The Debate Over Time To Reduce The Budget Deficit
We have a long story of debt, but it seems no one has been able to make it better. If the debt is
increasing over time, the government has a budget deficit. Charles C. Turner, et al, define deficit as
spending that exceed revenue (482). In history, basic deficit or debt was usually from over spending
from a war and economic issues like a recession or depression. Then the government had a budget
deficit almost every year between 1970 and 1997, but tax cut and more spending on defense by
President Reagan in 1981 added more growth to the deficit. Also, another cause is from reducing of
productivity seem in the GDP and lower tax rate (tax cut) (483). Even when the government had some
budget surplus, still, it could not cover the debt. In 2012, the debt grew over $ 16 trillion, (482 483)
and has increased more in recent year plus 2.9 percent of budget deficit in 2016 (The 2016 Long Term
Budget Outlook, 2). To manage the economic depression, sometime policymakers cut the taxes and
increase spending again by putting more money into private sectors (Turner, 483); therefore,
government goes further with the budget unbalancing. There are several reasons that lower tax rate
will not reduce the budget deficit closer to a balance.
First, lower tax rate will lower revenues. Overall tax cuts for a new coming year will bring different
amounts of revenue from the previous year if the tax rate falls below a previous percentage. For
example, Ramesh Ponnuru said that Mr. Trump s plan will

All My Sons Character Analysis
In the play All My Sons, author Arthur Miller successfully shows the challenges of emotional journeys
to the audience through the character development of businessman, Joe Keller. Miller uses Keller as a
representation of the Americans who suffered from the widespread poverty, despair, and
unemployment following the Great Depression. Joe Keller lies and cheats to achieve ultimate success
for himself and his family, yet in doing so destroys many relationships around him, particularly with
his two sons; Chris and Larry; who died during the Second World War. It is through the plays slow
build and sudden climax, that Miller is able to effectively portray his constant inner fight with himself
in coming to the realisation that his false perception of himself affects those close to him, and
ultimately drawing to a dramatic conclusion and restoration of order.
Throughout the play, the character development of Joe Keller and his materialistic values, is used by
Miller to convey to the audience, the challenges of emotional journeys. At the beginning of the play,
Keller is described by through stage directions to provide insight into Keller s character and
upbringing. A business man ... with the imprint of a machine shop worker and boss still upon him
implies that he has worked his way up from humble beginnings and has succeeded based on merits.
Living through the Great Depression, Joe struggled with a personal poverty and possesses a fear of
reverse in events, thus having economic

Most Common Mood Disorder
Mood disorders are defined by the DSM (diagnostic statistical manual) as: a psychiatric disorder in
which the principal feature is mood disturbance (mentalhealth.gov). There are several different types
of mood disorders. The most common of the disorder are; Bipolar Disorder, Seasonal Affective
Disorder, Self harm, and depression. However, depression is the one that goes undiagnosed the most.
Depression is known as the common cold of mood disorders. It is the fastest spreading and most
common mood disorder in the world. Therefore it is as common as a cold. One out of ten people in
America have been affected by depression. Eighty percent of the people that have symptoms of
depression are not receiving treatment (mentalhealth.gov). However, these are the reported and
diagnosed totals of people in the world with depression. There are a number of people that go
undiagnosed for this mood disorder. Depression is defined as a mood disorder that causes a persistent
feeling of sadness and loss of interest , according to the Mayo Clinic website. However depression is
much more than that. It comes in different forms and types and affects people in different ways.
However with early detection and the proper treatment people can successfully overcome depression.

Some of these factors are; biological differences, brain chemistry, hormones, and inherited traits. The
biological differences are a factor in that there appears to be a physical change in the brain that causes
depression. In brain chemistry, neurotransmitters and how they interact with neurocircuits involved in
maintaining mood stability may play a significant role in depression and its treatment, according to the
Mayo Clinic website. Changes in the balance of the body s hormones can also lead to depression.
Finally if depression is present in other family members, it can be passed on

Elizabeth Cady Stanton s Influence On Women
There are people who influence a single community to realize that they are more then what sociality
says for them. That they can achieve more than what is told. Elizabeth Cady Stanton did this for the
woman. She was one of the first women to influence millions of women in her time and she still
encourages women to this day. She started the idea that women should have the same rights as men.
To this day women are still having trouble with being more but she helped women see themselves as
more. Elizabeth Cady Stanton is not really known but she worked with Susan B. Anthony to evolve
the idea that America has of women.
Elizabeth Cady was born on November 12, 1815. She was born in Johnstown, New York to a large
wealthy family. Her father was a lawyer called Daniel Cady and her mother was Margaret Livingston
Cady. Her father would much rather have more sons than a daughter. With this, Elizabeth decided to
learn more masculine skills in education and in daily life. Even with pressure and restrictions she
completed her education and graduated from Troy Female Seminary known as Emma Willard s
Academy in today s times. When she went to visit her cousin Gerrit Smith, an abolitionist, in ... Show

the convention s lady representatives Elizabeth meet at the convention, to create a Woman s Rights
Convention in America when they return. When finished in London they returned to Johnstown and
Henry studied law with Elizabeth s father. They began to start a family after Henry had passed the bar

How Human Resource Management Is The Need For Labour
One of the most important aspects of human resource management is the need for labour. It is critical
for organizations to hire and motivate employees to perform at their maximum efficiency. As such,
what motivates people is a simple question that has been attempted to be answered by many
professionals alike. The complexity of the question itself is due to the fact that although people can be
segmented into different demographic groups, every person is different.
The important role of employee motivation is something that both employers and employees should
be aware of. There are many clear benefits to having an stellar workforce for organizations. For
example, for an organization to achieve organizational excellence they need to determine what drives
each employee. This can be achieved by an employer simply by taking the time to connect with their
employees and implementing work related goals. As a result, the organization benefits because the
employee will benefit. This benefits both parties because the connection between employee and
employer allows for meaningful exchanges of what is expected from each. An individual s task
performance may increase due to a management by objective plan set jointly with an employer.
Additionally, the employee will feel that they add value to an organization by achieving productivity
goals. This will further increase not only the employees career development and overall efficiency in
the workplace, but also the operational excellence

destroying me so far. It was only the second minute and he s already scored. I was FC Barcelona and
he was Real Madrid. I had the legendary forward and he had the legendary FIFA skills. I was mad and
I really feld hurt after he scored. That was mostly because before we started the game we both agreed
that the winner would get 15 dollars. He also had a disadvantage in one key area , fortunately. That
was his formation. His formation was a 4 3 3 attack which was three forwards three midfielders, a left
back, a right back, two center backs, and one goalie. I had a 4 3 3 holding which meant that I had a
defensive midfield instead of just three plain old midfielders. Overall, this meant that. Madrid had the
ball and it was Modric, one of their midfielders who was dribbling. I made Sergio Busquets (
defensive midfield) do a slide tackle. The ball ricocheted on Modric s foot and went straight to
Ousmane Dembele ( left forward ). Then came the mind blowing moves. He dribbled past the midfield
and the forward. Then, he sombrero flicked Carvajal ( opposition s right back), nutmegged Sergio
Ramos ( opposition s center back). Then he shot. The goalie jumped and punched the ball. The ball
was over Dembele. What could he do. He decided to attempt a bicycle. The perfectly timed and

Essay On Treasure Fleets
My favorite scholarly pursuit to date is in a category of its own, combining most of the examples in
the given prompt. It began roughly three years ago when I first read about the Spanish treasure fleets
of the early 1700s in one of my history books. The subject was just barely brushed upon, but it was
enough to spark my curiosity on the topic and I decided to look up more information. After reading
several books and individual articles, I focused my intended research on a single fleet: the 1715
treasure fleet. Consisting of eleven ships, the 1715 fleet had been laden with gold, fine china, and
other valuables. Spain was in desperate need of funds due to the War of Succession, so the large
treasure fleet was not an uncommon sight. In what could be considered an either brave or
spectacularly stupid move, the commander decided to remain in Havana, Cuba, ... Show more content

After even more digging, I also found a possible link to the infamous pirate Samuel Bellamy, who had
attempted to find the San Miguel not long before his turn to piracy. I believe even now that the ship
may have sunk somewhere east of Amelia Island off the coast of Florida. A current expedition,
however, is still searching the Nassau Sound. I cannot put enough emphasis on just how much this
pursuit sharpened my research skills and expanded my interest in both the environment and history.
One bit of information led to another, and I learned more from this research than I probably would
have in a normal high school classroom setting. Many of the things I learned will actually apply
directly to my major in environmental science as well, which makes all of that research even more
valuable to me. The fact that I had a lot of fun in the process just makes it even

It s important for an innovation system that knowledge can diffuse from one company to another,
especially in a heterogeneous context. It can be measured by number of workshops, conferences and
mapping size of the network.
Guidance of the search
Due to limited resources, companies have to choose what they want to develop and investigate. The
things they choose are the things of which they think it can positively change their processes. This
function can be measured by mapping the specific targets of firms, companies and governments.
Market formation
It s almost impossible for new technologies to compete directly from the beginning with incumbent
technologies. Therefore these new technologies need niche markets or (governmental) subsidies to
exist. This function can be measured by the number of niche markets and the number of subsidies.
Resource mobilization
There are financial and human inputs necessary to make the other functions working properly. It is
hard to measure this function, the best way is to interview different actors and institutions.
Creation of legitimacy/counteract resistance to change
Often when there is a new technologie an old one has to be overthrown. This can be measured by
mapping the growth and lobby actions of investment groups.
According to Porter there are 4 determinants to indicate whether there is competitive advantage in an
innovation system. The 4 determinants are:

Night And Fog Analysis
Night and Fog is a short French documentary released in 1956, directed by Alain Resnais. Night and
Fog feature two abandoned concentration camp grounds, Auschwitz, and Majdanek. The film is
renowned as an artistic piece that captivates the complexity of trauma that transformed the post war
documentary to dismantle the realist mode that offered a transparent, conclusive, and morally
reassuring account of historical trauma (Kennelly). Resnais technique to transition/changeover from
black and white to colour footage parallels the past and present to reinforce the lasting effects trauma
imposes on one s mind, body and soul, both individually and within a community. The film follows a
linear path/order, beginning with a pan shot in colour of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Traumatic memory is inflexible, and invariable, often uncovering traumatic memories is a timely
process; intensely emotional and arousing experiences cannot be adapt within the memory system,
which can result in dissociation and the construction of traumatic memories (Explorations, 164). Thus,
Night and Fog is arguably not a long enough film to witness the Holocaust, in contrast to Shoah and
nine and a half hour film, by Claude Lanzmann, who argues his film captivates to obscenity to
understanding such trauma. Also, the changeover from black and white to colour alludes to the
recovery of memories, in essence, the grim fragmented images suggest flashes of memory, such that a
survivor may endure flashbacks of their past. Arguably, Cayrol is used as a mode to captivate the
experience of a survivor, and the road to recovery rather than striving to present a perfect
representation of the Holocaust, by providing an imperfect narrative, the viewer gains clarity to the
complexity of trauma. There are inherent differences between narrative and traumatic memory; for
example, narrative memory challenges the mental constructs, which enable humans to make sense of
their experiences. Thus, depending on one s psychological state, that being immersed in familiar and
expectable in contrast/juxtaposition to frightening and novel experiences often do not fit easily into
existing cognitive schemes (Exploration, 160). The films unsettling images corresponding with Cayrol

Societies Maintaining Control in The Allegory of the Cave...
In The Allegory of the Cave and The Giver, these societies maintain control in different ways. In The
Allegory of the Cave, the prisoners are physically restrained, but on the other hand, the community
members in The Giver have a precision of language rule. The people have been... shackled by the legs
and neck...unable to turn their heads around. The puppeteers in The Allegory of the Cave have
controlled the prisoners by shackling them by their legs and neck so they cannot move. They cannot
go against the puppeteers nor can they move freely to do whatever they want so, the prisoners do what
the puppeteers tell them. Do you love me? ... Jonas. You, of all people. Precision of language, please!
... our community can t function smoothly if people don t use precise language. (127) This quote in
The Giver shows how precision of language controls the members of the community and cannot
function without it. It limits a range of experience by using more precise words, so they would not
over react. While the puppeteers maintain control of the prisoners physically, the Elders sustain it by
controlling them mentally. The societies in The Allegory of the Cave and The Giver, maintain control
in similar ways too. In The Allegory of the Cave and The Giver, the controllers both limit the range of
experience of the members in the community. Thus they stay in the same place so that there is only

Sirens In The Odyssey
Homer and Atwood showcase the multifaceted nature of the myth of the Sirens through various
perspectives, with varying tones, and utilizing imagery. Homer recounts the narrative of a man
sufficiently shrewd to hear the siren s tune and not lose his life; meanwhile Atwood portrays a siren,
alluring men to her island to trap them.
Although the tones differentiate from each other within the two passages, both utilize cleverness with
trickery. Odysseus runs with his life secure, and the Siren feels accomplished; her boring song...works
every time. Phrases such as now with a sharp word demonstrate how the tone in Homer s passage is
powerful and rich. In any case, as Homer s tone has manly characteristics, Atwood s has femininity.
Her tone feels sinister yet beseeching. These two passages pair as two parts of a whole. Odysseus
represents a prey, attempting hysterically to escape demise, while the Siren is a savage predator, ...

Homer s words are manly, effective, and powerful. He utilizes words like sharp, strength, strong
hands, and sharp sword. The description illustrates a man who is not only cruising by the Sirens, but
heading to war with them. Homer depicts the Sirens song as ravishing, thrilling, and urgent. Their
voices influence Odysseus emotions. Additionally, there almost is a feeling of sexual tension taken
from this sequence of imagery. Atwood s imagery, however, feels distant from a manly nature and
certainly less sensual. The phrases bird suit and squatting nearly provide the picture of an absurd
environment; meanwhile feathery maniacs and fatal and valuable radiate a graver tone. The imagery
along with the tone influences the reader to understand and feel sympathy for this poor Siren, for she
abhors what she is. Overall, the poem starts enchantingly threatening, then turns to be relatively
innocent, and lastly closes with a similar grave and lethal or clever

RAMSI has not only effected government agencies and politicians it has also affected young
Australians who are coming over with their parents and young Solomon Islanders who are seeing a

Effects of RAMSI on young people in Honiara
Many young people from Australia who have moved to Honiara because of RAMSI end up going to
Woodford international school. For many Solomon Islanders Woodford is unaffordable however it is
cheaper for Solomon Island citizens at $50,700.00 compared to $68,440.00 per year. This does not
deter international students from going to Woodford as the principle Anthony Baron, stated that they
had close to 50% Solomon Island students and 50% of the students from other parts of the world. This
creates a multicultural environment for all young people at the school and improves cultural
awareness in the region. Tomalin and Stempleski (2013) agree with this and suggest that this is
important because it helps students understand everyone has different cultural behaviours, words may
have different connotations to someone from another culture and creates curiosity about other cultures
as well as encouraging empathy. By learning at an overseas international school and coming back to
Australia young people develop broad cultural awareness which they can teach their peers. This
learning happens in social situations through the passing on of knowledge (Volet Ang 2012). The

Texas And The Population Of Texas

question what keeps Texas population from decreasing and only two things are to blame. That is that
the state of Texas has a higher than average birth rate and that Texas new population growth is
growing at strong pace of net migration. Texas higher than average birth rate can partially be an
outcome of the amount of the states Hispanic heritage and its ties to Mexico, where total fertility rates
were 2.5 percent in 2004, quite a bit higher than the United states 2.1 percent (chart site). However,
most growth in the Hispanic population from 2000 to 2010 was due to births, not immigration, a

What Is Gran Canaria Nightlife Essay
Gran Canaria Nightlife: Where to Party and Staying Safe
Gran Canaria nightlife is one of the paradise island s strongest draws. Though it s hardly one of the
reasons why you would go there, it s something you would want to experience. The urbanised capital
of Las Palmas has a number of bars and disco areas. The same can be said to the resort town of
Maspalomas which is also a well known party centre.
Before you strap on your disco shoes and order your martinis, there are a few things you would want
to know about beforehand. There are a few must visit spots, as well as a few observances. Here are
some of which:
Nothing Happens Before Midnight
Elsewhere around the world, the highlight of nightlife starts at 10:00 PM onwards. In Gran Canaria ...

Though it s ok to drink and go partying, it wouldn t be smart to chug a barrel of booze in one sitting.
Do it in moderation and be sure not to drink to the point of passing out.
Have a designated driver. When going out with friends, have someone close to you take the car keys to
bring you back to your hotel or apartment. You can always flag a taxi, but it s always best to have
someone you know.
Watch what you drink. This is especially if you don t know who you re talking with. Keep your eyes
on your drinks, but don t do it to the point of being paranoid.
Gran Canaria s nightlife is pretty vibrant and you would want to experience it for yourself. Just take
note that events don t start until midnight. If you re in Las Palmas, spend some time in Plaza de
Espana, or the Paper Club and the El Gallinero Cafe Arte. Moreover, there are also some good spots in
Maspalomas. Finally, it would be best to keep yourself safe by drinking in moderation, having an
assigned driver, and by being wary of what you put in your lips.

Marc Lewis Reflection
Critical Thinking Assignment #3 Since I have been reading the life of Marc Lewis I find myself
always becoming more and more excited about what is going to happen next. So far it has been filled
with ups and down and me trying to predict what will happen next on his journey. While reading
chapter 6 I was so elated that Marc had gotten accepted to college, it seems as though he actually has a
plan for himself and is determined to exceed every goal. But normally good things don t always last
for a time and for some reason I could sense that something was about to happen. For those of us who
were not given the opportunity to have a silver spoon in their mouth or even those who had the spoon
but chose not to use it acquire a different meaning in life. Growing up I lived in the projects, with drug
dealers and snotty nosed kids who only aspiration when they grew up was to get out of the projects.
Thankfully at a young age I was adopted by my grandparents and just like Marc Lewis a new door
opened and I was finally given a chance at life itself. I truly believe that when people are presented
with things that inspire them to do better or be better then they will change their attitude on
everything. They begin to create dreams of being successful, studious and eventually become so set in
their goals that even when things go bad they choose not to focus on them because of the complete
turnaround they just achieved. Although marc seemed to be doing great I could tell that he didn t want
to do the complete turnaround, I say this because he was still smoking hash, it was evident that it had
become apart of his new lifestyle whether he actually wanted it to or not. He began to put a phosaude,
almost like when you re high around your parents and try to act as normal as possible. He said that the
trick is to balance anxiety and ecstasy and in all honesty I had no clue to what he was trying to say.
The psychedelic drugs caused his thoughts to go from normal thoughts like what he wanted to eat or
buy and would quickly change to his possible enemies such as customers, children and President
Ronald Reagan. Psychedelic drugs cause people to hallucinate and become in and out of
consciousness. I know a few people who have

Nurse-Led Central Venous Catheter Insertion Essay
Nurse Led Central Venous Catheter Insertion
Central venous catheters (CVC) have various uses for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient
settings. Their purposes range from administration of total parenteral nutrition, to administration of
vesicant medication, to providing access to patients with poor peripheral vascularity, as well as
hemodynamic monitoring (Alexandrou, Spencer, Frost, Parr, Davidson, Hillman, 2009, p. 1485).
Traditionally, insertion of CVCs have been performed by surgeons and internal radiologists. However,
with the advancement of roles in nursing, there has been ongoing research supporting the pro stance

CVAD insertions can be unpredictable, uncontrollable, and thus resulting in increased stress for

Walker Todd (2013) questioned if nurse led peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) insertion is
cost effective. The authors of the article support nurse led PICC insertion due to increased patient
satisfaction with nurses over internal radiologists and decreased costs when compared to internal
radiologists. Patients favored nurses over internal radiologists due to their satisfaction with the nurses
explanation of treatment prior to PICC insertion. The study also revealed that nurse led PICC insertion
was more cost effective when compared to internal radiologists, since internal radiologists require the
use of costly operating theatres and X ray screening. Infection rate and dislodge rate were also found
higher in internal radiologists than nurses (Walker Todd, 2013, p. S14).
Walker Todd (2013) identified the cons of nurse led PICC insertion in their article, which included the
higher rate of successful insertions by internal radiologists and the benefits of PICC insertion in
operating theatres rather than at the bedside. The insertion success rate of internal radiologists was
higher at 100%. However, the nurses also demonstrated a high insertion success rate at 93.1% (Walker

My Reflection Of A Trip To The Courtroom
I went to the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse on Friday August 25, 2017. Before the visit, I expected the
courthouse to look like the courthouses I have visited in New York or Atlanta. Inside the courtroom
was different than expected and the rooms were smaller, but I think that is because it was only a
docket. I have never sit in on a docket case, but I assumed the courtroom etiquette would be the same
as all other cases. I expected there to be silence in the gallery, with some hushed whispers if
conversation was necessary. In the case that I watched, other lawyers were having full conversations
in the first row of the gallery, right behind the prosecutor. I also expected the prosecutor and defense
to address the judge and question the witness from the same general area, but the prosecutor spoke
from a podium closer to the judge while the defense spoke from a podium right next to his desk. The
docket case that I watched was about felony menacing. I was unsure what felony menacing was prior
to visiting court that day, but as the case progressed the definition became a little bit clearer. The key
players in the case were the judge, prosecutor, defense and defendant, and the key witness was the
arresting officer. The defendant was arrested because the police received a call about a driver on the
road waving his gun around threatening other drivers. One of the officers responding to the call stayed
with the victim, while the other went to look for the car described in the call. Following a hint, the
arresting officer found the car in a parking lot and pulled in behind it. Upon seeing the officer exit his
car, the defendant walked out of a business with his hands in the air, saying I didn t do it. The officer
had the defendant walk toward him with his hands still in the air; when the defendant was close
enough, the officer handcuffed him. After the defendant was handcuffed through questioning the
officer determined that the defendant had weapons in the car and had an altercation with the victim
that his partner was with. The defense made a motion to suppress some of the defendant s statements
because he believed they were made during an unlawful interrogation. The defense believed that

Ethics and A Few Good Men.
The movie is about two marines indicted for the murder of a fellow marine in their platoon. Private
First Class (PFC) William Santiago died because of lactic acidosis triggered by the assault inflicted by
Lance Corporal Harold Dawson and Private Lowden Downey. This assault was the result of a direct
order by the platoon commander Lieutenant Kendrick. The order was to train Santiago to respect the
Code of the Marines and the chain of command. Private Santiago had broken this chain and written
directly to the NIS asking for a transfer, in exchange for offering information about an illegal fence
line shooting. When Colonel Nathan Jessep, commander of the marines stationed in Guantanamo Bay,

However, they were bound to their duty; overriding their commanding officer s orders would have
placed their career at stake. This case involves an ethical dilemma for the following reasons: 1. A
murder has been committed. It is not acceptable to take a human life merely because this individual
doesn t get along with the rest of the company. 2. The investigation of the murder is hindered. It is not
acceptable to lie about the cause of death in an effort to preserve public relations or personal esteem.
3. Cadets and officers lie under oath in court. It is unacceptable to lie in court. The military has
determined that it is essential this case be investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. A
sub group in the military can t make its own rules of military morality. PFC Santiago is treated as a
means rather than being treated as an end. The murder was immoral in every sense and those causing
the murder should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. We further stipulate that it is
unacceptable for a coverup of the murder. Colonel Nathan Jessup defends the practice of lying under
an area of lying covered by Plato. Plato gave support for some lies when he said: It is the business of

with so many wonderful opportunities to make a difference. When the Whited family reached out to

events for Service for Sight each year. In the fall we have Anchor Slam which is a three on three
basketball tournament where sororities and fraternities come out to compete against one another. In
the spring we held Anchor Splash which is a synchronized swimming event with many different relay
races. This year we had the Whited family come and speak on their behalf. They explained how
Lochlan was diagnosed with CRB1 and how he will eventually loose his eyesight completely. This
story touched a lot of students, faculty, and families that attended our philanthropy. We made Lochlan
our featured anchor man and tried to raise as much money as possible for the family. This event was
very successful and we raised over 1,800 dollars to give to the family. Each year Delta Gamma has a
founder s day. Founder s day was held this year at the Rustic Lodge in Indiana PA. We celebrated our
35 years on IUP s campus as Delta Gamma s. Many old alumnae came and celebrated with us at a
formal dinner. This year we invited the Whited family to come and talk about the struggles their
family has been experiencing with their son Lochlan. The alumnae wanted to raise money for this

Quality Solutions That Arise by Refining Ideas
Quality solutions that arise by refining ideas Original Issue The current issue is the lack of enough
storage in the studio apartment. There is a need to come up with some practical storage solutions as
the apartment has two (2) small closets and these are not enough for storing the person s belongings
and possessions. This makes the apartment look too crammed, and there are clothes strewed all over
the place, and there is no room for anything else. One cannot properly sort the dirty and clean clothes
as clothes usually get mixed up due to lack of enough storage space. There is no space for one to keep
a shoe rack, and that leads to shoes getting mixed up with the clothes. Initial Solution Screwing hooks
on the walls and running strings or ribbons on the hooks would reduce the clutter of things that are
strewn across the floor and would make good use of the vertical space and one can use the ribbons to
hang displays this would add creativity to the whole room. The other idea is to screw hooks on the
walls then attach a net on the hooks that would be used to store more stuff that are not used very often.
Using old wine crates, one can have additional storage space in the apartment. They allow one to
make good use of the vertical space without affecting the dà cor of the apartment. The wine crates
would be mounted on the walls or stacked one on top of the other. Critical Examination of Best

College Education Is A Waste Of Time
College students should be grateful to their family for the opportunity to go to college
Modern social hierarchy is based on education. Only those who are educated can become successful in
the society and achieve significant results. Colleges give a great opportunity for students to receive
knowledge useful for their adult live. Common sense seems to dictate that education is a part of our
nature and being uneducated means to reject own nature, however there are people, like Mark
Hendrickson, who have a totally different point of view. Although Hendrickson not say so directly, he
apparently assumes that college education is a waste of time and there is no need to be thankful to own
family for providing an opportunity to study at college. Others, like Beth Kneller, insist that college
education is very effective for becoming employed and improve own knowledge base. I say, students
should be grateful to their family for being able to go to colleges and receive quality education, as it is
the only way to achieve success in any aspect of life, including personal life, social life and career.
Firstly, it is needed to understand why education is so important for every human being, and why is it
so important for everyone. Everyone knows, that human being is the only creature on the Earth, able
to consciously use experience of past generations. Let s imagine that all books, internet and all
information accumulated by hundreds of past generations is not available for us. If such

Project management is defined to be an application of skills, knowledge and techniques to well
planned project activities to fulfil various project requirements. Project Management Institute (PMI)

PMO is defined to be an entity that acts as a centralized management body to provide project
management support functions, manage shared resources, identify and develop project management
methodology, offer coaching and mentoring as well as managing project management standards and
policies. (Project Management Institue (PMI), 2013)
The Boston Consulting Group BCG (2013) defines four clearly linked PMO imperatives (focus on
critical initiatives, institute smart and simple processes, foster talent and capabilities, encourage a
culture of change). A strategically aligned PMO supports business by prioritising issues and provides
guidelines to project managers to execute projects more efficiently (BCG The Boston Consulting
Group; PMI, 2013)
PMO ensures that the organisation invests in projects and programs that will ultimately drive its
strategic vision and goals. (Anon., 2014). Greg Wood, a PMI Global Executive Council member,

organisations in choosing the right projects to deliver and delivering projects correctly (Anon., 2014).

Theme Of Fate In Oedipus The King
Oedipus the King: Fate or Free will Throughout Oedipus the King, the concept of fate and free will
plays an essential part in Oedipus destruction. This story describes the suffering of Oedipus as a result
of a misfortune of which he has no control over. Oedipus is a play that demonstrates how a person s
life can either be destined to take a certain path or be based on the decisions a person makes
throughout their life. There are no oracles or prophecies that can determine how an individual s life
turns out to be, but according to Sophocles the gods cursed Oedipus even before he was born. This is a
tragic event of a conflict between the powerful gods, his blindness, a man s inability to change his
destiny and his intelligence. Oedipus does not deserve all the tragedies that happened to him, and he is
a victim of fate. The gods had already proclaimed Oedipus fate even before he knew it. His fate has
been bound since the day he was born and there is no way it can be avoided. The herdsman says If you
are the man he says you are, you re bred to misery . (1361 1362) This means that he was born to be
miserable, no matter what kind of person he turns out to be. Everyone already knew the outcome
would turn out horrible as it is expected. E.R Dodds says ...is that man has no free will but is a puppet
in the hands of the gods who pull the strings that make him dance. (35) This shows how the gods are
controlling him and his future life. The gods had cursed him which means he has been controlled since
the beginning just like puppets. This metaphor serves as a perfect example of what Oedipus goes
through.
Some of his actions were unintentional, however some of them were ignorant and this is what s
stopping him from uncovering the truth. The day Oedipus meets Teiresias, he tells him that Oedipus is
the murderer of Laius. Oedipus cannot believe that Teiresias would say such things. He was not
convinced of the reality and accuses Teiresias of being a liar. Oedipus says Not twice shall say
calumnies like this and stay unpunished . (415 416) Oedipus is considered ignorant because although
he is given knowledge from the wiser character, he chooses to ignore the facts and continue looking
for the killer. Gould mentions

Comparison Between Indian Philosopher Bhart And Western...
Introduction: Here I want to show the comparison between Indian philosopher Bhartṛhari and Western
philosopher Wittgenstein they deal with language and reality. According to them that language and
reality depend on individual, a person can conceive two types of relationships internal and external.
Actually what we think about it, language and reality are internally related is to conceive language as
necessary means of cognizing any reality. The world can be different than what we perceive or
describe and hence our language and reality are contingently related. One of the greatest creations of
Bhartrihar is about the relationship between word and sentence. The word is not arrived at by putting
together the meaning of each word that constitutes it. Not does the sentence as a whole have a
meaning which can explain by the real meaning of words. On the other hand, the meaning of sentence
is invisible but may be explained by meaning of the real words that constitute it. 20th century s most
famous philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein famous for his two treatises namely, Tractatus and Logico
Philosopicus and other is Philosophical Investigations. His Tractatus is best explained as a synthesis of
the theory of truth functions and the idea of language is a picture of reality. For Wittgenstein also, the
meaningful unit is not a word but a sentence.
Bhartrihari and wettgenstain say that there is a public component in the meaning of a word; they speak
differently about the presence and the

America s Declaration of Independence.) Natural rights became the staple of Locke s political
philosophy. Locke believed that an individual was born with the right and duty to their own life,
including their property. His idea based off of natural rights has become what he is most commonly
recognized for in politics. Much like Locke s belief in natural rights, he also believed in the social
contract theory. The social contract theory is the agreement among people in a society to cooperate in
order to receive social benefits. The government could only be a legitimate government with the
consent of the people that it governs, along with their agreement to obey its laws (Thompson, Bruce
E.R. social contract theory. ) If the citizens obey the rules of its government, then the government
should protect their natural rights such as their freedom of speech, equality, and property. Locke s
social contract theory became one of the ideas that capital punishment was founded off of, however,
he was not the only enlightened thinker to have this theory. Both John Locke and Thomas Hobbes
believed in the social contract theory, but they had conflicting ideas. Hobbes believed in an absolute
monarchy, a form of government in which Locke was greatly opposed to, and that the people must
obey the law, but trying to overthrow their king would be a violation of the contract. In contrast to
Locke, who believed that the citizens have the right to rebel against its government if they

How Organic Farming Affects The Growth Of The Green Movement
Up until the 1920 s, most agriculture and farming was done organically. Farmers used products that
were naturally earth made to control the weeds, pest, and help the soil maintain its nutritional value.
There wasn t any chemicals or insecticide until the Second World War, when the researchers discover
that nerve gas was able to kill insects. The first insecticide was created in 1939 by Paul Miller. Since
then organic farming has dramatically decreased and more insecticides has become extremely popular.
In the 1960 s and 1970 s the Be Natural approach started, people were becoming more concerned with
their health and environment. This started up the growth of the green movement. The green movement
helped conserve the environment and push farmers to go back to organic farming. People have
become concerned with their health due to all the chemicals now put into farming. Organic Farming
plays a huge role in health, government, and the environment. The pros and cons of organic farming
vary in health concerns. For a product to be completely organic there must be no chemicals,
insecticides, hormones, or any product that is not earth made being used in the farming process.
Nutrient value is usually a lot higher in organic products because there is no chemical use. The
micronutrients from the rich soil, without chemical use decrease health risks. The chemicals used to

The Importance Of Spanking Children
It is a good idea to spank your children yes, I think that it is a great idea. Today in this generation
parents do not like to say no to their kids and they get whatever they want. This is a big problem with
children running their parents today and the parents are not saying no or disciplining them. I believe
that kids today should be spanked. Many kids today do not have any respect for anyone like adults,
teachers, and their grandparents. In this generation parents do not like to spank or discipline their
children. They don t like doing this because they think it could hurt their children if they do so. When
a child does something wrong they act a certain way, and get into trouble they should get spank for

  • 2. The Debate Over Time To Reduce The Budget Deficit We have a long story of debt, but it seems no one has been able to make it better. If the debt is increasing over time, the government has a budget deficit. Charles C. Turner, et al, define deficit as spending that exceed revenue (482). In history, basic deficit or debt was usually from over spending from a war and economic issues like a recession or depression. Then the government had a budget deficit almost every year between 1970 and 1997, but tax cut and more spending on defense by President Reagan in 1981 added more growth to the deficit. Also, another cause is from reducing of productivity seem in the GDP and lower tax rate (tax cut) (483). Even when the government had some budget surplus, still, it could not cover the debt. In 2012, the debt grew over $ 16 trillion, (482 483) and has increased more in recent year plus 2.9 percent of budget deficit in 2016 (The 2016 Long Term Budget Outlook, 2). To manage the economic depression, sometime policymakers cut the taxes and increase spending again by putting more money into private sectors (Turner, 483); therefore, government goes further with the budget unbalancing. There are several reasons that lower tax rate will not reduce the budget deficit closer to a balance. First, lower tax rate will lower revenues. Overall tax cuts for a new coming year will bring different amounts of revenue from the previous year if the tax rate falls below a previous percentage. For example, Ramesh Ponnuru said that Mr. Trump s plan will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Miller uses Keller as a representation of the Americans who suffered from the widespread poverty, despair, and unemployment following the Great Depression. Joe Keller lies and cheats to achieve ultimate success for himself and his family, yet in doing so destroys many relationships around him, particularly with his two sons; Chris and Larry; who died during the Second World War. It is through the plays slow build and sudden climax, that Miller is able to effectively portray his constant inner fight with himself in coming to the realisation that his false perception of himself affects those close to him, and ultimately drawing to a dramatic conclusion and restoration of order. Throughout the play, the character development of Joe Keller and his materialistic values, is used by Miller to convey to the audience, the challenges of emotional journeys. At the beginning of the play, Keller is described by through stage directions to provide insight into Keller s character and upbringing. It is critical for organizations to hire and motivate employees to perform at their maximum efficiency. The ball ricocheted on Modric s foot and went straight to Ousmane Dembele ( left forward ). Then came the mind blowing moves. He dribbled past the midfield and the forward. Then, he sombrero flicked Carvajal ( opposition s right back), nutmegged Sergio Ramos ( opposition s center back). Then he shot. The goalie jumped and punched the ball. The ball was over Dembele. • 8. Essay On Treasure Fleets My favorite scholarly pursuit to date is in a category of its own, combining most of the examples in the given prompt. It began roughly three years ago when I first read about the Spanish treasure fleets of the early 1700s in one of my history books. The subject was just barely brushed upon, but it was enough to spark my curiosity on the topic and I decided to look up more information. After reading several books and individual articles, I focused my intended research on a single fleet: the 1715 treasure fleet. Consisting of eleven ships, the 1715 fleet had been laden with gold, fine china, and other valuables. Spain was in desperate need of funds due to the War of Succession, so the large treasure fleet was not an uncommon sight. The things they choose are the things of which they think it can positively change their processes. This function can be measured by mapping the specific targets of firms, companies and governments. Market formation It s almost impossible for new technologies to compete directly from the beginning with incumbent technologies. Therefore these new technologies need niche markets or (governmental) subsidies to exist. This function can be measured by the number of niche markets and the number of subsidies. Resource mobilization There are financial and human inputs necessary to make the other functions working properly. It is hard to measure this function, the best way is to interview different actors and institutions. Creation of legitimacy/counteract resistance to change Often when there is a new technologie an old one has to be overthrown. Traumatic memory is inflexible, and invariable, often uncovering traumatic memories is a timely process; intensely emotional and arousing experiences cannot be adapt within the memory system, which can result in dissociation and the construction of traumatic memories (Explorations, 164). Thus, Night and Fog is arguably not a long enough film to witness the Holocaust, in contrast to Shoah and nine and a half hour film, by Claude Lanzmann, who argues his film captivates to obscenity to understanding such trauma. Also, the changeover from black and white to colour alludes to the recovery of memories, in essence, the grim fragmented images suggest flashes of memory, such that a survivor may endure flashbacks of their past. Arguably, Cayrol is used as a mode to captivate the experience of a survivor, and the road to recovery rather than striving to present a perfect representation of the Holocaust, by providing an imperfect narrative, the viewer gains clarity to the complexity of trauma. There are inherent differences between narrative and traumatic memory; for example, narrative memory challenges the mental constructs, which enable humans to make sense of their experiences. That is that the state of Texas has a higher than average birth rate and that Texas new population growth is growing at strong pace of net migration. Nurse-Led Central Venous Catheter Insertion Essay Nurse Led Central Venous Catheter Insertion Central venous catheters (CVC) have various uses for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Their purposes range from administration of total parenteral nutrition, to administration of vesicant medication, to providing access to patients with poor peripheral vascularity, as well as hemodynamic monitoring (Alexandrou, Spencer, Frost, Parr, Davidson, Hillman, 2009, p. 1485). Post CVAD insertions can be unpredictable, uncontrollable, and thus resulting in increased stress for nurses. Walker Todd (2013) questioned if nurse led peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) insertion is cost effective. The authors of the article support nurse led PICC insertion due to increased patient satisfaction with nurses over internal radiologists and decreased costs when compared to internal radiologists. Patients favored nurses over internal radiologists due to their satisfaction with the nurses explanation of treatment prior to PICC insertion. The study also revealed that nurse led PICC insertion was more cost effective when compared to internal radiologists, since internal radiologists require the use of costly operating theatres and X ray screening. Infection rate and dislodge rate were also found higher in internal radiologists than nurses (Walker Todd, 2013, p. S14). Walker Todd (2013) identified the cons of nurse led PICC insertion in their article, which included the higher rate of successful insertions by internal radiologists and the benefits of PICC insertion in operating theatres rather than at the bedside. The insertion success rate of internal radiologists was higher at 100%. However, the nurses also demonstrated a high insertion success rate at 93.1% (Walker Todd, 2013, p. S12). An ... • 26. My Reflection Of A Trip To The Courtroom I went to the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse on Friday August 25, 2017. Before the visit, I expected the courthouse to look like the courthouses I have visited in New York or Atlanta. Inside the courtroom was different than expected and the rooms were smaller, but I think that is because it was only a docket. I have never sit in on a docket case, but I assumed the courtroom etiquette would be the same as all other cases. I expected there to be silence in the gallery, with some hushed whispers if conversation was necessary. In the case that I watched, other lawyers were having full conversations in the first row of the gallery, right behind the prosecutor. I also expected the prosecutor and defense to address the judge and question the witness from the same general area, but the prosecutor spoke from a podium closer to the judge while the defense spoke from a podium right next to his desk. The docket case that I watched was about felony menacing. I was unsure what felony menacing was prior to visiting court that day, but as the case progressed the definition became a little bit clearer. The key players in the case were the judge, prosecutor, defense and defendant, and the key witness was the arresting officer. The defendant was arrested because the police received a call about a driver on the road waving his gun around threatening other drivers. One of the officers responding to the call stayed with the victim, while the other went to look for the car described in the call. Following a hint, the arresting officer found the car in a parking lot and pulled in behind it. Upon seeing the officer exit his car, the defendant walked out of a business with his hands in the air, saying I didn t do it. The officer had the defendant walk toward him with his hands still in the air; when the defendant was close enough, the officer handcuffed him. After the defendant was handcuffed through questioning the officer determined that the defendant had weapons in the car and had an altercation with the victim that his partner was with. The defense made a motion to suppress some of the defendant s statements because he believed they were made during an unlawful interrogation. The defense believed that because the ... A murder has been committed. It is not acceptable to take a human life merely because this individual doesn t get along with the rest of the company. 2. The investigation of the murder is hindered. It is not acceptable to lie about the cause of death in an effort to preserve public relations or personal esteem. 3. Cadets and officers lie under oath in court. It is unacceptable to lie in court. • 30. Quality Solutions That Arise by Refining Ideas Quality solutions that arise by refining ideas Original Issue The current issue is the lack of enough storage in the studio apartment. There is a need to come up with some practical storage solutions as the apartment has two (2) small closets and these are not enough for storing the person s belongings and possessions. This makes the apartment look too crammed, and there are clothes strewed all over the place, and there is no room for anything else. One cannot properly sort the dirty and clean clothes as clothes usually get mixed up due to lack of enough storage space. There is no space for one to keep a shoe rack, and that leads to shoes getting mixed up with the clothes. Initial Solution Screwing hooks on the walls and running strings or ribbons on the hooks would reduce the clutter of things that are strewn across the floor and would make good use of the vertical space and one can use the ribbons to hang displays this would add creativity to the whole room. The other idea is to screw hooks on the walls then attach a net on the hooks that would be used to store more stuff that are not used very often. Using old wine crates, one can have additional storage space in the apartment. They allow one to make good use of the vertical space without affecting the dà cor of the apartment. The wine crates would be mounted on the walls or stacked one on top of the other. Critical Examination of Best Solution Hanging old wine crates on the wall will add creativity to the room, ... Only those who are educated can become successful in the society and achieve significant results. Colleges give a great opportunity for students to receive knowledge useful for their adult live. Common sense seems to dictate that education is a part of our nature and being uneducated means to reject own nature, however there are people, like Mark Hendrickson, who have a totally different point of view. Although Hendrickson not say so directly, he apparently assumes that college education is a waste of time and there is no need to be thankful to own family for providing an opportunity to study at college. Others, like Beth Kneller, insist that college education is very effective for becoming employed and improve own knowledge base. I say, students should be grateful to their family for being able to go to colleges and receive quality education, as it is the only way to achieve success in any aspect of life, including personal life, social life and career. • 35. Theme Of Fate In Oedipus The King Oedipus the King: Fate or Free will Throughout Oedipus the King, the concept of fate and free will plays an essential part in Oedipus destruction. This story describes the suffering of Oedipus as a result of a misfortune of which he has no control over. Oedipus is a play that demonstrates how a person s life can either be destined to take a certain path or be based on the decisions a person makes throughout their life. There are no oracles or prophecies that can determine how an individual s life turns out to be, but according to Sophocles the gods cursed Oedipus even before he was born. This is a tragic event of a conflict between the powerful gods, his blindness, a man s inability to change his destiny and his intelligence. Oedipus does not deserve all the tragedies that happened to him, and he is a victim of fate. The gods had already proclaimed Oedipus fate even before he knew it. His fate has been bound since the day he was born and there is no way it can be avoided. The herdsman says If you are the man he says you are, you re bred to misery . (1361 1362) This means that he was born to be miserable, no matter what kind of person he turns out to be. Everyone already knew the outcome would turn out horrible as it is expected. E.R Dodds says ...is that man has no free will but is a puppet in the hands of the gods who pull the strings that make him dance. (35) This shows how the gods are controlling him and his future life. The gods had cursed him which means he has been controlled since the beginning just like puppets. This metaphor serves as a perfect example of what Oedipus goes through. Some of his actions were unintentional, however some of them were ignorant and this is what s stopping him from uncovering the truth. The day Oedipus meets Teiresias, he tells him that Oedipus is the murderer of Laius. Oedipus cannot believe that Teiresias would say such things. He was not convinced of the reality and accuses Teiresias of being a liar. Oedipus says Not twice shall say calumnies like this and stay unpunished . (415 416) Oedipus is considered ignorant because although he is given knowledge from the wiser character, he chooses to ignore the facts and continue looking for the killer. Gould mentions ... • 37. Comparison Between Indian Philosopher Bhart And Western... Introduction: Here I want to show the comparison between Indian philosopher Bhartṛhari and Western philosopher Wittgenstein they deal with language and reality. According to them that language and reality depend on individual, a person can conceive two types of relationships internal and external. Actually what we think about it, language and reality are internally related is to conceive language as necessary means of cognizing any reality. The world can be different than what we perceive or describe and hence our language and reality are contingently related. One of the greatest creations of Bhartrihar is about the relationship between word and sentence. The word is not arrived at by putting together the meaning of each word that constitutes it. Not does the sentence as a whole have a meaning which can explain by the real meaning of words. On the other hand, the meaning of sentence is invisible but may be explained by meaning of the real words that constitute it. 20th century s most famous philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein famous for his two treatises namely, Tractatus and Logico Philosopicus and other is Philosophical Investigations. His Tractatus is best explained as a synthesis of the theory of truth functions and the idea of language is a picture of reality. For Wittgenstein also, the meaningful unit is not a word but a sentence. The social contract theory is the agreement among people in a society to cooperate in order to receive social benefits. The government could only be a legitimate government with the consent of the people that it governs, along with their agreement to obey its laws (Thompson, Bruce E.R. social contract theory. ) If the citizens obey the rules of its government, then the government should protect their natural rights such as their freedom of speech, equality, and property. Locke s social contract theory became one of the ideas that capital punishment was founded off of, however, he was not the only enlightened thinker to have this theory. Both John Locke and Thomas Hobbes believed in the social contract theory, but they had conflicting ideas. Hobbes believed in an absolute monarchy, a form of government in which Locke was greatly opposed to, and that the people must obey the law, but trying to overthrow their king would be a violation of the contract.
