Corporate Dinner Swot Analysis Essay
The analysis of the SWOT s for each business identified the forces that influence the strategies that
need attention or are innovative. Splitting the columns up into strengths and weaknesses allowed
for an objective look at which strategies would prove to be more profitable. The Corporate Dinner
initially looks like it is good business with potentially have 350 expected guests. With a time frame
of one hour, many drinks will not be poured. Alcohol has a high profitmargin, where a lot of
money can potentially be made. The average person may have 2 drinks total. The costof each drink
is high which will result in profit. The bartender will just have to push the higher priced drinks to
maximize the short time frame. There is an estimate of 350 guests. This could be 50 people or the
total 350. Food cost will fluctuate with the number of people attending. You can t cost out how
much each item will be or how much to make per person at this stage with an estimated count. The
menu prices are not inclusive of the 23% servicecharge and the 10% DC sales tax. This means that
you will be making money. The service charge and sales tax will be added on top of the initial bill.
Charging for parking is also advantageous. That money is a direct profit because each person is
paying for their own. There is no one to pay or a middle man, since it is self serve. Most people
will use the reserved parking because it is safer and easier. It will probably be dark by the time

Liberals Victory in the 1906 Election
There are various reasons given as to why the Liberals succeeded in winning the 1906 elections,
decline in support towards the Conservative party, a new Liberal attitude which enabled its
members to reunite instead of seeing their seperate ways which is what lead to their initial collapse.
The Conservative Party like the Liberal Party split over the issue of Free Trade and failed to

regarding the issues they believed in and campaigned for enabled them to attack the Conservatives

Spirituality And Mysticism In Varanasi
Banaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as
all of them put together. Mark Twain
Benaras, Kashi or Varanasi, whatever it may be called, this city has been enthralling people from
far and wide, since ages. The spirituality and mysticism of Varanasi, epitomizes everything Indian
in a different and better way than many other cities. Though it is considered as one of the oldest
living cities of the world, yet it presents an incomparable blend of tradition and modernism existing
side by side. With the majestic Ghats on the banks of the Mokshdayini Ganga, the temples, the
narrow by lanes, the art, culture, food and the people; Varanasi keeps unfolding itself like a maze
,which is what attracts the world to Varanasi.
With the aim to take the city along the path of growth, development and to showcase to the world
that Varanasi is much more than temples and ghats, I spent three weeks in Varanasi as a district

American Superheroes Influence On Society During The 1940s
The 1940s were known as the golden age of comics. Many superheroes recognizable in
mainstream popular culture today originated during this time, becoming favorites of the young and
old alike. Unsurprisingly, superheroes usually experience their greatest success during times of
transition and uncertainty, such as America moving from economic crisis into armed conflict
(Bainbridge 746). While this essay will be focusing on the overall influence of all American
Superheroes on society during the 1940s, a specific focus will be placed on two of the most well
known created heroes: Supermanand Captain America. Both Superman and Captain America first
emerged as the nation was coming out of the Great Depression and headed into World War II
(Bainbridge 746). Therefore, protagonists like these two as well as comic books in general were
crucial during the 1940s because they acted as lighthearted distractions from real world issues,
devices of cultural influence as well as a big source of earning for publishers.

Over the last several decades many comic book movies have been released to box office success.
The industry is one that has continued to flourish because of evolving technology to make exciting
and creative displays for entertainment. Comics as a source of entertainment wasn t always the
case. Between the Great Depression and the War, living the American Dream had become a far
fetched idea. Comic books and the introduction of superheroes provided society to escape into a
fantasy world where everything wrong in the world was nonexistent thanks to these heroes.
Additionally, the continued development of superheroes became proved to be positive role models
for kids. The expansion of superhero popularity in the media showed that superheroes thinking
about law and justice spread beyond comics, reaching a large audience (Bainbridge

The Connecticut Compromise
The Connecticut Plan, also known as the Connecticut Compromise was a merger of the Virginia
and the New Jersey Plans. The original Virginia plan wanted representation based on it s state
population and the New Jersey plan wanted an equal number of representatives for all the states.
During the Constitutional Convention in 1787 an agreement was reached between the larger and
smaller states and it was decided that each state should have fair and equal representation and
voting rights. The agreement also laid out the plan for the structure of the representation of each
state. This agreement became known as the Great Compromise and a Bi cameral legislature was
formed and divided into the House of Representatives and the Senate. It was decided

Toussaint Louverture And The Haitian Revolution
Toussaint Louverture was a key icon in the history of the Haitian Revolution. He was known to
this day as the Black George Washington due to the fact that that he fought of 3 empires, France,
Spain, and Great Britain, in order for the slaves in the French colony of Saint Domingue to be
emancipated and free. The ego or in other words the reputation of Toussaint Louverture was
really high during the Haitian Revolution time period. On the other hand, it wasn t always at the
top. Before Toussaint rose to power he was embarrassed of where he came from and his life on
the plantation. Toussaint Louverture started his life as a slave on the BrГ©da plantation.
Toussaint s parents came to Saint Domingue on one of the slave ships from Allada, which is in
Africa. Toussaint s birth or existence was a mystery because there was little to no record of it.1
Also, Toussaint s origin and life as a child was very obscure and he wanted to keep it a secret
from the world. Toussaint was unlike the other slaves on the plantation because he learned how to
read and write and formed many relationships over time with the French plantation masters. Out
of the limited records of Toussaint s early life and the very vague history of his past as a slave
makes the conclusion or prediction that he was embarrassed of his past. It also shows that Toussaint
wanted to be known for what he accomplished during the Haitian Revolution rather than what he
was prior to that such as being a slave. Toussaint also

Defining Marketing
Defining Marketing

Definition of Marketing Marketing is often misunderstood. Ask the average person how they would
define marketing and a majority would reply with something along the lines of commercials, ads,
brochures, and other items used to market a business. Marketing is complex. It is a process, a
practice, and a philosophy. As a process, it moves goods and services from an idea all the way
through to the customer. As a practice, it embodies the elements of product, price, place, and
promotion. As a philosophy, it is the basis of how customers needs and satisfaction are met by the
business product or service. According to Perreault, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nike uses successful and famous sports figures to endorse their products. Consumers are willing
to pay higher prices for items that they view to be superior in quality, reliability, and style. Brand
management is one of Nike s greatest strengths. For example, basketball great Michael Jordan s
success on the basketball court led to hundreds of millions of dollars worth of sales of Nike s Air
Jordan line of products. Tennis, golf, and soccer are other sports where the Nike brand has made a
large impact on fashion, style, and sports equipment. McDonald s is another company whose
marketing success has made it the world s largest food service retailer. It serves millions of
customers around the world and has franchises in more than 100 countries. McDonald s reaction to
consumer trends and expectations is what has risen this empire to the top. The consistency of the
restaurant s product maintains its customer base and meeting social consumer needs by sharing
nutritional information and providing healthy menu options continues to grow its customer base as

Homeland Generation Research Paper
The Homeland Generation. The Post Millennials Name is Now Official
The White House recently released a report where they labeled the youngest generation the
Homeland Generation. A storm of speculations immediately hit the internet. How could the U.S.
government choose such a paranoid and xenophobic sounding name? Was this a creepy joke? Some
claimed the White House took the name out of thin air. Others accused the government of
deliberately spreading shivers of Orwellian terror. Others again implied the White House took the
name from the Showtime political series with the same name; not bothering to find out the
generational moniker predates the TV series Called Homeland by almost a decade!
In post Snowden America, it is not surprising that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When removed from social theory, generational nicknames have an uncanny tendency to be
launched right in time for the release of a new gadget, new report or a new TED talk. Nobody
expects a baby to live up to its name, something baby Lucifer and little Havoc will be pleased to
learn. But generations are different. Naming them before we learn their true character traits is
tantamount to label a piece of art that has not yet been completed. Creative wordsmiths will
continue to use new monikers; at least until this young generation one day decides to name itself.
This youngest generation is already rich with names, yet so poorly understood as a cohort of more
than tiny consumers. Over the last few years at least half a dozen suggestions from the plain
Generation Z, to the more specific iGeneration, Plurals, Posts or Wii Generation have been
suggested. I believe lack of scope in the underlying research is why these suggestions seem myopic
to the field of study or even anachronistic. At least to futurists who are used to thinking of the future
as more complex than mere extensions of the present. These names run the risk of becoming naГЇve

Sexual Swellings And Reproduction Of Female Baboon
Sexual Swellings/Reproduction The female baboon has a menstrual cycle just like human females
have (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). While the human menstrual
cycle lasts for 5 7 days, the baboon s menstrual cycle will last up to 35 days (Alberts et al., 2015;
Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). When estrus approaches, the femalebaboonwill develop
large swellings on or near the vulva, perineum, and anus (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015;
Fitzpatrick, 2015). These swellings attract males, and plenty of baboon males will compete for that
female (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). This competition can become
very violent, and whoever wins the competition, reproduction will begin between him and that
female (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015).
The most dominant male will mate with most estrous females (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et
al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). After ovulation is over, the female s swellings rapidly decrease
(Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). That female will no longer be
attracted to males, and will care for herself and her young (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al.,
2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). After six months, one infant is born (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al.,
2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). The young baboons are mainly black in color (Alberts et al., 2015;
Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015).

Summary Of Marian Wright Edelman Standing Up For Children
In Standing Up for Children by Marian Wright Edelman, she states that people should stand up
for children because they are the future of our country. In her essay she talks about how children
are our next generation and people should do what they can to try to help and educate them.
Edelman says It s time to do whatever it takes to make our nation treat our children right and to
live up to its promise of fair opportunity (44). Not only does she encourage people to treat
children right but she also encourages people to treat children fairly regardless of their color or
economic status. Later on Edelman mentions that programs that help children who are in need are
being cut she then says Don t be afraid to be the voice in the wilderness

Radiation Is Natural Part Of The Earth
Radiation is natural part of the Earth. Radiation exists all around us, in the air, the soil, and rock.
Humans have lived, and thrived in a radioactive environment since the beginning of time. Radon
is one form of radiation, it s odorless, tasteless, invisible, and it s in the air we breathe. Cosmic
radiation is in space as heavily charged particles and gamma rays. Terrestrial radiation is emitted
naturally in the form of heat from the Earth. Then we have manmade radiation. In 1895 Roentgen
discovered radiation in his laboratory, the medical benefits of this invisible source of energy were
experimented with in every direction from beauty, to health for many years, and continues to this
day. Radiation is a part of our environment both naturally and unnaturally (Sources of Radiation
Exposure. (2013, June 12). Retrieved from http://epa.gov/radiation/sources/index.html). Just as the
Earth has supplied us with natural radiation, it has supplied us with ways in which to protect us
through nutrition. In the same way we can protect ourselves from natural radiation, we can protect
ourselves from unnatural radiation. Minerals, spices, herbs, seaweed, and plants bind the radiation
particles in our bodies and are removed naturally. Our bodies are incredible healing machines,
given the correct nutrition and avoiding foods that impair the immune system, we are designed to
heal and thrive in a world filled with toxins and even radiation. Natural sources of radiation are
everywhere.

Advantages Of Indian Reservation System
There arrives a time when almost everything overstays its welcome and needs changes to survive.
India s reservation system is one of those systems which has overstayed its due and has been a
failure in meeting its initial objectives. It was introduced to erase the caste discrimination and the
divisions in the Indian society. What it has done is that it has etched these castelines even deeper
into the society setting up the general castes against the lower castes. The reservation system was
thought to promote the weaker and the backward classes but it ended up making them tools of vote
bank politics. The reservation system of Indiahas not been successful in eradicating as well as
introducing all what it stood for at the time of its introduction.
The Mandal Commission was introduced in 1979 to identify the socially backward classes and to
set up reservation seats to eliminate caste discrimination in the country. It used social, economic
and education factors to decide on the backwardness of the classes. But if we look at the present
scenario, reservations are determined on the basis of solely caste and nothing else. The OBCs, also
called the Other Backward Castes have been granted 27% reservation on government positions. In

Fresh Off The Boat Stereotypes
Fresh Off the Boat is an ABC comedy, based on Eddie Huang s best selling memoir of the same

experiences. Set in the 1990 s, it tells the story of a young Eddie, played by newcommer, Hudson

Florida. Fresh Prince of Bel Air starred Will Smith as a fictionalized version of himself, who is

The theory suggests that the mass media could influence a very large group of people directly
and uniformly by shooting or injecting them with appropriate messages designed to trigger a
desired response. Stereotypes can be found in both sitcoms; although both shows find away to
have viewers look the other way. For example, asians have a long history of being made fun of
because of their thick accents. In Fresh Off the Boat, Eddie and his siblings speak like every
other American kid. In fact, asian names are a common joke as well, but the show s characters
have typical names. Media is an important source of information about a culture and media
portrayals contribute to public perception (Hodan, 2015). Fresh Prince of Bel Air is used as a
medium at which stereotypes are presented through the show. In the beginning years, Will is
shown as an outcast who brings embarrassment to his Bel Air family being conveyed as how the
average young black man is seen in society. However, in an episode where Will s uncle is utterly
embarrassed by his actions during a gathering at their home full of wealthy upper class patrons,
Uncle Phil himself is proved wrong of his misconceptions after hearing Will play FГјr Elise by

or broken. The show s attempt to screen out stereotypes and create a more positive image with
references that expand the cultural context is represented in the show in a brighter

Essay The Berdache of Early American Conquest
The Berdache of Early American Conquest
Methodological Introduction
This paper attempts to link the facet of queer theory that explains gender and sexuality as culturally
constructed identities, with the presence of the berdache in the New World at the time of the
Spanish conquest. By analyzing the construction of gender and sexuality among the native peoples,
in contrast to the ideologies of the Spanish, I found a clash arose which explained, in some sense,
the incompatibility of the two cultures. The differences between the two cultures gender
construction established support for the very un natural or in essential nature of gender, sexuality,
and the body as a means of self identity. By realizing the issue of power and ... Show more content

The clash of gender identity existing between these two cultures led to misrepresentations of the
natives by the Spaniards.
It is also necessary, before diving into the concepts of this paper, that I elucidate the terms which
I will be using, as they are easily confused. Gender, in the context of this paper will describe the
sets of culturally prescribed behaviors, actions, and functions assigned to a particular sex. Sex,
when used as an adjective, will refer to the biological or chromosomal physical identity which
separates males from females. Sexuality, like gender, will be used to define individuals on the basis
of their cultural/social role within society, but not as an unchangeable feature of a person s identity.
It is important to distinguish the meaning of these terms because as they are commonly used, they
are usually considered synonyms in some way. By separating and elucidating their meanings, I hope
to further press the queer theorist argument that gender and identity within one s sexuality are
deeply imbedded in social influences.
The Berdache of Early American Conquest
The Spanish encountered many things upon treading their first steps onto the soil of a new and
mysterious continent. The natives were a group so foreign, the Spaniards questioned whether they

Research Paper On Jean Piaget
Jean Piaget was one of the most influential psychologists in the 20th century, but his focus was not
always on this subject. Piaget started his career in the natural science field. He was a researcher
from age eleven and continued to follow this path when he received his Ph.D. in Zoology in 1918.
Piaget s interest shifted in the 1920s though. He was focusing more on psychoanalysis than the
natural sciences. As a result, he spend a year working at a boys institute that was founded by Alfred
Binet. Binet is known for his intelligence tests and Piaget scored them at the institute. Jean Piaget
took his interest in psychoanalysis a step further by developing theories. The first was about genetic

Similarities Between Orwell And The Truman Show
Power, the good life and utopia are all connected, without one you can t have another. But what
is power, the good life and utopia? And how is each of these topics viewed by different people?
Peter Weir; the director of the Truman Show, and George Orwell; the writer of animal farm have
almost the same views on each topic and make that clear in their work. In each of these topics it is
clear that Weir and Orwell are in agreement.
Power is the ability to do something or act in a particular way. But with power comes great
responsibility. In the Truman Show, Weir shows how one person s power can be seen as good by
some, but bad by others. For example, Kristoff thinks that he is using his power over Truman to
make sure he lives the perfect life. Whereas Truman wants to live out his dreams of adventuring
and traveling the world, something that Kristoph does not allow using his power over him.
There is a conflict of interest, and unfortunately for Trueman, Kristoph unfairly has more control
over the end results. Kristoph is in a way responsible with his power although for a different
point of view, such as truman s, it would be seen as irresponsible as well as unsympathetic.
Likewise, in Animal Farm, Orwell tells us how a group s power can be seen as good by some,
but bad by others. One example being the change of rules that the pigs create for the farm, using
their power, for their obvious benefit. While some of the animals go along with the change, other
tend to dislike or clash with the idea. The pigs are not responsible with their overall power over the
animals, leading to the destruction of their original plan of action. In conclusion, both Peter Weir
and George Orwell say that where there is power, there is also conflict of interest and much
responsibility alongside it. There is also conflict when it comes to the perfect world, being utopia.
Utopia is a term given to the concept of a perfect society. Its an imagined place or state of things
in which everything is perfect. Meaning it is not possible in reality. In the Truman Show, Weir
shows how if one is able to, they will create their idea of Utopia, disregarding others needs and
wants for their own. Kristoph created Truman s reality based on his idea of

How does the governmental transfer of power impacts wildlife and the workforces that conserve

Analysis Of Tay-Sachs Disease
Tay Sachs disease is an inherited birth defect which first becomes noticeable at about four to six
months of age when an otherwise healthy baby gradually ceases to smile, crawl, turn over, or reach
out, and ultimately becomes blind and paralyzed. Death occurs at about the age of five years. Tay
Sachs disease is among a number of genetic disorders that result from the body s inability to
produce lipid degrading enzymes. Lacking these enzymes, lipids accumulate in the cells, resulting
in kidney failure, enlargement of the liver and spleen, mental retardation, blindness, skeletal
deformities, and, eventually, the shut down of the entire nervous system.

Many Thanksgiving celebrations today are still centered around getting together with family
and friends and giving thanks. The term Black Friday was first used, according to US News
Digital Weekly, in 1869 in reference to a stock market crash on the day after Thanksgiving that
year. US News Digital Weekly says that it was again used in 1951 to describe the high number
of workers that skipped work that day. Eventually, employers started giving workers the day
after Thanksgiving as a vacation day. In turn, many of the workers used this day to start their
shopping for the holiday season, making the day after the Thanksgiving a day that many stores
started making huge profits. If a business has a profitable market, they are considered in the
black . This is likely what brought about the modern meaning of the phrase Black Friday.
However, it wasn t until 2004 that Black Friday was officially considered the biggest shopping
day of the year...according to data from retail analyst ShopperTrak, (Tozzi). Today, stores
everywhere have Black Friday sales with almost comically low prices on merchandise to entice
potential customers and drive them away from competing stores.
Recently, America s obsession with Black Friday has generated various opinions on the day itself,
its proximity to Thanksgiving, and the morality of the holiday shopping season. Many view
Thanksgiving as a sacred holiday and are appalled that retailers would even consider the idea of

Macrophages Lab Report
Macrophages are cells that participate in the immune response when there is an infection.
Macrophages are phagocytes that can modify themselves in order to fight off various invaders;
thus, they are involved in the first line of defense (Mandal). Macrophages are able to partake in
the immune response with the help of cytokines. LPS is a gram negative bacteria cell wall
component known to stimulate diverse cytokines such as interleukin 1 (IL 1), IL 6 and tumor
necrosis factor alpha (TNF О±) from macrophages (Buckley 31). Garlic is also known to be an
immune modulator (Buckley 31). In this experiment, the cytokinegene expression from
macrophages treated with LPS and garlic was used to determine gene expression.
Using the female, J774A.1 cells and the male RAW264.7cells, total RNA was extracted from
treated macrophages. Using a Spectrophotometer, absorbances were measured at three readings:
230nm, 260nm, and 280nm. At 260 nm, the nucleic acid concentration, at 230nm, the organic
molecules (contaminants), and at 280nm, we tested the protein concentration (Layne E, 1957).

Thus, garlic suppressed the production of 1L 1B, IL 6, and IL 12 in both male and female cells.

Keywords: Paradox, sensual imagery, binary opposition, mortality and immortality.
Introduction

He juxtaposes the mortality of man with the immortality of art. He through sculpture sees the
picture of reality via imagination as if were alive. He used to flight away in a world of
imagination but comes back in reality; as an alarm clock wakes us up from the world of dreams.
He in this poem wants to tell about the still immobility of a man through art. The urn passes
through many ages without dying. It is alien to all ideas and concepts. It forms a paradox for the
human beings in the side of urn. People are immortal but the art described by the poet shows the
people frozen in time. As doth eternity
People on a urn haven t confront aging and death and are forever young. He examines the picture
of a piper who is playing to his lover. Keats has escaped from the reality that his love is undying.
The melodies for the piper will ever last.
But in reality, this person will never be able to fulfill

On the Latest Development of Modern English Vocabulary
On the Latest Development of Modern English Vocabulary
Abstractпјљ
As one of the three elements of language, vocabulary is sensitive to the fastest change. Modern
English vocabulary distributed in many areas always keeps developing. Though scholars at home
and abroad make great progress on English new words, it is far from satisfaction. This paper,
which is based on the previous findings, begins with the definition of English new words and its
study actuality. As new vocabulary is a mirror of social development, the source of its improvement
distributes in more than ten semantic fields reflecting the ever changing contemporary world in an
all round way. Besides, the paper investigates the formation of English new words which is on the

Henry James is afraid he is wholly unable to aid me in collecting words either of his own
invention or of anyone else s. (Gao, 1998, p.11). The existing lexicology thinks little of modern
English new vocabulary. The reasons are just like follows: firstly, uncertainty on the definition and
scale of new words; Secondly, incompleteness on the collecting of new words; lastly, without
authority standard and few is edited into dictionaries and books (Deng, 2005, p.49). However, as
professor Wang Rongpei said, As for new words, we cannot ignore them just because they haven t
been edited into dictionaries or accepted by the Standard English (2006). We should attach
importance to its development, formation and trend.
3. The Sources of English New Words
New words are being invented or introduced all the time. Sometimes a new word is produced by a
single person only, in some special situations. These words are called nonce words used only
once or coined for one particular occasion, and never occur again. Sometimes a new word coined
by a single speaker is used by a small group, such as the staff of the institution, and exists for a
time without gaining any wider circulation. Sometimes a new word is coined by a number of
people; such a word becomes an accepted part of language, and is fixed in a dictionary. When a
new product is made, a new conception comes in man s thought, and a new name must be found,
that is, a new

Theory and the Nursing Process The theoretical basis for public and community nurses began in the
nineteenth century with Florence Nightingale. Nightingale believed in the prevention and
surveillance of diseases. She further believed that a disease was more prevalent in poor
environments. She proved that good health was more prevalent with a good environment for
instance providing adequate ventilation, clean water, warmth, light, and cleanliness during the
Crimean War (Allender, Rector, amp; Warner, 2014).

The activities include physical and occupational therapy, nutrition counseling, and case
management ( Community Health Nursing, 2013).
The two theories the Nightingale and the Knowles are an example of the integration of the nursing
and education discipline to promote a health community and protect the population from illness,
communicable diseases, injury, and death. The challenges are great but obtainable.
The use of the survey by the community and public health nurses to identify problems and develop
a plan of action. The development of education programs by employing the Knowles principles to
reach out to the adult learner.
The mission of community and public health nursing is related back to the work of Florence
Nightingale. Her observation that good environment leads to good health and bad environment
leads to bad health.

Niyazov And Isolation
1984, is a book that was published in 1949 and written by George Orwell. His reason for writing
the book was the hope that humans would read it and come to a realization that our world was
headed toward a dictator like or tyrannical style of government. Some ignorant people living in
first world countries might say that he was wrong, but those smart enough know just how right he
was. These terrifying places are very much real in the world today. The people living in these
cruel environments are often times isolated by their leaders and told they are living in the best
country in the world, and that their reason of isolation is to keep the rest of the world out. The
harsh reality is that these people are actually being starved, neglected,... Show more content on

Maybe it has to do with their early life, for example, Niyazov being orphaned starting from a very
young age after the death of most of his mother and father ( Obituary: Saparmurat Niyazov ).
Perhaps though, it has nothing to do with our upbringing, and maybe it only our internal hunger
for power is to blame. Whichever way that created a person as monstrous as Niyazov, definitely
created something huge. During Niyazov s rule he controlled everything he possibly could.
Controlling the minds of his people was his specialty. Forcing them to have the will to change
their beliefs, their routines, their individuality, was one of the reasons Niyazov succeeded in
being one of the world s dictators ( Saparmurat Niyazov. ) Turkmenbashi put many laws in place
of ridiculous nature, because he able to. He named some of the months and days of the weeks
after his family. Only six years after he had become President, he ban smoking because after a
major heart surgery he had quit. Other things like music, dance, and long hair on men were also
halted, simply because he did not like them ( Obituary: Saparmurat Niyazov ). Niyazov also
neglected his citizens. He starved worked his people to the bone. Today, Turkmenistan is lead by a
man who works in a very similar way to that of Niyazov. His name is Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov,
and he has transitioned the country to start favoring him over their old great leader and they have
begun to be recreate the country for the new President. Berdimuhamedov has not changed much
other than that though. He is running things in the same type of dictatorship that Turkmenbashi left
behind. The people in the country are still isolated, without any freedoms or necessary rights
provided to them. ( Saparmurat

What Was The Mashiach s Impact On Judaism
Judaism, one of history s oldest monotheistic beliefs, is a semitic religion based upon the covenant
made by the Jewish God, Yahweh, to Abraham. Abraham s descendant was Jacob called Israel.
From Abraham came the beginning of the Jewish religion and from Israel came the nation through
which the covenant was to continue. However the people did not always stay faithful to Godand it
is due to a number of significant people that the religion was able to continue to today. Isaiah s
impact on Judaismcan still be seen in modern Judaistic society and religion.
Isaiah was born at a time of historical importance during an era of political turmoil. Around the
year 740 BCE Isaiah was born. During his life he experienced the destruction of Israel circa 722

It is one of the core beliefs of Judaism that the promised anointed one, the Mashiach, will indeed
come. Isaiah speaks of the restoration and redemption of Jerusalem under the Messianic King.
These prophesies, reinforced elsewhere in the Tanakh (sacred text), describe the Mashiach and
ultimately give the people hope for the future of the world. The Mashiach will be fully
observant of the commandments, bring about the political and spiritual redemption of the
Jewish people through the restoration of Jerusalem and the exiled and establish a world
authority in Israel for Jews and gentiles. The return of the exiled has been a long awaited
prophecy for the Jews during Isaiah s time and ours with the holocaust having displaced masses
of Jews. The Messianic age, called the Olam Ha Ba, will be characterised by the peaceful co

Family And Consumer Sciences Education Essay
Family and Consumer Sciences Education has tremendously evolved since its beginning roots
with Ellen Swallow Richards. FCS has obtained a new role within public schools and the
community, far different than it was before. What was previously seen as the classes for women is
now a requirement for high schoolgraduation plans. The positive societal views of Family and
Consumer Sciences is increasing the development as well as furthering the program. The
following analyzes and examines the Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum that is currently
being implemented in Texas public schools. The role of Family and Consumer Sciences in public
school is reflected through multiple social trends and influences. One of the most dominant and
interdependent trends is digital technology. The world of technology has immensely transformed
over the past ten years. These modifications have revolutionized the way a teacher educates as
well as the way a student learns. Sewing machines, for instance, have been significantly modified.
Machines now have a mind of their own as they can individually function off of the press of a
button. This technological advancement will play a role in how a teacher, who was once taught
on a basic machine, instructs. Digital technology s role in FCS can be clearly depicted through any
course of study. As digital technology continues to evolve, so will the Family and Consumer
Sciences courses and the methods of teaching/ learning. FCS also engages in the role

Pennsylvania Compare And Contrast Essay
From the Southwest to the Northeast There are many similarities between all of the fifty United
States, however there are also many differences. This is especially true when comparing the states
of New Mexico and Pennsylvania. Although these two states have many differences, it is clear to
see through scenery, food, and tourism, they may be a little more similar than meets the eye. The
United Statesis known for being a place of great beauty. Whether it is found in the lushly forested
rolling mountains of the Northeast, the snow capped Rockies of the West, the arid deserts of the

  • 2. Corporate Dinner Swot Analysis Essay The analysis of the SWOT s for each business identified the forces that influence the strategies that need attention or are innovative. Splitting the columns up into strengths and weaknesses allowed for an objective look at which strategies would prove to be more profitable. The Corporate Dinner initially looks like it is good business with potentially have 350 expected guests. With a time frame of one hour, many drinks will not be poured. Alcohol has a high profitmargin, where a lot of money can potentially be made. The average person may have 2 drinks total. The costof each drink is high which will result in profit. The bartender will just have to push the higher priced drinks to maximize the short time frame. There is an estimate of 350 guests. This could be 50 people or the total 350. Food cost will fluctuate with the number of people attending. You can t cost out how much each item will be or how much to make per person at this stage with an estimated count. The menu prices are not inclusive of the 23% servicecharge and the 10% DC sales tax. This means that you will be making money. The service charge and sales tax will be added on top of the initial bill. Charging for parking is also advantageous. That money is a direct profit because each person is paying for their own. There is no one to pay or a middle man, since it is self serve. Most people will use the reserved parking because it is safer and easier. It will probably be dark by the time ... Mark Twain Benaras, Kashi or Varanasi, whatever it may be called, this city has been enthralling people from far and wide, since ages. The spirituality and mysticism of Varanasi, epitomizes everything Indian in a different and better way than many other cities. Though it is considered as one of the oldest living cities of the world, yet it presents an incomparable blend of tradition and modernism existing side by side. With the majestic Ghats on the banks of the Mokshdayini Ganga, the temples, the narrow by lanes, the art, culture, food and the people; Varanasi keeps unfolding itself like a maze ,which is what attracts the world to Varanasi. With the aim to take the city along the path of growth, development and to showcase to the world that Varanasi is much more than temples and ghats, I spent three weeks in Varanasi as a district attachment program. The aim was to explore as to how to connect Varanasi in particular (Uttar Pradesh in general) to the outside world. • 5. American Superheroes Influence On Society During The 1940s The 1940s were known as the golden age of comics. Many superheroes recognizable in mainstream popular culture today originated during this time, becoming favorites of the young and old alike. Unsurprisingly, superheroes usually experience their greatest success during times of transition and uncertainty, such as America moving from economic crisis into armed conflict (Bainbridge 746). While this essay will be focusing on the overall influence of all American Superheroes on society during the 1940s, a specific focus will be placed on two of the most well known created heroes: Supermanand Captain America. Both Superman and Captain America first emerged as the nation was coming out of the Great Depression and headed into World War II (Bainbridge 746). Therefore, protagonists like these two as well as comic books in general were crucial during the 1940s because they acted as lighthearted distractions from real world issues, devices of cultural influence as well as a big source of earning for publishers. Comic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Over the last several decades many comic book movies have been released to box office success. The industry is one that has continued to flourish because of evolving technology to make exciting and creative displays for entertainment. Comics as a source of entertainment wasn t always the case. Between the Great Depression and the War, living the American Dream had become a far fetched idea. Comic books and the introduction of superheroes provided society to escape into a fantasy world where everything wrong in the world was nonexistent thanks to these heroes. Additionally, the continued development of superheroes became proved to be positive role models for kids. The expansion of superhero popularity in the media showed that superheroes thinking about law and justice spread beyond comics, reaching a large audience (Bainbridge ... • 7. Toussaint Louverture And The Haitian Revolution Toussaint Louverture was a key icon in the history of the Haitian Revolution. He was known to this day as the Black George Washington due to the fact that that he fought of 3 empires, France, Spain, and Great Britain, in order for the slaves in the French colony of Saint Domingue to be emancipated and free. The ego or in other words the reputation of Toussaint Louverture was really high during the Haitian Revolution time period. On the other hand, it wasn t always at the top. Before Toussaint rose to power he was embarrassed of where he came from and his life on the plantation. Toussaint Louverture started his life as a slave on the BrГ©da plantation. Toussaint s parents came to Saint Domingue on one of the slave ships from Allada, which is in Africa. Toussaint s birth or existence was a mystery because there was little to no record of it.1 Also, Toussaint s origin and life as a child was very obscure and he wanted to keep it a secret from the world. Toussaint was unlike the other slaves on the plantation because he learned how to read and write and formed many relationships over time with the French plantation masters. Out of the limited records of Toussaint s early life and the very vague history of his past as a slave makes the conclusion or prediction that he was embarrassed of his past. It also shows that Toussaint wanted to be known for what he accomplished during the Haitian Revolution rather than what he was prior to that such as being a slave. Toussaint also ... Ask the average person how they would define marketing and a majority would reply with something along the lines of commercials, ads, brochures, and other items used to market a business. Marketing is complex. It is a process, a practice, and a philosophy. As a process, it moves goods and services from an idea all the way through to the customer. As a practice, it embodies the elements of product, price, place, and promotion. As a philosophy, it is the basis of how customers needs and satisfaction are met by the business product or service. The Post Millennials Name is Now Official The White House recently released a report where they labeled the youngest generation the Homeland Generation. A storm of speculations immediately hit the internet. How could the U.S. government choose such a paranoid and xenophobic sounding name? Was this a creepy joke? Some claimed the White House took the name out of thin air. Others accused the government of deliberately spreading shivers of Orwellian terror. When removed from social theory, generational nicknames have an uncanny tendency to be launched right in time for the release of a new gadget, new report or a new TED talk. Nobody expects a baby to live up to its name, something baby Lucifer and little Havoc will be pleased to learn. But generations are different. Naming them before we learn their true character traits is tantamount to label a piece of art that has not yet been completed. Creative wordsmiths will continue to use new monikers; at least until this young generation one day decides to name itself. This youngest generation is already rich with names, yet so poorly understood as a cohort of more than tiny consumers. Over the last few years at least half a dozen suggestions from the plain Generation Z, to the more specific iGeneration, Plurals, Posts or Wii Generation have been suggested. I believe lack of scope in the underlying research is why these suggestions seem myopic to the field of study or even anachronistic. At least to futurists who are used to thinking of the future as more complex than mere extensions of the present. • 10. Sexual Swellings And Reproduction Of Female Baboon Sexual Swellings/Reproduction The female baboon has a menstrual cycle just like human females have (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). While the human menstrual cycle lasts for 5 7 days, the baboon s menstrual cycle will last up to 35 days (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). When estrus approaches, the femalebaboonwill develop large swellings on or near the vulva, perineum, and anus (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). These swellings attract males, and plenty of baboon males will compete for that female (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). This competition can become very violent, and whoever wins the competition, reproduction will begin between him and that female (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). The most dominant male will mate with most estrous females (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). After ovulation is over, the female s swellings rapidly decrease (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). That female will no longer be attracted to males, and will care for herself and her young (Alberts et al., 2015; Altmann et al., 2015; Fitzpatrick, 2015). • 12. Radiation Is Natural Part Of The Earth Radiation is natural part of the Earth. Radiation exists all around us, in the air, the soil, and rock. Humans have lived, and thrived in a radioactive environment since the beginning of time. Radon is one form of radiation, it s odorless, tasteless, invisible, and it s in the air we breathe. Cosmic radiation is in space as heavily charged particles and gamma rays. Terrestrial radiation is emitted naturally in the form of heat from the Earth. Then we have manmade radiation. In 1895 Roentgen discovered radiation in his laboratory, the medical benefits of this invisible source of energy were experimented with in every direction from beauty, to health for many years, and continues to this day. Radiation is a part of our environment both naturally and unnaturally (Sources of Radiation Exposure. (2013, June 12). Retrieved from http://epa.gov/radiation/sources/index.html). Just as the Earth has supplied us with natural radiation, it has supplied us with ways in which to protect us through nutrition. In the same way we can protect ourselves from natural radiation, we can protect ourselves from unnatural radiation. Minerals, spices, herbs, seaweed, and plants bind the radiation particles in our bodies and are removed naturally. Our bodies are incredible healing machines, given the correct nutrition and avoiding foods that impair the immune system, we are designed to heal and thrive in a world filled with toxins and even radiation. India s reservation system is one of those systems which has overstayed its due and has been a failure in meeting its initial objectives. It was introduced to erase the caste discrimination and the divisions in the Indian society. What it has done is that it has etched these castelines even deeper into the society setting up the general castes against the lower castes. The reservation system was thought to promote the weaker and the backward classes but it ended up making them tools of vote bank politics. The reservation system of Indiahas not been successful in eradicating as well as introducing all what it stood for at the time of its introduction. The Mandal Commission was introduced in 1979 to identify the socially backward classes and to set up reservation seats to eliminate caste discrimination in the country. It used social, economic and education factors to decide on the backwardness of the classes. For example, asians have a long history of being made fun of because of their thick accents. In Fresh Off the Boat, Eddie and his siblings speak like every other American kid. In fact, asian names are a common joke as well, but the show s characters have typical names. Media is an important source of information about a culture and media portrayals contribute to public perception (Hodan, 2015). Essay The Berdache of Early American Conquest The Berdache of Early American Conquest Methodological Introduction This paper attempts to link the facet of queer theory that explains gender and sexuality as culturally constructed identities, with the presence of the berdache in the New World at the time of the Spanish conquest. By analyzing the construction of gender and sexuality among the native peoples, in contrast to the ideologies of the Spanish, I found a clash arose which explained, in some sense, the incompatibility of the two cultures. The differences between the two cultures gender construction established support for the very un natural or in essential nature of gender, sexuality, and the body as a means of self identity. The clash of gender identity existing between these two cultures led to misrepresentations of the natives by the Spaniards. It is also necessary, before diving into the concepts of this paper, that I elucidate the terms which I will be using, as they are easily confused. Gender, in the context of this paper will describe the sets of culturally prescribed behaviors, actions, and functions assigned to a particular sex. Sex, when used as an adjective, will refer to the biological or chromosomal physical identity which separates males from females. Sexuality, like gender, will be used to define individuals on the basis of their cultural/social role within society, but not as an unchangeable feature of a person s identity. It is important to distinguish the meaning of these terms because as they are commonly used, they are usually considered synonyms in some way. By separating and elucidating their meanings, I hope to further press the queer theorist argument that gender and identity within one s sexuality are deeply imbedded in social influences. The Berdache of Early American Conquest The Spanish encountered many things upon treading their first steps onto the soil of a new and mysterious continent. The natives were a group so foreign, the Spaniards questioned whether they were even human. This experience of contact, then conquest and colonization introduced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 24. Similarities Between Orwell And The Truman Show Power, the good life and utopia are all connected, without one you can t have another. But what is power, the good life and utopia? And how is each of these topics viewed by different people? Peter Weir; the director of the Truman Show, and George Orwell; the writer of animal farm have almost the same views on each topic and make that clear in their work. In each of these topics it is clear that Weir and Orwell are in agreement. Power is the ability to do something or act in a particular way. But with power comes great responsibility. In the Truman Show, Weir shows how one person s power can be seen as good by some, but bad by others. For example, Kristoff thinks that he is using his power over Truman to make sure he lives the perfect life. Whereas Truman wants to live out his dreams of adventuring and traveling the world, something that Kristoph does not allow using his power over him. There is a conflict of interest, and unfortunately for Trueman, Kristoph unfairly has more control over the end results. Kristoph is in a way responsible with his power although for a different point of view, such as truman s, it would be seen as irresponsible as well as unsympathetic. Likewise, in Animal Farm, Orwell tells us how a group s power can be seen as good by some, but bad by others. One example being the change of rules that the pigs create for the farm, using their power, for their obvious benefit. While some of the animals go along with the change, other tend to dislike or clash with the idea. The pigs are not responsible with their overall power over the animals, leading to the destruction of their original plan of action. In conclusion, both Peter Weir and George Orwell say that where there is power, there is also conflict of interest and much responsibility alongside it. There is also conflict when it comes to the perfect world, being utopia. Utopia is a term given to the concept of a perfect society. Its an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect. Meaning it is not possible in reality. In the Truman Show, Weir shows how if one is able to, they will create their idea of Utopia, disregarding others needs and wants for their own. • 46. Niyazov And Isolation 1984, is a book that was published in 1949 and written by George Orwell. His reason for writing the book was the hope that humans would read it and come to a realization that our world was headed toward a dictator like or tyrannical style of government. Some ignorant people living in first world countries might say that he was wrong, but those smart enough know just how right he was. These terrifying places are very much real in the world today. The people living in these cruel environments are often times isolated by their leaders and told they are living in the best country in the world, and that their reason of isolation is to keep the rest of the world out. The harsh reality is that these people are actually being starved, neglected,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Perhaps though, it has nothing to do with our upbringing, and maybe it only our internal hunger for power is to blame. Whichever way that created a person as monstrous as Niyazov, definitely created something huge. During Niyazov s rule he controlled everything he possibly could. Controlling the minds of his people was his specialty. Forcing them to have the will to change their beliefs, their routines, their individuality, was one of the reasons Niyazov succeeded in being one of the world s dictators ( Saparmurat Niyazov. ) Turkmenbashi put many laws in place of ridiculous nature, because he able to. Other things like music, dance, and long hair on men were also halted, simply because he did not like them ( Obituary: Saparmurat Niyazov ). Niyazov also neglected his citizens. He starved worked his people to the bone. Today, Turkmenistan is lead by a man who works in a very similar way to that of Niyazov. His name is Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and he has transitioned the country to start favoring him over their old great leader and they have begun to be recreate the country for the new President.
