How Rap Has Changed My Life Essay
Hip hop has literally changed my life Eazy E. From Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, and older
artist like 2Pac, to newer rappers like Lil Pump, 21 Savage, and Future. Any type of music tells
its stories but not the way rap has. The older rap era is known to be considered 1984 1999. The
mid era of rap is known to be from 2000 2014. And then after 2015 to now is considered the
modern era. Rap has changed in so many ways, and nobody knows whether it is good or bad.
Older rap comes from many generations of hip hop artist. Infact, there are more rappers than
people think there are. Rap starting in the 1970 s, about 47 years ago. DJ Kool Herc, the first
artist known to rap, was also the first DJ for hip hop too. When rap started, it was not the most
popular. It took some time to get around, but once it did, people loved it. Later, in the older rap
era, rap got even more popular with 2pac, Biggie Smalls, NWA, Ice Cube, and other rappers like

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Essay
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The carpal tunnel is a passageway that runs from the forearm through the wrist. Bones form three
walls of the tunnel and a strong, broad ligament bridges over them. The median nerve, which
supplies feeling to the thumb, index (4th digit), and ring fingers (3rd digit), and the nine tendons
that flex the fingers, passes through this tunnel. This nerve, also, provides function for the muscles
at the base of the thumb (the Thenar muscles). Usually, carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) is considered
an inflammatory disorder caused by repetitive stress, physical injury, or medical conditions that
cause the tissues around the median nerve to become swollen. The protective lining of the tendons
within the carpal tunnel can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such conditions are known contributors to CTS. It is most likely that many cases of CTS occur
from a combination of factors, including a predisposing medical condition exacerbated by work
stress and psychological and social stressers. In many patients with CTS, an underlying cause
for the disorder cannot be discovered. Disorders related to work that requires repetitive motion
are increasing. They account for nearly half of all reported work related illness, and CTS is
estimated to account for over 41% of these repetitive motion disorders. Researchers have defined
six key risk factors in the workplace for the development of these disorders, including CTS: (1)
repetition, (2) high force, (3) awkward joint posture, (4) direct pressure, (5) vibration, and (6)
prolonged constrained posture. Through many of the studies I have read, many believe that
incorrect posture may play a large role in the development of CTS, particularly in people who
work at computer and other types of keyboards. The tendency to roll the shoulders forward, round
the lower back, and thrust the chin forward can shorten the neck and shoulder muscles compressing
nerves in the neck. This can affect the wrist, fingers, and hand. It has been difficult to obtain reliable
data on the relation between repetitive hand and wrist tasks and CTS. Studies indicate that

Augustine Of Hippo And St. Augustine s Views Of A Single God
Introduction
Many parallels have been drawn between the ancient philosophy known as stoicism and early
Christian thought. They both believe that what ultimately matters in a person is internal, and that
man should not preoccupy himself with earthly belongings. They are both highly individual, and
believe that there is one divine force that is ruling the universe.
And yet, in spite of some essential similarities, there are aspects where the two philosophies
greatly diverge. A peculiar fact is that, although they both seem to have a similar perception of
divinity, their views on the appropriate way to die could hardly be more different. Because death
is a concept indisputably related to faith and conceptions of life after death, and taking into account
the fact that both philosophies can be said to believe in a single God, examining how their beliefs
about afterlife differ may help in understanding why their views on ... Show more content on

That is why the relation of the two has been such an intriguing topic of analysis in both
philosophical and literary contexts.
In the later part of this essay, the work of Augustine of Hippo(or Saint Augustine) will be
discussed. Augustine is considered as one of the most influential Church Fathers, who developed
classical Christian philosophy with his works, in which he drew from Stoic principles, as well as
from Plato and other Hellenistic thinkers.
In De Civitate Dei (The City of God), he addressed issues such as the existence of evil, free will
and the original sin. This and several more of his writings are said to be fundamental for the
formation of Western philosophy, which further adds to the necessity of analyzing the impacts on
his work.

Native American Themes In Louise Erdrich s Antelope Wife
Louise Erdrich is a Native American author from Little Falls, Minnesota. Her mother is a Chippewa
Indian and her father is German American. Through her writing, she demonstrates native ideas and
culture. Native American themes are often present in her works. She shines a light on both
perspectives of her background. Some of her works mention reservations in Minnesotaand North
Dakotawhich connects to her birthplace and where she grew up. Erdrich did not really look into
her native heritage until she went to Dartmouth and they had just opened the Native American
department. She delved more into the subject and started to use it in her writing. Erdrich gives
readers, whether or not they are Native American or not, a look at Native American culture from
the eyes of both natives and others in society. This theme is present in many of her works
including: Antelope Wife and Future Home of a Living God. Antelope Wife is a short story by
Louise Erdrich. Antelope Wife is about a Native American man belonging to the Chippewa tribe
in Minnesota who is a teacher. One day he laid his eyes on four women: three daughters and
their mother. He was determined to have the mother and he ends up kidnapping her. He gets her
(the antelope) to fall in love with her, but he was warned by Jimmy Badger that these women are
generally curse the men who go after them. Towards the end of the story, she becomes overweight
and ugly and the man did not expect this to happen to him. There is already a connection to native
culture in the title of this short story, Antelope . Antelope is a spirit animal in the native heritage.
Antelope symbolizes being on the movie and action oriented. Deep in the fields of tall golden
grasses in the desert the Antelope thrives, ever watchful and discerning ready to move in an
instant. The Antelope perceives subtle body movements and signals from the other members of the
herd. When danger is near they move as one, quickly and confidently with finesse and confidence,
their maneuverability allows them to disappear into the vast expanse of wilderness with no more
than a moments notice. (Universe of Symbolism, Antelope). This symbolism is referred to towards
the end of the poem by Jimmy Badger. If you see one

Compare And Contrast Machiavelli And Tupac

Dr. S. Hankerson
Tupac (Makaveli) vs. Niccolo Machiavelli Humanism is an outlook or system of thought attaching
prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the
potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely
rational ways of solving human problems. Niccolo Machiavelli was a 16th century political
philosopher, poet, playwright and historian during the renaissance period. He wrote The Prince
which was a political book about monarchal and survival. One of the purposes of the book was to
give advice to new tyrants and others who wanted to gain and maintain power. One of the things
that he discusses is skill and luck or virtГє. He mentions in chapter six that a prudent man will
always try to follow in the footsteps of great men and imitate those who have been truly
outstanding, so that if he is not skillful as they, at least some of their ability may rub off on him .
I can only imagine Tupac reading those words and thinking that while he is a skilled rapper, he
wants to be able to maintain power and get better.

New Atlantis Salomon s House Summary
On page 58 of New Atlantis Salomon s House is described as an institution, dedicated to the
study of the works and creatures of God. The purpose of the society is to discover and explore
the true nature of all things. This is accomplished through the ordinance by which ships are sent
out on voyages from the island. These ships sail to other countries collecting new knowledge of
science, art, and manufacturing. Therefore, according to the priest, Salomon s House functions as
a center of trade, not of commodities, but of knowledge of God and his creation. Later in the
work, on page 71, the ends of Salomon s House are stated as being, the knowledge of Causes, and

consist with a number of test including a physical exam and questions regarding your family
history of strokes, any signs or symptoms that may have been present before the patient had the

The Tulsa race riot of 1921 was a dark time in the history of Oklahoma. It all began with a simple
misunderstanding, but had catastrophic consequences. Homes and businesses were destroyed,
many African Americans and whites were killed, and Tulsa had lost its soul. In the beginning

reign of terror against African Americans during the period from 1917 to 1923. As Mr. Patrick
stated this was probably one of the worst if not the worst domestic act violence. Even today
people do not have the knowledge or refuse to believe what happened that day in 1921. The
official death toll was 35(Patrick, 1999) but it is believed that many more hundreds were killed,
because many bodies were dumped into the river of coal mines or burned (Patrick, 1999). Here are
other numbers that Mr. Patrick writes in his article, 1500 African Americanhomes destroyed, 600
businesses destroyed, 21 churches, 21 restaurants, 30 stores, 2 movie theaters, a hospital, a bank,
a post office, libraries, and schools. It takes people with an exponential amount of hate in their

Essay on Merloni Business Analysis
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Merloni Company was created in 1930 by Aristide Merloni. After the Second World War Merloni
started to expand their range of products, and in the 60s and 70s Merloni was already the biggest
producer of high quality domestic appliances, operating in both, Italy and Europe.
At some point in the 70s, the company became Merloni Group formed by four subsidiaries.
Merloni Progetti for industrial projects; Merloni Igienico Sanitari for bath and heating products;
Merloni Casa for built in kitchen and bath furniture; and Merloni Electtrodomestici for domestic
appliances. The latter is the subsidiary with the biggest percentage of consolidated sales.

This phenomenon is called batching orders and it is one of the causes of the Bullwhip effect.
Another problem identified was that, sales and storage responsibilities were not clearly split. In
fact, it was up to the warehouse manager to deal with the customer once a sale had been made.
Thus, instead of managing the warehouse, they were occupied with client complaints.
In spite of all this model disadvantages, it has some advantages as well. On one hand, the existence
of inventories allows an easier response to fluctuations in demand. Thus, when for some reason,
there is no replenishment the demand is still satisfied. On the other hand, comparing to the Transit
Point, this system has lower transportation costs (Exhibit 6).
COSTS AND BENEFITS OF THE TRANSIT POINT SYSTEM
The transit point system came with the necessity of creating an alternative mean of serving the
Milano customers, while the warehouse was occupied with the Built in appliance exposition. This
system was also an opportunity to check the feasibility of a system with no need of holding
inventory.
The guide lines of this approach were very simple. It established that the regional warehouses
should be eliminated in order to reduce inventory to zero. However, that place would be used like
an exchanged spot , which means that the trucks were filled up in the central warehouse and
unloaded to small local trucks that would deliver the

Are Environmental Factors, Genetic Patterns, Or Previous
Are environmental factors, genetic patterns, or previous experiences responsible for every single
action people commit in life? Why bothering in telling the truth to others when everything is
justified by a certain response to some kind of stimuli? Many philosophers and psychologists
around the world have been studying the human behaviorfor several years. Most of them have
agreed on the way people react to things in life such as love, hate, truth, and lies. As a matter of
fact, various theories have been developed when it comes to justify human behavior. These theories
happen to explain the relationship between the body and mind of human beings from different
perspectives. Just to mention one, we have Behaviorism. Behaviorism, ethics, and... Show more

So, what kind of human behavior that is?
Ethics, on the other hand, also defined as moral philosophy, encloses the meaning of what is
wrong and right in life. Questions arise from this term such as what s the best way for me to go
through this situation? How can I end up being the least damaged? What s the best way for me
to live in this world without being hurt? If I lie, only this time, would it be wrong or right?
Everything goes around one self. Then, we have the term psychological egoism where every
person is being motivated by self interest and well being, without caring about others. Therefore,
lying to others in order to achieve a certain benefit becomes a self ethical psychological egoism,
in other words, if I m going to be fine and won t get hurt after lying, then it s right for me to do it
no matter what the consequences will be. Philosophers like Kant condemned any kind of lying.
They use to say that lying, even if it was the only way possible to save oneself from some
situation, was never ethically permissible. How right is it to be admitted in a hospital almost
dying from some kind of unknown condition and lie about anything in your daily life that can be
relevant to your doctor in order to diagnose what you have going on inside you? Why would you
lie to your mother when something went wrong and you could not do things the way she told you
to? Why to lie about pregnancy if it s not illegal? What to lie about sex if you re

The Scientific Theory Of Science And Technology
Science and technology is important to society and is often used in our everyday lives. We often
have no idea how science and technology really affect us. We work and live in a world driven by
technology and science. Science is crucial because it has helped form the world that we live in
today. Charles Robert Darwin was an English geologist and naturalist, best known for his significant
addition to the science of evolution. He had a theory that all species have inherited traits over time
from common ancestors, and in a partnership with Alfred Russel Wallace introduced his scientific
theory that this pattern of evolution resulted from an action that he called natural selection, in which

Captain Robert FitzRoy. The voyage would prove the opportunity of a lifetime for the Charles
Robert Darwin.
The HMS Beagle set out on its voyage far and wide with Darwin on board on December 27, 1813.
Over the course of the excursion, Darwin recovered an assortment of characteristic examples,
including fossils, birds, and plants. Through extreme research, he had an exceptional opportunity to
watch the standards of topography, zoology, and natural science nearly. South America, The
Galapagos Archipelago, and The Pacific Island were of sure enthusiasm to Darwin. Charles Darwin
started to review his discoveries in the Diary of Examines, distributed as a component of Chief
FitzRoy s bigger report and later altered into the Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle, once
Darwin came back to Britain in 1836. The voyage enormously affected Darwin s perspective of
common history. He started to grow a significant hypothesis about the start of living creatures that
was inverse to the famous perspective of different naturalists at once.
Darwin s involvement with examples across the world brought up vital issues. Different
researchers trusted that all species either appeared toward the beginning of the world, or were made
after some time in natural history. In either case, the species were accepted to stay much the same
all through time. Darwin, saw similitudes among species

Public Eye on Sexual Offenders Essay example
Public Eye on Sexual Offenders In preparing for this essay it has been identified that sexual
offenders are not a homogenous group of individuals and that this is an umbrella term used to
describe a range of behaviours ranging from acts of voyeurism and exhibitionism, to more serious
acts of pedophilia and rape. For the purpose of this essay I have chosen to focus on the more
serious forms of sex offending which in my opinion, are the cause of much of the current attention.
In order to understand why sexual offenders attract so much attention I will begin by considering
today s society and the emergence of post modernist values and the preoccupation with risk. I shall
then go on to consider... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was during the period of modernity which stems back to the 18th century, that notions of
tradition, feudalism and superstition began to be replaced by reasoning, science and
exploration. There was a move away from harsh penal conditions and a move towards reforming
individuals. It was during this period of modernity that there existed societal consensus and a
general air of optimism which generated high levels of trust and respect for people in authority.
During the mid 1980s post modernism emerged as an area of academic study, and it is this
which currently describes today s developed world. Attempts have been made to chart the shift
from modernism to post modernism, however this is largely attributed to the work of Ulrich
Beck and what he describes as the emergence of a risk society (Beck 1986). Beck argued that the
public are constantly being confronted with socially created risks which endanger survival (Beck
1986, p32). He saw one of these being globalisation, whereby communication is now effortless,
thus increasing the risk of messages being distorted and information saturated which hence has the
potential to perturb (Beck, 1986). Another was the creation of moral panics, first introduced by
Stanley Cohen in his book Folk Devils and Moral Panics in 1972. He identified a

Fuel Injection Is A Mandatory Part Of The Combustion Process
Fuel injection is a mandatory part of the combustion process. The chemical energy provided by the
fuel allows the engine to transmit power for a myriad of uses in the marine industry including
power and propulsion or a combination of the both. The results of combustion include heat and
exhaust gases. These exhaust gases, in addition to cost, make fuel injectionsystems more important
today than ever. The International Maritime Organization s Marine Pollution Prevention annex VI
has established new regulations for nitric oxides, and sulfur oxide emissions which are the by
products of fuel combustion. Electronic fuel injection systems play a important role in the
reduction of these emissions by improving the efficiency of fuel combustion.
The main function of the fuel oil injection system is to provide the right amount of fuel at the
right time. In order for fuel injection systems to work, there must be a means of measuring the
fuel supply and a way to time the delivery and atomization of the fuel. This paper was completed
in order to examine and compare two types of electronically controlled fuel injection systems,
mechanically driven injection and electronic injection. The two types of systems we researched
were the Sulzer RTA Series and the Sulzer RT Flex.

Hemineglect
Hemineglect also known as unilateral spatial neglect, hemispatial neglect, hemi inattention,
hemisensory, parietal neglect or spatial neglect (Kerkhoff, 2000), is a condition in which patients
are unable to attend and respond to the contralesional side of space (Dijkerman, Webling, ter Wal,
Groet, van Zandvoort, 2003). Hemineglect is characterized by the lack of spatial awareness, most
commonly on the left hemispace (Parton Malhotra Husain, 2004). The most common form of

PA is considered to be a restitutional treatment approach as it facilitates the mechanisms of
recovery. In theory its main aim is to attempt to alter the damaged function within the brain, that
allow for visual attention. Prism Adaptation is a treatment introduced under the theoretical account
of a representational model of hemineglect. A representational model of hemineglect is a model
in which suggests that there certain brain functions that control both visual imaging and
perception (Ogden, 2005). A representational model takes into account that the spatial
representation of the patients contralesional side of space is damaged or distorted (Pouget,
Sejnowski, 2001). There is damage to the way in which the patient internalizes a map of space in
relation to where they are and what is around them (Tilikete, et al., 2001). The method of prism
adaptation is relatively simple. Although you cannot control all the confounding variables, that
underlie each individual patient, there is a standard framework of how prism adaptation occurs.
A procedure for a PA treatment begins with a pre test, to establish a baseline performance; then
an active exposure to prismatic goggles to produce an adaptation in vision; and then lastly a post
test to see if there is any after adaptation persistent after using the goggles (Redding et al, 2005).
An example of a PA treatment is through the works of Rossetti et al. (1998). Rossetti and his team

Explain The Roles And Differences Between Consumer And...
1.Differentiate between mechanized, semi automated, automated, and information directed
handling systems. The mechanized type handling system, is a combination through labor and
equipment handling that utilizes the help from facilities processing, receiving, and shipping.
Although a high percentage of overall cost is associated with this type of labor system. Also, with
having to use a high amount of human labor workers, there is more use of forklifts and carousels.
Where when using an automated system, there would be a cut in labor costs due to the use of
automated equipment that can accomplish the job that man power is being used to accomplish. A
lot of these costs can be pretty expensive up front, but in the long run they end up paying
themselves off. When a mix of both are used though, it s called semi automated. Which can in turn
help increase efficiency. But at the same time, using completely automated systems can help reduce
in any forms of error in sorting processes. Within semi automated systems, there is the final form of
information directed handling. This system uses information technology to help direct mechanized
or any automated equipment. 2.Explain the roles and differences between consumer and industrial
focused packaging. The roles and differences between consumer and industrial focused packaging
are pretty up to point. The consumer packaging is primarily focused on product and marketing
rather than focusing on getting the product to its destination

Privatization Of The NHS
NHS PRIVATIZATION
INTRODUCTION
In the post war reconstruction, due to squalors and diseases. The National Health Service (NHS)
was established on 5 July 1948. It was thought that all sectors in health service should be under one
umbrella due to advancement in medicine and pharmaceutical industry, creating new drugs such as
Antibiotics, better Anaesthetic agents, Cortisone and drugs for the treatment of Mental illness and
other ailments. The creation of NHS was a momentous achievement despite earlier professional
opposition to some of the details.
Principles of NHS

wealth. When it was launched by the then minister of health, Aneurin Bevan, on ... Show more

Believe that the NHS should not to be privatised but reformed to meet the challenges of the 21st
century while remaining in the public sector. She pointed out that across the country, the NHS is
selling off its land and buildings and closing its services. This is happening at an unprecedented
rate which is switching NHS funds and services away from NHS services to the private sector. The
total debt is ВЈ50bn rising to ВЈ90bn and will lock in future governments and future taxpayers for
many decades to come. The NHS currently pays ВЈ0.5bn pounds a year in PFI charges and this
debt is set to quadruple to ВЈ2.3bn a year by 2010. The beneficiaries are the banks, the shareholders
and the venture capitalists, the construction industry and facilities management. The losers are the

Happiness In Candide And Zadig Ou La DestinГ©e
Voltaire works Candide and Zadig ou la DestinГ©e discuss the happiness of men and the
philosophy behind being happy. Candide suggests that men should be continuously striving for a
better society where everyone is happy, while Zadig ou la DestinГ©e argues that a society where
all men are happy cannot exist. It appears that since Voltairewrote these pieces, society has
progressed and become a better place but attaining the ideal of happiness for all men does not seem
possible. In Candide, the main character Candide, is taught to think optimistically about everything
he encounters. So, for the majority of the novel, Candide believes that all bad things in the world
occur for the greater good, since he is already living in the best possible... Show more content on

At the end of this novel, the main character, Zadig learns that bad things will always happen, and
sometimes they happen to good people. In other words, somebody could do everything right and
they still might have something bad happen to them. Voltaire argues that this is because there
are some things beyond our control, and while we might not see it, the universe always has a
reasons for its actions. Using this philosophy, it becomes clear that while we should always
strive to make the world a better place, we cannot make it a perfect world where everyone is
happy all the time. For example, society could progress so that no biases exist at all, everyone has
an equal opportunity at achievement despite their race, gender, or income. Everyone might be
happy at least most of the time, but we cannot stop people from dying, or volcanoes from erupting,
There are some things bad things that despite people s best efforts, humans will not be able to
control. Therefore, humans should continue to strive for a better world but they need to understand
that complete and total happiness might not be

Case Study Engstrom Auto Mirror
Introduction:
The Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant relatively small supplier based in Indiana is as yet confronting
issues with efficiency, and benefit misfortune. Creation laborers have turned out to be troubled and
lost trust in the Scanlon reward design. Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant is encountering a broken
impact in their social framework. Workers have an absence of intrigue and trust for the
organization due to the fizzled motivating force design in movement. Workers feel the estimation of
the Scanlon design isn t reasonable in view of the measure of rewards that is disseminated and
reasonableness. Employees morale and overall motivation has severely decreased. With such,

Symptoms:
In 2007, the floor manager of Engstorm auto mirror and his assistant realised that the previous
rough quarters that the company went through were due to a lack of motivation coming from the
workers. As if having a bad productivity wasn t enough, the quality of the products offered by the
company started declining. The employees started to get really angry because they weren t paid a
bonus each month as they were used to, they started to delay the deliveries, putting the company in
a bad situation, they began to see that there s no point into participating, they stopped taking

The Political Economy Of Globalization
Joseph Stiglitz and Layna Mosley both discuss globalization in detail and both have similar views
regarding globalization. In the chapter The Political Economy of Globalization Layna Mosley asks
the question whether globalizations effect on government policy making has adverse effects on the
state of the global economy or if governments retain autonomy in regards to policymaking despite
globalization. She analyzes trends in globalization and the hypothesis of the race to the bottom as
well as economic openness and if government are truly in control of capital markets. Joseph Stiglitz
however analyzes globalization in a historical and current point of view and how the management
of globalization has comparatively helped developed nations extensively more than developing/poor
nations. Stiglitz s supports his argument regarding the poor management of globalization by
arguing that monopoly power created by patents and the TRIPs agreement has resulted in an unfair
global market and is overall very critical of trade agreements. This paper will summarize and
critically analyze these two readings and why both texts make strong a valid point in regards to the
management of globalization and its effect on the global environment. Furthermore this paper will
argue why the texts support the claim that globalization has not only prospered but also resulted in
the end of the nation state because of the increasing interdependence between countries all around
the world. Globalization has

Essay On Cash Advance
What Is a Cash Advance?
Within the industry, a cash advance is essentially the same as a payday loan. The loan amounts
are similar, typically less than $500 although some lenders offer larger loans. The loans are usually
repaid in a lump sum; repayment may be scheduled 14 to 30 days after the loan is finalized. Cash
advances are sometimes called paycheck advances, personal cash advances or payday cash
advances.
Whether the lender chooses to call the product a cash advance or a payday loan depends on the
lender s preference and may reflect the company s history. Many lenders making these types of
loans from physical stores chose to emphasize that borrowers received their loans in cash rather
than a check. Today, however, borrowers can... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The exact loan term depends on the lender, the amount borrowed and any applicable state laws.
Many payday lenders offer installment loans for people with bad credit as well as installment loans
online. The loan amounts, qualifications and interest rates vary by lender, but as rule, the loan
amounts are more generous than for short term loans requiring repayment in a lump sum.
What Is a Personal Loan
Basically, any loan obtained for non business reasons could be considered a personal loan.
However, within the short term loan industry, the term commonly refers to an unsecured loan.
Secured loans are backed by collateral that the lender can seize should the borrower default on
the loan; mortgages, car loans, title loans and pawned merchandise are all examples of secured
loans. Borrowers obtaining unsecured personal loans do not pledge collateral, so lenders have
only the borrower s word that he or she will repay the loan. These loans are sometimes called
signature loans.
Since lenders take greater risks when making unsecured personal loans, they may have different
requirements than they do for pay day loans. They may run a credit check to determine the
borrower s credit score and payment history, but most lenders base their decision on more than
just the borrower s official credit report. Many lenders offer no credit personal loans as well as
personal loans for

Tom Cant Character Analysis
Tom Canty was a poverty stricken young boy, who grew up in a somewhat immoral family.
Despite this, Tom developed himself sticking to good morals, as he displayed throughout the
story. For example, Tom displayed his perseverance in rarely complaining throughout his rough
life. Furthermore, growing up poorly, he was often considerate of others, as he understood their
troubles. Lastly, although he lived the life of a beggar, Tom was an honest young man. Tom
Canty, a young pauper boy, despite growing up in a rather destitute neighborhood, lead a good
moral youth, and displayed the virtues of perseverance, compassion, and integrity. Since he had
been raised in a poor environment, Tom grew to be a perseverant boy who tried his best despite
difficulty. Whenever Tom came home without earning any money from begging, he would be
beaten by both his father and grandmother, and sent to bed without dinner. Despite this, Tom did
not think of his life as particularly disagreeable, and enjoyed thinking of himself as a prince. His
wonderful fantasies of princehood comforted Tom whenever he was particularly down, and
encouraged him to be optimistic about the future. Thus, Tom... Show more content on

How Does Ninotchka Relate To Capitalism
Ninotchka: Capitalism over Communism
The film from 1939, Ninotchka, the comedy drama directed by Ernst Lubitsch shows how the
culture and attitude was towards Soviets and follows an underlying political issue about whether
communism is better than capitalism and vice versa. Ninotchka was made during a turbulent time
in history. It was released during the second World War, not long after Hitler had invaded Poland.
In Europe, the year of the film s release, World War II had broke out and the foreign market for
movies was waning. Mussolini had also said that Italy would be entering the war in that year. The
release of Ninotchka had different reactions in different parts of the world. The Russians really did

Ninotchka was made during a very integral part of history and shows some key historical aspects
and cultural aspects of the time period. This film reverses gender roles through the character of
Ninotchka and shows how sexuality was becoming more and more overt in films and
regulations becoming more lax on it because people wanted to see more overt sexuality.
Ninotchka was released just as World War II was starting. The theme of the film was also very
important because it explored the different aspects of the capitalist system versus the communist
system while portraying the capitalist system in a more favorable light. However it makes a
joke out the communist system through its portrayal of the three comrades and their behavior.
It addresses a major issues and takes a stand against it while also doing so in a comical way. For
these reasons, the film, Ninotchka had a very significant political meaning because of the time
period it was released and the risk it was taking against Russia who was a much needed ally. It
also shows the culture of the time period and how people were feared the threat of communism
and the influence it might have on their country. Ninotchka was able to encompass all of these
aspects and was able to portray it in a way that was enjoyable but was also very persuasive in
showing why capitalism is more favorable than

Analyzing Themes In The Kidnap On Walnut Street
Before I began the fiction unit for this creative writing class, I did not think I would have an easy
time constructing flash fiction or short story pieces. Previously, I never had the opportunity to write
creative pieces for any of my English classes; therefore, the prospect of writing a full piece with a
beginning, middle, and end frightened me a little. However, I believe the work I presented in this
unit truly reflects my growth in understanding how to place words together to create thought
provoking themes about human relationships, trends that correspond to the themes, and writing
processes that utilize writing techniques. I think my growth occurred because of my interest in
writing about human relationships and experiences within flash fiction and short story pieces....

When I wrote each piece, I did not realize I utilized this theme until each piece was completed.
Additionally, I recognized that other themes and metaphors developed in each piece as well.
For example, in the work Cards and the Displaced Way of Life , the cards symbolized the
concept of loss and constant searching within the homeless family s life. Similarly, the
descriptions of Sheela in her home in The Kidnapping on Walnut Street symbolized the themes of
pain and suffering within the piece. I believe I was successful in developing each of the themes
because outside references gathered from my observations influenced some of my writing. For
example, in the work The Time Capsule for Life s Last Moments , I used observations from my
grandparents to influence how I wanted to write the piece. Correspondingly, I used a real life
investigation as an influence for The Kidnapping on Walnut Street . I think the themes of my works

The Effects Of Climate Change On Forest Ecology System
Although our modern society would be more convenient and comfortable compared with 30 years
ago, climate change could be considered the most serious issue affecting the world. Climate change
impacts forest ecology system is significant developing recently however, human activities are also
damaging the global environment almost the same as development of new technology. Human
activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, agriculture and increased deforestation are contributing
to climate change. It is clear that people have to protect forests to decrease the climate change. In
addition, it requires not only national commitment but also individual actions solutions.
The technology of transportation is one of the typical issue for climate change due to carbon dioxide
(CO2) and other greenhouse and gas emissions. According to Natural Resources Defense
Council(NRDC), In the United States, the burning of fossil fuels to make electricity is the largest
source of heat trapping pollution, producing about 2 billion tons of CO2 every year (Global
Warming 101, March 11, 2016). Have you ever thought of how many breaths do you do every
day? Compared to a person average which Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Brown
showed that The average person takes between 17,280 and 23,040 breaths a day (April 28, 2014).

What can the examination of religious texts tell us about...
Religious text Definition writing that is venerated for the worship of a deity (Soanes, 2005).
During the early nineteenth century it was the writer Max Muller that said for the study of
religion the religious text should be a scholar s primary source and focus of their studies. But is
this correct? If religious texts are the only evidence that scholars use to study religioncan an
accurate picture and understanding of religion be gained? But is Max Muller Correct in his
assumption? As a result of this way of thinking many scholars of the twentieth century have tended
to study the religious texts of a religion as a primary source for their information.

Religious texts either have a narrative or expository character. There is a great variety of
religious and semi religious text for example hymns, prayers, chants, myths, and stories about
gods heroes epics sacred laws and they all vary in authority and degree of sacredness. Within a
religion the texts are usually collected into standard works of faith or canons and they are
determined by general agreement or official religious bodies at which point they are fixed and are
then regarded as the authority of that religion.
Ninian Smart covers the study of religious texts within his model, the seven dimensions of
religion for the study of religion. The particular dimension that can be specially linked to the
study of religious texts would be the narrative or mythic dimension, which Smart defines as the
story side of religion. Smart also makes the point that the handing down of stories whether they
are historical mysterious future telling or heroic is typical of all religions or faiths. These stories
often called myths. The term may be a bit misleading, for in the modern study of religion there is
no implication that a myth is false. (Smart, 1998) The stories that religious texts are based on are
usually based on history or not as the case may be. The stories concerning creation are obviously
before history and are usually concerning the subject of how death and suffering came into being.

Economic Factors That Affect Population Growth
A Discussion of the Economic Factors that Affect Population Growth in Dubai
This essay forms a discussion about the economic factors that affect population growth, in Dubai.
According to McGinley (2013), there are two factors that contribute to population growth: high
birth rates and immigration into a country. Births add more people to the country s total population,
thus increasing the total population. Deaths, on the other hand, reduce the population size, thus
decreasing the total population. Further, immigration adds to the population, but emigration reduces
the total population. This essay proceeds as follows. First, I outline the levels of the Demographic
Transition Model (DTM) and the factors that affect the birth and death rates. Second, I consider
methods that other country s (namely Germany and New Zealand) have established to control their
total population. Third, I devote attention to the status of Dubai s economy and how it has
contributed to population growth. Finally, I draw this essay to a conclusion, summing the
discussion within.
A nation can experience a series of fluctuations in its total population. According to Barker et al.
(2008), the DTM is composed of five stages (the high fluctuating, early expanding, late expanding,
and low fluctuating and decline stage). The DTM model explains how birth and death rate changes
over time; these changes are entirely dependent upon economic development. For instance, death
rates drop rapidly as a country begins to

of its endings due to unacceptance of the test audience in the 1980 s. A lot of people didn t like

when she was young) whom she is constantly pursuing to find employment. Andie works in a

dark outside. The man sitting on the chair on the left is wearing a brown coat which is analogous
in color to his skin color. The painting also uses complementary colors to make the painting stand
out. The arm board of the chair is a redcolor which is complementary to the dark blue green chair.

The faces of the people are giving the light in the picture and are giving the focal point of the
image. This draws the viewers attention to the face of the two men and the woman as their
faces show how tired they are. The man on the left of the painting has is eyes closed and appears
to be sleeping. The woman has her eyes gently shut and appears to be falling asleep. The man in
the middle eyes are open, but his eyes have bags underneath and his face shows that he is very
tired. The background of the image is shaded out. Nothing can be seen outside the window,
because whatever is outside is not important for the message of the painting. However, the
darkness of the window makes it seem like it is night or late evening which fits into the story the
artist is showing. This will make the travelers seem as if they have either been traveling for a long
time, or that the two men are returning from work. The light and darkness of the artwork shows
what is important and how the long day has made the people in the painting

Gender Inequality In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Sexuality over Centuries
And though she be but little, she is fierce (3.2 335). This was said in A Midsummer Night s
Dream. This represents the life women have of being perceived as small, objects, and as
pointless. But as the time has gone by, women have proved to be a fierce as the Presidents of the
United States. When it comes to looking at women and how they have been interpreted, the one
question I have has to be why Shakespeare was against the female gander. He was a man who was
raised in the 16th century so he has seen the roughness the women have to bear. He seen deal with
men having numerous rights, the feeling of cross dressing to get what they desire, and also fight
for their own individual rights. Looking into Shakespeare s work and interpreting his meaning
behind the treatment of women, there are many forms that take place from feminist actions to the
appearance that is showing women, including men, living on their daily lives.
Women in the 16th century lived a life greatly different than the women of today. The normal
occupation for women at the time was marriage and motherhood (McDonald 253). The women
lived a very rough life with only two basic tasks, they only cleaned the house and took care of ...

Or, it may simply be that common underlying factors determine both income and gender
inequality (Dollar). But here have been times when things are really complicated and not going
well for the female gender. Men and husbands are ruling everything they do or take part in.
Women did not have it easy. As I stated previously, women had it the hardest time when it came to
being compared to the male gender. The man and the husband did everything they could to be able
to maintain rule of the home and keep their foot down in the house. There are some women that
did rebel and those are the ones we ended up reading about in Shakespeare s

How Did Dmitri Mendeleev Show Honor
Honor means to hold with high respect or esteem. My view of honor is to give respect to those
who deserve it. Dmitri Mendeleev, the creator of the first periodic table, is one of those who
deserve the respect honor has to offer. Dmitri Mendeleev was born February 8, 1834. When he
was young, his father went blind and couldn t work. Since his father couldn t work, his mother
re opened the glass factory that his father owned. When he was 13, his father died. Then, the
glass factory burned down when he was 15. Mendeleev had trained as both an academic chemist
and a teacher at his father s old college, partly because the college had known his father. He
suffered from Tuberculosis at 20 and had to work mostly from his bed. When he graduated, he...

It made finding the elements easier and it was able to be altered for the better of the science
community. His table was able to accurately predict the missing elements in his chart. Mendeleev
was very successful in his scientific career after he created the periodic table and is most famous
for that discovery. Mendeleev s periodic table had some flaws, but he used his periodic table to:
Propose that some of the elements, whose behavior did not agree with his predictions, must
have had their atomic weights measured incorrectly. Predict the existence of eight new
elements. Mendeleev even predicted the properties these elements would have. Later it was
found that Dmitri did measure some atomic properties incorrectly. Dmitri Mendeleev s
discovery of the periodic table fulfilled the criteria for honor worthy. His discovery is honor
worthy because the science world would be having a hard time today if it wasn t for his work in
chemistry. All in all, Dmitri Mendeleev is honor worthy because he made the science world more
organized and was unbiased while doing so. Works Cited Dmitri Mendeleev Biography, Facts and

The Role of Witchcraft in the Social Order
The newest generation in western society is being partially raised by films, literature, and music.
Pop culture is taking a bigger and bigger role in the upbringing of today s children. Images like
Harry Potter flying on his broomstick during a game of quidditch, or the old lady from Brave
creating potions. To the majority of Western Society, these situations are used for entertainment
purposes, but many tribes and villages still believe in the power of witchcraftand see it as an
enormous threat. Weather witchcraft is still prevalent for religious reasons, old school beliefs, or
economic motives, the fact still remains that it is used to show order and give power to those who
are willing to give up a life to take it. With modern... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because slaves were always in a household and could not speak up because of their social and
economic status, the blame was often put of them regarding illness or poor fortune (Cassar,
1993:317). Often slaves were put in a jail cell once a year to remind them of their social standing
in society (Cassar, 1993:329).The opposite side of this social blaming system, is that of trying to
bring down those who are on the higher economic and social ladder. This can be seen majorly in the
Badyaranke tribe. During the time the study was being conducted in the Badyaranke tribe that
showed that those who have a higher socioeconomic status in the tribe can often be accused of
summoning the spirit of Ufann (a spirit who exchanges a soul for healthy crops) and preforming
witchcraft on their crops to gain wealth in the community (Simmons, 1980:455). In both of these
societies it is evident that the community uses status as a means to inflict allegations of witchcraft.
Scapegoat
It is not rare that a community often needs a way to explain unexplainable occurrences. Humans in
western society always look for a science based logical reason to legitimize a situation. While this
is a common human trait, the science aspect can be lost on those nations that are geared more
towards religious of spiritual beliefs. Both the Badyaranke tribe and people of Malta during the
seventeenth century used

The Pestle Analysis Of Pestle Analysis
P.E.S.T.L.E Analysis
The PESTLE analysis is used to analyse the current and future predicaments of an industry that the
organisation or business belongs to, thus helping to provide better strategic planning whilst gaining
competitive superiority over competition. Significance of the factors that are included in the
PESTLE analysis can vary depending on the market, organisation or business. For example:
Businesses or organisations that are in the tourism industry may feel that environmental factors
within the analysis have more importance than economic, whereas companies or organisations in
the financial sector may prioritise economic or political factors over environmental.

SocialThe players need to fully understand who their market is and the lifestyles they hold. With a
small proportion of the population below the age of 18 and a variety of social changes and trends,
this indicates that nowadays people are more inclined to visit cinemas and clubs rather than
theatres. Information provided by Perth and Kinross Council indicated that there are more than 60
community groups in operation in the Blairgowrie and Rattray Area. The town s main feature is
regular markets and lots of outdoor activities and entertainment therefore incorporating activities
that relate to these will boost customers.
TechnologicalTo become competitive, significant investments such as advertising and promotions
need to be updated on social media, which plays a vital role in today s society, creating better
advantages for The Blairgowrie Players. By renovation the building and adding better technology
they will attract a wider audience. Facilities such as the alarms, hot water supply, heating,
ventilation, lift and accessibility for disabled people need to be updated to provide ease of access

British Airways ( Ba ) Debacle Occurred
The British Airways (BA) Debacle occurred because the management team planned and
implemented a swipe card system which would allow management to use staff more efficiently
and to record employees start and end time for each work day. However, the staff was not
involved in the decision which led to a strike (Palmer, Dunford, Akin, 2009). Wildcat strike key
issues
Organizational Development The purpose of the change process was to provide the efficient use of
staff and resources. British Airways Senior management s approach to change was planning and
having the operational level implement policies that affected the employees without employee
input. Using the organizational development approach a key issue was employee involvement, the
more involved in the change process members of the organization are the more likely they will be
to accepting the change. The lack of employee involvement caused the employees to rebel and
strike.
Sense making
Sense making approach shows how change is interpreted and received by those involved in the
change. British Airways Senior management and employees interpreted and received the change
differently. Using the sense making approach the key issue was opposing interpretation and
reception. Management viewed the change as a positive way of improving efficiency and were not
aware of any other interpretations of the change. The change was interpreted as negative by the
staff, because the staff felt the new systems was a

The American Revolution And The War For Independence
The year 1775 marked the beginning of the American Revolution or, to the colonists, The War for
Independence. The American Revolution did not happen by itself but past conflicts such as the
seven years war provoked the future event of the American Revolution. The seven year war was
fought between the Thirteen Coloniesand the French Empire as well as Native American allies,
over territory in America. Before the seven year war, the British government proposed the
colonists to pay for protection and also for a royal leader. After the seven year war King George
changed the proposal to being required for every colonist to pay taxes because of the debt that
British was in. The British Crown passed many laws without representation from colonists, which
led colonists to question the king s authority. As a result, historians argue that the American
Revolutionwas based on economics. More significant causes of the American Revolution were
politics, culture, and religion. Politics were a significant cause because the colonist disliked the
rules and regulations of the Charter that the King established. Culture also caused the Revolution
due to the rational thinking of the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment gave the colonist the thought
of self governing instead of being under the royal leader. Finally, Religion also impacted the
American Revolution because Religion contributed the idea that the church should voice their
opinion on government decisions over the colonies. Americans

Civil War Turning Points
Since Columbus found the North American continent in 1492, our continent has constantly been
changing and adapting to new technology. Along with adapting to new things our continent has
been through many turning points. One of the most important and influential turning points was all
the events leading up to the Civil War and the Civil War itself. The Civil War brought about many
challenges for both the Union and Confederate states. However, the United Stateswas able to move
past their differences as a cohesive nation. Many have said that without the effects of the Civil War
slavery could still exist and the country might still be separated into Union and Confederate. The
18th and 19th centuries brought about many challenges for men, women,... Show more content on

This battle took place on April 6th and 7th, 1862. The Confederate army started this battle by
launching a surprise attack on the Union army. This battle was named Shiloh because it took
place near Shiloh Church (The Civil War: A Visual History, 56). General Grant and his men
suffered a significant amount of casualties on April 6th due to the fact that General Buell and his
men had not joined the battle yet (The Civil War: A Visual History, 59 60). On April 7th Grant
and Buell s men were able to counter attack which led the Confederate forces to retreat back to
Shiloh Church. The battle of Shiloh produced a Union victory, however it also produced 13,000
Union casualties. The Confederate army also suffered significantly with 10,000 casualties (The

  • 3. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Essay Carpal Tunnel Syndrome The carpal tunnel is a passageway that runs from the forearm through the wrist. Bones form three walls of the tunnel and a strong, broad ligament bridges over them. The median nerve, which supplies feeling to the thumb, index (4th digit), and ring fingers (3rd digit), and the nine tendons that flex the fingers, passes through this tunnel. This nerve, also, provides function for the muscles at the base of the thumb (the Thenar muscles). Usually, carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) is considered an inflammatory disorder caused by repetitive stress, physical injury, or medical conditions that cause the tissues around the median nerve to become swollen. The protective lining of the tendons within the carpal tunnel can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Such conditions are known contributors to CTS. It is most likely that many cases of CTS occur from a combination of factors, including a predisposing medical condition exacerbated by work stress and psychological and social stressers. In many patients with CTS, an underlying cause for the disorder cannot be discovered. Disorders related to work that requires repetitive motion are increasing. They account for nearly half of all reported work related illness, and CTS is estimated to account for over 41% of these repetitive motion disorders. Researchers have defined six key risk factors in the workplace for the development of these disorders, including CTS: (1) repetition, (2) high force, (3) awkward joint posture, (4) direct pressure, (5) vibration, and (6) prolonged constrained posture. Through many of the studies I have read, many believe that incorrect posture may play a large role in the development of CTS, particularly in people who work at computer and other types of keyboards. The tendency to roll the shoulders forward, round the lower back, and thrust the chin forward can shorten the neck and shoulder muscles compressing nerves in the neck. This can affect the wrist, fingers, and hand. It has been difficult to obtain reliable data on the relation between repetitive hand and wrist tasks and CTS. Studies indicate that ... • 4. Augustine Of Hippo And St. Augustine s Views Of A Single God Introduction Many parallels have been drawn between the ancient philosophy known as stoicism and early Christian thought. They both believe that what ultimately matters in a person is internal, and that man should not preoccupy himself with earthly belongings. They are both highly individual, and believe that there is one divine force that is ruling the universe. And yet, in spite of some essential similarities, there are aspects where the two philosophies greatly diverge. A peculiar fact is that, although they both seem to have a similar perception of divinity, their views on the appropriate way to die could hardly be more different. Because death is a concept indisputably related to faith and conceptions of life after death, and taking into account the fact that both philosophies can be said to believe in a single God, examining how their beliefs about afterlife differ may help in understanding why their views on ... In De Civitate Dei (The City of God), he addressed issues such as the existence of evil, free will and the original sin. This and several more of his writings are said to be fundamental for the formation of Western philosophy, which further adds to the necessity of analyzing the impacts on his work. Views on ... Her mother is a Chippewa Indian and her father is German American. Through her writing, she demonstrates native ideas and culture. Native American themes are often present in her works. She shines a light on both perspectives of her background. Some of her works mention reservations in Minnesotaand North Dakotawhich connects to her birthplace and where she grew up. Erdrich did not really look into her native heritage until she went to Dartmouth and they had just opened the Native American department. She delved more into the subject and started to use it in her writing. Erdrich gives readers, whether or not they are Native American or not, a look at Native American culture from the eyes of both natives and others in society. This theme is present in many of her works including: Antelope Wife and Future Home of a Living God. Antelope Wife is a short story by Louise Erdrich. Antelope Wife is about a Native American man belonging to the Chippewa tribe in Minnesota who is a teacher. One day he laid his eyes on four women: three daughters and their mother. He was determined to have the mother and he ends up kidnapping her. He gets her (the antelope) to fall in love with her, but he was warned by Jimmy Badger that these women are generally curse the men who go after them. Towards the end of the story, she becomes overweight and ugly and the man did not expect this to happen to him. There is already a connection to native culture in the title of this short story, Antelope . Antelope is a spirit animal in the native heritage. Antelope symbolizes being on the movie and action oriented. Deep in the fields of tall golden grasses in the desert the Antelope thrives, ever watchful and discerning ready to move in an instant. The Antelope perceives subtle body movements and signals from the other members of the herd. When danger is near they move as one, quickly and confidently with finesse and confidence, their maneuverability allows them to disappear into the vast expanse of wilderness with no more than a moments notice. In spite of all this model disadvantages, it has some advantages as well. On one hand, the existence of inventories allows an easier response to fluctuations in demand. Thus, when for some reason, there is no replenishment the demand is still satisfied. On the other hand, comparing to the Transit Point, this system has lower transportation costs (Exhibit 6). There was a move away from harsh penal conditions and a move towards reforming individuals. It was during this period of modernity that there existed societal consensus and a general air of optimism which generated high levels of trust and respect for people in authority. During the mid 1980s post modernism emerged as an area of academic study, and it is this which currently describes today s developed world. Attempts have been made to chart the shift from modernism to post modernism, however this is largely attributed to the work of Ulrich Beck and what he describes as the emergence of a risk society (Beck 1986). Beck argued that the public are constantly being confronted with socially created risks which endanger survival (Beck 1986, p32). He saw one of these being globalisation, whereby communication is now effortless, thus increasing the risk of messages being distorted and information saturated which hence has the potential to perturb (Beck, 1986). The chemical energy provided by the fuel allows the engine to transmit power for a myriad of uses in the marine industry including power and propulsion or a combination of the both. The results of combustion include heat and exhaust gases. These exhaust gases, in addition to cost, make fuel injectionsystems more important today than ever. The International Maritime Organization s Marine Pollution Prevention annex VI has established new regulations for nitric oxides, and sulfur oxide emissions which are the by products of fuel combustion. Electronic fuel injection systems play a important role in the reduction of these emissions by improving the efficiency of fuel combustion. The main function of the fuel oil injection system is to provide the right amount of fuel at the right time. In order for fuel injection systems to work, there must be a means of measuring the fuel supply and a way to time the delivery and atomization of the fuel. A representational model of hemineglect is a model in which suggests that there certain brain functions that control both visual imaging and perception (Ogden, 2005). A representational model takes into account that the spatial representation of the patients contralesional side of space is damaged or distorted (Pouget, Sejnowski, 2001). The method of prism adaptation is relatively simple. Although you cannot control all the confounding variables, that underlie each individual patient, there is a standard framework of how prism adaptation occurs. A procedure for a PA treatment begins with a pre test, to establish a baseline performance; then an active exposure to prismatic goggles to produce an adaptation in vision; and then lastly a post test to see if there is any after adaptation persistent after using the goggles (Redding et al, 2005). Joseph Stiglitz however analyzes globalization in a historical and current point of view and how the management of globalization has comparatively helped developed nations extensively more than developing/poor nations. Stiglitz s supports his argument regarding the poor management of globalization by arguing that monopoly power created by patents and the TRIPs agreement has resulted in an unfair global market and is overall very critical of trade agreements. This paper will summarize and critically analyze these two readings and why both texts make strong a valid point in regards to the management of globalization and its effect on the global environment. Furthermore this paper will argue why the texts support the claim that globalization has not only prospered but also resulted in the end of the nation state because of the increasing interdependence between countries all around the world. • 22. Essay On Cash Advance What Is a Cash Advance? Within the industry, a cash advance is essentially the same as a payday loan. The loan amounts are similar, typically less than $500 although some lenders offer larger loans. The loans are usually repaid in a lump sum; repayment may be scheduled 14 to 30 days after the loan is finalized. Cash advances are sometimes called paycheck advances, personal cash advances or payday cash advances. Whether the lender chooses to call the product a cash advance or a payday loan depends on the lender s preference and may reflect the company s history. Many lenders making these types of loans from physical stores chose to emphasize that borrowers received their loans in cash rather than a check. Today, however, borrowers can... Many payday lenders offer installment loans for people with bad credit as well as installment loans online. The loan amounts, qualifications and interest rates vary by lender, but as rule, the loan amounts are more generous than for short term loans requiring repayment in a lump sum. What Is a Personal Loan Basically, any loan obtained for non business reasons could be considered a personal loan. However, within the short term loan industry, the term commonly refers to an unsecured loan. Secured loans are backed by collateral that the lender can seize should the borrower default on the loan; mortgages, car loans, title loans and pawned merchandise are all examples of secured loans. Borrowers obtaining unsecured personal loans do not pledge collateral, so lenders have only the borrower s word that he or she will repay the loan. These loans are sometimes called signature loans. Since lenders take greater risks when making unsecured personal loans, they may have different requirements than they do for pay day loans. They may run a credit check to determine the borrower s credit score and payment history, but most lenders base their decision on more than just the borrower s official credit report. Many lenders offer no credit personal loans as well as personal loans for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Does Ninotchka Relate To Capitalism Ninotchka: Capitalism over Communism The film from 1939, Ninotchka, the comedy drama directed by Ernst Lubitsch shows how the culture and attitude was towards Soviets and follows an underlying political issue about whether communism is better than capitalism and vice versa. Ninotchka was made during a turbulent time in history. It was released during the second World War, not long after Hitler had invaded Poland. In Europe, the year of the film s release, World War II had broke out and the foreign market for movies was waning. Mussolini had also said that Italy would be entering the war in that year. Ninotchka was made during a very integral part of history and shows some key historical aspects and cultural aspects of the time period. This film reverses gender roles through the character of Ninotchka and shows how sexuality was becoming more and more overt in films and regulations becoming more lax on it because people wanted to see more overt sexuality. Ninotchka was released just as World War II was starting. The theme of the film was also very important because it explored the different aspects of the capitalist system versus the communist system while portraying the capitalist system in a more favorable light. However it makes a joke out the communist system through its portrayal of the three comrades and their behavior. It addresses a major issues and takes a stand against it while also doing so in a comical way. For these reasons, the film, Ninotchka had a very significant political meaning because of the time period it was released and the risk it was taking against Russia who was a much needed ally. It also shows the culture of the time period and how people were feared the threat of communism and the influence it might have on their country. During the early nineteenth century it was the writer Max Muller that said for the study of religion the religious text should be a scholar s primary source and focus of their studies. But is this correct? If religious texts are the only evidence that scholars use to study religioncan an accurate picture and understanding of religion be gained? Ninian Smart covers the study of religious texts within his model, the seven dimensions of religion for the study of religion. The particular dimension that can be specially linked to the study of religious texts would be the narrative or mythic dimension, which Smart defines as the story side of religion. • 35. Economic Factors That Affect Population Growth A Discussion of the Economic Factors that Affect Population Growth in Dubai This essay forms a discussion about the economic factors that affect population growth, in Dubai. According to McGinley (2013), there are two factors that contribute to population growth: high birth rates and immigration into a country. Births add more people to the country s total population, thus increasing the total population. Deaths, on the other hand, reduce the population size, thus decreasing the total population. Further, immigration adds to the population, but emigration reduces the total population. This essay proceeds as follows. First, I outline the levels of the Demographic Transition Model (DTM) and the factors that affect the birth and death rates. Second, I consider methods that other country s (namely Germany and New Zealand) have established to control their total population. Third, I devote attention to the status of Dubai s economy and how it has contributed to population growth. Finally, I draw this essay to a conclusion, summing the discussion within. A nation can experience a series of fluctuations in its total population. According to Barker et al. (2008), the DTM is composed of five stages (the high fluctuating, early expanding, late expanding, and low fluctuating and decline stage). The DTM model explains how birth and death rate changes over time; these changes are entirely dependent upon economic development. For instance, death rates drop rapidly as a country begins to ... Because slaves were always in a household and could not speak up because of their social and economic status, the blame was often put of them regarding illness or poor fortune (Cassar, 1993:317). Often slaves were put in a jail cell once a year to remind them of their social standing in society (Cassar, 1993:329).The opposite side of this social blaming system, is that of trying to bring down those who are on the higher economic and social ladder. This can be seen majorly in the Badyaranke tribe. During the time the study was being conducted in the Badyaranke tribe that showed that those who have a higher socioeconomic status in the tribe can often be accused of summoning the spirit of Ufann (a spirit who exchanges a soul for healthy crops) and preforming witchcraft on their crops to gain wealth in the community (Simmons, 1980:455). In both of these societies it is evident that the community uses status as a means to inflict allegations of witchcraft. Scapegoat It is not rare that a community often needs a way to explain unexplainable occurrences. Humans in western society always look for a science based logical reason to legitimize a situation. While this is a common human trait, the science aspect can be lost on those nations that are geared more towards religious of spiritual beliefs. Both the Badyaranke tribe and people of Malta during the seventeenth century used ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The American Revolution did not happen by itself but past conflicts such as the seven years war provoked the future event of the American Revolution. The seven year war was fought between the Thirteen Coloniesand the French Empire as well as Native American allies, over territory in America. Before the seven year war, the British government proposed the colonists to pay for protection and also for a royal leader. After the seven year war King George changed the proposal to being required for every colonist to pay taxes because of the debt that British was in. The British Crown passed many laws without representation from colonists, which led colonists to question the king s authority. As a result, historians argue that the American Revolutionwas based on economics. More significant causes of the American Revolution were politics, culture, and religion. Politics were a significant cause because the colonist disliked the rules and regulations of the Charter that the King established. Culture also caused the Revolution due to the rational thinking of the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment gave the colonist the thought of self governing instead of being under the royal leader.
