New School Year Essay
I can only hope for the best or most likely, the worst. The beginning of a new school year is a hard one
, also very very difficult.Friends and people reuniting ,then you got the people you really hate the
most. For me,I really don t like the boys at my school, but some I can make a good friendship
with, then there s him. Andrew Grant, your average bad kid,he is one that no one ever forgets. He had at
least punched 7 high school kids in the face and sent 1 to the hospital. He is the one that I hate the
most out of our school,my mortal enemy. The only reason why he s staying here at Arrowood High
school is because of his good grades, but I don t see why he should stay.
DING DONG!As my doorbell rang.I opened the door standing there was Julie.Julie has been my 2th
best friend ever since we were babies,or so my mother and her mother are very good friends. But every
morning me and Julie had always walked to school together ever since. So you ready for a new school
year,Layla , Yeah,I just really hope I don t have any classes with him . Yeah,it would be very
surprising if you to both had the same classes with each other , Let s just hope that it doesn t
happen,Julie .
As we walked into school,Melissa had been waiting for us. Glad to see you two again , Same I say,
Yeah,it s been a long time since we saw you,Melissa Julie said.Melissa is my other best friend I
known since 5th grade.Melissa is the cheer captain and she is your most sporty person you ll ever
meet. Well we better get going the bell is about to ring and I really don t want to get Mr. Chadwick
angry I say. See you later then Melissa said. After that we separated and went to our own classes.
Once I reached Mr.Chadwick s classroom when I opened the door, right in my face was Andrew. Move

From my view you look like a small potato .I take a deep breath (Stay calm Layla, don t let this guy do

George Orwell Essay
George Orwell
Eric Arthur Blair was born in 1903 at Motihari in British occupied India. While growing up, he
attended private schools in Sussex, Wellington and Eaton. He worked at the Imperial Indian Police
until 1927 when he went to London to study the poverty stricken.
He then moved to Paris where he wrote two lost novels. After he moved back to England he wrote
Down and Out in Paris and London, Burmese Days, A Clergyman s Daughter and Keep the Apidistra
Flying. He published all four under the pseudonym George Orwell. He then married Eileen O
Shaughnessy and wrote The Road to Wigan Pier. Orwell then joined the Army and fought in the
Spanish Civil War. He became a socialist revolutionary and wrote Homage to Catalina, Coming Up

The book was a record of his experiences, and when released, he was quoted to say, If it is going to be
released, I want it pseudnomly.
Discussing the publication of his first book with his agent, he decided on three possible pseudonyms:
Kenneth Miles, George Orwell and H. Lewis Allways. He favored George Orwell. The Orwell is a
river in Suffolk, south of his parents home. George Orwell published his first book in 1933. Down and
Out... was followed by the novel, Burmese Days, published first in the United States rather than in
England because of his English publisher s fear of it giving offence in Burma. After Burmese Days
came two more novels: A Clergyman s Daughter, published in 1935; and Keep the Apidistra Flying,
published in 1936. In the Spring of 1936 he moved to Hertfordshire and married Eileen O
Shaughnessy, an Oxford graduate in English, a teacher, a journalist, and later a London graduate in
psychology. Orwell s reputation at this time was based mainly on his accounts of poverty and
depression. His next book, The Road to Wigan Pier was written for the Left Book Club and started his
career as a political writer. Much of this book was composed of an essay on class and socialism, which
was Orwell s first statement of his political position.
In July, he left for Spain to fight, and later to write, in the Spanish civil war. For the next two or three
years, Orwell became a revolutionary socialist. When he returned from

Essay on Real Women Have Curves
Adam Milkovich Professor David Finley English 101 20 April 2012 Women in Unfair Work
Conditions: The Fight Over Independence or Family! The play Real Women Have Curves was written
by Josefina Lopez, it depicted the hard ships of immigrant female workers and the power and strength
of women working together as one. About a decade later a movie was made. However the movie Real
Women Have Curves still shows the same struggles these women in the play face and also shows how
strong women working together can be. The key differences from the movie and the play are that they
depict two different stories and almost give off completely different messages, especially when the
movie has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the play the men are made out as bad guys and Ana is waiting to hear from NYU through financial
aid. More so in the movie it is Ana s mom who does not want her to go away to college and make a
better life for her only because she want s Ana to grow up how she grew up. Ana strives to be an
independent woman who wants to find love. But her mom just wants her to find a husband to take care
of her. Ana even goes as far as telling her mother Why is a women s virginity the only thing that
matters? I have thoughts, feelings, and opinions. (Real) her mother looks at her weird. On the other
hand there is Ana s teacher Mr. Guzman, who sees the benefits from sending Ana to college and leaver
her dirty old neighborhood. Mr. Guzman helps Ana out by pulling some strings at Colombia
University. He also tells her to apply for scholarships, but when she doesn t he shows up at her house.
When she did get into Colombia University the first person to tell her was Mr. Guzman. Ana s mother
does not support Ana leaving for college and leaving the family. Even on the day does leave, her mom
doesn t even say goodbye to her own daughter. Another difference in the movie from the play is the
obvious different points of view. The play is told from Estela s point of view and the movie is shown
through Ana s point of view. The play shows more of Estela s struggles in the factory, not being able
to pay for the machines, paying rent and most being an undocumented worker in the

Trial By Ordeal
Intro:
Trial by ordeal and judicial punishment are practices that were relied on as pre modern judicial
institutions.
It will be argued in this paper that by examining the historical circumstances surrounding their
emergence and their use, it is possible to come to an understanding of the role they played in these
societies as well as well as their appeal.
Trial By Ordeal
Trial by ordeal was a judicial institution relied on in medieval era in England and the European
Continent. Ordeals were used to determine someone s guilt or innocence by putting the accused
through a physically painful act and relying on a sign from God to pronounce their guilt (Langbein,
2008, p.44). For example, one method used in England was ordeal by hot iron. ... Show more content

The view started to emerge in the Middle Ages that the state should take a more active approach in
dealing with violence. The emergence of the idea that the state should regulate society and keep order
materialized in the concept of the king or queens peace. The concept of the king s peace made
previously private ways of dealing with violence a public matter, thus developing a body of public law
of crime that had not existed before (Langbein, 2008, p.31). Through the presentment system, the
monarch capitalized on local knowledge to fulfill

Wireless Access And The Transmission Bandwidth
Abstract The demand for wireless access is permanently growing and the transmission bandwidth is
limited. Higher data rates and signal quality is always desired among the users; therefore a more
efficient use of the frequency resource is needed to fill the user capacity needs. Space Division
Multiple Access (SDMA) is used to increase the capacity given by regular multiple access techniques
(FDMA, TDMA and CDMA) using the user position information to provide access to the best
communication channel based on their spatial location. This paper presents Smart Antenna techniques
applied to SDMA systems as an efficient frequency usage technique.

The spectrum is limited, but multiple access techniques allow a large number of mobile users to share
the same allocated spectrum efficiently and use the same bandwidth at the same time without
degrading the existing quality of service.
Sending and receiving simultaneously information to and from the base station is desirable among
wireless communication systems. Equipping these base stations with smart antenna arrays enable
beam steering in contrast to sectorized single antenna systems. This make possible to Base Stations to
send data to specific users on the down link or to receive directed data on the up link by reusing
channels within a cell for Mobile Stations (MS), spatially separated by smart antenna arrays.
Cellular system divides the area into cells where mobile units are located and aims to increase the
capacity of the channel with an efficient level of quality of service. Channel access can be achieved
through: Frequency division multiple access (FDMA), Time division multiple access (TDMA), Code
division multiple access (CDMA), and Space Division Multiple access (SDMA). In this paper we will
focus on SDMA systems.
SMART ANTENNAAND SPACE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS HISTORY
Smart antennas were developed by the military but as the cellular phone users grew in the 1980s, the
commercial area became more interested in the field. SDMA idea was first introduced in 1947 by

West Nile Abuse In Delaware
Delaware is a good place to live. Delaware has a lot of woodland. When you tell people about
woodland they think peaceful and relaxing. Or going on adventure or seeing animals or having fun
with the family. The thing they don t think about is mosquito. We all know they cause terrible itchy
bites. The thing they don t know is that they can give you a disease. For example Chikungunya virus
and West Nile Virus. West nile virus is really known in the US.
In delaware they control mosquito. They are called DNREC Mosquito Control. The DNREC don t let
the number of mosquito increase, or even decrease. If they eliminated all the mosquito the food chain
would go crazy. DNREC goes everywhere to control mosquito. They go to wetland and woodland.

Control The Wildfires Of Alberta Canada
Humans maintain the park and influence mandatory controlled fires as well as control the wildfires.
Wildfires are required to burn in order to keep the ecosystem in check. In Banff National Park, these
fires burn in old growth areas. Once the fire is burned out it leaves nutrients in the soil to aid in
regrowth for future plants. After the fire Grizzly Bears rummage through the now loose and nutrient
rich soil for certain roots that are apart of their diets. These roots are only accessible to the Grizzly
Bear after a fire has cleared out the forest. Once regeneration starts, the nutrients in the soil allow
other food sources to begin growth and bears start to forage for them. The cycle continues once the
forest has regrown. Banff National Park in Alberta Canada has a very interesting climate. The study
site only a few miles away from the city of Banff resides on the front ranges of the Rocky Mountains.
The Continental Divide is only 45 km (28 miles) west of the study location. The climate around the
park as a whole is interesting. It is commonly known to be completely different weather at varying
temperatures all over the park. Throughout the day, the weather frequently changes dramatically.
Areas studied included dry meadows, shrub fields and shrub lands, open or immature forest and
mature forests. All of which have a nutrient rich post wildfire soil. The forests are primarily spruce,
lodgepole pine, subalpine fir and alpine larch. The town of Banff is the climate

Comparing Zeffirelli s Adaptation Of Romeo And Juliet
For never was a story of more woe/ Than this of Juliet and her Romeo. The last line of Romeo and
Juliet was one that summed up the whole play. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story between two
star crossed lovers. Juliet, a 13 years old girl, belongs to the Capulet Family. Romeo, aged at around
16, belongs to the Montague family. The two lovers cross paths and the next day they are already
married. The play itself was written by William Shakespeare in 1595. Whether it a book or a movie, in
all the spin offs, there are sometimes many difference or just a few. One of the closest interpretations
of the play is the movie Romeo and Juliet directed by Franco Zeffirelli in 1968; the extremely popular
movie is a close interpretation of the play. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

as he isn t a Montague. This scene sets up the meeting of Romeo and Juliet and, sadly, not in the
movie version. Later in the play, the men show up to the party at the Capulet s house. In the play this
party, a masquerade ball, describes everybody in disguise; so nobody can really say who is who. In the
movie, however, not many people seem in disguise at all. In fact, in the movie, only Romeo and his

A Campaign Advisor For An Emerging Political Party Essay
I am a campaign advisor for an emerging political party called the Egalitarian Party of the United
States. This party is still quite new on the political scene and lacks widespread credibility.
Nonetheless, we are hoping to have a definitive impact on the upcoming federal election in the hopes
of generating a strong base of support and priming ourselves for great prosperity in the near future.
For our party, the issue that is of most significant and pressing consequence in United States is that of
income inequality. As a western state, the US currently operates based on capitalist ideals that benefit
large corporations and the wealthiest portion of the population. Although this system looks good on
the surface, it has proven to have debilitating consequences on the vast majority of the population.
Most new wealth being generated goes directly into the pockets of the top 1%, which has caused the
middle class to shrink and has stunted economic development. In order to obtain success, our party
must frame the issue in a strategic and constructive lens that mobilizes voters and engages the
population as we fight for economic equality. Our party will have to be very cognizant of how it
conveys its message if it hopes to gain respect and recognition going forward, and there are a number
of strategies relating to political psychology that will be effective if implemented properly. One of the
most important orders of business in this campaign has to do with finding constructive ways

Breaking The Barriers In Robert Frost s Mending Wall
Mending Wall by Robert Frost defines the walls that people have a tendency to build into their lives to
keep other people out. People the majority of the time attempt to respect their neighbors barriers, and
will assist in conserving their boundaries by respecting their personal space. Nevertheless, some
outgoing neighbors will attempt to tear down these walls while still continuing to respect their
neighbor. Additionally, if a friendly neighbor is able to establish unwanted holes in one s wall, they
will in all likelihood help mend these holes so as to keep the integrity of the relationship. Altogether,
individuals in today s society are afraid to allow strangers into their personal lives. People build these
walls in fear that if they allow someone close to them, they give them the ability to hurt them.
Individuals frequently build walls around them, inhibiting others from becoming too close to them.
Additionally, out of respect, true friends often help maintain these wall in order to circumvent conflict.
Furthermore, still being able to maintain a healthy relationship, strangers will avoid infringement of
other s wall. These types of relationships can often be seen in a work environments or amongst
neighbors. In summary, some people regularly attempt to preserve a welcoming affiliation with those
around them, but become ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

outweighed the benefit: had he traveled to the fifth vendor, it would have been a complete waste of
time and money. Secondly, as soon as Postigo informed the potential vendors of their expected
delivery date, a second vendor dropped out of the running, stating that they would not be able to make
the delivery date. By sacrificing the face to face meetings, Postigo saved a large amount of time and
money while still attracting 3 potential vendors; eventually leading to a deal that, from his standpoint,
was very successful. a. Followup question: Did Postigo pay particular attention to the other party s
needs in the phone calls with Dehiv Medji? Postigo did a very good job of paying attention to Dehiv
Medji s needs throughout the negotiations. They spoke about the affect the Kenyan government might
have on both parties, understanding the government subsidies could cripple both parties. He brought
up Medji s opportunity to grow and wanted to be involved in their growth, he asked about growth
prospects...indicated that the two organizations might grow together (Negotiating, pg 7). Postigo
negotiated in a fair and cooperative manner, providing flexibility on delivery dates and transportation
costs. One of the biggest appeals of Dehvi Medji to OAF was its willingness to fix a price in
November for a January delivery (Negotiating, pg 7).

mutually beneficial, a dependency on Iranian oil for Beijing s policy decisions vanished and can no

Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as authors such as Dorraj and Currier or Kozhanov did. In
January 2005, Bush repeatedly warned, that military action against Iran was likely, hence increased
Beijing s fear for regime change, particularly since the IAEA inspectors visited the Parchin military

Nevertheless, China also had to maintain stable relations with the U.S. in order to keep a favorable
macro environment for economic growth, resulting in a balancing strategy to maintain good relations
with all parties concerned.
However, not only Iran s nuclear activities catered for suspicion among the international community.
Ahmadinejad s exclamation, to wipe Israel off the map particularly affected the U.S. approach, with
Israel being the U.S. most important ally in the region. Even though China was forced to ban military
trade with Israel in the beginning of 2005 due to U.S. pressure and with the same reason it already
happened during the late 1990 s, Ahmadinejad s choice of words made China increasingly critical,
stating that Israel s sovereignty has to be respected and that it would not tolerate anything that could
alter the stability in the Middle East. At the same time, China progressively opened its borders for the
Gulf states, resulting in four rounds of negotiations in the beginning of 2006 regarding customs, trade
remedies and trade of goods. The results of these negotiations, a reduction of import tariffs and
accelerating oil relations, made China increasingly independent from its trade with Iran, but
maintained a close and supportive relationship to it. Consequently, China slowly replaced the United
States as a trustworthy, at least trade wise, partner of Saudi Arabia by offering economic incentives

The Death Of Our Village
When I was young our village was much different than the hell we are in now. It all began when me
and some other children were playing on the beach. We suddenly saw something floating in the
distance. It appeared to be an enemy ship approaching, but as it was drawn further in by the rolling
tide, we could make out outlines of a human figure. Slowly but surely the waves pushed the
mysterious being onto the shore. We dragged him over to the sand. Water began to sprout from his
mouth like a newly dug up spring. With little sputtered coughs he vomited the sea water all out. His
eyes shot open shocking us all. With all his might he tried to raise his body, only to be lose out to his
exhaustion.

We did not even have to clean off his face to know that the dead man was a stranger. The village was
made up of only twenty odd wooden houses that had stone courtyards with no flowers and which were
spread about on the end of a desert like cape. There was so little land that mothers always went about
with the fear that the wind would carry off their children and the few dead that the years had caused
among them had to be thrown off the cliffs. But the sea was calm and bountiful and all the men fitted
into seven boats. So when we found the drowned man we simply had to look at one another to see that
we were all there.
That night the men did not work at sea. While the men went to find out if anyone was missing in
neighboring villages, the women stayed behind to care for the drowned man. The woman took the
mud off with grass swabs, they removed the underwater stones entangled in his hair, and washed him
with soap and water. As they were doing that we noticed that the vegetation on him came from
faraway oceans and that his clothes were in tatters, as if he had sailed through labyrinths of coral. But
only when they finished cleaning him off did we become aware of the kind of man he was and it left
them breathless. He was the tallest, strongest, most virile, and best built man we had ever seen.
We could not find a bed in the village large enough to lay him on nor was there a table solid enough to
use for him. The tallest men s

Modern Day Cigarette Analysis
Modern day media uses several tactics to convey important messages. This public service
announcement uses tactics that allow the public to focus on the topic cigarettes. In the past, before
advanced medical knowledge, society did not frown upon cigarettes. Medical professionals once
considered cigarettes good for one s health. Also, they did not think cigarettes had any negative
consequences to the body. Today, we know from doctors and other sources cigarettes are very
detrimental to one s health. However, many people continue to use cigarettes and other tobacco
products. For instance, the younger population of cigarette smokers tends to start smoking because
their friends smoke. This invite to smoking acts as peer pressure. Most of the time, young people tend
to give in to peer pressure. Therefore, more and more people start smoking regardless of the fact that
cigarettes are very damaging to a person s health. After so much use of cigarettes, death becomes
closer as opposed to a normal life without cigarettes. This public service announcement states the
message that smoking cigarettes can cause one s own death. The cigarette in his mouth illustrates this
topic. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Summary Of Imagery In All Quiet On The Western Front
Erich Maria Remarque explores the idea that war can destroy a generation of men physically, mentally
and emotionally in his anti war novel titled All Quiet on the Western Front. The author uses first
person narrative through a young German soldier named Paul Baumer to illustrate the terrorizing and
difficult lives of those who served in World War Ⅰ. Baumer is one of the several students who
voluntarily join the army along with his classmates, for they were driven to by their teacher, Kantorek
who stresses how it is their duty to protect and fight for their country Germany. Remarque highlights
the fact that Baumer is an inexperienced, innocent, young man who faces the constant struggle of
fighting to stay alive at such an early age. In Erich Maria Remarque s classic anti war novel, the
author uses diction, explicit imagery and first person narration to illustrate the realistic portrayal of the
horrors of war and argues against its necessity.
Remarque s use of diction creates an honest and very real viewpoint on war, which bolds the anti war
aspect of the novel. Remarque too fought in the war, so he was very candid with the subject, which is
portrayed quite clearly in the novel. In the novel it states, we were eighteen and had begun to love life
and the world; and we had to shoot it to pieces. The first bomb, the first explosion, burst in our hearts.
We are cut off from activity, from striving, from progress. We believe in such things no longer, we
believe in the war (88).

The Adaptive Nature Of Canada
The Adaptive Nature of Canada?s First People
The Canadian people have always prided themselves as champions of democracy and are universally
respected for their record on human rights. Although holistically this could be argued, especially when
compared to the United States and other Western states, the record concerning Aboriginals, both past
and present, has yet to live up to their self set standard. Defined simply as anyone who traces his/her
ancestry back to pre European colonization, there exist mass diversity within its community. Although
various political actors dispute the actual number of Aboriginals, Statistics Canada reported in 2006
that 1,678,200 people indicated they were ethnically Aboriginal or roughly 5.4 percent of the
population (Statistics Canada: Population Counts). It has been the goal of the Natives to regain
sovereignty since it was stripped from them in the sixteenth century. Pushed to the margins in all
aspects of life from negligible political relevance in Ottawa to the isolation they continue to
experience on the remote reserves, the Aboriginal people have had their humanity sapped
continuously out of them, yet have never given up hope. The minute advances in the last several
decades? stand in stark contrast to repression experienced for centuries. Weathering an intensely
exploitive government, Aboriginals have endured unimaginable repression. It was not until the
passage of the Constitution Act, specifically the Charter of Rights and

Introduction: The thesis for my data summative will focus on the idea of a possible correlation
between youth organized sports and youth crime rates. Sports are able to teach youth discipline,
honesty, character building and social skills. Since there are not many variables in the data being
researched most data will be taken from case studies and examples. Although there are a lot of
variables regarding youth crime it would take too much time and effort to try and pinpoint all the
different factors affecting youth crime (socio economic, cultural influences etc...) and instead we will
focus on two major variables. The rate in which young people are committing crimes in an area and

What followed was a massive improvement in the recidivism rates that Camp Kilpatrick saw. This was
such as successful movement that eventually there was a documentary which was then later made into
a feature length movie in 2006. The movie featured one scene that producers had a bit of trouble
deciding whether or not to incorporate the teams first game. They had suffered a loss that they were
unprepared for and most of the team broke down into tears. This was a big breakthrough in the
program, although graphically or statistically this has no meaning it showed that these inmates from
different gangs, most of whom which were rival gangs were bonding through the sport of football and
were upset that they had attempted to bond together against another team and lost. This prompted
further teamwork among rival gangs and eventually the team found itself in the championship game in
which they lost a close game of 13 7. This alone would not amount to much, maybe it meant that for
one year the detention centre had a good year of inmates who were willing to look past their
differences.
Although the detention centre doesn t keep records or come up with statistics it is generally thought
that out of inmates who participated in athletics 70% do not re offend , when in comparison to the
general population of the detention centre which has a recidivism rate of around 75%6. In short this

The Differences Of Shinto And Nordic Religions
Since the beginning of mankind, every society has looked to religion to give meaning to life. From a
good harvest, to understanding the purpose of our existence; the belief in the divine provides a
platform on which many people can develop answers to universal questions. Through the Shinto and
Nordic religions, communities have been able to connect to the divine through their traditions,
experiencing their spirituality through worshipping a deity, engaging in festivals and even undertaking
pilgrimages. Although their distinctive cultures result in differing religious practices for the Japanese
and Norse societies, both strive to make sense of our world, and seek the meaning to human existence.
Shintoism is the native religion of Japan, however, unlike most other religions; it claims no sacred text
or founder. Because of this, Shintoism is more commonly referred to as a reflection of Japanese
culture and history, often blending with other religions, such as Buddhism (O Neal et al., 2007). Being
an immanent religion, Shinto values the importance of experiencing harmony with the spirits of the
world, known as the kami. These kami inhabit all things, from animals and mountains, to the spirits of
the deceased (Toropov and Buckles, 2011). Although not considered all powerful, the chief kami of
this animistic spirituality is the sun goddess, Amaterasu. As the daughter of Izanagi and Izanami, the
creators of Japan, her role is to rule over the heavens, and provide the Japanese

Chapman s article explains the truth behind coerced false confessions, which involves suspects
admitting to a crime they did not commit. With true examples and specific explanations and
descriptions, Chapman shows just how suspects feel their only option is a fabricated confession.
Through interrogations, police can involve threats, manipulation, persuasion, and several other
methods to make a person confess. Factors such as stress and fear can also cause suspects to confess.
In some cases, innocent suspects even come to believe they are guilty due to incorrect interrogation
methods. This article is not all about police forcing people to confess though, it also explains how
police are put under a tremendous amount of pressure to get a confession out of someone, any person
who will confess. Therefore, they do anything they can to get the confession they so ... Show more

Kennis s article goes into each individual reason suspects feel their only option is to admit to a crime

confessions occur. This article includes examples of crimes innocent people claimed to have
committed for a variety of reasons. It explains each reason and helps readers better understand exactly
how an innocent person could say they committed a crime. This article develops a full explanation that

Analysis Of The Story Barn Burning By William Faulkner
Freedom In the story Barn Burning, William Faulkner writes about a boy whose father is a crook and
the boy s journey leaving his family. There are two main characters, Colonel Sartoris Snopes (Sarty)
and Abner Snopes. The boy s name in this is Colonel Sartoris Snopes and Abner Snopes is the father.
Abner Snopes feels that the law is always out to get him. So, he believes that his family should stick
r=together no matter what happens. The story is set in the late eighteen hundreds after the civil war.
The first scene of the story takes place in an old grocery store, in which they are holding a hearing for
Abner Snopes. A man named Mr. Harris accuses Abner for burning down his barn, but he has no
proof. The Justice calls Sarty to testify, but he does not speak. With Mr. Harris having no proof and
Sarty not testifying against his father the Justice tells Abner that he should leave the country and not
come back. Abner takes his family and leaves the country where he is not welcomed. This opening
scene sets the stage for the rest of the story. This story shows that over time if we think that the world
is out to get us we will only push those who are close to us away. After leaving the town the family
camped in a grove of oaks. Before going to bed Abner called Sarty and accused him of not standing up
for him. While Abner was talking to Sarty he brought up the thought that the people in the store were
only trying to get at him. The next morning they got up and

Ethyl Acetate NaOH Reaction Kinetics Experiment Martin Novick Group 14, Chemical Engineering
Laboratory Submitted to Prof. David B. Henthorn September 25, 2012 Summary The goal of this
project was to determine the pre exponential factor, k o , the activation energy, E, and the reaction rate
constants, k, of the saponification process of ethyl acetate using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) at 5
temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Two trails were performed at temperatures 16, 18, 20,

and a 0.1M ethyl acetate solution. A 20% excess Ethyl acetate was used to ensure NaOH was the
limiting reactant.[1] NaOH was chosen for the limiting reactant because of its high conductivity
relative to Ethyl acetate. The extent of the reaction was monitored by measuring the conductivity
throughout the reaction. With NaOH being the limiting reactant, the change in conductivity is more
visible, and the termination of the reaction can

Why Do People Have A Near Death Experience
Have you ever had a near death experience? Did you notice any changes in yourself or things around
you? Many people have noticed monumental changes after their near death experiences. No matter the
degree of danger, they still realized common things. A near death experience can transform one s
personal life and beliefs. Most people who have had near death experiences have five things in
common: changes in priority, time slows down, not realizing they made a choice with their actions, and
things turned unexpectedly dangerous quickly.
Many people who have experienced near death experiences have had a change in priorities such as
Tom Benecke, Patrick Daniels, and Scott Lear. Before Tom Benecke had his near death experience, his
main priority was finishing his work instead of spending time with his wife. After he almost fell from
a ledge that was outside his window, he realized that he was putting things before his wife and decided

Solicitors Within Criminal Cases ( P3 )
Solicitors in Criminal Cases:
A solicitor is a lawyer who deals directly with clients by giving legal advice as well as preparing legal
documents and if necessary advocating in court. Solicitors are generally found in firms in towns and
cities and therefore are easily accessible to all.
A solicitor needs to get all key details from the client before a bail hearing. Solicitors undertaking
criminal cases are also able to represent in court under the Solicitors Higher Rights of Audience
Regulations Act 2010. Barristers in Criminal Cases:
Barristers are trained to advise clients on the strengths and weaknesses of their cases and to act as
advocates. Barristers represent their clients in court, primarily the higher courts, to prove their
innocence or to get the best sentence for their clients. The barrister in question will do legal research,
cross examine witnesses, hold case conferences and write an opinion on the case for their client.
Explain the role of judges and lawyers in civil cases (P3)
Solicitors in Civil Cases
Solicitors in civil cases do a similar job as one of a solicitor in a criminal case. A solicitor in a civil
case can still, given they have the qualification, represent their client in court. The solicitor will still
complete legal documents, advise clients, collaborate with barristers and find witnesses. They may

Constitution. New federal laws have buckled down on immigration, however this does not affect
sanctuary cities. Sanctuary cities do not have to follow the exaggerated immigration laws, due to the
tenth amendment. The tenth amendment separates federal and state powers, meaning that the states
have jurisdiction in sanctuary cities. Referencing the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the
Amendment prevents the federal government from coercing state or local governments to use their
resources to enforce a federal regulatory program ... Similarly to how the tenth amendment protects
sanctuary cities from federal law, it also protects them from the federal government attempting to
force sanctuary cities to provide information. For this reason, sanctuary cities keep a don t ask, don t

The Immigrant Legal Resource Center assures that, Congress cannot compel state or local
governments to collect immigration status information in order to share it with the federal
government. The don t ask, don t tell policy refers to the sanctuary cities version of not collecting data.
Without collecting data, these cities are never in violation of federal law. There is very limited record

the tenth amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects sanctuary cities from the federal government in
enforcing federal law, forcing private information from the cities, and protecting the citizens of these

Prussian Military Reforms Essay
Innovation and Evolution:
Prussian Military Reforms of the 19th Century
The concept of war as a static and unchanging occurrence is an outdated and dangerous
miscalculation. More accurately, war is a fluidic, evolving and shifting phenomenon constantly
reinventing itself, rendering stagnant, inflexible principles potentially disastrous. Consequently, as
students of war and future players in this transforming theatre, the study of eras of significant
development is an extremely relevant pursuit. Recognizing the need for adaptation and the creation of
doctrine is now a prerequisite for any effective modern commander. War is unpredictable in nature and

These developments influenced most of the powerful nations of Europe and were soon repeated in
similar forms around the world. Furthermore, many of the Prussian enhancements in army doctrine are
the foundation of the command structures of many modern militaries today.
Although his armies enjoyed unprecedented successes and expanded the French Empire from Spain to
the steppes of Russia, the Napoleonic way of war was fraught with deficiencies. Due to the Napoleon
s genius and mastery of this period of military manoeuvres, he was able to forestall the affects of the
inherent limitations of his system until the war of the Sixth Coalition (1813) and eventually the fateful
battle of Waterloo (1815). One the most significant, intrinsic flaws in Napoleon s system was related
to issues of command. During the beginnings of Napoleon s career, he commanded armies of sizes up
to 60 000 troops. In Italy in 1796, he commanded a force of just 38 000. With the increasing sizes of
forces in the later empire, due to concepts such as levee en masse and recruitment legislation of 1792,
the inability of a single commander to control such vast forces was becoming apparent. The sheer
immensity of the forces now mustered was unprecedented. In 1812 the Grande Armee, consisted of a
staggering 611 000 soldiers. Much to the hindrance of the later empire, few, if any officers in the
Grande Armee, besides Napoleon himself, could command forces

I started education at the age of five and continued till I graduated with a BA degree in Eritrea.
Unfortunately, due to well founded fear of persecution I escaped Eritrea to Sudan illegally. More
precisely, I refused to become a victim of the evil treatment by the regime in Eritrea. Saying even a

The Anunciation And Expulsion From Paradise Summary
Giovani di Paolo s The Annunciation and Expulsion from Paradise is currently in the National Gallery
of Art in Washington DC. According to the panel next to the artwork, the piece was finished in 1435
CE and made of tempera on panel. This Sienese altarpiece from the start of the Italian Renaissance
shows the experimentation of form at that time. Giovanni di Paolo uses golden texture to display
divinity, line to illustrate architectural perspective, and a strategic use of scale throughout the
composition in order to portray the importance of the religious context. The golden foil that
compliments tempera works at the time draws your eye to specific points in the piece. Drawing your
eye to the upper left corner, the golden material then aids the eye in traveling down towards the
bottom right corner. Because the largest golden form is in the upper right corner, your sight starts
there. This is where god is represented and the symbol for divinity starts. Divinity implied by golden
nimbuses or halos continue throughout the piece around the head of divine figures. The only two
figures on the left without nimbuses represent Adam and Eve who are no longer divine one kicked out
of paradise. This relates to the second part of the title, Expulsion from Paradise. For obvious cultural
reasons, the angels have the heavenly halos. One angel is specifically known, Archangel Gabriel,
because of the annunciation scene with Mary in the center. Joseph, at the right, and Mary both also

Selflessness And Selflessness In The Movie The Impossible
In the movie, The Impossible, Lucas Bennett shows selflessness and bravery as he does everything to
keep his mother, Maria, alive. While Lucas and Maria walk through the debris they hear a child
crying. Maria insists on helping anyone they can so she urges Lucas to help the child. Lucas reflects
that he is brave and selfless as he rescues the helpless child. He put his life in danger to find a
complete stranger. Lucas then faces another challenge as he pushes his mother up into the tree, before
pulling himself up. He puts his life in danger in order to insure his mother s safety. Another example
of Lucas s strong personalities is shown when Lucas makes it his priority to reunite families in the
hospital. Despite knowing the chances of reuniting a family, in such a large hospital, were slim, he
showed selflessness by trying anyway and putting other s needs in front of his own. This displayed his
selfless and brave qualities.
The film is based off of a tsunami that occurred in Thailand on the 26th of December. The Bennett
family ,of five, went to Thailand for a vacation, but were welcomed with an unexpected event that
changed their lives in an instant. A tsunami occurs at Khao Lak as the family is swimming in the hotel
pool. Each member is swept away in different directions. It shows the family trying to survive and
find each other. Maria and Lucas were separated from Henry (father), Thomas and Simon. Maria is

Things Fall Apart Misogynist
The novel Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, can be viewed or depicted in many different ways
depending on the reader. The novel takes place during the late nineteenth century and the early
twentieth century in a village named Umuofia, Nigeria. The timing is important to the setting because
during this period in colonial history, Britain was trying to modernize and increase economic, cultural,
and political influence in Africa. In Things Fall Apart women are viewed as weak and oppressed, and
women are continually given bad connotations, while the men are viewed as superior. I will explain

A misogynist, who is a person that is strongly prejudiced against women, would read this novel and
see nothing wrong with the way the women are being treated. Instead, the misogynist would praise it
and see it as a thing that should be happening. Misogynists would be entertained by the way Okonkwo
has an impulsive temper and acts before he thinks. The way Okonkwo collects and beats his wives
makes him manly in his tribe. Okonkwo gave her a sound beating and left her and her only daughter
weeping. Neither of the other wives dared to interfere beyond an occasional and tentative, It is
enough, Okonkwo, pleaded from a reasonable distance. (Shmoop, Achebe) To have the women be so
afraid of the way Okonkwo reacts and his bad temper that his wives have to tell him to stop beating
one of the other wives from a distance, shows how crazy he can get. Misogynists would not see this as
a bad thing, because they want the women to know better than to involve themselves. If one of the

Okonkwo would most likely feel disrespected or intimidated and would end up beating her,

The Controversy Behind Shakespeare s Work
Shakespeare or Bacon For many centuries, there has been a controversy over whether or not
Shakespeare wrote his plays himself or whether another author wrote the works and gave him the
credit. Shakespeare (1564 1616) is recorded to have written 37 plays and 154 sonnets, but the
authorship of Shakespeare s work has been disputed. There is valid reason to believe that Francis
Bacon is the genuine author behind Shakespeare s name. Bacon s similar high status, numerous
travels, and the Baconian theory are valuable reasons that give evidence to Bacon possibly being the
author. Francis Bacon lived a short extraordinary life from places he was able to travel to, to the things
he wrote, and to people he experienced along the way. Bacon was a highly intelligent child, not only

Persuasive Essay On Older Adults
In today s society, the older adults are often left behind and forgotten about. Society is often less
concerned about this population when they should be more concerned. As discussed above, as some
transition into later life, it is almost like they are entering a new world that they must readjust to. They
have to get comfortable in their new living environment, sometimes without their spouse and with
fewer friends and family members around. As a society, if we don t start monitoring this population,
the high rates will continue to rise and more older adults will continue to self harm which will lead to
a huge social justice matter. In order to advocate for this population, we must first educate those who
are not aware. I think it would be beneficial to start small programs or fairs throughout different
communities where families can be educated on exactly what to look for and how they can care more
for their older adult family members. In order to make this possible, resources are need. Educators,
physicians and social workers can all come together to provide the necessary curriculum to those
being educated. Certain policies should also be in place that will prevent the misuse of prescription
drugs. Instead of quickly responding to chronic pain with medicine, maybe other things should be in
place such as physical therapy or natural herbs, to help those individuals work through their pain. As
older adults visit health care more often, physicians should take time for screening

dominant political power was shifting from France to England, and Venice was beginning to become
stale in the political sense and become more of a site for tourists, there was a chance for artistic styles
to change as well Moreover, with the end of Louis XIV s reign, movement away from previously
mentioned artistic styles began. Taking up residence in Paris, the aristocracy abandoned the Palace of
Versailles. This move away from the monarchy in favor of the aristocracy can be seen in Rococo art,
as can other elements from the time period. The actual term, rococo, comes from the French word
rocaille, which means rock work . The Rococo style was given its name due to its reliance on
seashells, bits of rock, and other playful motifs for decorations. During his reign, Louis XIV
commissioned light and airy decorations for Versailles. After his death in 1715, this style began to take
the place of Baroque. There was new emphasis on asymmetry, as well as on complex, graceful curves.
The s curve in particular was the most important. Color schemes lightened up considerably, and
overall form became more relaxed and avoided form and direction at timesé. Overall, this carefree,
lighthearted style was best in smaller spaces, whimsy replaced grandeur, and emotional depth was no

UNLV Reflection Essay
As UNLV Graduates its 2016 Spring class, its commencements speakers offer words of community
and impact
The city of Las Vegas is full of excitement and wonder kind of like exiting the doors of your final
lecture as a senior in college. College can be a difficult transition for many; and it s easy to get caught
up in the social pressures while trying to find your place. As we try and find ways of connecting with
one another, UNLV s 2016 Spring graduation commencement speakers Daniel Waquar (under)
Monica Moradkhan (graduate) use their personal experiences and educational attainment to connect
with their peers in their respective fields. Both native Vegans use their unique perspective to share a
message of community and impact.
Finding community through understanding:
Growing up in Las Vegas, Daniel s life was impacted by the tragic events of 9/11. I remember in 5th
grade we learned how to write persuasive essays, he recalls. I wrote about the war in Iraq and why we
should withdraw our troops from there. Possessing a genuine desire to understand and connect with
those of dissimilar backgrounds, Daniel decided to attend UNLV in the pursuit of a degree in History.
When I majored in history, I wanted to focus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being awarded the Truman scholarship, a grant awarded to students who will work in public service
post graduation, Daniel cites his parents for his global perspective. They always encouraged me to be
civically minded and to think globally, not just locally. Taking that perspective and applying it to his
fellow graduates, Daniels upcoming message is about encouraging community involvement especially
on campus. Remain open minded and optimistic about the things you can do at UNLV, he suggests.
The connections you can make with people from all different walks of life, the diversity that you see
here at UNLV is the face of

Analysis Of The Movie The Help
The Help is a drama set in Jackson, Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960 s. The
film focuses on the development of Eugenia Skeeter Phelan, a young, aspiring Anglo American author
trying to find her way in the world of writing. After becoming closer acquainted with Aibileen, an
African American maid employed by her peer Elizabeth Leefolt, Skeeter becomes more aware of the
racist attitudes that white Americans in her community have towards black Americans. After
successfully interviewing Minny, Aibileen s best friend and fellow maid, Skeeter interviews the maids
of multiple households and collects their stories and experiences of their lives. This leads Skeeter on a
risky path towards bringing awareness to black ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Mammy is a stereotypical black motherly figure that has cast African American actors as either
slaves or domestic help in the film industry since its inception. For example in the classic 1939 film
Gone with the Wind adapted from Margaret Mitchell s 1936 novel set during the American Civil war
in 1861, the character named Mammy is played by African American actress Hattie McDaniel. In this
role Mammy is portrayed as an overweight, elderly, black servant. She is beyond the years of
childbearing but who is devoted to the white O Hara family she is assigned to nurture. In the book she
is described as, a huge old woman with the small, shrewd eyes of an elephant. She was shining black,
pure African, devoted to her last drop of blood to the O Haras... (Mitchell, 1936) . Since this depiction
a Mammy has become an archetypal figure that began with slavery but continued to be depicted by
white Americans as classic domesticated help. Like McDaniel s character these women are most often
characterised as portly with large breasts (Gray, 2004) devoid of any sexual identity. In The Help the
appearance of the African American maids, particularly the main character, Aibileen, is reminiscent of
the Mammy figure. Aibileen is not portrayed as overweight as Hattie McDaniel s character, but she is
noticeably larger than all of the white characters in the film. Aibileen also has very dark skin which
separates her from her white counterparts. In the novel Aibileen compares

Morgan The Walking Dead Analysis
Last week s The Walking Dead Season 6 premiere ended on high note as a cacophonous alarm
interjected Rick (Andrew Lincoln) plans to parade just about one million zombies away from
Alexandria. Turns out, it belonged to a mack truck that the Wolves used to ram Alexandria s gates.
Morgan turned up just in time to kill the zombified driver, and also to confront Carol, who had
brilliantly disguised herself as a Wolf in order to kill the invaders, US Weekly reported. Unfortunately,
Morgan is the one person on earth who didn t think this was totally badass and awesome. You don t
have to kill people, Morgan said. Of course we do, Carol barked. She then made a run to protect the
arsenal and fully propelled her Susie Homemaker cover in the

He worked at the Imperial Indian Police until 1927 when he went to London to study the poverty stricken. He then moved to Paris where he wrote two lost novels. After he moved back to England he wrote Down and Out in Paris and London, Burmese Days, A Clergyman s Daughter and Keep the Apidistra Flying. He published all four under the pseudonym George Orwell. He then married Eileen O Shaughnessy and wrote The Road to Wigan Pier. Orwell then joined the Army and fought in the Spanish Civil War. Discussing the publication of his first book with his agent, he decided on three possible pseudonyms: Kenneth Miles, George Orwell and H. Lewis Allways. He favored George Orwell. The Orwell is a river in Suffolk, south of his parents home. George Orwell published his first book in 1933. After Burmese Days came two more novels: A Clergyman s Daughter, published in 1935; and Keep the Apidistra Flying, published in 1936. In the Spring of 1936 he moved to Hertfordshire and married Eileen O Shaughnessy, an Oxford graduate in English, a teacher, a journalist, and later a London graduate in psychology. Orwell s reputation at this time was based mainly on his accounts of poverty and depression. His next book, The Road to Wigan Pier was written for the Left Book Club and started his career as a political writer. Much of this book was composed of an essay on class and socialism, which was Orwell s first statement of his political position. It will be argued in this paper that by examining the historical circumstances surrounding their emergence and their use, it is possible to come to an understanding of the role they played in these societies as well as well as their appeal. Trial By Ordeal Trial by ordeal was a judicial institution relied on in medieval era in England and the European Continent. Ordeals were used to determine someone s guilt or innocence by putting the accused through a physically painful act and relying on a sign from God to pronounce their guilt (Langbein, 2008, p.44). Higher data rates and signal quality is always desired among the users; therefore a more efficient use of the frequency resource is needed to fill the user capacity needs. Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) is used to increase the capacity given by regular multiple access techniques (FDMA, TDMA and CDMA) using the user position information to provide access to the best communication channel based on their spatial location. This paper presents Smart Antenna techniques applied to SDMA systems as an efficient frequency usage technique. The spectrum is limited, but multiple access techniques allow a large number of mobile users to share the same allocated spectrum efficiently and use the same bandwidth at the same time without degrading the existing quality of service. Sending and receiving simultaneously information to and from the base station is desirable among wireless communication systems. Equipping these base stations with smart antenna arrays enable beam steering in contrast to sectorized single antenna systems. This make possible to Base Stations to send data to specific users on the down link or to receive directed data on the up link by reusing channels within a cell for Mobile Stations (MS), spatially separated by smart antenna arrays. Cellular system divides the area into cells where mobile units are located and aims to increase the capacity of the channel with an efficient level of quality of service. Wildfires are required to burn in order to keep the ecosystem in check. In Banff National Park, these fires burn in old growth areas. Once the fire is burned out it leaves nutrients in the soil to aid in regrowth for future plants. After the fire Grizzly Bears rummage through the now loose and nutrient rich soil for certain roots that are apart of their diets. These roots are only accessible to the Grizzly Bear after a fire has cleared out the forest. Once regeneration starts, the nutrients in the soil allow other food sources to begin growth and bears start to forage for them. The cycle continues once the forest has regrown. Nonetheless, we are hoping to have a definitive impact on the upcoming federal election in the hopes of generating a strong base of support and priming ourselves for great prosperity in the near future. For our party, the issue that is of most significant and pressing consequence in United States is that of income inequality. As a western state, the US currently operates based on capitalist ideals that benefit large corporations and the wealthiest portion of the population. Although this system looks good on the surface, it has proven to have debilitating consequences on the vast majority of the population. Most new wealth being generated goes directly into the pockets of the top 1%, which has caused the middle class to shrink and has stunted economic development. In order to obtain success, our party must frame the issue in a strategic and constructive lens that mobilizes voters and engages the population as we fight for economic equality. Our party will have to be very cognizant of how it conveys its message if it hopes to gain respect and recognition going forward, and there are a number of strategies relating to political psychology that will be effective if implemented properly. Summary Of Imagery In All Quiet On The Western Front Erich Maria Remarque explores the idea that war can destroy a generation of men physically, mentally and emotionally in his anti war novel titled All Quiet on the Western Front. The author uses first person narrative through a young German soldier named Paul Baumer to illustrate the terrorizing and difficult lives of those who served in World War Ⅰ. Baumer is one of the several students who voluntarily join the army along with his classmates, for they were driven to by their teacher, Kantorek who stresses how it is their duty to protect and fight for their country Germany. Remarque highlights the fact that Baumer is an inexperienced, innocent, young man who faces the constant struggle of fighting to stay alive at such an early age. In Erich Maria Remarque s classic anti war novel, the author uses diction, explicit imagery and first person narration to illustrate the realistic portrayal of the horrors of war and argues against its necessity. Remarque s use of diction creates an honest and very real viewpoint on war, which bolds the anti war aspect of the novel. Remarque too fought in the war, so he was very candid with the subject, which is portrayed quite clearly in the novel. In the novel it states, we were eighteen and had begun to love life and the world; and we had to shoot it to pieces. The first bomb, the first explosion, burst in our hearts. We are cut off from activity, from striving, from progress. We believe in such things no longer, we believe in the war (88). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From a good harvest, to understanding the purpose of our existence; the belief in the divine provides a platform on which many people can develop answers to universal questions. Through the Shinto and Nordic religions, communities have been able to connect to the divine through their traditions, experiencing their spirituality through worshipping a deity, engaging in festivals and even undertaking pilgrimages. Although their distinctive cultures result in differing religious practices for the Japanese and Norse societies, both strive to make sense of our world, and seek the meaning to human existence. Shintoism is the native religion of Japan, however, unlike most other religions; it claims no sacred text or founder. There are two main characters, Colonel Sartoris Snopes (Sarty) and Abner Snopes. The boy s name in this is Colonel Sartoris Snopes and Abner Snopes is the father. Abner Snopes feels that the law is always out to get him. So, he believes that his family should stick r=together no matter what happens. The story is set in the late eighteen hundreds after the civil war. The first scene of the story takes place in an old grocery store, in which they are holding a hearing for Abner Snopes. A man named Mr. Harris accuses Abner for burning down his barn, but he has no proof. The Justice calls Sarty to testify, but he does not speak. With Mr. Harris having no proof and Sarty not testifying against his father the Justice tells Abner that he should leave the country and not come back. Abner takes his family and leaves the country where he is not welcomed. This opening scene sets the stage for the rest of the story. Henthorn September 25, 2012 Summary The goal of this project was to determine the pre exponential factor, k o , the activation energy, E, and the reaction rate constants, k, of the saponification process of ethyl acetate using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) at 5 temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Two trails were performed at temperatures 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 degrees Celsius. The main equipment of the project were the jacketed beaker batch reactor and the LabPro conductivity probe. The solution s conductivity throughout the reaction was collected and plotted in a linearized plot against time to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Consequently, as students of war and future players in this transforming theatre, the study of eras of significant development is an extremely relevant pursuit. These developments influenced most of the powerful nations of Europe and were soon repeated in similar forms around the world. Furthermore, many of the Prussian enhancements in army doctrine are the foundation of the command structures of many modern militaries today. Due to the Napoleon s genius and mastery of this period of military manoeuvres, he was able to forestall the affects of the inherent limitations of his system until the war of the Sixth Coalition (1813) and eventually the fateful battle of Waterloo (1815). One the most significant, intrinsic flaws in Napoleon s system was related to issues of command. During the beginnings of Napoleon s career, he commanded armies of sizes up to 60 000 troops. In Italy in 1796, he commanded a force of just 38 000. With the increasing sizes of forces in the later empire, due to concepts such as levee en masse and recruitment legislation of 1792, the inability of a single commander to control such vast forces was becoming apparent. The sheer immensity of the forces now mustered was unprecedented. In 1812 the Grande Armee, consisted of a staggering 611 000 soldiers. According to the panel next to the artwork, the piece was finished in 1435 CE and made of tempera on panel. This Sienese altarpiece from the start of the Italian Renaissance shows the experimentation of form at that time. Giovanni di Paolo uses golden texture to display divinity, line to illustrate architectural perspective, and a strategic use of scale throughout the composition in order to portray the importance of the religious context. The golden foil that compliments tempera works at the time draws your eye to specific points in the piece. Drawing your eye to the upper left corner, the golden material then aids the eye in traveling down towards the bottom right corner. Because the largest golden form is in the upper right corner, your sight starts there. This is where god is represented and the symbol for divinity starts. Divinity implied by golden nimbuses or halos continue throughout the piece around the head of divine figures. The only two figures on the left without nimbuses represent Adam and Eve who are no longer divine one kicked out of paradise. This relates to the second part of the title, Expulsion from Paradise. There is valid reason to believe that Francis Bacon is the genuine author behind Shakespeare s name. They have to get comfortable in their new living environment, sometimes without their spouse and with fewer friends and family members around. Flourishing during the reign of Louis XV and disappearing toward the end of the 18th century, Rococo was a playful opposing response to the solemnity of Classicism and the grandeur of Baroque. As dominant political power was shifting from France to England, and Venice was beginning to become stale in the political sense and become more of a site for tourists, there was a chance for artistic styles to change as well Moreover, with the end of Louis XIV s reign, movement away from previously mentioned artistic styles began.
