2. Cessna Headquarter Case Study
Cessna Headquarters Summary: Clyde Cessna built his first plane in 1911, and
Cessna became a storied name in aviation. Sales topped one billion in the 1980 s
and then one of the worst down turns in the history of aviation business nearly went
out of business in a decade in a half. Cessna sales of piston engine planes like the
Skyhawk, sales dropped from 8,000 a year to just 600 per year. Cessna was forced
to lay off 75 percent of the employees, and eventually stopped making piston engine
planes altogether. After the economy improved the US government approved the
General Aviation Revitalization Act, that barring product liability lawsuits on any
plane over 18 years old. Cessna decided to start building the Skyhawk again. He then

4. Finally, while you re considering using teams on the assembly line, are there other
places in which you might use teams? Not all teams are alike. Maybe there are other
places in which teams could contribute to the success of Cessna s new single engine
plane manufacturing facility?
Yes, we will need team in the offices, maintenance and repair units, and hiring
teams to re employee our plant. Our plant has to start from the ground up and in
doing so we are going to strive for the best teams we can find. We will need team to
practically rebuild what Cessna use to be, but only better.
Cessna will need to adopt the stages of team management by forming (developing
teams), storming (conflicts and disagreements because of teams that clash), and
norming (when team decide their roles), and performing (when team matures and
finally become fully functional) to choose proper teams to full their inventory
expansion. Project teams are created to complete specific, one time projects or tasks
within a limited time. Project teams are often used to develop new products,

Novel Applications for Si facilitated Dental Implant Osseointegration and Periodontal
Guided Bone Regeneration: A Review of the Current Literature
Silicon has been used as a crucial component of restorative driven biomaterials in
dentistry. However, the use of silicon for periodontally driven therapies and dental
implant treatment outcomes has not been explored as extensively as there are certain
unique properties of this metalloid that are functionally plausible as an evident
potential useful agent for periodontal and dental implant therapies. The exact
biological role of silicon on bone health and connective tissue is not fully understood,
however, it has been postulated in the literature that silicon plays a significant role in

In addition, the zirconia vs. titanium debate of implant material for maxillofacial and
dental use may soon be reformed as the silicon nitride implant receives more attention
from the dental community. This is due primarily to the substantial anti bacterial
properties of silicon nitride (SI3N4) implants when compared with titanium, zirconia,
and polyetheretherketone (PEEK) implants. Anti infective properties of silicon
nitride implants have shown superior resistance to bacterial infection and biofilm
accumulation on implant surfaces. (4) One in vitro study cited live bacteria counts

adjacent to silicon nitride implants. (7) As a byproduct of these anti bacterial

The proposals that we are going to depose are a planning of continuous action in order
to confront the challenges, which BT confronts. The most important factor is
considered to be the fact that the marketing environment changed rapidly after the
deregulation of the telephone industry. Up to then BT was operating as a monopoly,
ignoring the competition and ways to face it.
Our intention is to achieve the already given targets and also prepare BT for an
opening to new horizons. In addition, in order to face the fast changing environment
we have to introduce within the companies activities like cross selling and e marketing

Grout is more than just the cement that fills and holds your tile together; it is an
important element of the tilework s design. Often disregarded, grout selection is as
significant as the tile you select, and it is the finishing touch that will bring together
your unique design.
Grout varieties have expanded over the last decade and nowadays, you can find
grout in virtually every shade and every color to blend or add a little contrast to your

Sanded grout is less expensive and should be used if the spaces between the tiles
are greater than 1/8 inch. Non sanded or unsanded grouts, tend to cost more and are
made specifically for grout lines smaller than 1/8 inch. Unsanded grout will shrink
as it cures and the more grout you have, the more it will shrink. If you try to fill
grout lines that are too wide, the grout will shrink enough to pull away from the
sides of the tile. Make sure to talk with your installer about choosing the right grout
for your specific project.
Tips for Selecting Grout
Install a few pieces of tile on a piece of plywood and add a couple of different
colors of grout. Allow it to properly cure and then place it in the room you are
having the tile installed to see how the lighting affects your choice. When selecting
grout colors, keep the following tips in mind:
If you have selected a colored grout, make sure to give it time to cure before making
a final decision.
Lighter colored grouts should be sealed, especially in heavy traffic areas and in
showers.
Darker colored grouts are better at hiding discolorations and dirt, but can also fade if

10. The Similarities Between Creon And Antigone
This play is ultimately concerned with one person defying another person and
paying the price. Antigone went against the law of the land, set by the newly
crowned King Creon. Antigone was passionate about doing right by her brother and
burying him according to her religious beliefs even though Creon deemed him a
traitor and ordered him to be left for the animals to devour. Creon was passionate
about being king and making his mark from his new throne. Although they differed in
their views, the passion Creon and Antigone shared for those opinions was the same,
they were equally passionate about their opposing views. Creon would have found it
very difficult to see that he had anything in common with Antigone however as he

The need to show power before reason is prevalent in both these characters.
Even when faced with reasonable arguments against their courses of action they
still went ahead and acted in the same way. Creon took advice from the elders and
President Bush took advice from the people looking for WMDs. Colin Powell, in
May 2001 informed his President and the nation that even though we have no
doubt in our mind that the Iraqi regime is pursuing programs to develop weapons
of mass destruction, I think the best intelligence estimates suggest that they have
not been terribly successful. The war on terror is now justified by the White
House administration as having been in response to Saddam Hussein s human
rights record and not down to a reasonable threat of attack and the use of WMDs.
The difference between Creon and Bush is that Creon stood alone in his bad
decision making, George W Bush took the UK, Australia and Poland along with
him. This desire to show power was never more obvious than when, in January 2003
a meeting took place at the White House at which George W Bush and Tony Blair
allegedly discussed how they could look for alternative ways to provoke a war after
full disclosure about any weapons Iraq held was not forthcoming.
The other similarity between these two characters is the need to go one up on their
predecessor. Creon is the new king and desperate to make himself feared and
respected, George W Bush,

For this project, I believe that I am an anti stratfordian. There is no possible way
that Shakespeare could have written all of his works in such minimal time. Going
into this project, I expect to form a more educated and informed opinion on this
matter. I would like to acknowledge both sides of the argument and pick a side.
Before I started researching for this project, I had no idea where to start. Frankly, I
didn t even realize how controversial the Shakespeare s authorship question really
was. I wasn t sure which websites were true or which ones simply wanted you to
believe their side, no matter what false information they presented to you. However,

At first I didn t think it was possible for him to write all of those plays. After I did
my research, I learned that playwrights would put other playwrights names on their
plays so they would sell. This allowed me to see that it wasn t Shakespeare s fault
that he was claiming these many plays. They also would put his name on it to pay
tribute to him. I learned that Shakespeare did indeed, have a respectable education,
despite what anti stratfordians say. The education that Shakespeare received from
his grammar school was a big help, but it was his immense amount of reading that
mainly contributed to the writing of the plays. Shakespeare really understood
everything about how plays worked, whether it be picking the right actors or
making small cramped stages work. Even though he was a commoner who wrote
about nobles and royalty, he was exposed to them in such a way that he was able to
create entire plays based on the upper class lifestyle. But the opposing side thinks
Edward de Vere was the true Bard. But since he died in 1604, and Shakespeare s
big plays were produced after Vere s death, it leads me to believe de Vere is not the
true Bard. Lots of famous and respectable people would disagree with me and claim
that Shakespeare isn t the true Bard. However, the majority of potential evidence
points towards Shakespeare being the true Bard. There are too many speculations,
conspiracies, and opinions for it to be

13. How Teachers Reinforce The Kiddos For Good Behavior
In the classrooms I am observing I have noticed many ways in which teachers
reinforce the kiddos for good behavior. Each teacher has their own rewards system.
I have witnessed a rainbow chart, a marble system and a stick chart. I have also
noticed that many of the teachers do multiple activities with a lesson in hopes that
the information will reach the kiddos long term memory. The teachers use verbal
lessons, hands on activities and written reflections. Each class has their rules and
what is considered appropriate behavior. It has been interesting to see how each
teacher rewards their students and how they make it known what is and isn t okay for
the students to do.
Two of the teachers I work with a lot have a very good rewards system going as a
way of reinforcing good behavior. The first teacher uses a rainbow chart and when
the students get to the top they get to choose a prize from the bucket. The other
teacher uses a marble system. Each table and student has the chance to gain marbles
along with the class as a whole. If students are listening and behaving they may get
marbles to put in their tables container. If the whole class is doing an awesome job,
the marbles get put into the classes jar. When the students get enough marbles their
table gets a prize or reward of some sort, positive reinforcement. The kiddos get so
excited when they get a prize. Negative punishment is used when they are
misbehaving. The students can also get marbles taken out of their tables jar and

The human skeleton can offer more information than meets the eye. In fact, when
analysing an individual s skeletal features it is possible to constitute a biological
profile. In this essay, I aim to explore the multiple elements that a human skeleton
could shed light upon such as age, sex, stature, diet, health and trauma.
Due to the natural breakdown of the skeleton with age, the determination of age at
the time of death becomes less precise the older the individual gets. Therefore age is
most precisely estimated in subadults (Adams, 2009). One of the most reliable
indicators is the individual s dental development. Teeth develop from before birth to
about 18 years of age, when the formations come to a conclusion. The observation of
the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another technique to assess the age in subadults is to observe the epiphyseal fusion
of the bones, which takes place at a foreseeable rate (Adams, 2009). An example of
this technique is the Greulich and Pyle s atlas of the skeletal development of the
hand and wrist, which studies in particular the epiphyseal fusion of the metacarpals
and phalanges, as well as the development of the carpals (Anderson, 1971).
For adult individuals, it much harder to get an accurate age estimation due to the fact
that people age differently which also allows for more variation making the
estimation intervals much larger (Adams, 2009). In adults, age can be estimated
through the study of different parts of the thoracic cage and the pelvis. The first part
of interest is the medial clavicle. Age is determined through the study of the
epiphyseal fusion. The epiphysis in those bones is the last to fuse and usually
starts between the ages of 18 and 25. When the medial clavicle is fully fused the
individual is in general over 25 years old (McKern, 1957). The second part of the
thoracic cage that is used to ascertain age is the sternal end of the fourth rib. The
characteristics looked at are the formation of a pit, its depth and shape, configuration
of the walls and rim surrounding it, and the overall texture and quality of the bone
(Iscan, 1991, p617). With age, the pit found at the top of the rib deepens and widens,
thinning the
16. Physical Characteristics Of Cockroaches
Cockroaches are the oldest and most primitive winged insects. Most species are
found in tropic area, fewer species are found in temperate area. Majority of the
species are no economic importance, inhabiting the floor of tropical, caves, rain

2.1.2 Physical characteristics
Most cockroaches are light brown to black color to suit their cryptic, habitat and
nocturnal behavior. Cockroach body is typically oval and flattened dorsal ventrally.
This type of shape allows it to squeeze through as well as escape into narrow hole

divided into three parts which are the head, thorax and abdomen. Head of

17. Person Centred Counselling
Person Centred Counselling
Person centred counselling is a form of therapy which allows the client to be at the
core of their own therapy and make their own goals. For the person centred approach
to be effective a relationship built on trust must be formed between the counsellor
and the individual. This essay will explore the theoretical ideas and practice skills of
person centred counselling.
Key figure (Founder) and Major Focus
Carl Rogers (1902 1987), an American psychologist was the key figure in
developing person centred counselling. Rogers was born into a strict religious
family and he was the fourth born of six children. Although Rogers (1961) recalls his

Applying these three characteristics to counselling will enable the individual to move
away from conditions of worth that have been placed upon them and help them
become fully functioning people with optimal emotional health (Seligman, 2006).
Therapeutic goals
The main aim of person centred counselling is for the client to achieve greater
independence and integration (Corey, 2013:179). Therefore, the focal point should
always be on the client not on the person s existing problem, as this approach
allows the individual to manage their own lives and make every effort towards self
actualisation (Corey, 2013: 179). Rogers believed that taking away the facades that
people have put up around them due to socialisation will lead to actualisation. An
example of a facade that a person may have put up could be that the individual
believes that they are not worthy of love because of what they have been told all of
their lives, in turn they may actually act in ways that make it difficult for people to
love them, but as they actualise they will see positive characteristics in themselves
and show themselves in a more positive light. Four characteristics were observed by
Rogers (1961) that show clients becoming actualised, they are trusting in themselves,
an internal source of evaluation, openness to new experiences and willingness for
continued growth. Person centred counselling should maintain the goal of
empowering the client to change their own life and in doing so promote

Then after a little while Brigham Young came and seized power of the Mormon
Church and kicked Rigdon out of his seat as president. They then moved to Salt Lake
City, Utah to escape the Americans, because the Americans did not have control of
Utah back then. Then after they settled in Utah the Americans came and conquered
the Mexican army and the Americans gained ownership of the West Coast, including
Utah. So Utah became part of the U.S.A. and Brigham Young was really upset. He
didn t let the Americans come into his state.
When the U.S.A. finally had control of Utah they made Brigham Young the governor
of it because they didn t want any more problems. As the leader of the Mormons
Brigham Young added the doctrine of Polygamy, which is when you have more than
one wife at a time. He supported this new doctrine by saying that Joseph Smith, the
former leader, had a revelation of this doctrine but never put it in practice. After he
accomplished everything thing else he wanted more and soon he claimed himself as
a god. He believed that when he died he would have his own planet; he and his
household would inhabit this new planet and would become the gods or rulers of it.

During the Scientific Revolution scientists created many new discoveries. For
example, the better understanding of the human body and the way it works, and the
invention of many instruments used for medical purposes. Many discoveries and
inventions helped to start the advancement in the medical field. During the Scientific
Revolution there was a brilliant physiciannamed Andreas Vesalius, who was often
known as the founder of the humananatomy. Now around the time, the dissection of a
human body had only just became an acceptable practice. Vesalius took advantage of
the practice and before the 16th century and he would steal the corpses of criminals
that had been hung and he would dissect them to analyze the structure of the human

Harvey was the first scientists to accurately lay out and describe the functions of
the human circulatory system. In 1593, at the age of 21 Harvey attended the
University of Padua in Italy. His teacher Hieronymus Fabricius and him had
become good friends and he had taught Harvey to use the method of dissection to
better understand the human body. He had learned about the arteries and veins in
the circulatory system and the valves within the veins. Harveys discovery dates
back all the way to the thirteenth century when the respiratory system was
described by Ibn al Nafis. Harvey was well interested in the vascular system he
decided to write a book containing his work called Exercitatio Anatomica de Motu

In March of the Penguins, the author explains in a subjective point of view that it s
not the fault of another animal for needing to feed by eating the penguins. For the
Penguins, they survive many harsh winters and attacks from animals such as the Sea
Lion, because of this show of strength in one of the world s harshest of environments,
the Author admires these Penguins and how they live. Ways they show their loyalty
to their home and ways they survive this hellish place are simple, yet extremely
hazardous tasks. To get back to their mating area, the first group of penguins, the
males, must travel an extremely long distance to make it back to their home and meet
up with the female penguins that have been waiting for a very long time. Though the
females are starving, they continue on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the nighttime storms, they huddle closely together to keep warm and switch
from inside to outside so each penguin gets to feel warmth that is at the center. After
all of these storms, the females are on the return from the water. Some eggs may
have been lost in the storm so the mothers of those chicks will not have a child to
feed. For those who have survived, their child is awaiting food from the mother.
After feeding the child, they pass it back to the mother as the father is in need of
food. Before departing, the Father and Child sing to each other to remember who is
who after the father returns from feeding. As time passes, these chicks slowly grow
older and get much larger, eventually losing their baby feathers. During most of their
growing up stage, they are left alone as they are old enough to look out for
themselves and that of their fellow penguins. After they are old enough, they walk
out to the waters edge that is now much closer as it is now summer time again. They
jump in and resume the process that has been repeated throughout the generations and
will soon make the march

we will be gathering together like medicine just in case someone gets sick on the

clover, and beet root. The other thing that we talked about was who is going to be
our wagon train leader. After we thought about what type of things would make a
good leader like someone that is responsible for most of the decisions on the trail,
someone that can tell when to start moving and when to stop moving for the day, and
someone that can find somewhere nice to camp for the night. So after all of that we

The unique Egyptian cuisine has been influenced throughout history, particularly by
its neighbors from the Middle East. Those contries that have influenced include
Persians (modern day Iraqis), Greeks, Romans (modern day Italians), Arabs, and
Ottomans (from modern day Turkey) first influenced Egyptian cuisine thousands of
years ago. More recently, the foods of other Arabic people in the Middle Eastsuch as
the Lebanese, Palestinians, Syrians, as well as some foods from Europe, have
affected the Egyptian diet.
Rice and bread remain staple foods, and molokhiyya(a spinach like vegetable) and

The Arab Republic of Egypt is located in the northeastern region of the African
continent, bordering both the Mediterranean and Red Seas. The climate is
extremely dry and most of the country receives less than one inch of rainfall each
year. The widespread lack of rainfall makes it extremely difficult to grow crops.
Egypt has no forests and only 2 percent of the land is arable.
The Nile River, the longest river in the world, runs north and south through eastern
Egypt and empties into the Mediterranean Sea. Approximately 95 percent of the
country s population lives alongside the Nile River. This is why the Egyptian cuisine
is so high in fish.

official start of the U.S entering the war. The U.S was now faced with a war on
two fronts. Roosevelt was being pulled between attacking the Japanese in the West

them as soon as the U.S enters the war, Roosevelt decided to deal with matters in
the West first. He would execute Executive order 9066 (the relocation of Japanese

Auckland, a highly populated city in New Zealand experiences traffic problems
frequently. This problems needs to be resolved through development of a roadsystem
that would tackle challenges imposed by the population. Auckland Transport manages
road projects in the city. One of the projects in Auckland city that is underway by
Auckland Transport (AT) is the upgrade of Dominion Road project. AT inherited this
project from the Auckland city council, which had earlier undertaken public
consultation for a proposed upgrade to Dominion Road. Key concerns from the
earlier consultation undertaken by the Auckland City Council included loss of on
street parking, and concerns that use of bus lanes by other vehicles would create four

public, including the potentially affected residents, and other key stakeholders from
the government and the private sector. AT has opened a feedback process in which
views about the improvement of Dominion road are collected to be examined and
possibly to be approved and included in the final design.

beginnings of the United States political and individual freedoms from Great Britain,
both before, during, and after the American Revolution, yet it is based off an old tale
originating in Germany. To fully understand the context of Rip Van Winkle

36. The Characteristics Of Female Characters In The Scarlet...
Actress Rebecca Hall once complained, it s not often you get female characters
who don t fit into a box. Rebecca is implying that it is rare in literature to have a
female character be portrayed as a real person with complex human emotions. In
novels, authors tend to try and put all female characters into a box. The error in this
is that women are just as complicated as any person in real life. In the classic
literature the Scarlet Pimpernel, Marguerite Blakeney and Comtesse de Tournay are
two of the most intricate female characters in the book that are never put into that box.
Marguerite Blakeney shows her individuality through her arrogance. These actions
are demonstrated when she addresses those who are just trying to help her. When
Marguerite arrives at the inn, Jellyband tried opening the door for her in which her
response was, What are you standing in my way for, dancing about like a turkey
with a sore foot ? (Orczy,10) This illustrates how Marguerite misunderstood the
kind doing that Jellyband tried to accomplish , but her interpretation of
commoners got in the way. The reader can see that Marguerite is not able to put
aside her prejudice; similar, to how the Evil Queen from Snow White saw the poor
as below her. Other people believe that Marguerite is actually a kind woman. After
all, she did pay for a poor man s meal (Orczy,10). This may be true; however, when
the Comtesse de Tournay persisted that Suzanne not be able to talk to Marguerite,

Mary Wigman had influence over Germany for modern dance as she began working
with Rudolph Laban and she created a dance school in Dresden for students to learn
something new which was in fact a creative experience that is an expression of
emotional impulses. She wanted her dancers to be conscious of the impulses that lay
within themselves and how to express them. Her movements wanted to create a
cathartic function to dancein ancient societies and will be remembered for their
tragic, dark character and introspective dances that reveal vibrant, vital and
passionate inner states of being. It was in fact the rise of the Nazi political party in
Germany in the 1920s ended the German modern dancemovement. https:/

and spatial dimensions. Holm trained through improvisation so, a specific
movement vocabulary or phrasing that could be carried on through classes does not
exist; instead her focus was about learning through discovery. Her work was often an
extension to Wigman and Rudolf Laban as her movements focused on the body s
relation to space and emotion. In the late 1940s, she choreographed for musicals in
which she was one of the first people to bring modern dance to the Broadway stage.

A...
Australia and Japan expressed their interest in signing a defence technology
cooperation agreement after Japanese Prime Minister Abe and Australian Prime
Minister Tony Abbott s meeting during Abe s visit to Australia in July (Prime
Minister of Australia 2014). This is surprising for the international society as the
Japanese constitution did not allow Japan to export its militarytechnologies until the
Japanese government s recent change to Article 9 (Nye 2014). Even though the
agreement is not signed yet, this news had attracted many attention from around the
globe. There are various kinds of explanations and analyzations on why this two
states would choose to release such information at this time. The argument for this
essay would be that the defence technology cooperation agreement may be one of the
many policies that aims on making Japan a normal country, in response in the rising
power of China and the threats from Korea, so that it can play a better role in
balancing regional security. This essay will try to prove this argument by briefly
introducing why Japan is not a normal country within the international society and
Prime Minister Abe s recent efforts to change this situation, how a defence
technology cooperation agreement between Australia and Japan can play a critical
role on this matter, why Japan and Australia are considering choose to sign such
agreement with each other, and the incentives for Australia to support Japan s goal of
strengthening its military

the chocolate market. The company has no apprehensions of cannibalization of its

strategy of Cadbury s Dairy Milk. To do this, I will need to gather information
about the product; I will ask a questionnaire which is a primary research method.
Then I will also gain some secondary research, this will be achieved by searching
the internet for information and from a product information letter from Cadbury. I
will investigate all aspects of Dairy milk s marketing mix, these include: product,
price, promotion and place. After I have investigated these aspects I will analyse
and evaluate my results from the Primary research. History of Dairy Milk and

42. Burn Out and Fatigue in the Work Related Environment
Forming an understanding of fatigue and burnout on the job of delivering
commodities cross country is the focus herein. The discoveries from research
conducted on fatigue have provided insight into additional concerns regarding the
health of humanity. The process and development of how fatigue relates to the
personal self when working under conditions of exertion are very important.
When driving over the road (OTR) cross country under a tight delivery schedule
period I had stressful experiences. For example, there was the stress coming from a
lack of ample rest affecting how alert a mind could be. The amount of sleep was
about 1 2 hours at a time with a few of the loads, while frequently a 4 5 hour period
was what my body preferred to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This could have been a part of the fatigue experienced on the open road, and most
certainly would not benefit the mental and physical form it. The thought that
everything worked out just fine for that time, was probably the very thing that made
it pass the window of serious concern. Knowing how this has worked into my own
life has actually revealed how the fatigue could be burning professional drivers out.
The thought of professional drivers travelling in a state of fatigue definitely opens
the door to danger for both the public and themselves. There was a time when I
thought about how much it meant to arrive alive and that no load is worth risking
that. Anytime that I had felt too tired to continue, the next safe location to stop for
adequate rest took place after thinking about the risk to others and self. How
important would it be to get other professional drivers to feel the same would depend
upon just how stubborn they are. The experiences could be different with each type
of person, and those with the strength mentally combining the inner will would most
likely solve the problem in self.
Battling the Ego Affect s Discernment
There could be a battle with ego to produce difficulty surrounding the discernment of
the danger to others and self. The ability to maintain a clear thinking process that is
alert, safe, and non harmful to those in the surrounding environment remains
extremely important. The thought of establishing a sense of

HR Practices of United Services Automobile Association
Company Information amp; Business Strategy
The United Services Automobile Association (USAA) is a Fortune 100 company as
of the year 2009 that primarily sells life and property insurance to its 7.7 million
members, which consists of active and retired military personnel and their family
members (www.biz.yahoo.com). They also offer such services as banking and
investment management, focused on helping military persons to manage their money
wisely and offer them services at reasonable costs with low interest rates. As of 2009,

Ethical Philosophy
The USAA company website states that their core values are, service, loyalty, honesty,
and integrity; the same as the military community we serve, (usaa.com); this portrays
the corporate philosophy and ethical positioning quite clearly. They believe in
working hard and faithfully to deliver the best service possible while doing what is
best for the greater good of the society in which they operate. When compared with
the Kantian Rights discussed in chapter one of our textbook, Fundamentals of Human
Resource Management (Noe, page 15), USAA s company ethics parallel with them
quite well. The four traits of service, loyalty, honesty, and integrity would completely
support the Kantian Rights of free consent, privacy, freedom of conscience, speech,
and due process because these are the very things the military fights to defend, and
the military is the market which USAA seeks to serve.
Foreign Operations
The extent of USAA s foreign operations is not too great considering they serve the
people of the American military forces. However, they do handle customer accounts
while they are in foreign lands serving in the military; for instance, USAA offers
great financial management support for military personnel who are about to be
deployed so that they can use their combat and active duty pay wisely to support
themselves and their family.

woman dropped out prior to randomization. The 27 women were randomly assigned
to two groups. In the first session, 14 women received a 10 minute friction plantar
massage and 10 minutes of mobilization to feet and ankle joints, while 13 women
received a 20 minute placebo intervention (Vaillant et al., 2009). In the second
session, the treatments were reversed, with at least 1 week between sessions (Vaillant

massage and mobilization resulted in significant improvements in OLB and TUG

balance responses in elderly women could improve after a single session of foot and

46. Language And The Mise In Scene In Luigi Pindello And
Anton...
When considering anti theater the observation of not only the performance, but also
the mise in scene should be taken into account. Among other occupations, Antonin
Artaud was a theater director, and in his book The Theater and It s Double he
explains how the totality of the work is given power through language and the mise
in scene. This essay will consider how anti theater incorporates these aspects of a
play in the works of Luigi Pirandello and Anton Chekhov. According to Artaud,
Theater will not be given its specific powers of actin until it is given its language .
This type of language involves more than a character saying his lines in a play.
This language includes the intonations they use as well as their physiognomies.
Artaud goes on to say that, the question, then, for the theater, is to create
metaphysics of speech, gesture, and expression, in order to rescue it from its
servitude to psychology and human interest. (89, 90). Thus, this specific use of
language is inter connected in order to bring the dialogue of the characters to life,
and to arouse and keep the audience s attention. An example of this can be found in
Luigi Pirandello s play, Henry IV. The scene in act II of Henry IV has other
characters congregate at Henry IV s castle as the doctor tries to shock the fake king
out of his delusional madness of thinking he is really a king. Some of the characters
believe that Henry IV is somewhat sane, while others believe that he is completely
mad. It
47. Black Wall Street Essay
Black Wall Street was the name given to Greenwood Avenue of North Tulsa,
Oklahoma during the early 1900 s. Because of strict segregation, Blacks were only
allowed to shop, spend, and live in a 35 square block area called the Greenwood
district. The circulation of Black dollars only in the Black community produced a
tremendously prosperous Black business district that was admired and envied by the
whole country.
Oklahoma s first African American settlers were Indian slaves of the so called Five
Civilized Tribes : Chickasaws, Choctaws, Cherokees, Creeks, and Seminoles. These
tribes were forced to leave the Southeastern United States and resettle in Oklahoma in

Savannah state university visitation rules states that overnight visitors of the
opposite sex are prohibited. The visitation rules also state that visitation hours are
from 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the week and from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. during the
weekends. When I first got to savannah state during the week of welcome in the
sessions that were held for the freshmen we were told that we are adults now and it
was time for us to start acting as responsible adults. We were also told that our
parents wouldn t be here to baby us, to tell us what to do, or what time to get up for
classes. I understand that the universityhas to have rules and regulations. However,
what I don t agree with is how are we supposed to act like adults when we are still
being treated as children. I personally don t feel as though we should have rules and
limitations on who can come visit us, or what times they can come and go. We
should have an open campus as far as visitation goes, but to a certain extent. The

well, which is fine but if we didn t abide by those rules we would most likely be
kicked out and that s how our campus visitation rules should be regulated. Also if the
school can trust the upper classmen housing with no visitation limitations then they
should at least try to trust the freshmen housing with no limitations on

Rough Draft Buddha once said, In separateness lies the world s great misery; in
compassion lies the world s true strength. By this he meant that when we are
separated by the things we classify people by in society, we are not truly happy.
Only if we unite can we be all be satisfied with our successes. Buddha is the founder
of the religion Buddhism, one that focuses on suffering in life. He tries to better the
world and its people, much like Jones, Chavez, and Tubman. They were all great
defenders of human rights, but the most impactful of all was Harriet Tubman. Tubman
was born into slavery. As a child, she was neglected and treated horribly. Even when
she was supposed to be freed, her owner broke some laws and refused. Growing up,

They all accomplished a lot in their respective fields, but Harriet Tubman had the
most effect. She used the Underground Railroad to help hundreds of slaves go free;
served in the Civil War as a cook, nurse, spy, and a military leader; and she devoted
her life and what little money she had to others. Throughout the entire course of her
life, she had risked her life countless times and sacrificed so much for the sake of
others. There are several others like Harriet Tubman in our world, but not enough. It
is important for us to defend our human rights because they can make our society
50. The Wife s Lament And The Seafarer Analysis
The
Similarities of The Wife s Lament and The Seafarer Life away from home can be
hard, but imagine what it would be like if it was to a harsh sea or under a giant tree.
In the two poems we will be dissecting, you will see how these two different
situations have a lot in common. In one of the oldest poems known in the world, The
Seafarer was written long by an unknown author.
Throughout the poem we see how the man takes his exile emotionally and physically,
all the while he sails the sea and world. He goes to other countries and shows how on
his missions he sees amazing things, but he expresses how sad he is. In the second
poem, The Wife s Lament, a woman is exiled to a cave by her husband, and she goes
through all her thoughts and emotions, and she decides to get out her anger and
heartbreak for her husband, she curses him while is out at sea. While we go through
both of these poems, we will find differences between exiles. In The Seafarer, it isn t
known whether the man was exiled, or if he willingly left his home.
Throughout the poem you can see the way that the man holds himself together,
and how he feels about the people on the land. This the man does not know for
whom on land it turns out most favourably, how i, wretched and sorrowful, on the
ice cold sea... In this line, we can see that the man is very angry about having to be
out at sea. While he is out at sea, he talks about his family back at home that later
help us connect The SeaFarer to The Wife s Lament. You can see how the mans
actions and words were very Pagen at the beginning of the poem, but slowly
transform into Christian values and words change by the end of the poem. This
leads many people to believe that the original poem have been translated by high
church member, because they were the only ones back then that were educated
enough to read and write. If it were translated by a high ranking church member, it
is possible that some of it might have been changed. As you move onto the second
poem, The Wife s Lament, we look at an exile, through a different person s eyes.
When the Wife is still on land, she is still exiled far away to a cave area under a
great tree. Although she was not on the seas, she still found
51. A Comparison Of Mark Twain And Mark Twain
Nelson Mandela once said, Education is the most powerful weapon which you can
use to change the world. As the world grew, Mark Twain and Langston Hughes
became writers, poets, and so on. With the knowledge that Hughes and Twain had,
they made impacts on the world. However, the ability that these two men had allowed
them to be motivational historical figures. Still today, their works and ideas for
writing are still helpful to other writers. As writers, these two had fluent and
intellectual minds, they did not give up. So therefore, with Twain and Hughes being
such prominent figures with immaculate writing capabilities, their masterpieces can
be compared.
Twain said, ...it is good to begin life poor; it is good to begin life rich these are
wholesome; but to begin it prospectively rich! The man who has not experienced it
[poverty] cannot imagine the curse of it ( Mark Twain Fun Facts 2). As life started
for Twain, he went through many obstacles. In addition, Mark Twain started
writing short stories that evolved over time. Not all people in the world have the
most wealthiest lifestyle, Twain, on the other hand, was born 2 months premature
and also had to deal with poor health for ten years of his life. Mark Twain had no
one to turn to for inspiration or motivation. Twain left school to become a printer s
apprentice( Mark Twain Biography 2). Not to mention, Mark Twain wrote in a
manner that society could relate. For most of his life up until he was an adult
52. The Epilogue Analysis
The most pressing issue involving communication, gender, and culture would be
acceptance. Individuals need to take into consideration that even though they want
many aspects to remain the same, things are bound to change.
After reading the Epilogue and the textbook, I realize that we need to be willing to
accept what families decide is the best choice for the work load among both parents.
Growing up with both my parents working outside the house helped me appreciate
both members and what they were able to contribute to the family. This also helps me
realize that even though one family member may decide to stay home, that does not
make them any less important to the family overall. A statement that Julia Wood
made in the Epilogue stood out to me. She says that As women and men, you can
affect what society expects of and admires in each sex (Wood, 321). This showed me
that we have the ability to impact the gender roles society holds. It is important to not
judge a father ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many things in society that people find offensive. As the next decade
comes into view, there needs to be emphasis placed on grasping the differences in
each individual person which would help us realize that not everyone reacts to
things the same. Wood continues to talk in the Epilogue about our generation
taking the time to recognize that not everyone is the same in the world. She says
Maybe your generation will replace the melting pot metaphor with one that
recognizes commonality without obliterating real and valuable differences among
people (Wood, 322). I think that she makes a great point here. We have been raised
to understand that there is a melting pot in our society. This idea may need to
change in order to better suite what each person needs. It is important to recognize
that we are not robots in society today. Each and every one of us wants to feel
accepted for who we are as unique
53. Prejudice And Inequality In America
An American is a man, a woman, a child who came to the U.S. and started to grow
and flourish to become the men and women that feel pride for their country and
the freedoms they have through salutes to the country and leaving behind their
past heritage to become a citizen of the U.S. We as Americans have very well tried
to become who we are today by not being prejudice and not being without
freedoms. We strive to be the best we can by saying our pledge of allegiances and
our doing as much as we can for our country. Just as my grandfather does every
morning by saluting of the flag always hanging in his yard up high. The American
people are people of belief be it religion or in their country but we all have it. Even

Americans being, derived from immigrants coming to America on ships, we have
a history of being from around the world and having many cultures in our mists.
An example of that mixed blood comes from J. Hector St. John de CrГЁvecoeur s
writing called What Is an American? has said He is either an European, or the
descendant of an European; hence that strange mixture of blood, which you will
find in no other country (John De CrГЁvecoeur chunk 2). He states that we are
either from europe or we are born from someone who came from europe and that
we are a mixed blood of people that you will never see before unless you are in
America. As well as the passage before De CrГЁvecoeur states . I could point out
to you a man, whose grandfather was an Englishman, whose wife was Dutch,
whose son married a French woman, and whose present four sons have now four
wives of different nations ( John de CrГЁvecoeur chunk 2). This elaborates on the
subject of Americans being of a mixed blood by giving us an example of how
mixed we really are and how many cultures and relations between each of them have
come together. Americans are not just a nationality we are a symbol of people
coming together under one nation of laws and being one in the same and never
forgetting what we had in the past. Americans have come together to
54. What Is The Purpose Of Cadavers
In my paper you will be pleased to find that I talked about three different topics that
are important to me discussing Stiff by Mary Roach. The first topic talks about
how cadavers are used in so many different areas and kinds of research. Cadavers
are used in many different areas of research, but all areas give information that will
better the future. Without the knowledge the use of cadavers give us, we would be
so uneducated in not only the medical field, but many other fields of study as well.
The next topic is about the importance, and the purpose of a burial or embalminga
corpse if nothing with stop the decay of organic tissue. I feel like this topic is more
of an opinion question, because whereas embalming is not required for burial,... Show

for what I have been able to learn from this
