The Window Homecoming
I used Homecoming in The Window as a model to write my poem. Upon first reading this poem, I was
struck by a scene: a woman is walking on a white gravel lane, beneath the cathedral arch of walnut
trees. Then I read it again and tried to figure out the story behind this scene. From the first and second
stanzas of this poem, it seems that this woman has been caught up in some scandals and she tries to
come back home to escape from her current situation. It is apparent that she is estranged from her
family: there would be nothing to tell them... They hadn t already been told. The description of the
woman s home in the third stanza shows that her family is not poor. The use of the phrase main house
even indicates that her family is rich enough

The movie We Are Marshall is a movie about football. The movie isn t just a normal football movie. It
s a movie that shows how a town and a college rebuilds after the tragedy that they went through. The
town of Huntington, West Virginia and Marshall University went through the tragedy of a plane crash
that killed seventy five people, including football players, coaches, fans, boosters, mothers, fathers,
doctors, lawyers and even governors. From this experience people had a choice to rebuild or continue
to mourn their loved ones. Nate Ruffin, Donald Dedmon and Coach Jack Lengyel chose to rebuild
through ways of leadership, optimism and morals. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They recruit guys from soccer, basketball, a farm and even other football teams to come and play for
them. Lengyel has a new vision for Marshall, and calls them the Young Thundering Herd. Jack is the
person to do things that most coaches wouldn t do because that just in his personality. As a result he
seeks out help from Bobby Bowden, the coach of the University of West Virginia. Jack asks him if He
and Dawson can see the coaches videos, plays, and handbooks and even if he had any tips for them.
Bowden laughs at first and asks if Jack was serious... He then see that the men are serious and allows
them to view the tapes, rules, handbooks and anything else they wanted. He does this because Bowden
understands that a team is in grief and confusion. When this happens Dawson s disbelief that he had
about the team and Jack trying to help changes and he becomes a little bit more optimistic about the
future of Marshall and the town.
Jack not only changes the people around him and makes them see that there is a brighter day, but he
also rebuilds their morals and confidence. He does this in various scenes of the movie. For instance,
when Jack asked Dedmon to challenge the NCAA and all Dedmon was getting back was rejection
letters. Jack asked him if he was

In the 1980s, some enclosed malls were remodelled into open air shopping centres. By the mid 1990s,
Malls were still being constructed at a rate of 140 a year. The trend was to build enclosed malls and to
renovate older outdoor malls into enclosed ones. Such malls had advantages, including temperature
control. But by the end of 1990 s the trend took a sharp turn and it was again fashionable to build open
air malls. Finally by 2001, a PricewaterhouseCoopers study found that underperforming and vacant
malls were an emerging problem.
According to new trends, the outdoor outlet malls or big box shopping areas known as power centres
are now favoured, although the traditional enclosed shopping mall is still in demand by those seeking
weather protected, all under one roof shopping. High land prices in populated cities have led to the
concept of the vertical mall, in which space allocated to retail is configured over a number of stories
accessible by elevators and/or escalators (usually both) linking the different levels of the mall.
The major challenge was to encourage the shopper to move upwards downwards, different from the
traditional tendency of moving horizontally. Vertical malls are common in densely populated
conurbations such as Hong Kong and Bangkok. Ex Times Square in Hong Kong.
Mall culture in the United States was coming to an end as the U.S. economic

Sex Offenders In Australia Essay
The rate of registered sexual offenders in Australia and internationally has been frequently increasing
over time. Within Victoria, as of December 2011, 4165 offenders had been registered and it is
estimated that by the year 2020, there will be 10,000 registrations by then (Victorian Law Reform
Commission, 2012). Within Australia today there are only a few states which have an established
registry such as Western Australia and The Northern Territory. Other states within Australia such as
New South Wales have indicated that they have been working to establish a registry. Having a sex
offender registry is extremely crucial and beneficial to people in the community as it enables them to
feel protected and constantly informed of the whereabouts of sex offenders within their community.
Community s response to official Sex Offender registers In December 2012 the Western Australian
Legislative Assembly passed the Community Protection Amendment Bill. This bill introduced an
online sex offender register open to the community. The website posts the names and photographs of
the state s most dangerous, recidivist sex offenders (Hinch, 2012). The main ... Show more content on

Genetically Modified Organisms Is Bad Essay
Genetically Modified Organisms A GMO (genetically modified organism) is an organism, such as a
plant, animal or bacterium, which has had its genetic material altered. The first genetically modified
DNA organism was created in 1974 by Stanley Cohen, Annie Chang and Herbert Boyer. Eight years
later, the first transgenic plant was produced. In 2015, over 90 percent of soy, cotton, canola, corn, and
sugar beets sold in the North America have been genetically engineered. Currently, the use of
genetically modified ingredients is legal in Canada. There is no law that requires products containing
genetically modified organisms to be labelled and disclosed to customers. Due to its negative health
effects, environmental impact, and infringement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, genetically modified seeds permanently contaminate the environment through cross
pollination. It is the nature of plants to cross pollinate and spread their genes, but this means the
harmful genes of genetically modified organisms are also being spread. Even organic food cannot be
deemed 100% free of genetically modified organisms, because they are potentially contaminated.
GMOs are essentially contagious but we are unable to quarantine them. This makes it difficult to
avoid GMOs by means of an organic diet, and increases the need for labelling. Also, genetically
modified seeds do not increase crop yields. Contrary to the belief of many Canadians, they instead
work against ending world hunger. The International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science
and Technology for Development report stated that GMO crop yields were highly variable and in
some cases, yields declined. Whereas sustainable non GMO agricultural methods used in developing
countries have conclusively resulted in yield increases of 79% and higher. (IAASTD, 2009, p.8)

The Challenges In The Novel Gifted Hands
In the novel, Gifted Hands , the character Ben, the author, faced many challenges. One of them being
the leaving of his father when he was 8 years old. The other one, his horrible temper, the ending of the
first semester at Yale final exams, where he just wanted to give up and didn t believe in himself, and
the final and hardest one, the separation of the twins. There were many other challenges Ben went
through all of his life, but I believe these were some of the main ones that changed him, made him
think differently, and gave him more knowledge. Even though he went through all these challenges
and tough times, he managed to overcome them. Ben never gave up no matter what he was facing.
The first challenge that Ben faced was the leaving of his father when he was 8. Ben was really close to
him, many afternoons he will look at the clock and wait to see his father, I d rush outside to wait for
him. I d watch until I saw him walking down our alley, Daddy! Daddy! I d yell , Pg 10 Carson. When
his mother told him that his father wasn t coming back, Those words broke my heart , Carson. Ben
was really sad and questioning. Even though he was broken, he figured out that it was better without
his father, No more silence, no more fear why my parents wouldn t talk Pg 12 Carson. He later on
learned how to handle deep hurt by forgetting, And not knowing the recollection beyond his mitial

It s All About the Literature As with any area in curriculum and instruction, teachers should not be
fully dependent on one source, but rather use a variety of resources to help students understand

to expand vocabulary, clarify concepts, explore real world situations, and entertain (GCU, 2012).

The Girl I Know At School
There s this girl I know at school, Lindsey, we weren t exactly friends, although, we did socialize quite

which I found weird and sad because she s really cool, high spirited, pretty and really, just an amazing
person in general. Today, though, was the day I got to see a different side of her, the side that she had
never shown anyone. Today at lunch she didn t eat with her friends unlike usual and she ate very little.

Poverty In The United States
Within not only our own country, but throughout the entire world, there is poverty. It is pretty much a
fact of life, and the current way the U.S. government is attempting to resolve the problem is not the
correct way. We are trying to fix a long term problem with a short term solution. Instead of welfare,
there are much better ways to solve the problem of poverty.
If you are not familiar with how welfare works, you are given a set amount of money each month and
you are expected to spend it a certain way. As long as you are satisfying certain requirements such as
applying for an amount of jobs each month or spending the money properly, you obtain the money.
The unfortunate part is that there is an income bracket that dictates whether or not you qualify for
welfare. Once you acquire a job that pays enough, most of the welfare money is taken away. This
centivises not earning a job and living off of welfare, which generates a debt ceiling that makes it very
difficult for people to escape from. Most people who happen to be in this situation either do not have
the means or the motivation to get out of the rutt and live their entire lives in poverty. ... Show more

Universal Basic Income. UBI is a principle that, in theory, works quite well. In its most basic form, it
ensures that every single person, no matter what, gets an amount of money every month, which is
preferably enough to remain above the poverty line. This allows people to have something to fall back
on, and it essentially creates a financial floor rather than a ceiling, which lets people always go up and
not get stuck with their income. You may be wondering why people would even be willing to work if
they get enough money to live comfortably. The answer to that would be human motivation. The only
way to get a higher standard of living or to do fun things or go out or eat what you want or anything of
the sort is if you have money, and the best way to get money is to work as hard as you

The Indian Lotus ( Nelumbo Nucifera ) Via The Floating...
Internal Investigation: Exploration Juan Garcia 11/17/15 Period 2 Problem/Question What is the effect
of varying pH solutions on the rate of photosynthesis on the Indian Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) via The
Floating Leaf Disc Assay? Background The Indian Lotus is an aquatic plant that is quite popular
among cultures as being sacred. It is often used to portray beauty as it grows from the mud unstained
and pure. It is also used today in many Asian foods. As such the growth of the Indian Lotus is one that
is very important to many cultures and societies. Knowledge of the optimum pH in which the Indian
Lotus grows can be significant due to how the pH of the environment the Indian Lotus grows in can
vary based upon pollution and other factors. Therefore in the event of high pollution, or any situation
that changes the pH of the environment botanists may be able to predict or decipher the effect of that
change on the growth of the plants in the area, specifically the Indian Lotus. The experiment can also
conclude the extent that pH affects Indian Lotus growth. It may conclude that varying pH has a slight
effect on Indian Lotus growth or even the ability to stop it from undergoing photosynthesis completely
and kill the organism. The experiment is important in general to find how pH can affect Indian Lotus
growth which can in turn affect other aspects such as the diet of locals or lead to even a decrease in
Indian Lotus which is culturally significant to cultures and religions.

Stress Inoculation
Stress Stress is the wear and tear our bodies experience as we adjust to our continual changing
environment; it has physical and emotional effects on us and can create negative feelings. As a
positive influence, stress can help compel us to action; result in a new awareness and an exciting new
perspective. As a negative influence stress can result in feelings of distrust, rejection anger, and
depression, which in turn can cause health problems such as headaches, upset stomach, rashes,
insomnia, ulcers, high pressure, heart disease, and stroke. (Koop,1998). The long term effects of stress
on one s health are quite significant. The American Academy of Family Physicians has said that two

Mechanisms that explain why students perform badly under stress include hypervigilance (excessive
alertness to a stressful situation resulting in panic for example, overstudying for an exam) and
premature closure (quickly choosing a solution to end a stressful situation for example, rushing
through an exam). (Falk,1995). Students react to college in a variety of ways. For some students,
college is stressful because it is an abrupt change from high school. For others, separation from home
is a source of stress. Although some stress is necessary for personal growth to occur, the amount of
stress can overwhelm students and affect the ability to cope. Since World War II, changes in American
higher education includes growth has been a loss of personal attention to students. One measure of
excessive stress, or distress, in college students is the use of mental health services. Symptoms
commonly report by campus psychiatrists portray a general picture of school related stress, for
example, the inability to do school work and the fear of academic failure. One way for teachers to
promote more of a healthy learning environment is to reduce stress among students. Studies of
teachings that produces the most learning suggest that effective teachers use an analytical and
synthetic approach to the subject matter, organize the material well to make it clear, and establish
rapport with their students. Most

memory is the memory of a traumatic event unconsciously retained in the mind, where it is said to

Rhy Lofgren Research Papers
A Survivor Private George Washington Elmer Lofgren served as an infantryman in Company E, 117th
Regiment, 30th Division of the American Expeditionary Forces. He went into action on September 20,
1918 on the Somme Front in the Battle of the Hindenburg Line.9 As significant reinforcements from
the United States reached Europe; they joined the Allies 1918 offensive. By the time Elmer arrived on
the battlefield, the Allies had already pushed the Germans back to their last stronghold, the Siegfried
Stellung, which the Allies called the Hindenburg Line.10 The fresh troops from America joined the
attack on these fortifications and sustained extremely high casualty rates as they crossed no man s land
through devastating machine gun and small arms fire. Elmer, however, survived the slaughter. Elmer s
son and daughter in law, Lyle and Elizabeth Liz Lofgren, have an extensive website where I found a
section in which Elmer relates an account of his experiences on the battlefield. A brief excerpt follows.
The reported 7.1 percent casualty rate of the United States military forces mobilized for the Great War
pales by comparison to the death and suffering witnessed by Elmer.12 Almost 89 percent of the men
with whom Elmer served, either lost their lives or sustained wounds that left them incapable of

The Five Social Classes In The United States
America has five social classes. The Upper Class is made up of wealth, and in most cases is inherited
wealth that has been passed down from generation to generation. Individuals have little control over
this class as many are born into the circumstance. The Upper Class participate in politics and
economic environments. Not all Upper Class is old money, there are also those individuals that have
made money as entrepreneurs. The next social class is the Upper Middle Class. These individuals are
at the top of management level in organizations, educated and have families. Many Upper Middle
class are two income families. (Tischler, pg 182) Education plays a key role in the success of the

The Uglie Critical Analysis
According to Merriam Webster dictionary, the word realization is defined as, an act of becoming fully
aware of something as a fact. Being able to realize the ultimate desires and goals in life is apart of
each of the texts. In the book The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, the story shows characters realizing
objectives through point of view when Tally Youngblood is faced with the truth about getting an
operation to become pretty. Likewise, in The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri, the
message of realization is developed through symbolism of the narrator s experience in a new world.
The theme as shown in The Art of Resilience by Hara Estroff Marano is expressed through conflict.
The use of point of view, symbolism and conflict create the theme, a person must become self aware
to realize their goals, in the texts The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, The Third and Final Continent by
Jhumpa Lahiri, and The Art of Resilience by Hara Estroff Marano. In The Uglies, the lesson of
becoming self aware is communicated through the main character, Tally Youngblood s, point of view.
At first, Tally Youngblood longs to receive an operation to turn herself pretty after being viewed as

A couple of weeks ago founder of Bad Boy Records Puff Daddy posted a couple of videos of rappers
such as Fabolous, Pusha T, Jadakiss, TIP, more spitting some classic verses of his late friend hip hop
legend The Notorious B.I.G. on Instagram in memory of his passing on March 9th, 1997. Seeing those
videos was just another reminder of why one of Brooklyn s finest finds his way into a plethora of Top

Philip Freneau And Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Summary
Life was a prominent subject in nineteenth century literature. Poems, books, and even everyday
conversations contemplated the topic. From exploring its meaning, its purpose, and its impact,
individuals were obsessed with it. Two such pundits were Philip Freneau and Henry Wadsworth
Longfellow. They accepted the challenge and broached the subject of life in their poetry. Their
perspectives, however, were anything but concurrent. By focusing on Freneau s The Wild Honey
Suckle and Longfellow s A Psalm of Life the authors contrasting views become exceptionally clear.
While one valued humility and acknowledgment of human fragility, the other sought to spark ambition
and enliven a sense of dutiful perseverance. Paying close attention to the time frame in which each
author wrote is also significant in identifying the reason behind such differing perspectives. Not only
does the era play a part, but also each writer s personal beliefs and values. Freneau was extremely
realistic and literal; Longfellow was optimistic and indicative. Taking an in depth look at each author
respectively and analyzing their contrasting opinions as well as their reasoning facilitates a deeper
understanding of not only the writers but the works themselves. If one thing is agreed upon, it s that
life truly is short; however, its purpose is entirely subject to opinion. Philip Freneau possesses a very
stark view on man s existence, harping upon the insignificance of human life in his poem, The Wild
Honey

Corporate Social Responsibility As Risk Management
In the interviews with the five managers, the research found three made reasons being posited for
engaging in CSR. These are similar to what Kytle Ruggie (2005) indicates in his study. The three
reasons are discussed below:
Philanthropy
The structured interview session revealed that majority of the managers (5) prefer philanthropy as a
direct and least involving CSR strategy. These managers admitted that they channel their financial
contribution to various governmental or non governmental organizations that act as implementing
agencies of various programs in the society. This support model is the most preferable CSR concept as
compared to other CSR strategies that have been discussed in this paper. This has been confirmed by

respondents equally mentioned that they intend to be involved in supporting churches and other social

The researcher also had discussions with the interviewees regarding the benefits that these CSR
activities have brought to the organization. It was established that many organizations have a CSR
Policy, which defines areas of concern and initiatives to improve relations with the people and
environments affected by business operations (Bell, 2016). The interviewees agreed however that CSR
is about more than environmental responsibility or having a recycling policy. Its initiatives take
organizations beyond compliance with legislation and leads them to honor ethical values, respect
people, communities and the natural environment. But most of all CSR is sustainable involving
activities that their organization can maintain without adversely affecting the business goals. Few
benefits mentioned were;
1. Win new business
2. Increase customer retention
3. Develop and enhance relationships with customers, suppliers and networks
4. Save money on energy and operating costs and manage risk
5. Differentiate company from competitors
6. Improve the business reputation and standing

Cause Of The English Revolution
In 17th century, series of rebellions and civil wars occurred, known famously as the English
Revolution. These events occurred primarily as the result of a power struggle between Parliament and
the king. The revolutions served to decide how the power would be distributed in the English
government. The events that led up to the English Revolution began largely after the death of Queen
Elizabeth I, marking the end of the Tudor dynasty in 1603. James I was crowned king, and the Stuart
dynasty began. James, unlike his predecessor, believed in divine right of kings, a concept that said
kings were chosen for the position by God and were all powerful. This is a concept opposite to that of
popular sovereignty, in which the power of government was given and sustained by the people, rather
than god. This created a rift ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dissension among Parliament and the people of England was increased by the fact that James was
strongly devoted to the Church of England, which displeased the Puritans, who wished to make the
church more Protestant. Because the lower house of Parliament was composed primarily of Puritans,
the new king was not popular with most of the members of Parliament. At one point, Parliament
passed a law stating that citizens could not be taxed without Parliament s permission, which limited
the king s power. James, who believed in the divine right of kings, was displeased by this. He believed
that, as a man chosen by god to be a supreme ruler, he should not follow laws, and did not believe in
the concept of constitutionalism. Constitutionalism is a concept that says all rulers must obey laws,
regardless of standing. Henry I, son of James, further displeased the Puritans by attempting to force
ritual on the Church of England, making it seem more Catholic. The Puritans believed Henry to be an
enemy of liberty, particularly religious liberty, as he was trying to take away their religious

autonomous stage, is characterised by performances that are automatic and occur without thinking.

By including drills to the practice, I can practice the bomb, kicker, slider and body serves by placing
markers in the service box for each separate serve. After serving for 30 minutes I can do some
smashes for a while. After a big serve, sometimes the opponent pops the ball in the air giving him time
for his next shot but the server may come to net for a smash. A smash is usually hit, with extreme
power leaving the returning player no chance to remain in the point. (Optimum Tennis, 2015)
Therefore having a smash at the ready to finish a point is very valuable for a player. Practicing well is
very important to an athlete so by continuously serving I can make minor adjustments to my serve if it
goes out or feels wrong. By setting up targets; markers or cones. This allows me to improve accuracy
and thought processing during a game. I personally prefer to visualise and then attempt the task.
Strength conditioning is important; going to the gym can help with, ball control can be improved, and,

He honored his female family members, and told their stories through characters based on them. By
evoking pitiful feelings from the audience, Williams enlightens the audience about feminist issues in
his society. The women in the plays are driven by a desire they are either unwilling or unable to
achieve. This presents the idea that the male characters in the plays are in control of the female
characters happiness. When Tom and his father abandon Laura and Amanda in The Glass Menagerie,
it is assumed that they are helpless without him. In A Streetcar Named Desire, Stanley manipulates
Stella into sending Blanche to an insane asylum, and Stella complies because she is under the spell of
his attractiveness. Lastly, in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Maggie is unable to build a new, happier life for
herself because Brick is subconsciously holding onto her heart. While the women are from three
different plays, they all hold one similarity; they are driven by the childish mindset that if they stay
under the man s control, they will eventually achieve their desires. Amanda, Laura, Maggie, Stella,
and Blanche had qualities that may have repelled the audience, yet he gave them pitiful characteristics

What Are The Five Major Models Of Organizations That...
Individuals are all different but they all share similar characteristics. It comes within the leader to
recognize the differences and similarities. Leaders have to analyze and comprehend the employees so
that workers perform a better outcome. Organizations need a mission to look forward; this objective
should be shared or compatible with employees so that outcomes are better and more effective. There
are five major models of organization that characterized employees. These models are Autocratic
model, Custodial model, Supportive model, collegial model, and the System model Employers have to
know when and why they should apply each model, and if to even apply them at all. The working
environment is an enormous and crucial component that influences employees performance. Leaders
have to know how and when to motivate the individuals. They have to understand that workers have
to motivate to work, nevertheless they still have to be focused toward the organization s mission.
Organizations are very complex but simple at the same time. An organization is a group of people that

How Do Robots Change The World
Technology has advanced and changed over time and now today, of course, it would make sense to
talk about how robots may be able to change the world. We already have phones and tablets that have
built in intelligent personal assistants (Apples Siri, Google Alexa, etc.) that can just about do anything
you ask it to do on your device. Cars are driving themselves, imagine your favorite pizza being
delivered robotically, the robotic era is on the way. And I m sure we as humans will figure out a way
to adapt. American inventor George Devol created the first industrial robot in 1961, the 4000 pound
robotic arm transported die castings from an assembly line and welded these parts on auto bodies, a
dangerous task for workers, who could be poisoned by exhaust gas or lose a limb if they were not
careful. (Norman) 56 years later imagine how much more a robot can do with the technology we have
now today. Kevin Kelly argues that [w]e need to let robots take over because they will help us
discover new jobs for ourselves, new tasks that expand who we are. I trust him to some extent. there s
an occasion that robots will facilitate produce additional jobs, however before robots are able to
produce additional jobs they might be so taking the roles that we tend as humans currently have
nowadays like body jobs, and retail. The question is however long can it take United States as humans
to adapt, can the govt notice the way to help the living things of individuals whose jobs were

The Globalization Of A Multinational Corporation
A Multinational corporation is a corporation that does business in two or more countries. It has its
home base in its own country, but has branches or subsidiaries in other countries. Their home base is
the company s identity. For example Toyota is Japanese even though it operates in the United States.
With modern technology and improvement in communications, transportation and infrastructure,
corporations are venturing beyond national boundaries in the pursuit of business opportunities. Their
size provides them the opportunity to achieve markets and increase their scale in manufacturing and
development outside their local market. In other words, multinational companies are going global.

Managerial Styles and Culture Shock: Difference between Japan and United States
The Japanese managerial styles go as far back as Empiricism. Japanese live to work for their
company. Japanese are loyal to the company first whereas the Americans are loyal to self. Japanese
management sees employees as their most important resources and are required to contribute ideas to
improve the corporation; whereas Americans see employees as expendable. Japanese management
sees the company as one group and the whole group must succeed. Decision making in Japan is a long
process, in many stages to minimize errors and bring consistency but once a decision is made,
everybody is on the same page. In the United States management makes quicker decisions that
sometimes can lead to short sightedness. It is probably because the Japanese are all one culture and
Americans come from a variety of backgrounds. The Japanese management believe in continuous

Haiti Surviving after the Earthquake
The effects caused by the earthquakes are devastating. It causes losses of human life and has effects on
the infrastructure and economy. Earthquakes can happen at any time anywhere. In January 12, 2010 an
earthquake of a magnitude of 7.0 hit the nation of Haiti. An estimation of 316,000 people was killed
and more than 1.3 million of Haitians were left homeless (Earthquake Information for 2010). Haiti
was lead in a terrified chaos. After the earthquake, families were separated because many of the
members were killed. The homes, schools, and hospitals were demolished. People loss their most
value belongings. It would take time to the country to recover from this terrible disaster. The long
terms are environmental, health, and economic issues that effect in the beautiful island of Haiti.
Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the Americas. Agriculture is one of the incomes of the
population. However, everything changes after the 2010 earthquake. The losses caused by the quake
were approximately in $8 billons and $14 billons. Joblessness and the lack of food, and clean water
further affect the economy because people chose to immigrate to other places for work such as
Dominican Republic (Haiti earthquake). Furthermore, Haiti was a Republic of non governmental
organization to become a Republic of unemployment, and in order to accomplish an economical
growth Haiti needs the investment of companies that can invest in the country to help many of the
people to have a job.

An Analysis Of The Banjo By Louis Gottschalk
To recover from the storm, I select The Banjo by Louis Gottschalk as my next piece. In contrast to the
fierce thunderstorm in Moonlight s third movement, Banjo is full of cheerful and light hearted
melodies. As if a sunshower, the music refreshes our mind and energizes our spirit.
Staccato, one of the most remarkable characteristics in this piece, brings energy to the entire music. In
the subject line of the A section (this piece has a five part A B A B A form), the melody of the left hand
purely consists of staccatos whose short, bouncing feature opens up a dynamic theme., This dynamic
is further expressed as the piece enters B section, since the high pitched notes have more
distinguishable sounds and a more rapid speed. This movement then culminates at five major chords
whose high pitch and strong, sharp volume produce an extraordinarily penetrating sound. All these
movements delineates a playful scene of rain dancing at every corner of the world: on a roof, a stream,
an umbrella, a petal of flower, etc. By reflecting sunlight, every drop of rain looks like a shining
crystal that illuminates the surroundings and illuminates our heart.
Another interesting point of this piece is the use of an old music, Capetown Races. Capetown Races
resembles the tune of nursery rhymes and introduces an innocent, childlike sense. In The Banjo, the
main melody of the old song comes from the right hand region and are expressed through octave
chords. As the main melody repeats, the notes

I Too And Caged Bird Comparison
I, Too and Caged Bird , two amazing poems by two amazing authors, both share a theme of hope for
freedom. In Caged Bird by Maya Angelou, she writes about two birds. One being able to fly freely and
another stuck in a cage unable to do what it wants. Even with his wings clipped and feet tied, the
caged bird still sings of freedom. I, Too by Langston Hughes is very similar. In this poem a boy, the
darker brother, is always sent to the kitchen to eat when company arrives. Even though he is
constantly being hidden, the boy knows that by doing so he will grow strong, become beautiful and
they will be ashamed for sending him away. Obviously, the free bird is blessed with freedom but the
caged bird and the boy both can only sing of it. Imagery

Essay Comparison of Three First World War Poems
Comparison of Three First World War Poems
The three poems that I will be studying in this essay are Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen,
Comrades: An Episode by Robert Nichols and Who s For The Game? by Jessie Pope. These poems are
about the First World War and two of them seem to have a negative attitude criticising and
downgrading the so called spectacular experience of the First World War. In Dulce Et Decorum Est
Wilfred Owen seems to mention good aspects of the War but compares them to low class tragic
events. In Comrades: An Episode Robert Nichols describes the event of a soldier being badly injured
and eventually dying. It describes what the corporals and soldiers did and how ... Show more content

In the second poem, Comrades: An Episode the same picture comes to mind by using different
techniques. The poem is written in the style of a story, which gives the writer more opportunity to
include descriptions and details. In this poem the narrator is the leader of a group of men and he
mentions names and, as he knows his men so well, he can create and describe vivid pictures of them,
such as Not to see them: Wilkinson, Stubby, Grim. Other ways he describes his men is by the speech
they use regularly. Who s For the Game? shows the thoughts that Jessie Pope has towards the war; she
views the war as very straight forward and simple; join the army, fight, win, then go home. There is
some reality points in the text even though they are understated, such as;
It won t be a picnic not much ,
and
Come back with a crutch .
This second quote is very misleading, Pope is saying that a crutch is the about the worst thing that
could happen when over a million Englishmen died fighting for their country. She uses metaphors in
her poem including the title of the poem. In the title Who s For The Game? was has been compared to
an enjoyable experience making the war seem less scary, and making people become more eager to
go.

The Plan For Public Health And Safety
The next component of the General Plan is the plan for public health and safety which addresses
issues of: Geology and Seismicity, Flooding and Drainage, Noise, Air Installation Land Use
Compatibility, Hazardous Materials, Crime Prevention and Protection Services, Fire Prevention and
Suppression Services, Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Medical Facilities. The issue of geology and
seismicity is important to the Lancaster area at large due to its location being less than ten miles south
of the San Andreas Fault. Major earthquakes in the area present a problem for citizen s safety and
possible property damage. A similar issue is that of flooding and drainage. Because Lancaster exists
within a valley and is relatively flat, the area is prone to flooding. One of the current propositions is to
include flood water basins. The water basins to mitigate for the 100 year flood are essentially large
ditches on the corner of neighborhood streets. When a water basin sits in the middle of a
neighborhood it is not a functional part of the surrounding environment and can become an eyesore in
a community. This probably causes the NIMBY ism around water basins, no matter how beneficial
they may be. Noise is a very prevalent issue in Lancaster, due to the amount of aeronautical activity
conducted on EAFB. The City has rezoned the flight area in order to decrease the amount of overhead
flights in the urbanized areas. This plan is mimicked in the Air Installation Land Use Compatibility
portion.

The Text Euthyphro By Plato
Jeanelle Moncrieffe
Dr. Cicura
Philosophy 2010
27 September 2017 The text Euthyphro by Plato is concisely a dialogue between Socrates and
Euthyphro. Socrates confronts Euthyphro when he argues The point which I should first wish to
understand is whether the pious or holy is blocked by the gods because it is holy, or because it is
blocked by the gods (cf. pg. 31); 10a. This refers back to the Devine Command Theory and civil
religion. Civil Religion is defined as a mixture between religion and cultural relativism. Civil Religion
is an alternative version of the Divine Command Theory that declares that God s stipulations
correspond to an individual culture. The Devine command theory is defined as an action being morally

Overall, Plato is saying that the action being holy and the action being divinely approved does not
have to be equal, however if they are equivalent, then they don t have to acquire an equal meaning.
Therefore, Euthyphro cannot state that what is holy and was approved by the gods does not mean the
same thing. In like manner, his argument pushes the concept of morality. One might say that what is
good is good because God says it s good. This raises the question asked by many philosophers does
God love the good because it is good, or is it good because God loves it? The simple answer is God
loves goodness because he is good therefore he commands goodness. All what is considered righteous
to God may be found in the Bible. The word of the Bible reveals what God expects from his people. It
reveals what is good in his eyes and what is considered evil. The words of the Bible portray the path
of which should be followed. It shows the path of righteousness where one may follow to be like God.
Man was created in the image of God; therefore, man was created to acquire his character. For those
reasons, God loves what is good because it is good and he is good. There are different standards for
judging the morality of something. An action is considered holy, moral or good because God loves it.
Therefore, we can assume that morality is dependent on God s will or

Sedimentary Rocks
1. Sedimentary rocks are made from different pieces of rocks and sediments. This happened through
the process of erosion and weathering. Every now and then animals get buried under sediments and
formed with the rock. As the tissues decay, the bone stay preserved in the rock because of the carbon
that release from the corpse. Sedimentary rocks can tell scientists about the fossil s habitat by the size
and formation of the rock. For example, one direction ripple marks indicate that the rock formed under
a river while ripple marks that move back and forth indicate the rock is formed in an ocean. If a fossil
is found in a rock that has one direction ripple marks it is most likely that the animal might have once
lived in a river. 2. Complete skeletons

Understanding Piaget Theory And Information Processing Theory
The study of Cognitive theories has many different aspects that have been debated many years ago.
Developmental psychologists try to explain cognitive development approaches which describe the
process of human s thought. One of the developmental psychologist who studied on the area of
cognitive was Jean Piaget. Jean Piaget a Swiss psychologist was the first developmental researcher
who has extensive research on cognitive development. In addition, the revolution of Jean Piaget s
cognitive theory has changed the development psychology forever. In fact, although this theory is one
of the most influential theories that have had a major impact on child s cognitive development, many
developmental psychologist has been criticized it as well(Miller,2007). Therefore, the limitations of
this theory made the developmental psychologists thinking of information processing theory might
complete Piaget s Theory(Miller,2007). Information processing theory is another theory that was
engaged in the era of cognitive development. It is possible to better understand Piaget theory and
Information Processing theory by comparing several important aspects of developmental psychology:
nature of humans, quantitative or qualitative, and nature or nurture.
Piaget Cognitive Theory
To begin with, Piaget s cognitive theory has four stages. According to Miller,2011 she states that
Piaget described each stage and referred them to the ability of human understanding. First stage is the

(Bramley, 1994). As Andrew Stonell (2010) stated Localism works all over the country there are
villages very keen to have low cost housing for local people and they are prevented by the planning
system from having it. This briefing paper refutes Stonell s claim and is written to the North Eastern
Farming and Rural Advisory Network, which is one of new Rural and Farming Networks. The
purpose of this paper is indicating the scale and causes of the rural housing crisis, and demonstrating
how the planning system enable the process of affordable rural housing, then ... Show more content on

Instead of Right to buy regulation, affordable rented housing will be provided to tenants with a
maximum of 80% of the total market rent, and available on both fixed term and regular lease (PPS3,
2011). Affordable rent houses will be let by registered providers and the increase of low cost rent
houses would provide decent homes to low income residents and rural people from other villages. To
meet the demand of sustainable development in rural areas, PPS7 required government should follow
the planning objectives and regulations set out in PPG3, and the purpose is to provide rural people a
decent home. It also indicated that housing requirements and assessment of local affordable housing
need should be recognized by local planning authorities. Make sufficient land available and strictly
control new house building will promote the construction of low cost houses and make good use of the
land.
Milbourne (2008) also highlighted that tracing the cooperation with new partnership will lead a wider
series of agencies to afford suitable housing in the countryside. PPS3 (2006) indicated that local
authorities are not supposed to formulate affordable housing providers in planning conditions and
obligations, a discussion will be needed on how to provide affordable housing and long term
arrangement. This planning system will control the housing prices and conditions, in order to prevent
the malpractice in

First Crusades Dbq
Before the first Crusade, Western Europe had become a place with not much progress, confined from
other civilizations and hidden in the Dark Ages that had gone down on Western Christendom after the
collapse of the Roman Empire. At the time of the first Crusade, the Middle East and Western Europe
were greatly divided. The Crusades contributed to the end of Western Europe s global isolation by
introducing an era in which Western Europe came into direct contact with the large trade routes that
united their civilization with Asia.
The Crusades introduced many Western Europeans to trading. Many goods flowed along these trade
routes such as spices, silk, cotton, paper, medicines and other endless amounts of products. The trade
created a high demand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These reasons resulted in what became a prosperous first crusade led by the Pope himself. The
political reasons ranged from a desire for adventure to the land of Jerusalem, wanting to gain more
power, and other economic rationales. By the end of the first crusade, the Crusaders were victorious in
stripping more than forty silver candelabra and more than twenty gold ones in the Dome of the Rock.
The economic reasons included gaining more wealth, land, riches and multiple goods. The Pope
claims that the Crusaders must ...rush quickly as [they] can to the defence of the Eastern Church and
that it s ...a beautiful thing to die for Christ... . The religious reasons the Crusaders thought to be true
was that the crusade was God s call for the Christian brothers to accomplish their attack on the
Muslims. The Muslims were filled with grief as the Arab Historian, Ibn al Athir, recalls that ...the
Franks slaughtered more than 70,000 people...women and children taken prisoner, the homes
pillaged... . Unlike the rejoice in the documents and articles from the Crusaders perspectives, the
Muslim perspective felt sorrow for those who died innocently. The Crusaders destroyed an extensive
portion the Jerusalem land and population, taking away valuable riches and treasures from the Holy
Land. While later crusades failed to accomplish that of the crusade led by Pope Urban III, I greatly
believe that the first crusade was a great

What Role Does The Sphinx Play In Oedipus Rex

Research Paper
Oedipus the King Greek Drama played an important civic role in ancient Greece. This is evident in the
tragic drama, Oedipus the King by Sophocles. The people of ancient Greece religiously believed in
prophecies and the fact that the Gods controlled their destiny. If something were to be wrong with
their lands then they would think that it was because something angered the gods, and in return would
try to sacrifice animals in an attempt to make the Gods happy. These are some of the key points on
which the play, Oedipus the King is based on. In order to not see the prophecy fulfill, Queen Jocasta
and King Laius try to have their son killed. A lot of this play is based around asking ... Show more

Sons attracted to their mothers and daughters attracted to their fathers. Sigmund Freud is known to
have the Oedipal Complex based on this play. However, there isn t much concrete evidence as to that
fact the Oedipus is attracted to Jocasta as his mother. First of all we don t get to see much of the
romantic side of their relation in this play so it is hard to say that there are any demonstrations of
Oedipal Complex in this play. Secondly Oedipus didn t know that Jocasta was his mother until the
very end. One might say that Oedipus might have originally agreed to married Jocassta because he
found her unconsciously attracted because of that fact that she was his biological mother. However,
her mother abandoned Oedipus at such a young age that he literally had no memory of Jocasta. Hence,
it is hard to believe that Oedipus unconsciously finds Jocasta attractive, not because she is attractive,
but because she is her

Ethical Predestination
If God does elect and reserves a spot for those who get to receive salvation or condemnation before
time, then there is no such thing as free will amongst human beings. There is no free will because God
already chose who gets what, so there is no point in worshipping a God that might condemn you. The
primary source of this essay is Institutes of the Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapters, 21 23 by Jean
Calvin. In this essay I am going to prove that predestination is not an ethically acceptable doctrine to
justify God s actions. If there is a God, he is usually identified as a powerful, all knowing, and never
wrong entity that watches over all of humanity. God created every living thing on Earth. So, God
supposedly loves and cares for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All the efforts put into donating money, blood, clothes and etc... is of no use because a dead person
does not need any of those materialistic goods. God already chose who gets salvation and
condemnation. Redemption is only done by a person who wants to feel that they have done good
deeds for God to see and God will reward them with salvation. Just like how human always wants to
be rewarded for all the works they do. For example, a child does good deeds around the house in the
form of chores set out by their parents. After finishing said chores, a child is rewarded. The parents
can reward the child in the form of a praise, in the form of money, or in the form of a toy. All humans
care is rewards received after every work

The Controversy Of Star Spangled Banner By Colin Kaepernick
Colin Kaepernick is a professional American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the
National Football League. Keapernick ignited controversy when he chose to remain seated while his
teammates were standing to the Star Spangled Banner . His actions yelled that he was against
patriotism. I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people
and people of color, Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive after the game against Green Bay. To
me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are
bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away from the murder. In my opinion, I
disagree about how Kaepernick presented his disagreement. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

For example, when President Kennedy was assassinated, NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle added
moments of silence and flag ceremonies on Sunday games played across the country. During the first
Gulf War, the flag was on the players shirts. Since September 11, 2001, many baseball stadiums have
replaced the traditional seventh inning stretch Take me out to the Ball Game with God Bless America .
Even in school, we honor the flag. If he does not want to honor these moments, I suggest he finds
somewhere else that is important to him, just like Trump stated. Kaepernick s social media accounts
have recently been centered on forwarding discussions on topics like race, religion, and politics. This
brings out the worst in people as they hassle to prove they are right. He has been engaging debates
about how Ryan Lochte got it easy when he shouldn t have and that it wasn t fair. Last month
Kaepernick heated the debate when he wore socks during team practice representing police officers as
pigs. He defended the socks saying the rogue cops that are allowed to hold positions in police
departments are putting both community and cops that have the right intentions in danger. This has
offended many people, including the police itself. These comments should not be on social media
because of its content. If he feels America is unreasonable, then he should show his opinion in a way
that does affect and dishonor

  • 2. The Window Homecoming I used Homecoming in The Window as a model to write my poem. Upon first reading this poem, I was struck by a scene: a woman is walking on a white gravel lane, beneath the cathedral arch of walnut trees. Then I read it again and tried to figure out the story behind this scene. From the first and second stanzas of this poem, it seems that this woman has been caught up in some scandals and she tries to come back home to escape from her current situation. It is apparent that she is estranged from her family: there would be nothing to tell them... They hadn t already been told. The description of the woman s home in the third stanza shows that her family is not poor. The use of the phrase main house even indicates that her family is rich enough ... The trend was to build enclosed malls and to renovate older outdoor malls into enclosed ones. Such malls had advantages, including temperature control. But by the end of 1990 s the trend took a sharp turn and it was again fashionable to build open air malls. Finally by 2001, a PricewaterhouseCoopers study found that underperforming and vacant malls were an emerging problem. According to new trends, the outdoor outlet malls or big box shopping areas known as power centres are now favoured, although the traditional enclosed shopping mall is still in demand by those seeking weather protected, all under one roof shopping. High land prices in populated cities have led to the concept of the vertical mall, in which space allocated to retail is configured over a number of stories accessible by elevators and/or escalators (usually both) linking the different levels of the mall. It is the nature of plants to cross pollinate and spread their genes, but this means the harmful genes of genetically modified organisms are also being spread. This makes it difficult to avoid GMOs by means of an organic diet, and increases the need for labelling. Also, genetically modified seeds do not increase crop yields. Contrary to the belief of many Canadians, they instead work against ending world hunger. It is pretty much a fact of life, and the current way the U.S. government is attempting to resolve the problem is not the correct way. We are trying to fix a long term problem with a short term solution. Instead of welfare, there are much better ways to solve the problem of poverty. If you are not familiar with how welfare works, you are given a set amount of money each month and you are expected to spend it a certain way. As long as you are satisfying certain requirements such as applying for an amount of jobs each month or spending the money properly, you obtain the money. The unfortunate part is that there is an income bracket that dictates whether or not you qualify for welfare. Once you acquire a job that pays enough, most of the welfare money is taken away. This centivises not earning a job and living off of welfare, which generates a debt ceiling that makes it very difficult for people to escape from. Internal Investigation: Exploration Juan Garcia 11/17/15 Period 2 Problem/Question What is the effect of varying pH solutions on the rate of photosynthesis on the Indian Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) via The Floating Leaf Disc Assay? Background The Indian Lotus is an aquatic plant that is quite popular among cultures as being sacred. It is often used to portray beauty as it grows from the mud unstained and pure. It is also used today in many Asian foods. As such the growth of the Indian Lotus is one that is very important to many cultures and societies. Knowledge of the optimum pH in which the Indian Lotus grows can be significant due to how the pH of the environment the Indian Lotus grows in can vary based upon pollution and other factors. Therefore in the event of high pollution, or any situation that changes the pH of the environment botanists may be able to predict or decipher the effect of that change on the growth of the plants in the area, specifically the Indian Lotus. The experiment can also conclude the extent that pH affects Indian Lotus growth. It may conclude that varying pH has a slight effect on Indian Lotus growth or even the ability to stop it from undergoing photosynthesis completely and kill the organism. The experiment is important in general to find how pH can affect Indian Lotus growth which can in turn affect other aspects such as the diet of locals or lead to even a decrease in Indian Lotus which is culturally significant to cultures and religions. ... Being able to realize the ultimate desires and goals in life is apart of each of the texts. In the book The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, the story shows characters realizing objectives through point of view when Tally Youngblood is faced with the truth about getting an operation to become pretty. Likewise, in The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri, the message of realization is developed through symbolism of the narrator s experience in a new world. The theme as shown in The Art of Resilience by Hara Estroff Marano is expressed through conflict. The use of point of view, symbolism and conflict create the theme, a person must become self aware to realize their goals, in the texts The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri, and The Art of Resilience by Hara Estroff Marano. • 22. Philip Freneau And Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Summary Life was a prominent subject in nineteenth century literature. Poems, books, and even everyday conversations contemplated the topic. From exploring its meaning, its purpose, and its impact, individuals were obsessed with it. Two such pundits were Philip Freneau and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. They accepted the challenge and broached the subject of life in their poetry. Their perspectives, however, were anything but concurrent. By focusing on Freneau s The Wild Honey Suckle and Longfellow s A Psalm of Life the authors contrasting views become exceptionally clear. While one valued humility and acknowledgment of human fragility, the other sought to spark ambition and enliven a sense of dutiful perseverance. Paying close attention to the time frame in which each author wrote is also significant in identifying the reason behind such differing perspectives. Not only does the era play a part, but also each writer s personal beliefs and values. Freneau was extremely realistic and literal; Longfellow was optimistic and indicative. Taking an in depth look at each author respectively and analyzing their contrasting opinions as well as their reasoning facilitates a deeper understanding of not only the writers but the works themselves. The interviewees agreed however that CSR is about more than environmental responsibility or having a recycling policy. Its initiatives take organizations beyond compliance with legislation and leads them to honor ethical values, respect people, communities and the natural environment. But most of all CSR is sustainable involving activities that their organization can maintain without adversely affecting the business goals. Few benefits mentioned were; 1. Win new business 2. • 24. Cause Of The English Revolution In 17th century, series of rebellions and civil wars occurred, known famously as the English Revolution. These events occurred primarily as the result of a power struggle between Parliament and the king. The revolutions served to decide how the power would be distributed in the English government. The events that led up to the English Revolution began largely after the death of Queen Elizabeth I, marking the end of the Tudor dynasty in 1603. James I was crowned king, and the Stuart dynasty began. James, unlike his predecessor, believed in divine right of kings, a concept that said kings were chosen for the position by God and were all powerful. This is a concept opposite to that of popular sovereignty, in which the power of government was given and sustained by the people, rather than god. This created a rift ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dissension among Parliament and the people of England was increased by the fact that James was strongly devoted to the Church of England, which displeased the Puritans, who wished to make the church more Protestant. Because the lower house of Parliament was composed primarily of Puritans, the new king was not popular with most of the members of Parliament. At one point, Parliament passed a law stating that citizens could not be taxed without Parliament s permission, which limited the king s power. James, who believed in the divine right of kings, was displeased by this. He believed that, as a man chosen by god to be a supreme ruler, he should not follow laws, and did not believe in the concept of constitutionalism. Constitutionalism is a concept that says all rulers must obey laws, regardless of standing. • 32. An Analysis Of The Banjo By Louis Gottschalk To recover from the storm, I select The Banjo by Louis Gottschalk as my next piece. In contrast to the fierce thunderstorm in Moonlight s third movement, Banjo is full of cheerful and light hearted melodies. As if a sunshower, the music refreshes our mind and energizes our spirit. Staccato, one of the most remarkable characteristics in this piece, brings energy to the entire music. In the subject line of the A section (this piece has a five part A B A B A form), the melody of the left hand purely consists of staccatos whose short, bouncing feature opens up a dynamic theme., This dynamic is further expressed as the piece enters B section, since the high pitched notes have more distinguishable sounds and a more rapid speed. This movement then culminates at five major chords whose high pitch and strong, sharp volume produce an extraordinarily penetrating sound. All these movements delineates a playful scene of rain dancing at every corner of the world: on a roof, a stream, an umbrella, a petal of flower, etc. By reflecting sunlight, every drop of rain looks like a shining crystal that illuminates the surroundings and illuminates our heart. Another interesting point of this piece is the use of an old music, Capetown Races. Capetown Races resembles the tune of nursery rhymes and introduces an innocent, childlike sense. In The Banjo, the main melody of the old song comes from the right hand region and are expressed through octave chords. As the main melody repeats, the notes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The issue of geology and seismicity is important to the Lancaster area at large due to its location being less than ten miles south of the San Andreas Fault. Major earthquakes in the area present a problem for citizen s safety and possible property damage. A similar issue is that of flooding and drainage. Because Lancaster exists within a valley and is relatively flat, the area is prone to flooding. One of the current propositions is to include flood water basins. The water basins to mitigate for the 100 year flood are essentially large ditches on the corner of neighborhood streets. When a water basin sits in the middle of a neighborhood it is not a functional part of the surrounding environment and can become an eyesore in a community. One might say that what is good is good because God says it s good. This raises the question asked by many philosophers does God love the good because it is good, or is it good because God loves it? The simple answer is God loves goodness because he is good therefore he commands goodness. All what is considered righteous to God may be found in the Bible. • 45. Ethical Predestination If God does elect and reserves a spot for those who get to receive salvation or condemnation before time, then there is no such thing as free will amongst human beings. There is no free will because God already chose who gets what, so there is no point in worshipping a God that might condemn you. The primary source of this essay is Institutes of the Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapters, 21 23 by Jean Calvin. In this essay I am going to prove that predestination is not an ethically acceptable doctrine to justify God s actions. • 46. The Controversy Of Star Spangled Banner By Colin Kaepernick Colin Kaepernick is a professional American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away from the murder. In my opinion, I disagree about how Kaepernick presented his disagreement. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the first Gulf War, the flag was on the players shirts. Since September 11, 2001, many baseball stadiums have replaced the traditional seventh inning stretch Take me out to the Ball Game with God Bless America . Even in school, we honor the flag. If he does not want to honor these moments, I suggest he finds somewhere else that is important to him, just like Trump stated. Kaepernick s social media accounts have recently been centered on forwarding discussions on topics like race, religion, and politics. This brings out the worst in people as they hassle to prove they are right. He has been engaging debates about how Ryan Lochte got it easy when he shouldn t have and that it wasn t fair. Last month Kaepernick heated the debate when he wore socks during team practice representing police officers as pigs. He defended the socks saying the rogue cops that are allowed to hold positions in police departments are putting both community and cops that have the right intentions in danger. This has offended many people, including the police itself. These comments should not be on social media because of its content. If he feels America is unreasonable, then he should show his opinion in a way that does affect and dishonor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
