Misconceptions On Solar Eclipses
An example of popular media covering topics in astronomy is USA Today s article How can you
safely view the eclipse? And 38 other questions, answered . The article, written by USA Today
weather/climate reporter Doyle Rice, covers frequently asked questions about eclipses before the
Great American Eclipse . These questions include common misconceptions about solar eclipses,
the socioeconomic impacts of the eclipse event, and safety precautions individuals should take
before watching the event. The topics covered in the article are important because they pertained
to this year s rare solar eclipse, the first total solar eclipse, Rice notes, to be visible only in the
United States since 1776. If the rarity of the event were not enough, eclipses

The On Arab Spring, Syria
I.Introduction With the escalation of protests that would mark the so called Arab Spring, Syria s
president Bashar al Assad responded not just through brute force but also by the raising of the
salaries of the public servants, the cancellation of subsidy cuts, the waiving of fees and the
allowance of illegal building (SyriaReport 28 March, 3 and 4 April 2011). In this response one can
see one element that the regime has deployed in its quest for survival that of the deployment of
patronage to which many would claim that the Syrian regime would bribe their own people so as
to remain in power. Though one can see this as a desperate attempt of a dying regime, this may
more of an oversimplification. What would be noted that this form deployed here would be
considered Patronage or Clientalism which more than just a survival mechanism, it is the normal
aspect of conferring legitimacy upon a regime that rules in a corporate manner with little appetite
for representative government. In this system of governance, the state is more or less detached
from the public at large and is mainly tied through an elitegroup that would support the activities of
the state machinery, because of this lack of legitimacy the trust between the communities are
insufficient and to win this trust the ruler would engage in an activity called Clientalism in which
he would reward a certain group in exchange for support. Such a system is prevalent in a majority
of authoritarian states, especially Syria,

Compare And Contrast The Hindu Creation Story
There are many creation stories, which try to tell us about the beginnings of life, but there is only
one true creation story. Hindu creation story takes many similarities from, the Bible. The Bible
creation story starts with nothing. The earth was void and darkness roamed the surface of the
waters. Then Godcommanded there to be light and light filled the atmosphere. The Hindu creation
story takes many features from the true creation story, the Bible. But once further examined, man
takes a different path from the real creation story and the Hindu creation story will start to develop
its own personality.

Genesis 1:27) male was created first and from his rib female came into being. (NIV. Genesis 2:22)
Propping apart heaven and earth, distinguishing male from female separating the classes of
mankind on earth ordered life emerges out of lifeless chaos (Doniger 131 132) After that, God
had mankind rule over all the creatures of the sea, land and sky. Finally, God said that it was
good and on Sunday he rested. Now there was a crafty serpent in the Garden of Eden, which the
devil disguised himself as. There was also one tree in the garden that the Lord said Adam and
Eve were not allowed to eat from. The serpent found Eve one day alone in the garden and he
convinced her to take a bite of the fruit, which was from the tree that she not allowed to eat from.
She then found Adam and when he took a bite, their eyes were opened but not in a good way.
The Lord eventually found out about this and he was enraged. Adam and Eve were both thrown
out of the garden, (NIV. Genesis 3:1 7) to live a life full of hardships, sin, and lies. Before Adam
and Eve ate the fruit, they were perfect, when they ate the fruit you can see how sin destroyed
them. They were banned as a consequence to live a harsh and corrupt

Transnational Corporation And What Impacts Do They Have On...
What is a Transnational Corporation and what impacts do they have on society? Before we can
discuss the impacts these types of corporations have on society, we must first have a basic
knowledge of exactly what a Transnational Corporation is and how they are formed. Then we can
begin to comprehend how these corporations impact things such as international trade and the
effects they have on cultures throughout the world. Let s begin by defining a Transnational
Corporations. Most of individuals draw there meaning of a term from how it is used in a sentence
and from our own background, but we all know that can change the meaning of the word. We also
know that this can be close or way of base as to the actual meaning. So, let s see what the definition
is for Transnational Corporation. According to West s Encyclopedia of American Law, A
Transnational, or multinational, corporation has its headquarters in one country and operates
wholly or partially owned subsidiaries in one or more other countries. (Lehman and Phelps, 2008)
Here is another definition of the topic Multinational corporations are corporations whose home
offices are in one country but have significant fixed investments in other countries. These
investments might be in factories or warehouses, transportation or telecommunications, mining or
agriculture. (Burton, 2002) Now you have two different version of what this type of corporation is.
However, my interpretation is, this is a company that

Evander Conroy
Evander Conroy is learning to walk slowly, taking one step at a time each day!
When little Evander was just one day old, his parents, Clare and Roger, found out the
heartbreaking news that their new born baby had been diagnosed with a neuroblastoma tumor,
which had shortened his spine. It was impossible for doctor s to operate due to the tumor s size and

We didn t know about the canceruntil he was born, Clare said to Yahoo 7. When they told me what
they d found it was shocking.... It felt like someone had stabbed me. It has such an impact.

Champion Cheer Analysis
I am perfectly content at my cheer gym, Champion Cheer. When I am there, I can focus on my
goal of winning Worlds, feel supported by my teammates, and earn my own money to relieve the
stress of my parents.
One of my main goals in life is to win Worlds. Worlds is a competition in which cheer teams from
around the globe compete to become the best in the world. In 2009, after suffering defeat in my
first Worlds, I dedicated all my free time to returning, winning, and bringing home the
championship ring. Last year, after years of hard work, our team placed fifth in the world at this
competition. Even though we grew as a team that day, the title of first in Worlds became more of a
priority in my life. Fighting for this goal at Champion Cheer brings a sense of happiness and
contentment to me.
I feel a sense of happiness when I am working and practicing with my team in the gym. My

The Idea of the Gesamtkunstwerk in the History and Theory of Film Music

From early prescriptive writings on film music practice to recent theoretical considerations of the
status of music in cinema, the name of Richard Wagner has recurred with a regularity approaching
inevitability. His sheer persistence as a figure in the literature has had a tendency to naturalize his
position in the genealogy of cinema, making it difficult to assess the true nature and extent of his

Occasionally his influence is decried; more commonly, however, film music practitioners have
received criticism for not being Wagnerian enough. In short, Wagner s relevance is taken for
granted, but the paths through which his influence was passed down to film are unclear and
disparate: Secondary and popular writings? Common knowledge about his practices? Live
experience of the music dramas? Study of his scores? Close reading of his theoretical writings? In
most cases, the rather vague nature of the Wagnerist texts suggests that less rigorous routes were
probably most prevalent. A critical step back is necessary to determine the meaning of this particular

Persuasive Essay On Paid Maternity Leave

Paid maternity leave Tara is an American female who was nine months pregnant. She was
working full time at home and care for her one year old toddler. In several days in of end in her
pregnant, she was focused not just on her expected date of confinement, but also on another
deadline which she would have to go back at work 20 days after giving birth. Actually Tara s
situation is pretty typical in the U.S. America is the only developed country which has no paid
maternity leave. Many other countries have new rule for new parents and new babies. New mons
in Finland can get 16 weeks paid maternity leave. Denmark government can provide the salary for
52 weeks maternity leave. The Latin American cuarentena and the Uzbek chilla have 40 days of
rests and social support. However, maternity leave in the United States is regulated by US labor law.
(Wikipedia). Companies have the right to provide the unpaid break for new moms when they are
during the month before and after childbirth. Recently, more and more citizens hope that
government can implement the rule of paid maternity leave. Donald Trump, who is the president
of America now, even declared that he would publish the rules of paid maternity leave during the
presidential selection. As for me, I obviously believe that paid maternity leave should be
implemented in America, so that the and it is beneficial for the health of new mothers and babies,

Whitman s Essay When I Heard The Learn D Astronomer
A poet who would agree with Albert Einstein statement of Education is not the learning of facts, but
the training of the mind to think is Walt Whitman. For in his poem When I Heard the Learn d
Astronomer he has his speaker try to learn through education then experience. Walt Whitman first
presents to our readers to a speaker who wants to learn astronomy and attends a lecture. By doing
this, Walt Whitmanwants to illustrate the disadvantages of education and how it solely relies on
numbers and diagrams. Walt Whitman wants to emphasize the value of experience in his poem
through his use of imagery, sound, and syntax.
Through his writing, Walt Whitman tries to have his readers understand his statement by giving
the reader the ability to relate. In his poem When I Heard the Learn d Astronomer he has his
speaker in an educational setting listening to an astronomer give a lecture about astronomy. This
setting is easy to imagine and effective. The speakers describe that proofs (2), and figures (2)
were all presented to him with no further evidence or explanation given making the speaker tired
and sick (6). The speaker is now disinterested and disappointed ... Show more content on

of commas for it was included in every line except of course for the last one. Walt Whitman did
not provide any type of closure until the ending Looked up in perfect silence at the stars. (9) when
the speaker was satisfied because he knew that for the speaker it was not over until he learned
from experience. After line five in the lecture room, Walt Whitman could have ended that line with

Mexican American War And The United States
One of the most important war in the history of United State was the Mexican American War , also

Chemical Kinetics Lab Report
Review 3: Text Chemical kinetics is the study of rates and mechanisms of chemical reactions. In our
study of chemical kinetics, experimental data identifying the initial concentrations of reactants and
the instantaneous initial rates of multiple trials is used to determine the rate law for the reaction,
the order of the reactants, the overall reaction order, and the average rate constant. By comparing
the instantaneous initial rates and the initial concentrations of the reactants for two trials, it is
possible to deduce the order of each reactant. In order to determine the order of A, the two trials
must be selected such that the concentration of A changes while the concentration of B is held
constant. In this case, trial 1 and trial 3 or trial 2 and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

constant is 0.103M 2s 1. Combining everything, the rate law for the reaction is Rate=(0.103M
2s 1)[A]2[B]1. We know that the reaction is 2A+2B→C+D. Based on the orders we calculated
for A and B, we know that this reaction is not an elementary reaction because both of the
coefficients of A and B are 2, which do not match the calculated orders of A and B, which are 2
and 1 respectively. Also, if this were an elementary reaction, we would expect 3 molecules to
perfectly collide with each other, which is highly unlikely. As a result, it is more likely that there
was an intermediate and that multiple steps were involved. Through experimental data, we can not
only determine the order of reactants, but also the rate law, the average rate constant, and the
overall order of the reaction. Using the orders calculated, we can also determine the integrated rate
plot that best represents the reactants and the type of

The Inner Workings Of Evolution And Natural Selection
Evidence
Investigate the inner workings of pluricellular evolution, cell shape and function, as well as how
cells survive and multiply. This is an essential question to consider and elaborate on when trying to
prove the topic of evolution. Evolution will be proven hereby by elaborating on the inner workings
of the Endosymbiotic theory, Multicellular evolution and Natural selection, along with Cell
specialization, replacement and Differentiation.
The Endosymbiotic theory is an assumption based on experience and/or limited information about
the evolution of the cell. Bacteria are one of the oldest single cellular organisms. They began to
make their own food using photosynthesis which then produced enough oxygen to reshape Earth s
atmosphere. This change brought upon diverse bacterial life which include clear evidence that
chloroplasts and mitochondria were, at one point, crude bacterial cells. Over the years, chloroplasts
and mitochondria became dependent on a host cell. After millions of years of evolution,
chloroplasts and mitochondria cannot survive outside of the cell. This is the Endosymbiotic theory.
Although this is labeled a theory, there is striking evidence that shows similarities in both bacteria,
and mitochondria and chloroplasts. They all have their own DNA (separate from the nucleus), and
they both use this DNA to produce proteins and enzymes for their functions.
Multicellular evolution has reshaped Earth s ecology and is incredibly critical in the

Does An Image Really Mean Something By Fred R. Barnard
Analytical Essay: Does an Image Really Mean Something
Fred R. Barnard once said, One picture is worth a thousand words. Fred R. Barnard had memories,
which were captured through images that explained how he felt about certain experiences in life.
An image can be very helpful for individuals to capture the life experiences to reminisce later on.
Manipulation of the images leads to many different interpretations of it. Each individual will
analyze the same image in different ways based on their past experiences. The manipulation of the
image allows each individual to come up with their own unique meaning of an image and relate it
to their own experiences in life. Images can be manipulated and photoshopped in a way where it

One of the earliest ancestors of homo sapiens that are known of is the tchadensis which is a
member of the genus Sahelanthropus. The S. tchadensis is a primitive human that lived about 7
million to 6 million years ago, it is believed that they lived in areas that would require walking on
two feet such as grasslands, as a result the S. tchadensis had the ability to partially walk on two
feet. As time went by the S. tchadensis evolved into the tugenensis, which is a member of the genus
Orrorin. The main difference between the S. tchadensis and the O. tugenensis is that the O.
tugenensis developed two femur bones which are used for walking on two feet, the O. tugenensis

close to being fully bipedal. The fourth genus in human evolution was named Australopithecus, this
genus marked a key point in human evolution and has five members that that are known of but
only three that are ancestors of humans and they include the anamensis, the afarensis, and the

Okonkwo’s Resistance to Change in Chinua Achebe s Things...
The character of Okonkwo in Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart was driven by fear, a fear of
change and losing his self worth. He needed the village of Umuofia, his home, to remain
untouched by time and progress because its system and structure were the measures by which he
assigned worth and meaning in his own life. Okonkwo required this external order because of his
childhood and a strained relationship with his father, which was also the root of his fears and
subsequent drive for success. When the structure of Umuofia changed, as happens in society,
Okonkwo was unable to adapt his methods of self evaluation and ways of functioning in the world;
the life he was determined to live could not survive a new environment and collapsed around...

If he was accepted in the community, he was safe, respected, and successful, unlike his father,
and his life had meaning. Okonkwo continually rejected the ways of his father, who was deeply
indebted to other members of Umuofia, holding no titles, to the point where Okonkwo s whole
life was dominated by fear, the fear of failure and of weakness (16). He transferred his fears into
the context of Umuofia and the traits that society valued, but what was really the driving force
in his decisions was the fear of himself, lest he should be found to resemble his father (17). The
values of Umuofia resembled the polar opposite of what Unoka was and Okonkwo twisted his
motivations around in his mind and presented them to himself and the community as derived from
Umuofia s traditions. From this delusion, Okonkwo established his ultimate goal of becoming a
revered member of the village, possessing many titles, and achieving anything necessary
displaying his prominence in the community. The disparity between Okonkwo s true motivations
and his warped motivations lead Okonkwo to behave in ways which shocked other members of
Umuofia with his apparent disregard for others, but which made sense to him as he saw weakness
and Unoka in alternatives. When Ezeudu, a respected elder in Umuofia, informed Okonkwo that
the village Oracle called for the killing of Okonkwo s adopted son Ikemefuna, he asked Okonkwo
not to take part. However, Okonkwo not only accompanied them,

Waiting For Superman Film Analysis
As part of a suburban, middle class community, I as well as hundreds of other students who are
also part of this community receive a proper education. Consequently, I have never had the
experience of living in the city and attending a school that is on the other side of the spectrum: one
that takes advantage of the word tenure and deprives students my age and younger of a decent
educationeither because of low funding, subsequent budget cuts, or a legislation that just does not
care. However, thanks to the 2010 Davis Guggenheimdocumentary, Waiting for Superman, it is
no secret that the United States has been battling such inequality for several decades. The film
follows a superhero allegory and several inner city kids, all of whom are part of a lower class
community and seem to have their fate sealed because of where they live and their financial
situation. As the movie progresses, Guggenheim presents two sides to this documentary:
personal and impersonal. He specifically uses a definitive structure and emotional appeal to
expose the political and social issues that hinder all children in all areas of the country from
receiving a proper education and breaking away from their poor living situation and a fate that is
all too common for inner city kids. Before the kids are formally and officially introduced,
however, in the first few minutes of the movie, educator Geoffrey Canada shares a symbolic
anecdote from his childhood in which he reminisces one of the saddest days

Emotional Intelligence and Athletic Performance
According to Salovey and Mayer (1990), understanding emotions involves comprehension of how
basic emotions are blended to form complex emotions, how emotions are affected by events
surrounding experiences, and whether various emotional reactions are likely in given social
settings. Regulating emotions encompasses the control of emotions in oneself and in others. An
individual s emotional intelligenceis an indication of how he or she perceives, understands, and
regulates emotions. In sum, emotional intelligenceis a form of intelligence that involves the ability to

Research has pointed out the importance for us to develop a clear perspective on the theoretical
development of EQ. Moreover, how this theory may or may not overlap with traditional forms of
intelligence and with psychological skills and strategies as they relate to athletic performance.
In the Lane et al. (2010) study, the researchers have explored the findings of how emotional
intelligence is related to emotions experienced before successful and unsuccessful performances
and how certain emotions are correlated with successful performances and poor performances.
Previous research has shown that emotional intelligence is correlated positively with pleasant
emotions and negatively with unpleasant emotions. Further, Lane et al. (2009c) found emotional
intelligence scores correlated with frequent use of psychological skills. Athletes reporting frequent
use of psychological skills (Thomas et al., 1999) also appear to report high scores on the self report
emotional intelligence scales.

Description Of A General Strategy
I used a general strategy throughout the entire simulation. Fist I calculated whether to overstock or
understock each of the phone models. Next, I found the demand estimates based on the standard
deviation and the stocking levels of each model. Also, I picked the design features based on the
opinions of the members of my team, or using a consensus forecast. I did however constrain the
number of features so it didn t decrease the uncertainty in demand. The board members all had
different objectives that I took into consideration throughout the simulation.
I used cost as the basis for my decision of production distribution. I gave precedence to on shore
production facilities. Production of both Model A and Model B was distributed in favor... Show

In order to minimize the overstocking, the forecast estimates for Model A were reduced; this caused
continual understocking throughout the year and resulted in no inventory at the end of the year.
The Market Survey was used this year to help successfully estimate the demand.
Similar to year one, a change order was necessary to avoid understocking of Model A.
Year Three
In year three, forecasting was altered to prevent stockout of Model A. As a result, both Model A
and Model B stocks were unutilized.
I did not change order in year three. Looking back, a change order would have helped decrease
production of Model B due to outside factors that foresaw the decrease in demand.
Year Four
During year four, I chose a careful forecast for Model B. The main reason for this was due to the
high standard deviation in forecast demand.
The on shore production facilities had a 100 percent utilization, which meant the demand for Model
B would not increase immediately. Therefore, outsourced facilities had to be utilized, resulting in a
big lead time. Furthermore, I needed to use the extra production facility that I had not used in the
previous years.
In this year, Model B saw a big amount of stockouts, therefore, there had to be a decrease in
production of Model A to make room for Model B; this was not effective.
Final Observations
The simulation was challenging for many reasons.

Tenth Circuit Case Analysis
Federal courts generally reference what the Kansas courts describe as a cognizable legal
prejudice as the loss of a substantial right due to the dismissal. Pontenberg v. Boston Scientific
Corp., 252 F.3d 1253, 1255 (11th Cir. 2001). The Tenth Circuit has recognized four main factors
when determining whether a legal prejudice exists: the opposing party s effort and expense in
preparing for trial; excessive delay and lack of diligence on the part of the movant; insufficient
explanation of the need for a dismissal; and the present stage of litigation. Brown v. Baeke, 413
F.3d 1121, 1124 (10th Cir. 2005). Defendants Response claims the Defendants will be
substantially prejudiced by an or der of dismissal, but do not provide any identification of what
that prejudice would be or how the prejudice would rise to the level of the loss of any substantial
right. Since the Defendants have not identified any legal prejudice, or met their burden of showing
any plain legal prejudice resulting from the requested dismissal, the Court is without grounds to

Explain The Thermodynamic Process Of Diesel Cycle
2.2. Evaluate Diesel Cycle with the aid of property diagrams and describe the thermodynamics
process of a Diesel Cycle in the form of written report.
Diesel Cycle:
Diesel Cycle is a compression ignition engine rather than the spark ignition which is invented by
Rudolph Diesel in 1897. It is used widely in diesel engines. Diesel engine is as same as Otto cycle
but in diesel cycle there is a constant pressure process rather than constant volume process in Otto
cycle. Diesel cycle can be explained and understood with the of P V and T S Diagram.
Thermodynamic Process in Diesel Cycle:
There are four thermodynamic process involved in diesel cycle, they are:
пѓ Step 1 2 Isentropic (Reversible Adiabatic) Compression
пѓ Step 2 3 Constant Pressure (Isobaric) Heat addition
пѓ Step 3 4 Isentropic Expansion (Reversible adiabatic)
пѓ Step 4 1 Constant Volume (Isochoric) Heat Rejection
пѓ Step 1 2 Isentropic (Reversible Adiabatic) Compression:
In this process, the piston moves to Top Dead Centre (TDC) position from Bottom Dead Centre
(BDC). Inside the cylinder the air is compressed isentropically. During this step entropy remains
constant since S1 = S2 whereas the pressure and temperature increases from P1 to P2 and T1 to T2
while the volume decreases to V1 to V2.
P = Pressure of air (pascal)
V = Volume of air (meter)

Programs and Services On the Tom Green County Juvenile Probation Resources website, I found

risk or already in the juvenile justice system. The programs and services are: the High Sky
Children s Ranch, The West Texas Boys Ranch, The Concho Valley Home for Girls, House of
Faith, The Youth Advocate Program, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters program. The reason I
believed these types of programs and services would work is because they all include some type
of support, counseling and/or mentoring for adolescents and juveniles. The types of programs and
service are extremely important because they offer adolescents and juveniles resources they may
not be receiving at their home life. The programs and services I found to be more politically
motivated are: The Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS) and The Texas Juvenile
Justice Department. The reasons I find them politically motivated is because they are programs that
are ran by the government, so they focused more on making money rather than offering help. They
may offer help, but only to a certain extent due to the many regulations they have abide by.

Public Service Is The Serving Of Public Services
Public service is the serving of the public by carrying out legislative, executive, or judicial orders
through governmental agencies and organizations, and by reforming government programs to
better help people. In recent decades, the reinvention, re engineering, and restructuring of
government have been discussed to provide more efficient and effective ways to serve the public.
Theorists of citizenship, community and civil society, organizational humanists, and postmodernist
public administrationists have helped to establish a climate in which it makes sense today to talk
about a New Public Service (Denhardt Denhardt, 2000). Reinventing government through the New
Public Service can have a positive impact on the operations, effectiveness, and efficiencies of public
organizations and programs. The New Public Service is made up of seven lessons that can be
applied in the reinvention of public organizations. These lessons include: Serve, rather than steer.
An increasingly important role of the public servant is to help citizens articulate and meet their
shared interests, rather than to attempt to control or steer society in new directions; The public
interest is the aim, not the by product. Public administrators must contribute to building a
collective, shared notion of the public interest. The goal is not to find quick solutions driven by
individual choices. Rather, it is the creation of shared interests and shared responsibility; Think
strategically, act

Snow White And The Huntsman Film Techniques
The film Snow White and the Huntsman depicts the journey between the two main characters
Snow White and Ravenna the evil Queen. Snow White, who is played by Kristen Stewart for
majority of the film, has been locked in her slain father s castle for years. The character is
imprisoned by her father s evil second wife played by Charlize Theron, whose now queen. The
Queen also lives in fear of losing of her young appearance and uses the blood of virgins to restore
it. She tests the success of this with the well known mirror on the wall. When the magic mirror
reveals that Snow White is the source of her immortality, the queen seeks to kill Snow White. In
Snow White and the Huntsman many patterns are used like the camera shots of the film,
lighting and color. The pattern of camera shots is seen throughout the movie using close ups
shots and wide range shots. For example, when Snow White fled from the castle and is chased
by the Queen s horsemen into the Dark Forest, there are close up shots of medieval like armor
enforcing the idea that the film is not in modern day and the action of the film will be done with
weapons like swords and axes. Close up shots of Snow White and Ravenna dictates who is in
power and who is not. The shots show Snow White wearing peasant s clothing, whereas the Queen
wears jewelry, expensive clothes and a crown. Wide range shots are shown in film with vast plains,
castles and battles giving a sense of realism to the setting. Lighting is another pattern

Light-Evoked Reaction Essay
In addition to using whole cell voltage clamp to detect light evoked response, we can also utilize
the voltage sensitive dye (VSD), bis (1,3 dibutylbarbituric acid) [DiBAC4(3)]6, to observe the
depolarization after light stimulation. VSD provides a real time neural activity monitor with high
temporal resolution (ms) and high spatial resolution (20 um)16. According to previous study, DRG
neurons that had incubated in DiBAC4(3) solution and had received UVR stimulation exhibited
increased fluorescent intensity6. Therefore, it serves as an additional method to detect light evoked

Base on the cDNA fragments that encodes helical domain of G protein which characterizes a
specific class, we will obtain a list of G proteins that might involve in the signaling transduction
of opsin X. Then we further examine the role of each class of G protein on light response for opsin

The Teachings Of The Bible
The definition of faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see . My
definition of faith is that it s your spiritual beliefs and it s a strong belief in a personal God . My
religion is Christianity . I believe that God has revealed himself and can be known in a personal
way in life . When we have JesusChrist we do not focus on the religious rituals or performing good
works , we enjoy getting a relationship with Godand growing a powerful bond so that we can get to
know him better . The Bibleis the account of God s action in the world , and his purpose with all
creation .The Bible contains the message God desired . I believe that the Bible was written as a
message to humankind to guide us in the right path to success. I believe the Bible is inspiration .
It s inerrant and infallible meaning it s without error and unable to fail. The Holy Bible is the
only accurate Bible from the word of God . It determines all the doctrinal truths . God is existent
in three persons Father , Son (Jesus ) and the Holy Spirit . They are coequal and co eternal . The
Holy Spirit is filled beyond the limit because God was the only person to live a sinless life . A
scripture I grew up on was The Lord is my Shepherd , I shall not want comes from the 23rd
Psalm and the Old Testament. The scripture means that they had the lord as they shepherd and we
will not lack the basic needs of life : like food , shelter , and clothing. Instead of going insane about

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Plasmin
Plasmin is the most well studied and promising of the vitreolytic agents. It is a nonspecific serine
protease that mediates fibrinolysis and is capable of degrading several vitreous macromolecules
directly and indirectly.185 In a landmark paper published in 1993, Verstraeten and colleagues
induced PVD in rabbit eyes by intravitreal injection of this enzyme followed by vitrectomy.165 In
1999, Hikichi and co workers166 confirmed complete PVD after injection of 1U plasmin and 0.5
ml SF6 gas in the rabbit model, without evidence of retinal toxicity. In an electron microscopic
study, the vitreoretinal interface in postmortem human eyes showed complete vitreous separation
with sparse collagen fibrils after the injection of plasmin.186

First, the plasminogen is isolated from human plasma by affinity chromatography. Then it is
concentrated and activated by the addition of streptokinase. Finally, it is sterilized by filtration.
Although the use of plasmin obtained by chromatography has been found to be safe and efficient,
the production of the plasmin enzyme is technically and logistically difficult and expensive.
Hence, other alternative method has been proposed to facilitate the production of the APE for
vitreoretinal surgery; 1 hour before surgery a sample of the patient s blood is centrifuged and
incubated with streptokinase. Using this method, Rizzo and coauthors reported the presence of
PVD in 85% of the eyes which received the APE solution intravitreally.193 Pharmacologic
vitreolysis by intravitreal injection of APE has been proposed by several researchers. In a pilot
study, Williams et al.168 assessed the use of the APE as an adjuvant to vitreous surgery in eyes
with advanced diabetic retinopathy. A beneficial surgical result was also reported in cases of
pediatric macular194 and idiopathic macular holes in adults.195 There is evidence of a favorable
effect of plasmin on the ultrastructure of the ILL and its separation from the vitreous, as reported
by Asami et al.169 However, the efficacy and toxicity of intravitreal APE is dosedependent.
Intravitreal injection of 0.4 IU of plasmin has been

A Short Summary On Remembering The Partridge Family
Remembering the Partridge Family There are those who either loved or ignored this show.
However The Partridge Family TV show did launch the career of teen idol David Cassidy. Since
he could show his musical talent every week it made things a lot easier for him than to have to
struggle to get himself seen and heard. This show also came along at just the right time because
the ever popular show The Monkees had gone off the air in 1968. It was time for more music

The Right Supply Chain
The first step in devising an effective supply chain is to consider the nature of demand for your
product. For this many aspects are important: Product life cycle, demand predictability, product
variety etc. But any product can be broadly classified into as either a Functional Product or an
Innovative Product based on their demand patterns. Root cause for ineffectiveness of any supply
chain is the mismatch between the type of product and the type of supply chain. Functional
Products are generally staples or those generally bought from the grocery stores or retail outlets.
They have stable demands are price variations do not affect the demand drastically. Such products
have long life cycles but they invite competition and usually... Show more content on

{draw:frame} {draw:frame} {draw:frame} The problem occurs when companies move from
Functional Sphere to Innovative sphere without even realising. They start blaming the forecasting
department and implement unnecessary strategies for cutting down inventories, just in time
delivery schedules etc. They turn the predictable environment into an unpredictable one. After
deciding on whether the product offered id a functional or innovative, managers need to decide if
their supply chain is a functionally efficient one or market responsive one. Most companies
introducing functional products realise that they need to have efficient supply chains and it is rare
to find a company in the lower left hand of the above matrix. There has been an increase in the
number of innovative products attributable to either: 1) Increase in number of competitors 2)
Increase in innovative products by the existing customers to improve their profit margins
Companies traditionally try to turn their functional products into innovative ones but still focus on
the physical efficiency of the supply chain rather than improving their market responsiveness.
Taking an example from the Computer manufacturing industry, the mainframes were dominant
technology almost 2 decades ago. The lead time quoted ways upto two years and the sales team had
to convince the customer about the lead time.

Social Psychological Barriers Of Violence On Youth And...
Youth in today s society are faced with numerous social psychological barriers that get in the way
of healthy development. Urban youth are faced with even more of these barriers such as
homelessness, mental health issues, negative influences, poverty, racism, stereotypes and exposure
to violence. Table 1 addresses these social psychological barriers, defines them and provides
sources from current journal articles that speak about them. Many of these barriers do not happen
in isolation alone, but are connected and intertwine. For instance students living in poverty often
have to deal with homelessness and students faced with racism often come face to face with
stereotypes in their culture. This paper will examine in depth the social psychological barrier of
violenceand analyze how it impacts students performance and achievement. Exposure to violence
(from hearing about to witnessing or even being victimized by) can be very traumatic for children
and youthand affect brain development leading to lasting effects that can continue well into
adulthood. Students living in urban neighborhoods are often exposed to more violent crime, murder,
stabbings, shootings, rape, robbery, and assaults than students living in suburban or rural
neighborhoods. Studies show that over 85% of urban youth report witnessing some form of
community violence in their lifetime and almost 70% report direct victimization (McDonald,

The joint light tactical vehicle (JLTV) is being destined to initiate a new era of the U.S. military
tactical vehicle that is designed to meet universal requirements for the future warfare and in hostile
environments. Thus, at the same time, Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) has been offering
fruitful case study for the assessment on its program management and procurement processes.
Therefore, this paper will briefly provide fundamental assessment on the JLTV program from the
requirement development through its current state including budgeting, acquisition process and
some challenges faced in the requirements. In addition, it will also highlight some observations on
best practices that might be applicable for the future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, enhanced survivability and both strategic and operational transportability by sea and
air are also crucial for the JLTV project requirements. The primary mission of the Joint Light
Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is to provide protected, sustained, and networked light tactical mobility to
the Joint forces, capable of worldwide deployment across the full spectrum of military operations
and mission profiles under all weather and terrain conditions.
In addition, it has been designed that the JLTV would support C3 in both immobile and mobile
modes, various wider ranges in complex and dynamic operational environments.
Nevertheless, initial concept composed of three variants based on different payload capabilities,
four passenger Combat Tactical Vehicle (CTV) and a two passenger Combat Support Vehicle
(CSV) variants were survived as a final choice. The Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC)
of the DoD that provides a close oversight to joint acquisition programs and makes
recommendations to the Defense Acquisition Board has approved the JLTV program which would
be led by the Army in November 2006.
It was notable that, even though, joint Army/Marine Corps had intended to issue a Request for
Proposal (RFP) for Technology Development Phase by October 2007, the Pentagon s acquisition
executive, John Young disapproved the issuance of the RFP due to deep concern on funding
adequacy, technical maturity, and shifting requirements.

Blood Evidence In Forensic Investigation
We ve all seen the cop shows, however, what they neglect to show is the full extent of the work
people like forensic analysts are responsible for behind the scenes. One of the uttermost important
things they do is find out where the blood is at a crime scene, this can be difficult if the blood
evidence has been cleaned. The primary way they find blood, even if it isn t visible is by using
luminol. One issue with using luminol is that the light doesn t last very long (K. L. Lerner B. W.
Lerner (Eds.), 2006). Scientists, Katie Sosebee and Zenobia Merchant, are conducting experiments
to test the effect of different temperature water to the longevity of luminols light. Luminol is a
chemiluminescent compound that reacts to red blood cells, though

Taxes Essay
The less taxes we pay, the more lives we save. The United States has the highest corporate tax rate
of the 34 developed, free market nations that make up the Organization for Economic Cooperation
and Development (DECD). Unlike other countries, the United States pays a marginal corporate tax
rate of 35% at the federal level and 39.2% state taxare accounting. This is causing thousands on
corporations to move operations out of the United Statesand into other countries. Therefore, the
United States should lower the taxes on big corporations. Lowering the taxes on big corporations
creates new and more jobs for people. Kellyanne Conway, Counselor of the President claims that

To sum it up, lowering taxes on big corporations has a very big impact on the wages of the
workers and the benefit they get. The price of products will drop which can lead to the growth
of the economy if the taxes of big corporations will decrease. According to President Trump in the
third debate on Presidential Debate When the company lowers the taxes from 35% to 15% they
have more money to spend on research, development, and producing things which can lead to
growth (para.2). Therefore, companies do not need to move from and buy or sell their products
from other countries that raises the cost of their products only to avoid paying high rates here in
the United States. If they will not have to pay high rate of taxes more products will be made
here and these may cause a decreasing in the price of the products. The economy will expand
again. However, we live in a country where business is all about competition.A country where
business is pure capitalism, which means business are owned and or manage by private owners for
profits. They are only after the profits, they do not think about their consumers because we need
their products to survive so we still buy them. Even though Money is only matters when it comes to
business, but by lessening their taxes they will help the consumer when

African American Theater Essays
Over the course of approximately one hundred years there has been a discernible metamorphosis
within the realm of African American cinema. African Americans have overcome the heavy weight
of oppression in forms such as of politics, citizenship and most importantly equal human rights.
One of the most evident forms that were withheld from African Americans came in the structure of
the performing arts; specifically film. The common population did not allow blacks to drink from
the same water fountain let alone share the same television waves or stage. But over time the
strength of the expectant black actors and actresses overwhelmed the majority force to stop blacks
from appearing on film. For the longest time the performing arts were... Show more content on

В‘The Tom represented the African American who was badgered and controlled by the white
population. This person was the one who endured all of the abuse from any white person who
was in the position of superiority. Bogle defines him as, the harassed hounded, flogged, enslaved,
and insulted. They keep the faith, and stay true to their masters always remaining kind and
selfless. Thus they endear themselves to white audiences and emerge as heroes of sorts (6). One of
the most prevalent plays where this type of black characters emerged was given the name, Uncle
Tom s Cabin. This theatrical production came about during the 1850 s. It gave an overview of
Harriet Beecher Stowe s (a white women who was against slavery) claim that white Americans
imagine themselves as suffering slaves. In this production whites in blackface played Tom, Eliza,
and Topsy . This construction was very controversial; Michael Rogin gives a brief summary and
comment on this in his book, Blackface, Whitenoise:
The production of Uncle Tom s Cabin was not only embracing slaves but also supporting
antislavery politics. There was considerable overlap, to be sure, between the proslavery and
sentimental abolitionist structures of feeling, for maternalist

My Memory Failures For Five Days Essay
Tracking my memory failures for five days was enlightening in a couple ways. First off, I realized
that there was a trend in my forgetting. The trend I noticed was that I forgot things most frequently
when they were not part of my daily routine or interrupted it. This is not surprising considering that
much of what we intend to do in our everyday lives involves habitual tasks repeated over time and
when it comes to these habitual tasks, our intentions may not be explicit (Dismukes,2012).
Secondly, I realized that some memoryfailures do not fit perfectly into memory failure categories,
they do indeed straddle the line (Gluck, Mercado, Myers, 2014, p. 370). My data revealed the
three most common memory errors in my journal were prospective memory errors, episodic
memoryerrors, and semantic memoryerrors. On November 10th around 4:45 pm during my drive
home I realized that I forgot to call a specific client to tell them I had to reschedule an
appointment for the next day. I think I forgot this because I had realized that I needed to make the
call right before lunch, and decided I would do it after lunch. However, when I got back into the
office, there were messages on my phone that I had to return immediately. Therefore, this forgetting
could be contributed to multitasking, since I was making various phone calls, sending emails while
on the phone, and both getting ready for lunch and settling in after lunch when I forgot. This
example is one of a prospective memory

The article, written by USA Today weather/climate reporter Doyle Rice, covers frequently asked questions about eclipses before the Great American Eclipse . These questions include common misconceptions about solar eclipses, the socioeconomic impacts of the eclipse event, and safety precautions individuals should take before watching the event. The topics covered in the article are important because they pertained to this year s rare solar eclipse, the first total solar eclipse, Rice notes, to be visible only in the United States since 1776. • 3. The On Arab Spring, Syria I.Introduction With the escalation of protests that would mark the so called Arab Spring, Syria s president Bashar al Assad responded not just through brute force but also by the raising of the salaries of the public servants, the cancellation of subsidy cuts, the waiving of fees and the allowance of illegal building (SyriaReport 28 March, 3 and 4 April 2011). In this response one can see one element that the regime has deployed in its quest for survival that of the deployment of patronage to which many would claim that the Syrian regime would bribe their own people so as to remain in power. Though one can see this as a desperate attempt of a dying regime, this may more of an oversimplification. What would be noted that this form deployed here would be considered Patronage or Clientalism which more than just a survival mechanism, it is the normal aspect of conferring legitimacy upon a regime that rules in a corporate manner with little appetite for representative government. In this system of governance, the state is more or less detached from the public at large and is mainly tied through an elitegroup that would support the activities of the state machinery, because of this lack of legitimacy the trust between the communities are insufficient and to win this trust the ruler would engage in an activity called Clientalism in which he would reward a certain group in exchange for support. Such a system is prevalent in a majority of authoritarian states, especially Syria, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Then we can begin to comprehend how these corporations impact things such as international trade and the effects they have on cultures throughout the world. Let s begin by defining a Transnational Corporations. Most of individuals draw there meaning of a term from how it is used in a sentence and from our own background, but we all know that can change the meaning of the word. We also know that this can be close or way of base as to the actual meaning. So, let s see what the definition is for Transnational Corporation. Wagner is cited as a model (or the model) for film music composers and performers to follow, and concepts such as the Gesamtkunstwerk, unendliche Melodie, and the Leitmotiv circulate widely, frequently detached from Wagner s name and from his own theoretical treatment of them. Occasionally his influence is decried; more commonly, however, film music practitioners have received criticism for not being Wagnerian enough. In short, Wagner s relevance is taken for granted, but the paths through which his influence was passed down to film are unclear and disparate: Secondary and popular writings? Common knowledge about his practices? Live experience of the music dramas? Study of his scores? Close reading of his theoretical writings? In most cases, the rather vague nature of the Wagnerist texts suggests that less rigorous routes were probably most prevalent. • 14. Chemical Kinetics Lab Report Review 3: Text Chemical kinetics is the study of rates and mechanisms of chemical reactions. In our study of chemical kinetics, experimental data identifying the initial concentrations of reactants and the instantaneous initial rates of multiple trials is used to determine the rate law for the reaction, the order of the reactants, the overall reaction order, and the average rate constant. By comparing the instantaneous initial rates and the initial concentrations of the reactants for two trials, it is possible to deduce the order of each reactant. In order to determine the order of A, the two trials must be selected such that the concentration of A changes while the concentration of B is held constant. In this case, trial 1 and trial 3 or trial 2 and... Combining everything, the rate law for the reaction is Rate=(0.103M 2s 1)[A]2[B]1. We know that the reaction is 2A+2Bв†’C+D. Based on the orders we calculated for A and B, we know that this reaction is not an elementary reaction because both of the coefficients of A and B are 2, which do not match the calculated orders of A and B, which are 2 and 1 respectively. Also, if this were an elementary reaction, we would expect 3 molecules to perfectly collide with each other, which is highly unlikely. As a result, it is more likely that there was an intermediate and that multiple steps were involved. Through experimental data, we can not only determine the order of reactants, but also the rate law, the average rate constant, and the overall order of the reaction. Using the orders calculated, we can also determine the integrated rate plot that best represents the reactants and the type of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. The Inner Workings Of Evolution And Natural Selection Evidence Investigate the inner workings of pluricellular evolution, cell shape and function, as well as how cells survive and multiply. This is an essential question to consider and elaborate on when trying to prove the topic of evolution. Evolution will be proven hereby by elaborating on the inner workings of the Endosymbiotic theory, Multicellular evolution and Natural selection, along with Cell specialization, replacement and Differentiation. The Endosymbiotic theory is an assumption based on experience and/or limited information about the evolution of the cell. Bacteria are one of the oldest single cellular organisms. They began to make their own food using photosynthesis which then produced enough oxygen to reshape Earth s atmosphere. This change brought upon diverse bacterial life which include clear evidence that chloroplasts and mitochondria were, at one point, crude bacterial cells. Over the years, chloroplasts and mitochondria became dependent on a host cell. After millions of years of evolution, chloroplasts and mitochondria cannot survive outside of the cell. This is the Endosymbiotic theory. Although this is labeled a theory, there is striking evidence that shows similarities in both bacteria, and mitochondria and chloroplasts. They all have their own DNA (separate from the nucleus), and they both use this DNA to produce proteins and enzymes for their functions. Multicellular evolution has reshaped Earth s ecology and is incredibly critical in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He needed the village of Umuofia, his home, to remain untouched by time and progress because its system and structure were the measures by which he assigned worth and meaning in his own life. Okonkwo required this external order because of his childhood and a strained relationship with his father, which was also the root of his fears and subsequent drive for success. Okonkwo continually rejected the ways of his father, who was deeply indebted to other members of Umuofia, holding no titles, to the point where Okonkwo s whole life was dominated by fear, the fear of failure and of weakness (16). He transferred his fears into the context of Umuofia and the traits that society valued, but what was really the driving force in his decisions was the fear of himself, lest he should be found to resemble his father (17). The values of Umuofia resembled the polar opposite of what Unoka was and Okonkwo twisted his motivations around in his mind and presented them to himself and the community as derived from Umuofia s traditions. From this delusion, Okonkwo established his ultimate goal of becoming a revered member of the village, possessing many titles, and achieving anything necessary displaying his prominence in the community. The disparity between Okonkwo s true motivations and his warped motivations lead Okonkwo to behave in ways which shocked other members of Umuofia with his apparent disregard for others, but which made sense to him as he saw weakness and Unoka in alternatives. • 24. Description Of A General Strategy I used a general strategy throughout the entire simulation. Fist I calculated whether to overstock or understock each of the phone models. Next, I found the demand estimates based on the standard deviation and the stocking levels of each model. Also, I picked the design features based on the opinions of the members of my team, or using a consensus forecast. I did however constrain the number of features so it didn t decrease the uncertainty in demand. The board members all had different objectives that I took into consideration throughout the simulation. I used cost as the basis for my decision of production distribution. I gave precedence to on shore production facilities. Production of both Model A and Model B was distributed in favor... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to minimize the overstocking, the forecast estimates for Model A were reduced; this caused continual understocking throughout the year and resulted in no inventory at the end of the year. The Market Survey was used this year to help successfully estimate the demand. Similar to year one, a change order was necessary to avoid understocking of Model A. Year Three In year three, forecasting was altered to prevent stockout of Model A. As a result, both Model A and Model B stocks were unutilized. I did not change order in year three. Looking back, a change order would have helped decrease production of Model B due to outside factors that foresaw the decrease in demand. Year Four During year four, I chose a careful forecast for Model B. The main reason for this was due to the high standard deviation in forecast demand. The on shore production facilities had a 100 percent utilization, which meant the demand for Model B would not increase immediately. Therefore, outsourced facilities had to be utilized, resulting in a big lead time. Furthermore, I needed to use the extra production facility that I had not used in the previous years. In this year, Model B saw a big amount of stockouts, therefore, there had to be a decrease in production of Model A to make room for Model B; this was not effective. Final Observations The simulation was challenging for many reasons. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pontenberg v. Boston Scientific Corp., 252 F.3d 1253, 1255 (11th Cir. 2001). The Tenth Circuit has recognized four main factors when determining whether a legal prejudice exists: the opposing party s effort and expense in preparing for trial; excessive delay and lack of diligence on the part of the movant; insufficient explanation of the need for a dismissal; and the present stage of litigation. • 27. Explain The Thermodynamic Process Of Diesel Cycle 2.2. Evaluate Diesel Cycle with the aid of property diagrams and describe the thermodynamics process of a Diesel Cycle in the form of written report. Diesel Cycle: Diesel Cycle is a compression ignition engine rather than the spark ignition which is invented by Rudolph Diesel in 1897. It is used widely in diesel engines. Diesel engine is as same as Otto cycle but in diesel cycle there is a constant pressure process rather than constant volume process in Otto cycle. Diesel cycle can be explained and understood with the of P V and T S Diagram. Thermodynamic Process in Diesel Cycle: There are four thermodynamic process involved in diesel cycle, they are: пѓ Step 1 2 Isentropic (Reversible Adiabatic) Compression пѓ Step 2 3 Constant Pressure (Isobaric) Heat addition пѓ Step 3 4 Isentropic Expansion (Reversible adiabatic) пѓ Step 4 1 Constant Volume (Isochoric) Heat Rejection пѓ Step 1 2 Isentropic (Reversible Adiabatic) Compression: In this process, the piston moves to Top Dead Centre (TDC) position from Bottom Dead Centre (BDC). Inside the cylinder the air is compressed isentropically. During this step entropy remains constant since S1 = S2 whereas the pressure and temperature increases from P1 to P2 and T1 to T2 while the volume decreases to V1 to V2. • 29. Public Service Is The Serving Of Public Services Public service is the serving of the public by carrying out legislative, executive, or judicial orders through governmental agencies and organizations, and by reforming government programs to better help people. In recent decades, the reinvention, re engineering, and restructuring of government have been discussed to provide more efficient and effective ways to serve the public. Theorists of citizenship, community and civil society, organizational humanists, and postmodernist public administrationists have helped to establish a climate in which it makes sense today to talk about a New Public Service (Denhardt Denhardt, 2000). Reinventing government through the New Public Service can have a positive impact on the operations, effectiveness, and efficiencies of public organizations and programs. The New Public Service is made up of seven lessons that can be applied in the reinvention of public organizations. These lessons include: Serve, rather than steer. An increasingly important role of the public servant is to help citizens articulate and meet their shared interests, rather than to attempt to control or steer society in new directions; The public interest is the aim, not the by product. Public administrators must contribute to building a collective, shared notion of the public interest. The goal is not to find quick solutions driven by individual choices. Snow White, who is played by Kristen Stewart for majority of the film, has been locked in her slain father s castle for years. The character is imprisoned by her father s evil second wife played by Charlize Theron, whose now queen. The Queen also lives in fear of losing of her young appearance and uses the blood of virgins to restore it. She tests the success of this with the well known mirror on the wall. When the magic mirror reveals that Snow White is the source of her immortality, the queen seeks to kill Snow White. In Snow White and the Huntsman many patterns are used like the camera shots of the film, lighting and color. The pattern of camera shots is seen throughout the movie using close ups shots and wide range shots. For example, when Snow White fled from the castle and is chased by the Queen s horsemen into the Dark Forest, there are close up shots of medieval like armor enforcing the idea that the film is not in modern day and the action of the film will be done with weapons like swords and axes. Close up shots of Snow White and Ravenna dictates who is in power and who is not. The shots show Snow White wearing peasant s clothing, whereas the Queen wears jewelry, expensive clothes and a crown. Wide range shots are shown in film with vast plains, castles and battles giving a sense of realism to the setting. Lighting is another pattern ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hence, other alternative method has been proposed to facilitate the production of the APE for vitreoretinal surgery; 1 hour before surgery a sample of the patient s blood is centrifuged and incubated with streptokinase. Using this method, Rizzo and coauthors reported the presence of PVD in 85% of the eyes which received the APE solution intravitreally.193 Pharmacologic vitreolysis by intravitreal injection of APE has been proposed by several researchers. For this many aspects are important: Product life cycle, demand predictability, product variety etc. But any product can be broadly classified into as either a Functional Product or an Innovative Product based on their demand patterns. Root cause for ineffectiveness of any supply chain is the mismatch between the type of product and the type of supply chain. Nevertheless, initial concept composed of three variants based on different payload capabilities, four passenger Combat Tactical Vehicle (CTV) and a two passenger Combat Support Vehicle (CSV) variants were survived as a final choice. The Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) of the DoD that provides a close oversight to joint acquisition programs and makes recommendations to the Defense Acquisition Board has approved the JLTV program which would be led by the Army in November 2006. It was notable that, even though, joint Army/Marine Corps had intended to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Technology Development Phase by October 2007, the Pentagon s acquisition executive, John Young disapproved the issuance of the RFP due to deep concern on funding adequacy, technical maturity, and shifting requirements. ... • 44. Blood Evidence In Forensic Investigation We ve all seen the cop shows, however, what they neglect to show is the full extent of the work people like forensic analysts are responsible for behind the scenes. One of the uttermost important things they do is find out where the blood is at a crime scene, this can be difficult if the blood evidence has been cleaned. The primary way they find blood, even if it isn t visible is by using luminol. One issue with using luminol is that the light doesn t last very long (K. L. Lerner B. W. Lerner (Eds.), 2006). Scientists, Katie Sosebee and Zenobia Merchant, are conducting experiments to test the effect of different temperature water to the longevity of luminols light. Luminol is a chemiluminescent compound that reacts to red blood cells, though ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Taxes Essay The less taxes we pay, the more lives we save. The United States has the highest corporate tax rate of the 34 developed, free market nations that make up the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (DECD). Unlike other countries, the United States pays a marginal corporate tax rate of 35% at the federal level and 39.2% state taxare accounting. This is causing thousands on corporations to move operations out of the United Statesand into other countries. Therefore, the United States should lower the taxes on big corporations. Lowering the taxes on big corporations creates new and more jobs for people. Kellyanne Conway, Counselor of the President claims that When our business pay less taxes, they reinvest their money to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To sum it up, lowering taxes on big corporations has a very big impact on the wages of the workers and the benefit they get. The price of products will drop which can lead to the growth of the economy if the taxes of big corporations will decrease. According to President Trump in the third debate on Presidential Debate When the company lowers the taxes from 35% to 15% they have more money to spend on research, development, and producing things which can lead to growth (para.2). Therefore, companies do not need to move from and buy or sell their products from other countries that raises the cost of their products only to avoid paying high rates here in the United States. If they will not have to pay high rate of taxes more products will be made here and these may cause a decreasing in the price of the products. The economy will expand again. However, we live in a country where business is all about competition.A country where business is pure capitalism, which means business are owned and or manage by private owners for profits. They are only after the profits, they do not think about their consumers because we need their products to survive so we still buy them. Even though Money is only matters when it comes to business, but by lessening their taxes they will help the consumer when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. African American Theater Essays Over the course of approximately one hundred years there has been a discernible metamorphosis within the realm of African American cinema. African Americans have overcome the heavy weight of oppression in forms such as of politics, citizenship and most importantly equal human rights. One of the most evident forms that were withheld from African Americans came in the structure of the performing arts; specifically film. The common population did not allow blacks to drink from the same water fountain let alone share the same television waves or stage. But over time the strength of the expectant black actors and actresses overwhelmed the majority force to stop blacks from appearing on film. For the longest time the performing arts were... This person was the one who endured all of the abuse from any white person who was in the position of superiority. Bogle defines him as, the harassed hounded, flogged, enslaved, and insulted. They keep the faith, and stay true to their masters always remaining kind and selfless. Thus they endear themselves to white audiences and emerge as heroes of sorts (6). One of the most prevalent plays where this type of black characters emerged was given the name, Uncle Tom s Cabin. This theatrical production came about during the 1850 s. It gave an overview of Harriet Beecher Stowe s (a white women who was against slavery) claim that white Americans imagine themselves as suffering slaves. In this production whites in blackface played Tom, Eliza, and Topsy . This construction was very controversial; Michael Rogin gives a brief summary and comment on this in his book, Blackface, Whitenoise: The production of Uncle Tom s Cabin was not only embracing slaves but also supporting antislavery politics. There was considerable overlap, to be sure, between the proslavery and sentimental abolitionist structures of feeling, for maternalist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. My Memory Failures For Five Days Essay Tracking my memory failures for five days was enlightening in a couple ways. First off, I realized that there was a trend in my forgetting. The trend I noticed was that I forgot things most frequently when they were not part of my daily routine or interrupted it. This is not surprising considering that much of what we intend to do in our everyday lives involves habitual tasks repeated over time and when it comes to these habitual tasks, our intentions may not be explicit (Dismukes,2012). Secondly, I realized that some memoryfailures do not fit perfectly into memory failure categories, they do indeed straddle the line (Gluck, Mercado, Myers, 2014, p. 370). My data revealed the three most common memory errors in my journal were prospective memory errors, episodic memoryerrors, and semantic memoryerrors. On November 10th around 4:45 pm during my drive home I realized that I forgot to call a specific client to tell them I had to reschedule an appointment for the next day. I think I forgot this because I had realized that I needed to make the call right before lunch, and decided I would do it after lunch. However, when I got back into the office, there were messages on my phone that I had to return immediately. Therefore, this forgetting could be contributed to multitasking, since I was making various phone calls, sending emails while on the phone, and both getting ready for lunch and settling in after lunch when I forgot. This example is one of a prospective memory ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
