Planning For Non Traditional Families
Worldview Position Paper Planning for non traditional families is becoming more of an issue as the
homosexual rights agenda spreads across America. This issue comes from redefining the family. The
legal chaos and moral chaos as well that comes from redefining the family, is also referred to as the
homosexual agenda and has far reaching impacts. Rodney Chrisman, Legal Chaos: Relating to
Redefining the Family (2011). The homosexual agenda has unique concerns when creating an estate
plan. From Christian worldview estate planning for these non traditional families become a tough
issue at first glance but when treated by using instruction from the bible can become just as easy as
estate planning for traditional families by acting with respect and love as well as to plan accordingly
and take note of the state s guidelines for non traditional families. Estate planning is for everyone not
just the wealthy and traditional, and if one does not plan and have their wishes written down then the
state will plan and disburse assets according to each states laws and statutes. When a client first walks
into the office the paralegal must treat him as a client. For a Christian estate planner this step can
become difficult with non traditional families, however, the bible is very clear on how to treat others.
Paralegals should treat non traditional families with the same love and grace that God has shown to
all. All of us are sinners. Honor as a person made in the image of God. Rodney

The Summers Are Hot, And The Winters s Unique Year Round...
The summers are hot, and the winters are mild. Enjoying Houston s unique year round culture of
entertainment, shopping, and dining may spare little time to attend to your fitness goals. Luckily,
Houston presents a variety of exciting (and tasty) ways to help you stay focused, while having fun all
at once. 1. Houston offers 109 Meet Up groups in the metro area, who gather for the sole purpose of
maintaining healthy lifestyles while encouraging each other along the way. These groups offer interest
for various fitness levels, and are a great way to stay motivated, meet people with similar goals, and
engage in activity that feels more like play than exercise. Various focus of the different groups include
walking, cycling, running, nutrition, body sculpting and transformation, aerobics, dancing, and a
variety of sports related clubs, such as volley ball, soccer, skating, tennis, and golf to name a few. In
the rare occasion that you do not find a group that peaks your particular interest, you are able to start
your own, and invite others to join in! Some groups are free, while others may require a nominal
maintenance fee, or ask that participants cover their own costs for individual activities. Either way,
Houston s Fitness meet up groups are a fast and cost efficient resource helping you stay moving and
motivated. 2. Another source for fun fitness activities is the Houston Parks Recreation Department
(HPARD). Offering many ways to stay active with both indoor and outdoor

Toronto Use Public Transportation
Everyday people in Toronto travel to places using public transportation. Without public transportation,
we wouldn t be able to go to places that are far away from us. We needed them in our everyday life
but there are key problems that surfaces when using public transportation. Public transportation may
seem convenient but for others it may not seem ideal for them from certain circumstances such as the
cost, lack of transportation in a certain area and the delays. These make people not want to ride a
public transportation which is why Toronto should improve on the public transportation to make the
best interest for the people.
In general, everyone needs to go to places everyday whether it is work, visiting a family member, or
just touring around interesting places. In order to go to these places, a person needs money. Public
transportation costs a lot. Some people won t be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a student coming from Vaughan to Union it takes the train every 30 mins to come to the Vaughan.
Having less transportation causes inconvenience which draws to another issue when it comes to
waiting for a bus for twenty minutes. For a change, we should have trains and buses come frequently
in times of rush hours at popular destinations. It saves people valuable time and they can get home
earlier to their family. The government should upgrade their system for express transportation for
those individuals who live far, from Union to Barrie or Union to Brampton. It takes about 2 hours with
few stops in between. Having an upgrade system on express trains will benefit because 2 hours can be
reduced to an hour or 30 minutes train ride. It will make people want to go to trains because it saves
their time. They don t need to use their car as a result it helps lessens the traffic for buses and have
greater improvement opportunities to meet the desired areas foe

Non-Governmental Safety Regulations
Every person on earth needs food to survive. Hence, ensuring that the food we consume is in fact safe
to eat is one of the most fundamentally important actions that an agency, governmental, or otherwise
can take. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO, 2010), the responsibility of
ensuring safe food products is a shared responsibility among government and non government
agencies. When examining the role of non governmental agencies in this important component of the
food market, one might consider their position both in terms of governmental regulations and
independent of these. The role of governments, for example, is to establish policies for food safety by
means of a system of controls to ensure that these are met. The government, however, is not solely
responsible to ensure that these safety standards are met. Indeed, an even more direct responsibly for
ensuring food safety and acceptable standards lie with non governmental entities, including all the
operators within the food chain. Even consumers play a role in ensuring food safety standards by
means of expressing concerns or requirements for the safety of the products that they consume. In
international trade, government and non government agencies also collaborate to ensure acceptable
food safety standards. The rules are imposed within the SPS and TBT Agreements of the WTO. This
means that a uniform food safety standard is provided to ensure the safety of products for all
consumers worldwide,

Type A Personality Analysis
The results of the four personality tests all agree that I value relationships and ideas that can be seen,
touched, and felt. I identify strongly with these core characteristics. However, because of the high
emotional scores, the tests tend to lean towards a humanitarian personality. While I care about others
and do hold convictions on certain matters, the activist theme is not accurate. In my early career,
because of my emotional intelligence, I was encouraged to engage in studies involving social work,
counseling, and teaching. My first two years of college were focused on education until I realized my
brand of emotional intelligence would fit better in a business organization, specifically human
resources. The relational and emotional characteristics come from my Type A personality. The need to
be accepted by my peers will be an ongoing challenge in my career. I do think relationships are
extremely important to achieving goals. I have experienced that it takes time and effort to develop and
maintain relationships with my staff, but it has enabled my team to buy in to our recruitment
initiatives.
The Myers Briggs test indicated that I have a slight preference for introversion over extraversion. This
result surprised me as I feel a strong pull towards introversion. As a faculty recruiter it is highly

Discretion-Related Validity
Essentially, there are a variation of methods to record the job relatedness and precision of a test as a
decision making device, however, a working comprehension of validation should focus on some
general types of validation. According to Heneman, Judge, and Kammeyer
Mueller (2012, p. 335)
Validity is defined as the degree to which a test measures what it is supposed to measure. All the more,
the differences among face validity, construct validity and criterion related validity are as follows:
Face Validity:
Face validity pertains to whether the test looks valid to the examinees who take it (Niche Consulting,
2017). Essentially, face validity encompasses the definition of do the people who are taking the
measure think it looks relevant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Criterion Related Validity is the extent to which a test or questionnaire predicts some future or desired
outcome, for example work behaviour or on the job performance. This validity has obvious
importance in personnel selection, recruitment and development. Whenever possible, the statistical
evaluation of the relationship between selection measures and valued business outcomes is desirable.
This type of validation is known as criterion related validation and it can provide concrete evidence of
the accuracy of a test for predicting job performance. Criterion validation involves a statistical study
that provides hard evidence of the relationship between scores on pre employment assessments and
valued business outcomes related to job performance. The statistical evidence resulting from this
process provides a clear understanding of the ROI provided by the testing process and thus helps
document the value provided. Criterion related validation also provides support for the legal
defensibility of an assessment because it clarifies the assessment s accuracy as a decision making tool.
While criterion related validation may seem mysterious, it has much in common with two more well
known concepts that are used to help find value within business processes: six sigma and business
intelligence. Both of these methods require that data be examined in order to help clarify relations
between various process components. The resulting information can be used to help streamline
business processes and uncover meaningful relationships between various streams of data. The
creation of a feedback loop using criterion validation is really no different (Handler, 2009).Criterion
related validity is the ability of a test to make accurate

King Lear Evil Essay
First of all, the evil characters within the play such as Goneril, Regan, and Oswald got the justice they
deserved. Both of these girls lied and treated those around them cruelly throughout the entirety of the
play. They lied to their father about how much they loved him confessing things like, Sir, I do love
you more than words can wield the matter, / Dearer than eyesight, space, and liberty, / Beyond what
can be valued (I. i. 55 57) just to turn on him once they got the land they wanted. By the end of the
play, they practically became King Lear s enemies as they were plotting to have him killed. For lying
to their father and attempting to kill the man who brought them up and gave them everything they

Albany was one of the good men who doubted the plans of killing King Lear and wanted the best for
the village. But, Goneril saw this as cowardly and would spit out awful things to him like, Milk
livered man / That bear st a cheek for blows, a head for wrongs / Who hast not in thy brows an eye
discerning/ Thine honor from thy suffering (IV. ii. 52 54). Goneril even turned her back completely on
Albany and plotted to kill him so that she could be with Edmund. So, for being disrespectful and
turning their backs on their husbands who were good men, Goneril and Albany deserved to die and
therefore deserved the justice served to them. The final evil character that deserved the fate amongst
him was Oswald. Oswald is Goneril s servant and will do whatever she says, even if the task is
immoral. For example, Goneril asks him to be blatantly rude to Lear and he does so without a second
thought. Oswald also sought out to find Gloucester so that he can kill him and receive a reward. This
proves that he has no morals because he will kill an innocent man if he gets something in return for
doing so. Oswald s loose morals and blind following of his master are what made him rightfully
deserve the justice he got which is his

The Book Thief Analysis
The story, The Book Thief is a tale based upon Nazi Germany during World War II, but the novel was
actually written by Australian author Markus Zusak, who wrote the novel in Sydney back in 2005
Liesel and her mother and brother (Werner) are traveling on a train to Munich when Werner dies.
Liesel and her mother get off the train to bury the body, where liesel steals one of the gravedigger s
books. She and her mother travel towards a town called Molching, where Liesel will be raised by
foster parents, Hans and Rosa Hubermann. Liesel doesn t warm up to Rosa as quickly as Hans
Hubermann. Liesel befriends a boy named Rudy, who instantly becomes fond of Liesel. When Hans
discovers that Liesel doesn t know how to read, he begins teaching her to read using the book she stole
from the gravedigger. During the celebration of Hitler s birthday where people burn books, Liesel
steals a one from the pile of burning books. One day Liesel is invited into Ilsa Hermann s library,
where she admires the shelves of beautiful books. The story then jumps to Max where he leaves a
closet he was hiding inside of, in the town of Stuttgart (Because he is a Jew running from
genocide).Max then decides to travel to the Huberman s house because his father served with Hans
during World War I and died for Mr. Hubermann. Hans promised Max s mother that he would do
whatever he could to help the family if the time ever came. Max hides from the government in the

I Would Never Call You Savage
As they walked through the forest, hearing the crunching of leaves beneath their feet, Leon drew
weary of the quiet. The silence hadn t bothered him when he was alone, but when other people were
entirely quiet he found it difficult to read them. He felt as though the awkwardness was like a gas in
the air, suffocating him. The two forest dwellers on the other hand appeared unperturbed. Could I

Leon began. For what? said Gen, for people who live in the forest? For savages? I would never call

Subprime Meltdown
Subprime Meltdown: American Housing and Global Financial Turmoil Borrowers with a lower credit
score were considered as risky and were called subprime borrowers . Therefore the interest rates on
these loans were higher than the rates given to borrowers with a higher credit rating. In the 1970s it
was very difficult for these borrowers to avail loans. They had to apply through conventional lenders
for loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). The procedure was long and tedious
and required a lot of documentation. Early Days: Lenders traditionally offered the fixed 30 year
mortgage with no prepayment penalties which were offered by the banks and Savings and Loan
Associations (S Ls) However in the 80s short term ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These agencies used their own statistical models to rate the MBSs. They also rated the CDO entities
and underwriters. There was competition between two major rating agencies Moody s and S P. Moody
s was accused of being tough and conservative. It ultimately had to relax its standards in order to get
more business. Another major problem with the rating agencies was that they could be influenced by
the powerful and influential people who were behind major investment banks and hedge funds. Who s
responsible? A crisis of such magnitude cannot be brought about by the actions of one player. The
subprime crisis is a result of the actions/behavior of a number of factors. Who s to be blamed most is a
difficult question to answer. Was it the lenders who gave out mortgage loans to subprime customers at
higher rates, or was it the borrowers themselves who borrowed beyond their means and did not
actually understand the features of the mortgages. And what about the underwriters and insurers who
gave the tranches better ratings through credit enhancement tools. It was these guarantees that made
the investors more confident. The Financial System: Thus the economy trusted that the matured
markets would govern themselves leading to lose regulation. But as the crisis unfolded, it was quiet
evident the markets were not doing what they were supposed to. Everyone, be it the lenders,
borrowers, underwriters, insurers or investors, believed that the housing bubble

The Battle of Yorktown was a major turning point in the Revolutionary War and led to the creation of
the United States of America. After six grueling years of war the end of the war was near. Six months
before the morale of the continental army was at the lowest point of the war. Congress was bankrupt
due to rampant inflation caused by the mass production of continental dollars. The continental army
was being trounced in the south by the British who had regained South Carolina and Georgia. Also
many of the men in the continental army were mutinying. However in July of 1780 a French force

Washington and Rochambeau were planning their march south to Virginia and they were attempting to

From the beginning of the 1912 election, the people could sense the new ideas of Woodrow Wilson

presidential victory in 1912. In contrast to Wilson s New Freedom, Roosevelt s New Nationalism

Board, appointed by the president, oversaw a nationwide system of twelve regional re served districts,

empowered to issue paper money called quot;Federal Reserve Notes. quot; The amount of money in

In 1914, Woodrow Wilson tried to tame the trusts. Again making a personal ap pearance to address

Congress responded with the Federal Trade Commis sion Act of 1914. The new law empowered a
presidentially appointed commission to toughen regulations on interstate commerce. This was
supposed to crush monopolies by wiping out unfair trade policies. Next came the Clayton Anti Trust
Act of 1914, which was meant to further strangle the major monopolies. It lengthened the list of
business practices deemed objectionable in the Sherman Act. Now, price discrimination and inter

Clouds and darkness surround us, yet Heaven is just, and the day of triumph will surely come, when
justice and truth will be vindicated. Our wrongs will be made right, and we will once more, taste the
blessings of freedom (Quoteland). One of her biggest and most important thing in America history
will have to be slavery. She probably had many other thing in history of America. Clearly, then Mary
Todd Lincoln had many great achievements in the history of America. One of her greatest success
would have to be her life before she became the First Lady because she married Lincoln the president.
For example, her family make her become what she is today. Her father, Robert Smith Todd was born
on February 25, 1719 in Lexington Kentucky. They were very wealthy because her father had many
job like being a merchant, lawyer, officer in the War of 1812, and member of Kentucky legislature.
Then he died July 16, 1849 in his hometown (First Lady). Her mother was Elizabeth Parker Todd and
she died when Mary was only seven. It was hard for once her mother died but then after that her father
remarried. She was one of fifteen children in her family (Robertson 161). Many of her family and
other ancestors fought in the American Revolutionary War (Mary Todd Lincoln). Like her brother

Once Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said,
O Allah! Make me among those who, when they commit an act of virtue , feel good, and when they

Forgiveness from God :
The word Allah is Most Merciful are repeated many times throughout the Quran. In Islam, the
individuals who commit a sin ask for forgiveness directly from God , there is no intermediary . In the
Quran it says,
God loves those who turn unto him in repentance and He loves those who keep themselves pure .
From human being :
A lot of deeds happens which is against to the feeling of human being which leads in destruction of

For forgiveness of such acts Allah says it is necessary to rectify first from the human being then to

The Short Term Significance Of De Stalinization On Russian...
Assess the short term significance of De Stalinization on Russian politics and society
The contemporary materials make it clear that De Stalinization was quite significant in making an
impact of Russian politics and society. It had been put into practise once Joseph Stalin the head of
state of the Soviet Union had died in 1953. De Stalinization had a significant impact on Russia in
many ways; it affected Russian politics, society, communism in Russia, the freedom of the country
and also Khrushchev. The idea of de Stalinization was the completely remove the repressive pressure
on Russia that was set by the tyrannical leader Stalin. Khrushchev believed that Stalin had damaged
Russia both politically and socially and wanted to eliminate the mark Stalin had on Russia and its
people.
The step taken towards putting de Stalinization in to practise was taken by Nikita Khrushchev, when
he had given a secret speech to the Twentieth Party Congress. His speech consisted of the personality
cult and its consequences, where he had spoke about the dictatorship of Stalin and how he had affected
the country, the people were shocked by the words of Khrushchev, the man who had worked with
Stalin for many years was now denouncing the leader that controlled Russia for 30 years Since not
everyone yet understands what the personality cult led to in practise and what immense damage was

Effect Of Put Call Parity Essay
Effects of put call parity.
Option traders ought to have a decent comprehension of one of the establishments of choice
estimating, the hypothesis of Put/Call Parity. Put/Call equality implies that the estimation of a call
alternative suggests a specific reasonable esteem for the comparing put, and visa versa. To clarify why
this evaluating relationship dependably holds, the whole contention depends on arbitrage. If the
estimation of puts and calls were to veer, arbitrageurs would venture into dispose of any takeoff from
put call equality by making a benefit on hazard free exchanges.
The relationship is strict just for European style choices yet the idea works for American style
alternatives in the wake of modifying for profits and intrigue rates. Dividends raise put values and
diminish call values. If the profit is expanded, the puts terminating after the ex profit date will ascend
in esteem, while the calls will diminish by a comparable amount. Changes in financing costs have the
inverse impact on put and call values. Rising loan fees increase call values and reduce put values.
So what happens if the puts and requires a benefit are not in parity? There are various techniques that
can be utilized for choice arbitrage. The most normal are the change and turn around conversion. The
transformation includes having a long position in the stock while all the while purchasing a put and
offering a call (at a similar strike price). An invert transformation (frequently called an

The Original Myth Of Daedalus And Icarus
The original myth of Daedalus and Icarus was written by Ovid in his story The Story of Daedalus and
Icarus . The story is about Daedalus, who was an architect, and Icarus, his son. They were exiled to an
island that can only be escaped through the air. Daedalus made wax wings that melt if they get too
close to the sun. When Icarus started flying, he flew too high and fell to his death. This story has been
interpreted several different ways; these include: Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, a painting by
Pieter Bruegel; Landscape with the Fall of Icarus , a poem by William Carlos Williams; and Musee
des Beaux Arts , a poem by W. H. Auden. The texts use different elements to portray Icarus death,
which symbolizes man s failure. One

Essay on Cheesecake Factory
Often times when in conversation with friends, peers, and even strangers there is one question that
seems to always come up; What is your favorite restaurant? People are curious in seeing what type of
restaurant you like because when revealing that information it tells more about you than you think.
When telling somebody where you enjoy eating it gives them a sense of how much you re willing to
spend for a good meal, what side of town you like to go to and even gives them a slight glance at your
personality. When asked that question I undoubtingly respond the same way every time; The

There are so many different restaurants serving so many different types of food. There are Chinese
restaurants, Japanese restaurants, Classic American restaurants, Italian restaurants, it makes it difficult
to decide what to eat at dinner time. What gives a restaurant the upper hand over its competition?
The Cheesecake factory has some key strengths that keeps it running at a high level. The Cheesecake
Factory has a low employee turnover rate. That means that once they hire somebody the person
usually keeps the job for a long time. Of course you have situations and instances where some
employees have to be let go for whatever reason, but when you check your numbers as to how many
had to go verses how many are still working in good standings, you have to tip your hat to your
employment staff. Another strength of the Cheesecake Factory is that they have such a large variety of
dishes and desserts. Variety is key when in the restaurant business because many times there are so
many other restaurant that are serving the same style, if not the same exact dishes as you. The
Cheesecake factory have hundreds of different cheesecakes to choose from. You will not find another
restaurant with that much variety in their desserts. Their main courses and appetizers follow suit with
amazingly large selection. One more advantage of the Cheesecake Factory is its ability to appeal to
various kinds of people; in other words, location location location!!! The

Emotional Intelligence And Psychological Depth
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL BEING IN ADOLESCENTS The
general concept of emotional intelligence (EI) is partly rooted in Thorndike s (1920) idea of social
intelligence and Gardner s (1983) theory of multiple intelligences (especially intrapersonal and
interpersonal intelligence). In the current context, EI asa construct was discussed in a dissertation by
Payne (1986), even though as a term it had appeared in the literature much earlier (Leuner, 1966).
Salovey and Mayer (1990) put forward a theoretical model that viewed the construct as a subset of
social intelligence and Goleman (1995) provided a broad and highly influential account that has
nonetheless attracted concerted criticism for its unsubstantiated claims about the vital importance of
EI in people s personal, social and professional lives. The fact that the field still lacks a universally
accepted operational definition has contributed significantly to the emergence of inconsistent and
sometimes, contradictory findings that have often been discussed in the scientific literature (e.g.
Davies, Stankov, Roberts, 1998; Epstein, 1998; Mathews, Zeidner, Roberts, 2002). Psychological well
being has been approached differently by different researchers and views it in different ways. One
view sees it according to the hedonic and eudaimonic approaches of early philosophers. Subjective
well being was first used by Ryan and Deci (2001) as combination of pleasure, displeasure,
satisfaction and

Holmes novel with supreme detail. The story involves four main characters the investigator Sherlock

who is the sister of a wise and timid woman named Helen Stoner. The murder was at Dr.Roylott s

During the story Helen Stoner tells Sherlock and Dr.Watson that ever since their step father,
Dr.Roylott came back everything was strange, so immediately Sherlock had his suspicions for
Dr.Roylott. During Helens meeting with Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson she tells them that she fears
for her life and wants to know why Julia was murdered on the eve of Julia s wedding. Although
Sherlock has his suspicions for Dr.Roylott he still looks out for other clues. Towards the beginning of

Through The Tunnel
Whenever someone accomplishes a huge achievement, they have stories of how hard they worked to
earn it. In almost every single story of accomplishment, there are obstacles the hero has to overcome.
Doris Lessing, a British novelist, had a very hard childhood, full of struggles to survive, and yet she
published 86 novels and won a Nobel Prize in Literature. In Lessing s short story Through the Tunnel,
the main character Jerry faces the challenge of swimming through a long underwater passage. A close
examination of the story shows dark objects represent setbacks while the light represents achievement.
Thus, the initial darkness of the tunnel s appearance, the luminous color of the ocean, and the
changing of light during Jerry s passage through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When he first sees the black wall of rock looming at him (Lessing, 132 133), he is overwhelmed by
the challenge the rock brings. The rock s darkness is a symbol for the struggles Jerry will have to face
while trying to complete his mission. He will have to pass this main hurdle of going into the tunnel
first before he can receive his award. When Jerry goes underwater to try to see the hole in the rock, he
could see nothing through the stinging salt water but the blank rock (142 143). The lack of light
represents how formidable the challenge seems, how hopeless and unrewarding getting to the other
side might be, and how the tunnel will not easily be conquered. This particular trial will require a huge
amount of hard work and effort, as well as the personal strength to keep going even when the situation
seems tough and daunting. The great rock ... rose sheer out of the white sand black, tufted lightly with
greenish weed (241 244). The appearance is extremely intimidating due to its black color and contrast
to the white sand, which makes his journey ahead seem even more difficult than it did before. The
contrast of color and light helps to exaggerate the impressive tunnel. Using dark imagery to portray
the huge rock and the massive hole in it, Lessing expresses how the trials ahead may be difficult, but
the prize at the end will be worth the

Regions Best Rate is 13.17% Monthly

I think that between National First and Regions Best that National first offers the lower rate after

Regions Best. The only thing I worry about it the prime rate changing because if it rises a lot then it

Drought Is A Natural Hazard
Abstract:
Drought is a natural hazard due to adverse climatic changes which affects various sectors like
environment, society and economy. It occurs not only because of the scarcity of rainfall but also due to
the inefficient water resource management. Studies indicate that over 30% of the entire land surface of
earth is affected by drought. As a developing country, majority of Indian population depends directly
or indirectly on agriculture. So the abnormal monsoon precipitation, causing loss of agricultural
production, can highly influence the human life. In this paper, Karur district in Tamil Nadu which
often has a very low annual rainfall is taken as the study area for drought monitoring. The
technological evolution in remote sensing over the past few decades has opened a new era in the field
of drought monitoring. Thus, use of remote sensing and GIS helps in developing early warnings about
drought conditions which will be useful for planning the strategies for relief work. Drought analysis
can be performed by calculating different drought indices like Standard Precipitation Index (SPI),
Standardized Water Level Index (SWI) and Normalized Differences Vegetation Index (NDVI).Rainfall
data from 2000 2009 is used to compute the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) in different time
scales which is used in meteorological drought monitoring. Standardized Water Level Index (SWI)
obtained from ground water level data is used for the hydrological drought analysis.

New rules that are implemented resulting in less penalty minutes for aggressive play (Mick). These
rules are extremely important in youth hockey, bantams especially. The bantam age group is the age
most boys start growing and get more muscular and more prone to aggressive play. This can cause
tremendous injury to a player if one does not think before he hits another player. Many of the players
do not understand how dangerous these acts really can be. The human body is not invincible, although
many think they are. The increase of body checking rules has decreased the injuries that usually come
from these hits about three to twelve times lower. Fifteen percent of the injuries resulting from a body

Hockey is a fast paced sport with little time to react or prepare for a hit correctly. The knowledge of
knowing how to take a hit is just as important on how to distribute a hit. Both can cause significant
harm to both players if not done right. The biggest rule to follow when you are about to get hit is to
have a low base. This means to have your knees bent at about ninety or so degrees and to put most of
your weight on the ball of your foot. This way your center of gravity is lower and you have more
balance. This also protects more of your limbs from getting hit. As opposed to standing up with makes
you unbalanced and prone to worse injuries. Another crucial part of the game is how you give a hit.
Many clinics have been set up to show how to properly hit, but boys tend to ignore the rules and just
try to hit someone has hard as they can. This is why during practice during the regular season it should
be practiced on at least once every week or two weeks. But even the knowledge of how to hit and how
to take a hit isn t enough. Proper stretching and strength training has proven to strengthen muscles and
to allow flexibility and decrease injuries (Mick). More players should take advantage of doing a full,

The Hungry King George Chapter Summary
The story, The Hungry, Hungry King George represents a brief summary of the events that led up to
the American Revolutionary War. After the Seven Years Was (also known as the French and Indian
War) King George III needed a significant amount of money as he was in debt. This idea is depicted in
the story as his ongoing hunger , or need to pay this debt, that cannot be satisfied. Throughout the
story, the phrase But, he was still hungry is continuously repeated to demonstrate the amount of taxes
and restraints that were placed on the colonist under the rule of King George III. This can also be
discerned from the illustrations in the book. There are two major aspects that signify this: the
increasing amount of King George s gold and his expanding waistline. King George s weight ... Show

For example, the Boston Massacre, where five colonists were killed by British soldiers after the
colonist started throwing snowballs at the soldiers, was left out (Holguin). In addition, the battles of
the war, such as the Battle of Concord or the critical Battle of Saratoga, were not included, but can be
surmised, to keep the story concise and to hold the attention of the younger readers (Holguin).
Although it can be inferred, The Hungry, Hungry King George did not directly identify how the
colonist retaliated, through boycotts and other events, against the King and the British Parliament
before the war occurred. One example of this is displayed through the Colonist s Boston Tea Party
where they dressed up as Native Americans and dumped 18 thousand pounds of Tea into the Boston
Harbor (Independence Hall Association). It is also important to note that this story can be a highly
subjective view as it is from the perspective of the colonist only and excludes other major viewpoints
of the war/(altercations between the colonies and the

walking in high black stiletto heels, and you could even hear their shoes striking the ground one after

Illegal Interrogation Of Amanda Knox Analysis
The article The Illegal Interrogation of Amanda Knox shows people through their opinions how the
interrogation was illegal. For example, the article states, Amanda Knox was interrogated repeatedly in
the five days following the murder of Meredith Kercher. They also state that Amanda consistently told
the same story over and over again, repeatedly telling the truth, and that she was told she could not
have a lawyer present. This is bias by omission because they only look at it as if she is not guilty, and
only use their language, they do not provide facts that Amanda actually continuously told the story
over and over again. The article does show videos of the interrogators using physical force and this is
physical evidence of the abuse; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also it goes on to explain more techniques they used, for example they ask the suspect to imagine
hypothetical scenarios by feeding the information that they want the suspect to imagine. Eventually
over a long drawn out interrogation, the suspect gets confused and starts complying with the request
being made to imagine the scenarios. Eventually after the long hours of interrogation with no food or
water Amanda did as she had been told and described an imaginary scenario where she was in the
house covering her ears while hearing the screams of meredith being murdering. After she described
it, the police typed it out and this was Amanda s confession from being interrogated physically and

  • 2. Planning For Non Traditional Families Worldview Position Paper Planning for non traditional families is becoming more of an issue as the homosexual rights agenda spreads across America. This issue comes from redefining the family. The legal chaos and moral chaos as well that comes from redefining the family, is also referred to as the homosexual agenda and has far reaching impacts. Rodney Chrisman, Legal Chaos: Relating to Redefining the Family (2011). The homosexual agenda has unique concerns when creating an estate plan. From Christian worldview estate planning for these non traditional families become a tough issue at first glance but when treated by using instruction from the bible can become just as easy as estate planning for traditional families by acting with respect and love as well as to plan accordingly and take note of the state s guidelines for non traditional families. Estate planning is for everyone not just the wealthy and traditional, and if one does not plan and have their wishes written down then the state will plan and disburse assets according to each states laws and statutes. When a client first walks into the office the paralegal must treat him as a client. For a Christian estate planner this step can become difficult with non traditional families, however, the bible is very clear on how to treat others. Paralegals should treat non traditional families with the same love and grace that God has shown to all. All of us are sinners. Honor as a person made in the image of God. Rodney ... Enjoying Houston s unique year round culture of entertainment, shopping, and dining may spare little time to attend to your fitness goals. Luckily, Houston presents a variety of exciting (and tasty) ways to help you stay focused, while having fun all at once. 1. Houston offers 109 Meet Up groups in the metro area, who gather for the sole purpose of maintaining healthy lifestyles while encouraging each other along the way. Various focus of the different groups include walking, cycling, running, nutrition, body sculpting and transformation, aerobics, dancing, and a variety of sports related clubs, such as volley ball, soccer, skating, tennis, and golf to name a few. In the rare occasion that you do not find a group that peaks your particular interest, you are able to start your own, and invite others to join in! Some groups are free, while others may require a nominal maintenance fee, or ask that participants cover their own costs for individual activities. Either way, Houston s Fitness meet up groups are a fast and cost efficient resource helping you stay moving and motivated. 2. Another source for fun fitness activities is the Houston Parks Recreation Department (HPARD). Offering many ways to stay active with both indoor and outdoor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a student coming from Vaughan to Union it takes the train every 30 mins to come to the Vaughan. Having less transportation causes inconvenience which draws to another issue when it comes to waiting for a bus for twenty minutes. For a change, we should have trains and buses come frequently in times of rush hours at popular destinations. It saves people valuable time and they can get home earlier to their family. The government should upgrade their system for express transportation for those individuals who live far, from Union to Barrie or Union to Brampton. It takes about 2 hours with few stops in between. Having an upgrade system on express trains will benefit because 2 hours can be reduced to an hour or 30 minutes train ride. It will make people want to go to trains because it saves their time. • 7. Non-Governmental Safety Regulations Every person on earth needs food to survive. Hence, ensuring that the food we consume is in fact safe to eat is one of the most fundamentally important actions that an agency, governmental, or otherwise can take. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO, 2010), the responsibility of ensuring safe food products is a shared responsibility among government and non government agencies. When examining the role of non governmental agencies in this important component of the food market, one might consider their position both in terms of governmental regulations and independent of these. The role of governments, for example, is to establish policies for food safety by means of a system of controls to ensure that these are met. The government, however, is not solely responsible to ensure that these safety standards are met. Indeed, an even more direct responsibly for ensuring food safety and acceptable standards lie with non governmental entities, including all the operators within the food chain. Even consumers play a role in ensuring food safety standards by means of expressing concerns or requirements for the safety of the products that they consume. This means that a uniform food safety standard is provided to ensure the safety of products for all consumers worldwide, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I identify strongly with these core characteristics. However, because of the high emotional scores, the tests tend to lean towards a humanitarian personality. While I care about others and do hold convictions on certain matters, the activist theme is not accurate. In my early career, because of my emotional intelligence, I was encouraged to engage in studies involving social work, counseling, and teaching. My first two years of college were focused on education until I realized my brand of emotional intelligence would fit better in a business organization, specifically human resources. The relational and emotional characteristics come from my Type A personality. The need to be accepted by my peers will be an ongoing challenge in my career. I do think relationships are extremely important to achieving goals. I have experienced that it takes time and effort to develop and maintain relationships with my staff, but it has enabled my team to buy in to our recruitment initiatives. All the more, the differences among face validity, construct validity and criterion related validity are as follows: Face Validity: Face validity pertains to whether the test looks valid to the examinees who take it (Niche Consulting, 2017). This type of validation is known as criterion related validation and it can provide concrete evidence of the accuracy of a test for predicting job performance. Criterion validation involves a statistical study that provides hard evidence of the relationship between scores on pre employment assessments and valued business outcomes related to job performance. The statistical evidence resulting from this process provides a clear understanding of the ROI provided by the testing process and thus helps document the value provided. Criterion related validation also provides support for the legal defensibility of an assessment because it clarifies the assessment s accuracy as a decision making tool. While criterion related validation may seem mysterious, it has much in common with two more well known concepts that are used to help find value within business processes: six sigma and business intelligence. Both of these methods require that data be examined in order to help clarify relations between various process components. The resulting information can be used to help streamline business processes and uncover meaningful relationships between various streams of data. The creation of a feedback loop using criterion validation is really no different (Handler, 2009).Criterion related validity is the ability of a test to make accurate ... So, for being disrespectful and turning their backs on their husbands who were good men, Goneril and Albany deserved to die and therefore deserved the justice served to them. The final evil character that deserved the fate amongst him was Oswald. Oswald is Goneril s servant and will do whatever she says, even if the task is immoral. For example, Goneril asks him to be blatantly rude to Lear and he does so without a second thought. Oswald also sought out to find Gloucester so that he can kill him and receive a reward. • 28. Emotional Intelligence And Psychological Depth EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL BEING IN ADOLESCENTS The general concept of emotional intelligence (EI) is partly rooted in Thorndike s (1920) idea of social intelligence and Gardner s (1983) theory of multiple intelligences (especially intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence). In the current context, EI asa construct was discussed in a dissertation by Payne (1986), even though as a term it had appeared in the literature much earlier (Leuner, 1966). Salovey and Mayer (1990) put forward a theoretical model that viewed the construct as a subset of social intelligence and Goleman (1995) provided a broad and highly influential account that has nonetheless attracted concerted criticism for its unsubstantiated claims about the vital importance of EI in people s personal, social and professional lives. The fact that the field still lacks a universally accepted operational definition has contributed significantly to the emergence of inconsistent and sometimes, contradictory findings that have often been discussed in the scientific literature (e.g. Davies, Stankov, Roberts, 1998; Epstein, 1998; Mathews, Zeidner, Roberts, 2002). Psychological well being has been approached differently by different researchers and views it in different ways. One view sees it according to the hedonic and eudaimonic approaches of early philosophers. He will have to pass this main hurdle of going into the tunnel first before he can receive his award. When Jerry goes underwater to try to see the hole in the rock, he could see nothing through the stinging salt water but the blank rock (142 143). The lack of light represents how formidable the challenge seems, how hopeless and unrewarding getting to the other side might be, and how the tunnel will not easily be conquered. This particular trial will require a huge amount of hard work and effort, as well as the personal strength to keep going even when the situation seems tough and daunting. The great rock ... rose sheer out of the white sand black, tufted lightly with greenish weed (241 244). The appearance is extremely intimidating due to its black color and contrast to the white sand, which makes his journey ahead seem even more difficult than it did before. The contrast of color and light helps to exaggerate the impressive tunnel. Using dark imagery to portray the huge rock and the massive hole in it, Lessing expresses how the trials ahead may be difficult, but the prize at the end will be worth the ... I think that between National First and Regions Best that National first offers the lower rate after computing the EAR. National first is also only compounded semiannually making it lower then Regions Best. The only thing I worry about it the prime rate changing because if it rises a lot then it could possibly become a higher interest rate them Regions best. • 34. Drought Is A Natural Hazard Abstract: Drought is a natural hazard due to adverse climatic changes which affects various sectors like environment, society and economy. It occurs not only because of the scarcity of rainfall but also due to the inefficient water resource management. Studies indicate that over 30% of the entire land surface of earth is affected by drought. As a developing country, majority of Indian population depends directly or indirectly on agriculture. So the abnormal monsoon precipitation, causing loss of agricultural production, can highly influence the human life. In this paper, Karur district in Tamil Nadu which often has a very low annual rainfall is taken as the study area for drought monitoring. The technological evolution in remote sensing over the past few decades has opened a new era in the field of drought monitoring. Thus, use of remote sensing and GIS helps in developing early warnings about drought conditions which will be useful for planning the strategies for relief work. Drought analysis can be performed by calculating different drought indices like Standard Precipitation Index (SPI), Standardized Water Level Index (SWI) and Normalized Differences Vegetation Index (NDVI).Rainfall data from 2000 2009 is used to compute the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) in different time scales which is used in meteorological drought monitoring. Standardized Water Level Index (SWI) obtained from ground water level data is used for the hydrological drought analysis. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These rules are extremely important in youth hockey, bantams especially. The bantam age group is the age most boys start growing and get more muscular and more prone to aggressive play. This can cause tremendous injury to a player if one does not think before he hits another player. Many of the players do not understand how dangerous these acts really can be. The human body is not invincible, although many think they are. The increase of body checking rules has decreased the injuries that usually come from these hits about three to twelve times lower. Fifteen percent of the injuries resulting from a body check are concussions (Mick). Concussions are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hockey is a fast paced sport with little time to react or prepare for a hit correctly. The knowledge of knowing how to take a hit is just as important on how to distribute a hit. Both can cause significant harm to both players if not done right. The biggest rule to follow when you are about to get hit is to have a low base. This means to have your knees bent at about ninety or so degrees and to put most of your weight on the ball of your foot. This way your center of gravity is lower and you have more balance. This also protects more of your limbs from getting hit. As opposed to standing up with makes you unbalanced and prone to worse injuries. Another crucial part of the game is how you give a hit. Many clinics have been set up to show how to properly hit, but boys tend to ignore the rules and just try to hit someone has hard as they can. This is why during practice during the regular season it should be practiced on at least once every week or two weeks. But even the knowledge of how to hit and how to take a hit isn t enough. Proper stretching and strength training has proven to strengthen muscles and to allow flexibility and decrease injuries (Mick). More players should take advantage of doing a full, warm up before a game. This decreases chance of injury while also increasing the performance of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Hungry King George Chapter Summary The story, The Hungry, Hungry King George represents a brief summary of the events that led up to the American Revolutionary War. After the Seven Years Was (also known as the French and Indian War) King George III needed a significant amount of money as he was in debt. This idea is depicted in the story as his ongoing hunger , or need to pay this debt, that cannot be satisfied. Throughout the story, the phrase But, he was still hungry is continuously repeated to demonstrate the amount of taxes and restraints that were placed on the colonist under the rule of King George III. This can also be discerned from the illustrations in the book. There are two major aspects that signify this: the increasing amount of King George s gold and his expanding waistline. King George s weight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, the Boston Massacre, where five colonists were killed by British soldiers after the colonist started throwing snowballs at the soldiers, was left out (Holguin). In addition, the battles of the war, such as the Battle of Concord or the critical Battle of Saratoga, were not included, but can be surmised, to keep the story concise and to hold the attention of the younger readers (Holguin). Although it can be inferred, The Hungry, Hungry King George did not directly identify how the colonist retaliated, through boycotts and other events, against the King and the British Parliament before the war occurred. One example of this is displayed through the Colonist s Boston Tea Party where they dressed up as Native Americans and dumped 18 thousand pounds of Tea into the Boston Harbor (Independence Hall Association). It is also important to note that this story can be a highly subjective view as it is from the perspective of the colonist only and excludes other major viewpoints of the war/(altercations between the colonies and the ... • 37. An Adventure in New York City As the stars lit up in the big apple and the sun set down towards the west creating a small fog of air around us, me and my sister decided to take a last look at the world famous time square, before we left for home. It was the middle of winter and snowing in the city of hopes of dreams. My sister and I were bundled up with a bright white polar jacket, scarves and Eskimo hats. I could feel the goose bumps racing up to my arms, making my teeth clatter against each other and giving me the chills. As we continued to walk through the streets, the smell of crunchy peanuts, salted pretzels and greasy hotdogs filled up the air and made my mouth water. The smell was so appealing that it tempted me to stop and try some. My sister and I waited in the long crowded line for the world famous hotdogs. I looked around the city while then and tried to observe everything around me. I saw people scurrying to grab a taxi, talking on the phone, or even listening to their stereos around their shoulders and it seemed as if they were all lost in their own worlds. Most of the men were all dressed up in their bright black, Louis vitton suits with briefcases in their right arms and iphone 5 s on the other, while the women were walking in high black stiletto heels, and you could even hear their shoes striking the ground one after the other from miles away. The enormous sky scrapers around me covered the blanket of grey clouds above us. The flat iron, empire state building and so many more world ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 39. Illegal Interrogation Of Amanda Knox Analysis The article The Illegal Interrogation of Amanda Knox shows people through their opinions how the interrogation was illegal. For example, the article states, Amanda Knox was interrogated repeatedly in the five days following the murder of Meredith Kercher. They also state that Amanda consistently told the same story over and over again, repeatedly telling the truth, and that she was told she could not have a lawyer present. This is bias by omission because they only look at it as if she is not guilty, and only use their language, they do not provide facts that Amanda actually continuously told the story over and over again. The article does show videos of the interrogators using physical force and this is physical evidence of the abuse; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also it goes on to explain more techniques they used, for example they ask the suspect to imagine hypothetical scenarios by feeding the information that they want the suspect to imagine. Eventually over a long drawn out interrogation, the suspect gets confused and starts complying with the request being made to imagine the scenarios. Eventually after the long hours of interrogation with no food or water Amanda did as she had been told and described an imaginary scenario where she was in the house covering her ears while hearing the screams of meredith being murdering. After she described it, the police typed it out and this was Amanda s confession from being interrogated physically and mentally by 12 Italian police, This source shows extreme bias against the interrogation in general especially through this statement, by word choice, they have word choice such as long drawn out interrogation , mind games , all of the language is completely bias and wants the reader to feel bad for amanda.
