The US has recently adopted a healthcare policy aimed to get more Americans
insured. This policy is named the Affordable Care Act in 2010. In 2013 there were
42 million uninsured individuals in the United States. (The Common, pg. 153)
There has since been increase in individuals who are covered either by private
insurance or by Medicaid/Medicare which had a coverage increase with the new
policy. It is believed that millions of people will now have health insurance compared
to previous years.
Retired individuals in the U.S. are eligible to receive benefits through Medicaid at
the age of 65. Some individuals choose to have supplemental insurance along with
Medicaid, which helps increase their benefits. If one retires before this age the can
apply for the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Low income families who are unemployed can apply for healthcare coverage through

After hearing the news, I felt as if my worries were crawling right back up to my
shoulders. As if I was at the top of the mountain and then had someone push back
down. Finding out that the Senate has plans to take down the DACA was as if they
were closing the doors to my success. As the Congress debates over immigration
reform, August the 15th marks the second anniversary of the Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. On the 15th of August 2012, President Obama
began a policy calling for deferred action towards certain young individuals who
came to the United Statesas children and are known as Dreamers(LOGOS). This
policy allows this group of people to have similar rights that are initially reserved for
the citizens of the United States, like applying for employment or having a social
security. The Daca program also secures the young dreamers from deportation.
The Senate wants to eliminate the DACA program, but I believe that it s crucial to
keep it because there are many young students that need it to continue to succeed.

DACA student as well. It is an undeniable fact that most of the immigrants in the

American Bubble by Adel Iskandar, Objectivity has come to imply both a media
practice of information collection, processing, and dissemination, and an overarching
attitude (163). As the article also discusses, Fox Newsis an openly right winged news
source for the public, specifically, their show, The O Reilly Factor, displays
conservative views on current news. Fox does not display complete objectivity in
their newsfeeds, yet they are open about it, which could be described as social

taxation in general and presumptive tax system in Zimbabwe. The literature also tries
to bring to surface issues concerning the role of taxation, the informal business sector
and taxation in the informal business sector. This chapter will close with review of
presumptive tax in Zimbabwe.
2.1 TAXATION IN GENERAL
In general, taxation is a process government use to raise revenue to finance its
activities and operations.
2.1.1 Role of tax in development of countries.
Taxes are used for many purposes by different countries. They are used to raise
revenues to fund government services, to correct market imperfections and to
encourage or discourage certain types of behaviour (Bird Zolt, 2005). This implies
that taxation can be used to achieve government and national goals such as economic
growth, economic stability and equality.
As for economic growth, though growth could be achieved through use of taxation
excessive taxation may tend to hinder the achievement of taxation goal of economic
growth (Baafi, 2010). For instance, rapid increase of tariffs on basic commodities
and food imports and other related products affects the consumers. Water and

Could Napoleon Dynamite Have Asperger s
It was hard for me to watch this movie and separate Napoleon s behaviors from his
friends and family members. Many of the things he does and says are like those of
the people around him. His overall weirdness was not behavior that I immediately
would have identified as Asperger s, rather someone who is simply a little odd.
However, as I continued to watch the movie I was able to find certain examples
that could be red flags for Asperger s. From the very beginning of the movie, it
seemed like Napoleon never opened his eyes. They are open just enough to be
squinting, and they are rarely directed to be looking at a person. Asperger s
typically come with poor eye contact in social situations, and Napoleon definitely
has this characteristic. Even when he is talking directly to someone, he doesn t
have the comfort level to look them in the eye. The second thing is that he is very
uncoordinated. He is able to play tetherball, but just barely because he hits it with
different amounts of power and so is constantly jumping out of the way. When he
goes out to feed Tina the llama, he is awkward about getting the food through the

For this United Nations report Nepal was selected. It was selected because it is a
beautiful country and for some of its famous points of interest. Nepal s relative
location is between India and China. It is in both the northern and eastern
hemispheres. And the absolute location is 28 00 degrees north and 84 00 degrees
east. Nepal is only boarded by India and China and is completed landlocked; no
coastline.
Because it is located between India and China, the majority of the population is
Indian and Chinese. Nepal has a population of around thirty one million, which is
small compared to the countries boarding it.
The topography on half of the county is hills and plains and the other half is
mountainous.
In the south Nepal has flat plains and hills. In the northern region, it is mountainous;
covered by the Himalaya s mountain range.
Nepal is a very popular tourist area. Some points of interest include; Mount Everest,
Gokyo Lake, Temple, and the Thamel. Mount Everest is the highest point on earth
above sea level. Gokyo Lake is at the base of Mount Everest. The Thamel is located
in the capital and has been the center of the tourist industry. It is narrow alleys with
crowded shops and vendors that sell their goods, such as: food, fresh vegetables
/fruits, walking gear, pastries, trekking gear, music, DVDs, handicrafts, souvenirs
