The importance of educating others on global citizenship is a very important factor to consider when it
comes to human rights for all. This type of subject is an important subject, especially when it comes to
educating others on global citizenship. Each and every individual should be educated on global
citizenship in a such way to bring about a world of greater justice. Global citizenship is a voluntary
association with a concept that signifies ways of thinking and living within multiple cross cutting
communities cities, regions, states, nations, and international collectives. This is all due to the practice

Athenaeus was a Greek writer, who wrote around the time of 200AD. He is the author of
Deipnosophistae, a piece of literature all about eating and dining traditions. Athenaeus is writing
during a time known as The Poseidonian Tradition; Poseidonios inspired a lot of Greek writers to
write and keep record of the Celts and their culture. Athenaeus quotes Poseidonios in his
Deipnosophistae as he has first hand experience of the Celts, having travelled around studying the
Celts. Poseidonios work only survives through the work of later authors, such as Athenaeus.
Athenaeus speaks of how Poseidonios observed the Celts during a feast, taking note of their customs,

In recent years, the Venetian lagoon has been under the threat of devastating over fishing. This tragic
exploitation of a resource is largely promoted by the fact that property rights in the lagoon are not well
defined (Rossetto, 2000; Nunes, Silvestri, Pellizzato, Boatto, 2008; Longo, 2003). This paper will
investigate the failure of current policies in the Venetian lagoon to promote a sustainable yield, and
aims to discover what variables of a successful common property regime are missing from the
Venetian case. The issue of common property regimes in Italy has been approached previously by
multiple economists. Casari and Plott (2003), and McKean and Ostrom (1995) have investigated
common property in the context of the unique case of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, a forestry
operation in northern Italy and successful common property regime which despite being a different
resource is faced with many of the same risks and struggles as those faced by regulators of the lagoon.
Conversely, Longo (2003) and Rossetto (2000) have addressed the failures of the current system in the
lagoon. To add to the analysis, this paper will synthesize this research to define what makes common
property regimes such as the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme capable of sustainably producing, while
the regime in the Venetian Lagoon ultimately results in devastating overfishing. In order to uncover

Homosexual people have been misrepresented and refuted their basic civil rights in America over the
years, especially during the late 1970s. During this time, Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected
official in California, was one of the most prominent spokesman on the issues surrounding gay rights.
In 1978 he gave a speech impacting the gay citizens of San Francisco and America, the anti gay right
wing movement supporters, straight allies of the gay movement, and politicians in general. His speech
known as the Hope Speech resonates with people even today as Milk attempted to address gay rights
and the importance of electing gay officials in office, using various rhetorical strategies such as
pathos, logos, and elevated diction. As a skilled speaker, Milk bridged the gap between the majority of
his audience who were not too familiar with homosexuality and those who were. In his speech he uses
pathos to persuade people to join or at least sympathize with his cause, logos to provide a logistical
argument with reason, and ethos to increase credibility. Throughout the speech Milk uses pathos to
connect emotionally to the different audiences he is addressing. To his straight allies, he proclaims that

He claims that this power, or monopolization has caused the NCAA to threaten Penn State with the
suspension of their football team altogether, which then lead to Penn State agreeing to the violations

Colon cancer claims the lives of 12 Australians each day and is the second largest cancer killer (1).
Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer in the Australian population after the age of 50. It
is essential that Australian men and women are aware of the aggressiveness and severity of the disease
(2) and the primary preventative methods. The Indigenous Australian population, in comparison to the
non indigenous population, have a higher prevalence of the disease and experience higher mortality
rates (3). Due to the lack of medical resources and awareness, men and women living in rural areas
have an increased risk of developing colon cancer (4). For these reasons, I have decided to conduct an
investigation on the significance, the primary preventative methods and the impact they can have on
the health and awareness of the Australian population.
I conducted my initial research by investigating the internet and books, both of which encompassed
the anatomy of the stomach and allowed me to gather a greater understanding of Colon Cancer. Bowel
cancer is a malignant growth that develops most commonly in the lining of the large bowel. The vast
majority of bowel cancers develop from growths called polyps . Not all polyps become cancerous. The
larger that a polyp grows, the more likely it is to become malignant (cancerous). Polyps can be easily
