Earning A Postsecondary Degree Essay
Have you ever wondered if getting a postsecondary degree will help in your future? Well if you said
yes then this essay will give you the information on why it is. Earning a postsecondary degree can
increase your income according to the article (college still worth it?). Some people prefer not getting a
postsecondary degree because it cost to much or it s too much work while others get it and have a
higher income. Earning a postsecondary degree will have a positive impact on someone s life because
there will be more job opportunities, earn a higher income, and a longer life expectancy.
First of all, Earning a postsecondary degree will have a positive impact on someone s life because
there will be more job opportunities available for them. For example, according to (Does having a
degree...) economic conditions have led to a sharp decrease in employment of young professionals.
Additionally, when compared with other education levels, individuals with a college degree were the
only group that had a better job. For instance, according to the National Center for Education
Statistics, the unemployment rate is higher than the unemployment rate in age groups. Furthermore,
the unemployment rate goes down with the effort being made employment rate reflects if ... Show

First, according to .(The difference between a highschool dropout...) (Sarah Kliff) .Americans with
fewer than 17 years of education have a life expectancy that s not much better than adults in the 1950s
and 1960s. So, taking the time to get a postsecondary degree can increase someone s life expectancy.
Furthermore, In the article (Why accountants live longer than builders) Professional women have a
life expectancy at birth of 85.1 years compared with 78.1 for manual workers. Overall, having a
skilled job can increase your life expectancy more than not having one. So, if you get a postsecondary

Essay On Locavore Movement
A Multilateral Movement
Every Tuesday, of every summer a local foods market pops up in Thiensville, Wisconsin just a ten
minute drive away. Every week my friends and I go at lunchtime to eat food grown on local farms.
Fruits and vegetables of every color and every flavor. Juices and tea made from local herbs. Even an
ice cream truck made with local dairy products. The locavore movement in all it s glory. I am proud to
be a proponent of a movement that has gained so much popularity in past years. Although locavore
practices have proven to be difficult to maintain and unpredictable in production, the widely popular
movement has incited change resulting in healthier eating practices along with profitable
advancements for the local economy.

In an article written in 2008 entitled, The End of Food Paul Roberts describes the present day reality
about producing locally grown, ...although decentralized food systems function well in decentralized
societies like the United States was a century ago, or like many developing nations still are they re
poor fit in modern urbanized societies (Source F). Realistically, locavore practices are no longer
practical in centralized societies. Developed nations have moved on from these practices, so they are
only realistic in developing nations. There is an entirely other side to the locavore movement that is
not widely known about, a side intentionally hidden from the public. In a 2014 article entitled, Limits
of the Locavore, written by Margaret Grey, Grey asserts, Labor and the Locavore shows that our
society s tendency to idealize local food allows small farmers to pay workers substandard wages,
house them in shoddy labor camps, and quash their ability to unionize to demand better working
conditions (Dissent). In essence, the locavore movement is glamorized to a point, allowing local farms
to practice unfair labor methods. The labor aspect of the locavore movement is not pretty, and often

Manuel Alvarez Bravo
The history of Mexico is much different than the history of its northern neighbor, the United States (U.
S.). At one time Mexican territory extended north into the Colorado area and west to California before
ceding the property to the U. S. after the Mexican American War of 1846 1848. Mexico and most of
South America had been settled by Spain upon encountering the New World in 1492. So South
American Spanish colonies spoke Spanish, had a ruling class that was not native born called
peninsulares who were born in Spain but lived and ruled Mexico. Mexican ties with Europe were
strong and in its colonial days the rulers and upper class individuals tended to draw from European
society to make Mexico feel like the place they left behind. With regard to Mexican Natives,
Spaniards intermarried into ruling families just as if they were in ... Show more content on

It was a time of a creative fertility, owing to the happy though not always tranquil marriage between a
desire for modernization and the search for an identity with Mexican roots, in which archaeology,
history and ethnology played an important role, parallel to the arts. ( Manuel Alvarez Bravo para. 5)
The official Bravo site on the internet has samples of his work from the 1920s to the 1990s, as he lived
to be 100 years old ( Manuel Alvarez Bravo para. 8). In that span of time, Bravo kept the subjects of
his pictures the same. He photographed Native people, their living conditions, relics, and landscapes.

Essay on Serial Killers
Serial Killers
Serial killers kill because of three patterns we see develop throughout their lives. These patterns are
the development of youthful characteristics and habits, abusing events in their lives, and the final
push. To be qualified as a serial killer one must murder more than three victims, one at a time, in a
relatively short time period. The most common serial killers are white, heterosexual, sexually
frustrated, young adult males with low self esteem. Lester Ballard, the main character in Child of God,
by Cormac McCarthy, displays these patterns as I have found it described in texts on serial killers.
The earliest warning signs of serial killers can be traced back to their childhood. It is ... Show more

Many of these behaviors individually are expected of children. Some on the other hand, such as self
mutilation, cruelty to children, and convulsions, are not and are quite shocking to us. Lester Ballard
displays many of these symptoms in the novel. For example as a child, Lester lost a softball and
forced a younger boy to go get it by punching him in the face.
The top three most reported behaviors are daydreaming, compulsive masturbation, and isolation.
Daydreaming seems like a healthy, normal phase in every child s life, but this behavior actually makes
sense for serial killers. The reason is that one of the most important components to the creation of a
serial killer is fantasy. The killings are usually part of a complicated fantasy that builds to a climax at
the moment of their deadly outburst (Serial Killer Info Polls). The creation of this fantasy starts as a
child when the child is frequently left alone for long periods of time. This isolation bores the child and
they resort to their minds for company. We can all remember the days of imagining our knight in
shining armor coming to the rescue, or pretending to have immense strength, like the Incredible Hulk
or Superman, to help them escape from any situation. In the cases of serial killers this
fantasy/daydream world has been taken to an extreme. Masturbation begins during these fantasies and
contributes much to the

Depravity In Catcher In The Rye
In this novel, the author creates Holden Caulfield, a boy that is the world s punching bag , and
illustrates his difficult life through presenting his failures clearly to the reader. Salinger shows that
Holden has had a deprived childhood by explaining to the reader that Holden s beloved brother Allie
died at a young age. Holden still has not gotten over this unfathomable loss. Another way the author
shows Holden s depravity is by making the parents look as if they are not part of his life. Holden does
not have a good relationship with his parents and this is presented very clearly in the novel. This novel
is predominantly about showing Holden s attempts at achieving his goals in life only to fall flat on his
face to fail. A first time reader of The Catcher in the Rye might not know what to think after reading
the novel. It is not the typical novel. The Catcher in the Rye, a ... Show more content on

Jane Gallagher was an old friend of Holden s, and he mentions her many times during the story. He
mentions that he will call her, but he never gets the nerve to. She is an important part of his past that
he misses a lot, and he wants to go back and be with her again. The Museum of Natural History
represents a different aspect of his past. While Jane Gallagher makes Holden want to return to his past,
the Museum of Natural History sort of changes his mind. He remembers how he used to go there all
the time, and how he was different, but the wax figures were always the same. He realizes that he can t
go back in time, because he is not the same as he used to be. He also realizes that he will never be the
same as he used to be. J.D. Salinger s use of symbolism in The Catcher in the Rye is very helpful in
conveying hidden messages. He uses different symbols to use these messages, such as Jane, the
Museum and the ducks. They all represent Holden, showing the way he thinks and

Characteristics Of Learning Individuals With Learning...
Learning disabilities is a general term to describe a group of learning problems. Students with LD are
highly represented in general education classes. LD is the largest single disability area. The cause of
learning disabilities remains unknown but are believed to have been associated with some kind of
brain function. Organic, genetic, and environmental are three major factors that have been
hypothesized as possible causes. Organic factors include indications of brain differences in size or
functioning. Genetic factors include heredity, where a student with a reading/writing problem shares
the same problem with another close family member. Environmental factor includes poor diet and
nutrition as well as exposure to toxins such as alcohol smoke and drug use mostly before birth.
Individuals with learning disabilities possess a variety of characteristics that distinguish them from
other students. However, not all individuals with learning disabilities have all the characteristics
described in this section. Characteristics of Learning disabilities can be found in 1). Language and
literacy 2). Mathematics 3). Attention and memory 4). Thinking and Reasoning 5). Metacognitive
Abilities 6). Social Emotional Functioning and lastly 7). Generalization and application . Language

How Did Rosalind Franklin Contribute To The Structure Of Dna
Who really discovered the structure of DNA? Though there were many scientists with contributions to
understanding the structure of DNA one scientist stood out above all others; Rosalind Franklin.
Although some people believed Watson and Crick made the most contributions to the discovery of the
structure of DNA, I believe Rosalind Franklin made the most contributions. Rosalind Franklin was the
scientist who took photos of DNA to figure out its form, proved phosphates are on the outside of DNA
strands, and performed calculations on DNA to prove DNA s structure. First, Rosalind Franklin was
able to take photos of DNA that helped in the discovery of the structure of DNA. Rosalind took photos
of DNA in a dry and wet state that helped to discovered the structure of DNA. When the DNA was
dry, the strands thickened to form a sharp scatter. When the DNA was wet the strands stretched to
form a distinctive x. The dry DNA took the form of a helix which helped her to conclude that the DNA
has phosphates. When Franklin took photos of DNA it was a huge milestone in the understanding of
the structure of DNA. Without photos of DNA there would be no evidence to prove any of the
scientists theories. Franklin s photos were a major step in figuring ... Show more content on

Watson and Crick were able to figure out the pairs of nucleotides before Franklin was able to figure it
out. This made sense that the base pairs are on the inside of the strands while the outside holds two
sugar phosphate strands. Watson and Crick, from looking at Rosalind s research, were also able to
conclude that DNA crystals could be flipped upside down and backwards, and still look the same
meaning the backbone to the structure must be identical and that they run in opposite directions. If no

Essay On Crime In Brazil
Brazil has some of the most violent cities in the world. The murder rate in Brazil has been going
through the roof each year. Some cities have a murder rate of 50 per 50,000 people. Most murder
victims are usually male, poor and teenagers. Most of these crimes take place in the infamous favelas
of Brazil. Murder is not the only crime leaking in the shallow streets of the favelas. High profile rape
cases, kidnapping, drugs, and weapons dealing in the favelas are the common headlines in Brazil
(Griffin, Jo). These crimes are born in the favelas and spread through the streets of Brazil. The
economic growth of Brazil over the years has benefited the rich puppeteers of the society, but it has
made life more miserable for the poor (McCann, Bryan). Not just in Rio, but favelas have spread
throughout many cities in Brazil and now they are the number one birthplace of different types of
crimes in the country. In this paper, we will analyze an article published on the online version of The
Guardians regarding the lives of people living in Brazilian slums (favelas). The article talks about the
life inside these favelas. For tourists, these slums may be seen as a place of unique interest, but to the
Brazilian people, these slums are the most dangerous places in the country. But the question arises that
why can t the government do anything about these slums. The article describes that these favelas are
so dangerous that even the Brazilian armed police are often scared to launch any

Paper Towel Absorbency
| Paper Towel Absorbency | INT Task 3 Mardy Hodge Wilson | | | | | Paper towels were introduced for
kitchen use in 1931 by the Scott Company and are one of the most versatile paper products. They are
made from wood pulp which is then bleached to make them white. Resin is added to increase the
paper s strength and the implicated water is then removed, allowing the fibers to bond and form paper
sheets. Two layers are combined to create moisture absorbing air pockets, and shapes are pressed into
the paper to further improve absorbency. Some additional steps used to increase absorbency are
creping and embossing. Creping gives the towel extra flexibility and creates more openings for liquid

The Separative Self In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar
As Plath s novel demonstrates, people often fall victim to their environments. In her article The
Separative Self in Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar Diane S. Bonds explains how The Bell Jar offers a
brilliant evocation of the oppressive atmosphere of the 1950s and the soul destroying effect this
atmosphere could have on ambitious, high minded young women like Plath (Bonds). Bonds
psychologically analyzes Esther s thoughts and actions to understand her mental decline. She makes
the claim that Esther is haunted by images suggesting the self mutilations of marriage and motherhood
(Bonds). She proves her assertion with the evidence that Esther sees the world as a series of
dismembered body parts. Esther cites the goggle eyed headlines (1) staring up at her while walking
through New York. She details her friend Doreen s physical characteristics: [she] had bright white hair
standing out in cotton candy fluff round her head and blue eyes like transparent agate marbles, hard
and polished and just about indestructible (4). When she returns home to Massachusetts, she describes
her neighbor, Dodo Conway: Not five feet tall, with a grotesque, protruding stomach (116). In all of
these instances, Esther describes human beings through highlighting their body parts; however, she
largely compares those parts to inanimate objects. She uses the word eyes to describe a headline,
which is lifeless.
Furthermore, Bonds explains Esther s repulsion with Dodo s pregnancy: Esther sees Dodo

realized he needed more than just back up musicians like that he had used for the song
Runaway. This is when Richie Sambora and the other group members signed on
and the band came together as a whole. Also this is when Polygram Record s
executive, Derek Shulman, changed John Bongiovi s name to Jon Bon Jovi. The band s
self titled debut came out January 21, 1984. The album was filled with the group s now
signature power ballads and hooked filled tunes underscored by soaring guitar riffs
and well crafted melodies. The album was a rugged soulful collection of songs about
how tough it is being a teenager. The album went gold and sales were over 500,000.
Bon Jovi released their follow up album, 7800 Farenheit, in April 1985 which

Biocultural Analysis: Avatar (2009)
Introduction
According to the United Nations, the world population was estimated to have reached 7.6 billion as of
October, 2017 and it will continue to increase to 11.2 billion by the year 2100. The rapid increase in
population requires more food, more lands and other demands. Because of the higher demands, some
companies have been exploiting natural resources to serve people s needs and create profits as well.
With the current population pressure and overexploitation of natural resources, a question has been
raised: What if natural resources run out? . In 2009, Avatar, a science fiction film directed by James

Kitak Relationship In The Kite Runner
Thesis: Khaled Hosseini strongly argues the importance of family coming together despite their
differences because family is all a person has in the end.
Amir and his father s weak relationship in Afghanistan changes when Amir finally accomplishes
something Baba can be proud about, spreading light of a possible close relationship in the future. At
the beginning of the novel, Baba is talking with his friend, Rahim Khan, about his worries for Amir
not standing up for himself, when he is being bullied. Khan responds to Baba saying, Children aren t
coloring books. You don t get to fill them in with your favorite colors (Hosseini 21). This quote
illustrates the difficult relationship Amir and his father have with each other because Baba wants to
mold him into the perfect son, but Amir does not find appreciation in the same things as Baba, causing
this mold to be ruined. Amir and Baba being polar opposites causes them to naturally separate from
each other because Baba likes building luxury to fit his ego, but Amir values the smaller gestures
people do in life. Once Amir finally does something that makes Baba proud and improves their ego,
Baba starts to appreciate Amir more and tries to do more things with him. This is depicted when
Hosseini writes, Baba and I were finally friends (Hosseini 85). Although Amir thinks they are close,
they are not as close as they could be because Baba usually invites friends and family to join them on
their outings. Also, when they are alone it is very awkward for the two of them because they do not
know each other very well. The reason Amir feels like he is gaining his father s acceptance is because
he is taking him places, rather than ignoring his existence completely, which is a significant step
compared to their relationship before. This step in their relationship illustrates they have a chance at
becoming even closer in the future. The father and son relationship truly transforms when they move
to the United States and both find appreciation in the other s differences because they only have each
other. When they move it is very difficult for Baba to assimilate to life in America, causing him to get
very frustrated. He starts to rely more on Amir for help and as a

Understanding Change Management Models With The End Goal
We live in a world that is full of change and our organization is no different. With the upcoming move
ahead of us to Arizona in the next 12 months we must start preparing. Our company has 2500
employees. We must be aware that some will lose their jobs, some will retire and some will move with
the company. I will compare and contrast nine change models with the end goal to select one that best
fits this organizational move. The most appropriate model will then be broken down by each step to
show how it will be utilized within our company for this move. In order to be successful, we must
understand to manage the correct strategy for our organization. Understanding change management
models can help managers evaluate, design, and deploy an approach to changes in organizations. It is
important to do this because of the human nature for people to resist change. Even the simplest of
things can cause employees to react strongly. Organizations must change in order to remain successful
and competitive. With that being said lets get started.
These are a list of the nine models that I will compare for our organizational change. The Lewin, three
step model, Bullock and Batten, planned change, Kotter, eight steps, Beckhard and Harris, change
formula, Nadler and Tushman, congruence model, William Bridges, managing the transition, Carnall,
change management model, Senge, systemic model, and the Stacey and Shaw, complex responsive

J.S. was accepted into the program, and signed consent forms for treatment with experimental drugs,

the experimental medication. The researchers then suggested going ahead with the treatment anyway.
Since the patient had consented during his competent hours, they argued that it didn t matter if he
changed his mind later; the Ulysses contract was binding. The Ulysses contract originated from the
Greek myth of Odysseus, or Ulysses, who was told by Circe to be tied to the mast of his ship when

but his crew refused to listen. This was the Ulysses contract. J. S. in his psychotic state is analogous to
the state in which Odysseus was in when he listened to the song of the Sirens. The researchers, in this

Axial Seamount Essay
Axial Seamount is one of the hardest geological features to figure out the origins. Axial Seamount is
one of the most elaborate landforms I ve ever seen. It is said to be one of the most geologically
complex landforms to be found yet. I have yet to tell you all of the most interesting things about Axial
Seamount.
In the Northeast Pacific ocean lies Axial Seamount. We only discovered Axial Seamount in the 1970s.
Axial Seamount is an underwater volcano 1400, below sea level. It sits on two large rift zones
trending about 50 km (31 mi). It is located on the Juan de Fuca Ridge. When it erupts, it produces a
mile wide lava flow, and it rises 13 meters (43 ft) so it is thicker.(Wikipedia) It is also one of the

Philosophy Is Not An Impossibility
Nowadays, philosophy is seen as a simple art where people instantly question everything. People who
practice this discipline are perceived as crazy and are not understood by the society. Noticing that this
science sub exist since the former time, it has to have a value as other science that we maybe we did
not perceive as first sight. Fortunately, Russell, one of the people who practice this science, enlightens
us on the purpose of the philosophy. By extrapolating the philosophy, the comprehension of this
science could be grasp by its origin, then its significance and finally its place in the world.
Indeed, the philosophy is not an effortless subject to grasp. It could be misunderstood by those
unfamiliar to the topic. It is apodictic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A love could be more important that the one who love depending to the degree we put in it. However,
love mostly has a connotation which leads toward an entirely; this wholly that we can either pursue or
be with. But a question to our momentum could be who that wisdom that we could love be.
Wisdom might be defined as a knowledge that we use as discernment to know what could be good or
bad. A wisdom which come from the adjective wise is also having some experience in one particular
subject. We could notice in this simple word wisdom disclose intrinsically a lexical field of knowledge
inside or outside its being which is abstract.
In addition, love an intangible which is wisdom could not reveal from the physic, the material. This
discipline can only target what we can not see which has a relation with the mind. Thus, love of the
wisdom commonly known as philosophy which display two abstract notions, one is a strong feeling
which push us to significantly bewitch what we love with great interest, the other as a judgment or
experience derivative of the knowledge which appeared not strong but discreet and sober. This
paradox is what philosophy is: a chase of wisdom, a passion concerning the study of knowledge, a
sane thirst of apprenticeship concerning the different experience of life. Knowing its origin could not
be necessarily mean grasp what philosophy is.

Time of Unrest in 1848 in the German States
The time of unrest that took place in The German states after 1848 was foreshadowed by widening
political, economic, and social division with in each state. These strong differing positions would lead
to the revolts of 1848 in Prussia, Austria, Hungary, and Prague and the German s lost opportunity to
build a united nation under a liberal parliament.
A strengthened public spirit , would fuel the revolutions and unrest that rocked the Germanic States in
1848 caused by the idea of national unity (Doc 10). Some German people felt it would be beneficial to
create a unified German, which [would] render the ferment stronger then ever (Doc 2). That
unification would be the perfect path to a representative constitutional monarchy. It was only by the
unification of the German States that freedom [could] come forth, and the rule of law be secured for
our future public life (Doc 10). Other officials had very different views, they believed that the
bourgeoisie were being poisoned by the evil education of the time and were going to cause the
downfall of all German States (Doc 8). These conservatives called for the prices and governments to
crush these ideas and rebellions and call upon the support of the proletariat in order to remain in
control of their nations.
The economic distress of the lower class and the raise of the middle class due to industrialization
fueled the unrest of the time. The middle class got richer building and operating factories while the

The Rise And Fall Of Egyptian Independence
INTRODUCTION
Egypt was formally incorporated into the Roman Empire in 30BC resulting in the loss of Egyptian
independence. Egypt had experienced years of political upheaval owing to sibling rivalry and native
unrest (Wilkinson, 2010), well before Rome was interested in seizing the country. This allowed for the
weakening of the country, which consequentially made it easily conquered. However, Egypt s loss of
independence was ultimately prompted by the relationship between Cleopatra VII and Marc Anthony
therefore making it the immediate catalyst (Jankowski, 2000).
When analyzing to what extent was the relationship between Cleopatra VII and Marc Anthony the
catalyst for the loss of Egyptian independence in 30BC the aim is to extract scholarly research
findings that relate specifically to the research question and thus assist with an examination of the
aforementioned question.
Egypt occupied a crucial position at the eastern end of the Mediterranean and was of utmost
importance to Rome as it acted as a granary for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wilkinson is an acknowledged expert on Ancient Egyptian civilization. Therefore his work can be
considered reliable as a historically accurate source as well as dense in insight.
In The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt, Wilkinson delves into the history of Egypt leading up to the
rule of Cleopatra VII. He explains that her life would be devoted to maintaining [Egypt s]
independence; her death would signal the end of pharaonic Egypt.
Wilkinson primarily focuses on the cultural and ethnic divide of Egypt, the Ptolemies harsh policies,
the increasingly severe sibling rivalry and the consequential native revolts as the key factors which led
to the weakening of Ptolemaic Egypt, resulting in its ultimate loss of independence in

germany s invasion of poland
The Invasion of Poland (1939):
Germany had lost land to Poland under the Treaty of Versailles.
Many German speaking people lived in areas that were now part of Poland.
Germany viewed Poles as subhuman and wanted their land for lebensraum.
The Nazi Soviet Pact ensured Russia would not stop Germany s invasion of Poland.
Hitler thought Britain and France would not keep their promise to defend Poland.
On 1 September 1939 Hitler ordered the German army to invaded Poland.
Britain and France declared war leading to the start of the Second World War.

Hitler s annexation of Czechoslovakia breached the written guarantee he had issued to Chamberlain in
Munich in 1938, stating that he had no further territorial demands to make in Europe. Therefore, on 31
March 1939, Chamberlain issued a formal guarantee of Poland s borders and said that he expected
Hitler to moderate his demands.
Hitler was not deterred, and on 3 April he ordered the Wehrmacht to prepare for the invasion of
Poland on 1 September. Hitler was convinced that Chamberlain would not go to war to defend Poland
and that France would lack the will to act alone.
Nazi Soviet pact
Hitler s only real concern was that a sudden German invasion of Poland might alarm Stalin and trigger
a war with the Soviet Union. Stalin feared a German invasion and had been seeking an anti Nazi
collective security alliance with the western powers for many years, but by July 1939 Britain and
France had still not agreed terms.
Poland had also rejected an alliance with the Soviet Union, and refused permission for the Red Army
to cross its territory to engage the Wehrmacht in a future war. Hitler saw his opportunity, and
authorised his Foreign Minister, Joachim von Ribbentrop to enter into secret negotiations with the
Soviet Union.
The result was the signing of the Nazi Soviet Pact on 23 August 1939. Both Hitler and Stalin set aside
their mutual antipathy for national gain and in particular the restoration of their pre 1919 borders.

Yes, I feel the term cool jazz is a good one to describe the music of Stan Getz, Chet Baker, and Miles
Davis because they re sound was softer than that of Bop. They rarely used vibrato and played with low
levels of volume. The sound they displayed was that of a relaxing feeling. Their music wasn t as loud
and complex as the sound of Bop. It is very mellow and subdued, and the term cool fits it perfectly.
Hard Bop was played mainly from East Coast and Midwest Musicians. It evolved directly from bop
during the 1950s, and was relatively neglected by the public. Cool Jazz on the other hand, consisted of
mainly West Coast musicians. Some of the players of cool jazz are among the most popular musicians

Short Essay On Mother Teresa
Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. Mother Teresa.
She was always loving people no matter what and she would always help out anyone in need. She
dedicated her life in helping homeless, the sick , the poor and the dying. Mother Teresa was a petite
woman who spent most of her life caring for the sick and dying. She fed, washed, and cared for
anyone who needed it. Mother Teresa s use of unique missionary work in India was an effective
method for change because she provided for the impoverished, improved healthcare for the poor, and
established a safe haven for everyone.
Mother Teresa devoted her life to helping the poor, sick, needy, and dying people in India. In 1948 she
asked the Pope if she could quit teaching so she could help the people in need and he finally said yes
after a year of lobbying. In the year 1952 she was able to open the first available hospice in Calcutta
where she stayed with the people who were living there until they died. Next year she opened the first
orphanage which took care of handicapped children and the children of dying mothers. One day she
stumbled upon a lady whose flesh was being eaten by mice. So she took the lady and stayed with her
until she died (Demkovich). Meeting with the abandoned women in streets of Calcutta, made Mother
Teresa take one of the tasks she loved ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

introduced to Ernest Von Bruke, who worked at the university as a physiology professor . Bruke
assisted Freud in obtaining a grant to study with a psychiatrist, by the name of Jean Martin Charcot. In

His development of the General Systems Theory was due to him believing human experiences, along
with social and scientific problems could be thought of, in terms of systems. According to Francis
Turner in the 4th edition of Social Work Treatment, Bertalanffy s goal was to achieve a common
perspective and clear view of the world as a great organization , where all disciplines could be
understood in their place (Turner, 1996, p.604). During his professional career Von Bertalanffy
worked in Vienna, London, Canada and the USA, as a professor at local universities (Ludwig Von
Bertalantffy, n.d.). His life came to an end at the age of 70, in June 1972 in New York (Turner, 1996,
p.604).
Tenants of Psychodynamic and Systems Theory
Systems theory was proposed in the 1940s by the biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy (General Systems
Theory, 1968). Systems theory describes human behavior in terms of complex systems. It is premised
on the idea that an effective system is based on individual needs, rewards, expectations, and attributes
of the people living in the system. According to this theory, families, couples, and organizations
members are directly involved in resolving a problem even if it is an individual issue. System theories
emphasizes reciprocal relationships between the elements that constitute a whole. These concepts also
emphasize the relationships among individuals, groups, organizations, or communities and mutually

Research Paper On Online Classes
Online classes have boomed lately, but are they really worth all the work, or should we stick to
traditional classrooms? More and more people, especially these days have been enrolling in online
classes, due to the new technology being released. Online classes have been at lower quality because
of 3 reasons: how easy it is to cheat on them, the amount of money being put into them is outrageous,
and how small amount of control the professors have. Others might say, I like online classes because
the class schedule is very flexible and I can work it into my schedule. While that is true, online classes
fail to give you is face to face communication. In Source B, the text states that, Online classes offer
flexibility for sure. But if students never step foot on campus, often times they will feel less invested
in their education. If students feel less invested, they will tend to lose their sense of perseverance, or
their will to accomplish something. If they actually went into classrooms, and set foot on the campus,
they might get more invested in the school spirit, and find other ways to make college more than just a
learning experience.

Saline Instillation Down The Endotracheal Tube
ABSTRACT Saline instillation down the endotracheal tube or tracheotomy to aid in secretion removal
is a common practice in the intensive care unit (ICU). Normal saline instillation is used to decrease the
viscosity of mucous in order to mobilize secretions and aid in suctioning mechanically ventilated
patients in the intensive care units. Many respiratory therapists and nurses are currently using saline
with endotracheal suctioning without an adequate knowledge of any existing evidence based research
or recommendation to guide the practice. The purpose of this study was to investigate and determine
whether saline instillation for bronchial hygiene was beneficial or harmful to the patients and to
provide evidence based guidelines to be followed by healthcare providers in the intensive care units.
This is a comprehensive review from the already researched articles on the use of saline instillation
down the endotracheal tube for the purpose of mobilizing secretions and suctioning mechanically
ventilated patients in the intensive care units (ICU). Databases such as PUBMED, Google Scholar,
and Medline were utilized for the review of literature. Keywords: Normal saline, Endotracheal,

Graphite Research Paper
Carbon is a light atom with 6 protons and usually 6 neutrons in its nucleus. Sometimes Carbon can
contain 8 neutrons but in that form the nucleus is unstable. With the nucleus being unstable, the
element falls apart through radioactive decay. This rate of decay is consistent over long periods of
time. Because this certain type of carbon (Carbon 14) is in many materials, measuring the amount of
carbon 14 in that material lets us figure out that material s age. This is known as carbon dating.
(Miodownik, 2013) The six electrons that are around the nucleus are very important. 2 of the 6
electrons are deep at the inner core and don t have an effect on the interaction with other elements.
The 4 electrons on the outermost layer are active. These ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The chemical bonds in graphite are stronger than those in Diamond. Diamonds have 3 layers of carbon
sheets and graphite has 2 layers. With each layer of Graphite, the carbon atoms contain strong bonds.
The layers slide across each other making the graphite softer. Out of the different forms of Carbon,
Graphite is the most stable under different conditions. (Thadani, 2012) Chem Class: Relating this back
to our unit of chemistry, learning about properties of substances, you can see how you can go from
your everyday ordinary pencil to a crystal clear diamond. Each Specific aspect is different, even if it s
only a slight difference, that s how you create these different substances from Carbon. The different
shapes and properties allow us to have completely different properties. History of Graphite: Roughly
in the 1500s, English people discovered black rocks. The villagers saw that these rocks would mark
the sheep, so they began to break off sticks of it so they could use it to mark their sheep. From this,
this eventually ended up in the pencils that we had today. In 1795, Nicholas Jacques Conte discovered
mixing clay with graphite to make pencils. Today, this mixture is still used in our pencils.

The Maple Leaf Has A Symbol Of Canadian Pride Essay
The Canadian flag was adopted by the Canadian Parliament October 22, 1964, and the official
inauguration ceremony took place February 15, 1965. Ever since, the maple leaf has been a symbol of
Canadian pride. The definition of colonization is a process by which a central system of power
dominates the surrounding land and its components. Although Canada has seemed to have a somewhat
decent relationship with Britain, the British colonizers decided to take full control over Canada while
doing that the British treated the Native Americans with pure disrespect and treated them pretty harsh
overall therefore the British had a bad impact on Canada.
Before Great Britain had came and invaded Canada, Canada was heavily populated with families and
loved one and was home to many. For example, There were many colonies that lived in Canada before
the Britain colonizers arrived such as the Algonquin, Iroquois,Huron, and Inuit tribes who had lived in
there for thousands of years ( Canada ). This quote shows the number of people and colonies that lived
in Canada and how populated Canada was before the British came and invaded. Exploration of
Canada began in the eleventh century, when the Norse first reached Newfoundland, but it was the
voyages of Italian navigator John Cabot (c. 1450 c. 1499) in the late fifteenth century that sparked
European interest in establishing settlements there. ( Canada ). This quote shows that the long journey
that was taken by John Cabot to the Newfoundland

  • 2. Earning A Postsecondary Degree Essay Have you ever wondered if getting a postsecondary degree will help in your future? Well if you said yes then this essay will give you the information on why it is. Earning a postsecondary degree can increase your income according to the article (college still worth it?). Some people prefer not getting a postsecondary degree because it cost to much or it s too much work while others get it and have a higher income. Earning a postsecondary degree will have a positive impact on someone s life because there will be more job opportunities, earn a higher income, and a longer life expectancy. First of all, Earning a postsecondary degree will have a positive impact on someone s life because there will be more job opportunities available for them. For example, according to (Does having a degree...) economic conditions have led to a sharp decrease in employment of young professionals. Additionally, when compared with other education levels, individuals with a college degree were the only group that had a better job. For instance, according to the National Center for Education Statistics, the unemployment rate is higher than the unemployment rate in age groups. Furthermore, the unemployment rate goes down with the effort being made employment rate reflects if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First, according to .(The difference between a highschool dropout...) So, taking the time to get a postsecondary degree can increase someone s life expectancy. Furthermore, In the article (Why accountants live longer than builders) Professional women have a life expectancy at birth of 85.1 years compared with 78.1 for manual workers. • 3. Essay On Locavore Movement A Multilateral Movement Every Tuesday, of every summer a local foods market pops up in Thiensville, Wisconsin just a ten minute drive away. Every week my friends and I go at lunchtime to eat food grown on local farms. Fruits and vegetables of every color and every flavor. Juices and tea made from local herbs. Even an ice cream truck made with local dairy products. The locavore movement in all it s glory. I am proud to be a proponent of a movement that has gained so much popularity in past years. Although locavore practices have proven to be difficult to maintain and unpredictable in production, the widely popular movement has incited change resulting in healthier eating practices along with profitable advancements for the local economy. Locally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an article written in 2008 entitled, The End of Food Paul Roberts describes the present day reality about producing locally grown, ...although decentralized food systems function well in decentralized societies like the United States was a century ago, or like many developing nations still are they re poor fit in modern urbanized societies (Source F). Realistically, locavore practices are no longer practical in centralized societies. Developed nations have moved on from these practices, so they are only realistic in developing nations. There is an entirely other side to the locavore movement that is not widely known about, a side intentionally hidden from the public. In a 2014 article entitled, Limits of the Locavore, written by Margaret Grey, Grey asserts, Labor and the Locavore shows that our society s tendency to idealize local food allows small farmers to pay workers substandard wages, house them in shoddy labor camps, and quash their ability to unionize to demand better working conditions (Dissent). In essence, the locavore movement is glamorized to a point, allowing local farms to practice unfair labor methods. The labor aspect of the locavore movement is not pretty, and often not talked ... • 4. Manuel Alvarez Bravo The history of Mexico is much different than the history of its northern neighbor, the United States (U. S.). At one time Mexican territory extended north into the Colorado area and west to California before ceding the property to the U. S. after the Mexican American War of 1846 1848. Mexico and most of South America had been settled by Spain upon encountering the New World in 1492. So South American Spanish colonies spoke Spanish, had a ruling class that was not native born called peninsulares who were born in Spain but lived and ruled Mexico. Mexican ties with Europe were strong and in its colonial days the rulers and upper class individuals tended to draw from European society to make Mexico feel like the place they left behind. With regard to Mexican Natives, Spaniards intermarried into ruling families just as if they were in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was a time of a creative fertility, owing to the happy though not always tranquil marriage between a desire for modernization and the search for an identity with Mexican roots, in which archaeology, history and ethnology played an important role, parallel to the arts. • 5. Essay on Serial Killers Serial Killers Serial killers kill because of three patterns we see develop throughout their lives. These patterns are the development of youthful characteristics and habits, abusing events in their lives, and the final push. To be qualified as a serial killer one must murder more than three victims, one at a time, in a relatively short time period. The most common serial killers are white, heterosexual, sexually frustrated, young adult males with low self esteem. Lester Ballard, the main character in Child of God, by Cormac McCarthy, displays these patterns as I have found it described in texts on serial killers. The earliest warning signs of serial killers can be traced back to their childhood. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many of these behaviors individually are expected of children. Some on the other hand, such as self mutilation, cruelty to children, and convulsions, are not and are quite shocking to us. Lester Ballard displays many of these symptoms in the novel. For example as a child, Lester lost a softball and forced a younger boy to go get it by punching him in the face. The top three most reported behaviors are daydreaming, compulsive masturbation, and isolation. Daydreaming seems like a healthy, normal phase in every child s life, but this behavior actually makes sense for serial killers. The reason is that one of the most important components to the creation of a serial killer is fantasy. The killings are usually part of a complicated fantasy that builds to a climax at the moment of their deadly outburst (Serial Killer Info Polls). The creation of this fantasy starts as a child when the child is frequently left alone for long periods of time. This isolation bores the child and they resort to their minds for company. We can all remember the days of imagining our knight in shining armor coming to the rescue, or pretending to have immense strength, like the Incredible Hulk or Superman, to help them escape from any situation. In the cases of serial killers this fantasy/daydream world has been taken to an extreme. Masturbation begins during these fantasies and contributes much to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Depravity In Catcher In The Rye In this novel, the author creates Holden Caulfield, a boy that is the world s punching bag , and illustrates his difficult life through presenting his failures clearly to the reader. Salinger shows that Holden has had a deprived childhood by explaining to the reader that Holden s beloved brother Allie died at a young age. Holden still has not gotten over this unfathomable loss. Another way the author shows Holden s depravity is by making the parents look as if they are not part of his life. Holden does not have a good relationship with his parents and this is presented very clearly in the novel. This novel is predominantly about showing Holden s attempts at achieving his goals in life only to fall flat on his face to fail. A first time reader of The Catcher in the Rye might not know what to think after reading the novel. It is not the typical novel. The Catcher in the Rye, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jane Gallagher was an old friend of Holden s, and he mentions her many times during the story. He mentions that he will call her, but he never gets the nerve to. She is an important part of his past that he misses a lot, and he wants to go back and be with her again. The Museum of Natural History represents a different aspect of his past. While Jane Gallagher makes Holden want to return to his past, the Museum of Natural History sort of changes his mind. He remembers how he used to go there all the time, and how he was different, but the wax figures were always the same. He realizes that he can t go back in time, because he is not the same as he used to be. He also realizes that he will never be the same as he used to be. J.D. • 7. Characteristics Of Learning Individuals With Learning... Learning disabilities is a general term to describe a group of learning problems. Students with LD are highly represented in general education classes. LD is the largest single disability area. The cause of learning disabilities remains unknown but are believed to have been associated with some kind of brain function. Organic, genetic, and environmental are three major factors that have been hypothesized as possible causes. Organic factors include indications of brain differences in size or functioning. Genetic factors include heredity, where a student with a reading/writing problem shares the same problem with another close family member. Environmental factor includes poor diet and nutrition as well as exposure to toxins such as alcohol smoke and drug use mostly before birth. Individuals with learning disabilities possess a variety of characteristics that distinguish them from other students. However, not all individuals with learning disabilities have all the characteristics described in this section. Characteristics of Learning disabilities can be found in 1). Language and literacy 2). Mathematics 3). Attention and memory 4). Thinking and Reasoning 5). Metacognitive Abilities 6). Social Emotional Functioning and lastly 7). Generalization and application . Though there were many scientists with contributions to understanding the structure of DNA one scientist stood out above all others; Rosalind Franklin. Although some people believed Watson and Crick made the most contributions to the discovery of the structure of DNA, I believe Rosalind Franklin made the most contributions. Rosalind Franklin was the scientist who took photos of DNA to figure out its form, proved phosphates are on the outside of DNA strands, and performed calculations on DNA to prove DNA s structure. First, Rosalind Franklin was able to take photos of DNA that helped in the discovery of the structure of DNA. Rosalind took photos of DNA in a dry and wet state that helped to discovered the structure of DNA. When the DNA was dry, the strands thickened to form a sharp scatter. When the DNA was wet the strands stretched to form a distinctive x. The dry DNA took the form of a helix which helped her to conclude that the DNA has phosphates. When Franklin took photos of DNA it was a huge milestone in the understanding of the structure of DNA. Without photos of DNA there would be no evidence to prove any of the scientists theories. Resin is added to increase the paper s strength and the implicated water is then removed, allowing the fibers to bond and form paper sheets. Two layers are combined to create moisture absorbing air pockets, and shapes are pressed into the paper to further improve absorbency. In her article The Separative Self in Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar Diane S. Bonds explains how The Bell Jar offers a brilliant evocation of the oppressive atmosphere of the 1950s and the soul destroying effect this atmosphere could have on ambitious, high minded young women like Plath (Bonds). Bonds psychologically analyzes Esther s thoughts and actions to understand her mental decline. She makes the claim that Esther is haunted by images suggesting the self mutilations of marriage and motherhood (Bonds). She proves her assertion with the evidence that Esther sees the world as a series of dismembered body parts. Esther cites the goggle eyed headlines (1) staring up at her while walking through New York. She details her friend Doreen s physical characteristics: [she] had bright white hair standing out in cotton candy fluff round her head and blue eyes like transparent agate marbles, hard and polished and just about indestructible (4). When she returns home to Massachusetts, she describes her neighbor, Dodo Conway: Not five feet tall, with a grotesque, protruding stomach (116). In all of these instances, Esther describes human beings through highlighting their body parts; however, she largely compares those parts to inanimate objects. • 19. Kitak Relationship In The Kite Runner Thesis: Khaled Hosseini strongly argues the importance of family coming together despite their differences because family is all a person has in the end. Amir and his father s weak relationship in Afghanistan changes when Amir finally accomplishes something Baba can be proud about, spreading light of a possible close relationship in the future. At the beginning of the novel, Baba is talking with his friend, Rahim Khan, about his worries for Amir not standing up for himself, when he is being bullied. Khan responds to Baba saying, Children aren t coloring books. You don t get to fill them in with your favorite colors (Hosseini 21). This quote illustrates the difficult relationship Amir and his father have with each other because Baba wants to mold him into the perfect son, but Amir does not find appreciation in the same things as Baba, causing this mold to be ruined. Amir and Baba being polar opposites causes them to naturally separate from each other because Baba likes building luxury to fit his ego, but Amir values the smaller gestures people do in life. Once Amir finally does something that makes Baba proud and improves their ego, Baba starts to appreciate Amir more and tries to do more things with him. This is depicted when Hosseini writes, Baba and I were finally friends (Hosseini 85). Although Amir thinks they are close, they are not as close as they could be because Baba usually invites friends and family to join them on their outings. Also, when they are alone it is very awkward for the two of them because they do not know each other very well. The reason Amir feels like he is gaining his father s acceptance is because he is taking him places, rather than ignoring his existence completely, which is a significant step compared to their relationship before. This step in their relationship illustrates they have a chance at becoming even closer in the future. The father and son relationship truly transforms when they move to the United States and both find appreciation in the other s differences because they only have each other. When they move it is very difficult for Baba to assimilate to life in America, causing him to get very frustrated. He starts to rely more on Amir for help and as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the year 1952 she was able to open the first available hospice in Calcutta where she stayed with the people who were living there until they died. Next year she opened the first orphanage which took care of handicapped children and the children of dying mothers. One day she stumbled upon a lady whose flesh was being eaten by mice. So she took the lady and stayed with her until she died (Demkovich). Meeting with the abandoned women in streets of Calcutta, made Mother Teresa take one of the tasks she loved ... • 34. Carl Jung And Alfred Adler On May 6, 1856 one of the world s most influential theorist was born, Sigmund Freud. During his childhood and adolescence years, his scholastic performance stood out. He graduated high school with honors, and set out to study medicine at Vienna University. While studying medicine, he was introduced to Ernest Von Bruke, who worked at the university as a physiology professor . Bruke assisted Freud in obtaining a grant to study with a psychiatrist, by the name of Jean Martin Charcot. In 1881 Sigmund Freud finally earned his doctoral degree in medicine. In 1902, Freud began working as a professor at his alma mater, Vienna University. In 1906 Freud worked alongside other theorists to form the Psychoanalytic Society. Along with ... His development of the General Systems Theory was due to him believing human experiences, along with social and scientific problems could be thought of, in terms of systems. According to Francis Turner in the 4th edition of Social Work Treatment, Bertalanffy s goal was to achieve a common perspective and clear view of the world as a great organization , where all disciplines could be understood in their place (Turner, 1996, p.604). During his professional career Von Bertalanffy worked in Vienna, London, Canada and the USA, as a professor at local universities (Ludwig Von Bertalantffy, n.d.). His life came to an end at the age of 70, in June 1972 in New York (Turner, 1996, p.604). Tenants of Psychodynamic and Systems Theory Systems theory was proposed in the 1940s by the biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy (General Systems Theory, 1968). Systems theory describes human behavior in terms of complex systems. It is premised on the idea that an effective system is based on individual needs, rewards, expectations, and attributes of the people living in the system. According to this theory, families, couples, and organizations members are directly involved in resolving a problem even if it is an individual issue. System theories emphasizes reciprocal relationships between the elements that constitute a whole. These concepts also emphasize the relationships among individuals, groups, organizations, or communities and mutually influencing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Research Paper On Online Classes Online classes have boomed lately, but are they really worth all the work, or should we stick to traditional classrooms? More and more people, especially these days have been enrolling in online classes, due to the new technology being released. Online classes have been at lower quality because of 3 reasons: how easy it is to cheat on them, the amount of money being put into them is outrageous, and how small amount of control the professors have. Others might say, I like online classes because the class schedule is very flexible and I can work it into my schedule. While that is true, online classes fail to give you is face to face communication. In Source B, the text states that, Online classes offer flexibility for sure. But if students never step foot on campus, often times they will feel less invested in their education. If students feel less invested, they will tend to lose their sense of perseverance, or their will to accomplish something. If they actually went into classrooms, and set foot on the campus, they might get more invested in the school spirit, and find other ways to make college more than just a learning experience. These days especially, it s easy as ever to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Millions and millions of dollars are being spent, for kids to cheat and just pass the class? • 37. Zoo Forecasts For this project, I interviewed my supervisor at the Oregon Zoo Jody Van Riper. Jody is the program coordinator of the Oregon Zoo UNO (Urban Nature Overnights) program. This program is a part of a three year paid internship at the zoo, ZAP, (Zoo Animal Presenters). I graduated from the program last March, and was fortunate enough to get a staff position right after I completed the program! UNO partners with programs such as IRCO, SUN schools, and Boys Girls clubs to take kids out on camping trips during the summer. There are many problems that arise in planning, coordinating, and executing a 24 hour camping trip for kids that will be lead by a group of teens. Often times the same problems occur over the years, and Jody uses her previous knowledge and the guess and check method to try to solve them. If rain is in the forecast, then Jody prepares the teens by giving them a heads up about potential schedule changes due to the weather. However, if the rain comes unexpectedly while we are playing games in the field Jody has to improvise. She works with the staff to develop a plan for the rest of the overnight. Depending the severity of the rain, we may have to bring the kids under the shelter and have them play games there. Instead of sending the groups out on hiking trips we may have them have some tent time, or time for board games. Again depending on the severity of the weather, campfire may have to be on a camp stove under the shelter instead of in a campfire pit outside. • 38. Saline Instillation Down The Endotracheal Tube ABSTRACT Saline instillation down the endotracheal tube or tracheotomy to aid in secretion removal is a common practice in the intensive care unit (ICU). Normal saline instillation is used to decrease the viscosity of mucous in order to mobilize secretions and aid in suctioning mechanically ventilated patients in the intensive care units. Many respiratory therapists and nurses are currently using saline with endotracheal suctioning without an adequate knowledge of any existing evidence based research or recommendation to guide the practice. The purpose of this study was to investigate and determine whether saline instillation for bronchial hygiene was beneficial or harmful to the patients and to provide evidence based guidelines to be followed by healthcare providers in the intensive care units. This is a comprehensive review from the already researched articles on the use of saline instillation down the endotracheal tube for the purpose of mobilizing secretions and suctioning mechanically ventilated patients in the intensive care units (ICU). Databases such as PUBMED, Google Scholar, and Medline were utilized for the review of literature. • 39. Graphite Research Paper Carbon is a light atom with 6 protons and usually 6 neutrons in its nucleus. Sometimes Carbon can contain 8 neutrons but in that form the nucleus is unstable. With the nucleus being unstable, the element falls apart through radioactive decay. This rate of decay is consistent over long periods of time. Because this certain type of carbon (Carbon 14) is in many materials, measuring the amount of carbon 14 in that material lets us figure out that material s age. This is known as carbon dating. (Miodownik, 2013) The six electrons that are around the nucleus are very important. 2 of the 6 electrons are deep at the inner core and don t have an effect on the interaction with other elements. The 4 electrons on the outermost layer are active. These ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The chemical bonds in graphite are stronger than those in Diamond. Diamonds have 3 layers of carbon sheets and graphite has 2 layers. With each layer of Graphite, the carbon atoms contain strong bonds. The layers slide across each other making the graphite softer. Out of the different forms of Carbon, Graphite is the most stable under different conditions. (Thadani, 2012) Chem Class: Relating this back to our unit of chemistry, learning about properties of substances, you can see how you can go from your everyday ordinary pencil to a crystal clear diamond. Each Specific aspect is different, even if it s only a slight difference, that s how you create these different substances from Carbon. The different shapes and properties allow us to have completely different properties. History of Graphite: Roughly in the 1500s, English people discovered black rocks. The villagers saw that these rocks would mark the sheep, so they began to break off sticks of it so they could use it to mark their sheep. From this, this eventually ended up in the pencils that we had today. In 1795, Nicholas Jacques Conte discovered mixing clay with graphite to make pencils. Today, this mixture is still used in our pencils. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. The Maple Leaf Has A Symbol Of Canadian Pride Essay The Canadian flag was adopted by the Canadian Parliament October 22, 1964, and the official inauguration ceremony took place February 15, 1965. Ever since, the maple leaf has been a symbol of Canadian pride. The definition of colonization is a process by which a central system of power dominates the surrounding land and its components. Although Canada has seemed to have a somewhat decent relationship with Britain, the British colonizers decided to take full control over Canada while doing that the British treated the Native Americans with pure disrespect and treated them pretty harsh overall therefore the British had a bad impact on Canada. Before Great Britain had came and invaded Canada, Canada was heavily populated with families and loved one and was home to many. For example, There were many colonies that lived in Canada before the Britain colonizers arrived such as the Algonquin, Iroquois,Huron, and Inuit tribes who had lived in there for thousands of years ( Canada ). This quote shows the number of people and colonies that lived in Canada and how populated Canada was before the British came and invaded. Exploration of Canada began in the eleventh century, when the Norse first reached Newfoundland, but it was the voyages of Italian navigator John Cabot (c. 1450 c. 1499) in the late fifteenth century that sparked European interest in establishing settlements there. ( Canada ). This quote shows that the long journey that was taken by John Cabot to the Newfoundland ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
