Law Essay Writing Service
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Law Essay Writing Service" can prove to be quite
challenging for various reasons. Firstly, delving into the intricacies of legal discourse requires a
comprehensive understanding of the subject matter, including current laws, precedents, and legal
theories. This necessitates extensive research to ensure that the content is accurate, up-to-date,
and well-grounded in legal principles.
Moreover, the complexity of legal language poses an additional hurdle. Precise terminology and
an adept use of legal jargon are essential to convey ideas accurately and professionally. This
demands a careful balance to ensure that the essay is accessible to a broad audience while
maintaining the necessary level of sophistication expected in legal writing.
Another challenge is the need for critical analysis and argumentation. A successful law essay not
only presents information but also engages in thoughtful analysis, providing a coherent and
persuasive argument. This requires the writer to critically evaluate legal concepts, precedents, and
theories, which can be intellectually demanding.
Additionally, adhering to the specific structure and formatting conventions of legal essays is
crucial. The essay must follow a logical progression, with a clear introduction, well-defined
arguments, and a concise conclusion. Proper citation and referencing in accordance with legal
citation styles further add to the complexity of the task.
Lastly, time management is a key factor. Legal research is often time-consuming, and the process
of drafting, revising, and editing requires careful attention to detail. Meeting deadlines while
maintaining the quality of the essay can be a significant challenge.
In conclusion, tackling a law essay on the topic of "Law Essay Writing Service" demands a
combination of legal expertise, analytical skills, linguistic precision, and effective time
management. It's a task that necessitates a thorough understanding of legal principles, attention
to detail, and the ability to construct a compelling argument. For those seeking assistance, it's

The Unpredictable Past Summary
The Unpredictable Past This book contains fourteen different essays that Levine uses
to convey his personal outlook on American cultural history and to establish his view
that historians should broaden their scope of research to include important elements
of history that have relatively been completely ignored. His essays are extremely
well written and express a deep understanding of the subject that they pertain to.
Levine covers topics that most historians have shied away from or determined were
not of importance to historyas a whole due to a variety of reasons including political
factors, race and ethnicity, or were lacking the ability to fully understand the
significance of certain aspects of cultural history during the respective timeperiod
associated with each essay. The Unpredictable Pastgives new insight into America s
past and opens up a new train of thought that shows how dynamic cultural history
really is when looked at through a different lens.... Show more content on

The issues that people had with old historiographies were that they weren t complex
enough and lacked comprehension of cultural aspects. They rarely strayed from the
political or economic topics and never discussed important cultural avenues. Levine
talks of synthesis in historical writing but deems this as a way to dismiss the
introduction of new subject matter into history. He, on the contrary, wishes for the
expansion of subjects in history and feels there has been too much neglect on
cultural aspects and the importance that it offers to understanding the past as it really
was. Levine believes historians need to increase their tolerance and acceptance of the
complexities of the past as well as the historian profession in order to effectively and
accurately write about the
How Is Wordsworth Influenced By William Wordsworth
Wordsworth is an high English poet and an establishing member of the Romantic
Movement in the English literature. He lived and wrote at the period between 1770
1850 which is the golden era of romanticism . Like other Romantics, Wordsworth
poetry and personality also were greatly influenced by his love for the nature,
especially by the spectacles and views of the Lake Country area, where he spent
most of his life in nature. Wordsworth is sincere thinker; he showed high tenderness
and a love of nature and simplicity. Two persons affected him personally and literary,
his sister Dorothy and the great romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. William

It says that even when you are by yourself and lonely and missing your friends, you
can use your imagination to fine new friends in the world around you. As John
Milton famously wrote, The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven
of Hell, and a hell of Heaven. The speaker of this poem makes a heaven out of a
windy day and a bunch of daffodils. His happiness does not last forever he s not that
unrealistic but the daffodils give him a little boost of joy whenever he needs it, like
recharging his batteries. In conclusion, William Wordsworth is one of the best
romantic poets; actually he established the romanticism in the English literature.
Now, we can say that the poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud is the pest
representation of romantic poetry. It contains most of the characteristics of good
romantic poetry. Such characteristics as subjectivity, the love of nature, love of
beauty, and joyful memories of the past. In addition, Wordsworth was influenced by
his Sister Dorothy who inspired him to write many of his poems. We can always

Whey Protein Research Paper
In the world of protein you will find that there are 4 primary types available with
each having its own unique set of benefits and problems. Below, I am going to
discuss the different types and how they should and shouldn t be used.
Whey Protein
Whey protein is by and large the most popular and arguably the best type of protein
and/or supplement on the market today. Often called the gold standard of protein,
whey is a total protein meaning it contains all of the necessary amino acids due to its
Branched chain amino acids structure (BCAA s). BCAA s are naturally occurring
molecules (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) that the body uses to build proteins. The
term branched chain refers to the molecular structure of these particular amino ...

Studies have demonstrated that casein protein can sustain the body with a regular
supply of amino acids for at least seven hours, making casein the most anabolic
protein, even more than whey. The rationale behind this is really because casein
forms a gel in acidic environments like the stomach, and so releases a steady supply
of amino acids into the bloodstream, permitting your body to remain anabolic.
Since casein is kind of a slow digesting protein, consuming 30 50 grams before bed
will stop catabolism while you re asleep. You may also consume casein protein
across the day, just never after a workout. Post workout protein should be soaked up
fast into the bloodstream, making casein a particularly bad choice. Casein protein
can be taken pre workout as well, but this would not be the best use. A better pre
workout shake would be to mix together a blend of casein and whey protein, thus
permitting you to drink it inside thirty minutes of your workout.
Milk contains over 80% casein protein, so mixing whey protein with milk will not
only make your shake taste better but it will give you a make shift time release
formula, effective straight away and sustaining for hours to come. Also, mixing your
casein with milk before bed will ensure you stay anti catabolic across the

The auto industry and area of commerce in which automobile models are planned,
designed, manufactured, and marketed. The automobile industry is concerned with
profits and competition. And depending on the country consumer demands for
styling, safety, and efficiency differ and with labor relations and manufacturing
efficiency too.
In the Automobile industry, many companies need to strive to make better and
affordable cars. The automobile industry is concerned with profits and
competition, consumer demands for styling, safety, and efficiency and it is also
involved with labor relations and manufacturing efficiency. For example, in 2007,
more than 73 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were
produced worldwide. In 2007, a total of 71.9 million new automobiles were sold
worldwide: 22.9 million in Europe, 21.4 million in Asia Pacific, 19.4 million in
North America, 4.4 million in Latin America, 2.4 million in the Middle East and 1.4
million in Africa. The markets in North America and Japan were stagnant, while
those in South America and Asia grew strongly. Of the major markets, Russia, Brazil
and China saw the most rapid growth. In 2008, with rapidly rising oil prices,
industries such as the automotive industry are experiencing a combination of pricing
pressures from raw material costs and changes in consumer buying habits. The
industry is also facing increasing external

The Coals of Russian Imperialism Still Smolder on Ukrainian Soil
Ukraine, once a totalitarian state in the USSR, is now being ravaged by civil war.
This war has been fought between Ukrainian Nationalist and Pro Russian supporters
in the Donbass region. This rising unrest can be traced back to the Russian ties that
run deep in its Government. This Russian influence is being used by President Putin
to incite Rebellion in the eyes of Ukrainians, and it all starts with Ukrainian politics
of party groups Svoboda and The Party of Regions
Because of Soviet totalitarianism, Ukrainians hold little patriotism for their own
nationalism. That is why, Since gaining its independence in... Show more content on

They have made it this far in this war with the help of the Russian motherland. One
prime example of this is the funding of their military training. They have obtained the
support through the Russian Orthodox Church and have been trained by pro Russian
military groups. Along with training they also have the reinforcements of Russian
mercenaries though, Ukrainians say have some pretty rustic tactics (London Evening
Standard, Pit)
This war has ruined the Ukrainian economy and the value of Ukrainian dollar has
fallen over 50 percent. (Kim) Along with the reduction of the dollar, the rebel
groups have stopped or slowed the production in their control of the Donbass. A
prime example of this instance is in Maripul, a city on the outskirts of the Donetsk
region. Maripul relies on two steel mills for its production, and since the war has
started they have only been able to run at 70 percent capacity.
Along with a failing economy, the Ukrainians have little to match the newer
weaponry of the Russian. Ukrainians have been armed with soviet era grenades and
machine guns. They are so bad off that most of their supplies come from donations
from the citizens of Ukraine. This is little compared to the 250 tanks,400 armored
vehicles and 1,900 trucks moving into Donbass
The Jacksonville Axemen Is A Semi Professional Rugby...
The Jacksonville Axemen is a semi professional rugby league team that competes
in the summer, out of the University of North Florida s Hodges Stadium. The
Axemen are one of fourteen teams that compete in the USA Rugby League,
USARL. It is a small organization with a staff of seven that saw its beginning in
2006, and has been one of the most competitive teams in its league. Based on my
research of the organization, I could not determine any policies that the
organization actually had in place. This is in part due to the small nature of the
staff so they do not have an employee handbook that would contain policies
regarding code of conduct. When I spoke with Drew Slover, the co founder/co
owner/General Manager of the Axemen, he said, because of the size of the
organization we do not have a set of policies. We do have an Emergency Action
Plan though (personal communication, 2015). An Emergency Action Plan is an
important piece to an organization, because it can save them from a lawsuit but it is
not the only necessity. In order for an organization to be successful as a business,
it is important for the leaders to set a variety of policies so that all reasonable and
foreseeable scenarios can have a plan of action. This is truer for sport organizations
than regular businesses because we open our business as entertainment for everyone
to see, which invites criticism of every action. Not having policies can be detrimental
to the image of the organization and bring on a
Anatomy of the Female Reproductive System
Anatomy of the Female Reproductive System
The reproductive role of the female is far more complex than that of a male. Not
only must she produce gametes, but her body must prepare to nurture a developing
embryo for a period of approximately nine months. Ovaries, the female gonads, are
the primary reproductive organs of a female, and like the male testes, ovaries serve a
dual purpose: They produce the female gametes (ova) and sex hormones, the
estrogens * and progesterone (pro ges′tĕ rōn). The accessory ducts (uterine
tubes, uterus, and vagina) transport or otherwise serve the needs of the reproductive
cells and a developing fetus. As illustrated in Figure 27.11, the ovaries and duct
system, collectively known as the internal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each uterine tube is about 10 cm (4 inches) long and extends medially from the
region of an ovary to empty into the superolateral region of the uterus via a
constricted region called the isthmus (is′mus). The distal end of each uterine tube
expands as it curves around the ovary, forming the ampulla; fertilization usually
occurs in this region. The ampulla ends in the infundibulum (in″fun dib′u lum),
an open, funnel shaped structure bearing ciliated, fingerlike projections called
fimbriae (fim′bre e; fringe ) that drape over the ovary. Unlike the male duct
system, which is continuous with the tubules of the testes, the uterine tubes have
little or no actual contact with the ovaries. An ovulated oocyte is cast into the
peritoneal cavity, and many oocytes are lost there. However, the uterine tube
performs complex movements to capture oocytes it bends to drape over the ovary
while the fimbriae stiffen and sweep the ovarian surface. The beating cilia on the
fimbriae then create currents in the peritoneal fluid that tend to carry an oocyte into
the uterine tube, where it begins its journey toward the uterus.
The uterine tube contains sheets of smooth muscle, and its thick, highly folded
mucosa contains both ciliated and nonciliated cells. The oocyte is carried toward the
uterus by a combination of muscular peristalsis and the beating of the cilia.
Nonciliated cells of the mucosa have dense

Often times people relate what they re learning to the environment around them.
Studying in Oxford allowed for a unique, more relatable experience to history and the
literature discussed in the course. Oxford, being one of the oldest, most prestigious
institutions in the world, generated an atmosphere that my classmates and I couldn t
experience in Geneseo, one we may never have the chance to experience again. From
the history, to the architecture, to the students and culture it is unparalleled to our
education here in the US. The historical significance England has, not only with the
USA, but the entire world made the trip invaluable. Learning in the same place as

Thomas Hardys Jude the Obscure, creates a special connection to the text I would

Class itself was different from any class I ve taken in Geneseo, from the room to the
bond I shared with my classmates and professors throughout the trip. The
environment, along with other factors, created a more fulfilling academic
experience, one I had yet to experience until this trip. Lectures and discussions
became a thing I was excited to listen and participate in. Class, in general, was more

Gender Dysphori A Controversial Mental Disorder
Gender Dysphoria
Katlynn Tolley
Gender Dysphoria is a controversial mental disorder that affects the medical, social,
and personal aspects of the lives of many people. There is no definite known cause
that is agreed upon in the medical field. Research is still underway to determine
causes of Gender Dysphoria as well as effective treatment options and ways to
increase the quality of life for people diagnosed with it.
Gender Dysphoria, or GD, is a condition in which an individual feels like their
biological sex does not correspond with the gender they feel comfortable identifying
as. To understand the disorder, you must first understand the meaning of the words.
Gender is the state of being male or female (Merriam Webster). Dysphoria is a
synonym for dissatisfaction. Therefore, Gender Dysphoria means the individual is
dissatisfied, or uncomfortable, with being either a biological male or a biological
female. In the past, Gender Dysphoria used to be called Gender Identity Disorder
(Web MD). Another name is Transvestic Fetishism (Britannica).
Signs of Gender Dysphoria can become apparent in childhood. Younger children
may dislike toys and activities for children their age that line up with their
biological sex. Children this young typically do not understand gender, but this is an
early sign that they are unaware of. They may also choose friends of the gender they
consciously or subconsciously wish to be. They may be more attracted to these
people because
Jamestown The Buried Truth By William M. Kelso
Jamestown The Buried Truth, was an exciting book that unearthed the lost James
Fort that was established in the early 17th century. It was told by the lead
Archaeologist of the Jamestown Rediscovery Project, William M. Kelso, published
by the University of Virginia Press in, 2006. Kelso tells the journey of this twelve
year project of discovering Jamestownin preparation for the 400th anniversary back
in 2007. Along the way they found the graves of seventy people, artifacts, trash pits,
armor, evidence of the starving time, the fort and other pieces of significant evidence.

As a result a week later they engaged in warfare with them. On May 27, 1607 a
battle broke out between the English and about two hundred natives in which
eleven English men died. This incident unfortunately forecasts the tragic future of
Euro American Native American Relations (Kelso 2006:16). Not only was this a
traumatic time for the English it was also a wake up call to further fortified the
camp and to be enclosed with palisades. According to George Percy James Fort was
complete on June 15th in a triangular shape of about two acres with three bulwarks.
This was not an easy task for these men.
They had to dig a nine hundred foot trench, along with cutting down and hauling tree
that could have easily have weight about eight hundred pounds all while having
Native Americans shooting at them (Kelso 2006:16). It is thought that the Virginia
Indians played a role in the location and survival of Jamestown. The English were
in Powhatan s territory, and the island had a natural defense from their enemies
making it the safest place to be, even if it was not a geographically ideal location.
Powhatan was considered one of the most powerful chiefs claiming to have over a
hundred children. Powhatan died in 1618 and his brother, Opechancanough led an
attack on the English in 1622 and 1644. Pocahontas would befriend John Smith and
marry John Rolfe in 1613 resulting in a temporary peace between the Virginia Indians

Chelsea,
I enjoyed reading your thoughts on how students are prepared for college by their
parents and other authority figures. Since self authorship often occurs at different
points for students, I m also interested in the question you asked at the end of your

to make programs and experiences unique for each student at an institution, but that
can be hard if the group of students you re working with are in different places
developmentally. I wonder if there any institutions that have had success in working
with first and second year students to help them on their journey of self authorship?
On the same note I wonder if there are any programs in place

Maintaining Information Stored On A User Freedom

Operating systems have to provide a level of security to allow a user freedom
without someone seeing them making a purchase online. An attacker would find
that purchase made very valuable, they can acquire that information. From threats
and attacks which could allow sensitive information to be looked at or taken. The
idea of an OS having a built in security levels is now a very crucial task. This helps
to secure information to not be looked at. Securing information stored and
allowing only certain users to look at it are the main components to protect. Now,
computers and technology are a part of our everyday life that we do not see the
protection happening in the background. To understand this more, information that
is stored in a database, on a computer, through emails and websites are all examples
of secure information. An OS needs to have different levels of security built in that
helps protect this sensitive information. For some users and companies, they have
very personal information stored on their computer. Even for a regular user, an
email should not be read when it is sent to someone. A computer stores what is
sent, if an attacker was able to get past the password they would get that
information. Making purchases online with a credit card should not be found or
easily accessible. On a company s side, they could hold up to millions of user s
personal information such as social security numbers, and information about you.

An Essay On Houston Texas
HousВ·toВ·niВ·an, a native resident of Houston, Texas. This term is popular in
more states than Texas. There s a saying that Everything is bigger and better in
Texas. Houston is the fourth largest city in America behind Nevada and ahead of
New Mexico. Now that is big. People that are born in Texas are natives, and therefore
Houstonian. There are several races that call Houstonhome like Hispanics, Asians,
Blacks and Europeans. There is also a refugee population in Houston from places like
Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia. However, any person that lives in the culture and
experiences the culture to the extent that they consider themselves native can also be
called a Houstonian. Houstonian is not a term. Houstonian is a way of life, a culture,
and an identity. Technically a Houstonian is anyone native to the city of Houston,
Texas. As vague as that may be, this surprisingly includes all kinds of nationalities
and races. Houston is melting pot city and many families are started here. As long
as you have lived in the city for a minimum time, or have been born in Houston that
makes you a Houstonian. Usually natives are born into a family of natives as well
but other times it is a generation that starts the path going forward. There is no
particular face of a Houstonian, or style of dress for that matter. A Houstonian is
recognized by their comfort in the city. Houstonians a proud of their city and often
rally often at festivals and events to celebrate that culture of a fun and

adventure of a very cute robot. The robot s name, as you have guessed, is WALL E,
which stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth class.
The movie is set 700 years into the future, when Earth is predicted to be a massive
wasteland. There is no sign of life on Earth and poor WALL Eis left to pick up the
pieces. Along with his comical critter as a sidekick, he spends every day
compressing trash into perfectly square bales and placing it neatly along others.
Every night WALL E returns to his storage space where he keeps all the interesting
items he finds throughout the day. Some of the most important include, a tv, where
he plays a particular movie, a couple of lighters, and replacement parts for himself.
At the end of the day, he treads into rest position and drifts into sleep mode. When he
wakes up, every day is the same; he must compress all the trash left by the humans,
who currently orbit around the Earth in a huge spaceship, ... Show more content on

Precious treasures fall from the shelves where WALL E has so carefully placed
them. The sudden change in his routine like days sends WALL E into a panic.
Well, one thing leads to another, and WALL E finds himself now orbiting the
Earth with the humans. We can t forget his most treasured item stuffed inside his
compression box: a plant, green and full of life, that has been transplanted into a
shoe. Of course on this journey WALL E meets the love of his life; a slender,
modern looking robot named EVE. Proud of his findings, WALL E ends up
showing her his plant. EVE goes ballistic and shuts down immediately, after taking
the plant from WALL E. Disaster strikes when the Captain of the ship finds out there
is a plant on board. I won t tell you the end, but has Pixar ever given you an

Essay On The Group
When my summer coworkers invited me to join their fall trivia team I knew I had
found the perfect collective activity for this project. The Grawood organizes a
trivia night every Wednesday night from nine until midnight. It runs through the
summer and school year. I focused on one particular group. I sat with this group
and observed them for a couple sessions of trivia. By 8:30 the Grawood is already
packed and every table is full. Groups of regular trivia goers gather early to get
tables near the stage. Many greet each other with hugs and greetings of people you
have not seen since the last week s trivia night. Several groups, including the one I
was observing, seem to only see each other at trivia. These groups chat and catch up
until... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once the trivia begins however, a hush falls. Phones disappear into pockets and
voices drop in volume. Everyone seems to automatically follow rules for the most
part. No one seems to care enough about winning to be accused of cheating. The
risk of being labelled as a cheater does not seem to outweigh the reward of winning.
In our group, a couple members were chided by other members about having their
phones out in case anyone even thought they were cheating. One girl, who has
clearly had quite a bit to drink is yelling and wavering in her chair. She receives
many dirty looks from my group and other neighbouring tables. No one says
anything but she is clearly considered a disruption. The only time groups are
noticeably loud are during the large gaps between sections. During that time music
is playing in background (usually songs that were featured on the song questions
from the previous section) and people are jabbering to each other. Conversation do
not actually tend to be about the trivia, but rather the previous week, catching up
with each other, and swapping stories. One common theme to the trivia night was
the benefits regulars received. There is a free answer given out on twitter every
week. The trivia is set up the same every week as well: first section has a theme,
second section is usually a mystery word, and the last section has the same types of
questions given out each week. This gives an advantage to returning groups. Despite
Ambiguous Places In The Odyssey
Jacob was very eager to go down to Paddan aram to choose a wife as his father
Isaac had instructed. He set out and arrived at a certain place. The ambiguous word
place is used here, for the text emphasizes that Jacob has no idea that the he place
has come upon is sacred, only when he wakes up does he realize it is sacred. But
as we know, his departure received the blessing of his father and the support of his
mother (28:1 5). His father s blessing is linked with the earlier blessings bestowed
on Abraham, and the content is similar, prominence is given to the idea of fertility
and on the return to the land of Canaan where the promises made to Abraham will
be fulfilled. Jacob like the Hebrew people will go to exile, but he will eventually
Analysis Of Get Up Stand Up By Bob Marley
As previously discussed, we will concentrate our findings based on three
communication concepts; empathy and empathic communication, self disclosure,
emotions and social influences of emotion.
The first communication concept relates to empathy and empathic communication,
both Bob and Ziggy Marley display this throughout their music. Empathy defined by
Julia T. Wood, is the ability to feel with another person, to feel what she or he feels
in a situation. Our feelings tend to be guided by our own emotional tendencies and
experiences (78). In the fullest sense, this implies putting yourself into the other
person s shoes, to experience their life, so that you really understand and feel; pain,
anger, frustration, joy, spiritual uplift and happiness. Bob Marleyis empathetic in
nature, he is someone who appears to speak for the people. It is his music, his life
story, his worldview and the way he carries himself he seems like an extension of
the people and their leader. He seems like a sort of Cultural Senator, a man who
represents his people (Toure 2017). Bob Marley expresses empathy throughout his
song Get Up Stand Up, by giving us examples of what life was like in the 1960 s in
Jamaica. Paying close attention to the words and the connotations associated with
those words, we can get an idea to what was going on during that era. From the
beginning, reggae was political, as the work of Bob clearly attests. When he
chants, Get up Stand up Stand up for your rights! you can feel how important
this issue is to him. By translating this one lyric, you can imagine the details of his
experiences and the emotions associated with them. The lyrics of this song relates
to the struggles and inequality of the society and the harsh realities of a post
independent Jamaica. Nearly the entire song has a political slant to it in some shape
or form. The political unrest which was taking place at the time was extremely
intense, this song urged people to raise and stand up and fight for their rights and to
be proactive.
Ziggy Marley sings a different tune, this is due to the era he was brought up in and
how he was raised. With his father s royalties, Ziggy had a different upbringing than
Bob did. He didn t grow up

Rhetorical Devices In The Convergence Of The Twain By...
The construction of the Titanic started on March 31, 1909 and finished on May 31,
1911. During the process, constructors made sure to make the Titanic as attractive as
possible, accessorizing it with many iconic features such as the ship s grand staircase
and its promenade deck. Many people at the time believed that the Titanic would
never sink, therefore naming it the Unsinkable ship after it has set sail. Unfortunately,
the unsinkable ship collided with an icebergon April 14, 1912, claiming the lives of
1,500 passengers. As a result, the Titanic broke into two and sunk, leaving behind
its legacy. Thomas Hardy provides a poem that acknowledges the sinking of the
Titanic. Unlike the many similar reactions of grief and sorrow that the people had,
Hardy approaches the event differently. In the poem, The Convergence of the Twain,
Thomas Hardy uses a variety of rhetorical devices to express his disdain for the
vanity of humans during the first half of the poem and to explain that fate s work
resulted in the outcome of the Titanic during the second half of the poem.
Throughout the first five stanzas of the poem, Hardy utilizes allusion, juxtaposition,
and alliteration to emphasize the idea that the excessive pride of humans is useless
and it has led to the downfall of the Titanic. Therefore, Hardy provides insight on the
vanity of those that built the ship. He describes the people as the Pride of Life. The
description alludes to the book of John in the Christian Bible.

A Brief History of Antibiotics, Antibiotic Resistance, and Antibiotic Alternatives
Antibiotic Resistance and Alternatives
Antibiotics have been commonly, though mistakenly, thought of as the ultimate
cure, for almost all illness, for over half a century now. However, the intended use
of antibiotics is for the treatment of bacterial infections and diseases. Viruses or
fungi related illnesses will not be affected by antibiotics. This misunderstanding of
the use of antibiotics has led to overuse, or the misuse, of antibiotics, in a wide
range of countries worldwide. As a result of overuse, misuse, and abuse, antibiotics,
once hailed as the savior of mankind, are an increasing threat as bacteria grow ever
stronger. (Bunyard) The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
aureus was one of the first publicized bacteria known to have become resistant to
penicillin. (Ed. Bonomo and Ed. Tolmasky) In London, just a few years after the
introduction of penicillin, strains of staphylococcus appeared that were resistant to
penicillin, not simply by keeping it out, but by actually destroying it. (Bunyard) S.
aureus caused serious illnesses, such as pneumonia, endocarditis, osteomylitis, and
toxic shock syndrome. (Ed. Bonomo and Ed. Tolmasky) The clinical impact of this
resistance was staggering; this harmful pathogen had once again become untreatable.
Since the 1940 s, antibiotic production has increased rapidly. By 1946, in one
hospital, 14% of the strains isolated from patients had gained such resistance. In
1949, the U.S. produced penicillin and streptomycin at the rate of 6.5 tons per
month. (Bunyard) In the early 1950 s, nearly 60% of the strains isolated from
patients had gained resistance. (Bunyard) By 1954, the rate of production of broad
spectrum antibiotics had tripled to 220 tons a year. Today, the quantity produced in
the U.S. alone is 18,000 tons a year, nearly half of which is used in the intensive
rearing of animals as growth promoters and for controlling disease on the farm,
which itself is largely a product of closely confined livestock. In the U.K., the Swann
Committee of 1969 warned of the dangers of antibiotic resistance from farmers using
antibiotic growth promoters, and recommended a ban specifically on the use

Being An International Student Program
When I first came to class, I was curious, nervous and excited as this was the only
class for which I gave thought for should I go for it in this semester or in next
semester . As being an international student coming directly from India with an
undergraduate degree and no work experience made me nervous in starting of the
class. But as the class progressed through weeks, I was becoming more confident
and the zeal to learn new things kept me going. I was science student back in India
with major in Biotechnology, but came here for Master s in Management as I was
always inclined towards business. So before coming to this class I used to go
through different questions in my mind such as: how great companies work
differently, and how to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everyone in class made their decisions independently such as hiring the people
based on their skills, experience, work ethics and other factors and assigning
different tasks to them according to the requirement in specific period. The
framework how the simulation works and it s rules can be learned in a very small
duration. Our instructor explained it clearly and helped us in taking our first
period decisions in the class. She cleared our various questions like when there are
chances to get the penalty and how we can take our decisions efficiently without
losing our budget amount. Thus, there are no perfect rules for how to win a
simulation game, it just requires the efficient and mind boggling decision making.
So the best way is to analyze is take on the performance in all the previous periods
before taking decisions for the current period. I learned a lot from the Sim4 Project
simulation game. The best part for this game was that everyone in class was playing
against each other and not with the artificial intelligence, which helped in creating the
environment for students, where they can actually apply their strategies by bidding
for different resources. This game taught us how to run a project and how to handle a
company, but we have to work ourselves in applying strategies, thus the best strategy
to win the simulation game is giving your best shot by thinking smartly. Besides that
going through the game, I learned other different
Pcaob Rules Of Public Accounting
PCAOB new rules
Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has implemented new rules to its
auditing standards which will provide financial statement users with information
about engagement partners and accounting firms that participate in audits of issuers.
After the final decision, all public accounting firms will be required to apply the new
rule for each issuer audit. According to PCAOB Release No. 2015 008, the three
disclosing issues includes: the name of the engagement partner; the name, location,
and extent of participation of each other accounting firm that took part in the audit
whose work constituted at least 5% of total audit hours; and the number and
aggregate extent of participation of all other accounting firms participating ... Show

This is problematic for financial statement users who rely on the information because
it does not identify any other firms who may have assisted. Additionally an audit
report is not providing full information about the engagement partner or the other
accounting firms that were involved in the audit reports. According to PCAOB s fact
sheet (2013), audit reports currently only release the name of the audit firm; presently
the users are unaware of whether the accounting firm or the engagement partner
issued the report (para.2). Therefore investors, creditors, and other financial statement
users don t know the engagement partner s name and extent of involvement of each
other accounting firm in the audit work. As researchers Carcello and Santore (2015)
have explained:
Audit partners are currently identifiable to select audiences such as other firm
personnel, client management, client board members, and, after the fact, to regulators
and securities class action attorneys. However, audit partners are not currently
identifiable to most investors, to the business press, and to society at large. (p.298).
Investors, creditors, and others financial report users do not have any way to know
individual engagement partners up until now, because all public firms disclose only
their auditor s and firm s name. When PCAOB has implemented new rules, investors,
creditors, and other financial
Prophet Muhammad Research Paper
Muhammad was once someone that was ignored and shamed upon, but is now
known as the founder of Islam and the vast empire of Arabia. Throughout his life,
Muhammad persevered through many family and religious challenges, even when
many people fought against his new religion.
In 570 CE, Muhammad was born into the Hashim clan in Makkah and was sent to
live with a nomad family in the desert by his widowed mother. Then, Muhammad
was sent back to the city of Makkah, where his mother soon died and he became an
orphan. Soon, Muhammad s grandfather, a respected leader of the Hashim clan
named Abd al Muttalib cared for him. Later on, the grandfather died and his uncle
Abu Talib, a merchant and the new leader of the Hashim clan, cared for Muhammad.
With his uncle at the age of 12, he went on a trading journey to Syria. When
Muhammad became an adult, he became a trader and successfully ran caravans,
leading to his marriage with a woman named Khadijah.
One day, Muhammad (who was very spiritual) went to the mountains and prayed in a
cave at around 610 CE. As stated in the Qur an, an angel named Gabriel told
Muhammad that he was the prophet of God (Allah). Muhammad told Khadijah ...

This could have been avoided altogether if diplomacy worked and Iran received the

British leaders would not concede anything but the remainder of the status quo,
and Iran wanted nothing but nationalization. A British attempt to calm down the
nationalist feelings in the Majlis, the Iranian congress, and their demand to revoke

The citizenry did not fall for it and protested. A report completed by Richard

Persuasive Essay Against Animal Testing
Imagine an animal locked in a dark cage, alone without food or water, with a
deadly disease infecting its body, having to watch other animals being experimented
on. These animals have zero control of what is about to happen, and they will never
know if today is their last day. This is the situation that happens when animals are
the subject of tests. Many of these animals are suffering with diseases and possibly
growing tumors the size of their bodies. Worldwide, 24 animals die every minute in
laboratories. Every year, 100 million animals die from such test.
These tests are unethical, unnecessary, and is bad science. Mice, fish, rabbits, rats,
guinea pigs, hamsters, farm animals, birds, cats, and dogs are just a few of the animals
that are being tested on. Many of these animals become blind after tests that consist
of eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredients, and medicines. These animals are dying
inhumanely, and it needs to stop. PETA scientist stated, Life in a cage is no life at all
(PETA). So why, as humans, do we find it acceptable to put them through all this
suffering?
The United States of America allows laboratories to test on animals. Many times
testing includes but is not limited to: starving, isolating, drowning, being burnt,
shocked, brain damaged, and addicted to drugs. Animal testing is very ineffective due
to animals not getting the same diseases as humans. Also, the testing leaves
permanent damage to the animals. Blindness, burning skin, and brain damage are

Rationale for Bharti Infratel Ltd. IPO:
The Company was established in July 2007, as a spin off from Airtel, to provide
tower infrastructure services to telecom players in the market.
Strategy: The Company was looking at expanding its tower business to cater to not
only Airtel but also other players and hence needed to raise capital for the huge
capital expenditure required for building its tower infrastructure.
Industry Factors: Indian telecom network is the second largest in the world after
China. India has 864.72 Million wireless telephone connections and a tele density of
73.34% as on December 2012. (Dept. of Telecom, Government of India, 2012 2013)
The Company is expected to benefit from the increase in penetration of voice and
data services in India, which will drive the telecom companies demand for
additional towers. The tenancy ratio is expected to increase as telecom players roll
out 3G/4G on 2100 MHz and 2300 MHz bands.
Network expansion by India s leading telecom majors Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and
Idea Cellular Ltd will work in Bharti Infratel s favour. Large scale operations, first
mover advantage and pool sharing arrangement among the top three telecom majors
is expected to improve Bharti Infratel s operating leverage and

Butterfly Dance The Hopi tribe is found in the Southwest region of the United
States in Arizona, where they trace their ancestry back 2,000 years; however, tribal
legends suggest that the Hopi tribe migrated to Arizona from the south, which is
present day South America, Central America, and Mexico. The Hopi is
considered one of the oldest living cultures by historical documentation (Hopi

ceremony usually performed in the late summer that falls into the social dance
category. The dance is a celebration of the end of the harvest season and
thankfulness for a good crop. The Butterfly Dance is sponsored by a family and
held specifically for the young people of the tribe (Lomahaftewa). Important
aspects of the dance include the public performance, with no sacred altars or secret

Traditional Medicine And Modern Medicine
Since 7,000 BCE humans were discovered to have used primitive methods to practice
medicine and overtime it s become more sophisticated. Medicine, in general, is the
science and practice of the diagnosis, treatments, and prevention of disease. It
encompasses a variety of evolved methods to maintain and rejuvenate health. When
aspects of traditional medicinesuch as acupuncture and herbal remedies are combined
with modern scientific medicine, complications regarding a person s mental or
physical condition may be resolved in an affordable, ethical, and effective manner.
Today in America the cost of goods in general is steadily rising while their earnings
are disporinate to this increase leaving many in debt. Statistics show that healthcare is
the number one cause of personal bankruptcy and is responsible for more collections
than credit cards. According to Olga Khazan of the Atlantic Roughly 40 percent of
Americans owe collectors money for times they were sick (2). Collectively,
Americans are alarmingly paying more for treatments due to hidden costs in the
initial procedure. A solution for this would involve incorporating traditional medicine
with modern scientific medicine. Importantly, to clear up any misconception about
what defines modern, traditional , and alternative medicine a few lines will be
dedicated. The World Health Organization states that Traditional medicine comprises
medical aspects of traditional knowledge that developed over generations within

Christ Giving the Keys to St. Peter is a work of art of the Renaissance made by
Italian artist, Pietro Perugino in the late 15th Century. This painting is a clear

Works of art like this one were funded by the Vatican Church as a way of expressing

they are overlapping each other, yet it is obvious that they are not occupying the

In addition to the people showcased in the painting, on the third plane Perugino

architecture by borrowing elements from classical Greco Roman architecture.
Furthermore, in front of each arch scenes from Jesus life are being depicted. The
one on the left is the tribute money where jesus pays his toll for the support of the

17. Harmful Insect (Akihiko Shiota, 2001) Harmful Insect is a coming of age film
about a teenager, junior high student, Sachiko, with a plethora of problems. Her
father has abandoned her and her mother, who has developed since suicidal
tendencies, extreme mood swings and a peculiar taste in boyfriends. Furthermore,
her beloved sixth grade teacher has been forced to retire due to rumors of having an
affair with her. Due to the aforementioned, Sachiko has become detached from both
the school and her home environment, thus resulting in her skipping classes and
roaming the streets with a teenage delinquent and Mr Kyuzo, a vagrant with the
mind of a child. Akihiko Shiota portrays a young girl that does not seem able to get
a break, thus becoming an utterly tragic figure, a fact stressed even more by her
attitude. She tries to appear strong and cool, rarely uttering a single word; however,
she is very sensitive and uses the tactic to cope with her problems and her silence to
keep her issues hidden inside her. Nevertheless, the growing distance between her
attitude and her feelings, unavoidably result in an eruption and subsequently, to
Music And The Negative Effects Of Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal music is often criticized for being a negative influence due to the lyrical
content and aesthetics of the genre. For those unfamiliar with heavy metal, it is easy
to make this correlation because of the darker and often taboo subject matter present
throughout the music. With a little more analysis, however, it can be discovered that
these same aspects thought to be negative actually bring forth positive results among
metal listeners. What is found in heavy metal musicis actually a display of emotions
and energy that often have a purging effect which helps listeners of metal cope with
the constantly changing world around them. Heavy metal is used as a tool for
expressing emotion in a nonviolent way, rather than through physical destruction
sought by some other genres.
Heavy metal is a lot like an experiment to the people who do not understand it or
those who dislike it. They look at it as a disgrace, dissect it, run tests on it, and
analyze the results in order to get ammunition to put it down.
Researchers from the University of Queensland in Australia have found that when
volunteers were exposed to extreme music genres including heavy metal, emo,
hardcore, punk, and screamo, they actually experienced a range of positive feelings,
such as calmness, happiness or being inspired. The study, conducted by honours
student Leah Sharman and psychologist Genevieve Dingle and published in the June
26, 2015 edition of Science Alert by writer Peter Dockrill , took 39
Manipulation In Ender s Game
A prominent theme in Ender s Game is manipulation. Manipulation is a prominent
theme because Ender gets manipulated a lot, Ender manipulates people, Peter
manipulates a lot of people , Colonel Graff manipulates a lot of people , and Ender
s team gets manipulated a lot too. Ender is manipulated by Mazer Rackham in his
final test, Ender manipulates Bonzo to fight him one on one, Peter manipulates the
world and becomes the leader of the world, Colonel Graff manipulates the kids, and
Valentine manipulates Ender. The whole book is basically based on manipulation.
Mazer Rackham manipulates Ender by saying beating the Buggers is his final test
instead of saying this is the fight against the Buggers. Mazer says, Congratulations,
you beat them, and it s all over (296). This is manipulation because Mazer used

Peter is Locke an imaginary person in the news nets. His sister Valentine is
Demosthenes another imaginary person in the news nets Locke and Demosthenes

He becomes the leader of the world. Dink said, They finally agreed to accept the
Locke Proposal. (303) The Locke Proposal is the I.F. will stay in existence, but
without the Warsaw Pact in it. This quote shows that Peter has the world in his hands
right now. This is manipulation because Peter uses the news nets to manipulate the
world into doing what he wants.
Ender and the Launchies ride a rocket ship to space. Colonel Graff manipulates the

And when I tell you Ender Wiggin is the best in this launch, take the hint, my little

Ender or make him feel too comfortable or he might not do his best in

Treatments can relieve many of the symptoms, but there is no cure for the disorder.
Hygiene and diet can be beneficial in reducing the symptoms of a child with ADHD.
Parents who have children with this disorder try to reduce the child s sugar intake
and also their intake of processed foods. Nutritional supplements can be a treatment
for ADHD based on the assumption that certain nutrients are crucial for normal brain
functioning. Macronutrients (amino acids, lipids, and carbohydrates, and
micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) have propped as treatment for ADHD
(Spetie 278). When a patient is under the care of a physician their weight and vital
signs are monitored on a routinely bases in order to insure there are no drastic
changes. The most common type of medication used for treating attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder is a Stimulant . Stimulants have a calming effect on children
with ADHD. Medication reduces children s hyperactivity and impulsivity which can
improve their ability to focus work, learn and live a normal life. Medications for
ADHD can come in different forms, such as pills, liquid, skin patches, and capsules.
Some of the medications that are widely used are Adderall (amphetamine) approved
for children age 3 and older. Another common medication is Concerta
(methylphenidate which is long acting. These medications can have different side
effects on the patient, so it may take trial and error and close monitoring of the patient
to determine what medication is best for the
Miss Goering s The Obsoletes From Two Serious Ladies
Notes: I thought about time throughout reading Two Serious Ladies. I have
stumbled on it since I found at Miss Goering for the first time, which was when she
baptized her sister s friend in the cold river. At first, perhaps just like many other
readers, I found the scene as the first appearance of the water and its stream as the
leitmotif of the novel. But when the much older Miss Goering felt abandoned alone
and cried in the guest room of Arnold s family house, I began to reconsider it also as
Miss Goering first reaction to the haunting monstrosity of time. If progress is a
persistence attempt to master the stream of time, then how trance deal with it?
Possibly, my response below came from that question. The Obsoletes It s the talkies,

Uncertainties In Interpersonal Communication Between...
It is a common fact of life that with every new day, individuals are infused with a
number of uncertainties; some small and miniscule, such as meeting a student next to
you in a classroom, while others life changing and pivotal, including switching
careers or becoming a parent. As each new unpredictable day arises, uncertainty fills
the air, constantly swarming one s emotions and daily interactions. While factors of
uncertainty revolve around routinely aspects, Charles Berger and Richard Calabrese
(1975) narrowed their focus and devised a theory specifically on uncertainty and
interpersonal communication. By studying how human communication is used to
gain knowledge and create understanding, Berger and Calabrese unveiled the first...

By acknowledging the two different types of uncertainties one may face in
interpersonal communication, the Uncertainty Reduction Theory translates this
information into three situational parameters that enhance people s desire to reduce
such levels of uncertainty (Berger, 1975). The first condition is deviation, which
claims that when an individual violates our expectations, we wish to reduce
uncertainty as a way compensating for what we least expected. The second parameter
is anticipation of future interaction, which means individuals seek to reduce
uncertainty with someone whom he/she knows they may see again. And lastly,
control over resources, or sometimes known as incentive value, explains that one
wishes to reduce uncertainty because that individual has something you want or need
(Knobloh, 2008). According to the Uncertainty Reduction Theory, if these three
conditions apply to a situation, one will do almost anything in their power to make
sense of who he/she is as an individual.
Thus far, it has been well perceived that there are certain strategies and components
that make up the preaching of the Uncertainty Reduction Theory. However, what
actually is the Uncertainty Reduction Theory? In order to discover its roots and
premises, one must trace back to its very first original form. The Uncertainty
Reduction Theory began with the proposition that when strangers meet, their primary
concern is one of uncertainty
Friar Lawrence Is To Blame In Shakespeare s Romeo And
Juliet
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a story about two young crossed lovers. Their
love was so strong that they sacrificed themselves for each other. The play which is
set in Verona is a story about a long grudge between the Montague and Capulet
families. This feud causes tragic results for the main characters in the play,
Romeo, and Juliet. The children of each of these households fall in love then
commit suicide. However, they were not the only ones to blame for their death.
One character that is to blame is Friar Laurence, the priest. To start off, Friar was
the adult or the mature person in this situation. When Romeo came to Friar for
advice and to inform him that he has fallen in love, Friar is surprised that he got
over Rosaline so quickly. He tells him to not rush things, but agrees to the secret
marriage thinking it would end the feud between the families. We can see that in the
following quote: Holy Saint Francis! What a change is here! Is Rosaline, that thou
didst love so dear, So soon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Imaginary Family
When most kids are younger they have an imaginary friend, I, on the other hand
had an imaginary sister, I would pretend to play with her all the time until my mom
finally had a girl. I am the oldest of six and for four years I was the only child and I
was tired of not having anyone to play with; I wanted a sister so bad I pretended to
have one and I named her Suzy. We would do everything together and I would even
share my toys with her. My mom later got pregnant with a girl and named her Suzy. I
was the first born and I was also the first grandchild on my dad s side, so I was very
spoiled. My familylived with my grandparents at the time, so not only did I have
unlimited time with my parents but also my grandparents. My mom said I was
never on the ground, I was always held. Whenever we would go to the store I
would play with the toys and my mom would tell me she would buy me the toy and
I would say no and put the toy back. I loved when the kids my mom would watch
would come over, I liked interacting with other kids and I also did not mind sharing
my toys. I loved being the only child, but it started to get boring and I felt like
something was missing. I found out what was missing was a younger sibling,
specifically a little sister. I could not wait to play Barbies with her, do her hair,
paint her nails, and just having someone I could talk to and play with, because
mom and dad were getting boring. Every night and morning I would pray for a baby

is famously known for writing hymns, she wrote more than 9,000 hymns, and some
are still sung to this day. Due to the number of hymns she wrote, she had to create an

a dream, a friend of hers, who seemed to be close to her death, asked her, Will you
meet me in heaven? even though her friend was in great health. This dream stuck to
Fanny, and more importantly the question stuck to her the most. It was when she and
her companions began to sing the hymn At the Cross , did she give her life to God.
After this, she joined the Old John Street Methodist church.
Fanny collaborated with many musicians to put song into her poems. Musicians
would come to Fanny with a song and ask her to give them words. To Reverend
Robert Lowry s music, she wrote a well known hymn All the Way my Saviour
Leads Me . Fanny collaborated with Mrs E. L. Knapp twice and wrote, Nearer the

her to write the hymn Rescue the Perishing .

(Walmart, 2012) The company announced a $750 million, 73 store expansion plan in
early 2012. A. Country Competitiveness A large multinational company such as
Walmart experiences different opportunities and challenges in the countries in which
it does business. Walmart being the largest retailer in the world, must adapt to varying
business environments. Canada s competitiveness relative to Walmart s expansion is
viewed through Porter s diamond framework. Country Level Determinants The
passage of NAFTA represented an enticing opportunity for Walmart to capitalize on
the discount store industry, of which only Zellers and K Mart had a presence in.
NAFTA also paved the road for Walmart s expansion into Canada. The agreement had
the intention of creating job and economic growth as well as eliminating tariffs and
controls on goods transported amongst the three countries. This phenomenon of
internationalization created openness and capability for Walmart to capitalize on
goods production in one country, followed by movement and sales in the other.
Moreover, currency valuation in present day represents an opportunity for retailers to
expand into the Canadian market. Due to the strong Canadian dollar, the economic
conditions are enticing for any retailer looking to expand a key reason why Target has

Call Of The Wild As A Zeitgeist Analysis
The Call of the Zeitgeist
Jack London s The Call of the Wild is a novel written during the literary era of
Naturalism. It is about a pampered dog, Buck, who was thrown into the Alaskan
wilderness and becomes part of a team of sled dogs. Eventually, he becomes the
leader of a wolf pack. Naturalism takes place during a time in America known as the
Gilded Age. During the Gilded Age, the ideas of Social Darwinismtake hold. Social
Darwinism is a term scholars use to describe the practice of misapplying the
biological evolutionary language of Charles Darwin to politics, the economy, and
society ( Social Darwinism in the Gilded Age ). But how is London s novel a
zeitgeist of Naturalism? Jack London s The Call of the Wild is a zeitgeist of
Naturalism with its usage of Atavism, and a key ideology of Social Darwinism,
which is the survival of the fittest.
As mentioned before, London s novel is about Buck, who lives a comfortable life
on a Californian estate. However, Buck gets kidnapped by a gardener, so that he
could pay off his gambling debts, and sold to Alaskan sled drivers. When he
arrives in Alaska, a friend he made on the trip over, is killed horrifically when she
attempts to befriend a dog who attacks her. Another dog, Spitz, laughs at her death
and develops a rivalry with him. Over the course of the novel he starts to subvert
Spitz s command and ultimately fights him, winning and becoming the leader of
his sled team. However, the sled team gets new drivers by inexperienced people
joining the search for gold. Their inexperience causes some dogs to die from
exhaustion. On one trail, a man, John Thornton, tells the drivers that the ice is
dangerous because it is too thin. They refused to listen to him, but Buck was too
tired to move, causing one of the drivers to start clubbing him. Despite Buck s
beatings, he refused to get up, resulting in Thornton stepping in and taking him,
saving him from death. A new dog is put in place as leader and they move on the
trail, but they fall through the ice and into the frigid river where they presumably
die. Under Thornton s ownership, Buck has nothing much to do, save for small
tasks, as Thornton is busy prospecting for gold. It is during this time that call of the

Throughout his lifetime he ruled most of Florence with his younger brother Giuliano
from 1469 1478. Lorenzo De Medici was born on January 1st,1449 in Florence, Italy.
He grew up to be average height and he had short legs. He had dark hair but his
brother was described as handsome and outgoing, however Lorenzo was so full of
dignity that no one paid close attention to his looks. Lorenzo de Mediciwas the son of

He grew up practicing jousting, hawking hunting, and horse racing. At age 19 in
1469 Lorenzo won his first jousting tournament sponsored by the Medici. As
Lorenzo got older he went on missions. Piero father sent him on these missions that
were very diplomatic and important, including trips to Rome to meet the pope and
other religious and political figures. Lorenzo was the type of person who groomed
for power. He got a leading role in 1469 when his father died. He was crowned king
and he was just twenty years old. Lorenzo focused greatly on bank during his rule
because his grandfather drained him to be successful because of his fathers
terrible mismanagement and because Lorenzo s father couldn t properly fix it.
During Lorenzo s ruling he created a Council of Seventy that he hoped would be
more manageable then past issues. By doing so he slowly reached the status he
was refusing. Before his career started falling apart he was a very successful patron,
a person who gives financial or offers support to others. For instance he offered help
to scholars, artists, and poets. Lorenzo emerged from the conflict with greatly
increased prestige. From then on he was considered the Wise, the
The National Youth Advocate Program
The organization that I would like to pursue once I have completed my degree is
with Seven Counties. They are based in Louisville, Kentucky and offer many
services to aid children and families in need. I believe in what they stand for and
their vision for the community. Seven counties believe that every life matters and,
if you can t overcome it alone we can overcome it together. (Seven Counties). I did
research other agencies within the area such as the National Youth Advocate
Program. I believe in their values but, I like the fact that the agency I chose works
with a broader range of issues. Another agency I researched was Communicare
Services. This particular agency offers direct case management to their clients.
Communicare is an agency that I have considered however, they too do not offer the
same services as Seven Counties. Seven counties collaborates with many outside
resources to better serve the community. They provide services in seven different
counties around Kentucky. They have services that adhere to children and families
in areas such as child and family behavioral health, prevention, substance abuse and
addiction, and developmental services. They also have crisis counselors on site 24
hours a day to help in an emergency. I like how the agency collaborates with the
community to help serve their clients. I believe that every individual is different with
different needs. Seven counties try to reach every client

Alienation in the Lives of Chief Bromden and Holden Caulfield
As one is experiencing a life of alienation and loneliness, they may being to act
uncontrollable while rebelling against their surroundings, one loses themselves as
they feel different than everyone present. Alienation can force an individual to spiral
into an abyss of nothingness, nonetheless if one allows others to reach out and
inspire than it is possible to break away from the alienation and loneliness. Chief
Bromden from the novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest, written by Ken Kesey, is
an Indian who was institutionalized for insanity and is considered a chronic in the
ward as he is too far gone to be healed. Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the
Rye, written by J.D Salinger is a lying, rebellious teenager sent away by his parents
to a private school as they are unable to handle Holden s behaviour. It is evident both
experience alienation as their stories progress and actions taken, however the
individuals present in their lives motivate changes in the outcomes of these dynamic
characters.
Firstly, the prominent motif in One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest is invisibility,
Chief Bromden was seen as invisible in his childhood as well as on the ward. Once
as a child on the reserve with his family, a group of appraisers trespassed onto the
Bromden family land while Bromden was outside completing daily chores, the group
proceeded to insult

  • 2. The Unpredictable Past Summary The Unpredictable Past This book contains fourteen different essays that Levine uses to convey his personal outlook on American cultural history and to establish his view that historians should broaden their scope of research to include important elements of history that have relatively been completely ignored. His essays are extremely well written and express a deep understanding of the subject that they pertain to. Levine covers topics that most historians have shied away from or determined were not of importance to historyas a whole due to a variety of reasons including political factors, race and ethnicity, or were lacking the ability to fully understand the significance of certain aspects of cultural history during the respective timeperiod associated with each essay. The Unpredictable Pastgives new insight into America s past and opens up a new train of thought that shows how dynamic cultural history really is when looked at through a different lens.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The issues that people had with old historiographies were that they weren t complex enough and lacked comprehension of cultural aspects. They rarely strayed from the political or economic topics and never discussed important cultural avenues. Levine talks of synthesis in historical writing but deems this as a way to dismiss the introduction of new subject matter into history. He, on the contrary, wishes for the expansion of subjects in history and feels there has been too much neglect on cultural aspects and the importance that it offers to understanding the past as it really was. Levine believes historians need to increase their tolerance and acceptance of the complexities of the past as well as the historian profession in order to effectively and accurately write about the
  • 3. How Is Wordsworth Influenced By William Wordsworth Wordsworth is an high English poet and an establishing member of the Romantic Movement in the English literature. He lived and wrote at the period between 1770 1850 which is the golden era of romanticism . Like other Romantics, Wordsworth poetry and personality also were greatly influenced by his love for the nature, especially by the spectacles and views of the Lake Country area, where he spent most of his life in nature. Wordsworth is sincere thinker; he showed high tenderness and a love of nature and simplicity. Two persons affected him personally and literary, his sister Dorothy and the great romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It says that even when you are by yourself and lonely and missing your friends, you can use your imagination to fine new friends in the world around you. As John Milton famously wrote, The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of Hell, and a hell of Heaven. The speaker of this poem makes a heaven out of a windy day and a bunch of daffodils. His happiness does not last forever he s not that unrealistic but the daffodils give him a little boost of joy whenever he needs it, like recharging his batteries. In conclusion, William Wordsworth is one of the best romantic poets; actually he established the romanticism in the English literature. Now, we can say that the poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud is the pest representation of romantic poetry. It contains most of the characteristics of good romantic poetry. • 4. Whey Protein Research Paper In the world of protein you will find that there are 4 primary types available with each having its own unique set of benefits and problems. Below, I am going to discuss the different types and how they should and shouldn t be used. Whey Protein Whey protein is by and large the most popular and arguably the best type of protein and/or supplement on the market today. Often called the gold standard of protein, whey is a total protein meaning it contains all of the necessary amino acids due to its Branched chain amino acids structure (BCAA s). BCAA s are naturally occurring molecules (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) that the body uses to build proteins. The term branched chain refers to the molecular structure of these particular amino ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Studies have demonstrated that casein protein can sustain the body with a regular supply of amino acids for at least seven hours, making casein the most anabolic protein, even more than whey. The rationale behind this is really because casein forms a gel in acidic environments like the stomach, and so releases a steady supply of amino acids into the bloodstream, permitting your body to remain anabolic. Since casein is kind of a slow digesting protein, consuming 30 50 grams before bed will stop catabolism while you re asleep. You may also consume casein protein across the day, just never after a workout. Post workout protein should be soaked up fast into the bloodstream, making casein a particularly bad choice. Casein protein can be taken pre workout as well, but this would not be the best use. A better pre workout shake would be to mix together a blend of casein and whey protein, thus permitting you to drink it inside thirty minutes of your workout. Milk contains over 80% casein protein, so mixing whey protein with milk will not only make your shake taste better but it will give you a make shift time release formula, effective straight away and sustaining for hours to come. Also, mixing your casein with milk before bed will ensure you stay anti catabolic across the

Russian Imperialism Nicholas Wheeler Mrs. Powell English 1010 November 5, 2015 The Coals of Russian Imperialism Still Smolder on Ukrainian Soil Ukraine, once a totalitarian state in the USSR, is now being ravaged by civil war. This war has been fought between Ukrainian Nationalist and Pro Russian supporters in the Donbass region. This rising unrest can be traced back to the Russian ties that run deep in its Government. This Russian influence is being used by President Putin to incite Rebellion in the eyes of Ukrainians, and it all starts with Ukrainian politics of party groups Svoboda and The Party of Regions Because of Soviet totalitarianism, Ukrainians hold little patriotism for their own nationalism. That is why, Since gaining its independence in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They have made it this far in this war with the help of the Russian motherland. One prime example of this is the funding of their military training. They have obtained the support through the Russian Orthodox Church and have been trained by pro Russian military groups. Along with training they also have the reinforcements of Russian mercenaries though, Ukrainians say have some pretty rustic tactics (London Evening Standard, Pit) This war has ruined the Ukrainian economy and the value of Ukrainian dollar has fallen over 50 percent. (Kim) Along with the reduction of the dollar, the rebel groups have stopped or slowed the production in their control of the Donbass. A prime example of this instance is in Maripul, a city on the outskirts of the Donetsk region. Maripul relies on two steel mills for its production, and since the war has started they have only been able to run at 70 percent capacity. Along with a failing economy, the Ukrainians have little to match the newer weaponry of the Russian. Ukrainians have been armed with soviet era grenades and machine guns. They are so bad off that most of their supplies come from donations from the citizens of Ukraine. This is little compared to the 250 tanks,400 armored vehicles and 1,900 trucks moving into Donbass
  • 8. The Jacksonville Axemen Is A Semi Professional Rugby... The Jacksonville Axemen is a semi professional rugby league team that competes in the summer, out of the University of North Florida s Hodges Stadium. The Axemen are one of fourteen teams that compete in the USA Rugby League, USARL. It is a small organization with a staff of seven that saw its beginning in 2006, and has been one of the most competitive teams in its league. Based on my research of the organization, I could not determine any policies that the organization actually had in place. This is in part due to the small nature of the staff so they do not have an employee handbook that would contain policies regarding code of conduct. When I spoke with Drew Slover, the co founder/co owner/General Manager of the Axemen, he said, because of the size of the organization we do not have a set of policies. We do have an Emergency Action Plan though (personal communication, 2015). An Emergency Action Plan is an important piece to an organization, because it can save them from a lawsuit but it is not the only necessity. In order for an organization to be successful as a business, it is important for the leaders to set a variety of policies so that all reasonable and foreseeable scenarios can have a plan of action. This is truer for sport organizations than regular businesses because we open our business as entertainment for everyone to see, which invites criticism of every action. Not having policies can be detrimental to the image of the organization and bring on a
  • 9. Anatomy of the Female Reproductive System Anatomy of the Female Reproductive System The reproductive role of the female is far more complex than that of a male. Not only must she produce gametes, but her body must prepare to nurture a developing embryo for a period of approximately nine months. Ovaries, the female gonads, are the primary reproductive organs of a female, and like the male testes, ovaries serve a dual purpose: They produce the female gametes (ova) and sex hormones, the estrogens * and progesterone (pro ges′tД• rЕЌn). The accessory ducts (uterine tubes, uterus, and vagina) transport or otherwise serve the needs of the reproductive cells and a developing fetus. Each uterine tube is about 10 cm (4 inches) long and extends medially from the region of an ovary to empty into the superolateral region of the uterus via a constricted region called the isthmus (is′mus). The distal end of each uterine tube expands as it curves around the ovary, forming the ampulla; fertilization usually occurs in this region. The ampulla ends in the infundibulum (in″fun dib′u lum), an open, funnel shaped structure bearing ciliated, fingerlike projections called fimbriae (fim′bre e; fringe ) that drape over the ovary. Unlike the male duct system, which is continuous with the tubules of the testes, the uterine tubes have little or no actual contact with the ovaries. An ovulated oocyte is cast into the peritoneal cavity, and many oocytes are lost there. However, the uterine tube performs complex movements to capture oocytes it bends to drape over the ovary while the fimbriae stiffen and sweep the ovarian surface. The beating cilia on the fimbriae then create currents in the peritoneal fluid that tend to carry an oocyte into the uterine tube, where it begins its journey toward the uterus. The uterine tube contains sheets of smooth muscle, and its thick, highly folded mucosa contains both ciliated and nonciliated cells. The oocyte is carried toward the uterus by a combination of muscular peristalsis and the beating of the cilia. Nonciliated cells of the mucosa have dense

Studying in Oxford allowed for a unique, more relatable experience to history and the literature discussed in the course. Oxford, being one of the oldest, most prestigious institutions in the world, generated an atmosphere that my classmates and I couldn t experience in Geneseo, one we may never have the chance to experience again. From the history, to the architecture, to the students and culture it is unparalleled to our education here in the US. The historical significance England has, not only with the USA, but the entire world made the trip invaluable. Learning in the same place as influential philosophers like John Locke, as well as the significance of Oxford in Thomas Hardys Jude the Obscure, creates a special connection to the text I would have nowhere else. Not only was academic aspect enlightening but also social aspects like traveling and meeting locals as well. This program put academics and life in a different context, something I m grateful I took advantage of. Class itself was different from any class I ve taken in Geneseo, from the room to the bond I shared with my classmates and professors throughout the trip. The environment, along with other factors, created a more fulfilling academic experience, one I had yet to experience until this trip. Lectures and discussions became a thing I was excited to listen and participate in. Class, in general, was more engaging despite the

Gender Dysphori A Controversial Mental Disorder Gender Dysphoria Katlynn Tolley Gender Dysphoria is a controversial mental disorder that affects the medical, social, and personal aspects of the lives of many people. There is no definite known cause that is agreed upon in the medical field. Research is still underway to determine causes of Gender Dysphoria as well as effective treatment options and ways to increase the quality of life for people diagnosed with it. Gender Dysphoria, or GD, is a condition in which an individual feels like their biological sex does not correspond with the gender they feel comfortable identifying as. To understand the disorder, you must first understand the meaning of the words. Gender is the state of being male or female (Merriam Webster). Dysphoria is a synonym for dissatisfaction. Therefore, Gender Dysphoria means the individual is dissatisfied, or uncomfortable, with being either a biological male or a biological female. In the past, Gender Dysphoria used to be called Gender Identity Disorder (Web MD). Another name is Transvestic Fetishism (Britannica). Signs of Gender Dysphoria can become apparent in childhood. Younger children may dislike toys and activities for children their age that line up with their biological sex. It was told by the lead Archaeologist of the Jamestown Rediscovery Project, William M. Kelso, published by the University of Virginia Press in, 2006. Kelso tells the journey of this twelve year project of discovering Jamestownin preparation for the 400th anniversary back in 2007. On May 27, 1607 a battle broke out between the English and about two hundred natives in which eleven English men died. This incident unfortunately forecasts the tragic future of Euro American Native American Relations (Kelso 2006:16). Not only was this a traumatic time for the English it was also a wake up call to further fortified the camp and to be enclosed with palisades. According to George Percy James Fort was complete on June 15th in a triangular shape of about two acres with three bulwarks. This was not an easy task for these men. They had to dig a nine hundred foot trench, along with cutting down and hauling tree that could have easily have weight about eight hundred pounds all while having Native Americans shooting at them (Kelso 2006:16). It is thought that the Virginia Indians played a role in the location and survival of Jamestown. The English were in Powhatan s territory, and the island had a natural defense from their enemies making it the safest place to be, even if it was not a geographically ideal location. Powhatan was considered one of the most powerful chiefs claiming to have over a hundred children. Powhatan died in 1618 and his brother, Opechancanough led an attack on the English in 1622 and 1644. Pocahontas would befriend John Smith and marry John Rolfe in 1613 resulting in a temporary peace between the Virginia Indians and the

Since self authorship often occurs at different points for students, I m also interested in the question you asked at the end of your reflection. I wonder if there any institutions that have had success in working with first and second year students to help them on their journey of self authorship? • 25. Analysis Of Get Up Stand Up By Bob Marley As previously discussed, we will concentrate our findings based on three communication concepts; empathy and empathic communication, self disclosure, emotions and social influences of emotion. The first communication concept relates to empathy and empathic communication, both Bob and Ziggy Marley display this throughout their music. Empathy defined by Julia T. Wood, is the ability to feel with another person, to feel what she or he feels in a situation. Our feelings tend to be guided by our own emotional tendencies and experiences (78). In the fullest sense, this implies putting yourself into the other person s shoes, to experience their life, so that you really understand and feel; pain, anger, frustration, joy, spiritual uplift and happiness. Bob Marleyis empathetic in nature, he is someone who appears to speak for the people. It is his music, his life story, his worldview and the way he carries himself he seems like an extension of the people and their leader. He seems like a sort of Cultural Senator, a man who represents his people (Toure 2017). Bob Marley expresses empathy throughout his song Get Up Stand Up, by giving us examples of what life was like in the 1960 s in Jamaica. Paying close attention to the words and the connotations associated with those words, we can get an idea to what was going on during that era. From the beginning, reggae was political, as the work of Bob clearly attests. When he chants, Get up Stand up Stand up for your rights! you can feel how important this issue is to him. By translating this one lyric, you can imagine the details of his experiences and the emotions associated with them. The lyrics of this song relates to the struggles and inequality of the society and the harsh realities of a post independent Jamaica. Nearly the entire song has a political slant to it in some shape or form. The political unrest which was taking place at the time was extremely intense, this song urged people to raise and stand up and fight for their rights and to be proactive. Ziggy Marley sings a different tune, this is due to the era he was brought up in and how he was raised. With his father s royalties, Ziggy had a different upbringing than Bob did. He didn t grow up

During the process, constructors made sure to make the Titanic as attractive as possible, accessorizing it with many iconic features such as the ship s grand staircase and its promenade deck. Many people at the time believed that the Titanic would never sink, therefore naming it the Unsinkable ship after it has set sail. Unfortunately, the unsinkable ship collided with an icebergon April 14, 1912, claiming the lives of 1,500 passengers. As a result, the Titanic broke into two and sunk, leaving behind its legacy. Thomas Hardy provides a poem that acknowledges the sinking of the Titanic. Unlike the many similar reactions of grief and sorrow that the people had, Hardy approaches the event differently. In the poem, The Convergence of the Twain, Thomas Hardy uses a variety of rhetorical devices to express his disdain for the vanity of humans during the first half of the poem and to explain that fate s work resulted in the outcome of the Titanic during the second half of the poem. Throughout the first five stanzas of the poem, Hardy utilizes allusion, juxtaposition, and alliteration to emphasize the idea that the excessive pride of humans is useless and it has led to the downfall of the Titanic. Therefore, Hardy provides insight on the vanity of those that built the ship. He describes the people as the Pride of Life. The description alludes to the book of John in the Christian Bible.

Many of these animals are suffering with diseases and possibly growing tumors the size of their bodies. Worldwide, 24 animals die every minute in laboratories. Every year, 100 million animals die from such test. These tests are unethical, unnecessary, and is bad science. For those unfamiliar with heavy metal, it is easy to make this correlation because of the darker and often taboo subject matter present throughout the music. With a little more analysis, however, it can be discovered that these same aspects thought to be negative actually bring forth positive results among metal listeners. What is found in heavy metal musicis actually a display of emotions and energy that often have a purging effect which helps listeners of metal cope with the constantly changing world around them. Heavy metal is used as a tool for expressing emotion in a nonviolent way, rather than through physical destruction sought by some other genres. Heavy metal is a lot like an experiment to the people who do not understand it or those who dislike it. They look at it as a disgrace, dissect it, run tests on it, and analyze the results in order to get ammunition to put it down. Researchers from the University of Queensland in Australia have found that when volunteers were exposed to extreme music genres including heavy metal, emo, hardcore, punk, and screamo, they actually experienced a range of positive feelings, such as calmness, happiness or being inspired. As each new unpredictable day arises, uncertainty fills the air, constantly swarming one s emotions and daily interactions. By acknowledging the two different types of uncertainties one may face in interpersonal communication, the Uncertainty Reduction Theory translates this information into three situational parameters that enhance people s desire to reduce such levels of uncertainty (Berger, 1975). The first condition is deviation, which claims that when an individual violates our expectations, we wish to reduce uncertainty as a way compensating for what we least expected. The second parameter is anticipation of future interaction, which means individuals seek to reduce uncertainty with someone whom he/she knows they may see again. And lastly, control over resources, or sometimes known as incentive value, explains that one wishes to reduce uncertainty because that individual has something you want or need (Knobloh, 2008). According to the Uncertainty Reduction Theory, if these three conditions apply to a situation, one will do almost anything in their power to make sense of who he/she is as an individual. Thus far, it has been well perceived that there are certain strategies and components that make up the preaching of the Uncertainty Reduction Theory. However, what actually is the Uncertainty Reduction Theory? In order to discover its roots and premises, one must trace back to its very first original form. The Uncertainty Reduction Theory began with the proposition that when strangers meet, their primary concern is one of uncertainty

Social Darwinism is a term scholars use to describe the practice of misapplying the biological evolutionary language of Charles Darwin to politics, the economy, and society ( Social Darwinism in the Gilded Age ). But how is London s novel a zeitgeist of Naturalism? Jack London s The Call of the Wild is a zeitgeist of Naturalism with its usage of Atavism, and a key ideology of Social Darwinism, which is the survival of the fittest. As mentioned before, London s novel is about Buck, who lives a comfortable life on a Californian estate. However, Buck gets kidnapped by a gardener, so that he could pay off his gambling debts, and sold to Alaskan sled drivers. When he arrives in Alaska, a friend he made on the trip over, is killed horrifically when she attempts to befriend a dog who attacks her. Another dog, Spitz, laughs at her death and develops a rivalry with him. Over the course of the novel he starts to subvert Spitz s command and ultimately fights him, winning and becoming the leader of his sled team. However, the sled team gets new drivers by inexperienced people joining the search for gold. Their inexperience causes some dogs to die from exhaustion. On one trail, a man, John Thornton, tells the drivers that the ice is dangerous because it is too thin. They refused to listen to him, but Buck was too tired to move, causing one of the drivers to start clubbing him. Despite Buck s beatings, he refused to get up, resulting in Thornton stepping in and taking him, saving him from death. A new dog is put in place as leader and they move on the trail, but they fall through the ice and into the frigid river where they presumably die. Under Thornton s ownership, Buck has nothing much to do, save for small tasks, as Thornton is busy prospecting for gold. It is during this time that call of the wild

  • 54. The National Youth Advocate Program The organization that I would like to pursue once I have completed my degree is with Seven Counties. They are based in Louisville, Kentucky and offer many services to aid children and families in need. I believe in what they stand for and their vision for the community. Seven counties believe that every life matters and, if you can t overcome it alone we can overcome it together. (Seven Counties). I did research other agencies within the area such as the National Youth Advocate Program. I believe in their values but, I like the fact that the agency I chose works with a broader range of issues. Another agency I researched was Communicare Services. This particular agency offers direct case management to their clients. Communicare is an agency that I have considered however, they too do not offer the same services as Seven Counties. Seven counties collaborates with many outside resources to better serve the community. They provide services in seven different counties around Kentucky. They have services that adhere to children and families in areas such as child and family behavioral health, prevention, substance abuse and addiction, and developmental services. They also have crisis counselors on site 24 hours a day to help in an emergency. I like how the agency collaborates with the community to help serve their clients. I believe that every individual is different with different needs. Seven counties try to reach every client

Alienation can force an individual to spiral into an abyss of nothingness, nonetheless if one allows others to reach out and inspire than it is possible to break away from the alienation and loneliness. Chief Bromden from the novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest, written by Ken Kesey, is an Indian who was institutionalized for insanity and is considered a chronic in the ward as he is too far gone to be healed. Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye, written by J.D Salinger is a lying, rebellious teenager sent away by his parents to a private school as they are unable to handle Holden s behaviour. It is evident both experience alienation as their stories progress and actions taken, however the individuals present in their lives motivate changes in the outcomes of these dynamic characters. Firstly, the prominent motif in One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest is invisibility, Chief Bromden was seen as invisible in his childhood as well as on the ward. Once as a child on the reserve with his family, a group of appraisers trespassed onto the Bromden family land while Bromden was outside completing daily chores, the group proceeded to insult
