years of age and upload a valid
driver’s license before renting.

an in-app safety video.

an in-app safety test during

puzzle/sobriety test before using
the Zapp app from 11 PM to 5 AM.
If a user fails the test their
account is temporarily locked for

 On August 8th, 2016 Zapp was founded at the University of South
Carolina in downtown Columbia, launching 160 Zapp cycles with the
support of university President Harris Pastides and Mayor Benjamin.
 Zapp funds, sponsors, and works hands-on with several ongoing
projects with USC’s School of Engineering, professors, and students
including:
Solar Charging Battery Station (Electrical Engineering)
Zapp vehicle design (Mechanical Engineering)
 Zapp creates and funds workshops to teach Columbia, SC middle
school students about technology, electric vehicles, and “green”
energy while inspiring the next generation of engineers.
