You are the recipient of this letter because your information is the information that I was provided at
check out. My family and I stated at the Omni Corpus Christi this past weekend Oct 26, 2015, I
would have to say this has been the worst Omni experience we have had in all of our stays with the
corporation. When making reservations with the hotel the expectation is that the best service is
delivered all around, and for some reason this stay didn't meet that expectation.
The hotel was chosen because of its location and also for your reputation. IN the last calendar year
this has been the 3rd time staying at the one of your many locations. Each stay prior to this one was

Ffa Personal Narrative
One Jacket, One Nation
When you think of FFA, you think of cows, plows, and sows, but it is so much more. Growing up
with a background of agriculture has tremendously impacted the way I have grown up. Both of my
grandparents raised horses, which invoked my love for riding horses. My maternal grandparents
raised pigs and beef as well which allowed me to broaden my background. I used to live on a dairy
farm where we bottled our own milk. I also help out on our grain farm, and I milk at a dairy farm.
With all of my experience in agriculture I knew that FFA would be a good choice for an activity to
become involved in. Since joining the middle school quiz bowl team in 8th grade, I have been
heavily involved in agriculture. Although I was later than ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This determined which meal you were to have. The upper class ate a three course meal that was
delivered to your table. The Middle class had a meal where they served themselves in a buffet line,
and the lower class were given a bowl of rice that they had to share with 10 people. The lower class
was sitting on the floor and wasn't given any silverware. I was given a ticket to sit in the middle
class, and was instructed to not help any of the lower class people who were sitting on the floor
below us. I felt terrible seeing and realized that this happens everyday in America. If I was to take
one thing from WLC it was this dinner that I will never forget.
During the whole conference we were developing or Living to Serve Plan or LTS plan for short. It
helped me realize my strengths, passions, and purposes. My leader Jason helped me find ways that I
could help contribute to others. We also had to set SMART goals and timelines for our LTS plans.

and to maintain customer loyalty from both existing and prospective customers. Thus, discussions on
the interrelationships between service quality, corporate image, and the mechanism by which they
jointly influence customer loyalty can be of major interest to hospitality firms and researchers. Thus,
this study finding will further the knowledge in the hospitality literature.
The aim of this article is to understand the influence of hotel service quality and corporate image on
tourism customer loyalty. Data were collected from tourists at several sight–seeing locations in
Mauritius. The study sample comprised guests of various hotels in Mauritius who were randomly
approached and invited to participate in a survey on the hotel's services.
II. Review of Literature
Service Quality
Service quality is generally viewed as an overall evaluation of the service provided (Taylor & Baker,
1994). It has also been viewed as a multidimensional construct formed from the consumer).
Moreover, empirical studies indicate that consistently providing high quality service may help
hospitality firms increase their number of brand loyal customers (Backs & Parks, 2003). It is evident
that for the long term success of hospitality firms, customer loyalty is significantly more important
than mere customer satisfaction

However, many researchers have argued to the limitation of SERVQUAL scale. For example,
Carman (1990) argued that the five dimensions should be specific for each industry and it should not
be general (Carman, 1990). Moreover, Fan Chan (2008) also pointed out that SERVQUAL five
dimensions cannot fully evaluate service quality of the hotel, and should be integrated with other
dimensions (Chen, 2008). This is consistent with the finding of Rooma Roshnee Ramsaran– Fowdar
(2007) that hotel core service was not represented in SERVQUAL and therefore the five dimensions
cannot fully evaluated the service quality of hotel industry (Ramsaran–Fowdar, 2007).

Somjit Luancharoen (1995, no page number) gave the definition of consumer behavior as the action
of the individual directly relevant to receiving and using product and/or economic service. This
includes predetermination, which determines the actions. This can be separated into 3 aspects as

going to buy product, turning on radio and television, reading news, chatting with friends, inquiring
from the vendor, and others. 2) Receiving and using product and/or economic service: Every

Taking a Look at Types of Lodging
These past few years, the lodging industry has been growing very significantly. "The global
hospitality sector witnessed a strong appetite for growth in 2013, a trend that is set to continue and
pick up pace in 2014" (Strong Performance Predicted for Global Lodging Industry in 2014, 2014). A
decade before, there were no many options of the lodging accommodation. But with the massive
growth of hospitality industry, lodging accommodations are now varied. Full–serviced hotels,
hostels or dormitories and Bed & Breakfast are some of the examples.
First, the most popular lodging accommodation is hotel. Hotel can be defined as "a structure that
provides sleeping accommodation to travelers and that usually features dining facilities and daily
housekeeping service" (Akram, 2009). There are various kinds of hotel that can be distinguished by
its style, function, or location. For example, the trends that are getting popular nowadays are
boutique hotels. "Boutique hotels are typically furnished in a themed, stylish and/or aspirational
manner" (jonckie, 2011). While there are also business hotels which "are targeted at the needs of
business travelers and tend to be located in city centres and at airports. Guestrooms are equipped
with spacious desks, and Internet connection" (Akram, 2009). People choose hotels rather than other
budget accommodation because they are looking for nice facilities and services.
Another popular alternative is hostel. "A hostel is a budget–oriented,

This will lead the hotel succeeding in filling up all available capacity, which is impossible for single
segment. Moreover, serving several segments also bring profits to the hotel.
However, there will also be several considerations that will take place in serving several segments.
As different segments are on different purposes, they will have different needs, behaviors and
expectations. For example, vacationers will tend to dress casually and are having relaxed time.
However, business people will tend to dress formally and will always use their mobile phones and
laptops in vacation environment. Hostile glances from different segments can lead to a stressful
atmosphere. In regards to expenses, serving several segments will have higher administrative
expenses, as different approach and promotion may be required for each segments. Planning,
implementing and controlling multiple marketing programs will increase the company
administrative expenses.

Buzz! All three of our alarm clocks go off. Chantele and I had the hardest time waking up since we

imagine if I had to drive from my house in Montville, Connecticut to the Bradley International

it didn't end up being such a long car ride.
After the short drive to our terminal, we wait for my other classmates to arrive. After waiting what

A lot of business travellers want to stay in well known hotels like Mariott or Hilton. Only 16% want
to stay in individual hotels. So for the industry it is important to have a very good reputation. Of
course the people try to get the best price for a room and most hotels have company rates which are

companies and they want special conditons as well.
Because of the fast going world today the guests have no time to wait long for the check–in or

Omni Hotel Narcissism
Narcissism can be a major issue in the business world getting in the way of someone doing a good
job. Those that tend to be arrogant, require excessive admiration, have a magnificent sense of self–
importance, and a sense of entitlement (Robbins and Judge, 2009). The executive chef of The Pointe
Restaurant in the Omni Hotel Charlottesville had a great sense of self–worth. The presentation states
that the perfection error is perceiving we are better than we really are (Lesson 2, 2016). The Chef
was arrogant when it came to thinking everyone had to listen to him and only his ideas mattered.

In America there are numerous killers that have shocked the nation, but one killer in particular had
the world completely dumbfounded. It was the 'Craigslist Killer' who would have many people

evil acts. With graduation right around the corner and wedding plans to make with his fiancé, he
seemed to have the world at his feet. So who is the 'Craigslist Killer'?
Philip Markoff, also known as the 'Craigslist Killer', was born February 12, 1986. He grew up in

while then freed herself from the zip ties and went to her neighbor's room and asked them to call
security, that she had just been robbed at gunpoint. Boston police soon arrived at the hotel and
immediately started questioning Leffler (Source 7).
Just four days after Markoff attacked Leffler, he was on the prowl again, but this time it would in

How To Write An Essay On The Play Bat Boy
For the production of Bat Boy, there were many tasks to be performed. Like usual there were the
actors, the running crew, and the musicians. For this particular musical, the running crew had many
different parts. The carpentry crew, which I was a part of, had a variety of jobs for the show. We
were in charge of the fly system and for moving various portions of the set. For the fly system, there
were four ropes and a traveler system set up. Three of the ropes were used for the opening scene
where the Taylor children would come in on their harnesses in the cave. Before the curtain would
open we would fly them to the top, then as the curtain was opened we would fly them down to the
ground. Each rope had at least two people, if not more. The other rope was used for the flying of the

A lot of the learning had to do with synchronization. Working on a production of that size, it is a
necessity that everyone learns to work as a team. With an enormous cast and crew, and a set with
many pieces, we all had to work in a way so that we could all do our jobs without interrupting
others. The scenes in which we had to fly Bat Boy were the hardest because we had to get timing
right for everything, as well as the fluidity of the pull. The scene where he flies out had to be a
smooth movement. If it was choppy it wouldn't have looked right. Jumping off the acting block and
pulling the rope with others took plenty of practice as well. For every fly scene, no matter how much
practice we got, there would always be a point where we could end up grabbing each others hands
while we were pulling on the rope. While this could have been a problem, we learned that we
needed to just keep going with pulling the rope. Teamwork wise, the slaughterhouse wall and door
were also something that took a lot of practice. Despite the challenges we faced while working on
this production, we were able to overcome them and put on a great

The Regency Grand Hotel has always been very profitable, and its employees have always worked
according to management's instructions. Their responsibility has been to ensure that the instructions
from their managers are carried out diligently and conscientiously. Under the previous management,
innovation and creativity were discouraged. Indeed, employees were punished for their mistakes and
discouraged from trying out ideas that had not been approved by management. As a result,
employees were afraid to be innovative and to take risks.
Becker met with Regency's managers and department heads to explain that empowerment would be
introduced in the hotel. He told them that employees must be empowered with decision–making
authority so that they could use their initiative, creativity and judgment to satisfy guest needs, and
handle problems effectively and efficiently. However, he stressed that the more complex issues and
decisions were to be referred to superiors, who were to coach and assist rather than provide direct
orders. Furthermore, Becker stressed that mistakes were allowed but that making the same mistakes
more than twice would not be tolerated. He advised his managers and department heads not to
discuss with him minor issues or problems and not to consult with him about minor decisions.
Nevertheless, he told them that they were to discuss important, major issues and decisions with him.

Importance of Setting in The Blue Hotel Essay
Importance of Setting in Stephen Crane's The Blue Hotel
In 'The Blue Hotel,' Stephen Crane uses various provocative techniques to ensure that the setting
adds to the richness of the story. 'The Blue Hotel' is set in a cold Nebraska town at the Palace Hotel
in the late 1800's, but there is more to setting than just when and where a story takes place. In a
written work, it is the author's job to vividly depict events in order to keep the reader?s attention and
to create colorful mental images of places, objects, or situations. The story is superbly enhanced
through Crane?s use of setting to develop mood, to create irony, and to make nature foreshadow or
imitate human actions.

effulgence, streaming upward, coloured only by his prominent features, and left his eyes, for
instance, in mysterious shadow. He resembled a murderer.? This description of him perpetuates the
eerie feeling of the story. Upstairs, they indulge themselves in alcohol and return to the rest of the
men. A new card game develops because the Swede bullies the men into it. Eventually, the Swede
bursts out an accusation to Johnnie, ?You are cheatin?!? This charge sends Johnnie into a rage that

Beating the Competition and Sustaining in the Modern Hotel...
"The capital of the world is in 23 different places"– this was the tagline used by the General Electric
Company when it expanded its business in 1995. It is very valid for India as well. India is emerging
as one of the leading economies of the world and the rate of growth in every sector of the economy
is immense. The hotel industry is very sensitive to economic cycles and is therefore intrinsically
linked to the state of the economy. At present, there are over 462 hotels in the country and the total
number of rooms is around 58612. Hotel room supply has increased in 2010–11 by 15% while the

"There is a direct company–customer contact–based relationship."(Moores, 1986) This experience
helps hotels achieve distinction against competitors. But at the same time "the communicated value
proposition of the brand has to be clear–cut so that potential guests are able to identify the advantage
of a hotel in comparison to its competitors" (Daun and Klinger, Delivering the message, 2006).Apart
from communication through words, pictures and logos should also be redesigned in order to make
an everlasting connection with the guest.
"For hotel chains wanting to satisfy the needs of guests and beat the competition, then building a
psycho brand provides an opportunity which if realized, could do not only this but also defy the test
of time." (Mehta Gautam, December 17, 2003)
Perceptions of brands in the minds of the consumer are formed on the basis of the four main
functions of the brain–thinking, sensation, intuition and feeling. Psycho branding is supported by
three concepts–
Goodyear's Model of Brand Evolution: Brands act as extensions of the personality. Incorporation of
personal characteristics into the brand makes it more appealing to guests.
Moment of Identity: The modern guest tries to match her own identity with the identity she relates to
the brand.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs: It is the driving force for choosing any brand, the one which
identifies with self actualisation.

Four Seasons is the world's leading operator of luxury hotels and resorts. They are well known not

years because of their strengths of diversity and originality. Four Seasons does not want to be a

"Despite the success of four seasons, approach and philosophy, management knew that entering
France would be a challenge." I feel that how they entered was perfect. They entered in a very
powerful manner by deciding to manage the George V which is right in the middle of the French
capital and is the "highest possible quality asset in the best location." They basically came in and
took over and told everyone how it is going to be run. They did respect a lot of the working hour
rules, and the hours by a window rules and stuff like. I really liked the aspect that they kept the hotel
running like it always has been even though in France they do things a lot differently with customer
service. It was good that they hired depending on the attitude. "What we need is people who can
adapt, either to guests from all over the world or to operating a variety of countries." I like this
because it says that the workers need to adapt to the guests no matter where they are from because
that is how the four seasons does it. If they would of came into this situation any different, I feel that
they would have been pushed out and the hotel would of turned bad. They only bad thing I can come

Catcher In The Rye- Movie Proposal Essay examples
Movie Proposal:
The Catcher in the Rye
To the Producer:
The Catcher in the Rye, a contemporary novel by J.D. Salinger, is a thought–provoking, fascinating
look at society's values and issues in the 1950's. This book would make an excellent transition to
film because it is full of both action and implication. It focuses on a four–day period of time in the
life of a sixteen–year–old cynic with emotional problems. The book follows Holden Caulfield as he
struggles with others and himself to find his way through the "phoniness" and disillusionment
involved in his adolescent life. These struggles essentially make up the novel, occurring during a
long "flashback" of the four days as he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If possible, the author should be contacted for opinions and criticism throughout the filming of the
movie.
The beginning of the movie could or could not be modified from the beginning of the book; either
way would still appropriately capture the atmosphere of the psychoanalyst and Holden. One way to
begin is by actually showing Holden lying in a psychoanalyst's office, where he begins his narration.
The camera would then fade into Pencey Prep, with Holden standing atop Thomsen Hill. Another
approach could just be to begin directly with the scene on the hill, with Holden voicing over the
picture.
Of course, not every scene could have narration. Otherwise the movie would be unrealistic. Some of
the thoughts that run through Holden's head would have to become dialogue, for example, Holden
would mumble "Phony" under his breath while talking to certain characters.
Locations:
All of the scenes occurring at Pencey would be filmed at another prep school resembling the
descriptions given by Holden throughout the book. ("...Way the hell up on top of Thomsen Hill,
right next to this crazy cannon that was in the Revolutionary War...You could see the whole
[football] field from there..."–The Catcher in the Rye, p.2) One of the more grotesque scenes would
be the suicide of James Castle. This is a critical scene because Holden tells the reader about

checked out by touching their phones to a lobby kiosk, which completed checkout and deactivated

Careers in Lodging and Food and Beverage Industries
The hospitality industry is a very lucrative and rewarding career choice. Choosing a career in this
field is not for the faint at heart. A career in this industry requires an individual that is ambitious,
self–motivated, and has a charismatic personality. However, the hard work comes with many
personal and financial rewards. Hospitality covers all careers that can come underneath the lodging,
restaurants, event planning, theme parks, transportation, and tourism. However, this paper will go in
depth explaining the role of general management, growth of employment, and human ... Show more

They must provide owners with a reasonable return on investment, keep guest satisfied and
returning, and keep employees happy. This may seem easy, but because there are so many
interpersonal transactions and because hotels are open every day, all day, the complexities of
operating become challenge that the general manager must face and overcome. The GM not only
focuses on leading and operating the hotel departments but also on aspects of the infrastructure,
from room atmosphere to security (Walker, 2013).
If a restaurant is inside of a hotel, then the food and beverage division is overseen by the general
manager of the hotel. In this scenario the person that runs the food and beverage division is referred
to as the director of food and beverage. In this case, the director reports to the general manager of
the hotel. However, if there is a free standing restaurant, bar, or lounge; there is a general manager
who is responsible for the entire operations of that establishment. If the restaurant, bar, or lounge is
a freestanding establishment, the owner will sometimes double as the general manager and do the
job on their own without hiring someone. Sometimes owners will hire an individual to fill the job as
General Manager, especially if they have invested in a restaurant and do not have any experience in
how to run it properly.

A well renowned man once said:
"A customer is the most important visitor to our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are
dependent on him. He is not an interruption to our work; He is the purpose of it. He is not an
outsider to our business; He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him; He is doing
us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so."
There is much truth to the above statement; therefore achieving customer satisfaction is an important
basis to any business organisation, especially hotels.

Before wishing the guest an enjoyable and relaxing stay, GSA or Serviexpress is introduced to the
guest as a method of assuring their satisfaction, while residing in the hotel. `Guest Satisfaction
Assurance' is a very effective and full proof way of achieving customer satisfaction as when a guest
has a query, a complaint, or simply wishes to comment on a particular procedure, all a guest needs
to do is dial a number, from their room telephone. This number is usually a very simple and easy
number to remember, (for example 700) for the convenience of the guest. This facility is available
24 hours a day and is guaranteed to be dealt with within half an hour. Besides being able to
telephone the GSA department, a guest may also contact a person acting on behalf of the department
in the lobby area of the hotel; as a GSA is desk would be present at certain times of the day. In this
way the person or persons involved in this particular department are also able to meet a guest face–
to–face, in order to deal with their clients in a more personal manner. Face–to–face communication
is a more effective way for guests to feel more understood and most of all important. After a
complaint is resolved a guest is also complemented with a letter expressing apologies and gratitude
for bringing the problem to the hotel's attention. If a guest happened to be initially very upset, a fruit

Displacement Analysis
Introduction
The hotel industry is a revenue generated business whose profit normally streams mainly from guest
room nights, but other areas in the hotel which generate revenue are meeting spaces, food and
beverage, gift shop, spa services, etc. These different departments in a hotel go hand in hand, in that,
rooms are a vital part of any hotel, if they are being sold and profit is maximized in that department,
it is likely that the other departments would be utilized as well, as opposed to if the occupancy and a
hotel was very low. The hospitality industry is unpredictable when it comes to forecasting real–time
customer demand and profit maximization. The front desk staff often face difficult decisions when it
comes to booking in groups ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Guest rooms are not the only thing requested, they would also like to have one meeting room per
night to host their gatherings with coaches and fellow competitors. Along with these requests they
notified her that they would all being enjoying breakfast Saturday morning, they will be attending
their swim meets during the day so lunch is not needed, at least half of them will be eating dinner
for both nights at the hotel while the rest enjoy dinner elsewhere, they will all use to pool for
practice swims and at night approx. 65% of them will gather together in the bar to socialize while
having wine and cocktails. Also the on–site spa will be generating a lot of revenue from the
competitive swimming team The hotel is expecting to sell to 20% spa services on Friday and 35%
spa services on Saturday because they would be done with their swim meet by then and they would
want to relax.
This has turned into a dilemma because on the same weekend there is the Scotiabank Toronto
Waterfront Marathon early Saturday morning. The Larson Hotel is at the very start of the marathon
so it is convenient for travellers to stay here. Majority of them will be arriving Friday to settle in,
they will be occupying 222 rooms. On Saturday an additional 18 rooms will be occupied for the
same group with very early check–in requests. In total number of guest rooms on Saturday will be
240 devoted to the marathon participates. After reviewing the previous

Case study:The Portman Hotel
From the description of the case study, it seems that the reason lead the Portman Hotel to this
terrible situation was that their HR policies were inconsistent with its strategies. The Portman
Hotel's philosophy is that if they want their customers treated better, they must treat each other
better. They also think the Portman Hotel is a place where they can make their employees feel
satisfied with their jobs. Their jobs will be fun and they will fulfill their expectations. The
employees will have the best work experiences. Besides, the Portman Hotel expects to be the best
employer in San Francisco. They are willing to show their trust and pride in their employees. That's
why the hotel considered their "associates" of the highest potential, ... Show more content on

"They have to be able to clean toilets and still serve royalty."
However, the operations of first month at the Portman Hotel was as not as managers and PVs
expected. All PVs expected they could offer guests what the guests wanted, but most of the PVs are
doing cleaning which is not what they want to do before they decided to work here. Those who saw
this position as a ground–floor entry job into an exciting new concept in the hotel business were
disillusioned with the hotel's strategy.
The content of PVs' job were sustainable competitive advantages to other hotels at first; however, it
became one thing that PVs most complained.
Organization
The Portman Hotel sought to maximize service while minimizing management overhead; therefore,
they cut some middle management, such as the manager of food and beverages. Because of this
strategy, some top level managers had many more employees reporting to them directly. For
example, Spencer Scott, the director of room services, had over 60 personal valets reporting to him
directly when the hotel first opened. Exhibit 2 in the case study shows that the position of the
executive assistant manager was vacant. Some PVs and their supervisor blamed Scott for lack of
supervision because they thought he was too busy to know answer for every little question.
Teamwork seemed to have a low accomplish. There were too many titles and groups such as PV,
floater, entry court attendant, doorman, lobby porter,

The hotel is one of Bangkok's most prestigious hotels, and its 700 employees enjoyed the prestige of being associated with the hotel. The Regency Grand Hotel has always been very profitable, and its employees have always worked according to management's instructions. Their responsibility has been to ensure that the instructions from their managers are carried out diligently and conscientiously. Under the previous management, innovation and creativity were discouraged. Indeed, employees were punished for their mistakes and discouraged from trying out ideas that had not been approved by management. As a result, employees were afraid to be innovative and to take risks. Becker met with Regency's managers and department heads to explain that empowerment would be introduced in the hotel. He told them that employees must be empowered with decision–making authority so that they could use their initiative, creativity and judgment to satisfy guest needs, and handle problems effectively and efficiently. However, he stressed that the more complex issues and decisions were to be referred to superiors, who were to coach and assist rather than provide direct orders. Furthermore, Becker stressed that mistakes were allowed but that making the same mistakes more than twice would not be tolerated. He advised his managers and department heads not to discuss with him minor issues or problems and not to consult with him about minor decisions. Importance of Setting in The Blue Hotel Essay Importance of Setting in Stephen Crane's The Blue Hotel In 'The Blue Hotel,' Stephen Crane uses various provocative techniques to ensure that the setting adds to the richness of the story. 'The Blue Hotel' is set in a cold Nebraska town at the Palace Hotel in the late 1800's, but there is more to setting than just when and where a story takes place. In a written work, it is the author's job to vividly depict events in order to keep the reader?s attention and to create colorful mental images of places, objects, or situations. The story is superbly enhanced through Crane?s use of setting to develop mood, to create irony, and to make nature foreshadow or imitate human actions. Scully enters and tries to control the situation. The Swede leaves the room and goes upstairs. Scully follows with hopes of consoling the Swede but instead scares the wits out of him: ?Scully?s wrinkled visage showed grimly in the light of the small lamp he carried. Four Seasons does not want to be a globalization of markets like McDonald's, where everyone is the same. They are not a "cookie– cutter company." They basically came in and took over and told everyone how it is going to be run. They did respect a lot of the working hour rules, and the hours by a window rules and stuff like. I really liked the aspect that they kept the hotel running like it always has been even though in France they do things a lot differently with customer service. It was good that they hired depending on the attitude. "What we need is people who can adapt, either to guests from all over the world or to operating a variety of countries." I like this because it says that the workers need to adapt to the guests no matter where they are from because that is how the four seasons does it. If they would of came into this situation any different, I feel that they would have been pushed out and the hotel would of turned bad. Salinger, is a thought–provoking, fascinating look at society's values and issues in the 1950's. This book would make an excellent transition to film because it is full of both action and implication. It focuses on a four–day period of time in the life of a sixteen–year–old cynic with emotional problems. If possible, the author should be contacted for opinions and criticism throughout the filming of the movie. The beginning of the movie could or could not be modified from the beginning of the book; either way would still appropriately capture the atmosphere of the psychoanalyst and Holden. One way to begin is by actually showing Holden lying in a psychoanalyst's office, where he begins his narration. The camera would then fade into Pencey Prep, with Holden standing atop Thomsen Hill. Another approach could just be to begin directly with the scene on the hill, with Holden voicing over the picture. Of course, not every scene could have narration. Otherwise the movie would be unrealistic. Some of the thoughts that run through Holden's head would have to become dialogue, for example, Holden would mumble "Phony" under his breath while talking to certain characters. Locations: All of the scenes occurring at Pencey would be filmed at another prep school resembling the descriptions given by Holden throughout the book. ("...Way the hell up on top of Thomsen Hill, right next to this crazy cannon that was in the Revolutionary War...You could see the whole [football] field from there..."–The Catcher in the Rye, p.2) One of the more grotesque scenes would be the suicide of James Castle.
