The Vibration Of My Pocket
The vibration in my pocket wasn t the first indicator that something was wrong, but instead the last. It
was the day after Thanksgiving, every shopper s favorite day and every retail worker s least Black
Friday. I was an hour into my shift at Barnes and Noble and was already twitching to get home. The
sickly sweet smell of Starbucks and Christmas music filled the air, while frantic customers filled the
store. Reluctantly I let the phone call go to voicemail. A tight lump in my throat began to form.
I can help who s next. I yelped out. A middle aged women and what I presumed to be her son
approached my register. The vibration in my pocket started up again. Like a pestering child, I couldn t
them shut up.
Something is wrong. I needed to answer the phone, my brain kept screaming. My brain and phone
were like pestering children that wouldn t shut up.
Hi, did we find everything okay today? I said grabbing the books from the woman and began ringing
them up. She nodded and smiled, pleased with what she was buying.
I told her the total, but she wasn t paying attention. She was preoccupied with what she was hearing
from the two other customers next to us.
...Snuck out with friends to go shopping and a fight broke out at the mall. She was taken to the
hospital. An older man said.
Kate snuck out? What does her mom make of all this? The women next to him remarked.
She doesn t know. One of Kate s friends text me and asked if I could come get her.
Wow. I can t believe

Managing The Changes Within A Public Workforce Trends
Managing the Changes in a Public Workforce Trends: 2011 2025

Public management over a course of time has seen an influx in societal workforce dilemmas which
have rapidly transformed organizational structures in government to how HR professional translate
policies and procedures. As public events continue to rise and the demands for spontaneous, strategic,
and creative solutions are sought after effortlessly, society is faced with the need to revisit how to
successfully manage a diverse workforce. A workforce that is composed of (1) multigenerational

Gary Hamel (2011) spoke on the essence of: the reinvention of management techniques which,
challenged managers to rethink how they perform operational functions; in order to, create a solid
structure within the current market. Additionally, his [Hamel] presentation broke the seal on stagnate
managers and a need to reinvent themselves. Often in many organizational cultures there lays very
rigid, traditional and obsolete practices which struggles to remain existent. Organizations are now
flooded with multigenerational groups; where baby boomers sought to develop their succession plan
exit; now baby boomer are forecasted to have an large representation within the future workforce
alongside generation X and Y s. In the past, managers were more seasoned, traditional in
administration processes and managed a younger workforce. Due to the current market shift [and
potentially the future], managers are comprised of recent college graduates, ingenuities on
developments, and overseers of both seasoned and youthful employees. The idea of managing the
future workforce will require nuggets given by Gary Hamal (2011): (1) Challenge the change which is
currently changing, (2) construct innovations that involves everyone, and (3) manage the diversified
commodity of knowledge effectively. Authors, Martha Crumpacker and Jill Crumpacker (2007) stated:

High School Is A Time Of Great Fun
Sophomore year at my school, Greenbrier School District, is our first year of High School. We are the
dreaded underclassman of the school. We get the boos at the pep rallys, we get the worst lunch tables,
we get the bad parking spots, and worst of all when we mess up everyone knows and finds out. Every
High Schooler wants to be cool and liked by everyone especially the cooler Seniors. Everyone
experiences in their life the time of being the Sophomore the rookie and when you mess up at that
time it seems to affect you more than any other time. We feel the most vulnerable when we are the
weaker people, even the smallest things seem to hurt us the most.
High School is suppose to be a time of great fun. In my small town of Greenbrier, Arkansas with a
population of about five thousand people, our Friday night sports are everything. First Security, a local
bank, tailgates before most games, people line up to get good seats, they deck out in panther gear, and
everyone is always smiling and having a good time. At school before the games we have huge pep
rally s where all 3 grades come together and yell and support the Panthers. A person from the team
playing that night speaks about the games and how hard everyone has worked for tonight. No one is
ever sitting and everyone finds it enjoyable. School pride is of great value to Greenbrier students.
However the same pep rally s that made my life enjoyable, were also the reason I got made fun of for
a solid year. We were about

81 Brush Fires
According to the Florida Forest Service there has been a significant increase in brush fires over the
last 3 months.
81 brush fires are responsible for damage to 6,363 acres of land in the Miami Dade area. At the same
point during 2014, 51 fires had been documented.
Lightning from summer storms in addition to abnormally dry weather is responsible for the increase of
fires.
On July 13, 2015 two brush fires, both caused by lightning, managed to burn upwards of 500 acres of
grass.
In addition to lightning the absence of rainfall, humidity, wind and both Sawgrass and Pine Rockland
from the Everglades assist fires in their ability to move quickly.
Wildlife fire agencies use the Keetch Byram Drought Index to determine the dryness of soil;

Gender Inequality In Gender
Changing the Mindset
Women have been fighting for equal rights and opportunities since the beginning of time. In the year
of 2017 it finally seems as though women finally are receiving these equal opportunities. With
movements such as women s suffrage, although long ago, have helped to advance women in places
such as the workplace. A big issue with some women nowadays is the wage gap. The problem is not
that women are not being paid the same as men in the same positions. It is that men are in higher up
positions such as CEOs and grossing more than women. Therefore, the issue is not that there are no
equal opportunities for women, it is more of a mindset. Women in 2017, as far as the workplace goes,
can achieve anything a man can. It comes back to how we are raised and the current mindsets of
Americans. In the United States based upon gender there is now equal opportunity, it is just a matter
of whether these opportunities will be ceased.
More times than less when growing up people believe and resemble their parents. Growing up
Americans have ideas and beliefs instilled in them from their parents. There is a huge difference
growing up as a male than a female. Men growing up are told to shoot for the stars and be a business
CEO or doctor where as women are more geared towards being a model or nurse. A big part of what
goes into inequality in gender is more of a stigma than anything. If we can change the way children
are raised, we can change how women can cease these

A Constitutional Amendment For Women Essay
Into parliament. In Bangladesh there had been a provision, which expired in 2000, to reserve 10% of
seats for women in parliament. This expiry resulted in a dramatic decrease in the number of female
legislators. A constitutional amendment in 2001 extended women‟s reserved seats from 30 to 45 for a
period of 10 years. Prior to this, the reserved seats of 30 enacted in 1978 were about the only route for
women into parliament. In 1996, 11 or 3.6% of the seats in the first post the post system was won by
women. In 2001 this dropped to 6 or only 2% of the seats in parliament. In 2005, a law increased the
overall number of seats in parliament, and 45 of these were reserved for women. These were allocated
to political parties on the share of the national vote received in the elections, and the number of
women increased to 13% of the seats in the 2005 elections, and in 2008 this increased to 18.6%. In
Bangladesh, 19 women won out of the 300 constituency seats, to join 45 appointed women members.
The number of women holding ministerial portfolios has never exceeded 3%. As of 2009, nearly 80%
of parliamentary standing committees have no women. With the addition of the 45 reserved seats in
November 2009, women are now 14.8% of the total positions. Begum has commented: The mode of
nomination for reserving seats lies exclusively with political parties. A woman selected from the
reserved quota has to represent an area more than ten times larger than those of the general seats. The

Cerebral Isolation Using Word Processing
Cerebral Isolation Using Word Processing
Bianca Barreto
Texas Tech University Abstract
In general, the brain is thought to be lateralized with the two hemispheres having control of the
opposite side of the body and their own functionalities. In this case, the left hemisphere dominates in
language and verbal capabilities controlling the right side of the body including the right visual field.
Using this fact and the difference in visual fields, subjects were asked to focus on a flashing screen
with a pulsating plus sign. Vertically oriented words would flash on either the left or right side of the
plus sign in order to isolate individual hemispheres. The time to correctly identify the words was
recorded and compared between the left and right visual fields as well as between males and females.
In this case, there was a significant difference between visual fields with the right side being
significantly faster at processing words. In addition, males showed greater differences between visual
fields when compared to females. These findings suggest that the right hemisphere is more selective in
word processing and that males are more lateralized than females. Cerebral Isolation Using Word
Processing Insufficient information is known about how words are processed by the brain. Within the
scientific community, the brain is believed to be lateralized (Tucha, Aschenbrenner, Lange, 2000). In
this case, the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body and the

Economic Inequality Within The Global Economy
Economic inequality can be defined by the unequal access to economic resources, in the form of
opportunities, wealth, capital, land, etc., which determine the individual s or the group s level of
power. Generally speaking, individuals and groups with high access to resources have high levels of
vertical and horizontal power, which in it turn generate more access to resources and power. The
unequal access to economic resources is institutionalized within a society. Thus, economic inequality
has far reaching effects and manifestations in other social and political institutions. In addition, with
increasing role of global economy on national economies, and the increasing inequality in the global
market, which is reflecting on increasing inequality in it turn increases inequality within nations. Thus,
the interest among political economists has increased in an effort to understand stratification and to
create policies which aim to elevate economic inequality globally and nationally.
I will argue that the capitalist economic system is inherently unequal. Farther more, it thrives on
creating highly level of economic inequality, where resources and capital is concentrated in the hands
of the economic elite, while the rest of the population service to provide cheap labor (specialized on
non specialized) which increase economic, social, and political inequality in a society. For that reason,
I don t believe that economic policies can end inequality globally or national (short from

Custom hunting knives will perform several tasks when you re hunting. When choosing a knife there

small game, a small knife will be easier and safer. If you only hunt large game, a larger blade will
work better. Something else to consider is whether you want a fixed blade, or not. A fixed blade doesn

The Ultimate Question
The Ultimate Questions First let me start off my paper by giving thanks. I would like to thank you
Lord for loving me enough that he thought I was worth saving and worth keeping. He gave his life for
mine, if this wasn t so my presences would not be here. He put into place a Church and its leaders that
helped with my feedings of the words of God and as I listened my life began to change. My
relationship with him grew personally as well as my spiritually again thank you. Being in this course
the History of Ecclesiology and Polity, it has taught me many things about the difference in
denominations of the church. In the Pauline letters Paul who was a minister of Christ Jesus wanted us
to know what were the structures and order of the Gentile churches of his day. He also wanted today s
church to know the normative structures and order as well. Jesus was exceptionally clear on how he
wishes His church to be organized and managed here on earth in His word. Jesus first wanted us to
know that he is the head and highest authority of the church. And he is the head of the body, the
church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have
the supremacy (Colossians 1:18 NIV). Paul during his time delegated authority to help co work and
represent him in the administration of his churches. For example the Missionary letter of Timothy We
sent Timothy, who is our brother and co worker in God s service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to

Analysis Of Troilus And Cressida Essay
In the essay, I am attempting to reveal the true character of Cressida as opposed to the reputation she
obtains in the play. This is accomplished through the conversations Cressida has with Pandarus and
Troilus, where the two men obtain early encounters with Cressida as this noble nature is revealed. In
the Shakespearean play, Troilus and Cressida , Cressida is a woman who seems to be easily
manipulated by the male characters. Despite being taken advantage of often, she finds herself making
light of each terrible situation. Although the men who take advantage only see her as a promiscuous
woman, her true nature reveals a completely different Cressida. She is witty, coy, and apparently say,
which helps her to adapt to her changing circumstances, none of which are under her control. She is
resistant of Troilus at first and then after she falls for him, seems to think somewhat more of him than
he deserves, as her dialogue switches from double talk to inflated rhetoric. Shakespeare s Cressida has
often been dismissed as a shallow, cold, calculating prostitute; however, some recent evaluations
challenge this perception of her character. Where the main concern is of her being faithful to the man
who did not save her from being taken by the Greeks, she now depends on wit which has single
handedly saved her in past situations. Rather than being calculating or deceptive, Cressida is driven by
her own vanity, addicted to romantic displays of affection where her worth as a noble

Ancient Mythology Meets Modern Times People do not forget the gods. Every place they ve ruled, for
the last three thousand years, you can see them in paintings, in statues, on the most important

Most people have heard of the Olympics, well the Olympics is originally traditions from Greece that
died out in the 5th century, but in 1896 the idea of a sports competition bringing nations together was
created again and is now held every 4 years, as it was in Greece (Green). In fact, the original games
were in honor of the king of the gods, Zeus, and were held in Olympia, a rural haven in the western
Peloponnese ( The Games... ). On another note, the Pokémon world is filled with examples of
mythology. Pokémon is a trademark for a series of Japanese pocket monsters seen in video games,
card games, toys, movies and television shows, ( Pokémon... ). The Pokémon whiscash, a giant
whiskered water/ground type, is known to cause earthquakes in its pokédex entries similar to the
creature Onamazu from the Japanese mythology it came from. Onamazu, in the myths, is a giant
catfish constrained at the bottom of the sea and when it struggles to escape, it is said to cause deadly
earthquakes. Identically, Chinese legend states that Bai Ze, a gorgeous beast with a flowing white
mane, large horns, and several eyes, warned the Yellow Emperor Huang Di when he was on patrol. It
is said that the monster taught the Emperor how to defeat many types of supernatural beings. This
myth also spread to Japan as a kutabe, which appeared to warn a village of a coming plague. The
white creature seems to fit Absol s pokédex entries, an overview of a pokémon, which talk about it
emerging from the wilderness to inform humans of oncoming disasters (Young). Even in pop culture,

Functions of Ubiquitin Specific Proteases Essay
Eukaryotic cells rely on the ubiquitination of proteins for the proper control of their internal processes.
Adding multiple ubiquitin groups aids in the breakdown of proteins, whereas adding only one
ubiquitin serves regulatory roles other than degradation. The enzymatic activity of two protease
classes frees ubiquitin groups from associated proteins: Ubiquitin specific proteases (USP) and
Ubiquitin C terminal hydrolases (UCH). USPs are strongly involved in eukaryotic cellular functions
and are found in copious amounts. Certain protein ligases attach ubiquitin to proteins, which degrades
them and interferes with normal cellular functions. The discovery of a specific de ubiquitinating
enzyme (HAUSP/USP7) found in humans was due to its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The labels associated with the resulting proteins from previous steps were rinsed and removed. USP7
was purified and utilized in sedimentation trials in varying concentrations. Absorbance analysis was
carried out after the samples were centrifuged. EBNA1 was purified, ubiquitinated, and combined
with USP7, which was purified in previous steps. SDS PAGE was used to disrupt the protein
interaction and separate them. The separated fragments were then used in a western blot, and analyzed
after probing. The affinity of USP7 for EBNA1 and p53 was tested using a stepwise combination of
titration, incubation, and fluorescence analysis. Lastly, amino acid residues of EBNA1and USP7 were
studied by gel filtration and size exclusion chromatography. USP7 was found as hexahistidine fusion
after being inserted (through a vector) in insect cells. The de ubiquitinating capacity of USP7 for
conjugated ubiquitin groups was observed on EBNA1, and was shown to an efficient process. The
capacity of USP7 to de ubiquitinate specific proteins in various environments (acidity, presence of
inhibitors, and salt concentration) was studied. As seen in figure 2, USP7 sensitivity to salt
concentration and acidity showed a steep slope followed by a plateau at lower salt concentrations and
higher pH levels, while lower pH and higher salt concentrations rendered a steeper, less plateau like
graph. USP7 was found to be a monomer with multiple domains, each involved

To What Extent Did Stalin Establish a Personal...
To what extent did Stalin establish a personal dictatorship in the years 1929 1939? Between 1929 and
1930 Stalin used various ways to establish a personal dictatorship. This allowed Stalin to establish a
personal dictatorship in these years. In order to do this Stalin instituted a party purge to silence the
opposition of Riutin and his supporters, the assassination of Kirov, executed delegated party

In the following eighteen months, 34,000 soldiers were purged from the army. This silenced the
opposition of Riutin and his supporters. With this Stalin had no problems to establish a personal
dictatorship as his opponents would have been in fear to rise up or oppose against Stalin s ideas. The
Trail of the twenty one in 1938 was the trial of Bukharin, Rykov and their accomplices. The
defendants were accused of attempting to overthrow socialism and of the murder of Kirov, Bukharin
was personally charged with attempting to assassinate Lenin. Bukharin tried to prove his loyalty to
Stalin but failed on several occasions. Bukharin confessed to political responsibility for the crimes of
which he was accused, however Bukharin never confessed to trying to assassinate Lenin. All attempts
failed and Bukharin was sentenced to death. With the execution of Zinoviev, Kamenev and Bukharin,
Stalin had shown that there will be no mercy for those who opposed his power. With the elimination of
Bukharin and the right, Stalin had no opposition to prevent him from gaining power. The show trials
targeted the previous generation of the Communist Party. The Purges of 1937 wiped out younger
members of the party, and dealt with unreliable elements within the army. A general purge of the
Russian people kept the country in a state of fear and obedience. This enabled Stalin to establish a

Speech On Optimism
Jon Jusufi 8th grade
Sir Winston Churchill once said: A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees
the opportunity in every difficulty.
If I think I cannot do something, after a while I will not be capable of doing it. And vice versa if I truly
believe that I can do something, I will try my best to do it. And this is not only about actions we are
capable of doing or not. Most importantly, it is about what we think we are. If you are an optimist you
love your life and think of yourself and the others around you as great people. If you are a pessimist
you do not really care about who you are and you do not give your life a meaning. Optimism makes us
have dreams. Those dreams eventually turn into goals and to accomplish those goals we get
perseverant, we care about the people around us and we try to live a healthy live.
Optimism leads to perseverance. If we really believe that what we think is right, optimism us protect it

It is in human nature to work and live together with other people and to give a part of ourselves to the
others around us. Optimism is very important here because an optimist tries to make the world a better
place by making the people better people. Optimists help everyone in their community as much as
they can in every possible way. Sometimes people just need to hear some good words and that is what
optimists are great at. You have probably heard the story about the one bad apple that turned all the
good apples bad. Optimism is the exact opposite because one optimist has the power to make all the
people around him or her to see life from a positive point of view. This is one of my favorite things

Theme Between Rear Window And Disturbia
Sitting alone trapped inside my home watching my neighbors. This setting is a description of the plot
in the films Rear Window by Alfred Hitchcock (1954) and Disturbia by D.J Carusso(2007).These two
films contain many similar themes which are a part of the movie s plot but are slightly different. The
two films both contain a vast amount of voyeurism presented in different ways. In both films women
are treated rude, disrespectfully and are victims of violence. Both films also share the theme of
Isolationism which contributes to the plot, tone and development of characters. The films are so alike
in comparison and little in contrast that it would lead you to believe that Disturbia is a modern remake
of Rear window. First off let s discuss the voyeurism presented in both of the films. In the film Rear
window Jeff is shown on numerous occasions was shown watching a woman from his window
dancing and, changing in her underwear while smiling at the sight. This form of voyeurism is shown
in Disturbia when kale is also shown watching his neighbor Ashley from his window on many
occasions while she is swimming and changing clothes. Kale also was shown watching women in
swim wear on his TV. The contrast of voyeurism in the films is that in Disturbia it is shown more. The
theme of voyeurism is presented almost the exact same way between the two films. Secondly in both
films women are treated rudely, disrespectfully and are the objects in which violence is inflicted upon.

The Myers-Briggs Personality
This past Friday the Myers Briggs test determined my personality to be within the INFJ category. The
character description helped me to identify different aspects of my personality, and I have reviewed
the major ways I communicate with others and progress through various emotions. The career page
encouraged me to consider possible careers matching the conditions under which I best thrive. The
review also pinpointed my God given gifts, showing my role in His will. As my result connotates, I
am predominantly introverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging. I had only a slight preference of
introvert over extrovert, playing likewise to the facts that INFJs have outward reaching outlooks and
seek to empathize with others on an intimate level.

International Accounting Standards Board ( Fasb )
Executive Summary
Lease is one of the most important measures in providing an overall financial obligations of a
company. It s a way of gaining access to assets, obtaining finance and reducing risk of assets
ownership (IFRS Exposure Draft Leases 2013, pp. 5). However, existing lease recognition under
standard AASB 117 is limited and inconsistent, it does not provide a clear picture to the existing
financial statement users.
Thus on May 2013, International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and Financial Accounting
Standards Board (FASB) has issued ED/2013/6 Lease.
This report will observe:
The fundamental meaning of the term lease and its characteristics. Then by drawing on ED/2013/6, it
will explain how companies (lessees) are required ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Type B Leases of property example land.
According to ED/2013/6 entity (lessee) should recognise a lease in the books in the following way:
Step 1 Initial Measurement
Lessee is required to initially recognise all leases on balance sheet as asset and lease liability at the
present value of lease payments.
EXCEPTION Entity is not required to record asset and lease liability in the balance sheet only if the
lease is a short term lease.
Step 2 Subsequent Measurement
(I) Type A leases Lessee would subsequently measure the amortisation on the right of use asset
according to the existing IFRS for the non financial assets, measured at cost, using straight line
method or other systematic method which represents the use of an asset. Further, the unwinding of the
discount on the lease liability (as interest) will be shown separately from the amortisation of the right
of use asset.
(II) Type B Leases Lessee would recognise periodic lease expenses (amortise the right of use asset) on
a straight line basis over the lease term. The lessee would recognise periodic lease expense as the
greater of the following:
Calculated amortisation cost at the start of the period using straight line method.
Interest expense for a period on the lease liability by using the effective interest method.
In this case, lessee would need to combine the amortisation of the right of use asset with the
unwinding of the discount on the lease liability.

Class Moe The Reasons for the Success of the Bolsheviks and the Outcomes for Their Success
The Bolsheviks played quite a successful role in the October Revolution. There were many reasons
that helped the Bolsheviks seize power and transform Russia into a modern socialist society namely,
the weakness of the provisional government, Lenin s great leadership, Trotsky s control, and finally,
the Bolsheviks successful propaganda. These acts shaped the Bolshevik Party and gained it social,
political, and economic support from the lower classes. This all resulted in both the creation of the
Soviet Union and the Civil War. The Bolsheviks went from being an insignificant radical party to a
political ruling majority.
Firstly, The Provisional Government was a temporary government for Russia ... Show more content on

the Provisional Government unless the Soviet agreed. This weakened the Provisional Government s
power as it did absolutely nothing in trying to end the Soviets power.
The Provisional Government harmed itself with many bad decisions and not having the ability to
control the numerous problems in Russia. The Provisional Government s bad decision of continuing
the war led to inflation in the economy, bad living conditions for the lower classes. The great demand
of food for the soldiers led to extreme hunger issues for the peasants and workers. Therefore, the
peasants anger made them attack and capture nobles lands. The Provisional Government couldn t
manage to end the issues, as it sent troops to take back the lands from the peasants and set up Death
Squads to execute the deserting soldiers. These acts lost the people s support and faith in the

Galapagos Islands Research Paper
Discovered in 1535, the Galapagos Islands have been a place of mystery and wonder for centuries.
The Galapagos Islands are a group of volcanic islands located approximately 1000 kilometers west of
the South American coast on the equator. Thirteen main islands make up the island chain, along with 6
smaller islands and numerous other islets, small rocks, and pinnacles, with a total land surface area of
approximately 8,000 square kilometers. The islands are known for their unique species of countless
different animals, found nowhere else in the world, and for the discoveries made by Darwin at this
island chain. The Galapagos Islands are unique in many aspects, including the hot spot underneath, the

These crater like volcanoes are quite an uncommon occurrence, although they are not unique to just
the Galapagos. However, the unusual part of these calderas is their size, especially compared to their
relation to the size of the volcano. Calderas form after a collapse of a magma chamber located under
the surface. The magma in these chambers give support to the volcano, but after the magma
withdraws, the surrounding rock becomes unsupported and cannot bear the weight above them, and
therefore they collapse. These calderas do not form in just one collapse; they slowly grow after many
collapses. This was proven after a partial collapse of the caldera on Fernandina in 1968, as part of the
crater dropped nearly 200 meters. Several other smaller collapses have occurred on Fernandina as well
as other islands since the collapse in 1968. These calderas can also be refilled with magma, partially or
all the way, and then reform. An example of this is Isla Marchena, located in the northeast, which has
nearly been filled all the way with lava. If these calderas drop below sea level and part of the rim
breaks, the caldera can form a bay just as Genovesa s caldera

No Superiority Between The Sets Of Rules
The enforcement rules applying to dealings with registered titles are superior to the enforcement rules
applying to dealings with unregistered titles. Critically discuss.
At first glance, it wouldn t be wrong to assume that the rules applied to dealings with registered titles
are superior to those of unregistered titles. However having taken a more in depth view, this would no
longer appear to be the case, in fact , it would be accurate to assume there is no superiority between
the sets of rules. Therefore the purpose of this essay is to by using various sources to show support to

So in order to meet the needs of both sets of individuals the enforcement rules were developed through
case law and then statue.
There are two very different systems of dealing with both unregistered and registered land. In order to
support the view that neither is superior to the other we must discuss why we have two different sets
of rules. The fundamental distinction between unregistered and registered land is that the basis of title
to unregistered land is possession, whereas the basis of registered title is the fact of registration
Within unregistered land, there is no register instead the owner of the land will have a collection of
deeds showing an different transfers proving the devolution of the title.
In order to be able to analyse the enforcement rules we must know what they are. The enforcement
rules which apply to unregistered land are stated in the Land charges Act 1972 which relate to the
individuals being required to register their interest over land so that I can be protected. The Law of
Property Act 2002 governs the enforcement rules regarding the registered titles. This requires the
compulsory first registration of their interest/title.

Margaret Sanger s Stand Up For Birth Control Rights
Imagine being a married woman in your 30 s during the beginning of the twentieth century. You are
worn out from giving birth multiple times and you are desperate to know of a way to prevent yourself
from having more children. This was the exact case for millions of women in the twentieth century.
Women had no rights as a person, nor did they have any rights to their own bodies. In this era, the
topics of sexuality, sex or birth control were all taboo subject matters and never discussed between
married or un married couples. It wasn t until the year of 1912 that a woman by the name of Margaret
Sanger started her crusade to promote the right for women to use contraceptives to prevent unwanted
pregnancies. In this essay, I will discuss what inspired Margaret Sanger to stand up for birth control
rights. I will also explore the trials and legal issues that Sanger came up against. Lastly, I will talk
about the victory and the difference Sanger made for women in the twentieth century. Margaret Louise
Higgins (Sanger was her married name) was born in the year of 1879 in Corning, New York. She was
sixth of eleven children and was born into an Irish American family. Margaret knew at a very young
age that she wanted to make a difference to empower women and to leave her mark on the world.
Margaret was first inspired to go into the nursing field after witnessing her own mother die at the
young age of forty from tuberculosis (TB). Margaret s mother endured eighteen pregnancies but, she

Comparing Death of a Salesman and The American Dream
In Arthur Miller s Death of A Salesman and Edward Albee s The American Dream, Willy Lowman and
Mommy possess the trait of superficiality. Their priorities are to look good and be liked, and this
contributes to their misguided paths to reach success. This attribute is one of many societal criticisms
pointed out by both authors. Arthur Miller criticizes society for perceiving success as being liked and
having good looks. He illustrates society s perception through Willy, who thinks the keys to success
are being popular and attractive. Willy transmits this philosophy to his sons by ignoring their

Willy continues to teach his sons his misguided values by telling them education is almost useless and

who creates personal interest, is the man who gets ahead. Be liked and you ll never want. (pg. 33)
Willy is now misleading his sons into thinking good looks will keep them alive in the corporate world
and education won t, yet Willy is a man with respectable looks and he isn t surviving in the same
world. Fifteen years later, Willy continues to preach the same theory, even after he has seen both his
sons fail in the world, having been guided by his words. Prior to Biff s proposal to Bill Oliver for ten
thousand dollars , Willy is still stuffing his sons heads with the same misleading advise.
It s not what you say, it s how you say it because personality always wins the day. (pg. 65)
Willy s final words of advise to Biff are no different than his first and no more educational. Biff, like
Willy, does not learn from his mistakes and steals a fountain pen from Bill Oliver, leaving him unable

After carefully reviewed all the facts, evidences and interviews of those associated in John s case, as a

John s parents are unwilling to cooperate in the treatment programs, under the Parens Patriae concept,
I would have to put him on probation in order to help deter John from committing crime in a future. In

First, John is not considered delinquent because this was his first offense and based on his statements,
it seemed to me that John wasn t aware of the consequences that would follow his actions and
furthermore, John simply had a mindset that his action was normal and that his friends did it all the

Heart Of Darkness
Heart of Darkness Self restraint may be alien to the human temperament, but humanity without
restraint will dig its own grave (Mannes). This quote by Marya Mannes creates a very accurate picture
of what a debacle man creates when casting away one s conscience, and indulging in the flesh. The
distinctions between right and wrong, in other words a conscience, are the basis of Joseph Conrad s
book, Heart of Darkness. His book exemplifies the importance of living life distanced from our natural
and sinful desires. Furthermore, Conrad focuses his reader s attention on the separation between

For example, the contrast between light and dark a chimerical form of symbolism that paints an adroit
picture of the underlying truth of The Heart of Darkness. A perfect portrayal of the light and dark
emphasis in the book is on page 21 when Marlow describes a painting by saying, Then I noticed a
small scotch in oils, on a panel, representing a woman draped and blindfolded, carrying a lighted torch
(Conrad 21). This woman represents the Europeans being blind to the truth of what is going on in the
Congo, and her torch is the truth that the blindfold is blocking. Marlow is like that woman, he came
into the Congo believing a lie that he was brutally faced with, and ultimately falls victim to following.
Additionally, Marlow, who was once morally upright, had been transformed into the very thing that he
abhorred, and ultimately gives into his fleshy desire and abandoning his conscience. Another example
of symbolism is when the chief accountant is described as, a white man in such an unexpected
elegance...starched collar, white cuffs, white alpaca jacket, snowy trousers (Conrad 15). Because of
his white washed appearance in such a dark and horrible place, it symbolizes the hypocrisy of the men

Understanding the needs, concerns and the attitudes of the clients is important on the part of the client
human services providers, since it will help them to provide quality services to the clients. Some
social, cultural, and personal factors do affect the provision of services to the clients. For a client to
gain quality and satisfaction on the goods that are being provided by the service provider, it is
important for the provider to assess their needs and even know them before going to provide the
services to them. This paper aims at looking at the range of problems that affect clients who consume

For example, some people argue that by using a family planning method, the user will eventually
become infertile. This is only a rumor and has not scientifically proven. Nonetheless, it prevents many
people from receiving the service because of associating the rumor to family planning methods (Stan,
2011).
Access, costs and availability are also factors that serve to render the provision of human services to
be ineffective. A client may be very willing to utilize the service but they cannot asses the service. The
best method in ensuring service delivery if effective is by making sure that all the prospective and
targeted clients can access the service. The issue of distance affects many clients in receiving human
service s needs. The human service providers may determine the point of access and assume that it is
favorable for all the clients. On the contrary, the point of access may be a long distance for some
clients. Such clients will not be able to get the services. The other factor related with these is cost.
Some human services are very costly to the clients. To get them, the clients have to dig deep into their
pockets. In this note, inadequate finances on the side of the client prevent them from accessing the
services.
Clients have their personal choices and preferences when they are receiving services from the service
providers. The care given will depend on whether the clients have

other DVRs in 6.5 million US households, up from 1.9 million in 2002. That number, the firm claims,

popularity of Netflix, an online subscription service boasting 3 million users, prompted both

Pilates refers to a system of physical fitness that was established in the early 20th century. It was
developed by Joseph Pilates. Joe was a German born in the year 1880. He suffered from rickets,
rheumatic fever, and asthma during his childhood years. Because of the continuous suffering brought

Pilates was not content with the political stand that Germany was nurturing and he left Germany
again. He moved to the United States and settled in the New York upon the commendations of some of
his athlete and colleagues.
He met a lady known as Clara while aboard a steamer on his way to New York. Clara was suffering
from the symptoms of arthritis. Joe offered to cure her soreness through his devices and informed her
of his dream of establishing a studio where he would carry out his work and develop his exercising
methods further. Joe and Clara fell in love and soon after reaching New York they tied the knot. While
in New York Joe continued to develop his methods of exercise and together with Clara, his wife, they
established the very first Pilates studio in New York during the 1920s.
For the following decades, Joe devoted himself to training other people in his methods routines,
developing exercises, and use of apparatus. He also expressed his concepts in writing. He often
considered himself as the ideal test for the rationality of his methods of exercise (Pilates, 2012).

make the work of rapists, robbers, murderers and psychos easier. When faced with gun control laws,
the law abiding citizen has no choice other than to disarm or become an outlaw, but people with bad
intentions are faced with no such moral dilemma.

  • 2. The Vibration Of My Pocket The vibration in my pocket wasn t the first indicator that something was wrong, but instead the last. It was the day after Thanksgiving, every shopper s favorite day and every retail worker s least Black Friday. I was an hour into my shift at Barnes and Noble and was already twitching to get home. The sickly sweet smell of Starbucks and Christmas music filled the air, while frantic customers filled the store. Reluctantly I let the phone call go to voicemail. A tight lump in my throat began to form. I can help who s next. I yelped out. A middle aged women and what I presumed to be her son approached my register. The vibration in my pocket started up again. Like a pestering child, I couldn t them shut up. Something is wrong. I needed to answer the phone, my brain kept screaming. My brain and phone were like pestering children that wouldn t shut up. Hi, did we find everything okay today? I said grabbing the books from the woman and began ringing them up. She nodded and smiled, pleased with what she was buying. I told her the total, but she wasn t paying attention. She was preoccupied with what she was hearing from the two other customers next to us. ...Snuck out with friends to go shopping and a fight broke out at the mall. She was taken to the hospital. An older man said. Kate snuck out? What does her mom make of all this? The women next to him remarked. She doesn t know. One of Kate s friends text me and asked if I could come get her. Wow. I can t believe ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As public events continue to rise and the demands for spontaneous, strategic, and creative solutions are sought after effortlessly, society is faced with the need to revisit how to successfully manage a diverse workforce. Gary Hamel (2011) spoke on the essence of: the reinvention of management techniques which, challenged managers to rethink how they perform operational functions; in order to, create a solid structure within the current market. Additionally, his [Hamel] presentation broke the seal on stagnate managers and a need to reinvent themselves. Often in many organizational cultures there lays very rigid, traditional and obsolete practices which struggles to remain existent. Organizations are now flooded with multigenerational groups; where baby boomers sought to develop their succession plan exit; now baby boomer are forecasted to have an large representation within the future workforce alongside generation X and Y s. In the past, managers were more seasoned, traditional in administration processes and managed a younger workforce. Due to the current market shift [and potentially the future], managers are comprised of recent college graduates, ingenuities on developments, and overseers of both seasoned and youthful employees. • 4. High School Is A Time Of Great Fun Sophomore year at my school, Greenbrier School District, is our first year of High School. We are the dreaded underclassman of the school. We get the boos at the pep rallys, we get the worst lunch tables, we get the bad parking spots, and worst of all when we mess up everyone knows and finds out. Every High Schooler wants to be cool and liked by everyone especially the cooler Seniors. Everyone experiences in their life the time of being the Sophomore the rookie and when you mess up at that time it seems to affect you more than any other time. We feel the most vulnerable when we are the weaker people, even the smallest things seem to hurt us the most. High School is suppose to be a time of great fun. In my small town of Greenbrier, Arkansas with a population of about five thousand people, our Friday night sports are everything. First Security, a local bank, tailgates before most games, people line up to get good seats, they deck out in panther gear, and everyone is always smiling and having a good time. At school before the games we have huge pep rally s where all 3 grades come together and yell and support the Panthers. A person from the team playing that night speaks about the games and how hard everyone has worked for tonight. No one is ever sitting and everyone finds it enjoyable. School pride is of great value to Greenbrier students. However the same pep rally s that made my life enjoyable, were also the reason I got made fun of for a solid year. We were about ... • 7. Gender Inequality In Gender Changing the Mindset Women have been fighting for equal rights and opportunities since the beginning of time. In the year of 2017 it finally seems as though women finally are receiving these equal opportunities. With movements such as women s suffrage, although long ago, have helped to advance women in places such as the workplace. A big issue with some women nowadays is the wage gap. The problem is not that women are not being paid the same as men in the same positions. It is that men are in higher up positions such as CEOs and grossing more than women. Therefore, the issue is not that there are no equal opportunities for women, it is more of a mindset. Women in 2017, as far as the workplace goes, can achieve anything a man can. It comes back to how we are raised and the current mindsets of Americans. In the United States based upon gender there is now equal opportunity, it is just a matter of whether these opportunities will be ceased. More times than less when growing up people believe and resemble their parents. Growing up Americans have ideas and beliefs instilled in them from their parents. There is a huge difference growing up as a male than a female. Men growing up are told to shoot for the stars and be a business CEO or doctor where as women are more geared towards being a model or nurse. A big part of what goes into inequality in gender is more of a stigma than anything. If we can change the way children are raised, we can change how women can cease these ... • 8. A Constitutional Amendment For Women Essay Into parliament. In Bangladesh there had been a provision, which expired in 2000, to reserve 10% of seats for women in parliament. This expiry resulted in a dramatic decrease in the number of female legislators. A constitutional amendment in 2001 extended women‟s reserved seats from 30 to 45 for a period of 10 years. Prior to this, the reserved seats of 30 enacted in 1978 were about the only route for women into parliament. In 1996, 11 or 3.6% of the seats in the first post the post system was won by women. In 2001 this dropped to 6 or only 2% of the seats in parliament. In 2005, a law increased the overall number of seats in parliament, and 45 of these were reserved for women. These were allocated to political parties on the share of the national vote received in the elections, and the number of women increased to 13% of the seats in the 2005 elections, and in 2008 this increased to 18.6%. In Bangladesh, 19 women won out of the 300 constituency seats, to join 45 appointed women members. The number of women holding ministerial portfolios has never exceeded 3%. As of 2009, nearly 80% of parliamentary standing committees have no women. With the addition of the 45 reserved seats in November 2009, women are now 14.8% of the total positions. Begum has commented: The mode of nomination for reserving seats lies exclusively with political parties. • 9. Cerebral Isolation Using Word Processing Cerebral Isolation Using Word Processing Bianca Barreto Texas Tech University Abstract In general, the brain is thought to be lateralized with the two hemispheres having control of the opposite side of the body and their own functionalities. In this case, the left hemisphere dominates in language and verbal capabilities controlling the right side of the body including the right visual field. Using this fact and the difference in visual fields, subjects were asked to focus on a flashing screen with a pulsating plus sign. Vertically oriented words would flash on either the left or right side of the plus sign in order to isolate individual hemispheres. The time to correctly identify the words was recorded and compared between the left and right visual fields as well as between males and females. In this case, there was a significant difference between visual fields with the right side being significantly faster at processing words. In addition, males showed greater differences between visual fields when compared to females. These findings suggest that the right hemisphere is more selective in word processing and that males are more lateralized than females. Cerebral Isolation Using Word Processing Insufficient information is known about how words are processed by the brain. Within the scientific community, the brain is believed to be lateralized (Tucha, Aschenbrenner, Lange, 2000). In this case, the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body and the ... • 11. Economic Inequality Within The Global Economy Economic inequality can be defined by the unequal access to economic resources, in the form of opportunities, wealth, capital, land, etc., which determine the individual s or the group s level of power. Generally speaking, individuals and groups with high access to resources have high levels of vertical and horizontal power, which in it turn generate more access to resources and power. The unequal access to economic resources is institutionalized within a society. Thus, economic inequality has far reaching effects and manifestations in other social and political institutions. In addition, with increasing role of global economy on national economies, and the increasing inequality in the global market, which is reflecting on increasing inequality in it turn increases inequality within nations. Thus, the interest among political economists has increased in an effort to understand stratification and to create policies which aim to elevate economic inequality globally and nationally. I will argue that the capitalist economic system is inherently unequal. Farther more, it thrives on creating highly level of economic inequality, where resources and capital is concentrated in the hands of the economic elite, while the rest of the population service to provide cheap labor (specialized on non specialized) which increase economic, social, and political inequality in a society. For that reason, I don t believe that economic policies can end inequality globally or national (short from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Being in this course the History of Ecclesiology and Polity, it has taught me many things about the difference in denominations of the church. In the Pauline letters Paul who was a minister of Christ Jesus wanted us to know what were the structures and order of the Gentile churches of his day. He also wanted today s church to know the normative structures and order as well. Jesus was exceptionally clear on how he wishes His church to be organized and managed here on earth in His word. Jesus first wanted us to know that he is the head and highest authority of the church. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy (Colossians 1:18 NIV). Paul during his time delegated authority to help co work and represent him in the administration of his churches. • 14. Analysis Of Troilus And Cressida Essay In the essay, I am attempting to reveal the true character of Cressida as opposed to the reputation she obtains in the play. This is accomplished through the conversations Cressida has with Pandarus and Troilus, where the two men obtain early encounters with Cressida as this noble nature is revealed. In the Shakespearean play, Troilus and Cressida , Cressida is a woman who seems to be easily manipulated by the male characters. Despite being taken advantage of often, she finds herself making light of each terrible situation. Although the men who take advantage only see her as a promiscuous woman, her true nature reveals a completely different Cressida. She is witty, coy, and apparently say, which helps her to adapt to her changing circumstances, none of which are under her control. She is resistant of Troilus at first and then after she falls for him, seems to think somewhat more of him than he deserves, as her dialogue switches from double talk to inflated rhetoric. Shakespeare s Cressida has often been dismissed as a shallow, cold, calculating prostitute; however, some recent evaluations challenge this perception of her character. Where the main concern is of her being faithful to the man who did not save her from being taken by the Greeks, she now depends on wit which has single handedly saved her in past situations. Rather than being calculating or deceptive, Cressida is driven by her own vanity, addicted to romantic displays of affection where her worth as a noble ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Adding multiple ubiquitin groups aids in the breakdown of proteins, whereas adding only one ubiquitin serves regulatory roles other than degradation. The enzymatic activity of two protease classes frees ubiquitin groups from associated proteins: Ubiquitin specific proteases (USP) and Ubiquitin C terminal hydrolases (UCH). USPs are strongly involved in eukaryotic cellular functions and are found in copious amounts. Absorbance analysis was carried out after the samples were centrifuged. EBNA1 was purified, ubiquitinated, and combined with USP7, which was purified in previous steps. SDS PAGE was used to disrupt the protein interaction and separate them. The separated fragments were then used in a western blot, and analyzed after probing. The affinity of USP7 for EBNA1 and p53 was tested using a stepwise combination of titration, incubation, and fluorescence analysis. Lastly, amino acid residues of EBNA1and USP7 were studied by gel filtration and size exclusion chromatography. USP7 was found as hexahistidine fusion after being inserted (through a vector) in insect cells. The de ubiquitinating capacity of USP7 for conjugated ubiquitin groups was observed on EBNA1, and was shown to an efficient process. The capacity of USP7 to de ubiquitinate specific proteins in various environments (acidity, presence of inhibitors, and salt concentration) was studied. As seen in figure 2, USP7 sensitivity to salt concentration and acidity showed a steep slope followed by a plateau at lower salt concentrations and higher pH levels, while lower pH and higher salt concentrations rendered a steeper, less plateau like graph. If I think I cannot do something, after a while I will not be capable of doing it. And vice versa if I truly believe that I can do something, I will try my best to do it. And this is not only about actions we are capable of doing or not. Most importantly, it is about what we think we are. If you are an optimist you love your life and think of yourself and the others around you as great people. If you are a pessimist you do not really care about who you are and you do not give your life a meaning. Optimism makes us have dreams. Those dreams eventually turn into goals and to accomplish those goals we get perseverant, we care about the people around us and we try to live a healthy live. Optimism leads to perseverance. These crater like volcanoes are quite an uncommon occurrence, although they are not unique to just the Galapagos. However, the unusual part of these calderas is their size, especially compared to their relation to the size of the volcano. Calderas form after a collapse of a magma chamber located under the surface. The magma in these chambers give support to the volcano, but after the magma withdraws, the surrounding rock becomes unsupported and cannot bear the weight above them, and therefore they collapse. These calderas do not form in just one collapse; they slowly grow after many collapses. This was proven after a partial collapse of the caldera on Fernandina in 1968, as part of the crater dropped nearly 200 meters. Several other smaller collapses have occurred on Fernandina as well as other islands since the collapse in 1968. These calderas can also be refilled with magma, partially or all the way, and then reform. An example of this is Isla Marchena, located in the northeast, which has nearly been filled all the way with lava. If these calderas drop below sea level and part of the rim breaks, the caldera can form a bay just as Genovesa s caldera ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

So in order to meet the needs of both sets of individuals the enforcement rules were developed through case law and then statue. There are two very different systems of dealing with both unregistered and registered land. In order to support the view that neither is superior to the other we must discuss why we have two different sets of rules. The fundamental distinction between unregistered and registered land is that the basis of title to unregistered land is possession, whereas the basis of registered title is the fact of registration Within unregistered land, there is no register instead the owner of the land will have a collection of deeds showing an different transfers proving the devolution of the title. You are worn out from giving birth multiple times and you are desperate to know of a way to prevent yourself from having more children. This was the exact case for millions of women in the twentieth century. Women had no rights as a person, nor did they have any rights to their own bodies. In this era, the topics of sexuality, sex or birth control were all taboo subject matters and never discussed between married or un married couples. It wasn t until the year of 1912 that a woman by the name of Margaret Sanger started her crusade to promote the right for women to use contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies. In this essay, I will discuss what inspired Margaret Sanger to stand up for birth control rights. I will also explore the trials and legal issues that Sanger came up against. Lastly, I will talk about the victory and the difference Sanger made for women in the twentieth century. Margaret Louise Higgins (Sanger was her married name) was born in the year of 1879 in Corning, New York. She was sixth of eleven children and was born into an Irish American family. Margaret knew at a very young age that she wanted to make a difference to empower women and to leave her mark on the world. Margaret was first inspired to go into the nursing field after witnessing her own mother die at the young age of forty from tuberculosis (TB). In case of John s parents are unwilling to cooperate in the treatment programs, under the Parens Patriae concept, I would have to put him on probation in order to help deter John from committing crime in a future. In this report I will explain the reasons why. First, John is not considered delinquent because this was his first offense and based on his statements, it seemed to me that John wasn t aware of the consequences that would follow his actions and furthermore, John simply had a mindset that his action was normal and that his friends did it all the time. This would place John under the Social Process Theories. The explanation of Social Process Theories according to the textbook, (Clemens F. This woman represents the Europeans being blind to the truth of what is going on in the Congo, and her torch is the truth that the blindfold is blocking. Marlow is like that woman, he came into the Congo believing a lie that he was brutally faced with, and ultimately falls victim to following. Additionally, Marlow, who was once morally upright, had been transformed into the very thing that he abhorred, and ultimately gives into his fleshy desire and abandoning his conscience. Another example of symbolism is when the chief accountant is described as, a white man in such an unexpected elegance...starched collar, white cuffs, white alpaca jacket, snowy trousers (Conrad 15). Access, costs and availability are also factors that serve to render the provision of human services to be ineffective. A client may be very willing to utilize the service but they cannot asses the service. The best method in ensuring service delivery if effective is by making sure that all the prospective and targeted clients can access the service. The debate over gun control in the United States has waxed and waned over the years, stirred by a series of mass killings by gunmen in civilian settings. In particular, the killing of twenty schoolchildren in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012 fueled a national discussion over gun laws and calls by the Obama administration to limit the availability of military style weapons.
