The way this book is written tricks me up sometimes because it goes from talking in past tense to

dramatically through out books, movies and similar works of entertainment. However some
writers or directors may have the same kind of archetypes but present them in different ways. In
the book Of Mice and Men and the film La Strada archetypes such as grotesques, the journey, as
well as social hierarchy are present through out the entirety of each work to convey a larger more
profound meaning. John Steinbeck, author of Of Men and Men, and Federico Fellini, director of La
Strada, use similar archetypal to convey their own intention for their works. The use of
grotesques in both works takes form in the characters Lennie and Gelsomina. Each of the two

Scene 1 of this play has great dramatic significance. In this essay, I will be looking at key points
throughout the scene that reveal the key features of the plot, characters, theme and imagery plus

Stanley does not fall for her intimidating and self pitying ways from the death of her husband and
the lies of her wealth, the use of polka is premeditated to knowingly be brought to the audience that
only they and Blanche hear it due to her change in mood and actions. The contrast between Stanley
and Blanche is immediate, due to their opposition of childhood backgrounds, Blanche coming
from an aristocratic background to the less well off Stanley who is a relaxed man with strong

simply, they soon realise the contrasting opposites of Blanche and Stanley and the current and

On top of the contrast between Stanley and Stella there is now an extra aspect of Blanche s true

Curve Couture by H. M. Irwing starts with Claire Williams royally messing up! Claire has
always stuck out in the cutthroat world of modeling, and being a plus sized woman surrounded
by svelte and hunky supermodels day in and day out has done a number on her self confidence.
What started as commiseration and comfort with her sister s fiancГ©, Colin, swiftly became her
first time going all the way. Claire is consumed by guilt for betraying her sister, Janice. The
problem is that Janice, a well known supermodel, is also Claire s one and only client. Upon
deciding that she can no longer represent her sister after her ultimate betrayal, Claire approaches
retired male supermodel turned agent, Erin Robertson. She begs Erin to take on Janice as a client;
however, Erin refuses and shocks Claire by asking to sign her on as a plus sized modelinstead.

Claire s disposition changes quickly enough to give the reader whiplash as she rapidly transitions
between happy, furious, contrite, and dejected in the span of two pages. Claire is constantly
becoming irrationally enraged with people and situations, only to dissolve into a crying mess at
the slightest provocation. Erin s character is portrayed as more of a sexual predator who won t
take no as an answer than as an attractive love interest. The couple s relationship just sets the stage
for a mixed up jumble of poorly written sexual situations, peppered with weak plotlines involving
other poorly developed
