As a teen, students should not be exposed to the inappropriateness that are put in books at such a

Portrayal Of Women In Miss Representation
Miss Representation (2011) criticizes the media conglomerate s portrayal of women in film and the
disproportionate amount of women involved in the industry. Whether we accept it or not, media
consumption heavily influences our daily behavior and societal norms. When Hollywood casts women
in a monochromatic light, often sexualizing them for sensationalism, it is hard for women to envision

paper presents a performance analysis of character recognition by Scale Invariant Feature
(SIF) matrix with a Back Propagation Neural network (BPN). A GUI based OCR system is
developed using Mat lab. The results are shown for the English alphabets and numeric. This
is observed that the perceptron network converges faster, whereas the BPN can handle the
complex script recognition when the training set is enriched.
