeals that are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Suk Choo (1997) found that individuals from East Asian cultures develop anxiety related more to offending others, compared with individuals from Western cultures, who develop anxiety related to fear of being scrutinized by others. Culture and ethnicity are important variables in group therapy because they set up norms and positions of power, and can both enhance and distance a group (Gladding, 2012). Groups often replicate cultural norms members practice outside of the group. Within the group, members can use their cultural differences to enhance group growth and effectiveness, and apply what they have experienced and learned to their lives outside of group (i.e., social microcosm; Gladding, 2012). Suggestions for future research to help increase social microcosm include incorporating more males and cultural/ethic variations of group participants and leaders, running groups specifically for ethnic minorities, and using non Western group therapies for multicultural individuals with social phobia. It is seen in many characters, but Heathcliff is the most clear example of this theme. His entire life and all of the decisions that he makes are based off of the fact that he is addicted to loving Catherine, and can not get over her. There are many ways in which readers can see that Heathcliff s love is an addiction, rather than a normal love story. • 12. Analysis Of Grendel By John Gardner As humans, do we consciously form our own identities? After all, one is rarely who they aspire to be. Take, for example, John Gardner s character Grendel. Although Grendel seems to intentionally perpetuate his wretched state of being, it is also clear that this process creates, or is the product of some sort of internal struggle between what he considers to be the two dark realities, the self and the world (Gardner 47). For many individuals, including Grendel, existence appears to be nothing more than a never ending series of conflicts, mostly between the actual state of things and our idealistic perception of what they should be. These conflicts, whether realized or not, generate a great deal of emotional and psychological turmoil. This idea is present in nearly every religion and school of philosophy and has been given many names throughout history, but the more recent technical term for this flaw in human thought is cognitive dissonance . The term cognitive dissonance describes the emotional negativity that results from an inconsistency of thought; when two things that should add up just don t. It is by this perpetual struggle that man defines himself. Cognitive dissonance shapes the way we think and often manifests itself as the type of behavior that creates even more confusion. Grendel s character is a somewhat extreme representation of this process. He often acts in a way that is incongruent with his emotions, and despite having realized the absurd nature of his ... Antigone and Borders written by Sophocles and Thomas King respectively, demonstrate the roles and decisions executed by the protagonists according to societal expectations. To briefly describe, Antigone is a play set in the ancient Geek era where the protagonist, Antigone, breaks a law that holds the punishment of death, to give her traitorous brother a respectable funeral. Not to mention, it also illustrates that the mother is trying to dismiss her motherly characteristics like being nurturing and affectionate and put up a hardened exterior because she wants acceptance for herself. However, she did express some hope for her son to ensure him that they will gain justice eventually, which demonstrates that even if she tries to venture out of the societal norms, her motherly instincts will always be there (King 312). The key to maintaining a utopian civilization is ensuring that all basic needs are met in order to avoid the overthrow of the established government regulation activity. The creation of Bentopia is centered around the goal to make the most efficient society possible while still allowing citizens the freedom to choose. Three main characters that Shakespeare choose to display the concept of honor are Prince Hal, Hotspur and Falstaff. However, each of these characters interpret the word honor differently. Hotspur has an obsession with honor and believes it s one of the most important roles a leader has to show. He relates honor to the duties that he serves on the battlefield and repetition. Within this statement the King is implying that Hotspurs father (Northumberland) is blessed to have such a successful and fearless son, and that he is a perfect example of a man with honor. This truly shapes the concept of honor that Hotspur takes on through the rest of the play. Since he has now been so honored by the King for his bloodthirsty acts on the battlefield Hotspur nearly became brainwashed and allowed his words to shape his every thought. He then made a plan to ransom Mortimer. In which the King soon refused to do. Hotspur viewed this as a dishonorable action of the King so he then seeked out to overthrow the King with Northumberland and Worcester to regain the honor that was lost through the Kings mistreatment to him. This shows that Hotspur believes he will gain honor by fighting in battles, and even if he dies he still would die with great honor. • 24. Ficciones, by Jorge Luis Borges Essay In life it is necessary to have fantasy, because without it, life would be dull and meaningless. Life would be so different without dreams, since they are what motivate humans to keep on moving forward in order to achieve their goals. This is what Jorge Luis Borges is trying to explain to the reader in the book Ficciones which is very confusing, but also very deep in meaning. These stories demonstrate a theme of reality vs. fiction which is fascinating because in many of the readings fantasy is required at some point to accomplish a purpose or goal. Each unique story hides a meaning in the text which is a lesson to be learned. The confusion that is caused is similar to a labyrinth in which the reader gets lost. The message is hidden ... Hladik, protagonist of The Secrete Miracle, is a man bound to be persecuted on account of his ethnicity and political ideals. Similar to the United States, a country where so many cultures and backgrounds are crammed together, where at one point or another, the feeling of oppression or, at the very least, discrimination is sensed by many. Once the reader understands that the protagonists is human, and suffers, cries, laughs, hungers, loves like them, the bait is taken and comparison occurs between the readers real lives with the very realistic lives of those in the stories. A man determined to accomplish, another locked away at a Nazi camp awaiting execution the readers, wrapped in a comfortable cocoon. The events in the stories force the reader to make a connection with the protagonist and with the experiences they are going through. In the struggle to accomplish, the Nameless man, from that unknown country, whose language is untainted by Greek, the reader is thrust into a realization of sorts. In the opening of the story the reader comprehends that this man is supernatural since his wounds heal miraculously. He was not astonished to find that his wounds had healed; he closed his pallid eyes and slept, not through weakness of flesh but through determination of will, ( Ruins 57) The man is so determined to have a pupil, that he conceives one out of his dream, slowly transitioning ... A number of Japanese fashion brands are beginning to rival the popularity of American and European brands, as a result of unique trends and cutting edge style. It is the talent for producing such cutting edge and uniquely styled fashion of the Japanese designers that provided the inspiration for the „cute‟ Riot Grrrl style in Britain during the 1990‟s. In an article by writer Sharon Kinsella (1997) titled „The Japanization of European youth‟ Kinsella recognises that childlike elements from the Japanese designers began to emerge in the fashion‟s of the 1990‟s amongst the European consumers, as they began to wear „cute‟ baby doll dresses or old fashioned frilly frocks with Dr Martins . The „Riot Grrrl‟ style also known as the grunge trend of the 1990‟s formed in Britain was directly and indirectly influenced by the Japanese „cute‟ culture, first created by Japanese designers in the 1980‟s, which saw the Kawaii style of adorable, innocent, simple, gentle, and child like fashion dominate the Japanese popular culture of it‟s time. This is a strong example of how globalization has allowed the designers of today to combine different elements of design, and trends from different cultures globally, to produce new designs and trends that are more of a cutting edge style and uniqueness. Japanese brands also made their presence felt in the highend market, attempting to combine ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
