Legal Essay Writing
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Legal Essay Writing" can be a challenging endeavor that
demands a comprehensive understanding of legal concepts, keen analytical skills, and precise
communication. This task involves delving into intricate legal frameworks, navigating through
statutes, cases, and precedents, and presenting well-reasoned arguments.
One of the primary challenges is the need for a deep comprehension of the legal topic at hand.
This entails thorough research to gather relevant information, understand legal principles, and
identify pertinent cases or examples. A legal essay requires not only a solid grasp of the law but
also the ability to critically analyze and synthesize complex information.
The precision and clarity of language are paramount in legal writing. Crafting sentences that are
both legally accurate and accessible to a broader audience can be a delicate balance. Ensuring
that the arguments are logically structured and the legal language is used appropriately adds
another layer of difficulty.
Moreover, legal essay writing often necessitates the incorporation of multiple perspectives.
Addressing counterarguments and presenting a nuanced view requires a skillful approach to
avoid oversimplification or bias. Balancing objectivity with persuasive elements is crucial for the
overall effectiveness of the essay.
The task of legal essay writing also demands adherence to specific citation styles, usually
prescribed by academic or professional institutions. This includes meticulous referencing of
statutes, cases, and scholarly articles, which adds an extra layer of complexity to the writing
process.
In conclusion, producing a compelling legal essay involves a combination of legal expertise,
analytical prowess, linguistic finesse, and adherence to rigorous citation standards. It is an
intellectually demanding task that requires time, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. For
those seeking assistance, various resources are available, such as online platforms like

Colonial America, New England, Middle Colonies
Colonial America is separated into three groups, New England, Middle Colonies,
and the South. New England consisted of New Hampshire, Massachusetts,
Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Its colder than the other colonies, and made up of
mountains, and rivers. The cold weather had a great effect on how houses in the
New England colonies were built. The houses were normally plain rectangle 2
story houses, with a basement. The second story normally jutted out over the first
floor, which kept the snow from piling up outside the door, which could have
prevented the inhabitants from being able to leave their house. The basements
were cold, and they colonists kept food located there. The fireplace was built in the
middle of the house on both the first and second floors, which helped heat up the
house quicker, and keep it warm. The roofs were tilted to allow snow to slide off.
Its soil was very rocky, which made it very difficult for them to grow any crops. Its
proximity to the ocean made fishing and ship building the main source of income.
Women were also tin makers. The religion of this colony was Puritan, with the
exception of Rhode Island. Puritans were very strict with themselves, and didn t
allow any other types of religions. They believed in schools, so everyone would be
able to read the bible. The had a set of rules called the Blue Laws, which was
printed on blue paper. An example of a Blue Law, is that alcohol cannot be bought
on Sundays, and it can t be bought after a certain
David Tenier Research Paper
Flemish artist, David Teniers David Teniers II or David Teniers the younger was
one of the most famous and prominent artist of peasant life in the 17th century. He
was born in Antwerp and his works were influenced by his father, David Teniers
the Elder, and his father in law, Jan Brueghel. In 1632, Teniers became a master of
a guild in St. Luke. He was later chosen to preside over the same guild in St. Luke in
1644 ( David Teniers the Younger
). Teniers achieved noble status in 1663 and also
successfully lobbied for the establishment of an art school in his city (Van Vlieghe).
Teniers is believed to have over 2,000 paintings. One of those paintings is called
Winter Scene with a Man Killing a Pig circa 1650. The medium is oil on canvas, with

Teniers flourished during the Dutch Golden Age, which was a period that roughly
spanned the 17th century. This particular piece of art by David Teniers as well as
most of his other artworks can be described as a genre painting. Genre paintings are
artworks that depict ordinary life ( Genre Painting ). Genre art depict everyday
scenes, such as that of Winter Scene with a Man Killing a Pig. It shows the
motions of everyday life: market settings, domestic settings, party scenes, streets,
inns, etc.; all that is associated with the peasant life. In this particular painting, it
tells the story of a winter day in a peasant village where a ritual of life and death is
occurring. There s also another interesting aspect to the painting. The row of
houses as well as the people are painted in warm earthy colors, which juxtaposes the
cool silvery tones of the rest of the painting ( Winter Scene with a Man Killing a Pig
). By doing this, the viewer s eyes immediately look at the row of houses, then to the
family, slaughtering the pig, which is the story of the painting, the main focus. Also,
eating pig for Christmas dinner was customary in medieval
A Summary Of Allusions In The Christmas Carol By
Charles...
An allusion is where an author makes a reference to an event or a person. Most of
the time authors make allusions in reference towards historical events or famous
people. Sometimes allusions are made in reference towards current events or
famous people. When authors use allusions they do not give a lot of details,
because they hope that the reader will understand the reference that is made, without
having to explain in detail. When allusions are seen in stories they are often used as
either a metaphor or a simile. Allusions often make references to previous works of
literature, famous people, and historical events. One book where allusions are
common is in The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Charles Dickens incorporated
13 different allusions
The Culture Of Liberia Essay
1. Year 2 2. Title: Two ways to count to ten 3. Country of origin: Liberia 4. Social
and moral themes Community and environment Leadership, fairness and equality
Respect for others 5. Why I chose this story I have selected an African folktale in
order to teach about diversity and other cultures, and because that topic will give
my students a universal foundation. In this sense, some students may be surprised
that English is the dominant language in Liberia. They may be even more
surprised to learn that Liberia was founded by Americans. Often, the stories have
an important message about individuals interdependence in a community, and how
people should behave. The aim is to build a stronger rapport and sense of
community in the classroom by engaging the children in group work; the students
have to discover the link between learning and social skills. They need to
recognize that learning is an integral part of their lives. In the country of Liberia,
people in some communities share stories with each other in a place called the
palaver hut, a place also used for conflict resolutions: the functional center of the
tribal village is the palaver house. The chief and his elders convene at the palaver
house almost daily and the tribesmen come to discuss and settle their numerous
problems, differences, and claims (Wilson, 1947, p. 69). The palaver hut is a safe,
sacred space, where no violence is permitted. Because it is a circle, everyone seated
there has equal rights,
Literary Theories In Literature
Now that the semester is coming to an end and we have gone through five
different theories, I have to say that each one is important for college students to
learn. Literary theories are a great tool to because without them most students will
not be able to fully analyze or even dissect the college level reading they have to do
for class. Reason why, is because each one of the five theories plays a role in your
everyday reading. It is also important because any book that you read is going to
have some sort of theoryin it and without them you will be lost. When looking at
Gender/Feminist theory, many people often associate this theory to be connected
to liberals. Though it does however explain the social roles, feminist politics and
etc. it is more about how women are portrayed, always lower than men for no
apparent reason. The theory helps us understand what a lady is going through in
that specific story. An example is in Shiloh when Norma Jean is portrayed as this
woman who is supposed to tend to every need of her husband Leroy. But when
reading the story you hear Norma Jean tell Leroy In some ways, a woman prefers a
man who wanders (Manson). Thus letting the readers know that she is a strong and
independent and is capable of doing things on her own. In the Tyson handouts it
says that woman who successfully juggles a career and a family, which means she
looks great at the office and over the breakfast table, and she s never too tired after
work to fix dinner,
Legalize drugs Essay example
Such an issue stirs up moral and religious beliefs; beliefs that are contrary to what
America should quot;believe quot;. However, such a debate has been apparent in
the American marketplace of ideas before with the prohibition of alcohol in the
1920 s. With the illegality of alcohol the mafia could produce liquor and therefore
had considerable control over those who wanted their substance and service. The role
that the mafia played in the 1920 s has transformed into the corner drug dealersand
drug cartelof the 1990 s. The justification that legalized alcohol under Amendment 21
in 1933 should also legalize drugs in 1996.

Those who want to be controlled by a substance should have every right to do so,
because this right has equal jurisdiction as any other human right that has emerged
from the sea of oppression and persecuted freedoms. ГЃ Е the deaths resulting in the
acquiring of alcohol have all but disappeared. When all non medical dealings in
alcohol were prohibited in the United States in 1919, the results were very similar
to today s drug trade. Alcohol oГ” quality was brewed illicitly; importers were
considered criminals and behaved as such; protection rackets, bribes and gang
warfare organized crime in the United States. (Boaz, p.118) The enforcement budget
rose from $7 million in 1921 to $15 million in 1930 $108 million in 1988 dollars. In
1926, the Senate Judiciary Committee produced a 1,650 page report evaluating
enforcement efforts and proposing reforms.
In 1927, the Bureau of Prohibition was created to streamline enforcement efforts, and
agents were brought under civil service protection to eliminate corruption and
improve professionalism. In that same year, President Hoover appointed a blue
ribbon commission to evaluate enforcement efforts and recommend reforms. Three
years later Prohibition was over and alcohol was legalized.(Boaz, pps.49 50)

The Millennial Generation
I am not a part of the millennial generation, I was born during the baby boomer s
generation. Yet, I do have a daughter born in the millennial generation. The
millennial generation was born in the time period of 1984 2000. Now in today s
workforce and society the millennial are being looked down upon for being
unmotivated, lazy, and all about themselves.
The challenges of how the young adults in today s society differ from my own
generation what very nicely putten into a sentence done by Hayden Shaw on a TED
Talk. We didn t have the freedom, choice, or charge to do what the millennial have
today (Shaw, 2016). Which is something that was bitterly true. The baby boomer
generation began in 1946, after War World 2, and ended in 1964. Living at home
with your parents is a huge known stereotype for the millennial, also with quitting
jobs easily and not staying motivated, but this isn t known as an issue for the other
generations. Which is the reason why freedom of choice is the biggest difference
between millennial and the other generations. Going into adulthood as a baby
boomer was not easy, as it is today, but we didn t have many different paths to take.
After getting out of highschool the choices were to go to college or to get a job,
even at times trade schools. If you decided to do neither it would result in being
homeless because most parents wouldn t let their children live at home anymore. The
early born of the baby boomer generation would already have children, and
Title Ix And Its Impact On Society
A huge thing that has impacted society and especially sport today was the passing
of Title IX. It changed the way we look at sport and how we address it. Title IX is a
law that passed in 1972 that requires gender equity for men and women in all
educational programs that receive federal funding (titleix.info). The government
showed that they will not play favorites and that we are all equal before the law
(Summers). The passing of this law was a turning point for women. It impacted
women in many areas of life but when most people think of Title IX, sportfirst comes
to mind. Women had played sports before this time, but did not receive all the same
opportunities as men. Women athletic programs were not provided with the same
funds that men sports and femalecollege athletes received only two percent of overall
athletic budgets. There was much less womanparticipating in sports than men so
before Title IX only 1 in 27 girls played high school sports. After Title IX, things
drastically changed for women in sports though (titleix.info). Today there is a
question about whether or not Title IX accomplished what it set out to actually
accomplish. There are mixed views on if it was successful. There is no doubt that it
has made a huge impact on women sports but has its faults made the law fail at its
attempted mission. Carrie Lukas says, Men s sports teams have been sacrificed in
order to achieve proportionality as demanded by those enforcing Title IX (Lukas).

Why Become A Veterinarian
Woof woof, meow, chirp chirp, blub blub, after 4 years of college to receive a doctor
of veterinary medicine degree I will finish college and become a veterinarian.
Veterinarians care for animals that are sick or hurt. They love animals and will do
anything to try to give them better health. My chances of becoming a veterinarian are
in my favor. The outlook for the US is growing 9 13% so faster than average. The
US has a 12% better increase in the job than New Jersey. My chances for becoming a
veterinarian would be better if I worked out of New Jersey. New Jersey is expected
to have 50 job openings by 2022, luckily I wouldn t graduate for a few years after
that so if the tide turns I can work in New Jersey. If I get real lucky I can be one
Description Of My Best Birthday
When I have urges ,they re usually to eat a poptart or a bread roll! But when I fought
my urges, I thought that I deserved it... but I didn t. I was getting ready for my
birthday. It was 11:50 on December 18 2016. I was turning 10 and I was so excited! I
was getting ready watch a special movie but I was getting tired! If I went to bed now,
I wouldn t be able to bask in the glory of my (hopefully) best birthday ever!
Becoming a double digit meant I was going to become an adolescent, but I was
drifting of so I was going to drink an espresso (decaf of course) and chew gum but I
saw no gum and no espresso! I m screwed! Wait a minute wait don t wait a minute,
It s 11:59 and 40 seconds! I was going on to the couch but then I was 12:00! And I
was knocked out! I saw one thing... me! I was in The Eiffel tower and I was staring
at myself! We both said Hi how are ya ! Then we both said Kill them all ! Then we
both said Pawniard, Charge order by the way for you information Pawniard is a
poket monster ! Then we both summoned swords into our hands that were on fire,
lightning, water, and earth, and started attacking! As metal clashed against metal,
we summoned armor and daggers as we fought and were both wounded when we
were both teleported into my room, but the way I wished it was with a flat screen
T.V., a mini fridge full of lemonade, and a a 24 pack of chocolate chip cookies! As
we fought my consciousness was wavering. I was feeling like I was falling asleep! I
was going to hide but I knew he would follow me, so I use a power outage move and
expelled all of my power, and as I suspected, so did he. Then I woke up and was on
my couch. It was a dream... hopefully. Hey, its my birthday! Well, I love cake. Time
to get my cake on! Well, I m going to chew some gum because I m stuffed. Like a
turkey right before Thanksgiving because I m tired. I just went shopping so I m
tired stuffed and bored! Well I hope I don t have another horrid, creepy, and
strangely similar dream. I went to bed while being in bed. It happened again. I was
in my crazy cool bedroom! But this time it was strangely different. In the corner
where I like darkness so I can watch youtube on my Kindle Fire, the darkness was
expanding. I saw him, alone,
Similarities Between Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde
The Other Side For generations, readers have been enchanted by the work of
authors Joseph Conrad and Robert Louis Stevenson, and by their books, such as
Heart of Darkness and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In each novel, the reader meets
characters and their others. In Heart of Darkness, Marlow s other is Kurtz. In Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Jekyll s other is Mr. Hyde. Both Marlow and Dr. Jekyll
are described as good men, who seem to stand above ordinary men. Yet, almost
from their creation, they have had a dark side. Jekyll was tainted by his other, and
Marlow was almost plunged into darkness by his. Because of their struggle against
their other selves, it can be stated that neither Jekyll or Marlow were born inherently
good, and struggled to conform with this ideal. In Heart of Darkness, Marlow defeats
his darkness with the death of his dark influence, while in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,
Jekyll fails to defeat his darkness and finally succumbs. Marlow, through all his
struggles, remains a European man throughout his journey. The Congo, which moved
as a wild and gorgeous apparition of a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This allows Marlow to stay above temptation, as he considers breaking the taboo a
moral offense. Kurtz is does not have the same problem, shown in the description
of his Congolian lover, as she was savage and superb, wild eyed and magnificent
(Conrad). Marlow s true test against his ideals was when he was talking with
Kurtz. Since Kurtz existed in his own little world, the European ideals held little
influence. Marlow notices this world, and he is given opportunities to follow the
path Kurtz took. Kurtz held the key to open the door of this path, but his inevitable
death allowed Marlow to be free of his influence. This allowed Marlow to return a
European man and not a savage. Marlow survives because of his stoic beliefs, yet
Jekyll fails as his beliefs are responsive to his other
The Relation Between Prostitution and Human Trafficking
Essay
Although the world is made up of a variety of people, every person is entitled to
basic rights. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, all human
beings are born free and equal. These rights apply to everyone throughout the world
regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or age. However, although we
are born with these rights, there have been many cases throughout the world where
people s human rights have been violated.
The analysis of this essay will focus on the sexual exploitation of women through
trafficking and prostitution within Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United States of
America. In 2006 it has been reported that out of the amount of people involved in
global trafficking, 87 percent are sex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These women shared their personal stories of the pimps who controlled them and the

Ireland is familiar with prostitution. During the nineteenth century, in well known
populated cities, prostitution was apparent. According to William Logan, a mission
worker visiting Ireland claimed that the city of Cork had approximately eighty five
brothels, which contained about 356 prostitutes collectively in the year of 1945.
Logan also mentioned how young girls were sold by family members for money.
In 1870 the Garda (Ireland s police officials) instigated 11,864 women because they
were assumed to be prostitutes. During the 1800 s Magdalene asylums were also
very common. In Dublin specifically there were at least eleven workhouses, similar
to the Magdalene asylums, attempting to transform prostitutes into proper ladies
(Luddy, 1997). The Dublin Metropolitan Police (DMP) was not proactive during this
time either. The DMP were only involved in prostitution cases if it disrupted the
public. The lack of government control over this issue is one of the main influences
that made human trafficking easily available in Ireland. However, it is difficult to
obtain research of trafficking. Before 2008, there have been no prosecuted cases on
this issue in Ireland (Coghlan and Wylie, 2011).
In a recent trip to Dublin I was
Importance Of Effective Communication
Effective Communication According to my former employment experience within
the tourism and hospitality industry at Highest International Standards , as a Tour
Agent, my core focus was on customer service. I have acquired strong communication
skills working in a multicultural environment. Interacting with many others who have
different ethnic backgrounds was a challenge and a whirlwind of languages, beliefs,
and behaviors. As a proactive employee and active listener, I have adapted to using
professional communicationskills efficiently both orally and in writing. The culture of
the business was to serve customers with the highest level of customer service by
providing travel accommodations in optional tours and hotel reservations. Though I
ve encountered variations of communication barriers, I strived to be a moral
communicator by listening critically to understand both my internal and external
customers. Therefore, working hard as an effective team player, I ve managed to
excel with my interpersonal and client relations skills.
A number of barriers can block or distort messages before they reach the intended
audience, (Bovee Thill, 2018, p. 11). Two main types of barriers of communication
that I ve experienced were noise distractions and channel breakdown . H.I.S. generally
used the organizational structure and basic model of communication. Therefore, most
interactions with my co workers were person to person communication, thus the

Gerald Shlabach On Abortion
Abortion is a major social issue where many people obtain different perspectives
and opinions other than being one sided. People who are for or against abortion both
possess logical explanations as to why they choose which side of the issue they stand
on along with their own exceptions. The two different articles share the same issues
about abortion. One article is called Prolife Progression is Not an Oxymoron.
Written by Gerald Schlabach and published by the Commonweal magazine. The
second article is, According to Pro Aborts, Even Pictures of Babies in the Womb
are Graphic Images, written by Jonathon Van Maren and published by National
Rights to Life News magazine. Both articles provide great insight and evidence;
however, Gerald Schlabach s article gives a more clear and concise persuasive
aspect of the issue, better word choice, organization, and more in depth support. An
author s word choice is critical for readers to understand the argument being made.
Van Maren s word choice does not support his audience. In his article, he talks as
though the readers already have an idea and are educated about the specific issue he
is referring to. An example of this is when he says, It is the truth... Show more content

why abortion can cause mixed feelings the organization and personal outlook of
Schlabach s article is best written. Van Maren s article lacks his own opinions and
his argument is weak for such a controversial issue. Although both articles give
great insight to the issue, Schlabach s argument for this issue represents how we
should argue our side as well. Schlabach uses his own examples and thoughts as
well as supporting his statements better than Van Maren. Prolife Progressive is Not

Working Abroad For The United States
Merriam Webster defines expatriate as to leave one s native country to live
elsewhere; also: to renounce allegiance to one s native country . The definition has
changed to some degree. Expatriate now also includes those that leave their
country in order to provide work services for their company or organization. Many
people leave their country of origin for their jobs. More and more companies are
sending employees and their families abroad to help with lines of communication
as well as specialty skill reasons. I researched this topic through books, online
sources as well as online articles written on the subject. Working overseas is
nothing new these days. People are no longer bound to one country for work. Not
only is it easier for foreigners to work in the United States, but it is now easier for
Americans to work in other countries as well. Being a specialist in a career or
someone that is valued within a company can now make you much more valuable
and in turn, you may have the option to work wherever you wish. Working abroad
can be fun and challenging. There are many things to consider when working and
living in a different country, such as culture and language barriers. I chose this
topic because my father worked in Mexico for three years when I was growing up
and I remember all the things he went through to actually move there, as well as all
the interesting things I learned spending the summers there. Living abroad can pose
lots of issues and can be a

future and option contract, are mostly used for hedging exchange risks. On the other

5.1 Future contracts
According to Eun and Resnick(2014), a future contract is an agreement to buy or sell
a standardized quantity and predetermined currency with predetermined exchange rate
on the maturity date on organized exchanges. Future contracts have specified delivery
months (at end of March, September or December in the forthcoming year).
Different purposes decide to execute different future contracts and positions. As a
hedger, who aims to prevent losses from exchange exposure and price variation, will
be locking in a purchase price of the predetermined currency through a long position,
which means you must buy that currency when it has matured, or a sales price
through a short position.(Eun and Resnick, 2014).

Exploring the Disorder, Tourette Syndrome Essay
Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder first described by a French physician
named Georges Gilles de la Tourette, in 1885. Tourette syndrome (TS) consists of
varies abrupt, rapid, involuntary, and repeated movements or vocal sounds, known
as tics. Until 1970, TS was frequently misdiagnosed as schizophrenia, obsessive
compulsive disorder, epilepsy, or nervous habits, concluding that this mental
disorder is extremely rare and has similar characteristics as other mental disorders
(Kahn and Fawcett 375). Since there is no specific test that can diagnose TS,
doctors have to rely on a person s behaviors and personal history to identify the
disorder. About one person in two thousand people is likely to have TS; additionally
males are four... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many people often misunderstand TS as rudeness, offensive behavior, and even
craziness. Thus, children with TS are often ridiculed or teased by their fellow
peers. Due to this, many children avoid social gathering and suffer from
depression or substance abuse. This is one of the many reasons why children with
tics should be informed of their disorder and should receive tremendous amounts
of support and love from their friends and families. People with TS are also likely
to have other mental problems like depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and self
injurious behaviors. As mentioned above, TS can occur in anyone, even famous
people. Some of the famous people that had TS were Jim Eisenreich, Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart, and Marc Summers. TS does not disable a person from working
efficiently or living a perfectly normal life. People with TS can attend and succeed
school just as a normal person can. The disorder does not affect their intelligence
or their ability to learn, thus enabling them to live a perfectly normal life. They
have the same earning potential, intelligence, and working ability similar to any
other person. One of the best ways to cope with TS is to remember that the tics
usually lessen in severity as an individual gets older. Tics usually reach its highest
potential during early teens to the middle years of adolescence. If a person with TS
The Top Four Retail Chocolate
This structured analysis focuses on the top four retail chocolate manufacturers in
terms of global net sales from 2014. The top four chocolate manufactures are Mars
Inc., Mondelez International, Ferrero Group and Nestle SA. These manufactures
hold approximately 30% of the global retail market share demonstrating their brand
power through successful advertising and marketingtechniques (appendix 4.1). The
global chocolate industry itself has grown by approximately $8 billion USD (net
sales) since 2012 despite the growing demand for healthy and organic foods.
Organic food sector demands are estimated to grow 14% in the United States through
2018, despite the fact that US chocolate sales have grown 24% in a that time frame
(TechSci,2014). The conflicting statistics could only be explained by the successful
marketing of retail chocolate companies who have recognized the shifts in market
preferences and consumer behavior, and successfully adapted to these trends keeping
the appeal of chocolate.

Globalization Of Mcdonaldization
McDonalds is a fast food company that was founded in the 1940 s. In McDonalds
short existence it has revolutionized not only the fast food industry, but the way in
which business is conducted world wide. What the McDonald brothers and then
Ray Kroc set out to accomplish was a business model that standardized all aspects
of operation, in order to make expansion effortless. So great their power of growth
that McDonalds now has over 31 thousand stores in over 118 countries. So iconic
that the average US school child can recognize Ronald McDonald. Ritzer describes
McDonaldization as ...the process by which the principles of the fast foodrestaurant
are coming to dominate more and more sectors of American society as well as of
the rest of the world (Ritzer, 1993:1). This penetration by the ideal of
McDonaldization can be seen in our school system. School systems are moving
towards producing graduates, as apposed to imparting knowledge. Currently in the
US we have over 13,000 McDonalds, and according to Ritzer the US only contains
half of the worlds McDonalds (Ritzer, 2013:287). These figures show that globally
we are moving towards producing for consumers, standardized products. McDonald s
has become a company that incorporated economics, psychology and sociology in its

The Triton Fountain By Gian Lorenzo Bernini
The Triton Fountain was specially made for Pope Urban VIII Barberini by Gian
Lorenzo Bernini. The fountain is placed at the center of the piazza; the fountain
represents the God of Sea with anthropomorphic body and huge fish tail, kneeling
on an open shell supported by the tails of four dolphins. The dolphins, leaning
towards each of the four cardinal directions, open their mouths to swallow the water
of the surrounding pool, telling us that they drink up all the waters of the world. The
fins of the dolphins clutch the crown of Urban VIII, with papal tiara, keys of St.
Peter, and Barberini bees. The Triton as the subject of this fountain is a very
interesting choice. According to many historical sources, PopeUrban VIII was a very
talented poet, and he was very well known for his pursuits in this field. Triton was
someone who achieved a sacred unity with nature and literature. And as we can see
from the monument, the Triton was an appropriate public monument to Pope Urban s
distinguished literary accomplishments. On the other hand, this explanation of the
connection between Triton and Pope Urban is not effective, and unquestionably does
not give us full information. American art historian John Beldon Scott has established
that Urban was suspicious of pagan imagery for fear it might lead the faithful astray.
This suggests that the Triton Fountain may imply to something more significant than
just the simple literary symbol. Also, it is important to mention that at least three
Genocide In Greek Genocide
One of the most gruesome genocides to happen during the 20th century is the Greek
Genocide, often referred to as the Pontian or Ottoman Greek Genocide. This genocide
consisted of mass killings and exterminations of the Ottoman Greeks by the Turkish
rule from 1914 1923. The main dispute was difference in religion and beliefs,
Christians versus Islam. What most people do not know is that the Ottoman Greek
Genocide is responsible for the almost complete destruction of the Christian Orthodox
culture, including monuments and history. Many Greekssuffered from forced
deportations, death marches, forced conversion of religion, executions, labor
battalions, hunger, and the overall cruelty of the Turkish government during this time
period. The ones responsible for these acts was the Committee of Union and Progress
(CUP) and the Young Turk reformists who seized control of the Ottoman Empire
.
Ottoman Greeks of all ages and genders were persecuted because of their culture
and minority in Turkey, so that the CUP and the Young Turks could achieved
perfect Turkification of the empire. The events of the Pontian Greek Genocide
happened in the westernmost part of Asia called Asia Minor or Anatolia, which is
the Greek word for east . The Greeks first settled in Asia Minor around the 11th
century (BC). From the 4th century (AD), Asia Minor s main religious practice has
been Christianity in which it has played an important role in the development of
Christianity. For a long period of time,
Karel Benz s Impact On The Modern World
Karel Benz was the first person to make the car. The first car was known as the
Motorwagen.
Karel Benz was also the creator of a car company that still exists today. It took a lot
of improvements and redesigning of the car to make it run smoothly and efficiently.
The creation of the car had a huge impact on the modern world.
Karl Benz was born in 1884 in Karlsruhe. His father died due to an accident when
Benz was 2 years old. Even though his father died Benz s mother supported him and
his education.
After a lot of hard work Benz was able to be admitted to the University of Karlsruhe
at the age
15. He graduated in 1864 with a mechanical engineering degree. Karel Benz
patented the first gasoline powered car in 1886. But he was not the original designer
of the car. It all started ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The internal combustion engine is vital to the modern automobile. An internal
combustion engine uses an explosive combustion of fuel to push a piston within a
cylinder. The piston moves to turn a crankshaft that is connected to the car s wheels
through a drive shaft.
Without an engine a car could not move. The internal combustion engine has a long
history of how it was improved and redesigned, without which the car would wouldn t
be able to function.
In 1680 Christiaan Huygens designed an internal combustion engine fueled by
gunpowder. Then in 1826 Samuel Brown altered a steam engine to burn gasoline
and put it on a carriage. Later Jean Joseph Etienne Lenoir patented a double acting,
spark ignition internal combustion engine fueled by coal gas in 1858. Then he
improved the engine so it would run on petroleum and it was attached to a three
wheeled wagon which could travel 50 miles. In 1873 an
American engineer named George Brayton developed a two stroke kerosene engine.
Then in
1876 Nikolaus August Otto improved the two stroke kerosene engine into the four
stroke engine.
Later in 1885 Gottlieb Daimler invented the prototype of the modern gasoline engine.

Lord Of The Flies Chapter 4 Analysis
In Chapter 4 of William Golding s Lord of the Flies, fire may be the boys best
escape route and only hope for survival, but, for the time being, Jack and his
hunters must do what is necessary to provide food to allow possible survival.
Introduced in chapter two, the element of fire becomes prominent, and, although
unaware at the time, the boys would later realize that fire may be their last glowing
bit of light on an island shrouded with smoke. Ralph insisted that the boys keep the
fire running at all hours of the day, hoping that a rescue boat or helicopter might
appear to set the boys free and save them from this hellish nightmare of a life. There
s another thing. We can help them to find us. If a ship comes near the island they
may not notice us. So we... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In everyday life, fire is necessary because humans use fire for cooking, smelting,
and heating purposes, and humans rely on fire as the basis for existence. When
Jack allows the fire to go out by diverting their attention from the fire to hunting for
pigs, chaos ensues in Ralph s desperate, yet successful, attempts to reignite the fire.
Ralph becomes enraged that Jack would distract the boys from the fire although
Jack s ability to get food for survival proves to be much more helpful in the short
term, but Ralph disregarded this mindset of food before fire. In his hierarchy of
needs, Maslow place s safety, which includes fire, on the second tier of his
hierarchy of needs, but he places food on the first and most important tier, along
with water, as a bare necessity. Jack helps more than the fire does because he
provides the pig meat, and without food, the boys on the island would certainly die
slowly and painfully of hunger. The boys desparation to restart the fire shows the
island s likeness to a society walking a tightrope between civilized and primitive, id

Word Choice In Mother To Son By Langston Hughes
The poem Mother to Son is a short poem by Langston Hughes. In the poem the
mom is talking to her son about how hard life is and how he can t give up. She
explained that her journey has been hard as well and is still hard, but she is still
going on, so therefore he can to. Langston Hughes effectively uses the stylistic voice
and the stylistic word choice in Motherto Son to illustrate/convey/reveal to the son
how hard life is, but how he must never give up. The mother is speaking to her son
Well, son, I ll tell you (line 1), trying to teach him more about life and get him to
understand how hard it is, Cause you finds it s kinder hard, Don t you fall now .

Fences, By Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Many authors have utilize historical events that have occurred throughout the world
to tell a story. In the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude written by Gabriel Garcia

city of Macondo is going through a crisis of civil wars between the liberal and the
conservatives who are attempting to corrupt the town. In the play Fences by August

Wilson portrayed a series of ten plays during the Pittsburgh Cycle to to showcase
the lifestyle of African Americans. Many African during this time period of the
1950 s were dealing with racism and discrimination. African American had no or
very little rights. It was a harsh and difficult time that African Americans had to live
through there were many inequalities they face on white color jobs. In addition,
this was the prime time of the Civil rights Era, which contribute to the injustice they
faced. However during the mid 1950 s time did began to progress and things
changed for African Americans for the better. Wilson expressed this through his play,
he mentioned that the Maxson here frequently facing discrimination in their town
by the white people. The protagonist Troy Maxson dealt with discrimination the
most. In the first scene Troy states that he was working in a company owned by
whites. He was very disappointed at the fact that he worked a low quality job
compared to the non color men; the white men who worked at the company drove
trucks (white collar) while Troy had to pick up trash (blue collar). Unfortunately,
Troy was not given the same privilege as the white men due to African American
descendants. Troy could not stand for this inequality, so he talked to his boss
demanding that he wanted to drive the truck rather that
Waste Collection and Management
A case study was conducted by Colon Fawcett (2006).The example from the
EXNORA s waste management scheme in south India is one more very good
example.EXNORA which is an acronym for EXcellent NOvel RAdical is an NGO
which is based on the zero waste management setup, and which is run and enhanced
by the residents themselves. The study has been quoted successful widely and
various studies have been carried out regarding this. In Chennai and Hyderabad
various residential areas have attained the zero waste goal. Though the success is
limited it has also led to significant reduction of the waste from dumping and in
rehabilitation of the poor. The overall reduction of the cities is around 37% and 33%.
This study shows that it just needs motivated people to successfully setup and
manage the waste collection systems which lead to overall improvement of the
environment. This effort also provided employment to the local socially deprived
people. The middle class people of chennai supported this approach. Initially it the
scheme had to face problems like lack of motivation and political support, community
involvement which actually threatened the long time sustainability of the program
but later on the results were evident of its effectiveness and then the policy flourished.
It required significant amount of local resources. Another success story is about the
Visakhapatnam project which is based on on the triangular contracts between the
municipality, the residents and the micro
Smoking Satire
Health over Habit: The Smoking Epidemic Public smoking has been an issue for
people who do not take part in the smoking epidemic for as long as smoking has
been around. What people need to understand is that individuals who do not engage
in the activity of ruining their lungs are being forced into the act of involuntary
smokingrather they like it or not, and that is unacceptable. I whole heartedly feel the
government should intervene and ban public smoking, with no exceptions. Now
when we talk about the government doing something like banning all smoking in

Internet Dating Essay
Title : Internet Dating: Should or Should Not? Stand : Should Not Specific
purpose : To convince my audience that internet dating brings lots of danger. In the
world we live in today some people rely on the internet in order to find love. But
online dating isn t all that it s cracked up to be. In fact, you should stay away from
it. Dating online is not safe. Sure there are some dating sites that are legitimate and
a little less dangerous, but some people rely on facebook, myspace, and instant
messaging for dating which is just plain wrong. Not only is it unpersonal, but you
can never tell who you re really seeing. The picture you re looking at could be years

It is so addictive. So, in essence, it does something it does something for your ego
that is very false. We have seen how internet dating can be so addictive, and now
let s take a look how it can also rise almost all fake and false profile. People do not
always tell you the truth. People may give you a photograph that is ten years old
when they take the best photograph that they ever have, or a touched up
photograph which is not really them. Not all sites require a photo, and even those
that do cannot guarantee that the photo is a real one. Clear signs that the photo
may be a fake are strange backgrounds that might indicate a stock image, photos that
appear professionally taken (unless the person is a model or actor) and photos that
seem old rather than current. Profiles can be false or partially false as some people
attempt to make themselves sound as appealing to others and take it too extremes.
Last but not least, the other disadvantage of internet dating is expensive fees.
Expensive fees. While online dating may at first seem cheaper than real world
dating (no need to pay for drinks or cab rides), the truth is that most matchmaking
sites charge a fee. Some Internet dating sites charge far too much money and some
will not allow us to view the profiles of other people until we become a member and
pay the fees. This fee may not be all inclusive, and extras sometimes add up. Some

Analysis Of The Killer Angels By Shaara
War is a complex event. Many different aspect go into the complicated planning of
a war from amount of troops or supplies, layout of land and more. The Killer
Angels by Michael Shaara gives a unquestionable vivid image of the Battle of
Gettysburg. In this novel it took place in the span of three days and gives us the
points of views from both the Union and Confederate armies. Mr. Shaara s
historical accuracy is spot on from the innermost thoughts of the characters to the
geographical location and weather descriptions to allow the readers to get a taste of

The book was historically accurate in all perspectives. This is shown from the
location, characters and the thoughts of them. One thing that was a big part of the
entire battle was loyalty. In many parts of the book loyalty is shown from the
generals and commanders. For example even though Longstreet did not agree with
the decisions of Lee he still stayed loyal to his commander and they army by going
in with the plan. Shaara captured the essence of the battle that I ve never seen
before. Honor without intelligence is a disaster. Honor could lose the war. (p.133).
The one thing I really admire about the way the book was written in such of way that
you can change the perspective of the North and South to see how each is reacting to
the events going on at the same

Intercultural Communication In Hotel Rwanda
The definition of Intercultural communication is a method of communication that
aims to share information across different cultures and social groups. The challenges
that may occur during this type of communication come from misunderstanding
individual s communication from a different culture other than their own. Each
individual from their respective cultureencodes and encodes messages verbally and
non verbally. Many barriers can be put up when trying to initiate intercultural
communication. In this paper, I will discuss the film Hotel Rwanda while examining
the different intercultural barriers and diversity issues that are presented within the
film. Throughout the film, just about all the decisions or action made by a character

His bravery and poise keeps the refugee s safe, but Paul was helpless when the
United Nations withdrew from protecting the area. He pleaded but could not keep
the UN s presence there, but does not give up hope. The privilege and disadvantage
dialectic is established throughout the film, providing the main character with hope
that he can protect the refugees, but also hopelessness when he is abandoned by
allied forces.
The second thing that stood out to me was the dialectic of history past, present, and
future. These ideal shapes the plot of the movie, creating tensions and civil war
between the two battling cultures. The past between the two cultures creates
uneasiness, leading to an unbalance of power and eventually civil war where an
estimated 800,000 people were killed. Hotel Rwanda describes the history between
the two cultures, and how it came to be that the Tutsi had control of the state rather
than the Hutu. The struggles for the Tutsi during the genocide were enormous, and
due to the little aid from other allied states, the cultures were clashing on their own
without help from other states. I believe that this had an effect on the Colonel,
although he did not feel this way. At the moment, he was representing his country,
and he was ashamed of these beliefs. The best strategy for this barrier, I believe, is
becoming other oriented. If there was any consideration for the people of Rwanda, or
if people took the time to emphasize with what was going on, the
Jose De San Martin s Declaration Of Independence
Jose de San Martin was a well loved army general, and liberator extraordinaire. So
well loved, in fact, that when he arrived in Lima, Peru in July, 1821, a lady walked
up to him, swooned, fell into his arms, and repeatedly said Mi General! Mi
General! San Martin was humbled, and when she tried to leave his arms, he helped
her up, and gave her an affectionate salute. This woman loved San Martin, but did
all Peruvians? The country of Peru gained independence from Spain in 1824, but
before that, independence was proclaimed on July 28th, 1821 by Jose de San
Martin, the Argentine leader of the independence army. San Martin fought against
the Royalist army led by Jose de la Serna in a series of battles, the declaration of
independence was signed by the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to William Spence Robertson, the first professor of Latin American
history at the University of Illinois, everyone in Lima was overjoyed by the idea of
independence. After the declaration San Martin held a ball, and the city was filled
with celebration. Timothy E. Anna, professor emeritus at the University of
Manitoba, provides a stark contrast to Robertson s view. He claims that the
declaration was faked, and the only reason Peruvians signed it was because they
were afraid of San Martin s foreign army. Carleton Beals, a prominent journalist on
Latin American issues in the mid 1990s, introduces yet another argument on
independence. He claims that independence ideals were a grassroots idea spread
throughout the military. The signing of the declaration of independence was a key
moment in the independence process, and can show evidence of the real mindset of
the Peruvian people. Because Jose de San Martin s army shut down trade,
intimidated the people of Lima, and destroyed various cities off of the coast, the
people of Peru didn t actually want the independence they were forced

The conflict plays a big part in the book because it provides the climax of the story.
It s what the character is fighting with or against. There are two types of conflict,
external and internal. External conflict is when a character is against an outside

such as good vs. evil thoughts. The conflict in Little House on the Prairie is
external because soldiers are coming in from New York to take the white settlers
off of the Indian s land. The Ingalls have their farm and house three miles over the

the book Words West is also external because on the trail many people died of

In Vitro Fertilization Essay
Synopsis:
It is estimated that 11.5‐15.7% of couples in Canada experience infertility.1 In
vitro fertilization (IVF) is an assisted reproductive technology that increases the
chance of pregnancy for those who cannot conceive naturally. The Ontario Joint
Review Panel (JRP) had recommended de insuring IVF procedures for all infertility
diagnoses except for bilateral fallopian tube blockage, and Ontario had implemented
this recommendation in 1994, whereas prior to that date, Ontario had paid for all
IVFs. However, the technology has since improved, leading to calls to revisit this
decision in order to reconsider public funding of IVF.
Policy Options:
(I) Universal coverage for up to three IVF cycles. This option would cover up to three
IVF cycles and the associated medical services to all women. This option considers
the argument that infertility is a medical condition, and therefore treatment should be
insured like other diseases. Adopting this strategy would consider reproduction and
parenthood as a right rather than a privilege. In August 2010, Quebec became the
first Canadian jurisdiction to offer full coverage for IVF regardless of their age. It
was quoted that this initiative would save on the costs of treatments for premature
babies and would drop the rate of multiple pregnancies.2 However, this approach

In this field, my career goals include a wide variety of task. As the name suggests,
there are two sides to this field, organizational and industrial. The industrial side of
industrial and organizational psychology generally focuses on the individuals and

might conduct a job analysis, employee safety, employee training, job performance
measurement, and employee hiring systems. The organizational side of industrial
and organizational psychology, on the other hand, focuses on increasing
productivity in the workplace, improving the quality of life for employers and
employees or even improves organizational structure. While I am working in this
field I will be working with business owners, CEOs, supervisors, and employees. I
will be working in blue collar organizations, like factories, and construction sites. I
also plan on working in white collar organizations, such as office

New England consisted of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Its colder than the other colonies, and made up of mountains, and rivers. The cold weather had a great effect on how houses in the New England colonies were built. The houses were normally plain rectangle 2 story houses, with a basement. The second story normally jutted out over the first floor, which kept the snow from piling up outside the door, which could have prevented the inhabitants from being able to leave their house. The basements were cold, and they colonists kept food located there. The fireplace was built in the middle of the house on both the first and second floors, which helped heat up the house quicker, and keep it warm. The roofs were tilted to allow snow to slide off. Its soil was very rocky, which made it very difficult for them to grow any crops. Its proximity to the ocean made fishing and ship building the main source of income. Women were also tin makers. Why I chose this story I have selected an African folktale in order to teach about diversity and other cultures, and because that topic will give my students a universal foundation. In this sense, some students may be surprised that English is the dominant language in Liberia. They may be even more surprised to learn that Liberia was founded by Americans. Often, the stories have an important message about individuals interdependence in a community, and how people should behave. The aim is to build a stronger rapport and sense of community in the classroom by engaging the children in group work; the students have to discover the link between learning and social skills. They need to recognize that learning is an integral part of their lives. In the country of Liberia, people in some communities share stories with each other in a place called the palaver hut, a place also used for conflict resolutions: the functional center of the tribal village is the palaver house. The chief and his elders convene at the palaver house almost daily and the tribesmen come to discuss and settle their numerous problems, differences, and claims (Wilson, 1947, p. 69). The palaver hut is a safe, sacred space, where no violence is permitted. Because it is a circle, everyone seated there has equal rights,
  • 6. Literary Theories In Literature Now that the semester is coming to an end and we have gone through five different theories, I have to say that each one is important for college students to learn. Literary theories are a great tool to because without them most students will not be able to fully analyze or even dissect the college level reading they have to do for class. Reason why, is because each one of the five theories plays a role in your everyday reading. It is also important because any book that you read is going to have some sort of theoryin it and without them you will be lost. When looking at Gender/Feminist theory, many people often associate this theory to be connected to liberals. Though it does however explain the social roles, feminist politics and etc. it is more about how women are portrayed, always lower than men for no apparent reason. The theory helps us understand what a lady is going through in that specific story. An example is in Shiloh when Norma Jean is portrayed as this woman who is supposed to tend to every need of her husband Leroy. But when reading the story you hear Norma Jean tell Leroy In some ways, a woman prefers a man who wanders (Manson). Thus letting the readers know that she is a strong and independent and is capable of doing things on her own. In the Tyson handouts it says that woman who successfully juggles a career and a family, which means she looks great at the office and over the breakfast table, and she s never too tired after work to fix dinner,

The millennial generation was born in the time period of 1984 2000. Now in today s workforce and society the millennial are being looked down upon for being unmotivated, lazy, and all about themselves. The challenges of how the young adults in today s society differ from my own generation what very nicely putten into a sentence done by Hayden Shaw on a TED Talk. We didn t have the freedom, choice, or charge to do what the millennial have today (Shaw, 2016). Which is something that was bitterly true. The baby boomer generation began in 1946, after War World 2, and ended in 1964. Living at home with your parents is a huge known stereotype for the millennial, also with quitting jobs easily and not staying motivated, but this isn t known as an issue for the other generations. Which is the reason why freedom of choice is the biggest difference between millennial and the other generations. Going into adulthood as a baby boomer was not easy, as it is today, but we didn t have many different paths to take. After getting out of highschool the choices were to go to college or to get a job, even at times trade schools. If you decided to do neither it would result in being homeless because most parents wouldn t let their children live at home anymore. The early born of the baby boomer generation would already have children, and
  • 9. Title Ix And Its Impact On Society A huge thing that has impacted society and especially sport today was the passing of Title IX. It changed the way we look at sport and how we address it. Title IX is a law that passed in 1972 that requires gender equity for men and women in all educational programs that receive federal funding (titleix.info). The government showed that they will not play favorites and that we are all equal before the law (Summers). The passing of this law was a turning point for women. It impacted women in many areas of life but when most people think of Title IX, sportfirst comes to mind. Women had played sports before this time, but did not receive all the same opportunities as men. Women athletic programs were not provided with the same funds that men sports and femalecollege athletes received only two percent of overall athletic budgets. There was much less womanparticipating in sports than men so before Title IX only 1 in 27 girls played high school sports. After Title IX, things drastically changed for women in sports though (titleix.info). Today there is a question about whether or not Title IX accomplished what it set out to actually accomplish. There are mixed views on if it was successful. There is no doubt that it has made a huge impact on women sports but has its faults made the law fail at its attempted mission. Carrie Lukas says, Men s sports teams have been sacrificed in order to achieve proportionality as demanded by those enforcing Title IX (Lukas). Title IX

Jekyll was tainted by his other, and Marlow was almost plunged into darkness by his. Because of their struggle against their other selves, it can be stated that neither Jekyll or Marlow were born inherently good, and struggled to conform with this ideal. In Heart of Darkness, Marlow defeats his darkness with the death of his dark influence, while in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Jekyll fails to defeat his darkness and finally succumbs. During the nineteenth century, in well known populated cities, prostitution was apparent. According to William Logan, a mission worker visiting Ireland claimed that the city of Cork had approximately eighty five brothels, which contained about 356 prostitutes collectively in the year of 1945. Logan also mentioned how young girls were sold by family members for money. In 1870 the Garda (Ireland s police officials) instigated 11,864 women because they were assumed to be prostitutes. During the 1800 s Magdalene asylums were also very common. In Dublin specifically there were at least eleven workhouses, similar to the Magdalene asylums, attempting to transform prostitutes into proper ladies (Luddy, 1997). The Dublin Metropolitan Police (DMP) was not proactive during this time either. The DMP were only involved in prostitution cases if it disrupted the public. The lack of government control over this issue is one of the main influences that made human trafficking easily available in Ireland. However, it is difficult to obtain research of trafficking. Before 2008, there have been no prosecuted cases on this issue in Ireland (Coghlan and Wylie, 2011). In a recent trip to Dublin I was

Due to this, many children avoid social gathering and suffer from depression or substance abuse. This is one of the many reasons why children with tics should be informed of their disorder and should receive tremendous amounts of support and love from their friends and families. People with TS are also likely to have other mental problems like depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and self injurious behaviors. As mentioned above, TS can occur in anyone, even famous people. Some of the famous people that had TS were Jim Eisenreich, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Marc Summers. TS does not disable a person from working efficiently or living a perfectly normal life. The fountain is placed at the center of the piazza; the fountain represents the God of Sea with anthropomorphic body and huge fish tail, kneeling on an open shell supported by the tails of four dolphins. The dolphins, leaning towards each of the four cardinal directions, open their mouths to swallow the water of the surrounding pool, telling us that they drink up all the waters of the world. The fins of the dolphins clutch the crown of Urban VIII, with papal tiara, keys of St. Peter, and Barberini bees. The Triton as the subject of this fountain is a very interesting choice. According to many historical sources, PopeUrban VIII was a very talented poet, and he was very well known for his pursuits in this field. Triton was someone who achieved a sacred unity with nature and literature. And as we can see from the monument, the Triton was an appropriate public monument to Pope Urban s distinguished literary accomplishments. On the other hand, this explanation of the connection between Triton and Pope Urban is not effective, and unquestionably does not give us full information. American art historian John Beldon Scott has established that Urban was suspicious of pagan imagery for fear it might lead the faithful astray. This suggests that the Triton Fountain may imply to something more significant than just the simple literary symbol. Also, it is important to mention that at least three

In the world we live in today some people rely on the internet in order to find love. But online dating isn t all that it s cracked up to be. In fact, you should stay away from it. Dating online is not safe. Sure there are some dating sites that are legitimate and a little less dangerous, but some people rely on facebook, myspace, and instant messaging for dating which is just plain wrong. People may give you a photograph that is ten years old when they take the best photograph that they ever have, or a touched up photograph which is not really them. Not all sites require a photo, and even those that do cannot guarantee that the photo is a real one. Clear signs that the photo may be a fake are strange backgrounds that might indicate a stock image, photos that appear professionally taken (unless the person is a model or actor) and photos that seem old rather than current. Profiles can be false or partially false as some people attempt to make themselves sound as appealing to others and take it too extremes. Last but not least, the other disadvantage of internet dating is expensive fees. Expensive fees. While online dating may at first seem cheaper than real world dating (no need to pay for drinks or cab rides), the truth is that most matchmaking sites charge a fee. Some Internet dating sites charge far too much money and some will not allow us to view the profiles of other people until we become a member and pay the fees. This fee may not be all inclusive, and extras sometimes add up. Some websites

The privilege and disadvantage dialectic is established throughout the film, providing the main character with hope that he can protect the refugees, but also hopelessness when he is abandoned by allied forces. The second thing that stood out to me was the dialectic of history past, present, and future. These ideal shapes the plot of the movie, creating tensions and civil war between the two battling cultures. The past between the two cultures creates uneasiness, leading to an unbalance of power and eventually civil war where an estimated 800,000 people were killed. Hotel Rwanda describes the history between the two cultures, and how it came to be that the Tutsi had control of the state rather than the Hutu. The struggles for the Tutsi during the genocide were enormous, and due to the little aid from other allied states, the cultures were clashing on their own without help from other states. I believe that this had an effect on the Colonel, although he did not feel this way. At the moment, he was representing his country, and he was ashamed of these beliefs. The best strategy for this barrier, I believe, is becoming other oriented. If there was any consideration for the people of Rwanda, or if people took the time to emphasize with what was going on, the

After the declaration San Martin held a ball, and the city was filled with celebration. Timothy E. He claims that the declaration was faked, and the only reason Peruvians signed it was because they were afraid of San Martin s foreign army. Carleton Beals, a prominent journalist on Latin American issues in the mid 1990s, introduces yet another argument on independence. He claims that independence ideals were a grassroots idea spread throughout the military. The signing of the declaration of independence was a key moment in the independence process, and can show evidence of the real mindset of the Peruvian people. Because Jose de San Martin s army shut down trade, intimidated the people of Lima, and destroyed various cities off of the coast, the people of Peru didn t actually want the independence they were forced

In Vitro Fertilization Essay Synopsis: It is estimated that 11.5‐15.7% of couples in Canada experience infertility.1 In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an assisted reproductive technology that increases the chance of pregnancy for those who cannot conceive naturally. The Ontario Joint Review Panel (JRP) had recommended de insuring IVF procedures for all infertility diagnoses except for bilateral fallopian tube blockage, and Ontario had implemented this recommendation in 1994, whereas prior to that date, Ontario had paid for all IVFs. However, the technology has since improved, leading to calls to revisit this decision in order to reconsider public funding of IVF. Policy Options: (I) Universal coverage for up to three IVF cycles. This option would cover up to three IVF cycles and the associated medical services to all women. This option considers the argument that infertility is a medical condition, and therefore treatment should be insured like other diseases.
