The Overlook Hotel is shown through extreme long shots throughout the movie. This is done to
establish the setting surrounding the hotel and make the viewer feel a sense of isolation. This

Festive decorations are a huge part of the Holiday season, but they also take a huge toll on
Christmas budgets. In the United States, the average cost Americans will spend is over $465
billion on Christmas gifts, $3.2 billion on wrapping paper, and $6 billion on holiday decorations
such as, lights, trees, lawn decorations, etc. Everyone likes putting up lights at Christmason their
trees, around the house, on the roof, and any other, countless, creative things, and individual might
come up with. Our question, however, is whether a single strain of multi colored Christmas lights,
or a single strain of white Christmas lights can save you money on usage. Christmas lights are an
expense in their own, so is there a notable different the cost of multi colored, and white lights, for
you to consider?
In West Virginia alone, the average cost of electricity is 9.2 cents, per kilowatt hour. In the month of
October, the house used in this experiment ran on average energy consumption throughout the
whole month. The price of the used electricity was $206.71. To determine how much different
Christmas lights added on, we used white and multi colored lights, and measured with the EZ Kill
O Watt to calculate the cost of each set of lights, per month, and added it to the bill.

drawn various people to it, including artists who depict its beauty in multiple forms. Throughout
this report, I will be discussing and critiquing Rose Eagers Grand Canyon, a landscape made from
mixed media. While reviewing this piece of art at the Carnegie Art Center located in Turlock, CA; I
learned a lot about the content.

Eager has multiple aspects of her image that strongly support a formalist viewpoint. Her artwork
has definite structural aspects that have a greater meaning then you originally think. To break
down the image in even more depth, when you first glance at the image, the first area that your
eye is drawn to is the tree, more specifically the tree branches. These branches are extremely
textured, giving them almost a true bark like appearance. The leaves on the upper left corner of
the piece look like they are almost protruding off of the rest of the image.
The form of this image also adds to its components of formal analysis. Form is based on color,
composition, texture and line. This image by Eager has all of these major elements. The
composition is constructed with purpose, to show the flow and depth growing throughout the
image. There are multiple lines in this art piece, the first can be seen through the top of the work,
it goes through the tops of the trees and atop the mountain peaks. Then, there are implied lines,
one can be seen between the mountain peaks coming towards the tree, or vice versa. The color
scheme again follows her depiction of living with Macular Degeneration, she lost the ability to
see colors, and in her image, she only used shades of greys and black. In order to combat the depth,

Erica was night supervisor in ABC company. Her job is to assign the staff and make sure that all
blood units are process for the respective components without loss of any product. One night she
started her shift with so much of pending work. She deligated the night staff their task so as to

In 1942, Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066. This authorized the removal of Japanese people,
both aliens and American citizens, from certain zones, mostly in remote parts of the American west,
and placed them into detention centers and internment camps. He also issued Executive Order
9102, which created the War Relocation Authority to oversee this relocation. The internment camps
were like prisons, with harsh, uncomfortable conditions; occasionally, actual former prisons were
used. The camps were often located in the mountains. The most famous internment camps were
Manzanar, in California, and Heart Mountain, in Wyoming. While the Japanese were gone, whites
who used to be their neighbors often took their property. In 1944, Japanese American Fred
Korematsu brought a lawsuit against the United States government to the Supreme Court, arguing
against the constitutionality of Executive Order 9066. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the
government, putting military considerations above the individual rights of Korematsu as a citizen

faith, the meaning of life, and what are their general attitudes concerning religion.

I conducted the field observation in a restaurant named Sakura Izakaya on 30 July, 2015. It is a
Japanese ethnic restaurant. Sakura Izakaya is located near an office building. A shopping center
is also within a walk distance of the restaurant. Seen from the outside, the restaurant is modern
with large windows and glass doors. When I walk in, I find the restaurant is comfortable and
