Othello Jealousy Essay
Crafting an essay on the theme of jealousy in "Othello" is no easy task. The complexity of
Shakespeare's characters and their intricate emotions requires a deep understanding of the text
and its underlying themes. Delving into the psychology of jealousy as portrayed in the play
necessitates a nuanced analysis that considers not only Othello's own jealousy but also its
manifestations in other characters like Iago and Emilia. Moreover, one must navigate through the
layers of societal constructs, power dynamics, and racial tensions that contribute to the
characters' motivations and actions.
To effectively tackle such a topic, one must possess not only a thorough comprehension of the
play itself but also a proficiency in literary analysis and critical thinking. It demands the ability to
dissect Shakespeare's language, explore his characterizations, and interpret his thematic
intentions. Additionally, crafting a coherent and compelling argument requires skillful
organization, clear writing, and the incorporation of relevant evidence from the text to support
one's points.
In essence, writing an essay on this topic is a formidable undertaking that requires dedication,
scholarly insight, and literary finesse. It's a task that demands careful thought, meticulous
research, and thoughtful interpretation to do justice to the complexity of "Othello" and its
exploration of jealousy.

The Views Of The Uyghur People Of Xinjiang
Project Summary
This project analyzes the views of the Uyghur people of XInjiang, China with
regards to recent Uyghur terrorist activities. It examines the role of economic and
social integration of Uyghur people into the greater China nation. It will focus on the
perceived lack of control of the Uyghur people and their marginalization by the
Chinese government, This project proposes that terrorist tactics become more present
when no other form of expression is available to societies with less economic and
social mobility.

applicable historical research to further understand the unique situation of the Uyghur
people. With additional ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The late 19th and early 20th century saw massive Han Chinese migration into the
Xinjiang province following an attempted nationalist movement of the Uyghur
people in creating an East Turkestan nation. As of 2010, Han Chinese make up
nearly 40% of the population, up from less than 10% in 1920 (Spencer, 305).
Xinjiang s situation is often compared to that of Tibet, which has had it s own
nationalist movements, seen as seperatist movements by the Chinese government and
has had varying degrees of international support. Like in Tibet, the Uyghurs in
Xinjiang have seen severe government crackdowns on popular movements. Xinjiang
has been a focal point of ethnic tension in China for the past several decades. Much
of the unrest has taken the form of terrorist attacks on Han Chinese population
centers or Chinese landmarks, such as the 2008 suicide bombing attempt on a China
Southern Airlines flight (Davis, 2008), and a series of knife attacks in railroad
stations and markets across Xinjiang and further south in Hebei province, which also
has a sizable Uyghur population. Much of this unrest has been attributed to the
Global Jihadi Movement by the Chinese government. As the Uyghur population is
majority Muslim and reside in Central Asia, they are seen as susceptible to radical
Islam. The concept of terrorism has previously been linked to faith, ethnicity and
nationalism by anthropologists like Cynthia Mahmood, who in her book
The Organic Foods Selection Between Ten Projects
INTRODUCTION
This case study exanimate the Organic Foods selection between ten projects, totaled
€208 million. However, evidence suggest that the Organic sales have been static
since 1990, the managers needed to introduce more new products to expand the
market presence and boost the company sales. Although the Organic Food board of
directors limited the capital budget from € 80 million. The challenge of this case is
the selection and allocation of the scares funds among those compelling projects.
This paper will be divided in three section. The first section will be discussed about
the possible threat of the hostile takeover. The second part will be discussed about
the financial analysis of the projects the potential problems comes with it and it will
consider the division of the projects in the aggregate project plan. Finally, the third
part will provide recommendations of the projects to select to the Board of Directors,
followed by some comments and implications in the conclusion section.
HOSTILE TAKEOVER
The potential threat of hostile takeover and the importance of 1993 for Organic Foods
A hostile takeover is a situation in purchase and sale transaction which take place
against the will of the board of directors of a purchased company (Puziak and
Martyniuk, 2012). In Organic Foods, the sales have been static since 1990, the
management attribute this to the low population growth in northern Europe and
market saturation in other areas.
Disadvantages Of Private Defence
Donald is the father of twin boys and due to the fact that he was accosted at a traffic
light by hijackers, who ordered him out of the car, Donald shot the hijackers with
their firearm. One of the hijackers died whilst the other fled the scene, this all
occurred due to the fact that Donald heard the hijackers planning on taking the
children and dropping them off elsewhere.
The issue is whether or not Donald acted lawfully in his actions of shooting the
hijackers. Donald did act lawfully due to the fact that he acted in private defence.
Private defence is commonly referred to as self defence however the use of self

Pop Art Research Paper
Pop Art was a movement that started in Great Britain in the mid 1950s and moved to
the United States in the late 19050s. Pop Art was different in that it marked a return
to representational are and hard edge composition. In addition to this it challenged
fine art traditions by including imagery from popular culture. It is impersonal, ironic,
and often a parody to emphasize the kitschy parts of culture. Pop Artwas different than
the Abstract Expressionism that dominated the previous two decades. Robert Indiana

Pop is everything art hasn t been for the last two decades. It s basically a U turn back

Eating Habits Of Food
Regardless of circumstance, everybody around the world must eat food. With the
intricacies of varying tastes, portions, prices, and quality, the way food is consumed
is often an important process for many Americans. Even though we all eat, we have
differing objectives and motives for how exactly we consume, when we consciously
are eating. These divergent reasons reflect in the vast spectrums of tastes, portion,
price, and quality that people s foodconsumption are categorized within. On a large
scale, the amount of thought that goes into food purchases, is predominantly
dependent on constraints imposed by time and money. There are several other
variables, such as the foods origins, the labor to make the food, and overall quality
which may be considered, but they primarily revolve around the time one has to eat
and how much they can afford to spend. As simple as eating food may seem, the
entire process can give great insight into social values of a given culture. In my
analysis of my eating habits, I analyze, and learn about myself as well as American
society.
On a daily basis I consume a blender s worth or 6 cups of a smoothie that consists of
fruits and vegetables with a tablespoon of greek low fat yogurt. I consume this
along with intermittent healthier snacks such as nuts throughout the day, and a
base meal of rice with a tomato based stew, or eggs in an omelet. Roughly once a
week, I ll eat fast food instead of a home base meal, and roughly once a month, I ll
eat out at a restaurant. I try to limit my intake of sugar in the form of candy, but I do
appreciate sweets and have them about twice a week.
Within my personal diet, the largest variables are easily quality, time, and cost. In
my diet quality refers more to whether a food is healthy, as opposed to how well it
is made or the conditions surrounding the food s origins. I hold nutritional value in
high regard in my evaluation of food, as within the past year I have become
considerably conscious regarding fitness and health. Despite my desire for healthier
options I often have to compromise, since time and money taper the levels of healthy
options I consume as well as the frequency.
The factor of time also plays a significant role in what I eat. When my

Obanua Ogugua Critical Analysis
Interestingly, it is clear now that the author might not have been interested in
portraying the polygamy in the novel in the literal sense, but deftly twists the novel to
largely accommodate his message on the immiscibility of tradition and modernity.
And what better way to effect this than through the element of marriage? He marries
the societal constructs together to show the ghastly effect of having them so close
together. We also, however, must not ignore that there is actually a message on
polygamy as it relates to human relationships and its lethal effects. We can therefore
say that the author has managed to kill two birds with one stone.
Moving on, having established the foregoing, strife becomes the chemical reaction
when the two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, the supposition that Ogugua is actually a representation of modernity actually
holds.
Also interesting to explore is the introduction by the author of the detail that
concerned the love affair between Ogugua and the Portuguese merchant. This little
detail stamps our claim that Obanua s society, Ozala, had begun to experience change
through modernity. Through historical books, we come to know that Nigeria (which
is undoubtedly the secondary setting of the novel) first begun its journey to modernity
when the Portuguese came into the country for trade purposes and, at this point, as is
surely with any instance of human interaction, ideas and societal patterns were
exchanged, more so as the language, Portuguese, infiltrated its way into the system.
That minute detail therefore becomes something like a deliberate attempt by the
author to show us the modern change that was enveloping the town and Nigeria, by
extension, hoping that we would grasp that bit of detail.
Consequently, Ogugua s mulatto twin girls deserve some critical attention. That they
are culturally mixed gives us a clue that they are representations also, of the cultural
malaise with which we are concerned. The role they play in the house is also very
significant. We can call them catalysts of disaster since they often instigate

Taking after the Asclepius worldview, Hippocrates concentrated on the regular
treatment to approach the malady. This approach is broadly acknowledged even
today, and in this manner Hippocrates is thought to be the organizer of old Greek
medication. As indicated by (Kristen et al.), the point of convergence of Hippocratic
pharmaceutical is the conviction that prescription ought to be rehearsed as a logical
train in view of the regular sciences, diagnosing and averting ailments and
additionally treating them. Likewise, Hippocrates trusted that the doctor ought to
study life structures, specifically that of the spine and its relationship to the sensory
system, which controls all elements of the body. Likewise, he was the principal who
trusted that this perception perceives the indications of every sickness. Besides, the
Hippocratic convention underlined ecological causes and common medications of
sicknesses, the causes and helpful significance of mental elements, nourishment and
way of life, autonomy of brain, body and soul, and the requirement for concordance
between the individual and the social and regular habitat. Moreover, the Hippocratic
doctor most importantly ensured the patient was sound as the act of solution so

Media In Social Media
With the discovery of technology, social media soon followed and became the
next worldwide phenomenon, and the newfound freedom in posting whatever you
want at any time of the day has changed social media to be a tool for multiple
aspects of life. Through social media people are able to freely post their opinions
about any topic at any time of the day. This freedom can be a bad thing when it is
taken advantage of, but it can also be used as a tool for different people such as;
businesses, authors, and politicians. Although people s opinions may be irrelevant in
some situations, it can be used as a tool to better the quality of customerservice or
other departments in a businessthat could be improved. As social media is becoming
one of the most popular things in the world, businesses are taking advantage of it and
are using it for reviews, advertising, and other marketing strategies. Through their
social media accounts, business are able to read their reviews, and through this
feedback they are able to better their company. Now everyone will have contradicting
opinions about a business but that is because everyone is not getting the same
service. For instance Bergstrom Automotive uses their Facebook to better their
companies service to their guests. A guest by the name of Katie Brands posted Have
bought more than one car from them over the years and have serviced all cars

The Solar Of Solar Power Essay
Solar Power Innovations Solar Power has been observed as early as the year of
1839 by a French physicist named Alexandre Edmond Becquerel. He invented the
first photovoltaic cell. Since then his studies and works have been perfected on
and continue to change the world in which we live for the better. Photovoltaic
cells have constantly been evolving ever since. In 1883, Charles Fritts built the
first solid state photovoltaic cell using materials such as gold and selenium. With
further advances to the system, scientist were able to recreate the cell in a way
that could serve as an alternative power source on the satellite named Vanguard that
was flown into space in the year of 1958. In the 1970 s there was an oil crisis when
Middle Eastern countries proclaimed a trading ban, encouraging oil companies to
buy solar firms. Funded research allowed for first, second and third generation cells
to be constructed. Currently, the cost of solar energyhas exponentially decreased with
the falling price of silicon, allowing for many new innovations to take place. Thin
solar film is a second generation cell that is being commercially used. The creation
of solar thin film allowed us to reduce cost even further as it is printed in rolls
which can be incorporated into things like building materials instead of having to
have big bulky expensive panels. The film is lightweight, flexible and most
importantly, affordable. Over the past few years, the thin solar film has become more

The Castle of Otranto
The author of Arcadia, Tom Stoppard, uses a lot of irony and incorporates a web of
relationships and coincidences into his plays that can get a bit confusing, especially
if you are not familiar with the things that he makes reference to. In the play, on
page thirteen, Lady Croom, Thomasina s mother, compares Mr. Noakes landscape
style to that of Ann Radcliffe s and Horace Walpole s imagery, both of which were
Gothic novelists of the eighteenth century. The author s purpose in including this bit
is interesting, especially if you are familiar with the novels he refers to. Here s some

Later that day Manfred heard news of Theodore in the chapel with a woman.
Manfred was jealous and went to the chapel and stabbed the woman, who turned out
to be his daughter, Matilda. Theodore proclaimed, over the dead body of Matilda,
that he was the true Prince of Otranto. At that moment the giant form of the dead
prince of Alfonso appeared and announced that Theodore was the rightful heir of
Otranto. Then Alfonso ascended to heaven and was received by St. Nicholas.
Theodore was the son of Father Jerome, then prince of Falconara, and Prince Alfonso
the Good s daughter. Manfred confessed that he had taken Otranto from Theodore
and then he and Hippolita entered neighboring convents. Theodore married Isabella
and they lived in Otranto as the prince and princess.

Walpole s The Castle of Otranto was the first example of a Gothic novel. Gothic,
by definition, is a genre of literature characterized by a brooding, gloomy setting,
and mysterious, sinister, or violent events. Lady Croom s reference to The Castle
of Otranto and to The Mysteries of Udolpho, which is another Gothic novel by a
later author, Ann Radcliffe, is one technique used by Stoppard to describe Noakes
style. In 1809 Gothic novels were widely popular so it is safe to assume that all of
Stoppard s seventeenth century characters would have heard of the

What if you found out that the water in your house was poisoning you and your
family? How would you feel knowing that the water your family uses everyday might
slowly be killing them? Many people believe that the government is secretly
poisoning communities across the country by putting fluoride in our tap water. Others
believe that fluoride is a safe product that benefits us. Most scientists and
researchers are split on whether fluoride is harmful or not. The United States has
been fluoridating communities water supplies since the early 1940 s

in our water supply or not.
The government says that we need fluoride, but fluoride is not an essential nutrient
for humans. Fluoride is the only chemical added into our water for the purpose of
medical treatment. It is supposed to prevent tooth decay, but studies show that tooth

Stars are born, grow old, and die, at rates that are related to their mass and any
external pressures acting on them, similar to the life cycle of all living things in the
universe. The process in which stars change dramatically throughout their existence is
called stellar evolution and can take millions to billions of years. Stellar evolution
describes how stars transform over time, from birth, through life, which includes
growth, and ending in death. Fusion, the force that generates energy, is balanced by
the pull of gravity, resulting in the progression and development of the star.
Stars begin their life cycle as molecular clouds, or nebula. Some event, such as a

Once the helium in the core is exhausted, the star emits its outer layers into space,
contracts down, and emerges as a White Dwarf. Ultimately, the White Dwarf will

In larger stars, the core s temperature increases enough to burn carbon into neon.
Burning and contraction are repeated until iron is established in the core. The
pressure of neutrons will interrupt the collapse of the core, creating a neutron star.
The sudden cease in the contraction of the core allows some of the mass to flow

This creates a shock wave blowing the outer layer of the star apart in a core collapse

the length of interest payments for the bondholder/investor, which losses potential

school base is stated by the Library of Congress due to a three pronged program
that involved purging courses and textbooks believed to slander Islam and
substituting courses on religion; purging teachers to ensure that only those who
understood the true meaning of Islam (i.e., were not secular) remained in the
schools.. (Metz). This change did has not only eliminated many teachers that

Answer 1.
By comparing both the stocks, the riskiest stock in this case is Reynolds. It has the
highest return as well as higher standard deviation and the higher variance. If we
compare both stocks, Reynolds is riskier than Hasbro in this case. The higher variance
indicates higher chance that the actual return on Reynolds will deviate from the

Basically, we can see that having a stock in a portfolio is better here as stock like
Reynolds, which was moving less than the market is now very close to the market
movement at .9974.
Furthermore, Hasbro which was moving above the market level is now moving
almost with the market at 1.0042.
*Please see the attached excel file for calculations.
Answer 4.
We can t figure out the riskiness of the stock by just looking at the expected return.
In the case of individual stock, Reynolds at 1.87 is giving a higher return compared
to Hasbro at 1.18. We wouldn t know the riskiness unless we look at the standard
deviation or the variance of the stock. By comparing the two, Reynolds has a higher
variance and standard deviation and will be more risky.
When combined with portfolio, we see the variance has changed. Reynolds, which
was more risky with higher variance individually, when combined with portfolio, has
a lower variance than Hasbro.
On the other hand, Hasbro, which had considerably less return and variance
individually, when combined in a portfolio, has more volatility, hence becoming more
risky.
Answer 5.
Alex Sharpe should invest in Portfolio A, consisting of Reynolds and S P500.
Portfolio A gives higher return with lower risk. The standard deviation and the
variance are both lower for portfolio A which means

Men s prisons divide the population by security level; women under minimum,

The Etiology Of The Disorder Essay
Describe the etiology of the disorder. Bipolar Disorders are considered complex
because of the episodes that are experienced. They include dysfunctional mood,
potentially including major depressive episodes, mild to moderate depressive
episodes, manic episodes, hypomanic episodes, and mixed episodes, which are often
separated by periods of relatively normal mood. (BDII). There are two types of
Bipolar Disorders that I will cover in this paper. They include Bipolar I disorder (BP
I) and Bipolar II disorder (BD II).According to the Epidemiologic Catchment Area
Study, as cited by Kleinman, Lowin, Flood, Gandhi, Edgell, and Revicki (2003),
the lifetime prevalence by race and ethnicity for BD I and BD II, are as follows:
Caucasian 0.8% and 0.4%, African American 1.0% and 0.6%, and Hispanic 0.7%
and 0.5%.. Lifetime prevalence rate for Bipolar I is 0.6%and bipolar II it is 0.3%
over a 12 month period (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). People who
have Bipolar I disorder typically experience alternating episodes of depression and
mania where there is a separation of some level of normalcy in the sequence
(American Psychiatric Association, 2013). For example, they might be depressed
for 4 days feel normal for a couple of days than go into a manic episode. On the other
hand, those with Bipolar II disorder they only experience depressive episodes and
will not have an episode of mania. Describe the diagnostic features of the disorder.

The 80s Research Paper
The 1980s are pretty interesting to look back upon in terms of what happened to
the music industry. The decade cradled the beginnings of electronic music and
produced the first commercial compact discs (CDs). At the very least all rock
bands were expected to house a vocalist who could sing notes into the stratosphere
or a virtuosic guitar player who could play at inhuman speeds. Michael Jackson was
reborn as the King of Pop, and Madonna would follow him in her own right. There
was a lot of dancing, a lot of leather, and a lot of Aquanet. This was pop culture, but
the most interesting thing about the 80s didn t happen until 1991, because as far as I
m concerned that s when everything 80s met the guillotine.
In 1991 Nirvana released their breakthrough album Nevermind closely preceded by
the album s defining hit single Smells Like Teen Spirit. The mainstream music
audience wouldn t have heard anything like Nevermind up to the point in time
when it was released on September 24, 1991. It created a schism in pop culture
between decades. Frontman Kurt Cobain was the main creative engine for
Nevermind and the majority of Nirvana s catalog until the band met its end in 1994
due Cobain s death. Understanding Cobain s tendencies as a writer of music, and
where they may have come from, is crucial to understanding why Nevermind is so
different from what came before it.
On more than one occasion Cobain cited The Beatles, and bands in, or stemming
from, the punk rock genre as major

A Streetcar Named Desire, Literary Analysis Essay
A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams Stella has embraced him with both
arms, fiercely, and full in the view of Blanche. He laughs and clasps her head to him.
Over her head he grins through the curtains at Blanche. (Williams 73) A Streetcar
Named Desire written by Tennessee Williams exemplifies the theme of a struggle to
attain happiness. The play not only portrays this theme in its characters and setting,
but through the literary devices of Foil, Imagery, and Intertextuality. Williams took
great care in applying each of these literary device techniques to the theme as he
presents an intriguing contrast between Blanche and Stanley, vivid images both

The low moans of the clarinet and the blue piano all portray the image of what an
animal would do. (Williams 129) Another form of imagery in the play is broken
images. There is the broken mirror and Mitch tearing the lamp. There is also
Blanche s husband Hickey killing himself. There is also the loss of the baby
which is a broken part of the story. Intertextuality is the shaping of texts meanings
by other texts. Williams uses this literary device by referring to Book Nine of the
Odyssey. Blanche is equal to deception. She is always flirting with some man
especially Stanley. Anytime she gets the chance while Stella is out of the room.
Blanche is like Odysseus because she is very well aware of her deceptive truths.
She uses them to manipulate in situations. She blinds Stanley by her deceptive
ways. Intertextuality is also used in the image of Cyclopes. Stanley portrays the
image of Cyclopes. He is also referred to as One eye monster, in the play. He is
referred to this character because of his strong will and physically strong, but he falls
easily into Blanche s trap of being blinded. Although there are many other literary
devices that are used throughout A Streetcar Named Desirethese devices work
together in unison to thoroughly express the theme in their struggle to attain

literary devices are used to create an
Martin Luther s Theology Of The Cross
Furthermore, Luther s Theology of the cross helps us to see God incarnate, with
us, Emmanuel, even in the suffering and death of the crucified one, God s only
son, Jesus. It is in this suffering that we know that God is with us. In a very human
way, God takes on the fate of the world, to destroy human flesh through Jesus, the
incarnation. God does change, suffer and die. It is God alone, and nothing we do.
God does all the heavy lifting for our sake, and it is a gift. Jesus gives us an example
of someone who loves us so deeply, that he is willing to lay down his life.

This paper analyzes why and how companies set their international business strategies
with the host nations and the benefits that they have reaped through the years with
their decision. The discussion handles foreign manufacturing strategies with direct
investment and without direct investment, its advantages and disadvantages and how
companies have profited by their decisions in each of the cases. At the end of the
discussion it would be clear that how such business decisions play a vital role in the
growth of the companies both in home and host countries

2.Background
For the analysis, the focus is on two companies, Tesco and Yoplait who have chosen
two different business strategies for their global business expansion. Tesco, one of
the world s largest retailer, UK based supermarket chain expanded its global
operations in Asia. It joined hands with Samsung, a well established Korean retailer,
and started its Korean operations under the well known Homeplus brand. In 1999 it
went ahead with its foreign direct investment and opened business centers in Korea.
They were able to sustain and grow in the Korean market (Klimes, 2014). On the
other hand, Yoplait is a France based Yoghurt. It franchised its operation in US and
later throughout Europe with US based consortium, General Mills. It is jointly
owned by General Mills and Sodiaal, a French cooperative diary unit (Bloomberg

Story Of An Hour Critical Analysis
The Story of an Hour , by Kate Chopin, portrays a new perspective about marriage
ideals in the 1890s. Mrs. Mallard, the wife of Brently Mallard, hears the tragic news
about her husband s death and reacts as the society would expect with sorrow. Soon,
however, she experiences the joy that comes with freedom and no bondage of
marriage holding her down. As the plot continues, she finds out the information about
her husband s deathwas false and she loses her life: When the doctors came, they
said she had died of heart disease of joy that kills (525). Although the doctors
believed that she died of happiness, she actually died because she lost her freedom. In
The Story of an Hour, Chopin depicts Louise s dream of achieving the forbidden
freedom and the difficulties of becoming a single unit in marriage through the use
of point of view, symbolism, repetition, and dramatic irony to convey the meaning
of the story. Chopin writes the story in the third person limited point of view which
indicates that only Mrs. Mallard s thoughts are available to the reader. The story is
told by a separate narrator, which has a hidden meaning to it. During the 1890s,
women, just like Mrs. Mallard, did not speak their minds. Mrs. Mallard is portrayed
as a delicate woman suffering from a heart problem to the other characters while the
reader finds out that she is in an unhappy marriage. Chopin wrote this short story in
limited third person to emphasize a problem that women had to deal with
Porgy And Bess Sparknotes
Porgy and Bess is a play written by three Caucasian men. The play was written in
the 1920s 1930s. Around this time racism was strong as ever. White people already
didn t think much of us. It took place in a small town in South Carolina called Catfish
Row. The apartments sat close to a beach. Throughout the play, there was plenty of
ways that portrayed African Americanin a negative way. Porgy and Bess is the
epitome of how Caucasians thought of African Americans and the way we live.
Throughout my paper I m going to express how white people judged African
Americans, Where did Porgy and Bess come from, and The names of the characters
and how degrading the authors are making African Americans out to be. The names
of the characters go a long way. Some of their names have meaning to them, the
meaning of their names are literally the role they play. And the time the play was
written.
Gershwin labeled the play as a folk opera. It was written in the year of 1935 by a
Jewish man. Which makes it interesting to study the kind of impact it had on the
African Americans at that time. Gershwin had the African
The Holy Spirit Of The Ark
Remember, I told you the Rapture is a type of ark. The first time God used an ark
was to save people that believed in Him from the destruction of water. The second
time will be to save the faithful from the destruction of fire with the ark of rapture
by a Bridegroom. It has never been God s method in the past to pour wrath out on
believers! Noah and his family went inside of the ark seven days before the flood.
The ark was a covering like a huppa, which is symbolic of heaven. The church will
be raptured away just like an ancient Jewish bride would have been. The Holy Spirit
fell on the church at Pentecost after Jesusreturned to His Father s house. The Holy
Spirit is the Comforter that Jesus promised would come after His Ascension. The
Holy Spirit manifested within the body of the church, and it is the current
restrainer of the antichrist. A spirit needs a body to manifest itself in, and when
the Holy Spirit filled church is gone, Satan, who is a spirit, will be able to take
over inside of the antichrist. The apostle Paul tells us this in 2Thessalonians 2:7
NASB, For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains
will do so until he is taken out of the way.

Personal Financial Budget Analysis
The first step in becoming financially responsible is starting out with a personal
financial budget. Absent a budget there is no way one can possibly track their
income and expenses.
Before getting into what personal budgeting finances are I want to explain why
budgeting is important. For this idea, we will say that you have decided to startup a
business, a personal financial advising firm. When establishing your financial
advising firm the first thing to be done is the planning out of your company
expenses. Most people would logically budget for their expenses before they began
because without this financial planning you would have no idea of whether or not
your financial advising firm could potentially be profitable. The next thing is to ...

The idea is to include all income and costs and come out with a positive cash flow
on your personal financial worksheet. If the number comes out negative then you
have a problem and your expenses will need to lower.
Now you know exactly what a budget is and how to make one. The next thing to is
run a few Google searches an find a budget template to make things easier.
You need to keep a budget every month. No, you cannot simply make one plan for
the whole year and stuff it away somewhere to forget about it. Our income levels
change and our expenses change and these changes need to be accounted for.
To be successful with your personal budgeting plan you need to make out a projected
personal budgeting plan for the whole year. Then as each month passes you can make
monthly adjustments.
The other thing to do is keep a record of your actual income and expenses and
compare that to your personal financial budgeting worksheet. You want to make sure
that your original estimates were correct or at least

Khmer Rouge Genocide
The Khmer Rouge were followers of a communist party of Kampuchea, which took
control of Cambodia on April 17, 1975. The party s existence was kept a secret until
1977, anyone outside of CPK knew the leaders as Angkar Padevat. A genocide was
born, where they tortured and killed thousands of innocents under the order of
dictator Pol Pot. They set policies and rules to reach their main goal, which was to
build a new Cambodiafocused on agricultural success. When the Khmer Rougetook
power people were forced into the countryside to work. In order to ensure this they
banned money, private property, schools, churches, shops, government builds,

matter if they met their rice ration, they were only allowed to eat the scraps given
to them, if they were caught eating anything extra such as grass or bugs then they
would be sent out to a killing field. When they were not working out in fields they
would be given lectures by the Khmer Rouge about their communist ideals. People
saw these meetings as an chance to be redeemed in the eyes of the Khmer Rouge,

The atomic radius will increase as you down a group, this is also shown on the
table. The reason in which it might go down is because there are more filled energy
levels that are between the nucleus and the outer electron. This is also because more
electrons are being added to the atoms and they are all at a similar distance to one
another.
You can clearly see that as you move across a period the atomic radius will decrease
and this is because the atom is clearly smaller. The outer electrons are shown to be
closer to the nucleus and are strongly attracted to the centre this means that it will
become more difficult to remove the outermost electron.
This is the distance away from the central atom. Ionic radius will be seen increasing

Lifeboat In Life Of Pi s Life Essay

that ultimately lead to him being trapped on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific
with a 450 pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. As the story develops, so
does Pi s fear and feelings of inferiority to Richard Parker. Until Chapter 80 of the
novel, Richard Parker is sedate, allowing Pi to survive. However, the upcoming
switch of roles on the lifeboat will strongly impact the rest of Pi s journey. In

With Richard Parker being the alpha, Pi believes he will be forced to prolong his
hunger and offer the fish to the tiger in an attempt to save his own life. However,
Pi realizes, I was more set on eating than I was on staying alive (222). It is then that
Pi decides he will strive to override his own savagery. In a moment of fortitude
driven by hunger, Pi demands the eye contact of Richard Parker. It becomes clear
to Pi that suddenly his brute strength meant only moral weakness (222). Pi has
conquered his fear of Richard Parker by looking directly into his eyes, and prevails
because the strength of Pi s mind is superior to that of the tiger s being. This marks
the point of Pi s humanity becoming the alpha over his savagery. When Martel
instills a double meaning in the phrase, alpha animal, he paves the path that Pi will
take towards salvation. Pi faces his worst fear by staring into the eyes of a Bengal
tiger and allowing the humaneness in him to overcome the savage part. From this
point on, Pi is no longer terrified of what resides on the lifeboat with him. In
addition, Pi is able to take control of his life again. Now, with Pi s intellect restored,

The Effect Of Parapsychology On The Existence Of Science
Not a lot of people can say they have had a paranormal experience. It is the kind of
thing that happens once in a lifetime, and usually it is not anything big. But those
who do have these experiences pertain that belief in the supernatural, and it is these
documented experiences that have brought about the study of parapsychology. Is
there something to these claims or is it due to mental illusions? Parapsychology is a
highly debated branch of science because of the existence of phenomena that cannot
be explained, the main argument being in the existence of physics and whether there
is something beyond or not. s Parapsychology is the study of supernatural phenomena
or more specifically, psychicphenomena. Most parapsychologists divide... Show more

Even the learned expressed interest in these, however, the wide acceptance of these
occurrences may have been due to the insufficient education of the general public.
After the Enlightenment, which occurred in the 18th century, the existence of deities
and magic was more widely contested and doubted, leading to the discrediting of
these phenomena as science. One of the first scientists to attempt a scientific study of
psychic phenomena was Franz Anton Mesmer in the 1700 s; he experimented with
and attempted to patent the mesmerism technique, more commonly known as
hypnotism. Even though his method did not achieve scientific recognition, shifting
religious beliefs allowed for the widespread Spiritualism movement, which allowed
for the use of mediums and the like (Psychicscience.org). Modern parapsychology
came about in the 1920 s with the invention of statistical tools and the efforts of a
researcher by the name of J.B. Rhine. Rhine had three aims through his experiments:
to provide data on parapsychological phenomena rather than to attempt to prove their
existence, to achieve scientific recognition and to prove that psychic ability was not
limited to certain people and was a part of human psyche all along just waiting to be
discovered. Though he was not necessarily successful in his goals, Rhine did change
his field in that now psychic study is not limited to individuals with psychic talent,
rather a
Free Euthanasia Essay
The word quot;euthanasia quot; is Greek, which means quot;a good death. quot; The
issue is far more complex than what a dictionary s explanation is. The issue of
euthanasia is one of the most discussed topics in all of the United States Congress.
US government agencies, legislators and leaders have attempted unsuccessfully to
stop assisted suicide nationwide by barring the use of federally controlled substances
at lethallevels intended for mercy killing. There are many issues surrounding the act
of assisted suicide that are yet to be resolved in the United States. In the near future
Congress should have a set law on this topic and that will end the confusion
circulating around euthanasia.
If legalized, how should such these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After a couple of months or years, then that is the time when the person can decide
wither to end their life. Assisted suicide should be the very last resort. If someone
wants to end their life by means of a doctor then they should be allowed to do it.
US pathologist Dr. Jack Kevorkian, who by his own admission has assisted 130
people with their own suicides, has been the target of considerable media and
government attention. Kevorkian is the leading quot;right to die doctor in the US
because of his work providing lethal medication to patients so that they may commit
or pursue their own suicides. But the release of a videotape by Kevorkian in January,
1999, showing the physician injecting lethal medication into a patient in Michigan
has changed the nature of the controversy from the right to die to medically assisted
euthanasia. Kevorkian is charged with murder and faces trial next spring. Dr.
Kevorkian is the first known US physician to carry out an act of mercy killing.
In conclusion, I think that it is legal for someone to end their life only if they have
a certain condition that is un curable or if the person is suffering tremendously. A
doctor who specializes in this area should be the only one to perform the practice. It
should be illegal for non professionals who carry out this act in their homes. For
minors under eighteen years of age, the parents are the only one who can have the
Nurses Are The Traditional Care Providers For Mothers
And...
Midwives are the traditional care providers for mothers and infants. They provide
support so that a woman s pregnancy is healthy and the have optimal births and that
they recover during the postpartum period. Midwifery is a woman centered
empowering model of maternity care that is utilized in all of the countries of the
world. Midwives practice in private homes or clinics or birth centers. Countries that
utilize midwives as primary health care providers are countries in which the mother
and the infant fare best. The U.S. ranks behind most of the developed world in terms
of infant and maternal mortality. Midwives cultivate relationships with women and
they value communication and developing trust. Midwives provide a more
personalized and thorough care on many levels throughout a woman s pregnancy
including preconception, pregnancy, labor, postpartum and even beyond that. There
are several different types of midwives and different pathways to education and
training. Most pathways result in certification and licensing like professional
Midwives. On the other hand, there are more traditional midwives and those are
midwives who for religious, personal, and philosophical reasons choose not to
become certified or licensed. Traditional midwives are also called community based
midwives. They believe that they are accountable to the community to heal and to
serve. ( What is a Midwife 2016: para 6) Every culture and religion have similarities
and differences in the way they practice
Patriarchy In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Midsummer Night s Dream by Shakespeare is a story about the patriarchal
relationships between the two chracters and it explains how men use their authority
on the women because they think themselves are superior to women. In
Midsummer Night s Dream has Patriarchal laws. The relationship between king
and queen of fairies is not good and it is not like any two married wife and
husband, and like that the relationship between Hermia and her father (Agues) is
very ugly because her father is very strict with her and he wants to dominate her life.
This essay clarifies how Shakespeare explores the unequal relationships between
King and the Queen of the fairies, and between Hermia and Agues to show that there
is a patriarchal men controlled the lives of women.... Show more content on

He asks his wife many times to give him the young Indian boy but she rejected so

after that his mother died. The king commands Puck to bring a magic flower to him
and to make his wife be under the love and to fail in love with a donkey. So, Oberon
punished his wife and he puts the magic powder on the eyes of Titania when she

Why Are Pit Bulls Banned
Pit Bulls are one of the most misunderstood dogs in society. People are afraid of
them because of the stories they have heard or seen and they tend to flinch when
they hear the words pit bull . Pit Bulls are discriminated against because of what
they are and how people portray them to be. Because of this, Pit Bulls are paying the
price for something they have no fault in. Pit Bullis not actually a breed. The legal
definition of a pit bull is a class of dogs that includes the following breeds: American
pit bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American
bulldog and any other pure bred or mixed breed dog that is a combination of these
dogs (DogsBite, Pit bull FAQ). Even though these breeds may be classified... Show

They were bred for entertainment through fighting, but also for companionship as
family pets. Their history has brought turmoil and hate against them. Society has
not helped with this either. They take what everyone else says about Pit Bulls and
adds it to what they hear in the media. Their result is them being fearful of Pit
Bulls and not wanting to have anything to do with them. They take these stories
from the media about a Pit Bull attack and assume all Pit Bulls are vicious and will
attack people. This is how the stereotypes come about. However, some people work
to change the perception of Pit Bulls, like the owners of Johnny and Leo. They go
and reach out to people, from elders to children, who get to know the dog as an
individual and not as society has perceived them to be. Each dog, no matter a Pit
Bull or not, is his own. Each one has his own personality, likes and dislikes, and
temperament. Each dog is different and has his own individuality. Society should
look upon dogs, especially Pit Bulls, as an individual and not as a whole. Looking at
breeds as a whole is where discrimination and stereotypes come into play and can ruin
a dog s
An Excited Loud Echoes Through Ford Field
An excited shout echoes through Ford Field: ELCA, are you ready for tonight?
Around me, I hear the roar of 30,000 Lutherans cheering in response. The noise is
deafening, and being a part of it both gives me goose bumps and makes my heart
race. I stand there in Ford Field, in awe of the sheer number of Lutherans
surrounding me. As part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)
National Youth Gathering in Detroit, each person in the crowd is my age and
shares the same religious beliefs as I do. The energetic and unified atmosphere
already has me smiling, and I can t wait for the rest of my week in Detroit.
Of all the days following that night, Friday was the most amazing; at times, however,
it seemed to be just the opposite. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The speakers in Ford Field had all served so many people in their lives, from
fighting poverty and world hunger to promoting gender and racial justice. For me, I
knew I wouldn t be changing the world in one day, but at least I had a chance to
help change Detroit. I guess that s why the service project was so incredibly
important to me, and why I was crushed when the DJ made an announcement later
that day.
It came around 2:30 P.M.; we had been talking, dancing, and waiting together for 5
hours, and our bus still hadn t come. Anyone could tell how exhausted we were by
the looks on our faces. Just as I had convinced myself that our bus was next, a
message came over the speakers: Buses 91 100 will not be leaving today. Due to
traffic delays, the buses are now needed to go pick up volunteers from this morning.
All remaining participants: follow your leader to the Cobo Center. In one moment,
my struggling smile faded and I was on the verge of tears. Thoughts flooded my
mind: How could this happen? Didn t they know they needed a few more buses? I
waited all this time for nothing? How could I miss this, it s what I came here for!
Deep down I knew God had much more in store for me, but at the time I felt
cheated out of an essential part of the trip. Our tiny circle of six sat in silence for a
while, dejected and a little angry. We were given our lunch and began to eat together,
but the almost tangible silence remained hanging in the air. After we had eaten, our

  • 1. Othello Jealousy Essay Crafting an essay on the theme of jealousy in "Othello" is no easy task. The complexity of Shakespeare's characters and their intricate emotions requires a deep understanding of the text and its underlying themes. Delving into the psychology of jealousy as portrayed in the play necessitates a nuanced analysis that considers not only Othello's own jealousy but also its manifestations in other characters like Iago and Emilia. Moreover, one must navigate through the layers of societal constructs, power dynamics, and racial tensions that contribute to the characters' motivations and actions. To effectively tackle such a topic, one must possess not only a thorough comprehension of the play itself but also a proficiency in literary analysis and critical thinking. It demands the ability to dissect Shakespeare's language, explore his characterizations, and interpret his thematic intentions. Additionally, crafting a coherent and compelling argument requires skillful organization, clear writing, and the incorporation of relevant evidence from the text to support one's points. In essence, writing an essay on this topic is a formidable undertaking that requires dedication, scholarly insight, and literary finesse. It examines the role of economic and social integration of Uyghur people into the greater China nation. The late 19th and early 20th century saw massive Han Chinese migration into the Xinjiang province following an attempted nationalist movement of the Uyghur people in creating an East Turkestan nation. As of 2010, Han Chinese make up nearly 40% of the population, up from less than 10% in 1920 (Spencer, 305). Xinjiang s situation is often compared to that of Tibet, which has had it s own nationalist movements, seen as seperatist movements by the Chinese government and has had varying degrees of international support. Like in Tibet, the Uyghurs in Xinjiang have seen severe government crackdowns on popular movements. Xinjiang has been a focal point of ethnic tension in China for the past several decades. Much of the unrest has taken the form of terrorist attacks on Han Chinese population centers or Chinese landmarks, such as the 2008 suicide bombing attempt on a China Southern Airlines flight (Davis, 2008), and a series of knife attacks in railroad stations and markets across Xinjiang and further south in Hebei province, which also has a sizable Uyghur population. Much of this unrest has been attributed to the Global Jihadi Movement by the Chinese government. As the Uyghur population is majority Muslim and reside in Central Asia, they are seen as susceptible to radical Islam. The concept of terrorism has previously been linked to faith, ethnicity and nationalism by anthropologists like Cynthia Mahmood, who in her book

In Organic Foods, the sales have been static since 1990, the management attribute this to the low population growth in northern Europe and market saturation in other areas.

Disadvantages Of Private Defence Donald is the father of twin boys and due to the fact that he was accosted at a traffic light by hijackers, who ordered him out of the car, Donald shot the hijackers with their firearm. One of the hijackers died whilst the other fled the scene, this all occurred due to the fact that Donald heard the hijackers planning on taking the children and dropping them off elsewhere. The issue is whether or not Donald acted lawfully in his actions of shooting the hijackers. Donald did act lawfully due to the fact that he acted in private defence. Private defence is commonly referred to as self defence however the use of self defence is too narrow as private defence may also apply to those individuals who defend others may also rely upon this defence .The law of private defence deals with the use of force in order to repel an unlawful attack ... Pop Art was different in that it marked a return to representational are and hard edge composition. In addition to this it challenged fine art traditions by including imagery from popular culture. It is impersonal, ironic, and often a parody to emphasize the kitschy parts of culture. Pop Artwas different than the Abstract Expressionism that dominated the previous two decades. • 6. Eating Habits Of Food Regardless of circumstance, everybody around the world must eat food. With the intricacies of varying tastes, portions, prices, and quality, the way food is consumed is often an important process for many Americans. Even though we all eat, we have differing objectives and motives for how exactly we consume, when we consciously are eating. These divergent reasons reflect in the vast spectrums of tastes, portion, price, and quality that people s foodconsumption are categorized within. On a large scale, the amount of thought that goes into food purchases, is predominantly dependent on constraints imposed by time and money. There are several other variables, such as the foods origins, the labor to make the food, and overall quality which may be considered, but they primarily revolve around the time one has to eat and how much they can afford to spend. As simple as eating food may seem, the entire process can give great insight into social values of a given culture. In my analysis of my eating habits, I analyze, and learn about myself as well as American society. On a daily basis I consume a blender s worth or 6 cups of a smoothie that consists of fruits and vegetables with a tablespoon of greek low fat yogurt. I consume this along with intermittent healthier snacks such as nuts throughout the day, and a base meal of rice with a tomato based stew, or eggs in an omelet. Roughly once a week, I ll eat fast food instead of a home base meal, and roughly once a month, I ll eat out at a restaurant. I try to limit my intake of sugar in the form of candy, but I do appreciate sweets and have them about twice a week. Within my personal diet, the largest variables are easily quality, time, and cost. In my diet quality refers more to whether a food is healthy, as opposed to how well it is made or the conditions surrounding the food s origins. I hold nutritional value in high regard in my evaluation of food, as within the past year I have become considerably conscious regarding fitness and health. Despite my desire for healthier options I often have to compromise, since time and money taper the levels of healthy options I consume as well as the frequency. The factor of time also plays a significant role in what I eat. When my

  • 8. Obanua Ogugua Critical Analysis Interestingly, it is clear now that the author might not have been interested in portraying the polygamy in the novel in the literal sense, but deftly twists the novel to largely accommodate his message on the immiscibility of tradition and modernity. And what better way to effect this than through the element of marriage? He marries the societal constructs together to show the ghastly effect of having them so close together. We also, however, must not ignore that there is actually a message on polygamy as it relates to human relationships and its lethal effects. We can therefore say that the author has managed to kill two birds with one stone. Moving on, having established the foregoing, strife becomes the chemical reaction when the two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So, the supposition that Ogugua is actually a representation of modernity actually holds. Also interesting to explore is the introduction by the author of the detail that concerned the love affair between Ogugua and the Portuguese merchant. This little detail stamps our claim that Obanua s society, Ozala, had begun to experience change through modernity. Through historical books, we come to know that Nigeria (which is undoubtedly the secondary setting of the novel) first begun its journey to modernity when the Portuguese came into the country for trade purposes and, at this point, as is surely with any instance of human interaction, ideas and societal patterns were exchanged, more so as the language, Portuguese, infiltrated its way into the system. That minute detail therefore becomes something like a deliberate attempt by the author to show us the modern change that was enveloping the town and Nigeria, by extension, hoping that we would grasp that bit of detail. Consequently, Ogugua s mulatto twin girls deserve some critical attention. That they are culturally mixed gives us a clue that they are representations also, of the cultural malaise with which we are concerned. The role they play in the house is also very significant. We can call them catalysts of disaster since they often instigate

Through social media people are able to freely post their opinions about any topic at any time of the day. • 11. The Solar Of Solar Power Essay Solar Power Innovations Solar Power has been observed as early as the year of 1839 by a French physicist named Alexandre Edmond Becquerel. He invented the first photovoltaic cell. Since then his studies and works have been perfected on and continue to change the world in which we live for the better. Photovoltaic cells have constantly been evolving ever since. In 1883, Charles Fritts built the first solid state photovoltaic cell using materials such as gold and selenium. With further advances to the system, scientist were able to recreate the cell in a way that could serve as an alternative power source on the satellite named Vanguard that was flown into space in the year of 1958. In the 1970 s there was an oil crisis when Middle Eastern countries proclaimed a trading ban, encouraging oil companies to buy solar firms. Funded research allowed for first, second and third generation cells to be constructed. Currently, the cost of solar energyhas exponentially decreased with the falling price of silicon, allowing for many new innovations to take place. Thin solar film is a second generation cell that is being commercially used. The creation of solar thin film allowed us to reduce cost even further as it is printed in rolls which can be incorporated into things like building materials instead of having to have big bulky expensive panels. The film is lightweight, flexible and most importantly, affordable. Over the past few years, the thin solar film has become more efficient

The Castle of Otranto The author of Arcadia, Tom Stoppard, uses a lot of irony and incorporates a web of relationships and coincidences into his plays that can get a bit confusing, especially if you are not familiar with the things that he makes reference to. In the play, on page thirteen, Lady Croom, Thomasina s mother, compares Mr. Noakes landscape style to that of Ann Radcliffe s and Horace Walpole s imagery, both of which were Gothic novelists of the eighteenth century. The author s purpose in including this bit is interesting, especially if you are familiar with the novels he refers to. Here s some help: This novel was first published in 1764. His resolution was increased when a skeleton dressed in rags advised that he not marry Matilda. Later that day Manfred heard news of Theodore in the chapel with a woman. Manfred was jealous and went to the chapel and stabbed the woman, who turned out to be his daughter, Matilda. Theodore proclaimed, over the dead body of Matilda, that he was the true Prince of Otranto. At that moment the giant form of the dead prince of Alfonso appeared and announced that Theodore was the rightful heir of Otranto. Then Alfonso ascended to heaven and was received by St. Nicholas. Theodore was the son of Father Jerome, then prince of Falconara, and Prince Alfonso the Good s daughter. Manfred confessed that he had taken Otranto from Theodore and then he and Hippolita entered neighboring convents. Theodore married Isabella and they lived in Otranto as the prince and princess. LINK TO STORY Walpole s The Castle of Otranto was the first example of a Gothic novel. Gothic, by definition, is a genre of literature characterized by a brooding, gloomy setting, and mysterious, sinister, or violent events. Lady Croom s reference to The Castle of Otranto and to The Mysteries of Udolpho, which is another Gothic novel by a later author, Ann Radcliffe, is one technique used by Stoppard to describe Noakes style. In 1809 Gothic novels were widely popular so it is safe to assume that all of Stoppard s seventeenth century characters would have heard of the

How would you feel knowing that the water your family uses everyday might slowly be killing them? Many people believe that the government is secretly poisoning communities across the country by putting fluoride in our tap water. Others believe that fluoride is a safe product that benefits us. Most scientists and researchers are split on whether fluoride is harmful or not. The United States has been fluoridating communities water supplies since the early 1940 s (livescience.com, 2013). Black Dwarf Research Paper Stars are born, grow old, and die, at rates that are related to their mass and any external pressures acting on them, similar to the life cycle of all living things in the universe. The process in which stars change dramatically throughout their existence is called stellar evolution and can take millions to billions of years. Stellar evolution describes how stars transform over time, from birth, through life, which includes growth, and ending in death. Fusion, the force that generates energy, is balanced by the pull of gravity, resulting in the progression and development of the star. Stars begin their life cycle as molecular clouds, or nebula. Some event, such as a shock wave or collision of a galaxy, causes the cloud to collapse and form smaller pieces, which contract inward and form a protostar. As the star... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once the helium in the core is exhausted, the star emits its outer layers into space, contracts down, and emerges as a White Dwarf. Ultimately, the White Dwarf will lose all of its energy, collapse due to gravity, and enter a Black Dwarf stage. No Black Dwarfs have been observed in our universe because the time it takes for a White Dwarf to cool completely is likely to be trillions of years. A Black Dwarf is simply an explanation for what would result following the death of a White Dwarf. In larger stars, the core s temperature increases enough to burn carbon into neon. Burning and contraction are repeated until iron is established in the core. The pressure of neutrons will interrupt the collapse of the core, creating a neutron star. The sudden cease in the contraction of the core allows some of the mass to flow inward. The core becomes heavier and can t tolerate it s own gravitational force. This creates a shock wave blowing the outer layer of the star apart in a core collapse supernova eruption. This explosion results in the distribution of elements throughout the

To a ten year old child, Marjane, for instance, it is a strong reason to protest and question these actions because a big shift in her school has taken place from a non religious school with little legislation to a fully reformed school highly based upon religion. Marjane looks to faces of disgust for these new regulations and eventually progresses to vocal rebellion as her education progresses. The early stages of education reformation besides dress code also include religion based education and gender based learning with no opposition from citizens. Before the Iranian revolution, schools were not mandatory to be religious and if they were, they had freedom of religion to practice something other than Shia Islam. This change of a religious school base is stated by the Library of Congress due to a three pronged program that involved purging courses and textbooks believed to slander Islam and substituting courses on religion; purging teachers to ensure that only those who understood the true meaning of Islam (i.e., were not secular) remained in the schools.. They include dysfunctional mood, potentially including major depressive episodes, mild to moderate depressive episodes, manic episodes, hypomanic episodes, and mixed episodes, which are often separated by periods of relatively normal mood. (BDII). There are two types of Bipolar Disorders that I will cover in this paper. They include Bipolar I disorder (BP I) and Bipolar II disorder (BD II).According to the Epidemiologic Catchment Area Study, as cited by Kleinman, Lowin, Flood, Gandhi, Edgell, and Revicki (2003), the lifetime prevalence by race and ethnicity for BD I and BD II, are as follows: Caucasian 0.8% and 0.4%, African American 1.0% and 0.6%, and Hispanic 0.7% and 0.5%.. Lifetime prevalence rate for Bipolar I is 0.6%and bipolar II it is 0.3% over a 12 month period (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). People who have Bipolar I disorder typically experience alternating episodes of depression and mania where there is a separation of some level of normalcy in the sequence (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). For example, they might be depressed for 4 days feel normal for a couple of days than go into a manic episode. The decade cradled the beginnings of electronic music and produced the first commercial compact discs (CDs). At the very least all rock bands were expected to house a vocalist who could sing notes into the stratosphere or a virtuosic guitar player who could play at inhuman speeds. Michael Jackson was reborn as the King of Pop, and Madonna would follow him in her own right. There was a lot of dancing, a lot of leather, and a lot of Aquanet. This was pop culture, but the most interesting thing about the 80s didn t happen until 1991, because as far as I m concerned that s when everything 80s met the guillotine. In 1991 Nirvana released their breakthrough album Nevermind closely preceded by the album s defining hit single Smells Like Teen Spirit. The mainstream music audience wouldn t have heard anything like Nevermind up to the point in time when it was released on September 24, 1991. It created a schism in pop culture between decades. Mrs. Mallard, the wife of Brently Mallard, hears the tragic news about her husband s death and reacts as the society would expect with sorrow. Soon, however, she experiences the joy that comes with freedom and no bondage of marriage holding her down. As the plot continues, she finds out the information about her husband s deathwas false and she loses her life: When the doctors came, they said she had died of heart disease of joy that kills (525). Although the doctors believed that she died of happiness, she actually died because she lost her freedom. In The Story of an Hour, Chopin depicts Louise s dream of achieving the forbidden freedom and the difficulties of becoming a single unit in marriage through the use of point of view, symbolism, repetition, and dramatic irony to convey the meaning of the story. Chopin writes the story in the third person limited point of view which indicates that only Mrs. Mallard s thoughts are available to the reader. They would be applauded and later escorted from the camp and would have their lives ended. Everyone was deprived of their rights so nothing was allowed and that is why this time was called year zero since nothing was allowed. Nearly two million Cambodians died from various reasons, but the main reason for this bloodshed was that the Khmer Rouge only cared for Angka and for their selfish leader Pol Pot. Fields have been bathed in blood, schools turned to slaughter houses, and families destroyed, children, men, and women killed. This is why we should never forgive or forget what the Khmer Rouge has done to the Cambodians and we all need to ensure that another Holocaust does not
  • 39. Describe The Relationship Between The Ionic Radius And Its... The atomic radius will increase as you down a group, this is also shown on the table. The reason in which it might go down is because there are more filled energy levels that are between the nucleus and the outer electron. This is also because more electrons are being added to the atoms and they are all at a similar distance to one another. You can clearly see that as you move across a period the atomic radius will decrease and this is because the atom is clearly smaller. The outer electrons are shown to be closer to the nucleus and are strongly attracted to the centre this means that it will become more difficult to remove the outermost electron. This is the distance away from the central atom. Ionic radius will be seen increasing when going down the table and this will decrease across the periodic table. ... When an electron is added to form an atom, this will form an anion, the added electron will repel to the other electrons and this will then result in an increase in the size of the atom that is presented. The trend of the ionic radius is shown by the size of the ionic radius shields the outermost electrons by the inner shell electrons and this shows that the outer shell electrons won t fell a positive charge of

Lifeboat In Life Of Pi s Life Essay In Yann Martel s Life of Pi, a boy named Pi undergoes a series of unfortunate events that ultimately lead to him being trapped on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific with a 450 pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. As the story develops, so does Pi s fear and feelings of inferiority to Richard Parker. Until Chapter 80 of the novel, Richard Parker is sedate, allowing Pi to survive. With Richard Parker being the alpha, Pi believes he will be forced to prolong his hunger and offer the fish to the tiger in an attempt to save his own life. However, Pi realizes, I was more set on eating than I was on staying alive (222). It is then that Pi decides he will strive to override his own savagery. In a moment of fortitude driven by hunger, Pi demands the eye contact of Richard Parker. It becomes clear to Pi that suddenly his brute strength meant only moral weakness (222). Pi has conquered his fear of Richard Parker by looking directly into his eyes, and prevails because the strength of Pi s mind is superior to that of the tiger s being. This marks the point of Pi s humanity becoming the alpha over his savagery. When Martel instills a double meaning in the phrase, alpha animal, he paves the path that Pi will take towards salvation. Pi faces his worst fear by staring into the eyes of a Bengal tiger and allowing the humaneness in him to overcome the savage part. From this point on, Pi is no longer terrified of what resides on the lifeboat with him. In addition, Pi is able to take control of his life again. Now, with Pi s intellect restored, he is able to safely navigate the rest of his journey on the
  • 41. The Effect Of Parapsychology On The Existence Of Science Not a lot of people can say they have had a paranormal experience. It is the kind of thing that happens once in a lifetime, and usually it is not anything big. But those who do have these experiences pertain that belief in the supernatural, and it is these documented experiences that have brought about the study of parapsychology. Is there something to these claims or is it due to mental illusions? Parapsychology is a highly debated branch of science because of the existence of phenomena that cannot be explained, the main argument being in the existence of physics and whether there is something beyond or not. s Parapsychology is the study of supernatural phenomena or more specifically, psychicphenomena. Even the learned expressed interest in these, however, the wide acceptance of these occurrences may have been due to the insufficient education of the general public. After the Enlightenment, which occurred in the 18th century, the existence of deities and magic was more widely contested and doubted, leading to the discrediting of these phenomena as science. One of the first scientists to attempt a scientific study of psychic phenomena was Franz Anton Mesmer in the 1700 s; he experimented with and attempted to patent the mesmerism technique, more commonly known as hypnotism. Even though his method did not achieve scientific recognition, shifting religious beliefs allowed for the widespread Spiritualism movement, which allowed for the use of mediums and the like (Psychicscience.org). Modern parapsychology came about in the 1920 s with the invention of statistical tools and the efforts of a researcher by the name of J.B. Rhine. Rhine had three aims through his experiments: to provide data on parapsychological phenomena rather than to attempt to prove their existence, to achieve scientific recognition and to prove that psychic ability was not limited to certain people and was a part of human psyche all along just waiting to be discovered. Though he was not necessarily successful in his goals, Rhine did change his field in that now psychic study is not limited to individuals with psychic talent, rather a

The issue of euthanasia is one of the most discussed topics in all of the United States Congress. US government agencies, legislators and leaders have attempted unsuccessfully to stop assisted suicide nationwide by barring the use of federally controlled substances at lethallevels intended for mercy killing. There are many issues surrounding the act of assisted suicide that are yet to be resolved in the United States. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After a couple of months or years, then that is the time when the person can decide wither to end their life. Assisted suicide should be the very last resort. If someone wants to end their life by means of a doctor then they should be allowed to do it. US pathologist Dr. Jack Kevorkian, who by his own admission has assisted 130 people with their own suicides, has been the target of considerable media and government attention. Kevorkian is the leading quot;right to die doctor in the US because of his work providing lethal medication to patients so that they may commit or pursue their own suicides. But the release of a videotape by Kevorkian in January, 1999, showing the physician injecting lethal medication into a patient in Michigan has changed the nature of the controversy from the right to die to medically assisted euthanasia. Kevorkian is charged with murder and faces trial next spring. Dr. Kevorkian is the first known US physician to carry out an act of mercy killing. In conclusion, I think that it is legal for someone to end their life only if they have a certain condition that is un curable or if the person is suffering tremendously. A doctor who specializes in this area should be the only one to perform the practice. It should be illegal for non professionals who carry out this act in their homes. For minors under eighteen years of age, the parents are the only one who can have the

People are afraid of them because of the stories they have heard or seen and they tend to flinch when they hear the words pit bull . Pit Bulls are discriminated against because of what they are and how people portray them to be. Because of this, Pit Bulls are paying the price for something they have no fault in. Pit Bullis not actually a breed. The legal definition of a pit bull is a class of dogs that includes the following breeds: American pit bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American bulldog and any other pure bred or mixed breed dog that is a combination of these dogs (DogsBite, Pit bull FAQ). Their result is them being fearful of Pit Bulls and not wanting to have anything to do with them. They take these stories from the media about a Pit Bull attack and assume all Pit Bulls are vicious and will attack people. This is how the stereotypes come about. However, some people work to change the perception of Pit Bulls, like the owners of Johnny and Leo. For me, I knew I wouldn t be changing the world in one day, but at least I had a chance to help change Detroit. I guess that s why the service project was so incredibly important to me, and why I was crushed when the DJ made an announcement later that day. It came around 2:30 P.M.; we had been talking, dancing, and waiting together for 5 hours, and our bus still hadn t come. Anyone could tell how exhausted we were by the looks on our faces. Just as I had convinced myself that our bus was next, a message came over the speakers: Buses 91 100 will not be leaving today.
