Abstract The traditional energy networks to smart grids transformation can help in improving the
reliability, performance and manageability. An efficient and real time scheme to detect FDI(False
Data Injection) attacks in smart grids, by exploiting spatial temporal correlations between grid
components. False data injection attacks have recently been introduced as an important class of
cyber attacks against smart grids wide area measurement and monitoring systems. Once the attack
is been detected, the system can take preventive action and alert the manager to take preventative
action to sense the risk and to limit the risk. Defensive strategies is been presented against such
attacks.

I. INTRODUCTION
Cyber physical systems which are embedded in the environment are used to monitor, understand
the behaviors and control, the physical world. The emerging CPS application, the proliferation of
smart grids has been observed in our daily life. The adversary can inject false measurement reports
to disrupt the smart grid operation through the compromised meters and sensors. Those attacks are
denoted as false data

Amelia Earhart Case Study
Amelia Earhart wanted to be the first woman to fly around the world, but didn t make it.
Bewildered, Amelia s disappearance is still an unsolved mystery today. Amelia s early life was
filled with exciting activities and her plane career was mostly successful. Some people are still
coming up with theories about Amelia Earharts disappearance today.
First of all, there are lots of facts about Amelia s early life. One interesting fact about Amelia s
early life is her childhood. Amelia was born in Atchison, Kansas on July 24, 1897. Her family
members are Muriel her sister, her parents were Edwin and Amy Otis Earhart, and her
grandparents were Alfred and Amelia Harres Otis. Her full name is Amelia Mary Earhart. She was
a tomboy and also loved to play basketball.
Amelia s early life contained many interests and hobbies that made her the way she was. Some
interests she liked was throwing mud balls and jumping over fences. She also had many other
hobbies like playing baseball and football , horse riding, and tennis. She also liked reading and
playing the banjo. Amelia liked to fly and she wanted to be the first woman to fly around the
world. Later, Amelia was a volunteer nurse during wars.
In Amelia s early life things sparked her interest so she started to fly. One thing that sparked her
interest to fly was her first plane ride at an airshow. Then, she was a passenger to fly across the

Comparing Poems The Ball And We Real Cool
Various speakers reflecting on the same topic provide a change in perspective, and give different
levels of insight to the audience. This can be represented when comparing the poems The Ball
and We Real Cool . The Ball, told in a perspective of a matured man contemplating his journey,
brings a more reflective approach to coming of age than the speaker in We Real Cool , who
speak about the subject in the present tense. Additionally, the speaker in The Ball is singular
while the speaker in We Real Cool is clearly a group. This difference conveys a separation between
a specific experience and a collective opinion. These varying speakers present two different
avenues for analyzing the experience of coming of age. The Ball is a poem

Aladdin Interpretation
I chose the 1992 Disney interpretation of Aladdin . This story revolves around a young man
named Aladdin and his quest to find his place in life. He lives in the fictional kingdom of
Agrabah. It is ruled by a Sultan who has a daughter named Jasmine, who is unwilling to marry
any royal suitor that comes to court her. The Sultan is advised by his royal Vizier, Jafar. Now
Jafar has ambitions of becoming the ruler. The way he sees he can achieve it is by obtaining a
sacred lamp containing an all powerful genie.
So in this tale Jafar is trying to seek power of the lamp. He uses a thief to obtain a golden scarab
that acts as a compass to guide them to where the lamp is being stored. The said lamp is inside
the cave of wonders. Before the thief can enter the cave he is stopped by a big gust of wind.
Then the cave itself speaks to the both of them and says: Only one may enter here . It goes on to
say seek me out the diamond in the rough .
So as Jafar figures out who this diamond in the rough is, Aladdin is once again being chased by
guards of Agrabah. Aladdin with no parents grew up poor without any guidance. So he had to find
a way to survive. With that being said, he manages to escape with the help of his monkey friend
Abu. Before they can settle down and enjoy their freshly stolen bread, they see little kids foraging
through the trash looking for a meal. With that Aladdin and Abu give their bread to them, so that
they can eat.
As for Princess Jasmine, she is required by

Netflix and Disruptive Innovation
Background
Who is the king of the movie rental industry? Is it Blockbuster, Redbox or Netflix? Blockbuster
was the king of VHS rental with their brick and mortar stores for more than 20 years. Netflix was
the first to market with the idea of shipping DVDs directly to consumer s homes but are now
focusing their resources and attention to online streaming. Netflix is slowly getting out of the DVD
and Blu ray rental game by raising the prices of their DVDs and Blu rays. Netflix is spending
more money to increase the size of their online library for streaming. The two companies that are
battling it out to be the king of the rental industry are Redbox, a company owned by Coinstar Inc.,
and Blockbuster. This paper will focus on how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other companies have used Disruptive Innovation to come in at the bottom of a market and focus
on a lower cost and change the way consumers purchase goods and services, changing the market
forever. One of the best examples of this type of Disruptive Innovation was Toyota. Toyota came
into the American market and offered inexpensive cars that offered very view features and small 4
cylinder engines. At first many consumers turned their nose up to the Toyota products. But some
consumers bought the Toyota because they were a cheaper option for automobile transportation.
When more customers started to purchase Toyotas and the company was able to establish a solid
footing in the American Business market and they started to change the model of their business.
Toyota started to offer higher end cars and eventually moved into the luxury automobile industry
with the Lexus line of cars. Disruptive innovation is a continual process and happens in business all
the time. You can also see it in the car market right now with Hyundai and Kia.
Redbox entered the market place at the bottom by offering DVDs that were not brand new
releases for $1 a day. The consumer can keep the movie longer if they want to by paying an
additional $1 per day. Redbox would offer unmatched distribution by

Consumer Credit And Spending
Consumer credit and spending has a great influence on the health of the economy. It seems like
there having uncontrolled access to consumer credits can have a major effect on the housing,
businesses and firms, and other lending agencies that issues lines of credit. According to the text,
The availability of consumer credit was a major factor in the slowing of the U.S. economy in 2007
and 2008; the credit crisis began when the housing market collapsed and homeowners began to
default on mortgagein record numbers (Farnham, 2014, p.330). This had a major effect on
businesses and firms that dealt with consumer loans and other credit policies to consumers, and it
required some of these polices to be tightened to prevent any more damage to the

Comparing The Representation Of Women s The Yellow...
Compare the representation of women in Gilman s The yellow wallpaper and Austen s pride and
prejudice . To what extent do you agree with the view that Gilman presents conventional patriarchal
expectations of women, more critically than Austen.
Both Austen and Gilman breakthrough the conformity of femininity at a time of rising feminism in a
bid to encourage the female viewpoint which was put down or rather shunned to be less valuable
by the society they lived in. Gilman however presents it in a more peculiar and violent way in
making her character fall into sanity to bring across women s right of voice. One could argue
Austen, although subtly hinting at the affects or mocking patriarchy, does not seem to have as much
of an impact or focus on exploring the harsh conventional expectations women faced and the effect
it had on restraining their creative conscience.
Both authors focus on the unequal status of women within marriage. Gilman explores, Women s
obligation to remain in the domestic sphere. She argues that it steals them of the expression of
their full powers of creativity and intelligence. Her character jane, mocks the rational masculine
explanation in not believing in faith but rather figures in comparison Elizabeth s reading in pride
and prejudice allows her to explore her self identity. Both Austen and Gilman ironically mock the
social convention of men s rationality being above women s creativity. However, one could argue
that in all of Austen s

Descriptive Essay On Sharisabz
Shahrisabz stands for the The City of Green . It was once a major city located in southern
Uzbekistan, and is primarily known as the birthplace of the prominent conqueror, Amir Timur.
However, it is known to me as the birthplace of my mother s father, and his fathers before him. At
the age of 15, my grandfather was forced to leave when the threat of a communist takeover by
Soviet Russia was imminent. From there he migrated to Afghanistan and later to America. Sadly,
not all of his familyis was able to get out; some of his cousins and uncles stayed behind and had to
endure over 67 years of Soviet oppression. They were no longer allowed to pray and observe
Islam since it was banned by the Soviets. Decades later, when my grandfather and I visited his
city of birth and his family, it really opened my eyes to how much living conditions change
personality, lifestyle and even appearance. On the drive down to Shahrisabz, there were fields of
wheat, barley and cotton as far as the eye could see. That was all there was to look at for an hour
or so. Once we finally entered the city, things became more lively. We could see that people were
out walking, talking and playing, but since my grandpa s cousinlived on the outskirts of the city, we
had to endure a few more minutes of only fields before we came to a small village.
The first thing I noticed when I stepped out of my dad s car was how my distant family was
eagerly waiting to meet us. They welcomed us into their homes and

Statement For The Physics Student

The Physics Student, admitted to Rutgers, Boston University, PennState
Being born in a family of physicists I was fond of science from my childhood. Even when I was
a little girl, my favorite toys have all been mechanical. Their inside was always a tempting
mystery for me. Later on, the questions I asked myself have progressed to more sophisticated
ones, usually dealing with nature phenomena around me like why the sky is blue, how clouds or
rainbow form, what the lightning is and so on. Fortunately, my parents were able to help me with
providing the answers to some of those questions, or in some cases providing me with references
on how to manage myself. Since we had a pretty extensive library at home, soon I was reading

students as well as my students have got from me. I believe this experience will significantly help
me both in my teaching assistant assignments and in my future academic career.
Now my interests in science lie in the area of molecular, optical and chemical physics. After
completing my PhD program I would like to work as a researcher and as a teacher in this field. I
also believe that my serious intention for study and research, my past laboratory experience and
academic background in various areas of Physics and Mathematics will be beneficial for my
graduate studies. I have chosen Massachusetts Institute of Technology for continuing my education
because as I know it provides excellent opportunities for studying physics and mathematics as well
as for the research in the area of my interests.

Similarities Between Buddhism And Buddhism
Buddhism, like other world religions, is not one homogeneous grouping of like minded devotees
adhering to one school of thought. Just as Christianity has its Catholics and Protestants, and Islam
its Sunnis and Shiites, Buddhism is also comprised of various schools and sects. Some scholars
separate Buddhist schools into geographical groupings, such as Southern, Eastern and Northern
traditions, whereas some prefer to focus on a more tradition specific delineation, such as Theravada,
Mahayana, and Vajrayana Buddhism(Cousins 1998, p. 370; Buddhism 2015 ). All traditions accept
the fundamental Buddhist doctines of Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, anatta
(absence of soul) and karma (causation), but differ on other significant aspects. This essay will
compare and contrast two Buddhist traditions, the Therevada Buddhism of Sri Lanka, and
Mahayana Buddhism of China. Theravada Buddhism can also be characterised as representative of
the Southern tradition of Buddhism, whereas Mahayana is of the Eastern tradition. This essay will
also address how these particular types of Buddhism developed in their respective countries.
Prior to the arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka in 247 BCE, the cultural environment was
characterised by a mix of indigenous (veddha) and Aryan beliefs, influenced by elements of
mainland Indian culture (Perera 2013). It was the Indian Emperor Asoka who sent his son,
Mahinda, to introduce Buddhism to the Sri Lankan king (Robinson, Johnson Bhikku 2005, p.

Essay on Gender Roles in Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe
Upon an initial reading of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart, it is easy to blame the demise of
Okonkwo s life and of the Umofia community on the imperialistic invasions of the white men.
After all, Okonkwo seemed to be enjoying relative peace and happiness before then. He did have
a few mishaps; one of them resulted in him being exiled for eight years. Nonetheless, he returned
to his home town with high spirits and with prospects of increased success. However, everything
has changed. The white men have brought with them a new religion and a new government.

any resistance to the white men. Consequently, Okonkwo kills... Show more content on

Even the crops were gendered (Okhamafe 127). Coco yams, beans, and cassava were women s
crops (Achebe 23). Yam, the king of crops , was a man s crop (Achebe 23). In Umofia, all that is
desirable and admired is associated with manliness. Anything that is demeaning or scornful is
considered to be womanly. Okonkwo life is dominated by fear, the fear of failure and of
weakness (Achebe 13). When Okonkwo was a boy, his playmates teased him calling, saying that
his father was agbala. Okonkwo s father, Unoka, was lazy. He did not work on his farm; he died
in great debt. He did not acquire a single title. He did not have a barn to pass down to his son.
Unoka is a type of man who is scorned in Umofia. He is seen as weak and effeminate. As
Okonkwo grows older, he is determined not become a failure like his father. His father was
weak; he will be strong. His father was lazy; he will be hard working. Okonkwo earned his fame
by defeating the reigning wrestling champion. Okonkwo diligently plants yam, building a
successful farm. He builds himself an obi, has three wives and many children. His fame rested on
solid personal achievements (Achebe 3). Okonkwo will not let one womanly trait sully his
reputation. Therefore, he hate[d] everything that his father Unoka had loved (Achebe 13). One of
these was gentleness. Okonkwo refuses to show any signs of emotion, except his temper. He

Review Of Old Mother Savage
Assignment One The Question states: Write an essay about SKILL in the story Old Mother
Savage. By skill I mean both the skill and the intelligence that the woman shows in doing what
she does, and planning it, and also the skill and intelligence of the writer, de Maupassant. That is
to say, how well, and effectively, the writing works, and how it reaches the heart (if it does) and
is real. Write as well and as intelligently as you can, and please quote from the story in order to
support the points that you make. The definition of Skill: The ability to do something well;
expertise. A particular ability. The word skill encompasses a wide variety of meaning in its
definition compared to how few words it contains. In the following, I will describe some of the
interesting examples of skill and lack of skill that I found throughout the story, Old Mother
Savage. I found these examples of skill in the narrator of the story; in the flashback storyteller,
Serval; in the main character, Old Mother Savage; as well as in the writer himself, Guy de
Maupassant. The Story Narrator s Skill. At the very of the beginning of the story, the reader is
greeted with a long description of his surroundings and overall feelings about nature. This was
coupled with the recollection that the narrator had when walking, where he remembered having

from why it is going to save the company money over recalling the vehicles in question. The
reader will be presented with the ethics that are behind my decision to prevent the recall from

The Competition
For many years the automotive industry was seen as a corner stone of the American economy
with The Big Three (Us, General Motors and, Chrysler) running the show, but starting in the 1960
s it was starting to face more and more competition from around the world. This was action by the
foreign auto makers is starting to take a chunk out of Fords profits. This was making it so coroners
needed to be cut in order to jump in front of the competition. The Profit needed to be protected
ground cannot be lost in any aspect of the automotive industry.
Pinto Production
Under current Ford leadership the production cycle was cut down from 43 months to 25 months.
This would be the gap closer needed in order to keep up profits. This led to some design oversights
in placement of components like the gas tank. In the 1971 Ford Pinto the gas tank was located
directly behind the bumper of the car . By the time Ford had discovered the flaw in the gas tank
placement the equipment was already created and now they were stuck with what was originally
set up. The Pinto was designed around the 2000 pounds and under $2000

A similar and also popular game is softball. It was an Olympic sport from 1996 to 2008. Like

Fishing for Trouble Essay
In 1999 near the Galapagos Islands, Rob Stewart, 22, an underwater photographer and filmmaker,
was driving when he discovered something that changed his life forever. It was a long line fishing
rig hung with hundreds of dead sharks on a single fishing line that Stewart explained had the
potential to reach from Earth to space. This fishingline is known by conservationists as a curtain of
death (Kielburger). Overfishing is the fishing of a species at levels too high for the species to
reproduce. This can greatly reduce fishpopulation and drive species toward extinction. Fishing has
provided the world with food and jobs that have remodeled Earth s cultures and lifestyles. Fishing
is practiced by local fishermen, commercial fishing rigs,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When fish populations are low in one area, fishing boats will need to move to another area
where fish are more abundant. This renders oceans and their sea life helpless and severely
damaged until all of the fish in the oceans are completely gone. That is why governments need
laws establishing the length of time a person could spend at sea fishing, in order to reduce
overfishing and increase recovery of fish populations. One example of a fish population suffering
from overfishing is the Pacific bluefin tuna. Overfishing has left the world with less than five
percent of its Pacific Bluefin tuna, says the Pew Environment Group (Kowalski). This statement
explains to the world how overfishing can drastically decrease a species population in an
extraordinarily short time period. The Pacific bluefin tuna and other fish are very much stressed
by overfishing, and suffer severe losses of population every day. Moreover, overfishing will soon
lead to the extinction of fish species like the Pacific bluefin tuna. The European Commission even
admits that the EU s [European Union] stocks are 88% overfished ( An Icelandic Success ). This
reveals Europe s failure to prevent overfishing from spreading throughout the continent and beyond
its borders. The majority of Europe s fish supply undergoes the harmful effects that overfishing
brings. Additionally, the fish

Coat Of Arms In Nursing
A coat of arms is used as a representative emblem. It could be placed on a shield or a flag and it
usually would look something like a crest. Typically, a coat of arms would be used to represent a
family, person, or country. For example, the Canadian coat of arms is used to represent Canada
and the qualities that the country values most. But it could also be used to represent a company,
school or profession. For example, most universities and colleges have a coat of armsto represent
the school and its values. This paper will discuss a coat of arms for the nursing profession and why
the qualities being represented are important. Although there are many important qualities that are

Advocacy in nursing is the promotion and vocalization of the patient s voice; this is being
represented on the coat of arms with a megaphone. We had picked a megaphone because just as a
megaphone amplifies the speakers voice, the nurse amplifies the patient s voice when dealing with
other in the healthcare team (i.e. other nurses, and physicians). The 2nd quality was
communication. Communication in nursing is done with the patient, their family, or the healthcare
team and can come in a verbal or written forms. This is being represented on the coat of arms as
an emoji writing. The 3rd quality that was chosen was caring. Caring in nursing is important it
requires you to look after people who cannot look after themselves; it is represented on the coat of
arms as two hands. The 4th quality is trustworthiness. Trustworthiness in nursing is important
because it helps ensure the patient that what is being said will remain confidential and that their
privacy will be respected; t also helps build the nurse client relationship. It is represented on the coat
of arms by a lock and key. The 5th quality that was chosen was assertiveness. Being assertive in

Oppression And Lynching Themes
Through all of our readings this past weeks, some of the recurring themes were oppression and
lynching. Both themes went hand in hand as lynching, as mentioned by Bosworth and Flavin, had
been a response to the perceived erosion of white male domination (Bosworth and Flavin, pg. 77).
As well, they mentioned that such act first surfaced through slavery although, as we were able to
read in The Lynching of Personas of Mexican Origin or Descent in the United States, 1848 To 1928,
lynching of minorities overall became a highly practiced act by the White race. Inequality, will be

Even though, slavery happened hundreds of years ago, we can observe how our policies
continue to represent the laws established to keep slaves under their owner s supervision. For
example, trespassing laws forbid an individual from accessing an area just as slaves were

well, through SODA, many African Americans are being imprisoned and forced to work for free
while completing their sentences just as slaves were held captive until they paid their debt to
their owners and were made to work picking up cotton, vegetables or grains in the fields. The
United States in itself continues to oppress individuals who they believe need to assimilate to the

Problem 1 12
With 20 percent of the inventory missing, along with large portions of the written and computer
records, Mary Soto should hire an external forensic account. Mary should not jump to conclusions
and call the police just yet, but may need to do so according to the findings of the forensic
accountant. Even if thefts have occurred calling the police and alerting the employees of her
suspicion will not always be in the best interest of Mary or the company. In our textbook Forensic
Accounting and Fraud Examination George Young asserts:
It is especially important in the initial notification and evaluation stage to keep the matter as quiet
and secret as is legally possible. In many cases, especially in small businesses, the owner manager s
initial reaction is associated with anger and an overwhelming desire to confront the suspected
employee. This temptation must be strongly resisted. Confronting the suspect too soon is one of
the most damaging things that can be done in an investigation. It is much better first to secretly
gather all the facts and understand the mechanics of the suspect s fraud scheme.
If Mary is not careful she could create some legal missteps which could further damage her and the
company. For example, Mary could be sued for defamation if it is found out that the missing
records and estimated losses are due to an accounting anomaly. However, with an estimated 20
percent of the inventory missing, combined with the large amount of data missing

The Rise Of Chin China
THE RISE OF CHINA IN INTERNATIONAL RELATION THEORIES INTRODUCTION It is
not until today that we see China as a rising power, so powerful that could shake the core of
global system. Recent resilient economic growth and other development indexes have been widely
quoted in thousands of political writings as the prominent evidence alarming about upcoming
systemic changes . In fact, while Europe was still in the shadow of Dark Ages, China was
inventing compass, gunpowder, paper and printing technology. While Penicillin was discovered in
1897 by Ernest Duchesne and later Alexander Fleming, China has been using soybean mold as
antibiotic measure for already two thousand years. This is explicitly to say that the preeminence
Chinese power is not a modern issue emerged from Mao to Xi period, from Long March iconic
leaders to modern ambitious technocrats. During colonization period, the West has been constantly
disregarding the strength of China and this only changed dramatically after 1976 when Mao death
triggered a new period filling with economic successes. With very recent understanding of China as
an important actor capable of upsetting the status quo of global system, realists are assuming
potential war between China and the US, even an all out nuclear escalation is possible and
containing China is the only strategy. The miraculous growth of Chinese economy, technological
and industrial wealth, according to them, pose a great threat to traditional order.

Family In Sophocles Antigone

English 1 Honors; P.7
16 October 2017
Family Comes First
Imagine being put in a situation where honor towards your own blood opposes the law. In the city
state of Thebes, King Creon issues a law that bans the burial of Polyneices. The dead man s sister, a
young woman named Antigone, buries her brother against King Creon s blessings. Antigone s
courageous actions lead her to her own fatal death. Sophocles emphasizes the importance of
choosing family over authority in his play Antigone .
Regardless of the punishment, Antigone contradicts the laws in order to pay her brother respect.
King Creon clearly informs everyone on the consequences of tampering with the corpse of
Polynices, Antigone s brother. Antigone argues... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
King Creon initially forbids any sort of honor towards the body of Polyneices. Because of his
rational decision, a series of deaths occur. Creon yells to the Chorus, Mistakes from thoughtless
thoughts, stubborn and deadly! (59). Unfortunately, his loved ones had to die in order for him to
realize that his choice was a mistake. He should have realized that there is a difference between a
ruthless leader and a caring leader; mistakenly, he chooses to be a ruthless leader by neglecting the
importance of family.
Sophocles tries to push upon the reader that the law should come second to family. Antigone
involves herself in a whole lot of trouble with the law in order to pursue her desire to
commemorate her brother s tragic death. Not only does Antigone prioritize family but her sister,
Ismene, does too. Ismene willingly sacrifices her life in order to support her sister in her downfall.
King Creon feels remorseful about being uncompromising; he prioritizes the law which ultimately
leads to his own family perishing. Defend boundaries of loved ones without hesitation, otherwise,
the world would fill with

Define condition
Respiratory Acidosis is a condition that occurs when the lungs cannot remove all the carbon
dioxide the body produces. This causes body fluids, mainly the blood to become too acidic.
Respiratory Alkalosis is an acid imbalance due to a condition called hyperventilation which is
where you take in too much oxygen and it decreases the carbon dioxide being produced in your
body.
Metabolic Acidosis is a condition that occurs when the body produces excessive quantities of acid
or when the kidneys are not removing enough acid from the body.
Metabolic alkalosis is a metabolic condition in which the pH of tissue is elevated beyond the normal

Coral Divers Case Study Essay
After investigating Coral Divers diligently, I am delighted to be hired as a consultant to evaluate
Coral Divers strategic situation. Based on my findings, I believe Coral Divers is in a decreasing
state of financials and diminishing competitive position. Their net income is negative and
increasing in 2005 through 2007. In addition, there is a lack of differentiators at Coral Divers,
hindering them from their competition. The issue at hand is whether Coral Divers should take on
a potential growth strategy, which consists of adding a family vacation portion to their resort, and
an adventure diving aspect. This would enable them to cater to a greater variety of people and

Coral Divers revenues are also declining since 2005, I believe due to increasingly competitive
markets and no strong differentiators. After analyzing the company, it is clear that Coral Divers

costs involved with new opportunities compared to potential revenues. The alternatives for
Coral Divers includes: Alternative| Cost| Revenue Potential| Family Vacations / Rascals in Paradise|

Abstract
Software testing is a technical task, but it also involves some important considerations of
economics and human psychology. In technical aspects it is the process of analyzing a software
item to detect the differences between existing and required conditions (that is defects/errors/bugs)
and to evaluate the features of the software item . A software error occurs when the program does
not do, what its end user reasonably expects it to do.
Software testing is more difficult because of the vast array of programming languages, operating

Introduction
Software engineering provides the framework for building the high quality software. It integrates
the various strategies, methods and tools for the software development. The revolution of software
engineering offers the different types of software development models. It majorly ratifies the
performance of the software through the testing and maintenance phase of the software.
The testing move toward the static testing (human testing) and dynamic testing (Computer aided
testing).
There are some basic strategies that qualify the software to make sure it s good performance. These
strategies listed below
Structure testing
пѓЁWhite box testing( developer testing)
пѓЁfocuses on the inner structure of the test object
Function testing
пѓЁBlack box testing ( user testing)
пѓЁBehavior given by the specification The validation improves the performance of testing by
increasing the confidence in the quality issues of the software.
System Testing
System testing is not a process of testing the functions of the complete system or program, because
this would be redundant with the process of function testing. This testing has a particular purpose as

Gender Equality And Empowerment Of Women
The United Nations Millennium Declaration states that the main focus should be on gender
equality and empowerment of women in order to fight poverty, hunger and with that, help
development that is sustainable. (O Brien Williams 2013,212) Taking gender into the account while
observing global economy shows that men and women are impacted in various ways considering
trade, production and financial flows. (O Brien Williams 2013,212) The term feminization of
poverty originates from about 1970s debates in United States, which was focused on welfare and
single mothers. (BRIDGE) This concept came into the spotlight in the 1990s and the term
continued to be questioned and researched. Criticisms emphasized the difference in female headed
households, and how there are other dimensions of women s vulnerability that influenced the
situation of poor women too, unlike for men. ( Carolina J. Wennerholm 2002,9) The concept of the
feminization of poverty has meant three distinct things: that women compared to men have a higher
incidence of poverty; that women s poverty is more severe than men s; and that the incidence of
poverty among women is increasing compared to that of men. in the recent year and the
development debates are continued on how to approach this matter. ( Carolina J. Wennerholm

There were 21,856 children born (1.53 children per woman), and 18,750 persons deceased in

Food Industry And Its Effects On The Health And Prosperity...
Engineered Food
Technology and industrialization of the food industry have changed how food is grown, and altered
its nutritional value. Multinational organizations are making decisions that affect the health and
prosperity of people worldwide. These organizations have found ingenuous ways of packaging and
marketing unsafe products to the public. Education and awareness of the problems are the only
hope for improving the food industry and the quality of food.
Industrialization of food began with the advent of fast food chains. The McDonald brothers were
the first to introduce assembly line food processing. By assigning each employee one task to
perform they were more efficient, and they paid those employees less than employers who expected
an employee to perform start to finish tasks. The food industry implemented the assembly line
approach, quickly changing how food is processed, and decreasing the pay rate for workers. Meat
processing once regarded as a profession performed by skilled butchers, now it is a highly
dangerous job filled by minority or illegal immigrants willing to take health and deportation risks
for a very low wage. Efficiency and cost drives all bad behavior across the food industry. (Kenner,
2008)

Helicobacter pylori and Gastric cancer
Helicobacter pylori is a small, microaerophilic gram negative rods that regularly colonize the

found in the stomach of almost half of the world s population (Zhao et al., 2014) and such well

by the combination of different factors, which addresses different challenges presented by harsh

Due to the well adaptation of Helicobacter pylori in human stomach and its pathogenicity, it is
primarily known as causative agent of variety of gastric disease such as gastritis, gastro duodenal
ulcer and gastric cancer (Backert et al., 2004). The association between H.pylori and gastric cancer
has attracted the attention of all people around the world because in 1994 an International Agency
for Research on Cancer (IARC) which is also a subordinate organization of WHO identified
H.pylori as group 1 (definite carcinogen). According to (Asaka et al., 2001) the relationship between
H.pylori with stomach cancer can be explained by two possible mechanism. The first mechanism is

Mr Nobody Essay
General Purpose: Don t burden yourself with the weight of choices. Specific Purpose: By the
end of the speech the audience will: understand that I change my mind from being a logical
decision making machine to more open to mystery and randomness. Central Idea: The movie
Mr. Nobody changed my perspective on how decisions are important yet sometimes are left
better off to chance. Main Idea 1: I used to feel that decisions are better made logically and the
best most efficient way to reap the benefits is to weight your options and choose no matter how
hard it may be being predictable. Supporting idea 1a: Whenever I buy a drink, it s always a
Chocolate Chip Frappe. Because I know how it tastes, I know what I don t like about it. So, was...

No matter the situation, the choice must be right. But in Mr. Nobody, Nemo explains that not
all our choices have to be right. That s because we don t know what s right until they happen.
Main Idea 2: The movie Mr. Nobody showed me that knowing your actions or results doesn t
make it easier to live with ourselves. So sometimes when you take the blame off yourself and
put it on mystery, it makes life easier to live. Supporting idea 2a: Nemo had the choice to choose
to leave his mother or leave his father, and after seeing all his outcomes; he chooses none.
Because the burden of choosing one family member over the only raises complexity and conflict
in his mind. Also, running away was the only time his decisions couldn t be judged because he
didn t know what would happen. Supporting Idea 2b: The movie made me realize that the burden
my choices bear keeps me from choosing the choice that s good for me, so applying some
unpredictability to them helps. It may not be the right choice, but I wouldn t know which choice
was the best until I made one. Transition: a quote from the movie says, You have to make the right
choice. As long as you don t choose, everything remains

his roles as villains and mystery men . George Washington was his distant cousin. Before joining
University of Texas at Austin his aim was to be the doctor like his father. After joining the
University of Texas, he wanted to purse his career in acting. He was dropped out of college and

His face was most recognizable during the Hollywood s golden age. He has contributed much more
to uplift the American filmography. Sharecropper in Jean Renoir s finest American work, was the
most memorable turn in his career.
The change he bought in American filmography is still remarkable. He went on to play with an
occasional sympathetic variation through the 1950 s and early 60s. He was a versatile actor as well
as he bought the versatility in the American filmography. In his remembrance and for his
contribution towards American filmography, today, a thriving community theater named for
Zachary Scott at Austin is producing the emerging dramatic talent for the industry. Released on
1962, It s only Money was his final film. Rainy Night in Newark was his last stage appearance
(1963). In 1964 he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and underwent brain surgery in
1965. He died at the age of 51.
I choose him because as we are talking about the individualistic and traditional political cultures of
Texas. As Texas is the diverse State it has the most unique history, In my opinion Mr. Scott is a
versatile actor who has diversified the American filmography. He represented the Texas culture all
over the United State through his work. So, I choose his as my

Why Did World War 1 Break Out In 1914
Why did World War One break out in 1914? The First World War was the most dreadful war ever
known due to the number of deaths that took place on the battlefields of the war. The First
World War was one of the most complex wars in 20th century. It began on July 28, 1914, when
Austria Hungary declared war on Serbia. Russia, Germany, France and Great Britain were all
drawn into the war mainly because they were involved in treaties that obligated them to defend
certain other nations. In total, eight million soldiers lost their lives fighting in this dreadful war.
The war lasted for four whole years and broke out in 1914 due to many reasons. It is impossible to
say that the war started due to one single cause, which led the nations of Europe and... Show more

In the year 1870 71 there was an earlier conflict that weakened the balance of power in Europe
before the start of the 20th Century. This conflict is called the Franco Prussian War which
created a unified Germany. Once the Napoleonic wars, ended in the year 1815, there were 39
separate Germanic states in Europe and the two largest were Prussia and Austria. The Prussian
state was under the leadership of their Chancellor Otto von Bismarck. The last war from the
three victorious wars was called the Franco Prussian war, in the year 1870 to 1871. The well
equipped Prussian Army not only defeated the French but they also humiliated them. France also
lost the territory of Alsace Lorraine, and was obliged to pay a war indemnity of 5 billion gold
francs in a period of 5 years. Due to the Prussian victory over Denmark and Austria In 1864 and
France in 1871, meaning the German unification was complete. In France problems followed the
humiliation of defeat. This started to build up tension between France and Germany as the French

St. Jude For Life Study
I can not imagine a world without my mother. But without St. Jude I would be on this planet to
imagine anything at all.
This past summer, I, along with my mother and father, travelled to St. Jude Children s Research
Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. My mom had been invited to participate in the St. Jude For Life
Study because when she was around six to eight years old, she had a form of leukemia called
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This particular study is to help all present and future St. Jude
patients and help to research for a cure. While there, I saw first hand how cancer can affect a family.
You can just see all of the stress, the worry, the exhaustion, the tiredness, the fear, and the tears on
the families and the patients faces.

Accounting Standards Board
To address the increasing challenges of legislating those governs our society today, countries all
over the world have begun to outsource rulemaking to bodies consisting of people familiar with the
subject. For that reason, policymakers rely on private entities to establish financial accounting and
reporting standards (Donald Kieso, 2003, Intermediate Accounting). The two most influential
standard setters are the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the International
Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
FASB IASB are currently working jointly to establish a single set of universal accounting ... Show

After their joint meeting in September 2002, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) issued the Norwalk Agreement,
acknowledging their commitment to development compatible accounting standards that could be
used for both domestic and cross border financial reporting.
At that meeting, the FASB and the IASB agreed to make their existing financial reporting standards
compatible and to ensure that once achieved, compatibility is maintained.
The FASB IASB convergence efforts involve two projects: the short term project that is intended to
remove individual differences between International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Examples of short term convergence efforts include
accounting for non monetary exchanges and income taxes. The second type of convergence project
refers to long term projects like revenue recognition.
In April and October 2005, the FASB and the IASB reaffirmed their commitment to the
convergence of US generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and International
Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and agreed upon the need for the removal of the
reconciliation requirement for non US companies that use IFRSs and are registered in the United
States.
In February 2006 the two boards issued a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) based on three

Childhood Social Development Is Important Aspect
Childhood social development is important aspect that impacts a child life early on, it helps
them grow and communicate better in life. Socializing is always a good thing to do having your
child interact with other kids helps them have a better self esteem and helps them figure out
who exactly they are. Exposing your child to socialization can be as easy as taking your child to
the park, scheduling a play date, having them join a team sport or enrolling them in a head start
school. In the early stages of child hood, ages three to eight, head start schools benefit children
before they can even start a regular schooling program starting socialization so early in a child s
life helps them develop certain things faster then most children. For example a child will learn
how to interact with other children who he or she is not used to interacting with, this helps build
relationships with people other then family members. When children play together it helps the
child develop certain social skills such as playing and taking turns with other children, as children
play it also helps them develop other physical skills such as running, kicking, climbing and
jumping. Play also helps build relationships between a child and his parents, caregiver, and teacher.
1 Playing with other children helps the child share and respect the opinion of other classmates,
interacting with other adults helps the child develop a respect for other adults that are not parents
or family members this also

Summary Of Beast Of Waste And Desolation
In The Beast of Waste and Desolation in Barry Holstun Lopez s book Of Wolves and Men, he
writes about the attitudes he encountered from people when discussing wolves. These attitudes
came from several different sources, ranging from several different Native American tribes and
field biologists to ranchers, trappers, and general residents of the areas where he conducted his
research. Lopez expressed his discomfort when he spoke with the latter group, as those people
that felt there was nothing wrong with killing wolves, and that the practice, overall, was a good
thing. Lopez writes that it seemed many of these people appeared to be filled with a general
hatred; of government, laws, and wolves. The killing of wolves held a vengeful element, with no
remorse or regret. He goes into detail of the single minded persecution of the wolf, even though
many of the conflicts with wolves were man made. One example provided was of man depleting
many of the wolves natural prey sources like elk and buffalo, and as a result the wolves turned to
preying on the domestic stock instead. Suddenly, man was justified in killing wolves as it became
necessary to protect livestock. The larger questions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lopez s writing is important to my paper because he documents the social and psychological history
of human interactions with wolves. Mr. Lopez has been a highly respected authority on human and
wolf interactions, and his first hand research for Of Wolves and Men was extensive. His recounting
of the vicious and cruel treatment that wolves were subjected to documents the almost
incomprehensible evil the human animal is capable of. This information helps present the mindset
that many people have carried forward to today, and illustrates the irrational fear and hatred humans
still exhibit when dealing with wolves. He gave a startling and alarming window into the human
mind, and clearly demonstrates the resistance the wolf reintroduction and recovery efforts had to go

Digital Artists And Animation And Visual Effects For...
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Multimedia artists and animators create
animation and visual effects for television, movies, video games, and other forms of media (BLS).
When looking at the different careers one could pursue, one should weigh the options before, or
near the beginning one s education, so one doesn t have to redo the entire thing. There are many
types of animators, some work in 2D, which is mostly drawing; other animators work in 3D, which
is using a computer. Animationis a good career choice if one has an understanding and love for art
and working with computers.
For applicants looking to pursue a career in animation, one should consider the specific skill sets
and education that is required. According to the United States Department of Labor, some of the
education that one needs is, a bachelor s degree in fine art, computer graphics, animation, or a
related field (How to become one). Furthermore, as stated by the United Kingdom s National
Careers Service, some of the skills needed in this career are, communication and presentation
skills, drawing and modelling skills, and IT skills (UK). According to Dr. Alan Cholodenko,
drawing is acknowledged as the basis of not only all art but of animation (Cholodenko). Some of
the animation careers are heavily based on drawing, however, they also use and need technology
skills as well. As reported by the BLS, Many multimedia artists and animators use computer
programs or write programming code

How The Repercussions Of Childhood Sexual Abuse
Your past affects your future, that is one idea that most people can agree upon. Survivors of
Childhood Sexual Abuse develop symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and are unable to
form positive working relationships. Often times the effects of CSA are not fully manifested until
later in life. According to Doctor Judith Worell s Encyclopedia of Women and Gender, nearly 50
percent of Childhood Sexual Abuse reported in 1997 involved victims seven years and younger
with the remaining half being split 22 percent between ages eight and eleven, and 25 percent
between age twelve and eighteen. Some may argue that at young ages children may forget what has
happened to them therefore it will not affect them in the future, although this may be possible,...

with Research conducted on the characteristics of female sexual abusers uses three specific case
examples of young girls, ages: ten, twelve, and sixteen. In two of three case examples, the girls
had reported being sexually abused at a young age. The third girl, age sixteen, did not explicitly
state she had been sexually abused, but has close ties with her father who is a known sex
offender,; therefore it is believed that she has been sexually abused during childhood. A review of
adolescent offenders of sexual abuse, under the age of 21, shows: Chi square analyses showed
significant associations between those who targeted children and being sexually abused or having
a family member subject to sexual abuse The study also reports that those that have experienced
sexual assault at a young age, and have been reported to sexually assault other children typically
have poor relationships with peers and family members in addition to experiencing two or more

  • 5. Aladdin Interpretation I chose the 1992 Disney interpretation of Aladdin . This story revolves around a young man named Aladdin and his quest to find his place in life. He lives in the fictional kingdom of Agrabah. It is ruled by a Sultan who has a daughter named Jasmine, who is unwilling to marry any royal suitor that comes to court her. The Sultan is advised by his royal Vizier, Jafar. Now Jafar has ambitions of becoming the ruler. The way he sees he can achieve it is by obtaining a sacred lamp containing an all powerful genie. So in this tale Jafar is trying to seek power of the lamp. He uses a thief to obtain a golden scarab that acts as a compass to guide them to where the lamp is being stored. The said lamp is inside the cave of wonders. Before the thief can enter the cave he is stopped by a big gust of wind. Then the cave itself speaks to the both of them and says: Only one may enter here . It goes on to say seek me out the diamond in the rough . So as Jafar figures out who this diamond in the rough is, Aladdin is once again being chased by guards of Agrabah. Aladdin with no parents grew up poor without any guidance. So he had to find a way to survive. With that being said, he manages to escape with the help of his monkey friend Abu. Blockbuster was the king of VHS rental with their brick and mortar stores for more than 20 years. Netflix was the first to market with the idea of shipping DVDs directly to consumer s homes but are now focusing their resources and attention to online streaming. Netflix is slowly getting out of the DVD and Blu ray rental game by raising the prices of their DVDs and Blu rays. Netflix is spending more money to increase the size of their online library for streaming. Other companies have used Disruptive Innovation to come in at the bottom of a market and focus on a lower cost and change the way consumers purchase goods and services, changing the market forever. One of the best examples of this type of Disruptive Innovation was Toyota. Toyota came into the American market and offered inexpensive cars that offered very view features and small 4 cylinder engines. At first many consumers turned their nose up to the Toyota products. But some consumers bought the Toyota because they were a cheaper option for automobile transportation. When more customers started to purchase Toyotas and the company was able to establish a solid footing in the American Business market and they started to change the model of their business. Toyota started to offer higher end cars and eventually moved into the luxury automobile industry with the Lexus line of cars. Disruptive innovation is a continual process and happens in business all the time. You can also see it in the car market right now with Hyundai and Kia. Redbox entered the market place at the bottom by offering DVDs that were not brand new releases for $1 a day. The consumer can keep the movie longer if they want to by paying an additional $1 per day. Redbox would offer unmatched distribution by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Comparing The Representation Of Women s The Yellow... Compare the representation of women in Gilman s The yellow wallpaper and Austen s pride and prejudice . To what extent do you agree with the view that Gilman presents conventional patriarchal expectations of women, more critically than Austen. Both Austen and Gilman breakthrough the conformity of femininity at a time of rising feminism in a bid to encourage the female viewpoint which was put down or rather shunned to be less valuable by the society they lived in. Gilman however presents it in a more peculiar and violent way in making her character fall into sanity to bring across women s right of voice. One could argue Austen, although subtly hinting at the affects or mocking patriarchy, does not seem to have as much of an impact or focus on exploring the harsh conventional expectations women faced and the effect it had on restraining their creative conscience. Both authors focus on the unequal status of women within marriage. Gilman explores, Women s obligation to remain in the domestic sphere. She argues that it steals them of the expression of their full powers of creativity and intelligence. Her character jane, mocks the rational masculine explanation in not believing in faith but rather figures in comparison Elizabeth s reading in pride and prejudice allows her to explore her self identity. Both Austen and Gilman ironically mock the social convention of men s rationality being above women s creativity. However, one could argue that in all of Austen s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was once a major city located in southern Uzbekistan, and is primarily known as the birthplace of the prominent conqueror, Amir Timur. However, it is known to me as the birthplace of my mother s father, and his fathers before him. At the age of 15, my grandfather was forced to leave when the threat of a communist takeover by Soviet Russia was imminent. From there he migrated to Afghanistan and later to America. Sadly, not all of his familyis was able to get out; some of his cousins and uncles stayed behind and had to endure over 67 years of Soviet oppression. They were no longer allowed to pray and observe Islam since it was banned by the Soviets. Decades later, when my grandfather and I visited his city of birth and his family, it really opened my eyes to how much living conditions change personality, lifestyle and even appearance. On the drive down to Shahrisabz, there were fields of wheat, barley and cotton as far as the eye could see. That was all there was to look at for an hour or so. Once we finally entered the city, things became more lively. We could see that people were out walking, talking and playing, but since my grandpa s cousinlived on the outskirts of the city, we had to endure a few more minutes of only fields before we came to a small village. • 13. Similarities Between Buddhism And Buddhism Buddhism, like other world religions, is not one homogeneous grouping of like minded devotees adhering to one school of thought. Just as Christianity has its Catholics and Protestants, and Islam its Sunnis and Shiites, Buddhism is also comprised of various schools and sects. Some scholars separate Buddhist schools into geographical groupings, such as Southern, Eastern and Northern traditions, whereas some prefer to focus on a more tradition specific delineation, such as Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana Buddhism(Cousins 1998, p. 370; Buddhism 2015 ). All traditions accept the fundamental Buddhist doctines of Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, anatta (absence of soul) and karma (causation), but differ on other significant aspects. This essay will compare and contrast two Buddhist traditions, the Therevada Buddhism of Sri Lanka, and Mahayana Buddhism of China. Theravada Buddhism can also be characterised as representative of the Southern tradition of Buddhism, whereas Mahayana is of the Eastern tradition. This essay will also address how these particular types of Buddhism developed in their respective countries. Prior to the arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka in 247 BCE, the cultural environment was characterised by a mix of indigenous (veddha) and Aryan beliefs, influenced by elements of mainland Indian culture (Perera 2013). By skill I mean both the skill and the intelligence that the woman shows in doing what she does, and planning it, and also the skill and intelligence of the writer, de Maupassant. This fishingline is known by conservationists as a curtain of death (Kielburger). Overfishing is the fishing of a species at levels too high for the species to reproduce. When fish populations are low in one area, fishing boats will need to move to another area where fish are more abundant. This renders oceans and their sea life helpless and severely damaged until all of the fish in the oceans are completely gone. That is why governments need laws establishing the length of time a person could spend at sea fishing, in order to reduce overfishing and increase recovery of fish populations. One example of a fish population suffering from overfishing is the Pacific bluefin tuna. Overfishing has left the world with less than five percent of its Pacific Bluefin tuna, says the Pew Environment Group (Kowalski). This statement explains to the world how overfishing can drastically decrease a species population in an extraordinarily short time period. The Pacific bluefin tuna and other fish are very much stressed by overfishing, and suffer severe losses of population every day. Moreover, overfishing will soon lead to the extinction of fish species like the Pacific bluefin tuna. The European Commission even admits that the EU s [European Union] stocks are 88% overfished ( An Icelandic Success ). This reveals Europe s failure to prevent overfishing from spreading throughout the continent and beyond its borders. Both themes went hand in hand as lynching, as mentioned by Bosworth and Flavin, had been a response to the perceived erosion of white male domination (Bosworth and Flavin, pg. 77). As well, they mentioned that such act first surfaced through slavery although, as we were able to read in The Lynching of Personas of Mexican Origin or Descent in the United States, 1848 To 1928, lynching of minorities overall became a highly practiced act by the White race. As well, through SODA, many African Americans are being imprisoned and forced to work for free while completing their sentences just as slaves were held captive until they paid their debt to their owners and were made to work picking up cotton, vegetables or grains in the fields. Forensic Accounting And Fraud Examination Problem 1 12 With 20 percent of the inventory missing, along with large portions of the written and computer records, Mary Soto should hire an external forensic account. Mary should not jump to conclusions and call the police just yet, but may need to do so according to the findings of the forensic accountant. Even if thefts have occurred calling the police and alerting the employees of her suspicion will not always be in the best interest of Mary or the company. In our textbook Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination George Young asserts: It is especially important in the initial notification and evaluation stage to keep the matter as quiet and secret as is legally possible. In many cases, especially in small businesses, the owner manager s initial reaction is associated with anger and an overwhelming desire to confront the suspected employee. This temptation must be strongly resisted. Confronting the suspect too soon is one of the most damaging things that can be done in an investigation. It is much better first to secretly gather all the facts and understand the mechanics of the suspect s fraud scheme. If Mary is not careful she could create some legal missteps which could further damage her and the company. For example, Mary could be sued for defamation if it is found out that the missing records and estimated losses are due to an accounting anomaly. Engineered Food Technology and industrialization of the food industry have changed how food is grown, and altered its nutritional value. Multinational organizations are making decisions that affect the health and prosperity of people worldwide. These organizations have found ingenuous ways of packaging and marketing unsafe products to the public. Education and awareness of the problems are the only hope for improving the food industry and the quality of food. Industrialization of food began with the advent of fast food chains. The McDonald brothers were the first to introduce assembly line food processing. By assigning each employee one task to perform they were more efficient, and they paid those employees less than employers who expected an employee to perform start to finish tasks. The food industry implemented the assembly line approach, quickly changing how food is processed, and decreasing the pay rate for workers. Meat processing once regarded as a profession performed by skilled butchers, now it is a highly dangerous job filled by minority or illegal immigrants willing to take health and deportation risks for a very low wage. Efficiency and cost drives all bad behavior across the food industry. (Kenner, 2008) Cattle once raised on grass and grains now feed on liquefied protein, liquefied fat and corn. The calves are still grass fed until they reach 400 500 pounds; they are then sold to stocker operators who start feeding corn to the cattle. This is an unnatural ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first mechanism is based on carcinogenesis promoting effect of pathogen itself and second is the development of carcinogenesis environment due to long term infection with such pathogen. The second mechanism determined that though the H.pylori do not promote the carcinogenesis effect by itself, the long term infection caused by such pathogen can causes the gastric mucosa inflammation that leads to mucosal atrophy resulting to intestinal metaplasia which are considered as precursor of gastric cancer. No matter the situation, the choice must be right. But in Mr. Nobody, Nemo explains that not all our choices have to be right. That s because we don t know what s right until they happen. Main Idea 2: The movie Mr. Nobody showed me that knowing your actions or results doesn t make it easier to live with ourselves. So sometimes when you take the blame off yourself and put it on mystery, it makes life easier to live. Because the burden of choosing one family member over the only raises complexity and conflict in his mind. Also, running away was the only time his decisions couldn t be judged because he didn t know what would happen. Supporting Idea 2b: The movie made me realize that the burden my choices bear keeps me from choosing the choice that s good for me, so applying some unpredictability to them helps. It may not be the right choice, but I wouldn t know which choice was the best until I made one. Transition: a quote from the movie says, You have to make the right choice. Summary Of Beast Of Waste And Desolation In The Beast of Waste and Desolation in Barry Holstun Lopez s book Of Wolves and Men, he writes about the attitudes he encountered from people when discussing wolves. These attitudes came from several different sources, ranging from several different Native American tribes and field biologists to ranchers, trappers, and general residents of the areas where he conducted his research. Lopez expressed his discomfort when he spoke with the latter group, as those people that felt there was nothing wrong with killing wolves, and that the practice, overall, was a good thing. Lopez writes that it seemed many of these people appeared to be filled with a general hatred; of government, laws, and wolves. The killing of wolves held a vengeful element, with no remorse or regret. He goes into detail of the single minded persecution of the wolf, even though many of the conflicts with wolves were man made. One example provided was of man depleting many of the wolves natural prey sources like elk and buffalo, and as a result the wolves turned to preying on the domestic stock instead. Suddenly, man was justified in killing wolves as it became necessary to protect livestock. The larger questions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
