Personal Health Record And Patient Portal Use
Personal Health Record and Patient Portal Use
The Personal Health Records (PHRs) are the innovative solution to the problems associated with
fragmented communication and lack of interaction among the Medical Record Systems (EMRs)
(Henriksen et al., 2008). It allows patients to access their healthcare data in the secure environment
and increases patient s engagement in medical care. The PHRs are also known as patient portals.
They help patients in getting relevant medical data from their provider. In spite of recent policy
efforts to develop the usage of health informational technologies and increase the accessibility of
PHRs in different health institutions, PHR adoption level remains relatively low overall.
The PHR is defined as based on the Internet set of tools that makes it possible for people to
coordinate and access their lifelong health data, and makes some parts of it available and
accessible to those who need it (Segall et al., 2011). PHRs may be useful, especially, for people
with chronic diseases who expect to receive some advantages from using PHRs to learn and
monitor their health problems. PHRs allow care coordination among clinicians, ensure patients the
opportunity to access and search their medical information, support them in managing health, and
make them be active participants in the decision making process. The early adopters of PHRs
could be chronically ill patients because most of them are active users of the internet and
computers. Therefore, PHRs

Into Thin Air Analysis
Imagine yourself, a lover for mountaineering, desired to attain the top of Mt. Everest, but suddenly
the government puts this sport as illegal. How would you react? Well, a majority of people say
that mountaineering should be forbidden because of an incident that happened in 2014 where a
huge wedge of ice fell off and killed 16 Nepalese out of the 25 that were there. I understand that
many of the people that explore till the top of the mountain know the risks and are able to
understand them and for that, I believe that mountaineeringshould not be illegal. Therefore, I am
going to explain reasons why it should not be prohibited.
While mountain climbing is a dangerous sport, the chances of death have been reduced
significantly. Jon Krakauer, author of Into Thin Air, has determined the ratio of deaths caused
because of mountaineering has now dropped from 1 death for every 4 attempts to 1:60 (Source
one). It is seen that because of the development of items over the years, many of the symptoms that
climbers usually experience include: high altitude cerebral edema and high altitude pulmonary
edema, have been prevented with the use of special steroids. Also, bottled oxygen has been seen on

Nepalese guides were killed from the exact wedge of ice which led to the question if

ve been avoided. If Brice and his group escaped out safely, then why didn t they tell anyone about
the enormous wedge of ice that averted them from going any further? If there was a flag that said

situation, Brice should be the one to be

Euthyphro Dilemma Analysis
The Euthyphro Dilemma is a very interesting dilemma, the basis of it is that it deals with the
concept of pious(doing something in the name of gods/God), is something considered being
pious if it s loved by the gods/God or is it loved by the gods/God because it s pious? This is a
dilemma because can it brings up who decides what is righteous and what is not righteous. Do the
gods define what is righteous, if so what god, it can t be all since the clearly disagree with each
other. And do you believe there is really a war amongst the gods, with terrible feuds, even, and
battles and many other such things, such as are recounted by the poets and the holy artists, and that

Finding the time and resources to keep Twitter updated can often be a challenge for the average
business owner. So I m always on the look out for tools that can help with the process and take
away a lot of the grunt work.
One way to do this is through the use of RSS or content feeds. RSS stands for Really Simple
Syndication . An RSS feed is basically a file containing syndicated content that s readable by
software.
For example, most blogs have RSS feeds automatically built in (yourblog.com/feed if it s on
WordPress), along with a lot of other sites such as YouTube and SlideShare.
This can make the use of RSS very useful in keeping your Twitter account updated with relevant
content, while leaving you free to make other updates, engage with your followers, and so on.
So how can you use RSS feeds to help power your Twitter account? Here are 3 different ways to
approach it.
1. IFTTT
IFTTT stands for If This Then That , and allows you to set up automation tasks consisting of
triggers that automate certain follow on actions.

Triple Entente Alliance
In the Great War, there was a lot going on; on top of soldiers losing their lives on the battlefield.
The alliances that were built for the war, were ultimately fighting for the want of power. Countries
like Germany and Austria Hungary wanted eventually be in control of the people and win more
land to be able to expand. This caused a lot of tension with the Triple Entente, which was an
alliance between France, Great Britain, and Russia. With all of them waiting to be the best of the

protected by Great Britain, so Germany s plan quickly got attacked and both Great Britain and
Belgium started a war. This was a horrific type of war, soldiers were forced to build these trenches

The Zika Virus Through Latin America And The Caribbean
The most recent outbreak of the Zika Virus through Latin America and the Caribbean, and its
association with microcephaly in newborns has attracted significant attention from researchers and
health specialists. In 2013 and 2015, large outbreaks of the virus were respectively reported in
French Polynesia and Brazil. In 1947, The Zika viruswas first identified in Uganda in Rhesus
monkeys. It was then identified in humans in 1952 in some parts of Uganda and the United
Republic of Tanzania The virus, also known as ZIKV, is an arbovirus of the Flaviviridae family,
and is closely related to dengue, yellow fever and Chikungunya viruses (Al Qahtani et al., 2016.);
an arbovirus refers to a group of viruses transmitted by arthropod vectors (MedicineNet.com,
2016). The Zika disease is caused by the Zika virus that is primarily transmitted through a bite of
an infected Aedes mosquito. Though the incubation period of Zika is not clear, it is estimated to
be around 2 7 days after the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito (World Health Organization, 2016).
Symptomatic signs of the disease are mild fever, skin rashes, malaise, conjunctivitis and muscle and
joint pain (World Health Organization, 2016). Because the virus has mild symptoms and no
associated fatalities, it goes undiagnosed in several cases. In newborns, however, the virus causes
neurological and developmental conditions, including but not limited to Guillain Barre syndrome
and microcephaly. To fully understand the mechanisms of

Failure Of Market Failure
Market failure happens when the price mechanism fails to allocate scarce resources efficiently or
when the operation of market forces lead to a net social welfare loss. Market failure exists when
the competitive outcome of markets is not satisfactory from the point of view of society. In
economics, market failureis a situation in which the allocation of goods and services is not
efficient. That is, there exists another conceivable outcome where an individual may be made better
off without making someone else worse off.
Market failures can be viewed as scenarios where individuals pursuit of pure self interest leads to
results that are not efficient that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
BREAKING DOWN Market Failure : Market failures have negative effects on the economy
because an optimal allocation of resources is not attained. In other words, the social costs of
producing the good or service (all of the opportunity cost of the input resources used in its
creation) are not minimized, and this results in a waste of some resources. Take, for example, the
common argument against minimum wage laws. Minimum wage laws set wages above the going
market clearing wage in an attempt to raise market wages. Critics argue that this higher wage cost
will cause employers to hire fewer minimum wage employees than before the law was
implemented. As a result, more minimum wage workers are left unemployed, creating a social cost
and resulting in market failure.

Nationalism, a political or social philosophy in which the prosperity of a nation state as an
existence is considered supreme or more important than anything else. The primary duty and loyalty
should be toward the nation state. The love for one s country often reflected dominance and power
as people were able to unite toward common good. Furthermore, republic governments were
reestablished a result of Nationalism. Influential leaders often sparked the fire inside the hearts
of many in order to bring them together for a common good. Garibaldi was referred to a the

Everyone had a role during the French Revolution whether it was going forth into battle, making
arms, transporting food, serving hospitals, preparing lint from old linens, or gathering in public
places to raise the courage of the warriors. People were willing to contribute so much in the hopes
that they could finally live in a democratic society. The majority would finally get their their way,
creating a happier group of people. Simon Bolivar was another great leader that had his eyes set on
destroying the spanish and reestablishing the republican government(Doc 6). With San Martin s

The War of 1812 and Canadian History
The War of 1812 was an influential event, which marks its place in Canadian history. The heroic
efforts of Canadians helped to define who they are, determine what side of the border they live on,
and the flag they salute today. Therefore, The War of 1812 is the most significant historical event
that lay down the foundation for a nation. It united segregated colonies, secured borders with a
strong militia, and achieved the fundamental objective of defense.
Firstly, many groups of colonies worked in isolation because of different incentives. However
during the War of 1812, the small communities from different locations of British North America
united, securing relations. Prior to the war, many settlers in Upper Canada did not feel loyal to
Great Britain. Some were United Empire Loyalists, who had arrived from the North after the
American Revolution and believed that they would support and fight alongside with the Americans
instead of British North America. Others were American and had felt no connection towards the
Crown. But when the declaration for the war was given, both Upper and Lower Canada united and
came together collectively to fight against a common enemy, for the sake of their land. The
Montreal Gazette editor reports on the entire population of the city coming together to defend its
frontier:
All classes of individuals ... have flown to the standard, with the determination of supporting their

A Room Of One s Own Analysis
A Room of One s Own is a novel written by Virginia Woolf. In the story, Woolf is arguing that
women need money, privacy, and education to write successfully. Throughout her essay, she
analyzes several different female figures from the past and during her own time to give her
argument leverage. One of these figures is a fictional character named Judith Shakespeare, a sister
to William Shakespeare. Even though Judith is fictional, she is necessary to A Room of One s Own.
The main focus of A Room of One s Own is to demonstrate that women need money, privacy, and
an education to write works of good quality. This is directly stated in the very beginning, All I
could do was to offer you an opinion upon one minor point a woman must have money and a
room of her own if she is to write fiction; (Woolf, A Room of One s Own). Woolf does not believe
that society has changed enough from the 1500s for women to write successfully. In order to prove
her point, she begins the novel by analyzing Judith, a woman who had absolutely no resources.
Judith Shakespeare, unlike famous writers such as Jane Austen, is unable to achieve any of her
dreams because of the circumstances of her life. In order to further the idea that the problem
regarding female writers is lack of resources and not lack of talent, Woolf writes that Judith and
Shakespeare had the same amount of talent, as seen here, She was as adventurous, as imaginative,
as agog to see the world as he [William Shakespeare] was (Woolf, A

the teenagers of this country. He said that the two most common drugsbeing used by teenagers are
Marijuana also known by its street name Weed and Pain Killers. The article offered some decent
explanation as to why the drug use is problematic. It was stated in the article that, A report
released Wednesday by The Partnership at Drugfree.org showed that heavy marijuana use among
teenagers is up 80 percent, with one in 10 teens reporting that they use the drug at least 20 times a
month. As it s stated in the numbers, an increase of 80% in anything is a pretty huge dramatic
turn. An 80% increase in the use of marijuana; not just the use of it in a recreational way, but also
a heavy use of it. It also stated above that one in ten teens reported to be using this drug at least 20
times in a month.
Also in the article was another drug that causes concern to our teenager s futures, Painkiller. In the
article, Painkiller was mostly emphasized on because it was more harmful in my opinion than
marijuana. The article informed the reader that in 2010, over 5.1 million people in the United
States took painkillers without any medical reasons or use. The article by Dr. Alvarez says that,

Generalized Anxiety Disorder ( Adhd ) Essay
Anxiety, or commonly referred to as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is when a person has
excessive worry about a variety of topics (Carrol 2014). When a person has generalized anxiety
disorder, they process a fear in their mind on different types of issues that are occurring in their

the different types of generalized anxietydisorders that people face on a daily basis, mathematics
anxiety is a type of generalized anxiety disorder(Carroll 2014). Mathematics anxiety is the feeling
of worry, frustration, agitation, and fearof failure with regard to taking a math class, completing

that affects students in schools, and can have an ultimate effect on them in their future. With the

The Flaws and Shortcomings of African Historiography
History is formed through a combination of personal experiences, psychological state, personal
objectives, relation with the interviewer, position in society and many other factors that cannot be
scientifically monitored and accounted for. Thus, no historian has been able to filter through the
many layers they need to in order to arrive at an accurate account of history. What personal

Budget Plan
Introduction Over the past month, we were given out an assignment to create a budget plan for a
given possible situation in our future. We had a gross yearly income of $43000 (or a monthly
one of $3583.33) and were given a series of categories that we would have to budget the expenses
for. After finishing the project, we had to answer a series of questions reflecting on our experiences
and learning. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and found it genuinely eye opening.
Savings
At the end of the budget plan, I had $869.34 left for savings. After comparing this to the numbers
of some other students in class, I believe that I did well in my goal to have a good amount of
money left over. I understand that having money to be able to set away is extremely important,

I was not expecting the cost of Food to be so high, weekly or monthly. I ended up cutting down

basic couches were over $400 and the simplest table sets were over $500 was very intimidating.
Even if I managed to find some items at cheaper prices and on sale, I was still shocked to see that
the total was almost $1000 more than my monthly income. I believe the most valuable lesson I
learned was that we live in a very expensive world, and that almost everything is more expensive

The Project Managers (PMs) incorporated the doctors advice into the WTIS project plans while
setting predetermined deadlines for implementation to provide a good balance between
consultation and the planning group processes. The project team took the advice and created
assessment tools that required medical staff s judgment in the important decision for each
patient (Healthcare Project Management, 2013). The processes arrived at desired result by
repeating rounds of analysis or cycles of medical operations. The objective was to bring the
desired decision closer to discovery with iteration. The iterative process can be used where the
decision is not easily revocable or where the consequences of revocation could be costly (Business
Dictionary, n.d). To maintain equilibrium in areas of appropriateness, point of care decision
support, and capacity, processes were improved after each cycle of testing which optimized

Essay on The American Indian Movement
The American Indian Movement is an organization in the United States that attempts to bring

for better protection and care for the American Indians and their families. They have been changing
the American perception of Indians since the late 1960 s, as well as aiding our awareness of their
existence.
The AIM was founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota by Dennis Banks and Clyde Bellecourt, mainly to
stop the police brutality and other violence going on within the Indian communities. In the 1950 s

The AIM visited a Catholic church, a trading post, and a post office and had declared the small
village an independent nation. The trials were held in St. Paul Minnesota, and most of the
defendants who were charged were not found guilty. In fact, very little of the defendants got
sentenced for charges that were directly related to the takeover of Wounded Knee. However,
there were many people who are or were doing jail time for other AIM activities and protests.
After the AIM members occupied the village they took up arms and that s when they federal
government moved in, trying to defend American soil. The occupation lasted 71 days and two
AIM members were killed in the small battle. Another trial involving the AIM was the Ana Mae
Aquash trial. Anna Mae Aquash, an AIM member, was found dead in a ravine on February 24,
1976, Wanblee, South Dakota. She had participated in the 1972 Trail Of Broken Treaties, and

them in for fingerprinting to identify the body, for she was not recognized by anyone, and the

Reflections At Keppel Bay Analysis
In the lecture The language of Architecture by Daniel Libeskind, he talks about communicating
through light, proportion and material and shares with us his insights and projects that he has
worked on or his work in progress.
Reflections at Keppel bay presents a radical project with the idea of creating a home that is
unique, different from the sense of conformity and overpopulation that is observed in residential
developments. The double curvature of the structure is a functional idea which allows every level
to lie in a different space, creating a staggered effect; residences are not seen from the same
viewpoint or are located next to each other. This gives a sense of individuality for each residential
space. The double curvature is adorned in anodized aluminium that creates a lustrous surface and

Lela Vernon s Components Of The Creole Culture In Belize
Culture comes within language, symbols, values and beliefs. These things define what a culture
is like. There are many cultures in the world but only specific ones are within a society. Here in
Belize there are many but the one that will be elaborated is the creole culture. Lela Vernon was a
Belizean who was a Krioland promoted it in everything she did. For instance, she talked, lived and
song using the Kriol culture. She contributed a lot of things to the creole culture here in Belize.
Lela Vernon expresses components of Belizean culture by showing them while singing. For
instance, the words she uses in her songs. The song Ah Waahn Noa Hoo Seh Kriol Noh Ga No

Themes Of The Godfather
Chapter 1
Mario Puzo: Introduction
Mario Puzo was an American Screenwriter and Author who is best known for his Novel which
was later adapted into one of the most famous movie series of all times The Godfather.
Mario Puzo was born on October 15,1920 in an area of New York known as Hell s Kitchen.
Mario s Father was an illiterate and poor immigrant who abandoned Mario and his mother during
Mario s early teens as he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was institutionalized. Mario s
mother wanted Mario to be a railroad clerk but Mario had took a liking to visiting the libraries
and read different works of literature.Later on Mario worked as a railroad switchboard attendant to

Puzo s early novels, The Dark Arena and The Fortunate Pilgrim, exhibit the realistic narrative
style typical of his later fiction and are considered minor classics of Italian American literature.
The Dark Arena talks about an American soldier who came back to a occupied Germany after the
Second World War. Introducing the theme of violent retribution, Puzo s protagonist kills a black
market drug supplier to show his rage at government , corruption in postwar Europe, and his own
failure to secure lifesaving medication for his German girlfriend. In The Fortunate Pilgrim, Puzo
takes us to Hell s kitchen and talks about the experiences of an Italian woman who struggles to
surmount poverty and crime. Though extolling her courage, cunning, and traditional values Puzo s
description of petty criminal activity in the poor Italian American neighbourhood offers ironic
justification for the life of crime as an alternate means of achieving the American Dream. The
themes that are central to Mario Puzos Godfather are criminal legitimacy and revenge, in which
Puzo chronicles the ascent of the Corleone Mafia family under the leadership of Don Vito Corleone,
a criminal mastermind, and his sons. Drawing parallels to American corporate structure, Don Vito s
benevolent authority is founded on supreme organizational control, calculated judgment, and swift
retaliation against all enemies of the family, including traitors and the incompetent within the clan
as well as members of opposing factions. In The Godfather Puzo begins to explore the dubious
status of organized crime as a self sufficient social entity governed by its own hallowed customs
and rigid codes of behavior, particularly personal honour and loyalty. The Sicilian is regarded as a
sequel to The Godfather, Puzo revisits the Corleone family.

Urticaria Summary
The article Dissociation Between History and Challenge in Patients with Physical Urticaria within
the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology discusses a group of seventy six individuals
referred to the National Institutes of Health with a diagnosis of physical urticaria previous received
by either an allergist, pediatrician, dermatologist, or an internist. The article begins with a well
explained definition of physical urticaria and includes statistics for its prevalence in society. It states
that It is estimated that 0.5% of the population has physically induced urticaria. . . The authors

This article does well to examine the seventy six individuals and their reactions to the challenge
testing, however other than mentioning in a table that some participants had previously been
tested it does not go into detail about the precision of that testing or the depth of it. The majority
of the participants original diagnoses were accurate, however a significant portion were not.
This left me a bit curious on how the physicians of these individuals were able to properly
medicate and assist in treatment. My opinion on this topic however is a bit biased as I suffer
from aquagenic urticaria. In my experience physicians have not had an adequate way of testing
for my particular diagnosis or most physical urticaria. Consequently, I have been misdiagnosed
with exercise induced urticaria as well as cholinergic urticaria in the past. The article did explain
that the research done by the doctors and nurses of this particular study led them to conclude that
the different types of physical urticaria can be difficult to pinpoint when it comes to causes and
subgroups. This I imagine would also make it difficult to treat, which is an added burden
individuals with this diagnosis do not need since they are already in most cases dealing with
lifestyle changes and other

Altar Of Zeus Essay
The Altar of Zeus is a giant monument constructed during the reign of King Eumenes II (The Altar
of Zeus: Pergamon), which located on a terrace of the Acropolis in Pergamon. Since the Pergamene
King regarded his country as the successor of the Greek culture, there were numerous sculptural
monuments built to commemorate their military achievement and declare their roles as inheritors
of Athens. The Altar of Zeusis one of them, as well as the library and the sanctuary of Athena that
are located in the upper part of the altar on the Acropolis (Figure 1, map). Even though the Altar of

The several times of confrontation with Gauls were the most important parts of their victories and
bronze sculptural groups had made to memorialize the defeat of Gauls. Thus, the Altar of Zeus
might be the biggest monument they built for their victories. King Eumenes II, on the other hand,
was the crucial leader on the battlefield due to his sagacity and resourcefulness, who succeed his
father and brought his kingdom unparalleled growth (81). One thing interesting to notice that, in a
vital war at which the Pergamon incorporated the territory of Gauls, the leading military
commander instructed the sailors to collect many poisonous snakes and then throw them on the
decks of Pergamene ships. This impressive experience might be the prime stimuli for the
numerous presentations of giant snakes on the friezes of Altar of Zeus (82). Throughout the
history of Pergamon, the war happened in the land not only gave this kingdom power and territory
but also continually reaffirmed the belief of the Pergamene that they were the protector and
saviors of Greek culture. The Altar of Zeus was discovered at the end of 19th century by a German
expedition. These people collected the remains of the Pergamon altar and shipped to Berlin.

Marilyn was about seven years of age, she was tossed around different foster care homes and

Born of a king whose most disappointing day was that of her birth, Elizabeth Tudor s life
seemed almost made for trials and controversy, both personally and politically. Although she had,

Thirdly, I will examine religion and how it affected her opinions and politics during her reign.

She was beheaded and buried near her cousin, Ann Boleyn. In 1543, the King married for the last
time. Catherine Parr was a very good wife and stepmother. She encouraged Elizabeth and
Edward in their lessons and in their interest in the protestant church. King Henry died in 1547.
Edward became the king at the young age of ten. Elizabeth and Edward remained very close
throughout his reign, and, because they were not allowed to live in the same residence, many
fond letters were exchanged between them. Soon, though, Edward became ill. He, knowing he
probably would not live much longer, made a quick revision to Henry VIII s will. Mary Tudor (a

Jane Grey, a protestant. After Edward s death, Jane Grey was queen for ten days before the
public rallied and gave their support to Mary. Jane Grey was executed and Mary was declared
queen. The nation was restored to Catholicism. Mary, to begin with, was polite to Elizabeth. Mary
looked at her sister with warmth and tolerance, provided her reconciliation to the Church could be
brought about, Mary was ready, not entirely to trust her, but to treat her with sisterly kindness
(Jenkins, 1965, p. 41). Elizabeth outwardly converted to Catholicism for Mary, though she
remained a protestant on the inside. Mary s kindness to Elizabeth gradually disappeared. Mary s
advisors assured her that her sister

Joseph Heller s Catch-22
Joseph Heller s critically acclaimed novel Catch 22 is an example of a novel that was never
meant to be just a story . Every chapter peels away a layer of analytical depth in which none but
the most sophisticated minds can fully conquer. Robert M. Young s psychoanalytical approach to
Catch 22 can be divided into three interpretations: why his focus on the psychoanalytical structure
is correct, how his ideas accurately reflect Joseph Hellers intended purpose for the novel, and how
his analysis impacts the overall perception of the novel. Helplessness against the destructive forces
within is ubiquitous and constitutes the greatest physical danger situation known to the human

The first time reading the novel, it can be described as a satire with plenty of black humor.
However, upon rereading it and paying further attention to the syntax and diction, one can begin to
see the novel through Young s eyes. The novel one of the century s greatest and one whose
subtleties I have only begun to convey turns on what happens at the intersection of character and
the institutionalized reifications and cruelties of debased societies and societies at war, internally
and with nominally external enemies (Young 8). To summarize, Young is stating how the pressures
of war and the expectations of society lean heavily on the shoulders of the individual. These kinds
of burdens induce heavy psychological damages along with the troubles of external problems (i.e.
the nominally external enemies ). After reading Young s critical review, one gains the ability to
read the novel in a new light, and further appreciate the enormous complexity Joseph Heller wove
through the sentences. For example, page 356 says, It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn
vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder
into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and
sadism into justice (Young 8). The complexity as well as the raw truth of the above sentence shows

Fritz Lang s Dr. Mabuse The Gambler
Fritz Lang s Dr. Mabuse the Gambler is a film about a man who is many things, or at least
appears to be many things. He is a gambler, a puppeteer, an actor, a player, a psychologist and a
criminal among other occupations. He has so many appearances that even after viewing the entire
nearly five hour film, it is unclear who Dr. Mabuse really is, and how he became who he is.
As the subtitle The Great Gambler: A Picture of the Time suggests, the first part of Dr. Mabuse

critiquing it. The Time being referred to, in this particular case, is the Weimar Republic era of

The Children Burial Of Ancient Egypt
The children burial in ancient Egypt:
Ironically, the oldest human grave so far discovered in Egypt is that of a child. The grave was
discovered in 1994 at Taramsa Hill (near Qena in Upper Egypt, located near the modern site of
the temple of Hathor at Dendara). It contained the skeleton of a child between 8 and 10 years,
buried about 55,000 years ago (Middle Paleolithic age). The child found sitting against the wall of
a shallow pit, its face skyward, legs pulled up, left arm on its hip and right arm behind its back (Pl.
1).
The pre dynastic period provided us with cemeteries intended for the children. This was found at
Adaima (8 km south of Esna) precisely the eastern cemetery that contains 60 graves. The southern
part of this cemetery contained only children s graves dating to the Naqada period (4th
millennium BC). The percentage of the children graves in this cemetery is 87 %. Most of the
dead children varied in age from six months to 9 years. However, most of the burials belonged to
children from 0 to 4 years. The children were either placed in pottery jars (pl. 2) or buried in pits
(Pl. 3 4). They were buried in a crouching position. It seems that the child mortality here related to a
tuberculosis epidemic.
Pre dynastic children burials (4th millennium BC) were found at Riqqa (site between Lisht and
Medum at El Fayoum) in an area called Gerzeh, where 51 burials of infants and children were
found among a total of 249 intact burials. 12 children burial among 43

How The Body Works Is Incredibly Complex
The way our body works is incredibly complex, but a wonderful thing that we are given. Without
everything working it would be hard to do simple tasks. When certain things do shut down or stop
working properly it can ruin a life. The littlest of organs can have an enormous effect on the body
which it did on me. The thyroida small organ on the front of your neck gave me some serious
problems for about 2 years. From little things like sleep, appetite, and headaches it quickly
scaled to many more major things like heart palpations and severe dehydration. It may seem like
something very useless in the body, but I will never forget what it caused, and how hard it was to
overcome it. That little organ did way more than it probably knew it could do which was giving
me a completely different outlook of life itself.
How could one simple thing do that to my entire body. I would ask later on when I finally
figured out who the culprit of my sickness was. That thyroid caused many problems around the
ages of 14 16. The first sign of this takes me back all the way to eighth grade where I was just
incredibly tired. I felt absolutely horrible physically I couldn t get out of bed, and it was hard to
do some simple tasks like walking. I would be out of school for two days when my mother who
thought it was the flu that was affecting eventually made an appointment for the doctor to get
whatever was causing me to be this sick figured out, so I could be back to shape. My mother and I

The Gross Domestic Product. GDP is the total dollar amount value of all goods and services

producing product would be their productivity. Improvements in equipment, training, and
management will result in greater output. Labor productivity is a measurement of a worker s
performance. Inflation/Deflation a rapid increase in inflation is not a good thing. Individuals,

As the Ottoman Empire s fall drew closer, the concept of Arab representation and its manifestation

According to Freud s conclusion based on decades of experimentation and theoretical work in the
field of psychotherapy, humans cannot be happy because a satisfaction of needs creates only a
momentary phase of happiness which expires after some time. Therefore, the focus of life should
not be obtaining happiness, and people should focus on avoiding suffering instead (Bullock, n.d.).
However, several paradigms about well being exist, and individual cognitive patterns and paradigms

Perhaps from a mental health perspective, people who pursue money because of unrealistic goals
can suffer from more stress and impair their mental health more significantly than people who

those conclusions because their longitudinal study found that a windfall of money has the same
positive effect on happiness and lower mental stress. In other words, if people achieve financial
success, their motivation will be fulfilled. Although happiness achieved by high income levels is
unstable and completely dependent on the income level, it is not possible to define financial
security as more stable than happiness if people lose their income. Unrealistic money making
motivations appear to be unstable, but realistic motivations are not more stable than unrealistic
ones. Because income is connected with both types of motivations, all money making goals are
achieved by creating income, and all goals are lost by losing income. It is apparently not possible
to generalize conclusions based on negative correlations. If research proves that certain motives are
in a negative correlation with subjective well being, it will

  • 2. Personal Health Record And Patient Portal Use Personal Health Record and Patient Portal Use The Personal Health Records (PHRs) are the innovative solution to the problems associated with fragmented communication and lack of interaction among the Medical Record Systems (EMRs) (Henriksen et al., 2008). It allows patients to access their healthcare data in the secure environment and increases patient s engagement in medical care. The PHRs are also known as patient portals. They help patients in getting relevant medical data from their provider. In spite of recent policy efforts to develop the usage of health informational technologies and increase the accessibility of PHRs in different health institutions, PHR adoption level remains relatively low overall. The PHR is defined as based on the Internet set of tools that makes it possible for people to coordinate and access their lifelong health data, and makes some parts of it available and accessible to those who need it (Segall et al., 2011). PHRs may be useful, especially, for people with chronic diseases who expect to receive some advantages from using PHRs to learn and monitor their health problems. PHRs allow care coordination among clinicians, ensure patients the opportunity to access and search their medical information, support them in managing health, and make them be active participants in the decision making process. The early adopters of PHRs could be chronically ill patients because most of them are active users of the internet and computers. Therefore, PHRs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Well, a majority of people say that mountaineering should be forbidden because of an incident that happened in 2014 where a huge wedge of ice fell off and killed 16 Nepalese out of the 25 that were there. I understand that many of the people that explore till the top of the mountain know the risks and are able to understand them and for that, I believe that mountaineeringshould not be illegal. Therefore, I am going to explain reasons why it should not be prohibited. While mountain climbing is a dangerous sport, the chances of death have been reduced significantly. Jon Krakauer, author of Into Thin Air, has determined the ratio of deaths caused because of mountaineering has now dropped from 1 death for every 4 attempts to 1:60 (Source one). It is seen that because of the development of items over the years, many of the symptoms that climbers usually experience include: high altitude cerebral edema and high altitude pulmonary edema, have been prevented with the use of special steroids. Also, bottled oxygen has been seen on many mountaineers allowing them to breathe easier in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Everest and has supposedly risked his company s reputation. Two years after, 16 out of the 25 Nepalese guides were killed from the exact wedge of ice which led to the question if mountaineering should be banned (Source two). There were many ways that this incident could ve been avoided. If Brice and his group escaped out safely, then why didn t they tell anyone about the enormous wedge of ice that averted them from going any further? If there was a flag that said HAZARD ABOVE, then it would have been evaded easily. In my opinion, I believe that in this situation, Brice should be the one to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. A Room Of One s Own Analysis A Room of One s Own is a novel written by Virginia Woolf. In the story, Woolf is arguing that women need money, privacy, and education to write successfully. Throughout her essay, she analyzes several different female figures from the past and during her own time to give her argument leverage. One of these figures is a fictional character named Judith Shakespeare, a sister to William Shakespeare. Even though Judith is fictional, she is necessary to A Room of One s Own. The main focus of A Room of One s Own is to demonstrate that women need money, privacy, and an education to write works of good quality. This is directly stated in the very beginning, All I could do was to offer you an opinion upon one minor point a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction; (Woolf, A Room of One s Own). Woolf does not believe that society has changed enough from the 1500s for women to write successfully. In order to prove her point, she begins the novel by analyzing Judith, a woman who had absolutely no resources. Judith Shakespeare, unlike famous writers such as Jane Austen, is unable to achieve any of her dreams because of the circumstances of her life. In order to further the idea that the problem regarding female writers is lack of resources and not lack of talent, Woolf writes that Judith and Shakespeare had the same amount of talent, as seen here, She was as adventurous, as imaginative, as agog to see the world as he [William Shakespeare] was (Woolf, A ... Introducing the theme of violent retribution, Puzo s protagonist kills a black market drug supplier to show his rage at government , corruption in postwar Europe, and his own failure to secure lifesaving medication for his German girlfriend. In The Fortunate Pilgrim, Puzo takes us to Hell s kitchen and talks about the experiences of an Italian woman who struggles to surmount poverty and crime. Though extolling her courage, cunning, and traditional values Puzo s description of petty criminal activity in the poor Italian American neighbourhood offers ironic justification for the life of crime as an alternate means of achieving the American Dream. The article begins with a well explained definition of physical urticaria and includes statistics for its prevalence in society. This article does well to examine the seventy six individuals and their reactions to the challenge testing, however other than mentioning in a table that some participants had previously been tested it does not go into detail about the precision of that testing or the depth of it. The majority of the participants original diagnoses were accurate, however a significant portion were not. This left me a bit curious on how the physicians of these individuals were able to properly medicate and assist in treatment. My opinion on this topic however is a bit biased as I suffer from aquagenic urticaria. In my experience physicians have not had an adequate way of testing for my particular diagnosis or most physical urticaria. Consequently, I have been misdiagnosed with exercise induced urticaria as well as cholinergic urticaria in the past. The article did explain that the research done by the doctors and nurses of this particular study led them to conclude that the different types of physical urticaria can be difficult to pinpoint when it comes to causes and subgroups. This I imagine would also make it difficult to treat, which is an added burden individuals with this diagnosis do not need since they are already in most cases dealing with lifestyle changes and other ... Since the Pergamene King regarded his country as the successor of the Greek culture, there were numerous sculptural monuments built to commemorate their military achievement and declare their roles as inheritors of Athens. The Altar of Zeusis one of them, as well as the library and the sanctuary of Athena that are located in the upper part of the altar on the Acropolis (Figure 1, map). The several times of confrontation with Gauls were the most important parts of their victories and bronze sculptural groups had made to memorialize the defeat of Gauls. Thus, the Altar of Zeus might be the biggest monument they built for their victories. King Eumenes II, on the other hand, was the crucial leader on the battlefield due to his sagacity and resourcefulness, who succeed his father and brought his kingdom unparalleled growth (81). One thing interesting to notice that, in a vital war at which the Pergamon incorporated the territory of Gauls, the leading military commander instructed the sailors to collect many poisonous snakes and then throw them on the decks of Pergamene ships. This impressive experience might be the prime stimuli for the numerous presentations of giant snakes on the friezes of Altar of Zeus (82). Throughout the history of Pergamon, the war happened in the land not only gave this kingdom power and territory but also continually reaffirmed the belief of the Pergamene that they were the protector and saviors of Greek culture. Elizabeth and Edward remained very close throughout his reign, and, because they were not allowed to live in the same residence, many fond letters were exchanged between them. Soon, though, Edward became ill. He, knowing he probably would not live much longer, made a quick revision to Henry VIII s will. Mary Tudor (a catholic) was supposed to become queen at his death, but he replaced her with his cousin, Lady Jane Grey, a protestant. After Edward s death, Jane Grey was queen for ten days before the public rallied and gave their support to Mary. Jane Grey was executed and Mary was declared queen. The nation was restored to Catholicism. Mary, to begin with, was polite to Elizabeth. Mary looked at her sister with warmth and tolerance, provided her reconciliation to the Church could be brought about, Mary was ready, not entirely to trust her, but to treat her with sisterly kindness (Jenkins, 1965, p. 41). Every chapter peels away a layer of analytical depth in which none but the most sophisticated minds can fully conquer. Robert M. Young s psychoanalytical approach to Catch 22 can be divided into three interpretations: why his focus on the psychoanalytical structure is correct, how his ideas accurately reflect Joseph Hellers intended purpose for the novel, and how his analysis impacts the overall perception of the novel. However, upon rereading it and paying further attention to the syntax and diction, one can begin to see the novel through Young s eyes. The novel one of the century s greatest and one whose subtleties I have only begun to convey turns on what happens at the intersection of character and the institutionalized reifications and cruelties of debased societies and societies at war, internally and with nominally external enemies (Young 8). To summarize, Young is stating how the pressures of war and the expectations of society lean heavily on the shoulders of the individual. These kinds of burdens induce heavy psychological damages along with the troubles of external problems (i.e. the nominally external enemies ). After reading Young s critical review, one gains the ability to read the novel in a new light, and further appreciate the enormous complexity Joseph Heller wove through the sentences. For example, page 356 says, It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice (Young 8). He has so many appearances that even after viewing the entire nearly five hour film, it is unclear who Dr. Mabuse really is, and how he became who he is. As the subtitle The Great Gambler: A Picture of the Time suggests, the first part of Dr. Mabuse concerns itself greatly with depicting modern society, particularly urban life, as well as perhaps critiquing it. • 38. The Children Burial Of Ancient Egypt The children burial in ancient Egypt: Ironically, the oldest human grave so far discovered in Egypt is that of a child. The grave was discovered in 1994 at Taramsa Hill (near Qena in Upper Egypt, located near the modern site of the temple of Hathor at Dendara). It contained the skeleton of a child between 8 and 10 years, buried about 55,000 years ago (Middle Paleolithic age). The child found sitting against the wall of a shallow pit, its face skyward, legs pulled up, left arm on its hip and right arm behind its back (Pl. 1). The pre dynastic period provided us with cemeteries intended for the children. This was found at Adaima (8 km south of Esna) precisely the eastern cemetery that contains 60 graves. The southern part of this cemetery contained only children s graves dating to the Naqada period (4th millennium BC). The percentage of the children graves in this cemetery is 87 %. Most of the dead children varied in age from six months to 9 years. However, most of the burials belonged to children from 0 to 4 years. The children were either placed in pottery jars (pl. 2) or buried in pits (Pl. 3 4). They were buried in a crouching position. It seems that the child mortality here related to a tuberculosis epidemic. Pre dynastic children burials (4th millennium BC) were found at Riqqa (site between Lisht and Medum at El Fayoum) in an area called Gerzeh, where 51 burials of infants and children were found among a total of 249 intact burials. 12 children burial among 43 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Perhaps from a mental health perspective, people who pursue money because of unrealistic goals can suffer from more stress and impair their mental health more significantly than people who pursue money for realistic goals. Furthermore, several cross sectional studies support the economic paradigm that money is positively correlated with happiness (Gardner Oswald, 2007). Although cross sectional studies have many weaknesses, Gardener and Oswald (2007) agree with those conclusions because their longitudinal study found that a windfall of money has the same positive effect on happiness and lower mental stress. In other words, if people achieve financial success, their motivation will be fulfilled. Although happiness achieved by high income levels is unstable and completely dependent on the income level, it is not possible to define financial security as more stable than happiness if people lose their income. Unrealistic money making motivations appear to be unstable, but realistic motivations are not more stable than unrealistic ones. Because income is connected with both types of motivations, all money making goals are achieved by creating income, and all goals are lost by losing income.
