Did you know that 33% of teen deaths are caused by traffic accidents? Most teens that die in traffic

Coal mining has caused cracking in creek beds and some damage to the surrounding slopes and
rocks. Stream flows have been altered by cracking which result in alterations in aquatic habitats
and affect on linked species. In worst scenarios, stream cracking can produce water loss.
Alkaline conditions and a negative effect on flora and fauna can be triggered by management
trails using coal wash waste. More importantly, they neglected the importance of the Sky, Land
and Sea to the Dharawal People, all the elements of the natural world, the earth, the sea and the
sky are aspects of the unique relationship that all Aboriginal people have with the world. These
parts all make up the idea of Country . (Bursill, L., Jacobs, M., Lennis, D., Timbery Beller, B.,
Ryan, M., 2007) The area incorporates a landscape rich in Indigenous sites, including axe grinding

Jeff Harold The Future
The first piece of art we will be looking at was done by Jeff Harold. It is called The Future and is
a black and white photograph taken on 2015. It is 19.5 inches by 13 inches displayed in the
gallery at The College of Lake County. The back and white photo is of what appears to be either
a bridge or possibly train tracks which is centered in the photo. The perspective of the
photograph is from under the bridge looking down the length of it. The bridge is resting on a
cement path the fallows the bridge out into what seems to be water and fog which appears on
either side of the cement path. This work is a great example of lines, because it has many going

It is located on the staircase leading up to the library. It is a large piece scanning a great area of the
wall. I am using this piece to discuss the visual element of color, because the work itself contains
many colors. The work has variously sized rectangles with ones near the top of the painting being
horizontal and smaller, the the rectangles under are all larger and vertical. The colors within
these rectangles are not a flat color. They color is sponged on with varying hues of the same
color creating a marbled appearance utilizing tones and shades to create this look. The colors are
muted. Some of the colors within these paintings are pink, yellow, purple, red, brown, white, gray,
and teal. However, the two largest rectangles are colored in black and
