Groundwater is used primarily for irrigating farmland; and secondarily, for consumption and industrial
use. Aquifers, unconsolidated subterranean layers which hold water, are rapidly dwindling, and
groundwater depletion is quickly growing to become a major problem for farmers and the public at
large. Reserves close to ground level are rapidly drying up and due to technological roadblocks,
extracting water from deeper reserves is not yet financially feasible. The problem is especially severe
in California, which represents around 20% of all groundwater withdrawal in the United States

Everyone experiences pain differently, its etiology, source, and type of pain is unique to each patient.
Pain is defined as a complex, multidimensional phenomenon that originates from sensory stimuli,
which has obvious motivation affective properties, demands attention, disrupts thought and behavior
and results in activity aimed to stop the pain (Blanchard, 2010). Managing pain in the acute care
setting has become one of the greatest challenges nurses and healthcare providers face.
Unsatisfactorily managed pain can contribute to several adverse outcomes for hospitalized patients
including reduced mobility, stimulation of unhealthy stress response, infection, creates barriers, and
additional complications. As pain treatment becomes more aggressive, so too does our attention to
reassessment of pain after intervention to ensure both safe and effective pain management (Gordon,
2014).
In 1992, the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research provided guidelines for the management of
acute postoperative pain. The goals of the pain management guidelines are to reduce pain,
complications, and length of hospital stay, to educate patients in communicating unrelieved pain; and
to enhance patient satisfaction with pain management practices (Good, 1998). From these guidelines,
Marion Good, PhD, RN, helped develop a middle range theory for Acute Pain Management for adults

The first step for mummification is to take the body to the tent, also known as Ibu, which is a place to
purify the body. The body will be washed with a specific wine and later on rise with water from the
Nile RIver. After the body is cleaned the Embalmers, an Egyptian that mummifies the body, will start
to cut the body. The first cut is usually on the left side of the body and they will remove as much as
possible of the internal organs. It s important to remove the internal organs because it s the first part of
the body that will decompose. The organs are cleaned and placed in canopic jars but the heart is kept
inside of the body because it is the centre of intelligence and feeling and the man will need it in the

organs and brain are taken out of the body, Embalmers use natron to cover and stuff the body. Natron
is used to dry up the inside and the outside of the body. The body is left for forty days for the natron to

River. The body is covered with oils to help the skin stay elastic. The inside of the body is now
dehydrated so the Embalmers cover the inside of the with sawdust, leaves and linen which is specific

the body is ready to get wrapped. First the head will be wrapped with linen bandages and the finger
