7th Grade History Classroom
Purpose of your experiences as they relate to the course objectives
After observing a 7th grade classroom, I have seen our class objectives being used in the classroom.
I saw how a teacher uses assessment to check her students understanding and adjust instruction to
meet the needs of the students. I saw different forms of assessment of formative assessment. I saw
observations, the use of questioning, worksheets, and homework. The teacher reviewed material
and retaught material that students had trouble understanding.
Brief synopsis of your experiences
I visited a 7th grade history course. The class was learning about American colonies. The teacher
incorporated primary and secondary documents into her lessons. Students analyzed documents

Living and Coping with Cystic Fibrosis in the South Asian...
A widely accepted Caucasian disease has since changed; as cases of its existence are appearing in
the South Asian Population (Orenstein, Rosenstein and Stern, 2000). First discovered in 1989,
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetically predetermined condition, its presences is lifelong and highly
complex, which is why many CF sufferers and families develop various mechanisms in order to
adapt to the condition (Tippingemail, Scholes, Cox, 2010). Cystic Fibrosiscauses the body to
develop thick, sticky mucus which clogs the lungs and affects other organs in the body, mainly the
pancreas. The layer of mucus if untreated develops in to a chronic infection which can be
detrimental. The pancreas of a CF patient is most vulnerable, once the mucus has... Show more

Discussions of such issues suggest that other external factors may be influencing the decisions and
maintenance of many CF patients. For instance CF patients need to prioritise the way in which they
self manage their treatment, this can be difficult when trying to balance family, work, education and
other responsibilities and their levels of adherence may fluctuate (Sawicki, Sellers, Robinson,
2009). These fluctuations can be detrimental to their condition and may result in hospitalisation,
causing additional disruptions in their daily life. However, engaging in so called normal activities
might therefore also reinforce a sense of being healthy and having a nondifferent identity.
Conquering a healthy balance is one which CF patients may need to adopt. One of the significant
points from McCormick et al, (2005) research underlined the substantial clinical differences for
females in comparison to males. The authors found that females had worst disease severity than
males. Why might this difference be occurring? In 2009 Besier, Schmitz and Goldbeck,
investigated the effects of relationship status on life satisfaction, as numerous findings suggest that
despite the relationship status, many females CF patients still reported worse quality of life scores
than males (Walters, Britton, Hodson, 1993). Besier et al, (2009) administrated the Life satisfaction
questionnaire on a sample of 243 CF (129

Compare And Contrast The Spanish And Aztecs
The Aztec and Spanish were both some of the strongest nations in the place they inhabited. The
Spanish went to war to collect territory for their homeland in Spain. The Aztec went to war to
please their gods and collect prisoners to sacrifice. The Spanish war strategies were for taking over
the land they desired without war, but if it came to it they would fight. The weapons that both
nations used were very dangerous, but were well suited for what they nation needed them for. The
Aztecweapons were mostly for capturing prisoners. The Spanish weapons were used mostly for
killing and were very durable. The Aztec and Spanish both had different reasons for going to war

Warfare was a part of Aztec life, the Aztecs went to war so that could capture people to sacrifice
to their beloved gods. They believed if they did not sacrifice people the gods would get angry
and the world would end. Other reasons to go to war were that they could expand their territory,
and collect resources. The Aztec threw scattered wooden spears to disperse the enemy troops,
come in and knock out the dispersed enemy warriors. The Spanish had a very different approach to
war the Spanish tried to peacefully negotiate and discover the most powerful. When the Spanish
found the strongest colony they would kidnap their leader and make him do their bidding, if the
leader would not listen they would threaten to kill him. If things did not work out peacefully the
conquistadors would fight on open ground where they have an advantage. The tactics and strategy
so that the Spanish and Aztec used were very different, but the Spanish had many superior weapons,
tactics, and focused more on killing rather than capturing. All of these reasons are why the Aztec

Persuasive Essay On Abolish Holidays
Every year as Halloween comes to an end, the Christmas decorations start to appear in the stores,
the commercials appear on the television, and the hussle and bussle slowly begins to happen. The
same thing happens with Easter. As Valentine s Day comes to a close the Easter candy comes out,
the decorations come out, and the Spring clothing ads appear. What really is all of this stuff besides
just stuff? Does any of it mean anything? Stores are not bringing out nativity scenes and crucifixes;
they are bringing out candies, christmastrees, Santas, easter eggs, and Easter Bunnies. These are all
materialistic items. The holidays are supposed to reflect much more than any materialistic item
could ever reflect. They are both supposed to be centered... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This is truly disappointing for many reasons. People are not celebrating these holidays for what
they are to be celebrated for. Today, they have become all about the gifts, decorations, and food.
Today, kids will throw a fit because they did not get the gifts that they wanted. When in reality
these holidays are not even supposed to be about the gifts. On the other hand, there are 17.4
million families that struggle to put food on the table and pay the bills (Malter). These parents
do not want their children to feel left out next to the other kids whose parents make a lot of
money. Parents who struggle have to find ways to make more money so their children can
celebrate the holidays with gifts just like the rest of society. This is unfair to the 14% of families
who feel they have to get their children gifts for these holidays because that is what is expected
(Malter). If the holidays were celebrated the way they are supposed to be, which is just with the
company of family and friends, these families would not have to worry about how they are going
to make their children happy on Christmas or Easter. For the families that do not have to worry
about money but have the children that are greedy and ungrateful for their gifts, they would not
have to worry about making their children happy

What Is Reducing Crime Through A Targeted Literacy Program
I, Gracie Woodyard, as the president of this fraternity select Reducing Crime through a Targeted
Literacy Program as the sole recipient of our funds to combat youth drug crime in our community.
While all three proposals gave strong arguments as to why their organization should receive our
funds, programs similar to that stated in proposal two by Marcia Brady, John Walton, and
Samantha Stephens have shown more success in the reduction of drug related crimes when
compared to the law and order techniques used by the Drug Abuse Resistance Education(DARE)
which is described in proposal one and the presence of neighborhood patrols described in proposal
three. The strongest argument made in Reducing Crimethrough a Targeted Literacy... Show more

Due to this piece of evidence and the statement made earlier, I believed I had enough information to
eliminate proposal three, Increasing Citizens Patrol Efforts in High Drug Crime Neighborhoods ,
which was also going to use the funds to equip their patrol teams with uniforms, radios, and other
equipment rather than investing it into education and prevention materials necessary to combat
youth drug crime.
After eliminating proposal three, I sat down to compare the effectiveness of Project DARE
described in proposal one and the literacy program described in proposal two. After further research
it came to my attention that despite DARE [becoming] America s most popular drug education
program , [t]he effectiveness of [DARE] has yet to be demonstrated (Rosenbaum, Flewelling,
Bailey, Ringwalt, and Wilkinson 3 31). With this information I further examined proposal one by
Ronald Smith and Kendra Jones which stated, The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program has
been active in our city for the past ten years this statement in conjunction with the previous findings
led me to question whether our funds would truly help to make a difference. After ten years of

Transference and Counter Transference Essay
Transference and counter transference is one of most important aspects of treatment between
patient and practitioner. In a clinical setting we do not always have the opportunity to have
consecutive treatments with the same patient and as a result may not be able to acknowledge or

I was trained by my previous interns to being an active part of the process, and expected that this
past internship was going to be the same but it was not. This particular intern was very arrogant,
thought she was always right, and looked down upon me. She made her feelings clear to me and I
really hated working with her. I noticed she really hated whenever I gave her any suggestions about
treatments principle, even when the supervisor would say the same thing she totally would ignore it.
The reason she felt this way, I think, was because she was an intern and I am an assistant. There
was definitely a superiority complex/power struggle thing going on here. Maybe she felt
humiliated by me noticing thing she did not. I certainly did not mean to humiliate her. I think
she should understand, me being an assistant, that I am there to help her. It was not uncommon

Fig. 1 Distribution of Egretta thula throughout North and South America based on seasons.
Habitat
Snowy egrets inhabit marshes, ponds, swamps, and mudflats (Bull Farrand). Since snowy egrets
are wading birds, like other herons and egrets, they prefer habitats that are close to water. Wading
birds breed and build their nests in close proximity to water, allowing them to have access to food
while raising their young. In North America, the snowy egret s favorite habitats include salt
marshes, shallow bays, and mangroves. Snowy egrets prefer similar habitats throughout South and
Central America and the Caribbean (Weslosky, 2002).
Conservation Biology
Life cycle and reproduction
Breeding colonies, sometimes of multiple different species, form on islands surrounded by
water or guarded by a vegetative buffer. Such features are presumed to be desirable due to the
protection they provide from predators on the ground (Frederick, 2002). Nests are often built
using sticks, reeds, and other vegetation and constructed in trees, shrubs, or other aquatic
vegetation (Elphick, 2014). A clutch consists of 3 5 eggs, a pale blue green in color, laid in a nest
located in a bush or reedbed, specific to the species of egret (Bull Farrand, 1994). Breeding season
begins in March or early April and males will perform both flight and vocal displays to attract
females. Snowy egrets are social nesters

Corporate members come from numerous sectors, from retail to educational to financial services
(see Exhibit 2 for a list of corporate members for the Guggenheim Museum). This diversity in
corporate sponsorship helps promote the diversity in audience that the Guggenheim Foundation is
looking to attract by reaching out to people working in different sectors and in various locations
around the world. To determine whether the Armani exhibition is considered a sell out, the
relationship between the objectives of the Armani exhibition and the Solomon R. Guggenheim
Foundation s mission statement plays a central role. Since the mission statement allows for
interpretation of what is considered art in the modern and contemporary periods, the Armani
exhibition does fit into this mission. Additionally, since the Foundation strives to put on
exceptional exhibitions for an increasingly diverse international audience, the Armani exhibition
fulfills this part of the mission because it attracted a high level of attentionВ—from celebrities to
experts in the fashion industry to businesspeopleВ—who came from different parts of the world to
see the famous works of Armani. Thus, this exhibition does appear to fulfill the mission of the
Foundation. However, it is important to note that while at face value the Armani exhibition seems
to fulfill the mission of the Foundation, the actual Armani exhibition itself tells a different story.
The Armani exhibition was meant to be a

Junk Food In Schools (A Serious Epidemic)
Junk Food In Schools ( A Serious Epidemic) Junk food according to Merriam Webster s dictionary
is food that is high in calories but low in nutritional content (Merriam s Webster Dictionary). It is a
very unhealthy group of foods that Americans eat and is part of the lifestyle of the average
american. Junk Foodis very common in American schools, and Scholars and Scientists alike have
attributed this to the extreme rise of obesity in the United States. Junk foods should be prohibited in

The amount of money used to treat patients with health related reasons stemming from
consumption of junk food is extreme and hurts the economy and its GDP (Gross Domestic
Product). Renowned authors Deborah Lee and Nancy Sprague testify that Economically, US
health care spending on chronic illness as a percent of gross domestic product is substantial
(Point: Public Schools 5). This quote on its own should be able to raise awareness in the fight
against junk food in schools and it needs to be heard. Absolute amounts of how much the
government spends on these health related illnesses have not been calculated but the numbers are
expected to be at very high amounts. Speaking of economic health costs, another way junk food
negatively impacts the economy is through the way they affect the revenue of companies that
provide healthy food. It is of utmost importance that people know that Financial challenges find
families purchasing cost effective foods which tend not to be the healthiest products the local
supermarket stock. (Point: Public Schools 9) according to authors Lee and Sprague . One way
people will be able to avoid buying junk food is if companies that provide healthy dieting reduce
the prices of their goods so that financially challenged families will not have to resort to cheap
junk food to be able to live. With this method, they will be able to afford healthy food to feed

The Hollywood movie Pretty Woman (1990) is about a prostitute in Hollywood, marrying an
extremely rich businessman, in spite of her mutual distrust and prejudice. The movie contains the
basic narrative of the Cinderella tale: through the love and help of a man of a higher social position,

Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) in Pretty Woman comes from a small town in Georgia, and works as a

The movie gives the message that women must do acknowledge their responsibilities towards
themselves, which can and should never be neglected or postponed for the sake of anyone or
anything. Nothing in this world is worth sacrificing your own aspirations for. A person s greatest
assets are self respect, dignity and individuality. Woman should safeguard her identity by not letting
her individuality get submerged and by keeping her priorities intact all her life and creating a place
for herself.
I think that the movie keeps the gender role stereotyping unchanged. It reflects certain
conservative trends of the decade during which it was made, the influence of feminist ideology as
well as some commonly recognized American values, for example, individualism and self reliance.
Even if this movie is produced by male filmmakers in the conservative Reagan era the profound
influence of feminist ideology can be traced in most of the following issues.
1. Work Opportunity
In the movie Pretty Woman, which is not set in a conventional work place, we can still find
working women everywhere: in the hotel, in the stores, and in offices
2. The Sisterhood
Movie shows the betrayal or unfavorable depiction of the sisterhood, an important concept in
feminist ideology, emphasizing that women are bound in a communal oneness. The movie

Accounting Is The Basis Of Identifying, Collecting And...
Introduction
Accountancy analyses information for a variety of purposes within the business, while finance is to
do with the financial funds directly within the management. This report will be defining and
explaining the terms and the purpose of accounting and finance . As well as this it aims to cover
the main aspects of what should guide those who work in these areas.
What is accounting?
Accounting is the recording of financial transactions plus storing, sorting, retrieving, summarizing,
and presenting the information in various reports and analyses. (Averkamp, 2012)

Accounting is based on two specific sectors, financial accounting and Management accounting.
Financial accounting
According to Obaidullah Jan, Financial accounting is a system that accumulates, processes and
reports information about an entity s performance (i.e. profit or loss), its financial position (i.e.
assets, liabilities and shareholders equity) and changes in financial position. Every entity, whether
for profit or not for profit, aims at creating maximum value for its stakeholders. The goal of
maximum value addition is best achieved when there is a mechanism to monitor the management
and the board of directors. Financial accounting helps in such monitoring by providing relevant,
reliable and timely information to the stakeholders, (Jan, Financial accounting, 2013).
Financial accounting is the recorded information for external users who are people outside of the
organisation like investors and tax authorities which includes a report at the end of the year on
balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, auditors report and director s report.

Costco First Of The Warehouse Club Industry Essay
Costco first opened in 1976 as Price Club. At the time, it was located in a converted airplane
hangar in San Diego, California, servicing small businesses. Soon, it realized that opening its
doors to non business members would result in far better sales. Thus, the birth of the warehouse
club industry came to light. In 1983, the first Costco warehouse location opened up in Kirkland,
Washington, near Seattle. It quickly became the first company to ever grow to $3 billion in
sales in under six years. Once it merged with Price Club in 1993, becoming PriceCostco, there
were 206 locations with $16 billion in annual sales. In 1997 it resumed the Costco name, and in
recent years has reached a total of $64 billion in sales each year. As the company continues to
evolve, it still stays true to its attractive qualities that have earned millions of loyal customers
around the world. They have a commitment to quality. By only carrying 4000 stocked units in the

The Botany Of Desire By Michael Pollen
The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollen uses examples of four plants including the apple ,tulip,
marijuana, and the potato, to describe evolution and how mankind works to help plants reproduce.
We are a slave to things of sweetness, beauty, intoxication, and control. These four things are
described by the different plant chapters in the book. We as people are driven to these kind of
things because of the product we get, we subconsciously are working to make these plants more fit
and therefore helping in their reproduction and evolution. With each plant chapter Pollen goes into
depth about its contribution to the world and history behind the plant within human evolution. By
using the examples he provides in the book helps demonstrate the ideas of how these plants
contribute to the human body systems, evolution and ecology. To further explain these topics I
chose to explore the apple, tulip and cannabisplants.
The consumption of the apple is involved in two different body systems: the digestive system and
the nervous system. The digestive system has the function of getting nutrients into the body. The
apple is an edible substance that is consumed through the mouth. Teeth cut food into smaller pieces
and then is pushed into the esophagus, being passed by muscle contractions called penistalsis. The
chewed up apple ends up in the stomach where the gastric juices that break down connective tissue

The play starts out with a narrator. As the characters come out you notice they are all dressed

up on a motorcycle, to talk to Mercutio. They appear to be talking in the forest. They used the
dialect that was used in the original play, but dressed modern. The motorcycle is the only motor
vehicle in the play. Lady capulet is depicted as a woman with a temper and that doesn t take any

whereas in the other two he seems more abusive, to both lady capulet and Juliet. It seems to have
more scenes, where it shows Romeo and Juliet just talking on her balcony because she doesn t
really have a room in the play. The only seen where she has a room is when she drinks that

it show Juliet talking about it to the nurse, and the nurse comforting her. Tybalt has no trouble

The Impact Of The 20th Century On German Literature
One of the few things that impacted literary movements in German literature in the 20th century
was Expressionism and what the Germans refer to as Neue Sachlichkeit , which means new
objectivity (Scherer, Conybeare MuМ€ller, 1906). However, historical events such as the first
world war led to the division of the nation into west and east Germany. Therefore, the historical
impact on literature differs in both sections. While the east reckoned with the teaching of Hungary
philosopher Georg Lukacs, declaring themselves as the communist resistance of Nazism , which
led to the birth of Socialist Realism (Bahr, Ryan, Jaeger, 2015), the political situation in the west
paved the way for writers such as Bertolt Brecht, who through their work felt the need to fill the
cultural vacuum created by the defeat of Nazism.
The following essay will therefore discuss the impact of the 20th century on German speaking
literature, after which it will analyse the responses of Bertolt Brecht and GГјnter Eich to the
historical and political events.
Bertolt Brecht in response to the first world war, which he experienced as a teenager wrote an
essay to the phrase Dulce et decorum est pro patria morin , a poet by the Roman Horace, which
almost ruined his pursuit for education at the time (Bertolt Brecht, 2017). In his essay, he
described the recruitment of young soldiers under the disguise of dying for their country as a
cheap propaganda for a specific purpose , arguing that only senseless

Dogs are naturally cute but their cuteness can be reduced with the presence of stubborn stains
under their eyes. Tear staining is a common problem of dogs especially to some breeds. Stains
under a dog s eyes are caused by excessive tearing brought by a number of eye problems such as
dog eye infections, eye lids and eyelash problems, shallow eye socket problems, blockage in the
tear drainage holes and food allergies. The long hair in the face and the hair growing in the skin
folds around the eyes can also irritate the eyes resulting to excessive tearing. Whatever the cause
of your dog s excessively watery eyes, it can lead to another problem which is the visible tear stains

The Gathering Place Case
Running Head: Case Study #4
Case Study #4

Liberty University
Introduction Betty Wilson has decided to open a coffee shop and is considering various options
including franchising, sole proprietorship, joint venture, corporation and partnership. In addition to
determining the best legal entity to form, Betty has to decide if she will employ or partner with
various friends and family members. Finally, she plans to name the coffee shop The Gathering
Place and must determine if the name is available and a good choice. This paper will evaluate the
pros and cons of various business options, address the dilemma of whom to hire and determine if
The Gathering Place is a viable option for the name ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another limitation is that a franchisee is typically operating a trademarked business so the
opportunity to open a business under a name other than the franchise name is unlikely. For
example, Betty would not be able to purchase a Starbucks franchise but operate it as Gathering
Place .
Business Formation Recommendation to Betty Based on the research of various business entities,
the most viable option for Betty is to form a LLC. With a LLC she can limit her liability and
choose to include a partner. It often takes years for new businesses to become thriving and
profitable. A franchise could place Betty in a position where she is obligated to buy unneeded
inventory, advertisement, etc. This type of financial obligation could limit the success of Betty s
coffee shop.
Staffing the Coffee Shop Betty has received support from her husband to pursue this
entrepreneurial opportunity. There have also been friends and family who have expressed interest
in potentially partnering with or working for Betty. In successful business partnerships, the
business partners visions and belief systems align and are similar. If Betty wants a business
partner, her husband, who is willing to provide financial support but not management oversight, is
the best option. Betty will need help staffing the coffee shop and could consider hiring Alice and
Erma as employees. She should be cautious with Alice whose husband has already indicated he
does not support his wife working.

Next Plc Case Study
Task 1 Part 1
For the task I have chosen Next Plc. It is a British apparel, footwear and home products retailer.
According to the Company s official website, it has around 700 stores in the UK and about 200
stores worldwide (Next Plc: At a glance, 2016). The Company is listed on the London Stock
Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100 Index.
Question 1
Next s three key resource are financial, human and capital. They are limited and their effective
allocation has a direct impact on the Company s financial performance and long run viability.
Financial resources
Financial resources are used in the funding of the business operations and include equity capital
and debt capital, such as bank loans, debentures, commercial papers or any other payables. In case
of NEXT Plc, its equity capital, or internal funding, amounts to ВЈ311.8 million, consisting mostly
of share capital and fair value reserve. The Company s debt capital, or outside funding, includes
bank loans and overdrafts, trade payables and corporate bonds, overall summing up to over ВЈ2 bln.

Why Is Electronic Voting A Bad Idea
Is Electronic Voting a Bad Idea?
Is electronic voting a bad idea? Some people believe it is and others do not. In my opinion, I
think electronic voting is not a good idea. I do not trust electronic voting due to hacking problems,
also because its very expensive as well and not everyone knows or can use an electronic device.
One reason I believe electronic voting is not a good idea is because of hacking problems. I dont feel
like its a secure way to vote. Just with basic electrical knowledge and tools someone can easily
hack the system and tamper with the votes. For example: in my experience i knew someone that
was very skilled in computers. This person easily showed me how he can use certain codes and
hack into cameras from other places. That in fact scared me because he made it look so easy. No
matter how good the technology may be these days there is always someone out there that can
easily hack and tamper with very important information. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The article states that it s 115 million on EVM upgrades. Not only will you have to put a lot of
money to install and get all that you need to make this electronic voting possible, you also have to
keep up with it as well. Not everyone can make this possible because of the costs for this new
technology. For example: my husband and I bought a computer a few years ago, after a good year
our computer started having problems out of no where. This computer cost us a lot of money and
this is only for a computer imagine for this new technology. I strongly agree that not all electronics
last that long without having any problems and this will cost us a

Analysis Of Phantom Of The Opera
Echoes is written in C Sharp Minor, and the riff begins on the tonic chord. Phantom of the Opera
is in B Flat minor and also begins on the tonic chord. Putting tempo differences aside, the C Sharp
Minor and B Flat Minor Chords respectively hold for a relative equivalent beats. In the final
beat(s) of the bar, a descending chromatic four note pattern plays, beginning on the tonic note, and
finishing a major third below (A major chordin Echoes, and a G flat major in Phantom)...The
chords however are comparably far less audible due to the left hand accenting octaves of the root
notes, and serve only as slight substance and not much audible difference (Alexondrovics, 2016. p.
5).
In a sense, Alexondrovics is spelling out exactly what Webber... Show more content on

Roger Waters mentions Webber s thievery in an interview about the album and its similarities to
Webber s, but ultimately shrugs off taking Webber to court knowing he could not possibly win
the suit. ... I couldn t believe it when I heard it... ...it s the same structure and it s the same notes
and it s the same everything... It probably is actionable. It really is! But I think that life s too long
to bother with suing Andrew f**king Lloyd Webber (Alexondrovics, 2016. p. 5). Webber had
lawyers who countered that any legal action would cost the plaintiff more than the royalties would
bring in and were therefore not worth the trouble.
Also, more popular artists of today are not the only ones Webber has been accused of stealing
from. If a person is going to compose an operatic musical, they are going to need to understand
opera a little better and perhaps search out some inspirations for it. This is the very system
Webber had to use when composing for Phantom of the Opera. Music of the Night from Phantom
of the Opera is almost entirely similar to the song A Quello che tacete from Puccini s La Fanciulla
del West or the English title, Girl of the Golden West. Webber does not even try to cover his tracks.
Unfortunately, I believe when intellectual property laws and accusations become more prevalent in
an ever evolving society, with technology and worldwide access making plagiarism detection much
easier, it

As a leader, one has legal and ethical responsibility. Both nonprofits and public organizations have
ethical and legal practices that need to be managed. Many unethical issues in these institutions
continue to plague the industry leading to fraud and financial abuse. This paper analyzes the

Food Service Supplies ( Fss )
1.1Problem Description
Food Service Supplies (FSS) is a UK based provider which provides perishable foodstuff to
catering industry and it started supplying professional catering companies. Upon managing the
foodstuff delivery business, FSS consists of four sub systems and to receive an order, there are
three channels available which are calls directly, online order and paper form order.
It is important for FSS to track information of a customer order and food delivery but somehow,
such service level is failed. The problem of service failures including mis interpretation of customer
order, mis picking of products, damage to goods during distribution and incorrect invoice affects the
customers, managing director and the company staff. These arise from manual order, generation
of dispatch notes and the loading of picked orders onto trucks for delivery, manual picking list as
well as from completed delivery notes and the generation of Invoices. The impact of which is a
dissatisfied customers and losing of business.
As a result, the Managing Director of FSS initiated a project to investigate the requirements for a
proposed Service Level Reporting(SLR) solution. This project is to track service level failures and
report on key performance indicators across the organization.

Peru s Human Development Index Essay
During the majority of the nineteenth century, Peru had consistently struggled with a turbulent
political history, especially regarding its stability. The incapability of institutions to solidify, which
contributes the the lack of political stability, occurred from quick successions of government and
constant reforms within the political structure (Weeks, 2015). But regardless of Perus record of
political instability, steps have been taken in the recent years to consolidate its democracy and
reach for economic policies that are market friendly.
Although Peru is a developing country, it has a high human development index that has been
strengthening over the years. According to the Human Development Reports from the United
Nations Development Programme, Peru s Human Development Index (HDI) ranking has
increased from approximately .6 in 1990 to .734 in 2014, and has retained this ranking the
following year (UNDP, 2015). Peru is also rated at 2.5 out of 7 in freedom (Freedom House,
2015). As for human security, Peru has a homicide rate of 9.6 per 100,000 people, which is nearly
double the homicide rate of the United States (UNDP, 2015). According to the same 2014 reports,
Peru s ranking under the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) is set as .043, meaning that 10.4%
of the population falls under multidimensional poverty, and 2.1% live under severe
multidimensional poverty (UNDP, 2015). From recent years, there has been a rise of demand for a

Chris Mccandless And The Alaskan Wilderness For A Time
Despite his inexperience at living off the land, Chris Mccandless managed to survive in the
Alaskan wilderness for a time. His adventures across the United States contributed to honing his
skills at surviving with inadequate supplies, little money, and few essential tools. Unfortunately
This was not enough, and his inexperience on the finer points of outdoor living and general
knowledge of particular subjects proved to create more challenges, and finally this inexperience
killed him. Particularly, with his successful kill of a moose we see a perfect example of his
ignorance, Then on June 9, he bagged the biggest prize of all: MOOSE! (166.) His tendency to
brashly tackle everything head on with will and determination ultimately led to his demise,
Overjoyed, the proud hunter took a photograph of himself kneeling over his trophy, rifle

From McCandless notes and photographs of the kill, we realize that Chris s attempt to preserve the

like a disaster. (167.) The moose was so large; to the point that Alex had trouble cutting out the
parts of the moose he needed. McCandless spent six days toiling to preserve what he had killed
before it spoiled. He butchered the carcass under a thick cloud of flies and mosquitoes. (166.) He

Fee Simple Research Paper
Fee simple defeasible is another way of saying fee simple qualified. Fee simple qualified is an
estate for which owner has fee simple title subject to a condition. If the condition is not met, then
the title passes back to the owner. It is a conditional estate based on that condition. A condition
subsequent is a condition that must occur after the transaction and a condition precedent is a
condition that must occur prior to the transaction. The classic example is that of a specific use
being required of a property. A man gave his property to the city to use as a library. Years later
the city stopped using the property as a library and the man s heirs demanded the property back.
The man s family regained title because the title held by the city was a fee simpledefeasible

The Theory And Post Modernism Theory

Theories in social work play an important role in solving problems among families from different
background. Problems can be evolving from an individual ,or families or may constitute their
concerned societies or communities. In my report I have selected three theories each from the
recommended ones Individual theory, Structural theory and Post Modernism theory., that is
cognitive behavioural therapy, empowerment and narrative therapy respectively. As theory helps
us understand and contest ideas ,also offers a practice framework , I would like to impart these
theories on practice.(payne 2005) I have got a case to apply these principles of each theories. a

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings Poem
In her poem, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Maya Angelou The bird sings because it wants

nothing by her choice. I also think she can t do nothing by herself in the movie. I think people
should know this because it s sad that in the past people had to do that for white people. For me i
think the poem and the movie are at least alike. Odessa cannot do stuff in the house because the
owners might get mad at her but the wife stands up for the black people for me that was a good
choice because black people are people they are not toys. Odessa is related to the caged bird
because she can t go to places. This supports my claim because people right now are not locked
up for slaves. This also supports my claim because black people are not toys they are people that

My Communication Skills Of My Life And How They Have Been...
Being able to communicate is a great skill that one can practice every day of our lives. There are
several ways or types of communication skills I have learned in this course such as vocally,
written, visually, or non verbally. In this assignment, I am going to write about my
communication skills in three periods of my life and how they have been developed. First, I
would like to talk about how I was when I was a little. When I was about five or six years old, I
was spoiled between my family just like most of the other kids. However, outside my house I
can describe myself as a shy and quiet girl that I sometimes in school I have been bullied by
other students. When I was five years old my dad enrolled me and my half brother who is as my
age in a kindergarten school. I was always with my brother and I felt safe around him, but when
we become at the seventh age, my dad couldn t have enrolled us in the same school because he
was told that I was born at the last days of November and they would accept me in the school with
the next generation. Therefore, my dad decided that I am going to a private schoolso that I can be
with my generation.
At the first day of school I was afraid to be alone without having my brother around me. I just
hated that school because I was just by myself, and my classmates were not nice to me at all. The
boys and some girls were very mean and like to be bullying for example, they always take my stuff
and refused to return them back when I ask them to,

Short Story The Gift Of The Magi
Think about the last time that you opened a present that had been given to you by someone you

that one perfect gift? In the short story The Gift of the Magi , by O. Henry, the couple, Mr. and
Mrs. Dillingham Young sacrificed their most prized possessions for one another. They did this in
order to buy each other nice Christmas presents. Della s most prized possession was her beautiful
hair that she cut off and sold for the money. JimВ№s was his gold watch which he also sold so
that he could buy Della a gift. Della and Jim both sold their favorite things to buy each other
something special. Della bought Jim a platinum chain for his watch. Jim bought Della tortoise
shell clips for her hair. Since both had given up their most prized possessions for each other, the
gifts were worthless, but very special in their eyes. In this short storythe author presents a
wonderful example of a true lovestory. It paints a picture of how true love should be and the
sacrifices required to have a relationship like these two people had. The author O. Henry tells the
story of this couple from a narrator s point of view. The narrator of the short story is the spectator
of the events that are occurring between the couple. The author of this story chose to not uncover in

Southwest Airlines and Microeconomics Southwest Airlines was created in 1967 and is
headquartered in Dallas, TX. Southwest offers flights to their passengers to get them to their
destinations when they want to get there, on time, at the lowest possible fare. The advantage that
Southwest has in the marketplace is their commitment to their customers. The mission of Southwest

Southwest is reducing flights to try and be more efficient on their fuel consumption. Another
issue is the increase in ticket prices. Southwest Airlines has announced that they will be raising
their ticket prices to offset the high cost of jet fuel. In March of 2012 Southwest raised fares by
between $4 and $10 per round trip, depending on the distance (The Associated Press, 2012). In
today s economy, this may decrease the demand for flying and people may look for more
affordable ways to travel or not travel at all. When looking at the elasticity of demand Southwest is
extremely impacted by the elasticity of demand. Items such as externalities, unemployment,
inflation, and monetary, fiscal, and federal policies affect the elasticity of demand. The elasticity of
demand is based solely on current market conditions, the customer s purpose for travel, and
available substitutes. The airline industry is viewed has being unstable because it is based on
current market conditions, and the market is always changing. If Southwest decided that they
needed to increase their revenue they would have to start by raising the prices of their tickets. The
need for increased revenue would need to be passed on to the consumers . When a ticket price is

the world to study different cultures or groups of people, but some also are involved in the business
world, corporate organizations, different sectors of government, and even the medical and political
fields. Anthropologyis used in various ways of daily life, even though we don t realize it. In the
book Live and Let Live, one of the main research methods that was used, in my opinion, was
participant observation. By definition, participant observation is a research method in which the
researcher not only observes the participants, (in Evelyn Perry s case, the participants were
basically the whole community of Riverwest) but also engage in the same activities. As an
example, Evelyn Perry attended a few festivals during her time in Riverwest. She attended Center
Street Daze, in which she described as a more local little

Example Of Political Cartoon
In his 1988 Supreme Court opinion in Hustler Magazine v. Falwell, the late Chief Justice
Rehnquist argued, the art of the cartoonist is often not reasoned or evenhanded, but slashing and
one sided...the political cartoon is a weapon of attack, of scorn and ridicule and satire...it is
usually as welcome as a bee sting . Despite these biting words, the Court ruled that political
cartoons are essential tools in a democracy. Political cartoons are inherently controversial, as they
seek to mock both the legal and governmental process. However, they are also inherently
American, as they reflect the core tenets of the First Amendment, the right to free speech, and
expression. In this paper, I will analyze a political cartoon, created by the artist Paul Conrad in
1972 for the Los Angeles Times. I will first provide a description of the cartoon, its relevance at the
time, and the political salience that it still maintains today. Secondly, I will examine this cartoon
through five intersecting lens: the efficacy of visual rhetoric/graphic discourse, materiality,
technology/modernity, power, and institutional/male domination. Through these lenses, I will trace
my object s physical and ideological genealogy, and examine its social, political, and historical
significance in contemporary culture. This object came to the archive in a collection of political
cartoons and was clipped from the Los Angeles Times. The collector probably saved a series of Los
Angeles Times political cartoons,

An Overview of the Other Three Temperaments
Artisans are the temperament with a natural ability to excel in any of the arts not only the fine arts
such as painting and sculpting, or the performing arts such as music, theater, and dance, but also the
athletic, military, political, mechanical, and industrial arts, as well as the art of the deal in business.
Idealists, as a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development.
Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self always
this quest for self knowledge and self improvement drives their imagination. They want to help
others make the journey as well. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether
in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they

What Is The Characterization Of The Invisible Man
H. G. Wells s The Invisible Man Started with a mysterious stranger coming to Iping, a small
village where people like to gossip, and seem to know every new thing that happens. This
stranger came to the village completely covered, he was wearing a coat, dark glasses, a hat,
gloves, and bandages that covered his whole face. Not much is known about the stranger, but he
says that he is a scientist that was recently in an accident and cannot be interrupted. People start to
get curious about him and eventually rightly accuse him of robbery. The stranger reveals he is
invisible and fights the villagers. After, escaping he needed to get some important notes back from
Iping so he forces a homeless man named Marvel to help him, but the villagers of Iping attack The
Invisible Manforcing him to fight back. He wins and steals some money from another town to
give Marvel, but Marvel tries to run away so The Invisible Man tries to kill him. Some men in a
bar fight him off and one tries to shoot him, but the bullet just scrapes him, he takes shelter in a

Bed Sores Case Study
Patients should also be engaged in exercises in order to reduce weight. Overweight and obese
patients pose a huge problem in management of bed sores. They are rigid, immobile and very
inactive. The suggested exercises are advised to be considered for reduction of weight, increasing
flexibility of joints, promote blood flow as well as strengthening of muscles and bones. These
exercises should be supplemented with proper feeding, repositioning as well as other methods used
to reduce pressure sores.
Distribution devices These are pressure redistribution equipment and are used to distribute patients
weight. Research shows that the use foam mattresses that are comfortable and thick have a relative
reduction in risk of developing pressure ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was compared to the normal ICU beds, which are noted to propagate formation of bed sores.
Other types of weight pressure distribution tools include beds that are air fluidized, turning beds,
beds with lower air loss, water filled beds, fiber filled beds, silicone filled beds as well as bead
filled beds.
Repositioning
Repositioning of patients prone to pressure sores refers to turning these patients in order to
promote aeration and prevent excessive pressure being exerted on one body part for a long time.
Research has demonstrated that turning of these patients every 4 hours with foam mattresses
developed from visco elastic polyurethane has superiority in outcome compared with lack of
turning of these patients. The same research indicated that turning these patients every 4 hours has
better outcome in reducing risk of grade 1 and grade 2 bed sores than turning them once daily on
the same foam mattresses. This 4 hour turning schedule also has been shown to have little
significant results compared a 2 hour turning schedule on the foam mattresses made of visco elastic
polyurethane (Vanderwee, Grypdonck, De, Defloor, 2007). Nursing interventions in repositioning
of these bedridden patients include occasional turning of these patients from one side to the next.
The basis for this is to facilitate air circulation and relieving body

Difference Between Sleep Drive And The Circadian Alerting...
Sleep is a complex phenomenon, best understood as the product of two intertwined biological
systems : the sleep drive and the circadian alerting system. The sleep drive is our biological need
for sleep. The sleep drive can be thought of as a tank that empties and fills throughout the course
of a day, like the gas tank in a car. When you sleep at night, the tank is filled with sleep. You
awaken in the morning, refueled and ready to drive through the day. The longer you drive
through the day, the more the tank depletes. By bedtime, the tank is on E ; it is empty and you
must sleep to replenish it. The sleep drive forces sleep, so that your tank can be refilled, and your
biological sleep need is met. The circadian alerting system

Essay On Us Foreign Affairs
U.S. Foreign Affairs
The U.S. should rarely be involved with foreign affairs that are international as well as violent.
They should only be involved in specific situations such as when they must save victims in other
countries. Such as the Holocaust and when specific United States Soldiers liberated concentration
camps and save hundreds of thousands of Jewish People, or when the United States decided to take
in refugees from specifically middle eastern countries in war, however the United States needs to
mind their business and not get involved with other countries that are somewhat threatening that we
could possibly get involved with a war with them such as when the U.S. got involved in WWII
which had extremely negative results.

Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made in the USA, an instrument of terror
designed to divide and conquer the oil rich Middle East and to counter Iran s growing influence
in the region. ( America Created Al Qaeda and the ISIS Terror Group. Global Research,
Sept.2014,www.globalresearch.ca/america created al qaeda and the isis terror group/5402881.)
While the United States was interfering with other nations it resulted with the States not paying
much attention to the Middle East causing a breeding ground for terrorists due to the pre
existential hatred these countries had toward westerners, and directly as a result countries all
around the world are experiencing mass murder terrorist attacks such as the 9 11 attacks which is
when nineteen members of the Islamic terrorist group Al Qaeda perpetrated a devastating, deadly
assault on the United States, crashing airplanes into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center,
killing thousands. These attacks were done by the Al Qaeda which was a major terrorist group
comprised of extremists. The Al Qaeda America s relationship with Al Qaeda has always been a
love hate affair. Depending on whether a particular Al Qaeda terrorist group in a given region
furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State Department either funds or aggressively targets
that terrorist group. Even as American foreign policymakers claim to oppose Muslim extremism,
they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy.

Vivian In Pretty Woman
In Garry Marshall s Pretty Woman, Vivian Ward s transformation from a red light district prostitute
to the perfect woman illustrates traits the movie argues make an ideal woman. The movie
highlights Vivian s acquisition of refined manners, taste, and outward appearance in addition to her
individuality and sense of priority to exemplify these traits as characteristic of the ideal woman. One
can see Vivian already has some traits that make her an ideal woman even before she meets Edward.
At the beginning of the movie, instead of partying and doing drugs with her roommate, Kit De
Luca, Vivian prioritizes paying the month s rent even though it is not even her apartment. Similarly,
in the penthouse bathroom, Edward catches Vivian with what he believes... Show more content on

After the opera, Vivian makes multiple small, yet noticeable decisions that reflect her new traits
nearly opposite of her former self. When Edward s lawyer, Philip, invites himself into the
penthouse and offers Vivian a drink, she politely declines. If one were to think back to the
beginning of the movie, when Edward first invites Vivian into the penthouse, she was more than
happy to have a drink, while Edward declined. Similarly, when Philip makes sexual advances on
her, Vivian refuses even if he were to pay her, while she was all too happy to sell her services out

A widely accepted Caucasian disease has since changed; as cases of its existence are appearing in the South Asian Population (Orenstein, Rosenstein and Stern, 2000). First discovered in 1989, Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetically predetermined condition, its presences is lifelong and highly complex, which is why many CF sufferers and families develop various mechanisms in order to adapt to the condition (Tippingemail, Scholes, Cox, 2010). Cystic Fibrosiscauses the body to develop thick, sticky mucus which clogs the lungs and affects other organs in the body, mainly the pancreas. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Discussions of such issues suggest that other external factors may be influencing the decisions and maintenance of many CF patients. For instance CF patients need to prioritise the way in which they self manage their treatment, this can be difficult when trying to balance family, work, education and other responsibilities and their levels of adherence may fluctuate (Sawicki, Sellers, Robinson, 2009). These fluctuations can be detrimental to their condition and may result in hospitalisation, causing additional disruptions in their daily life. However, engaging in so called normal activities might therefore also reinforce a sense of being healthy and having a nondifferent identity. Conquering a healthy balance is one which CF patients may need to adopt. One of the significant points from McCormick et al, (2005) research underlined the substantial clinical differences for females in comparison to males. The authors found that females had worst disease severity than males. Why might this difference be occurring? In 2009 Besier, Schmitz and Goldbeck, investigated the effects of relationship status on life satisfaction, as numerous findings suggest that despite the relationship status, many females CF patients still reported worse quality of life scores than males (Walters, Britton, Hodson, 1993). They believed if they did not sacrifice people the gods would get angry and the world would end. Other reasons to go to war were that they could expand their territory, and collect resources. The Aztec threw scattered wooden spears to disperse the enemy troops, come in and knock out the dispersed enemy warriors. The Spanish had a very different approach to war the Spanish tried to peacefully negotiate and discover the most powerful. When the Spanish found the strongest colony they would kidnap their leader and make him do their bidding, if the leader would not listen they would threaten to kill him. Persuasive Essay On Abolish Holidays Every year as Halloween comes to an end, the Christmas decorations start to appear in the stores, the commercials appear on the television, and the hussle and bussle slowly begins to happen. The same thing happens with Easter. As Valentine s Day comes to a close the Easter candy comes out, the decorations come out, and the Spring clothing ads appear. What really is all of this stuff besides just stuff? Does any of it mean anything? Stores are not bringing out nativity scenes and crucifixes; they are bringing out candies, christmastrees, Santas, easter eggs, and Easter Bunnies. These are all materialistic items. On the other hand, there are 17.4 million families that struggle to put food on the table and pay the bills (Malter). These parents do not want their children to feel left out next to the other kids whose parents make a lot of money. Parents who struggle have to find ways to make more money so their children can celebrate the holidays with gifts just like the rest of society. This is unfair to the 14% of families who feel they have to get their children gifts for these holidays because that is what is expected (Malter). If the holidays were celebrated the way they are supposed to be, which is just with the company of family and friends, these families would not have to worry about how they are going to make their children happy on Christmas or Easter. Wading birds breed and build their nests in close proximity to water, allowing them to have access to food while raising their young. In North America, the snowy egret s favorite habitats include salt marshes, shallow bays, and mangroves. Snowy egrets prefer similar habitats throughout South and Central America and the Caribbean (Weslosky, 2002). Such features are presumed to be desirable due to the protection they provide from predators on the ground (Frederick, 2002). Nests are often built using sticks, reeds, and other vegetation and constructed in trees, shrubs, or other aquatic vegetation (Elphick, 2014). A clutch consists of 3 5 eggs, a pale blue green in color, laid in a nest located in a bush or reedbed, specific to the species of egret (Bull Farrand, 1994). The Botany Of Desire By Michael Pollen The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollen uses examples of four plants including the apple ,tulip, marijuana, and the potato, to describe evolution and how mankind works to help plants reproduce. We are a slave to things of sweetness, beauty, intoxication, and control. These four things are described by the different plant chapters in the book. We as people are driven to these kind of things because of the product we get, we subconsciously are working to make these plants more fit and therefore helping in their reproduction and evolution. With each plant chapter Pollen goes into depth about its contribution to the world and history behind the plant within human evolution. By using the examples he provides in the book helps demonstrate the ideas of how these plants contribute to the human body systems, evolution and ecology. To further explain these topics I chose to explore the apple, tulip and cannabisplants. The consumption of the apple is involved in two different body systems: the digestive system and the nervous system. The digestive system has the function of getting nutrients into the body. • 20. The Impact Of The 20th Century On German Literature One of the few things that impacted literary movements in German literature in the 20th century was Expressionism and what the Germans refer to as Neue Sachlichkeit , which means new objectivity (Scherer, Conybeare MuМ€ller, 1906). However, historical events such as the first world war led to the division of the nation into west and east Germany. Therefore, the historical impact on literature differs in both sections. While the east reckoned with the teaching of Hungary philosopher Georg Lukacs, declaring themselves as the communist resistance of Nazism , which led to the birth of Socialist Realism (Bahr, Ryan, Jaeger, 2015), the political situation in the west paved the way for writers such as Bertolt Brecht, who through their work felt the need to fill the cultural vacuum created by the defeat of Nazism. The following essay will therefore discuss the impact of the 20th century on German speaking literature, after which it will analyse the responses of Bertolt Brecht and GГјnter Eich to the historical and political events. Bertolt Brecht in response to the first world war, which he experienced as a teenager wrote an essay to the phrase Dulce et decorum est pro patria morin , a poet by the Roman Horace, which almost ruined his pursuit for education at the time (Bertolt Brecht, 2017). • 22. The Gathering Place Case Running Head: Case Study #4 Case Study #4 Initial Thread Jean S. Hamby BUSI 561 Liberty University Introduction Betty Wilson has decided to open a coffee shop and is considering various options including franchising, sole proprietorship, joint venture, corporation and partnership. In addition to determining the best legal entity to form, Betty has to decide if she will employ or partner with various friends and family members. Finally, she plans to name the coffee shop The Gathering Place and must determine if the name is available and a good choice. This paper will evaluate the pros and cons of various business options, address the dilemma of whom to hire and determine if The Gathering Place is a viable option for the name ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another limitation is that a franchisee is typically operating a trademarked business so the opportunity to open a business under a name other than the franchise name is unlikely. For example, Betty would not be able to purchase a Starbucks franchise but operate it as Gathering Place . Business Formation Recommendation to Betty Based on the research of various business entities, the most viable option for Betty is to form a LLC. With a LLC she can limit her liability and choose to include a partner. It often takes years for new businesses to become thriving and profitable. A franchise could place Betty in a position where she is obligated to buy unneeded inventory, advertisement, etc. This type of financial obligation could limit the success of Betty s coffee shop. Staffing the Coffee Shop Betty has received support from her husband to pursue this entrepreneurial opportunity. There have also been friends and family who have expressed interest in potentially partnering with or working for Betty. In successful business partnerships, the business partners visions and belief systems align and are similar. If Betty wants a business partner, her husband, who is willing to provide financial support but not management oversight, is the best option. Betty will need help staffing the coffee shop and could consider hiring Alice and Erma as employees. She should be cautious with Alice whose husband has already indicated he does not support his wife working. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In my opinion, I think electronic voting is not a good idea. I do not trust electronic voting due to hacking problems, also because its very expensive as well and not everyone knows or can use an electronic device. One reason I believe electronic voting is not a good idea is because of hacking problems. I dont feel like its a secure way to vote. Just with basic electrical knowledge and tools someone can easily hack the system and tamper with the votes. For example: in my experience i knew someone that was very skilled in computers. This person easily showed me how he can use certain codes and hack into cameras from other places. That in fact scared me because he made it look so easy. In the final beat(s) of the bar, a descending chromatic four note pattern plays, beginning on the tonic note, and finishing a major third below (A major chordin Echoes, and a G flat major in Phantom)...The chords however are comparably far less audible due to the left hand accenting octaves of the root notes, and serve only as slight substance and not much audible difference (Alexondrovics, 2016. p. 5). Webber had lawyers who countered that any legal action would cost the plaintiff more than the royalties would bring in and were therefore not worth the trouble. Also, more popular artists of today are not the only ones Webber has been accused of stealing from. If a person is going to compose an operatic musical, they are going to need to understand opera a little better and perhaps search out some inspirations for it. This is the very system Webber had to use when composing for Phantom of the Opera. Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera is almost entirely similar to the song A Quello che tacete from Puccini s La Fanciulla del West or the English title, Girl of the Golden West. The incapability of institutions to solidify, which contributes the the lack of political stability, occurred from quick successions of government and constant reforms within the political structure (Weeks, 2015). But regardless of Perus record of political instability, steps have been taken in the recent years to consolidate its democracy and reach for economic policies that are market friendly. Although Peru is a developing country, it has a high human development index that has been strengthening over the years. Unfortunately This was not enough, and his inexperience on the finer points of outdoor living and general knowledge of particular subjects proved to create more challenges, and finally this inexperience killed him. Despite these biting words, the Court ruled that political cartoons are essential tools in a democracy. Political cartoons are inherently controversial, as they seek to mock both the legal and governmental process. • 46. Bed Sores Case Study Patients should also be engaged in exercises in order to reduce weight. Overweight and obese patients pose a huge problem in management of bed sores. They are rigid, immobile and very inactive. The suggested exercises are advised to be considered for reduction of weight, increasing flexibility of joints, promote blood flow as well as strengthening of muscles and bones. These exercises should be supplemented with proper feeding, repositioning as well as other methods used to reduce pressure sores. This was compared to the normal ICU beds, which are noted to propagate formation of bed sores. Other types of weight pressure distribution tools include beds that are air fluidized, turning beds, beds with lower air loss, water filled beds, fiber filled beds, silicone filled beds as well as bead filled beds. Repositioning Repositioning of patients prone to pressure sores refers to turning these patients in order to promote aeration and prevent excessive pressure being exerted on one body part for a long time. Research has demonstrated that turning of these patients every 4 hours with foam mattresses developed from visco elastic polyurethane has superiority in outcome compared with lack of turning of these patients. The same research indicated that turning these patients every 4 hours has better outcome in reducing risk of grade 1 and grade 2 bed sores than turning them once daily on the same foam mattresses. This 4 hour turning schedule also has been shown to have little significant results compared a 2 hour turning schedule on the foam mattresses made of visco elastic polyurethane (Vanderwee, Grypdonck, De, Defloor, 2007). Nursing interventions in repositioning of these bedridden patients include occasional turning of these patients from one side to the next. The basis for this is to facilitate air circulation and relieving body ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Difference Between Sleep Drive And The Circadian Alerting... Sleep is a complex phenomenon, best understood as the product of two intertwined biological systems : the sleep drive and the circadian alerting system. The sleep drive is our biological need for sleep. The sleep drive can be thought of as a tank that empties and fills throughout the course of a day, like the gas tank in a car. When you sleep at night, the tank is filled with sleep. You awaken in the morning, refueled and ready to drive through the day. The longer you drive through the day, the more the tank depletes. By bedtime, the tank is on E ; it is empty and you must sleep to replenish it. The sleep drive forces sleep, so that your tank can be refilled, and your biological sleep need is met. While the United States was interfering with other nations it resulted with the States not paying much attention to the Middle East causing a breeding ground for terrorists due to the pre existential hatred these countries had toward westerners, and directly as a result countries all around the world are experiencing mass murder terrorist attacks such as the 9 11 attacks which is when nineteen members of the Islamic terrorist group Al Qaeda perpetrated a devastating, deadly assault on the United States, crashing airplanes into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center, killing thousands. These attacks were done by the Al Qaeda which was a major terrorist group comprised of extremists. The Al Qaeda America s relationship with Al Qaeda has always been a love hate affair. Depending on whether a particular Al Qaeda terrorist group in a given region furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State Department either funds or aggressively targets that terrorist group. Even as American foreign policymakers claim to oppose Muslim extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
