The Tooth Fairy Essay
Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Truth in Parenting
The early childhood years are full of play, pretend and magical thinking. Young children put on wings
and take flight around preschool classrooms. They can be anyone they can imagine superheroes,
princes princesses, mommy, daddy, and even the dog or the cat. The magic will gradually fade and
they may have a few questions for you...
The Shift
Children cannot distinguish the difference between fantasy and reality like adults. They believe that
fantasy can be real because they do not know the limits of reality.[1] This limitless way to see the
world allows them to believe that anything can happen. For example, approximately 65% of children
ages have imaginary friends by the age of 7.[2] They may even get upset when we forget to buckle
their friend into the car. I remember my sister getting very upset when I seemed to continuously sit on
her imaginary friend in our living room. This lack of boundary between fantasy and reality allows kids
to believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny...until they don t.

My Writing That I Did Not Know Before
Over the course of this class I have learned many things about writing that I did not know before,
because I never had any great instruction before i came to college. In Grade school and high school,
when I got back a graded paper there would just be words crossed out, or punctuation corrections.
There would never be any explanation as to why I need to correct this, or why this is wrong. I would
go over the corrections and wonder how this is wrong and why does a comma go there but why doesn
t a comma go here. When reading the corrections and notes you made on each of my papers this year,
I more easily understood why something was wrong. I might not have made the same corrections in
the next paper, but each paper I got back I understood what was wrong, and what I needed to do to
correct it. I think I understood more about writing with each paper that I wrote this year. I might not
have shown it with each paper because I seem to always make the same errors. I always get mixed up
when using singular and plural nouns, using the same adjective throughout the paper, and not being
descriptive. I knew after you made the corrections why something is wrong, but I never seemed to
make the corrections myself, because I have a habit of making those same mistakes, and because it
sounds like it is right to me because I speak that way myself. Those errors I made in each of my
papers seemed to be right at the time of me writing them, but when you pointed them out to me after

Analysis Of Paul Cezanne s Mont Sainte Victoire
One of the most influential painters of the twentieth century was Paul Cezanne. He was willing to
break the traditionally accepted artistic practice in order to better portray his artistic creativity.
Cezanne was became part of the movement that followed the Impressionists called the Post
Impressionism movement. The artists who were the driving forces behind this movement were
Gauguin, Van Gogh, Seurat, and Cezanne. These artists were placed in this grouping because they
were the avant garde artists of the time period, who wanted to be able to express their emotions rather
than simply representing what they saw. Cezanne s Mont Sainte Victoire seen from The Bibemus
Quarry was painted in 1985. Mont Sainte Victoire is a mountain that is in the South of France and
overlooks the Aix en Provence, which happens to be the hometown of Paul Cezanne. This work
exemplifies the Post Impressionistic techniques because Cezanne utilized the avant garde techniques,
while at the same time demonstrating the relationship between the artist and the work. This work
embodies the period style because it contains avant garde geometric shapes to define the forms, colors,
and interpretations that were important to the Post Impressionists. First off, the harshness of the lines
goes hand in hand with the shapes that exist in the work. The shapes tend to be simplified shapes,
which demonstrates that Cezanne wanted things to appear as if they could be broken down. Cezanne
utilizes an array of geometric

Lillian Schwartz and Tracey Moffat
Lillian Schwartz and Tracey Moffat Modern Technology and Modern Art
Many modern artists use high technology equipment in their works. Whereas traditionally artists used
a pencil or brush to make beautiful works of art, artists in the early twenty first century are now using
sound, video or computer generated images. Digital art developed from simple patterns and shapes
made using computer programs to finished works of art which can look as realistic as a watercolour or
oil painting. Modern art exhibitions often include more videos and installations than traditional
painting or drawings. Even artists which use traditional techniques increasingly use modern
technology such as the internet to display their works and communicate with ... Show more content on

Artists today are continually experimenting with new technology in different ways, finding new ways
to use old mediums and finding new mediums as well. In modern art displays such as the various
Biennales held around the world, video plays a dominant role, as well as installation art and
increasingly, digital art. There are even exhibitions that solely focus on digital art, such as Ars
Electronica held annually in Linz, Austria. The internet is becoming used more with many
contemporary artists using it to display their works with online galleries, talk to other artists and sell
their works. Internet sites such as deviantart.com or yessy.com offer artists an opportunity to sell and
display their works and communicate with people throughout the world.
Computer programs such as Photoshop and Painter allow artists to easily manipulate photographs and
paint pictures using custom artists tools which can create the effects in a few minutes of what
previously would have taken months to paint. Many artists today are involved in using digital art
technology to produce websites, computer games or online art exhibitions. The conceptart.org website
is one example of a site which mostly displays digital art, that has over 100,000 posts by many
different people. Digital art is increasingly being

Karl Popper And The Scientific Method
Karl Popper is commonly regarded as one of the greatest philosophers of science in the 20th Century.
He is well known for his rejection of the inductivist viewpoint of the scientific method, in which one
uses observation to propose a law to generalize an observed pattern, and later confirm that law through
more observation. Popper states that induction cannot be logically justified (Popper 14). Inductivism
relies on the process of inductive reasoning which is a logical process in which multiple premises, all
thought to be true and found to be true most of the time, are combined to obtain a conclusion and in
many cases formulate a law or theory. Popper rejected the inductivist viewpoint in favor of a theory
called empirical falsification which holds that a theory can never be proven, but it can be falsified, and
therefore it can and needs to be scrutinized through experimentation.
In his work Conjectures and Refutations, Popper discussed several aspects of induction including the
topics of conjectures (opinions or conclusions formed on the basis of incomplete information) or
tentative theories and refutations (ways to refute an argument, opinion, testimony, doctrine, or theory,
through contradicting evidence) or the acts of disproving arguments through counterexamples
(Oxford).
Popper opines that a significant problem with the scientific method is that scientists get so caught up
in evidence that supports a specific conjecture that they either 1) fail to consider

Essay On Why The Voting Age Should Be Abolished
Sweet 16 in North America, it marks the point of transition into adulthood, and it is much the same in
Australia. While 18 is considered the legal age in Australia, 16 year olds have been given many legal
rights, such as learning to drive, being employed, and even being able to leave school. So what about
being able to vote at elections? Following federal Labor leader, Bill Shorten s stance on lowering the
voting age in Australia to 16, I too feel for the need to allow more of the younger population of
Australia to participate in elections, and as Australians, so should you.
Here are the reasons why.
The current minimum voting age, 18, also marks the year of chaos and pressure for many young
Australians. 18 is the time when many complete high school and continue to embark on university,
TAFE or even full time employment. It s the time when many leave home and move to new and
unfamiliar environments, and it is certainly the time when waves of stress that accompany the
beginning of adulthood come crashing in for the first time. With all of the changes occurring in an 18
year old s life, having to adjust with the new responsibility of voting at elections ... Show more

This can certainly be true for some people in this age group, but definitely not all, and the problem of
having little knowledge about how the government works is far from being limited to this specific age
group. In fact, there is no doubt that people of all age groups in Australia, even those who have been
voting at elections for years on end, have a lack of political knowledge and show disinterest in this
field. With the rise of political discussion amongst social media, it can even be said that some 16 year
olds are much more involved in political issues, of which is evident in their complex and heated
debates about the government on social

Hinduism Compare And Contrast Buddhism And Jainism
Buddhism and Hinduism are different from Jainism in concept of the soul, worship, sacred places and
their understanding of human beings and the society around them. Buddhism and Hinduism accept the
karma philosophy but each religion has its own description of karma. Jainism s teachings on karma are
that of some particles that we accumulate as we act and think. Jainism also lays major emphasis on the
teaching of Ahimsa which is the principle of nonviolence. Buddhism concept of karma is that of a
sequence of spiritual cause and effect and that our virtuous and non virtuous actions shape our
experience moment by moment. Buddhism also has different teaching about rebirth as compared to
Hinduism as there is no eternal, independently existing soul

The Violation Of Human Rights
After reviewing the Human Rights Watch website, www.hrw.org, I decided to write my paper on the
violation of the human rights of people with disabilities. I have a passion for working with people that
have disabilities and I think so much more should be done for them. The United States have made
great strides in being respectful for their human rights and it is time to see the rest of the world step up
and take responsibility. There is also much more needed to be done in the United States but we have
come so far. I decided to use the human rights violation of people with disabilities because I want to
work with them in the future and it is important to know what hardships they face around the world. I
need to help be a voice for them. The first article I read about human rights with people with
disabilities was titled We Need to Stop Treating People with Disabilities as Less Than Human, by
Shantha Rau Barriga. In this article, Barriga traveled the world to speak with disabled people. She saw
a five year old girl dressed in rags and chained to a tree with chains because her family thought she
was possessed. Unfortunately, this happens far too often because people with disabilities are seen as
unhuman. Often times around the world, children with disabilities are put in institutions and
sometimes takes straight from the mothers after birth the relieve them of the burden of a child with
disabilities. However, having some form of disability is not all that rare: one in

Assyrian Art Essay
Assyrian Art
The reliefs from the palace of King Assurnasirpal II at Nimrud play an important role in portraying the
power and importance of the Assyrian king. These reliefs are similar to other Assyrian reliefs in terms
of their purpose; however, there is a contrast in the methods used to glorify the king. By examining
such factors as style, iconography and historical significance, we find many similarities and
differences between the ceremonial reliefs and the more common reliefs depicting war and hunting.
The reliefs belonging to the sacred or ceremonial category consist of panels depicting a sacred tree, a
human headed genius fertilizing a sacred tree, a griffin fertilizing a sacred tree, and a scene of King
Assurnasirpal (whose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In term of stylization, both the human headed deities and Assurnasirpal have very stylized hair falling
in straight locks to the back of their necks; furthermore, they possess highly stylized beards of intricate
waves and ringlets which end evenly at the bottom.
Because these features are similar to that of Assurbanipal and the mythological bullmen at the palace
at Khorsabad, it can be construed that it is a coiffure characteristic of royalty and divinity alike (Art
History Anthology 28).
Moving on to the facial expression, we find that all the human headed figures contain large eyebrows,
large eyes that are deeply undercut, an elongated nose, conventionalized ears, and highly
conventionalized lips which appear as a simple slit. On the other hand, the beardless griffin has an
eagle s head adorned with a feather headdress and a curved beak with a long tongue. To show the
strength of the deities and Assurnasirpal, the artist depicts muscles within the arms and legs through
simple lines and curves. This style of depicting the facial and body features is common in other
Assyrian reliefs including the hunting scenes of Assurbanipal.
Although there are many similarities in body structure, there is also a distinctive element that
separates the deities and the king. Each deity possesses a set of four highly stylized wings made up of

Blue Collar Brilliance And The Busy Carter Analysis
Work and leisure, these are two integral parts of human life, however there is much debate about
which of them is more important as well as what the proper balance between them should be. Those
such as Mike Rose and Nicholas Carr, in their articles Blue Collar Brilliance and World and Screen
respectively, emphasis how the benefits of working, physically as well as mentally, are often forgotten.
On the other side, however, Tim Freider in his work The Busy Trap contends that leisure is just as
neglected in our fast paced world. Despite these seemingly different statements, these works share
quite a lot on when looks just below the surface. In Blue Collar Brilliance Mike Rose describes his
appreciation for the often unnoticed intelligence that many blue collar workers posses as well as the
positive impact that physical work can have on the lives of those taking part in it. Nothing he says
encapsulates this more than his description of his uncle Joe working on a car assembly line, For Joe
the shop floor provided what school did not; it was like schooling, he said, a place where you re
constantly learning. Joe Joe learned the most efficient way to use his body with a set of routines that
were quick and preserved energy. (1036). This parallels the findings of Carr in World and Screen
where he describes how by using our ancestral navigation abilities we keep our mind healthy mentally,
by working out the parts of the brain that are in charge of memory, and physically by

2.5 SERVICE QUALITY
Service quality has become a main idea for student academic to study in many industries especially in
hospitality industry. In Wilson et al (2008), service can be discussed in the terms of below four
characteristics:
Characteristics Description:
1. Intangibility Service cannot be seen, touched smelled and tasted.
2. Inseparability Services are generally produced and consumed simultaneously. It is usually link the
provider and consumer when the service is being provided as both are part of service process. Both
service and consumer are cannot be separated.

Compare And Contrast A Tale Of Two Schools
From the 1860s forward, much focus was in the country was on people and their inherit rights under
the United States constitution. However, even with all men being equal under the law in the 1940s,
many were still segregated and racism was and still is very much alive. School districts had separate
schools for whites and blacks and some systems even had separate schools for Mexican Americans.
Mendez v. Westminster was the first case in 1947 that overruled the segregation of schools due to race

County. This case was a major positive stride in the desegregation in America at the time. During the

Things were said that were very traumatic to the Mendez and other families defending the honor of

Mexican schools gave special instruction to students who didn t speak English and who were
unfamiliar with American values and customs. Such Americanization programs benefited both Anglos
and Mexicans ( A Tale of Two Schools ). Kent, the superintendent for the district, stated that

the same age (Strum, 2014). During testimony it was also stated that Mexicans were like pigs who
should be kept in pig pens and that they carried lice and many other diseases because they are so
filthy. ( A Tale of Two Schools ). Kent also stated that Mexican s grow faster physically, but that their
brains were a year retarded and therefore segregation was completely legitimate (Strum, 2014).
However, Sylvia and her two brothers took the stand during the trial and both spoke fluent English and
presented themselves very well, basically destroying Ogle and Kent s argument by sitting on the stand
alone. Their testimony proved that they spoke well enough English to be in a non segregated school
and that they weren t filthy creatures as Ken purposed. The children s and many other s testimony

Riordan Manufacturing Supply Chain Design
Riordan Manufacturing Supply Chain Design
Shante Moore
University of Phoenix/OPS 571
Introduction
Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer and industry leader in the field of plastic
injection molding with locations in Georgia, Michigan, California, and their most current expansion in
2000 to Hangzhou, China. The plant located in China manufactures fans using a make to stock
operation that uses a forecasting method to determine future demand. A review of their strategic
capacity planning and lean production for their new process design and supply chain process for the
electric fans will address bottleneck and supply chain issues. Also outlined are the details of new
processes and how the benefit the company. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An issue arises when periodic an order for fans against the contracted yearly total is received
randomly and at varying quantities throughout the year. This makes it difficult for the plant to stock
materials required in the short term. Another problem is the company supplying the motors for the
fans. Their on time delivery rate is only 93%. This leads to a bottleneck in manufacturing. A solution
for these problems is to implement an effective ordering system or process. In order to improve the
7% lag time a second motor supplier could be used to fill the gap. There should be a maximum
amount of units per month, and a specified date the units are needed. For custom orders, a specific
date or deadline should be a requirement and included in the contract. Setting these specific guidelines
in the plants ordering system will improve the 7% lag time in deliveries.
Lean Production
When the bottlenecks in a process are exposed there is a strong correlation between a strategic
capacity plan and lean production. When Riordan implements a new process, lean production can be
achieved. More can be accomplished efficiently in less time due to a continuous production flow
(Kotelnikov, V., n.d.). The new ordering system will allow for all products needed to be available just
in time to begin production. Eventually, as a more specialized cross functional

Gentrification Of Downtown Kansas City
Gentrification can be defined simply as the shift in the makeup of the people in a community. It is the
transition in a community from a run down, poorer area to a more wealthy demographic.
Gentrification starts with the increase of property values caused by brokers and real estate agents.
These brokers and real estate agents usually benefit the most from gentrification. Businesses that are
moving in are storefront coffee shops, cafes, boutiques, etc. Since these newer, nicer shops are
occupying the storefront, the rent for the apartments above rise, causing many people to lose their
homes. The new tenants that move into these apartments are typically young and hip. They prefer to
hang out at these coffee shops below. These new landlords are more in touch with the demographic
changes and are looking to change the area in order to make money. The older, current landlords do
not see a need for change. Some people will argue that gentrification is inevitable. While
gentrification is happing all over the world, I did my research specifically on downtown Kansas City,
Missouri, Harlem, New York, and DUMBO, Brooklyn, New York. Gentrification comes with both
positive and negative effects. These three areas each show a unique perspective on gentrification. An
example of gentrification that has already happened in New York is DUMBO; it stands for Down

Beowulf And Sir Gawain And The Green Knight
In Beowulf, and Sir Gawain, and the Green Knight, we can appreciate the significance of Beowulf and
Gawain s reputations because they establish their identities in society. Reputation can be defined as an
overall quality or character as seen or judged by people (Merriam Webster). First, we will discuss how
reputations can be interpreted according to the individual. Then we consider what if they were to fail
to uphold the expectations of others, and if so, what aspects of their lives would be affected? Whom
else would they affect? Even though Beowulf and Gawain secure worthy reputations, they are
constantly being tested in order to maintain their social status. Finally, with Beowulf s death and
Gawain s lost honor, we are left with the impression that maintaining their legendary reputations was

due to imposed unrealistic standards; when they fail to fulfill the expectations of others, they weaken
the reputations of both themselves and those closest to them. It is hard to determine whether both
characters were realistic representations of the themselves, or if they were merely an idealistic
standard to influence society. Beowulf and Gawain are hindered by their reputations because of the
implication that their previous behaviors are likely to reoccur. We know Beowulf is a warrior and
leader of the Geats, however, he is introduced as hot hearted Beowulf (46, 634). This

My National School Curriculum Course
My showcase of best work was during my public school curriculum course while studying about
learning outcomes. During this week of study I was able to deeper analyze my state standards,
examine the balance between holding all student to educational standards and accommodating the
needs of diverse learners, identify essential questions for students that guide my lessons and determine
methods for identifying the critical knowledge and skills within my particular unit. In the end, I
designed and developed an interdisciplinary unit based on state standards will core content, essential

Collaboratively examining students learning and performance allows teachers to engage with their
content standards, design and critique assessments and plan instruction (Fisher, 2005. p. 11). Simply
glancing over state standards is not providing students with quality instruction; therefore, students are
not able to take their learning to a deeper level of understanding. My goal is for instruction to be
aligned with assessments; thus students are able to apply their knowledge to solve problems and make
reasonable applications through everyday issues. All students should be challenged in each standard at
the highest level they are capable of mastering. Rigor exists in the standard and must be ingrained in
the classroom daily. Rigor in assessment must align with instruction in the type of thinking (Chappuis,
2014). Rigor does not mean more work or harder assessments. I find it irritating when all standards are
not completely addressed to the students, yet students are expected to reach mastery on the
assessment. In the end teachers and students become frustrated with the outcome. Assessments along
with instruction of the standard should be aligned. Students learn at different levels and at a different
pace; therefore, differentiation plays a large role in student success. Providing additional support for
diverse learners is crucial so that students are able to stay focused on their learning outcomes and
reaching mastery on standard

The Interaction Between Clergy And Laity In Richard IV
The interaction between clergy and laity is also discussed a fair bit in the subtext of the source.
William Longchamps, bishop of Ely, and chancellor in Richard s stead, took castles and titles away
from the men who held them and hand[ed] them over to foreigners and unknown men (31). This
shows that the hold he has over the land with the king gone (i.e. clergy could have a firm grasp on the
government). The only other person to do this is John (the king s brother), who takes the castles away
from the men William assigned and returned them to their rightful castellans. It shows that the power
held by William and John to be about equal, since they both do the same things. Next, the clergy and
laity were against the chancellor who was hated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Next, monks were not supposed to have (although they did) interactions with the outside world, but as
Richard (the chronicler) mentions the monks live secluded ... and yet you know everything that is

all monks or monasteries followed their respective Rule fully. Some might have needed to trade, to
confer blessings, or pray in the church that the laity attend putting them in close proximity to the laity.
Monks also elected their future bishop without the assistance of the secular clergy (57). This
elucidates that the secular clergy generally got involved in the elections of clergymen, possibly putting
in their own men for the position, demonstrating that the secular clergy had little to no say in the
election, even when they were involved. The secular clergy opposed him [the chosen bishop], the
monks obtained him (57). Lastly, the bishop of Chester out of hate for religious orders cast the monks
out of Coventry (69). One must first ask: Why is this man a part of a religious order if he hates them?
and next: What was the outcome of that

Personal Publishing Is Broken, By Michael P. Taylor
Academic publishing is something that many people will experience at some point, either in school or
at their job, and some of whom are being paid to publish in academic journals. When published in
academic journals, to read the papers, those interested would need to buy an expensive subscription
and annually renew it. However, this is starting to take a toll on many universities and researchers
around the world because they do not have the past research that others performed to base their future
research on. Michael P. Taylor s Opinion: Academic Publishing is Broken, addresses the fact that
many people do not have access to academic literature, due to the high cost of purchasing

Taylor is a research associate in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol. To
make an impact in the scientific community, a scientist must publish their research in academic
journals, specifically journals for certain areas of science. Taylor has published many papers about the
structure of dinosaurs bodies and the evolution of dinosaurs in both open access journals and academic
journals ( Michael P Taylor ). This shows that Taylor himself had to experience the process of
publishing papers, both in academic journals and open access journals, and going through other
academic journals to create ideas for new scientific discoveries. Therefore, he understands both the
research side and the side of the ordinary citizens who want to read scientific papers. This impacts the
audience by making them understand that Taylor is a credible person to be writing an article on this
topic, strengthening his argument.
Additionally, Taylor shows that he is a credible source for the discussion of open access publishing
through being knowledgeable about the topic by using statistics and doing his own research to
strengthen his argument. Taylor begins his article by explaining that the money that comes from the
taxations of the taxpayers goes to the government to be reallocated into the government funded
research. Then, the researchers release their information by publishing it in academic journals, using
the government s money. Next, by defining open

Ulcerative Colitis
Introduction: What is Ulcerative Colitis? Just from the name, you can guess that this disease concerns
ulcers. But does this entail anything else? Let us find out in this article about the disease that still has
its causes unverified by the world. Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is a disease/disorder of the Large intestine.
It occurs in the colon and rectum areas only. When food passes through the Large Intestine, the body s
immune system may mistake the food materials, bacteria, etc as foreign invading agents and sends
White blood cells (WBC) to defend the body. This causes chronic inflammation and ulceration of the
large intestine, which causes severe pain and discomfort for the patient. This is why this disease falls
under the category of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and is also referred to as an autoimmune
disease. Furthermore, we still don t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) but they work in different areas of the body. Crohn s disease can
occur in any part of the Gastro Intestinal Tract (GIT), while Ulcerative Colitis only affects the colon
and rectum of the large intestine. Again, Crohn s Disease can affect all layers of the bowel while
Ulcerative Colitis, can harm only the linings of the colon. These are the major differences between
them. Conclusion
Though Ulcerative Colitis is not a disease that can cause certain death, but it can lead to the creation

Fear Represented In The Iron Giant
How Is Fear Represented in The Iron Giant
The Iron Giant is a 1999 Animation flick which gives us a taste of comdey and a bit of sadness plus a

a child that is about 6 7 years old who is named Hograth finds a robot lurking near a power station and
starts to bond with the robot. Also this takes place during a time where each country was fearing war
and were scared of each other . This is shown where the American spy is fearing that this was a attack

Let s first talk about the parts when the camera angle changes a entire scene. The segment where the
robot has Hogarth in his hand and shows Hogarth the town the camera angle is really vital when this
scene is first introduced to the viewer because the dolly shot which is the camera angle used in this
scene is a shot taken from a moving terrace and this changes the vibe of this scene and fear because it
is taken from a angle where the camera is under the robot and this scene shows how big The Iron
Giant is compared to Hogarth this adds fear because the viewer thinks that a robot that size can strike
at any moment so the fear and tension rises in the viewers eyes. The angle which also has a effect on
the film is the close shot this is shot is where a camera angle grants the viewer clear detail of the
object but mostly a person it is customary only focusing on the head and shoulder. This can be spotted
at the start of the movie where the sailor thinks he has spotted the lighthouse. But is startled when the
Iron Giant this scene adds fear and fantastic angles of the Giant greet him. The angle shows the Giant
smashing the top of the boat with his torso then the sailor looks up and sees the top half of The Iron
Giant this details the Iron Giants power and looks. This scene has a lot of fear thrown into it , the
viewer knows that there is no messing around with the robot and the sailor looks like he just saw a
ghost also the viewer is petrified of what they have just seen . This is really intentional fear this is
mainly because the director wants every viewer to fear the robot and the camera angle is really
meaningful to the fear aspect because it shows that the robot is show huge that the sailor could not

The Walt Disney Effect
Thousands of books, documentaries, and television series about Disneyland have flooded the market
since its opening and have provided evidence that would suggest the Disney Company to have created
not only the first, but the most successful theme park in history. Walt Disney created a niche in what
was a dying industry leading to Disneyland s success that is still observed today as the most popular
and most recognizable park in the park entertainment industry. Although Disneyland was not the first
amusement park, Walt Disney did perfect the idea of an amusement park and give birth to the first
ever theme park which blossomed into the theme park industry. The influence Disneyland commands
as the first theme park has impacted American pop culture, society, economics, marketing,
entertainment and tourism by creating what has been called the Disney effect . This Disney effect has
been argued between historians, economist, and psychologists since Disneyland s opening in 1955.
How could one park cause such a drastic effect across a significant number of subjects? What made it
different from other amusement parks to provide such success that was never before seen? By

Gouging And Virtue
There is always a debate when it comes to price gouging and virtue because it can cause many
problems/dilemma in our society. Price gouging occurs when goods and services are being charged
more than the normal amount, which happens in a natural disaster. An example that was mentioned in
the book was that in the aftermath of Hurricane Charley, generators that go for $250 were now raised
to $2000 (Sandel, 2009, p. 3). The concept of virtue is what society wants to encourage in a
community such as good traits or qualities of character which are accepted. (Sandel, 2009, p. 7).
According to Sandel, virtue is a principle which is used as a decision making to determine what s right
and wrong in a society. The concept of virtue applies to price gouging

resources which are in the production of food.
Hospitality food waste has a major economic impact due to the cost of disposal and the profit loss that

The Passing of Hong Kong to Mainland China Authorities

British found an effective method to push forward the talks with the Chinese, through communications
between the top leaders. By adding a channel of communication above the negotiating table, the
British found a shortcut to win Chinese concessions by directly appealing to the people who had the

Finally Britain had realized that it had been taking the wrong approach to negotiating with China.
With the advice from Prime Minister Lee in hand and some firsthand experience of what to expect
from China Britain formulated a new diplomatic strategy for dealing with China. Britain now

it was a matter of repairing their national pride. They also now understood the intricacies of Chinese

Romanticism In The Tree Of Life By Terrence Malick
When I first heard of the word Romanticism , I automatically assumed it was more of an intricate way
to say romance but romanticism is much more than pursuing someone. Romanticism is a movement of
art and literature that formulated around the late 18th century that is characterized by strong emotions,
individualism and the glorification of all past and nature. The Tree of Life directed by Terrence Malick
is a perfect example of romanticism and conforms well with Hugo s manifesto on Romanticism. It is
about the story of a family in Waco, Texas in 1950 s that loses one of their sons. Growing up, the
eldest son and struggles with his parents conflicting teachings. Later in life he looks back on his
childhood and through his memories, tries to find the meaning of life. Terrence s film complies with
Hugo s preface on romanticism by featuring moments from the past, incorporation of nature and
containing organized religion. In The Tree of Life the journey begins when we learn that a son has
died and it takes us on this course of the oldest brother s Jack, reminiscence growing up in this family.
As we see him mature in age, his innocence is lost because of his father s questioning family ideals
and rules. His father instructs these household manners against his brothers and Jack when their father
doesn t follow them himself. So eventually we see the son s back talk to him and revolt against their
father. Their mother is a bystander whenever their father is around, but when he

Judge Danforth Quotes
In the play, The Crucible, Judge Danforth is an extremely important character. He plays a significant
role in the plot of the story, mainly because he is the person who presides over the witch trials in
Salem, Massachusetts. Generally, as a person, Judge Danforth is gruff and emotionless. Although, as

decisions and actions have a huge part in the story, and it is interesting to see how his beliefs play out.
In The Crucible, Judge Danforth is determined to stop the hysteria over the accusations of witchcraft,
but he ultimately ends up adding more chaos and tragedy to the situation at hand.
To begin, Judge Danforth is a very powerful and influential character when it comes to the Salem

child, at which time they might take up residence with the husband s family. And when it came to
divorce, it was available to both husband and wife, but was rarely done. Divorce is also not common

Samuel L. Huntington outlines a theory which approaches international politics on the scale of
civilizations. However, he circumvents discussion about Israel. Huntington cautiously describes Israel

Huntington s thought parallels the observations of Mordecai Kaplan, a famous American Jew. In 1934,
Kaplan wrote Judaism as a Civilization in which he described Jewish identity withering away among
second generation Jewish immigrants in the United States as they were assimilated into American
culture. Kaplan wrote this book fourteen years before the creation of Israel. I would argue that,
contrary to Huntington s opinion, the relatively recent addition Israel has revitalized the Jewish sense
of common identity. Kaplan s observations have become dated. With Israel as its core state, Judaism
has a legitimate claim to civilization status.
As it stands, Islam poses a clear and present danger to Judaism. Huntington paints a gloomy picture
for Israel: Wherever one looks along the perimeter of Islam, Muslims have problems living peaceably
with their neighbors (256). Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, all Muslim countries, surround Israel.
Huntington claims that Islam s borders are bloody, and so are its innards (258), taking into account
both the history of internal and external wars within and between Muslim countries. Israel has
engaged in official war with Muslim countries in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, and 1982. It has also been a

theories on why children become attached to their parents. For instance, Freud believed that the
attachment was attributed to the oral satisfaction of being fed. However, Harry Harlow conducted an

mother which indicated that their attachment was driven from security and comfort more than just
being fed since both fed the monkeys. Erikson seemed to agree with Harlow since his first phase

and white textbooks and televisions. Through this she has learned everything there is to know about
the physical nature of the world. She knows all there is to know about the physical facts of the
environment, chemistry, and neurophysiology. According to physicalism she knows all there is to
know. To say otherwise is to say that there is more to know than every physical fact, and that
contradicts physicalism. Mary one day leaves that room and sees the color red, which means she has
learned something new. This new knowledge is against physicalism which proves it to be false. This
argument is revolved around the qualia of experiencing something new. To understand the argument
more, one should break it down to each part that happens. When Mary is in the black and white room,
she has no knowledge of the qualia that comes from experiencing the color red. Once Mary sees the
color red and is now acquainted with the qualitative features that characterize the experiences of red.
Mary then learns and knows that she is looking at something red, and finally she knows what it is like
for others to see something red. Jackson came up with this argument to object physicalism. Since
Mary knew all the physical facts there were to know, how did she learn something

Wells Fargo Case Summary
Introduction
Wells Fargo was established in 1852 by Henry Wells and Williams Fargo who joined a group of other
investors to form a transportation and banking company. In 1849, gold was discovered in California,
which encouraged a huge demand for its cross country shipping and by 1852 Wells Fargo shipped its
first consignment of gold. Wells Fargo also established merger deals with Pony expresses which made
them one of the pioneers of pony transportation. This company later expanded to a company that
offered not just pony and gold transportation services, but also offered banking services by purchasing
gold and selling paper bank drafts as good as gold. In 1905, the banking branch of the company
merged with the Nevada National Bank and established its new headquarters in San Francisco. ( Wells
and Fargo start shipping and banking company , 2016).

Until the intent or motive is recognized, a problem cannot be described or solved. This should be a
major question to ask in the Wells Fargo case. Most workers, especially in sales and marketing jobs
are known to be compensated and promoted based on their performances (number of products and
services sold, number of set targets met). So it is possible that Wells Fargo compensation and
promotion structure motivated these employees to engage in such fraudulent acts in order to boost
their incentives and bonuses which was measured based on their performance. Because it is surprising
that such huge number of employees would engage in such acts to cheat customers for a period of five
years. Both former and current Wells Fargo employees told regulators that their motivation to open
unauthorized accounts was because of the compensation policies and felt extreme pressure to do that
to benefit from such policies (Corkery

B (business to business) marketing strategy by analyzing target markets and the past performance of
the company. This exercise requires the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Minnesota
Micromotors, Inc. , to develop a marketing strategy for the company by making operational decisions
based on relative segment needs and behaviors (Narayandas, 2014). In addition, this paper will
analyze the results based upon the marketing strategy decisions, which determines success or failure
for a particular quarter. Moreover, this paper will also provide the North American Industry
Classification System (NAICS) for Minnesota Micromotors, Inc. (MM).

Nethergrave Vs. A Sound Of Thunder
Nethergrave Reading science fiction stories are a great thing! A lot of people favored this kind of
books. Science fiction is sometimes thought of as a fantasy set in the future. Occasionally, reading
science fiction is beneficial because it has real facts. Both Nethergrave and A sound of thunder are
enjoyable science fiction stories. Nethergrave is a story about a boy who prefers online life than living
in a real world. A sound of thunder is a story about a man named, Eckels, who was killed due to a
mistake that he makes when going back in time. Nethergrave is a stronger story because it s more
realistic, relatable to our world, and interesting. The setting of Nethergrave is more realistic than A
sound of thunder . Maybe in the future, they could invent a computer that could control people s
minds, which make them feel like they are living in another world beyond real life. A sound of thunder
is a story about a group of people traveling in time and visiting the dinosaurs. Still, No one can go
back in time or change anything from history. Traveling in time, visiting the time of the dinosaurs, and
killing a dinosaur is more fictional than Nethergrave . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It explained how kids get bullied and goes through embarrassing or bad moments in their life; besides,
they are ignored at home. Kids use their computers or video games to hide and escape from the real
world, like the boy in the story. Sometimes, they favored living in a game or something on the
computers instead of real life. A sound of thunder does not have anything to do with our world
because it talks about traveling in time and how killing a small butterfly change the future, but still it
gives a better time period than

Henrik Ibsen s Hedda Gabler
A True Narcissist in Henrik Ibsen s Hedda Gabler Within Henrik Ibsen s Hedda Gabler the protagonist
pushes the boundaries of what people are able to do and get away with. Some may consider Hedda to
be a true romantic longing for a little excitement but beneath the mask behind which she hides, lies a
truly selfish and arrogant woman. Hedda Tesman s dark personallity can be easily observed within her
interactions with her husband George Tesman and his aunt Juliana Tesman. Hedda treats her husband
very poorly and constantly brings him down. George s wife never shows any sign of affection towards
him and is incapable of empathizing with him. The inability to empathize with others can be easily
associated with narcissism. When George wishes to show Hedda his slippers she can t even be
bothered to take a look and cares not for his feelings. Hedda always wants more from her husband.
When George is worried about Eilert competing for his post all Hedda can think about are the horse
and butler she won t be given. In her dealings with Miss Tesman, Hedda almost purposefully intends
to hurt her. Hedda intentionally mistakes aunt Julia s hat to be the maid s which comes to hurt the poor
aunt very badly, however she comes to forgive Hedda quite quickly, General Gabler s daughter is
simply allowed to get away with things like these. When she later, tells of the incident to Judge Brack,
Hedda explains her behaviour by saying: these impulses just suddenly come over me, and I can t resist

Comparing The Langmuir And Bet Isotherms
Figure 3 Comparison of the Langmuir and BET isotherms
Fig. 3 compares Langmuir and BET isotherm shapes: gas adsorption along the BET isotherm
contributes more significantly at early time of production than that of Langmuir isotherm curve. The
reason for this is the slope of the BET isotherm curve at higher pressure is larger than that of the
Langmuir isotherm curve, resulting in more adsorbed gas releasing at early production times. The
amount of released adsorbed gas with BET isotherm curve is larger than that with Langmuir isotherm
curve under the same pressure drop from the initial reservoir pressure to the bottom hole pressure.
Dubinin Astakhov equation
To describe adsorption in micro porous material, Dubinin Astakhov have proposed form of Dubinin
Rudishkevich equation which has the form: a=W_0 ρ_L exp{ D[Tln(P_s/P)]^n }
Where,
a concentration (adsorbed mass per unit adsorbent mass)
W_0 Maximum adsorption capacity (volume of adsorbate/mass of adsorbent) ρ_L Specific mass of
the liquid adsorbate
D Coefficient of affinity n Characteristic parameter of the adsorbent adsorbate pair
Adsorption Isotherm Models for Multi Components
Shale reservoir would rarely contain a pure hydrocarbon fluid. Sometimes the fluid type dry gas may
have two or three components accounting for more than 99% of the composition. In some cases, the
liquid fluid may contain more than 40 components. There is a large transition zone between the dry
gas and the liquid areas. In this

  • 2. The Tooth Fairy Essay Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Truth in Parenting The early childhood years are full of play, pretend and magical thinking. Young children put on wings and take flight around preschool classrooms. They can be anyone they can imagine superheroes, princes princesses, mommy, daddy, and even the dog or the cat. The magic will gradually fade and they may have a few questions for you... The Shift Children cannot distinguish the difference between fantasy and reality like adults. They believe that fantasy can be real because they do not know the limits of reality.[1] This limitless way to see the world allows them to believe that anything can happen. For example, approximately 65% of children ages have imaginary friends by the age of 7.[2] They may even get upset when we forget to buckle their friend into the car. I remember my sister getting very upset when I seemed to continuously sit on her imaginary friend in our living room. • 3. My Writing That I Did Not Know Before Over the course of this class I have learned many things about writing that I did not know before, because I never had any great instruction before i came to college. In Grade school and high school, when I got back a graded paper there would just be words crossed out, or punctuation corrections. There would never be any explanation as to why I need to correct this, or why this is wrong. I would go over the corrections and wonder how this is wrong and why does a comma go there but why doesn t a comma go here. When reading the corrections and notes you made on each of my papers this year, I more easily understood why something was wrong. I might not have made the same corrections in the next paper, but each paper I got back I understood what was wrong, and what I needed to do to correct it. I think I understood more about writing with each paper that I wrote this year. I might not have shown it with each paper because I seem to always make the same errors. I always get mixed up when using singular and plural nouns, using the same adjective throughout the paper, and not being descriptive. I knew after you made the corrections why something is wrong, but I never seemed to make the corrections myself, because I have a habit of making those same mistakes, and because it sounds like it is right to me because I speak that way myself. Those errors I made in each of my papers seemed to be right at the time of me writing them, but when you pointed them out to me after giving back ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Analysis Of Paul Cezanne s Mont Sainte Victoire One of the most influential painters of the twentieth century was Paul Cezanne. He was willing to break the traditionally accepted artistic practice in order to better portray his artistic creativity. Cezanne was became part of the movement that followed the Impressionists called the Post Impressionism movement. The artists who were the driving forces behind this movement were Gauguin, Van Gogh, Seurat, and Cezanne. These artists were placed in this grouping because they were the avant garde artists of the time period, who wanted to be able to express their emotions rather than simply representing what they saw. Cezanne s Mont Sainte Victoire seen from The Bibemus Quarry was painted in 1985. Mont Sainte Victoire is a mountain that is in the South of France and overlooks the Aix en Provence, which happens to be the hometown of Paul Cezanne. This work exemplifies the Post Impressionistic techniques because Cezanne utilized the avant garde techniques, while at the same time demonstrating the relationship between the artist and the work. This work embodies the period style because it contains avant garde geometric shapes to define the forms, colors, and interpretations that were important to the Post Impressionists. First off, the harshness of the lines goes hand in hand with the shapes that exist in the work. The shapes tend to be simplified shapes, which demonstrates that Cezanne wanted things to appear as if they could be broken down. Cezanne utilizes an array of geometric ... Whereas traditionally artists used a pencil or brush to make beautiful works of art, artists in the early twenty first century are now using sound, video or computer generated images. Digital art developed from simple patterns and shapes made using computer programs to finished works of art which can look as realistic as a watercolour or oil painting. There are even exhibitions that solely focus on digital art, such as Ars Electronica held annually in Linz, Austria. The internet is becoming used more with many contemporary artists using it to display their works with online galleries, talk to other artists and sell their works. Internet sites such as deviantart.com or yessy.com offer artists an opportunity to sell and display their works and communicate with people throughout the world. Computer programs such as Photoshop and Painter allow artists to easily manipulate photographs and paint pictures using custom artists tools which can create the effects in a few minutes of what previously would have taken months to paint. • 6. Karl Popper And The Scientific Method Karl Popper is commonly regarded as one of the greatest philosophers of science in the 20th Century. He is well known for his rejection of the inductivist viewpoint of the scientific method, in which one uses observation to propose a law to generalize an observed pattern, and later confirm that law through more observation. Popper states that induction cannot be logically justified (Popper 14). Inductivism relies on the process of inductive reasoning which is a logical process in which multiple premises, all thought to be true and found to be true most of the time, are combined to obtain a conclusion and in many cases formulate a law or theory. Popper rejected the inductivist viewpoint in favor of a theory called empirical falsification which holds that a theory can never be proven, but it can be falsified, and therefore it can and needs to be scrutinized through experimentation. In his work Conjectures and Refutations, Popper discussed several aspects of induction including the topics of conjectures (opinions or conclusions formed on the basis of incomplete information) or tentative theories and refutations (ways to refute an argument, opinion, testimony, doctrine, or theory, through contradicting evidence) or the acts of disproving arguments through counterexamples (Oxford). Popper opines that a significant problem with the scientific method is that scientists get so caught up in evidence that supports a specific conjecture that they either 1) fail to consider ... • 7. Essay On Why The Voting Age Should Be Abolished Sweet 16 in North America, it marks the point of transition into adulthood, and it is much the same in Australia. While 18 is considered the legal age in Australia, 16 year olds have been given many legal rights, such as learning to drive, being employed, and even being able to leave school. So what about being able to vote at elections? Following federal Labor leader, Bill Shorten s stance on lowering the voting age in Australia to 16, I too feel for the need to allow more of the younger population of Australia to participate in elections, and as Australians, so should you. Here are the reasons why. The current minimum voting age, 18, also marks the year of chaos and pressure for many young Australians. 18 is the time when many complete high school and continue to embark on university, TAFE or even full time employment. It s the time when many leave home and move to new and unfamiliar environments, and it is certainly the time when waves of stress that accompany the beginning of adulthood come crashing in for the first time. • 9. The Violation Of Human Rights After reviewing the Human Rights Watch website, www.hrw.org, I decided to write my paper on the violation of the human rights of people with disabilities. I have a passion for working with people that have disabilities and I think so much more should be done for them. The United States have made great strides in being respectful for their human rights and it is time to see the rest of the world step up and take responsibility. There is also much more needed to be done in the United States but we have come so far. I decided to use the human rights violation of people with disabilities because I want to work with them in the future and it is important to know what hardships they face around the world. I need to help be a voice for them. The first article I read about human rights with people with disabilities was titled We Need to Stop Treating People with Disabilities as Less Than Human, by Shantha Rau Barriga. In this article, Barriga traveled the world to speak with disabled people. She saw a five year old girl dressed in rags and chained to a tree with chains because her family thought she was possessed. Unfortunately, this happens far too often because people with disabilities are seen as unhuman. Often times around the world, children with disabilities are put in institutions and sometimes takes straight from the mothers after birth the relieve them of the burden of a child with disabilities. • 10. Assyrian Art Essay Assyrian Art The reliefs from the palace of King Assurnasirpal II at Nimrud play an important role in portraying the power and importance of the Assyrian king. These reliefs are similar to other Assyrian reliefs in terms of their purpose; however, there is a contrast in the methods used to glorify the king. By examining such factors as style, iconography and historical significance, we find many similarities and differences between the ceremonial reliefs and the more common reliefs depicting war and hunting. The reliefs belonging to the sacred or ceremonial category consist of panels depicting a sacred tree, a human headed genius fertilizing a sacred tree, a griffin fertilizing a sacred tree, and a scene of King Assurnasirpal (whose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In term of stylization, both the human headed deities and Assurnasirpal have very stylized hair falling in straight locks to the back of their necks; furthermore, they possess highly stylized beards of intricate waves and ringlets which end evenly at the bottom. Because these features are similar to that of Assurbanipal and the mythological bullmen at the palace at Khorsabad, it can be construed that it is a coiffure characteristic of royalty and divinity alike (Art History Anthology 28). Moving on to the facial expression, we find that all the human headed figures contain large eyebrows, large eyes that are deeply undercut, an elongated nose, conventionalized ears, and highly conventionalized lips which appear as a simple slit. On the other hand, the beardless griffin has an eagle s head adorned with a feather headdress and a curved beak with a long tongue. To show the strength of the deities and Assurnasirpal, the artist depicts muscles within the arms and legs through simple lines and curves. This style of depicting the facial and body features is common in other Assyrian reliefs including the hunting scenes of Assurbanipal. Although there are many similarities in body structure, there is also a distinctive element that separates the deities and the king. • 11. Blue Collar Brilliance And The Busy Carter Analysis Work and leisure, these are two integral parts of human life, however there is much debate about which of them is more important as well as what the proper balance between them should be. Those such as Mike Rose and Nicholas Carr, in their articles Blue Collar Brilliance and World and Screen respectively, emphasis how the benefits of working, physically as well as mentally, are often forgotten. On the other side, however, Tim Freider in his work The Busy Trap contends that leisure is just as neglected in our fast paced world. Despite these seemingly different statements, these works share quite a lot on when looks just below the surface. In Blue Collar Brilliance Mike Rose describes his appreciation for the often unnoticed intelligence that many blue collar workers posses as well as the positive impact that physical work can have on the lives of those taking part in it. Nothing he says encapsulates this more than his description of his uncle Joe working on a car assembly line, For Joe the shop floor provided what school did not; it was like schooling, he said, a place where you re constantly learning. Joe Joe learned the most efficient way to use his body with a set of routines that were quick and preserved energy. (1036). The plant located in China manufactures fans using a make to stock operation that uses a forecasting method to determine future demand. A review of their strategic capacity planning and lean production for their new process design and supply chain process for the electric fans will address bottleneck and supply chain issues. Also outlined are the details of new processes and how the benefit the company. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An issue arises when periodic an order for fans against the contracted yearly total is received randomly and at varying quantities throughout the year. This makes it difficult for the plant to stock materials required in the short term. Another problem is the company supplying the motors for the fans. Their on time delivery rate is only 93%. This leads to a bottleneck in manufacturing. A solution for these problems is to implement an effective ordering system or process. In order to improve the 7% lag time a second motor supplier could be used to fill the gap. There should be a maximum amount of units per month, and a specified date the units are needed. For custom orders, a specific date or deadline should be a requirement and included in the contract. Setting these specific guidelines in the plants ordering system will improve the 7% lag time in deliveries. Lean Production When the bottlenecks in a process are exposed there is a strong correlation between a strategic capacity plan and lean production. When Riordan implements a new process, lean production can be achieved. More can be accomplished efficiently in less time due to a continuous production flow (Kotelnikov, V., n.d.). The new ordering system will allow for all products needed to be available just in time to begin production. Eventually, as a more specialized cross functional ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. Gentrification Of Downtown Kansas City Gentrification can be defined simply as the shift in the makeup of the people in a community. It is the transition in a community from a run down, poorer area to a more wealthy demographic. Gentrification starts with the increase of property values caused by brokers and real estate agents. These brokers and real estate agents usually benefit the most from gentrification. Businesses that are moving in are storefront coffee shops, cafes, boutiques, etc. Since these newer, nicer shops are occupying the storefront, the rent for the apartments above rise, causing many people to lose their homes. The new tenants that move into these apartments are typically young and hip. They prefer to hang out at these coffee shops below. These new landlords are more in touch with the demographic changes and are looking to change the area in order to make money. The older, current landlords do not see a need for change. Some people will argue that gentrification is inevitable. While gentrification is happing all over the world, I did my research specifically on downtown Kansas City, Missouri, Harlem, New York, and DUMBO, Brooklyn, New York. Gentrification comes with both positive and negative effects. These three areas each show a unique perspective on gentrification. • 22. Beowulf And Sir Gawain And The Green Knight In Beowulf, and Sir Gawain, and the Green Knight, we can appreciate the significance of Beowulf and Gawain s reputations because they establish their identities in society. Reputation can be defined as an overall quality or character as seen or judged by people (Merriam Webster). First, we will discuss how reputations can be interpreted according to the individual. Then we consider what if they were to fail to uphold the expectations of others, and if so, what aspects of their lives would be affected? Whom else would they affect? Even though Beowulf and Gawain secure worthy reputations, they are constantly being tested in order to maintain their social status. Finally, with Beowulf s death and Gawain s lost honor, we are left with the impression that maintaining their legendary reputations was never attainable. Therefore, we can argue that Beowulf and Gawain are burdened by their reputations due to imposed unrealistic standards; when they fail to fulfill the expectations of others, they weaken the reputations of both themselves and those closest to them. It is hard to determine whether both characters were realistic representations of the themselves, or if they were merely an idealistic standard to influence society. My goal is for instruction to be aligned with assessments; thus students are able to apply their knowledge to solve problems and make reasonable applications through everyday issues. All students should be challenged in each standard at the highest level they are capable of mastering. Rigor exists in the standard and must be ingrained in the classroom daily. Rigor in assessment must align with instruction in the type of thinking (Chappuis, 2014). Rigor does not mean more work or harder assessments. William Longchamps, bishop of Ely, and chancellor in Richard s stead, took castles and titles away from the men who held them and hand[ed] them over to foreigners and unknown men (31). This shows that the hold he has over the land with the king gone (i.e. clergy could have a firm grasp on the government). The only other person to do this is John (the king s brother), who takes the castles away from the men William assigned and returned them to their rightful castellans. Until the intent or motive is recognized, a problem cannot be described or solved. This should be a major question to ask in the Wells Fargo case. Most workers, especially in sales and marketing jobs are known to be compensated and promoted based on their performances (number of products and services sold, number of set targets met). So it is possible that Wells Fargo compensation and promotion structure motivated these employees to engage in such fraudulent acts in order to boost their incentives and bonuses which was measured based on their performance. Because it is surprising that such huge number of employees would engage in such acts to cheat customers for a period of five years. Both former and current Wells Fargo employees told regulators that their motivation to open unauthorized accounts was because of the compensation policies and felt extreme pressure to do that to benefit from such policies (Corkery ... Henrik Ibsen s Hedda Gabler A True Narcissist in Henrik Ibsen s Hedda Gabler Within Henrik Ibsen s Hedda Gabler the protagonist pushes the boundaries of what people are able to do and get away with. • 49. Comparing The Langmuir And Bet Isotherms Figure 3 Comparison of the Langmuir and BET isotherms Fig. 3 compares Langmuir and BET isotherm shapes: gas adsorption along the BET isotherm contributes more significantly at early time of production than that of Langmuir isotherm curve. The reason for this is the slope of the BET isotherm curve at higher pressure is larger than that of the Langmuir isotherm curve, resulting in more adsorbed gas releasing at early production times. The amount of released adsorbed gas with BET isotherm curve is larger than that with Langmuir isotherm curve under the same pressure drop from the initial reservoir pressure to the bottom hole pressure. Dubinin Astakhov equation To describe adsorption in micro porous material, Dubinin Astakhov have proposed form of Dubinin Rudishkevich equation which has the form: a=W_0 ρ_L exp{ D[Tln(P_s/P)]^n } Where, a concentration (adsorbed mass per unit adsorbent mass) W_0 Maximum adsorption capacity (volume of adsorbate/mass of adsorbent) ρ_L Specific mass of the liquid adsorbate D Coefficient of affinity n Characteristic parameter of the adsorbent adsorbate pair Adsorption Isotherm Models for Multi Components Shale reservoir would rarely contain a pure hydrocarbon fluid. Sometimes the fluid type dry gas may have two or three components accounting for more than 99% of the composition. In some cases, the liquid fluid may contain more than 40 components. There is a large transition zone between the dry gas and the liquid areas. In this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
