Mexico Trade Agreements
Trade agreements will always help countries like Mexico. NAFTA by itself increased the economy of
Mexico significantly by itself. The auto industry has taken off, skills have improved and
manufacturing has increased and not just low skilled factory jobs (Beltrame, 2013). With increasing
manufacturing, the export of Mexican goods have increased as well. The value of Mexican goods
exported to the United States grew from $39.9 billion in 1993 to $210.8 billion in 2007, an increase of
437 percent (Sommer, 2008). At the beginning of the deal Mexico had the smallest economy out of the
three. Now the Mexican economy is on par with Canada, allowing for an increase in Middle Class in
Mexico. As you can see Trade agreements allow Mexico to increase productivity, allowed skills to
improve and export more products. When America invested more into Mexico, the Gross Domestic
Product increased by 50 percent (Sommer, 2008). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of the negatives of Trade agreements are loss of jobs. While one country exports the other
exports. The country that imports is replacing domestic products with foreign ones. Meaning that they
only produce products to export and not to stay in the country. This causes people to lose jobs. The
negative effects that trade agreements have had on manufacturing sector and this one is estimated to
displace 159,000 jobs and increase our trade deficit with Korea by $16.7 billion (Keith, 2011). With
jobs being lost by the importing countries, and increasing jobs in the exporting country it creates a
deficit. While one country gains jobs and money the other creates a deficit for itself. International
Trade agreements don t have one clear cut winner, they have Winners and

The Imperfect Process Of Campus Sexual Assault Adjudication
The Imperfect Process of Campus Sexual Assault Adjudication It s a statistic that has circled around
the nation for years, one that imprints fear into the minds of young adults and rage into those that
demand justice: 1 in 5 female college students will experience sexual assault in the duration of their
college career (Clark), with only 20% of those rapes being reported to the police (Hefling). As a topic
that is so highlighted in American society, there is a strict demand for an organized, thorough
investigation that will result in justice served. Controversy regarding whether the colleges themselves
or the criminal justice system should adjudicate the punishment for these vile crimes has arisen; some
believe that as an actual crime, these assaults should be taken in a legal stance in order to serve justice
at its fullest extent. Others believe that determining punishment through the court system is too nerve
wracking for the victims and that by allowing colleges to do so is the only way they can avoid feeling
skepticism by the police, juries, or courts (Know Your IX). However, when juxtaposing the
capabilities of the colleges and the court system when it comes to the adjudication process, it is
evident that the courts are more competent in determining punishments for campus sexual assaults. It
has been argued that colleges are more equipped for attending to the emotional well being of campus
sexual assault victims. Title IX, a federal gender equity law passed in 1972

Analysis Of The Article The Fox News Network
In late September, the Fox News Network published an article calling into question the intentions of a
West Point cadet after he wore a sombrero to a football game against the University of Texas at El
Paso. In the article, Activist cries foul after West Point fan wears sombrero at game near Mexican
border, author Lucia Suarez Sang comments on the outcry that ensued from the Hispanic community
after a picture of the cadet was posted on the Academy s Facebook page. Was it inappropriate for the
cadet to wear the sombrero? Was the Academy at fault for posting the photo? Can and should we
protect others from feelings and emotions that are a result of politically incorrect expression? Cultural
sensitivity is becoming an increasingly popular topic in media, on college campuses, and in the
military. We now live in a world where the language we use is under such scrutiny that some are
discouraged from expressing their true opinions for fear of being blackballed by their peers. Not only
does political correctness limit free speech, it also fundamentally transforms the way we think by
avoiding the topics that some simply do not want to discuss. Political correctness is raising serious
questions at West Point, impacting students attending other colleges, and influencing individuals post
graduation. Was the cadet misguided in his decision to wear the sombrero? Had it been a civilian, the
answer would be significantly more straightforward. The First Amendment to the Constitution

Essay about Child Development, Nature vs Nurture
.
The nature versus nurture debate is one of the oldest issues in psychology. The debate centers on the
relative contributions ofgenetic inheritance and environmental factors to human development. Some
philosophers such as Plato and Descartes suggested that certain things are inborn, or that they simply
occur naturally regardless of environmental influences. Other well known thinkers such as John Locke
believed in what is known as tabula rasa, which suggests that the mind begins as a blank slate.
According to this notion, everything that we are and all of our knowledge is determined by our
experience.
For example, when a person achieves tremendous academic success, did they do so because they are
genetically predisposed to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Babies begin to take in sensory experiences from the world around them from the moment of birth,
and the environment will continue to exert a powerful influence on behavior throughout life.
Geneticscan have a powerful influence on development, but experiences are equally important. For
example, while the genetic code contains the information on how a child s brain may be pre wired, it
is learning and experience that will literally shape how that child s brain grows and develops.
Final ThoughtsClearly, genetics have an enormous influence on how a child develops. However, it is
important to remember that genetics are just one piece of the intricate puzzle that makes up a child s
life. Environmental variables, including parenting, culture, education and social relationships also play
a vital role.
Nature versus Nurture is a popular debate about whether our genetics, or environmental influences
mold more of who we are. An example is whether you get your out going personality because of your
DNA, or because you grew up in an environment that made you out going. Nature is your genes,
Nurture is environmental influences.Read more:

Statistical Handling Data Coursework on High School Students
Statistical Handling Data Coursework: High School For this handling statistical data coursework I will
be investigating the heights and weights of students of years 7 to 11 in High School. Although this is a
fictitious school the data is based on a real school. I will look for a trend in the heights and weights of
the students to see if the taller they are, the more they weigh. This is my hypothesis. My Null
hypothesis is that there is no correlation between height and weight, and my Alternative hypothesis is
that there is strong, positive correlation between them. I will then investigate the heights of boys in
years 7 and compare them to the girls, and then do the same in year 11. I will then be able to compare
these two sets ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Height and weight is continuous data so only some graphs and calculations can be done. I have
decided to select a sample size of 100 students because 1183 students are too many. I won t be able to
compare the data well since I will have such a wide range of results. I also won t be able to fit all the
information on one graph or one box plot making the comparison even more difficult. I will be able to
cope with 100 students heights and weights better. In order to get a sample of 100 students, I will take
a stratified sample of each year group, and then of each gender within the year groups. I will use
stratified sampling because using this I can get a fair sample that is proportional and to the ratio of the
original number of students within each year group out of the whole school. Once I have my stratified
sample of each year group, I will use random sampling to choose which of the students I will take my
data from. This is a fair way of sampling due to the fact that there will be no biased decision as to who
is picked for their data. The following data is what I will use in order to take a stratified sample of 100
students: Year Group Number of Boys Number of Girls Total 7 151 131 282 8 145 125 270 9 118 143
261 10 106 94 200 11 84 86 170 Total 604 579 1183 To take a stratified sample of the year groups I
will do the following calculations: Year Group Calculation Total (answer) 7 (282/1183) x 100 = 24 8

Henri Mintzbergs Model On Organizational Structures
Mintzbergs Model on Organisational Structures
The Five Parts
This note summarises the key features of Henri Mintzbergs theory on the structuring of organisations,
which he presented in his book The Structuring of Organisations and Structure in 5 s: Designing
Effective Organizations in the early 1980s.
According to Mintzberg organisations are formed of five main parts:
Operating core
Those who perform the basic work related directly to the production of products and services
Strategic apex
Charged with ensuring that the organisation serve its mission in an effective way, and also that it serve
the needs of those people who control or otherwise have power over the organisation

Machine bureaucracy type structures are performance organizations not problem solving ones.
Professional Bureaucracy
The professional bureaucracy relies for coordination on: * the standardization of skills and its
associated parameters such as design, training and indoctrination. * In professional bureaucracy type
structures duly trained and indoctrinated specialists professionals are hired for the operating core, and
then considerable control over their work is given to them. * Most of the necessary coordination
between the operating professionals is handled by the standardization of skills and knowledge
especially by what they have learned to expect from their colleagues.
Whereas the machine bureaucracy generates its own standards the standards of the professional
bureaucracy originate largely outside its own structure (especially in the self governing association its
operators join with their colleagues from other professional bureaucracies). The professional
bureaucracy emphasizes authority of a professional nature or in other words the power of expertise .
The strategies of the professional bureaucracy are mainly developed by the individual professionals
within the organization as well as of the

Common Misconception Of The Brain s Five Stages Of Sleep
It is a common misconception that when we fall asleep, our brains go to sleep as well. This is most
definitely not the case. Our brain is hard at work while we sleep; making memories, cleansing toxins,
and many other activities. When falling asleep, our brains go through multiple stages, from triggering
a loss in consciousness to highly erratic activity. Sleeping has five stages to it, the first being the state
between wakefulness and sleep. This stage is often referred to as drowsy sleep due to the muscles in
the body still being fairly active and the eyes roll around a bit. In this stage the brainwaves transition
from erratic beta and gamma waves, which is the normal range of brain wavelengths when the body is
awake, to less erratic alpha ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The brain activity during REM sleep is mainly mixed brain waves consisting of theta, alpha and beta
waves. This is also the point in a sleep cycle where the body is basically rigid. The brain has shut off
all muscle movements other than the ones that keep you alive. This stage is a prime example of how
the brain is busy while we are sleeping, REM sleep begins with signals from an area at the base of the
brain called the pons. These signals travel to a brain region called the thalamus, which relays them to
the cerebral cortex the outer layer of the brain that is responsible for learning, thinking, and organizing
information. The pons also sends signals that shut off neurons in the spinal cord, causing temporary
paralysis of the limb muscles (Brain Basics). Being that REM sleep deals with learning, scientists
believe this is the reason infants sleep a large amount of time and also why they are more susceptible
to being woken up by the slightest noises. Since this stage of sleeping has a great deal of dreaming and
brain involvement some scientists believe that dreaming is the brain s way of sorting out information
it receives during sleep, creating a story out of what it gathers. REM sleep could be considered as a
work out for your brain, helping us to make sense of what we experience throughout our

Romeo And Juliet Compare And Contrast
The Shakespearean play of Romeo and Juliet have been interrelated into two main film versions by
the directors, Baz Luhrmann who adapted the 1996 version of Romeo + Juliet while Franco Zeffirelli
who directed the 1968 version of the iconic play. Although they use the same original script written by
Shakespeare, these two films are very different but both films look at the universal ideas of love and
conflict through the setting and plot. The setting of the two films were very contrasting as Luhrmann
has based his version of Romeo and Juliet at Verona Beach in America, he had his film based in the
20th century, with impressive mansions, expensive cars and fluorescent lights and guns instead of
swords. While Zeffirelli set his film in a traditional

Political Elites And Non Elites Among Nations
Many consider political elites to be the upper echelon of society and of our generation. Specifically,
political elites in many countries around the world, regardless of the type of government they possess,
have the influence, wealth, clout, and savvy to determine the outcome of elections in politics as well
as impact the lives of the general population, given their respective countries. Similar to the concept of
Communism, the select few comprised of the elite group in certain countries make the majority of the
decisions with no consequences or repercussions; regardless of how right or wrong that decision may
be. The separation of elites and non elites among nations is extremely staggering mainly due to the
fact that: the distribution of political power is skewed, leaders and elites are conscious of what they
possess politically, they are coherent within the realm of politics (i.e. economic status, defense
spending, campaign funding), conspire with one another when decision making, and they answer to no
one higher than them because of their status. Two primary examples of countries with political elites
present are China and Lebanon. Both countries, although they may not solely advocate such status, tie
in political elites with their respective forms of government (Communism for China) and forms of
religion (Confessionalism for Lebanon). Moreover, although both countries possess the capacity and
discipline to survive and thrive without the presence of political

I was born on February 14, 1993 in the city of La Vega, Dominican Republic. I came to New York at
the age of 10. The fact that my first language is Spanish placed me at a disadvantage from the minute I
stepped a foot in the United States since even at the airport I was not able to communicate with the
agent. My biggest struggle was school since the class was taught in English only and most of my
classmates only spoke English. Despite my efforts to give it my all to learn the language and adapt to
the customs of this unfamiliar place, it seemed to be a challenge I would never overcome. Since my
parents and close family members mostly spoke Spanish as well, they could not help me, they only
encouraged me to study and read a lot so that I would learn the language faster. I wanted to fit in with

such as Summer Heights High. In a perfect school everyone is treated equally and no one is abused
and offended, so learning about Summer Heights High can be used as a guide on what not to do, so
your child becomes more respectful and humble of where he is. Furthermore, we learn about the type
of satire on whether it is Horatian or Juvenalian and what this means. Additionally, how satire can be

Differences Between The Renaissance And Romantic Period...
British literature is constantly evolving. This became overwhelmingly apparent in the survey of
literature from the varying literary periods analyzed in English III. The reason for such is the ever
changing nation in which the authors lived. The stark differences in life during the Renaissance and
Romantic Era resulted in authors writing with the intention to convey different themes. Specifically,
one key theme of the Renaissance was the role of God in people s lives, which manifests itself in John
Donne s sermon Meditation 17 was well as John Milton s poem When I Consider How My Light Is
Spent. In the Romantic Era, one theme around which writers tended to focus was the beauty and
power of nature. This theme is overwhelmingly clear in William Wordsworth s poem The World Is
Too Much with Us and Percy Shelley s poem Ode to the West Wind. A theme nearly omnipresent in
the Renaissance was the role of God in people s lives. One major work it appears in is John Milton s
When I Consider How My Light Is Spent. In this sonnet, Milton reflects on his blindness and its
impact to his standing as a Christian. This is evident when he fondly asks, Doth God exact day labor,
light denied? In other words, he is asking God whether he still demands good works that may not be
possible to to his disability. The answer to such question is a clear no, as God doth not need... man s
work. Moreover, this murmur elaborates its position, that whoever best accepts life s burdens ( His

Artificial Intelligence Is An Idea That Machines Can Think...
Artificial Intelligence is an idea. An idea that machines can think and make decisions just as us
humans can. With an ever growing knowledge of technology, we have seen a major impact from
Artificial Intelligence and it will continue to impact our lives. One future impact of AI is its use in the
judicial system. Judicial systems exist all around the world, in one form or anther, each with different
laws and policies, but all judicial systems can be significantly impacted by AI. However, the question
that arises is on a moral and ethical basis, should AI be used in the judicial system? This issue brings
much controversy as to whether AI can effectively make correct decisions on its own based on the
evidence that has been presented to them and in which ways they are able to assist employees of the
judiciary system. AI actually already play a role in the judiciary process. They are used in evidence
and document research to make lawyers jobs much easier. I would suspect that AI use in data mining
for e discovery might be one of the most helpful advancements. This would include the ability to
examine data for contextual relevance (5 Questions On Artificial Intelligence). E discovery is a very
popular tool with lawyers as it is able to perform tedious tasks, making their job much more time
efficient. Artificial Intelligence has also begun making serious strides in systems that can notify and

Juice Vs. Green Tea
The data above proves both our hypothesis and prediction wrong. We hypothesized that the lemon
green tea would inhibit the growth of bacteria more than green tea. This is because along with having
catechins from the green tea, which interfere with bacterial membrane processes, the lemon green tea
had flavonoids from the lemon, which alter enzyme activity, and a low pH, inhibiting acid tolerance
and the formation of bacterial biofilm. In both of tests, the green tea solution created a larger zone of
inhibition than the green tea with lemon, which is why our hypothesis was wrong. The water was our
negative control, so it created no zone of inhibition and the beach was our positive control, so it
always had a zone of inhibition. From the both

One of the ways that youths in inner cities find stability in their unsafe neighborhoods is by following

follow this code of the street can be seen in the fourth season of The Wire. In one of the first episodes

POS 301: Principles and Articles of the United States Constitution Worksheet
Part I: Principles of the Constitution
The constitution consists of some primary principles. Briefly explain the following principles and their
significance in shaping American government.
Self Government:
Self Government is when the people of a country get to create their own rules and doesn t have outside
governments making decisions for them. This helped shape the American government by giving
citizens of our country the responsibility to and the right to have a say in the rules that are being
created.
Separation of Powers:
Separation of Powers is when the government shares power between the three branches which are
executive, legislative, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It creates spending bills they could also impeach those who are officials and approve treaties. The
people help elect the members Legislative branch. The Legislative branch has a House of
Representative and a Senate and them both together forms the United States. The House of
Representative has 435 members who are elected and the Senate has 100 Senators and there is 2 that
represent each state. When beginning the Legislative process, a bill has to be introduced to the
congress. After the bill is introduced it has to be sent to the Senate which are known as subcommittees
and House Committees. These committees could approve the bill, amend it or reject it. There are
hearings to make sure that there are no mistakes within the bill. A bill has to pass Congress before it is
taken to the President for review after this the committees come together to vote on more time rather
to approve, amend, or reject.
Judicial:
The Judicial branch helps individuals to understand the Constitution. It also reviews laws, and helps
make decisions on the rights of the states. Members of the of the Judicial branch or chosen by the
President and approved by the Senate. Judicial branch helps shape federal judiciary. Judicial branch
also has the power to organize courts that are over the supreme court which helped to organize the
United States district courts which deal with federal cases and appeal district court cases. The Judicial
branch helps make sure that

Research Report On Financial Reporting
Abstract
As the going concern issues in financial reporting: a guide for companies and directors (Australian
Institute of Company Directors, 2009) indicated, The going concern assumption is a fundamental
principle that underlies the preparation of the vast majority of financial reports (incorporated in the
annual reports) of Australian companies , the main purpose of this research report is aimed to
investigate the importance of going concern concept to both directors and the users of financial
reports. This report will focus on the problems that might rise from the absence of an appropriate
going concern, the recent unfavoured macro economy condition affect the audit opinion of a going
concern, and the importance of the going concern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is upon their discretion and the appropriateness of their use of going concern assumption is an
important matter considered by every auditing firm. Several financial reporting frameworks has a
clear requirement asking the management to create specific assessment of the entity s capability to
continue with their operations and as a going concern. Furthermore, the management is also required
to assess specific standards and disclosure to be made in relation with going concern. One specific
example is within IFRS or the International Financial Reporting Standards, and IAS or International
Accounting Standards. Below is the Presentation of Financial Statements or AASB 101 26:
In assessing whether the going concern assumption is appropriate, management takes into account all
available information about the future, which is at least, but is not limited to, twelve months from the
balance sheet date. The degree of consideration depends on the facts in each case. When an entity has
a history of profitable operations and ready access to financial resources, a conclusion that the going
concern basis of accounting is appropriate may be reached without detailed analysis. In other cases,
management may need to consider a wide range of factors relating to current and expected
profitability, debt repayment schedules and potential

Self-Destruction In Stephen Crane s Untitled
There is a strain between what is good for the body and the reality of human nature. Individuals know
mistakes will occur, but they do not understand how to nurture themselves. Because of this reality,
people tear themselves apart, thinking it is the reasonable reaction. In Stephen Crane s poem, Untitled,
symbolism and religious indicators illustrate the theme of self betrayal.
Firstly, nature is typically fruitful; however, a desert is the antipode of this definition. Most plants
cannot grow in the desert climate, creating a barren, unwelcoming environment; this is where Stephen
Crane places his poem. The naked, bestial (2) creature the narrator sees is the only other living object
in this desert, representing self destruction. Innate in one s being, self destruction sucks dry a once
blossoming environment, turning oneself into a hell or purgatory like habitat. Life is difficult, yet self
destruction makes one bitter. The heart is bitter bitter, (7) says the creature. Although a typical human
wouldn t know what a heart tastes like, the fact it is described as bitter puts the reader off. Rather ...

Given the creature is self destruction, the presence of the narrator illustrates one s contentment in
giving in to the process. Using the phrase my heart (10) creates the connection between the individual
and the destruction. Without the connection, one could distance oneselves from their exterior and their
interior. One can have power over this self hatred; however, I is simply watching as the creature ruins
the core of the body. The narrator tries to appeal to the creature by calling it friend, (6) but this is not
enough for it to stop eating the heart. Instead, the individual makes small talk. In a way, this appeal
demonstrates one s offering of self care. One s heart being the fruit of one s labor; the narrator gives
up. Primal and controlled beasts become one with the last

Joseph M. Colombe
The Rev. Joseph M. Colombe followed Father Pierre. He served from 1922 1937. He was born in
1885 in Quebec, Canada and became a naturalized citizen. His ministry was marked by involvement
in underserved populations in the parish. The economic struggles that marked Father Pierre s term
expanded. In January 1927, People s Bank was placed in receivership by the state and closed. In
February 1927, Celotex Co. of Westwego at a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff s Auction bought the
Terrebonne Sugar Refinery and plantations, and no crop was produced in 1927. Two other plantations
were idle without crops, which critically affected the community and the ability of the church to serve
the community. Father Colombe in one of his letters to the Bishop references a storm in 1926, which

The Giliasso was constructed by fastening together the twin steel hulls of two standard transportation
barges, leaving space in the middle for drilling. Towed to location, the lower compartments of the
hulls were flooded, sinking the barge to the bottom. The upper compartments remained above the
water and provided a platform to hold the drilling structures, equipment, and power plant. The
Giliasso demonstrated its drilling capabilities immediately in Lake Pelto, reducing by 20 percent the
time spent on a well not related to drilling or completing, and afterward proved its ease of mobility in
being towed to Lake Barré By 1935, Texaco had built and deployed a fleet of seven such barges along
the Louisiana coast, each drilling 6 wells per year. By 1938, the industry had drilled 3,300 wells in
parishes adjacent to the Gulf, 700 of which were surrounded by water. The most active areas were in
the Lake Barré, Terrebonne Bay, Pelto Bay, and Timbalier Bay areas of Terrebonne

Summary Of Id, Ego, And Superego In Fablehaven
The book series Fablehaven accurately portrays the three parts of the psychic apparatus, id, ego, and
superego, created by Sigmund Freud amongst the three main characters. Kendra, the first main
character introduced, represents the ego because at times she must determine to follow the rules and
play it safe or break the rules to help her family. Seth, the second main character introduced,
represents the id as he constantly acts on his own impulses without any regard to the rules which
usually lands him in trouble. The last main character introduced, Grandpa, represents the superego
since he always follow the rules of the preserve, as well as teaching them to Kendra and Seth, to
ensure the safety of them all from the fable creatures. Kendra, Seth, and Grandpa create perfect
examples of Sigmund Freud s id, ego, and superego.
Kendra, the first character revealed to the reader, demonstrates the psychic apparatus the ego by
representing the reason in situations that commonly occur between the Id and the Superego. The ego
must make a choice between listening to the id or following the superego. Depending on the situation,
if the ego sides with the id the superego can make the ego feel guilty. In the story Kendra, after
weighing the odds and letting her personal id get the better of her, decides to follow Seth into the
woods even though it stands against their grandfather s will. Upon the return of their sneaky adventure
they think that they made it back without anyone noticing they left; however, that night at dinner their
grandfather openly asks What do you suppose makes people so eager to break rules? (pg.59). Which
in turn made Kendra feel guilty. Kendra felt a jolt of guilt (pg.59). In Contrast, Kendra could also
represent the superego in place of the grandparents because she mostly follows the rules without
thoughts of breaking them. Unlike her little brother, Kendra was not a natural rule breaker (pg.53) and
If you don t get back in bed, warned Kendra, I m telling grandpa in the morning. (pg.167) represent
great supporting quotes from the text to offer significant support that Kendra could represent the
superego as well. With Kendras main personalities being her ego and superego it shows how rare

Comparing Political Party Coalitions Essay
Comparing Political Party Coalitions In the two party system, a political party is often defined as
simply a coalition of interests. In our system, any political party that hopes to win elections must build
a coalition of support to receive a majority vote. While the two party system is far from perfect, it
provides us with an interesting look into how wide ranging political parties gain support from
individuals that are commonly concerned with only one or a few issues. By looking at the Democratic
and Republican national websites, we can gain information on who these parties target, why they
target them, and the relative success of these efforts. In this short piece, I will examine both websites
and compare and contrast how Democrats ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also interesting is the fact that the RNC includes more categories (17) for issues than the DNC (12).
Overall, it seems that the RNC s website puts more emphasize on the people and groups than the DNC
s website. The RNC displayed their supporters right on their homepage with uplifting pictures and
links to what the GOP is doing and other information. In contrast, the DNC s website made it more
difficult to find groups of people. Located at the very bottom of the page and including 18 different
groups. Another interesting difference between the two was how they listed their groups. While the
DNC opted for an alphabetical ordering, the RNC placed RNC women at the top followed by GOP
Hispanics and Black Republican Activists and Asian Pacific Americans next. Also at the bottom of the
page where the groups are listed the RNC opted to order the list seemingly randomly with Black
Republican Activists at the top and Veterans and Military Families at the bottom. I think both of these
show the RNC is trying to relate to Blacks and minorities in general. Also, I believe it is important to
scrutinize the name the RNC gives these groups. Categories such as Black Republican Activists
speaks to the kind of people the RNC is trying to target with their website. The word activist instantly
brings up heroic figures and positive feelings. In contrast, the DNC seemed to use much more general
terms across all categories simply

Using A Sample Size Is Dependent On The Study Design
Research studies need not only start with efficient study design to address the hypothesis of the study
but also the determination of the appropriate number of participants that will be involved in the study.
It is true that the sample size is dependent on the study design, on statistical analysis used to answer
the study questions, and on the anticipated association between the outcome and the risk factor. The
sample size should not be too large as it wastes money and time both to the investigators and
participants in the study. It should not be too small as well because it may lead to inaccurate results
causing a waste of time and resources. In addition, participates in a large sample size may be exposed
to unnecessary risk. Therefore, careful attention should be taken while determining the appropriate
sample size for any study as it raises the question of ethical practices.
Any researcher should define the main objective of the study or the research question and the study
design before selecting a representative sample size. Then the proportion of participants, and the value
of the numbers to put in the formula is considered before determining the sample size. Kamangar
Islami (2013) states that the non statistical consideration in determining the sample size are the
availability of the fund, ethical issues, number of participants available, the novelty of the study, and
any similar studies being conducted etc. The investigators give the rationale why their study is

College Degree In College Essay
A college degree is not necessary to be successful. This sentence is something my family lives by,
neither of my parents graduated from college. Even though they did not graduate from college, they
are still successful and provide me with whatever I want. My brother went to college and never ended
up finishing getting his associates. The trend in my family is to not get a college degree but still end
up successful. I am going to break that trend by getting a college degree and becoming more
successful than them. They are right, you do not need a college degree to be successful, but getting
one can aid you in your success. College degrees will put you in front of someone else that does not
have one while trying to get a job. I am challenging their idea of college and am going to be more
successful than them.
My mother did not go to college at all because she was having a baby, but she now works as the
manager at Pontiac Electric Supply Company and she also works at Bernardis 2 and Pontiac Elks
Country Club. Being that she did not go to college, she has to work three jobs just so my brother and I
can have a great life. My dad attended Parkland Community College for about a year and a half. While
he was at Parkland he was playing basketball and then dropped out because he was going to have a
baby. He does not have a degree but he now works for H J Epple Construction. My brother is 21 and
has been going to school at Heartland Community College for 4 years. He works full

Raymond s Run By Squeaky Quotes
Raymond s Run Character Essay In the story Raymond s Run by Toni Cade Bambara, Squeaky, the
protagonist, is a young girl who is in charge of taking care of her handicapped brother, Raymond. She
will protect him and take charge of him if she senses danger. Squeaky proves to a memorable
character as I read the story. She has proven to be memorable because she is confident, protective, and
mostly because she is nonconformist.
The first reason why Squeaky is a memorable character is because she is a confident character. For
example, Squeaky will always say, There s no track meet I don t win the first place medal. This shows
Squeaky is confident about her running and anytime she is in a race she doesn t believe but, knows
that she is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My first piece of evidence to show this is when squeaky is talking to the girls on broadway, You got
anything to say to my brother you say it so me. Thus we can say that squeaky is protective character
when people try to talk to her brother and she tries to keep him away from all of the drama and not let
the girls get to him. MY second piece of evidence to show squeaky is protective is when she is at the
May Day races and put Raymond into a little swing even though it is a tight squeeze . This evidence
shows squeaky s protective side because she wants to put Raymond somewhere safe where he is out of
anyone s way and where she knows is a safe place fro Raymond. My last piece of evidence to show
squeaky is protective is when she says, Next word outta anybody and i ll be there mother too. This
shows squeaky is protective because when someone was being rude or acting mean she took charge
and protected Raymond from talking to them and she stands up and talks when she feels something is
wrong and won t go down without fighting for what she knows and believes in. This evidence proves
that squeaky is a memorable character by being protective throughout the

Case Study Superdrug
SUPERDRUG Case Superdrug has more than 700 stores in United Kingdom having more than 6,000
product lines. The primary motive of CPFR strategy was to decrease inventory so as to match the
sales, improve forecasting and maintain a healthy relationship with Johnson Johnson (its trading
partner because the company culture was similar to them). A blueprint of all the processes and
responsibilities of the partner were listed down by Superdrug so as to align the strategy of Superdrug
with J J with the CPFR process. A joint business plan or agreement was signed between the companies
in 2000. Collaboration was done by comparing the Sales forecast of Superdrug with the Order forecast
of J J. The collaboration process usually takes a week to complete. The IT department of both the
organizations validate the Data and send them through a Software known as Syncra . Then a
conference call was made by the Supply Chain Department of both the companies and reached to a
forecast number. The project manager would review the forecast and make further changes which is
implemented by the IT department and the process would repeat again. The results of using CPFR
technique by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 2. Mexico Trade Agreements Trade agreements will always help countries like Mexico. NAFTA by itself increased the economy of Mexico significantly by itself. The auto industry has taken off, skills have improved and manufacturing has increased and not just low skilled factory jobs (Beltrame, 2013). With increasing manufacturing, the export of Mexican goods have increased as well. The value of Mexican goods exported to the United States grew from $39.9 billion in 1993 to $210.8 billion in 2007, an increase of 437 percent (Sommer, 2008). At the beginning of the deal Mexico had the smallest economy out of the three. Now the Mexican economy is on par with Canada, allowing for an increase in Middle Class in Mexico. As you can see Trade agreements allow Mexico to increase productivity, allowed skills to improve and export more products. When America invested more into Mexico, the Gross Domestic Product increased by 50 percent (Sommer, 2008). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some of the negatives of Trade agreements are loss of jobs. While one country exports the other exports. The country that imports is replacing domestic products with foreign ones. Meaning that they only produce products to export and not to stay in the country. This causes people to lose jobs. The negative effects that trade agreements have had on manufacturing sector and this one is estimated to displace 159,000 jobs and increase our trade deficit with Korea by $16.7 billion (Keith, 2011). With jobs being lost by the importing countries, and increasing jobs in the exporting country it creates a deficit. While one country gains jobs and money the other creates a deficit for itself. • 3. The Imperfect Process Of Campus Sexual Assault Adjudication The Imperfect Process of Campus Sexual Assault Adjudication It s a statistic that has circled around the nation for years, one that imprints fear into the minds of young adults and rage into those that demand justice: 1 in 5 female college students will experience sexual assault in the duration of their college career (Clark), with only 20% of those rapes being reported to the police (Hefling). As a topic that is so highlighted in American society, there is a strict demand for an organized, thorough investigation that will result in justice served. Controversy regarding whether the colleges themselves or the criminal justice system should adjudicate the punishment for these vile crimes has arisen; some believe that as an actual crime, these assaults should be taken in a legal stance in order to serve justice at its fullest extent. Others believe that determining punishment through the court system is too nerve wracking for the victims and that by allowing colleges to do so is the only way they can avoid feeling skepticism by the police, juries, or courts (Know Your IX). However, when juxtaposing the capabilities of the colleges and the court system when it comes to the adjudication process, it is evident that the courts are more competent in determining punishments for campus sexual assaults. It has been argued that colleges are more equipped for attending to the emotional well being of campus sexual assault victims. Title IX, a federal gender equity law passed in 1972 ... • 4. Analysis Of The Article The Fox News Network In late September, the Fox News Network published an article calling into question the intentions of a West Point cadet after he wore a sombrero to a football game against the University of Texas at El Paso. In the article, Activist cries foul after West Point fan wears sombrero at game near Mexican border, author Lucia Suarez Sang comments on the outcry that ensued from the Hispanic community after a picture of the cadet was posted on the Academy s Facebook page. Was it inappropriate for the cadet to wear the sombrero? Was the Academy at fault for posting the photo? Can and should we protect others from feelings and emotions that are a result of politically incorrect expression? Cultural sensitivity is becoming an increasingly popular topic in media, on college campuses, and in the military. We now live in a world where the language we use is under such scrutiny that some are discouraged from expressing their true opinions for fear of being blackballed by their peers. Not only does political correctness limit free speech, it also fundamentally transforms the way we think by avoiding the topics that some simply do not want to discuss. Political correctness is raising serious questions at West Point, impacting students attending other colleges, and influencing individuals post graduation. Was the cadet misguided in his decision to wear the sombrero? Had it been a civilian, the answer would be significantly more straightforward. The First Amendment to the Constitution ... • 5. Essay about Child Development, Nature vs Nurture . The nature versus nurture debate is one of the oldest issues in psychology. The debate centers on the relative contributions ofgenetic inheritance and environmental factors to human development. Some philosophers such as Plato and Descartes suggested that certain things are inborn, or that they simply occur naturally regardless of environmental influences. Other well known thinkers such as John Locke believed in what is known as tabula rasa, which suggests that the mind begins as a blank slate. According to this notion, everything that we are and all of our knowledge is determined by our experience. For example, when a person achieves tremendous academic success, did they do so because they are genetically predisposed to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Babies begin to take in sensory experiences from the world around them from the moment of birth, and the environment will continue to exert a powerful influence on behavior throughout life. Geneticscan have a powerful influence on development, but experiences are equally important. For example, while the genetic code contains the information on how a child s brain may be pre wired, it is learning and experience that will literally shape how that child s brain grows and develops. Final ThoughtsClearly, genetics have an enormous influence on how a child develops. However, it is important to remember that genetics are just one piece of the intricate puzzle that makes up a child s life. Environmental variables, including parenting, culture, education and social relationships also play a vital role. Nature versus Nurture is a popular debate about whether our genetics, or environmental influences mold more of who we are. An example is whether you get your out going personality because of your DNA, or because you grew up in an environment that made you out going. Nature is your genes, Nurture is environmental influences.Read more: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_argument_of_nature_vs_nurture#ixzz29QTunXP3 The nature vs nurture debate is one of the most enduring in the field of psychology. How far are human behaviors, ideas, and feelings, INNATE and how far are they all LEARNED?These issues are at the ... • 6. Statistical Handling Data Coursework on High School Students Statistical Handling Data Coursework: High School For this handling statistical data coursework I will be investigating the heights and weights of students of years 7 to 11 in High School. Although this is a fictitious school the data is based on a real school. I will look for a trend in the heights and weights of the students to see if the taller they are, the more they weigh. This is my hypothesis. My Null hypothesis is that there is no correlation between height and weight, and my Alternative hypothesis is that there is strong, positive correlation between them. I will then investigate the heights of boys in years 7 and compare them to the girls, and then do the same in year 11. I will then be able to compare these two sets ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Height and weight is continuous data so only some graphs and calculations can be done. I have decided to select a sample size of 100 students because 1183 students are too many. I won t be able to compare the data well since I will have such a wide range of results. I also won t be able to fit all the information on one graph or one box plot making the comparison even more difficult. I will be able to cope with 100 students heights and weights better. In order to get a sample of 100 students, I will take a stratified sample of each year group, and then of each gender within the year groups. I will use stratified sampling because using this I can get a fair sample that is proportional and to the ratio of the original number of students within each year group out of the whole school. Once I have my stratified sample of each year group, I will use random sampling to choose which of the students I will take my data from. This is a fair way of sampling due to the fact that there will be no biased decision as to who is picked for their data. The following data is what I will use in order to take a stratified sample of 100 students: Year Group Number of Boys Number of Girls Total 7 151 131 282 8 145 125 270 9 118 143 261 10 106 94 200 11 84 86 170 Total 604 579 1183 To take a stratified sample of the year groups I will do the following calculations: Year Group Calculation Total (answer) 7 (282/1183) x 100 = 24 8 (270/1183) ... • 8. Common Misconception Of The Brain s Five Stages Of Sleep It is a common misconception that when we fall asleep, our brains go to sleep as well. This is most definitely not the case. Our brain is hard at work while we sleep; making memories, cleansing toxins, and many other activities. When falling asleep, our brains go through multiple stages, from triggering a loss in consciousness to highly erratic activity. Sleeping has five stages to it, the first being the state between wakefulness and sleep. This stage is often referred to as drowsy sleep due to the muscles in the body still being fairly active and the eyes roll around a bit. In this stage the brainwaves transition from erratic beta and gamma waves, which is the normal range of brain wavelengths when the body is awake, to less erratic alpha ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The brain activity during REM sleep is mainly mixed brain waves consisting of theta, alpha and beta waves. This is also the point in a sleep cycle where the body is basically rigid. The brain has shut off all muscle movements other than the ones that keep you alive. This stage is a prime example of how the brain is busy while we are sleeping, REM sleep begins with signals from an area at the base of the brain called the pons. These signals travel to a brain region called the thalamus, which relays them to the cerebral cortex the outer layer of the brain that is responsible for learning, thinking, and organizing information. The pons also sends signals that shut off neurons in the spinal cord, causing temporary paralysis of the limb muscles (Brain Basics). Being that REM sleep deals with learning, scientists believe this is the reason infants sleep a large amount of time and also why they are more susceptible to being woken up by the slightest noises. Since this stage of sleeping has a great deal of dreaming and brain involvement some scientists believe that dreaming is the brain s way of sorting out information it receives during sleep, creating a story out of what it gathers. REM sleep could be considered as a work out for your brain, helping us to make sense of what we experience throughout our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although they use the same original script written by Shakespeare, these two films are very different but both films look at the universal ideas of love and conflict through the setting and plot. The setting of the two films were very contrasting as Luhrmann has based his version of Romeo and Juliet at Verona Beach in America, he had his film based in the 20th century, with impressive mansions, expensive cars and fluorescent lights and guns instead of swords. • 10. Political Elites And Non Elites Among Nations Many consider political elites to be the upper echelon of society and of our generation. Specifically, political elites in many countries around the world, regardless of the type of government they possess, have the influence, wealth, clout, and savvy to determine the outcome of elections in politics as well as impact the lives of the general population, given their respective countries. Similar to the concept of Communism, the select few comprised of the elite group in certain countries make the majority of the decisions with no consequences or repercussions; regardless of how right or wrong that decision may be. The separation of elites and non elites among nations is extremely staggering mainly due to the fact that: the distribution of political power is skewed, leaders and elites are conscious of what they possess politically, they are coherent within the realm of politics (i.e. economic status, defense spending, campaign funding), conspire with one another when decision making, and they answer to no one higher than them because of their status. Two primary examples of countries with political elites present are China and Lebanon. Both countries, although they may not solely advocate such status, tie in political elites with their respective forms of government (Communism for China) and forms of religion (Confessionalism for Lebanon). Moreover, although both countries possess the capacity and discipline to survive and thrive without the presence of political ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Despite my efforts to give it my all to learn the language and adapt to the customs of this unfamiliar place, it seemed to be a challenge I would never overcome. • 17. Differences Between The Renaissance And Romantic Period... British literature is constantly evolving. This became overwhelmingly apparent in the survey of literature from the varying literary periods analyzed in English III. The reason for such is the ever changing nation in which the authors lived. The stark differences in life during the Renaissance and Romantic Era resulted in authors writing with the intention to convey different themes. Specifically, one key theme of the Renaissance was the role of God in people s lives, which manifests itself in John Donne s sermon Meditation 17 was well as John Milton s poem When I Consider How My Light Is Spent. In the Romantic Era, one theme around which writers tended to focus was the beauty and power of nature. This theme is overwhelmingly clear in William Wordsworth s poem The World Is Too Much with Us and Percy Shelley s poem Ode to the West Wind. A theme nearly omnipresent in the Renaissance was the role of God in people s lives. One major work it appears in is John Milton s When I Consider How My Light Is Spent. In this sonnet, Milton reflects on his blindness and its impact to his standing as a Christian. This is evident when he fondly asks, Doth God exact day labor, light denied? In other words, he is asking God whether he still demands good works that may not be possible to to his disability. The answer to such question is a clear no, as God doth not need... man s work. Moreover, this murmur elaborates its position, that whoever best accepts life s burdens ( His ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With an ever growing knowledge of technology, we have seen a major impact from Artificial Intelligence and it will continue to impact our lives. One future impact of AI is its use in the judicial system. Judicial systems exist all around the world, in one form or anther, each with different laws and policies, but all judicial systems can be significantly impacted by AI. However, the question that arises is on a moral and ethical basis, should AI be used in the judicial system? This issue brings much controversy as to whether AI can effectively make correct decisions on its own based on the evidence that has been presented to them and in which ways they are able to assist employees of the judiciary system. AI actually already play a role in the judiciary process. They are used in evidence and document research to make lawyers jobs much easier. I would suspect that AI use in data mining for e discovery might be one of the most helpful advancements. This would include the ability to examine data for contextual relevance (5 Questions On Artificial Intelligence). E discovery is a very popular tool with lawyers as it is able to perform tedious tasks, making their job much more time efficient. Artificial Intelligence has also begun making serious strides in systems that can notify and update lawyer s research when relevant changes to the law have occurred (5 Questions On ... • 19. Juice Vs. Green Tea The data above proves both our hypothesis and prediction wrong. We hypothesized that the lemon green tea would inhibit the growth of bacteria more than green tea. This is because along with having catechins from the green tea, which interfere with bacterial membrane processes, the lemon green tea had flavonoids from the lemon, which alter enzyme activity, and a low pH, inhibiting acid tolerance and the formation of bacterial biofilm. In both of tests, the green tea solution created a larger zone of inhibition than the green tea with lemon, which is why our hypothesis was wrong. The water was our negative control, so it created no zone of inhibition and the beach was our positive control, so it always had a zone of inhibition. From the both ... Individuals know mistakes will occur, but they do not understand how to nurture themselves. Because of this reality, people tear themselves apart, thinking it is the reasonable reaction. In Stephen Crane s poem, Untitled, symbolism and religious indicators illustrate the theme of self betrayal. Firstly, nature is typically fruitful; however, a desert is the antipode of this definition. Most plants cannot grow in the desert climate, creating a barren, unwelcoming environment; this is where Stephen Crane places his poem. The naked, bestial (2) creature the narrator sees is the only other living object in this desert, representing self destruction. Innate in one s being, self destruction sucks dry a once blossoming environment, turning oneself into a hell or purgatory like habitat. Life is difficult, yet self destruction makes one bitter. The narrator tries to appeal to the creature by calling it friend, (6) but this is not enough for it to stop eating the heart. Instead, the individual makes small talk. • 26. Summary Of Id, Ego, And Superego In Fablehaven The book series Fablehaven accurately portrays the three parts of the psychic apparatus, id, ego, and superego, created by Sigmund Freud amongst the three main characters. Kendra, the first main character introduced, represents the ego because at times she must determine to follow the rules and play it safe or break the rules to help her family. Seth, the second main character introduced, represents the id as he constantly acts on his own impulses without any regard to the rules which usually lands him in trouble. The last main character introduced, Grandpa, represents the superego since he always follow the rules of the preserve, as well as teaching them to Kendra and Seth, to ensure the safety of them all from the fable creatures. Kendra, Seth, and Grandpa create perfect examples of Sigmund Freud s id, ego, and superego. Kendra, the first character revealed to the reader, demonstrates the psychic apparatus the ego by representing the reason in situations that commonly occur between the Id and the Superego. The ego must make a choice between listening to the id or following the superego. Depending on the situation, if the ego sides with the id the superego can make the ego feel guilty. In the story Kendra, after weighing the odds and letting her personal id get the better of her, decides to follow Seth into the woods even though it stands against their grandfather s will. Upon the return of their sneaky adventure they think that they made it back without anyone noticing they left; however, that night at dinner their grandfather openly asks What do you suppose makes people so eager to break rules? (pg.59). Which in turn made Kendra feel guilty. Kendra felt a jolt of guilt (pg.59). In Contrast, Kendra could also represent the superego in place of the grandparents because she mostly follows the rules without thoughts of breaking them. Unlike her little brother, Kendra was not a natural rule breaker (pg.53) and If you don t get back in bed, warned Kendra, I m telling grandpa in the morning. In our system, any political party that hopes to win elections must build a coalition of support to receive a majority vote. In contrast, the DNC s website made it more difficult to find groups of people. Located at the very bottom of the page and including 18 different groups. • 30. Using A Sample Size Is Dependent On The Study Design Research studies need not only start with efficient study design to address the hypothesis of the study but also the determination of the appropriate number of participants that will be involved in the study. It is true that the sample size is dependent on the study design, on statistical analysis used to answer the study questions, and on the anticipated association between the outcome and the risk factor. The sample size should not be too large as it wastes money and time both to the investigators and participants in the study. It should not be too small as well because it may lead to inaccurate results causing a waste of time and resources. In addition, participates in a large sample size may be exposed to unnecessary risk. Therefore, careful attention should be taken while determining the appropriate sample size for any study as it raises the question of ethical practices. Any researcher should define the main objective of the study or the research question and the study design before selecting a representative sample size. Then the proportion of participants, and the value of the numbers to put in the formula is considered before determining the sample size. Kamangar Islami (2013) states that the non statistical consideration in determining the sample size are the availability of the fund, ethical issues, number of participants available, the novelty of the study, and any similar studies being conducted etc. The investigators give the rationale why their study is ...
