Visual impairment refers to a loss of vision or the decreased ability to see at a ‘normal’ level1. It can be caused by a loss of visual acuity, where the eye does not see objects as clearly as usual, or by a loss of visual field, where the eye cannot see as wide an area as usual without moving the eyes or turning the head

• To present a comprehensive overview of the various types of
vision loss,
• Examine the techniques and strategies utilized for orientation and
mobility by individuals with visual impairments.
• Discuss the accommodations and adaptations necessary to support
low vision students in their reading and learning processes.

7. Astigmatism
is a common eye problem that can make your vision
blurry or distorted. It happens when your cornea or
lens has a different shape than normal.
It’s sometimes called “warped glasses.”
