Emily Dickinson Alliteration
There s a certain Slant of light by Emily Dickinson is a poem describing the speaker s observation of
the light during a winter afternoon. Describing light might elicit a feeling of joy and happiness but
Dickinson s poem describes light is a gloomy manner. By using imagery and alliteration Dickinson
creates a feeling of disconcertment towards the light described in the poem. The first stanza provides
the setting of this poem. There s a certain Slant of light, Winter Afternoons (1 2) obviously tells the
reader that the setting is the a winter afternoon and that the speaker is describing the reflections of
light at this time of day. Another point to be noticed in these lines is the capitalized S in slant which
indicates a certain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
None may teach it Any Tis the seal Despair (9 10) tells the reader that the idea of internal heavenly
hurt is something that cannot be taught due to the lack of a defined meaning of this internal hurt. At
this point the light has turned into a metaphor of a Despair. In line 11 an imperial affliction again
presses an oppressive connotation upon the light like in the beginning of the poem. the Air mentioned
in line 12 is added to show how the Slant of light is everywhere like air is everywhere. From what we
can gather from the poem so far this link between light and air is not a good thing if the light continues
to be described as something

College Education Is No Longer Valuable
Many people believe that getting a college education is no longer valuable. They believe that with the
internet at their fingertips there is no need for a college education, but college education provides
more than just information for their students. College is about independence and learning how to take
charge of his or her life. It is an opportunity for students to learn about their future career. Students
learn about intriguing subjects, how to make lifelong friends, and how to spend valuable time with
people outside of his or her social circle. Students have the rest of their lives to go to work every day,
but college gives them a chance to make connections, build networks, and get to know new people
who have a different life experiences. Many people believe that the time and cost of a college
education no longer outweighs the benefits; however, acquiring a college degree gives students an
opportunity to find their dream job and to earn more money in the future. Before entering the
workplace, students should take advantage of the opportunities that acquiring a college degree will
provide. One opportunity is that college allows students to learn what career they like and dislike
before they enter the labor force. College is a time to explore a major that will continue to appeal to
the student throughout his or her life. Many students are unsure of their career path after graduating
from high school. College provides students with a stepping stone to experience

Decentralized Organizations And Its Impact On...
While organizations once typically held centralized structures, the more recent trend is toward
decentralization. Centralization is the extent that and organization s decision making is made at a
single point or by a single person. In centralized organizations, top managers make all of the
decisions, while lower level managers and employees follow their instructions. In decentralized
organizations, decision making is delegated to work groups or the managers who are closest to the
organization s day to day actions. Centralization affects employee/manager relationships by providing
a more stable environment and clarity regarding whom to go to for directions, while decentralization
allows employees to feel less isolated from decision makers and have more autonomy. In terms of its
impact on organizational strategies, decentralization allows for problems to be solved more quickly by
those who have more direct knowledge about the specific customer base, while centralization lets
companies avoid bad choices and maintain a stable environment.
Centralization affects employee/manager relationships by providing clarity about the relationship.
Because it is so structured, it provides a more stable environment with a clear hierarchy. As a result,
centralization provides an unambiguous relationship between managers and their employees. In
centralized organizations, there is no confusion about who to report to or whose instructions to follow.
Simple structures, bureaucracies, and virtual

Prevalence Of Diabetes Among The Americans
Prevalence of Diabetes in Kuwait
Today, Diabetes happens to be the most challenging medical disorder existing in the world, with an
alarming rise in the number of individuals contracting and dealing with the same. Among the 10
countries worldwide, having the highest prevalence rate of Diabetes, Kuwait backs the ninth position.
Kuwait has an alarming 23.3% of prevalence of Diabetes and that is estimated to rise in the next 10
years.1, 2
There are many contributing factors for the increasing prevalence of Diabetes among the natives of
Kuwait like drastic epidemiological and cultural changes, sedentary life style, unhealthy eating habits,
ageing, over weight and urbanization.2, 3 Studies reveal that the occurrence of Type II Diabetes
mellitus is also increasing among the younger individuals, mostly covering the ones below 30 years of
age.4 It was also found that 73.4% of the people with Diabetes are below 60 years of age , i.e. in their
productive years, especially in Arab regions including Kuwait, which may adversely affect the
capabilities of individuals and the quality of life in the long run.36 Also, the onset of Diabetes is
characterized to be gradual, with around 30% of the patients presenting with complications at the time
of diagnosis5 and an asymptomatic time period of 10 years in which the disease remains undetected.6,
7 Hence, Diabetes poses a huge burden over the economy as a consequence of loss of productivity and
cost of health treatments.36

Pyramus And Thisbe Vs. Romeo And Juliet

CAMS 045 Final Paper/Final Draft

Pyramus Thisbe vs. Romeo Juliet
Tragic love stories have always been appealing to the literary world. This would be seen in Ovid s
Pyramus and Thisbe and William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet . Ovid, one of Rome s greatest
poets, was famous for The Metamorphoses. His love stories were deeply emotional, yet very tragic.
The story of Pyramus and Thisbe is the most emotional story in The Metamorphoses and the most
referenced in love tragedy. William Shakespeare s best plays were his tragedies, starting with Hamlet
all the way through to Macbeth. No one knows exactly which source Shakespeare directly drew from
to create the well known tragic romance, Romeo and Juliet , but it s pretty clear that somewhere along
the way there was some major influence from Pyramus and Thisbe. Both stories, although written in
different era share one key theme: love and tragedy. We fall in love and when once we do something
rare and beautiful is created. Unfortunately not all love stories have happy endings. The lesson learned
in both Pyramus and Thisbe and Romeo and Juliet stories will be the focus of this essay.
Pyramus and Thisbe were lovers whose houses side by side to each other. They were considered so
beautiful that If you searched all the East, you d find no girl with greater charm than Thisbe; and no
boy in Babylon was handsomer than Pyramus (Ovid 111). Overtime from living

Intracellular Fluid Essay
Intracellular fluid (ICF) is liquid found inside the cell (separated into compartments by membranes)
and extracellular fluid (ECF) is all of the body fluid outside of the cell. ECF contains interstitial fluid
(found in the lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, glomerular filtrate of the kidneys) and plasma (found in the
circulatory system). Sodium accounts for 90% of the ECF cations (positively charged ions) and
regulates osmotic forces, therefore, regulates water balance (McCance Huether, 2014, p. 108).
Regulation of sodium balance is facilitated by aldosterone, which is triggered by the renin angiotensin
mechanism. Potassium is the major intracellular electrolyte found in most body fluids and is

How would you determine whether she has cystitis or pyelonephritis?
a. Differentiate between cystitis and pyelonephritis. Consider history, possible presenting symptoms,
and urinalysis results.
Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder (lower urinary tract) and is the most common site of UTI
(McCance Huether, 2014, p. 1350). E. coli is the most common pathogen of UTI s and occurs more
common in women due to the shorter urethra and the proximity of the urethra to the vagina and anus.
The patient can be asymptomatic or experience urinary frequency, urgency, and discomfort. The
presence of white cells in the urinalysis is indicative of infection and the urine culture can identify the
bacteria.
Pyelonephritis is a type of urinary tract infection that affects one or both kidneys (upper urinary tract)
( Pyelonephritis, 2012, p. 1). Bacteria (commonly caused by E. coli.) enters from the lower urinary
tract and can lead to renal scarring. Symptoms of pyelonephritis may include a fever with pain in the
lower back or abdominal area. Hematuria and vomiting can also occur. Diagnosis includes blood test
and urinalysis with culture, but may involve imaging studies to detect renal abnormalities or

Research Paper On Conic Sections
Conic Sections: the Gateway to the Universe
Rationale:
The purpose of this exploration is to discuss how conics are used to express figurative paths for both
celestial and artificial bodies in the universe. In order to thoroughly express the significance of conics
in astronomy and aerospace engineering, I have explored the applications in which conic sections are
used to better the understanding of space. This paper will discuss how conic sections are used to
determine the path of celestial bodies, the history of how conic sections were used to describe these
paths, and use these mechanics in order to launch artificial satellites into the universe.
Internal Assessment:

However, the original qualities of these conics are altered to fit the orbit components.
Firstly, in the mathematical world, the foci are located outside of the ellipse, however, in terms of
space, the foci are on the inside. This is because the object being orbited, called the primary, must be
one of the focal points that the orbiter goes around. The study of the motions of space vehicles and
satellites moving under the influence of forces is called orbital mechanics. Orbital mechanics are
composed of many factors, which can be expressed through the equation of an ellipse, only called
different names (Braeunig).
Orbital Elements:
Argument of Periapsis: the distance between orbiter and the primary (Braeunig)
Inclination: the distance between the orbital plane of the satellite and the equator of its primary
(Braeunig)
Eccentricity: distance between the foci (Braeunig)
Longitude of Ascending Node: the longitude of the celestial body

Pros And Cons Of School Uniforms In Public Schools
Many public schools around the world have always given children diversity within the educational
environment. School administrators are able to achieve this goal by allowing students the ability to
freely express themselves. Until recent years, public schools and administrators have noted an
astonishing difference in behavior and academic performance. This success is due to the use of school
uniforms mandated in public schools. Unfortunately, most school districts follow certain policies that
restrict students from choosing their own form of dress. This restriction may contain unintentional
negative effects that may emotionally harm the children and interfere with their true self. School
uniforms follow strict policies that should not be mandatory in public schools because they are a
violation of student s human rights that deny these children the right to self expression and
individuality.
When school uniforms are mandatory they are unjustly forced upon a student denying them a sense of
self expression. Most children enjoy wearing clothing that they like and clothing that represents who
they are becoming as an individual. Although, when uniforms are mandatory students are not
permitted to wear the style of clothing that they enjoy. This could include clothing that represents the
children as a person such as graphics, symbols, lettering and phrases. When students are given a
mandatory dress code, they are ripped of their human right of self expression. One important factor

Learning English Language Analysis
At the beginning of the year I didn t feel as confident, I felt scared and different about writing; but I
didn t feel the same way as I feel now about writing in english. The reason I didn t feel as confident at
the beginning of the year is because I was an ESOL student. During the two years of me being an
ESOL student my english grew from level 1 to level 6, meaning that I no longer need any help in
understanding English. After many tries, I finally reached my goal in writing I wanted to be at; as a
student in 8th grade. I had many weakness that I tried my best to become better at, such as, proper
word usage, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. But not only I felt uncomfortable with my
writing, I also felt uncomfortable in speaking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I practiced different ways of writing and strengthened my weakness; such as, grammar, and sentence
structure. I learned from my mistakes and know many sentence structures that will help me write the
correct way, with less comma splices and more sentences like compound complex. Now I know how
to write long, and complicated assignments, I m ready to continue learning more in high school. After
being an ESOL student for 2 years, I feel finally confident in writing and be in the range with other
students. Being an ESOL student can be difficult too, you have to learn new things from the beginning
as if you are going to first grade, starting with the ABC and learning to read, while the other students
you are with know all of this. His makes you feel uncomfortable and unconfident near them. And only
once you learn all the things they know, you feel confident just as much they do. After 3 years in the
USA I now know that I m ready for high school, and ready to share what I know. I know things that I
would never had thought I will know as good as now, like, english. The only way to learn something
new, the correct way, such as a new language, is to be at that place, to hear how people talk, have
conversation, and how they use words. Now that I ve understood that, I clearly know that if I stayed in
Israel I wouldn t know how to write essays and many assignments that have been given to me. But I m
also glad that I know the people I met in those years, many of which had helped me and gave

Socrates Flaws
Socrates, in a simple but bold statement, proclaims wisdom as being the cardinal virtue. He believed
that if one does not examine oneself, their life has no true meaning. Socrates defended the idea and
virtue of self examination, for he believed it is through change and growth that people attain self
betterment. Not only this, but this method of critical reflection also realigns values with what is
actually important in life, such as wisdom and spirituality. Socrates believed that examination and
scrutiny of one s beliefs were necessary in order to improve oneself. Without review, people would
never be able to see their faults. Socrates lists this reason in Apology as why he cross examines
people: For I do nothing but go about persuading ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A person with unexamined values generally holds the insignificant to be what is important and what is
truly significant to be inconsequential. In the Apology, Socrates addresses the men of Athens on this
subject: Are you not ashamed of heaping up the greatest amount of money and honour and reputation,
and caring so little about wisdom and truth and the greatest improvement of the soul (Plato)? Through
this statement, Socrates argument perfectly encapsulates the state that an unexamined society exists in
one that values greatness over goodness. Though over two thousand years have passed since Socrates
stated this before the Athenian court, it remains an accurate portrait of society; the majority of people
amass material things, strive to become famous, and seemingly work only to gain wealth, all while
hardly caring about knowledge, morals, or personal integrity. These skewing of values are the result of
an unexamined life. People who never inspect what they hold valuable are swept up into society s race
to riches and fame, instead of focusing on enriching themselves and others with wisdom and truth.
People often ruin their lives as well as others in pursuit of their vices. Socrates knew that by
examining oneself and what values are genuinely important, one not only safeguards himself against
such downfalls, but they can also be led to the most valuable things of

First Lord of the Admiralty, Minister of Munitions, Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Prime Minster.

To prove this, he tirelessly travelled to military positions and installations. Once there, he would

Martin Gilbert wrote, It was Churchill s own opposition to all forms of defeatism that marked out the
first six months of his war premiership and establish the nature and pattern of his war leadership. [3]
In conclusion, Winston Churchill was a remarkably humble man. He always refused to take the credit
he deserved for his leadership. When cheered at the demise of Nazi Germany, he responded, I have
never accepted what many people have kindly said, namely that I inspired the nation. It was a nation
and race dwelling all round that had the lion heart. I had the luck to be called upon to give the roar. [4]
He was the lion who roared when the British Empire needed him most.

that show dystopian in there novels. While both novels are science fiction, the Hunger Games show

Sartre s No Exit
As stated earlier, man is an autonomous individual. Our freedom of choice determines what we make
of ourselves. In the duration of Sartre s play, No Exit, we are observed to three major characters
serving their afterlife in hell together. Inez, one of the major characters, serves her afterlife from
committing suicide with her lesbian lover concluding an affair with a woman s husband. Her actions,
in the play, overlook what is considered to be an important example of how we are completely in
control of our actions. By acting as Estelle s mirror , due to her personal admiration and obsession
with her appearance, Inez engages in an action in which she ultimately knew would not result in the
way she hoped for. Estelle, being a straight woman that is attracted to older ... Show more content on

However, our thought process that there might be the slightest chance that our situation will work for
the best, motivates us to move in that direction of choice. Take Christopher McCandless for example;
a graduate from Emory University as a top athlete and student with a bright future. Rather than taking
the safe route, his freedom of choice caused for him to embark on a journey in the Alaskan wilderness.
His bohemian actions furthermore, provoked a dramatic end to his journey as he died of starvation.
The importance of this example nonetheless, is the fact that we are aware that McCandless was in
complete control of his situation, but decided to use his freedom of choice to move in a direction in
which he thought he can succeed in. These findings articulate the work of Sartre and his central claim
on existentialism. Another example of how man is an autonomous individual comes from the thought
process of every high school senior; whether or not it is the right time to attend college. Given our
freedom of choice, we have the ability to pursue any career we aspire for with the thought process that
everything will work out as we hope

Benefits Of An Limited Liability Company From A Legal...
The LLC remains a limited liability company from a legal standpoint, but for tax purposes it can be
treated as an S Corp. Be sure to contact the state s income tax agency where you plan to file your
election form. Ask about the tax requirements and if they recognize elections of other entities (such as
the S Corp).
Advantages of an LLC:
Limited Liability. Members are protected from personal liability for business decisions or actions of
the LLC. This means that if the LLC incurs debt or is sued, members personal assets are usually
exempt. This is similar to the liability protections afforded to shareholders of a corporation. Keep in
mind that limited liability means limited liability members are not necessarily shielded from wrongful
acts, including those of their employees.
Less Recordkeeping. An LLC s operational ease is one of its greatest advantages. Compared to an S
Corporation, there is less registration paperwork and there are smaller start up costs.
Sharing of Profits. There are fewer restrictions on profit sharing within an LLC, as members distribute
profits as they see fit. Members might contribute different proportions of capital and sweat equity.
Consequently, it s up to the members themselves to decide who has earned what percentage of the
profits or losses.
Disadvantages of an LLC:
Limited Life. In many states, when a member leaves an LLC, the business is dissolved and the
members must fulfill all remaining legal and business obligations to close

Animal Exploitation Of Animals
Animal exploitation has been going on forever and still is present. Numerous amounts of individuals
are causing the animals to suffer just for their own advantage and benefit. People don t realise how
much hardships these animals are put through just for a meal, entertainment, clothing, captivity, etc.
These animals go through this yet it can replaced with something other than animals. You can eat other
things other than an pig, cow, lamb, etc, and still have all the nutrients, and protein that those meats
consist, also your kids are getting unnecessary hormones and all these chemicals due to farmers
injecting these types of toxins to get their animals fatter which significantly increases your cancer risk,
diabetes and heart disease. Meat is harmful to adults but also children as their bodies are still
developing. Animals are put through mental stress and pressure to fulfill the needs for humans, for
them to see enjoyment, for humans to be satisfied while these animals are unhappy and depressed.
Circus animals are put through huge mental stress, and pressure their whole life, as they are usually
forced in travelling crates, barns, or trucks in which lacks room for these creatures to move freely.
These travelling crates are uncomfortable and cramped. Once the animal is useless, they are either
sold or put down, as the circus can t afford a useless animal. Yet numerous amounts of people don t

Tale Of The Shoe Internal Conflict
The Tale of the Shoe :
The Tale of a Struggle Within
The passage from Emma Donoghue s, The Tale of the Shoe, advances the idea that the struggle
between good and evil does not have to be presented through physical entities that it can be developed
through an internal conflict, which is shown through the use of agency and sensory experience.
In the well known Cinderella story the antagonists are the evil stepmother and her two daughters, an
external force that attempts to cause suffering for and to control Cinderella. Donoghue s version of the
story argues that this perception of evil is not the only one that exists that evil can come from an inner
source. This is expressed via the manipulation of agency. Although the story is told in third person
limited, the agency of other forces seeps into the narrative. The antagonists take the form of voices.
The voices become a character of their own they have the ability to ask questions and scold the
narrator, They asked why I was still alive (Donoghue 2). These voices force the protagonist to perform
the traditional chores that Cinderella does, Nobody made me do the things...The shrill ... Show more

The pain is caused by the evil within her and this restricts her. This restriction is seen with her speech,
Every word that came out of my mouth limped away like a toad (Donoghue 1). The fact that the story
opens with a line about the sensation of feeling or touch, Till she came it was all cold (Donoghue 1)
foreshadows that the she who comes will right all the wrongs with the protagonists touch or senses.
The evil within the narrator can only be solved with the help of the woman, who evokes the good part
of the senses. Sensory experience is re established as helpful with the sight of beauty and goodness,
from the woman from the fire, Her eyes had flames in their centers, and her eyebrows were silvered

Human Papillomavirus Research Paper
The role of Human papillomavirus (HPV) as a necessary cause of cervical and other genitoanal
cancers has been established based on epidemiological and molecular research (1). HPV vaccines
targeting high risk HPV types 16 and 18, and low risk types 6 and 11 have been demonstrated as
protective against persistent infection, and hence carcinogenesis (2).
Introduction
Sexually transmitted infection with Human papillomavirus (HPV) is very common, with
approximately 50% of sexually active women having at least one HPV infection in the first 5 years
following the initiation of sexual activity (3). HPV infection is considered necessary, though not
sufficient, in order to develop cervical cancer. Evidence shows that almost all cervical cancers contain
HPV DNA, and that the attributable risk of infection for cervical cancer is higher than that of smoking
and lung cancer (6). Despite HPV being most commonly associated with cervical cancer, the virus is
capable of causing a number of cancers and benign lesions of the genitoanal region in both men and
women (4, 5). There are over 100 different genotypes of HPV based on the gene coding for the L1
capsid protein, of which can be further classified into either high risk oncogenic types, or low risk
types (1, 5) . Of those considered high risk, HPV 16 and 18 are the ... Show more content on

both sides claim the history of the city has been politicized by the other in order to strengthen their

My Personal Goals Essay
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these
goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy tale like, we tend to see life through a rose colored
glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals
tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing,
tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals.
There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals
I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
First, my family goals include how I see myself and how I see my ... Show more content on

I have planned monthly individual date nights with my children, so that they can have my undivided
attention for a certain period of time.
The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy
children, a happy and healthy relationship with one s spouse is paramount. In order to achieve this
goal my husband and I have decided to also dedicate more time for the two of us. For the next year we
have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that
brought us together. We have also decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a
family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our power to spend
Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate
families.
On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the
medical field has always been something I have looked forward to. As a child I wanted and dreamed
of being a doctor, however due to the choices I made in life and the priorities that I had not thought of,
I have come to realize that my childhood dream may not come true. Yet, I was able to compromise and
make short and long term goals that will lead me into a career in the medical field. My long term goal
is to enter the medical field world and be a respected contributor to it. I want to be able to help others

The answer that is yes, because the company did background checks and references and noted that
Rhonda had already been in four different altercations of assault with customers. In the broad vision
the company knew there might be a possibility of Rhonda attacking a customer since she is a
salesperson. One might assume that in order to sell a product the employee would come into contact
with the customer. Sandley knew there was a chance of an altercation but still hired and retained
Rhonda. In the case Medina v Grahams Cowboy, the court ruled in favor of damages to the plaintiff
because the bar knew of the doorman s reputation and still hired him, which made the bar negligent (
Medina v. Graham s Cowboys, Inc., 1992). This can also lead into the second part of what actions did
Sandley do once the allegations were made about their employee and if negligence would fall on the
company. If management recorded each incident and did not reprimand the employees, then that
would also be negligence on the company. The company would know what an employee did and if
there was a reprimand to the action. In the case of Rhonda, the first assault should have ended in her
termination effective immediately. For Martina, who did not have a background of violence the
company would not be considered at fault the first time. However, this goes back to how did
management handle the first assault and why would they keep her in sales. Sandley would be
personally responsible for the next two assault victims because Martina has already struck a customer
and now she is a liability that the company knows about and they would be held for negligence. The
last question revolves around was it Sandley Vacuum s intention or policy that the employees had to
follow rules about how to deal with customers and that such a policy should result in physical contact

Nations See Dramatic Decline in Fertility
Over the past half century, almost every nation has seen a dramatic fall in their fertility rates.
Population regulation differs through out the world based on the particular region. Populations can
stabilize through a variety of factors including modern communications, growing affluence,
urbanization, family planning and social reforms (Cunningham, 2013). China and the Indian state of
Kerala are examples of two very different methods to controlling population expansion. In the past
twenty years, total fertility dropped by more than half in China (Cunningham, 2013). The Chinese
regulations in place focus more on birth control rather then new social equality. This strategy depends
on strongly enforced policies set by the government, determining how many children a Chinese family
can produce. Chinese law provides a compulsory limit on reproduction that is punishable by law if an
individual exceeds the limits set. The strategy of strict laws with penalization is also combined with an
economic incentive for reducing births. A very different strategy regarding population stabilization can
be seen in Kerala, India. It involves a social justice strategy that believes social benefits as the solution
to family planning. This strategy is based on the assumption that unequal resource allocation is the
main problem that leads to a high population in developing countries (Cunningham, 2013). In Kerala,
providing a fair share of social benefits to everyone is seen as the key to family

The Significance Of Amadeus
The Significance of Mozart s Music in the Movie Amadeus Would producing a film without any
background music be possible? Technologically yes, of course, but any filmmakers would not try to
produce their movies without soundtracks because the images of films come truly alive when a
soundtrack is added in the movie (Monaco 235). Although due to the underdevelopment of film
techniques, many films in the 1920s were produced without music at first, after the progress of sound
film technology, the film industry completely moved from silent movies to talkies. Right after the
advent of talkies in the film industry, The Jazz Singer, the first sound movie, was released and
introduced the new genre of film a musical film. The new genre of the movie, ... Show more content

The storyline of Amadeus, which is based on the original play of the same title written by Peter
Shaffer, mainly revolves around the entire life of Mozart and his music. Basically, the movie s plot is
based on the rumor that Salieri poisoned Mozart because of his jealousy to Mozart s musical talent.
Even if the rumor, which had spread over Vienna in the 1820s, clearly turned out not to be true
through several historical research, still, the movie Amadeus depicts the fictional life of Mozart and
Salieri s plan to murder him in a realistic way by delicately displacing Mozart s great works to show
Salieri s intense inferiority to Mozart and his music. The movie s plot the story of Mozart s life in
Vienna and his early death is mainly unfolded with the confession of aged Salieri after his suicide
attempt feeling severe guilty conscience that he murders Mozart. Salieri reveals during his confession
that he wants to murder Mozart because of his inferiority to the genius of Mozart. With Salieri s
feeling of jealousy to Mozart, the movie develops its storyline based on the musical rivalry and
conflict between Mozart and Salieri. Considering the underlying reason of the rivalry their musical
talent between two characters, Mozart s music works as an essential role to move forward the plot of
the film. By arranging Mozart s music at the episodes that cause Salieri to feel

Women Still Can T Have It All By Anne-Marie Slaughter
Women can have it all is an abstract that has been pushed heavily in recent feminist movements.
Although, some believe that women do have the ability to have it all, with a family and career but,
Anne Marie Slaughter, president of New American Foundation, disagrees saying women can still not
have it all. She believes that women are still having to choose between a successful career and family.
Anne Marie Slaughter uses her own narration to prove her point, as well, as support from other news
sources and government officials. In Why Women Still Can t Have It All by Anne Marie Slaughter,
she used narration, a variety of voice, and style to make her argument, but, the narration made the
article seem opinionated, more than factual. First in this article, Slaughter presented her story of being
a director of policy planning, and how this motivated her to write the article. She explains her

would have been a more convincing argument if the author had used some logos, instead of just
having her narration and incorporating a few other successful people in Washington that stepped

an admirable, and stylish, presentation of the abstract, but it did not create the most effective argument
to the thesis. The narration even though, it included example of people with similar problems, it still

  • 2. Emily Dickinson Alliteration There s a certain Slant of light by Emily Dickinson is a poem describing the speaker s observation of the light during a winter afternoon. Describing light might elicit a feeling of joy and happiness but Dickinson s poem describes light is a gloomy manner. By using imagery and alliteration Dickinson creates a feeling of disconcertment towards the light described in the poem. The first stanza provides the setting of this poem. There s a certain Slant of light, Winter Afternoons (1 2) obviously tells the reader that the setting is the a winter afternoon and that the speaker is describing the reflections of light at this time of day. Another point to be noticed in these lines is the capitalized S in slant which indicates a certain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... None may teach it Any Tis the seal Despair (9 10) tells the reader that the idea of internal heavenly hurt is something that cannot be taught due to the lack of a defined meaning of this internal hurt. At this point the light has turned into a metaphor of a Despair. In line 11 an imperial affliction again presses an oppressive connotation upon the light like in the beginning of the poem. the Air mentioned in line 12 is added to show how the Slant of light is everywhere like air is everywhere. From what we can gather from the poem so far this link between light and air is not a good thing if the light continues to be described as something ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Decentralized Organizations And Its Impact On... While organizations once typically held centralized structures, the more recent trend is toward decentralization. Centralization is the extent that and organization s decision making is made at a single point or by a single person. In centralized organizations, top managers make all of the decisions, while lower level managers and employees follow their instructions. In decentralized organizations, decision making is delegated to work groups or the managers who are closest to the organization s day to day actions. Centralization affects employee/manager relationships by providing a more stable environment and clarity regarding whom to go to for directions, while decentralization allows employees to feel less isolated from decision makers and have more autonomy. In terms of its impact on organizational strategies, decentralization allows for problems to be solved more quickly by those who have more direct knowledge about the specific customer base, while centralization lets companies avoid bad choices and maintain a stable environment. Centralization affects employee/manager relationships by providing clarity about the relationship. Because it is so structured, it provides a more stable environment with a clear hierarchy. As a result, centralization provides an unambiguous relationship between managers and their employees. In centralized organizations, there is no confusion about who to report to or whose instructions to follow. Simple structures, bureaucracies, and virtual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Pyramus And Thisbe Vs. Romeo And Juliet Kevin Lord Josue Prof. Elizabeth Fogle CAMS 045 Final Paper/Final Draft August 15, 2014 Pyramus Thisbe vs. Romeo Juliet Tragic love stories have always been appealing to the literary world. This would be seen in Ovid s Pyramus and Thisbe and William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet . Ovid, one of Rome s greatest poets, was famous for The Metamorphoses. His love stories were deeply emotional, yet very tragic. The story of Pyramus and Thisbe is the most emotional story in The Metamorphoses and the most referenced in love tragedy. William Shakespeare s best plays were his tragedies, starting with Hamlet all the way through to Macbeth. No one knows exactly which source Shakespeare directly drew from to create the well known tragic romance, Romeo and Juliet , but it s pretty clear that somewhere along the way there was some major influence from Pyramus and Thisbe. Both stories, although written in different era share one key theme: love and tragedy. We fall in love and when once we do something rare and beautiful is created. Unfortunately not all love stories have happy endings. The lesson learned in both Pyramus and Thisbe and Romeo and Juliet stories will be the focus of this essay. Pyramus and Thisbe were lovers whose houses side by side to each other. They were considered so beautiful that If you searched all the East, you d find no girl with greater charm than Thisbe; and no boy in Babylon was handsomer than Pyramus (Ovid 111). Intracellular Fluid Essay Intracellular fluid (ICF) is liquid found inside the cell (separated into compartments by membranes) and extracellular fluid (ECF) is all of the body fluid outside of the cell. ECF contains interstitial fluid (found in the lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, glomerular filtrate of the kidneys) and plasma (found in the circulatory system). Sodium accounts for 90% of the ECF cations (positively charged ions) and regulates osmotic forces, therefore, regulates water balance (McCance Huether, 2014, p. 108). Regulation of sodium balance is facilitated by aldosterone, which is triggered by the renin angiotensin mechanism. How would you determine whether she has cystitis or pyelonephritis? a. Differentiate between cystitis and pyelonephritis. Consider history, possible presenting symptoms, and urinalysis results. Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder (lower urinary tract) and is the most common site of UTI (McCance Huether, 2014, p. 1350). E. coli is the most common pathogen of UTI s and occurs more common in women due to the shorter urethra and the proximity of the urethra to the vagina and anus. The patient can be asymptomatic or experience urinary frequency, urgency, and discomfort. The presence of white cells in the urinalysis is indicative of infection and the urine culture can identify the bacteria. Pyelonephritis is a type of urinary tract infection that affects one or both kidneys (upper urinary tract) ( Pyelonephritis, 2012, p. 1). Bacteria (commonly caused by E. coli.) enters from the lower urinary tract and can lead to renal scarring. Symptoms of pyelonephritis may include a fever with pain in the lower back or abdominal area. Hematuria and vomiting can also occur. Research Paper On Conic Sections Conic Sections: the Gateway to the Universe Rationale: The purpose of this exploration is to discuss how conics are used to express figurative paths for both celestial and artificial bodies in the universe. In order to thoroughly express the significance of conics in astronomy and aerospace engineering, I have explored the applications in which conic sections are used to better the understanding of space. This paper will discuss how conic sections are used to determine the path of celestial bodies, the history of how conic sections were used to describe these paths, and use these mechanics in order to launch artificial satellites into the universe. However, the original qualities of these conics are altered to fit the orbit components. Firstly, in the mathematical world, the foci are located outside of the ellipse, however, in terms of space, the foci are on the inside. This is because the object being orbited, called the primary, must be one of the focal points that the orbiter goes around. The study of the motions of space vehicles and satellites moving under the influence of forces is called orbital mechanics. Orbital mechanics are composed of many factors, which can be expressed through the equation of an ellipse, only called different names (Braeunig). • 10. Pros And Cons Of School Uniforms In Public Schools Many public schools around the world have always given children diversity within the educational environment. School administrators are able to achieve this goal by allowing students the ability to freely express themselves. Until recent years, public schools and administrators have noted an astonishing difference in behavior and academic performance. This success is due to the use of school uniforms mandated in public schools. Unfortunately, most school districts follow certain policies that restrict students from choosing their own form of dress. This restriction may contain unintentional negative effects that may emotionally harm the children and interfere with their true self. School uniforms follow strict policies that should not be mandatory in public schools because they are a violation of student s human rights that deny these children the right to self expression and individuality. When school uniforms are mandatory they are unjustly forced upon a student denying them a sense of self expression. Most children enjoy wearing clothing that they like and clothing that represents who they are becoming as an individual. Although, when uniforms are mandatory students are not permitted to wear the style of clothing that they enjoy. This could include clothing that represents the children as a person such as graphics, symbols, lettering and phrases. When students are given a mandatory dress code, they are ripped of their human right of self expression. One important factor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Learning English Language Analysis At the beginning of the year I didn t feel as confident, I felt scared and different about writing; but I didn t feel the same way as I feel now about writing in english. The reason I didn t feel as confident at the beginning of the year is because I was an ESOL student. During the two years of me being an ESOL student my english grew from level 1 to level 6, meaning that I no longer need any help in understanding English. After many tries, I finally reached my goal in writing I wanted to be at; as a student in 8th grade. I had many weakness that I tried my best to become better at, such as, proper word usage, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. But not only I felt uncomfortable with my writing, I also felt uncomfortable in speaking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I practiced different ways of writing and strengthened my weakness; such as, grammar, and sentence structure. I learned from my mistakes and know many sentence structures that will help me write the correct way, with less comma splices and more sentences like compound complex. Now I know how to write long, and complicated assignments, I m ready to continue learning more in high school. After being an ESOL student for 2 years, I feel finally confident in writing and be in the range with other students. Being an ESOL student can be difficult too, you have to learn new things from the beginning as if you are going to first grade, starting with the ABC and learning to read, while the other students you are with know all of this. His makes you feel uncomfortable and unconfident near them. And only once you learn all the things they know, you feel confident just as much they do. After 3 years in the USA I now know that I m ready for high school, and ready to share what I know. I know things that I would never had thought I will know as good as now, like, english. The only way to learn something new, the correct way, such as a new language, is to be at that place, to hear how people talk, have conversation, and how they use words. Now that I ve understood that, I clearly know that if I stayed in Israel I wouldn t know how to write essays and many assignments that have been given to me. But I m also glad that I know the people I met in those years, many of which had helped me and gave inspiration to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Socrates Flaws Socrates, in a simple but bold statement, proclaims wisdom as being the cardinal virtue. He believed that if one does not examine oneself, their life has no true meaning. Socrates defended the idea and virtue of self examination, for he believed it is through change and growth that people attain self betterment. Not only this, but this method of critical reflection also realigns values with what is actually important in life, such as wisdom and spirituality. Socrates believed that examination and scrutiny of one s beliefs were necessary in order to improve oneself. Without review, people would never be able to see their faults. Socrates lists this reason in Apology as why he cross examines people: For I do nothing but go about persuading ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A person with unexamined values generally holds the insignificant to be what is important and what is truly significant to be inconsequential. In the Apology, Socrates addresses the men of Athens on this subject: Are you not ashamed of heaping up the greatest amount of money and honour and reputation, and caring so little about wisdom and truth and the greatest improvement of the soul (Plato)? Through this statement, Socrates argument perfectly encapsulates the state that an unexamined society exists in one that values greatness over goodness. Though over two thousand years have passed since Socrates stated this before the Athenian court, it remains an accurate portrait of society; the majority of people amass material things, strive to become famous, and seemingly work only to gain wealth, all while hardly caring about knowledge, morals, or personal integrity. These skewing of values are the result of an unexamined life. People who never inspect what they hold valuable are swept up into society s race to riches and fame, instead of focusing on enriching themselves and others with wisdom and truth. My inquisitiveness is what has fuelled my academic career, and I hope it will be the trait that I can rest most of my future education too. I am keen to learn more in the field of Computer Science to further my career once I am geared with an extensive and wholesome knowledge base. After nearly 4 years working in this field, I have realized just how vast and pervasive its scope is, something I find exhilarating and motivating in light of the fact that I didn t focus on Computer Science in my undergraduate career. I hope to learn more about the practical applications in this field to give me a sustained edge in my career. I was a very committed chess player through school and till college. Chess was my outlet from traditional classroom studying, and my foray into the competitive world. I participated in multiple tournaments when I was in high school. It has come to my rescue multiple times. As a chess player, no matter what I put my mind to, I find myself thinking three steps ahead, assessing the landscape for compromises, anticipating the opponent s moves, and strategizing to optimize my performance. • 16. Sartre s No Exit As stated earlier, man is an autonomous individual. Our freedom of choice determines what we make of ourselves. In the duration of Sartre s play, No Exit, we are observed to three major characters serving their afterlife in hell together. Inez, one of the major characters, serves her afterlife from committing suicide with her lesbian lover concluding an affair with a woman s husband. Her actions, in the play, overlook what is considered to be an important example of how we are completely in control of our actions. However, our thought process that there might be the slightest chance that our situation will work for the best, motivates us to move in that direction of choice. Rather than taking the safe route, his freedom of choice caused for him to embark on a journey in the Alaskan wilderness. His bohemian actions furthermore, provoked a dramatic end to his journey as he died of starvation. The importance of this example nonetheless, is the fact that we are aware that McCandless was in complete control of his situation, but decided to use his freedom of choice to move in a direction in which he thought he can succeed in. These findings articulate the work of Sartre and his central claim on existentialism. Another example of how man is an autonomous individual comes from the thought process of every high school senior; whether or not it is the right time to attend college. Given our freedom of choice, we have the ability to pursue any career we aspire for with the thought process that everything will work out as we hope ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Be sure to contact the state s income tax agency where you plan to file your election form. Ask about the tax requirements and if they recognize elections of other entities (such as the S Corp). Advantages of an LLC: Limited Liability. Members are protected from personal liability for business decisions or actions of the LLC. This means that if the LLC incurs debt or is sued, members personal assets are usually exempt. This is similar to the liability protections afforded to shareholders of a corporation. Keep in mind that limited liability means limited liability members are not necessarily shielded from wrongful acts, including those of their employees. Less Recordkeeping. An LLC s operational ease is one of its greatest advantages. Compared to an S Corporation, there is less registration paperwork and there are smaller start up costs. Sharing of Profits. There are fewer restrictions on profit sharing within an LLC, as members distribute profits as they see fit. Members might contribute different proportions of capital and sweat equity. Consequently, it s up to the members themselves to decide who has earned what percentage of the profits or losses. Disadvantages of an LLC: Limited Life. Tale Of The Shoe Internal Conflict The Tale of the Shoe : The Tale of a Struggle Within The passage from Emma Donoghue s, The Tale of the Shoe, advances the idea that the struggle between good and evil does not have to be presented through physical entities that it can be developed through an internal conflict, which is shown through the use of agency and sensory experience. In the well known Cinderella story the antagonists are the evil stepmother and her two daughters, an external force that attempts to cause suffering for and to control Cinderella. Donoghue s version of the story argues that this perception of evil is not the only one that exists that evil can come from an inner source. This is expressed via the manipulation of agency. Although the story is told in third person limited, the agency of other forces seeps into the narrative. The antagonists take the form of voices. HPV vaccines targeting high risk HPV types 16 and 18, and low risk types 6 and 11 have been demonstrated as protective against persistent infection, and hence carcinogenesis (2). Introduction Sexually transmitted infection with Human papillomavirus (HPV) is very common, with approximately 50% of sexually active women having at least one HPV infection in the first 5 years following the initiation of sexual activity (3). HPV infection is considered necessary, though not sufficient, in order to develop cervical cancer. Evidence shows that almost all cervical cancers contain HPV DNA, and that the attributable risk of infection for cervical cancer is higher than that of smoking and lung cancer (6). Despite HPV being most commonly associated with cervical cancer, the virus is capable of causing a number of cancers and benign lesions of the genitoanal region in both men and women (4, 5). In the case Medina v Grahams Cowboy, the court ruled in favor of damages to the plaintiff because the bar knew of the doorman s reputation and still hired him, which made the bar negligent ( Medina v. Population regulation differs through out the world based on the particular region. Populations can stabilize through a variety of factors including modern communications, growing affluence, urbanization, family planning and social reforms (Cunningham, 2013). China and the Indian state of Kerala are examples of two very different methods to controlling population expansion. In the past twenty years, total fertility dropped by more than half in China (Cunningham, 2013). The Chinese regulations in place focus more on birth control rather then new social equality. This strategy depends on strongly enforced policies set by the government, determining how many children a Chinese family can produce. Chinese law provides a compulsory limit on reproduction that is punishable by law if an individual exceeds the limits set. The strategy of strict laws with penalization is also combined with an economic incentive for reducing births. A very different strategy regarding population stabilization can be seen in Kerala, India. It involves a social justice strategy that believes social benefits as the solution to family planning. This strategy is based on the assumption that unequal resource allocation is the main problem that leads to a high population in developing countries (Cunningham, 2013).
