by various religious practices and beliefs. The spiritual land of India has given birth to many
religions. These religions together form a subgroup and are known as Eastern religions. The
people of India have a strong belief in religionas they believe that they add meaning and purpose to
their lives. India practiced several religions during the 15th century. Hinduismis one type of religion

North And South Similarities
North and South had many differences but they also have similarities. While the South had their
booming agricultural business the North had many industries. But these two actually helped each
other their businesses they correlated. The agricultural business needed things to be shipped so the
North helped with that.
The similarities are few but there is still some. Both of the North and South states were very racist
they both did not accept African American as a citizen. They also had an equal number of states.
Also as I said in the top they had industries with cotton. The North had industries that would take in
cotton and produces it as clothes. The South would harvest it and send it to the North. But there are
many differences between the

The Music Industry Is Littered With Corruption
Music has become a center piece of life; however it comes with a vigorous price unknown to most
of the public. The music industry is littered with corruption. My proposed research problem focuses
on the manipulation and control the music industry has upon its artists through an unescapable 360
deal, which in and of itself is not only reducing an artist to almost indentured servitude, but also
cripples record labels themselves. The 360 deal is a common mandatory contract record labels
utilize to financially support an artist. This includes advances and funds for promotion, touring, and
marketing, all which the artist has to pay back to the label. I believe this problem is significant and
warrants further research because the record labels are unconstitutionally taking away artists rights
in favor of their own greed, in turn, leaving the artist without ownership of their own songs, money,
and rights to royalties. Music has become such an important part of people s lives today. One
cannot walk down the street without seeing earbuds in a person s ears or hearing the bass to a
radio in someone s car. But how did music become such an important and constant part of the lives
of so many? What do artists have to go through to reach their audience? At the beginning of musical
development from the medieval Georgian chant to the arias of Mozart and fugues of Beethoven,
people could only listen to music in a live setting. This is how most performers would make their
money. According

Chromalveolata Observation Essay
The Chromalveolata supergroup has a clade called alveolates. The alveolates are named as such
because under their cell membrane it has an alveolus. An alveolus is a membrane enclosed sac that
has an uncertain responsibility however it is suggested that it has something to do with
osmoregulation. Osmoregulation is the maintenance of keeping the water quantity at a proper ratio.
Alveolates has three groups that consists of the apicomplexans, the dinoflagellates, and the ciliates.
The dinoflagellates can range from photosynthetic, mixotrophic, and heterotrophic which deals with
how an organism receives its nutrition needed for survival. A majority of dinoflagellates have
connecting plates that are made of cellulose and two ninety degree angled flagella. The flagella are
able to be positioned into the connecting plates. One of the flagella is surrounds the dinoflagellate
while the other one runs lengthwise. The function of the flagella is to assist the dinoflagellates
movement of rotation. Figure 1 demonstrates the wide variety that dinoflagellates can be.
Dinoflagellates can also start to glow due to stress. The group of apicomplexans is named due the
fact that it contains fibrin, microtubules, and vacuoles contained in a apical complex structure. The
function of the structure is for access to contaminate a host cell. The group of ... Show more content

Lewis And Clark Summary
The object of your mission is to explore the Missouri river, such principal stream of it, as, by it s
course communication with the water of the Pacific ocean may offer the most direct practicable
water communication across this continent, for the purposes of commerce. Thomas Jefferson had
chosen to ask two men to embark on a journey across the unknown land. In April of 1803,
President Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory from a power hungry man named Napoleon.
Buying this land doubled the size of the United States. There was a major curiosity of what was
in the newly purchased land which inspired Thomas Jefferson to appoint two people to discover
and record the newly acquired land, those men were Lewis and Clark. Lewis and Clark s... Show

During the winter of 1804 1805 they made peace and settled into the Mandan tribes home. Here
they met their translator, Toussaint Charbonneau, a french, Canadian trader. Charboneau
brought his 16 year old, native American, pregnant, wife, Sacagawea. Sacagawea proved herself
to be a very important person for the expedition. In early May while on the Missouri river, a
sudden gust of wind pushed over the boat knocking out some important supplies. All the
important supplies were saved only by Sacagawea as she threw herself over the side and pulled
most of the supplies back into the boat. On the way to the rocky mountains, The explorers realized
they had a problem, they needed horses to walk up the mountains and to carry all their supplies.
On August 11 Lewis spotted a native on his horse, It happened to be a Shoshone Native American.
The group had Charbonneau translate and ask for horses, The Shoshone then lead them to his chief.
Later While Sacagawea translated each groups words she realized something, the chief, appeared to
be her brother. Because of this, the Shoshones gave the explorers quite a bit of horses and provided
them with other important supplies that they had lost or used. This paragraph proves that without
the natives on the explorers side, they never would have made it to their final destination. The

Entertainment And Entertainment
Entertainment! Ruining the society or not? When you hear the word entertainment you think of
everything you like to do and/or see. You think about the things you love the most about the
society and everything created to make you happier. But there is one question that one will ask
at least once in a life time, Is the things I think of as entertainment ruining the society or not?
Well in my opinion I say yes and no meaning I agree, but in only certain cases. For example, I
think basketball is a great sport and helps kids and adults become healthier and less stressed out,
but I think Snap Chat, Instagram, Twitter, etc. are all a waste of time and do the exact opposite of
what sports do, it makes you lazy and more stressed out. This... Show more content on

It states, Studies have shown that staying mentally stimulated can slow the progress of (or possibly
even prevent) Alzheimer s and Dementia, since keeping your brain active and engaged prevents it
from losing power. Just like any other muscle in the body, the brain requires exercise to keep it
strong and healthy, so the phrase use it or lose it is particularly apt when it comes to your mind.
These are only two of many different types of entertainment that isn t ruining the society.
Secondly, the sad and boring part, where I tell you about the things you love to do and how
horrible they are for the society. And yes that is exactly what I am going to be doing in this
paragraph. Firstly, I would like to start off with a fan favorite social media. I am talking about
Snap Chat, Instagram, Twitter, and all of the other apps/websites. And yes I did not include
YouTube and there is a reason for it which I will talk about later. All of these social media
websites are destroying children s childhood, of going outside with some friends and playing some
football or basketball or something. It is eating away a child s childhood before they even notice it.
Instead of talking to a friend in person they are talking to them through a phone and not even calling
them, they are texting each other none stop. On http://nperov.com it states, Constant switching

Organization Decision Making Process
An organization continually makes decisions at all levels. Until the past decade, most organizations
and their managers and employees operated in an information and knowledge fog, making decisions
based on best guesses about the past and present, and making expensive errors in the process. Many
have failed throughout the course trying to improve the decision making process, there are many
ways that contribute to the failure. Organizations can easily miss the market, by not having the
right intelligence, analysis, not acting on agreements, having inadequate capitalization or simply
because the competitors are doing better job. Another crucial failure during the process is poor
execution, when there is ineffective leadership, inefficient operations, and excessive costs. Not
following the right strategies is another contributor of failure, not having the right products and
services, ineffective marketing, utilizing outdated technologies and not adjusting to the frequent
changes on the market in today s competitive world. Nevertheless, several steps can guide us to
making the right decision. The first is to declare a decision, recognize that an organization ought to
make a decision, second is to decide what to make with that decision and finally execute the
decision to create results and changes in the outcome of those decisions. There are four stages in
the decision making, intelligence, design, choice and implementation. All of these steps consist of
discovering,

The Ancient Egyptian Revolution And The Religious Services
For nothing irrational or fabulous or prompted by superstition, as some believe, was embodied in
the religious services, but ideas which either had moral and necessary causes or were not devoid
of historical or physical plausibility (De Iside et Osiride. Plutarch. 8.353e). The Ancient Egyptians
craving for Ma at over Isfet is most prevalent in this perception, with that being said the irrational as
well as the fabulous have no reason to exist in the Egyptians, or any, ordered world, thus allowing
the creation of the essentiality of sensible reasons for events of calamity, such as those of plague
and disease; the calendars of lucky and unlucky days being a primary example of the contradictory
effort. It could be thought that the calendars of lucky and unlucky days are just indicators of pure
superstition, but the Ancient Egyptians did not see it that way, therefore this thought cannot work
in this example. Henceforth, it may be that the Egyptians saw the epagomenal days as outstandingly
wicked since their prominence was that of being called the five days in addition to the year ,
disrupting the order the calendar had of being twelve thirty day months. For the duration of the
epagomenal days, the Ancient Egyptians assumed that time, neheh, remained stagnant and fearing
that djet, best described by J. Assmann as being the unchanging continuation of that which is
completed , might persist evermore, thus forever upsetting Ma at, unless particular rituals were
performed.

Edgar Allan Poe s Theme Of Poetry
Edgar Allan Poe was and still is known as one of the best poets/short story writer. He was also the
first well known writer to make a living off of his profession. All in all he was one of the best of his
time and still is considered the best. His poems and short stories were dark and gritty; he wasn t
really known for his feel good poems but ones that explored darkness. Some of his best poems were
The Valley of Unrest , The Raven , and Annabel Lee . These poems had themes of love, death,
and the supernatural. One of Poe s most sad poem was the The Valley of Unrest . This poem talks
about a village in which war has already broken out and is now empty because of it. Now each
visitor shall confess/ The sad valley s restlessness. (Poe 9 10).... Show more content on

In Annabel Lee Poe writes about a man who loves a woman... shocker. But this is a different type
of love poem. Annabel Lee was a woman that the man knew as a teenager. He loved her a lot and
she loved him a lot. Even though people were telling them that they had no idea what love was
because they were so young, they knew they were in love. Sadly she dies from what only can be
interpreted as a type of disease. He blames it on the angles and says that even the angles could
not keep their love separated. He then goes and lies next to her grave every night remembering
her. There isn t really a set rhyme scheme but he keeps coming back words that rhyme with lee. It
is most likely free verse since there isn t no set rhyme scheme. He also might be rhyming with
lee to emphasize his love for her. There is a lot of symbolism going on here but the most
important one are the angles. You would always think that angles are good and right, but Poe
paints them as bad dudes. The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,/ Went envying her and me
/Yes! that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) / That the wind came out
of the cloud by night, / Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. (Poe). Another symbole is Annabel
Lee herself. She represents love and passion. She seems like the perfect women that the man has
painted. Of the beautiful Annabel Lee (Poe). Some themes that were prevalent throughout the
poem was love, hate, and darkness. She loved Annabel so much and no one could tell him
otherwise. But our love it was stronger by far than the love (Poe). There love was so strong the
death couldn t even stop them and he lies with her at night next to her grave. A very prevalent
theme throughout the poem was hatred. He hated the angles and god for taking his beloved away
from him. Finally like in most of his poems there was supernatural. He brings in heaven and hell,
angels and demons which are all supernatural events. I

Disneyland Comparison
Disney World or Land? Two of the most well known theme parks in America are Disney World
and Disneyland. People travel from all over the world every day just to visit these parks. Although
both are Disney theme parks, they are very different. There are multiple differences to be found
about Disney World and Disneyland such as the parks, the rides, the entertainment, and the hotel
choices. These things go into consideration when trying to figure out what the best park to attend
is. Disney world and Disneyland have masses of similarities, but they are also very different.
Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955, in Anaheim, California. The opening day was intended to be
fun and organized. Although it was fun, it was the furthest thing from organized. Six thousand
invitations to the Grand Opening had been mailed. By mid afternoon over 28,000 ticket holders
were storming the Magic Kingdom. Most of the tickets were counterfeit (Disneylandshistory).

Laurence Binyon Poem
Throughout many literary text the themes of courage and sacrifice are commonly displayed.
Laurence Binyon s poem is one great example that demonstrates this as he writes in dedication to
the fallen from World War One. Through a respectful and constantly calm tone he focuses his
writing on the remarkable sacrifices made by soldiers as well as writes to express the idealistic
point of view towards war many people had including himself. The authors image of the soldier s
death is being reflected in the poem as They fell with their faces to the foe . This line adds an
alliteration effect explaining that the soldiers fell in harsh and abrupt ways, as well as granting
the reader a pure image of what war was really like. The repetition of the f s adds an artistic style
to the poem and therefore it creates a line of text that is more entertaining and appealing to read.
The whole poem relates to the many soldiers who died during World War One and the third stanza
being the most well known and rehearsed in today s society; They shall grow not old, as we that
are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun
and in the morning, We will remember them. embodies the profound sense of respect, admiration
and grief that shapes the true meaning of remembrance. These lines are situated at the heart of the
poem as they are the most valued by the author and present an argument that the dead are
immortalised in the memory of the living.

The And Native American Populations
From a European stand point, altering the lives of the Native Americans was a perfectly justifiable
action. They were uncivilized, and thus must be welcoming of their attempts to convert them to a
more advanced manner of living. At the same time, however, they must have notions of owning
land, of claiming sections of the Earth as their own, of trade and association of certain objects with
high value. This, however, was a paradoxical viewpoint. The main problem that resulted from the
intermixing of European and Native American populations was a misunderstanding of what each
culture maintained as important within their lives. To the natives, mourning wars, gods who were
part of the Earth itself, sacrifices, and any other number of various traditions were natural to who
they were. The Europeans, in contrast, valued war as a means of gaining territory, not people; they
often were monotheistic, with odd customs all their own, such as self torture or confession. The
differences between the two cultures could have been overcome, perhaps, if there had been some
attempt to understand one another s values. However, as evidenced, Europeans did not attempt to
understand without an ultimate aspiration to change. One of the defining aspects that shaped
Native American life after exposure to the Europeans was the disease they brought along with
them. In The Jesuit Relations, as well as in other readings, the fathers explained this illness as a
sort of cleansing designed by God. They

The Character of Ophelia Essay
The Character of Ophelia
In Shakespeare s tragedies, the characters all have flaws that eventually lead to their undoing. In
the play Hamlet, the character of Ophelia is ultimately killed by her flaw.
It is apparent that Ophelia is an obedient person but, upon closer inspection, the audience can see
that she is not merely obedient. Ophelia s thoughts and actions go beyond obedience to show that
she is a weak and entirely dependent character. Nothing that she says or does is a representation of
herself but mostly that of her father. Ophelia s cruel actions towards Hamlet, which go against her
feelings for him, demonstrate her obedience to her father. In the beginning of the play, Ophelia tells
her father that she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ophelia s obedience and weakness as a character can be traced to her complete dependence on other
people. Her dependence on others is evident in the very beginning:
I do not know, my lord, what I should think. POL: Marry, I will teach you. Think yourself a
baby... (act 1, scene 3). This shows how Ophelia depends on her father to determine what she
should think and feel. Ophelia s complete dependence, or lack of independence, is what leads to
her demise. Still, Ophelia s dependence on others was not entirely her fault. It could have been
caused by her father and brother s protection over her. Polonius and Laertes were always there
for Ophelia, whether she needed it or not, causing her to develop a major character flaw. Her
flaw was her complete dependence on others, which can also be shown through her obedience
and overall weakness as a character. Ophelia s dependence on others is, sadly, what lead to her
death. She could not cope with the events in her life because she was so adapted to being told
how to think and act that she went mad. When she was forced to take care of herself, she could not
handle it and ended up committing suicide to keep from facing her problems

The Olympic Games Of The Games
The Olympic games originated in Athens in 776 B.C. The more popular modern day Olympic
games began nearly 2300 years later in 1896. The games no longer represented a religious
festival, but a sports competition instead. The games can be studied via multiple aspects such as
political, social, and economic, but this paper will concentrate on the economic aspect of the
games and more specifically, the macroeconomic impacts the games possess. It is evident that
hosting the Olympics games is no walk in the park. The countries trusted with this task have to
spend billions to make the games a reality. Some people believe that the countries, even after
spending billions of dollars benefit from the games, while others believe that the money can be
spent elsewhere more efficiently. To reach a conclusion, one must study all of the different impacts
in all of the different sectors the games have.
London was not the only option when it came to the 2012 summer Olympics. France was also in the
running and was actually pretty close to getting the gig. London won the bidding race with 54 50
votes from the International Olympic Committee. The need of some economic spark for London s
economy may have been the reason why the vote went their way. London s economy had been
stuck in a recession for almost a nine month period. The question was: Are the Olympics going to
provide a positive benefit for London s economy?
Employment
Preparing for the Olympics takes a lot of time, effort and money.

Theories of ethical decision making assume it is a process that is special, or different in some
regard from typical individual decision making. Empirical results of the most widely known
theories in the field of business ethics contain numerous inconsistencies and contradictions. In an
attempt to assess why we continue to lack understanding of how individuals make ethical decisions
at work, an inductive study of ethical decision making was conducted. The results of this
preliminary study suggest that ethical decision making might not be meaningfully special or
different from other decision making processes. The implications of this research are potentially
significant in that they challenge the fundamental assumption of existing ethical decision making
research. This research could serve as an impetus for further examination of whether ethical
decision making is meaningfully different from other decision making processes. Such studies
could create new directions for the field of business ethics.

Social Construction of Race and How It Affects Society Essay
Humans define race by how they conceive and categorize different social realities. Thus, race is
often referred to as a social construct. The differences in skin color and facial characteristics have
led most of society to classify humans into groups instead of individuals. These constructs affect us
all, and they often result in situations where majority racial groups cause undue suffering to those
that are part of the minority. The understanding of raceas a social construct is best illustrated by the
examination of racial issues within our own culture, specifically those that have plagued the history
of the United States.
Although race as a physical condition has likely occurred in societies from the beginning of human
existence, it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the Declaration of Independence stated that All men are created equal, the U.S
Constitution denied minorities basic human rights, such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
With this, the line had been drawn. Skin color had now become the definite indicator of how race
would be defined in future American society.
This sentiment of racial inferiority by the white American was further demonstrated by their
treatment of Native American society. As European settlements continued to expand across the
continent, Indians were forcibly removed from their land to make room for the more civilized white
American. The Native American population was practically eradicated with only a handful of
survivors remaining on small, segregated reservations in Oklahoma. The genocide of their people
and their culture left most Native Americans with extreme resentment towards the white man.
Ironically, just as the white man saw the Native American people as uncivilized savages, Native
Americans saw firsthand how barbaric the white man actually was. This further supports the theory
that race is not a physical characteristic, but something that is constructed by different societies to
establish each ones perception of how the other is viewed or perceived. In Mary C. Waters Social
Construction of Race and Ethnicity, she explains this theory in the

A Closer Look On How Foreign Doctors Are Discriminated
A Closer Look on how Foreign Doctors are discriminated A lot of people are bewildered why
more foreign doctors are not invited to work in American workplaces. There is a severe
discrimination and prejudice amongst anyone who is not an innate U.S. citizen. One of the main
reasons why Americans are trying to push foreigners away is for the safety of their nation. Some
Americans think that all foreigners are terrorists and are set out to destroy Americans but this is
not true at all. In fact, statistics show that foreigners actually bring good to the nation. Brian
Palmer, author of Slate magazine says, During the 1990s, a series of studies showed that
graduates of foreign medical colleges performed slightly worse on exams than their U.S. trained
colleagues, and program heads gave marginally better reviews to domestic physicians. By the turn
of the century, however, that gap had disappeared. International graduates now score higher than
U.S. educated doctors on many exams (Palmer). This was shocking to know that even though
foreign doctors are doing better than domestic doctors, they are still mistreated. Mistreatment of
doctors not only spans out nationwide but hits close to home as well. I know a person who had to
endure this cruel experience. I truly care for her and she inspires me to be a doctorlike she is. For
the sake of anonymity and spilling private personal information, I will call her Jane Doe and omit

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Ordinary Portland Cement
General
Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) is most widely used cementitious material and is the second
most consumed resource in the world as it forms the basic ingredient in concrete and Bricklayer
Joseph Aspdin of Leeds, England first prepared Portland cement early in the 19th century by
sweltering powdered limestone and clay in his kitchen stove [13]; this laid the foundation for an
industry to develop a binder called ordinary Portland cement. The major applications of concrete in
the construction field such as infrastructure, habitation and transportation have greatly influenced in
affecting the economic progress by improving the stability and quality of life to a very wide extent.
However, inherent disadvantages are that production of Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) using raw
materials such as limestone and clay are depleting and quarrying of them is causing the source for
environmental degradation. OPC production involves a very high energy intensive and exothermic
process, as because it consumes 4Gj energy and produces about one ton of carbon dioxide, where it
significantly contributes to 5% of global carbon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Kubbo And The Two Strings
Kubo and the Two strings is an amazing animation film that is based off of Japanese culture and
can be very dark at times. Personally, I believe that little kids shouldn t watch this because they
may not be able to understand it or just be scared in general. Kubo is a clever, kindhearted boy who
tells stories through origami by using a Shamisen (magical musical instrument) to the people that
live in his seaside town. That was until the day he stayed out when the sun set vanished and now
he is on the run from a past that he barely understands. This was a great movie because it s not an
ordinary animated film its blended in with having origami telling the story as well as the anime
characters.
Kubo and the Two Strings is about a boy named Kubo, who tells fantastical stories about a great
samurai warrior named Hanzo in his town. That was until the day he accidentally summoned a
mythical spirit the Moon King who has already taken one of his eyes and is intending to take his
other eye. He doesn t quite understand why the Moon King is after him, but his mother has made

Mental Illness Viewpoints
Exploring the views of Mental Illness
Mental illness is common and most people have experienced it at some point in their life, either
through a family member or neighbor. In some cases, people with mental illness try to hide it
because they don t know how others will react. However, for others the signs and symptoms are so
evident that is difficult to disregard it. The question is, what is mental illness? According to
Merriam Webster.com mental illness is a wide range of conditions (e.g. depression, schizophrenia,
obsessive compulsive disorder, or panic disorder) that affects mood, thinking, and behavior. There
are several factors that can cause an individual to develop a mental disorder. Two of the possible
causes are genetic inheritance or life experiences such as stress and/or trauma. Thus, the individuals
that ignore the signs and symptoms of this disorder can become a problem for society and to ...

However, I believe that we must fight the urge to judge others so quickly and try to understand
the disorder. There are three ways that we can help a relative or a friend that have these mental
illnesses. The first way, is by educating ourselves in the subject as much as we can, so that way
we can draw our own conclusion in regards to the disability. The second way is by encouraging
our friends and relatives in seeking professional help and to stick to the treatments suggested by
the psychiatrist. Finally the media can add a positive light on to the subject. It has in the past
already contributed to a number of good images of people with mental illness on the screen such
as mentally disable kids that are brilliant at math or excel in the art of music. These positive
images show that all human beings have potential and that every person is created for a purpose
even though we may not see it right

Xbox One Vs Ps4 Research Paper
For the last couple of years all I have been using is the Xbox as the main console I use for
gaming. I have been very happy with my results, but I think that might change. Ps2 had a great run,
but in my opinion once the Xbox 360 came around I think it beat the Ps3. Now, that the Ps4 has
come around it has changed everything. This essay is about the Xboxone and the Ps4. At the end of
this I will choose which Is better and why. First we will talk the Ps4 which Is a gaming console
made by Sony, a Japanese company. Other than being a new console, it has also brought new
features that It has never had in the past. With the xbox 360s controller being called the best

is where Ps4 comes into place. This console is more convenient because it is smaller that the
Xbox one. The Ps4 already come with a rechargeable cable which means that instead of waiting for
my controller to get done charging, i can play and charge it at the same time.
In conclusion the Ps4 comes out on top overpowering the Xbox one, although that could change.
Microsoft has unveiled that they are coming up with a new console called Project Scorpio that
is planning to beat the Ps4 by adding some of the Ps4 s features like vr(virtual reality) combined
with their own. I still have hope for, since i have been using the Xbox all my life, but we will have

How Would Fenris To Come Lonely
Fenris would never admit to getting lonely.
It happened rarely. He d return to his decrepit mansion after a long day of murdering various
groups of slavers, bandits, and other terrible people preying on those who can t defend themselves
with Hawke, and he d finally have time to himself. He d never admit it, but he hated it. After
spending the entire day with those people, only to come home and be reminded that he is truly
alone... sometimes, he couldn t fight the loneliness that crept inside him like a parasite. He d have
to find a way to calm himself, or he would break.
Tonight was one of these nights.
He hadn t been home two hours when he started feeling anxious. He paced, back and forth in his
bedroom, fidgeting with the gauntlets he hadn t bothered to remove yet. He knew he d never be
able to sleep in this state, and working on his reading and writing skills didn t seem to be much
of an option either. Slowly, he worked through his options in his head. He could get drunk, or go
for a walk, or work on fixing some of the more uncomfortable issues with the mansion... he hated
all of those ideas. He wanted to talk to someone, just for a little while. Just to remind himself that he
isn t completely alone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

time of night. Isabela was an option, but he knew that she d have a completely different idea of
how the night should go. That left only one option:

Mayor Of Casterbridge By Michael Farfrae Analysis
The Resentment and Downfall of an Antihero In the mid 1800s, Michael Henchard and his wife
Susan, who carried their daughter Elizabeth Jane, were walking down a path seeking a place to
lodge for the evening. Stopping at a county fair tent, the family decided to eat furmity, Michael
Henchard (who possessed a quick temper and a drinking problem at the time) decided to slide the
cook extra money to spike his meal. After this point, the situation rapidly got out of hand and
Michael Henchard sold his wife and child to a sailor for five guineas. This was the shocking first
scene in Thomas Hardys novel, Mayor of Casterbridge, published in 1886. To proceed with the
story and jump ahead almost two decades, Susan and Elizabeth Jane sought out Henchard (since
the sailor was lost at sea and believed to never return) in the town of Casterbridge, where they
discovered that he was Mayor. From this point on, the husband and wife reconciled their
differences, married again, and started new beginnings together. However, things took a turn for
the worse ever since the two women materialized back into Henchard s life. Throughout the novel,
Donald Farfrae, a man Michael requested assistance from, availed in every aspect over Mr.
Henchard, causing a expeditious downfall to the latter. Their differences included love, success,
popularity, fortune, and authority. However, Farfrae was not the cause of Michael s misfortune, in
fact Donald was noble in all of his affairs. Michael Henchard was

Downtown Massillon
On October 14 I attended a New Wave concert in Downtown Massillon. This concert was actually
apart of a larger event called the Massillon Zombie Walk which is held once a year. Most
everyone dressed as a zombie. There was even a man who dressed as a Soviet spy zombie who
made my night. He walked down the sidewalk with an accordion, a hammer and sickle pin, and a
giant fur hat. Other zombies swarmed around him as I realized that I m pretty lucky to live in an
area that treasures local gatherings and celebrations.
The night began with a Thriller performance in front of the Massillon public library. About 20 or
so people performed the iconic dance as Michael Jackson s audio was played. The people who
performed managed to do a really good job recreating the dance moves we all know so well and
they looked like they had fun. The party moved down to the street beside the Massillon Museum
where the stage was waiting. After we arrived New Wave Nation ran onto the stage and performed
Thriller again. Sadly the lead singer of this band could not match MJ s awesome chops. It was
cringe. All the high notes sounded fuzzy and strained. The tempo seemed too slow. There was a tv
screen behind them that actually played the music video which managed to make their dancers
incompetent. Weird sound effects were added to the end of phrases and instruments were played
along with the original audio.

Protests In Antigone By Sophocles
Throughout Antigone, Sophocles develops the idea of emotion in protests through the actions of
Antigone. Antigone, angry at Creon s refusal to bury her dead brother, decides to protest and go
against the rule of the state. Creon responds in return, rashly sentencing Antigone to death. At the
end, the play ends in tragedy, with Creons son Haemon, Creon s wife, and Antigoneall dead from
their emotionally driven choices. Throughout his play, Sophoclesdevelops the idea of pathos in
protests, showing that emotions are the driving force in starting many protests, the use of pathos is
essential if the protest wishes to grow and gather a following, and that relying on simply pathos and
emotions will lead to the failure of the protest without... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the play, Sophocles presents the great power pathos has on swaying the minds of
people, and the great importance it has in allowing a protest to flourish. When looking at the
chorus, it is clear the necessity pathos has in convincing others to join your side. When Antigone
is sentenced to death, the chorus says, In all her lovely strength she traded the light of day for the
bolted brazen vault buried within her tomb, her bridal chamber, wed to the yoke and broken. But
she was of glorious birth my child, my child (l.1036 1040). The positive light that the chorus
shines onto Antigone, is a stark contrast to how they portrayed Antigone as a wretched child in the
beginning. The reason for this sudden change is evident when the chorus mentions Antigone s
current dire situation. By apealing to the people s emotions through her actions of being
sentenced to death, Antigone suceeds in gaining support that she would not have had without the
use of pathos. A modern example of the use of pathos being vital in drawing people in to a
protest could be seen throught the Civil Rights Movement led by Maritn Luther King Jr. His use
of pathos shines through in his Letter from Birmingham Jail , where he writes, As you seek to
explain to your six year old daughter why she can t go to the public

Knowledge and Technology in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur s Court
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur s Court is a complicated novel that fundamentally deals with
the concept of the human experience. Hank Morgan is a nineteenth century mechanic who is
transported back thirteen centuries to medieval Britain, during the time of King Arthur. After his
initial shock, he becomes determined to civilize Camelot by introducing modern industrial
technology. At an initial look Twain seems to be favoring the industrialized capitalist society that
he lives in over the feudal society of medieval Britain. But in a closer examination of the work it
becomes clear that this observation is much too simple, as the industrial world that Hank Morgan ...

(Twain 40). Hank forgets his own humanity and begins to believe that his knowledge makes him
more of a man, just as the nobility that he shunned believed they were better than the serfs because
of the titles they held.
Hank Morgan uses his superior knowledge of technology to gain personal power. It soon becomes
clear that even though thirteen hundred years have given Hank a technological advantage, they
haven t made him any smarter. Twain himself says of Hank,
...this Yankee of mine has neither the refinement nor the weakness of a college education; he is a
perfect ignoramus; he is boss of a machine shop; he can build a locomotive or a Colt s revolver, he
can put up and run a telegraph line, but he s an ignoramus, nevertheless. (Guttmann 103)
Hank possesses all of this technological knowledge, but fails to understand the implications that
this knowledge will have on the people of the Camelot. Instead of educating the general public and
teaching them how and why something works instead he sends a select few to his man factories .
He uses his knowledge instead to produce fantastic miracles, which although they give him
personal power, continue to perpetuate the superstitions of the populace that he is trying to
overcome. For example, Hank is asked to fix the well at the Valley of Holiness. He installs a pump
that will return the water,

The Benefits Of Technology
Technology is ever increasing in our society. There seems to be more and more focus on
innovation, learning, and making everything as efficient as possible with the help of technology.
Technology is not only used at home, but practically everywhere. Libraries and schools, in
particular, are aiding in the learning process for many, with the use of technology. While technology
holds a plethora of benefits, there is a rather common debate about if the use of it holds more
consequences than benefits for children. There is a great importance on knowing how much
technology is too much, what kind of content is appropriate or beneficial, and how to protect
children from situations that occur in online platforms, such as cyber bullying.
Our society has made astounding advancements in the world of technology, and as a result it is
becoming increasingly integrated into the daily lives of adults and children alike. Children seem
to be spending less time outdoors and doing other activities than they are on the computer,
watching television, or playing video games. There is a legitimate concern for children who seem
to use media with excess. Adults often wonder, how much is too much. There is differing opinion
among many on the answer. There are benefits and consequences to prolonged media use, that need
to be examined in order to discover and promote a healthy balance.
There can be substantial advantages to incorporating the use of technology into a child s education.

Geroge Orwell Essay
Geroge Orwell
One of the things Orwell bequeathed us was the adjective Orwellian .... It is a frightening word,
generally applied to a society organized to crush and dehumanize the individual, sometimes
signifying the alienation of that individual if he dares to rebel (Lewis 13). George Orwell, the
pseudonym for Eric Arthur Blair, depicted the importance of the individual in society and the
danger of too much community in his literature. Through his personal experiences, however, he
explored the ideas of socialism and was torn between the individual and community ideals. In his
literature and his past, Orwell spoke against movements that remove the individual, but still
emphasized the importance of community. Thus, he advocated a... Show more content on

He enjoyed the idea that everybody was equal, but he still showed resentment towards it. His
inner conflict between these two ideas and his experiences as a member in the Spanish Civil War
caused him to choose a median between the community ideals which he saw and the individual
ideals which he missed: I have seen wonderful things and at last really believe in socialism, which
I never did before (qtd. in Chen).
With the start of World War II, George Orwellbegan his fight against Nazism, fascism, and
communism. In the eyes of many, communism became interchangeable with socialism, and he
criticized writers of his time that were in support of Stalin and his socialist movement: Why should
writers be attracted by a form of Socialism that makes mental honesty impossible (qtd. in Lewis
76)? In an attempt to pacify the radical communist movements and change imperialism, he spoke of
a third method to reform the British Empire a middle ground that would create a socialist
community in Britain. John Newsinger wrote, [He had a] call for a new socialist movement that
would reject both Communist style revolution and Labour Party reformism in favour of a third way
to socialism, a third way that he continued to call revolutionary but that was adapted to modern
conditions (qtd. in Chen). Through this, one can see that Orwell wanted to avoid such movements
as communism, which attempted to obtain control over the individual, and yet he had a need to

Development of Aggression
Aggression is defined as the overt behavior of initiating hostilities or launching attacks. In
psychology, aggression relates to many different types of behavior. Originally, aggressive
behavior is defined as one person is intended to injure or irritate another people. However, it is
difficult to know or to measure if a person s behavior is intentional, especially in children. Hence,
when researchers carry out studies on aggression, the operational definition of aggression is often
referred to the behavior that injures or irritates another person. Aggression behaviors are caused by
many factors, such as social and environmental. People often associate aggression with the nature of
human. There were two arguments on this nature; one... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shaw, Keenan, and Vondra (1994), showed that in the absence of parental responsiveness,
children are likely to develop aggressive behavior at age 3. Bates et al. (1998), also showed that
preschoolers with passive parents tended to have difficulty. By the late childhood, those difficult
preschoolers with passive parents tended to perform aggressive behavior in school.
Reinforcement refers to the contingent response from parents towards children s aggression.
Children who are rewarded for aggression tend to continue such aggressive behavior. On the
other hand, children who are punished for aggression tend to stop such aggressive behavior. A
study if the development and socialization of aggression done by Keenan (2002), revealed a
gender differences on aggression. He demonstrated that rates of aggression were higher in boys
than in girls at the end of the preschool period. Besides, Ross et al. (1990), reported that mothers
of boys were likely to support (reward) their sons when the children were in the peer conflicts.
However, mothers of girls were not likely to support (punishment) their daughters. Hence, the
studies indicate that children are at greater risk of developing aggressive behavior when parents do
not reinforce in an appropriate ways.
Identification refers to model the adults behaviors. Children tend to learn behavior from their

Reflection On PARCC Test
The testing process was a general meeting with the staff who are qualified to administer the
PARCC exam. The principal ran through a state provided PowerPoint and provided the schedule
that works well for the school. The principal explained the security measures as well as who to
contact in case of emergencies or problems. There was also another meeting for the staff that could
not attend the original. All staff members who were involved with PARCC testing had to sign a
paper acknowledging that they attended the training. I was able to work with the secretary and
principal to coordinate testing times. I also served as a testadministrator and shadowed the
principal. In regards to the NJ ASK, there were multiple security components that had to be in
order. First off, the tests had to be checked in by two people; the principal and the counselor who
is also in charge of testing. The boxes of tests are then delivered to the testing closet where they
are counted and checked in their designated area. This closet is locked all the time and only the
principal has keys to it. The teachers were responsible to come to the testing closet to collect their
materials. The principal was responsible to make sure that staff members sign out their bins and
that all their materials are in the bin.
Reflection
As I reflect on state standardized test, I realize that budgeting extra time is always necessary.
While all PARCC tests have enough time, there was a day where one 8th grade class started late
and had technology issues. This caused a delay in lunches being served to the students. There
was also another issue with the technology in general. Many computers did not load the tests as
there was a JAVA update that needed to take place. There was also the issue with having the tests
spread out over 7 days and the whole school testing window over a month. The vision is to have
the students test on mine net books and I pads. While many schools do go that approach, I find
that we would have to teach our students how to use these tools first prior to the test. This would
take always instructional time. While we have ample computer labs to accommodate 6 classes at
one time, it would cause a hardship on the schedule. I would prefer to

Theme Of Love In Empire Of The Sun
As a prisoner in a Japanese prison camp a choice will be given between death and life, but very
few chose life. A young boy faces this exact decision in the Japanese prison camp called Lunghua
Camp in the novel, Empire of the Sun. This boy s name is Jim and at the beginning of the novel
he is getting separated from his parents because of a world war. Later, he gets placed in
Japanese prison camps where he becomes friends with Basie and Dr. Ransome who provide
knowledge and guidance to him throughout his imprisonment struggles. Some of Jim s
difficulties in the novel include war, internment camps, death marches and starvation. The
theme, perseverance and love lead to growth in overcoming obstacles, can be seen through a
child s love, weaknesses of prisoners, and unexpected help. Throughout Empire of the Sun,
Ballard uses the topic of a child s love to show how a child can love in the darkest of places
where nobody is willing to be the light and be different. An example that supports the theme that
love leads to growth is being illustrated through the symbolism of Jim helping Mr. Blackburn
when they are imprisoned in the Cinema. Basie tells Jim that he should help with her fire and
later, Ballard also wrote that He [Jim] fanned the embers until the briquettes caught light again
(88). Jim decided to listen to Basie s advice and do what nobody else would do fan the embers

Essay On Us Involvement In The Vietnam War
United States Involvement in the Vietnam War There are many reasons for American intervention
in Vietnam whether it is political causes, economic causes or military causes. The Americans want
to secure capitalism all over the world and get rid of communism. The French used to run Vietnam
in a capitalist manner. After the Second World War France attempted to secure and control Vietnam
once more. France refused to recognize the democratic republic of Vietnam that had been declared

And lastly, a date for the elections was fixed for July 1956. The United States were getting really
concerned about the elections and whether communism (Ho Chi Minh) or capitalist (Ngo Dinh

US troops into Vietnam. The reasons why the US became involved in Vietnam are as followed:
The domino theory America was certain that if Vietnam fell into communism then the surrounding
countries e.g. Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand would fall as well which means America will lose all
its economic aspects and trades which would limit the amount of countries they can trade with,
Failure of the Geneva agreement, VC attacks on American air bases e.g. Pleiku, Growing strength
of NLF, Lots of money in south Vietnam (funding into Diems army), Failure of US advisors,
collapse of French Indo China, Failure of strategic hamlets, American fear of communism and US
weapons manufacturers saw a market for their products developing. The US tried all sorts of
methods to crack down and rid Vietnam of communism. Strategic hamlets are little American

Gary Soto Happiness
I mention it because, in this story we can find my three main points that I am going to talk about.
Happiness is an important part to be a successful family, because if we are not happy in our
home, with our family, then we will have a hard time to find happiness in our daily life as well. In
Gary Soto s story, when the kid is trying to be the perfect family, as shown in the Tv shows, with
eating dinner and speaking politely to each other. His mother denied his idea really quick so as
you read, he started working. I think he was completely wrong, and he realized that as well after
a while. We do not need to be like other perfect families to be able to be happy. It does not matter

These three main factors are dependent on each other, and we are missing one part of them, we will
find a hard time to be a successful family. The parallels I can draw from these points are, if we are
close to each other, we will trust and support each other, and when we start to support each other
to overcome the obstacles in life, we will be happier together as a family. That was just one
example of many how they are dependent on each other. Something to notice, is this is my
perspective from what a successful family is, for me, a successful family is not how much
income the family have. However, for me it is about how the family is still together and cannot
be separated no matter the obstacles are. In Garo Soto s story, the kid is just nine years old so he
is not knowledgeable about how the real world works, so when he said: I tried to convince them
that if we improved the way we looked we might get along better in life (30), he was not really

Section B 1. Conduct industry analysis of the business selected using Porter s five forces model
Introduction to Porter s five forces. Michael Porter s five forces model is in light of the
comprehension that a corporate philosophy should meet the opportunities and dangers in the
affiliation s external surroundings. Especially, forceful strategy should base on a cognizance of
industry structures and the way they change. The Porter s Five Forces model is an outside
looking in forte unit technique contraption that is used to make an examination of the captivating
quality or estimation of an industry structure. The Competitive Forces examination is made by
the ID of 5 noteworthy centered forces: The section of contenders (how straightforward or
troublesome is it for new members to start to fight, which limits do exist) The danger of
substitutes (how straightforward can our thing or organization be substituted, especially less
costly) The wrangling power of buyers (how strong is the position of buyers, would they have
the capacity to collaborate to demand tremendous volumes) The Original Porter s Five Forces
(Factors) for contender preference and upper hand: Michael Porter s Factor 1) Threat of New

Abstract: Agriculture uses 85% of available freshwater resources worldwide and this percentage
will continue to be dominant in water consumption because of population growth and increased
food demand. In India agriculture, primarily depends on the monsoon, which is not a sufficient
source of water. So irrigation is employed in the agriculture area. This paper targets to offer a
cloud based drip irrigation system to aid the farmers. The proposed system uses a
microcontroller, sensors, and a cloud server to provide real time network with field over a Wi Fi
network. The proposed system aims to conserve water up to a large extent by providing automatic
and manual modes of irrigation. The system can be monitored by the user on an android application.
Keywords: Cloud, Internet of Things, Sensors, Irrigation System
.
1. Introduction
Drip irrigation is an artificial technique of providing water to the roots of the plant. It is also called
micro irrigation. An automated irrigation system is proposed in order to facilitate efficient
irrigation where water and labour scarcity conditions prevail. For high reliability, robustness and
limited resources, resistive sensors are chosen.

The Psychological Cost Of Children During The American...
Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is a former army Ranger, paratrooper, and west point psychology
professor. Grossman is a world renown expert in the field of human aggression and the
psychology of combat (Grossman et. al, 2007). In his book, On Killing: The Psychological Cost
of Learning to Kill in War and Society, he talks about non firing rate. Non firing rate is the
percentage of soldiers who freeze up during combat, and do not fire their weapon. There has been
documentation of non firing rate dating back to 1863, during the American Civil War. There is
even documentation to prove that both World War I and II soldiers displayed the same consistence
in failing to fire their weapons; but why is this important? The weapons had the proficiency to kill,
but the soldierholding the weapon did not. All the documentation of soldier s inability to fire their
weapon indicates that there is a psychological power greater than militarytraining (Gorssman et.
al., 1995). This force acts as a blockade, preventing man from standing before man, and engaging
in the conscious act of taking the life of a person. Even when faced with the decision to kill the
man standing before him, or be killed, evidence shows that man will be killed before he kills
(Grossman et. al., 1995). Thus, providing the evidence needed to indicate humans are not born with
the capability to kill. Engaging in combat has taken a tole on the mental well being of the military
service members.

63cu Research Paper
The main components that make up copper are protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons are
positively charged, electrons are negatively charged, and neutrons don t have a charge. The
nucleus is at the center of the atom, and it contains protons and neutrons. Electrons are stored in
energy levels. Since protons have a +1 charge and neutrons don t have a charge, the nucleus is
positively charged. The two stable copper isotopes that should be describe are 63Cu and 65Cu. The
composition of 63Cu is 0.6915 (15); the composition of 65Cu is 0.3085 (15) ( Isotopes of Copper.
Wikipedia). The abundance of 63Cu is 69.17% (2); the abundance of 65Cu is 30.83% (2) ( Copper
Isotopes Cu Isotopes). The nucleus of any copper atomhas 29 protons and electrons.... Show more

There are 29 electrons in the copper atom. There are 29 electrons in copper because copper has to
stay neutral, which means that there are also 29 protons. So, since electrons have a negative
charge, and protons have a positive charge, 29 negative plus 29 positive equals no charge/neutral.
The electron configuration in symbols can be translated by: the first number is the shell number,
the letter is the subshell, and the to the power of, or superscript, is the number of electrons that
are present in the subshell. In the s subshell, there is 1 orbital, in the p subshell there are 3
orbitals, and in d subshells, there are 5 orbitals ( Electron Shell. Wikipedia). Each orbital can hold a
maximum of two electrons. So, the s subshell can hold 2 electrons, the p subshell can hold 6
electrons, and the d subshell can hold 10 electrons. Since there are 29 electrons in copper, all of the
orbitals in the subshells will be filled, except there will be one extra s subshell if you use 1s2 2s2
2p6 3s2 3p6 3d10 4s1. The fourth shell is the highest shell that contains electrons in copper. So, if
you were to add up 4s + 4p + 4d + 4f, it would equal 32 electrons ( Electron Shell.

TГіnya Harris
Liberty University Introduction: Special Education in the Individualized Education Program
Special education is a form of instruction that serves to help individual students with disabilities in
the classroom, or any other setting that is considered acceptable by the Individualized Education
Program (IEP) team. The process used to determine special education starts when either a teacher
or a parent makes a referral to have an individual student evaluated to determine if there is a
disability. Special education comes at no extra cost to the parents of the student. Gibb and Dyches
(2016), mention how students with disabilities ages 3 to 21 must be granted Free Appropriate
Public Education (FEPA), ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gibb and Dyches (2016) state, Academic achievement refers to gaining requisite skills and
knowledge for success in school (p. 47), and functional performance can be defined as applying
knowledge and skills to meet daily needs (p. 47). Reading, writing, and math are academic
achievement skills that are crucial to the students learning because they all are required for other
subjects. In contrary, functional performance involves adaptive skills such as feeding and dressing
oneself, and meeting appropriate school behaviors. Gibb and Dyches (2016) mention that the
PLAAFP statement derives from reviewing the curriculum standards for academic achievement,
determining the students current academic strengths and limitations, and assessing the students
current functional strengths and limitations (p. 48).
Measurable Annual Goals
Measurable annual goals are used to identify what the individual student is expected to achieve
within one year to address what effects the disability has caused. Gibb and Dyches (2016) define
the word measurable as the behavior stated in the goal can be observed and measured to determine
when it has been achieved (p. 60). Therefore, in order to be considered a measurable academic and
functional performance goal the goal must be able to be measured, must meet the individual student
needs that are in relation to the disability and cause problems within the general education
curriculum, and must also meet any other additional

Integrating Special Education Children
Disadvantages of Integrating Special Education Children in Regular Classrooms Few topics have as
much controversy as inclusion of children with special needs in regular classrooms. Few
professionals question the appropriateness of inclusion of students with disabilities in regular
classes. However, significant debate about which students should form part of the general education
classes and the time they should spend in those classes persists. This has led to two groups, one for,
and the other against inclusion. There are those who think that all students belong to regular
education. This group claims that all students have a right to attend school with their peers and this
can only occur within a single system where all students form the learning community. Secondly,
the group claims that all students can benefit from education through supportive learning in
inclusive settings. Third, they cite stigma as unfavorable to the children s welfare. Lastly, they
observe that the approaches used in special classes do not significantly differ from those used in
regular classes (Zwaagstra et al. 13). Conversely, the other group believes that only students who
meet certain standards should be included in regular classes. The group supports inclusion only
under unique conditions. This group observes in regular classrooms instructors cannot offer some
of the services that students with disabilities need. Additionally, they claim that instructors in
regular classrooms may lack the

Learning Into Three Sub Categories
According to a study conducted by the Institute of Education, children who read for pleasure
made more progress in math, vocabulary and spelling between the ages of 10 and 16 than those
who rarely read ( Reading for Pleasure, 2013). Nowadays, we see children who prefer using the
latest gadgets, rather than reading a book. This is due in part to the significant advancement in
technology, but the main concern here is, how can parents keep their children away from iPad s,
iPhones, and playstations, and get them to read? Psychologically.
Learning is a very important part in psychological development, and is defined as the process of
acquiring new and relatively enduring information and behavior (Myers, 2013, p. 266). However,

268 283). How can we use this concept of classical conditioning to help parents encourage their kids
to read more often?
One of the earliest methods of classical conditioning for reading in children can occur during
infancy. Reading to infants contributes to the development of their growing brains and gives them
a good start towards a lifelong love of reading and good literature ( The Importance of Reading,
2015). Reading aloud connects synapses in the infant s brain through the linking of neurons, thus
greater enhancing child development. Infants have stranger anxiety starting from nine months of
age, and always feel the need to be close to parents or caregivers. As a result, if the parents or
caregivers read to their children, the children can associate reading with a pleasant interaction from
the parents.
Emerging from infancy, there are also many precautions that can be taken to get children to read
in their early years. For example, Parents can convey important positive impressions about reading
by making reading an experience their children will remember and cherish ( What Parents Can Do,
2015). Changing your tone of voice for different characters is one of the many strategies that leads
children to be more engaged. The different tones create a sensation

What Is The Timeline Of The Big Bang Theory
Timeline of The Big Bang
The broadly accepted philosophy for the evolution of our universe is the Big Bang theory, which
states that the universe began as an incredibly hot and dense point roughly 13.7 billion years ago
before expanding into a large, unexplored cosmos; home to an unknown amount of planets and
systems.
The universe is said to have begun with a cataclysm that generated space and time, as well as all
of the matter and energy that the universe will ever hold. For an incomprehensibly tiny fraction
of a second, the universe is theoretically an infinitely dense fireball. At 10 35 to 10 33 seconds, a
runaway process called inflation is said to have caused a vast expansion of space filled with
energy. The inflationary period is stopped only when this has converted into the matter and energy
we know of today.
After inflation, one millionth of a second after the Big Bang, the universe supposedly continues to
expand, but not nearly as quickly. The most basic forces in nature become distinct: first gravity,
then the strong force of which holds atoms together, followed by electromagnetic forces. By the
first second, the universe is made up of fundamental particles and energy: from electrons, photons,
to less familiar types. These particles merge together to form protons and neutrons which will
combine to form the nuclei of simple elements such as hydrogen, helium and lithium.
The first major creation of the universe was radiation different wavelengths of light,

But these two actually helped each other their businesses they correlated. The agricultural business needed things to be shipped so the North helped with that. The similarities are few but there is still some. Both of the North and South states were very racist they both did not accept African American as a citizen. They also had an equal number of states. • 4. The Music Industry Is Littered With Corruption Music has become a center piece of life; however it comes with a vigorous price unknown to most of the public. The music industry is littered with corruption. My proposed research problem focuses on the manipulation and control the music industry has upon its artists through an unescapable 360 deal, which in and of itself is not only reducing an artist to almost indentured servitude, but also cripples record labels themselves. The 360 deal is a common mandatory contract record labels utilize to financially support an artist. This includes advances and funds for promotion, touring, and marketing, all which the artist has to pay back to the label. I believe this problem is significant and warrants further research because the record labels are unconstitutionally taking away artists rights in favor of their own greed, in turn, leaving the artist without ownership of their own songs, money, and rights to royalties. Music has become such an important part of people s lives today. One cannot walk down the street without seeing earbuds in a person s ears or hearing the bass to a radio in someone s car. But how did music become such an important and constant part of the lives of so many? What do artists have to go through to reach their audience? At the beginning of musical development from the medieval Georgian chant to the arias of Mozart and fugues of Beethoven, people could only listen to music in a live setting. This is how most performers would make their money. According ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An alveolus is a membrane enclosed sac that has an uncertain responsibility however it is suggested that it has something to do with osmoregulation. Osmoregulation is the maintenance of keeping the water quantity at a proper ratio. Alveolates has three groups that consists of the apicomplexans, the dinoflagellates, and the ciliates. The dinoflagellates can range from photosynthetic, mixotrophic, and heterotrophic which deals with how an organism receives its nutrition needed for survival. A majority of dinoflagellates have connecting plates that are made of cellulose and two ninety degree angled flagella. The flagella are able to be positioned into the connecting plates. One of the flagella is surrounds the dinoflagellate while the other one runs lengthwise. The function of the flagella is to assist the dinoflagellates movement of rotation. Figure 1 demonstrates the wide variety that dinoflagellates can be. Dinoflagellates can also start to glow due to stress. Thomas Jefferson had chosen to ask two men to embark on a journey across the unknown land. In April of 1803, President Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory from a power hungry man named Napoleon. Buying this land doubled the size of the United States. There was a major curiosity of what was in the newly purchased land which inspired Thomas Jefferson to appoint two people to discover and record the newly acquired land, those men were Lewis and Clark. Sacagawea proved herself to be a very important person for the expedition. In early May while on the Missouri river, a sudden gust of wind pushed over the boat knocking out some important supplies. All the important supplies were saved only by Sacagawea as she threw herself over the side and pulled most of the supplies back into the boat. On the way to the rocky mountains, The explorers realized they had a problem, they needed horses to walk up the mountains and to carry all their supplies. On August 11 Lewis spotted a native on his horse, It happened to be a Shoshone Native American. The group had Charbonneau translate and ask for horses, The Shoshone then lead them to his chief. Later While Sacagawea translated each groups words she realized something, the chief, appeared to be her brother. You think about the things you love the most about the society and everything created to make you happier. But there is one question that one will ask at least once in a life time, Is the things I think of as entertainment ruining the society or not? Well in my opinion I say yes and no meaning I agree, but in only certain cases. For example, I think basketball is a great sport and helps kids and adults become healthier and less stressed out, but I think Snap Chat, Instagram, Twitter, etc. are all a waste of time and do the exact opposite of what sports do, it makes you lazy and more stressed out. Until the past decade, most organizations and their managers and employees operated in an information and knowledge fog, making decisions based on best guesses about the past and present, and making expensive errors in the process. Many have failed throughout the course trying to improve the decision making process, there are many ways that contribute to the failure. Organizations can easily miss the market, by not having the right intelligence, analysis, not acting on agreements, having inadequate capitalization or simply because the competitors are doing better job. Another crucial failure during the process is poor execution, when there is ineffective leadership, inefficient operations, and excessive costs. Not following the right strategies is another contributor of failure, not having the right products and services, ineffective marketing, utilizing outdated technologies and not adjusting to the frequent changes on the market in today s competitive world. Nevertheless, several steps can guide us to making the right decision. The first is to declare a decision, recognize that an organization ought to make a decision, second is to decide what to make with that decision and finally execute the decision to create results and changes in the outcome of those decisions. There are four stages in the decision making, intelligence, design, choice and implementation. All of these steps consist of discovering, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Ancient Egyptian Revolution And The Religious Services For nothing irrational or fabulous or prompted by superstition, as some believe, was embodied in the religious services, but ideas which either had moral and necessary causes or were not devoid of historical or physical plausibility (De Iside et Osiride. Plutarch. 8.353e). The Ancient Egyptians craving for Ma at over Isfet is most prevalent in this perception, with that being said the irrational as well as the fabulous have no reason to exist in the Egyptians, or any, ordered world, thus allowing the creation of the essentiality of sensible reasons for events of calamity, such as those of plague and disease; the calendars of lucky and unlucky days being a primary example of the contradictory effort. It could be thought that the calendars of lucky and unlucky days are just indicators of pure superstition, but the Ancient Egyptians did not see it that way, therefore this thought cannot work in this example. Henceforth, it may be that the Egyptians saw the epagomenal days as outstandingly wicked since their prominence was that of being called the five days in addition to the year , disrupting the order the calendar had of being twelve thirty day months. For the duration of the epagomenal days, the Ancient Egyptians assumed that time, neheh, remained stagnant and fearing that djet, best described by J. Assmann as being the unchanging continuation of that which is completed , might persist evermore, thus forever upsetting Ma at, unless particular rituals were performed. ... • 10. Edgar Allan Poe s Theme Of Poetry Edgar Allan Poe was and still is known as one of the best poets/short story writer. He was also the first well known writer to make a living off of his profession. All in all he was one of the best of his time and still is considered the best. His poems and short stories were dark and gritty; he wasn t really known for his feel good poems but ones that explored darkness. Some of his best poems were The Valley of Unrest , The Raven , and Annabel Lee . These poems had themes of love, death, and the supernatural. One of Poe s most sad poem was the The Valley of Unrest . This poem talks about a village in which war has already broken out and is now empty because of it. Now each visitor shall confess/ The sad valley s restlessness. (Poe 9 10).... Annabel Lee was a woman that the man knew as a teenager. He loved her a lot and she loved him a lot. Even though people were telling them that they had no idea what love was because they were so young, they knew they were in love. Sadly she dies from what only can be interpreted as a type of disease. He blames it on the angles and says that even the angles could not keep their love separated. He then goes and lies next to her grave every night remembering her. There isn t really a set rhyme scheme but he keeps coming back words that rhyme with lee. It is most likely free verse since there isn t no set rhyme scheme. He also might be rhyming with lee to emphasize his love for her. There is a lot of symbolism going on here but the most important one are the angles. You would always think that angles are good and right, but Poe paints them as bad dudes. The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,/ Went envying her and me /Yes! that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) / That the wind came out of the cloud by night, / Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. (Poe). Another symbole is Annabel Lee herself. She represents love and passion. She seems like the perfect women that the man has painted. Of the beautiful Annabel Lee (Poe). Some themes that were prevalent throughout the poem was love, hate, and darkness. She loved Annabel so much and no one could tell him otherwise. But our love it was stronger by far than the love (Poe). There love was so strong the death couldn t even stop them and he lies with her at night next to her grave. A very prevalent theme throughout the poem was hatred. He hated the angles and god for taking his beloved away from him. Finally like in most of his poems there was supernatural. He brings in heaven and hell, angels and demons which are all supernatural events. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Laurence Binyon Poem Throughout many literary text the themes of courage and sacrifice are commonly displayed. Laurence Binyon s poem is one great example that demonstrates this as he writes in dedication to the fallen from World War One. Through a respectful and constantly calm tone he focuses his writing on the remarkable sacrifices made by soldiers as well as writes to express the idealistic point of view towards war many people had including himself. The authors image of the soldier s death is being reflected in the poem as They fell with their faces to the foe . This line adds an alliteration effect explaining that the soldiers fell in harsh and abrupt ways, as well as granting the reader a pure image of what war was really like. The repetition of the f s adds an artistic style to the poem and therefore it creates a line of text that is more entertaining and appealing to read. The whole poem relates to the many soldiers who died during World War One and the third stanza being the most well known and rehearsed in today s society; They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. embodies the profound sense of respect, admiration and grief that shapes the true meaning of remembrance. • 13. The And Native American Populations From a European stand point, altering the lives of the Native Americans was a perfectly justifiable action. They were uncivilized, and thus must be welcoming of their attempts to convert them to a more advanced manner of living. At the same time, however, they must have notions of owning land, of claiming sections of the Earth as their own, of trade and association of certain objects with high value. This, however, was a paradoxical viewpoint. The main problem that resulted from the intermixing of European and Native American populations was a misunderstanding of what each culture maintained as important within their lives. To the natives, mourning wars, gods who were part of the Earth itself, sacrifices, and any other number of various traditions were natural to who they were. The Europeans, in contrast, valued war as a means of gaining territory, not people; they often were monotheistic, with odd customs all their own, such as self torture or confession. The differences between the two cultures could have been overcome, perhaps, if there had been some attempt to understand one another s values. However, as evidenced, Europeans did not attempt to understand without an ultimate aspiration to change. One of the defining aspects that shaped Native American life after exposure to the Europeans was the disease they brought along with them. In The Jesuit Relations, as well as in other readings, the fathers explained this illness as a sort of cleansing designed by God. They ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. The Character of Ophelia Essay The Character of Ophelia In Shakespeare s tragedies, the characters all have flaws that eventually lead to their undoing. In the play Hamlet, the character of Ophelia is ultimately killed by her flaw. It is apparent that Ophelia is an obedient person but, upon closer inspection, the audience can see that she is not merely obedient. Ophelia s thoughts and actions go beyond obedience to show that she is a weak and entirely dependent character. Nothing that she says or does is a representation of herself but mostly that of her father. Ophelia s cruel actions towards Hamlet, which go against her feelings for him, demonstrate her obedience to her father. In the beginning of the play, Ophelia tells her father that she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ophelia s obedience and weakness as a character can be traced to her complete dependence on other people. Her dependence on others is evident in the very beginning: I do not know, my lord, what I should think. POL: Marry, I will teach you. Think yourself a baby... (act 1, scene 3). This shows how Ophelia depends on her father to determine what she should think and feel. Ophelia s complete dependence, or lack of independence, is what leads to her demise. Still, Ophelia s dependence on others was not entirely her fault. It could have been caused by her father and brother s protection over her. Polonius and Laertes were always there for Ophelia, whether she needed it or not, causing her to develop a major character flaw. Her flaw was her complete dependence on others, which can also be shown through her obedience and overall weakness as a character. Ophelia s dependence on others is, sadly, what lead to her death. The games no longer represented a religious festival, but a sports competition instead. The games can be studied via multiple aspects such as political, social, and economic, but this paper will concentrate on the economic aspect of the games and more specifically, the macroeconomic impacts the games possess. It is evident that hosting the Olympics games is no walk in the park. The countries trusted with this task have to spend billions to make the games a reality. Some people believe that the countries, even after spending billions of dollars benefit from the games, while others believe that the money can be spent elsewhere more efficiently. To reach a conclusion, one must study all of the different impacts in all of the different sectors the games have. London was not the only option when it came to the 2012 summer Olympics. France was also in the running and was actually pretty close to getting the gig. London won the bidding race with 54 50 votes from the International Olympic Committee. The need of some economic spark for London s economy may have been the reason why the vote went their way. London s economy had been stuck in a recession for almost a nine month period. In an attempt to assess why we continue to lack understanding of how individuals make ethical decisions at work, an inductive study of ethical decision making was conducted. The results of this preliminary study suggest that ethical decision making might not be meaningfully special or different from other decision making processes. • 17. Social Construction of Race and How It Affects Society Essay Humans define race by how they conceive and categorize different social realities. Thus, race is often referred to as a social construct. The differences in skin color and facial characteristics have led most of society to classify humans into groups instead of individuals. These constructs affect us all, and they often result in situations where majority racial groups cause undue suffering to those that are part of the minority. The understanding of raceas a social construct is best illustrated by the examination of racial issues within our own culture, specifically those that have plagued the history of the United States. Although the Declaration of Independence stated that All men are created equal, the U.S Constitution denied minorities basic human rights, such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. With this, the line had been drawn. Skin color had now become the definite indicator of how race would be defined in future American society. This sentiment of racial inferiority by the white American was further demonstrated by their treatment of Native American society. As European settlements continued to expand across the continent, Indians were forcibly removed from their land to make room for the more civilized white American. The Native American population was practically eradicated with only a handful of survivors remaining on small, segregated reservations in Oklahoma. The genocide of their people and their culture left most Native Americans with extreme resentment towards the white man. Ironically, just as the white man saw the Native American people as uncivilized savages, Native Americans saw firsthand how barbaric the white man actually was. This further supports the theory that race is not a physical characteristic, but something that is constructed by different societies to establish each ones perception of how the other is viewed or perceived. A Closer Look On How Foreign Doctors Are Discriminated A Closer Look on how Foreign Doctors are discriminated A lot of people are bewildered why more foreign doctors are not invited to work in American workplaces. There is a severe discrimination and prejudice amongst anyone who is not an innate U.S. citizen. One of the main reasons why Americans are trying to push foreigners away is for the safety of their nation. Some Americans think that all foreigners are terrorists and are set out to destroy Americans but this is not true at all. In fact, statistics show that foreigners actually bring good to the nation. Brian Palmer, author of Slate magazine says, During the 1990s, a series of studies showed that graduates of foreign medical colleges performed slightly worse on exams than their U.S. trained colleagues, and program heads gave marginally better reviews to domestic physicians. By the turn of the century, however, that gap had disappeared. International graduates now score higher than U.S. educated doctors on many exams (Palmer). This was shocking to know that even though foreign doctors are doing better than domestic doctors, they are still mistreated. Mistreatment of doctors not only spans out nationwide but hits close to home as well. I know a person who had to endure this cruel experience. However, inherent disadvantages are that production of Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) using raw materials such as limestone and clay are depleting and quarrying of them is causing the source for environmental degradation. OPC production involves a very high energy intensive and exothermic process, as because it consumes 4Gj energy and produces about one ton of carbon dioxide, where it significantly contributes to 5% of global carbon ... Personally, I believe that little kids shouldn t watch this because they may not be able to understand it or just be scared in general. Kubo is a clever, kindhearted boy who tells stories through origami by using a Shamisen (magical musical instrument) to the people that live in his seaside town. That was until the day he stayed out when the sun set vanished and now he is on the run from a past that he barely understands. This was a great movie because it s not an ordinary animated film its blended in with having origami telling the story as well as the anime characters. Kubo and the Two Strings is about a boy named Kubo, who tells fantastical stories about a great samurai warrior named Hanzo in his town. That was until the day he accidentally summoned a mythical spirit the Moon King who has already taken one of his eyes and is intending to take his other eye. He doesn t quite understand why the Moon King is after him, but his mother has made a huge sacrifice to keep him away from the Moon King. Now Kubo must join forces with a Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey), to solve the mystery of what happened to his fallen father while also trying to save his family. With the help of his shamisen (magical musical instrument) Kubo must battle monsters and gods, including the Moon King (Ralph Fiennes) and evil twin sisters (Rooney Mara). ... Mental Illness Viewpoints Exploring the views of Mental Illness Mental illness is common and most people have experienced it at some point in their life, either through a family member or neighbor. In some cases, people with mental illness try to hide it because they don t know how others will react. However, for others the signs and symptoms are so evident that is difficult to disregard it. The second way is by encouraging our friends and relatives in seeking professional help and to stick to the treatments suggested by the psychiatrist. Antigone, angry at Creon s refusal to bury her dead brother, decides to protest and go against the rule of the state. Creon responds in return, rashly sentencing Antigone to death. At the end, the play ends in tragedy, with Creons son Haemon, Creon s wife, and Antigoneall dead from their emotionally driven choices. Throughout his play, Sophoclesdevelops the idea of pathos in protests, showing that emotions are the driving force in starting many protests, the use of pathos is essential if the protest wishes to grow and gather a following, and that relying on simply pathos and emotions will lead to the failure of the protest without... Throughout the play, Sophocles presents the great power pathos has on swaying the minds of people, and the great importance it has in allowing a protest to flourish. When looking at the chorus, it is clear the necessity pathos has in convincing others to join your side. When Antigone is sentenced to death, the chorus says, In all her lovely strength she traded the light of day for the bolted brazen vault buried within her tomb, her bridal chamber, wed to the yoke and broken. But she was of glorious birth my child, my child (l.1036 1040). The positive light that the chorus shines onto Antigone, is a stark contrast to how they portrayed Antigone as a wretched child in the beginning. The reason for this sudden change is evident when the chorus mentions Antigone s current dire situation. By apealing to the people s emotions through her actions of being sentenced to death, Antigone suceeds in gaining support that she would not have had without the use of pathos. A modern example of the use of pathos being vital in drawing people in to a protest could be seen throught the Civil Rights Movement led by Maritn Luther King Jr. His use of pathos shines through in his Letter from Birmingham Jail , where he writes, As you seek to explain to your six year old daughter why she can t go to the public ... Knowledge and Technology in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur s Court A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur s Court is a complicated novel that fundamentally deals with the concept of the human experience. After his initial shock, he becomes determined to civilize Camelot by introducing modern industrial technology. Hank Morgan uses his superior knowledge of technology to gain personal power. It soon becomes clear that even though thirteen hundred years have given Hank a technological advantage, they haven t made him any smarter. Twain himself says of Hank, ...this Yankee of mine has neither the refinement nor the weakness of a college education; he is a perfect ignoramus; he is boss of a machine shop; he can build a locomotive or a Colt s revolver, he can put up and run a telegraph line, but he s an ignoramus, nevertheless. (Guttmann 103) Hank possesses all of this technological knowledge, but fails to understand the implications that this knowledge will have on the people of the Camelot. Instead of educating the general public and teaching them how and why something works instead he sends a select few to his man factories . He uses his knowledge instead to produce fantastic miracles, which although they give him personal power, continue to perpetuate the superstitions of the populace that he is trying to overcome. While technology holds a plethora of benefits, there is a rather common debate about if the use of it holds more consequences than benefits for children. There is a great importance on knowing how much technology is too much, what kind of content is appropriate or beneficial, and how to protect children from situations that occur in online platforms, such as cyber bullying. Our society has made astounding advancements in the world of technology, and as a result it is becoming increasingly integrated into the daily lives of adults and children alike. Children seem to be spending less time outdoors and doing other activities than they are on the computer, watching television, or playing video games. There is a legitimate concern for children who seem to use media with excess. Adults often wonder, how much is too much. There is differing opinion among many on the answer. There are benefits and consequences to prolonged media use, that need to be examined in order to discover and promote a healthy balance. George Orwell, the pseudonym for Eric Arthur Blair, depicted the importance of the individual in society and the danger of too much community in his literature. His inner conflict between these two ideas and his experiences as a member in the Spanish Civil War caused him to choose a median between the community ideals which he saw and the individual ideals which he missed: I have seen wonderful things and at last really believe in socialism, which I never did before (qtd. in Chen). With the start of World War II, George Orwellbegan his fight against Nazism, fascism, and communism. In the eyes of many, communism became interchangeable with socialism, and he criticized writers of his time that were in support of Stalin and his socialist movement: Why should writers be attracted by a form of Socialism that makes mental honesty impossible (qtd. in Lewis 76)? In an attempt to pacify the radical communist movements and change imperialism, he spoke of a third method to reform the British Empire a middle ground that would create a socialist community in Britain. John Newsinger wrote, [He had a] call for a new socialist movement that would reject both Communist style revolution and Labour Party reformism in favour of a third way to socialism, a third way that he continued to call revolutionary but that was adapted to modern conditions (qtd. in Chen). All staff members who were involved with PARCC testing had to sign a paper acknowledging that they attended the training. I was able to work with the secretary and principal to coordinate testing times. I also served as a testadministrator and shadowed the principal. In regards to the NJ ASK, there were multiple security components that had to be in order. First off, the tests had to be checked in by two people; the principal and the counselor who is also in charge of testing. The boxes of tests are then delivered to the testing closet where they are counted and checked in their designated area. This closet is locked all the time and only the principal has keys to it. The teachers were responsible to come to the testing closet to collect their materials. The principal was responsible to make sure that staff members sign out their bins and that all their materials are in the bin. Reflection As I reflect on state standardized test, I realize that budgeting extra time is always necessary. While all PARCC tests have enough time, there was a day where one 8th grade class started late and had technology issues. This caused a delay in lunches being served to the students. There was also another issue with the technology in general. Many computers did not load the tests as there was a JAVA update that needed to take place. There was also the issue with having the tests spread out over 7 days and the whole school testing window over a month. The vision is to have the students test on mine net books and I pads. While many schools do go that approach, I find that we would have to teach our students how to use these tools first prior to the test. This would take always instructional time. While we have ample computer labs to accommodate 6 classes at one time, it would cause a hardship on the schedule. I would prefer to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A young boy faces this exact decision in the Japanese prison camp called Lunghua Camp in the novel, Empire of the Sun. This boy s name is Jim and at the beginning of the novel he is getting separated from his parents because of a world war. Later, he gets placed in Japanese prison camps where he becomes friends with Basie and Dr. Ransome who provide knowledge and guidance to him throughout his imprisonment struggles. Some of Jim s difficulties in the novel include war, internment camps, death marches and starvation. The theme, perseverance and love lead to growth in overcoming obstacles, can be seen through a child s love, weaknesses of prisoners, and unexpected help. Throughout Empire of the Sun, Ballard uses the topic of a child s love to show how a child can love in the darkest of places where nobody is willing to be the light and be different. An example that supports the theme that love leads to growth is being illustrated through the symbolism of Jim helping Mr. Blackburn when they are imprisoned in the Cinema. Basie tells Jim that he should help with her fire and later, Ballard also wrote that He [Jim] fanned the embers until the briquettes caught light again (88). His mother denied his idea really quick so as you read, he started working. I think he was completely wrong, and he realized that as well after a while. We do not need to be like other perfect families to be able to be happy. It does not matter if we are wearing a nice suit, or a bathing suit to the dinner,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These three main factors are dependent on each other, and we are missing one part of them, we will find a hard time to be a successful family. The parallels I can draw from these points are, if we are close to each other, we will trust and support each other, and when we start to support each other to overcome the obstacles in life, we will be happier together as a family. That was just one example of many how they are dependent on each other. Something to notice, is this is my perspective from what a successful family is, for me, a successful family is not how much income the family have. However, for me it is about how the family is still together and cannot be separated no matter the obstacles are. In Garo Soto s story, the kid is just nine years old so he is not knowledgeable about how the real world works, so when he said: I tried to convince them that if we improved the way we looked we might get along better in life (30), he was not really knowledgeable about that it did not matter how they looked or how they behave, as long as they have each other, they will be fine. Even though he always came up with ideas that his mother rejected, she never stopped him to work, and she always showed him her support to try maintain a familiar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Michael Porter s five forces model is in light of the comprehension that a corporate philosophy should meet the opportunities and dangers in the affiliation s external surroundings. Especially, forceful strategy should base on a cognizance of industry structures and the way they change. The Porter s Five Forces model is an outside looking in forte unit technique contraption that is used to make an examination of the captivating quality or estimation of an industry structure. The Competitive Forces examination is made by the ID of 5 noteworthy centered forces: The section of contenders (how straightforward or troublesome is it for new members to start to fight, which limits do exist) The danger of substitutes (how straightforward can our thing or organization be substituted, especially less costly) The wrangling power of buyers (how strong is the position of buyers, would they have the capacity to collaborate to demand tremendous volumes) The Original Porter s Five Forces (Factors) for contender preference and upper hand: Michael Porter s Factor 1) Threat of New Entrants The less requesting it is for new associations to enter the business, the more cut throat competition there will be. • 42. The Psychological Cost Of Children During The American... Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is a former army Ranger, paratrooper, and west point psychology professor. Grossman is a world renown expert in the field of human aggression and the psychology of combat (Grossman et. al, 2007). In his book, On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society, he talks about non firing rate. Non firing rate is the percentage of soldiers who freeze up during combat, and do not fire their weapon. There has been documentation of non firing rate dating back to 1863, during the American Civil War. There is even documentation to prove that both World War I and II soldiers displayed the same consistence in failing to fire their weapons; but why is this important? The weapons had the proficiency to kill, but the soldierholding the weapon did not. All the documentation of soldier s inability to fire their weapon indicates that there is a psychological power greater than militarytraining (Gorssman et. al., 1995). This force acts as a blockade, preventing man from standing before man, and engaging in the conscious act of taking the life of a person. Even when faced with the decision to kill the man standing before him, or be killed, evidence shows that man will be killed before he kills (Grossman et. al., 1995). Thus, providing the evidence needed to indicate humans are not born with the capability to kill. Engaging in combat has taken a tole on the mental well being of the military service members. • 43. 63cu Research Paper The main components that make up copper are protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons are positively charged, electrons are negatively charged, and neutrons don t have a charge. The nucleus is at the center of the atom, and it contains protons and neutrons. Electrons are stored in energy levels. Since protons have a +1 charge and neutrons don t have a charge, the nucleus is positively charged. The two stable copper isotopes that should be describe are 63Cu and 65Cu. The composition of 63Cu is 0.6915 (15); the composition of 65Cu is 0.3085 (15) ( Isotopes of Copper. Wikipedia). The abundance of 63Cu is 69.17% (2); the abundance of 65Cu is 30.83% (2) ( Copper Isotopes Cu Isotopes). The nucleus of any copper atomhas 29 protons and electrons.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are 29 electrons in the copper atom. There are 29 electrons in copper because copper has to stay neutral, which means that there are also 29 protons. So, since electrons have a negative charge, and protons have a positive charge, 29 negative plus 29 positive equals no charge/neutral. The electron configuration in symbols can be translated by: the first number is the shell number, the letter is the subshell, and the to the power of, or superscript, is the number of electrons that are present in the subshell. In the s subshell, there is 1 orbital, in the p subshell there are 3 orbitals, and in d subshells, there are 5 orbitals ( Electron Shell. Wikipedia). Each orbital can hold a maximum of two electrons. So, the s subshell can hold 2 electrons, the p subshell can hold 6 electrons, and the d subshell can hold 10 electrons. Since there are 29 electrons in copper, all of the orbitals in the subshells will be filled, except there will be one extra s subshell if you use 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d10 4s1. The fourth shell is the highest shell that contains electrons in copper. So, if you were to add up 4s + 4p + 4d + 4f, it would equal 32 electrons ( Electron Shell. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Special Education Workbook Summary Workbook Summary TГіnya Harris Liberty University Introduction: Special Education in the Individualized Education Program Special education is a form of instruction that serves to help individual students with disabilities in the classroom, or any other setting that is considered acceptable by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team. The process used to determine special education starts when either a teacher or a parent makes a referral to have an individual student evaluated to determine if there is a disability. Special education comes at no extra cost to the parents of the student. Gibb and Dyches (2016), mention how students with disabilities ages 3 to 21 must be granted Free Appropriate Public Education (FEPA), ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gibb and Dyches (2016) state, Academic achievement refers to gaining requisite skills and knowledge for success in school (p. 47), and functional performance can be defined as applying knowledge and skills to meet daily needs (p. 47). Reading, writing, and math are academic achievement skills that are crucial to the students learning because they all are required for other subjects. In contrary, functional performance involves adaptive skills such as feeding and dressing oneself, and meeting appropriate school behaviors. Gibb and Dyches (2016) mention that the PLAAFP statement derives from reviewing the curriculum standards for academic achievement, determining the students current academic strengths and limitations, and assessing the students current functional strengths and limitations (p. 48). Measurable Annual Goals Measurable annual goals are used to identify what the individual student is expected to achieve within one year to address what effects the disability has caused. Gibb and Dyches (2016) define the word measurable as the behavior stated in the goal can be observed and measured to determine when it has been achieved (p. 60). Therefore, in order to be considered a measurable academic and functional performance goal the goal must be able to be measured, must meet the individual student needs that are in relation to the disability and cause problems within the general education curriculum, and must also meet any other additional ... • 45. Integrating Special Education Children Disadvantages of Integrating Special Education Children in Regular Classrooms Few topics have as much controversy as inclusion of children with special needs in regular classrooms. Few professionals question the appropriateness of inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classes. However, significant debate about which students should form part of the general education classes and the time they should spend in those classes persists. This has led to two groups, one for, and the other against inclusion. There are those who think that all students belong to regular education. This group claims that all students have a right to attend school with their peers and this can only occur within a single system where all students form the learning community. Secondly, the group claims that all students can benefit from education through supportive learning in inclusive settings. Third, they cite stigma as unfavorable to the children s welfare. Lastly, they observe that the approaches used in special classes do not significantly differ from those used in regular classes (Zwaagstra et al. 13). Conversely, the other group believes that only students who meet certain standards should be included in regular classes. The group supports inclusion only under unique conditions. This group observes in regular classrooms instructors cannot offer some of the services that students with disabilities need. Additionally, they claim that instructors in regular classrooms may lack the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Learning Into Three Sub Categories According to a study conducted by the Institute of Education, children who read for pleasure made more progress in math, vocabulary and spelling between the ages of 10 and 16 than those who rarely read ( Reading for Pleasure, 2013). Nowadays, we see children who prefer using the latest gadgets, rather than reading a book. This is due in part to the significant advancement in technology, but the main concern here is, how can parents keep their children away from iPad s, iPhones, and playstations, and get them to read? Psychologically. Learning is a very important part in psychological development, and is defined as the process of acquiring new and relatively enduring information and behavior (Myers, 2013, p. 266). One of the earliest methods of classical conditioning for reading in children can occur during infancy. Reading to infants contributes to the development of their growing brains and gives them a good start towards a lifelong love of reading and good literature ( The Importance of Reading, 2015). Reading aloud connects synapses in the infant s brain through the linking of neurons, thus greater enhancing child development. Infants have stranger anxiety starting from nine months of age, and always feel the need to be close to parents or caregivers. As a result, if the parents or caregivers read to their children, the children can associate reading with a pleasant interaction from the parents. Emerging from infancy, there are also many precautions that can be taken to get children to read in their early years. For example, Parents can convey important positive impressions about reading by making reading an experience their children will remember and cherish ( What Parents Can Do, 2015). Changing your tone of voice for different characters is one of the many strategies that leads children to be more engaged. The different tones create a sensation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. What Is The Timeline Of The Big Bang Theory Timeline of The Big Bang The broadly accepted philosophy for the evolution of our universe is the Big Bang theory, which states that the universe began as an incredibly hot and dense point roughly 13.7 billion years ago before expanding into a large, unexplored cosmos; home to an unknown amount of planets and systems. The universe is said to have begun with a cataclysm that generated space and time, as well as all of the matter and energy that the universe will ever hold. For an incomprehensibly tiny fraction of a second, the universe is theoretically an infinitely dense fireball. At 10 35 to 10 33 seconds, a runaway process called inflation is said to have caused a vast expansion of space filled with energy. The inflationary period is stopped only when this has converted into the matter and energy we know of today. After inflation, one millionth of a second after the Big Bang, the universe supposedly continues to expand, but not nearly as quickly. The most basic forces in nature become distinct: first gravity, then the strong force of which holds atoms together, followed by electromagnetic forces. By the first second, the universe is made up of fundamental particles and energy: from electrons, photons, to less familiar types. These particles merge together to form protons and neutrons which will combine to form the nuclei of simple elements such as hydrogen, helium and lithium. The first major creation of the universe was radiation different wavelengths of light, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
