Psychoanalysis of The Scarlet Letter Sigmund Freud created the psychoanalytic theory of
personality, of which there are three elements; the id, the ego and the superego. These elements
all work in conjunction with each other to create complex human behaviors. Freud originally
came up with the theory while he was performing dream work studies, since some elements exist
in the unconscious realm, where the first element, the id, mostly presents itself. Freud describes
the id as a dark, inaccessible part of our personality; a chaos, a cauldron full of seething
excitations. The id knows no judgments of value; no good and evil, and no morality. The second
element is the ego, which is primarily concerned with reality. The ego s task is to find a balance
between the primitive drives of the id and the over morality of the Superego, which aims for
perfection and regulates our sense of right and wrong, the opposite of the id. These elements exist
in our conscious, preconscious and unconscious mind, sometimes overlapping into the different

It seems natural to think about novels in terms of dreams or psychoanalytical realities. Like dreams,
novels are fictions, inventions of the mind that, though based on reality, are by definition not
exactly and literally true. Conversely, dreams may have some truth to tell but like novels their truth
must be interpreted before it can be grasped. Such is the case with John Green s young adult novel,

He is a schemer and a prankster drawing on his strength from having friends around him. He is
only a colonel in that he has the ability to strategize and rank his troops for the purpose of prank

be a transparent, futile exercise because as adults looking back at youth we have the experience
to know where these characters are headed before they even start their journey. However, for
young adults who are still in the throes of existential angst this is a powerful novel that handles
teenage rites of passage and coming of age issues such as loyalty, friendship, belonging, and even
death and loss very well.

Abstract: This proposal paper analyze and suggest the alternate methods to reduce the heat
dissipation and power consumption of MEMS phase shifters while they are being used in the real
time environment i.e., in a closed loop operation. So many advancements in the MEMS technology
make the MEMS production very effective, but still there are some drawbacks in its structure and
in its performance, which pulls the system efficiency to down. Self and mutual inductions are the
two major run time defects which affects the performances of the MEMS devices and increases its
power consumption when there is a physical data link between two blocks. If the proper steps are
taken then, the measurement results can range up to 40dBm at 75 GHz or even more. Hence by
using alternate methods for the communication between the two blocks using PIC 16f778
controller we can reduce the temperature rise in all Si phase shifters, which is 20 30 times lesser
than the conventional MEMS phase shifters. Also by implementing this idea we can reduce the
fabrication cost and we can make a great revolution in the field of embedded systems.

The last man The day was April 30th, just like any normal day. I dragged myself out of bed and

As a Chinese immigrant who lived in the USA for four years, I have been amazed by the western
architects and architectures introduced in lectures and textbook. Buildings like Sagrada Familia,
Guggenheim Museum, Burj Al Arab, and even the White House have attracted my interested
toward architecture by bringing me endless awes and wonders. Out of so many famous and
recognizable architects who designed marvelous buildings, this special Chinese family attracts extra

Contextualism is an important paradigm in architectural education and practice based research.
Context in architecture refers to the surroundings or setting in which the building is placed. In
doing so, architectural cues derived from the context play an important role in creating
architectural vocabulary. The changing dynamics of society is forcing designers to think beyond
the locals. In the process, new development is fulfilling the demands of the society, but at the same
time it is generating the sense of placelessness. Traditional built forms as physical context and
social anchorage are remaining only as a backdrop for urban development. In such situation, lack of
sense of place, identity and continuity are the major challenges in proposing architectural language.
Various theories and approaches have been suggested to address the issue. This paper is an attempt
