State, Political Economy And Governance
STATE, POLITICAL ECONOMY AND GOVERNANCE ASSIGNMENT WORK Submitted by:
Mohit kumar M.A. (P), SOCW10137 QUESTION: encountering state and citizenship in your
everyday life . ANSWER: Definitions of State: Many scholars have defined state in various ways.
Even today modern day scholars attempt to define state taking into account its modern functions. In
4th century B.C. Aristotle, who is regarded as `Father of Political Science‟ had defined state.
According to him, state is a union of families and villages having for its end a perfect and self
sufficing life, by which we mean a happy and honourable life. According to some scholars, this
definition is so comprehensive that it can hardly be improved upon. Aristotle‟s definition
communicates the primary objectives of the state however we must study some more definitions
of the State. Holland: State is a Politically organized people of a definite territory. Prof Woodrow
Wilson, `State is a People organized for law within a definite territory.‟Though these two

The Worst Sort Of Husband By Daniel Defoe
The Worst Sort of Husband Daniel Defoe
The Worst Sort of Husband by Daniel Defoe was written to explain the different types of husbands
women deal with and their personalities. This analysis goes in depth on how diverse husbands can
be. There are five different husbands described in the analysis: the Drunken Husband, the
Debauched Husband, the Fighting Husband, and the Extravagant Husband. Each husband
described was a male s point of view of men for a sober woman s knowledge on who she wants to
marry. The author, Daniel Defoe was an English writer that lived in the 1700s. Daniel Defoe did
not always have this name because he changed his name to something that he personally thought
was professional. Defoe wanted his name to sound more like a gentleman s name and that is the
name he chose. Defoe was a very famous writer in the 1700s in London, England and was
acknowledged by all his written work. Personally, I believe Daniel Defoe wrote this article out of
humor, but I m also not sure of what exactly people thought was humorous in the 1700s. If not
humorous, this article was meant to be informational for woman. ... Show more content on

I m sure the audience was broad, being that Defoe was a popular writer but focusing more on
women. This article was written because of a conversation that Defoe had with a former lady. He
says that this question intrigued him to write about it. The question was, What is the worst sort of
husband a sober woman can marry? . Children, males, and elders are the excluded audience of this
article about husbands. Children have yet to get married, men aren t necessarily interested in
finding the worst sort of husband, and elders are either already married or most likely not
interested in marrying at such an old

Cdc And Its Partners Are Piloting A High Impact Prevention
CDC Involvement CDC and its partners are piloting a high impact prevention tactic to
improvement the goals of the National HIV/AIDS strategy (NHAS), increase the proficiency of
present HIV prevention approaches, and improve scrutiny among AI/AN. Listed below are some of
the activities that included:
1.Working with the Indian Health Service (HIS) and tribal leaders of the CDC Tribal Consultation
Advisory Committee to discuss methods for developing and implementing scalable, effective
prevention intervention approached that reach those at great risk for HIV and AIDS, including
young gay and bisexual AI/AN men .
2.Providing support and technical assistance to the health departments and community based
organizations to deliver effective prevention intervention for AI/AN .
3.Ensuring that capacity building assistance providers incorporate cultural competency, and
linguistics and educational appropriateness into all services delivered . (CDC)
Treatments
The most common reason AI/AN respondents were tested for HIV was because of illness. The
primary prevention is to prevent, secondly prevention would be getting tested early/detect and treat
disease that has not yet become symptomatic, tertiary prevention would be staying adherent to the
ARV regimen/prevent further deterioration, recurrent symptoms, and subsequent events (Rowan,
2013). There are additional factors that will help patients with HIV /AIDS for example, the drug

Organic Milk Vs Organic Food
Introduction
Milk is a perfect food that is essential for health and proper growth of the human body. It contains
carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, fats, and many vitamins in proper a ratio that is needed for the
development of the human body. In today s society, the emphasis on organic food and
conventional food is quite big. Many say that organic food is much healthier and more nutritious
than conventional. Milk is an important food in many people s diets, it is essentially the food that
babies grow up on and it is important to know what is healthier. It is defined that organic milk
comes from cows that have not been treated with antibiotics and given hormones, and have been
fed at least 30% of its diet on pasture. Conventional milk can be produced the same way, but it does
not have to follow the strict rules. It is important to determine whether organic milk is worth the
money and if it is healthier than conventional milk. Several studies have been analyzed and they
split in opinion whether organic milk is healthier. The studies that support the yes argument, state
that organic milk is healthier because it has higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid and О±
linolenic acid; of minerals such as selenium; and the ration of n 6 to n 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids
is lower. The studies supporting the no side, state that it was determined that the abundance of
oligosaccharides, the concentration of Vitamin A, Vitamin E and ОІ carotene, and the levels of
estrogen were similar

The Vision Festival
The Vision Festival is the Arts for Art s annual celebration of the free jazz movement, which
promotes the ideals of freedom, justice, and excellence.
Over the course of one week (from June 5 through 12), unavoidable musicians and artists who
actuate within this bold and particular current performed at the Judson Church in Washington
Square.
This year, Vision awarded the veteran avant jazzbassist, Henry Grimes, with the lifetime
achievement for his outstanding career.
The evening of June 9th started with the Douglas Dunn Dancers expressing themselves lightly and

Their experience and extraordinary sense of unity could be appreciated throughout the breathtaking

super articulated, if sometimes completely refracted, rhythms. You can think of an intoxicating
odyssey whose noisy prayers and agitated passages are gradually transformed into calm and
breathable atmospheres, essential to regroup forces and continue exulting inspiration.
Drake and Bisio formed a cohesive and tireless rhythm section, persisting in fast paces, while
Cooper Moore and Jordan embarked on a sort of musical game where they rejoiced and sang and

And while I m at it I d just like to say that the Soundtrack and background music is both corny
and....not very good. Out of the 10 Songs used in the movie only 1 is decent (Don t You Forget
About Me by Simple Minds) and even I don t like it while the rest of the songs to say the least
are quite rubbish unless you absolutely LOVED both the movie and the 80 s music scene then
you d probably not like it. In my own opinion I believe that this movie is run on its own
characterization as it IS about stereotypes at school. I d like to start on describing my personal
favourite character of the movie, John Bender (Played by Judd Nelson). John Bender is a
stereotypical Criminal/Rebel complete with Denim Jacket, Leather Gloves and a Bandana. He
talks with confidence as he says what he pleases to either to annoy or anger others for his own
amusement and when he has to, stand up for what/who he believes in. Judd Nelson acted out the
character of John brilliantly as you can really imagine Judd in real life truly acting this way as he
has given such a realistic performance that is both entertaining and true. I believe that without the
character of John Bender, The Breakfast Club as a movie would really be missing that extra punch
that made it such a hit with all his funny comebacks and entertaining scenes lead by Bender. Claire

Cleopatra Masculinity
Powerful women throughout history have utilized various different tactics to facilitate their rise to
power. One of our eldest and most memorable female rulers known today is Queen Cleopatra VII.
Queen Cleopatra VII accumulated her power through manipulating other powerful people.
Cleopatra had the power of beauty, charm, and intelligence all wrapped around her finger.
Various powerful women attempt to diminish or conceal their femininity in fear of being seen
inferior to a male opponent; Cleopatra however, learned to thrive and relish in her feminine
charm and used it as her ultimate weapon for success in such a male dominant world. Being one
of the few female rulers in the Mediterranean, it was very easy for a woman to be seen as weak
and powerless simply due to her gender. Cleopatra showed that although male rulers may have
strength and masculinity to give them a powerful image, female rulers have intelligence and beauty
to overpower that. Her first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some may even argue that Cleopatra s romance with these men was true love. Throughout
Shakespeare s The Tragedy of Antony and Cleopatra, Cleopatra and Marc Antony s relationship is
played out to be a true romance with a heartbreaking ending (Shakespeare). Whether Cleopatra grew
to genuinely love Julius Caesar and Marc Antony does not justify her initial motives for seducing
them. Before her first interactions with both men, Cleopatra was not in a powerfully stable state.
Both men came into her life in times of great need of political aid. She sought Julius Caesar in the
hope that he would reinstate the throne she had recently lost. After Julius Caesar s death, Marc
Antony served as a Roman protector for Cleopatra and Egypt. Her association with both men was
strategically planned; although she might have grown genuine affection towards them both
throughout each relationship, these feelings were nonexistent in her initial

Prayer On The Life Of A Minister
There is no substitute for prayer in the life of a minister. It is something that has to be an
intentional part of every day, but this is not always an easy task. Even Jesus had to work to
incorporate prayer into his daily routine rising early and going away from the others to spend
time with God (Mark 1:35 37). If a minister is not careful, finding time to pray can feel like a
burden, yet, it is one of the most precious privileges that was bought for mankind through the blood
of JesusChrist. Prayerfor a minister goes beyond the developing of a vibrant relationship with God.
A Pastor is called to pray the prayers of the people, he is to pray with the sick and poor and he is to
teach his people the importance of prayer and how to incorporate it into their daily lives.
A Foundation of Prayer
The Bible states that there will always be people in need, and it is our duty to reach out and help
to the best of our ability (Deuteronomy 15:11). Hebrews 13:2 is a reminder not to miss an
opportunity to show kindness to a stranger, it just might be an angel that is being cared for.
Matthew 25:34 36 gives further clarification on how to serve the needy; For I was hungry, and you
gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and
you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and
you came to Me. (NASB) Serving others is how God uses his people to help others experience his
love.

Importance Of Ethics On Accounting And Business At Large
The Importance of Ethics in Accounting Zachary J. Blake ACCT 302 B01 LUO 06OCT14 The
Importance of Ethics in Accounting Abstract: Ethics are of the utmost concern within accounting
and business at large. Ethics are the standard by which we make moral choices and decisions in our
lives. In business and accounting, ethics give external users such as stakeholders, venture
capitalists, and others a measure by which they can weigh financial statements and information to
see if they are accurately portrayed. There are many different standards which govern the ethics of
the accounting profession such as United States GAAP and European IFRS. Legislation, such as
the Sarbanes Oxley Act, has been passed to ensure that these ethics are maintained. Introduction:
Ethics are the backbone of the accounting profession and are a subject of utmost importance within
the field of business. Ethics within the accounting profession ensure that financial information is
presented truthfully. Accounting ethics deals with specific questions on whether a given business
practices is acceptable or not. To this end, many standards, principles and agencies such as FASB,
GAAP, IASB, IFRS, and the Securities and Exchange Commission have been formed to codify
and enforce these ethics. There has also been an increasing desire within the general public for
transparency within publically held firms largely due to recent corporate scandals and the general
power large corporations wield over society (MelГ©,

Why Do Tribunals Deserve Justice
Individuals who commit war crimes and genocide undoubtedly deserve severe punishment, and
their victims deserve justice. Though this sentiment would likely be agreed upon by a majority of
people, the logistics of how exactly to carry out this punishment and procure justice are widely
debated. Recently, international courts and tribunals have been set up to try individuals for war
crimes and bring justice to the victims of these war crimes. However, these international courts and
tribunals are often ineffective. Throughout this paper, I will explain why I agree with Adam Smith
that domestic or hybrid courts are preferable over an international court system. There are several
reasons why international law is not the most effective way to achieve... Show more content on

Since justice is a concept that differs amongst every culture and group, it is difficult to empirically
measure the effectiveness of an international court in regard to providing justice. However,
supporters of international courts measure their success in ways other than justice brought. For
example, if a group sees that other criminals are being tried, sentenced, and punished appropriately
by an international court, one might assume that this group would be less inclined to carry out
similar crimes. According to Hyeran Jo and Beth Simmons in their 2016 study on international
criminal courts, a large study affiliated with the World Bank based on developing countries found
that higher conviction rates tended to reduce crime, even controlling for the death penalty (Jo and
Simmons, 447). Theoretically, an international court such as the International Criminal Courtcould
deter groups and individuals from committing war crimes based on this criminological data, if these
individuals and groups saw that the court prosecuted effectively and thoroughly. However, there are
many instances that show an international trial is not effective nor thorough. As mentioned earlier,
the Khmer Rouge tribunal lasted for a decade and only three individuals received a

Uncanny Cat Edger Allen Poe s short story The Black Cat s plot consists of a rather horrifying
narrative provided by the narrator, whom remains unnamed. The story begins as a simple re telling
of events from the narrator s life. This self reflection was brought on by the narrator s imminent
execution on the following day the cause of his execution remains shrouded behind statements
indicating the common place. The narrator comments on his childhood stating that ...I was noted

His change in temperament that he reveals with his statement I blush to confess it that he truly is
experiencing a feeling of the uncanny concerning his alcohol fueled change of character. Freud
theorizes that ...if psychoanalytic theory is correct in maintaining that every emotional affect,
whatever its quality, is transformed by repression into morbid anxiety, then among such cases of
anxiety there must be a class in which the anxiety can be shown to come from something
repressed which recurs (Freud 13). The very fact he began to drink excessively suggests some
deep seated repression the cause of witch one could argue involves the narrator s seemingly
unnatural love toward animals that day by day torments him into a bottle. The desire to subside
the feeling of morbid anxiety in his daily life brings one to understand why he would seek the
numbing effects of alcohol, but in so doing he is unwittingly bringing a side of him to light that
should have never seen the light of day.
Although the narrator has shown a tendency toward violence up to this point he had refrained from
demonstrating it to his cat due to the love they had once shared. In the following months the
narrator upon reflection grieves about his deeds, but then that grief gives way to something much
darker, I had so much of my old heart

Columbus Day and Christopher Columbus Essay
In fourteen hundred ninety two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue , starts the beginning of one of
history s biggest fabrications. We teach our children to be honest and truthful, but then lie to them
for the first six to eight years of their educational lives about their own history. For in fact,
Columbus did not discover America and did not unveil the myth regarding the world being flat. At
the moment, I have yet to discover if Christopher Columbusever discovered anything at all.

unorthodox events that occurred after Columbus adventure; I do not celebrate Columbus Day. I

The enslavement of Native Americans and Africans were also products of this great discovery
which consequently led to millions being immolated. Celebrating such an affair mocks the deaths
of those who died from the greed of English settlers and the kings and queens who sponsored them.
Must we turn a blind eye to the harsh reality that our ancestors were wrong? Even though much was
conquered from this monstrosity, it makes it no more right now than then, and is no cause for
celebration.
Finally, the most apparent and vital reason as to why Columbus Day should not be an American
national holiday is very simple. His voyage did not bring him to the lands of America. Columbus
landed in the Caribbean. This is a fact and is acknowledged by historians and analysis from
around the world. Columbus did not land in America; therefore, Americans have no allegiance to
commemorate him for our founding. Whether his expedition led to the colonization of America is
to be argued, but there is no doubt that he, himself, did not set foot on American soil. I ve read
many books and articles trying to find where he even visited America in his time. I have yet to
discover any documented evidence that supports him being placed in any of the American states.
Arbitrarily, I do not recognize him for discovering America; neither do I celebrate the date

Intellectual developments pertaining to gender in Japan and Europe
Gender roles and the rights of women in society are fundamentally the same in 18th century
Europe as in Japan at the turn of the century. In both societies women are looked down upon as
the weaker counterparts of men; useful only for improving the lives of men. Because society
believes women only live to improve the lives of men they feel that women don t need to be
educated, they don t need to own property, and that women should suit the taste and needs of
men. The idea that women are lesser than men in society and don t deserve the same privileges

Rousseau describes the natural society as a bond between a father and child where children
remain attached to the father for preservation and the father takes care of them because he loves
them. When the children no longer need the father for preservation the bond is broken and they
stay together only voluntarily. Just like the children in Rousseau s first society women in the time
period and society married for security. In return for the security men offered women were
expected to be good, obedient wives. When women are allowed to be independent and no longer
need men for security they only marry voluntarily.
Yoshiko, a character from Sanshiro, is a perfect example of the natural society Rousseau describes
with a woman in the place of the child. Yoshiko has the security of her brother s money and home
and therefore does not have to marry to gain security. Yoshiko will only marry if she finds a man
she loves. Most women are not lucky enough to be as financially stable as Yoshiko and are
controlled by their inability to be independent. Like Yoshiko Mineko, another character from
Sanshiro, is a wealthy woman who lives with her brother. She is financially independent but
Sanshiro is afraid to borrow money from her because she is a girl, not an independent person
(SЕЌseki 146). Even though Mineko has her own money she does not have the right to use it as

There are Seven Wonders of the Ancient World known today. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon,
The Great Pyramid of Giza, The Temple of Artemis, The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, The

With years of research on all seven wonders, there are many questions left unanswered today.
Most of these questions include important facts about the status itself. Where were they located?
Why were they created? What happened to them? The most important unanswered question can
be asked of all seven of these wonders, did they even exist? These questions are raised by the
curiosity of architects, scientists, historians, and anyone with a bit of imagination with a love

Vaningelgema Abstract This paper is based on our work experience with Office line. This company
prepares standard times for companies in the industrial sector. Standard time is productive time that
is required and achieved by an employee. Standard time contains everything that is necessary for
the work specified to be completed. The reason why Office line only prepare standard times for the

repetition is not so evident. There is repetitiveness in some... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This includes that we have to make a more than one measurement to become a reliable average
for these tasks. A second importance that we need to take notice of using chrono, is the
performance level at which the employee is working. An execution time of a specific person can
not be used as a reference for or employees and as a consequency we can t set these specific times
as standards. Tools that can help us by adding a tempo to our measurements are tempo scales.
These scales will make sure that execution times will be calibrated and that we become standard
times. Standard times can be executed by any valid employee in a social acceptable space of time.
Bedaux scale This tempo scale was designed by the Frenchman Bedaux. He saw that not all
employees were working at the same performance level. So he had the idea to add a value from 0
to 100 to the performance levels where 100 stands for the maximum pace which can only be
performed for a short period and zero for doing nothing at all. A score of 60 is the level every valid
employee should be able to perform for a complete week, 8 hours per day. For his scale, Bedaux
compared the working tempo with walking (60) and running (100) that we know starts from a
speed of 7,5 km/h. Walking at the speed of 4,5 km/h matches the score of 60 Bedaux points.

Three Ethical Theories Of Ageism
Robert Butler a physician, gerontologist, psychiatrist, and Pulitzer Prize winning author, who was
the first director of the National Institute on Aging described ageism as [a] process of systematic
stereotyping or discrimination against people because they are old, just as racism and sexism
accomplish with skin color and gender. Ageismallows the younger generations to see older people
as different than themselves; thus they subtly cease to identify with their elders as human beings.
Butler saw ageism manifested in a wide range of phenomena on both individual and institutional
levels stereotypes and myths, outright disdain and dislike, simple avoidance of contact, and
discriminatory practices in housing, employment, and services of all kinds. In today s society

The Feminist Legal Theory focuses on women who are of mature age being given less rights and
opportunities and are also being disregarded in the discourse. It has been pointed out by feminist
writers that age can be an organizing principle of power, just as gender, race, class, and sexual
orientation are.
In context of how systems maintain some arrangements but also may substitute inequalities in later
life, other authors have begun to contemplate age and gender lenses. For example as a group,
married women and men tend to be better off in terms of their economic/material, health and social
resources than those who are not married. Similarly, younger age associates of married women
have a tendency to be better off than older age associates of married women.
This invites consideration of how rules specifically or cumulatively across the life course aid the
relative benefits or drawbacks for various groups of older

Gun Laws And Gun Control
Body 1: England passed a law banning all handguns in 1997 following a school
shooting(Malcolm). However, in 2002, handgun crime has more than doubled by nearly thirty five
percent since then(Malcolm). There are two flaws in the idea that England s strict gun law is
responsible for its low levels of crime. First, violence and armed crime was low before gun
controls were implemented. Secondly, the long decline in the interpersonal violence ended in
1953, and violent crime has been escalating ever since then, despite increasingly strict gun
regulations(Malcolm). The first serious gun control was imposed in 1920 not because of fear of
crime, but rather due to fear of revolution(Malcolm). In the beginning of World War I, the
government faced massive labor disruption, feared a Bolshevik revolution, and worried about the
return of thousands of soldiers brutalized by an especially ferocious war. The new act required a
prospective gun owner to obtain a certificate from the local police, who were responsible for
determining whether the applicant was in good standing for possession of a firearm. Parliament was
assured that the sole intention of the law was to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals and
other dangerous persons.(Malcolm) Despite the fact that laws were implemented to remove guns
from citizens, crime still increased, and most of the citizens had no way to defend themselves when
held at range from a deadly combatant. Gun Legislation in the United States has a long

The ecology of Pizza Essay
Bill Cunningham
English 199
Dr. Walters
January 16, 2014
Pizza is a food that Sandra Steingraber associates with happiness. She explains how pizza jogs her
memories of birthday parties and sleepovers. However, her goal of writing this piece was not to
educate the reader about her love for pizza, but to draw the reader into the piece of writing so she
can give support for why organic food is better than conventional. The reader is able to connect
with Sandra Steingraber with personal stories about her life and the happiness that pizza has
given her. She is able to tell stories of college, becoming a mother, and even feeding her own
children pizza. After she tells stories of how the pizza makes her happy, she remembers... Show

Further, she starts to say that the biggest difference in the money spent on conventional than
organic is milk. She is able to use facts that say that organic makes about nine dollars more than
convectional per a hundred pounds. However, she continues by saying there have been studies
that explain that conventional way of farming causes miscarriages, low sperm counts, premature
birth, and birth defects. While conventional is cheaper than organic, however it saves peoples
lives in the long run. She is able to use sources time and time again to support her argument. Mrs.
Steingraber would make claims of the differences between wheat flour, olive oil, tomatoes and
garlic; the ingredients of pizza. Indeed most of the conventional being cheaper time and time
again, but she explains the differences and the way the ingredients are being treated. In
conclusion for her argument with why organic is better, she continues to say how she wants to
make not only the farming community better, but help save the ozone layer, prevent cancer, and
protect drinking water. Her final thought is that the total cost of pizza organic is six dollars and
eighty five cents. While conventional is four dollars and fifty cents, she wants to leave with the
thought of would you want to sacrifice your health for a pizza that is two dollars cheaper? Her
strategy of making the point for organic food was very consistent

Movie Viewing Assignment Of all the different genres of movies, horror is for sure my favorite
type to watch. I was looking over the list of movies for this last assignment and my eye went
straight to the horror section. After looking at all of the options for the scary movies, I thought
to myself that I should branch out and watch a type of movie that I don t usually watch. So I
chose musical. Although I don t watch musicals often, when I do, I enjoy them very much. For
starters, singing is such a beautiful gift to the ears of people, like me, that love listening to
someone sing. I love listening to people sing and it gives me chills whenever a pretty song is sung.
I also love watching people dance and in many musicals, there are always a choreographed dances

Analysis Of The Movie Brooklyn
Eilis leaves Ireland with the clothes on her back and a single trunk of clothes in her hand. For
her, America is a shining beacon of opportunity. The movie Brooklyn (2015) captures the
emotional struggle of wondering where home is. Eilis feels her heart is in Ireland while her body
is in Brooklyn; characters such as Tony help bring her heart over to America. Film is a wonderful
tool to describe the world, whether in the present, past, or future sense. The movie Brooklyn is an

The movie forces this reaction on the viewers by setting up Miss Kelly s character as rude and
insensitive. This interaction subconsciously disconnects any positive emotions about Ireland laid
out before in the movie. The audience is being roped into the arc of the story.
Over the course of the movie, words are a powerful force, yet for all their power, language and
voice are fragile forces. [... they] control our perceptions of the world as much as it liberates us
(Ross, 107). In the case of Brooklyn, Ireland and the letters coming from it are chaining Eilis
down. The first letter that she receives from home causes Eilis to breakdown. She cries to herself
in her room at home, but the pain lingers into the next day and she cries while on duty at work.
Her body is going to live in America, but her heart is at home.
Cinematically the ship acts as a transition from Ireland to America. Even the color scheme of the
movie changes from dull browns in Ireland to reds and greens when she arrives in America. The
very first night on the ship is hell for Eilis. In a moment of naivety, she eats the soup that is for
dinner. A storm angrily stirs the ocean, sending the boat into a rocking frenzy. This caused the
contents of Eilis stomach to make a reappearance. She becomes visibly paler, almost to the point
of looking like a ghost and her hair has been matted down from her sweat. Her body is racked

The Strange Death Of Silas Deane Summary
Studying history can be an active, often arduous process, dependent on making assumptions with
the evidence available and proving those assumptions to be correct or otherwise. But it can also be
an easy task if done incorrectly, one of cutting corners and assuming falsehoods to be true for the
sake of convenience. This is the way that many historians, amateur or professional, approach
history. Not only does this approach exclude any possibility for well constructed conclusions to be
made, it can also leave the populace ignorant of the truth. In The Strange Death of Silas Deane ,
James West Davidson and Mark Hamilton Lytle argue that history is not merely the act of
collecting data rather of making assumptions about the data through the use of countless rhetorical
questions, paragraphorganization, and a sardonic tone.
The Strange Death of Silas Deane retraces the story of Silas Deane, an early American politician,
and the events that led up to his death. The authors begin by revealing the conclusion that most
historians have made about the case: Deane committed suicide. Then, they steadily disprove that
conclusion with a myriad of facts and interpretations. The essay provides a thorough recount of
Deane s life and argues that Silas didn t commit suicide rather, he was murdered. To give weight to
this hypothesis, the authors draw from reserves of knowledge about Deane and his closest friend,
Edward Bancroft. After investigating Bancroft s life and his relationship with

Literary Analysis Of How Jack Went To Seek His Fortune
1. The genre of How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune can be classified as a fairytale. This is
because of the author s usage of the words Once upon a time.. and the way the characters are
incorporated into the story as Jack seeks his fortune. This story could also qualify as fiction
because this excerpt from How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune is non realistic due to its fairytale
qualities. 2. The exposition of the written text is given when Jack states he is going to seek his
fortune. This detail of the story sets a basis for the plotline and allows the author to begin
introducing characters and a theme for the fairytale. The exposition is stated on the first line
and says, Once on a time there was a boy named Jack, and one morning he started to go and seek
his fortune. This line introduces a sense of adventure and possible conflict along Jack s journey,
which is essential in developing a plot. 3. The rising action of this excerpt from How Jack Went
to Seek His Fortune can best be described as, each time Jack found an animal to join him on his
journey to discover his fortune. This can be believed to be the rising action due to the
development of characters. An example of this can be found when Jack discovers his first
companion, the cat, and it states, He hadn t gone very far before he met a cat. Where are you
going, Jack? said the cat. I am going to seek my fortune. May I go with you? Yes, said Jack, the
more the merrier. So on they went, jiggelty jolt, jiggelty jolt. The author is able to develop a
sense of suspense through the repetition of developing characters. This continues as the dog,
goat, bull, and rooster are added to the story. 4. The climax of the story is found when Jack and
his newfound friends come up upon some robbers in the house the animals and Jack were
planning to occupy that evening. Jack skillfully devises a plan to rid the house of the robbers and
uses his animal friends to help him. With teamwork, the plan becomes a success and they are able
to spend the night in the house the robbers had just fled from. This paragraph from How Jack
Went to Seek His Fortune unravels the climax of the story and allows readers to engage in a
suspenseful event, and it states,

How to Date a Browngirl, Blackgirl, Whitegirl, and Halfie
The short story How to Date a Browngirl, Blackgirl, Whitegirl, and Halfie by Junot Diaz is the
main character, Yunior s, guide to dating girls of different races and the ways to act in order to get
what you want from them. The only thing Yunior seems to want for these girls is sexual acts. This
short story argues that a person s heritage, economic class, and raceaffect how a person identifies
themselves, and how their identity affects how they act towards other people. The pressures a
person may feel from society also has an effect on how a person treats themselves and others. The
pressure and expectations from society are also what makes Yunior think he needs to have sex with

He acts differently towards his friends and other boys his age in the neighborhood. For example,
when his friend refers to the girl Yunior is trying to date as that bitch Yunior only agrees with
him (Diaz 236). He doesn t defend them at all, which is an indication that he doesn t care for
these girls at all, only what they ll do for him. He also says that he will call his friends and let
them know He did it if he does hook up with one of these girls, with no respect for them. This is
indicating that he is trying to hook up with these girls because he feels like his friends expect him
too. Yunior does this because he sees other boys doing these things, and he wants to be like them.
He wants to be the same and be accepted, and that s why he treats these different people in different
ways. The main character also treats girls of different races differently. He wrongly suggests that if
a girl is white, that you will definitely get a hand job before the night is through, if not more
(Diaz 235). He says that white girls are the girls everyone really wants to date, because they are
easy. This is why he does many things that white boys do. He also says that not many white girls
live in his neighborhood, that the locals tend to be brown girls, black girls, or halfies. This is
probably because many of the white people are of a higher economic class then he is. If they are in
a higher economic class then he is, this may

Tex Mex Vs. MexicanAll over the U.S companies and restaurants have made a lot of money
selling Mexican food. In fact, Taco Bell makes about 1.2 to 2.5 million dollars a day! Not just
Taco Bell, but many restaurants and fast food chains try to recreate the authentic tastes and
flavors of Mexican food. Tex Mex is the American version of the food from Mexico. Although it
is all over America, it is most common in the southern states closest to the border of Mexico. Tex
Mex and authentic Mexican food are definitely different. Although there are similarities, you can
only find truly authentic Mexican food in Mexico. Tex Mex is the imitation food of Mexican
food. Tex Mex first spread to Texas in the 1950 s when a lot of immigrants moved to the United
States. Nachos were supposedly first served at a concession at the Dallas State Fair in Texas in
1964. In 1972 a book called The Cuisines of Mexico, was released and made the distinction
between authentic Mexican food and Tex Mex. Diana Kennedy (the author of the book) used the
term Tex Mex and made it popular The term wasn t always used to describe the food, it used to
be an abbreviation for the Texas Mexican Railway. In the early 16th century, Spain invaded
Mexico. Spanish foods had a very big impact on the Mexican cuisine. They introduced sheeps, pigs,
cows, etc. They also brought new products like dairy, garlic, herbs, wheat, spices, and more. Most

Estate Tax Planning Proposal
Estate Tax Planning Current law for estate tax, gift tax, and generation skipping transfer tax is a
35% rate with an exclusion of $5.12 million. This is scheduled to change on January 1, 2013 to a
55% tax rate with an exclusion of $1 million. Due to the scheduled change, it would be advisable
to be very aggressive in tax maximization before December 31, 2012. Pending congressional
action, there is a proposal to for a 45% tax rate with an exclusion of $3.5 million for estate and
generation skipping transfer tax and an exclusion of $1 million for gift tax (General Explanation
of the Administration s fiscal Year 2013 Revenue Proposals, 2012). This proposal is more viable
because it gives a greater exclusion on the estate tax. Even though the tax rate is higher and the
exclusion is lower, it would provide more tax breaks than the scheduled change because the
exclusion is $2.5 million higher. There are two ways of transferring wealth to children and
maximizing the estate taxes. For the year of 2012, a total of $13,000 a year can be given to an

Geographically, the region is near totally ensconced by the Appalachian Mountain range, which
runs from Alabama to Maine. Mountains, rocky hills, and forests dominate the terrain. Outside of
the Huntington Ashland Metropolitan area, most of the countryside is quite rural. Small towns dot
the region, but there is relatively little else. Census and economic data from 1850 and 1860 depict a
region that was still very much unexplored and underdeveloped. Transportation in the state was
limited, meaning that vast portions of it were isolated and cut off from the cultural and economic
hubs of Lexington, Louisville, and the capital city of Frankfort. This relative isolation contributed

Learning Theory, Prior Attachment Experience Within Early...
Within this essay there will be a consideration to one key element in detail, with the intention of
describing a successful mathematics lesson; with reference to relevant learning theory, prior
attachment experience within early years and educational reporters.
A mathematics lesson has many key elements to make it successful within an educational setting,
such as hands on learning, the use of resources and use of assessment. This essay will have a core
focus on children learning through play with regard to Development Matters. (Early Education,
2012).
When planning practical learning activities, practitioners may come across some difficulties with
regards to equal learning opportunities (Atherton, 2013). These issues may include but are not
limited to effective differentiation, assessment and different learning styles. It can be suggested from
observations on attachment, it is apparent that adapting learning activities to suit the needs of all
children can be difficult but these activities can be adapted such as when using number during play,
bigger numbers can be used for the higher ability and smaller numbers for the lower ability, Visser
(1993) concurs, stating that teachers can meet the need for progress by selecting appropriate
teaching methods to match the individual pupil s learning strategies, within a classroom setting.
As children grow they will develop their own, individual learning style and this can be difficult for
teachers to provide for, especially in an

Stress And Its Effects On Health
Introduction
Stress is one of the most common and well known risk factors trivializing one s health. Given how
fast paced modern life is, this makes stress unavoidable. Stress is a negative emotional response,
which is accompanied by biological, physiological, psychological, and emotional changes in the
body.
Stress causes sympathetic activation of the hypothalamus which then acts on the adrenal cortex and
releases the hormones cortisol and adrenaline. These two hormones create what is known as the
fight or flight response. This response causes many bodily changes, which would normally be
needed to deal with emergency situations. Therefore, chronic long term stress over a significant
period of time can really drain the body and can be deleterious to one s health. Stressors can
exploit a person s physiological systems and be detrimental to their health. Thus, it is important for
people to develop ways to cope with stress in an appropriate manner and manage the demands of
situations that are considered stressful.
Yoga is an excellent example of a coping mechanism used to reduce the aversive effects of health.
Yoga helps stimulates both the mind and the body in order to achieve a relaxed and positive
emotional state, which in turn leads to better mental and physical health. Yoga helps improve the
balance of the mind and body by incorporating several relaxation techniques such as stretching,
visualizing, and controlled breathing. This ultimately puts a person in serenity and

make a poignant documentary about the secret longings of everyday Israelans. Yonatan knocks

knocking on people s door he came across a elderly immigrant faded tattoo man named Sergei.
Sergei is from Russia where he struggled with having groups of KGBs breaking their home. Once
Yoni welcomed his self into the man s home he noticed a goldfish. Not just any goldfish, a wish
granting goldfish. Sergei thought Yoni was going to steal the goldfish so he murdered Yoni with a

two already. The first wish that the goldfish granted was to cure Sergei s sister. His sister had
lung cancer. The goldfish cured his sister in an instant. The second wish Sergei used on Sveta s
son. Sveta is Sergei s ex girlfriend. What Sergei doesn t know is that Sveta is now dating a
Moroccon cop. The third wish he wants to save it for something special. Since the goldfish

The Analysis Of The Registration Process For A Pharmacist
The critical analysis of the registration process for a pharmacist in another Member State
registering to practice in the Republic of Ireland will be facilitated through an understanding of the
influence of the European Union and a comparison of the registration procedures outlined by both
the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. The agreement of ROI to the European Treaty in
1973 on 1 January has had and has a profound effect on all legislation including the area of
pharmacy. EU legislation predominantly comes in the form of directives or regulations.
Regulations are considered mandatory in their totality where as directives allow for implementation
into national law sanctioning countries to incorporate it using their own methods... Show more

The improvements were necessary in order to comply with EU directives specifically directive
2005/85/EC which frameworks the free movement of professionals across member states and
exemplifies that previous implementation was inadequate. It is now acknowledged and regulated
by the Statutory Instrument no. 489/2008 (Ireland 2008). The authors Weedle and Clarke (2011);
Appelbe et al. (2013) have synopsised the criteria which must be met in order to be eligible for the
EU route of registration with regards the directive 2005/85/EC to practice in the ROI and
subsequently the UK. Firstly the applicant must be a citizen of a member state within the EU/EEA.
The applicant must then provide evidence of their qualification in pharmacy. The education/training
prerequisites are outlined in Article 44 of the EU directive (Directive 2005/85/EC). If the criterion
there is met then automatic recognition is permitted. Alternatively one must demonstrate a
minimum of three uninterrupted years of the past five years in a regulated pharmaceutical
discipline/area as mentioned in Article 45. This form of entry is as a result of acquired rights
provision. This is for those who cannot comply with the above mentioned training requisite. This
maybe as a result of the applicant possessing the qualification in pharmacy in a

completely empty. If we receive a call anytime at or after the Mix Spoon stage, it ll take us 26 +
additional 10 minutes. This includes 8 minutes at the Mix Spoon stage and a 2 minute wait to
finish baking the previous batch. Therefore, it would take us 36 minutes to fill a rush order.
(Please refer to Table 1.0 on page 4 for details). 2. At a steady state we d be able to produce 6

So, it is safe to assume a discount can be given, yet we cannot provide an exact figure as to how
much. 5. 2 Trays and 1 Electric Mixer. 6. There are a few changes we can make to the process to
increase efficiency. Buying another oven (of the same size) that allows you to put in 2 trays
during the Load Bake process will increase the process from 22 dozens to 30 dozens or 26.6%
after four hours. Also, by having customer pay during the packing period (2 minutes), we would
circumvent time wasted in the pay period (1minute). 1 (extra credit). Working alone wouldn t
impact the first order. But in case of 2 orders in a row, the second order would be 2 minutes
delayed. I could only start the 2nd order when the first would be baking (1 minutes delay) and
after mixing and spooning I would have to wait 1 minute before loading and baking the second
order. It would then delay continuously the next orders. 2 (extra credit). We would be offset by 2
minutes so we wouldn t be able to start the rush order right away since we d still be fulfilling
previous cookie orders. 3 (extra credit). We would have to charge at least 27% more to rush an
order, since we d be increasing wait times for 4 proceeding customers after customer number 2
(3,4,5,6). Still, this only compensates monetary costs and fails to take into account non monetary
/intangible costs such as customer loyalty and satisfaction which may incur further future costs.

Black Sunday By Lauren Tarish Summary
In the articles Black Sunday and True Teen Story from History: The Dust Bowl both by Lauren
Tarish have similarities and differences. There are many similarities between these two
perspectives. From the story True Teen Story from History: The Dust Bowl it stated on page 6,
In the sky thousands of birds, squawking and shrieking and cawing, were frantically flying south.
Hundreds of rabbits were scampering across the ground. The animals seemed terrified like they
were trying to escape. In both of these articles it shows how terrified the animals were when Black
Sunday was on the horizon. The animals were choking on the dust. Animals were most likely
scared because they have never seen this big of a dust storm before. The same article... Show more

Catherine and her family didn t struggle through the Dust Bowl and Black Sunday . Ike s family
was not a fortunate as Catherine s family was. In the article True Teen Story from History: The
Dust Bowl on page 7 it states, When Ike was growing up, daily life was often a struggle for him
and his family. His house was a dugout: a one room, home built into a hill, with walls made of
sod, or soil. He shared this room with his parents and his eight siblings. Ike didn t have a
luxurious life or home. Catherines family had the amenities like a house not a dugout. Ike s
father died when he was only 12, so Ike went to work so they could have money. Catherine didn t
have to work at that age either. That same article explicitly said, Ike s mom tired to cool their
dugout by dousing it with water, which quickly sizzled into steam. During the Dust Bowl they also
went through a drought that would bring temperatures 115 degrees. This was hard temperature to
live out in a dugout. Catherine s family didn t have to go through pouring liquids on the walls to
keep their home cool. Ike s family struggled much more than Catherine s family did in Black
Sunday and the Dust

State, Political Economy And Governance STATE, POLITICAL ECONOMY AND GOVERNANCE ASSIGNMENT WORK Submitted by: Mohit kumar M.A. (P), SOCW10137 QUESTION: encountering state and citizenship in your everyday life . ANSWER: Definitions of State: Many scholars have defined state in various ways. Even today modern day scholars attempt to define state taking into account its modern functions. In 4th century B.C. Aristotle, who is regarded as `Father of Political Science‟ had defined state. According to him, state is a union of families and villages having for its end a perfect and self sufficing life, by which we mean a happy and honourable life. According to some scholars, this definition is so comprehensive that it can hardly be improved upon. Aristotle‟s definition communicates the primary objectives of the state however we must study some more definitions of the State. The Worst Sort Of Husband By Daniel Defoe The Worst Sort of Husband Daniel Defoe The Worst Sort of Husband by Daniel Defoe was written to explain the different types of husbands women deal with and their personalities. This analysis goes in depth on how diverse husbands can be. There are five different husbands described in the analysis: the Drunken Husband, the Debauched Husband, the Fighting Husband, and the Extravagant Husband. Each husband described was a male s point of view of men for a sober woman s knowledge on who she wants to marry. The author, Daniel Defoe was an English writer that lived in the 1700s. Daniel Defoe did not always have this name because he changed his name to something that he personally thought was professional. Defoe wanted his name to sound more like a gentleman s name and that is the name he chose. Defoe was a very famous writer in the 1700s in London, England and was acknowledged by all his written work. In today s society, the emphasis on organic food and conventional food is quite big. Many say that organic food is much healthier and more nutritious than conventional. Milk is an important food in many people s diets, it is essentially the food that babies grow up on and it is important to know what is healthier. It is defined that organic milk comes from cows that have not been treated with antibiotics and given hormones, and have been fed at least 30% of its diet on pasture. Conventional milk can be produced the same way, but it does not have to follow the strict rules. It is important to determine whether organic milk is worth the money and if it is healthier than conventional milk. Several studies have been analyzed and they split in opinion whether organic milk is healthier. The studies that support the yes argument, state that organic milk is healthier because it has higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid and О± linolenic acid; of minerals such as selenium; and the ration of n 6 to n 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is lower. I d like to start on describing my personal favourite character of the movie, John Bender (Played by Judd Nelson). He talks with confidence as he says what he pleases to either to annoy or anger others for his own amusement and when he has to, stand up for what/who he believes in. Judd Nelson acted out the character of John brilliantly as you can really imagine Judd in real life truly acting this way as he has given such a realistic performance that is both entertaining and true. One of our eldest and most memorable female rulers known today is Queen Cleopatra VII. Queen Cleopatra VII accumulated her power through manipulating other powerful people. Cleopatra had the power of beauty, charm, and intelligence all wrapped around her finger. Various powerful women attempt to diminish or conceal their femininity in fear of being seen inferior to a male opponent; Cleopatra however, learned to thrive and relish in her feminine charm and used it as her ultimate weapon for success in such a male dominant world. Being one of the few female rulers in the Mediterranean, it was very easy for a woman to be seen as weak and powerless simply due to her gender. Before her first interactions with both men, Cleopatra was not in a powerfully stable state. Both men came into her life in times of great need of political aid. She sought Julius Caesar in the hope that he would reinstate the throne she had recently lost. After Julius Caesar s death, Marc Antony served as a Roman protector for Cleopatra and Egypt. • 9. Prayer On The Life Of A Minister There is no substitute for prayer in the life of a minister. It is something that has to be an intentional part of every day, but this is not always an easy task. Even Jesus had to work to incorporate prayer into his daily routine rising early and going away from the others to spend time with God (Mark 1:35 37). If a minister is not careful, finding time to pray can feel like a burden, yet, it is one of the most precious privileges that was bought for mankind through the blood of JesusChrist. Prayerfor a minister goes beyond the developing of a vibrant relationship with God. A Pastor is called to pray the prayers of the people, he is to pray with the sick and poor and he is to teach his people the importance of prayer and how to incorporate it into their daily lives. A Foundation of Prayer The Bible states that there will always be people in need, and it is our duty to reach out and help to the best of our ability (Deuteronomy 15:11). Hebrews 13:2 is a reminder not to miss an opportunity to show kindness to a stranger, it just might be an angel that is being cared for. Matthew 25:34 36 gives further clarification on how to serve the needy; For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me. Blake ACCT 302 B01 LUO 06OCT14 The Importance of Ethics in Accounting Abstract: Ethics are of the utmost concern within accounting and business at large. Ethics are the standard by which we make moral choices and decisions in our lives. In business and accounting, ethics give external users such as stakeholders, venture capitalists, and others a measure by which they can weigh financial statements and information to see if they are accurately portrayed. There are many different standards which govern the ethics of the accounting profession such as United States GAAP and European IFRS. Legislation, such as the Sarbanes Oxley Act, has been passed to ensure that these ethics are maintained. Introduction: Ethics are the backbone of the accounting profession and are a subject of utmost importance within the field of business. Ethics within the accounting profession ensure that financial information is presented truthfully. Accounting ethics deals with specific questions on whether a given business practices is acceptable or not. Though this sentiment would likely be agreed upon by a majority of people, the logistics of how exactly to carry out this punishment and procure justice are widely debated. Recently, international courts and tribunals have been set up to try individuals for war crimes and bring justice to the victims of these war crimes. However, these international courts and tribunals are often ineffective. Throughout this paper, I will explain why I agree with Adam Smith that domestic or hybrid courts are preferable over an international court system. Since justice is a concept that differs amongst every culture and group, it is difficult to empirically measure the effectiveness of an international court in regard to providing justice. However, supporters of international courts measure their success in ways other than justice brought. For example, if a group sees that other criminals are being tried, sentenced, and punished appropriately by an international court, one might assume that this group would be less inclined to carry out similar crimes. According to Hyeran Jo and Beth Simmons in their 2016 study on international criminal courts, a large study affiliated with the World Bank based on developing countries found that higher conviction rates tended to reduce crime, even controlling for the death penalty (Jo and Simmons, 447). Theoretically, an international court such as the International Criminal Courtcould deter groups and individuals from committing war crimes based on this criminological data, if these individuals and groups saw that the court prosecuted effectively and thoroughly. However, there are many instances that show an international trial is not effective nor thorough. As mentioned earlier, the Khmer Rouge tribunal lasted for a decade and only three individuals received a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tools that can help us by adding a tempo to our measurements are tempo scales. These scales will make sure that execution times will be calibrated and that we become standard times. Standard times can be executed by any valid employee in a social acceptable space of time. Bedaux scale This tempo scale was designed by the Frenchman Bedaux. He saw that not all employees were working at the same performance level. A score of 60 is the level every valid employee should be able to perform for a complete week, 8 hours per day. • 21. Gun Laws And Gun Control Body 1: England passed a law banning all handguns in 1997 following a school shooting(Malcolm). However, in 2002, handgun crime has more than doubled by nearly thirty five percent since then(Malcolm). There are two flaws in the idea that England s strict gun law is responsible for its low levels of crime. First, violence and armed crime was low before gun controls were implemented. Secondly, the long decline in the interpersonal violence ended in 1953, and violent crime has been escalating ever since then, despite increasingly strict gun regulations(Malcolm). The first serious gun control was imposed in 1920 not because of fear of crime, but rather due to fear of revolution(Malcolm). In the beginning of World War I, the government faced massive labor disruption, feared a Bolshevik revolution, and worried about the return of thousands of soldiers brutalized by an especially ferocious war. The new act required a prospective gun owner to obtain a certificate from the local police, who were responsible for determining whether the applicant was in good standing for possession of a firearm. Parliament was assured that the sole intention of the law was to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals and other dangerous persons.(Malcolm) Despite the fact that laws were implemented to remove guns from citizens, crime still increased, and most of the citizens had no way to defend themselves when held at range from a deadly combatant. • 26. The Strange Death Of Silas Deane Summary Studying history can be an active, often arduous process, dependent on making assumptions with the evidence available and proving those assumptions to be correct or otherwise. But it can also be an easy task if done incorrectly, one of cutting corners and assuming falsehoods to be true for the sake of convenience. This is the way that many historians, amateur or professional, approach history. Not only does this approach exclude any possibility for well constructed conclusions to be made, it can also leave the populace ignorant of the truth. In The Strange Death of Silas Deane , James West Davidson and Mark Hamilton Lytle argue that history is not merely the act of collecting data rather of making assumptions about the data through the use of countless rhetorical questions, paragraphorganization, and a sardonic tone. The Strange Death of Silas Deane retraces the story of Silas Deane, an early American politician, and the events that led up to his death. The authors begin by revealing the conclusion that most historians have made about the case: Deane committed suicide. Then, they steadily disprove that conclusion with a myriad of facts and interpretations. The essay provides a thorough recount of Deane s life and argues that Silas didn t commit suicide rather, he was murdered. To give weight to this hypothesis, the authors draw from reserves of knowledge about Deane and his closest friend, Edward Bancroft. After investigating Bancroft s life and his relationship with ... A mathematics lesson has many key elements to make it successful within an educational setting, such as hands on learning, the use of resources and use of assessment. • 40. Stress And Its Effects On Health Introduction Stress is one of the most common and well known risk factors trivializing one s health. Given how fast paced modern life is, this makes stress unavoidable. Stress is a negative emotional response, which is accompanied by biological, physiological, psychological, and emotional changes in the body. Stress causes sympathetic activation of the hypothalamus which then acts on the adrenal cortex and releases the hormones cortisol and adrenaline. These two hormones create what is known as the fight or flight response. This response causes many bodily changes, which would normally be needed to deal with emergency situations. Therefore, chronic long term stress over a significant period of time can really drain the body and can be deleterious to one s health. Stressors can exploit a person s physiological systems and be detrimental to their health. Thus, it is important for people to develop ways to cope with stress in an appropriate manner and manage the demands of situations that are considered stressful. Yoga is an excellent example of a coping mechanism used to reduce the aversive effects of health. Yoga helps stimulates both the mind and the body in order to achieve a relaxed and positive emotional state, which in turn leads to better mental and physical health. Yoga helps improve the balance of the mind and body by incorporating several relaxation techniques such as stretching, visualizing, and controlled breathing. This ultimately puts a person in serenity and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The agreement of ROI to the European Treaty in 1973 on 1 January has had and has a profound effect on all legislation including the area of pharmacy. Firstly the applicant must be a citizen of a member state within the EU/EEA. The applicant must then provide evidence of their qualification in pharmacy. If we receive a call anytime at or after the Mix Spoon stage, it ll take us 26 + additional 10 minutes. This includes 8 minutes at the Mix Spoon stage and a 2 minute wait to finish baking the previous batch. Therefore, it would take us 36 minutes to fill a rush order. (Please refer to Table 1.0 on page 4 for details). 2. At a steady state we d be able to produce 6 (process capacity) x 4 (hours) = 24 dozen per night. There are a few changes we can make to the process to increase efficiency. Buying another oven (of the same size) that allows you to put in 2 trays during the Load Bake process will increase the process from 22 dozens to 30 dozens or 26.6% after four hours. Also, by having customer pay during the packing period (2 minutes), we would circumvent time wasted in the pay period (1minute). 1 (extra credit). Working alone wouldn t impact the first order. But in case of 2 orders in a row, the second order would be 2 minutes delayed. I could only start the 2nd order when the first would be baking (1 minutes delay) and after mixing and spooning I would have to wait 1 minute before loading and baking the second order. It would then delay continuously the next orders. 2 (extra credit). We would be offset by 2 minutes so we wouldn t be able to start the rush order right away since we d still be fulfilling previous cookie orders. 3 (extra credit). We would have to charge at least 27% more to rush an order, since we d be increasing wait times for 4 proceeding customers after customer number 2 (3,4,5,6). Still, this only compensates monetary costs and fails to take into account non monetary /intangible costs such as customer loyalty and satisfaction which may incur further future costs. In the article True Teen Story from History: The Dust Bowl on page 7 it states, When Ike was growing up, daily life was often a struggle for him and his family. His house was a dugout: a one room, home built into a hill, with walls made of sod, or soil. He shared this room with his parents and his eight siblings. Ike didn t have a luxurious life or home. Catherines family had the amenities like a house not a dugout. Ike s father died when he was only 12, so Ike went to work so they could have money. Catherine didn t have to work at that age either. That same article explicitly said, Ike s mom tired to cool their dugout by dousing it with water, which quickly sizzled into steam. During the Dust Bowl they also went through a drought that would bring temperatures 115 degrees. This was hard temperature to live out in a dugout. Catherine s family didn t have to go through pouring liquids on the walls to keep their home cool. Ike s family struggled much more than Catherine s family did in Black Sunday and the Dust ...
