Bhagat Singh
Bhagat SinghBhagat Singh was a freedom fighter and one of the most famous revolutionaries of
Indian Independence Movement. It is also believed that he was one of the earliest Marxists in
India. Bhagat Singh was born in a family that was actively involved in revolutionary activities
against the British rule in the country. The name given to Bhagat Singh meant `devotee`. `Arya
Samaj` had a huge impact on the life of Bhagat Singh`s father Sardar Kishan Singh Sandhu. His
uncles as well as his father were all part of the `Ghadar Party` that was led by Kartar Singh
Sarabha. Bhagat Singh`s mentor was Kartar Singh Sarabha, who was a freedom fighter of the
country. Early Life of Bhagat Singh Bhagat Singh was born on 27th September, 1907 into a... Show

Bhagat Singh admitted his crime and made statements in the court against the British as a tool to
publicise their cause of freedom struggle. However, the court ordered the case to be carried out
without members of the association who were present at the hearing. This order produced a chaos
amongst the supporters of Bhagat Singh. Bhagat Singh along with other prisoners launched
hunger strike in the jail. The main reason behind this was that the British thieves and murderers
were given better treatment than the Indian prisoners. According to law the Indian political
prisoners were supposed to be given better rights. Bhagat also demanded that the Indian political
prisoners should not be forced to do any sort of undignified work. This hunger strike lasted for 63
days and ended with the submission of British power. With this he gained tremendous popularity.
Ideology of Bhagat Singh Bhagat Singh used to maintain diary while in jail. Eventually he made
to fill 404 pages. The diary was a precious one as he made numerous notes relating to the
quotations and popular sayings of various people whose vies he supported, prominent were of Karl
Marx and Friedrich Engels. Political thought of Bhagat Singh`s evolved gradually from Gandhian
nationalism to revolutionary Marxism. By the end of 1928, he and his comrades renamed their
organisation the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. After going

The Watergate Of American Politics
In 1972, the biggest scandal in American politics occurred at the Watergate complex. For years, the
struggle to reveal secret of who masterminded this operation occupied the courts in Washington
D.C. The Committee for the Re election of the President (CRP) fought to keep President Richard
Nixon s name clear throughout the confessions of the Watergate burglars and of men inside the
White House. From 1972 until 2017, many other national scandals have been publicized to the
nation, but current political controversies such as President Trump s Russia scandal and Hillary
Clinton s email mishap rival Watergate. The Watergate Scandal

during presidential campaigns and began an era of political scandals.... Show more content on

Operatives working for the Committee to Re elect the President (CRP) burglarize the Democratic
National Committee headquarters in the Washington, DC Watergate office complex. About a
month later, the burglars returned to the complex and were arrested on June 17. On August 20,
1972: Nixon announces that John Dean, a White House counsel, has investigated the situation and
found no one in the White House was involved. On March 17, 1973, John Dean told President
Nixon, We have a cancer within close to the Presidency, that s growing. He tells the president that
the burglars are demanding money and that maybe one million dollars would be needed in the
end. We could get that..., the president replies. Between March 19 and March 23, James W.
McCord, Jr., the first of the president s men to take the fall for the scandal, wrote a letter to the
judge claiming pressure had been applied to the defendants to ensure silence, among other
confessions (APPENDIX #1). Chief Judge John Sirica made the letter public and threatened harsh
punishment, anywhere from twenty to forty years in prison, to force the defendants cooperation.
Then on June 3, 1973, John Dean told investigators that he discussed the cover up of the scandal
with Nixon at least 35 times. Later that month, on June 25, Dean testifies before the Senate
Watergate committee claiming Nixon was involved in the cover up soon after the break in and that

The Importance Of Artistic Appropriation
When it comes to appropriation in artistic practices, I feel as though there are two defining lines
or codes of ethics that relate to the topic in a creative context and with a cultural context artistic
appropriation, the topic of artistic freedom in practices that reference or borrow existing elements
of other work, and cultural appropriation, the issue which spans between being inspired by other
cultural groups to potential exploitation, a lack of representation to a caricaturistic type of racism.
The two types of appropriation are complex, controversial, and often come together to form two
sides of the same argument do we have the right to borrow and if so, from whom and how?
For artistic appropriation, I believe it s okay to appropriate or take elements from other work as
long as one edits the content both physically and contextually and as long as one cites their original
sources.
For cultural appropriation: I generally believe minority voices should tell their own stories but
regardless, one should do their research and appropriate in a way that is authentic, accurate, and
doesn t project stereotypes or other harmful and derogatory content.
By Evelyn McDonnell s definition in, Never Mind the Bollocks: Shepard Fairey s Fight for
Appropriation, Fair Use, and Free Culture, appropriation is a cultural form of explicitly borrowing
from another as a means of commenting and paying tribute, (180) the intentional act of taking to
create or generate new meaning.

The Australian Pilots Association ( Apa )
Introduction
The Australian Pilots Association (APA) is seeking to establish whether they would be able to
pierce the corporate veil in order for the pilots of Xpress Air Ltd (XAL) to claim their former
employment entitlements from Kwik Air Ltd (KAL). In its struggle to respond to the economic
downturn, KAL incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary XAL, and its restructure resulted in 200
pilots from KAL being made redundant and re employed by XAL at lower pay and superannuation.
The APA becomes infuriated at the fact that newly employed pilots at KAL are offered the original
contract with higher pay. In advising the APA in their representation, the nature of the wrongful act
must be identified. Then, we should evaluate the companies legal identity within the corporate
group and the potential existence of agency relationship between them to figure out whether the
veil of incorporation can be lifted in determining the liability that exists for the parties involved.
Separate Legal Entity
In order to establish the liability of each party involved, it must first be determined whether the
liable party will be KAL itself as a corporate personality or its directors. The case of Salomon v
Salomon Co Ltd has established the legal principle of a company as a separate legal entity with its
own rights and responsibilities. This legal doctrine was reaffirmed in Andar Transport Pty Ltd v
Brambles Ltd when Justice Kirby held that the mere fact that the company may be owned or
controlled

Conflict And Violence Between Abrahamic Religions
The history of conflict and violence between the Abrahamic religions has a long and tragic tradition.
Despite their reasons for disagreement and differences, these three religions have many things in
common. Followers of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are monotheists, meaning they belive in
only one God. All three religons have overlapping fugures like Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.
Perhaps the moset notable of these figures is Abraham. jews consider Abraham their founder as
well as their ancestor. CChristians think of Abrahm as an ancestor of Jesus, both spiritually as
well as physically Muslims view Abraham as a prophet of God. all of these religons ahve a set of

Despite their reasons for disagreementJudaism is almost the same thing as the oOld Testament in
the Christian, or Gospal bible. The Qur;an (Islam) states God revealed the Torah and Gospel as a
guide for people, just as the Qur an is a guide for Muslims. In all three of the religions theirr
sacred texts are ysed for worship and prayer. The sabbath, a day for rest and prayer is celebrated
in some form by all the Abrahamic religions. Anouther way these religions are similar is they all
have a holiday, or period of time when they musst give up something. For cChristians thes period

jis life for mankind. Islam does something like Lent, called fasting. This is where Muslims don t

Repentance where in order to be forgivine by God, tthey can do good deeds, or sacrifice
somthing in a Charitable act. All three of the religions have similar places of worship, where
they either pray, or listen to a religious leader. For Jews this place is called a sSynagogue, for

Factors That V Leiden Thrombophilia
Factor V Leiden Thrombophilia Thrombophilia is a disorder that contains several genetic
components that can cause an individual to form arterial and venous thrombi more readily. Many
serious medical complications can result from thrombus formations that are often times fatal. In
fact, a venous thromboembolism (VTE) is relatively common and a thrombosis of the deep
veins of the legs or pelvis can lead to morbidity and mortality. Small portions of this patient
population even develop pulmonary emboli (PE), which can be fatal. This major medical
problem affects 1 in 1,000 persons per year and approximately 1 in 130 Americans younger than
age 65 develop a VTE (Crow, 2003; Kujovich, 2011). Interestingly enough, inherited thrombophilia
can be identified in half of the patients presenting with VTE (Kujovich, 2011). In 1993, European
investigators Dahlback and his colleagues recognized a new mechanism for familial thrombophilia.
Their research was initiated in order to investigate the cause for a number of young adults that
presented with VTE, who had a family history of thrombosis but no detectable genetic link. As a
result, a previously unrecognized mechanism associated with activated protein C resistance (APCR)
was found Factor V Leiden mutation (Crow, 2003). Factor V Leiden is considered the single most
common cause of hereditary thrombophilia and is often linked to thrombosis due to hereditary
hypercoagulability. Studies have indicated that factor V Leiden is a

How And Interrupt Harmful Interaction Patterns Within A...
To help identify and interrupt harmful interaction patterns within a family, I would start with the
assessment and diagnosis process, here the therapist will see tedious patterns of each member. As
counselor, I will center on what is being stated by the family members, discussing the family s
history, physiognomies and nature of the interaction that have taken place within the family, and
what they have attempted to do in order eliminating the issues. All done within a serene setting, that
is designed to be free of distractions, and whereas the therapist I will inspire all members to
participate in the therapy, using the systemic processes will help to facilitate this goal. Using the
Strategic Family therapy, I will use the two maps of human behavior, which is used to guide me
during the healing session. The first is PUSH is the ellipsis, which will authorize my point of view
as the therapist (M.U.S.E, 2010). . Protection is when the system attempts to aid each system
member, in ways that has been shown to be detrimental, here, I will theorize why each family
member conducts themselves, as they do. The unit is the three way relationship explanation that
will permit me to label amalgamation and the dealings, amid the system associates (M.U.S.E, 2010).
Sequences are what has led to the presenting concerns, again, the central focus of the therapy is the
replacement of detrimental behavior and to connect to their

Charles Baudelaire And Victor Hugo
In France, Charles Baudelaire and Victor Hugo defined new grounds to the Romantic movement
with his poems. Often compared with Wordsworth, Baudelaire s French poems surfaced an ease of
poetic elaboration.
His poems including the L Ame du Vin and Mort des Artistes are popular for the thematic basis of
defining the pursuits of life and art.
The English romantic poetry is dense and divided into two eras; William Wordsworth, Samuel
Taylor Coleridge and William Blake wrote in the first half of the romantic period and Lord Byron,
Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Keats wrote in the second half.

We witness how the oldest forms of literature in different parts of the worlds is in the forms of
epic poems. In French literature, we find The Song of Roland to be the oldest literal work. The
Song of Roland is based upon the Battle of Roncevaux lead by King Charlemagne. Some other
famous epics include The Epic of
Gilgamesh, The Odyssey, The Mahabharata and The Tale of the Shipwrecked Sailor, The Epic of
Gilgamesh is known to the oldest form of literal work present till date.
Epic poetry surrounds itself with different characteristics from different kinds of literature. We find
the inclusion of the evocation to the muse in many of the epics and that surrounds as one of the few
things that surface out as a common element in many epic poems.
Many Epics are also written the heroic couplet format. The heroic couplet is a poetic form in which
there are two rhyming pair of lines in iambic pentameter. The poetics form was introduced in The
Canterbury Tales and The Legend of the Good Women.
The study of the heroic couplet links us to the neo classical age, where Dryden uses the technique
clinically in his poems. Heroic couplets became common after the neoclassical age and were found
in the romantic era with Keats poems including the Lamia and Samuel Jonhson s The Vanity of
Human Wishes and The Deserted Village.
The major influence on the English poetry structure came in the period of the Renaissance. As

Total asset turnover
Total asset turnover is a ratio that narrates the amount of sales generated for every unit of the asset.
In 2012 , an asset turnover ratio for Axiata is 0.41 means Axiata can produce $0.41 for every $1
worth of assets. In general, the higher the ratio means the company is more effective at using its
assets. But whether a particular ratio is good or bad differs on the industry in which your company
works. Furthermore, some industries are simply more asset intensive than others ,so their total
turnover ratios will be lower.

Equus By Peter Shaffer Analysis
In both, Equus, By Peter Shaffer, and Bacchae, By Euripides, there were many differences that
were displayed. In Addition, to both having different endings and different ways of teaching a
lesson to the audience. One play being about a boy and his obsession with horses and trying to
get cured and the other play dealing with the gods to represent varies aspects of human
personalities. In Equus, By Peter Shaffer, Equus argues that normal is not always ideal, and that
madness is constructed by society. Dysart, who is Alan s psychiatrist, has dedicated his career to
giving children normal lives, and he attempts the same for Alan. Alan is a seventeen year old boy
who has an intense, religious fascination with horses. After he blinded six horses with a spike one
night, he was sent to therapy with Martin Dysart, who attempts to uncover the reasoning behind this

To Alan, horses are his personal religion, and this unique religion is what gives Alan his sense of
self. He is fixated on the bits in the horses mouths and the reins around their necks, seeing these
as despicable means of confinement and constriction. This is primarily because Alan himself
feels confined by the life he lives and the expectations of his parents and of society, when truly all
he wants is a sense of freedom. It is clear throughout the course of the play that he does not truly
believe that something is inherently wrong with Alan, however, Dysart s duty is to relieve this
child from pain and make him in a sense normal again. On the other hand the play, Bacchae, by
Euripides, holds many themes and symbols that conclude to a deeper and more philosophical
meaning to the play at the end. These themes all lead to one major underlying theory being that to

The Jersey Shore After Hurricane Sandy
As you all know the Jersey Shore took a beating after Hurricane Sandy. Our two houses survived
for the most part, but being there after the destruction, hit me in a way I never thought about
before. I felt in my heart that I was getting a glimpse into what an adopted child feels all through
their transition. Today I was thinking about the day I spent down there waiting for the gas man
to come. Let me explain... Since all power, gas and water had been shut down for some time we
had to get everything working again. As I sat in that 44 degree house waiting for the gas man to
get everything up and running, I got a glimpse out the window. I saw two ducks floating in the
lagoon with garbage all around them and I started to take it all in for the first time since that
October day had changed everything down there. It was a symbol of the past and the present
coming together. There we were in a house that was so cold and alone. Only one month before
the storm hit I was there with a bunch of friends enjoying my world and my life and this house
saw so much laughter, fun and good friends come together. It was alive! All summer long we
were down there enjoying our New House. It was new because Hurricane Irene had ruined the one
that stood there before. This New House was only eight months old and at that moment, as I stood
there being one of the few that came away unscathed, I looked out into the night. It was just
starting to get dark, the houses around me and across from me all

Selling In International Marketing Essay
Some small companies never thought about going global, or in other words, becoming international
retailers. They think of selling their products in foreign countries and think of ways to do so.
Before you know it, they have become global marketers. Many companies know that by doing
business in other countries, they can broaden their potential buyers. By selling to foreign
customers, though, retailers are stumbling upon roadblocks. Selling their product in international
markets is not the same as selling in the United States. Retailers, especially small businesses with
limited resources, are realizing large capital expenditures in order to accommodate salesin foreign

Depending on what type of business you are in, you can find similar companies in other countries
and form a partnership. This gives the seller more recognition in the foreign country. But, it is
usually more costly due to the added expense of another office. By forming a partnership with a
company that is in the country you want to do business in, the partner possibly has a list of
contacts, already. This makes selling the product or service a lot easier. Still though, companies
wanting to expand in foreign markets must be careful in choosing their partners. If they are not
careful whom they choose as a partner, they could risk losing control of their product or service.
And, they need to pay close attention to the day to day activities of selling. Some small businesses
get too hasty because they want to expand their market and gross profit, so they make bad
judgment calls when it comes to finding a company to form their joint venture with. The third
method is by using a licensing agreement. Basically, the foreign company/business buys the rights
to the American product. They become the licensees. This would seem the simplest method, since
the licensee, it seems, would sell the product then send you a check every month or so depending
on the contract. However, you have to be careful of this strategy as well. Some licensees buy the
product and then shove it back on the shelves so it won t compete with

keeping the price of the product down and benefiting the general public. To understand why this
position is the best choice two simple questions must be answered. The first is, is Microsoft a

sudden she felt something come across her. She told herself that she was free. She was happy to
be able to live on her own and only be responsible for herself. Josephine was outside her door
telling Mrs. Mallard to come out, because Josephine thought she was making herself ill. Mrs.
Mallard came out of the room with her arms opened wide and put her hands around her sister s
waist. They both started going to the stairs, and Richards was waiting for them at the bottom. All
of a sudden, someone was opening the door, and their stood Brently Mallard, who did not even
know about the accident or there had even been one. Mrs. Mallard saw her husband, and the
doctors said she died of a heart disease (cited in DiYanni, 2007).
The conflict in the story is that Mrs. Mallard is way too happy about her husband dying. After
going into the room and closing the door, she started looking outside and could see the tops of
trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life (DiYanni 2007, p. 39). She is finally seeing the
life to things now that her husband is dead. She did not stop to ask

Using bones, teeth and joints for reconstructing activity...
During an individual s lifetime the activities they involve themselves in impact on their many
bodily tissues. Markers for these activities are left in the bones, joints and dentition which is useful
for anthropologists as only skeletal material is left in the case of most ancient populations.
Subsequently much research has been undertaken in this area with varying levels of validity. In this
essay I seek to explain what information can be reliably gathered from skeletal material, it will
focus on bonedensity and muscle attachments associated with heavy workloads, jointwear caused
by repeated processes such as grinding grain, osteoarthritis and tooth wear associated with tool use.
To aid this discussion I will detail the activity changes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Food gathering, butchering and carrying materials for fires and temporary shelters are all fairly
short but high intensity physical exercise. Subsequently in hunter gatherer populations there is a
trend in the archaeological record for higher bone density and greater cortical bone thickness in
cross section (Maggiano et al, 2008). The opposite is true of agricultural societies of the past.
Activities involved with agriculture are often slow, repetitive low load level tasks such as
weeding, sowing seeds and the picking and harvesting of crops (Bridges, 1989). These activities
are mainly upper body activities and are more commonly associated with joint wear and
osteoarthritis, which I will mention later. Muscle attachments are the sites on the bone where
ligaments are anchored, these may become exaggerated in individuals with larger than average
musculature. Based on the crude argument that hunter gatherers used leg muscles in day to day
activities and agricultural peoples used their upper body in activity more it stands to reason that the
respective muscle attachments would be enlarged. Molnar for example attempts to trace general as
well as three specific prehistoric activities: archery, harpooning, and kayaking that are likely to
have been performed in past populations from the Baltic sea area using assessment of

Nuclear Families In The 1950s
Understanding 1950s, families is a possibility of a new form of family in order to understand the

The Open Boat by Stephen Crane Essay
The Open Boat by Stephen Crane
The Open Boat Four men drift across a January sea in an open boat, since they lost their ship some
time after dawn. Now, in the clear light of day, the men begin to grasp the full gravity of their
situation. Realizing that their main conflict will be man versus nature, in this case, the raging sea.
In the short story The Open Boat, Stephen Crane gives an itemized description of the two days
spent on a ten foot dinghy by four men a cook, a correspondent, which is Crane himself, the injured
Captain and Billy Higgens, the oiler. The men in the open boat show us that compassion for one s
comrade, unfeeling endurance, and courage are the true moral standards in a neutral universe.

It is explained in the story that many men should have a bathtub bigger than the boat they were
riding in. This is amazing at the beginning of the story, when Crane mentions that they were the
only ones to survive how ungrateful these characters are to be alive in this big hateful world.
During the story the correspondent realizes how lucky he is to be alive and how this was the
best experience of his life. He learns how not to be cynical of men because we are all in the war
against nature together. While the men are afloat they learn a highly momentous lesson about
man versus nature. The natural world does not play favorites among men. The captain realizes
this when all of his crew goes down with the ship except him and three other men. The
correspondent found this to be true when the shark was hunting him while he rowed. The war
with nature raged on in the story showing no signs of letting go. With nature playing tricks on
them as they go. For example, The people on the beach, waving at them. Also, the man swinging
his coat continuously. Then when the thought it could not get worse the boat capsizes. When the
exhausted passengers eventually drifted to shore the oiler finds himself a victim of man versus
nature. Another conflict in this story was with man versus self. An example of this conflict is, If
I am going to be drowned if I am going to be drowned if I am going to be drowned, why, in the
name of the seven mad gods who rule the sea, was I

The Harmony Between Hunting And Conservation
The Harmony Between Hunting and Conservation In 2014, professional hunter Corey Knowlton,
placed a bid of $350,000 for the chance to go on a hunting trip in Namibia. On this trip Knowlton
had the chance to hunt and kill the black rhino, an extremely endangered species. This hunt and the
ideas that have been used to justify it have started a heated debate on the subject. Animal
conservationists, who support the ethical side of the argument, don t understand the desire to kill a
beautiful animal for sport. They believe that to sell the rights to the unnatural slaughter of an
innocent animal for a trophy sends the wrong message. It seems contradictory and unethical
especially in the name of conservation. Conservation by definition is the act... Show more content

Hunting and poaching is mainly responsible for the initial decrease in the population of black
rhinos specifically. Currently, there are approximately 5,000 black rhinos left in the wild today,
and 2,000 of them live in Namibia (Lavandera, 2015). With such a small population size black
rhinos and rhinos in general are on the brink of extinction. Aldo Leopold s land ethic theory simply
pushes the boundaries of the community to include soils, waters, plants, and animals, or
collectively: the land (Leopold, 1948). He believes in giving animals value as that is the only way
people can be ethical towards it (Leopold, 1948). Conservationists use this theory to support their
argument that it is unethical to bring about death and suffering to an animal for the good of the
species in the long run. Richard Leaky, head of the Kenya Wildlife Service, states that conservation
hunting sends a negative message that it s okay to hunt these animals and kill endangered species
and decreases their value (Melvin, 2015). However, they re there are so many other ways we can
increase conservation efforts, the best way being, exposure to the wonders of wildlife and nature
starting at a young age (Melvin, 2015). This would increase the animals value and make more
people understand and practice the ideas behind the land ethic theory. Not to mention classic
conservationists question the contradictory notion that killing an animal this way is an effort to
save the animal from

Dystopian Places In The Giver
The Giver
Simply, a dystopia is defined as a bad place, a place where no one would want to live, a place in
which one s rights and freedoms would be gone, a place where the environment would be
devastated. Dystopia is created from the Greek prefix dis meaning bad, harsh, or wrong and the
Greek root topos meaning place.
The Giver proves all of these characteristics true. Jonas and his community receive no freedom or
pain. Without pain, the world can not evolve because you can not learn from your mistakes. The
community is dehumanized, but because no one has felt happiness they shall not any what it
should feel like. In The Giver by Lois Lowry the setting is a dystopian based community because
citizens live in a dehumanized state, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jonas is sitting with his family at the dinner table when his sister says something very important.
The text states, I feel sorry for anyone who is in a place where he feels strange and stupid.
(Lowry 6). This quote is very important because it shows that even though she doesn t know it
she is starting to realize people aren t treated right. Jonas and his family have been brainwashed
to think that this is how life should be but they just can t figure it out. Shortly after Jonas had a
discussion with his parents whether they love him, his mom tells him why it is inappropriate to
use the word Love . Jonas thinks for a while then he says, Things could change, Gabe, Jonas went
on. Things could be different. I don t know how, but there must be some way for things to be
different. There could be colors. And grandparents, he added, staring through the dimness
toward the ceiling of his sleeping room. And everybody would have the memories. (Lowry 128).
This quotes stood out a lot. Jonas finally realizes how bad people are treated and he wants to
change it for Gabriel. Foreshadowing the end of the book this is the breaking point where Jonas
wants to change life for Gabriel. Jonas realizes his community is far from perfect. His whole life
he believed this was the only way to live, but when he figured out that there were other ways, he
realized how dehumanized his community

Definition Of Propaganda By Jacques Ellul
Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. This statement, a cornerstone of pro Israel
activism and discourse, and the bane of activism for Palestinian rights, in fact reveals the
complexity of propaganda, and of the critical importance of narratives and framing. It perfectly
embodies George Orwell s astute observation that All propaganda is lies, even when one is telling
the truth. This paper argues that Israelis particularly adept at using propaganda because Israel is able

However, Israeli propaganda, at least the most visible, is not directed at Israeli society itself, but
towards the international community . In particular, it is aimed at its geostrategic allies, Western
democracies, especially the US, with whom Israel shares a particularly strong relationship. Yet,
while of course the political leadership of both states are responsible for perpetuating this
relationship, popular support for Israel often stifles discussions about the plight of Palestinians
and their struggle for self determination. As the political turmoil of a faraway state rarely is a
priority in influencing the politics a domestic population, Israeli propaganda is responsible for,
and particularly effective in, framing propaganda in a way that resonates with Western,
particularly American, audiences. Importantly, my use of the term Israeli propaganda refers to
organized pro Israel messages in general, not just propaganda created by the Israeli government

organizations as well as political allies in the West, in promoting pro Israel

The Value Of Loyalty In The Odyssey By Homer
Loyalty is one of the important factors that influences people because loyalty provides stability
for any long lasting relationship. In The Odyssey, an epic poem by Homer, Penelope shows us the
value of loyalty because she is hopeful that her husband will come back, and she does not want to
marry anyone who is not him. Penelopeis a good example of loyalty in The Odysseybecause she
proves her loyalty several times. When Odysseusis gone suitors began to throw themselves at her,
and they would do anything to get to marry her. Since she was a queen, Penelope would have
been expected to marry after her spouce died but she stayed true to her husband, Odysseus, by
coming up with excuses not to marry the suitors until she knew for sure that he was dead. To
avoid choosing a suitor to marry she said that she would chose a husband as soon as she finished
weaving a shroud for her father in law, Laertes, even though he was not sick or ready to die yet.
Everyday she would show them the progress that she had made weaving the shroud, but every
night before she went to bed she would unweave all of her work and start over the next day so that
the shroud would never be finished.

The Genre Of Horror Films
First of all, genre is the method categorized a film based on similarities in the narrative elements.
There are a wide range of different types of film genres: detective, action, adventure, gangster or
crime, science fiction, drama, horror, romance, comedy, musical and so on. It is quite difficult to
identify a particular filmbecause a film might have a few of different genres. That is the reason
why sub genres exist. Sub genres can help us to more clarity in identify the genreof a film. For
example, a horror filmmight involve supernatural.thriller, mystery or others. Horror is a classical
genre that has now become far more popular with audiences than perhaps at any other time in its
history. This genre has been around since 1890s and it is one of the oldest genres from
Hollywood. The iconic theme across horror films is usually revolved around mirror, superhuman
killer, curse and so on. The ending will always like return to normalcy and victory over the
monstrous. I believe that this is the ending which most audiences wish to be. There are a few of
sub genres in horror films which are slasher flicks, supernatural and psychological and they are
widely adapted in hybrid films nowadays. Slasher flicks as known as massacre is a type of
horror film that usually involves murders killing the victims in a violent manner and usually with
a tool like knife, axe or others. For examples are serial killer and mass murder. For psychological

Essay on Overview of Crohn s Disease
Description Crohn s disease is chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines however affects the
entire digestive system, from the mouth to the anus otherwise known as the Gastrointestinal Tract
(GI Tract) [1]. Individuals affected by the disease are often young adults and adolescents aged 15
35 [7]. Crohn s Disease is one of the two types of Inflammatory Bowel Disorders (IBD), the other
being ulcerative colitis[3] and is usually located in the lower part of the small intestines and the
upper end of the colon. There is no exact cause of this disease however various stimuli can cause
the disease such as bacteria, genetics or Paneth cells [4]. Paneth cells are one of the four main

This will actually allow doctors to see any abnormalities of the intestines such as narrowing,
ulcerations, and sometimes fistulae of the bowel [8] and even how much of the GI tract the
disease is affecting [2]. Along, with the many benefits of this imaging test, there are some risks that
are associated with this diagnostic such as radiation. Radiation is a large factor in which can affect
overall health and with overexposure to radiation can cause mutations in cells developing cancers
[2].
Symptoms
Symptoms would often appear in young adults and can either develop slowly or have a sudden
onset [9]. They often vary depending on the person and location of the disease; for instance, some
may experience more of one symptom than another. Many common symptoms include, persistent
diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, rectal bleeding, anal leakage, weight loss, abscesses (a localized
infection), fistulas (abnormal tube connecting two hollow organs such as the vagina and the
colon), anxiety and depression. Many less common symptoms that would affect 1 in 3 people
would be joint, skin and eye inflammations [1]. This disease may also lead to other related
illnesses such as perianal disease, as 25% of those who have Crohn s disease may develop it [4].
However, one in three patients will experience other conditions with the anal area such as swelling

Essay about The Zebra Mussel
Populations of the zebra mussel, Dreissena polymorpha (Pallas), were first found in the Laurentian
Great Lakes in 1988 (Hebert et al., 1989). This species is native to the Caspian, Aral, and Black
Seas and the rivers that drain into them but has spread throughout Europe, principally during the
18th century. Since it is restricted to estuarine and freshwater habitats, it is presumed that it was
introduced into North America by ballast waters of transoceanic vessels. Based on the substantial
amount of genetic variation found in these initial populations, as estimated from electrophoretic
variation of allozymes, the colonization of the Great Lakeswas by a large number of immigrants and
not just a few founders... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This blockage can result in heat damage to power plants and necessitates costly removal or
replacement of intake pipes (Minchin and Moriarty, 1998).
Colonization by zebra mussels has devastating ecological impacts on native bivalves (Mackie,
1991; Haag et al., 1993), frequently driving them to local extinction. Zebra mussels readily, perhaps
preferentially, settle on native bivalves and eventually cover them over. They filter the water so
efficiently that they can lower the amount of suspended food organisms below levels needed to
sustain native unionids.
Their success in spreading rapidly and colonizing new areas is due to two features of zebra mussel
biology. Firstly, zebra mussels produce large numbers ( gt; 30,000 per female) of planktotrophic
veliger larvae which can survive for 10 15 days (Hebert et al., 1989). Such larvae are well suited
for efficient dispersal by water currents, especially in riverine systems. Additionally, they don t
require the presence of suitable host species of fish, as do native unionid larvae. Secondly, the
spread of zebra mussels is aided by their ability to attach to objects by byssal threads (the same
ability that leads to their fouling problems). Because of this ability, adult zebra mussels can attach
to and be spread by ships,

Research Paper On Sonic Waves
Whether or not you realize it, there is energy all around us. This energy changes and influences
the way the world works. When someone tells you to think of energy, the first thing that likely
comes to mind is electricity or heat, as that is what we commonly see and hear about. If you are
asked to think of a powerful kind of energy, you may think of radiation or fire, as they can kill
people and destroy forests. Although these may be the most obvious kinds of energy, there is
another kind of energy that can be both more helpful and more dangerous; shock waves. These
waves surround us, yet we have only just began to explore their many uses. Shock waves can be

an object s resonant frequency is played, it causes the object to vibrate. Ideally, the glass would

Why Organisations Need to Change
Why organisations need to change
Change management is relevant as though the research finds that change is taking place at an ever
increasing pace, the evidence suggests that most change initiatives fail. For example, recent CIPD
research suggested that less than 60% of re organisations met their stated objectives which are
usually bottom line improvement. This is consistent with other published research.
The impact of failures to introduce effective change can also be high: loss of market position,
removal of senior management, loss of stakeholder credibility, loss of key employees.
Finally, one organisational response to change is that organisational forms are themselves evolving.
Therefore, the change management response will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Management need to be aware of these different criteria to ensure they respond appropriately.
Suggested reasons for resistance include: loss of control, shock of new, uncertainty, inconvenience,
threat to status, competence fears. It is important to try to diagnose the cause of employee
resistance as this will help determine the focus of effort in trying to reduce/remove the issue.
What can be done to make change management more effective?
From the issues raised in the section above, it can be seen that change is complex and there is not
a single solution. However, a number of key areas of focus emerge.
Effective leadership is a key enabler as it provides the vision and the rationale for change.
Different styles of leadership have been identified, for example coercive, directive, consultative
and collaborative. These different styles may each be appropriate depending on the type and scale
of change being undertaken. For example, when there is a large scale organisation wide change a
directive style has been identified as most effective.
Appropriate and timely training is frequently identified as key to effective change. Examples of
training requirements might include:
* Project and programme management skills to ensure change initiatives are completed both on
time and to budget.

The Kikuyu Tribe of Kenya and the Oath-Taking Process
The Kikuyu tribe and the oath taking process Abstract: This paper discuses in regard to the
Kikuyu people in Kenya and concerning their tendency to do everything in their power to respect
oaths that they take. The oath taking process typically lasts for very long and makes it mandatory
for individuals who experience it to focus on acting in accordance with the cause that they join.
Paper: Kenya is widely known for its witchcraft practices and for the fact that its inhabitants are
particularly superstitious. Belief in witchcraft is normally encountered in Kenya in critical times
when individuals are unable to recover from the crisis that they are in by relying on conventional
institutions. This makes it possible for people to look for solutions in less normal places and it
encourages witches to continue to perform rituals that are presumably meant to directly affect
society. Even with the fact that many of these rituals are immoral in character and especially
illogical, many Kenyans continue to perform them and to believe that they are probable to
guarantee the wellbeing of their community. Murder rituals performed by individuals belonging to
the Mau Mau community often happen across Kenya and stand as an example regarding how
tradition can actually reflect negatively on a peoples. Although Kenya is a multicultural nation, the

Essay on Dealing with Aggression
Dealing with Aggression
Abstract
We live in a society where aggressive acts happen every day, but do we really know what causes it?
How can we help ourselves and others to understand what aggression is? First off, we need to
define aggression, tell it s causes and effects and determine the best way to deal with it. For
example, aggression can be positive or negative, accidental or intended and physical or mental.
Aggression is a continuing behavior in our world today and I feel that it is very important that we
try to start controlling it now.
Aggression is a critical part of animal existence, which is a driving force to humans, as we too are
animals. The source of aggression within humans is an ongoing list so therefore, ... Show more

Aggression can fall under a number of forms. Due to its relative nature, aggression is extremely
hard to isolate and study. A major distinction made in animal studies of aggression, and one that
may well have profound implications for human aggression, is the difference between offensive and
defensive aggression (Feshbach, Zagrodzka 1997). Much research has already been done indicating
that different brain sites mediate predation and defensive aggression. Aggression can take many
different paths. The act of hitting a wall to release aggression has some of the same roots as playing
football and enjoying hitting the quarterback. A child yelling at their parents could be equated in its
aggressiveness with someone honking their horn when they get cut off driving. Psychologist Arlene
Stillwell performed an experiment where she assigned ordinary college students at random to play
the role of a victim or a perpetrator in a small incident. Then she asked the students to describe the
situation that had just happened. What she found was that both victims and perpetrators deformed
the truth equally to present their sides in a better light. Victims would dwell on their lasting
traumas from the incident while the perpetrator might make the act seem like a one time action
provoked by insurmountable circumstances. The resulting implication is that aggression is in the
eye of the beholder

was badly affected by the 2008/09 recession but it has been forecasted to improve hugely between
now and 2018 (SouthAfrica.info, 2015). The hospitality industry is an incredibly large industry that
includes businesses that provide services for accommodation, recreation and dining. Examples of
these are hotels, guesthouses, theme parks, restaurants, event planning, cruise liners and also ...

The Immigration And Naturalization Service
Thousands of illegal immigrants smuggle themselves across the United States border each day.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service, or the INS, concluded that the United States is
currently a place to call home for a population of approximately twelve million illegal immigrants
(Hayes 16). An American who has never been to Mexico, for example, may wonder why these
people risk their lives to live in the United States. With the jobs, education, welfare, and
unemployment compensation the American government has to offer, the United States appears as
a lifeboat for these poor and uneducated immigrants (Hayes 16). The American dream is what all
citizens of the United States strive to achieve. Everyone wants to get an education, a... Show more

Employers are able to make money because production is fast and cheap for them. The Pew
Hispanic Center concluded in 2001 classified an estimated 5.3 million workers in the U.S. as
unauthorized workers in the labor force. These jobs include 700,000 restaurant workers, 250,000
household workers, and 620,000 construction workers (Murphy). This is a whole lot of cheap
labor, and without it the U.S. would suffer. If 620,000 construction workers were gone, home
improvement projects across the nation would quickly be hard to find. With a large number of
these immigrants also earning wages working on farms, Americans would find much of their
produce rotting in fields due to the lack of workers (Murphy 2). The positive effect of these
immigrants on the nation s labor force is well supported by Americans; however, the opinion of
those rejecting these workers is accepted and taken into account as well. The main argument of
Americans rejecting the idea of immigration is supported by the rising unemployment rate in
America. There are hundreds of American natives who are unemployed. Harvard sociologist,
Christopher Jencks, states, The reason that Americans will not take jobs washing dishes, cleaning
hotel rooms, mowing lawns, and picking fruit is because immigrant labor has driven the wages
down (Taylor). Not only are the wages being driven down, but the working conditions as well.
Without immigrants working it will open opportunities for low skilled

Essay on Feasibility of Geothermal Energy in the United...
Feasibility of Geothermal Energy in the United States Abstract Over the past years, gasoline and
electricity have been the leading energy resources. The search for an alternative source of energy
has become a complicated problem for scientists and an economic dilemma for America s public.
Scientists have been trying to recognize geothermal energy as the next leading source of energy. In
this research paper, I account for the inexpensive costs and different methods of gathering the
geothermal energy of America. Geothermal energy is a renewable energy resource which can heat
and cool buildings. Although there are some by products, using a particular type of system can help
stop their emission. In conclusion, the use of geothermal energy... Show more content on

The pipes hold water, or glycol, transferring the heat inside buildings, which is known as heat
exchange (Solar4Scolars, para. 2 and 3). Feasibility of Geothermal Energy in the United States 3
Government funded research into obtaining geothermal energy was greatly dynamic in the 1970s
and early 1980s. However, as oil prices declined in the mid 1980s, alternative energy sources
declined, thus, funding for geothermal energy research greatly reduced. Consequently, this
monetary difficulty stifled any advancement on geothermal technology. Now that energy concerns
have resurfaced, an opportunity exists for the U.S. to pursue the EGS [Enhanced Geothermal
Systems] option aggressively to meet long term national needs, as observed by MIT Professor
Jefferson Tester (MIT, January 22, 2007, para. 19). Based on previous studies, there is evidence that
geothermal energy has a hopeful future in helping the United States. To study the potential use of
geothermal energy, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) found from experimental
procedures that mining heat stored as thermal energy can supply electricity at competitive prices
and cause little detriment to the environment. The study showed that drilling wells that reached hot
rock and connecting them to regions of fractured rock stimulated water flow. Relating to geothermal
energy, this exchange of heat produced large amounts of steam and hot water to run

A date which will live in infamy . This is a quote said to congress by the Commander in Chief
Franklin Roosevelt. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor Roosevelt asked congress to declare war on
Japan. Pearl Harbor was a surprise to the United States, a great plan to the Japanese Empire, and a
gateway to World War II. The attack on Pearl Harbor
took a toll on countries all over the world.
That day in 1941 has been and forever will be the most infamous act of the Japanese Empire.

If their people got in their way or tried to slow down their progress, civil war was the first option
to get them back in line. Industrialization and militarization were two advances in their country
that were quickly grasped. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was famous for saying Enrich the Country,
Strengthen the Army . As the empire began to conquer other lands surrounding them, this quote
was law and what they lived everyday by. Enriching their country and making a stronger army is
one of the key things that made the Japanese Empire excellent. By increasing the stregnth of their
army many other European countries fell to Japan after the Pearl Harbor attack. From the time
when Japan attacked the United States, the United States were brought into World War II. Soon
they began to ask Japan to surrender, but the Japanese would not give in. In 1947, the Empire of
Japan fell due to the United Sates dropping atomic bombs on them . Since the Japanese would not
give in, the United States decided to bomb them with an atomic bomb. The bombing of Hiroshima
and Nagasaki collapsed the empire and the Japanese Empire failed to bounce back.
From 1941 to the end of World War II, the United States had many things to focus on. President

Even though Carnival Cruise Lines present is looking positive, there are still some opportunities
and challenges. Over the past two years Carnival Cruise Lines has captured transactional data about
its customers but to date has not taken advantage of it to create value. And the data also reflect the
Carnival relationship with travel agency. Carnival s reservations office only can get roughly
information from travel agency booking. And 85% booking from travel agency with 10%
commission also causes Carnival want to enhance their own direct sale channel. All of these

The Importance Of Redneck
Today, the term redneck is often jokingly used to refer to people from rural communities who
like to drink cheap beer and watch NASCAR. Did you know, though, that the term comes from
the fact that people who worked in the fields would have red necks from being in the sun all
day? It was and still is, to many a term that describes salt of the earth people who aren t afraid to
put in a hard day s work. The world of agricultural isn t just a world of corn and cows, though.
Working in an agricultural job could mean that you live in a city and spend your time in a
research facility or creating laws just as much as it could mean that your daily suit is a pair of
overalls. One type of job is not more important than the other. According to

based on how much money you have or make. Within organizations there are different types of
budgettypes such as revenue budgets, expense budget, and operating budget. Revenue Budgets
within the health care field are defined as the listing of expected revenues of an organization
usually on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. (Gapenski, 2013). Therefore being said within

Reaction Paper On Bungee Jumping
пїјFINAL
Dante Mattson 11 Physics
28 August 2014
!
Bungee Jumping is an extreme sport, it requires the participant to jump from a bridge, crane or
other high place while secured at the ankles with a nylon cased rubber band. From the mere sight
of someone Bungee Jumping, one might assume that the act is very dangerous for obvious
reasons, for example: The rope breaking there s nothing to save you down there, so why do so
many people put their lives in a piece of elastic? Bungee Jumping relies on the restoring force of the
elastic to protect the jumper from the fall below. Because of the Law of Conservation of Energy, the
gravitational potential energy at the top of the jump is converted to elastic potential energy at the
bottom of the jump. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It would show that it would potentially be life threatening to use the wrong material in real
bungee jumping. It was proven that the elastic based cord (green) would be most suitable for
bungee jumping. This is because the force exerted is more spaced out, and allows for a softer
drop to equilibrium, rather than a violent, potentially deadly faster stop. The gradual restoring
force is essential to bungee jumping. To come to a safe stop, restoring force is needed. Without
said force, the force of the person jumping would be applied directly to the rope / elastic, causing
it to potentially break and the person to fall. The rebound phase, consisting of dampened
oscillatory motion, safely decreases the velocity of the jumper. The Galilean paradigm of the
motion of constant masses, states every acceleration must be produced by a force. Bungee
jumping is proof of this physics concept. When the person jumps, the gravity produces
acceleration on the body, forcing the person down, and the rope attached with it. The restoring
oscillations act upon the body to dampen the downwards forces. Because the Hooke s Law
equation will deviate when the elastic fails, at a certain applied force; as materials cannot be
compressed beyond a minimum size, or extended beyond a maximum size. The modern theory of
elasticity generalises to state that the strain or deformation of an elastic material is proportional
to the stress applied to it. Hooke s Law is crucial to this EEI because Hooke s Law calculates the
extension of an elastic material from the spring constant (k) and the change in x, also known as
∆x and will determine the safest alternative for use in Bungee

Technological Innovations In World War One
War, whether intentional or not, surrounds us and has done for many centuries. The four years
of the First World War saw combat on a scale that had never been experienced before the conflict
was global, it affected countless millions and, due to rapid technological advances on all sides,
the nature of combat changed significantly. The final days of swords and cavalry charges gave
way to the routine use of machine guns and tanks a new technological era had been heralded, an
era we still live in today. In World War
One (WW1), technological innovations were primarily aimed
at ending the stalemate and aiding the allied victory. War demands the development of new
methods of destruction and with that an increase in technology. WW1 saw the innovation

MLK Servant Leader
Servant Leader MLK vs. Servant Leader Honest Abe Throughout the centuries, there have been
many servant leaders that changed the world in their own different ways. MLK and Abraham
Lincoln used the servant leader characteristic, commitment to the people by giving everything
they have for the people. Abe and MLK also used conceptualization to help people dream big
dreams. Lastly, MLK and Lincoln used persuasion to help non believers to join the cause. They
both used the same servant leader characteristics, but the way they used the characteristic was
different. Committing to the growth of the people is a servant leader characteristic that mean the
servant leader is selfless in their acts to the cause they are supporting. Martin Luther King, Jr.
committed himself to the growth people by giving his time to personal life to help brake the
segregation. This is noticeable through all the events he was part of and all the speeches he shared
with the public. Abraham Lincoln committed himself to the growth people from the beginning of
his presidency. Abraham was a humble individual that only wanted to help the people of the united

Curriculum Of The Other Woman
As Luce Irigaray identifies, in her book Speculum of the Other Woman, Antigone is caught in a
puzzling paradox of both intentionally committing her crime with full knowledge of her act, while
at the same time remaining completely ignorant and unconscious of the law. She says, what an
amazing vicious circle in a single syllogistic system. Whereby the unconscious while remaining
unconscious, is yet supposed to know the laws of a consciousnesswhich is permitted to remain
ignorant of it and will become even more repressed as a result of failing to respect those laws
(223). For Hegel, women do not have the ability to conceptualize ethical duty due to their
inescapable nature. How is it that Antigone is guilty by virtue of her intentional crime, while
remaining ignorant by virtue of her unconsciousness of the law? Kelly Oliver, in her article
Antigone s Ghost, suggests that one can speculate if it is at this stage of the dialectic where women
become conscious, however, she rightly indicates that this is an impossible scenario because unlike
men, women are unable to break free from nature (Oliver, 79). The feminine is bound to the family
and remains unconscious to her acts as ethical.
Because women are restrained by nature to the divine law, the only type of knowledge women can
have of committing a crime and the guilt associated with a crime is intuitive knowledge. At this
point of the phenomenology (and arguably at no point in the phenomenology), women do not have a

Motivation Of Professionalism And Success
Maxwell Almaguer
Professor Lace
English 101
28 February 2015
Motivation to Professionalism Student professionalism and success are required to work together
to motivate the student to be an efficient employee in the future. I am a good example of a
student in progress because I always arrive on time to my classes or work; follow any directions
from my professors or employers, and follow ethics that influence my professional behavior
towards other individuals. These ideas and ethics will benefit me in the future because it will
satisfy the requirements of employers and will assist me in to obtaining promotions.
Professionalism and success is what humans need to survive in modern society. As you read,
you will need a basic understanding of ethics and what do they propose towards professionalism.
My ethics allowed me to be a great example of student success because every day is one step
closer to my educational goals. In order to reach my educational goals, I must follow three
simple expectations; arrive on time to class and work to be prepared for assignments and tasks
provided by the professor or supervisor. When I follow my ethics, it allows me to behave
professionally and accomplish my responsibilities as they come and go. For professional behavior,
my definition for student success has now expanded beyond the achievement of goals into a larger
realization that success is interdependent and systemic. It doesn t begin and end with the individual
or even two individuals.

Rome And Greek Democracies
Rome and Greece were milestones in human history, the reason was they were the imitators of the

country, so different cities had different political systems, the one ruled through democracies was
called Athens. Because of population increment and economic expression caused huge pressure to

them feed themselves, and the money of government mainly came form taxes. Therefore, the main

feel this way not only because Heather strongly agrees that teaching is an optimal choice of a
young person today but due to the passion she possesses for her job. As Heather described her

Children have this undeniable excitement about them; everyday is a good day, as they do not

  • 2. Bhagat Singh Bhagat SinghBhagat Singh was a freedom fighter and one of the most famous revolutionaries of Indian Independence Movement. It is also believed that he was one of the earliest Marxists in India. Bhagat Singh was born in a family that was actively involved in revolutionary activities against the British rule in the country. The name given to Bhagat Singh meant `devotee`. `Arya Samaj` had a huge impact on the life of Bhagat Singh`s father Sardar Kishan Singh Sandhu. His uncles as well as his father were all part of the `Ghadar Party` that was led by Kartar Singh Sarabha. Bhagat Singh`s mentor was Kartar Singh Sarabha, who was a freedom fighter of the country. Early Life of Bhagat Singh Bhagat Singh was born on 27th September, 1907 into a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bhagat Singh admitted his crime and made statements in the court against the British as a tool to publicise their cause of freedom struggle. However, the court ordered the case to be carried out without members of the association who were present at the hearing. This order produced a chaos amongst the supporters of Bhagat Singh. Bhagat Singh along with other prisoners launched hunger strike in the jail. The main reason behind this was that the British thieves and murderers were given better treatment than the Indian prisoners. According to law the Indian political prisoners were supposed to be given better rights. Bhagat also demanded that the Indian political prisoners should not be forced to do any sort of undignified work. This hunger strike lasted for 63 days and ended with the submission of British power. With this he gained tremendous popularity. Ideology of Bhagat Singh Bhagat Singh used to maintain diary while in jail. Eventually he made to fill 404 pages. The diary was a precious one as he made numerous notes relating to the quotations and popular sayings of various people whose vies he supported, prominent were of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Political thought of Bhagat Singh`s evolved gradually from Gandhian nationalism to revolutionary Marxism. By the end of 1928, he and his comrades renamed their organisation the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. After going ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Watergate Of American Politics In 1972, the biggest scandal in American politics occurred at the Watergate complex. For years, the struggle to reveal secret of who masterminded this operation occupied the courts in Washington D.C. The Committee for the Re election of the President (CRP) fought to keep President Richard Nixon s name clear throughout the confessions of the Watergate burglars and of men inside the White House. From 1972 until 2017, many other national scandals have been publicized to the nation, but current political controversies such as President Trump s Russia scandal and Hillary Clinton s email mishap rival Watergate. The Watergate Scandal changed the security measures taken during presidential campaigns and began an era of political scandals.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Operatives working for the Committee to Re elect the President (CRP) burglarize the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Washington, DC Watergate office complex. About a month later, the burglars returned to the complex and were arrested on June 17. On August 20, 1972: Nixon announces that John Dean, a White House counsel, has investigated the situation and found no one in the White House was involved. On March 17, 1973, John Dean told President Nixon, We have a cancer within close to the Presidency, that s growing. He tells the president that the burglars are demanding money and that maybe one million dollars would be needed in the end. We could get that..., the president replies. Between March 19 and March 23, James W. McCord, Jr., the first of the president s men to take the fall for the scandal, wrote a letter to the judge claiming pressure had been applied to the defendants to ensure silence, among other confessions (APPENDIX #1). Chief Judge John Sirica made the letter public and threatened harsh punishment, anywhere from twenty to forty years in prison, to force the defendants cooperation. Then on June 3, 1973, John Dean told investigators that he discussed the cover up of the scandal with Nixon at least 35 times. Later that month, on June 25, Dean testifies before the Senate Watergate committee claiming Nixon was involved in the cover up soon after the break in and that the White House had ... • 4. The Importance Of Artistic Appropriation When it comes to appropriation in artistic practices, I feel as though there are two defining lines or codes of ethics that relate to the topic in a creative context and with a cultural context artistic appropriation, the topic of artistic freedom in practices that reference or borrow existing elements of other work, and cultural appropriation, the issue which spans between being inspired by other cultural groups to potential exploitation, a lack of representation to a caricaturistic type of racism. The two types of appropriation are complex, controversial, and often come together to form two sides of the same argument do we have the right to borrow and if so, from whom and how? For artistic appropriation, I believe it s okay to appropriate or take elements from other work as long as one edits the content both physically and contextually and as long as one cites their original sources. For cultural appropriation: I generally believe minority voices should tell their own stories but regardless, one should do their research and appropriate in a way that is authentic, accurate, and doesn t project stereotypes or other harmful and derogatory content. By Evelyn McDonnell s definition in, Never Mind the Bollocks: Shepard Fairey s Fight for Appropriation, Fair Use, and Free Culture, appropriation is a cultural form of explicitly borrowing from another as a means of commenting and paying tribute, (180) the intentional act of taking to create or generate new meaning. ... • 5. The Australian Pilots Association ( Apa ) Introduction The Australian Pilots Association (APA) is seeking to establish whether they would be able to pierce the corporate veil in order for the pilots of Xpress Air Ltd (XAL) to claim their former employment entitlements from Kwik Air Ltd (KAL). In its struggle to respond to the economic downturn, KAL incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary XAL, and its restructure resulted in 200 pilots from KAL being made redundant and re employed by XAL at lower pay and superannuation. The APA becomes infuriated at the fact that newly employed pilots at KAL are offered the original contract with higher pay. In advising the APA in their representation, the nature of the wrongful act must be identified. Then, we should evaluate the companies legal identity within the corporate group and the potential existence of agency relationship between them to figure out whether the veil of incorporation can be lifted in determining the liability that exists for the parties involved. Separate Legal Entity In order to establish the liability of each party involved, it must first be determined whether the liable party will be KAL itself as a corporate personality or its directors. The case of Salomon v Salomon Co Ltd has established the legal principle of a company as a separate legal entity with its own rights and responsibilities. This legal doctrine was reaffirmed in Andar Transport Pty Ltd v Brambles Ltd when Justice Kirby held that the mere fact that the company may be owned or controlled ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Despite their reasons for disagreement and differences, these three religions have many things in common. Followers of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are monotheists, meaning they belive in only one God. All three religons have overlapping fugures like Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Perhaps the moset notable of these figures is Abraham. jews consider Abraham their founder as well as their ancestor. The Qur;an (Islam) states God revealed the Torah and Gospel as a guide for people, just as the Qur an is a guide for Muslims. In all three of the religions theirr sacred texts are ysed for worship and prayer. The sabbath, a day for rest and prayer is celebrated in some form by all the Abrahamic religions. Anouther way these religions are similar is they all have a holiday, or period of time when they musst give up something. For cChristians thes period is Kknown as Lent.. Lent is where each person must give up something to represent Jesus giving jis life for mankind. Islam does something like Lent, called fasting. This is where Muslims don t eat while the sun is up for the monthe of Ramadan. • 7. Factors That V Leiden Thrombophilia Factor V Leiden Thrombophilia Thrombophilia is a disorder that contains several genetic components that can cause an individual to form arterial and venous thrombi more readily. Many serious medical complications can result from thrombus formations that are often times fatal. In fact, a venous thromboembolism (VTE) is relatively common and a thrombosis of the deep veins of the legs or pelvis can lead to morbidity and mortality. Small portions of this patient population even develop pulmonary emboli (PE), which can be fatal. This major medical problem affects 1 in 1,000 persons per year and approximately 1 in 130 Americans younger than age 65 develop a VTE (Crow, 2003; Kujovich, 2011). Interestingly enough, inherited thrombophilia can be identified in half of the patients presenting with VTE (Kujovich, 2011). In 1993, European investigators Dahlback and his colleagues recognized a new mechanism for familial thrombophilia. Their research was initiated in order to investigate the cause for a number of young adults that presented with VTE, who had a family history of thrombosis but no detectable genetic link. As a result, a previously unrecognized mechanism associated with activated protein C resistance (APCR) was found Factor V Leiden mutation (Crow, 2003). Factor V Leiden is considered the single most common cause of hereditary thrombophilia and is often linked to thrombosis due to hereditary hypercoagulability. Studies have indicated that factor V Leiden is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. How And Interrupt Harmful Interaction Patterns Within A... To help identify and interrupt harmful interaction patterns within a family, I would start with the assessment and diagnosis process, here the therapist will see tedious patterns of each member. As counselor, I will center on what is being stated by the family members, discussing the family s history, physiognomies and nature of the interaction that have taken place within the family, and what they have attempted to do in order eliminating the issues. All done within a serene setting, that is designed to be free of distractions, and whereas the therapist I will inspire all members to participate in the therapy, using the systemic processes will help to facilitate this goal. Using the Strategic Family therapy, I will use the two maps of human behavior, which is used to guide me during the healing session. The first is PUSH is the ellipsis, which will authorize my point of view as the therapist (M.U.S.E, 2010). . Protection is when the system attempts to aid each system member, in ways that has been shown to be detrimental, here, I will theorize why each family member conducts themselves, as they do. The unit is the three way relationship explanation that will permit me to label amalgamation and the dealings, amid the system associates (M.U.S.E, 2010). Sequences are what has led to the presenting concerns, again, the central focus of the therapy is the replacement of detrimental behavior and to connect to their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Often compared with Wordsworth, Baudelaire s French poems surfaced an ease of poetic elaboration. His poems including the L Ame du Vin and Mort des Artistes are popular for the thematic basis of defining the pursuits of life and art. The English romantic poetry is dense and divided into two eras; William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Blake wrote in the first half of the romantic period and Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Keats wrote in the second half. But, it is usually more costly due to the added expense of another office. By forming a partnership with a company that is in the country you want to do business in, the partner possibly has a list of contacts, already. Some small businesses get too hasty because they want to expand their market and gross profit, so they make bad judgment calls when it comes to finding a company to form their joint venture with. The third method is by using a licensing agreement. Basically, the foreign company/business buys the rights to the American product. They become the licensees. Subsequently in hunter gatherer populations there is a trend in the archaeological record for higher bone density and greater cortical bone thickness in cross section (Maggiano et al, 2008). The opposite is true of agricultural societies of the past. Activities involved with agriculture are often slow, repetitive low load level tasks such as weeding, sowing seeds and the picking and harvesting of crops (Bridges, 1989). These activities are mainly upper body activities and are more commonly associated with joint wear and osteoarthritis, which I will mention later. Muscle attachments are the sites on the bone where ligaments are anchored, these may become exaggerated in individuals with larger than average musculature. Based on the crude argument that hunter gatherers used leg muscles in day to day activities and agricultural peoples used their upper body in activity more it stands to reason that the respective muscle attachments would be enlarged. This is amazing at the beginning of the story, when Crane mentions that they were the only ones to survive how ungrateful these characters are to be alive in this big hateful world. During the story the correspondent realizes how lucky he is to be alive and how this was the best experience of his life. He learns how not to be cynical of men because we are all in the war against nature together. While the men are afloat they learn a highly momentous lesson about man versus nature. The natural world does not play favorites among men. The captain realizes this when all of his crew goes down with the ship except him and three other men. The correspondent found this to be true when the shark was hunting him while he rowed. The war with nature raged on in the story showing no signs of letting go. Then when the thought it could not get worse the boat capsizes. When the exhausted passengers eventually drifted to shore the oiler finds himself a victim of man versus nature. On this trip Knowlton had the chance to hunt and kill the black rhino, an extremely endangered species. This hunt and the ideas that have been used to justify it have started a heated debate on the subject. Animal conservationists, who support the ethical side of the argument, don t understand the desire to kill a beautiful animal for sport. Hunting and poaching is mainly responsible for the initial decrease in the population of black rhinos specifically. Currently, there are approximately 5,000 black rhinos left in the wild today, and 2,000 of them live in Namibia (Lavandera, 2015). With such a small population size black rhinos and rhinos in general are on the brink of extinction. Aldo Leopold s land ethic theory simply pushes the boundaries of the community to include soils, waters, plants, and animals, or collectively: the land (Leopold, 1948). He believes in giving animals value as that is the only way people can be ethical towards it (Leopold, 1948). Conservationists use this theory to support their argument that it is unethical to bring about death and suffering to an animal for the good of the species in the long run. Richard Leaky, head of the Kenya Wildlife Service, states that conservation hunting sends a negative message that it s okay to hunt these animals and kill endangered species and decreases their value (Melvin, 2015). Jonas and his community receive no freedom or pain. Without pain, the world can not evolve because you can not learn from your mistakes. The community is dehumanized, but because no one has felt happiness they shall not any what it should feel like. Jonas and his family have been brainwashed to think that this is how life should be but they just can t figure it out. Shortly after Jonas had a discussion with his parents whether they love him, his mom tells him why it is inappropriate to use the word Love . There could be colors. And grandparents, he added, staring through the dimness toward the ceiling of his sleeping room. And everybody would have the memories. (Lowry 128). This species is native to the Caspian, Aral, and Black Seas and the rivers that drain into them but has spread throughout Europe, principally during the 18th century. Since it is restricted to estuarine and freshwater habitats, it is presumed that it was introduced into North America by ballast waters of transoceanic vessels. Colonization by zebra mussels has devastating ecological impacts on native bivalves (Mackie, 1991; Haag et al., 1993), frequently driving them to local extinction. Zebra mussels readily, perhaps preferentially, settle on native bivalves and eventually cover them over. They filter the water so efficiently that they can lower the amount of suspended food organisms below levels needed to sustain native unionids. Their success in spreading rapidly and colonizing new areas is due to two features of zebra mussel biology. Firstly, zebra mussels produce large numbers ( gt; 30,000 per female) of planktotrophic veliger larvae which can survive for 10 15 days (Hebert et al., 1989). Such larvae are well suited for efficient dispersal by water currents, especially in riverine systems. Additionally, they don t require the presence of suitable host species of fish, as do native unionid larvae. Secondly, the spread of zebra mussels is aided by their ability to attach to objects by byssal threads (the same ability that leads to their fouling problems). Because of this ability, adult zebra mussels can attach to and be spread by ships, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The oath taking process typically lasts for very long and makes it mandatory for individuals who experience it to focus on acting in accordance with the cause that they join. Belief in witchcraft is normally encountered in Kenya in critical times when individuals are unable to recover from the crisis that they are in by relying on conventional institutions. A major distinction made in animal studies of aggression, and one that may well have profound implications for human aggression, is the difference between offensive and defensive aggression (Feshbach, Zagrodzka 1997). Much research has already been done indicating that different brain sites mediate predation and defensive aggression. Aggression can take many different paths. The act of hitting a wall to release aggression has some of the same roots as playing football and enjoying hitting the quarterback. A child yelling at their parents could be equated in its aggressiveness with someone honking their horn when they get cut off driving. Psychologist Arlene Stillwell performed an experiment where she assigned ordinary college students at random to play the role of a victim or a perpetrator in a small incident. However, as oil prices declined in the mid 1980s, alternative energy sources declined, thus, funding for geothermal energy research greatly reduced. It was proven that the elastic based cord (green) would be most suitable for bungee jumping. This is because the force exerted is more spaced out, and allows for a softer drop to equilibrium, rather than a violent, potentially deadly faster stop. The gradual restoring force is essential to bungee jumping. To come to a safe stop, restoring force is needed. Without said force, the force of the person jumping would be applied directly to the rope / elastic, causing it to potentially break and the person to fall. The rebound phase, consisting of dampened oscillatory motion, safely decreases the velocity of the jumper. The Galilean paradigm of the motion of constant masses, states every acceleration must be produced by a force. Bungee jumping is proof of this physics concept. • 50. Curriculum Of The Other Woman As Luce Irigaray identifies, in her book Speculum of the Other Woman, Antigone is caught in a puzzling paradox of both intentionally committing her crime with full knowledge of her act, while at the same time remaining completely ignorant and unconscious of the law. She says, what an amazing vicious circle in a single syllogistic system. Whereby the unconscious while remaining unconscious, is yet supposed to know the laws of a consciousnesswhich is permitted to remain ignorant of it and will become even more repressed as a result of failing to respect those laws (223). For Hegel, women do not have the ability to conceptualize ethical duty due to their inescapable nature. How is it that Antigone is guilty by virtue of her intentional crime, while remaining ignorant by virtue of her unconsciousness of the law? Kelly Oliver, in her article Antigone s Ghost, suggests that one can speculate if it is at this stage of the dialectic where women become conscious, however, she rightly indicates that this is an impossible scenario because unlike men, women are unable to break free from nature (Oliver, 79). The feminine is bound to the family and remains unconscious to her acts as ethical. Because women are restrained by nature to the divine law, the only type of knowledge women can have of committing a crime and the guilt associated with a crime is intuitive knowledge. At this point of the phenomenology (and arguably at no point in the phenomenology), women do not have a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Professionalism and success is what humans need to survive in modern society. As you read, you will need a basic understanding of ethics and what do they propose towards professionalism. My ethics allowed me to be a great example of student success because every day is one step closer to my educational goals. In order to reach my educational goals, I must follow three simple expectations; arrive on time to class and work to be prepared for assignments and tasks provided by the professor or supervisor. When I follow my ethics, it allows me to behave professionally and accomplish my responsibilities as they come and go. For professional behavior, my definition for student success has now expanded beyond the achievement of goals into a larger realization that success is interdependent and systemic. It doesn t begin and end with the individual or even two individuals. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
