An Article That Helped Break Down Phonemes And I Found The...
Throughout the past semester, I ve gained a lot of experience when it comes to teaching. I ve learned
more than I ever knew before and am gaining more experience in the actual field instead of
babysitting at after school programs. That being said, while watching not only my mentee but the
other mentees at Kids Count I ve come to realize the two biggest things they struggled at is reading
and mathematics. Most students there struggle reading in general but they also struggle in
pronouncing words. I sought to find an article that helped break down phonemes and I found the
Blending Wheel article. What drew me to this specific article was the fact that this was a specific
activity (a pretty cool one in fact), instead of instruction help. For the other article, most students there
also struggle with the basics of mathematics, so I wanted to find an article that helped students learn
mathematics in a fun way. I liked the shared story article because it brought together something that
most people don t think of: reading and mathematics. It s great for us to realize as instructors that
everything is related and can be used in conjunction with another. The first article, Blending Wheels:
Tools for Decoding Practice, focuses on a tool, the blending wheel, which will help struggling readers
of all ages practice blending sounds. A blending wheel consists of three concentric circles with a brass
fastener. Each circle has letters on it that when spun, are combined to form words. The

Dishonest Stewardship Quotes
The Parable of the Dishonest Steward (Luke 16: 1 13) This parable is an exhibition of an unjust action
committed by a dishonest steward that continues to be sneaky even after he is fired by his master for
squandering his belongings. How could one be remorseful over his or her actions but proceed to
surreptitiously receive money underhandedly in a way he that makes it seem like he or she is doing it
in a honorable way? The dishonest steward knew what he was doing was wrong and once he was
caught he just found a way to do it again but without the label of being the master s steward. This
passage teaches readers to find one who is trustworthy in every situation, because if you cannot trust
someone in a small dilemma what could possibly make you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

And a general answer would be honesty, which is a fair summarization towards the word stewardship.
According to Huffington Post, Good Stewardship is an American Duty displays the principle of
stewardship. In the article it states that we literally have one planet to live and flourish upon and with
the constant release of new and expensive products that cause pollution to our air, water, and earth. We
are the constant destruction of our wallets and living benefits. So stewardship would not only be an
American duty but also a spiritual duty to God to help protect his creation in which we call planet
Earth. We can become trustworthy stewards to solve this worldwide problem not as an order from
mammon but as a deed for God. No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love
the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Luke

Why Food Is A Natural Resources
Natural resources are important because most of the things in the world comes from natural resources.
Some people think that food is a natural resource but its not. Food is not a natural resource because
you have to grow the food first. Gas and air are both natural resources because air helps you breath
and survive on the earth. Gas is a natural resource because it helps us drive our cars and planes. Gas is
important because without it how would we get from place to place. Also without gas how would
police get to a crime scene or get robbers before they escape from the bank. If robbers get away
money will be taken away from people. Bees are a natural resource because people can t make bees.
They are also helpful because without them who would take the honey and nectar from plants and
flowers so that the can grow. Without the bees who would take the nectar from the plants to help them
grow. When bees go extinct the prices of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This helps us because at night we can barely see and if it s like that all day people might get in even
more accidents. We also need the sunlight so that people can get to there job and home safely without
any problems. Sunlight is also a good this because when it is sunny out you can go outside and go to
the beach and have fun with friends and family all day long. If there wasn t any sunlight kids wouldn t
go outside with their friends because it would be too dark to play anything at all. Water is a natural
resource because we can get it from lakes, oceans, rivers, and creeks or even toilets. These are all
possible water resources because certain types of people clean the water so that people can drink it
instead of getting poisoned everytime you drink water. When people get poisoned they will have to go
to the hospital and get treated just because they got poisoned when there are other people in the
hospital who also need more treatment than what that one person is

Male Gaze In Media
Male Gaze in Media
I have decided to introduce the issue of the male gaze in media. Male gaze being where everything is
done for the pleasure of male viewers (Mulvey, 1975) . This means that often women are sexually
objectified in the media. This issue is important because it affects how women view themselves. They
are being looked at while the men are doing the looking. Women view themselves as objects because
that is how they are portrayed in the media. Another reason why this issue is important is because it
creates unrealistic goals for little girls. Little girls should be empowered but they are not. A third
reason why this issue is important is because the male gaze is everywhere. This is a serious problem
because it happens in films, tv shows, halftime Super Bowl commercials, regular tv commercials, and
basically anything that is media related. All these reasons just cause women to view themselves in a
negative way. They know they cannot reach these unrealistic goals. The two changes that need to be
made in order to fix this issue is to allow more women in the filming industry and for males to stop
depicting everything for male viewers when female viewers exist too. Women should be encouraged
to direct movies or tv shows. This is why Wonder Woman became so popular. The director was a
female and did not give the male gaze. Women and little girls were refreshed to not see another
superhero movie through the male gaze. Women should be encouraged to conquer male dominated

How Did The Levels And Spheres Of Standard Oil Change Society
With reference to the levels and spheres of corporate power discussed in [chapter 3], how did the
power of Standard Oil change society? Was this power exercised in keeping with the social contract of
Rockefeller s era?
With reference to the levels and spheres of corporate power discussed in the chapter, Rockefeller and
the powers of Standard Oil had impacts to the society economically, technologically, politically, and
culturally. When Rockefeller was young, he found an investment that would change him for the rest of
his life. The Cleveland petroleum refinery in which he invested $4,000 in 1863, was still in its
beginning stages. However, Rockefeller was devoted to the oil business, soon becoming one the most
successful men in history. Economic power is the ability of the corporation to influence events,
activities, and people by the virtue of control over resources, particularly property. The power of
Standard Oil changed society by leading the economy to economic growth. The Standard Oil business
had built facilities and employed workers. In turn, this had also increased the economy to a fuel
related industry. As Rockefeller had expanded the business of his company, Standard Oil also
improved and perfected their oil refined technology. In terms of a deeper level of the power, the
Standard Oil business sparked the development in other industries, such as the automobile industry.
The textbook states, However, just as electric lightbulbs were replacing oil lamps, the

Literary Devices In Hamlet
Hamlet Analysis
To be, or not to be? That is the question, These words are spoken by Hamlet in the play Hamlet by
William Shakespeare. This quote is well known around the world and is interpreted differently, with
so much meaning behind a small soliloquy. Throughout the play, Hamlet, Shakespeare uses the
literary device to involve the audience on what is occurring but also to convey more meaning and
understanding. Shakespeare uses symbolism describe complex ideas, that help develop the plot of the
play. Another literary device he uses is imagery, he uses imagery throughout the play to give a more
accurate representation of the corrupt Denmark and the events taking place within. Lastly, he uses
allegory, the allegories are used to hide the moral all throughout the play. In Hamlet the play, William
Shakespeare, uses different literary devices to further the understanding of his writings, through
symbolism using objects to convey the meaning behind it, imagery using descriptive words to help
give a more vivid picture to the audience, and allegory to hide morals/messages behind other things.
Throughout the play, Shakespeare uses symbolism to help the audience further understand the
meaning. The one example that stood out the most was, the poison throughout the story, for example,
...Upon my secure hour, thy uncle stole With juice of cursed hebenon in a vial, And in the porches of
my ears did pour... (Act 3, Sn. 5, ln. 61 63). Poison was a symbol of death and afterlife, they

Delayed-Onset DOMS
INTRODUCTION
Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is muscle soreness secondary to exercise, characterized by
increasing pain or discomfort during subsequent 24 72 hours, and subsiding within few days (Elsevier
2009). This was often associated with athletes and coaches where they usually lead to detrimental to
their performance and recovery after activities. Although its physiological mechanism has not yet
determine, it may relate to primary mechanical damage that may happen to muscle cells during
exercise. Because of its transient nature (peak soreness 24 to 72 hours and resolution of symptoms
within 5 7 days) experimentally induced delayed onset muscle is used as a model of myogenic pain to
study the effects of different therapeutic modalities. Due to a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Such strategies include: massage, stretching, and anti inflammatory medications. Studies to date have
demonstrated different and mixed results of these treatments on delayed onset muscle soreness, mostly
with minimal analgesic effects, and inconsistent effects on strength, joint range and CK levels.
Over the past decades cryotherapy has been as a strategy in the management of delayed onset muscle
soreness. Cryotherapy is a medical treatment in which all or part of the body is subjected to cold
temperature such as ice packs. (Collins English Dictionary Complete Unabridged 2012 Digital
Edition). One of the techniques of cryotherapy that have been used is the ice immersion. Ice
immersion is a technique for administering therapeutic cold treatments to the distal extremities (e.g.,
the ankle or hand) with a mixture of water and crushed, flaked, or cubed ice with a temperature range
50ÌŠ to 60ÌŠ F (10ÌŠ 15ÌŠ C). (Medical Dictionary, 2009 Farlex and Partners). After exercise or training,

How Did Robert Wars Show
Robert Warshow, author of The Immediate Experience: Movies, Comics, Theater and Other Aspects of
Popular Culture, was at once a student and teacher of experience. He was a lover of popular culture in
all forms, a New York Intellectual , and a disenchanted writer searching for the cultural value in
everything he saw, read or experienced. (denby 2001, xiii) Through reading his collection of critical
essays one can see Warshow as a Jewish man, with strong opinions about communism and its affect
on society, a movie buff, and a critic enamored with experience. Experience both from the perspective
of the artist, as well as the observer of the art. From the beginning of his life, it seems, Robert
Warshow was a man destine to be a political intellectual, immersed in both history and the tensions of
the moment. (denby 2001, XV) Growing up in New York early in the twentieth century, and being the
son of Adolph Warshow who at one point ran for congress on the socialist ticket, Robert gained early
insight into the political strain of the time. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Warshow found
himself an editor and writer for the social democratic, anti stalinist magazine The New Leader. After
the war, he began working for Commentary as an editor, but also publishing his own work. This was a
pivotal job for him, as Commentary was widely known and read by other intellectuals of the time.
(denby 2001, xii) While Warshow grew during this era, as a critic of popular culture, his

Case Study Of UBER
1. I see following situations in case of UBER:
a. Competing in emerging industries: UBER has entered lots of emerging markets recently to compete
against existing ride sharing companies. There is enormous trend of shared transport not only in
developed countries like the US, but also in emerging economies where the GDP per capita is below
$12000. Ride sharing is emerging in many countries like Chile, South Africa, India, Thailand and so
on. Ordering rides through application rather than call. And rides offered by drivers using their private
cars is emerging concept in many nations. UBER is using price cuts to attract the next layer of price
sensitive customers, also it is bundling the prices with UBEREATS to lower the price. As a result of
being in emerging industry, UBER is pursuing new customer groups by entering into new
geographical areas.
b. Companies in Industry leadership positions: UBER has been leader of ride sharing industry for 10
years. Its market share may have dropped from 93% in 2014 to 74% in 2017 due to competing
companies like Lyft, Curb, Gett and taxis, UBER is still the leader in its industry. The competitive
position of UBER is powerful and the new CEO Dara Khosrowshahi s main strategy is to ... Show

transaction costs and increase employment rate in cities. UBER skips many licensing system to

costs associated with employment. UBER is focused more on growth rather than profitability, so
UBER is trying to enter logistics market along with transportation. Logistics is a very large market
adjacent to UBER s transportation. UBER currently operates UBERFreight in the logistics market.

The Mirabal Sisters In In The Time Of The Butterflies
The book In the the Time of the Butterflies, shows the events leading up to and showing the murders
of three of the four Mirabal sisters: Patria, Minerva, and Maria Teresa. The Mirabal Sisters death was
a tragedy for the whole Dominican Republic and ultimately led to Trujillo s assassination. Leading up
to their death, Trujillo and his regime hinted at some way that they would disappear. In Chapter 12,
Trujillo says My only two problems are the damn Church and the Mirabal sisters. When he said this he
meant that the only people who were stopping him from absolute power was the Church and the
Mirabal sisters. So this would indicate that they wouldn t exist while he was in rule. He also moved
their imprisoned husbands from La Victoria to another prison far away from their home, making them

Bullying In The Real World
Imagine that you are in school, walking down the hallway and see a bunch of guys bullying and
harassing another kid. Do you go defend the kid or do you stay a bystander like all the other people
you are surrounded by? Most kids just walk by thinking that if they don t stop it they re preventing
bullying, but it s just making the problem worse. People need to how to speak up from bullies, and
how to speak up for others who are being bullied. A reason why bullying still happens is because the
person who gets bullied doesn t tell anyone because they are too scared about what the bully would do
to them if the find out, or they think that they cannot get help from anyone else. The bullies think it
will make them popular or they do it to make them feel superior to other students. Another reason it
still happens is because people who witness bullying happening never tell anyone they re just by
standers. In the age of technology a new form of bullying has arisen, cyberbullying, where people can
bully other and keep their identities a secret. They do it either for fun or many of the main reasons
why people bully in the real world do it. Bullies don t think about the negative effects that can happen

It as well is in an ellipses shape where it is in an oval shape filling most of the canvas. This piece has a
very dark atmosphere, as the only highlighted images are that of Christ and and the adulteress. There
are people surrounding them all dressed in greys and greens. Jesus is dressed in an ivory which is a
color in which people of importance often wore. The adultress life drained body is looking down
towards her exposed breasts as she comes to understand her fate. This painting conveys the emotion of
a bible story about Jesus forgiving an adulteress. The emotions run very high as the individual s facial
expressions are locked in surprise and anger. Anger towards the woman and utter shock as to Jesus
forgiveness and compassionate heart towards her. Showing Christ bending down to write in the sand
as the pharisees behind him are appalled at what he has to say. He who does not sin may throw the

According to the Council of Trent and the Catholic church artworks should be a clear, intelligible
subject realistically interpreted in order to stimulate piety. This was part of the reason that the artwork
turned towards naturalism, becoming emotionally engaging and intense. This is similar to a

Greek crisis evolve? How will the crisis influence the future of European Union member states as well

1.3 The Present Debt Crisis The Past 5 Years (Greece in the Eurozone)
Greece has suffered through a vicious circle of recession over the past five years. The Greek economy
experienced a series of successive setbacks during this period. Since 2010, the Greek economy
contracted more than 20%. The investment level decreased by 86 % as compared to 2008 (IMF,
2013b). The continuous drop in GDP, which in 2011 surpassed the historical maximum for the entire
postwar period, led to a rapid decline in domestic demand. Unemployment more than doubled within
the first three years of austerity reaching 25.4% in August 2012. More than half the population
between 15 24 years of age or 57%, is unemployed (Eurostat, 2012), homelessness increased by 25%
from 2009 to 2011 as suicide rates hit record levels, increasing 25% from 2009 2010 and an additional
40% from 2010 2011 (Reynolds, 2015). In early 2014, unemployment exceeded 28%; youth
unemployment rose to 63%, which led young, educated people to emigrate in large numbers (Visvizi,
2014). Greece s uncertain future remains a troubling predicament on the periphery of the European
Union.

Firework Cremains Research Paper
Firework Cremains
After choosing cremation, you ll have some specific questions about how it will be carried out. One
that you ll eventually come to is what to do with the ashes afterward.
Those of you who are more traditional may think that s a no brainer. You may choose one of the more
conventional ways, such as burial or keeping them in a vase type urn, which are two of the most
chosen methods.
Then there are those of you who are more unconventional and would like to do something that s a bit
or even a lot out of the ordinary. Below are 40 ideas that range from conservative to unusual and some
you might even find a little creepy.
Storage Options for Cremated Remains

The Game Of Soccer Is The World s Game And The Greatest...
Erin Johnson and Megan Nieland
Biomechanical Analysis Introduction
Introduction to Biomechanics
October 10, 2014
The game of soccer is often called the world s game and the greatest sport ever to be played. Here in
America, soccer is the nation s game and only popular when one of the national teams is playing in the
World Cup or Olympics. While the sport is gaining popularity, Americans would rather play and watch
football and baseball. The slower paced, timeout centered sports such as football and baseball give
teams moments to regroup. In soccer there are hardly any pauses in a forty five minute half where a
team can have a few moments to take a breath before continuing play. A corner kick is one of the ways
of restarting play in the game of soccer and regrouping as a team. When the ball is played out of
bounds and last touched by a defending player, the attacking team is awarded with a corner kick. This
brief pause in the game allows the attacking team to regroup and an opportunity for them to score a
goal. A corner kick is taken from the nearest corner of the field where the ball exited. The soccer ball
is placed inside the arc, where the goal line and sideline intersect. The attacking player kicks the
soccer ball towards the group of attackers and defenders that are swarmed around the goal. This is the
optimal goal scoring opportunity for the attack team. By placing the ball in the right place, the
attacking team has the opportunity to score. Proper mechanics of a

Analysis Of The Film The Same Device
The same device is used by Fellini to flesh out his protagonist, Guido for the audience and much of
the film s attractiveness lies in the identification of the audience with him through the interior journey
that they take with him through his experiences, memories and fantasies which have made him what
he is and the state he finds himself at that time. Washizu s fearful reaction to Miki s ghost that he sees
during a banquet in the latter s honor which is the same time that he has him killed drives home the
point that there the struggle with the consequences of unethical actions is not so much external as it is

Desire or ambition should, therefore, be tempered, keeping this truth in mind. This is also conveyed
through the opening and closing shots of the mist and the castle ruins, symbols of impermanence with

the spirits of those who perished; A scene of carnage, born of consuming desire; Never changing, now

their desire remains constant, consuming all in its wake. As such, whether it is Macbeth in

unethical desire will always have the same effect through all human history and the ruins of Spider s

The Bonus Dilemma
The Bonus Dilemma
Jon Jacobs
INTRODUCTION
As bonus time looms, the financial services industry around the world faces an unprecedented
situation of government financial participation and intense political scrutiny. Both 2008 compensation
and the pay paradigm for future years are being reshaped under this spotlight.
This White Paper focuses on public relations aspects of the dilemma confronting U.S. investment
banks over reformulating compensation both near term and long term, from the C suite to the
operations staff. Due to recent and ongoing injections of taxpayer funds, decisions that traditionally
aimed to balance employee retention needs with budgetary constraints must now also weigh the
interests of a daunting array of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the Swiss bank said that for most of its employees,
the current system of variable compensation will basically not change. (5)
CURRENT YEAR S BONUS CALCULUS
The political spotlight on compensation poses both near term and longer term risks to financial
institutions. An obvious near term risk is an institution reining in year end incentives more severely
than its peers might lose talent to competitors early in 2009. Any perceived inequities that arise
between similarly positioned firms are a potential trigger for defections. Even hobbled banks and
hedge funds will seize opportunities to scoop up top talent that s disaffected with their current
employer.
Thus, even more than usual, recruitment staff should spend this period seeking real time information
about what their closest counterparts are doing in terms of year end incentives. Internal recruiters can
provide valuable intelligence to divisional and department heads and other compensation decision
makers.
Besides risking defections in the near term, an institution perceived as letting public officials dictate
its compensation procedures runs a risk of gradually metamorphosing into something like a
government agency itself. In public agencies, salaries often are set by published charts rather than
managers discretion, and bonuses don t exist. To the

Interpretation Of Interpretation
In this week, our focus mostly drew on the interpretation of our sources, finding evidence to
interoperate, and make up our strong thesis. According to Writing Analytically, the first thing we
should pay our attention is that we are supposed to concentrate on what the thing itself communicates
as opposed to what someone might have wanted it to communicate, which means that it is not bad
thing to interoperate author s intension, however, we should mainly focus on the subject itself. Also,
we should avoid both the Fortune Cookie school of interpretation and the Anything goes school of
interpretation while unfold coherence on our source. The Fortune Cookie is that produces an

Secondly, explain how the details you have focused on in the evidence lead your working thesis.
Thirdly, locate evidence that is not adequately accounted for by the working thesis and pursue the
implications of that evidence by repeatedly asking so what? Explain how and why these pieces of
evidence complicate the working thesis. Fourthly, use your analysis of the complicating evidence to
reformulate the thesis. Sharing with reader your reasons for moving from your initial claim to this
reformulation. Fifthly, test the adequacy of the evolved this by repeating steps two, three, and four
until you are satisfied that the thesis statement accounts for your evidence as fully and accurately as
possible. The best test of a thesis is to see how much of the relevant evidence it can reasonably
account for. Finally, rewrite the draft into a more coherent and fuller analysis of evidence, while
retaining for readers the thesis trail the various steps that you went through along the way to
formulating the thesis you ultimately choose. I would definitely say that these 6 steps helped me a lot

In this week, we kept our focus on how to make our thesis statement complex and compelling, and
also we paid lots of attention on secondary source integration.

Rape is one of the most violent crime known to man. It is also one of the most challenging to bring to
court. Considering that rape and consensual sex can hold the exact same evidence aka DNA evidence.
The book Missoula: Rape and the Justice system in a college town by John Krakauer, goes so far in
depth about the rapes that some women endured while attending the University of Montana. The way
the sexual assaults are described make you feel as if you lived them yourself. Other crimes such as
murder are far more talked than rape. This is because it is typically a crime the targets women. Men
can be raped too. But it doesn t happen near as often. Therefor, there is less media coverage. All over
the globe people have different views on rape. From people stating that women who dress
provocatively deserve rape. To this quote by Jessica Valenti; Now, should we treat women as
independent agents, responsible for themselves? Of course. But being responsible has nothing to do
with being raped. Women don t get raped because they were drinking or took drugs. Women do not get
raped because they weren t careful enough. Women get raped because someone raped them (p.1). The
target of this book is about the rapes committed by the UM football team and/or UM students and how

The Problem Of White Collar Crime
White collar crime is a problem that we do not really see the full extent of; Geis and Stotland (1980)
present the argument that the seriousness of victimisation caused by many corporations is much
greater than that caused by common crimes however the public seem much less interested and
concerned with white collar crime. Some traditional criminological theories have attempted to prove
that white collar crime is not a different and separate phenomenon to common, every day crime.
Robert Merton s Strain Theory is applied to everyday crime, however his theory was in fact set up as
an economic theory that he believed could explain all types of corporate crimes as well as traditional
crimes. Gottfredson and Hirschi also provided what they understood to be a General Theory of Crime
with Control Theory, which they also believed to be relevant to both white collar and traditional
crimes. I am going to discuss these theories in detail and show how they do, and do not provide
sufficient explanations of white collar crimes. I am also going to include Organizational Theory in my
discussion which looks at the issue of understanding crime in a different way. Traditional theories such
as strain theory and control theory form a certain understanding of the issue, on the contrary some
argue that these theories are not appropriate and need twisting to fit the issue, some suggesting a
completely separate way of thinking is needed to understand white collar and corporate crime.

raised an imperative worry, he said, various parents are unwilling to send their kids to Bowdoin or to
its sister schools in light of the fact that they are seen to be excessively liberal, and too withdrawn with
standard America. To do this he recounted a golf anecdote about the article s writer. The article s

In general, he took Mill s golf story to be a withdrawal of his expressed longing to expand the
differing qualities of perspectives on grounds. Expressing that Mills continued in this withdrawing
manner all through his location: first saying that the absence of assorted qualities of perspectives on
grounds is an issue, then actually presuming that it wasn t generally an issue all things considered. The
author points out that Mill s admits that Bowdoin is a liberal school, and that they need more diversity
however the author does not think Mills has an answer to the problem pointing out more
contradictions that Mr. Mills makes. The author then empowers Mills and the Bowdoin family to
consider important their objective of expanding the assorted qualities of perspectives on grounds.
The writer s fundamental purpose of this article was that Mills doesn t have the response to the
absence of scholarly assorted qualities at Bowdoin. The writer contended that there was insufficient
celebration of our regular American personality. He contended against ideological consistency, on the
grounds that it deprived students of the intellectual diversity for the advancement of critical thinking.
He contends that Bowdoin has various courses that deal with some group aspect of America, yet for
all intents and purposes none that deals with America all in all. That the school concentrates on social

Catcher in the Rye is one of the most famous books in American literature. Written by J. D. Salinger, it
captures the epitome of adolescence through Salinger s infamous anti hero, Holden Caulfield. Holden
Caulfield learns about himself and his negative tendencies, and realizes that if he does not do
something to change his perspective, he may end up like his acquaintance James Castle whom he met
at Elkton Hills. Holden tries to find help to mend his outlook on life through Mr. Antolini so he does

implying that somehow if Holden keeps going on this downward path down, he could possibly even
end up dead as well, however that might happen. Mr. Antolini is trying to warn him of this fall and try
to help him, before he hits the ground. Mr. Antolini was not able catch James Castle and is trying to
make sure the same thing does not happen to Holden. Mr. Antolini says to Holden, So they gave up

that he has not hit the bottom of his fall yet. He still has time left to turn his life around before it is too
late. James Castle jumped out the window and gave up on life, even though it did not have to be the

As previously noted, there are no distinctive competencies when it relates to the beer industry except
for the product itself. One of the keys to any business is understanding trends and being able to

have seen slower growth in the U.S. and Europe. In fact Molson Coors reported a 0.2% increase in

ROMANS AND THE CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW
ESSAY
Paul s argument in Romans is foundational to the Biblical/Christian Worldview. Paul brings to
realization of what God is revealing to the Christian World. Most Christians do not understand the
consequences of not obeying the moral laws and its values. Christians are influenced by other
religions because of the lack of understanding the expectations and the fact of being accountable for
their actions. Paul is presenting specific directions as how to live a godly life and to show
consideration to others. This is imperative for Christians in today s society as well as it was to the

Romans 5:12 21, reveals before there was a law, sin was in the world. Adams fall brought sin into this
world, and sin brought death. Everyone has sinned because of the event that took place in the garden.
Death was spread to man because of Adams disobedience. Jesus went to the cross to redeem man from
sin, all have righteousness of God through Him. Christ brought life to all Christians who believe in
Him. Salvation: What does Roman teach about Salvation? Salvation is for everyone who believes. The
problem today is most people do not believe. Whether a person has the physical bible today they still
have a conscious. Even though people know about God they refuse to be faithful and say thanks.
People exchanged the truth of God for a lie. They would rather believe that the creator has no claim on
their lives, and choose to use things of the world. Belief in the Gospel change people lives, and is the
answer to obedience verses disobedience. It is of the grace and the unmerited favor of God and no

Justice In Aeschylus The Oresteia

PS 371

Homework 3
In Aeschylus The Oresteia, it dives deep inside the realm of justice, who has the right to do what he or
she does. While the fight for justice is the endless battle within the text, family is also portrayed as a
weakness, which leads to the struggle of maintaining power and can be shown to inhibit people s lives.
Within The Oresteia, Aeschylus explores the consistent battle for justice. He aims to show that justice
is not something that is left behind. Instead, it is the forefront of their political system. It is what gives
the individuals the right to do what he or she wants. Aeschylus aims to show justice as; someone is
deprived of something (such as Agamemnon being deprived of his life by his wife) that another can
seek fairness and rightness for what has been done. However, he shows that it is not that easy to
succumb to justice (Orestes is subject to a trial in order to discover if killing his mother can be seen as
justice, for killing his father). Instead, it is a process that must be followed prestigiously. He shows
that there are numerous obstacles an individual has to go through in ... Show more content on

what are they going to do with that power (his mother is holding the power with his uncle, and they
used it to kill his father off so they could rule together). Aeschylus displays the family as the spark and
downfall of individuals who thought they upheld the power and authority because of its tendency to

Society, 17(4), 553 572. doi: 10.1018/015205436.2013.816743
Rationale or justification (page #: 553 555, 566 569)
This topic is important because it allows us to gauge people s perception and impressions of certain
cues in the web environment. The research will help researchers understand which cues communicate
to people better in the Internet environment. The topic is unknown as of now but can have significant
impacts down the road. This information can help sell products, help political candidates;
advertisements and the list can go on. We need to know more about this phenomenon because it will
help with out communication on the web truly works. We can find out which cues work and don t
while trying to communicate a certain message to people. The authors do not state that this study
advances the field of communication but it does get the conversation started about how the Internet
and communicating in this medium is very different from tradition communication face to face. The
authors claim that by researching cues this will further the advancement of how certain cues are used
political campaigns on the web. The study does not try to advance the theory but instead uses it
vigorously to show how it works in the study.

The Angel of Death
The Nazi party rose to power in 1933 under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, and would soon unleash a
reign of terror and death upon Europe. However, Hitler was not directly responsible for all of the

Argumentative Essay On Evolution And Religion
Evolution and creationism are one of the biggest debates Christians face when defending their faith.
To most Christians, evolution is a theory and is not true at all. Though sharing the same DNA with an
ape may make evolution seem true Creation backs up all the facts without leaving any gaps. Evolution
is believed to be a theory regarded by Christians while Creation is a fact. When looking at evolution,
there one can see many unsolved answers and gaps. Evolution is like a puzzle with missing pieces. It
is unsolvable. Creation on the other hand, has no missing pieces and has an answer for everything.
There are no gaps in creation, making it all the more believable. Though many try to solve evolution s
puzzle and, consequently, they find themselves unable to do so. Evolution is hard to back up without
having actual proof. Creation has proof through scripture making everything fit together like a perfect
puzzle. This proves, everything about creation. Evolution however, does not completely go together
due to its missing links. Without science, evolution is nothing. Creation uses both science and
scripture to prove its validity. The definition of evolution is a constant change for the betterment of
something. If evolution ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Cost Reimbursement Analysis
Sometimes when the policies and procedures of the workplace are unknown or lax, the people that
take the most advantage of it are those that are truly trusted, or in a management position. Mr. Stehm

with the padding of his expense account. The article didn t say anything about how he processed his
reimbursements, or rather approved them, but I d say no one looked closely at what he submitted, they

Normally, from a business standpoint it s wrong; but ironically from the employees standpoint, they
usually feel that they deserve it, or they ve earned it, so it s not actually fraudulent. A big flaw in
dealing with expense reimbursement is that careless, or lax, processing is usually at the root of
reimbursing false expense claims. The reports are just shuffled through and sent in for payment (there
were even stories of complicity between employees and the reimbursement clerk who received a fair
share). This is one area where repeated ethics and fraud trainings for employees might prove
beneficial. Procedures that I might recommend to the Board to reduce the possibility of reoccurrence
would be, to have stricter supervision and detailed auditing of expense reports, which would include
original receipts, before reimbursement is made. If the expense report is from a Manager, it should be
required to go through at least two others for approval. In addition, internal control systems and strict
policies must be established and enforced. A corporate expense account, or Agency credit card, should
come with some type of letter of intent as to how the account is to be used and the ramifications one
will face if it is not used in the manner intended. The letter should clearly state what items are
considered to be reimbursable as work related: gas, travel, supplies etc. The employee would be
expected to sign the letter of intent that states they understand the proper use of the account. Then, if
the employee pads the account, they are knowingly asking for reimbursement for items that are not
work related, and the employer has the documentation needed to deal with the employee as they see

Essay on The Chemistry behind our Television Sets
Chemistry has had a colossal impact on the advancement of technology throughout the world. Every
electronic item can acknowledge chemistry for its creation. A main example that everyone knows of
would be the television. Without chemistry, there would be no technology; and without technology, we
would not be where we are today. Before television was invented people tried to find different ways to
entertain themselves. One bizarre thing people used the do was to attend surgeries for entertainment.
They found surgery to be very interesting and thrilling so they watched for their entertainment, almost

The newer models of televisions contain plasma in their screens. Plasma screens are made up of
groups of cells called pixels. These pixels are composed of three sub pixels that consist of three
different colors; green, red, and blue. This technology uses a plasma etching system which is a type of
plasma processing mainly used in fabricating integrated circuits. The process involves shooting a gas
mixture of glow discharge or plasma towards a sample at very high speeds. (The Canadian News). The
plasma, in gas state, reacts with phosphors in the television panel s sub pixels to create colored light in
green, red, or blue. A phosphor is a synthetic fluorescent or phosphorescent substance. The phosphors
used are comparable to the ones used in traditional Cathode Ray Tube televisions and computer
monitors. Cathode Ray tubes are a high vacuum tube in which cathode rays produce a luminous image
on a fluorescent screen. With plasma technology, televisions are now able to display richer, more
dynamic, and more realistic colors than the CRT televisions (The Canadian News). Technology is
affecting society in various ways today. The television has an impact on the behavior of adolescents

Baucis And Narcissus Research Paper
The tale of two myths one which goes by the name of Baucis/ Philemon and the other Narcissus/ Echo
now even though both myths have a number of things in common they also present different views of
love while inspiring great wisdom from the text. The morals of the myth in which both myths have in
common is that they share the concept of love obviously but also they both have death as the outcome
in the meaning of true love. An another common concept they both hold is the love in both myths are
showing true love and that even after death your love will still grow forever. While the differences

The Impact Of Media On Youtube And Facebook
Since the advent of the internet and the yearly increase in connectivity shrinking the digital divide,
information and media have become increasingly accessible to many more people. Our personal
consumption of media has become extremely tailored due to individualization. With web based mass
alternative media offer increased range, immediacy, and ease over traditional alternatives (Owens and
Palmer, 2003; p 339) we are given the opportunity to customize both our virtual and tangible
experience. The development of this multi modal communication can be seen by the plethora of online
media vehicles such as Youtube, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Twitter, and Facebook; new unifications of
creators, large companies, and politicians have begun to utilize these mediums to fulfil their relevant
agendas.
An example of this would be the development of politics on Youtube and Facebook. The
communicative technology fosters more transparency and authenticity from politicians, inhibiting
their ability to control information/image while providing previously passive audiences the
opportunity to become active in both creating and sharing dialogue while challenging claims made in
the mass media. Politicians have discovered how to govern through social media, developing policy
support and managing public opinion via direct, unfiltered communication on YouTube (McMilan,
2015, pp 1 2). Politicians such as Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are constantly being re
posted/blogged/tweeted and have become

changing their future. Budget was provided in every sector that started economic and social from a

  • 2. An Article That Helped Break Down Phonemes And I Found The... Throughout the past semester, I ve gained a lot of experience when it comes to teaching. I ve learned more than I ever knew before and am gaining more experience in the actual field instead of babysitting at after school programs. That being said, while watching not only my mentee but the other mentees at Kids Count I ve come to realize the two biggest things they struggled at is reading and mathematics. Most students there struggle reading in general but they also struggle in pronouncing words. I sought to find an article that helped break down phonemes and I found the Blending Wheel article. What drew me to this specific article was the fact that this was a specific activity (a pretty cool one in fact), instead of instruction help. For the other article, most students there also struggle with the basics of mathematics, so I wanted to find an article that helped students learn mathematics in a fun way. I liked the shared story article because it brought together something that most people don t think of: reading and mathematics. It s great for us to realize as instructors that everything is related and can be used in conjunction with another. The first article, Blending Wheels: Tools for Decoding Practice, focuses on a tool, the blending wheel, which will help struggling readers of all ages practice blending sounds. A blending wheel consists of three concentric circles with a brass fastener. Each circle has letters on it that when spun, are combined to form words. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Dishonest Stewardship Quotes The Parable of the Dishonest Steward (Luke 16: 1 13) This parable is an exhibition of an unjust action committed by a dishonest steward that continues to be sneaky even after he is fired by his master for squandering his belongings. How could one be remorseful over his or her actions but proceed to surreptitiously receive money underhandedly in a way he that makes it seem like he or she is doing it in a honorable way? The dishonest steward knew what he was doing was wrong and once he was caught he just found a way to do it again but without the label of being the master s steward. This passage teaches readers to find one who is trustworthy in every situation, because if you cannot trust someone in a small dilemma what could possibly make you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And a general answer would be honesty, which is a fair summarization towards the word stewardship. According to Huffington Post, Good Stewardship is an American Duty displays the principle of stewardship. In the article it states that we literally have one planet to live and flourish upon and with the constant release of new and expensive products that cause pollution to our air, water, and earth. We are the constant destruction of our wallets and living benefits. So stewardship would not only be an American duty but also a spiritual duty to God to help protect his creation in which we call planet Earth. We can become trustworthy stewards to solve this worldwide problem not as an order from mammon but as a deed for God. No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Luke ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Why Food Is A Natural Resources Natural resources are important because most of the things in the world comes from natural resources. Some people think that food is a natural resource but its not. Food is not a natural resource because you have to grow the food first. Gas and air are both natural resources because air helps you breath and survive on the earth. Gas is a natural resource because it helps us drive our cars and planes. Gas is important because without it how would we get from place to place. Also without gas how would police get to a crime scene or get robbers before they escape from the bank. If robbers get away money will be taken away from people. Bees are a natural resource because people can t make bees. They are also helpful because without them who would take the honey and nectar from plants and flowers so that the can grow. This helps us because at night we can barely see and if it s like that all day people might get in even more accidents. We also need the sunlight so that people can get to there job and home safely without any problems. Sunlight is also a good this because when it is sunny out you can go outside and go to the beach and have fun with friends and family all day long. If there wasn t any sunlight kids wouldn t go outside with their friends because it would be too dark to play anything at all. Water is a natural resource because we can get it from lakes, oceans, rivers, and creeks or even toilets. These are all possible water resources because certain types of people clean the water so that people can drink it instead of getting poisoned everytime you drink water. Male gaze being where everything is done for the pleasure of male viewers (Mulvey, 1975) . This means that often women are sexually objectified in the media. This issue is important because it affects how women view themselves. They are being looked at while the men are doing the looking. Women view themselves as objects because that is how they are portrayed in the media. Another reason why this issue is important is because it creates unrealistic goals for little girls. Little girls should be empowered but they are not. A third reason why this issue is important is because the male gaze is everywhere. This is a serious problem because it happens in films, tv shows, halftime Super Bowl commercials, regular tv commercials, and basically anything that is media related. All these reasons just cause women to view themselves in a negative way. They know they cannot reach these unrealistic goals. The two changes that need to be made in order to fix this issue is to allow more women in the filming industry and for males to stop depicting everything for male viewers when female viewers exist too. Women should be encouraged to direct movies or tv shows. This is why Wonder Woman became so popular. The director was a female and did not give the male gaze. Women and little girls were refreshed to not see another superhero movie through the male gaze. Women should be encouraged to conquer male dominated ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Did The Levels And Spheres Of Standard Oil Change Society With reference to the levels and spheres of corporate power discussed in [chapter 3], how did the power of Standard Oil change society? Was this power exercised in keeping with the social contract of Rockefeller s era? With reference to the levels and spheres of corporate power discussed in the chapter, Rockefeller and the powers of Standard Oil had impacts to the society economically, technologically, politically, and culturally. When Rockefeller was young, he found an investment that would change him for the rest of his life. The Cleveland petroleum refinery in which he invested $4,000 in 1863, was still in its beginning stages. However, Rockefeller was devoted to the oil business, soon becoming one the most successful men in history. Economic power is the ability of the corporation to influence events, activities, and people by the virtue of control over resources, particularly property. The power of Standard Oil changed society by leading the economy to economic growth. The Standard Oil business had built facilities and employed workers. In turn, this had also increased the economy to a fuel related industry. As Rockefeller had expanded the business of his company, Standard Oil also improved and perfected their oil refined technology. In terms of a deeper level of the power, the Standard Oil business sparked the development in other industries, such as the automobile industry. The investment level decreased by 86 % as compared to 2008 (IMF, 2013b). • 19. The Game Of Soccer Is The World s Game And The Greatest... Erin Johnson and Megan Nieland Biomechanical Analysis Introduction Introduction to Biomechanics October 10, 2014 The game of soccer is often called the world s game and the greatest sport ever to be played. Here in America, soccer is the nation s game and only popular when one of the national teams is playing in the World Cup or Olympics. While the sport is gaining popularity, Americans would rather play and watch football and baseball. The slower paced, timeout centered sports such as football and baseball give teams moments to regroup. In soccer there are hardly any pauses in a forty five minute half where a team can have a few moments to take a breath before continuing play. A corner kick is one of the ways of restarting play in the game of soccer and regrouping as a team. When the ball is played out of bounds and last touched by a defending player, the attacking team is awarded with a corner kick. This brief pause in the game allows the attacking team to regroup and an opportunity for them to score a goal. A corner kick is taken from the nearest corner of the field where the ball exited. The soccer ball is placed inside the arc, where the goal line and sideline intersect. The attacking player kicks the soccer ball towards the group of attackers and defenders that are swarmed around the goal. This is the optimal goal scoring opportunity for the attack team. By placing the ball in the right place, the attacking team has the opportunity to score. Proper mechanics of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(5) CURRENT YEAR S BONUS CALCULUS The political spotlight on compensation poses both near term and longer term risks to financial institutions. An obvious near term risk is an institution reining in year end incentives more severely than its peers might lose talent to competitors early in 2009. Any perceived inequities that arise between similarly positioned firms are a potential trigger for defections. Even hobbled banks and hedge funds will seize opportunities to scoop up top talent that s disaffected with their current employer. Thus, even more than usual, recruitment staff should spend this period seeking real time information about what their closest counterparts are doing in terms of year end incentives. Internal recruiters can provide valuable intelligence to divisional and department heads and other compensation decision makers. Besides risking defections in the near term, an institution perceived as letting public officials dictate its compensation procedures runs a risk of gradually metamorphosing into something like a government agency itself. The book Missoula: Rape and the Justice system in a college town by John Krakauer, goes so far in depth about the rapes that some women endured while attending the University of Montana. The way the sexual assaults are described make you feel as if you lived them yourself. Other crimes such as murder are far more talked than rape. This is because it is typically a crime the targets women. Men can be raped too. But it doesn t happen near as often. Therefor, there is less media coverage. All over the globe people have different views on rape. From people stating that women who dress provocatively deserve rape. To this quote by Jessica Valenti; Now, should we treat women as independent agents, responsible for themselves? Of course. But being responsible has nothing to do with being raped. Women don t get raped because they were drinking or took drugs. Women do not get raped because they weren t careful enough. Women get raped because someone raped them (p.1). The target of this book is about the rapes committed by the UM football team and/or UM students and how the justice system failed to prosecute ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. The Problem Of White Collar Crime White collar crime is a problem that we do not really see the full extent of; Geis and Stotland (1980) present the argument that the seriousness of victimisation caused by many corporations is much greater than that caused by common crimes however the public seem much less interested and concerned with white collar crime. Some traditional criminological theories have attempted to prove that white collar crime is not a different and separate phenomenon to common, every day crime. Robert Merton s Strain Theory is applied to everyday crime, however his theory was in fact set up as an economic theory that he believed could explain all types of corporate crimes as well as traditional crimes. Gottfredson and Hirschi also provided what they understood to be a General Theory of Crime with Control Theory, which they also believed to be relevant to both white collar and traditional crimes. I am going to discuss these theories in detail and show how they do, and do not provide sufficient explanations of white collar crimes. I am also going to include Organizational Theory in my discussion which looks at the issue of understanding crime in a different way. Traditional theories such as strain theory and control theory form a certain understanding of the issue, on the contrary some argue that these theories are not appropriate and need twisting to fit the issue, some suggesting a completely separate way of thinking is needed to understand white collar and corporate crime. Justice In Aeschylus The Oresteia Kelsey Christensen Ben Miller PS 371 September 13, 2015 Homework 3 In Aeschylus The Oresteia, it dives deep inside the realm of justice, who has the right to do what he or she does. While the fight for justice is the endless battle within the text, family is also portrayed as a weakness, which leads to the struggle of maintaining power and can be shown to inhibit people s lives. Within The Oresteia, Aeschylus explores the consistent battle for justice. He aims to show that justice is not something that is left behind. Instead, it is the forefront of their political system. It is what gives the individuals the right to do what he or she wants. Aeschylus aims to show justice as; someone is deprived of something (such as Agamemnon being deprived of his life by his wife) that another can seek fairness and rightness for what has been done. However, he shows that it is not that easy to succumb to justice (Orestes is subject to a trial in order to discover if killing his mother can be seen as justice, for killing his father). To most Christians, evolution is a theory and is not true at all. Though sharing the same DNA with an ape may make evolution seem true Creation backs up all the facts without leaving any gaps. Evolution is believed to be a theory regarded by Christians while Creation is a fact. When looking at evolution, there one can see many unsolved answers and gaps. There are no gaps in creation, making it all the more believable. Though many try to solve evolution s puzzle and, consequently, they find themselves unable to do so. Evolution is hard to back up without having actual proof. Creation has proof through scripture making everything fit together like a perfect puzzle. This proves, everything about creation. Normally, from a business standpoint it s wrong; but ironically from the employees standpoint, they usually feel that they deserve it, or they ve earned it, so it s not actually fraudulent. A big flaw in dealing with expense reimbursement is that careless, or lax, processing is usually at the root of reimbursing false expense claims. The reports are just shuffled through and sent in for payment (there were even stories of complicity between employees and the reimbursement clerk who received a fair share). This is one area where repeated ethics and fraud trainings for employees might prove beneficial. Procedures that I might recommend to the Board to reduce the possibility of reoccurrence would be, to have stricter supervision and detailed auditing of expense reports, which would include original receipts, before reimbursement is made. If the expense report is from a Manager, it should be required to go through at least two others for approval. In addition, internal control systems and strict policies must be established and enforced. A corporate expense account, or Agency credit card, should come with some type of letter of intent as to how the account is to be used and the ramifications one will face if it is not used in the manner intended. The letter should clearly state what items are considered to be reimbursable as work related: gas, travel, supplies etc. The employee would be expected to sign the letter of intent that states they understand the proper use of the account. Then, if the employee pads the account, they are knowingly asking for reimbursement for items that are not work related, and the employer has the documentation needed to deal with the employee as they see ...
