Gucci Flip Flops Research Paper
I just hit your female in some gucci flip flops. This is a quote from a song by Future called Thought it
was a Drought. If I was a shoe I would be a Gucci flip flop . The reason why I chose a Gucci flip is
not only because I enjoy the song, but also because the Gucci flip flop represents being fresh and
wearing designer shoes even when you re doing something so casual. I enjoy listening to the kind of
music that Future produces. The brand Gucci is usually represented by rap music. Rappers live very
expensive and lavish lifestyles and that is something that I would like to have. Along with listening to
trap music, I like to be comfortable while I do it. Flip flops represent comfort and casualty. Although it
is may be very comfortable it

Honest Iago In Shakespeare s Othello
Iago is a master manipulator of people and one of Shakespeare s greatest villains. He has the ability to
persuade people about his honesty as Othello said Honest Iago . Also, he has the ability to make other
characters do what he needs by understanding what motivates them. Iago only display his right nature
in his soliloquies, and in asides. It is obvious that he is friendly when he acts as an advocate for
Othello and Cassio. Shakespeare has created this character from a notion existing in the theatrical
culture during his time. The Devil in religiou virtue plays, which raised into the villain in Elizabethan
drama and tragedy. Iago said I am not what I am, (I.1, 65) which is an irony style, and it intend that he

and inciting his victim. It understood as a kind of I hope I am not unsettling you . Also, he explain that
he is not straining his speech to grosser issues . However, this has wishes for effects of distorting
Othello s mind to imagine Desdemona having sexual with Cassio. Echo style is a technique to explain
how Iago repeating the original sound and facts after it end to manipulate in others mind. Iago s utter
lack of persuading motivation. He claims to be angry at Othello because he did not get the position of
lieutenant. Then, he thinks Othello and his wife ,Emilia, betrayed him and he said: It is thought abroad

Overview of Normocytic Anemia
Normocytic This is the term that describes a red blood cell that is of normal size. They usually also
have hemoglobin content (medical dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Normocytic) Normochromic
anemia, Also known as normocytic anemia. This is the most frequent type of anemia most often
happening to males over 85 years old. It is a common problem that occurs to men and women over 85
years old. Symptoms include and are caused by: a reduced production of normal sized red blood cells
even though presence of hemoglobin in the red blood cells is within the standard range; an increased
production of HbS as is seen in sickle cell diseases; greater destruction and loss of red blood cells; an
increase in plasma volume that is not compensated by anything else; a B2 (riboflavin) deficiency; and
a B6 (pyridoxine) deficiency. (Brill Baumgardner 2000). Marked leukocytosis A significant increase
in the white blood cell count (the leukocyte count) that is above the normal range in the blood.
Inflammatory, it is often the result of infections and therefore exists in certain parasitic infections. It
can also occur after strenuous exercise, and following convulsions such as epilepsy, emotional stress,
pregnancy and labor, anesthesia, and epinephrine administration. Leukocytosis falls into five
categories: 1.Neutrophilia (the most common form; in which neutrophils are elevated)
2.Lymphocytosis (which lymphocyte count is elevated) 3.Monocytosis (leukocytosis in which

Chemistry Lab And Organic Chemistry
After a harsh Wednesday due to Chemistry Lab and Organic Chemistry, I enjoy sitting in the patio
area of Cafe 1919 and enjoy a Panini along with a Caprese salad. Both the main dish and side contain
a fruit I once hated as a child. Tomato have always been the part of the burger I threw out, the part of
the salad I did not touch, the part I could never swallow. Even throughout high school, I always hated
tomatoes, but ever since I got to UCLA my love for this fruit exponentially grew out of nowhere. One
day as I was enjoying my usual Wednesday lunch, I wonder what gave these little morsels such a juicy
taste. Perhaps UCLA does but the best fruit and vegetables for their students, perhaps the oil the
tomatoes bathe in give it its rich taste, or perhaps we have those hidden GMO, gentically modified
organisms, that people argue over its stability. I search if there is any known gentically altered
tomatoes and the search engine directed me to links that talk about a product known as the Flavr Savr.
Interesting enough the product known as the Flavr Savr, which is a gentically altered tomato is
actually the first FDA approved GMO to hit to the market. After discovering the first ever GMO my
curious mind started asking questions that I needed to know. I wonder what exactly is the Flavr Sav?
When was it created? Who created it and how? Was there a reason they chose to mess with the DNA
of a tomato? How did people response to the first of many gentically altered food? Is the Flavr

Civic Engagement And Political Participation
Cierra Cordova
Participation in Government
Yes, government should be in the business of promoting civic engagement and political participation.
Why? Because people usually chose not to vote because they don t believe that their votes matter or
they are not educated on the material that the government is conveying to them. When it comes to
politics, America has it good. Citizens that are over eighteen are able to vote on various different
political stances. Americans can voice their opinions on what should or shouldn t happen in the United
States. In many countries, people don t have a choice on what goes on in their government.
Going back to the term civic engagement; it means working to make a difference in the civic life of
our communities

The Purpose Of The Individual Mandate
The term individual mandate, as a component of the Affordable Care Act, is a mandatory requirement
according to which the majority of people in the United States has to have some kind of health
insurance. Most specifically, according to the fundamentals of this regulation, any individual who can
afford a health insurance policy, but chooses not to do so, will have to pay a fine. Prior to the existence
of the individual mandate, health insurance companies had the choice to reject people with health
conditions that would potentially incur high costs. Because of this reason, a significant number of
people did not have any health coverage. In order to maintain insurance premiums reasonably steady
and sustain government cost balanced, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The individual mandate, at this point, presents itself as the most cost effective and affordable way
through which reasonably priced coverages are available to the mass population. The bests advantage
of the individual mandate, according to Nick Tate, is that it prevents insurance companies from
rejecting people because they have a pre existing health condition. Under this provision, all Americans
benefit a coverage plan regardless of their health Status. When healthcare companies are legally
obligated to accept policy holders with any situation, every single American has the obligation to
enroll in a healthcare plan. Therefore, the dilemma of people trying avoid having such a plan
disappear as it become illegal to be living without any coverage.
Government Subsidies for the Lower Income Individuals
To make it easier for every American to enroll in a plan, the Federal government provides lower
income taxpayers who do not receive insurance from employers or other sources and do not qualify
for an exemption with a premium tax credit to subsidize the purchase of qualified health plans
purchased through an Exchange. Radically the individual mandate reflects the image of a program

Birth Control On Culture And Society
Birth control is a huge issue in our social world. Through the many perspectives birth control can
connect individuals with society. There is a whole culture set around birth control, the media affects an
individual s thoughts, and conflict theory can also affect people s views on contraception.
Culture and society have many factors from a social perspective. They consist of objectives, beliefs,
behaviors, and any other common traits between a group of people. Of course, culture is not fixed.
People are free to choose and change their minds as time passes by. American culture from today is
vastly different from 100 years ago. Some of the changes are due to the advancement of technology
and new inventions. Birth control is one invention to have an effect on culture. Many people condemn
the usage of any form of birth control. Birth control includes hormonal methods, barrier methods, and
natural methods. A symbol of maturity can be seen in these methods of contraception. For example,
for a teenager boy to receive a condom (barrier method) from his father before going on a date
symbolizes the boy ending his childhood and entering adulthood. Also, the condom to the boy
symbolizes the trust the father has given to his son. The father believes that his son will be responsible
and fully trusts in him to make the right decision. Another way contraception can be a symbol is when
a girl decides to use birth control pills. The usage of these pills symbolizes her

Chapter 2 Samuel 11-12 Explain And Show The Nature Of God
Interpretation of the text
The chapters, 2 Samuel 11 12, explain and show the nature of humans and the nature of God as well.
David is used as an example in these chapters as someone who falls short of temptation while being
highly favored by God. David was doing everything right and was rewarded for it. David was granted
everything he could possibly want and it was well deserved from his good intentions and morals.
When David all of a sudden sees a beautiful woman bathing, he feels like he can justify himself as
someone who is deserving of her knowing that she is married to a friend and soldier. Uriah was in
battle fighting and David impregnates his wife, Bathsheba. David immediately orders Uriah to come
home so that he can cover up his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
God favors David greatly and it is obvious in the Old Testament especially in Acts 13:22 when He
says that David is a man after my own heart . It is amazing to see God love, forgive and care for
someone you has committed such harsh sins as David. After the parable, God continues to speak
through Nathan by asking David how he could despise him like that after all the things that God has
done for him. God punishes David by condemning his house and wives, and then tells him his child he
had with Bathsheba will die. David confesses, I have sinned against the Lord , and Nathan tells David,
now the Lord has put away your sin; you shall not die . In Arnold s Commentary it says because of
Yahweh s nature, sin has a limited life span, but love lasts forever. This is translated as having
consequences for sins, being forgiven for them and no matter what always being loved by God
because God s love is eternal. I think in that day and age one couldn t just be forgiven for one s sins
but also have to make amends for them. There are debates on whether there is a punishment for one s
sins and unfortunately this intention or idea doesn t make a lot of sense to us today because of our law
and commandments. Some scholars think that the overall sequence and series of struggle that David
deals with later on is part of the divine punishment. This would make a lot of sense that the death of
David and Bathsheba s child was because of the adultery that David had committed. The punishment
of David s house would also make sense and have to do with David getting Uriah killed intentionally.
These events were the outcome of David s sins. When reading the scripture and commentaries, we
should see this as the overall punishment of God. One wouldn t second guess the judgment of the Lord
but there are moments where actions can be called upon for

German Expressionism and Dadaism
German Expressionism and Dadaism Introduction Revolutionary forms of art have dominated much
of Germany, apparently as a reaction to the First World War. The era in which the First World War
took place throughout the 1910s, featured artists coming together against what they think the pointless
aggression said major conflict brought. German artists, in particular, protested against the social
structures prevalent during the 1910s, within which the social structures of the Second Reich were
prevalent. German society initially saw film, in particular, as quite an inelegant alternative to the
bourgeoisie associated theater. Such is due to the inability of the domestic film industry in Germany to
develop films due to two reasons the mass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wiene, Janowitz and Mayer portrayed through The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari their notion that the
German war effort that time was a highly grotesque one complete with mind controlling propaganda
and objections against dying in the name of German imperial dominance, with the intent to shock
audiences with the highly macabre features of the film. In contrast to the propaganda promotion
agenda of Germany during the 1910s, which stood as the reason for banning foreign film importation
in the nation, The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari serves as a groundbreaking example of Expressionism
that time a complete opposite of German government propaganda due to its shockingly subjective anti
government message (Kellner 3 39; Kracauer 61 76; Wiene). Ironically, however, Siegfried Kracauer
noted that the narrative frame in The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari was an undermining factor to the
expressionist nature of the film. Such is perhaps due to the ascendancy of the fear and anxiety factor
imbued within The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, which is supposed to provoke the emotions of
audiences. After all, it is the main point of expressionist art to subject audiences to emotionally
provoking scenes, which in turn reflect the subjective views of artists. Therefore, one could note that
the narrative frame in The Cabinet of Doctor

Why Did World War 1 Happen
World War one was one of the deadliest conflicts that most of the world was involved in. There were
many reasons why Europe went from peace to war so fast. There were many alliances around the
world to balance the power of Europe. Some examples were the triple alliance and the Triple Entente.
These alliances consisted of Germany, Austro Hungary, and Italy for the Triple alliance. The Triple
Entente consisted of Great Britain, France, and Russia. There are many other reasons why World War
1 happened, many factors that are going to be in this paper that I m writing. The main one that I
believe was the immediate cause of World War 1 was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
There were many nationalist ideas running around the world. Many new countries were forming in
declining and fragmenting empires. Europe was a bomb waiting to be detonated, the only problem is,
who s going to do it. Nationalism was especially high in Serbia. They wanted a bigger nation and
wanted to form their own empire. Many countries had minority Groups in their country and the
cultures were very different than what nations had. Serbia was going to take Bosnia, but Austria
annexed them outright. That spark was later lit when the Black Hand, a terrorist Group in Serbia,
wanted independence from their mother country, Austria Hungary. ... Show more content on

The Holistic Phenomenon Of Integrity
Integrity is interpreted as a holistic phenomenon that incorporates personal characteristics, cognition,
interpersonal awareness, and practical enactment ultimately relating to matters society deems
worthwhile. This approach enables integrity to be understood as both a personal morality and a social
morality (Cleary and Horsfall, 2013). Integrity is about telling the truth always. It is about doing the
right thing even when it can cost you everything. It is also the rules people should follow. It is viewed
as an important component of professional nursing and a core value for nurses. I remember one day
when my integrity was being challenged. I went to a bank to withdraw some money. The teller gave
$300 more than the amount I intended to withdraw.

Tree Ecology In Battle Park
Marianna Jones
Tree ecology on two slopes in Battle Park
Introduction
Forest communities like Battle Park have different environmental factors within their area. On
different slopes, depending on the direction it is facing, the soil and area could be wetter or drier. This
study is looking to see if the north facing and south facing sites have differences in basal area, density,
species richness, and diversity. Also, there may be some similarities in the area since both are from the
same park.
Much of the forest in Battle Park predates European settlement that occurred in the area around 1740
(North Carolina Botanical Garden 2014). Battle Park is a forest of continuity which means that it is a
good representation of an old growth forest (Vandermast, personal communication). It has some
invasive species, but many of the large trees growing there have remained untouched. The area was
never cut down for human use, but some of the fallen logs were used for firewood (Vandermast,
personal communication). Much of the other areas in the piedmont have had significant changes in the
forest cover, changes in species, and mortality. The forest cover is steadily decreasing at a 7% rate
while the mortality of trees ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

number of species found. Abundance of each species is used to find the Shannon diversity index. The
Sorensen similarity index compares the areas based on the number of the same species. Also, different
species were looked at to find the relative basal area, relative density, and importance value of the
trees. There were differences and similarities in both

It is noticed how one s intrapersonal communication can impact their interpersonal communication.
This can be experienced throughout many aspects and specific examples of ones self communication
and communication with others, which can be expressed through experiences in lab seminar as well as
personal experiences. Firstly, this is seen throughout my own self as I compare myself to others, and
feel as if I am always the inferior. Secondly, my ability to grow from a closed off, shy individual to a

experienced by another person, (p. 126). With this being said, when someone cries, I begin to feel my
eyes start to well up with tears. This is something that has always been a part of me since I was a
young child. In comparison, when relating to my lab seminar group, I know I need to work on my
listening skills as well as maintaining eye contact while listening. I find myself getting distracted
easily, which results in not being able to fully understand the entire meaning of the message that my
partner is communicating. I find it difficult to maintain eye contact throughout the whole

Adolf Hitler And Pol Pot
There have been many cases of mass genocide in history. One such case was Adolf Hitler was a
dictator who was leader of the Nazi party in Germany. The Nazis committed a mass genocide of the
Jewish people, and anyone else who they didn t see to be perfect . Hitler s goal was to reform
Germany into a utopian, or perfect society. Similar is a Cambodian man called Pol Pot, who also
committed a mass genocide in order to make the perfect society. He lead the communist group in
Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge using the people s fear and easily given trust. While the public s opinion
of Pol Pot and the goals and impacts of the movement is important to know about, his overall life is
more important to know about because it shaped his character which would cause the Cambodian
genocide. Pol Pot had a privileged way of growing up compared to other Cambodians, which led him
to think that he was superior to others. He was able to quickly gain power due to the people s already
bad feelings towards the previous government. With that power Pol Pot made a lot of choices that
would forever impact Cambodia, such as a mass genocide.
Pol Pot had a better time growing up in Cambodia than most, and was known for liking sports and the
arts. He was born in 1925 to a Buddhist family, and followed all of the Buddhist traditions along with
his family (Cohen,Warren). His family was rice farmers and were poor, but had rich and powerful

in the Nordic countries, Volvo started to export its products to countries with greater distance, namely
Holland, Belgium and various countries in South America. As a last step, Volvo established
subsidiaries in Finland and Norway. In the 1950s, further expansion followed. Subsidiaries were

The Divide Of The Genders
The Divide of the Genders In the past, there have been many debates about the gender gap happening
throughout school systems. Even still to this day, there are many arguments about this topic. Back
then, all there was was problems about education. Guys were more privileged than the girls were. For
the past decades, this issue has stuck around. Many argue that boys are still more privileged than girls
are. But many facts these days say otherwise. There are many people still that believe that schools are
biased towards girls. Many think, That girls are treated as the second sex in school and consequently
suffer, that boys are accorded privileges and consequently benefit, so these are usually the things many
people seem to presume. So these types of ideas have the schools being biased towards girls, which
had now, ... given rise to an array of laws and policies intended to curtail the advantages boys have
and to redress the harm done to girls (Sommers). But these statements that are being made are not
true. There are many facts that girls hardly suffer. There are now many, claims that men are now the
second sex and that boys not girls are the ones who are in serious trouble (Kimmel). Yet, in thought,
both sides of this debate are very true. That there is a crisis happening among boys. However, they are
also both wrong. Yes, there are many logical facts proving that boys are now suffering more than the
girls are. Let s begin with the evidence of crisis. The

Essay about The Right of Reigious Freedom
Religious freedom is arguably the oldest and deepest of rights embedded in the modern collection of
liberties. Religion has been historically one of the most powerful forces in shaping the morals of
humanity. According to the 1993 Project on Religion and Human rights; Religion is defined as:
Encompassing a world view or set of beliefs, along with a value system and a way of life embodying
and expressing these beliefs. They are not merely a matter of belief or doctrine, but actually constitute
an integral culture which can form personal and social identity and can influence experience and
behavior significantly. Religious persecution existed as early as the biblical and Quranic era. The
rights idea by contrast, is of comparatively ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This compelled him to rid his kingdom of the new teaching and its followers. Barely a year on the
throne, Mwanga started implementing his agenda by ordering the execution of Yusuf Rugarama, Mark
Kakumba, and Noah Serwanga the first three Christian martyrs, on January, 31, 1885. This was
followed by the murder of the Anglican Bishop James Hannington who had been dispatched as head
of Eastern Equatorial Africa, headquartered in Buganda in October 1885. Joseph M.Balikuddembe a
senior advisor to the King and a Catholic convert condemned Mwanga for ordering the Bishop s death
especially with out giving him a chance to defend him self as was customary. Mwanga in retaliation
ordered the arrest and execution of Balikuddembe on November 15, 1885 as the first Catholic martyr.
Mwanga II precipitated the show down in May 1886 by ordering the converts to choose between their
new faith, and complete obedience to his orders. Those unwilling to renounce their new faith would be
subjected to death. Courageously, the neophytes chose their faith. The execution of twenty six
Christians at Namugongo on June 3, 1886; was the climax of the campaign against the converts. To
date, 3 June is a public holiday in Uganda for commemorating the Uganda Martyrs. Else where in the

The Effects Of Malnutrition On Indi The Facts Essay
Critical Review
Child malnutrition in India The Facts
Malnutrition in India is a silent emergency (Leadership Agenda for Action, 2009) India speaks the
language of growth and progress. Malnutrition however, continues to haunt the country. India is home
to 40 percent of malnourished children in the world. Every year 2.5 million children die in India,
accounting for one in five deaths in the world. More than half of these deaths could be prevented if
children were well nourished .
Malnutrition is a serious condition in which the body does not get the right balance of nutrients and
calories needed to sustain good health and development. It has two sides undernutrition and
obesity/overweight. Undernutrition arises mainly as a result of inadequate or unbalanced diets, but is
also caused by poor nutrient absorption or a loss of nutrients due to illness (2000, Smith LC and
Haddad L). Undernutrition manifests in stunting, underweight, wasting and micronutrient deficiencies.
Micronutrients refer to vitamins and minerals. In this paper the term malnutrition refers to
undernutrition.
The prevalence of underweight children in India is among the highest in the world, and is nearly
double that of Sub Saharan Africa (2012, UNICEF). According to the National Family Health Survey
3 (2006, NFHS 3) , 42.5 per cent of children under the age of five years are underweight (low weight
for age), 48 per cent are stunted (low height for age), 19.8 per cent are wasted (low weight for

Brian Johnson s The Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club is about adolescents who face daily challenges as well as try to overcome them.
Five high school students come in for a Saturday detention, not knowing how the day would end.
Most of them have never talked to each other before. They all live completely different lives and are
all in detention for different reasons. By the end of the day, they knew lots about each other
furthermore they soon realized that they have some things in common. When asked if they would still
be friends on Monday, they remembered the clique that they belonged to and did not think it would
work out. After arguing about how the friendship would not work, they noticed that their cliques do
not matter and you can be friends with whomever you want. In this movie, depression, peer pressure,
drug use and abuse, and also some parent issues ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the adolescent stage, teens can be angrier or sadder than younger children (Chapter 16B). Teen
s emotions can change rapidly during this stage of childhood (Chapter 16B). Brian Johnson, The
Brain, shows signs depression. He seems like a mature and smart student. He also does not have a ton
of friends and seems socially awkward. As the movie goes on, you can see that he is not as perfect as
he seems. He thought that all one needed in life was to be perfect and to show others that you are
perfect, that is not the case. Another character that seemed depressed was Allison Reynolds, The
Basket Case; she is the most odd out of the group of students. She barely speaks at the beginning of
the movie and she walks into detention with her head down. She enjoys keeping everything that she
finds. Her clothing and her makeup show signs of depression, she was wearing all black. That soon
changes when Claire gives her a makeover and Andrew instantly falls for her. She seems to be a new
person by the way she was dressed and by the way to

What Is The Cause Of The Plague During The Middle Ages
During the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries, over one third of Europe s population fell victim to a
treacherous disease nicknamed The Black Death. During The Middle Ages, medicine was not
advanced enough to pinpoint exactly what was causing these tragic losses. However, it was later
discovered that the bacteria originated in rodents, transferred to fleas when they bit the rodents, and
finally reached humans through flea bites. Throughout the troublesome time period when this plague
blanketed Europe, there were a plethora of responses. The most common responses were to stay
isolated/quarantined from other people, to flee the areas where there were outbreaks, and to try and
identify causes of the plague to gain a sense of clarity.

Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary A Critical Review of Concentric Circles of Concern A Paper
Submitted to Mr. Mark Traeger In Partial Fulfillment Of the Requirements for the Course Personal
Evangelism EVAN 565 By Robert C. Stilwell, Jr. Feb. 7, 2010 Bibliographical Entry Author
Information Oscar Thompson, the original author of Concentric Circles of Concern, was a pastor for
twenty years before teaching personal evangelism at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He
also served as the president of the Oscar Thompson Evangelical Association. After being diagnosed

We should then pray for those in these relationships; specific prayers of intercession and for wisdom
for both us and them (pp. 120 123). Building bridges involves utilizing points of contact to develop a
closer and stronger relationship with others. Thompson offers several suggestions for various
occasions, such as sending cards, making phone calls, or visiting others. Showing God s love by
meeting the needs of others also helps to build these bridges. Thompson closes by addressing the
ultimate point of this book; the act of sharing Christ and helping new believers to grow spiritually,
including making disciples themselves. Evaluation Thompson presents a very convicting treatise on
the significance of relationships in the Christian witness. This book causes the reader to examine their
own relationships, as well as their lifestyle, in order to evaluate the degree of the reflection of Christ in
their incarnational witness. Through his systematic process of self examination and relational
observation, combined with intercessory prayer and discipleship ministry, Thompson offers a simple,
yet profound method of using personal relationships to share the gospel of Christ with family, friends,
coworkers, and complete strangers. He expounds on the principle that mankind is a relational being,
created to fellowship with God and other humans, to develop his approach to personal evangelism
and, equally important, follow up

Stereotypes In Being A Man By Paul Theroux
Mans Code: ¨Be where you re suppose to be, do what you re suppose to do, and do it to the best of
your ability.¨ Brian Balsmeyer. A man is defined as a provider, protector, center of many stereotypes,
as well as someone who knows their strengths and weaknesses. A man also stays loyal and honest at
all times. Being born a male doesn t qualify you to eventually become a man. The traits previously
mentioned must be acquired to give the title, a man. The first thing that defines a man are the
stereotypes they must face.
To be a man means to be constantly criticized based on how the world views that sex. Men must be
prepared to be the center of many stereotypes. Almost all stereotypes being very negative. A man is
thought of as a self centered prick whose testosterone has gone to their head, and has a competitive
love for things that don t matter, like sports. In Being a Man by Paul Theroux, he says to be a man
means, ¨to be stupid, be unfeeling, obedient, soldierly and stop thinking¨(Theroux). Men are seen to
not think about the consequences for the actions they take part in. An image of a man can be pictured
as a large male with big biceps, lots of chest hair, and when he talks, his voice is deep, making the hair
on your skin rise. This ¨man¨ is also more than likely part of a competitive group. Rebecca Walker
states the stereotype that women only like masculine, competitive men.
¨Tell him that who he is authentically is not enough; tell him that he will not be loved unless

Bilingual Vs. Ban On Bilingual Education

Bilingual Education to ban or not to ban?
When we speak about this country The United States of America we automatically think of the great
number of languages people speak in this country. Take California as an example. It is one of the
border states of America, and this state is made up mostly of immigrants. As a result, most people in
this state are either bilingual or even trilingual. In order for the immigrant students to become
integrated into this country, they must learn English, and Bilingual Education can help them assimilate
faster to this new country. Nevertheless, people continue to vote against and ban Bilingual Education
because they believe that if the student is here in America, he or she should be treated the same as the
native speakers in order to save money and for him or her to better fit in. Even though many people
criticize bilingual education, I personally am one of the supportive fans of it because Bilingual
Education allows new immigrant students to learn English at a reasonable pace, assimilate to a new
environment, maintain their academic specialties, and not to fall behind.
What is Bilingual Education? The term refers to the practice of teaching non English speaking
children in their native language, and was developed in the 1960 s; these programs were intended to
allow students to progress in science, math and social studies while they learned English in a separate
class.

Personal Narrative On Baseball
I step up to the plate. The hot lights of the Mets stadium hit my face. Clayton Kershaw was pitching.
He is the best pitcher in the MLB. The pitch comes. It was a slow hanging curveball right over the
middle. I swing will all my might. I hear the crack of the bat and I see the ball fly over the fence. I trot
around the bases and I am approaching home plate. I step on home then I wake up.
My eyes open. A crisp, cold wind blows through my my window and hits my face. The whistle of the
fall air flows through one ear and out the other. It was quiet. The sound of nothingness was fiercely
stopped by the blaring on my alarm clock. October 13, 2015, at 9:30 AM, I roll over and hit my alarm
clock, The repetitive sound disappears. I throw my sheets to the side and step onto the cold wooden
floor. I grab a pair of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

I step up to the plate and look at my coach.
Come on bud! He said to me.
I click my cleats with my bat and dig a hole in the batter s box and stair at the pitcher. The pitch comes
in slow almost in slow motion. I swing as hard as can. I hear the crack of the bat and I see the ball fly
over the fence. I can t believe it. I never thought in a million years I would ever hit a homerun. I hear
my teammates screaming. I round first, I m almost at second when the shock wears off and I realize
that I just won the game. A huge smile crosses my face as I round third and head for home. I get closer
and closer to home. I stomp on home. Then before I know it the lights go out.
I pull up in my driveway and look at the home run ball. It had a big mark right on the seams. I walk up
stairs and put it right next to my trophies. In that moment I realized you don t have to be the biggest or
the strongest to do something great. Also I realized that you should never doubt yourself and with hard

Although novels are fictional, staying close to what is real can make your story more believable, and
the more believable it is, the more that readers can relate to it. If you are doing an out of this world
novel about magic, you may not be able to make it as realistic as possible but at least you have to be
consistent with the characters that you make and make it believable as well. Making nonexistent

The Perception Of Sharks In The Film Jaws
The movie Jaws played a big role in the perception of how people look at sharks, Because they
showed the evil that sharks can do. When in reality, there s only 19 shark attacks each year and 2
fatality s every 2 years. The media portrays sharks as some evil demon like fish that once it see
anything it will eat it such as a boat, adults, kids, etc. Movies have depicted sharks by presenting
sharks in a evil in bad way that makes people think that because they have a lot of teeth in a big mouth
that they can just eat everything as it pleases. When in reality, the reason people get attacked by sharks
is because the way it looks to a shark underneath the water from below when someone is on a

Tsavorite Garnet History
Tsavorite garnets are shiny green young gemstones with a reasonably long geological history. They
were first discovered in 1967 by a British geologist named Campbell R. Bridges in the north east of
Tanzania Mountains. Bridges came across strange bumps of rock and inside these objects were found
to be some green grains and crystal fragments. Once gemmological examinations had been done on
the rock, Bridge realised that he had discovered a green grossularite, which is a known mineral
belonging to the garnet gemstone group. Tsavorite garnets are beautiful bright green coloured gems
with such clear transparency. After its discovery companies like Tiffany Co in New York became
interested in the gemstones. However at the time it was very difficult

Research Paper On Airport Interview
The location of the interview was in the boardroom of the Hector International Airport. The attendees
of the meeting were Kaitlyn Anderson, Stacie Tjon Bossart, Corey Quinton and Jim Koehler. Kaitlyn
is the daughter of Darren Anderson, who was the driver of the airport s Chevrolet Traverse, the subject
vehicle that was involved in the accident. Kaitlyn appeared at the interview wearing a sweat suit. She
is 18 years old and a freshman at studying pharmaceutical medicine at North Dakota State University.
She lives at home with her parents and her younger sister. She made a nice appearance during the
interview and was able to keep composed during most of the meeting. Overall, she will make an above
average witness.
Kaitlyn was in the vehicle with Darren Anderson at the time of the accident because he was excited
about the construction project going on that involved the runway and wanted to bring her out to see
the project. They arrived at the airport at approximately 11:00 PM on July 30, 2017. They walked
through the administration section of the airport and then got into the airport s Chevy Traverse.
Kaitlyn reported that the Traverse is equipped with amber warning lights on the top; however, she was
not certain if the lights were activated at any time that night.
Kaitlyn and her father drove out onto Runway 18 36, which was closed due to the construction and a
restriping project, and they parked near the intersection of Runway 18 36 and Runway 9 27. Her dad
got out of the vehicle and had a conversation with Henry Swedberg, from the airport, and another
gentleman also from the airport, regarding the work that was ongoing that night. Kaitlyn got out of the
vehicle to say hello to Henry and then both she and her dad got into the vehicle to escort the painting
truck down the middle of Runway 18 36. (Escort vehicles, which are in radio contact with the tower,
must accompany all non airport vehicles on the runways.)
West River Striping was repainting the center line of Runway 18 36 from taxiway C through the south
end of the runway. After they escorted the large painting truck to the south end of Runway 18 36,
Darren Anderson indicated that they needed to go back to the intersection of Runway

Chemistry Lab And Organic Chemistry After a harsh Wednesday due to Chemistry Lab and Organic Chemistry, I enjoy sitting in the patio area of Cafe 1919 and enjoy a Panini along with a Caprese salad. One day as I was enjoying my usual Wednesday lunch, I wonder what gave these little morsels such a juicy taste. Perhaps UCLA does but the best fruit and vegetables for their students, perhaps the oil the tomatoes bathe in give it its rich taste, or perhaps we have those hidden GMO, gentically modified organisms, that people argue over its stability. I search if there is any known gentically altered tomatoes and the search engine directed me to links that talk about a product known as the Flavr Savr. Interesting enough the product known as the Flavr Savr, which is a gentically altered tomato is actually the first FDA approved GMO to hit to the market. After discovering the first ever GMO my curious mind started asking questions that I needed to know. I wonder what exactly is the Flavr Sav? When was it created? Who created it and how? Most specifically, according to the fundamentals of this regulation, any individual who can afford a health insurance policy, but chooses not to do so, will have to pay a fine. Prior to the existence of the individual mandate, health insurance companies had the choice to reject people with health conditions that would potentially incur high costs. Under this provision, all Americans benefit a coverage plan regardless of their health Status. When healthcare companies are legally obligated to accept policy holders with any situation, every single American has the obligation to enroll in a healthcare plan. There is a whole culture set around birth control, the media affects an individual s thoughts, and conflict theory can also affect people s views on contraception. Culture and society have many factors from a social perspective. They consist of objectives, beliefs, behaviors, and any other common traits between a group of people. Of course, culture is not fixed. People are free to choose and change their minds as time passes by. American culture from today is vastly different from 100 years ago. Some of the changes are due to the advancement of technology and new inventions. Birth control is one invention to have an effect on culture. Many people condemn the usage of any form of birth control. Birth control includes hormonal methods, barrier methods, and natural methods. A symbol of maturity can be seen in these methods of contraception. For example, for a teenager boy to receive a condom (barrier method) from his father before going on a date symbolizes the boy ending his childhood and entering adulthood. Also, the condom to the boy symbolizes the trust the father has given to his son. The father believes that his son will be responsible and fully trusts in him to make the right decision. David is used as an example in these chapters as someone who falls short of temptation while being highly favored by God. David was doing everything right and was rewarded for it. David was granted everything he could possibly want and it was well deserved from his good intentions and morals. When David all of a sudden sees a beautiful woman bathing, he feels like he can justify himself as someone who is deserving of her knowing that she is married to a friend and soldier. God favors David greatly and it is obvious in the Old Testament especially in Acts 13:22 when He says that David is a man after my own heart . It is amazing to see God love, forgive and care for someone you has committed such harsh sins as David. After the parable, God continues to speak through Nathan by asking David how he could despise him like that after all the things that God has done for him. God punishes David by condemning his house and wives, and then tells him his child he had with Bathsheba will die. David confesses, I have sinned against the Lord , and Nathan tells David, now the Lord has put away your sin; you shall not die . In Arnold s Commentary it says because of Yahweh s nature, sin has a limited life span, but love lasts forever. This is translated as having consequences for sins, being forgiven for them and no matter what always being loved by God because God s love is eternal. I think in that day and age one couldn t just be forgiven for one s sins but also have to make amends for them. There are debates on whether there is a punishment for one s sins and unfortunately this intention or idea doesn t make a lot of sense to us today because of our law and commandments. Some scholars think that the overall sequence and series of struggle that David deals with later on is part of the divine punishment. This would make a lot of sense that the death of David and Bathsheba s child was because of the adultery that David had committed. The punishment of David s house would also make sense and have to do with David getting Uriah killed intentionally. These events were the outcome of David s sins. When reading the scripture and commentaries, we should see this as the overall punishment of God. The era in which the First World War took place throughout the 1910s, featured artists coming together against what they think the pointless aggression said major conflict brought. German artists, in particular, protested against the social structures prevalent during the 1910s, within which the social structures of the Second Reich were prevalent. German society initially saw film, in particular, as quite an inelegant alternative to the bourgeoisie associated theater. Wiene, Janowitz and Mayer portrayed through The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari their notion that the German war effort that time was a highly grotesque one complete with mind controlling propaganda and objections against dying in the name of German imperial dominance, with the intent to shock audiences with the highly macabre features of the film. In contrast to the propaganda promotion agenda of Germany during the 1910s, which stood as the reason for banning foreign film importation in the nation, The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari serves as a groundbreaking example of Expressionism that time a complete opposite of German government propaganda due to its shockingly subjective anti government message (Kellner 3 39; Kracauer 61 76; Wiene). Ironically, however, Siegfried Kracauer noted that the narrative frame in The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari was an undermining factor to the expressionist nature of the film. Such is perhaps due to the ascendancy of the fear and anxiety factor imbued within The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, which is supposed to provoke the emotions of audiences. After all, it is the main point of expressionist art to subject audiences to emotionally provoking scenes, which in turn reflect the subjective views of artists. On different slopes, depending on the direction it is facing, the soil and area could be wetter or drier. The Nazis committed a mass genocide of the Jewish people, and anyone else who they didn t see to be perfect . Hitler s goal was to reform Germany into a utopian, or perfect society. Similar is a Cambodian man called Pol Pot, who also committed a mass genocide in order to make the perfect society. He lead the communist group in Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge using the people s fear and easily given trust. While the public s opinion of Pol Pot and the goals and impacts of the movement is important to know about, his overall life is more important to know about because it shaped his character which would cause the Cambodian genocide. Pol Pot had a privileged way of growing up compared to other Cambodians, which led him to think that he was superior to others. He was able to quickly gain power due to the people s already bad feelings towards the previous government. This compelled him to rid his kingdom of the new teaching and its followers. Barely a year on the throne, Mwanga started implementing his agenda by ordering the execution of Yusuf Rugarama, Mark Kakumba, and Noah Serwanga the first three Christian martyrs, on January, 31, 1885. This was followed by the murder of the Anglican Bishop James Hannington who had been dispatched as head of Eastern Equatorial Africa, headquartered in Buganda in October 1885. Joseph M.Balikuddembe a senior advisor to the King and a Catholic convert condemned Mwanga for ordering the Bishop s death especially with out giving him a chance to defend him self as was customary. Mwanga in retaliation ordered the arrest and execution of Balikuddembe on November 15, 1885 as the first Catholic martyr. Mwanga II precipitated the show down in May 1886 by ordering the converts to choose between their new faith, and complete obedience to his orders. Those unwilling to renounce their new faith would be subjected to death. Courageously, the neophytes chose their faith. • 23. The Effects Of Malnutrition On Indi The Facts Essay Critical Review Child malnutrition in India The Facts Malnutrition in India is a silent emergency (Leadership Agenda for Action, 2009) India speaks the language of growth and progress. Malnutrition however, continues to haunt the country. India is home to 40 percent of malnourished children in the world. Every year 2.5 million children die in India, accounting for one in five deaths in the world. More than half of these deaths could be prevented if children were well nourished . Malnutrition is a serious condition in which the body does not get the right balance of nutrients and calories needed to sustain good health and development. It has two sides undernutrition and obesity/overweight. Undernutrition arises mainly as a result of inadequate or unbalanced diets, but is also caused by poor nutrient absorption or a loss of nutrients due to illness (2000, Smith LC and Haddad L). Undernutrition manifests in stunting, underweight, wasting and micronutrient deficiencies. Micronutrients refer to vitamins and minerals. In this paper the term malnutrition refers to undernutrition. The prevalence of underweight children in India is among the highest in the world, and is nearly double that of Sub Saharan Africa (2012, UNICEF). According to the National Family Health Survey 3 (2006, NFHS 3) , 42.5 per cent of children under the age of five years are underweight (low weight for age), 48 per cent are stunted (low height for age), 19.8 per cent are wasted (low weight for ... Brian Johnson, The Brain, shows signs depression. He seems like a mature and smart student. He also does not have a ton of friends and seems socially awkward. As the movie goes on, you can see that he is not as perfect as he seems. He thought that all one needed in life was to be perfect and to show others that you are perfect, that is not the case. Another character that seemed depressed was Allison Reynolds, The Basket Case; she is the most odd out of the group of students. She barely speaks at the beginning of the movie and she walks into detention with her head down. She enjoys keeping everything that she finds. • 25. What Is The Cause Of The Plague During The Middle Ages During the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries, over one third of Europe s population fell victim to a treacherous disease nicknamed The Black Death. During The Middle Ages, medicine was not advanced enough to pinpoint exactly what was causing these tragic losses. However, it was later discovered that the bacteria originated in rodents, transferred to fleas when they bit the rodents, and finally reached humans through flea bites. Throughout the troublesome time period when this plague blanketed Europe, there were a plethora of responses. The most common responses were to stay isolated/quarantined from other people, to flee the areas where there were outbreaks, and to try and identify causes of the plague to gain a sense of clarity. Thompson closes by addressing the ultimate point of this book; the act of sharing Christ and helping new believers to grow spiritually, including making disciples themselves. Evaluation Thompson presents a very convicting treatise on the significance of relationships in the Christian witness. This book causes the reader to examine their own relationships, as well as their lifestyle, in order to evaluate the degree of the reflection of Christ in their incarnational witness. • 27. Stereotypes In Being A Man By Paul Theroux Mans Code: ¨Be where you re suppose to be, do what you re suppose to do, and do it to the best of your ability.¨ Brian Balsmeyer. A man is defined as a provider, protector, center of many stereotypes, as well as someone who knows their strengths and weaknesses. A man also stays loyal and honest at all times. Being born a male doesn t qualify you to eventually become a man. The traits previously mentioned must be acquired to give the title, a man. The first thing that defines a man are the stereotypes they must face. To be a man means to be constantly criticized based on how the world views that sex. Men must be prepared to be the center of many stereotypes. Almost all stereotypes being very negative. A man is thought of as a self centered prick whose testosterone has gone to their head, and has a competitive love for things that don t matter, like sports. In Being a Man by Paul Theroux, he says to be a man means, ¨to be stupid, be unfeeling, obedient, soldierly and stop thinking¨(Theroux). Men are seen to not think about the consequences for the actions they take part in. An image of a man can be pictured as a large male with big biceps, lots of chest hair, and when he talks, his voice is deep, making the hair on your skin rise. This ¨man¨ is also more than likely part of a competitive group. Rebecca Walker states the stereotype that women only like masculine, competitive men. ¨Tell him that who he is authentically is not enough; tell him that he will not be loved unless ... When we speak about this country The United States of America we automatically think of the great number of languages people speak in this country. Take California as an example. It is one of the border states of America, and this state is made up mostly of immigrants. As a result, most people in this state are either bilingual or even trilingual. In order for the immigrant students to become integrated into this country, they must learn English, and Bilingual Education can help them assimilate faster to this new country. Nevertheless, people continue to vote against and ban Bilingual Education because they believe that if the student is here in America, he or she should be treated the same as the native speakers in order to save money and for him or her to better fit in. Even though many people criticize bilingual education, I personally am one of the supportive fans of it because Bilingual Education allows new immigrant students to learn English at a reasonable pace, assimilate to a new environment, maintain their academic specialties, and not to fall behind. What is Bilingual Education? The term refers to the practice of teaching non English speaking children in their native language, and was developed in the 1960 s; these programs were intended to allow students to progress in science, math and social studies while they learned English in a separate class. ... Kaitlyn is the daughter of Darren Anderson, who was the driver of the airport s Chevrolet Traverse, the subject vehicle that was involved in the accident. Kaitlyn reported that the Traverse is equipped with amber warning lights on the top; however, she was not certain if the lights were activated at any time that night. Kaitlyn and her father drove out onto Runway 18 36, which was closed due to the construction and a restriping project, and they parked near the intersection of Runway 18 36 and Runway 9 27. Her dad got out of the vehicle and had a conversation with Henry Swedberg, from the airport, and another gentleman also from the airport, regarding the work that was ongoing that night.
